Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
My old boss used to say this all the time.
Don't bring me a problem, bring me a solution, And
we see this in modern politics. It drives me crazy.
Everybody wants to know what the problem is and who's
to blame for it. You know what, Nobody really wants
to be a part of the solution does no matter
what it is, right and normally in the private sector,
(00:35):
and this is what's weird. So in the private sector,
if you want to know how to get wealthy, you
want to get rich, you want to know how to
be the success. Find a problem, fix it. In politics
it's the opposite. Find a problem, make sure the problem
doesn't go anywhere, and then run with it. Doesn't matter
what it is. Immigration, a natural disaster, right, there's that,
(00:59):
and the flooding in Texas. Make sure that you can
run with this and see how you can take a
horrible situation and not profit off of it in the
way that we would think, but build up political profits
so you can blame people for something. It's enraging. Sometimes
(01:22):
there's absolutely a problem, and the solution is to get
rid of said problem, person, thing, whatever it is. Sometimes
things happen and no matter how hard you try, you're
not going to really be able to get rid of it.
You go work around it, you could put some fix
on it, but you're not going to fix it the
way that we would like something fixed, and that's frustrating.
(01:47):
It is immigration. We all know that they're never gonna
let that go. That's a great thing that we got immigration.
It's right where we wanted. It's not going anywhere to debate.
It's Oh, it's great flooding in Texas. We could kind
of maybe sort of blame a little bit on the
climate changement not so much, but we can't blame it
(02:07):
on Trump. But what Yeah, this of course on the
heels of all the disaster that took place, the death
and the nightmare that is still going on for the
people they're dealing with it, and then more rains coming in,
did FEMA do something well, it's very interesting to hear
about this because the maps that FEMA supposedly redrew took
(02:31):
Camp Mystic out of it in the flood zone, and
somehow that's Trump's fault.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Concerns rising over an AP report that says FEMA approved
appeals from Camp Mystic to remove some buildings from the
flood map, which could have allowed the camp to bypass
certain flood regulations. FEMA amended the county's flood map in
twenty thirteen to remove fifteen of the camp's buildings from
(02:58):
the hazard area, and fifteen more were removed in twenty
nineteen and twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So why why is that so going back to twenty thirteen,
two years before it came down the escalator, YEP, didn't matter.
And that's the frustration with all of this. People are dead,
young people whose lives were snuffed out. People trying to
save young people, young people who were living their best
(03:28):
little lives gone, and everybody's trying to make points and
it is frustrating that to all. My wife I said,
I can't hear it anymore. Trust me, crazy, nobody's serious
about getting anything done. This was not what our founding
fathers were looking forward to when they told us we
could govern ourselves. At no point thing are Yeah. Remember,
(03:50):
there's gonna be people on the Internet that are gonna
be loud. There's gonna be a conspiracy theorists. They're gonna
be loud. There's gonna be a bunch of people out
there who are going to try to hide things that
conspira thereis maybe right about and oh, by the way,
there's going to be lobbyist. Don't bring me a problem,
bring me a solution. And I watched Trump and Milania
(04:16):
on Friday, and I thought to myself, you know they're
there doing what you're supposed to do as the president.
You show up, not on the day of or a
few days afterwards. You give it time to settle and breathe,
if you will, so they can conduct the business they
need to conduct on the ground. Then you show up.
And I thought they did a fine job. But everybody
(04:40):
wants somebody to blame. How about we do everything we
can to recover everybody. We do everything we can to
make sure that the people that have lost everything, including
their loved ones, are made as whole as you possibly can,
which is hard to do. Before you get to the
point where you start going it was their fault, it
was this fault, it was that fault. But we don't
(05:03):
because we want to know what fault it is and
whose fault it is, because we care more about the
tribe than we do the actual reality of a situation,
which is a shame three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson Show is your
ex and your Insta. I love hearing from every single
one of you. Tom Holman this weekend. Everywhere talking about
(05:25):
illegal emigration.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Comprogration Force has always been emotional, It's always been controversial.
I've been done since nineteen eighty four. I get it,
and I understand why people want to come to the
greatest nation on Earth. I get it. But we can
send the message for the whole world it's okay to
enter this countryly. You don't worry about it, even it's
a crime, come and enter illegally, and when you get
(05:49):
order removal from a judge, you don't have to leave.
You can become confusitive and we'll never look for it.
We got to send a message the whole world. There
are consequence of breaking laws, and I think that's why
one reason we have a more secure board in history
of this nation today. It's just not because we've got
boots on the ground on the border, not because we're
end the Catcher Lease. A lot of its consequences. You're
(06:09):
watching what's happening, we're enforcing the immigration law. I think
that consequence has a lot to do with having the
most secure border in history of this nation.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Absolutely, And I think that's very much true. Old Sheriff,
New Sheriff. Old Sheriff will let you in here all day,
do whatever you want. New Sheriff is like, Nope, not
going to happen. Isn't going to happen. If you try
to come in, We're gonna turn you around and put
you back on the other side. And it is a
(06:38):
very emotional thing. And we've seen a lot of those
emotions play out over the last several months, in particularly
over the last two and a half three months in
a major way. And do I have trouble with the
way that some of this stuff is going down?
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
I think all of us should. I think we all
should have some trouble in the way that some of
this going down the ice rates. Do I have issues
with the raids themselves, Not so much, Not so much.
Do I have issues at times with my buddy and
I were talking about this on Friday of the mass Yeah,
(07:17):
in some cases I do. But I have a lot
more issues with the way that the clashes have gone,
where people have shown up out of nowhere and feel
free to also wear masks and to try to attack
and or destroy vehicles and whatnot. When it comes to
the ice rates, I have a very big problem with
the fact that last week, during the raids of the
(07:39):
minor Willino farms, that there were kids there, and that
the Left was more concerned about the way that ICE
handled itself than the fact that there were kids working
at a marijuana farm, and they didn't seem to care
so much about that unaccompanied miners working at a pot farm,
(08:01):
and somehow ice is bad. ICE has been around for
twenty two years. Okay, they're not new. This wasn't something
that Trump created. Happened after nine to eleven, which we
can get onto a whole bunch of stuff that happened
after nine to eleven that pisses us all off. But
they've been in place since two thousand and three, Since
(08:26):
two thousand and three, Enforcement Rooval Operations, ro O HSI,
Home Security Investigations o i A, which is the legal
side of it, which is the office of the Principal
Legal Advisor. Before that is was around and they served
(08:48):
under the DOJA. So none of this stuff is new,
and raids have gone on since two thousand and three.
People don't like what's happening. I remind everybody we live
in a world where unfortunately extremes rule, and we have
the rubber band effect. We snap in one direction and
then it gets pulled back and it snaps in the
(09:09):
other case. In point immigration, the views on immigration have
changed her dramatically. People were not thrilled by mass illegal immigration,
but now eight and ten Americans say immigration is a
good thing for the country. That's an increase from sixty
four percent a year ago, a high point of nearly
(09:31):
twenty five years. Only two and ten say immigration is
a bad thing right now, now, that's immigration. Illegal immigration
is something completely different, and that's what we're talking about,
separating the two. And we always like to give you
guys the real skinny on the program. Illegal immigration is
(09:57):
two forms. One you've come here, you've you overstayed your visa.
That's illegal immigration. But that is a civil offense. Crossing
the border illegally is a criminal offense. So those are
two separate things. Everybody always wants to only give us
(10:18):
side of the story. But for the most part, we're
talking with people that have crossed the border illegally. So
the percentage of people who say immigration is a good thing. Obviously,
Democrats ninety one percent, Republicans sixty four percent, and across
the board seventy nine percent, because independents are up there.
(10:41):
And it's what we're seeing is the change in the
way that people feel about immigration, is the fact that
they're seeing the sausage made, the hot talk made. They
don't like that. They don't want to see the raids.
People's thought is, we only want the bad people taken
out and then let's figure out what we could do
with the rest, because that's kind of where we thought
you were going with this. But that doesn't seem to
be the case. So it makes us feel uncomfortable watching it,
(11:07):
and we don't want to see that. We don't want
to see the person down the street that you know
is your little grandmother in handcuffs. We don't want to
see that. Because if there wasn't cameras and you only
read about it in the paper, you would feel way different.
It's the seeing it made, seeing it happen that is
(11:29):
changing a lot of people's hearts and minds. And that's understandable.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Ukraine, Russia. The battle is raging on and it's getting
uglier faster because the pooter just doesn't care. Trump going
to do something that a lot of people thought, well,
he's not gonna do. He's not gonna give them anything, not.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
So fast, President Trump overnight Total Reporters He's going to
send Ukraine sophisticated military weapons. Trump says the weapons will
include Patriot missiles, but refuse to go into greater detail
about what other weaponry would be provided. He also said
the European Union would reimburse the United States for the
cost of the weapons. And we know that a full
announcement on the weapons is expected when Trump meets with
(13:49):
the head of NATO in Washington early this week.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
This isn't going the way I think a lot of
people thought it was going to go. I think a
lot of people thought Trump was gonna get this thing done.
He's at day one, hyperbollock right there. But I don't
see it coming to an end anytime soon. Talked about
it on Friday Tomorrow, We're gonna have our military analyst on,
Michael Lyon to talk about where this could be headed next.
But there's no doubt this is not going the way
(14:14):
that a lot of people thought it was going to go.
And he's pissed. He feels like, Okay, you know what,
I'm willing to give you more of an opportunity here
to take some land that maybe isn't yours in this situation,
and you still don't want It's not good enough. You
now are going to do all you possibly can to
(14:34):
push forward with this pooter. And so besides the weapons,
what else can he do? Sanctions? He's going to be
announcing factions from rock up tomorrow. We're gonna see what
we will see tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
Okay, and we have the Secretary General. As you know,
Europe is announced sanctions. But I am very disappointed with
President Putin. I thought he was somebody that meant what
he said, and so beautifully, and then I'll bomb people
at night. We don't like that. Thank everybody, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Consistency of Trump though and not liking war. I love that.
I wasn't a thrilled by what took place with Iran.
Is what it is. But at some point in time,
you know, the negotiation side of stuff, You see it,
you've tried, it's not working. And the question now becomes, Okay,
this guy, obviously I thought he was going to operate
(15:29):
in some good faith. He's not going to. Not a shocker,
and so now what And the sanctions have to be
much harder than what they've been three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chat Benson
shows your ex and your Insta right here on the
Chat Benson Show. There's so many ways for countries to
(15:53):
get around sanctions by middle men, countries going out and
purchasing what you need and for a fee, they'll sell
it to you, you know, basically at cost. Meanwhile, while
Trump talks about trying to stop some wars, there's always
a question about Rosie o'donald, the Romeo.
Speaker 8 (16:15):
O'donald, even on Chris Plomos No recently he blamed you
for the.
Speaker 9 (16:19):
Batman being overweight, to fresh and trunk.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
What do you say to that?
Speaker 10 (16:22):
Do you think pediac is going to ever get yet?
Speaker 11 (16:24):
In five?
Speaker 2 (16:25):
I don't know about roth.
Speaker 9 (16:27):
I watched Rosie. Rosie's a mess.
Speaker 7 (16:30):
She's a mess about She left our country, which is
a good thing, not a bad thing.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Does anybody else find it bizarre that they would ask
questions to the President the United States, who's trying to
end wars. Got a lot of stuff going on, and
you want to talk about a person who I can't
remember the last time she did anything outside of go
on to the interwebs and complain about Trump to try
(16:57):
to blame Trump for being overweight and alcoholic? Is that?
Is that what they said? She blames you for her
drinking and her eating and all of the things. That's insane.
But why are you asking the question? I don't care
what Rose o'donald thinks. That's all you have to say.
And then I saw that like we're looking into whether
(17:17):
or not we're gonna take away her citizenship. A that's
ridiculous to even think about having any part of roso
o'donald in a conversation. And b you're not doing that
because you're not taking away her citizenship. Whether you like
her or not, it doesn't match three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show,
to your Action, your Instate. It is a Chad.
Speaker 12 (17:38):

Speaker 1 (18:01):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
It's not going anywhere. No matter how much Trump wants,
hopes and prays it goes somewhere fast. The Epstein thing
isn't going anywhere. And I remind everybody, and I've said
this and I'll continue to say this. This at this
point in time is not about Epstein. This is not
about the victims. It's not about any of that stuff.
(18:25):
Not that people don't care. This is about the administration
and whether or not they have become the things that
they quote unquote wanted to fight against. The deep state?
Oh are they Are they part of that? Have they
become part of the swamp? Are they now part of
(18:46):
the establishment that they just move one establishment out for
another establishment? Oh? Interesting?
Speaker 13 (18:55):
President Trump attending the FIFA Club World Cup Final in
New Jersey with the Attorney General Pam Bondi in a
show of support amid growing backlash after the Justice Department
said there was no additional evidence to reveal in the
Jeffrey Epstein case. Many and Trump's base are angry with
the DJ's report and are accusing Bondi of taking part
in a cover up.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Bondi is again, I think she's useless. I thought she
would be better, she asked.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
Man.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
She's been pretty useless. I thought she would be better.
But she's going to be the one, and it's not
going anywhere. By the way. People keep thinking, well, this
will die down. A younger generation he saw this weekend
with the turning Point stuff, a younger generation of in
particular men, but voters. This is important to them. And
(19:46):
while yes, the Epstein side of stuff and what took
place was awful, we don't have to relitigate that. This
is about the fact that they feel like, oh, you've
lied to us. Now you want us to take us
serious about this. Oh you've lied to us, now you
want us to believe this. No, we don't believe you
(20:07):
because you said you were going to be transparent, you
said you were going to be all of the things,
and instead you lied to us. And we want no
part of whatever else you're saying is until you tell
us the truth about this. We don't care. You could
sit here and talk about this and go me and
all this stuff. You have to come clean here on
(20:30):
this first or.
Speaker 9 (20:31):
Else are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein. We have Texas,
we have this, we have all of the.
Speaker 14 (20:36):
Things, and people saw something about this guy that's great.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
So we're stupid.
Speaker 14 (20:41):
Yeah, we're We're the idiots guys.
Speaker 15 (20:43):
That is.
Speaker 16 (20:44):
I think what is enraging people right now is it's
insulting our intelligence. Like obviously the intelligence community is trying
to cover it up. Obviously Trump administration is trying to
cover up something changed because they ran on.
Speaker 14 (20:56):
This idea of exposing it.
Speaker 17 (20:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (20:58):
Yeah, all these guys had great idea is cock eye cash.
He was ready to tear it all down. He was
ready to tear down the entire FBI.
Speaker 9 (21:06):
All shut down the Hoover building day one.
Speaker 14 (21:09):
Day one.
Speaker 16 (21:09):
Then still stand and then he goes on Jill Rogan
and he's like, listen, do you think if I had it,
I wouldn't share it with you?
Speaker 14 (21:15):
I do, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 16 (21:17):
I do believe that, especially when you're staring at me
like this, tell me, Once you protect.
Speaker 14 (21:23):
Pedophiles, you are the most cauc eye person.
Speaker 9 (21:25):
So one or two things in my mind? Is it possible?
One you're covering it.
Speaker 18 (21:29):
Up, or two nothing really happened and you exploited the
thousands of children to get your man elected.
Speaker 9 (21:35):
So which one do you want here?
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Ooh, it's right. That is flagrant one with Andrew Schultz
and the guys last week, that's spot on. What is it?
Either you took something, you ran with it, you exploited it,
you made millions on it, you built a political tsunami
for yourself to ride that wave into the administration, and
(22:00):
now when push came to shove, there was nothing really
there or or the other side of it is you're
covering up something. You're covering it up. Now on Friday
we hear bon Gino's ready to step away. I don't
know how real that is. I'll be honest with you.
Dan says a lot of things, and you know, but
if your thought is I feel like there's a cover up.
(22:28):
My name is on the line, my reputation is on
the line, and you feel there's a cover up because
you've seen it and you understand there's a cover up,
then you step away. Then you go I'm done, I'm out.
I can't do this. You are the thing that you
said you weren't gonna be. You were coming in to
cut a new path, and you didn't.
Speaker 19 (22:51):
This is the deputy director of the FBI, in charge
of marshaling resources if there were to be any crisis
in the country and he didn't show up to work.
He wasn't there on Friday. He told people he was
taking the day off, but nobody could get a hold
of them. DOJ officials were telling us that Bongino essentially
wasn't reachable. We still haven't heard from him.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
No. Now Trump is doing everything you can to talk
about Hey, you know, Bondy, this don't worry my boys
and girls. They're fighting and they shouldn't be. We're all
about Maga, et cetera. You're trying to move on from
something that people don't want to move on from and
take away the Epstein issue. This is about you telling
(23:33):
America for years all of these problems were because of this.
All of this group here is because of that. There's
a bunch of bad people involved. It's this deep state.
It's all these kind of things and oh, by the way,
nothing to see here. Now they don't buy it.
Speaker 20 (23:48):
I mean the Attorney General, Pam Bondi went to the
public and said all kinds of things about this.
Speaker 14 (23:55):
She said there was a list, there was.
Speaker 20 (23:57):
Files, they had people, and that was in front of
the White House, in front of the West Wing, that
they have the influencers out there. So, I mean, there's
a very legitimate question here. Number one, was she lying
then or is she lying now? She's the attorney general.
I do think she should go in front of Congress
and or just explain the facts here, because ultimately it
(24:19):
is a big question. Was she just prancing around making
things up? You're not really supposed to do that as
the attorney general.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, you're not. But for the supporters of Trump, this
is about something bigger. Did you use a horrible situation
to push a narrative and then when push came to
shove you didn't release something because it wasn't there and
you kind of knew there wasn't there all along, but
(24:47):
you continued to push this and that helped you? Or
is there way more to it? That is something that
isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon, and I think
it will have ramify locations. How much ramification will it
really depends depends on what happens from here. I mean, obviously,
still the number one thing is the economy, and where
(25:11):
the economy goes, and where that's gonna go, we'll find out.
And the economy is a long play, and there's gonna
be ebbs and flows in the coming you know, months,
and the next year and a half. So if the
economy's rocking, you're still gonna be doing okay. But if
the economy is struggling, if people still can't afford a house,
(25:35):
young people in particular, take a look at that. If
the people feel like you were told you were gonna
bring down inflation, you're gonna told you do all of
these things, and that hasn't happened. What ends up happening
is those things coupled with all of the other stuff,
the transparency you promised us, Oh you're gonna deport everybody
(25:57):
all all of a sudden, those little things become big things,
and the cracks become crevices, which become canyons. So the
economy will still lead the way in this, but the
reality is every one of these things will start to
(26:20):
pile on top of each other if things start to
go sideways. Economy will always be number one. When you're
looking towards midterms, you're looking towards those kind of things
that that's what the Republicans are focusing on, It's what
the Democrats are focusing on. The Fact is, if things
are going well with the economy, all these other things
(26:42):
will be somewhat forgiven. If they're not going well with
the economy, all of these things will start to add
on top of one each other, and one of each other,
and one of each other, and eventually that is the
straw that breaks the camels back. Three two, three, five,

it was on the back of band Aid, So band
Aid was and we do it every year Christmas. Do
they know it's Christmas? That whole song and the controversy
around it, et cetera. You know it's Christmas time and
done for the right. Irish singer Bob Geldoff was home
(29:04):
because his band, the boomtown Rats weren't the hottest thing
in music at the time, and he said, I'm home
sitting around doing nothing. Early in the evening when a
report comes on for the BBC and he sees report
and he's just eaten up by the famine and the
destruction and the death going on in Ethiopia. So he
decides to do something and they produced this, you know,
(29:26):
band Aid song, and then we did a song, if
you guys remember that. So band Aid comes out with
their song, and then USA for Africa comes out with theirs,
and then they decide to do a concert and it's
called Live Aid and it's massive, it's huge. It's a
cultural experience.
Speaker 10 (29:45):
With performances by the likes of Queen, David Bowie, mc
jagger and Tina Turner. Live Aid made headlines with headliners
the show that spans six teen hours and in ocean
stages at Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.
(30:09):
World Phil Collins actually performed at both. They called it
the Global Jukebox, but it didn't collect coins. It raised millions,
more than one hundred million dollars, a history making benefit
organized by an Irish singer named Bob Geldoff motivated to
(30:29):
fight famine in Ethiopia.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
And again done for the right reasons. And the amount
of bands that played there and stuff was tremendous, And
we'll talk a little bit more about that, including Queen
and their impact on music from that giving moment, and
if you've seen the movie understand a lot of what
(30:55):
that culminated with that big oomph of them getting on
stage at that time. But it was huge, and I
remember sitting around watching it and I was just Wow,
this is incredible. Can I got to see all these
bands that you don't see because we didn't have the YouTube,
We didn't have any we had MTV and seeing these
people in concert was rare at best, let alone seeing
(31:15):
them in this kind of atmosphere all day long.
Speaker 22 (31:19):
Give me a dollar, and I swear to you, I
swear to you that that one dollar will translate into
direct food into some OF's mouth, our medicine that'll keep
them alive, our shelter that'll keep them warm.
Speaker 10 (31:30):
Before Live Aid, Galdoff created band Aid, the British supergroup
featuring artists like Stinging George Michael.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
That's saying, do they know It's Christmas?
Speaker 10 (31:42):
That paved the way for Live Aid, which was watched
by more than one point five billion people, forty percent
of the world's population at the time.
Speaker 23 (31:50):
It seemed like this this gargantuan task that somehow, you know,
kind of magically came together. There were many memorable performances
that came out of it, and had so many of
the legends of rock, led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, but you
also had an entire new generation of Madonna and the
Thompson Twins and Duran Durant, and that.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Was the great thing for me. I was a huge
Thompson Twins fan. I got to see Thompson Twins and
you had all of these bands that I loved performing
and then older bands that you know, my dad and
my mom and everybody loved. And that was the incredible
thing watching this thing break down, and the numbers again massive,
(32:32):
one point five billion peoples, almost half the world's population
was watching it at some point in time.
Speaker 10 (32:40):
To honor the anniversary, one UK radio station is actually
a rebroadcasting the Live eight concert on Sunday ten hours special.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
The World It's Time by Live.
Speaker 10 (32:50):
The concert is now also the subject of a new
BBC docu series Live eight at forty, when Rock and
Roll took on the world, visiting some of the show's
most iconic omens.
Speaker 11 (33:00):
Some of the biggest and best known groups around the world,
taking part of the why not Us.
Speaker 10 (33:08):
Freddy Mercury and Queen's twenty one minute set is the
stuff of legend, re enacted in the Oscar winning film
Folkhemian Rhapsody. Before that, you Too Electrified, Wembley and Bono
went off stage and off script singing an eleven minute
version of back Just One Step in a musical marathon
(33:34):
that showcased the power of music and it.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Was incredible And by the way, the Freddie Mercury, if
you've seen the movie. You think, was it really that big?
Was it really that incredible? This is what Rolling Stone
said about Queen. That's the magazine, not the band. It
was the single greatest live perform in the history of rock.
(34:04):
Bob Geldolf said it was the perfect stage for Freddy
the whole world and he used it. The amount of
money raised was pretty damn big at the time. If
you look at about five hundred million compared to today
that is and it sounds weird, that is nothing the realities.
Band AID did twenty four million, USA for Africa did
sixty three million live eight one hundred and twenty seven million.
(34:26):
When you look at things like the Haiti earthquake thirteen
billion dollars globally, COVID through their concerts about half a billion.
And every one of these, for the most part, had issues.
And that was one of the big things about Live Aid.
What kind of issues were out there when they tried
to get the food to these people that were starving
(34:47):
in Ethiopia. And yes, there were some serious issues by
the government run by a lunatic Marxist SOB at the time.
For the most part, though it worked, It raised awareness,
brought us great music, and yes, some of that stuff
got diverted, and not all of it was as perfect
as we thought. But it was about people trying to
(35:09):
give that day and I thought it was awesome and
it's something we got to relive. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show
was your ex your Insta, YouTube and Facebook will be
live tonight. Appreciate it if you check us out on
the old YouTube. And again, if you miss any of
the podcasts we tell you all the time, shame on you.
(35:30):
Make sure you grab that podcast. It helps us out
right here on the Chad Benson Show. Coming up our
number two more on what's going on in Texas with
the floods. Obviously, immigration a big deal. Epstein not going anywhere,
no matter how hard they try, this is not going anywhere.
(35:54):
And I keep telling people this at this moment in
time is not about Epstein. It's not about the island.
It's about other things and what may be coming in
the future. Also, Air India, new reports are out that
maybe Operator Air may be a big cause of this
and not a complete malfunction of the airplane. Talk about
(36:15):
that as well. Reach out to us across all of
our social media again to that live on YouTube. If
you're missing the show, grab the podcast hour number two
straight at Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Tariff Polooza. That's right, Tariff's getting ready to hit. Is
he taco Trump always chickens out? Or are we gonna
get Trump? The tariff KINGO.
Speaker 17 (37:07):
This morning more top US trading partners are dealing with
President Trump's teriff threats. Over the weekend, the European Union
and Mexico slapped with new thirty percent import taxes that
will take effect August. First, we have.
Speaker 7 (37:21):
Tariffs pouring it at levels that we have never seen before,
and they've only get started.
Speaker 17 (37:28):
The President also threatening to raise the tariffs even higher
if any of the countries retaliate something European leaders are
now considering.
Speaker 6 (37:36):
We've prepared for this and we can respond with countermeasures
if necessary.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
If necessary, said RUSSELA. Yeah, the tariffs. Here's the thing
about tariffs. I understand why Trump does some of this.
No doubt that we have done more than our part
to help fund a lot of places hartually because the
dollar's been so strong, We've got things like that. I
(38:02):
mean let's be real. We're consumer based nation. We decided
that's what we wanted to be. That being said, if
we over to it, can it come back and bite
us in the ass? I say, yes it can. But
we're gonna have to wait to see. Because how many
times have we heard we're raising tariffs to a billion
(38:22):
percent and then August first comes or whatever day they
put out there, and we've decided to move it an
extra thirty days. We don't know what's gonna happen here.
Because if I ask ten different people inside the administration
day what tariffs are actually right now in effect? That
(38:44):
worked there pre Trump? But are there now? What which
ones are in effect? They would be like I get
ten different answers, ten different answers.
Speaker 23 (38:54):
Trump administration has made clear to our trading partners that
this is not we're not looking for win win deals.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
We're looking for win loose.
Speaker 9 (39:03):
We want to get more than we give. In fact,
we want to give.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Zero, which sounds great. Do I think that's possible? No,
So what do you want? We want to tariff the
hell out of you and for you to pay the tariff,
and you to buy our stuff and you to have
no tariffs on US, and if we want to buy
(39:29):
your goods, we basically win all the time. That that
isn't going to happen. First of all, that's Trump would say,
that's just bad business.
Speaker 5 (39:37):
Sport volumes hit record highs. As companies, we're trying to
forerun these tariffs, so they have inventories.
Speaker 24 (39:46):
Those are going to come to it an end.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
And we are going to see price increases, job losses.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
It's all possibility. Is it a guarantee? No, because we're
not sure all the tariffs are going to go into effect.
It's about the economy.
Speaker 17 (40:01):
Stupid as week. In a series of letters posted to
social media, the president hit countries with tariffs ranging from
twenty five to fifty percent. Since Trump first announced tariffs
in April, he's changed them multiple times. Despite the uncertainty,
stocks have hit record highs, getting many Americans four one
k's have benefited, and part of.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
The reason the stock market no longer reacts. That's the
whole thing with the taco right. Trump always chickens out
when they hear him say we're doing this. They no
longer react to it because they don't believe he's actually
going to follow through on those threats.
Speaker 17 (40:37):
But some experts warn the president's fifty percent tariff on
copper imports could make phones, computers, and TVs more expensive.
The cost of coffee beans from Brazil could also rise,
so could the price of clothing, shoes, and accessories made overseas.
The president last night saying he expects other countries to negotiate.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
We willing if they're willing to open up, and we'll
find out how how much people are willing to negotiate.
Because it all sounds great, we're going to negotiate. But
if your whole thing is we're going to negotiate, we
want to win and you have to lose, that's not
gonna go as well. So I think people think it's
gonna go. How weird would that be? Hey, We're going
(41:16):
to go into negotiation later on today where I'm going
to ask you for everything and you have to give it,
and you're gonna ask me for stuff and I'm gonna
be able to tell you no, and you can't deal
with it in any other way than saying okay, how
do you think that would go? Not well? Not well
at all. Meanwhile, talked about it last hour, several of
you chimed in about this. I said, it's not going anywhere.
(41:39):
And I continue to say it's not going anywhere, and
that is the Epstein stuff. It isn't going anywhere. And
now the GOP is out there doing GOP things, which
is trying to say it's not a big deal. You guys,
it's no big deal. What are you paying attention to
this for?
Speaker 12 (41:55):
As I've said, I'm not exactly one to subscribe to conspiracy.
So from my vantage point, if somebody committed a crime,
if somebody affiliated with Jeffrey Epstein committed a crime, they
should be prosecuted in the absence of that. Frankly, this
seems like a colossal waste of time and effort and frankly,
(42:19):
a lot of nonsense. There are a lot of issues
facing this country right now. A dead pedophile ain't one
of them. And from my vantage point, you know, the
world is a lot better off with Jeffrey Epstein no
longer part of it. And as I said, if somebody
did something, if there is evidence of a crime committed,
(42:42):
then prosecute them in the absence of that. What are
we talking.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
About as a perfect example of nothing to see here now?
Because we say there's nothing to see here, So why
are you guys paying attention. Well, no, you made this
a big issue to so many people about the deep
state and all of this stuff and how this guy
was this and this guy was that. You made this
(43:06):
a big deal. Do I think it's the biggest deal.
Speaker 15 (43:11):
No.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
But this has nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. They're
trying to make it. Oh, this is all about Jeffrey Epstein,
you'll beget No, this is about the fact that you
told people this happened. This is what's going on. We've
got this, All of these things are out there. You
guys have no idea. There's a deep state here.
Speaker 22 (43:28):
It is.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
We're going to expose it. This is the transparency you
got in there, and you're like, Nope, never happened. It's
not about him. It's about why should we believe you
on anything else. That's what I hear from a lot
of the young people, the older people. They don't care.
It's the economy, stupid. We continue to talk about the
economy because it's right, the economy matters. But for a
(43:50):
young generation who is still up for grabs, who especially
the young males, overwhelmingly went for Trump, you're now telling
them no deal with this, none of this stuff happened,
and you are making a big mistake.
Speaker 12 (44:06):
Well, frankly, the fact that you're even covering this, I mean,
I don't even understand, frankly, what why we're spending a
lot of time on Jeffrey Epstein. You know, the fact
is he was a pedophile who was arrested, he committed suicide,
(44:26):
and his you know fixer if you will, is being prosecuted.
So at the end of the day, if there are
people who were part of any crimes, then they should
be prosecuted. But in the absence of that is what
exactly are we looking to do. The information is there,
(44:51):
It is well documented what he did, and beyond that,
what exactly are we looking for?
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Once again, you're not paying if you think that's all
this is about. It's not just about Epstein and all
the horrors that went with it, because it could be
much bigger than we realized. It could be somewhat nothing.
I think it's probably somewhere in between. It's the look,
it's the attitude, it's the way it's being perceived by
a group of people. Turning Point USA this weekend had
(45:20):
their big event. They had bannoned a bunch of people there.
Let me tell you something being talked about all over
the place, and they were not happy with what they
were hearing. They felt like, you're telling me a story
about this. You're pushing this out there for months and years,
(45:41):
and then when push comes to shove, you just push
us aside and say, no big deal, nothing to see.
That makes me say there's something to see. So when
you come and you say, hey, look at this, we
think this, we think deep state, we think this, those
people aren't buying it. When you say that one big,
(46:01):
beautiful bill is going to be the most incredible thing
of all times, is going to cut all of this stuff,
those people aren't buying it. So it's more than just
whether or not Jeffrey Epstein was a scumbag, which I
think we can all agree, yes, yes, he was three
two three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three at
Chad Benson's show, is Your X, your Insta as well
(46:23):
as all the other things out there. Recovery continues to
go on in Texas. That is going to take a
much longer time than I think people realize. And then
the question about the issue with the maps is now
coming up. Did FEMA go in and change some of
the maps a few years ago, starting all the way
(46:47):
back in I guess twenty thirteen, to move some of
the areas that were involved in this out of the
flood zone.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Concerns rising over an AP report that it says FEMA
approved appeals from Camp Mystic to remove some buildings from
the flood map, which could have allowed the camp to
bypass certain flood regulations. FEMA amended the county's flood map
in twenty thirteen to remove fifteen of the camp's buildings
from the hazard area, and fifteen more were removed in
(47:20):
twenty nineteen and twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Remember, in tragedies like this and others, people are going
to want somebody something to blame, and there's plenty of
blame to go around. But right now, people want the
solution today and the answers today, and there are still
people whose remains have not been recovered. That's the number
(47:46):
one thing. To help try to get the area back
on its feet is absolutely vital and important. But if
you go back and look at all of these disasters,
no matter what it is, there were more than ample
opportunities to fix a problem potentially or to alert people
of a problem. In the future potentially that were ignored
(48:10):
because it's easier to ask for forgiveness than get permission,
and that a lot of times comes with money and
we'd rather put it elsewhere than in this situation. Because
this situation it hasn't happened yet, so we'll ask for
(48:30):
forgiveness when it does. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chadbinson shows your action,
your insta Birch Gold. Gold is important in so many
ways right now with all of the things going on
out there. Why gold, Well, it's made more than a
forty percent move in the past twelve months. Central banks
continue to bolster demands for gold. They're buying in record quantities,
(48:54):
global instability, tariffs, the battle that's going on with the
bricks nations trying to get away from the dollar. Is
an easy thing for you to do, to go I
don't know what to do and just do nothing, or
an even easier thing is to text Benson to ninety

(49:37):
This is the Chad Benson Show. Chad Benson, what happened
to the Air India flight? We're learning more and more
about its every single day. This seems to be going
(49:58):
from failure catastrophically of the engines, the electrical system and
all of that stuff, to maybe operator air.
Speaker 25 (50:07):
The report says three seconds after the plane lifted off,
one switch went from the run position to the cutoff position,
meaning it's cutting off fuel to the engine. One second
later the other switch goes to cut off as well.
This means no more fuel to the engines. They started
to shut down.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Which is crazy, right, So you just take off and
you flip the switches. Well, that could be an accident, right,
Those things are easy. You could have gotten that confused.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
These are military grade switches.
Speaker 25 (50:38):
They have to be lifted up and moved to the
next position. It's not something where you just bump your
elbow into it and it can shift one way or another.
Experts I've spoken with say it's impossible that these switches
would have been moved accidentally. Now ten seconds after the
switches were turned off. One of the switches was turned
back on the other switch shortly thereafter. But there just
wasn't enough time for the engines to recover. That's what
(51:00):
led to the plane crash because.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
It wasn't high enough. So I was playing pick a
ball this week with my buddy. He is a pilot
and he's got a lot of hours, and he said,
I don't have enough hours to fly a plane like that.
This guy didn't have enough hours, one of the co
pilots to fly a plane like this. What were they thinking?
And there's a lot that you know, we assays a nation.
(51:24):
We've got a lot of stuff and red tape that
drives us crazy and the abundance of regulations. There's a
reason for that. Now sometimes if it is, is it
a bit of quote unquote overkill? Yes, I think we
recognize that because that's more about having twenty five agencies
do one thing. Air India had it essentially admitted that
(51:48):
they kind of skirted some of the processes when it
comes to the health of the plane. On top of that,
now the pilot who had fourteen thousand hours or so
was having issues mentally, had undergone a Class one medical
exam in September. Apparently he was not too far away
(52:12):
from retirement. His mother passed away last year. He's taking
care of his elderly father. He was having some severe
mental issues. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson's show, Is your ex and
your Insta ready here on the Chad Benson Show. I mean,
there's all kinds of things they're looking at now, but
(52:33):
the it was a giant, huge malfunction and breakdown of
the system. Now seems to be we'll hold on a sicket.
It might have been operator air. And why that's important
is because we're traveling a lot and we see these
things and its front mind awareness when it comes to
(52:59):
this stuff. Last month, one of the number one trending
things was air safety. People are worried because they see,
you know, all the time that there's an issue to
another plane crash yesterday, smaller one in London, and we
think that every day there's planes falling from the sky
(53:19):
and that's not true, but you do understand why there
is a worry, and it only takes a second for
something to get out there and next thing you know,
you're like, oh my god, it's all happening twenty four
to seven. Not true, but understandable. No doubt about that,
No doubt about that. Meanwhile, in Arizona, it's not water
(53:39):
but fire causing chaos.
Speaker 26 (53:44):
Lightning is to blame for starting two fires rapidly growing
in the Grand Canyon, the so called Dragon Bravo fire,
destroying between fifty and eighty structures, including the Grand Canyon Lodge,
a National Historic Landmark. Farther north, the White Sage fire,
destroying more than forty thousand acres.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Boat fires are currently zero percent contained. Yeah, they're expanding
as well, and whether will be a big part of
whether or not it expands much more. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four, twenty three. At Chad Benson Show is your
ex and your answer. You listen to the show, shame on,
you have the podcast. It is the Jet Benson Show, Son, Chad.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
Benson, Shoe, the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Bubonic plague. We're just talking about Arizona in the fires.
But there's more going on in the Sona. What are
we doing?
Speaker 27 (54:54):
A patient in Arizona has died of bubonic plague, according
to multiple reports. Nor Through in Arizona Healthcare spokesperson says
the unidentified patient arrived at the Flagstaff Medical Center er
and passed away the same day. Known for causing the
Black Death that swept through Europe and Asia in the
twelfth century, bubonic plague is caused by bacteria known as
(55:16):
Rcinia pestis. It impacts humans and other mammals. People usually
contract the disease through a bite from an infected rodent,
flee or touching an animal carrying the plague.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
According to the CDC, don't do that, don't are uh?
Our daughter called yesterday, so she we have our house
out there in Arizona and we go back and forth,
and she called and she was worried about the plague,
and we're like, you don't really have to worry about this.
It's creepy, yes, but every year there are several people
(55:49):
that die from the bubonic plague, not just you know, globally,
but also here in America. It happens, and people mistake
what it is. And what ends up happening is by
the time these symptoms are really bad, it's too late.
You have to be to the hospital within twenty four
(56:11):
hours once the system present itself, or it's too late.
Speaker 27 (56:15):
Health officials say they made attempts to save the patient's
life but were unsuccessful. They say they discovered the person
had bubonic plague through a rapid diagnostic test. Local, state,
and county officials are investigating how and where the patient
contracted the disease. County health officials recently reported a mass
prairie dog die off just northeast of Flagstaff, which they
(56:38):
say maybe an indicator of the plague. Investigators are now
working with the owner of the privately owned land where
the prairie dogs died to gather flea samples and test
them for bubonic plague the flea samples.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Now, remember there's neumonic plague and bubonic plague. Both of
them are deadly. So about seven people a year in
the USA get the plague on average, one dies. And
it's the funny thing. It's antibiotics, that's it. It's antibiotics
(57:12):
will save you. Nothing crazy, nothing like we have to
do seventy five different shots between your toes. We have
to take your toenails off and your hand, you know,
figertails off, and then we have to do no, it's
just it's antibiotics, but you have to have it administered
within the first twenty four hours of the symptoms presenting.
(57:38):
Otherwise it's bad. It's bad, and the chance of you
surviving from then is very slim.
Speaker 27 (57:46):
Health officials warrant anyone who believes they may have a
contagious disease to contact their doctor or, if severe, go
to the er. They say people with potentially contagious illnesses
should wear masks when arriving at the hospital to prevent.
Speaker 2 (57:59):
The spread, which is important if you've got something you
think is super contagious. You understand what we're talking about here.
Let's not get off on some COVID thing. We're talking
about the plague. Now, let's just say, for the sake
of argument, you think maybe.
Speaker 28 (58:15):
You have it.
Speaker 2 (58:16):
How would you know what are the symptoms? Because it's
been a long time since you've been around, since like
the thirteen hundred, so like maybe we should kind of
know what symptoms are.
Speaker 27 (58:26):
Symptoms of bubonic plague usually develop within two to six
days after infection. They include fever, swollen and sore lymph
nodes most common in the armpit.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Groin, and neck.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
That's like everything. Every single thing you can catch will
have that. If you feel that you are in an
area where there could be the plague and you have
any of those, we advise you to go and to
seek bubonic plague help. But you only get one of
(58:59):
these things called lives, So just be smart about it.
So we're saying three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chadminton show as your act
your insta alligator Alcatraz is up and running and those
alligators are full. Woo, no, no, already it's the worst
(59:20):
place ever. It's concentration camp. We've heard the people last
week go. They're putting it incinerators to incinerate people. What's
the truth behind the insanity.
Speaker 29 (59:30):
When President Donald Trump toured the migrant detention facility in
the Florida Everglades earlier this month, he said that it
would very soon house some of the most menacing migrants.
Some of the most vicious people on the planet, he said.
But any report published Sunday suggests that may not be
the case. Hundreds of immigrants with no criminal charges in
the United States are being held at Alligator Alcatraz, according
(59:54):
to an investigation by the Miami Herald and the Tampa
Bay Times, which obtained records about that migrants being held there.
According to the report, there are more than two hundred
and fifty people who are listed as having only immigration
violations but no criminal convictions, who are being held together
with those accused and convicted of crimes.
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
And this is where the issue is going to come in.
As we were talking about last hour, the stance on
immigration is starting to change. Immigration is good for us.
You're starting to see the way that this is going.
People are starting to pivot into a certain area saying, well,
hold on a second, Uh, what about this and what
about that? When it comes to immigration, I thought you
(01:00:36):
were going to do this. You and I both know
that it doesn't take a lot in today's world to
change people's minds because we're a very emotional group of folk,
and the things that sound good, we're going to deport
everybody that's bad. Okay, we're fine with that, But now
(01:00:59):
you're deporting everybody. Well, hold on a second. We were
told you were just gonna import the baddies, right. The
worst first, well, it's everybody here who's broken a crime.
There's gonna be no amnesty. They're painting the picture. They're
just people that are working, right, These are just people
that are here for this. They've come here, they've not
(01:01:19):
caused any problems. It's now you're starting to see the
shift in the way that people are feeling about how
this is going. And Trump is very attuned by the
way to what happens in the world of public opinion.
Trump understands it. He feels that he's like, well, hold
(01:01:40):
on a second, they want what oh, they want us
to really get the worst first, They're not quite sure.
They want us to get rid of everybody. I'm hearing
from other people who are saying, yeah, I can't find
anybody to work. We've talked about it. Trump has kind
of hemmed and hard about whether or not there's going
to be amnesty for some groups of people and other
groups of people. He's tested it out there. This is
(01:02:02):
one of those situations where he's hearing a lot of
stuff and he's trying to take it all in. But
as we said the other day, he's painted himself a
new a corner, and this is that purity test which
is now your loudest group wants everybody gone or else,
(01:02:22):
and they don't care that they're going to an alligator Alcatraz.
They don't care about that. And this is part of
the problem. When you make everything a giant, huge branding
opportunity where it's all about grabbing the headlines, then you
have stuff like alligator Alcatraz. Okay, you can say that
(01:02:43):
about every You could say that about every elementary school
in Florida, because if there's a little bit of water
somewhere in Florida, chances are there's an alligator in it.
The kids could be out playing on the playground and
there could be a puddle, there could be a gator
in it. But they love this, and the sausage is
now being made in front of the world, and the world,
(01:03:06):
i e. Our world not thrilled about the outcome of
the sausage. We like the taste of it, we like
the thought of it, the idea of it. It's all great,
but the reality of it is something different.
Speaker 11 (01:03:18):
We were very suspect of that because they have a
bracelet system of red, yellow, and green, I believe, and
you know, there were we could hardly get up close
to any of them, but it was clear that there
were not many with red bracelets. But then the herald
story comes out this morning and shows that hundreds of
(01:03:39):
these nine hundred detainees have no criminal conviction, and that
was our suspicion to begin with.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Well, they promised to deport everybody, and you've got a
group of people out there who are loud, who are
massive MAGA supporters that want that the average person, the
independent voter. We talked about the numbers that are out
there right now when it comes to which is a
vast majority of Americans support immigration, legal immigration, But how
(01:04:06):
you do things matters, and when you talk to the
person who doesn't give it much thought but wants a
tighter border, wants borders, wants immigration done right. In their mind,
the people that they are deporting aren't the grandma's, the grandpa's,
the father of three, and I'm not talking about Kilmarbrego
(01:04:31):
and the family you know with kids. They're deporting the
MS thirteen members, And in their mind they see that,
and then in reality they're seeing something else that gives
them pause for concern because they were told the worst first,
and this little old lady doesn't look like the worst. First, three, two, three, five,

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Look, it's Superman and what's Superman doing? Making money and
tons of it this weekend.
Speaker 28 (01:06:21):
But the new Superman movie soars into theaters today and
the reviews are glowing. A charming take on the Superman myth,
says The New York Times. On Rotten Tomatoes, it's getting
an impressive eighty five percent score.
Speaker 5 (01:06:38):
I thought this movie was excellent. It's really fun. I
feel like it's a fun modern Superman.
Speaker 28 (01:06:44):
There's been some criticism from the right that the movie
was too quote unquote woke because Superman is presented as
an immigrant.
Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
I feel like with Hollywood, there's always a lot of
buzz before people see the film. After seeing the film,
I feel like they really just focused on entertaining audiences
of all ages.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Which is what we have talked about one dred percent
entertain entertain entertain and as far as woke goes my
uncle's like, not even close to being woke. There's no wokeness.
I sell Tim Poole come out and say it's that woke.
It's a fun movie. The issue is did they try
to squeeze too much into it that had nothing to
(01:07:24):
do with politics? Just too many characters. They made it
too confusing if you're not a true superhero comic book fan,
would you got confused rather than just keeping with the
storyliner two? That's what I've heard was the issue. But
the woke stuff, no, because now anything that Hollywood does
the right comes out and says it's WOWK, it's WOWK.
(01:07:44):
I mean some of that's true, some of it's wacky.
But you got to see the movie first, even last
week before as there was an embargo on all this stuff.
You got James Gunn coming out and you know, talking
about oh, he's an immigrant, this, that and the other.
There wasn't even any of that really in the movie.
That was his saying it before the movie had kind
of come out. But he says humanity instead of America.
(01:08:06):
Uh it is he came out to entertain. Now we're
gonna probably see the movie here the next week or so,
But everybody I've talked to who's on the right side
of the aisle who has seen this movie, and my uncle,
being the biggest Magas supporter out there, who is also
a person who's the biggest comic book nerd that you
(01:08:27):
can find, says, Nah, none of that's true. It's just
a fun movie.
Speaker 28 (01:08:30):
ABC News reporter Will Reeve, a son of the first
big screen Superman, Christopher Reeve, sat down with the new
Superman actor David Corn sweat why.
Speaker 10 (01:08:41):
Do you think people have such passion for and strong
opinions about Superman as a character.
Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
Well, first, I think a lot of it is because
of your dad.
Speaker 30 (01:08:51):
I mean, it's so rare that you have a character
so effectively portrayed on screen.
Speaker 28 (01:08:56):
Crypto, Superman's dog, Crypto is a stealer.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
That's what everybody's told me that I know they've seen
the movie. Said to Cryptos, like, people get most excited
when Crypto Cruise is on stage. Crypto ow, stop it stop.
Speaker 28 (01:09:10):
There was even an all Dogs Welcome premiere in Los Angeles.
Even the White House is jumping on the Superman bandwagon.
They posted an image of President Trump as Superman with
the caption truth, Justice, and the American Way the image
is sure strewing things up on social media. This is
not a parody, folks, and Trump is the antithesis of Superman.
Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
Even when the right trust is submits it's just so,
why would you do that? I'm curious he did it.
I don't know why. Don't look at me. I thought
it was a parody as well. I thought. And there's
no way he did that. The White House, the White
they they did that.
Speaker 28 (01:09:49):
Others think it's cool, strong, bold, unstoppable, goes one comment.
Another says Trump is the real Superman.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
You don't think he's the real Superman. No, I don't,
because I don't think Superman's real. In fact, they know
he's not. I know he's not real. Isn't it crazy? Though?
Like that's where we are today's world. Is it woke?
Some of it's ridiculously woke.
Speaker 17 (01:10:16):
Some of it is.
Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
And we've talked about it. You're making movies for the
people that make movies, not for fans. And one of
the things I've said over and over again about the
universes of Marvel and DC or Star Wars or any
of those things. You start messing with people's childhoods, their memories.
(01:10:40):
That's not a good thing. People don't want that, even
people that you're supposed to be like, this is all
about you. We're gonna make this character about you and
whatever group that you feel has been underserved and is
some sort of suppressed minority. No thinking about No, I
(01:11:01):
don't need that. That's not this is what it is, right,
he doesn't need to fight climate change. I want him
to fight lex Luthor. I wanted to fight the bad
people and I wanted to be entertaining. And that's uh,
that's what I hear. It is, you know, like I said,
the only complaint I've heard from everybody I know who's
(01:11:22):
seen it, and some of them have sought you know,
several weeks ago, have all voice pretty much the same thing.
It's just too much at times happening. Too many storylines
are trying to fit in to branch off to other storylines.
So but it did well, and I think it's going
to do okay. I think it's going to be somewhat
of a hit. And James gunn Is he's showing, hey, look,
(01:11:43):
you know I did it over there at Marvel, and
I could do it here. And so we'll see what
the next one looks like. Because there's plenty of them coming,
you know that. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Bentson Show. Is your
ex your Insta, your Facebook, your YouTube, like and subscribe.
(01:12:04):
Remember we go live nightly. We'll be live tonight right
around seven o'clock Eastern. So if you have a chance,
jump on board with us, we'd love to see you
on there across all of our social media right here
on the Chad Benson Show. Coming up, interesting stuff when
it comes to what's going on at the border, the
(01:12:26):
battle of immigration and this once again insane world where
conversations can't be had when it comes to immigration in
any real way, and we talk about that more on
the flooding in Texas and the fallout from that as well.
It's been a year since Trump was shot at the
(01:12:46):
assassination plot. What has changed, what hasn't changed. We talk
a little bit about that among other things. We've got
a little what's trending as well? And is it true Elmo?
I hope it's not. We will discuss that. If you
haven't heard, It's insane. Our number three of the programs
straight ahead, This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
This is The Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
It's a Monday morning. Let's have some ridiculousness businessness going
on in the world of politics and whatnot and pop culture.
I guess you could throw it in. There's a lot
of ridiculousnessnessness is going on. Let's just start with the
only thing that matters in ridiculousnessnessnessness. This weekend, Trump talking
about Rosie o'donald as you do. Let's see Israel Ukraine
(01:14:00):
immigration kind of a hot mess when it comes to
the Epstein files, tariffs. Rosie I don't know about I watsie.
Rosy's a mess.
Speaker 9 (01:14:11):
She's a mess.
Speaker 7 (01:14:13):
But she left her country, which is a good thing,
not a bad.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
Thing, because yeah, that matters. It's it's what where am I?
Who cares what she thinks? But then the question is
can he take away citizenship? No, no, you can't take
a winter citizenship. She's an American, she was born here.
You don't get to take that away. The question about
(01:14:38):
naturalized citizen lying on their forms to get into the
country to eventually become a citizen. I think that is
the one that you know, people look at, can they
do that or not? But no, you can't do Just
why are we having these insane conversations. What's going on
(01:14:59):
in tech? This is what's going on globally. There's real
stuff going on out there. And what like I think Rosie,
she's she's not good.
Speaker 9 (01:15:08):
Okay, question for you this morning.
Speaker 15 (01:15:10):
Does President Trump have the power to take American citizenship away?
It's a question that's been simmering for several weeks now,
as the President discussed stripping naturalized citizens like Elon Musk
and New York City mayoral candidates Zoron Mom Dammy of
their citizenship.
Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
Again, the insanity of even thinking about that. And here's
the funny thing. Okay, let's just take those things away.
So let's just say you could find out a way
take away somebody's citizenship based on the fact that they
lied to get into the country. They lied on their
application lied. All okay, fine, let's see what happens here.
She was born here, she's an American. You're not taking
(01:15:47):
that away. As much as you don't like Rosie, that's
insane to even think that. But let's not forget this
between the two very personal.
Speaker 15 (01:15:57):
These two have big beef two thousand and six.
Speaker 2 (01:16:01):
They don't mince work. They say beef like it's a
wrap thing. They got beef.
Speaker 15 (01:16:05):
It's toward one another.
Speaker 9 (01:16:06):
No, why is she back in his crosshairs?
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
And does this have any teeth to it?
Speaker 8 (01:16:10):
Right?
Speaker 24 (01:16:11):
This is very interesting because we know that the feud
between them has.
Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
Been going back nearly two decades.
Speaker 24 (01:16:16):
They've been throwing insults at each other. But it flared
up again over the weekend with the President threatened threatening
to take o'donald's US citizenship away. President Trump taking to
truth social and Saturday saying, quote, because of the fact
that Rosie o'donnald is not in the best interest of
our great country, I am giving serious consideration to taking
away her citizenship. Unclear on what sparked the President to post, you.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
Can't do that. I don't, but it gets everybody in
the basic sided. Oh maybe they's will get him off
the whole the whole thing when it comes to Epstein
will take away her citizenship.
Speaker 24 (01:16:49):
This but o'donald did post a nearly ten minute video
to TikTok last weekend, and and parts of it she
criticized the Trump administration's response to the deadly Texas floods.
I mean that Trump gutted all of the early warning
systems and weather forecasting abilities of the government, and o'donald
told Ireland's RTE Radio one that at first she thought
(01:17:10):
the post was fake.
Speaker 8 (01:17:12):
I know he can't do that, but the Supreme Court
has given him unbridled powers, and who knows what he
can and can't do. He shouldn't be allowed to be
doing what he is to immigrants in the United States
without due process.
Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
But he's doing it anyway. Just insane that we're talking
about Rosie O'Donnell. She's not going anywhere. You don't have
to like her, dislike or whatever. You just you're not
doing that. Because think about this, and I always remind
everybody out there on the right, and there's like I
wish you could do that. One day you won't be
in power. Then imagine if they decide to strip somebody
(01:17:47):
of their citizenship that you would like, just want to
put that out there. Oh yeah, I wouldn't like that
exactly exactly. You wouldn't like that. So that's why it
ain't gonna happen. So bizarre them talking about Rosie O'Donnell
jewish they did to Rosie No, because it's silly. Why
(01:18:09):
are we talking about her? Because Trump's trying to pivot
away from certain things and Rosie's an easy, low hanging
fruit because they have fought for years and kind of
a funny weird way they have battled. I think it's
twenty years they have argued with one another, and her
(01:18:30):
ridiculous and lu see with the Supreme Court has just
given him the ultimate power. No, they haven't, they haven't.
We saw that with the rulings last week when it
came to immigration class action lawsuit. What did it saying it? Well,
if it's a class action lawsuit, they can put a
stop on the government and the administration's executive order, Trump's
(01:18:54):
executive order about birthright citizenship. Well, if it was anything
that Trump wants, then they wouldn't have stopped him. But Chad,
the Supreme Court gave him free carte blanche way to
destroy anything he wants that he thinks goes against him. Sorry,
(01:19:16):
that's not true. Stop with your fear mongering. This is
an immigration lawyer who will tell you the things I've
been telling you, and I'm making it up. Once you're here,
once you're an American, you're always an American.
Speaker 31 (01:19:32):
This is a bedrock of US immigration law, and that
is once a citizen, always as cidens she was born
in America. Even if she does not agree with the president,
or the president agree with her, he cannot.
Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
Take it away. So there you go, move on with it.
I like the battle though, right, anything to take your
mind off of what may be out there in the
Epstein files. Chad, that's not cool because like this stupid Okay,
there's nothing in the files, all right, nothing, Just move
on from them. I'm look. I always said they were
(01:20:09):
never gonna get anything out of these things, but it
was the way that they went about doing it that
kind of put them in the position that they're currently
finding themselves, which is also kind of funny. Meanwhile, something
that's not funny what's going on in Texas as they
try to dig out of all of this. Everybody's still
(01:20:29):
looking for the who do we blame scenario for this disaster,
mother nature being first and foremost the one to blame,
but there are other things that are involved in this
as well, and not just at the local level, which
we have seen. There's plenty of blame to go around.
Could there be some FEMA stuff pre dating even Trump
(01:20:51):
coming down the escalator?
Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Concerns rising over an AP report that says FEMA approved
appeals from cat Mystic reve some buildings from the flood map,
which could have allowed the camp to bypass certain flood regulations.
FEMA amended the county's flood map in twenty thirteen to
remove fifteen of the camp's buildings from the hazard area,
(01:21:15):
and fifteen more were removed in twenty nineteen and twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
So did they alter it. It's possible again, all of
it is possible that they altered some of these maps
because maybe they looked and said, well, it's been X
amount of years, nothing's ever got that high. I don't know,
but that was pre Trump. And then who knows what
(01:21:40):
happens for there. Everybody wants to blame some body. They
want it to be. Hey, it's as black and white
as it's your fault. This was not only a perfect storm,
and I'm talking about the natural side of it, the
rain and the whole nine yard. This was a perfect
(01:22:01):
storm of a bunch of screw ups, a bunch of
we'll get to it later, a bunch of will run
it up the flag pole and see in the next meeting,
a bunch of easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
(01:22:21):
A bunch of things, is what I'm saying. That led
to the perfect storm that this thing became, which when
all of a sudden done, how many people will officially
be declared that, I don't know because they're still trying
to locate people. Whether again this weekend. It wasn't great
(01:22:41):
throughout the day. It's not supposed to be great, but
it's not supposed to be as bad as it was.
Everybody wants to be able to point to something and
say it's this fault, it's that fault. They want the
black and white, and it's not as simple as that.
(01:23:03):
My old boss, you say, don't bring me a problem,
bring me a solution. And I used to love that.
He'd walk and he do be a problem, Bring me
a solution. The problem here was a lack of communication,
a lack of forward thinking funds maybe but probably not,
(01:23:29):
push back from the locals in certain areas, and a
lack of awareness of the potential of what may happen.
There will be enough blame to go around, but they
don't need the blame right now. What they need is help.
(01:23:49):
It's that simple, but in today's modern politics, in today's
world that we live in, people want answers first. The
solutions can come later. We want answers to who caused
this mess, whose fault it is, any of those other solutions.
Those things can come later. Got a great text, so
(01:24:10):
you said, Chatt, I leve your stance about the flood
notification system, the posture about the subject in Texas. It
feels like in today's age, we're completely abandoned certain technology
for the sake of cultural trends. Similar to radio, certain
technologies should persist regardless of cultural trends. I agree, And
modern technology isn't as expensive as they wanted to make
(01:24:30):
it out to be, and it was a little thing
that could have gone a long way, and those little
fixes could have saved lives. We can't fix that now,
but we can look forward and go, how do we
make it safer for everybody? But we're a reactionary society,
and I've said that a thousand times. We will react
(01:24:51):
when it's really really bad and try to fix it.
We don't think forward and think prevention. We think reaction three, two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three. At Chad Benton's show, is

I don't think Elmo really posted that. I think Elmo
would be smart enough to stay away from that. Get
away from that stuff. Chelsea Soccer Team Epstein never going away,

you guys are probably still thinking about Elmo and what
he said Oh, we'll talk about it a little bit.
I promise you that I can't believe Alma would say
those things. There's no way. It's pretty crazy, though, isn't it.
Some of the other things that were training we didn't
get to Tucker Carlson over the weekend, Turning Point had
(01:29:45):
a big event. He gave some, you know, some of
his thoughts, very wide ranging. Tucker kind of wanders up
and just starts speaking, as you know he does. And
obviously he's been somebody who has pushed a lot of theories,
maybe some conspiracy, maybe some of them based in truth,
maybe a little bit of both. But it was it
(01:30:09):
was an interesting speech, to say the least.
Speaker 32 (01:30:11):
If you deny people what they actually want long enough
and instead substitute things that you claim they should want,
like bombing iron.
Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
You know, I mean, I'm not whatever.
Speaker 32 (01:30:23):
I'm not for run where you spend all day telling
me that it's so important that you know, boys not

Speaker 22 (01:30:30):
Whatever.
Speaker 32 (01:30:30):
I agree, I hate the trainee stuff passionately, I think
you should keep the boys off girls soccer teams.
Speaker 12 (01:30:36):
But I don't know.
Speaker 32 (01:30:37):
It kind of feels like you're feeding me appetizers at
some point.
Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
I want to look around and see a better country.
I think what he was saying there, you're giving us
a lot of issues that are emotional, but the substance
behind him not as big as you would think. Three two, three,

You can fight with Rosie all you want. You can
do all of the things you're threatening to do to
the pooter and to everybody else. But there's still some
stink out there, and it's about Epstein, and it ain't
going anywhere anytime soon.
Speaker 21 (01:31:41):
President Trump today facing a revolt in the MAGA ranks
over how his administration has handled the case of notorious
sex offender Jeffrey Epstein late Sunday, trying to downplay dissatisfaction
and backing his deputy.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
FBI Director Dan Bongino.
Speaker 7 (01:31:56):
I spoke to today Dan Bongino, terrific.
Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Actually, no, I think he's in good chap. I don't
think he is in good ship. I think he's pissed.
I think he's angry. I think he feels like, Hey,
I put my reputation out there. I built a lot
of what it was in my podcast and through my
radio show. This deep state, this thing that was out there,
this machine that was able to shut people up and
(01:32:22):
to hold things over their head and power brokers from
all walks of life, from politics to entertainment to heads
of state. We're all involved in this, and all of
a sudden, there's nothing to see here. Yet nobody is
buying that. And if you're going to sit there and
tell me there's a deep state, and then you push
(01:32:47):
this out there all day long for months and months
and months and a few years and then say now,
we look, there's nothing here that makes people go, well,
there's more to it than this. And that's where it is.
There's more to it than this. And I say that
(01:33:07):
because it's not about him at this point in time,
meaning Epstein, This right now is about we don't believe you.
You've lied to us. We don't believe you. You told
us one thing and then you've pivoted to another. We
(01:33:31):
no longer believe you, and we would like the truth.
You said you were going to be transparent. This isn't
about Epstein and all the evils that he did. This
is about you now lying to us and then you
want us to believe other things. Well, we're still going
back to that thing that you told us was so true,
(01:33:53):
that you told us this is happening, this deep state,
all of these things. Now you're saying it's not just
deal with it or else. No, no, no, no, they're
not letting it go. And remind you again, it's not
about Epstein particular. Of course what he did was horrible.
Of course people won't know the truth. But now it's
a bigger thing, which is you want to tell us
(01:34:14):
to deal with it or else.
Speaker 9 (01:34:16):
Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaker 7 (01:34:18):
We have Texas, we have this, we have all of
the things, and people saw something about this guy that's great.
Speaker 2 (01:34:24):
So we're stupid.
Speaker 14 (01:34:25):
Yeah, we're we're the idiots guys.
Speaker 28 (01:34:28):
That is.
Speaker 16 (01:34:28):
I think what is enraging people right now is it's
insulting our intelligence.
Speaker 14 (01:34:34):
Like obviously the intelligence community is trying to cover it up.
Speaker 16 (01:34:36):
Obviously Trump administration is trying to cover up something changed
because they ran on this idea of exposing it.
Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:34:43):
Yeah, all these guys had great ideas. Cock Eye, Cash Dan,
he was ready to tear it all down. He was
ready to tear down the entire FBI.
Speaker 18 (01:34:51):
Shut down the Hoover building day one, day one, then
still standing, and then he goes on Jill Rogan and
he's like, listen, do you think if I had it,
I wouldn't share it with you?
Speaker 14 (01:35:00):
I do, Yeah, I do. I do believe that, especially
when you're staring.
Speaker 16 (01:35:05):
At me like this, telling me once you protect pedophiles,
you are the most person.
Speaker 9 (01:35:10):
So one or two things, in my mind, is it possible,
One you're covering it up?
Speaker 18 (01:35:14):
Or two nothing really happened and you exploited for thousands
of children to get your man elected.
Speaker 9 (01:35:20):
So which one do you want here?
Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
I agree that is flagrant one. That is Andrew Schultz
and the boys over there talking about this, and at
the beginning of that, not only the way you answered
last week, but you take us for stupid. You're insulting us.
That's where this is at right now for Trump and them.
You are insulting people's intelligence, people who got behind you,
(01:35:46):
especially a younger generation of men, who are saying, well,
hold on here. You're telling us we need to protect
the children. You're telling us we need to do this.
You're telling us we need to do that. It's about
the kids. It's about the kids. Then this happens, and
now you're telling us they shut the blank up, that's
an issue, and gas lighting them isn't going to help you.
(01:36:08):
And I think we're recognizing that this isn't going away tomorrow.
This is going to be an issue, and depending on
what takes place in the economy too. And I say this,
whatever takes place in the economy is always going to
override everything else. But what happens is if the economy
is not great, if it's not rolling, if it's not
rocking and doing all the things, if inflation's not down,
(01:36:28):
and people are struggling with their jobs and are worried,
and home prices are still through the roof and people
can't afford it. If all of those things are still happening,
it's little things like this coupled with other little things
like this that start to mount. Right, these things go
from whispers to chatter to a loud noise to a scream,
(01:36:52):
and it starts to build up. The economy will always
cure all ills. If it's great, people will look the
other way for a lot of stuff. If it's not great,
everything becomes an issue. And I saw a bunch of
people this weekend trying to gauge the room at turning points.
Big thing, and this was a big deal, and I
(01:37:15):
said it last week. The young are not happy about
this because the younger generation, podcast generation, and in the
podcast world, this was a big deal in the podcast world.
This is something that was sold to them that they're
going to get to the bottom of it, and transparency
is going to be there, and that the mighty and
powerful will fall if they were involved in something horrific.
(01:37:38):
And now they're thinking to themselves, you guys are the
same as the last group, and you talk to good game,
but all you are is the same three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
shows your ex and your Insta right here in the
Chad Benton Show. Meanwhile, Elmo, apparently it's anti semitic, but
not really. No, you guys see this, so Elmo and
(01:38:07):
we've got them and we're gonna talk to supposedly was hacked.
Speaker 8 (01:38:15):
I was hacked.
Speaker 2 (01:38:16):
Settled down, We'll ask you the question. But some of
these things on your First of all, the fact that
you have your own X and all that stuff is odd. Secondly,
how do we know you were ACKed?
Speaker 32 (01:38:32):
I was hacked?
Speaker 9 (01:38:34):
Liberals raw.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
So Almo had six hundred and forty thousand followers. Several
provocative and offensive posts will put out there, including one
that said, Elmo, I'm not puttle salt say it, noh,
say it till all tools what? Yeah, I don't believe that, Elmo.
(01:39:01):
One of the posts said all Jews should die. F
the Jews. Donald Trump is Netanyahu's puppet because he's in
the Epstein files. Jews control the world and need to
be exterminated. Did you or did you not write that, Almo?
I'll double all right, just asking you. We want to
get this out there for your truth, because you say
(01:39:21):
you're hacked, Elmo, release the files at real Donald Trump
child blanker. Another post read which appeared to be a
reference to the Jeffrey Epstein files. What do you say
about that? Well, I'm not gonna lie. I'll think the
files short come out. I'll I'll do ra Belova. But
I did write them. Okay, Okay, again, we're trying to
(01:39:45):
gauge what's real and what's not here. That's all we're doing.
We're giving you a voice today, Elmo, in this situation.
But you say you were hacked. A lot of people
are upset. Mike Lee tweeted, I'm forever scarred by at
Elmo words I never expected to utter. I thought we'd
all agree. Elmo is off limits, says one person. See
(01:40:07):
what happens when you defund PBS. At Elmo, is that
what happens? I think it's a bunch of crap.
Speaker 8 (01:40:17):
I'll do.
Speaker 2 (01:40:17):
It's nice, not it's both, but yes, we'll loose the fowls. Well,
the Felmo said it, you should probably do it. That's
all I'm saying. Coming up, it happened forty years ago.
We will discuss straight ahead. But first, my pillow Perkale

I was butus a wee lad, but I watched as
much as I could. I remember that this is my
at my grandma's house and my aunt and everybody. We
were super excited to see all of these bands play
for Live Live Yeah. This past weekend celebrate four forty
years of Live Aid. If you guys don't remember Live Aid,
(01:42:04):
it was on the back of band aid, So band
aid was and we do it every year. Christmas. Do
they know it's Christmas? That whole song and the controversy
around it, et cetera. You know, it's Christmas time and
done for the right reasons. Irish singer Bob Geldoff was
(01:42:25):
home because his band, The boomtown Rats weren't the hottest
thing in music at the time, and he said, I'm
home sitting around doing nothing. Early in the evening when
a report comes on for the BBC and he sees
the report and he's just eaten up by the famine
and the destruction and the death going on in Ethiopia.
So he decides to do something and they produced this,
(01:42:47):
you know, band Aid song, and then we did a
song if you guys remember that. So band Aid comes
out with their song, and then USA for Africa comes
out with theirs, and then they decide to do a
concert and it's called Live Aid and it's massive. It's huge.
It's a cultural experience.
Speaker 10 (01:43:07):
With performances by the likes of Queen David Bowie, mc
Jagerantina Turner. Live Aid made headlines with Headliners, a show
that spanned sixteen hours and in ocean stages at Wimbley
Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. World Phil
(01:43:32):
Collins actually performed at both They called it the Global Jukebox,
but it didn't collect coins. It raised millions, more than
one hundred million dollars, a history making benefit organized by
an Irish singer named Bob Geldoff motivated to fight famine
(01:43:52):
in Ethiopia.
Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
And again done for the right reasons. And the amount
of bands that played there and stuff was tremendous, And
we'll talk a little bit more about that, including Queen
and their impact on music from that giving moment. And
if you've seen the movie, understand a lot of what
(01:44:16):
that culminated with that big oof of them getting on
stage at that time. But it was huge, and I
remember sitting around watching it and I was just, wow,
this is incredible. Can I get to see all these
bands that you don't see because we didn't have a YouTube,
We didn't have any we had MTV, and seeing these
people in concert was rare at best, let alone seeing
(01:44:37):
them in this kind of atmosphere all day long.
Speaker 22 (01:44:41):
Give me a dollar, and I swear to you, I
swear to you that that one dollar will translate into
direct food into someone's mouth, our medicine that'll keep them alive,
our shelter that'll keep them warm.
Speaker 10 (01:44:52):
Before Live ae Geldoff created Banding British supergroup featuring artists
like Stinging George Michael. That's saying, do they know It's Christmas?
That paved the way for Live AID, which was watched
by more than one point five billion people, forty percent
of the world's population at the time.
Speaker 23 (01:45:12):
It seemed like this, this gargantuan task that somehow, you know,
kind of magically came together. There were many memorable performances
that came out of it, and you had so many
of the legends of rock, led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, but
you also had an entire new generation of Madonna and
the Thompson Twins and Duran Durant and that was.
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
The great thing for me. I was a huge Thompson
Twins fan. I got to see Thompson Twins, and you
had all of these bands that I loved performing and
then older bands that you know, my dad and my
mom and everybody loved. And that was the incredible thing
watching this thing break down and the numbers again massive,
(01:45:54):
one point five billion peoples, almost half the world's population
was watching it at some point in time.
Speaker 10 (01:46:02):
To honor the anniversary, one UK radio station is actually
rebroadcasting the Live eight concert on Sunday ten hours special.
Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
Around the World, It's Time for Love.
Speaker 10 (01:46:12):
The concert is now also the subject of a new
BBC docu series, Live eight at forty, when Rock and
Roll took on the world, revisiting some of the show's
most iconic moments, some.
Speaker 11 (01:46:22):
Of the biggest and best known groups around the world,
taking part of the white not Ars.
Speaker 10 (01:46:30):
Freddy Mercury and Queen's twenty one minute set is the
stuff of legend, re enacted in the Oscar winning film
Folkmian Rhapsody. Before that, you Too Electrified, Wembley and Bono
went off stage and off script singing an eleven minute
version of back Just One Step in a musical marathon.
(01:46:56):
That showcased the power of music. And it was incredible.
And by the way, the.
Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
Freddie Mercury, if you've seen the movie, you think, was
it really that big? Was it really that incredible? This
is what Rolling Stone said about Queen. That's the magazine,
not the band. It was the single greatest live performance
in the history of rock. Bob Geldolf said it was
(01:47:27):
the perfect stage for Freddy the whole world and he
used it. The amount of money raised was pretty damn
big at the time. If you look at about five
hundred million compared to today, that is and it sounds weird,
that is nothing the realities. Band AID did twenty four million,
USA for Africa did sixty three million, Live eight one
hundred and twenty seven million. When you look at things
(01:47:48):
like the Haiti earthquake thirteen billion dollars globally, COVID through
their concerts about half a billion, and every one of
these for the most part, had issues. And that was
one of the big things about Live Aid. What kind
of issues were out there when they tried to get
the food to these people that were starving in Ethiopia.
(01:48:10):
And yes, there were some serious issues by the government
run by a lunatic Marxist SOB at the time. For
the most part, though it worked. It raised awareness, brought
us great music, and yes some of that stuff got diverted,
and not all of it was as perfect as we thought,
but it was about people trying to give that day
(01:48:32):
