(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson chaos on campers scamps.
I just the college experience is alittle bit different. Remember when you're you're
younger, Sam fifty three, itwas like the college experience. Now,
I didn't have the college experience. Many of you did, some of you
(00:33):
didn't, but many of you did. I left high school early, went
to Europe, tried my hand atsoccer, ended up going to radio over
there. It's been off and ona little over a decade there. But
I didn't have that college experience.Just wasn't my jam because soccer was my
dream and and you know, Ithought if I could become an apprentice,
(00:53):
I could play have a shot atleast, So you know, I tried.
Most people don't, but I did. And everybody's like, you're going
to miss the college experience. I'mglad glad I didn't. Especially Now,
what do I tell my kids,Hey, you guys want to spend You
want me to spend a lot ofmoney on you so you can extend your
(01:15):
childhood and then listen to people bitch, wine and moan about stuff that they
can never change and they only knowa portion of the story. Well that's
a. It's not very nice.Shit. No, that's honesty, is
what it is. College campuses rightnow, especially at big influential schools,
not your little state school kids, big influential private schools. And what would
(01:37):
you say is the main goal withcan I protest? I think the goal
is just showing our support for Palestineand demanding that NYU stops. I honestly
don't know all of what ny isdoing. Is there something that Yu's doing?
I really don't know. I'm prettysure there. Do you know what
ny is doing? Protesting here? That was more educated? I'm not either.
(02:07):
Support that sums up a lot ofit, and you blame TikTok for
that. We're gonna get in alot of stuff today when it comes to
TikTok and the band and the peoplefreaking out how we're having two different conversations.
The adults are like, look, this is really bad for us and
what it can do, the influenceit has, and and a lot of
what you're seeing now on college campusis in particular is because of TikTok,
(02:30):
the influence it has. Post somethingpositive about Israel, man, that post
isn't going to be seen post somethingcritical about Israel. Or pro Palestine.
Whoo, that thing's gonna take off. But I love that. I have
no why are you here? Idon't know nobody's ever honest, I'm trying
(02:51):
to get with this chick. It'salways women though. If you noticed that,
Oh, are you blaming the women, Well, they're easy to radicalize.
It's it understand that. Look wherewe're going in our world right now.
We have a serious issue with howwe're splitting Some people, in particular,
(03:13):
young women are going hard left.Man are staying center a little bit
to the right. But I justlove she has no idea. I'm just
here because I want to show supportfor these protesters and Palestine and May.
I don't NYU's doings. I don'tknow what's going on. Then you've got
Columbia and the clown that's leading that. It should alarm everyone that a university
(03:35):
that has claimed for years to respectand uphold freedom of speech and protests,
a democratic principle this country loves anddefense has abandoned that norm and seeks to
use police and military violence to crushour peaceful demonstration. Crush, crush,
crush your peaceful demonstration. Remember, these are the schools that if a conservative,
(04:05):
whoever it was, showed up right, speaker, professor, politician on
campus. Kids needed a safe room, like they were going to get attacked,
and they needed to run to thesafe room where they could ped alama
or they could chant, or somebodywould have one of those drums and another
(04:26):
person would put their finger around theglass bowl, right, and they could
burn incense and whatever so they couldfeel good for being triggered. But it's
okay if you talk about destroying anation, killing a bunch of people,
chasing down Jewish students and yelling Zionistsand surrounding them, that's okay. Apparently,
(04:50):
Columbia and all of you, whatthe effort you doing? Our demands
are the same. First of all, you don't get demand. It's not
the way this works. Our demands, our demands, your fine call them
wishes blank in one hand, wishin the other. See which one fills
(05:14):
up faster. You've disrupted classes. You've won in a sense because they've capitulated.
They've shut down school at Columbia forthe rest of the year. They're
forcing the professors who are Jewish towhat not speak up, to not go
to class, even when there wasa chance to of course, you've got
(05:34):
the outside agitators that are coming inthere, and we're going to discuss a
lot of this today. But thefact that you have demands and you're doing
nothing about it. Columbia and manyof these other places, you capitulate,
you give in. I have kids, in particular, I have a five
year old. Her name is Charlie. She is tough as nails. She
(05:58):
just take crap hell on wheels andif you give her an inch, she'll
take a mile. And threats andnegotiations and all of those things. Sorry,
you have to have ramifications, andyou continue to say, well tomorrow
we want you off campus, orwe're going to extend it a few days.
And we're going to extend a fewthat they understand there's no ramifications,
(06:23):
no repercussions, nothing coming that's goingto affect them. So they're going to
continue to push. Our demands arethe same, divest, disclose and amnesty
for all, and our community isstronger than ever. I just took a
drink of lime water, so althoughI don't drink, but it's been one
(06:46):
of those times. Amnesty, ourdemands. My god, I think this
character has been kicked out of schoolalready they've taken away all this stuff and
he's complaining. He's like, ohmy god, I can't eat and I'm
housing impoverished and burm insecure and allmy stuff. It's ever a manly guy.
(07:06):
Listen to his voice again. Ijust wanted you listen to him.
Our command itimy ant. Does somebodynewterter you bro? My god? What
have we allowed to happen? TikTokplays a huge role in this, and
we're going to talk about the rolethat TikTok plays throughout the day because they
(07:27):
are a huge part of this. And the whole banning of TikTok, which
I've been saying for a long time, is the right thing to do,
and even selling it at this pointin time. I don't know what you're
gonna get out of that, butto know that about a third or so
of young people are getting their newsand being influenced, and China is playing
a huge role. If they canthrottle and crush pro Palace, pro Israel
(07:55):
or even anything that may be seenas a fair minded critique of Hamas,
but they'll pump that opposite side up. The influence is happening. That's not
happening in China, but we're allowingit here and we can't. A lot
(08:16):
of stuff to get to today, including Trump in court but not that court
and him not actually there, butit's maybe the most important case he faces.
The High Court has never been askedto determine whether a former president deserves
immunity from prosecution, because before DonaldTrump, no former president had ever been
charged with a crime. Trump sayspresidents need protection from prosecution to weigh affairs
(08:37):
of state without feeling constrained. Butin February, a three judge Appeals Court
panel said, if Trump has hisway, former presidents would be quote above
the law for all time thereafter StevenSeagal was above the law once. It's
a movie. So we're going totalk about this this What could this mean
the Trump immunity case? If thetisbesides too, that's the Supreme Court the
(09:01):
United States decides to side with Trumpif you will and say yeah, they
have a certain form of immunity. What does it mean for all these cases?
It'd be very interesting. A lotof other things to get to today.
NFL Draft tonight, big time, the UFO in Vegas. It's been
a year. The guy that sawthe UFO and the creature is speaking out.
We're going to talk about that alot of other good stuff to get
(09:22):

mine mother's days, fast approach andgive her something she wants. Peace and
quiet. What do you mean theygot that isolation mode? She could just

she could do best sound quality, best fit, or maybe she's just zoning

by raycon dot com s last chedby Raycon dot COM's Last Chad Chad Benson
Show. You're listening to the ChadBenson Show. Hi, Hi, nice
(10:35):
to be too. Yes, Hilo, Columbia, no Spain. I'm actually
from Stop this video now. Ohit's very interesting. Somebody set up a
table in one of these colleges andsays, have a date with Miss Universe.
And it's the it's it's it's Iguess it's a contestant for miss Universe.
(10:58):
She's from Israel. Now, thereare some things going on in college
campuses. I hope you guys areaware of that. So some of them
are like, you better turn thisoff. Now, you know the usual.
They got their shag of air shirtsand things of that nature on.
But some of them, who alsohave some of those things on, decide,
hey, you know what, I'mat least have a chat with this
(11:18):
lady, right, I'm gonna giveher a piece of my mind. And
they have conversations and they start tolearn a few things Israel. Okay,
See I'm uneducated. The main thingthat I get from news is about the
women and children in Palistin. Itmakes Israeli seem to be bad with people
from the outside. It sometimes looksa little bit like you've got this big
(11:41):
bully, the bully being Israel, the underdog being Palistini. They're living in
very, very marsh conditions right now. Hamas has been the ruling authority in
Gaza. They haven't been taking careof their own civilian. Yeah, I
was companmedic I spent five months nearGaza and I saved how Silian's life.
I tweeted everyone, there's literally terrortunnels underneath Gaza. Imagine you have the
(12:05):
subway, but instead of subway likeunderneath the ground, you have just like
terror basis and that's Gaza. Ididn't know that, Bun. I didn't
know that. How are you andyour family knew a lot of people in
more than on October seventh. Youjust look at life differently. You've got
your families with her. I'm reallysorry to hear about who happened to your
friends. I really wish the wholeconflict with friend just want face sexually.
(12:26):
It's like our main goal. Wedon't want war. We never asked for
war. That's scary. I'm gladthat you helped hear. Your hero was
nice meeting you too. They say, guys, very interesting. First,
girls like I don't really know.So you're out here protesting. Yeah,
there's a lot of that out there. By the way, I just wish
one guy would be honest. Whyare you're out here? Well see that
(12:50):
check over there. Yeah, I'mtrying to hit that. So here we
are. Nobody's being honest. Theydon't know, they don't understand. Many
of them get their information from TikTok. And guess what that information, especially
when it comes to this, becausea lot of what you're seeing is being
fueled by information on the Internet andTikTok, and it is amazing to see
(13:16):
how this is happening. Think aboutwho's runs TikTok. Well, it's by
Dance, which is no, no, no, no, no, it's
China. It's China. Here's danAbrabs News Nation, CNN, many other
places you see him talking about proIsrael posts versus critical Israel post. Their
(13:37):
Times reports about a third of Americansunder thirty get their news from TikTok and
therefore through Byteedance, and therefore throughChina and whatever filter that they choose.
And many say that's especially the casewhen it comes to the war between Israel,
and Hamas, and an Axios analysisin October found that pro Palestinian hashtags
(13:58):
had almost doubled the exposure of proIsrael ones, and anti Israel sentiment on
the app has fueled the renewed pushto ban it. And by the way,
this is not just some crazy theory. I have seen it firsthand on
my own TikTok account. We've hadmore pro Israel content from this show blocked
or restricted, such as these postsquestioning the Gaza Health Ministry's death toll numbers.
(14:24):
You can see TikTok even says yourvideo is not eligible for recommendation in
the feed. That right there showsyou a lot. So a third of
young people getting information from TikTok influentialto say the least pro Israel or even
just and they're going to perceive proIsrael is. Hey, you guys have
(14:48):
a writ to you defend yourself. You're talking about what took place on October
seventh and critical of Hamas and what'shappening over there. We're going to throttle
that. We're going to put agovern on that so that doesn't spread.
On the other side, if you'recritical of Israel, well guess what welcome
(15:09):
to the party. That essentially meansthat the post is suppressed, it will
not reach a wider audience. Noother explanation, however, No such blocks
on things that seem more critical ofIsrael, such as our segment about the
aid convoy strike, or I asktough questions of Prime Minister Netnya, who
spokesperson those posts, Oh, theyget promoted. Wider audience sees it's happened
(15:33):
enough times to say this is apattern and that it's definitely intentional. Definitely
intentional. Of course it is.And that goes back to the whole reason.
And we'll talk a little bit laterabout influencers and why they're upset and
how we're having two different conversations aboutthis. But the forcing them to sail
(15:54):
is I think it's it's the rightthing to do to say people don't quite
get this, especially the young,Like said, two different conversations, they
come at it from like, welike the dances and we're influencers and that's
all that matters. And China's like, yeah, that's all they're doing,
and we wouldn't do anything. AndChina's whole thing is we're getting every piece
of information we can about you,and we are doing what We're influencing the
(16:18):
hell out of you and you don'teven know it. Yes, TikTok is
going to challenge it, so youdon't know if it's actually going to go
into into force. They'll try andgo to the course to prevent it from
happening. But from an individual's perspective, yes this is going to happen.
It doesn't mean that TikTok's not goingto be available to them. It may
simply mean that someone else is goingto own TikTok and own the data that
(16:40):
comes from it. So I guessthe answer your question sort of depends on
who you are. But this isvery real. This is a piece of
legislation passed by the House and theSenate of the United States and signed into
law by the President of United States. So short of some court saying it's
unconstitutional, this is about as realas it gets. The CEO has already
said he's going to fight this bigtime. Mick Malvady talked about the fact
itself this You got to sell thatalgorithm, that's the most important part of
(17:03):
it. And if you don't getthe algorithm, you're just getting some sort
of app and platform that you know, it's the special sauce you want buying
Kentucky Fried Chicken without the twenty threeherbs and spices is in Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Got a lot more to talk aboutwhen it comes to this. What's
going on college campuses, big casetoday for Trump and it has nothing to
do with porn actresses. That's allto do with immunity. We'll talk about
(17:26):
that as well. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four, twenty three at Chad BensonShow, to Twitter, your Insta,
your ax with all that stuff,Chad Benson Job, The Chad Benson Show,
(18:00):
Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. Thisis Chad Benson. We'll get back
to college craziness and a little bitjust craziness in general. We're sending a
lot of stuff to Ukraine, andI've heard of the argument about well they're
Nazis, which is stupid, noteven a dignify that at this point in
time, the lunacy of what's goingon in the argument. Here's the best
(18:26):
argument we weake in Russia that helpseverybody, including our allies in Europe.
It makes it much more stable forcountries around Russia who are also NATO members.
So we don't get drawn into something. Yeah, so we could talk
about the military industrial complex, etcetera, et cetera, the amount of
(18:49):
money. If we're honest with ourselves, as George Willis said, it's kind
of a rounding error. So isthere a win though, That's what I
always hear. What's the endgame? And that's the fair question. This can't
go on in perpetuity, and thereneeds to be an endgame. And Zelensky
needs to understand that. Like we'resending them some stuff, there's no doubt.
(19:11):
President Biden tell them we're sending Ukraineequipment from our own stockpiles. Then
we're were plenty those stockpiles with newproducts made by American companies here in America.
Patrod missiles made in Arizona, javelinsmade in Alabama, artillery shows made
in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. By the way, you just heard
the most honest thing he's ever said, without saying anything where he was trying
(19:37):
to embellish your story or even addto a story, or even tell a
story. And that story is allof that money, for the most part,
is staying here. We're getting ridof our old stuff. They give
it as a when you go toa grocery store, right and they bring
the older stuff up to the frontput the newer stuff in the back.
(19:59):
That's what's happening. And then hetalked about states where there's jobs, which
is always the big thing when itcomes to the military industrial complex. Jobs
and I like the fact that wehave a military industrial complex, even though
we can sit here and debate theyou know, the fact that they enjoy
war and they make money off ofit. But I also enjoy the fact
(20:22):
that we have the best financed militaryon the planet, with the most up
to date stuff. And as ourbuddy Mike Lyons, our military expert,
always says, it's the stuff youdon't know what we have that you should
be afraid of. That being said, there needs to be an off ramp.
Selenski needs to understand that what isthat off ramp. I don't know.
(20:47):
People say, well, they can'twin. Yeah, we've said from
the beginning, every day Ukraine survivesis a win. But there does need
to be an end game, justlike what we're seeing what's going on in
Israel with Hamas and Palestine. Alot of countries are great at getting into
stuff. It's the getting out ofit, and what does it look like?
(21:08):
That is a is a serious question, and we're gonna have to be
honest about this with Zelenski at somepoint. Look, we want you to
survive, we want you to win. It benefits everybody if you weak in
Russia. At the same time, this can't go on forever. So you're
gonna have to ask yourself in yourinner monologue, what is acceptable? Do
(21:33):
we draw the lines back to twentyfourteen. You're not getting back some of
that stuff, cry me and thethings that took. What is acceptable where
you walk out of here and youfeel like you won and he can hold
his head up high and feel likehe's got something out of it and that
his pride wasn't hurt. What isacceptable in this situation? But they're all
(21:55):
Nazis. Ah good, God,get over it. It's just so in
saying three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to
twenty three act you had Benson showsyour Twitter tweet at as texta program The
scoutis Trump question of immunity. PresidentTrump is claiming that he cannot be prosecuted
for his efforts to overturn the twentytwenty election because his lawyers will argue and
(22:17):
court presidents have quote absolute immunity fromcriminal prosecution for any official acts they take
as president. And remember the questionin the lower court they ask, so
if he wants Sealed Team six,it's never any of the other seal teams
to go out and to kill apolitical rival, he should have immunity.
And they were like, what,Like, we're really asking this question.
(22:41):
This is the question that you're asking. And it's funny because the president in
theory, I mean, you youhave people under you as well as you
ordering in many cases bombings of severalplaces, dronings of several places, and
killing people all over the world. There's kind of immunity there. Oh yeah,
(23:03):
there kind of is continue. Trumpsays that his efforts after the twenty
twenty election were official. He sayshe was trying to ensure election integrity.
So the Trump legal argument here isthat presidents must have that immunity from prosecution
or else they won't be able tofunction in office. The argument goes,
(23:23):
they'll always be looking over their shoulder, worried about potential criminal prosecutions brought by
partisan enemies, which is now whatwe're seeing. Right. What did Jonathan
Turley call it law fair, whichis happening with this lunacy in New York,
and you know what's happening in Georgia. Here's something though, I never
(23:47):
hear when they talk about this, the what if because they're always going to
point out it's a six to threeconservative majority. But what if Trump wins
his immunity here? What does thatmean? Well, automatically, the DC
case is gone. That's just gone, We're done, it's over. That's
(24:10):
the election interference. They'll tied itinto January sixth. That's not what this
is. Election interference. The casein mar A Lago, which is the
the documents case slash obstruction case thatI don't know what's ever going to happen
to that thing because you're how doyou many people I think are going to
(24:30):
Jack Smith. The thing we've talkedabout here is if you really want to
get this thing off the ground, you got to get rid of the classified
information because we're not going to findjurors that are going to be able to
get through this entire process so theycan get double secret super sworn in to
be have top secret classified information viewingparties. If you will in this because
(24:52):
you can't just go take our wordfor it. It was super top secret,
so you can go for a modestruction. But this is a big
deal, and not just for thispresident or former president, but going forward.
I think it's a really big deal. So it'll be interesting to see
this said, it takes about anhour today, so we'll find out about
that. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at shead Benson shows yourTwitter tweet at us text the program lunacy
(25:15):
on campuses. We know that alsooff campuses. And this is something that
you know as we talk about theTikTok stuff, as we talk about a
lot of these things. When itcomes to TikTok, the influence it has
is the fact that it's not justthe the the young, but the old
and everybody who is influenced in sucha way. And here is a lady
(25:36):
confronting Susan Sarandon, actress, uberprogressive. I know that all of those
myths about ladies and other undermining I'msorry or not, I'm you're denying.
You're denying that your actions that havebeen made in October seventh to so many
(25:56):
innocent civilians div eight thousand people, according to moving killed. According to this,
we have an appointment, we haveto. I'm sorry that you're supporting
a terror organization. They're coming foryou next, Susan, educate yourself.
Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Very interesting. The myth. See,
(26:21):
that's a big thing that you seewith a lot of these students that
are out protesting is they don't believeOctober seventh happened. They believe there was
an inside job. This is theirconsiracy, conspiracy, this is their blue
and eye. October seventh ever happened. The babies weren't killed, they weren't
put in ovens, nobody was raped, nothing happened. That was all fake
(26:41):
and it was just an excuse sothey could go kill the Palestinians. That
was it. And they're only killingwomen and children. They've never caught anybody
from mamas. It's it is it'shard to have a conversation when it's like,
I recognize what's going on in Palestineone percent. I recognize it,
(27:03):
I recognize the humanitarian crisisize I recognizethe horrors that are happening there. But
I can also say to myself, this is the domino effect of October seventh,
what happens. Though, when youtalk to a lot of these protesters,
and I've got a couple of friendswho are big time activists out there,
(27:27):
it's hard to have a conversation whenwe're on two different I guess you
know footings. I understand what tookplace in October seventh. In their mind,
it never happened. And so you'retrying to have a conversation with somebody
who doesn't believe that what happened happenedand that this is just an excuse.
(27:52):
Oh, we're gonna have more aboutthis. A lot of other stuff still

The US Transportation Department announced the newpolicy that will require airlines to give automatic
(29:23):
cash refunds within seven days when aflight is canceled for any reason, delayed
by more than three hours for domestictravel and more than six hours for international
travel, or if the airline changesany of your airports, adds connections or
downgrades your seat good that's what theyshould do. We're sorry we inconvenienced you
(29:45):
and you don't know how to flya plane. But here's a koopin sleep
over there in the corner, andwe'll try to get you back to Los
Angeles from Seattle via Buffalo. Weknow you have many choices. Thank you
for being screwed by us. Undercurrent regulations, the airlines decide how long
(30:06):
a delay must last before triggering refunds. Transportation Secretary Pete boodhaj Edge says that
era is over. This isn't justabout enforcing when something goes wrong, it's
making it less likely something would gowrong in the first place. But the
trade group representing the airlines argues customersatisfaction and air travel are at an all
time high and airfares are at anall time low when adjusted for inflation.
(30:29):
They say refund complaints have fallen sharplysince twenty twenty, with forty three billion
dollars in refund since then. It'sa lot of refunds. People are frustrated.
They are you know, and youlook, and the frustration is real.
So how many times are we talkingabout that. They overbook thinking well,
we're going to miss a few peoplearen't going to show up, then
(30:52):
they bump you. The way thatit works now is, you know,
with all these connecting flights, itonly takes one situation. Whether it's weather,
which is one of the things theycan cancel something for and get away
with it and try to reroute youand not have to worry about stuff.
Is the fact that they can't controlthe weather, at least not yet,
(31:12):
or can they. So that's notyou know, that's not on them.
But they don't have enough pilots, they don't have a crew shows up and
then all of a sudden that connectingflight doesn't connect. That starts the domino
effect and then you're screwed. Sowe'll see again how this rolls itself out,
(31:33):
and then they'll make it up insome other way. Now they're like,
you're gonna wear shoes on the plane. That's an extra ten bucks.
You're like, oh my god, wear sandals. That's all I'm saying.
Hey, speaking of travel, whenyou go places, understand, especially if
you're going to a different country, they have different rules, they have different
laws. Understand these things, andif you're not following the story couple with
(31:59):
the Turks and Caicos, and theyhad an issue with something they brought on
accident. Ryan Watson and his wifeValerie traveling to the Islands earlier this month,
their trip to Paradise turning into anightmare. As they headed home what
their bag flagged by airport security,Valerie telling ABC affiliate Koco that inside were
(32:19):
four bullets. They were charged withpossession of ammunition, their passports confiscated.
After eleven days, authorities dropping thecharges against Valerie, allowing her to return
home to Oklahoma. A nightmare. What the hell's a nightmare? Oh?
A nightmare? Yeah, bullets, four of them. Wow. I looked
(32:40):
at Ryan, I asked, Isaid, what are those? And he
was like, I think those aremy hunting deer, hunting bullets. And
that's the bag he uses for weekendtrips, and he took it on a
hunting trip in the fall. Andyou didn't take him out four bullets.
(33:00):
Four bullets basis twelve years now, they're not gonna put him in jail because
you're not going to. You maytell them, look, you can't come
back here. But if you wentand put him in jail, people are
gonna go Well, all they're gonnahear is Turk and Caicos. Screw up
there, you go to jail.I'm not going there. They need our
dollars more than they're worried about thefour bullets. But what you want to
(33:20):
do is send a message, andthe message is it's our country. We
want you here, we need yourdollars, and you want to enjoy yourself,
So come here. Don't be anass hat. They made a mistake.
But I just hope that they knowthat at the end of the day,
this was an accident. Well yeah, I don't think you're gonna overthrow
the island with four bullets. Haiti'slike, you should come here, come
(33:43):
here. We have even talk aboutHaiti lately, the failed nation state that
is so bad that if you've wetalk about what's going on in Gaza.
Obviously, by the way, Isee zero marches for Haiti. I'm gonna
start going to some of these protestsand just march for Haiti. Just march
(34:06):
for anything that has nothing to dowith what's going on with Gaza, what's
going on, Just march for anything. Nobody's out there, no talking about
Haiti. It is a failed nationstate not far off the shores of the
United States of America. It isessentially a nation run by pockets of warlords
(34:35):
and gang members with it is insaneand a guy named Barbecue, a guy
named Barbecue crazy. Nobody's talking aboutthat. Zero conversations about Haiti. It's
just like it's in the background. Why because it's not she It's one of
(34:55):
the things we've talked about today, and we've talked about it since day one.
Palestine for the last several years hasbeen the latest fashion for protesters.
Investments, blah blah, blah, blah blah. It's a fashion trend,
that's what it is, the realityof what's happening over there. And I
(35:17):
don't want to discount the pain andthe suffering and understanding that human beings are
paying a serious price over there forwhat is happening. But I want to
remind everybody October seventh started this horrificdomino effect that is going on, and
that has always left out of allof these things. And you've got a
(35:40):
group of young kids who get allof their information from TikTok, and there
is zero thought that Israel can doanything right outside of them being colonialist and
evil and bad, and that Octoberseventh wasn't real. And if your starting
(36:00):
point is this never happened, that'sa hard situation. No matter how much
you show them that it did happen, it doesn't matter. Three two,
three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
Shows your Twitter, tweet at ustext to program. If you miss any
of the show, grab the podcast. Much appreciate Chad Benson. Joe,
this is the Chad Benson Show,Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is
(36:50):
Chad Benson. It's the economy stupid. Our economy is bourbon is it?
It's very interesting? What about thatGDP right the way we look at a
lot of things. They celebrate stuffbecause it's working. How do we do
Reflecting an economy under pressure from highinterest rates, US growth slowed sharply to
one point six percent last quarter, according to the Commerce Department's GDP report,
(37:14):
which measures the economy's total output ofgoods and services. Thursday's report, showing
the economy slowed drastically from the finalthree months of twenty twenty three, when
growth was at three point four percent. The economics slowed down the result of
high interest rates that are taking atoll on borrowing and spending as the Fed
continues to try and rein in inflation. It's working, it's not. There's
(37:36):
nothing else you can do. Yougot to stay steady. You have to
if you're the Fed. You can'tif you lower interest rates. Now,
we talked to our buddy Zach Abramare financial guru. We're gonna have to
have them on tomorrow, probably talka bit about this. This shouldn't be
a shock to people. We talkedabout it the we've pumped so much money
(37:59):
into this thing, but interest rateshave now finally caught up. And I've
talked about the fact that there arethose two economies out there. You're the
producer, you're an employee. Theemployer you feel things are okay, then
you become the consumer, and that'swhere things are ugly and credit is tight.
(38:21):
Oh it is. People aren't buyinghomes because the interest rates and the
expense of where homes are, andit's not that many homes on the market,
so that automatically puts a tough thingout there for people trying to buy
homes because they're having to bid againstpeople who maybe have cash. Then you've
got your interest rate, when itcomes to your car loan, your credit
(38:42):
cards. It all adds up,and we're not growing the way that we
should be. It is the economy. We could sit here and talk about,
well, well did Trump have sex? Well, the port star,
she's not a star. She wasan actress. Okay, she was a
mattress. Maven, you will,oh, jeez, I don't care,
and that that case is stupid andit's embarrassing. It really is. It's
(39:07):
embarrassing for Trump for what he did, but it's stupid because it should never
have been brought. The immunity casethat he's gonna hear today, that's a
big deal. But you watch thenews, they're ignoring what's going on like
it's a blip and then it's rightback to do you know Donald Trump had
sex with an adult actress? Nobodycares. It's not illegal. Actually it
(39:30):
is in New York if they hadsex in New York. We talked about
that last week. When people say, you know, it's not illegal,
actually having an affair is. It'sa misdemeanor. And I think it's only
been tried like twelve times since theearly nineteen hundreds. But it is illegal.
But you couldn't make it a felony, so they didn't try that one.
(39:52):
But that's all the media cares aboutyou and I go to work every
day, gas prices kicking you straightin the grundle. The cost of life
is talking to my mom yesterday, like, I don't know how people do
it. I mean, I'm blessed, yeah, but life is expensive.
(40:13):
I mean, I'll throw it outthere. You know, there's times it's
like I've got my other businesses andthings are well, but you look up
at the end of the months,You're like, who is hit me tight
one? Why is that? Becauselife is expensive? I got four kids,
They're expensive. They're like, Ineed to eat. I'm like,
do you really? I mean, but then I think to myself, like,
(40:37):
how does an average family who isn'tdoing as well as I how are
they doing? How are they makingit? And that's most people. Those
things matter. The other stuff isjust noise, and inflation is going to
play a massive role in the economyin what is coming in November. And
(41:00):
you think about all of the thingsthat we are are going through right now,
the college campus craziness, the wars, you know, these things that
are happening when you go to bedat night the end of your day,
you're thinking about how am I goingto pay this? I gotta rob Peter
to pay Paul. But now Igotta rob Peter and Paul to pay Mary.
(41:22):
Now I gotta rob Peter, Pauland Mary to pay my car insurance.
And that's where most people are atthis point in time. That's what
they're thinking about. I don't knowif I could take out a second to
get a pound of bacon. MaybeI'll just go bacon free this month three
two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three
acts had been to show to Twitteryour instant all of the other things.
(41:45):
Meanwhile, there is a case thatinvolves Trump that is interesting Supreme Court.
The High Court has never been askedto determine whether a former president deserves immunity
from prosecution, because before Donald Trump, no former president had ever been charged
with a crime. Trump says presidentsneed protection from prosecution to weigh affairs of
state without feeling constrained. But inFebruary, a three judge Appeals Court panel
(42:08):
said, if Trump has his way, former presidents would be quote above the
law for all time thereafter, abovethe law for all time thereafter, his
argument is that take for instance, the election, because that's what this is
about. I know they're argument. So that means that, you know,
their big argument in the lower courtsthat the president then can assassinate his rivals
(42:32):
using sealed Team six and get awaywith it and having immunity, which you
always got to go to the extremes. The argument though in this situation is,
look, I thought the election wasstolen and in doing so, I
felt that what I was saying, what I was doing was right, and
(42:53):
I should have immunity for prosecution forthat belief. And that situation now the
committing of a crime as opposed toyou know, and and this has a
lot of bearing on what would happenand say, the DC case in you
know what everybody calls the January sixthcase, not what is election interference case?
(43:16):
And don't think you have any bearingon mar A Lago And obviously the
Stormy Daniels and the Rico thing zerobearing on that in Georgia. But this
would put a real you know, kick to Jack Smith and the at least
the federal trials, not the statelevel trials. So we'll find out today.
(43:38):
And this has a lot of implicationsgoing forward, not just for this
former president, for Presidents in thefuture three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twentythree at Shed Benson Show with your Twitter,
tweet at US Text to Program.Brains getting bigger, IQ's are shrinking.
Researchers at Northwestern University have found thatstarting at about two thousand and six,
(44:00):
the average IQ score began to decline. That's around the time the Internet
was booming and smartphones came along. The brain has a philosophy use that are
lose it. Psychologist Lee Richardson headsthe Brain Performance Center in Dallas. We're
not using a lot of it,and we are losing it. She agrees
with learning specialists who believe that teachinghandwriting, especially cursive, to our kids
(44:22):
can help to reverse the IQ decline. That is interesting. Do you still
remember, I'm talking to some ofyou a little bit older, pre smartphones
and the Internet. Do you rememberyour phone number from when you were a
child. Oh yeah, I totallydo. I know my phone numbers from
(44:42):
what I know, my friend's phonenumbers from when I was a child,
and the US that are lose thething, and that two thousand and six
thing points out, so much rightthere, because we got an extension of
our brain and in our world nowthat can hold everything. That's all we
need. Now you couple all thestuff we have now coming out that's two
(45:04):
thousand and six. Then you throwin smartphones, then you throw in social
media, then you throw in theTikTok world where intention spans are virtually nil.
Eh so i q's are going down, but we have more access to
knowledge. We're just choosing now, apparently to keep it on the computer.
Some of you are going, Itotally know my phone number from when I
(45:27):
was a child, and I don'tknow why, because your brain needed it,
used it. How many phone numbersdid you know as a child,
Probably a ton. How many doyou know now? Probably none. Whenever
I go to the store and they'll, you know, ask you to put
in the phone number for you know, to get the discount or whatever the
rewards points, it's always my wife'sphone number, and I'm like, I
(45:50):
gotta look it up. Now.That's where we are. Three two,

Arizona stories, abortion, fake electors, we discussed Chad Benson. Joe,
(47:05):
you're listening to the Chad Benson Show. Three Republicans joined Democrats in Arizona's
House to pass the bill the repealthe eighteen sixties era abortion ban. The
final vote was thirty two to twentyeight. Until now Republicans had successfully blocked
the bill for two weeks. Thebill now needs to go to the Senate,
which has gabbled out until next Wednesday. Two Republican senators have already said
they will support the repeal effort.Alex Stone EBC News. Good, it's
(47:31):
one hundred and sixty four years old. Get rid of it, Chad,
you don't understand there's already something inplace that is everything that the Republicans wanted
predobs fifteen weeks. That's it.Fifteen weeks. I think, you know,
(47:52):
it's funny when we talk about alot of these things, you get
these people who they're rhinos or they'renot you know, mag or whatever it
is. I feel like there's alot of conservatives and Republicans out there who
are fighting to not let crazy ruinthe party. Oh oh yeah, we
did, hear from House Speaker Benoma. He took to the floor. He
(48:14):
said he was very disappointed, sayinghe it appears that Democrats believe abortion should
occur with no limits and no regulations. He has made it very clear he
disagrees with this. He wants thislaw to stay in place. Why it's
one hundred and sixty four years old, and it's just it's ridiculous. It
(48:35):
was pre statehood by a lot.Doesn't help you in a swing state.
That will get people that are normallynot consistent voters that find that, hey,
we need to show up for this. And if you're here's my thing,
I read the room, don't mostpeople, well, you would think
(48:58):
what is the room? We'll saythe rooms of the United States. And
let's say in the Bible Belt, this has been on a few ballots already,
and in the Bible Belt they havevoted in many cases overwhelmingly to say,
hey, look we should restrict theweeks, but not the choice,
(49:22):
so you don't get in perpetuity anhour before we can club the baby if
it comes out or whatever, youknow, which the extremes and again they
dominate too much. But fifteen weeksright, twelve weeks seems about right.
But they're just you know, theythought, no, this is this is
good. One hundred and sixty fouryears seems like a solid move. Most
(49:42):
Arizonans do not support unrestricted abortion.I vote no, Ben Tema right there,
and it's not unrestricted. This thethe fifteen week ban would go into
effect. So the fifteen week choiceban, whatever you want to call it,
would go into effect. Take thisa off the Democrats plate when it
comes to the massive amount of thingsthat they think that they're going to be
(50:07):
able to come after Republicans for andit's not just about Donald Trump. Think
about down ticket this November and howthis will play out because Trump winning and
then losing the House in the Senateas life as hell and no doubt about
that. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chadminton shows your Twittertweet at is text the program keeping in
(50:29):
Arizona. Seven attorneys or aids affiliatedwith former President Trump appear to be indicted
in Arizona over alleged efforts to overturnthe twenty twenty election in that state.
They include Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadow'sattorney, John Eastman, and Christina Baum,
the Republican National Committee Senior Council forElection Integrity. The indictment makes references
(50:52):
to those affiliated with Trump, butdoes not name them. Arizona's Attorney General
says the names will be unredacted aftereach is served. The indictment not a
good look, there's no doubt aboutthat. Not a good look at all.
These were the fake electors, Sothey were going to send fake electors
to DC say no, we're thereal ones, and we you know,
(51:13):
so this is the issue, right, this is the issue that Republicans are
going to have in some of theseplaces, and right now, you know,
people's I'm surprised they went through itright now. I think they're looking
across the board, but they're here'swhat they're not doing. And here's what
Chris mays, the AG is notdoing here in Arizona. She's not going
after Trump. She's going after thethe the circle around Trump, but not
(51:37):
Trump himself because we know that thatbrings a lot of chaos. And then
it looks what political I think she'strying to figure out, Hey, were
these people really scheming to do something? Based on this indictment from the Arizona
State Attorney General that there was areal effort, documents, paperwork, lobbying
that was done to really build thisalternate slate of electors to say outright that
(52:00):
in these people's opinion, Joe Bidendid not legitimately win the twenty twenty race.
In their eyes, it was DonaldTrump, and clearly they would do
anything possible, even law even allegedlycommit a crime to make that happen.
And there is a paper trail, there's no doubt about that. Based on
(52:20):
our reading of the indictment, itappears Donald Trump is unindicted co conspirator number
one, and it basically means thatDonald Trump was a part of the actions
and activities, some of which obviouslyillegal based on the Interney General's interpretation of
actions. And thus those individuals, including Jrudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows, were
indicted for their actions. So they'regoing to have to answer for it.
(52:44):
And this is the way I lookat it too. If you believe that
it was stolen, you're gonna haveevery opportunity in court to prove that it
was stolen. All the information yousaid, you have, all of this
stuff that you said you have toback all of these things up, you
will now have the opportunity to provethat that's it. And you know,
I know Chris Mays, who's theage. She's nice, she's a good
(53:07):
lady. You know, I don'talways agree with her, do I think
this is the right thing to do. I think the smartest thing she did
was didn't put Donald Trump into thisbecause it turns it into a freak show.
And so her thought is he wassaying things, they conspire to do
something, and this is the bestthing that we can do. So it'll
(53:30):
be interesting to see how this playsitself out three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twentythree at Chad Benson Show, is
your Twitter? You could tweet?Anis you can or whatever the hell it's
called ax atis that sounds. It'salways going to be tweeting. I was
talking to a couple of people theother day who are big in the computer
world nerds, and they're like,it's always going to be tweet. It's
always going to be Twitter, allright, And I just said, it's
(53:50):
like Prince, right, it's theguy formerly known as Prince. We could
you could change the name all youwant, right, Nobody calls, you
know, nobody says, hey,I'm going to meta still say Facebook.
So it is what it is.It's a Chad Benson Show, the Chad
(54:15):
Benson Shoe, independent Thoughts, independentlife. This is Chad Benson. After
(54:40):
months of back and forth, theSenate passed a ninety five billion dollar military
aid package for our allies Ukraine,Israel, and Taiwan. President Biden signed
it into law. It's interesting notonly does the bill send money and weapons,
it also requires the Chinese company thatowns TikTok to either sell it in
a year or be banned nationwide, which is terrifying. I mean, without
(55:02):
TikTok, where will I watch videosof wealthy teenagers crying in their cars.
It's a lot of people are upsetabout this, but there are a lot
of good reasons why the Chinese governmentshouldn't be in our pockets. So just
for context, this is a partiallist of some of the American apps and
websites that are banned in China.Google, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit,
(55:22):
Instagram, Pinterest, Signal, Vimeo, The Times, The Post, NBC
Chat GPT, and lastly, TikTokis banned in China. When a Chinese
app is banned in China, there'sprobably a reason for it. Yes,
the reason is they're China. First, TikTok is banned in China. He's
not joking. We've talked about thatall of the other stuff. We freak
(55:45):
out, Oh my god, whatwill we do? We need to get
rid of it. I just Idon't think people understand that they're not our
pals, they're not our friends. They are using us as a tool to
prop themselves up through capitalism and thefree market, to make money so they
(56:07):
can pay for all their stuff. And because they understand that real communism,
the way that Zoviet Union's trying todo is we'll never work, can't.
It's failed everywhere, despite what thekids on college campuses think. We'll get
to them in a minute, butthis is a battle, and I don't
(56:30):
think people understand that. I reallydon't. I think, and especially a
younger generation, because the younger generationcomes at this in a much different way.
They see TikTok and it is funfor them. They don't understand the
influence it has over them, whatthe algorithms, and in particular the Chinese,
because I don't buy it, Idon't I know what they're doing.
(56:53):
I know what they're doing. Everybodywho has half a brain, even though
we found out that the brains aregetting big, but the IQs are getting
smaller. A little while ago understandsthe influence they're trying to have and they're
having on our young people. Besidesthe you know, we're always worried.
I think in even the way thatthe government comes at it is they come
(57:19):
at it in a way where, well, they you know, they've got
our information. It's not even somuch about the information that they're gathering,
the data they're doing that all overthe place. It's the influence to me,
that is a bigger issue. They'reinfluencing the young in a way to
have a disdain for our country.Oh one hundred percent. They're influencing the
(57:45):
young here to hate what it isto be America. It's not just about
funny videos. We talked earlier. You know, we'll probably play it again
a little bit. You know.Dan Abram's talking about the fact that there's
a perfect example what's going on inthe college campuses where he talks about when
he does his show and he wantsto put out something on TikTok and it's
(58:09):
positive if you will about Israel, that it never gets any views. It
gets throttled. If it is criticalof Israel, it gets tons of views,
and it gets throttled in the otherdirection where they put the you know,
the gas pedal down. So asmuch as the data issue is a
(58:30):
big issue with TikTok, the influencefor me, it may be a bigger
issue because we know China is gatheringdata. You know, we talked to
our experts here. You know,Gordon Jang a perfect example. You know,
an expert who understands China probably betterthan anybody else out there, who
will tell you they will gather allthe information in the world and don't even
(58:51):
know what it is and how todisseminate it. They'll figure that out later,
but the influence they see here istremendous. Mick mail Vaney was at
actually talking about this, you know, work with Trump, and I find
what he says because you know, the whole thought process of you know,
should they sell TikTok and they forcea sell of TikTok and you know,
(59:12):
maybe they can, maybe they can't. But he talks about the influence side
of it with this is driving homeand I'm glad that we're having this conversation.
Is that this is the Chinese government. I mean, Dan, you
and I are old enough to rememberthe Soviet Union. Can you imagine going
back to the nineteen sixties or nineteenseventies and giving the Soviet Union control over
the dissemination of news in the UnitedStates of America or a dramatic play into
(59:35):
the television markets in the United Statesof America. Why we treat China today
any differently than we did the SovietUnion during the Cold War, I don't
know, But my guess is thisis a step in the right direction.
Excuse me, I happen to thinkthis is a step in the right direction.
I do think by Dance will besold. The question is whether or
not it is the algorithm, whichis really what this is, or just
the brand. The TikTok brand withoutthe underlying technology is probably not worth that
(59:59):
much. It's that system that peopleuse to sort of give you the information
you want to see that encourages youto watch it more. That's got the
true value. If Bite Dance willsell at the then TikTok will be sold
and be successful. If not,I guess as it goes away. Yeah,
it's like buying Kentucky fried chicken withabout the twenty three IRBs and spices.
You don't get the recipe, Well, then why am I buying this?
(01:00:20):
The influential side of it to methough, And he talked about the
Soviet Union. Imagine going back tosixty seventies eighties having them having influence.
I mean, we had the RedScare. Go back and look at you
know what happened in Hollywood and areyou a communist in this? That and
the other? Here? The influenceit has tremendous. Three two three five
three eight twenty four to twenty threeAt Chad Benson shows your Twitter, tweet
(01:00:43):
at us text the program breaking newswhat yeah, yeah, We've got breaking
news right now. So breaking newsrooster. Harvey Weinstein conviction in New York
has been thrown out. Your Peel'scourt said, yeah, the judge,
(01:01:06):
you handled this case all wrong. You allowed a bunch of people who had
nothing to do with this case tocome in and testify about their experience and
this wasn't about that. Now he'sstill going to remain in jail. He
got twenty three years for that. He's remaining in jail right now though,
because he got sixteen years for thecase in Los Angeles. But Harvey Weinstein's
(01:01:30):
case in New York. Hashtag metoo, hashtag thrown out? Oh,
Chad three two three five three eighttwenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
Show. It's your Twitter, yourInstagram, all of this stuff. A
lot of stuff still to get totoday. There's so much stuff. We're
talking a bit about the NFL Draftcoming up that is tonight. Who's going
(01:01:51):
to be number one? Is itgoing to be? Is it going to
be mister Williams? Caleb Williams outof USC JJ McCarthy. I mean there's
so many core are they going totrade trade away their picks? I mean
trade away for more picks somewhere downthe line because I think, hey,
you know what, I can geta good quarterback at ten because a lot
of these other teams don't need agood quarterback. So and we're also got
(01:02:14):
some stupid information about the NFL Draft, like who is the number one pick
ever? Ever? Ever? Threetwo, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at YouD Benson Show, to Twitter,
your Instagram, you see uh yesterday. Maybe we'll talk about a little bit
later more in depth. The moneyin sports because people are still talking about
(01:02:37):
Caitlin Clark and her money. AndI find it to be interesting because PGA
Tour is handing out loyalty bonuses andWe've got some numbers on those, and
wow, it pays to be loyal. But I'm asking myself, if I'm
(01:02:57):
one of these players and I sawthat what live off me and what you're
giving me, maybe being disloyal wouldhave paid more. Oh interesting, very
interesting, Borer Capital. So Inew report today that people that are close
to retirement have no savings for retirement, a lot of them, and many
(01:03:19):
of them aren't looking at retirement ina different They're looking at a totally different
way that it's a second or thirdact in life rather than just do nothing.
Interesting though, how many people arenot prepared? So why don't you
get yourself prepared with our buddies overboor Capital. That's what I want you
to do to get a free riskreview today. You get one of these
things in life that's a retirement, whether it's your second or third act and
(01:03:42):

last year? Remember it? Oh, he's speaking about it. It's been
one year. Traumatized, say theleast Chad Benson Show. A hashtag me
(01:04:47):
too, hashtag immigration reforms, hashtaghelp. I'm trapped in a hashtag factory
and I can't get out the ChadBenson Show. President Joe Biden signed a
bill that could potentially ban TikTok inthe US. The bill has passed without
objection. Emotion to reconsiders laid onthe table. My first reaction to seeing
the news of the bill passing wasjust frustration. Was definitely a shock that
(01:05:11):
couldn't really grasp my head around thefact that something was being banned in the
United States. The bill requires TikTokto find a new owner within nine months
or face a nationwide band I thinkthat this is a really big mistake on
behalf of the Biden campaign especially, and it's going to really affect how young
voters turn out well, first ofall, and we've been talking about throughout
(01:05:35):
the day because I think it's veryimportant what we're seeing in college campus.
The correlation here is very real, what we're seeing on college campuses and how
TikTok operates. And Mick mulvaney talkedabout it last night. We placed him
that a little bit later, buttalked about the fact that, hey,
we wouldn't allow Russia back in theheights of the Cold War into our country
(01:05:57):
to spread all of this disinformation, miss information, and that's exactly what TikTok
do. Ess About thirty percent ofyoung people or so get their news every
day only from TikTok. They're lookingat it because they think, look,
I make bouquets or I make piesor I'm an influencer or whatever. They're
coming at it not from a securityissue, not from an influencer issue that
(01:06:21):
China can have on the United Statesand the young. They come at it
from a different point, and thatpoint is makes me happy and I make
money off of it. That's wherethey're coming at these influencers. Continue.
We do not want to ban TikTok. We're not trying to ban TikTok.
We're basically saying we got to payattention to who the owner of TikTok is.
(01:06:44):
It's in terms of national security issues. Despite national security concerns, President
Biden launched his own campaign account onTikTok ahead of the twenty twenty four presidential
election, trying to reach young votersGame or Halftime show, Can you Jason
Kelcey or Travis Kelcey on concern that'sgreat, chips, these pulled a complete
one eighty and you know, turnthis whole TikTok thing like, no,
(01:07:05):
I'm going to support this, youknow, the ban of removal of it,
even though that's how you know,a lot of my campaign is used
to reach younger voters, right,Yeah, understandable, and but it's it's
an odd situation that this won't gointo effect until after the election, and
even how do you enforce that?Because people are going to find a way
(01:07:27):
to get around it. We allknow that through VPNs and certain things like
that, they're going to be ableto have it. How do you even
enforce it? What kind of stuffis going on behind and let the scenes,
and let's not forget there is goingto be a court situation for sure.
This is the TikTok CEO. Makeno mistake. This is a ban,
a ban on TikTok and a bandon you and your voice. Politicians
(01:07:49):
may see otherwise, but don't getconfused. Many who sponsored the bill admit
a TikTok ban is the ultimate goal. Rest assured. We aren't going anywhere.
We have confident and we will keepfighting for your rights in the courts.
Yeah, you know, El's foughtfor our rights, beastie boys,
what the hell for our rights?Mostly to party, not to influence elections
(01:08:10):
and or crazy information. But theydid fight for our right to party,
There's no doubt about that. Forme, I do make an income on
TikTok, but even more than that, it's the fact that I have a
community on there that can't be foundanywhere else online, and it's a little
unfortunate that we haven't had the sameenergy when it comes to things like reproductive
health, when it comes to guncontrol legislation, when it comes to a
(01:08:30):
lot of issues that Americans are thinkingabout every single day. I think there's
a push for creators and lawmakers aliketo have more platform transparency. There are
ways to reform these platforms without banningthem entirely. All of this just goes
to show that the people making thesedecisions really are out of touch with the
real needs of young people. Again, you're coming at it in a much
(01:08:54):
different way. All the things youheard there when it comes to TikTok were
about me. This it's not aboutthat. It's not about what you're saying.
It's not about any of those things. I am one hundred percent for
free speech outside of saying, hey, let's kill a bunch of people and
you know. Let mean, youguys know what that's about. We don't
need to relitigate everything and have toalways preface something with will let me tay,
(01:09:15):
But understand this, this is aboutChina, the influence that China has
on our young people. This iswhat this is about. Pushing things.
We heard it earlier. Dan Abram'stalking about the fact that when he posts
something negative compared to positive about Israel, how the positive one gets told it
(01:09:42):
goes against community standards and it getsthrottled, so that means, hm,
they put a governor on it,so it can't reach as many people.
And on the other side, ifit is anti Israel, as they you
know, some people would say,or if it is critical of Israel or
pro Palestine in any way, shapeor form, it gets bumped up.
(01:10:04):
That's influencing. And to say thatChina has zero association with Byte Dance and
any of this is a lie. It's an absolute lie. Three two,

(01:10:24):
a year ago? It's been ayear. God, I can't believe it's

reported it, youngster, and thenthe cops saw it and it was chaos
and craziness. He's finally speaking outa year later in Man Nature the Other

were in the backyard, Pice inthe truck, and then ount know where
we just see a big light fulldown and missing, a crashing of the

gyang creeker in front of me,the alien whatever you guys want to call
it, the alien demon? Whatare you what? Do you believe it
(01:11:06):
is a demon? A demon?Yeah? So maybe that's changed that once
you thought it was an alien, now you believe it was a demon.
Yeah. I mean, I don'tknow what it is, you know,
honey, Goutt knows what it was. But I'm thinking it's like something bad,
you know, not a good thing. You could see like he was
breathing, like he was like likepissed off, like he wants to do
something, and he was looking atyou, yeah, looking at me.
(01:11:26):
Did he say anything? Well,I don't remember. He was growling like
a dog like ah, like hewas growling. He is struggling with this,
by the way, big time. And of course people came. He
got it's all fake. If yousee some of the video, you're like,
there's something going on there, becauseeven the cops were terrified. When
did it end? As soon asI closed my eyes, I guess I
don't know. I think I waspraying something to that and then just let
me go. That's when I wentinside, and you know something, my
(01:11:48):

your body. Oh yeah, Icouldn't move. I couldn't move. Yeah,
you were paralyzed at the side ofthis thing. Yeah, I couldn't
move, and you were looking atit for thirty or so seconds and then
all of a sudden it was gone. Yeah, that's pretty creepy. A
lot of people think that. That'sjust hard to believe, you know.
Like I said again, they canthink of whatever they want. What do
(01:12:10):
you say to the people who believethat your family just made this whole thing
up to try to get attention,Nickol, Bully, whatever the one.
You know, I'm not doing itfor If I did it for frame,

We'll talk about that a lot ofother stuff. Chad Benson Show. This
is the Chad Benson Show, IndependentThoughts, Independent Life, This is Chad
(01:13:26):
Benson Chaos on the campuses. What'sgoing on in college campuses? Well,
they're learning a lot. They understandeverything, and that's why they're protesting.
They get the nuance of what's happeningbetween Hamas and Israel. They understand You
and I we don't get it.We don't understand it. They do.
(01:13:47):
And what would you say is themain goal with Canights protest? I think
the goal is just showing our supportfor Palestine and demanding that NYU stop.
I honestly don't know all of whatNYU's doing. Is there something I really
don't know? I'm pretty sure there. Do you know what ny is doing
is protesting here? That was moreeducated. I'm not either. I there
(01:14:15):
and you came down support. Yeah, so that's what we're doing. So
I'm here you guys while we're hereagain. It is this for animal rights,
climate change, women's rights, it'sabortion, Palestine. Okay, I
gotta check. I don't I gota what it now? N Yu.
(01:14:36):
We're here because Waagan, we're helping, we're helpers. We're just we're four
against we're four we're for Palestine againstIsrael. Okay, So are you sure?
Are fantastic? And we're mad atn Yu because Jerry Linda, No,
No, you guys don't know anybody. Well, we're just mad.
(01:15:00):
It was a great article. Pridstraphillactually sent me this yesterday. Good for
him, Ryan Zigkraft. It's anopinion piece in the Telegraph about meet the
new Left who think hamas are goodand that swastikas are woke, and he
breaks down this lunacy of the newLeft. And yesterday right we had Katie
(01:15:25):
Gorka on talking about her new book, Next Gen Marxism and what's taking place,
and a lot of it had todo with what's going on in college
campuses. And it's funny he startsit out. It wasn't long ago when
the activist left and a whole laundrythen they had a whole laundry list of
in personal forces that it was battlingagainst. Sexism, homophobia, white supremacy,
ableism, you name it, Youname it. The once trendy academic
(01:15:53):
philosophy that relies on a view ofpower relations to society where advantages and disadvantages
are filtered prime through identities, race, gender, and sexual orientation. But
intersectionality is old hat. It's notrevolutionary enough anymore. Now, well,
guess what. It's gone mainstream andhas gotten absorbed and institutionalized by a blob
of liberal media and corporate institutions, including places like the Scottish government. Now
(01:16:17):
why I find this interesting as hegoes through all this stuff, is these
kids are looking for something. AndI said, idle hands, And we'll
get to that in a second, but I want you to listen to the
guy that's leading the and I sayguy loosely because I don't know what his
gender status is, but manly,no, uh, the Columbia insanity.
(01:16:40):
It should alarm everyone that a universitythat has claimed for years to respect and
uphold freedom of speech and protests,a democratic principle this country loves and defense
has abandoned that norm and seeks touse police and military violence to crush our
peaceful demonstry. Oh listen to thatvery demanding Oh yeah, he is.
(01:17:04):
Our demands are the same, divest, disclosed, and amnesty for all,
and our community is stronger than ever. Yeah. Now you listen to that
and you think, Okay, you'reupper He doesn't like white people. By
the way, he's already come outand said that. It's kind of interesting.
But the interesting part of this isyou've got super educated, mostly upper
(01:17:31):
middle class white people who are fightingon behalf of anything that they feel that
they need to fight on behalf of, because in many cases they've got nothing
else going on. And I goback to the movie Fight Club and the
great speech Brad Pitt gave that Ithink really encapsulates a lot of what goes
(01:17:51):
on right now with this group ofdisgruntled, angry, pissed off and quite
frankly bored kids. For the middlechildren of history man no purpose in place
you have no great war, nogreat depression. Our great war is a
(01:18:12):
spiritual war. How great depression,it's our lives all been raised. Don't
television to believe that one day we'dall be millionaires in movie gods and rock
stars, but we won't slowly learningabout the fact we're very, very hissed
off. You could take out televisionand put social media. These protesters have
(01:18:36):
nothing going on. Go look atprotests through time that led to revolutions.
A vast majority of them were wealthy, upper crust boored intelligentsia who decided they
needed a change, wanted to changeeverything, lead said revolution. This insanity
(01:19:00):
we see on college campuses is becausethese kids don't have anything. Because they
have everything, and by that theyfeel like they have no meaning, whether
it's work, life balance, whatthey're looking for something. That's why they
fight climate change. That's their greatcrusade. Now it's Palestine. They don't
care about Palestine. I mean theymay care about the people. We can
(01:19:20):
all care about the people and what'sgoing on over there, but they don't
care to know the real ins andouts of what's happening. It's just a
shei shehi thing. Go look saywhat happened in Syria with a sod Go,
Look what's happening in Yemen. Golook at several African countries, me
(01:19:41):
and mar or whatever they're called thisweek and the longest running civil war ever.
They don't care. They care aboutthis because it's a shei shehi thing
to care about. The new hipthing is colonialization, and that's that's what
Israel has done. They're colonizers, and it's about the oppress and the oppressor.
(01:20:05):
And somewhere along the line, thesekids, mostly from their professors,
have said that anybody who has somethingis automatically an oppressor, and anybody who
doesn't have anything is virtuous and oppressed. And so they fight and they argue.
They're not interested in solutions. They'renot even interested in the outcome of
(01:20:29):
this. This is just their greatbattle, which is anything they can fight.
Climate change, gotta fight, theclimate change, gotta fight. They're
not interested in the actual outcome. They're interested in the let's disrupt the system,
(01:20:50):
Let's break the system. That's whatthey're fighting against. Any excuse they
can use to fight against the systemthat they feel is wrong them that sold
them a bill of goods and toldthem to go into college, that's going
to solve all their problems. Thatsold them a bill of goods that they've
got it better than anybody else. But they don't feel it that sold them
a bill of goods, that workinghard is going to get them something,
(01:21:12):
and it's not getting them the thingsthat they thought they were getting promised.
So they're just pissed off and they'retaking it out on anything they possibly can.
And the longer they can go toschool, we always joke about that,
the more they can extend their childhood. And it's sad because there are
serious issues in this world, likewhat's happening in Gaza. It's a humanitarian
(01:21:33):
crisis there. I can admit itone hundred percent. But they're pissed at
a lot of different things. Andthey're also worried about a look. And
the look is this is the newSi shehi look. I'm gonna wear a
little bit of the uh the whatare you wearing today? Oh? You're
(01:21:53):
wearing Gaza in Palestine. I likeit. That's a great look on you.
Oh yeah, Back in my day, we used to wear apartheid in
Sound Africa. It's kind of whatit's become, and it's sad because I
think there are a lot of issueswe could fight for, but so many
people only care about fighting for whatmakes them feel good against the system that
(01:22:15):
they're pissed at, and they're notquite sure why in some cases, and
they're bored because they've got everything attheir disposal they've ever dreamed of, and
for that they've been told they shefeel guilty about it. Three two,

he'll end up going to jail becauseit's not something you want to do to

I can't do that. If youwant kids to be more tolerant, why
not have handicapped people read them stories. Kids are more likely to encounter disabled
people than drag queens in life.Maybe it's time to admit that sometimes Drag
Queen's Story Hour is more for thequeen than the kids. We played that
yesterday and it's important. I'll tellyou why. He Bill Maher's right.

They never have drag tea, youknow, drag drag story time at you

parody? Are we not being watchedby somebody else? If this is a
simulation, man who's ever playing thisgame is screwed around. Stop you guys
are still thinking about books and boobiesand like, I would do that,
I would go to that, YetI know you would you dimgenerate free pasted.
(01:35:14):
Oh my goodness me insane. It'sgoing on as we speak now.
Some of you may be listened tothis a little bit later, but there
is a case going on that dealswith Donald Trump and it has nothing to
do with an adult film actress atall, and that has to do with
immunity. That's right, Trump's communityhere, Yeah, hey, yay.
(01:35:35):
We will hear argument this morning incase twenty three nine nine Trump versus United
States. All right, Trump versusUnited States of America and whether or not
he's immune from prosecution. If apresident can be charged, put on trial,
and imprisoned for his most controversial decisionsas soon as he leaves office,
(01:35:57):
that looming threat will distort the president'sto decision making precisely when bold and fearless
action is most needed. That isJohn sire, who is the person who
was there on Trump's behalf, ifyou will, and they are, well,
they're going at it, they aregoing at it. Lots of hypotheticals,
(01:36:18):
lots of stuff like that. Withoutpresidential immunity from criminal prosecution, there
can be no presidency as we knowit, no president what we know,
no presidency at all. Who firedthe first shot today? If you will,
well, if you think it wassomebody on the left, You're wrong.
(01:36:39):
Actually, the person who started thisthing was Justice Clarence Thomas, talking
about, you know, really pressingwhere the hell does absolute immunity come from?
And this comes from a nineteen eightytwo decision that held that former presidents
are immune from civil lawsuit, andthey're making the argument that should apply to
(01:37:01):
everything. If the president decides thathis rival is a corrupt person and he
orders the military or orders someone toassassinate him, is that within his official
acts for which he can get immunity. It would depends on the hypothetical.
(01:37:24):
But we can see that could wellbe an official acts. He could it
could be an official act. Well, how could it be an official act?
That's what I'm curious about. Ishis rival in a different country?
Is it his political rival here? How do you know that person is corrupt?
(01:37:45):
I mean, there's a lot ofthings that play into this, but
this matters because should Trump prevail inthis, remember whether there's a six to
three evil six judges and three beautifulangelic judges is the way that the media
would describe it. But listening toGorstach and a lot of other people,
and we're gonna have a lot morefor you on tomorrow show. It feels
(01:38:05):
like they're a bit skeptical. Nomatter what you say. Could President Biden
someday be charged with unlawfully inducing immigrantsto enter the country illegally for his border
policies. The answer to all thesequestions is no, is no, are
(01:38:27):
you going to? Is that whatyou know? I mean, Jonathan Turley,
the stuff that we see going onwith Trump right now, like in
particular New York and what's happening inGeorgia is law fair, is what he
calls it. I can understand that. I mean, Alvin Bragg. This
is only about Alvin Bragg. Thisis even about Donald Trump. Alvin Bragg
made a promise that the people inNew York that he was gonna do everything
(01:38:47):
in his power to convict Trump ofsomething. He had the conviction, he
just needed the crime. And thenthen he came up with this bizarre situation
that he's come up with that isridiculous. Georgia. We go over to
Lettis James, over and over andagain. All that stuff this has no
bearing in that situation. The bearingof the situation that we have in is
(01:39:13):
is what's happening in DC that case, not January sixth. Is ever,
we like to point out and whattook place potentially in mar A Lago in
the classified documents, but especially theelection interference in the way they look at
it in DC. This is gonnahave a huge bearing on that case.
I don't know what's gonna come outof it. I sense that the court
(01:39:33):
is going to decide that, no, you don't get just blanket immunity for
everything for all times. So we'llsee. They may even just say no,
we're gonna go with the lower courtsruling, which was no, you
don't get blanket immunity three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chadmnton showsyour Twitter tweet at as text to program
talk a little bit about the andf L draft. That is tonight it's
(01:39:57):

bit about that. Wrap up theshow straight ahead. Raycon Best earbuds around

your Insta, Facebook, all thatother stuff. We're gonna wrap it up
little stupid information that you could sharewith your friends about the number one overall
pick ever in the NFL draft. The first one ever, what happened to
that guy Chad Benson? Joe Like, yeah, so what it's the Chad
(01:41:31):
Benson Show? Or President Trump isclaiming that he cannot be prosecuted for his
efforts to overturn the twenty twenty electionbecause his lawyers will argue and court presidents
have quote absolute immunity from criminal prosecutionfor any official acts they take as president.
Big hearing today Supreme Court Trump andimmunity. This would if they say,
(01:41:55):
look, yeah, you know,he's got immunity. He's allowed to
say certain things, he's allowed toact in a certain in a way.
It's a novel theory if that wasto happen. Those two cases mar a
lago and which I still think atthis point in time, it's I don't
even know if that thing's ever goingto get off the ground unless you drop
the classified documents and just go withobstruction and what took place in particular in
(01:42:17):
DC would be a I mean, that would just kind of you know,
these things would crump again if theyever get off the ground. He could
win. Those things are probably notgoing to court this year, so he
can make those go away if hewins. But Scotus hearing a case today
that I think has big, bigimplications, not just for this president,
(01:42:38):
for all presidents moving forward. Sowe'll see, you know, a former
president and Trump. So we'll seewhat happens. It's going to be very
interesting to see. And you know, the way that they ask the questions,
the way that they talk about certainthings, you can get a sense
of kind of where it's going. And a lot of people already think,
well, there's thirty five conservative, six conservatives, twelve conservatives, five under
(01:43:00):
conservatives. O. There, it'san easily stacked You have no idea what
they're gonna do. And how manytimes do we tell you this? A
vast majority of the cases are nineto nothing, eight one. It's only
certain issues that people focus on whereit's close. So we'll see how this
plays itself out. That being said, on college campuses nationwide, students at
(01:43:23):
Harvard and Brown set up new encampmentsin solidarity with protesters at more than a
dozen other colleges, students demanding theirschool divest from companies that profit from Israel's
war in Gaza. At Columbia UniversityGround zero. For this new wave of
protests, US Speaker of the HouseMike Johnson greeted with booze from the crowd
as he called for the university presidentto resign. Why is that because you're
(01:43:46):
giving in Stop listening to children dictatehow you should run your university. For
God's sakes, it should alarm everyonethat a universe that has claimed for years
to respect and uphold freedom of speechand protests, a democratic principle this country
(01:44:08):
loves and defense has abandoned that normand seeks to use police and military violence
to crush our peaceful demonstration. That'sthe clown that's running everything. It's Columbia,
who also says how much he hateswhite people. The guy is as
left as it gets. He's leftof Stalin and Jay Goovara. He is
(01:44:30):
just, you know, pissed offtoo, because they're like, look,
you can't go to school here anymore. You're causing too much trouble. Kids
need to learn. Our demands arethe same. Divest, disclose, and
amnesty for all, and our communityis stronger than ever. Divest, get
rid of all your stuff, divest, amnesty for everybody. Our demands,
(01:44:51):
here's our demand. Move Would youjust move? Sorry? No, yes,
it's gonna happen. You're going tomove. No, we're not.
No, you're going to move.Stop allowing them to dictate the way this
is going. You put a deadlineon stuff, as they have, then
(01:45:11):
you extended another couple days after thefourth or fifth extension. It's like kids,
right, you tell your kid don'tdo that, and they realize after
the third or fourth time that theydid it and you did nothing, that
there's zero ramifications for their actions. Then you watch what happens. We believe
in the free expression of ideas inthe free marketplace of ideas. That is
not what is happening here. They'vebeen camped on the campus. They're threatening
(01:45:33):
people with their lives, and they'repreventing them from exercising their freedom. That's
the limit, that's the line, and that's what can't be tolerated. Yeah,
it's Mike Johnson there talking about it. Remember these are college campuses where
if a conservative came to speech, they would all have to have trigger rooms,
and they'd have to go into placesand they have coloring books and have
to chant and hold hands and ohmy god, this person's gonna say something
(01:45:56):
about being pro life and I justcan't did it. But it's okay,
to talk about killing the Jews fromthe river to the sea. You know,
Zionist, and if you're a Jewish, you're automatically a Zionist. I
mean it is. The hypocrisy ishilarious. But I go back to this,
and I say it over and overagain. Two things working against the
Jews. First, you're successful, and in their mind that makes you an
(01:46:17):
overdog and everybody else is an underdog. And you, well, you're too
white. You're too white looking. If you weren't white, we wouldn't be
having this conversation. They're not talkingabout Haiti. They're not talking about Rwanda
or any of the insane, insanecivil wars, battles, killings of other
Muslims by Muslims. They're not talkingabout any of that. It's this.
(01:46:42):
This is their fashion statement for protestingthree two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three Hatch hadBenson show, it's your Twitter,
all of that other stuff that's outthere. The NFL Draft is tonight.
Are you ready? It's happening inDetroit. No. I can only handle
what I can handle, which ismyself and control of those those things of
my play. How much I'm inthe film room, how much I'm learning
(01:47:04):
the offense and the playbook and thingslike that. That's the only way that
And how much you want to win, how much you want to be around
you know, winning winning teams andcultures and things like that. So no,
I can't. I can't talk aboutin other people's you know, positions
and ten years from now that rightthere. Caleb Williams probably the number one
pick tonight. We'll see. It'spretty stacked when it comes to quarterbacks.
(01:47:24):
People are going to be trading. Is he going to Chicago? I don't
think he's stilled to be going toChicago, because if you go to Chicago
usually the death now for a quarterback, but we shall see. Speaking of
the NFL draft, let's have somestupid information and then I go and spoil
it all like saying something stupid. We'll take stupid pause this morning. It's
the honest ones you want to watchout for, because you can never predict
(01:47:46):
they're gonna do something incredibly stupid. No, you're the fact stupid one with
the big mouth is stupid as youshould never underrest of might the predictability of
pitts it. Now it's time fallstupid information, all right, stupid information.
(01:48:12):
The first ever pick in the NFLdraft, Jay Berwinger. He won
the Heisman Trophy way back in theday, and he was the first ever
pick in the NFL draft going backways nineteen thirty six. Won that Heisman
Trophy we're talking earlier. They gavethat Heisman Trophy back to Reggie Bush.
(01:48:35):
Berwinger got eighty four votes, wonthe Heisman Trophy, became the number one
pick, and then was traded.Subsequently, there was no money back then.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected him, butthen think they were being able to
meet his reported salary demands, whichwere one thousand dollars per game, they
traded him in his negotiating rights tothe Bears for tackle Art Bus. Berwinger
(01:48:57):
initially chose not to sign with theBears and part serve as amateur status so
he could do what go to theSummer Olympics, which he didn't qualify for.
He was unable to reach an agreementon salary. Berger back in the
day, we requested fifteen thousand ahouse. Final offer was thirteen to five.
Instead, what did he do?He took a job with a Chicago
rubber company and also became a parttime coach at the University of Chicago.
(01:49:21):
He later said he regretted not takingthe offer. Solid fun show today.
We got you through this Thursday.I see you Friday. It was always
night night Jack. This is theChad Benson Show.
