Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Who is going to blink first, Republicans or Democrats? You
know who's blinking right now, Americans, because we can't believe
our eyes that these two groups of supposedly grown up
adults can't get their asses inside of a room and
figure out how to get this thing sorted out. Now,
as we head to this little holiday called Turkey Day Thanksgiving,
(00:39):
we could see a situation that could be so disastrous
when it comes to not just travel, but the economy itself.
And we're going to start shutting down.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Airspace what In an unprecedented move, President Trump's Transportation Secretary
Sean Duffy announcing the FAA will cut flight capacity by
ten percent, which experts say means thousands of flights will
be canceled across forty major airports by the weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
It's going to lead to more cancelations that we're going
to work with the airlines to do this in a
systematic way.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Across the country.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Air traffic controller shortages have already caused massive delays and
cancelations as workers go without pay and call out sick.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yes and more and more workers are doing something like oh,
taking another job, including air traffic controllers. It is already
a nightmare at the airports in a lot of these airports.
I have seen. I am just whoa I was watching it.
(01:52):
It was a Houston. It's a three hour delay just
to get through into the TSA and go through there.
Can you believe that? Did I mention Thanksgiving? And why
that's important? The economy stupid, is why that's important.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
ABC News exclusively obtaining the list of the forty airports
that will be affected, from Hartsfield, Jackson and Atlanta to
LAX in Los Angeles, and from Miami to JFK in
New York. Sources say the FAA will begin cutting four
percent of the flights tomorrow and will ramp up to
ten percent of flights through the coming weekend if the
government is still shut down.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
All right, let's take a look at the airports. I'll
just give you a run through Anchorage, Hartsfield, Boston, Logan, Dallas,
Love Ronald Reagan, DC, Denver, Dallas, Fort Worth, Honolulu, Houston
(02:51):
already having issues, Dallas, George Bush In Houston, Las Vegas, Lax, LaGuardia,
that's New York, Midway in Chicago, Portland International, Phoenix, Sky Harbor,
San Diego, Louisville, Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake, Teeterborough, Tampa.
(03:13):
I don't know if that was all of them, but
my goodness, meet, what a nightmare this is going to be.
And this is what is going to happen. Blame is
going to be assigned, and trying to wash that stink
off without trying to get into a position where you
continue to negotiate is going to be stuck with you.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
This is going to be an unimaginable, unprecedented, unwelcome, unpleasant
level of chaos. If you don't have to fly starting
on Friday, please don't stay home.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
I am I will and thank you. Don't do it,
down't do it now. The Republicans and Democrats are doing
what they're supposed to be doing in this situation. You're
fighting for what you think is the right thing. And
let me see, is it the right thing for us
or is the right thing for the parties? Because that's
(04:14):
what it's all about, right, it's about the parties. Well,
both the parties need to get their heads out their butts.
Realize the people are speaking and the people are pissed
and frustrated. It's affecting our lives, and maybe we need
to be a little louder. We're the exhausted majority. I
use the word majority because it matters in this situation.
Speaker 7 (04:37):
It's a record length shut down, and with that there
are more and more consequences. We've seen a lot of
different government programs be affected by a lack of federal
funding that's lasted for over a month now, and that's
included things like Snap and other food benefits that really
affect a lot of Americans, and also a lot of
federal workers going without pay.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah, now, polymarket, let's just go there really quick. When
will it end? Well, November twelfth through the fifteenth, thirty
one percent November sixteenth plus back up to near fifty percent.
If we get to the holidays and everything's still shut down,
(05:23):
and I count, you know, Thanksgiving as the holidays, because
that's that's a big time. We're out shopping at Black
Friday and Cyber Monday's coming, I got all this stuff.
If we get to that point, we're travels just essentially,
and people aren't going anywhere and they're going I don't
(05:43):
know if we're gonna be able to spend this year.
Let me tell you who's going to get that. Blame
the Republicans because the music will have stopped. But you
got to assign blame to both sides. You do, Do
I understand what the republic Aplicans are doing when it
comes to Obamacare? Yes? Absolutely, But that being said, you
(06:11):
guys control the House, Senate, the Presidency. You need to
take lead on this. This is not about you and
your party. This is about the American people, and the
American people are going to be more than a bit
frustrated because we already are with you guys. Now you
(06:35):
start coupling this in even more so now that you
know I said, I didn't think it would ever get
close to lasting this long, but a last, here we are,
and the question is what do we do.
Speaker 8 (06:48):
Donald Trump can't stop this garment shut down by simply
meeting with a Ford nice Leave leader the publgand Democrat
and solve this issue.
Speaker 9 (06:57):
Enough is enough.
Speaker 10 (06:58):
The political stunt that that the Democrats are pulling is
is hurting real people.
Speaker 8 (07:04):
Under the policies of Donald Trump and Republicans. Inflation continues
to increase, food prices have gone up, and healthcare costs
is skyrocketing.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Well, the healthcare costs, that's on you. Guys, inflation look
still some of Biden And yes, this now I would
say eighty five ninety percent is Trump's economy. But the
healthcare cost is on you. So let's not try to
push that off. Now. The Republicans need to come up
with a better plan than well, we're just letting these
(07:36):
things expire. We're not going to get these you know,
subsidies out anymore. And it's already broken, so you know what,
we'll try to fix it later. That is not an
argument that people want to hear. They want to know
that you actually have a plan. That's what they want
to know. What is the plan? Where is your plan?
(07:56):
And I don't hear much of a plan. Both of
you play a part in this. Democrats. This was your baby, Obamacare,
the ACA, and it has not worked. It has failed miserably.
Life is more expensive or further away from our our
you know, health care provider. So don't tell me, well,
it's therefaul. It's not right if we have to have
so much subsidies to actually make this thing work. Obviously
(08:21):
it didn't work the way you thought it was going to.
This is when you pivot and Republicans, you've talked about
how you wanted to place it for years. Now's your chance.
Now Trump wants to do something, and I'm a hard
no on it.
Speaker 11 (08:33):
It's cyber Republicans to do what they have to do
in this Terminate the filibuster.
Speaker 12 (08:37):
It's the only way you can do. And if you
don't germinate the filibuster, you'd be on benship. We won't
pass any legislation.
Speaker 11 (08:45):
We should start tonight with the country's open congratulations.
Speaker 12 (08:50):
Then we should pass voter ide who should pass no
mail in.
Speaker 11 (08:55):
Voter who should pass all the things that we wanted
to pass and make our elections secure?
Speaker 2 (08:59):
And say which is ridiculous, No, no, no, And John
Thune and everybody seems to be holding the line when
it comes to this. Thank God for that, Thank God
for that. Because you hit the nuclear option, it is
going to blow up in your face. And that's not
what our founding fathers wanted. They wanted there to be debated, bipartisanship,
(09:23):
even if you meant you bite your tongue to get
stuff done. Because if it's just going to be a
nuclear option where the majority wins, I'm going to tell
you this right now, you're going to see wide swings
in our politics. That is going to hurt our nation
in such a bad way. So we can't have that.
(09:44):
We can't. We can't, we can't, we can't. Yesterday, Trump
tariffs front and center Supreme Court.
Speaker 13 (09:51):
The or arguments, which ran almost three hours, really cut
across ideological lines. I will say the three liberal justices
were the most vigorously skeptical, openly skeptical of Trump's use
of this power. But there were a number of conservatives concerned,
including Chief Justice John Roberts, who sort of said, well,
who pays these tariffs? Aren't these tariffs attacks? It really
(10:14):
seems to be that that was the purview of Congress.
He questioned out loud several times.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yes, as he should. What do I think is going
to happen? I think by listening, and I listened for
probably hour and a half, almost two hours too, it
is in my mind the way that the conservative justices
asked the questions, could you get a sense of how
(10:41):
they're interacting and asking questions of where they this thing
is probably going to go. And I feel that it's
probably eighty percent, if you were to put a percentage
on it, that they are going to uphold the law
Court and say that Trump doesn't have the powers that
(11:04):
he thinks he has. And one of the big things
I think it was Kavanaugh who worried about if you
give the president this that's unchecked power, when would you
get it back and why would you get it back?
So yes, in my mind, I think this thing is
(11:26):
going to be overturned and then it's going to be
chaos when it comes to the tariff situation. How do
people get their money back? What does that look like?
What kind of fight is there going to be? It
is interesting three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, Sure Exture in Still.
We'll have more on this a little bit later. A
lot of stuff to get to, including straight ahead what
(11:47):
took place in Chicago yesterday with ice and a preschool teacher,
which was absolute. I had to beat myself there. Relief factor.
Love it, take it every single day. It is amazing.
Let me tell you somethingout relief factor. I work out
a lot. You guys know that I have been flowing
this and you know over the last year we had
(12:07):
so much change, and I will tell you this. Back
to working out almost on a daily basis and having
relief Factor. That they are knowing my aches and pains
in my body aren't going to be a hindrance is awesome. Okay.
Relief Factor has all kinds of amazing things and including
four key ingredients omega three fatty acids, ris veritrol, cusamin nicarin.
(12:29):
Each one of these supports the body's inflammatory response for
different metabolic pathways. This stuff works. You can take it
every single day I do. You will feel a difference.
I want you to try a three week quick start
right now. It's just nineteen ninety five is less than
a cup of coffee day. You can do this by
going to relief Factor dot com. That's relief Factor dot com.
(12:51):
Or call one eight hundred four relief That's eight hundred
the number four relief for relief Factor. This is the
Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
If I was a parent, I would have lost my
effing mind if I would have seen this happen. And
I'm talking about what took place in Chicago where a
preschool teacher was dragged out by ice in front of
the children. I would have lost my efing mind. But Chad,
(13:36):
she could be here legally. Maybe you know what gets
your head out of your ass. I don't know what
the hell you think you're doing. There are children in there.
She's a preschool teacher. You guys obviously have enough information
to know that she's probably not a threat to any
of the kids. So if you really need to catch her,
why do not you wait around and get her later
on in the afternoon.
Speaker 14 (13:57):
This video captured the moment ICE agents drag a pre
K teacher out of a daycare center on Chicago's North Side.
She can be seen pleading with the agents as she's
pushed up against a waiting sedan. At one point, she
shouts in Spanish, I have papers.
Speaker 15 (14:12):
Ice agents followed a teacher into the facility without a
warrant and abducted her in front of her students. This
woman is a trusted love member of her community with
a work permit.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
With the work permit, that's an important thing. But she's
here illegally. We'll get to that in a second. I
would have lost my mind. You dragged a woman out,
two of you for this that you could have waited around,
but we were chasing her, and she's here illegally, and
she tried to smuggle her kids in and da da da,
no offense. I don't believe you guys anymore. I don't
because I've seen more and more of this crap go
(14:51):
sideways on you and it pisses me off. But I
will tell you it's about fear. It's about fear because
Trump mumps. And let me tell you something I said
from the time that Biden was on stage debating Trump,
I think was the second debate the in and the
(15:13):
twenty twenty race. There's no chance in hell Biden would
ever get my vote based on what he said about immigration.
No chance in hell. We need a secure border. We
also need to use common sense and get our heads
out of our butts. And these are kids, and this
is a woman who you knew enough about to follow her,
(15:34):
yet at the same time you decide to go inside
of a private business three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson Show. Is your
ex your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and morph you miss any show?
Shame grab the podcast right here on the Chad Benson Show.
She was not a threat to the kids or to America.
(15:56):
But it's about fear, because you know what, it's much
easier for me to scare the crap out of everybody
and get you guys to go home, then it is
to catch a bunch of people. Ooh, let me know
what you think. In keeping with ice, do you guys
remember when the dude threw the subway sandwich at the
(16:16):
ice officers and they were like, we're gonna get him,
and they got him, and like we're gonna come after
him and we're gonna file federal charges for more guides
of crap. Well, the Dane Court.
Speaker 16 (16:25):
Prosecutors who brought the misdemeanor assault charge say Sean Dunn
created a disturbance that distracted Border patrol officers. Jurors were
shown a video in which Dunn admitted to police that
he threw his subway sandwich to draw the officers from
their post, but Dunn's defense attorney compared the alleged attack
to a child throwing a toy during a temper tantrum.
She noted the sandwich caused no physical injury, and she
(16:46):
said the agent who was struck kept mementos of the incident,
including a felony foot long badge he received from coworkers.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, look, it was idiotic and a misdemeanor I think
is right out side of that though. And JENNITHO you
said it was felony. They tried to get a felony
and they said, no, it's just so ridiculous. This is
where we live now, this is the world we live in.
And that guy was an idiot. And I have a
feeling a little probably intoxicated late at night, early in
(17:18):
the morning and you're having a foot long subway sandwich
and you threw it. I don't know what kind of
money you make that you could throw a sandwich like that.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson Show, is your act, your install Let
me know what you think about what took place in Chicago,
talking about it throughout the day as well, coming out
a lot of good stuff. What isn't a conocrat? And
(17:39):
Tom Brady did what Chad Benson, Joe.
Speaker 17 (17:42):
Son, Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
It is the economy stupid, period case close. Mike Johnson
came out the other day and he's like, got nothing
to worry about. I'm not too worried about any of
this stuff. No, the economy matters, period And I'm going
to play a few things for you before we get
to what an econocrat is. First.
Speaker 18 (18:23):
McDonald's fast food giant McDonald's has weathered many economic storms,
and the company has once again shifted to offer more
affordable offerings to appeal to customers, and its quarterly earnings call,
McDonald's CEO told investors the value in lower priced options
helped boost sales. The company also noted a change in
its customer profile. Lower income consumer traffic dropped by nearly
(18:45):
double digits and more affluent Americans turning to McDonald's is up,
a trend, the company says, we'll continue into the new year.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Now that's McDonald's people are trying to figure out exactly
what they're going to be sending their money on because
money is becoming tighter and tighter. And we're not just
talking about the government shutdown. We're just talking about the
reality of the economy we currently live in. We go
for McDonald's to this, what.
Speaker 9 (19:11):
If there was a car that could move nature with them.
Speaker 19 (19:14):
The founding of Tesla twenty two years ago was only
the beginning for the South African born emigrate to the US.
Handed a powerful government post by President Donald Trump.
Speaker 9 (19:22):
This is the chain's off of bureaucracy.
Speaker 19 (19:26):
Only to see the Broments crumble.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
I'm very disappointed in Eland.
Speaker 6 (19:29):
I've helped a lot, a.
Speaker 19 (19:30):
Lot through it all. Tesla has been musks, bread and butter,
and shareholders will decide today whether to give him a
pay package worth a trillion dollars over ten years.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I want you to soak that up. A trillion dollars
over ten years. That would be his new pay package,
a trillion dollars over ten years. We live in a
economy right now where the haves are getting farther and
(20:02):
farther away from the half nots. You know, people always
ask me what you show about. Why we talk politics,
we talk POLP culture, what side of the ayy ron?
I choose truth not bs. I care about us as Americans.
(20:23):
I do not care about the parties. I think the
parties have disappointed us. And not saying to everybody that's
in a party is bad. I'm just saying, for the
most part as we always say, it's the three b's
party first, personal second, whatever's left for the people. And
that is frustrating. And everybody's always trying to put me
(20:45):
in a box where you're this or you're that, or
you're this or you're that. You know what I always said,
I'm a staunch independent. Absolutely. There are things that I
think the Democrats do okay well, and there are things
I think the Republicans do well. And there are things
(21:09):
in many ways that both parties fail at. And unfortunately,
over the last umnteen years, it has become such a
crazy world where we have seen corporations dominate our politics.
And I'm not against Elon making a trillion dollars. I'm
(21:32):
not against free market, but the free market isn't free
like it used to be. And I came across this
and I thought this was rather interesting. Several people had
already said this to me. They're like, this guy kind
of sounds like you. I said, well, we differ in
some ways and against nuances important, but I think a
lot of people feel this way.
Speaker 20 (21:53):
The number one question I've gotten on my videos as well,
who did you vote for? And the answer is clearly surprised,
many of them Democrat or a Republican. I'm what's called
an econocrat. This essentially means I vote solely on which
candidate has the best economic policy for the working class,
but there's no econocrat parties, So who am I actually
voting for today? I'm looking at the actual record from
(22:15):
nineteen eighty till now of Republican and Democratic presidents. Who's
winning for your wallet and who's falling short?
Speaker 9 (22:21):
Why should you care?
Speaker 20 (22:23):
Because macroeconomics touches your daily life, jobs, wages, prices, savings,
and even though the president doesn't control everything, patterns do
emerge once you track decades of data. One big finding,
according to the studies, the economy tends to perform better
under democratic presidents on growth, job creation, and unemployment than
under Republican ones.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Is that true, Chaed Yeah, because we're going to break
it down on this because I have put it through
several different AI models along with my own research, and compiled.
By the way, the ais across the board almost one
hundred percent exactly the same. The wording was a little
bit different, but the numbers, for the most part were
(23:04):
exactly the same. So let's get to it.
Speaker 20 (23:08):
That doesn't mean Republicans are always bad or Democrats are
always good. Context does matter, but the patterns give us
something worth talking about, especially when so much campaigning spends
the wheel fix the economy line let's dig into the
numbers first.
Speaker 9 (23:23):
Here are some headline stats.
Speaker 20 (23:24):
On average, real inflation adjusted GDP growth under Democratic presidents
is about four point three percent, while under Republicans it
averages around two point five percent. Job creation is markedly
different too, roughly two point five times faster under Democrats
than under Republicans.
Speaker 9 (23:40):
Even if you go all the way back to Truman,
the seven.
Speaker 20 (23:43):
Democratic presidents oversaw the creation of seventy point five million jobs,
while Republican presidents only saw twenty nine point one million.
Those Democrat presidents were in office four hundred and twenty
nine months, adding one hundred and sixty five one hundred
and sixty four thousand jobs a month, while the Republican
presidents were in office for four hundred and seventy five months,
averaging just sixty one thousand jobs a month.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Those numbers are pretty right. What now I did from
two thousand? Okay, so two thousand is where I built
the metrics that I'm using because I want to live
in modern times. So Obama, Biden, Clinton second term they
(24:28):
created thirty eight point eight million jobs. Bush and Trump
created seven point nine million. Now there is a caveat
with that take away nine million jobs from the Democrats
(24:51):
because a vast majority of the jobs that Biden created
were people being rehired. Now, he added about six million jobs,
but a vast majority of the jobs that he created
were based on people being rehired. If we were to
take these numbers and move them, the GOP would have
(25:12):
created fourteen point seven million jobs and about twenty nine
point eight million for the Democrats. Okay, again, I am
giving you straight numbers. Datis facts. That's all I care about.
I don't care about anything else, all right, when we're
talking about stuff like this, this is something that to
me matters the most because what I hear from everybody
(25:34):
right or left is it's the economy, and it is
the economy that matters. What's the truth, what's real, what's not?
Speaker 20 (25:42):
Unemployment? Under Democrats, the unemployment rate tends to fall. Under Republicans,
it tends to rise. That being said, each Democratic president
since nineteen eighty inherited recession, which typically has significantly higher
rates of unemployment, which brings us to recessions. Ten of
the last eleven US recessions began under Republican presidents. The
significant ones here are the stock market crash of nineteen
(26:03):
eighty seven, a Bush Senior recession from July nineteen ninety
to March nineteen ninety one, the housing crisis under Bush
in two thousand and seven two thousand and eight, and
the COVID recession, which began on February twentieth, twenty twenty,
a full nine months before the election and eleven months
before Biden took office. So what gives Before you reach conclusions,
(26:24):
let's explore what these numbers mean and what they don't. First,
correlation doesn't equal causation. Studies say the stronger performance under
Democrats is not obviously because of more expansionary fiscal policy
or because Democrats inherited better economies.
Speaker 9 (26:38):
In fact, most inherited terrible economies.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Is that true? Yes, Now I want to you know,
we're going to look at the recessions going back to Reagan. Reagan,
all right, remember when he came in, he had a
battle going on with out of control inflation that was
out of control, and so it was a different kind
of battle because he was coming in and fighting something
(27:05):
that they were trying to do everything they could and
to go go study what back in the day they
decided to do with the interest rates where they would
shoot interest rates way up, I mean to the point
of insanity even for a couple of days. It was
crazy what they did. So a little different, but let's
just look from nineteen ninety so George HW Bush recession,
(27:31):
two thousand and one, W dot Com bust, nine to
eleven recession, W again, housing market crash, recession. And I
don't really count the pandemic even though you can in
this situation because that was a once in a lifetime
(27:53):
Every country in the world suffered something because of something
that had nothing to do with fiscal so you know,
all had to do with health. So we're continuing.
Speaker 9 (28:05):
Next.
Speaker 20 (28:05):
What this means for you if you're an everyday worker,
you might think, does it matter which party's in charge?
If the pattern holds, Yes, on average of the economy
is doing better with one party than the other. But
remember averages, hide variation and crisis years. Take for example,
under Ronald Reagan, a Republican from nineteen eighty one to
eighty nine, the unemployment rate fell from seven point five
(28:28):
percent to five point four percent during his first term,
yet he inherited a severe recession and oil shock. By contrast,
under Bill Clinton, a Democrat from nineteen ninety three to
two thousand and one. You had a long run of expansion,
job creation, and falling unemployment. So what do you take
from this as a voter, as a worker, or as
someone just watching your next paycheck? A few implications. Don't
(28:51):
buy the slogan alone. Saying you will fix the economy
is much different than actually doing it. Look for how
the candidate deals with jobs, wages, product activity, and investment,
not just tax cuts or deregulation.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
So true, so true. It is important that you look
at everything across the board. And that's why it's also
important in the states that you live in, which state
handles certain situations better than others. Again, I care about us.
Parties do their own thing, and they have their goods
(29:25):
in some areas and their bads in other areas, And
a lot of times there's a lot of gray. It
is not black and white. Nuance is important when we
talk about stuff like this, but truth matters most too.
Speaker 20 (29:37):
Pay attention to how policy interacts with the global economy, trade,
tech and energy shocks matter a lot.
Speaker 9 (29:44):
Number three.
Speaker 20 (29:45):
Look for structural trends, our wages, keeping up our new jobs,
real jobs. Are we factoring in long term debt? Inflation
and deficit risks. In other words, one party may have
better historical averages, but your personal outcome depends on which
policy they adopt, what global conditions they face, and how
resilient your community is. That means stay informed and don't
(30:08):
just rely on who I trust with the economy. Ask
how does their plan match the evidence and the track record.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
So here's the scorecard overall two thousand to twenty twenty five.
Truth matters, jobs created Democrats over Republicans, real middle class
income Democrats over Republicans. But it's not crazy because COVID
has to be factored in. Average inflation. Republicans win that one.
(30:40):
Average GDP growth, Democrats win that one. Recessions Republicans have
been in more if you will started them. Whatever. Again,
there's nuance, you know, I mean, you're sometimes you're handed something.
You go and look at Bush nine to eleven, the
dot com. He wasn't there the start of the dot
com and the boom and the bus. So there's a
(31:00):
lot of things to go into this. Nuance matters, But yes,
Republicans have oversaw more recessions and wealth distribution that top
one percent is growing at a fast clip right now.
Compared to the average person. And this is not about class, because,
quite frankly, who doesn't want to be wealthy? I work
(31:21):
my ass off, I bust my ass not to be poor,
not to be middle class, to have a great life.
But there's no doubt that we're on a path right
now where it feels like we're kind of heading towards
some dystopian like things where the haves and the have
nots are going to be so far apart, and when
you start factoring in AI, this is going to be
(31:44):
very interesting. Let me know what you think. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chamanson shows

against at Las Vegas. Do I think that he will
pass for more than two hundred and seventeen yards more
(32:29):
or less?
Speaker 9 (32:31):
I do?
Speaker 2 (32:32):
I do think he will do. I think brock Bowers
of the Raiders will have more or less than a
half a touchdown. It's more, it's less. That's how you choose,

Speaker 9 (33:20):
If you like talk.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Radio, like Chad Benson likes his meals, you've come to
the perfect place for takeout.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
When I think of America and I think of democracy,
I think about voting. That's democracy. That's what we were
built upon. The people the power, having the opportunity to choose.
But let's just say for a second, in a small,
rural northern Nevada town called Gerlak, that the General Improvement District,
(33:48):
which has four open seats, well when the votes come in,
and this was last year, that there would be a tie. Wait,
what what do we do now? Interesting?
Speaker 20 (33:59):
That was my initial recommendation was that we took ten
steps an attempt to shoot each other. But realizing that probably
wasn't going to fly, I think probably the next best
thing is a high card draw.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I'm thrilled that we could settle this in front of
God and everybody and the county commissioners.
Speaker 21 (34:14):
A sense of humor and delight might best describe the
mood in Gerlac right now, where two town leaders are
getting ready to pull cards from a deck for a
chance to keep their seat on the local governing board.
What was your initial reaction when you heard we were
going to break this election tie with a card draw?
Speaker 9 (34:30):
Delighted, return to tradition.
Speaker 16 (34:32):
That's a very Nevada way of settlingness.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
That's right, kids, high card draw. So both of them
have been serving on the council and the improvement district
thing since last year when they both tied and they
had to settle it. Who was going to fill it
for all four years going to twenty twenty eight. Now,
(34:57):
no matter who won yesterday, they were both going to
be on the council until the end of twenty twenty six.
The partial because this was a partial like special election.
So how did they choose who even went first? In
the situation of drawing the card, you flip a coin,
then you choose and the winner is Seth Schrenzel. He wins.
(35:20):
By the way. Both of them are good friends and
they thought it was hilarious. But this is the most
American and most Vegas thing you could find, even though
it's not quite Vegas high card draw when it comes
to choosing a winner in an election. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three atch you had?
Benson Show is your extra insta. Let me know what
you think right here on the Chad Benson Show. Coming
(35:42):
up more on the government shutdown. The blame game is
flying around and getting a little bit louder. I think
the noise on the right than the left when it
comes to who's to blame for the government shutdown and
what is next, we'll be looking at the airports, obviously,
which is becoming the first where the impact is really
being felt. I think. Besides SNAP nationwide, we'll also talk
(36:05):
about Tom Brady when don't have a chance to get
to it, where do you find out what he did?
Just insane? Just insane? And what happened in Oklahoma with
the case of rape, sexual assault, among other things. This
is good at pissing everybody off. I'm gonna talk about
that as wellcomissing the show. Shane, you grabbed the podcast
hour number two for to have chatman. This is the Chad.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
We are still shut down, and we're breaking records every day.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
It's a record length shut down, and with that there
are more and more consequences. We've seen a lot of
different government programs be affected by a lack of federal
funding that's lasted for over a month now, and that's
included things like SNAP and other food benefits that really
affect a lot of Americans, and also a lot of
federal workers going without.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Pay, going without pay, that includes our air traffic controllers TSA.
Why does that matter because yesterday there was a decision
to be made by Sean Duffy. Who can I just
say so far? If you would ask me to grade
Trump's big picks administration wise, Pam Bondi gets a duh,
(37:46):
We'll give her a D. Right Cash Patel, we'll give
him a D. For Pete Hegseth, We'll give him a D.
Haven't been impressed John Duffy. I've actually been pretty impressed
by him. I've been very impressed by him. I think
(38:08):
Marco Rubio, I think he gets an A for some things,
and I think the push for Venezuela and going in there,
I think he has a lot to do with that,
and we'll see again what comes of that. But I
think and he's got a lot of jobs too, So
which job are we talking about? But I think he's
been pretty solid in some areas, in some areas. Again,
I want to see what happens with Venezuela. But as
(38:28):
far as all of them, the one I've been most
impressed with, oddly enough is Secretary of Transportation Duffy. But
he had to make a decision yesterday, a decision that
is going to be potentially chaos.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
Experts say that hundreds of thousands of Americans could see
their flights canceled starting on Friday, and the Transportation Secretary
telling me today that number could grow the longer this
shutdown drags on.
Speaker 22 (38:53):
I'm tild.
Speaker 9 (38:54):
The President was made.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Aware of this unprecedented move, and we are expected to
get the full list of airports that will be impacted tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Now I've got the full list, and it's lax, it's logan.
It's a lot of what you would think are the
big airports out there, and that could change, but for
the most part, this is going to be potentially chaos
at a time of the year when it is the
most what impactful when it comes to travel, because we
(39:22):
travel more this time of year, especially at Thanksgiving, than
at any other time. And now we're getting to the
point where we're going to be closing up a large
portion of airports and taking away ten percent doesn't seem
(39:43):
like a lot. It's huge. And then you have to
start thinking about the unintended consequences of the domino starting
to fall of not you know, ten percent Friday by
Monday could be fifteen percent. You've got to look at
it in a in a way where it could be
all back to normal a week from day. God willing
(40:03):
it is, and there's still going to be some repercussions
to fallout, or it could be a disaster that, let's
be real, is self inflicted at this point between the
two parties and chaos at the busiest time of the
year for travel and at the busiest time of the
(40:26):
year for commerce, this is.
Speaker 6 (40:27):
Going to be an unimaginable, unprecedented, unwelcome, unpleasant level of chaos.
If you don't have to fly starting on Friday, please
don't stay home.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
I will thank you very much for that. Now, why
are they still out, Why are they still not talking
to each other? Mike Johnson earlier on CNBC.
Speaker 23 (40:48):
Well, my dear friend, Senator britt and others are doing
a great job over there. The Republicans are working hard
with a few handful of moderate centrist Democrats who are
left who understand the pain that's being inflicted on the
American people and they want a way out of this.
The Democrats have painted themselves into a corner Joe, as
we've discussed before, because this really was some people say
(41:10):
the Seinfeld shutdown, it's a shutdown about nothing. There was
no fight, there was no skirmish between the parties. When
we passed back on September nineteenth, the Clean Continuing Resolution.
Speaker 9 (41:20):
It was nonpartisan.
Speaker 23 (41:21):
You know, it's twenty four pages in length, bare bones,
just to keep the lights on.
Speaker 9 (41:25):
And this is an.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
Important point the whole Now is that true yes day?
And here's the way everybody works the world of Well,
let me tell you, so that clean CR had nothing
to do with healthcare. There was no healthcare in there.
The Republicans f look, clean funding bill, let's just kick
this to the curb. Then we're going to come back
and we'll start talking about add ons, policies and whatnot.
(41:48):
Then what happened, Well, the Senate, their version healthcare is
in there, and that's what this is all about at
this time right now. Okay, great, we did the original
clean CR. But now that you're trying to do a
bigger and again, this is not a budget. These are
all just band aid after band aid. Well, guess what
(42:12):
now there are no band aids big enough to cover
up what is happening. So the one that they the CR,
the original one that they passed, was just to kick
the can down the road, okay, And there was no
policy writers, just a clean CR. Right like, we're just
business as usual, that ended on the thirty first. Now
(42:37):
the Senate, their version protect ACA Obamacare subsidies is in there,
and that's where we are at this point in time.
Speaker 23 (42:48):
Reason for that is because the Republicans and the Democrats
who were appropriators got together and said, we're running out
of time to do the normal process, the regular order
of funding the government. We need about seven more weeks,
so let's just extend it to November twenty one and
we'll all get our work done. That was the agreement
they made by a partisan and buy a cameral. But
then Shack Schumber decided throw a big wrench in the
(43:10):
middle of the machine because he wanted to show a
fight against President Trump because he needs political cover against
the rising radicals in his party. I mean, that's pure
and simple what this is about. So it never really
was about any particular issue. It was about the Democrats
trying to show a fight. And now they've gotten themselves
into the longest shutdown in US history. And it's serious
business for serious people.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
And what matters for the Republicans and Democrats is who's
going to be stuck with this turd when it comes
to the blame game. Who's going to get this on
their shoe and not get it off. For everybody else,
what matters is these idiots getting back in and doing
their damn job and coming up with a solution before
(43:58):
this self inflicted ridiculuslessness spirals to a point where our
economy slows down at the busiest time of year and
we put ourselves into a self inflicted recession. Because what
do people care about? Cost? Period case closed. That's the
number one issue, always has been, always will be sure
(44:21):
there are cultural issues that matter, but nothing compared to
the day to day cost of living. Speaking of that, yesterday,
Trump and his people had their day in court when
it came to tariffs. And why this is important. It
wasn't just strictly about tariffs. Yes, tariffs were the reason
(44:44):
they were there, but I remind everybody this is about
the power of the presidency as much as anything else.
Speaker 13 (44:55):
The ore arguments, which ran almost three hours, really cut
across ideological lines. I will say the three liberal justices
were the most vigorously skeptical, openly skeptical of Trump's use
of this power, but there were a number of conservatives concerned,
including Chief Justice John Roberts, who sort of said, well,
who pays these tariffs. Aren't these tariffs attacks? It really
(45:18):
seems to be that that was the purview of Congress.
He questioned out loud several times.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Absolutely, I think in my mind listening to this, I
think if I had to put money down originally going
into a lot of people were fifty to fifty thinking, yeah,
there's a good chance. I mean, you know, it's a
fifty to fifties coin flip after yesterday. And remember asking
(45:46):
the questions in the way that they asked the questions
to the person who was defending the administration and their
move their lawyer. Asking the questions the way they did,
you can see that throughout history the Q and A
kind of gives you a sense of what they're thinking already.
(46:09):
And I would say it's about eighty plus percent chance
that they side with the plaintiffs against the government and
the tariffs.
Speaker 13 (46:18):
You had Justice Neil Gorsich, who has been a real
advocate for small business owners in a number of cases
over the years, suggest that this might be an abuse
of power. Amy Cony Barrett same thing. But there was
a turning point in the argument where a number of justices,
including Justice Barrett and especially Justice Brett Kavanaugh, seemed to
signal that they were looking for a way to potentially
(46:41):
find these tariffs legal.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
They're trying in some ways. I think it's six three,
seven to two that they side with again the plaintiffs,
if you will, in this case, because I think they
they it's not even at times so much about the tariffs, right,
(47:04):
because that's what this is about, but it's also they're
very concerned about if allowing this to happen and taking
something and saying I'm going to interpret in such a
way that is going to give the president essentially some
unchecked power, which is what they were worried about, then
why would he give it back? Where does it end?
And when's the last time that you know, somebody got
(47:26):
that power and they're like, here, take it back.
Speaker 19 (47:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
A lot of you are texting the program talking about
what I talked about last hour. We're going to get
to a little bit later. The preschool arrest yesterday in Illinois,
where I would be if I was a parent, apoplectic
in what took place.
Speaker 22 (47:47):
Parents were dropping off their kids when eyewitnesses say federal
immigration agents chased a woman who cares for infants inside
the school, then forcibly took her out. Elected officials say
the agent showed no warrant and ignored the teacher, so
when she told them she had work papers, I said
the teacher Diana Galiano entered the country illegally in twenty
twenty three and last month tried to smuggle in her children.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
We're going to talk about this coming up a little bit,
and I am fing pissed and everybody should be as well.
There are ways that you do thing. This wasn't it
ooh man, I would freaking lose my mind. And you're like,

You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (49:53):
We are learning more about the crash of the ups plane,
how close it was to causing more damage and death.
But it is a tough thing to watch because I
was talking to a couple of people yesterday, you know,
and look, we live at a time when so many
things in this world. Now we've become desensitized too, because
(50:14):
anything you want is on the Internet, and sometimes even
when you don't want to see it, it's there. And
it's a tough thing to watch because you're watching this
plane take off, it's on fire, and we're learning more
about what happened in that situation firewise, but as that's happening,
you realize those people are going to die and that
(50:36):
is a tough thing to watch. But we are finding
out more about what was likely the cause as far
as that took it down. A fire on an engine
isn't according to several My buddy who's a pilot, Keith,
he said, that's not going You can fix that really quick.
There was more to it, and we're finding out, yeah,
there was.
Speaker 16 (50:56):
The NTSB says it has found the plane's cockpit voice
recorder and the flight data recorder, the so called black boxes.
They suffered some heat damage, but the NTSB is confident
it will get good data once the boxes are analyzed
at a lab. NTSB board member Toddy Inman says it's
known the left end general the plane detached from the wing.
While the plane was rolling down the runway.
Speaker 4 (51:17):
After being cleared for takeoff, a large plume of fire
in the area of the left wing occurred.
Speaker 16 (51:24):
As a plane crashed and spread burning jet fuel. The
fire stretched almost half a mile according to the NTSB.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
And there is twelve deaths confirmed and sixteen people that
are still missing.
Speaker 24 (51:38):
We are moving from a rescue to a recovery mote.
We do not expect to find anyone else alive in
the area.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
And that area is massive. If you've not seen the
pictures from above, this is the mayor talking about just
the size in scope of what was left behind.
Speaker 25 (52:01):
The impact and intensity of the wreckage, of the charred
wreckage is unlike anything I've ever seen before and certainly
nothing that I ever want to see again.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
I don't think anybody who wants to see this again.
And then again, the questions are going to come about
things like the maintenance of this plane, because this was
the third flight it was taking that day. If you
mis see the show, we always say shame and you
make sure you had the podcast. We love hearing from
all of your radio on the Chad Benson Show. The
Boeing MD eleven was thirty four years old and was
on its third flight of the day. Had also been
(52:36):
out of service for maintenance for much of the last
month and again over the weekend. And what was the
maintenance about. Was it routine? Didn't sound that way? And
were there issues that were ignored because speed was more important,
Delivering things were more important. Those are the questions are
going to be asked. And we had a ton of calls.
I tried to get back to everybody as much as possible.
(52:57):
One of the things we were talking about yesterday though,
was Christmas decoration. When is it acceptable? I say, the
minute Halloween's over, it's go time. Hey Christmas, Christmas a
year long, they'll start decorating to elect her basically halloweens.
Speaker 16 (53:16):
But it means a.
Speaker 23 (53:18):
Lot to a lot of people and getting into the
mood and a lot of people can't stand it.
Speaker 26 (53:24):
But tell you what.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
Christmas about, Memories about warrant love, family and kids, but
most of all showing love. Thank you, I love it.

through the eyes of my kids and the excitement that
they have. I love that. That to me is just
the best thing. So I enjoy turning holidays, whether it
was Halloween last week or Christmas and everything into just

Speaker 17 (54:19):
This is the Chad Benson Show, Fun, Chad Benson Show, The.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
Breaking news, breaking news. After thirty nine years of power
and grift, which didn't start out that way, I'm sure
Nancy Pelosi is bidding everybody adio.
Speaker 27 (55:07):
For decades, I've cherished the privilege of representing our magnificent
city in the United States Congress. It seems prophetic now
that the slogan of my very first campaign in nineteen
eighty seven was a voice that will be heard.
Speaker 28 (55:23):
And it was you who made those words come true.
Speaker 2 (55:27):
It was you. It was you that made those words
come true. It was you who allowed me to be
the greatest stock trader since Warren Buffett.
Speaker 27 (55:39):
We can be proud of what we have accomplished but
there's always much more work to be done.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
Much more work to be done. The power that she
once had was massive, and again the Democrat Party, this
should be a signed for all of them that the
time to hand over the gavel is here. Mitch McConnell
(56:07):
decided to Thank goodness for that. Oh cheers, Chad. Republicans.
I'd be looking around, going, you know, if you're if
you're up for it, right, If you're John Kennedy and
you're still rocking and rolling, no problem. Bernie Sanders. I
don't have to like his politics, but I don't. I'm
not worried about whether or not he's gonna forget where
(56:28):
he is and completely out of touch, so you know.
But I think for the Democrats in particular, the everything
from the squad to Mundani and the out of touchness
in the last election has led to them. I think
(56:50):
some of them wising up, going, yeah, okay, I don't
need this anymore. I can go home and count all
my money like Scrooge McDuck. I'm very nice. Look, I'm
not going to downplay the insanity that came with her
leadership and stuff. Remember, let's pass it so we can
find out what's in it. I'm not going to downplay
(57:13):
a lot of what Nancy was about. At the same time,
thirty nine years you served our country. God bless you.
I hope you have several happy years in retirement where
again you can count your money. Speaking of privilege, this
story is about to get much bigger, and it should.
What happened in Oklahoma that is starting to get noticed
(57:41):
was a travesty of justice. I think it's the best
way to describe that. Eighteen year old Jesse Butler, who
pled no contest to several sexual assault charges, among other things,
received a seventy eight year sentence that was suspended by
(58:06):
Oklahoma because apparently they have a time machine and they
went back and decided to charge him as a youthful
offender and will now allow him to remain free while
he goes through some court ordered rehabilitation. What he did
(58:28):
to these girls was halrific seventy eight years suspended sentence.
And when he completes this, if he has no trouble
until he's nineteen, he's already eighteen, guess what happens. He
doesn't have to be on a registry.
Speaker 10 (58:49):
What tonight outrage in Oklahoma protests erupting after a high
school student accused of rape and strangulation will no longer
serve prison time.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
So turn around, frank.
Speaker 10 (59:02):
Body camera video showing authorities arresting then seventeen year old
Jesse Butler back in March, the prosecutors initially charging him
as an adult with eleven counts in connection to the
alleged violent sexual assault of two victims.
Speaker 28 (59:16):
Say sure, okay, say your prayers.
Speaker 10 (59:18):
Butler had pleaded no contest and was facing significant prison
time until prosecutors agreed to a defense request to downgrade
him from an adult to a youthful offender.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
But Chatty was seventeen when he did this. Yes, but
you could still charge an adult, and he had a
seventy eight year sentence by the way, not one, not two,
not ten rape related charges. He pled no contest to
ten of them. One of the girls he choked so
bad and tore up her throat she had to have
surgery to fix it. And well now he's got to
(59:56):
do some community service and he's got it. Lie go
to rehab thingy? Where what the f happen? Influential family one? Money?
Did the whiteness play a part of it? We consider
and talk about all these things. I don't care what
it is. I don't care what color you are. First
of all, the only thing that matters in this always,
(01:00:17):
always can color play a role? It can. Let's not pretend,
all right, you guys text me it's not true. No,
it can. But the most important color, the most important
color of all, isn't white or black. It's green. And
people in Oklahoma are pissed, and the rest of the
(01:00:37):
nation's going, wait, what the hell happened? Seventy eight years
suspended sentence went from charging him as an adult to
now going back and so now we're going to redo
it and make it so he's a youthful offender.
Speaker 29 (01:00:49):
Wait what people gathering at the Payne County Courthouse today
with signs in hand to make their voices heard, calling
for justice. This bonny Ham footage shows then seventeen year
old Jesse Butler being arrested at his home in Stillwater.
Earlier this year, he was convicted of eleven charges in total,
(01:01:10):
ten charges related to rape, including domestic assault and battery
by strangulation and rape by instrumentation, and one charge for
violating a protection order. Records show the charges stem from
incidents with two different victims. He pleaded no contest, and
what was originally a seventy eight year sentence was changed
(01:01:30):
after he was given youthful offender status. Now we're learning
he will have to do community service and attend counseling
and faces no jail time.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Don't worry though. It's one hundred hours of community service,
daily check ins and weekly sessions, and he can't go
on to social media or be out past a certain curfew,
that is until he's nineteen. Now. Even Republicans and Democrats, right,
this isn't a writer left think this is a justice thing.
(01:02:00):
They're out there, including Rep. Justin JJ Humphries of Oklahoma,
saying the ruling is unacceptable. They're going to petition for
a grand jury review. This is unacceptable. There is no
doubt about that, no doubt about that. This wasn't he said.
(01:02:21):
She said ten different rape allegations and sexual assault of
which he pled no contest to, as well as violating
a cord order to stay away. Good God, the insanity.
We should all be pissed about this. First of all,
(01:02:44):
it's a human being. What you did was violent, disgusting.
As a father of daughters, you don't need to sentence him, sir,
I got this. We're gonna be all right. Right on,
Why don't you and I hop in my truck and
we're going to go for a ride. Oh jeez, what
are they gonna say? Court? So what'd you do?
Speaker 9 (01:03:09):
Not?
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Nothing? Well, I mean I was angry, you know, I
had a moment of rage. Maybe he fell into a
wood chipper. I don't know. I mean it wasn't right.
I realized my bad. You know what, you should try
me as a youthful offender. I plead no contest and
I'll do fifty hours of community service. Oh they're gonna
(01:03:29):
put you in jail. Well maybe they would, but let
me tell you, when they find out what you did
in jail, they'll be like, Oh, I'm gonna celebrate that guy.
That guy's a good guy. We're not gonna beat him
and kill him like we thought. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show, is your
ext your insta YouTube and more so many people are
talking about this, and we're gonna get into a little
bit more next hour. What happened yesterday in Chicago And
(01:03:55):
several of you have texted the program. Some of you
are like, I can see that. I can see how
pissed you are. They shouldn't have gone in ice into
a preschool and pulled out a teacher in front of
the children. And some of you are like, good, she
deserves it. No, that's not that. Stop thinking. First of all,
(01:04:20):
you gotta look at this in two different ways. Number
One is a parent. If my three four year old
was in there, I have a seven year old. But
if let's just say Charlie was three or four and
she was there and she saw that to somebody that
she probably interacted with and seems to be that all
the kids liked. Yeah, she's going to be traumatized, and
(01:04:41):
I'm going to be absolutely pissed, as I should be.
If that lady was a threat to the children, that's
one thing. But even several of you are like, look,
I think we need to, you know, deport a lot
of people. But this the way they handled it was.
We'll talk a little bit more about that, especially next
(01:05:02):
There a lot of stuff still to get to as well,
including the thing I've been promising you, what did Tom
Brady do? Wait, do you hear this? Think dire wolves
but not to that level. Oh okay, but first ask Chapter.
You know, we talk a lot about Medicare, and we
talk a lot about all of the things going on
with healthcare for seniors out there. Many of you know,
(01:05:24):
you like your program that you got right, you get
there's my policy. I like it. Next thing, you know,
it could be gone. Oh no, what do you do now?
Call Medicare agent. Now most of them are gonna do it.
They're gonna put you in something that promptly benefits them
a little bit more, gives them a higher commission. Probably
not something you're looking for. That's why I work with
Chapter all right. They don't work for the government or
(01:05:44):
big insurance companies that work for you. Chapter compares all
Medicare plans nationwide to find the absolute best fit for you.
On average, people will good Chapter seniors say, eleven hundred
dollars a year. Here's a great thing. Doesn't cost you
any things, absolutely free, and they'll get you back all
of the policies that you're looking at that you can
(01:06:05):
compare within twenty minutes. It's awesome. So is what I
want you do? No gimmicks, no pressure, honest advice from
the experts. I trust. It's Chapter dial pound two fifty
say keyword Medicare plan. That is pound two fifty, keyword
Medicare plan, medicare too important, don't risk it. Work with
the partner I trust. That is chapter pound two fifty
say keyword Medicare plan for chapter coming up. A lot
(01:06:27):
of stuff still to get to try to squeeze it
all in. We can do a little urban word for
you because we still enjoy doing that. Do you know
what I mean? And yes, Tom Brady, what did he do?
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benson Show? Is your ex, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and more? This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
I think the scissor sounds great compared to this.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Say, there's that time of the program where we laugh
a little bit and kind of look at each other
when we hear these words and say, what the hell
are they talking about? Of course, we're talking about the
youth of America. They've got their own vernacular. The things
that they say. It sounds familiar, it sounds like English.
(01:07:23):
Something's a bit different the way they say it, where
they say it. That's why we want to make sure
we're in the know. And when we know, we let
you know, so therefore everybody knows, and that way you're
not caught off guard. You know what I'm saying. Now,
it's time for the urban word of the day. The
young have a vocabulary all their own, and we break
it down for you. It's called the urban word of
(01:07:46):
the day. Alrighty, urban word of the day. Heard this
the other day and I thought this is hilarious and
it fits this time perfectly. Recessionista. What recessionista? It's a
person who's able to stick to a tight budget while
still managing to dress stylishly. Please jed to use it
(01:08:08):
in a sentence. She was super stylish, always able to
buy a round of drinks, and still seem to be
wearing a new outfit every time you see her. She's
a recessionista. Oh, a recessionista making sure you look stylish
even in times where money is tight. Recessionista is your
urban word of the day.
Speaker 9 (01:08:29):
That was the urban word of the day, now, you know,
you do know?
Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
Speaking of knowing somebody who's not worried about the recession,
Tom Brady did something that's kind of got people going, what, Yeah,
check this out.
Speaker 30 (01:08:48):
Tom Brady's revelation that he's cloned his dog is sparking
a big debate. The NFL legend and sportscaster just announced
that his beloved dog, Lua, who died in twenty twenty three,
now has a clone named j Side by side, Brady's
original pitbull mix looks identical to his new cloned companion.
Brady was super close with Lua, even featuring her in
(01:09:09):
this commercial for ugs, but he's catching flak on social
media for cloning her. The amount of animals that could
have been rescued or given medical help with the money
he must have spent on this makes me so so sad,
goes one comment today. The animal rights group PETA is
going after Brady. Peter empathizes with Tom Brady and anyone
grieving the loss of a beloved companion animal, But the
(01:09:32):
best way to honor them is to recognize that they
aren't replaceable and to adopt.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
You know what, Tom's had some relationship issues, he's still
struggling with the retirement from the NFL, and he's got
a take of cash, and if he wants to build
himself his old dog, I don't care. I just find
it weird, right, It's not your old dog. It's not
(01:10:00):
just I mean it isn't it is? It's not the same.
Like if you could transfer not just the looks, but
the memories and all that kind of that's a different story, right,
But you didn't.
Speaker 29 (01:10:13):
You just.
Speaker 9 (01:10:15):
Xerox the dog.
Speaker 30 (01:10:19):
In twenty seventeen, Barbara Streisand took peak when she cloned
her beloved dog, Samantha. The legendary Stars two dogs, Miss
Violet and Miss Scarlett, are clones of her fluffy little
dog who died at age fourteen. It's not just little
snowballs that are being cloned. These very large and energetic
seven month old pups are all clones. Katherine Sauerbrauer is
(01:10:40):
the owner of Bossy.
Speaker 18 (01:10:42):
Kennel's Hello My Three Crazy.
Speaker 30 (01:10:44):
On social media, she posts playful videos of the three clones,
who all came from this giant dog named mister Goodbar.
Speaker 9 (01:10:50):
Did you want to clone these dogs?
Speaker 30 (01:10:52):
For their look, for their demeanor, for their aggressiveness.
Speaker 9 (01:10:55):
We don't tolerate aggression with our dogs.
Speaker 26 (01:10:57):
Mister Goodbar was a famous dog in our program that
had really elite genetics, amazing personality.
Speaker 30 (01:11:03):
She says the clones are not for sale and she'll
use them as show dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Okay, now it's the cloning compared to trying to genetically
engineer some. I mean, there's a lot that goes into this.
Speaker 29 (01:11:19):
But I.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Love our little dogs we have here. But you know,
if something was to happen to him one day and
they're still young, they got a decade plus in front
of them. I you know, I would never even think
about cloning them. I just think that's bizarre because it's
not your dog. It's something that looks like the dog
(01:11:45):
you loved.
Speaker 30 (01:11:45):
Experts warned clones may be genetically identical to your deceased pat,
but don't expect the exact same dog.
Speaker 31 (01:11:52):
Just because you're cloning your beloved Fife or Fluffy or
whatever it is, does not mean you're going to get
Fife or Fluffy back. They are their own pets, they
have their own personalities, and they don't usually even look
the exact same.
Speaker 2 (01:12:06):
Yeah, So just go out and get another dog that
looks kind of like your dog and pretend save yourself
whatever it costs. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three At Chad Benson Show, it's your exts,
your Insta, YouTube and more. We love talking to all
of you right here on the Chad Benson Show. Coming
up our number three, what took place in Illinois in
Chicago at a preschool with ICE. We're and talk about that.
(01:12:29):
I'm pissed at the way it went down, and we
should have a discussion because ICE has some issues in
the way that they're handling some of the business. And
I'm not talking about what enough. The job's hard. I'm
not talking about whether people shouldn't be deported or not.
But know this, what it took place yesterday was completely unacceptable.
We're going to talk about that as well as government shutdown.
(01:12:51):
Got a bunch of other things to get to as well.
Reach out to us across all of our social media
at Chad Benson Show that your acts, your Insta, your
YouTube and more. Will probably be live tonight around oh
I'd say seven o'clock Eastern. If you have a chance
to join us. This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Shut Down is still rolling, and somebody's shutting it down
right now.
Speaker 27 (01:13:40):
Nancy Plus, for decades, I've cherished the privilege of representing
our magnificent city in the United States Congress. It seems
prophetic now that the slogan of my very first campaign
in nineteen eighty seven was a voice that will be heard.
Speaker 28 (01:14:00):
And it was you who made those words come true.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
That's right back in eighteen eighty seven, she saw, we
need the combustible engine. Chad, what are you saying about? Nancy?
Speaker 27 (01:14:10):
I will not be seeking reelection to Congress. With a
grateful heart, I look forward to my final year of
service as you were, proud representative.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Now I'm going to say this, go enjoy your life.
Thank America and Americans on your way out for the
millions of dollars that you were able to magically trade
yourself into a vast amount of wealth. And we thank
(01:14:42):
you for your service. And know you're not getting a tip.
Speaker 27 (01:14:46):
I say to my colleagues in the House all the time,
no matter what title they had bestowed upon me, Speaker, Leader, Whip,
there has been no greater honor for me than to
stand on the House floor and say, I speak for
the people of San Francisco.
Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Well, thank you, Nancy, Thank you Nancy. Bloci, ladies and gentlemen.
She will not seek reelection after thirty nine years. She said,
you know what, I've had enough. I've had enough of this.
I'm done is that what she said? Well, it kind
(01:15:26):
of feels like that, kind of feels like she's had enough.
She thinks, you know what, I've had my phil My
coffers are overrunning, and there is nothing else I can
do with this. So we appreciate you America. God bless
you Nancy, God bless your Natly. Meanwhile, Immigration, I'm been
(01:15:54):
talking about this throughout the show. What took place in
Illinois yesterday was absolutely awful. Taking a preschool teacher out
of the classroom the way that Ice did it was
(01:16:23):
so wrong. First of all, let's just talk about all
kinds which had you hate Ice. You want everybody here
to league. No, I'm not a fool. I understand that
we need to make sure that we get as many
people that are here illegally, send him home and tell
them to come back the right way. I'm not a fool.
(01:16:46):
I'm not an idiot, But I also not an idiot.
I think we're gonna get rid of everybody, but we
need to be honest about the way that Ice is
handling some of their business. They have on more than
a few occasions overstepped, and this was one of them.
(01:17:09):
The optics of two men in fatigues one with a
face mask going into a preschool where teachers, parents and
little kids were and forcibly removing someone who was not
a threat and worked at the school is wrong. It
(01:17:31):
is The optics are not good. What have I been
telling you?
Speaker 25 (01:17:35):
Guys?
Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
A lot of people voted for this right, but once
the sausage gets made, you're like, I don't want to
watch it. I love it. I had a hamburger last night.
I don't want to see how the hamburger got to
become a hamburger. And guess what the optics Because even
(01:17:59):
people I know who are all about we need to
get rid of everybody who's here.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Illegally.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
We're like, this isn't good because you put yourself in
a situation where you're dropping your kids off at a
school and all of a sudden, I could think of
myself if Charlie was there, you know, and she's three
or four, and here's a lady that she knows, a
teacher that she knows, and somebody comes in in, not
knowing what the hell's going on, grabs this lady and
(01:18:28):
pulls her out. How would she feel? I would be apoplectic,
and everybody should be and if you're a supporter of
vice and then sho throw everybody out. Think about the optics,
because optics matter. Don't think they play no part in this.
Speaker 14 (01:18:45):
This video captured the moment ICE agents dragged a pre
K teacher out of a daycare center on Chicago's North Side.
She can be seen pleading with the agents as she's
pushed up again, still waiting sedan. At one point, she
shouts in Spanish, I have papers.
Speaker 15 (01:19:00):
ICE agents followed a teacher into the facility without a
warrant and abducted her in front of her students. This
woman is a trusted love member of her community, with
a work permit.
Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
With a work permit. Wait, wait a minute, here she's
got a work permit. Yeah, she's got to work permit,
and so why did you go in there? See? This
is it. I thought the worst first, right. I think
a lot of people out there who yes, expected eventually
(01:19:36):
the worst verse would be dealt with and then there
would be other repercussions for people out here who have
come here illegally. But going into a preschool, yeah, that
wasn't something. If she was a woman with a machete, Okay,
she was a child trafficker, and they knew that it's different.
(01:19:58):
You knew who she was obviously.
Speaker 14 (01:20:00):
Officials identified the woman as Diana Galliano, a Columbia national
in the country since twenty twenty three and seeking asylum.
Speaker 9 (01:20:07):
Children.
Speaker 14 (01:20:08):
Teachers and parents inside at the time of the arrest
said they were traumatized by what they saw.
Speaker 21 (01:20:13):
What has happened today is domestic terrorism and it is
absurd and horrific that they have now targeted our daycare centers.
Speaker 14 (01:20:24):
Until recently, sensitive areas like schools and hospitals were generally
off limits to immigration enforcement. That changed under the second
Trump administration. Today's incident the latest in a string of
controversial arrests that have been happening across Chicago as part
of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. In a statement to
CBS News, the Department of Homeland Security denied targeting the
(01:20:45):
daycare center and said Galliano sped away from ICE agents
in a car and then fled on foot into the
daycare center, where she was arrested.
Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
I don't know if that's true or not. Again, I
have no idea if that's true or not. But wouldn't
you just said, like I would have said, hey, look,
there's kids in there. Let's let's not we know where
she's at. We can wait here, all right and call
get another unit if you have to, and have somebody
(01:21:15):
there in the back, and maybe put a call into
the place and say hey, look, we're from Ice. You
know you may be thinking this is awful and horrible.
You know that's a legal question, but we've got to
do our jobs. We don't want to cause a scene
and go from there. But instead you go in there
(01:21:39):
and boom. Now does she or doesn't she have a
work from it?
Speaker 22 (01:21:43):
Elected officials say the agent showed no warrant and ignored
the teacher when she told them she had work papers.
In a statement, that Apartment of Homeland Security said officers
attempted to conduct the targeted traffic stoff, but the mail
driver and female passenger ran into a daycare and attempted
to barricade themselves inside.
Speaker 9 (01:22:00):
I said the teacher.
Speaker 22 (01:22:01):
Diana Galliano, entered the country illegally in twenty twenty three,
and last month tried to smuggle in her children. Congressman
Mike Quickley says Galliano has a work permit and legal documentation.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
Well, she's got legal documentation at a work permit now
she came here and I'm pretty much thinking applied for
asylum going through the process. They gave her a work permit.
They decided what we're going to go after her because
we don't like the fact that she's applied for asylum,
even though that it's still in the midst of it.
So at any given point in time, we could take
(01:22:35):
you to custody and kick you out of here. Now.
I don't know if she tried to smuggle her kids
in all of those side the way you handled it
was piss poor. And if you support Ice, knowing the
eyeballs of the world are on you, you don't do
ridiculous things like this. You don't and no offense. But
(01:22:58):
several times ices stuff and it turns out not to
be true. So call me a bit of a skeptic
at this moment in time. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three atch Haad Benson show Jacks,
your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook and more. By the way,
just let you guys know there is still a shutdown
going on. I don't know if you guys are aware
(01:23:20):
of that. We've got flights that are getting ready to
be canceled. Ten percent of them starting Friday, which is
going to cause chaos. I think we recognize that, and
then you start looking and going, Okay, what's next. Snap.
Apparently the USDA alerted the people and the powers to
(01:23:48):
be at the states that there will beginning more than
what they thought they were going to be able to
send out when it comes to the SNAP ben So
they thought they were only going to be able to
send everybody about thirty five percent. It looks like they
maybe closer to fifty percent. SNAP benefits a while, but
that's still going to take a while. That is still
(01:24:10):
going to take a little bit, so still closed. Don't
know when it's going to re reopened. It could be.
I mean, we were looking at Polly Market earlier and
it's been moving so yesterday on Polly Market, when it
came to the shutdown, it was to the point where
(01:24:38):
next week seemed to be where all the money was headed.
That has now jumped back to November sixteen plus, So
about fifty percent of people think it's going to be
not until November sixteenth that we're going to see this
thing open. We three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
(01:24:58):
four to twenty three. Chad Benson shows your extra insta
all of the things Birch Gold. Let me say you,
Bert Gold, why gold? Well, First of all, diversification is key.

gold back tax sheltered IRA in gold, or maybe just
having the physical if you want that, it's up to you,
but you got to get the info first. They're a

Text to the number ninety eight ninety eight ninety eight

Speaker 1 (01:26:30):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Now it's time to find out what's trending. What's trending?
Speaker 32 (01:26:39):
James Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia.
Speaker 26 (01:26:51):
Sir.
Speaker 2 (01:26:59):
What Let's find out what's trending on the inter weeks
on this Thursday. Is my song for you guys today,
You're welcome. We'll start with X, which is going to
give it to you. From what I understand, I heard
that X gonna give it to you New York, Mondanie, Texas, Virginia, Cheney.
Speaker 9 (01:27:29):
Godzilla, I love Godzilla.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
I think they just came out with the new teaser
for the next Godzilla movie. Cuomo, Maga, Floridia, Jay Jones, Socialism.
All things trending in the magical world of X over
to Google. So therem more trending search in the last
(01:27:55):
twenty four hours on Google is Bruga and Batheloda Champions League, Starbucks,
bear Reesta Cup because the holiday cups are here. Everybody,
The Holiday cups are here. American Airlines, FAA, Man's City
versus Dornton, soccer, Supreme Court, tariffs, all of those things
(01:28:20):
are trending up and down in the magical world of
UH and then finally over to Yeah, I just like
how different it is when you talk about one's very
political and the other one is very all over the place.
And Yahoo's got a little bit of everything. Zora Mandanni,
(01:28:44):
Megan Markle Philibuster, Phillies, Donald Trump, and Milania, Jennifer Lawrence,
Sabrina Carpenter, but lady was sentenced to prison. Three two three, five,
three four three At Chad Benson Shows Your Ex, your Insta, Facebook,
(01:29:04):
YouTube and more famising the show Sharium Grab the podcast
helps us out right in The Chad Benson Show. And
the Big Short investor Michael Berry is also trending because
he seems to be betting against AI. Those are the
things trending worldwide over the last twenty four hours. And
the FAA that is a big deal. Secretary Duffy coming
(01:29:30):
out and saying, Hey, with all that's going on, we're
going to have to make a decision when it comes
to travel, and this is what he's doing.
Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
In an unprecedented move, President Trump's Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy
announcing the FAA will cut flight capacity by ten percent,
which experts say means thousands of flights will be canceled
across forty major airports by the weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:29:53):
It's going to lead to more cancelations that we're going
to work with the airlines to do this in a
systematic way.
Speaker 9 (01:30:00):
Across the country.
Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Air traffic controller shortages have already caused massive delays and
cancelations as workers go without pay and call out sick.
Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
There's a reason for that. They're struggling, they're broke af
and they don't see anything getting fixed anytime soon.
Speaker 4 (01:30:17):
What we're finding is that our air traffic controllers, because
of the financial pressures at home, are taking side jobs.
Speaker 33 (01:30:24):
They need to put food on the table, gas in
the car, pay their bills. Yeah they do. And I
want everybody to think about this for a second. Imagine
a week from today as we get ready to head
into Thanksgiving. Even if they get things up and running,
it is still going to be a nightmare. And if
we go to Thanksgiving without the government shutdown being sorted out.
Speaker 2 (01:30:46):
What a nightmare that is going to be if you're
missing the show, shamany grad the podcast coming up, a
lot of good stuff. Don't go anywhere, Chad, that's the job.
Speaker 17 (01:31:01):
Then Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:31:22):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
The shutdown still shutting things down, which is frustrating a
lot of people. When I don't know soon maybe could
be a couple of weeks. What happens if it goes
into I don't know, next week or god forbid, Thanksgiving week?
What would that even look like?
Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
At Dulas International Airport, FAA radar technician and union rep.
Cleebans and Schmidt says, the strain has reached a breaking point.
So you were already shortstackt correct and how much worse
has this shutdown made it?
Speaker 9 (01:31:56):
It's exponentially made it worse.
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
Source of say the FAA will start cutting four percent
of flights starting tomorrow and ramp up throughout the weekend.
The CEO of Frontier Airlines now encouraging passengers to buy
backup tickets on separate airlines if you're flying in the
next ten days. Experts warning of massive headaches for travelers.
Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
Yeah, we're trying to figure out because our daughter's supposed
to go back to Arizona here in the next week
or so, and my wife's like, I may have to
take her home if this thing gets worse. Forty airports
are going to be affected starting tomorrow, but think about it,
four percent effect, then it's going to move up to seven,
(01:32:40):
then ten percent, and by middle of next week could
we see a quarter of flights. I don't know. Again,
I don't know. What I do know is at least
in the next couple days, barring a surprise, and I
hope I'm wrong. I don't think they're going to be
doing any kind of negotiation to get this thing back
(01:33:02):
on track.
Speaker 7 (01:33:03):
It's a record length shut down, and with that there
are more and more consequences. We've seen a lot of
different government programs be affected by a lack of federal
funding that's lasted for over a month now, and that's
included things like snap and other food benefits that really
affect a lot of Americans, and also a lot of
federal workers going without pay.
Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
And that includes TSA, but also air traffic control and
you know Duffy, who I think is doing a pretty
good job as a Transportation Secretary talked about it earlier
that I think he may be the best of the
hires that I've seen so far in the administration. He said, look,
my air traffic controllers, some of them are working another job.
(01:33:45):
They can't and I can't blame him, right, I think
you could. Look, he is frustrated as much as anybody else.
But this isn't about and I continue to say, this
is not about the people. This is about politics and
who gets to blame.
Speaker 12 (01:33:59):
We are in the midst of a disastrous Democrat created
government shutdown, and it is Democrat created.
Speaker 11 (01:34:05):
But I don't think they're getting really the blame that
they should.
Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
Okay, so what do you suggest, mister President. Well, he
wants to do something that I continue to say, no, no, no.
Speaker 11 (01:34:22):
Its cyber Republicans to do what they have to do,
and that terminate the philibuster.
Speaker 6 (01:34:26):
It's the only way you can do.
Speaker 12 (01:34:28):
And if you don't terminate the filibuster, you be in
bedshap We won't pass any legislation. We should start tonight
with the country's open congratulations. Then we should pass voter ID,
we should pass no mail in voting, We should pass
all the things that we wanted to pass and make
our elections secure.
Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
And say so he wants to do a with filibuster,
do the nuclear option, where more and more Republicans seem
to have found their cajones, not all of them, but
more and more are coming forward and say, yeah, that's
not going to happen. And the reason is, I mean,
there's so many reasons. He's his thing is we're going
(01:35:07):
to do it because if we don't, they will. If
we don't do it, they will. And the reason that
he thinks that is because they tried to do it
before and Mansion and Cinema stopped him. And I do
think that there are some Democrats out there that would
take the same path if they tried to do it.
(01:35:29):
I'm not saying that they won't, but that's not what
our founding fathers wanted. Our founding fathers looked at Congress
and Senate two completely different things. Congress, as we've talked about, right,
they get on the trends, they're more easily swayed, they've
got a shorter time period, they're always in re election mode.
(01:35:50):
The Senate is more deliberate, smaller, you can take out
public passion and the trends in decision making. It was
meant to slow things down. Now it's not in the Constitution,
but they designed conditions for it. It's about checks and balances,
(01:36:15):
so one party doesn't run over the other party. Okay,
it lets the minority party slow everything down. Okay, Because
if we're going to just get to the point where
we decide that nuclear option is it and we're gonna
go with a simple majority, what you're gonna find is
the extremes will dominate. So Trump will go and he
(01:36:38):
will put everything into play that he wants to and
hopes to probably try to secure something where it makes
it impossible for the minority power to get into power again.
But we all know that's not who we are as
a nation. And with most of America now looking at
themselves as independents, I think that would be a rash
(01:36:59):
thing to do. So what would happen if they do
this and then they end up losing, Well, all of
a sudden, you're not in power. And when you're not
in power, the left comes in and they said, Puerto Rico, DC,
welcome to statehood. There's four sentence seats. Which way you
(01:37:22):
think they're gonna go? Yeah? Yeah, oh, and by the
way medicare for all, and you see where we're going
with this, the Green New Deal, and then everybody's gonna
get pissed. And then what happens, Well, then the Democrats
lose their position, the Republicans come in, and then it
(01:37:42):
swings back the other way. We can't have this. We
have to have a situation where we have the balance
and the check in place, because otherwise it'll go from
slow and deliberate to fast and extreme and eventually it's
(01:38:09):
going to be a nightmare. Let me know what you
think three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three. Atch you had mentioned show is your ex
your insta. You think that maybe Trump is not understanding really,
I mean, I get it, he's thinking about himself in
the next few years. He's not thinking past that. But
if you're a Republican, you see what happens. The reason
that you have your picks in the Supreme Court Trump
(01:38:32):
is because of the nuclear option that Harry Reid did
and as they have more than a few times have mentioned,
they've rude the day since that happened. So yeah, I
think absolutely that would be a nightmare. Speaking of the Supreme.
Speaker 13 (01:38:46):
Court, the or arguments, which ran almost three hours, really
cut across ideological lines. I will say the three liberal
justices were the most vigorously skeptical, openly skeptical of Trump's
use of this power, but there were a number of
conservatives concerned, including Chief Justice John Roberts, who sort of said, well,
who pays these tariffs? Aren't these tariffs attacks? It really
(01:39:09):
seems to be that that was the purview of Congress.
He questioned out loud several times.
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
He did, right now, if you were to ask me
about the tariffs, because they asked a lot of questions.
I listened to about ninety minutes maybe two hours of
it as much as I possibly could, because I had
other shows and things I had to do, and I
find it fascinating and the argument. I felt bad for
the guy, so the guy arguing it, because they they
would ask him questions, which you know, he's like, yeah,
(01:39:38):
well but what about this? And they're all trying to
look for that way in And I thought up until
yesterday it was probably a fifty to fifty, maybe leaned
a little bit more towards them upholding the lower courts
and saying Trump doesn't have this power. But after yesterday,
like it's eighty twenty. I think Gorsic, I think Amy Cony,
(01:39:59):
Barrett and Chief Justice Roberts probably sided with the three liberals.
Gorsicic is worried about the power and Trump having that
kind of power and then thinking that he's going to
or anybody would give it up.
Speaker 13 (01:40:13):
You had Justice Neil Gorsich, who has been a real
advocate for small business owners in a number of cases
over the years, suggests that this might be an abuse
of power. Amy Cony Barrett same thing. But there was
a turning point in the argument where a number of justices,
including Justice Barrett and especially Justice Brett Kavanaugh, seemed to
signal that they were looking for a way to potentially
(01:40:35):
find these tariffs legal.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
Well, I think, like I said, if I had to
put money down today, I think the ruling is going
to be six three five four in favor of the plaintiff.
Because this isn't just about tariffs. This is also about
the power structure and Congress. And everybody's like, well, they
(01:41:01):
got rid of tariffs, they don't have to get rid
of tariffs. He could go to Congress and then they
can do something. But as we all know, Congress loves
the fact that and it's not just Trump that president's
ruled by the pen because it gets them off the
hook from really having to do anything or put their
(01:41:22):
name down. You know, the receipt doesn't have my name
on it.
Speaker 9 (01:41:28):
Oh.
Speaker 13 (01:41:29):
The question is when we find out the Supreme Court
expedited this case. It's not clear how quickly they'll rule
on it. We will expect to see a decision early
next year, probably before the end of the Court's term
in June.
Speaker 2 (01:41:42):
So I would assume March April when they release them.
So they release them in March or April, and then
they'll release them again in the summer when they have
the other hearings they take up. So I'm a second.
I could be wrong. I mean, they could expect any
of they could, they could release a certain ruling. So
(01:42:03):
I just yeah, I feel like this is this is
going to rule for me. I look at it for
free market and the people. And it's interesting the conversations
I get from a lot of people. They're like, well,
that's because you hate Trump. I don't hate Trump. Well,
then these are a good thing. Why are they good thing?
Because it's going to force manufactured Manufacturing's never coming back.
(01:42:25):
Why do you think that's coming back? Well because Trump, No,
it's not. Manufacturing's not coming back for several reasons the
way you think now, I'm not saying all manufacturers not
come back, No, some may, But what do you think
they're going to be manned with a bunch of people?
Are union workers or robots? And the other thing is
(01:42:50):
if Trump puts this on as he has done, using
the Emergency Act of seventy seven, claiming that it was
you know, for several different reasons, we've been taking advantage
of it's what was the other thing he said? National security?
And one thing that's also got them questioning his power
(01:43:12):
in this situation is he continues to say revenue. Well
in the Act that he is quoting, and they're using
revenue is not a part of it. So that's also
an issue. But the reason of manufacturing not coming back
is because we became a consumernation. Our dollar was always
(01:43:36):
strong and stable. We like to consume some of it.
It's just cheaper and better to do it elsewhere because
we're going to always look for when you have a
free market, we're going to look for, in most cases,
a cheaper widget. So it's not coming back. We have
(01:43:56):
exported services, imported cheap goods. That's what we've decided to do.
So we're not going to set up a manufacturing plant
to produce T shirts here because it's just not worth it,
(01:44:16):
or socks or something. It's just not worth it. And
you're not going to build a giant manufacturing plant for
more intricate things, knowing full well, by the time you
actually get it up right, build it, after all the
permits and the planning and all of the things, and
you get everything ready to go, there could be a
new sheriff in town, and that president may say we're
(01:44:39):
getting rid of all of these tariffs, and all of
a sudden, you've invested millions or billions of dollars in
something that isn't guaranteed to be tariff to the point
where it makes sense to produce it here. Because now
people are just going to go, oh, you're gonna charge
(01:45:00):
me one hundred bucks for this. They're gonna charge me
thirty five. It's almost the same thing. Why would I
pay I could buy almost three for the one you're
gonna charge me. So that's another reason why three two

record includes passage of the Affordable Care Act, the Dodd
Frank financial reforms, and the repeal of the ban on
gays in the military. Pelosi left her role as leader

twenty years ago, nobody sees that. It's a blip in
