Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
It's still not about politics. And while they read the
charges yesterday and are coming after him and seeking the
death penalty, I will tell you this right now, there's
a lot more to this case. And another issue that
needs to be talked about, absolutely must be talked about,
(00:34):
is what the hell is going on with men, young
men in particular, young white men in this country that
they're so angry, they're so pissed, they're so nihilist in
their behavior. Now, when I talked about this yesterday, I
was surprised how many people are going, Oh, I could
(00:54):
see that, see because the first reaction, right like when
you go and if you watch God Bless You, if
you go watch any of the news, the things like
Fox and all of them. Their goal is to prove
a point for their side, to apparently win something. We're
not quite sure what they're winning yet, but that's their point.
(01:15):
It's not about to go, hey, is there more to
the case?
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Hey?
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Should we ask?
Speaker 5 (01:19):
No?
Speaker 6 (01:19):
Dare you? Do?
Speaker 4 (01:21):
You want the left to win?
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Because that's always the go to for everything, right, Like
when you talk about Israel, it's like, I don't think
you guys should kill seven year old it's like, oh,
you want the moss to win.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Feeling is that?
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Is that that's your only goal? Same thing here, like,
how did this guy, seemingly a normal kid, pretty bright,
had a future in front of him by all accounts,
came from a loving family, become a nihilist full of
hate and anger. How did that happen? How did he
(01:51):
spin out of control and end up in a place
where he decided to go and pick up a gun.
Was he radically somewhat? But I think not the way
that people think. You know, this culture war where we're
always going out and going look at what they said,
(02:13):
and look at this, and look at that, and this
culture war that's happening and DEI and all of this
stuff that is more.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Show than anything else.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
There's an old saying in golf, right, you drive for show,
but you putt for dough, meaning the drive is neat
and it's it's ooh and it's awe, But at the
end of the day, putting is the thing that's going
to get you across the finish line first. And this
kid had all kinds of problems that you wouldn't even
(02:47):
know about. Living in the world of internet memes and
meme culture and on the fringes, and we touched on
it yesterday, blackpilled this nihilist behavior.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
It's out there where you've got.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Young men who have, First of all, they're not participating
in the workforce, they're not doing much of anything.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
They are finding.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Company through chatboards and the Reddit world and four chan
and all of this stuff, QAnon, whatever you want to
call it. And they're going in there and they're commiserating
with one another because of their looks, because of how
cruel the world is to them, and they're spinning out
(03:37):
of control and more and more, and it is unhealthy.
And I fear there's a lot more of these guys
out there. But everybody else is trying to win points.
Everybody else is trying to go look over here, look
at this, and we got that person, and look at that,
and that person got fired and they said horrible things.
(03:59):
And all of these things may be true, right, I'm
not discounting the asinine way that people reacted afterwards, and
the celebrating and the jumping up and down. But I
want to know what else is there, because there's more
to this, and you know you're gonna hear a lot
(04:19):
of stuff well, Candice own says the Jews did it.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
It's Israel and stuff.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
And look, we'll talk a little bit later about the connection,
not so much of whether or not I think this
guy did it, But there's no doubt that the pressure
was on Charlie in a major way because of what
was going on in Gaza and Israel and the way
(04:45):
that he was feeling. There's no doubt about that, and
the way that they were coming after them. But this
kid in particular, was a hot mess underneath in his thoughts,
in his mind, in his behavior, in his friendship and
(05:07):
his friendships, including that with his boyfriend girlfriend. I'm not
quite sure, Furry. It's also a thing involved in this.
And we talked yestery about look, smaxing and all of
these kind of things, these really weird things that these
kids are doing, these young men right where they're breaking
(05:28):
their own bones to try to reshape their face so
they have that chiseled look. But we got to look
at the bigger picture rather than point fingers at you.
So they go, well, of course, political violence is bad.
Nobody's denying that. That's a dumb ass thing to say.
Is it bad? It is? But was this really political
(05:51):
violence for the sake of politics and only the left,
or is this a bigger picture where you got pissed
off angry white men who are grabbing guns and deciding
they're going to take their hate out on the world,
and in doing so, they're going to get revenge on
(06:12):
everybody else, which is not a good place.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Kids.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
We see this thing happening online where people fall into
these often unmoderated or lightly moderated spaces. So we're not
talking about Facebook or Instagram or Reddit. There may be
something's happening there, but people who get off those spaces
and then start interacting in ones where more shocking content
(06:38):
is encouraged or memes right where you develop this language
internal to your community are developed and encouraged. And in
those spaces, including in totally apolitical spaces, they're not right wing,
not left wing, they don't really care about politics. We
can see a push towards violence, and I tend to
do my work in a lot of those spaces where
violence is often celebrated, cheered on, and people talk about
(07:03):
plotting it. Where are they going to commit it? Is
one of the hard questions that we're trying to solve.
But we certainly see this across the political spectrum and
outside of it online.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
That right there is Jen Golbeck. She's from the University
of Maryland. She's a muckety mucket computer scientist, and all
this stuff that has to do with the actual psychology
of what happens online. And when you listen to her
there you can point where somebody screams right wing over
(07:33):
here and they go and do something horrific see walmart
el Paso. Okay, then you see something like this and
the left wing. The reality is both of them were
seeking something, found a group. That group fed them everything
they wanted, and they ran with it because they were vulnerable,
(07:55):
because they're pissed, they're angry, they want to blame people
and the world for all of their problems. You could
have probably flipped these two at any given time because
it wasn't about the right or left or the quote
unquote political issue. It's about them and their hate and
(08:16):
their anger. And I hope we start really drilling down
and looking at this stuff, because I do think there's
a lot more out there.
Speaker 8 (08:27):
I do.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Last couple of days, I've been talking to my little brother.
He's twenty six, going to be twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
He's like, dude, some of these people are scary.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
It's crazy, and he goes, you can start to see
some people that you know who start to just kind
of break off from that traditional friend group, and then
they start to get to this place where you don't
even recognize them anymore when you do see them, and
stuff that you would they would never even interested in.
(08:59):
Somehow because they found somebody else who will feed into
their victim mentality. Well, all of a sudden, this is
where they're headed down this path, and that is a
bad place to be, a very bad place to be.
Talk a lot more about this today, a bunch of
other stuff to get to. Yesterday, cash Bettel was in
(09:25):
front of the Senate getting thrilled, and there was a
lot of you know, arguments and firing back, and you know,
ah he smoked Adam dipshiff and blah blah blah blah
blah whatever.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
I mean, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I care about a few things, and one of those
things being the Epstein stuff. And apparently between his trips
to Valhalla and the office, he seems to think that
we're all idiots and that we forgot.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
About the whole Epstein thing.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
And he also seems to think that we will buy
whatever he's selling.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
You've seen most of the files.
Speaker 9 (10:09):
Who if anyone did Epstein traffic these young women too?
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Besides himself himself?
Speaker 10 (10:17):
There is no credible information none. If there were, I
would bring the case yesterday that he trafficked to other individuals.
And the information we have, again is limited. So the
answer is no one for the information that we have
in the files in the case file.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Okay, is anybody buy that?
Speaker 2 (10:37):
No?
Speaker 4 (10:37):
I didn't think so.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
You mean the twenty five women that were what out
there two weeks ago in front of Congress, right on
the steps out there in the Capitol, talking about stuff
and we got no evidence of any of that. Wow,
this guy, man, I tell you what.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Who would you get the job from?
Speaker 8 (11:04):
Ken?
Speaker 4 (11:04):
I'm just curious.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Oh oh, okay. Trump has surrounded himself with some SICA fans.
IM not gonna lie to you. And it is not
a good place for us right now.
Speaker 11 (11:15):
Man.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
We got a lot of problems and I look at
Cash Betel and we're gonna get to Pam bonding a
little bit. And these people are not the answer to
those problems at all at all. A lot of stuff
on this Wednesday to get to including one Hit Wonder Wednesday,
bunch of other good stuff.

from each and every one of you. This is the
Chad Bensage Show.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
With all the talk of Charlie Kirks killer.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yesterday, Luigi Mangioni got some good news. This is the guy,
of course, who killed the United Healthcare CEO in December
of last year and then became celebrated, even got a
musical in San Francisco and kind of built up this
sex appeal, anti hero kind of thing. Well, they came
(13:36):
at him hard with a lot of charges, including terrorism,
and the judge says.
Speaker 6 (13:41):
Nah prosecutors felt they had evidence they said that showed
Mangioni wanted to send a wider message and coerce the public.
They pointed to writings that police said they found on
Mangioni when he was arrested in Pennsylvania, but the defense
said Mangioni himself never actually publicized any of his writings.
(14:02):
That was done by the authorities, and the judge said
there was just insufficient evidence to conclude that he meant
the killing as a wider message to the public.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Which is very interesting, and so and this was the one.
This is the terrorism chargers that could have got him.
I think, I don't even know what they do there
in New York City. They sell the death penalty, well,
the federal side of it that he was probably electric
chair whatever.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
But this was the big, the big one.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
And having I mean, he still has the murder charges stuff,
and he's probably gonna do forever in prison.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
That being said, it was certainly a targeted killing, the
judge said, but did not meet the statute and did
not meet the definition of murder as a crime of terrorism.
So the top charge is now gone and Mangioni still
faces second degree murder, accusing him of intentionally killing Brian Thompson.
(14:54):
He's pleaded not guilty.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Well, I mean there's that so that faces life in
prison without the possibility of parole. And did we mention
he has fans because this part of that anti hero thing.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
As soon as word leaked out from inside the courtroom
that the top charges had been dismissed, there was a cheer,
an audible cheer from supporters who had gathered outside. Inside
the courtroom, there were about two dozen or so Mangioni supporters,
most of them young women. Mangioni appeared to glance at
them on his way out of the courtroom.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Bizarre, it's been this way though.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
I mean the psychology of the infamous and women as
we all know.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
Look at the you know Menendez.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Brothers three, two, three, five, eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Ched Benson shows your ext your insta right
here on the Chad Benson Show. And now this guy's
the anti hero. They they murdered for money, and this
guy's the anti hero because he murdered to who knows
what allegedly can for everybody to show you how bad
(16:05):
the insurance companies were. I mean, we still don't really know,
but kind of the sense that we get, let me
know what, you think, still have a lot of things
to get to and talk a little bit about the
interest rates. I look, it's already built in and baked
in already. So the big jump that I think people
think that that's going to come because of this, I
don't think you're going to get that.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
With this. I just don't.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
I think it's already. They were assuming these kind of
things were going to happen, and well, you know, Loan Bold,
here we go, Birch Gold. Look inflation when it's up,
national debt over thirty seven trillion, that's the tea.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Kids.
Speaker 2 (16:42):

good time for gold unsettledness globally, it might be a
time for some gold. Now here's a great thing if

how you can take advantage of the rebate.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
That's the word Benson.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Text it to ninety eight ninety eight ninety eight now
for Birch Gold. This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Fun Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
It is Wednesday, and every Wednesday we put in the
work so you don't have to. It's White Girl Wednesday
with our girl Kylie here, and we also have a
special guest on White Girl Wednesday.
Speaker 12 (18:18):
Something a lot of people missed when talking about Charlie
Kirk is that he engaged in hateful rhetoric and disguistates
free speech. It's a massive following because of the inflammatory
statements that he made thinking there would be no consequences
for those statements. Something that he did for a really
long time was hide behind the guise of free speech
and creating a public platform for all while actively spreading hatred.
There's a difference between free speech and discriminating against people
(18:38):
and spreading hateful rhetoric. People will say, oh, well, maybe
he didn't believe in these things and he just.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Said it to get likes in view.
Speaker 12 (18:44):
Either way, there is an unethical aspect of this that
clearly does not work for political purposes. Let's say he
didn't believe in those things and he was just saying
sit and boke a reaction. He could then be surprised
if somebody retaliated against him. It's like if I walked
up to you and I called you a bunch of
slurs and then got upset and was shocked that you
punched me or did something else to me. Don't forget
that haypful rhetoric is violent. If I spend two years
(19:05):
talking about how bad and vicious a certain demographic of
people are and you go out and kill one because
of my words, then ultimately I was responsible as well
for that crime. In the future, we need to understand
that provoking people and being racist is not a political strategy.
It's a bigotry.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Okay, there you go. Whycrol Wednesday, Kylie?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
She comes on every single week shares her thoughts of
why we're awful and you and I and well we
do the work makes us better. So much to unpack there, right, Well,
first of all, is there something to the likes and
the clicks? Yeah, I look, I peel back the curtain again.
Part of the business is the entertainment side, and you
go for certain low hanging fruit and they want certain
(19:45):
things from you. So yeah, there is a part of
that not going to be as it I've told you
guys before, I didn't agree with Charlie.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
A bunch of stuff.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
I would assume that we differed in several places, but
we you know, if it was fifteen percent, the other
eighty five percent we agreed with. And for some out
there on the right, you know, you didn't pass the
purity test. Whatever that said. Though, if you put out
hateful rhetoric, well go listen to his hateful rhetoric.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
It's Charlie. Is he was mild? Did he say some stuff?
Speaker 13 (20:22):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Did he evoke a reaction?
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Did he give opinions that he believed in that were
strong and you disagreed with him, therefore you have taken
them to be this. He's full of hate and evil,
you know, for all the years that he did it.
You can pick two or three things where you're like, oh,
I found that to be Yeah, okay, maybe one, but
come on, one or two that were you just do understand, Chad, Yeah,
(20:46):
I do understand. Because I do this for a living,
and we we have a thing that we do on
the show. We've got to start bringing it back more often.
That's not what I said, but this is what you heard.
My buddy's at the local station. They called van go
listening cause you're listening with only one side of your
ear right.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
It's on this side, the right side of the left side.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
We told you it was why girl Wednesday, We're going
to bring back somebody because I just have to play
it to remind everybody this is our age. And this
is what she said as they try to figure out
how to back out of Well, that's not what she what.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
There's free speech and then there's hate speech.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
And no, there's free speech period, no such thing as
hate speech. You should know this I heard you're a lawyer.
Speaker 7 (21:30):
There's free speech and then there's hate speech, and there
is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to
Charlie in our society.
Speaker 14 (21:40):
Do you see more law enforcement going after these groups
who are using hate speech and putting cuffs on people.
So we show them that some action is better than
no action.
Speaker 12 (21:51):
We will absolutely target you, go after you if you
are targeting anyone with hate speech anything across the aisle.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Oh that makes no but no, sorry, we'll target anyone.
I just had to play that again because it's white
Girl Wednesday and she classifies herself as a white girl
and she was it's the most ridiculous thing. And yeah,
they're like, well, this is what you really meant, this
is what about this and this is what you know what.
She's been awful, Cash Betel's been awful. They both need
(22:26):
to go. I don't know if you do it two
for one or how you do it, but time to
move on.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
Move on dot now.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
So if you guys are not paying attention Gaza, and
this is where I get, Oh, you hate the Jews,
because that's that's what happens whenever you talk about any
of this stuff, whenever you bring any of this up,
it's like, oh, here you got, I's going to hate
the Jews again. So no, I love people and I
love humans. And there are a lot of innocent people
over there that are getting destroyed by Israel, in particular
(23:01):
bb Ben geverin.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Smodriz.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
These are the you know, finance ministers and all these
people that are that are in the Hood Party who
are hell bent on doing this, and so they're they're
they're they're going for it.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
So let's slow our roll with you. You you you hate.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
The Jews, right, That's something that's a talking point they
put out there, the the people, the Zionists and and
the people out there who want to push the narrative
that Christians have to do everything to support even if
it means genocide and and and and you know, going
out and ethnically cleansing. No, you don't. You don't have to,
(23:45):
and nor should we. And we've got to stop pretending
that this is something I want done in my name,
your name, or our name.
Speaker 13 (23:53):
And strikes raining down as tanks roll in, although many
say they won't leave and they're refusing to be forced
down to get out of the danger zone in cars
on bikes or just by foot, but nowhere in Gaza
is safe. It's not our fault that October seventh happened,
says this woman.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
It's not our fault.
Speaker 13 (24:11):
Repeated please from hostage families scared for the forty eight
remaining in captivity, going unanswered by the net Yahoo government,
who says the push is needed to destroy Hamas.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
And now what's gonna happen, Well, you know what's gonna happen.
Most of them are gonna die, the hostages. They're gonna
light everything up, they're gonna say they've contained the incident.
They're going to move on to the West Bank, which
is already coming. And we should believe everything they say.
I don't know if you saw this, but remember that
big thing with Iran. Well you know how they do
meetings and they like keep minutes and notes. Well the
(24:42):
notes got out, and come to find out Ron really
wasn't a threat. Shockface. I know right, Bbe needs this
to stay in power. We do not need to fund it,
we do not need to be a part of it.
And as I continue to say to everybody, you are
our friend, am I correct?
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Israel?
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Okay, we're not going to let you do this anymore
because you're becoming a pariah. And if you go and
look at the data, and this is why the big
thing with Charlie Kirk and stuff was all these conspiracy
theories you're hearing under thirty. This is not a good
place right now for Israel when it comes to Republicans, conservatives, maga, libertarians, liberals, progressive, apolitical.
(25:31):
Look at the numbers. They're abysmal, and they're shrinking everywhere
but one place, and that is with boomers on the right.
But you've lied to us on numerous occasions. You lead
our leaders around. You go out and you will basically
(25:52):
come after anybody who dares say anything that may be
an honest assess Smith that has nothing to do with
you being anti Semitic, but all to do with the
fact that you don't want to see seven year olds
blown up. And you come out and say, oh, that's
because you want the terrorists to win. No. No, you
(26:17):
have every right to defend yourself. Absolutely. You pass defending
yourself a long time ago three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Bency shows your acts,
your insta. Let's move away from the series, shall we
let's move into some fun stuff coming up. One hit
wonder Wednesday, got a great one today, had a big
(26:38):
one hit and it was one deer full. Then took
a different path, a path that we all listened to
every single day.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Ooh, very interesting. Interesting.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Indeed, Prize picks, Prize picks, Baby, they've got it for
you right now. So if you know anything about prize
pick shame, you need to know and right now with
Prize Picks, are you ready for this? They've already got

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Hashtag me too, hashtag immigration reforms, hashtag help, I'm trapped
in a hashtag factory and I can't get out the
Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
It is that time of the program where we're able
to relax a little bit, smile. We talk about a
lot of serious things, some serious stuff, indeed, but this
is arguably my favorite thing to do on the show.
Every week we go and we dissect and we enjoy
one hit wonders. Who are they, what were they about?
(28:51):
What happened to them? Why is it that at that
moment in time in history. For whatever reason, the song
that they put together, whether it's a band, a duo
or group, the writers they come together and they find
some magic magic and it works and boom, it becomes
(29:12):
a massive hit. And then as quickly as they come,
they fade away. But you know what, that's what makes
them great, that's what makes them what hit Wonders.
Speaker 15 (29:21):
Now it's time for another edition of One Hit Wonder Wednesday.
Speaker 16 (29:33):
You may not remember the name of the band.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
But you definitely know the song. This Bruiser, this is
One Hit Wonder Wednesday. All right, all.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Right, Today's One Hit Wonder came off an album that
came out a nineteen seventy seven, but the single was
released in nineteen seventy eight. Now when you hear the
single in the song which did okay got to number
nine on the Billboard Hot one hundred and it was
his only major hit.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
And we'll tell you who he is in a minute.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
He had help though on the song on the album
Bill Simchek, who was the guy that produced the Eagles, Right,
so there's this.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Polished kind of feel the SoCal production.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
They got Joe Waltz from the Eagles to jumping on
feature guitar, so he's got all the jam going on,
a little smooth gritty and it's got a yat rock edge,
Oh baby.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Indeed.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Now the song itself is called thunder Island. It's done
by Jay Ferguson. Now, Jay Ferguson had already been an artist.
He was in a psychedelic band man called Spirit, had
a hit with them called I Got a Line on You.
He then co founded Joejoe Gunn. They had a hit
as well, Run Run Run, But this was his only
(30:58):
solo hit, and it became something kind of big and
cool in the yacht rock world especially, kind of had
a big revival. But the song itself is so much fun,
and for you that are a little bit younger, you'll
hear this and say, wait a minute, didn't I hear
that on a Family Guy? And yes you did from
nineteen seventy eight. It's a hell of a song and
(31:19):
it's a lot of fun. Jay Ferguson and thunder Island
(31:57):
in the.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Jason, I love this song.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
It makes me smile, and yes, it does make me
think of Stewie from Family Guy. Now, normally we talk
about them a lot of times. They kind of disappear
into the ether. Most of these want to hit wonders.
But oddly enough, our good buddy here, mister Ferguson, decided no,
(32:44):
I'm not going to do that. Sitting around trying to
figure out what the hell was going on with his
life because things weren't working the way he thought they
should be working.
Speaker 8 (32:51):
Music was changing, Punk was coming in, La was changing,
Lendon was changing, and I felt like I was part
of a sound and it was a strain he had
dated and wound down. And then I got a call
from Bud Carr, who is my manager at the time,
and he said, hey, do you have any songs sitting around?
I'm working in this movie. It's like the science fiction thing,
(33:12):
and I don't think it's going to go anywhere. They
say it's gonna, you know, last a couple of weekends
at the drive in, but they need some songs. So
I said, oh, yeah, I've got these songs. I gave
him five or six songs. They went into the movie
and the movie was Terminator Wow, and it just blew up.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
It blew up in a major way. And then he decided, hey,
check this out. I am a little long in the
tooth for the music industry. I don't want to tour anymore.
The music I want to do isn't gonna make me
any money. And I'm just I'm over that now that
(33:50):
I see that I can do this, Is there any
way I can do more of these things?
Speaker 4 (33:54):
And sure enough or good buddy.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Jay Ferguson decided he was going to produce and compose
music for TV and movies, and he started to build
up quite a.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
Big, big resume on the.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Movie side, and then he had a couple things work
with television, and then well, then.
Speaker 8 (34:22):
This is a high profile show. They put the call
out to everybody. They had songs from Elo, They had
songs from all these writers, every television writer. I got
the call from my agent and I said, okay, I
sat down and I wrote songs about this concept of
the show. These people were in the workplace and the
sort of functional workplace in the Midwest town. And I
was putting together the CD, maybe three or four songs,
(34:45):
and I had this, literally it was like almost a sketch,
this little skaby thing, and I went, I'm gonna put
it on. So I sent it in. A couple of
weeks later, I get a call back and It was
the producers in the show, and they said, yeah we can.
We just kind of liked that little sca thing you did. Okay,
I got a call another two weeks. You know, we
(35:07):
keep playing that little SKA thing. You know, we keep
playing another two weeks and this went on. It Finally
it was like they just gave up. They just said,
that's it.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
The main title of the office. On top of that,
composed pretty much everything on ncis across the board, about
four hundred episodes. Jay's done quite all right. He is
our one hit Wonder of the day, Jay Ferguson with
thunder Island. You got any suggestions for one hit wonder,
make sure you tweet at us at Chad Benson Show
texta program as well. Three two, three, five, three eight,
(35:37):
twenty four, twenty three right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
Man. That was awesome. I love that.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
You know, we need those kind of things. I'm telling you,
we need to be able to take a break and
look at other things. Well, the chaos, the craziness, the
insanity that's going on.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
It's good to go.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Oh yeah, And I get a ton of text from
you guys, and a ton of you know, direct messages
and whatnot saying thank you so much for you know,
taking a little bit of our mind off stuff.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
Appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Well, you know what, back to the grind now coming
up our number two. A lot of stuff still to
get to. More on Israel, venezuela. Are we going to
war with trenda? Agua a trendy?
Speaker 4 (36:14):
What frenda? Who did they make case of Gmalis? Were
were talking about that, amongst other things.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
If you missing the show, grabbed the podcast our number
two of the programs for the Dead.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
This is the Chad Benson Show. The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
They're going to try to get the death penalty for
the guy that killed Charlie Kirk allegedly.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
Yesterday they rolled out all of the charges.
Speaker 17 (37:05):
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray outlined his case against the suspect,
linking him to that single fatal shot the thirty one
year old husband and father of two.
Speaker 5 (37:14):
Robinson's mother saw the photo of the shooter in the
news and thought the shooter looked like her.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Son, prosecutor said.
Speaker 17 (37:21):
The suspect's father then got Robinson on the phone.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
When asked why he did it. Robinson explained there was
too much evil and the guy, referring to Charlie Kirk
spreads too much hate.
Speaker 17 (37:32):
The suspect also allegedly telling his roommate he'd been planning
the attack for a little over a week.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
So they're going to try to get the death penalty.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
The way the death penalty works in JOW is so
it's aggravated murder, which is what they've got him here.
So that includes things like murder that happened while the
offender was in a correctional facility, multiple people die knowingly
he created a great risk of death to others. Murder
(38:02):
occurred during the commission of another serious crime. The victim
was especially vulnerable, and so they've got him for a
lot of different charges. Now they have to notify that
they're going to do that which they did, they're going
to seek it. So the first phase is once they
deemed them guilty, whether or not he gets a death penalty,
they got to consider that. The jury will decide that.
(38:23):
Then the jurors must agree to impose death. If they
can't unanimously decide on the death, the sentence becomes life
in prison without parole. Then there are two ways that
you can be executed in Utah. The first way lethal injection,
(38:45):
the second way firing squad. Now that's an interesting thing,
the firing squad, because you can only so if they've
got everything. They've got the stuff for lethal injection, you
have to do that. Unless you were sentenced before two
thousand and four, then you could choose either, or you
(39:08):
could only choose the firing squad.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Because that'll be the only thing granted to you.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
If they cannot find the needed drugs for the lethal
injection within thirty days of a scheduled execution, then the
firing squad may be used.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
I mean, look, the way I look at this is
there's a lot that that's going to have to break
down before we ever get that. They're not gonna they're
already talking about the case. Don't even think about it
happening in twenty twenty six. So you're probably looking at
late twenty twenty six, most likely the winter of twenty
(39:48):
twenty seven, and so it would probably be summer before
the case is done, you know, spring. I mean maybe
I'm not even quite sure. I mean, I don't know
how how long the case is going to take. But
that's I mean, that's at the earliest they're saying, so
it might be Springer summer before there is a verdict
(40:10):
and a sentence, and then from there the appeals and
at any given time he may cut a deal.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
And that'll be that.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
So I don't know if they'd take a deal at
this point. I don't know if they would. They may
or may not take a deal if he came confessed,
and would they take a deal or do they want
to go full we want the death penalty or nothing.
(40:40):
So it's going to be interesting.
Speaker 4 (40:41):
It is, it is, But I just wanted to break
it down for you guys because I like to keep
you guys informed about everything. That's how I roll here. Okay, okay, fantastic, fantastic.
Speaker 18 (40:49):
Meanwhile, Trump, the President touching down for a second state
visit here. That is an extremely rare honor and one
that the President certainly seems to be thrilled to participate.
And we don't expect much in terms of deliverables. This
is really a trip that is meant to strengthen and
shore up ties between the two countries, and there's going
to also be a lot of pomp and circumstance here.
(41:10):
The President will be spending tomorrow at Windsor Castle. We're
going to see everything from a carriage procession through the
grounds to a joint flyover to a lavish, white tie
state dinner in the evening.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
That's this is Trump's jam right here. He loves this stuff.
He loves the pomp, the circumstance. He's probably wondering, why
do we not have carriages for me to drive around on.
I need more pomp. Why don't I have my own castle?
I need a castle with a big tea on it.
Speaker 18 (41:39):
The President enjoys, we know, very much, being the center
of this kind of pageantry. That is something that the
UK certainly is well aware of. He's going to be
spending time, of course with the royal family. He has
a personal relationship actually with King Charles. Of course, during
his last day visit in twenty nineteen he met then
with Queen Elizabeth. So this is a chance for him
to spend time with the royal family, but also, oh,
(42:00):
of course, a chant for the UK to use these
kinds of pageants as a diplomatic tool.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
Who do you think is gonna say Harry's wife?
Speaker 2 (42:09):
She seems like a bitch. Oh Chad, that's what I heard.
She doesn't seem to be I like that show suits.
I thought she was nice. I don't know, but she
seems like she's a bit much. I think she's got
Harry's Shorten Carley's. I'll think this is did the tilk
(42:33):
She make him watch the What's that show? Dalton Abbey.
That movie just came out. Let's make them watch that
a few times. All Right, sir, this is what it's
gonna be like. That's where the forks go. They're gonna
lay it out for you. I like my steak burnt crisp.
If you could do that'd be fantastic. This is a
(42:57):
go to Europe Show Force two kind of thing. Try
to because of what's going on in Ukraine. We talked
about it yesterday with Mike Lions or military analysts, the
war games that are going on between Russia and Belarus,
and as we have talked about in a weird way
(43:19):
for years, that Belarus is the easiest way to Kiev.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
And he doesn't think that's gonna happen, but you never know.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
With the pooter, so it would be just like the
pooter Trump you's seen England, the fantastic. Wee go now
boom Kiev and move right in there.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
So you never know.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
With him speaking of never knowing, yesterday we bombed yet
another drug ship or whatever it was in Venezuela because
we're pretending like trendy Agua, trend Trent, those trend Ay guys,
they're coming for.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
Us once again.
Speaker 19 (43:59):
President and Trump ordered the bombing of a small boat
in the Caribbean, killing people who he accuse US of
trying to smuggle drugs into the United States.
Speaker 4 (44:08):
This use of US military.
Speaker 19 (44:10):
Firepower is unprecedented and is drawing accusations that the strikes
are illegal.
Speaker 4 (44:18):
I have questions, serious questions.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
And the whole thing with you know, Turnedo Iragua and
all this stuff, the reality that they're trying to make
them out to be this massive powerhouse and empire of
drugs is not true.
Speaker 4 (44:43):
It's just not. I mean, are they good guys.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
No, there was started as a prison gang. But to
what they're trying to do, and this is just my
take on it, they're trying to.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Build up.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
Trende Rawa for the chance that they may have to
take them on in some way, shape or form. Because
look at all the stuff that they're doing, and Maduro
and he's a drug lord and we're gonna have to
go in there and we're gonna have to do all
these things and blah blah, blah blah. They're trying to
(45:25):
build this up, and this is the face of it.
This is the boogieman. And again they're horrible, they're awful,
But they don't bring fentanyl here.
Speaker 4 (45:38):
At all.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
If we're serious about that, it's Mexico ninety percent right there.
They don't bring any fentanyl in here. None, and that's
according to the DEA. So ninety percent comes from Mexico.
The rest comes from pretty much columb be it. And
(46:01):
then you've got where does the rest of it come from?
As far as the parts to put it together, Well,
that comes from China. We're not going after them, so
we're not going after Mexico. We're not going after China.
But there's a lot more here because we've got big
ships over here with military presence that includes about forty
(46:23):
five hundred men. You've got oil that was found in Guiana,
you've got oil underneath Venezuela, and you got a fifty
million dollar bounty on Maduro's head. And regime change question
Mark because he was asked, I'll see what happens.
Speaker 20 (46:39):
He's not an option or not option.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
We'll see.
Speaker 20 (46:42):
He had an election that was wrong. It was almost
as corrupt as our election.
Speaker 6 (46:46):
Of twenty twenty.
Speaker 20 (46:47):
You know that, you know what I'm talking about. I
wouldn't say this was much more corrupt, but it was
certainly corrupt. But ours was corrupt also on that.
Speaker 21 (46:54):
Do you think you will start to strike from the
mainland Uela people.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
We'll see what happened.
Speaker 20 (47:00):
Look, Venezuela is sending us a gang members. They're drug
dealers and drugs.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Not acceptable, very small amount of drugs, very small amounts.
And have they sent us gang dealer you know, gangs
and drug dealers, Yeah they have. But you are bombing
people in a boat and you kind of joked about,
you know, could be a fisherman. I wouldn't be a
fisherman right now. I wouldn't be a fisherman out there.
(47:24):
That's not funny. No offense to our military. But we've
made more than a few snaffoos. We're like, yeah, this
is definitely the guy that planned the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (47:36):
Wow, he killed everybody. Oh wrong, wrong house, That was
not it.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
That was that's the He was just getting milk for
his family, all right, that check. So no, you know,
and so stop blowing smoke. You want regime change. You
want to see what you can do with that oil.
You've got big oil donors who are looking around there going,
don't let Venezuela and move over here and do any
of that stuff when it comes to off there and
(48:00):
parts of Gaiana.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
We don't want any of that.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
And let's see what else we can do because they've
got all of our stuff when they nationalize it, and
you look like the kind of person that would get
involved in this, sir. So I'm more worried about what's
going on there when it comes to our military than
elsewhere at this moment in time three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chadbanson shows
your acts, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and everything. By the way,
(48:25):
don't be worried when it comes to being online.
Speaker 4 (48:27):
Protect yourself. We're the web roots. What's the news.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
There's a bunch of scams out there, new ones. Web
Bruit's going to protect you from that. Real time protection,
gets malware, ransomware, fishing, and more. They've got amazing built
in firewall and network monitoring the VPN as well, which
is awesome. And then the big thing the identity protection,
because you need to protect your identity. Everybody's trying to
get your data. Everybody's trying to get your identity. We
(48:53):
just saw TransUnion four million people and by the time
they usually announce this stuff people, it's it's too late
because you know, they hold on to it for a
little bit. No, so we can't have that. So with
identity protection, you get coverage and includes your children, seniors,
dependents up to a million in theft related expenses, as

Speaker 1 (49:53):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
We're still talking about the COVID vaccine of course we are.
And look I am fine, let's talk about it. Talk
to your doctors about it. We should know all the
information as much as possible, right to make a honest decision.
But it's kind of interesting the way that we make
these decisions.
Speaker 4 (50:14):
I'm not putting that in my body, no way. Hey
do you want some of this weight loss drug? Oh?
Speaker 2 (50:21):
Hell yeah, I'll take some of that. You know, it's
no idea, but I know it's gonna help me lose weight.
Oh okay, So you're not really sure about this one?
Well no, no, not this one over here. This one
over here has probably got some sort of stuff in
there that would potentially, I don't know, turn me into
a magnet. Okay, that seems a little weird. But over here,
(50:44):
I know I'm gonna lose some weight. So we're gonna
go with this one and do always You guys know this.
You listen to my show here, do your research. Do
your research. When it comes to any of this stuff.
Speaker 9 (50:56):
Some people say you shouldn't be looking at this, You
should not be sharing data like this with the public,
because it may lead some to question the vaccine. We
believe in pull transparency. People can make their own decision.
Speaker 4 (51:08):
And you should as an adult.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
You've got to make the right decision for you as
an adult, doesn't matter what it is right.
Speaker 4 (51:15):
Whether you want to eat.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
That bag of chips, or you want to smoke that cigarette,
or you want to work out and have an apple,
those are decisions you have to make. And it's the
same thing with the vaccines. Anything you put in your body,
you should kind of know what's going on. I mean absolutely,
(51:36):
And the weight loss stuff, let's be real, it's working
for a lot of people, but there are side effects, duh.
Speaker 22 (51:43):
This study from Eli Lilly found that those who use
their oral GLP option called forge Lepron had to sustain
or associated significant weight loss of approximately eleven percent at
the highest doses. This equates to about fifteen pounds of
weight loss, and the side effects were comparable to what
we see an injectable medication options gas run testinal symptoms
most common nausea, vomiting. There was no signal for livertoxicity
(52:06):
and in this study there was also no sign or
signal for that severe but very rare risk of metallory
thiroid cancer.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
And the people that question everything when it comes to
the vaccine and mRNA and this is the stuff we
need to study because all of us have mRNA. For
those who are not keeping score three two three, five,
three eight twenty four three at Ched Benzon's show is
your Extra int YouTube, Facebook and more radio The Jed
benz It Show. But the people that question everything when
(52:37):
it comes to this because of the politics that COVID became,
will not question or love for for whatever it is.
They need a better, better name for it, and they'll
take it and pop that pill or take that shot.
So because there's no politics involved in being fat plus
of course you're part of the fat movement culture.
Speaker 4 (52:55):
They don't move fast.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
That's what you're asking. And you know people are going
to be mad that I said that anytime. It's so
amazing the anytime I bring up like weight loss or
like we're gonna go to fat Con. We keep threatening
here in my local show that we're gonna go out.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
We should do it. I want to do it. I
want to see you.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
If one of my sponsors will pay, we're all gonna
go out to the fat Con, which is happening. We're
gonna get a booth with just these medications to see
who comes over to us or thought wrong. You gotta
come up with a better name than that then, or
though wrong, that's not gonna work.
Speaker 4 (53:30):
Fat no more. Uh huh chat.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
But anytime I bring it up, even at the local level,
the text messages and the emails flood in. He was
making fun of me because I have a thyroid problem.
If it's in a doughnut. Ah goodness that is. But look,
you gotta do what's right for you. Guys and I
kid about this stuff because they care and because yeah
(53:55):
we should. And when it comes to the losing weight,
it's a great thing. And it's not political yet. I mean,
no matter how much the fat influencers want to make
it political, it's not political yet.
Speaker 4 (54:09):
So that's good because that way people will continue to
take it.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
And it's good to see that people are losing weight
because the healthier we are, the less it costs for
insurance for everybody.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
The better it is.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
Oh, if you're missing the show, the podcast, this is
Chad Benson jow.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Then Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (54:45):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
A lot of people have been canned for saying horrific
things about the death of Charlie Kirk, celebrating it in
bizarre ways and then wondering why there was a repercussion
and screaming cancel culture. You guys know, I don't really
like the whole cancel culture thing. Do I think that
we need to have a serious conversation in this world,
(55:07):
not so much about free speech, but having a certain
monicum of decorum, especially when you're doing things like teaching children.
Speaker 4 (55:15):
I absolutely do. I don't care what side of the
aisle you're on.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
If you're celebrating the fact that a man got murdered
in front of thousands of people and eventually because of
all of the videos, millions of people and you're happy
about that. I do not think you should be teaching children.
I'd rather have Rambo teaching them than you. So yeah, again,
(55:43):
you can go and say it. And then this is
where we have to have the conversation about free speech,
which we once again after mind our age that you know,
hate speech is free speech and nobody's stopping people from
saying that.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
But there is align when it.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
Comes to businesses that I do understand that you're like, no, sorry,
I can't have that, and a lot of people are, well,
they're upset.
Speaker 23 (56:12):
So I've lost my job. I got called into the
office yesterday and told me that they could either fire
me or I could put a resignation in and but
that would look better. But they fired me, or they're
getting rid of me because of my because of my TikTok.
(56:34):
Somebody screenshotted screenshot all of a lot of my tiktoks.
Speaker 21 (56:41):
And I made some stupid comments about Charlie Kirk and
the day that he was shot. I said some things
on Blue Sky and on threats that I I'm sorry,
not sorry for, but I said them.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
You did say them. Nobody is stopping you from saying them.
Nobody is wait to hear what this guy does. Nobody
is stopping you from saying them. Let's get that out
of the way. You are saying things that many people
find absolutely abhorrent and disgusting, and then includes people on
the left who did not agree with Charley Kirk in
(57:22):
the way that people are celebrating this. You are saying
those things and nobody is stopping it. So I want
to hear the free speech argument. No, but there are
repercussions to your actions. And a lot of these people
are nurses and doctors, they are DEI specialists, they're teachers,
(57:49):
they're pilots. So celebrating somebody's death, your business that you
work with may not be thrilled by that. That is
understandable because the business is not about you. It's about
them and the customers, which you forget.
Speaker 4 (58:12):
It's also about the other people that are employed.
Speaker 21 (58:16):
So continue, sir, and I deleted them when it was
requested that I do so by my employer, and then
today on a weekend, on a weekend, I'm told that
I am no longer employed at Microsoft after six years
(58:39):
building the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department from scratch.
Speaker 4 (58:43):
I want you to think about this.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
You're the guy that's supposed to be mister empathy, mister
everybody gets along, and we go back to this. The
dei insanity of it's great as long as it's color, sexuality,
who you worship and you're celebrating of somebody's death makes
me think you are not capable of leading this because, yes, Microsoft,
(59:10):
who didn't start a business for you, happens to also
deal with millions of customers that maybe don't find that
sort of politics that you're celebrating the death of as
something they want to be involved with, as well as
your coworkers who think that the fact that you're celebrating
(59:30):
somebody's death, even if they disagree with them in a
good thing.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I lose my job.
Speaker 21 (59:42):
Because one of you, some random person reports my posts
to my employer, goes out of their way to find
out where I work and takes my job, takes my
security away from me for a thought for the and
you talk about freedom speech like you care about it,
(01:00:04):
and you're just going to take my money, my life,
my food off my plate because I don't like Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
That's not okay.
Speaker 21 (01:00:14):
It is not okay to turging me because I felt
joy that day. I can't help while I feel I
felt joy.
Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
Nobody took your job away. You did that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Those are the actions, so repercussions of saying something.
Speaker 4 (01:00:35):
And we go back to this, and we've been doing
this for a while.
Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
The fact that you feel comfortable enough to talk about
this to the point where you want to put it
online because you think people are going to celebrate with
you is also kind of scary. That you think that
this is cool and that people will celebrate with me.
Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
That's me, That's what I believe. That's what I think
of of him.
Speaker 21 (01:01:02):
I can't help that so I don't deserve the job.
Speaker 4 (01:01:06):
Fired for my job. I was just fired for my job.
I was just fired for my job.
Speaker 12 (01:01:10):
I was just fired for my job.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
I was just fired for my job.
Speaker 24 (01:01:15):
No, I have nothing but this.
Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
I have nothing but this website.
Speaker 5 (01:01:18):
I have nothing anymore.
Speaker 22 (01:01:19):
I have nothing. I have nothing anymore.
Speaker 25 (01:01:22):
I have nothing anymore, nothing, I have nothing more.
Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
I think somebody needs to a well check on that cat.
You were fired because.
Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
You put something out there that was vile and disgusting,
that's why.
Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
Not because you don't have free speech.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
And I'm a free speech absolutist, but owning businesses, working
with people, yeah, you sometimes have to go Look, I'm
not stopping you from saying that. I'm not stopping you
from doing that. What I am saying, though it's become
detrimental to my company, to the other employees, to the customers.
So you're gonna have to do it somewhere else. And
(01:02:13):
you're like, oh, nobody's stopping you from saying those things.
Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
And let's be real.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Some of the people you see here like they were
probably looking for a reason, and you wad right into
the perfect trap for that, Because I guarantee if you're
making a millions of dollars.
Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
They'll find a way to keep you. They will. And look,
a good thing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Would be to bring these people together with Turning Point
people and have conversations and turn it into something. Some
of them are unreachable, but I think that would have
been a good thing. And yeah, for some of them
are teachers and nurses and stuff. Yeah, you've crossed that
line that ain't come back. But it doesn't mean for
some of these other people people. Somebody asked me yesterday, well,
(01:03:01):
how do you feel well if a nurse does it
or a teacher does it? Yeah, I got a real
issue a pilot absolutely, well, how can you make it different?
Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
Again?
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
There are certain things that we expect from certain segments
of society that we don't expect from a comic or
a super liberal publisher of a magazine or whatever it is.
I mean, again, you want to have kouth and some decorum,
and we lost a lot of that and being nice
and kind to each other. But you get where I'm
(01:03:30):

Speaker 1 (01:04:57):
If you like talk radio like Chad Benson likes his meals,
You've come to the perfect place for takeout.
Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
It's Wednesday. We enjoy having fun on Wednesday. We've got
to girl kindly here. She joins a program every Wednesday, well,
a lot of her content does.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
It's White Girl Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
This is when white liberal girls, especially like Kyler, like
to tell all of us how we need.
Speaker 4 (01:05:19):
To live our lives in a better way. We put
in the work so you don't have to.
Speaker 12 (01:05:23):
I am Kylie, and this is my impression of what
life would be like if women talked about men the
same way they talk about us. Oh yeah, he's totally unqualified.
He only got the promotion because he slept his way
to the top. Honestly, I don't care what he has
to say. He just needs to go start in only fans.
Speaker 4 (01:05:35):
Yeah, I know he.
Speaker 12 (01:05:36):
Has a degree, but I know more about that than
he does, like obviously, Oh no, no, no, no, I'm
not sexist. I just think you're inherently lesser than me
and stupider because I am a woman.
Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
Men belong in the shed.
Speaker 12 (01:05:47):
That's the only place that they should be at this point.
Men just need to be good husbands and submit to
their wives, and if they don't care for at least
three kids, then their life is literally worthless. Yeah, you
just got to really grab them by the crotch, you know,
when they're acting up, Just grab right in there. I
genuinely don't think most men could tolerate the way that
they talk about us if the roles were reversed. If
any of these statements made you uncomfortable, I would encourage
(01:06:08):
you to reevaluate the way that you talk about the
women in your life, because it's never too late to
change and be more respectful of women. So do better
and know that you wouldn't want your daughters, your sisters,
et cetera to be treated the way that I just
talked about anyway.
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Now, I'd like to dispute that, but I'll let my
friends and family guy do it. Come on, Chris, girls
are terrible.
Speaker 14 (01:06:26):
They're always backstabbing and giving each of their phony compliments.
Speaker 11 (01:06:30):
Oh wow, you are definitely not afraid of dessert.
Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
You know.
Speaker 12 (01:06:33):
I wish I were secure enough to throw on any
old thing and call it an outfit.
Speaker 11 (01:06:37):
Come on, you have so much body confidence. I mean,
who wouldn't with those strong legs, so muscular. I'm jealous
of how thick with strength they are.
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Hey, I like your tie. Thanks, then we know how friends. Yeah,
just throwing that out there.
Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
And by the way, I have met women and the
way that you guys talk about each other is really bad.
And if you don't think men don't just absolutely crush
each other's soul.
Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
Again, you aren't paying attention. Just putting that out there.
Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
I know. It's white Girl Wednesday, and we love to
do the work, and we do it for you so
you don't have to. Top of that, it is a Wednesday,
and the date is the seventeenth of September, the year
of the Lord twenty twenty five. But on this date,
many amazing things took place.
Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
On a kind of time, a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
Now it's time for this day in history.
Speaker 15 (01:07:37):
We look back on this seat to find out what
the famous things took place.
Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Well, let's have a little fun here. We had a
lot of stuff happening on this day in history. On
this day in history, the US Constitution seventeen eighty seven
was signed. Delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia of
Brotherly Love signed the final draft of the United States Constitution,
(01:08:04):
creating the framework for the US government. Well this date
in history, seventeen ninety six George Washington's farewell address. He
was saying, watch out against political factions, foreign entanglements, and
the you know, war industrial machine.
Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
I don't think you said that, but.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Eighteen sixty two, the Battle of Antietam took place. It
was the bloodiest single day in US military history, over
twenty two thousand casualties.
Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
It was inconclusive.
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
He gave President Lincoln the momentum to issue the Emancipation Proclamation.
Speaker 4 (01:08:45):
Soon afterwards, though.
Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
Nineteen thirty nine, the Soviet Union invaded Poland, just over
two weeks after Germany invaded Poland. The Soviets said we
should get in on this, since the reason why the
Polish are pissed off.
Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Nineteen seventy eight Camp David Accords were signed. Egyptian President
and war Sadat, an Israeli prime Minister Monoccham began brokeered
by the US President by the name of Jimmy Carr
signed the accords that paved the way for Egypt Israel
peace Treaty and for Sadat was also his death sentence.
Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
Other things that took place in this day in history.
Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
Nineteen eighty three, Vanessa Williams becomes the first black Miss America.
Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
So she was Miss America.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
She was black.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
And then later on less than a year later, all
those photos came out. Of course, we know what happened
from there. Oprah in nineteen ninety six launched her book club,
very influential.
Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
Indeed, on the day in history.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Twenty eleven, Occupy Wall Street began, and that was quite
a movement and is still has some things going on
out there that is definitely making news, especially when it
comes to socialism and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (01:09:58):
Famous birthdays.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Hank Williams was born on this day in nineteen twenty three.
Danielle Brooks, an American actress best known for Orange's New Black,
was born in nineteen eighty nine. Patrick Mahomes was born
on this day in nineteen ninety five. There's just a
few of the things that happen on this day in history,
September seventeenth. Man, I tell you what, I'll tell you
(01:10:23):
what constitution signed out there?
Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
Right out there.
Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
They're big.
Speaker 4 (01:10:29):
Give me a feather, make it a big feather. Yes,
the bigger feather. I'm gonna write my name so big.
Look how big a feathery this is? Well, they didn't
have ballpoint pens. It was like they had in multiplanc
Did they I don't think they did. I don't think
they didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
Although all kidding aside, what George Washington was talking about
the Farewell address that he gave and entanglements. Hello, right,
what we have going on in our world.
Speaker 4 (01:11:10):
As far as.
Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
The way that we're at each other, the political factions
and the way that they're at each other.
Speaker 4 (01:11:19):
He was worried.
Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
And remember he stepped down. It was a voluntary thing,
and that's that's what separates us. You have the ultimate
power and being the most powerful person, and then you
choose to step down, which is amazing. But he did
worry about the future of the country because we're in
our infancy and you know, even back then, politics played
(01:11:44):
its role in the battle to have that power.
Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
Was very real, very real.
Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson Show. Is your ex your Insta, your
YouTube and Facebook? And speaking of YouTube, will be live tonight,
I want to say, right around seven o'clock East Coast time.
So my uncle and I we're going to get together.
(01:12:10):
I'm sure we're going to battle a lot about Charlie
Kirk and a bunch of other stuff. But if you
have a chance to check us out tonight, and if
you miss any of the show, shame money, make sure
you grab that podcast right here on the Chat Benson Show.
Coming up, our number three of the program. It is
one Hit Wonder Wednesday. We've got that for you little
what's trending blackpilled? I mean, everybody's searching for the reason
(01:12:34):
why the alleged shooter did what he did a week
ago in Utah, my killing Charlie Kirk. How much more
is out there that we need to have a serious
conversation about with these young men that are in deep
despair and who are living this nihilistic world inside of
the Internet that they're going to bring out to the
(01:12:55):
real world, which is scary. We're also going to talk
about Israel, Venezuela, among other things. If you're listening to
the show, make sure you grabbed the podcast. Our number
three of the program, straight Ahead Chat, Benson Chat.
Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
He was on the left. No, he was on the right.
He hated Charlie Kirk. No, he was on the right.
He was super maggot. He double ated Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Charlie Kirk. What's it, mag No, I think the Israelis
did it. Ah, that's all the stuff you're hearing about
Charlie Kirk. And it's awful. It's a horrible, horrible thing
what took place a week ago.
Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
And we're trying to have a different discussion here. I
do that a little bit different. You know, we have fun,
but we also have serious conversations. We look at things
outside the box, probably the way that in our mind
that we probably think things really are comparatively to everybody
else trying to win points.
Speaker 4 (01:14:19):
People ask me all the time, why don't you go
on TV shows and do those things?
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
Because I don't want to argue with people and have
to say insane things. They're not interested in, Hey, what's
the reality that it happened like this? They're not interested
in any of those. What they're interested in is can
you scream and yell? Can you defend your side's position?
(01:14:45):
And can you do that in an extreme way? So
that's why I don't because there it drives me crazy.
But last night I was slipping around and I saw
a bit of this and this was Montel Williams. Glad
to see he's doing well. If you don't know him,
(01:15:06):
many of you may be a.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Little bit younger.
Speaker 4 (01:15:08):
Who the hells Montel Williams?
Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
He was a talk show host who's got multiple scrosses
and apparently he is also a political pundit.
Speaker 4 (01:15:20):
And he was on CNN last night.
Speaker 25 (01:15:21):
Talking about a love torn child, a kid. This is
probably his first real relationship and somebody was disparaging the
person that he loved. He sat on that building for
thirty minutes before he took the shot. Why do you
wait until the first word trance came up?
Speaker 8 (01:15:39):
Then he took the shot.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
You think he heard it? He could hear I.
Speaker 25 (01:15:41):
Think you could hear it. I think he also. I
don't believe he was motivated politically. I think this was
motivated emotionally.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Guys, So you heard Scott chime in Eurybuddy lonely Scott
over there at CNN. So Scott's gonna we'll play his
he comes back any fire off. And I mean, look,
there's a lot going on here, and if we're serious
about it, there's a lot of angry, pissed off young
(01:16:09):
men who are grasping at straws.
Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
Who are.
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Looking at the world in a nihilistic, black pilled way,
angry to the point where they're willing to do horrific things.
Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
And they're easily.
Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
Motivated because they're finding kinship online with other people who
feel the same way, who invite them in. And then
they start to go down a rabbit hole and then
it gets deeper, and then it gets deeper, and then
it gets deeper, and then it gets deeper, and then
(01:16:47):
they're gone. They're living on the fringes in many ways,
but not the fringe. Is like when you see somebody
who's homeless. They're on the fringes of society. These people
are on the fringes, but they have two worlds they
(01:17:08):
live in, one being in front of us every day, Hey,
what's going on, and the other in the world that
they've now decided as their real world. And they're pissed
and they're angry and they're full of hate. And we
talked about yesterday the looks maxing and and all of
the things that these these guys are trying to go through.
Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
They're pissed off because women won't date them.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
They're not tall enough, they're not this, they're not that,
and so they just hate the world and it doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Politics plays little part in it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
If if a group of people politically can pull them in,
they're supt you know, susceptible to that.
Speaker 4 (01:17:46):
But it could be anybody. It's like a.
Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
Blank slate and and and they're looking for somebody and
something to.
Speaker 4 (01:17:57):
To share their misery with.
Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
And they're finding that and they're bringing them in and
it could be right or left. It's a nihilistic they
don't care. They just want somebody to share their misery
and they find it. And this guy was kind of,
(01:18:25):
you know, pushed definitely to the left with some of
his crazy, wacky ideology. But how much of that is
real and how much of it is just putting crappy,
weird things out there because he didn't care. I mean,
that's what we got to get to. How many more
of them are out there? How many more of them
(01:18:47):
are people that maybe your kids know, or maybe your
grandkids know, or maybe somebody you know that is kind
of drifting off and you're not quite sure why. And
they're getting deeper and deeper, and they're pulling away more
and more from society. That's the question that has to
(01:19:08):
be asked and needs to be answered sooner rather than later.
And you know, for some people, j Montel tredi Well
is about love and he's got this transfurry person whatever,
and that's what it's going to be. For the right,
that's the big headlines. Another trans person kills a whole
bunch of people. Go look at all of these people
(01:19:30):
over the last several months that have done these things.
They share these kind of things in common. They have
found people that are pissed and angry as they are.
They're sharing their nihilistic viewpoint of the world with each other.
They have commonality in that disdain and they have taken
it from the thought process to the action process, which
(01:19:54):
is horrific. But they could have stumbled into a QAnon
room or a four Chan room that could have been
more white supremacist and moved that direction.
Speaker 4 (01:20:10):
They're looking for.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
Commonality and the commonality is the world sucks, it's horrible,
it's never going to get better, and it's everybody else's fault.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Guys.
Speaker 26 (01:20:20):
The evidence here is overwhelming, he said, Charlie Kirk, I
can't stand his hate anymore. I'm going to take him out.
He the testimony from him, in the statements of his family.
He had become more left wing. He etched the statements
that are made by the left about Republicans and conservatives
and Charlie Kirk fascist on the bullet cases.
Speaker 8 (01:20:40):
He made a joke about it in his last text.
Speaker 26 (01:20:42):
Well, it doesn't sound like a joke to me, because
someone's dead and about to be buried. Wow, So it
doesn't sound like a.
Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
Joke to me.
Speaker 26 (01:20:48):
So I'm just telling you there is an effort. There
was an effort all weekend long on the left try
to make this guy sound like he was a conservative
that failed, that was passed around all over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
That is now failed.
Speaker 26 (01:21:00):
The evidence has now come out. He was motivated by hate,
he was motivated by left wing radicalism. He got mixed
up with some trans ideology in his life. We'll learn
more about that, I'm sure when more evidence and testimony
comes out. We are looking around the edges of this
for something other.
Speaker 4 (01:21:16):
Than what's staring us in the face.
Speaker 26 (01:21:19):
Left wing radicalism got this kid. He went up to
a roof and he murdered our friend.
Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
And that's what happened.
Speaker 4 (01:21:26):
No, it's not what's staring us in the face. Long term.
This was a guy. Once again, we look, who is it?
Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Lonely white guy, pissed, angry, grasping at something going down
rabbit holes, and the ideology is there for them, and
they pick it up and they pull further away from society.
Speaker 13 (01:21:50):
It is.
Speaker 4 (01:21:52):
Awful what he did.
Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
Nobody is trying to to make him out to.
Speaker 4 (01:21:58):
Be some sort of victim in this. That's not it.
Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
But if we don't stare at what's happening and then go, okay,
let's look at it from a different angle and find
out if we can start breaking this thing down, Because
do you think he's the last one that's down these
rabbit holes? Do you think he's the last one that
is out there and saying, hey, you know what, I'm
not going to do anything. No, there's how many of them,
(01:22:23):
hundreds thousands in cells, angry people pick what you're looking for,
replacement theory, transgender issues. We can go on and on
about It doesn't matter what the subject is. There's a
common bond of lonely, pissed off, angry and the world's
(01:22:47):
getting away from them, and that this is their way
to get revenge. That's what we need to be looking
at if we're serious, because again the right and the left,
they're more interested in the political side of this is
making it about the other side, that's what they're more
(01:23:07):
interested in. For me, like I say, I do things different,
I want to look at things in all ways. Are
there people out there that only do stuff for political reasons?
One hundred percent? One hundred percent, But are we serious
about trying to figure out who is?
Speaker 4 (01:23:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
Maybe the next one that we can get to that
we see people draw away from.
Speaker 4 (01:23:36):
Who go down rabbit holes.
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
It's not like somebody picks up a book one day,
reads a in the book and a few articles and goes, oh,
I'm going to go in this direction.
Speaker 4 (01:23:47):
They're looking for something.
Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
People are providing that, not that I think these people
are pushing them to do it.
Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
Maybe some are, maybe some are. We're going to find out.
Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
We're going to get deep diving in this, and we
have been, but could it also be there's a bigger
thing here at play when it comes to society and
men them feeling left behind, them broken. More and more
of them aren't working, they're not in the workforce, not
participating in dating.
Speaker 4 (01:24:13):
They haven't dated for years. They're watching porn.
Speaker 2 (01:24:17):
And all they do all day is wallow in their
misery at the job that they probably hate. They come home,
maybe they're still living at home with mom and dad,
and they look around and think life sucks and it's
never going to get any better, and women and blah blah,
it doesn't matter what the hell it is. That guy
got the that guy got the the rais and I
didn't get the raise, and I didn't get the promotion
(01:24:37):
because he's black or he's they're looking for something to
put an excuse out there, and it's about time that
we go, okay, let's take a step back and go,
maybe maybe we need to look at things in a
different way. If we're really going to try to solve something,
because we're not, then you know, we just want to
be able to yell at each other.
Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
And go, ah, it's their fault, No, it's our fault. Well,
then what are we doing?
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):

Bob yesterday when I kept saying that old Bob called him,
Bob said of Robert, as if I knew him, I
didn't know him. Okay, now I didn't know him. Stop
(01:29:42):
calling him Bob. I bet you people did though. I
bet you mm hmmm. People look at him and go,
what's up, Bob? Because his name was Robert. That's what
it just never mind, never mind you.
Speaker 4 (01:29:56):
Feifolter gosp destroyed. We got some more on that coming up,
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
More on the whole thing with Israel and the frustration
that I think a lot of people have had who
are younger with what's going on and maybe don't understand
the nuance, and there's lots of it, and it's perplexing
and there's so many things that you can focus on,
and Israel is doing whatever the hell they want, and
(01:30:27):
that is not a good place for us to be,
considering we're signing all the checks and kind of give
them a thumbs up on that. Talk a little bit
more about that. We got one hit wonder Wednesday on
the way as well. Good one today, too, good one
today because it's a guy that had a one hit
then never disappeared, just never had another hit again, and
(01:30:48):
yet we hear his music almost daily, So.
Speaker 4 (01:30:52):
That'll be a fun one too.

The Chad.
Speaker 1 (01:31:05):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
It's Wednesday, and on Wednesdays we talk white girls stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
What is that?
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
This is where in particular, Kylie, our good friend, very progressive.
Speaker 4 (01:31:38):
Very liberal doing the work during the Lord's.
Speaker 2 (01:31:41):
Work, tells you and I especially us men, white men
in particular, and if you're a Christian, cisgender, white.
Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
Male, you better listen to this or else.
Speaker 2 (01:31:50):
She tells us, how we better behave the things that
we do, and how we need to get some good
progressive church or whatever.
Speaker 12 (01:31:57):
Way a white person talks about people of color when
they're angry, what shows their true colors. Prior to Trump's presidency,
it wasn't in style to be racist, and actually it
was looked down upon. White people realized that they could
lose their jobs and so they became better and better
at hiding it. And because of this, the only way
that they would reveal their true feelings is when a
person of color makes them angry. For instance, take a
look at this video with Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
I look like a capitalistuffish to go back.
Speaker 12 (01:32:18):
And I would say this phenomenon is pretty common among
white people. They might seem like they're okay until someone
makes them upset, and then they result to slurs, name calling,
et cetera. It's something you see a lot in common
sections as well. And essentially what's happening is that the
more threatened they feel, the more they need to lash out.
They're so used to being in power and respected all
the time that when a person of color quote steps
(01:32:38):
out of line and their eyes, then they immediately feel
the need to retaliate, and sometimes it's just verbal assaults
like calling somebody slurs, and other times it actually does
lead to physical violence. This is just a reminder that
the only way to see how some white people feel
about you truly is when they're angry, and if they
get really out of line, even if they apologize, you
should absolutely not be friends with this person because they
clearly do not value you.
Speaker 4 (01:32:59):
Or your life. Okay, well, let's break this down.
Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
The thing that she was talking about there was a
heated debate and what she thought and what everybody else
has gone out and said is a racial slur against
an Asian is not true. He was having a debate
with Chank Huger from The Young Turks ce NK Fat
(01:33:22):
Chank on our show. I was fortunate enough to do
some stuff with him at one of the conventions, and
Chank even came out last week and was really upset
because he and Charlie had become, you know, even though
they were on the different side of the aisles when
it comes to politics, they'd kind of become friends, and
he'd become friendly with Charlie's family and wife, and he
(01:33:44):
was devastated by the news that was a debate in
front of a lot of people, and there was crowds
and people were cheering. That is not the same thing.
It's going into another room and saying something. There was
not a good use of white girl Wednesday.
Speaker 17 (01:33:59):
There.
Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
I'm going to call all a foul on you this time.
I want you to go back and work because that
wasn't right. And here's the other thing, and I think
this is serious. If you have a friend that will
never be anything but a racist, all right, maybe if
you have somebody who says some stupid stuff, you sit
down and go, dude, come on, you're better than that.
(01:34:19):
That's not how people are. Okay, it's not You got
to do better than that, cause that doesn't teach anybody
to change their behavior. You just sent them away. It's
like when they try to take away free speech and
then you don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
Where crazy is. No, it's better to know where crazy is.
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
And if you want to get people to move in
a direction where they see things differently, you have to
be able to converse with them. That's what I'm saying
right there. Okay, but that's my she's younger than me.
I'm a little bit older than her, so that's a
little bit of the wisdom right there. It's not going
to cost anything. Okay, right there, right there, I'd give
(01:34:59):
this guy wisdom. This was a dumb thing to do.
You know, we've been talking about people getting fired and
last week because of what happened and kill me. It's
probably lucky that this didn't happen on a different week.
He said this when they were talking about DC and
crime and the homeless.
Speaker 25 (01:35:16):
Billions of dollars to mental health and the homeless population.
Speaker 4 (01:35:20):
A lot of them don't want to take the programs,
a lot of them don't want to get the help
that is necessary. You can't give them a choice.
Speaker 25 (01:35:27):
Either you take the resources that were going to give
you and or you decide that you got to be.
Speaker 4 (01:35:32):
Locked up in jail.
Speaker 8 (01:35:33):
That's the way it has to be now.
Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
Or involuntary lethal injection or something.
Speaker 3 (01:35:37):
Just kill them.
Speaker 4 (01:35:39):
Well, that's that's no. Let's go with the no on that.
Let's go the hard no on that.
Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
And remember all of this happened, and then it happened
I think Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning, and then by
the afternoon, because of what was going on, it went away.
Speaker 4 (01:35:57):
He came and said, I don't tell this thing.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
We were discussing the murder of Arena Saruska and show
in North Carolina.
Speaker 4 (01:36:04):
Now to stop these kinds of attacks. During that discussion,
I wrongly said they.
Speaker 5 (01:36:08):
Should get lethal injections.
Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
I apologize for that extremely callous remark.
Speaker 4 (01:36:12):
I'm obviously aware that not old, mentally ill homeless people
act as the.
Speaker 17 (01:36:16):
Perpetrator did in North Carolina, and that so many homeless
people deserve our empathy and compassion.
Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
People were like, why didn't he lose his job? Two reasons.
Number one, he makes the money.
Speaker 4 (01:36:28):
They like him. He makes the money.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Number Two, the left is screaming for it. And while
it was abhorrent what he said, he's paid to give
opinions and sometimes they go a little too far, and
that one did, and anger, frustration, all of the stuff.
Because of what happened. There's no excuse for it. There isn't.
(01:36:53):
But the money thing is real too. If you're making
a money man, they'll find out a way. If he
was a teacher and he said, it'd be some serious
questions about Oh, I don't think you're allowed to teach
here anymore. But you work for Fox, it's a different story.
Just like if you work for MSNBC, like they got
rid of Matthew Dowd for saying the most inane, stupid
(01:37:13):
thing last week right after Charlie Kirk, and they can't
I've already seen they've canceled stuff. What he said was ridiculous.
But you pay people to say certain things, right, That's
that's what happens with this this media world that we
now live in, and to get above the fray, people
(01:37:34):
are paid to say stuff. And if you guys don't remember,
he came out and it just happened, and the first
thing he said was, well, we don't know who shot him,
could have been one of Charlie's supporters who fired a
gun in the air, which that alone was stupid enough
to go, you know, I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
Think we should have this guy round here.
Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
But then then he came out and then he went
and said, well, you know he traffics and hate and
we can't be surprised about stuff like this, and that
I'm not a big get rid of people guy.
Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
And had it happened two days later, probably wouldn't have
been as big of a deal, but it was. But
there's a difference between kill me and the value that
Fox has on him, then Matthew Dowd, who's a contributor.
It's like they call you up and go, can you
come on today at such and such? Like Sure, I've
(01:38:24):
done a couple of those. I don't like doing them
because I want to scream over everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:38:27):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
And the way that these things work is they sometimes
they tell you what you're gonna be talking about, and
other times they tell you nothing outside of here's the subject.
They might say, Hey, you know, we're gonna have this person,
this person, this person, it's gonna be these things that
we're gonna be talking about.
Speaker 4 (01:38:42):
Go and away you go.
Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
And sometimes it's like, oh, this person's coming on, we're
talking about that, and that's all you get.
Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
Oh they won't even tell you who the other person is.
Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
And I just don't, first of all, because my first
my first inclination is to sigh and roll my eyes
a god, and then it's to say something probably funny,
and I just I don't do that. I don't pedal
in craziness and hyperbole. It's funny that people will say
that somebody said, after this happened last week, oh you know,
(01:39:13):
blood of Charlie's on your hands. I'm like, what, well,
because of how much you spread hate? And I'm like
I don't, uh what, And then a bunch of people
came and they attacked him, and I'm like, no, no, dude, do.
Speaker 4 (01:39:25):
You listen to my show? Have you listened to anything
I'm about? I'm anything but that. No.
Speaker 2 (01:39:30):
I like solutions, and I don't want to pedal and hate,
and I think we're a lot better than that, and
I think we better figure out how we become a
better nation to each other. But some people are paid
to stir the pot, and that included Charlie. By the way,
he understood that three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at you had Benson show is
your extur instat coming up.
Speaker 4 (01:39:50):
Let's be real. Enough of this, enough of all, that's
enough enough. One hit Wonder Wednesday? What funny thing is
the guy that's got one hit Onder Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
The song you may be familiar with, but after that
he never had another hit, But all the rest of
his music you'll be way more familiar with, which is
kind of odd.
Speaker 4 (01:40:12):
We'll do that straight ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:41:35):
Welcome to chesh No, not the country, the institution is
the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
As we have of the show on this Wednesday, get
you one of my favorite things that we love to do.
Speaker 4 (01:41:51):
It's called One Hit Wonder Wednesday. And this is where
we examine.
Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
We break down the song by an artist, a band,
a duo that for a brief moment in time, they
captured the world with their dulceset tones and their musical sweetness.
And as quickly as they came dazzling us, they disappeared.
(01:42:17):
Yet for a brief moment they were stars. For a
brief moment they had that thing we simply know as
one Hit Wonder.
Speaker 4 (01:42:29):
Now it's time for.
Speaker 15 (01:42:30):
Another edition of One Hit Wonder Wednesday.
Speaker 16 (01:42:41):
You may not remember the name of the band.
Speaker 4 (01:42:47):
But you definitely know the song.
Speaker 15 (01:42:57):
This Bruiser, this is One Hit Wonder Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (01:43:03):
All right, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Today's One Hit Wonder came off an album that came
out nineteen seventy seven, but the single was released in
nineteen seventy eight. Now when you hear the single in
the song which did okay got to number nine on
the Billboard Hot one hundred, and it was his only
major hit.
Speaker 4 (01:43:21):
And we'll tell you who he is in a minute.
Speaker 2 (01:43:23):
He had help though on the song on the album
Bill Simchek, who was the guy that produced the Eagles, Right,
So there's this polished kind of feel the SoCal production.
They got Joe waltsh from the Eagles to jumping on
feature guitar. So he's got all the jam going on,
a little smooth gritty and it's got a yacht rock edge.
Speaker 4 (01:43:44):
Oh baby. Indeed.
Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
Now the song itself is called thunder Island. It's done
by Jay Ferguson. Now, Jay Ferguson had already been an artist.
Speaker 4 (01:43:54):
He was in a psychedelic band man called Spirit had
a hit with them, I Got a line on You.
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
He then co founded Jojo Gunn that had hit as well,
Run Run Run. But this was his only solo hit,
and it became something kind of big and cool in
the yacht rock world especially, and kind of had a
big revival. But the song itself is so much fun.
And for you that are a little bit younger, you'll
hear this and say, wait a minute, didn't I hear
(01:44:22):
that on a family guy? And yes, you did from
nineteen seventy eight. It's a hell of a song and
it's a lot of fun. Jay Ferguson and thunder Island Jason,
(01:45:33):
I love this song. It makes me smile, and yes,
it does make me think of Stewie from Family Guy.
Speaker 4 (01:45:40):
Now, normally we talk about them a lot of times.
Speaker 2 (01:45:42):
They kind of disappear into the ether, most of these
one hit wonders. But oddly enough, our good buddy here,
mister Ferguson, decided no, I'm not going to do that.
Sitting around trying to figure out what the hell was
going on with his life because things weren't working the
way he thought they should be working.
Speaker 8 (01:46:01):
Music was changing, Punk was coming in, La was changing,
Lindon was changing, and I felt like I was part
of a sound that it was a string to get
dated and it just wound down. And then I got
a call from Bud Carr, who was my manager at
the time, and he said, Hey, do you have any
songs sitting around? I'm working in this movie. It's like
(01:46:22):
the science fiction thing, and I don't think it's going
to go anywhere. They say it's going to last a
couple of weekends at the drive in but they need
some songs. So I said, oh, yeah, I've got these songs.
I gave him five or six songs. They went into
the movie and the movie was Terminator Wow, and it
just blew up.
Speaker 2 (01:46:38):
It blew up in a major way. And then he decided, hey,
check this out. I am a little long in the
tooth for the music industry. I don't want to tour anymore.
The music I want to do isn't going to make
me any money, and I'm just I'm over that. Now
(01:47:02):
that I see that I can do this, Is there
any way I can do more of these things? And
sure enough, our good buddy Jay Ferguson decided he was
going to produce and compose music for TV and movies,
and he started to build up quite a.
Speaker 4 (01:47:24):
Big, big resume on the.
Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
Movie side, and then he had a couple things work
with television, and then well, then.
Speaker 8 (01:47:34):
This is a high profile show. They put the call
out to everybody. They had songs from Elo, They had
songs from all these writers, every television writer. I got
the call from my agent and I said, okay, I
said down, and I wrote songs about this concept of
the show. These people at this in the workplace and
this sort of functional workplace in the Midwest town. And
I was putting together the CD, maybe three or four songs,
(01:47:57):
and I had this, literally it was like almost a sketch,
this little skabet thing. I went, I'm gonna put it
on nice. So I sent it in. A couple of
weeks later, I get a call back and it was
one of the producers in the show and they said, yeah, well,
you know, just kind of liked that little ska thing
you did. I went, okay. I get a call another
(01:48:17):
two weeks. You know, we keep playing that little ska thing.
You know, we keep playing another two weeks and this
went on. It Finally it was like they just gave up.
They just said, that's it.
Speaker 4 (01:48:28):
That's right. The main title of the Office.
Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
On top of that, composed pretty much everything on ncis
across the board, about four hundred episodes.
Speaker 4 (01:48:36):
Jay's done quite all right.
