(00:10):
Independent thoughts, independent life. Thisis Chad Benson guilty, just like Trump
guilty. Also like Trump, thecase that never should have been MSNBC earlier
today, panties in a wad, people freaking out, tears in their eyes,
I'm told verifying him guilty count two, the jury finds hunter By guilty

(00:38):
and on count three, which ispossession of the firearm by a drug user
or drug addict, guilty. HunterBiden has just been found guilty on all
of the counts against it. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty,
guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, should ever been.

(01:00):
I'll say that again, said itthroughout many shows. The frustrate. My
biggest issue with all of this stuff, and tell you this right now is
how it came to be not andwe'll get to how. You KNOWMSWC and
CBS is trying to spend it.But how when brought up the DJ and

(01:23):
others knew there were issues, butthey decided to let this thing essentially,
you know, go past it,sell by date and then not prosecute.
Then it became a big deal, and then they wanted to give a community.
It was crazy, crazy, Hell, yes, I'm pardoning my kid
one hundred percent. Somebody asked methat earlier, would you pardner your kid?

(01:47):
Hell to the freaking yes, Iwould. And as week closer and
closer to election time, all ofthese things is this is also a serious
issue. This is also a bigissue because what is stuper Biden? You
know, is it time to sayall right, we're done, I'm over,

(02:09):
I'm out, and you bounce?I don't know, I don't know.
But they asked today could there bejail time? Is it possible there'll
be jail time? And then Tom? Finally, as a former federal prosecutor,
do you think Hunter Biden will goto prison? I do? I
do. I think that the sentencehere is not going to be unduly severe.

(02:30):
This really is effectively a first timeoffender. I suspect that the judge
will look somewhat sympathetically on this case. I don't see this as a case
where the judge is going to belooking at an upper range of the sentence
and guidelines. My sense is thatthe likeliest outcome would be a sentence of
incarceration, but for a fairly limitedperiod. You know, we'd be talking

(02:50):
a year or two, not fiveor six. Yeah, I don't think
he should go to jail. I'mgoing to be honest with you. I
don't think he should go to jail. And I'm pardoning my kid. I
don't care what anybody says. Now, you could commute the sentence or whatever
it is. Whatever it is,should never see jail, I joked earlier
with a couple of people. Man, May Trump can share space, you
don't know. Oh shit, somepeople think he's going to jail. He's

(03:14):
a first time offender and he's nonviolent and not a threat. That's ridiculous,
house arrests for three months. Whatever. Still, I'm pardoning my kid,
especially if I lose. If Ilose, all bets are off.
And then Tom I referenced this earlier, and the President has not been asked

(03:36):
this or ruled this out. Butcould President Biden commute that sentence? Well,
he could, and I know hesaid at least he's not planning to
pardon Hunter Biden. But keep inmind that's a promise made in may or
June, and I suspect that theworld will change between now and November,
and President Biden may look at thingsvery differently come November. So although yes,

(03:58):
the idea of a pardon or akmmyeation is off the table right now.
I suspect it may come back witha vengeance after the election. Yeah,
as it should. He's your kid. You're gonna do what you can
for him. Every one of youlistening right now, unless you can't stand
your kid and you want to reallyteach him a lesson, would do the
same damn thing. Why because they'reyour kid. If I'm president of the
United States and my kid gets introuble because he's an idiot, and I

(04:21):
have a chance to help him out, Yeah, now, commuting the sentence
whatever, I mean, that's alwaysa possibility. But I love it.
Like he's he can't he can't.Well, of course he can't, So
he says in May November, afteryou lost the election, looks a whole
lot different. Looks absolutely a wholelot different. Oh yeah, I guess

(04:47):
you're right one percent. I'm right. It's just the reality of it.
I can't believe you'd pardon your kid. Of course you would. You dumb
as you'd pardon your kid too.People like the never put you would letus
you hate your kid, You're totallygonna pardon them. I love though,
listening to how this all started out. Now, remember how these things started

(05:11):
out. Let's go back, assomebody tweeted at me earlier, Oh the
justice system is rigged. Let's notforget that they wanted to let this case
go. They let the essentially thethe you know it, all of the
stuff expire, the Statute of Limitations. They wanted immunity for certain things,
and they wanted blame. Remember howthey tried to sneak all this stuff by.
So let's not forget when we talkabout, oh, justice worked.

(05:35):
It wasn't until justice was forced todo its job that it finally did what
it did. And I'm still noteven sure that this thing should ever have
been brought. But still welcome tothe new world of politics apparently. But
let's not forget how it started.I just think we have to remember too.
I mean, this is kind ofthe culmination of what is a really
bizarre series of events that started inwhat was initially and widely believed to be

(06:00):
propaganda and allegations are wrongdoing in Ukraineand dirty dealing by the president's son involving
the president. This was a verynarrow case that was ultimately brought had nothing
to do with President Biden. Itwas solely focused on that drug addiction,
that drug, you signing that formand then possessing that weapon for those eleven
days in October. And like Isaid, I mean, this is a

(06:21):
rare case to bring a standalone triala drug addict getting a gun in the
possessing a gun. But they doget brought and there has been jail time
into what Tom Debris said, Perhapsthere will be in this case, but
I do think going back he willhave grounds for appeal, potentially good grounds.
And there's a Supreme Court case rightnow we're waiting on that could provide

(06:43):
additional guidance on that as well.Yeah, and let me tell you guys,
and I said this earlier, thewhole thought process of your an attic,
Well, how long are you anattic? Depends you go to NA
right AA. You've got your addictions. They're always with you, So it's
a disease. It's never going anywhere. So and you know, yes,
she's right, most of the timethese things are brought. Why because most

(07:04):
of the time people are on drugs. Don't go fill out paperwork for a
gun. But I want you tolisten to her again, because she always
says, let's not forget how thisthing started. I just think we have
to remember too. I mean, this is kind of the culmination of what
is a really bizarre series of eventsthat started in what was initially and widely
believed to be Russian propaganda and allegationsare wrongdoing in Ukraine and dirty dealing by

(07:28):
the president's son involving the president. This was a very narrow case. He
did make a ton of money fromUkraine. He made a ton of money
from China. Trump was right aboutthat. They were looking into things and
they found something else, and thenthey found how they tried to hide it,
and the DOJ pushed it aside. So let's not forget how these things
began. It's the same kind ofthing with Trump in New York and the

(07:50):
Stormy Daniels slash hush money payment stuff. Not forget how these things started.
Yeah, they started because are usingthe opportunity to look into things and go
after people when they have a chance. Lawfair, and I'm sure the Democrats
are not thrilled by the fact thatthere's lawfair. And I'm sure if Biden

(08:11):
was honest with himself, he'd sayto himself, I just rather they didn't
go after Trump, and they wantto come after Hunter. I wish that
didn't happen, but it did.And the last here we are and listening
to them tell the stories on CBSand MSNBC as they paint the picture,

(08:35):
patting the picture. That's what it'sall about. Nor every presidential family is
part of the American family. That'sthe way it works. This is a
tragedy for the Biden family, precipitatedin large measure by the death of Bo
Biden. For eight years, theAttorney General of Delaware, not the favorite
son, but the more prominent ofthe two sons, Hunter, Biden's problems

(08:56):
began to spiral. That is aword that is usedtion therapy with some frequency.
After Bo's death, he simply couldnot grapple with it. He made
a ton of terrible decisions involving manymembers of the Biden family who had to
find their way in, through andout of this trial. That family drama
played out in a courtroom in wayswe have never seen before. It doesn't

(09:16):
make it any less painful for thenation or for the family. But the
verdict is now real and the consequenceswill apply. The consequences will apply yes,
I'm not taking I'm not reveling inany of this. Quite frankly,
it's annoying that are we having totalk about something like this, because no,

(09:37):
I don't think. I think ifhis name was Bob Smith, we
wouldn't be in this situation. We'dbe talking about this. But his name
wasn't His name was Hunter Biden, and alas here we are. Am I
thrilled by this? No, justlike Donald Trump would never have been brought
to court to face any of thosewhatever things that he faced, you know,
the thirty four different counts on theledger for the Stormy Daniels hush money

(10:01):
that also happened to influence an election, because everybody would never have happened if
he was somebody else would never havehappened. But it did. And here
we are. And I don't wantthis to be the new way we go,
but I have a feeling the opportunityto go after your quote unquote enemies.

(10:22):
And let's not forget these were simultaneous. This wasn't something that happened two
weeks ago after or a week agoafter Trump was convicted. This is stuff
that's gone on for a while thatthey were looking into you know, how
did Biden get so much money? All of these things were very fair questions
to ask and to look into. Was there dirty dealing? Was there some
of those things just frustrating as hell. I'll tell you what did you see?

(10:48):
Yesterday? Trump had to do oneof those phone calls with the parole
board. Is Donald Trump? Hehad to sit there and talk to them,
and they asked him question. She'slike, what are you gonna do
when you get out? If youhave to go to jail, that's your
financial situation. Do you have ahouse? How are you with cars?

(11:09):
Have you thought about employment? Thoseare all the things. Oh my goodness
me. Some of you were textingin with a laugh. Some of you
are like, you know, thiswouldn't have happened. Yes, none of
these things would have happened had theystayed away from politics and or had Joe
Biden never run, nobody'd cared, that's sad. Had Donald Trump went away

(11:37):
and said I'm never coming back. They had never looked into anything. But
this is, unfortunately the new worldwe live in. In Lawfair maybe the
new thing, and that isn't good. Three two, three, twenty four
to twenty three atch had been saidshow at your Twitter, your Instagram,
all of the other things. Alot of stuff to come up today.
Touch a little bit more about this. We'll have a lot more of it

(13:09):
Chad Benson Show. You're listening tothe Chat Benson Show. How do you
say when in Spanish quando what aboutyou tell quintus stories quintos? What about

(13:33):
how many quantos you count? Quinta? So how do you say when you
tell stories? Count how many storiesyou tell? Quando quintas quintos? Quinta
quantos, quintos quintes. Okay, that's somebody on TikTok learning Spanish and then
throwing things around to see what itsays. And if you had any idea

(13:56):
what they were saying. I speakingof TikTok, speaking of the Internet,
speaking of stuff. You're not goingto need to learn Spanish or any of
these things anymore, because AI isgoing to take care of it. Yesterday,
Apple big debut in the old AIworld, pulling the wraps off what
Apple is calling Apple Intelligence. AIwill be integrated into iPhones, iPads,

(14:18):
and mac computers, revealed by AppleCEO Tim Cook in a presentation for its
annual Developers Conference. It's personal intelligenceand it's the next big step for Apple.
He says. Apple Intelligence will beable to do things like rewrite an
email to make it friendlier, createpersonalized emojis and pictures, and Apple promises
it will be secure. She okay, settled down by the way AI for

(14:41):
the rest of us, alluding toApple's nineteen eighty slogan Macintosh a computer for
the rest of us. So incontrast, they say, to the current
chatbots of the world, which knowsabout the world but little about you,
and beyond what you tell them,Apple is building a context engine that understands
each customer and information and people thatmatters most to them. I feel like

(15:07):
it's taking our information and it's goingto manipulate us. Whoa between the lines
they say, it's a bold vision. So many people say, look,
Apple, they're not building the mostadvanced meta open AI, Google. They're
none of that stuff, right,Like, you know, this isn't that.

(15:28):
And people always talk about Apple takesthings that are out there in many
cases and they make them user friendly, easily digestible, and comfortable, as
well as fun and some unique stuffas well. That's kind of what this

(15:48):
is going to be. It's tryingto And I was talking to a couple
of yesterday, it feels like it'strying to build a friend for you.
They said, trust is where Applehas the real edge. The Apple Intelligent
Vision relies on access to copious amountsof personal data. The company can draw
on a reputation for privacy that hasbeen spent fostering this amazing privacy for over

(16:12):
a decade. So I don't knowhow this is going to go. So
it is going to it's going tobe interesting, But it feels like it's
trying to build you a friend,a pal. That makes sense. Three
two, three, five, threeeight, twenty four to twenty three at
Chad Benson Show is your Twitter tweetat as text the program. I know

(16:32):
Elon's not thrilled by it. Andlast night he he joked about people not
not so much the joke about whetheror not you know this iOS eighteen and
running on this system, what's thedata data thing going to be like?
Because he doesn't trust the privacy, which I totally get. But then he
puts something out about would you buya Tesla phone and I thought, uh

(16:53):
oh, But then he said youget free Starlink and I thought, oh,
that's interesting because I use Starlink andit's amazing, so it'll be interesting
to see. This is the battleright now, the the battle not just
in the private sector, the publicsector and the military sector. It's all

(17:15):
about AI. That's what this isall about today. AI is the most
important thing. It is the buzzwordthree two, three, five, four
twenty three at Chad Benson Show's YourTwitter, Vinsity Show, Podcast, Chad
Benson Show, Such Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life, This

(18:02):
is Chad Benson. Week after week, gas prices have been coming down,
now seventeen cents cheaper than at thistime last year. According to new data
out from the Energy Department. Theaverage price is down nine cents in just
the past week. The Gulf Coastis back under three dollars a gallon at
two ninety five a gallon for regularunleaded. Prices have gone down as gas
demand has declined and oil prices havebeen lower. Thank god, I'll have

(18:26):
a bit of that, won't you. And I know some of you out
there is like, no, Iwant gas prices to stay high because I
want my team to win. Myteam is America. I'm Team America,
World Police. I want gas pricesto be low. I want inflation to
be gone. I want economy toogreat. I don't care if it's an
RD beside it. Sorry, Iknow a lot of people do. It

(18:48):
matters to them more than anything else. To me, what matters is strong
economy, a good economy, aconfident economy. And yes, that includes
gas prices than they got for thedrop, because we are still seeing weak
demand for gasoline and that, coupledwith lower cruit oil prices, is actually
bringing pump prices down all across thecountry, which is awesome. But you

(19:14):
kind of we get the ebbs andflows right because right before Memorial Day spikes,
then it kind of you know, goes through July fourth. We might
see a little bit of bump andthen back down, and then as we
head towards Labor Day, we'll seeanother spike and then back down after that.
That's kind of what we get.And then of course part of that
has to do with the consumption, because we're gonna be driving or doing certain

(19:36):
things, especially as we get towardsthe final quote unquote throngs of summer,
the big throw of this is whatwe're gonna do. We're gonna travel and
have fun as a family and ohmy god, it's gonna be great,
and we're gonna drive to Grandma's houseand summer's over. But then we'll change
over from summer to winter blend becausethat you have to. And then let's
not forget the hurricanes, things goingoffline and stuff like that that causes bumps

(20:02):
in you know, prices. Thepump price is right now, the national
average is about fourteen cents less pergallon than what we were paying last year
at this time. That's a win. Can we get it a dollar less?
Is that possible? More and morestates will start to see that gas
pump average moved below the three dollarsper gallon mark, most likely in the

(20:23):
coming weeks. Sign me up,please, sign me up. Please,
I'll have a bit of that moremore, more, Thank you very much.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at she had Benson shows yourTwitter tweet at us text to program who
doesn't want that? I know there'speople out there that that live in and

(20:45):
this is the problem with our politicstoday. Everything is personal. It's all
personal, like if my team doesn'twin, it's it's somehow reflection on me.
And I continue to say this. The only team should have is red,
white, and Blue America, period, case closed, end of story.
That's the only team you should have. We don't do that anymore.

(21:06):
And I've told you the story before. You know, my mom and I've
talked about this when when Nixon wasin peace eventually resigned when all that,
you know, when it looked likehe was done and dusted and stuff.
And the weird thing that, youknow, my mom and I because we
discussed a lot of this stuff becauseshe'll ask me stuff about Trump all the
time, and you know, Iget that she says, you know,

(21:30):
we didn't take it personal, likehe did something stupid, he paid the
price for it, and nobody elsecame after, you know, instead of
your guy did this, or yourguy It wasn't like that. But in
today's world, and I see itwith the text messages, I get it
is us versus them, and that'sa sad situation for us to be and

(21:52):
that is not a healthy place forus to be in speaking of us,
versus them. What the hell's goingon over there and and in Palestine and
Israel? Do you guys hear aboutthis kerfuffle? Oh, we got some
good stuff to play from this. But first of all, hows that negotiation
going? Secretary of State Anthony Blincolntraveling in the Middle East asking allied countries
to pressure Hamas to accept a ceasefireproposal. In agreement, he says,

(22:15):
Israel has already accepted. The onlyparty that has not accepted, the only
party that's not said yes, Isamas. The US is considering a new strategy
to try to free eight Americans stillheld hostage in Gaza. The Biden administration
reportedly considering direct negotiations with Hamas, talks that would not include Israel. Ooh,

(22:36):
I thought we don't negotiate with Terras. Well, apparently we're going to
negotiate with Terras. And inside ofour own government we have people that will
do anything not to condemn Hamas orOctober seventh, This is Jabal Jamal Bowman.
You guys might remember him as theperson who couldn't find his way around

(22:56):
certain things to vote. So whatdid he do? He pulled the fire
alarm, talking about why he's notvoting for certain resolution. So there was
no way in the world, especiallybased on what I've learned over the last
few years in Congress, that Iwas gonna support what Israel was doing right
now. And when the ceasefire resolutioncame to my desk, you know,

(23:18):
led by my sister's Corey Bush andorshid t Lee, of course I signed
on as an original co sponsor becausethe other resolution that they were pushing was
a complete apack written resolution and oneof the first lines was, you know,
condemn Hamas for this unprovoked attack. And I stopped reading at that point.

(23:38):
Of course you did. You stoppedreading at that point because hey,
it's apartheid, and we got abunch of other people on the left side
of the aisle that said this anddon't like the Jews. So and you
know what, as far as he'sconcerned, you can listen to it.
He wants to justify without justifying whattook place in October seventh, kind of

(23:59):
like, well, to see theirpoint the you know, I mean,
they shouldn't do that, but stillI kind of see their point. If
we're calling this an unprovoked attack, that means we're going to ignore eighteen human
rights organization calling Israel and apartheid state, and we're going to ignore seventy five
years of military occupation which is illegal, or seven hundred thousand settlers expanding into
the West Bank, which is alsoelite. Now, I am not justifying
the killing of civilians by HAMASO onOctober seventh. There's no justification. It's

(24:22):
just an explanation of what the circumstanceswere that led to October seventh. And
I believe then and I believe now. If you want to end extremism,
we need a free Palestine. Sodon't talk to me about, you know,
two state solution where we're not doinganything to build a Palestinian state.

(24:44):
Well, what do you think atwo state solution would be? I've explained
it to you. And by theway, how many times have been offered
eleven? Is it eleven times? They've been offered a two state solution eleven
times? Eleven and it's always beenNena. And over the weekend, I
mean the raid because I'm see inthe videos today and they're just crazy.
But if you didn't follow any ofthis over the weekend, as they saved,

(25:07):
you know, four of their hostageswho you know, the media is
like, well, you know theywere going to release them, and then
you know, Israel came in andkilled a whole bunch of people because you
know, that's what they That's theway they came at this. That's the
insanity of the way that the Westernmedia came at this. The cost of
Israel's mission to save four hostages highlightedby Gaza's health ministry. It claims two

(25:30):
hundred and seventy four Palestinians were killedanother almost seven hundred injured. Numbers CBC
News can't verify. The rescue operationmarks the deadliest day of the war in
six months, at least two hundredand seventy four people killed, hundreds more
injured. According to Gosen health officials. The initial response, obviously in Israel
is joy and celebration at the releaseof four hostages have been there for eight

(25:53):
months, but the loss of lifeincurred in doing that is something that I
I think is horrifying. F Off, they weren't released Chad. They killed
a doctor and a journalist. Nothey didn't. They killed terrorists, but
there were doctor and journalists. Ifyou're stashing people and hiding people, that

(26:21):
harmas is kidnapped, You're part ofthe problem. Then you got the world's
worst question, maybe ever from aBBC anchor. I want you to listen
to this. It is appearing tobe a high civilian death toll. Would
there have been a warning to thosecivilians for them to get out on time?

(26:45):
Of course, we cannot anticipate Israelto be warning ahead of a raid
to extract or to save hostages, because then what the terrorists would do is
to kill the hostagests, and thatwould defeat the purpose. I would have
said, are you just really askedme that? Did you? Did you?

(27:07):
Did you drop any leaflets? Didyou do anything like that? Did
you did you what did you do? No? No, did nothing like
that. It's a surprise. Hey, we're gonna get ben Laden. We
know where he's at. Call himup, Tell his family we're coming,
Tell the neighbors were coming, anduh, we'll be there in a little

(27:29):
bit. Wow, this is whynobody trust journalists. Western journalists pushing all
this and this. Oh my god, they killed a journal They didn't kill
a journalist. Dude, You stopbeing a journalist the minute you got in
bed with them, The minute yougot in bed with Hamas the minute you
decided to harbor harmas and keep theirprisoners, you stop being a journalist and

(27:56):
you started being a participant. Threetwo three, five, three, eight,

so politically leftist, Oh right,it's because they're those are theater kids.
They're the theater kids who grew upand now they're telling me and you what
to think. They're telling me andyou what to do, and they're making
the laws in this country. Well, it's time to stand the fuck up

(31:10):
and stop being scared, Like, why are we scared? Of these people.
There were massive losers in high school, and they're massive losers today.
It's time to put the nerds backin their place. Stand the fuck up.
Okay, those damn nerds. Hollywood'sgot a lot of issues right now.
I think they're trying to get outof some of the wokeness. But
Disney's not case in point. SplashMountain no more because of the zippity dudah

(31:33):
write songs of the South. They'veupdated it for more modern time. A
lucky few are getting the chance toexperience a new Disney ride focusing on the
company's first black princess. The rideis inspired by the movie The Princess and
the Frog and its heroine. Certaingroups like employees and annual pass holders,
are previewing the ride at disney World, which will open to the public at

(31:55):
the end of June. The themereplaces the Splash Mountain ride based on character
from Song to the South, whichhas been widely criticized for its stereotypical portrayals
of black people. Yes, theyso they got rid of the songs in
South. And if you don't knowwhat that is, it's a little bit
of it. And we'll talk abit about where that can still be heard.

(32:15):
So they've changed it all up.Now gone with the Princess and the
Frog. In twenty twenty, Disneyannounced the ride would be rethmed. The
company spent the next four years researchingand developing the new concept. The ride
story takes place after the plot ofThe Princess and the Frog ends. The
attraction includes new music, forty eightnew audio, animatronic figures, more than

(32:37):
two thousand fireflies, and a fiftyfoot drop. Disney expects to open Tiana's
By You Adventure at Disneyland later thisyear. All right, so they can
open that later. So right nowit's opening a couple places. But this
is kind of interesting. I justwant you guys to listen to this,
so you're going to be inspired. You're a young black entrepreneur. If there

(32:57):
is a black young woman, it'sa business, it is now like in
a story where she's involving her communitycan do all of this. Imagine how
much farther we can go beyond thisas far as positive representation. I'm not
like what I've been on splash Mountone thousand times. I didn't really think

(33:19):
about it, and maybe I shouldhave. Maybe I should have thought why
this is why. Wait, thisis crazy. It's part of the culture
wars. Disney's lost the plot. Now, look, you can look at
songs in the South. Let's bereal, absolutely a lot of issues with
that looking at today's sensibility, right, not back then. By the way,
James Basket who Uncle Remus is,who he played, That's what he

(33:45):
was maybe most famous for. Hegot an Honorary Academy Award in nineteen forty
eight. He's what he is sayingis zippity DooDah. Listen to that zip

(34:16):
bitty do dazi by day. Youknow where you can still hear that?
Japan? Why is that? BecauseJapan's like, that's a U issue.
We're not changing it. People loveit here. That's a U issue.
They're like, well, you guyshave to change it. And they're like,
no, it's the Jeopanese now.Yeah. But but but in America,

(34:39):
well this isn't America, this isJapan. But the whole thing was
slavery. Again, that's a Uproblem, that's not a US problem.
People like the Zibity do do zibityday. So culture war is still going
on. Do you remember the firstone that took place at Disneyland the culture
thing when they got rid of Ifyou've ever been to Disneyland, oh boy,

(35:00):
I have. I don't know howmany times. I hate saying how
many times have been there. Iwould say close to five hundred to one
thousand. Who knows how many?Just a lot. But when they got
rid of the pirates chasing the womenbecause of rape culture, and I thought,
really, that's what we're doing.It's like, it's it's it's it's

(35:23):
first of all, it's pirates.Secondly, do you have to think that
hard? I mean, yes,you do, apparently, Like I the
entire time I went and saw PiratesScribean and I've been on a thousand times,
I never once thought that's rape cultureright there. But I don't know

(35:45):
how people live their lives. Iguess if you're always looking to be offended,
and you go into a world whereyou're doing everything you can to make
sure you do not offend people, you're going to find that you have entertainment
that isn't entertaining. Three two, three, five, twenty four to twenty
three At Chad Benson Show's your Twittertweet at as texta program A lot of
stuff still to get to more onIsrael and the Western media is insanity over

(36:07):
the weekend. Just so much stuffto get to in the next hour.
Don't you go anywhere, kids, because if you do, shame. It
is the Chad Benson Chat. Thisis the Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts,

(36:45):
Independent life. This is Chad Benson. Well, the Democrats are doing
everything they can to destroy Scotis becauseit's evil. The latest the recording,
So let's think about this. Alito, Judge Alito whie flew a flag upside
down some three years ago, butthen Roe V. Wade went away because

(37:07):
of the Dobbs decisions. So automaticallywe've got to get rid of him and
do everything we can't. Clarence Thomasevil bad uncle Tom as they like to
call, not me. I justlook at him as a conservative dude.
It's what he is. Today. We got to put, you know,
labels on everything, so they're cominghard for the folks at Scotus if you're

(37:31):
on the right side of the aisle. Lauren Windsor says she recorded Chief Justice
John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito ata charity event last week. Posing as
a Catholic conservative. Alito is heardtelling Windsor because there are differences on fundamental
things that really can't be common onUS. Roberts pushes back when Windsor said
the Supreme Court should be guiding theUS as a Christian nation. I don't

(37:54):
know that we live in a Christianinivation. I know a lot of Jewish
and Muslim friends who would say, maybe the charity release a statement condemning the
serotipitous recording of justices at the event, which is inconsistent with the entire spirit
of the evening. Yeah, ifif the questions were so leading and so
ridiculous, it was hilarious. Here'ssome of the audio. Should we get

(38:21):
back to a godly country? Iwould like to think so, But doesn't
mean we need to be to divide, you know, led in that way.
Think when you have God, thingsare good. Doesn't mean if you
don't believe in God the you're nota good person. I'm just thinking as
a country understanding a lot of thesethings. Yeah, that's a good thing.
That being said, these questions werelike, so, the laughter are

(38:45):
crazy. Right outside of holding amicrophone. It was almost it was like
watching a comedy where the people wereundercover and they were asking questions ridiculous.
It was just so so stupid whatI'd asked you about about the polarization in

(39:07):
this country, about like how tobe prepared at risk a Catholic and as
someone who like really cherishes my fain. I don't know that we can negotiate
for the last and the way thatit needs to happen for the polarization to
d I think it is a matterof like winning. I think one side

(39:29):
or the other, one side orthe other is going to win. Yeah,
okay, that's on one side ofthe other is going to win.
We're talking about the cultural issues.Continue. There can be a way of
living together a peaceful lady. Boy. It's difficult, you know, because
there are differences on fundamental things thatreally can't be It's not like you're going
to sweat the difference. Oh ohthere you go, Samuelido, bad guy,

(39:54):
super horrible guy. They're coming foryou, sam I think that the
solution really is like winning the moralargument. Like people in this country who
believe in God have got to keepfighting for that to return our country to
a place of a body days.Oh wait, you have faith and you

(40:15):
believe, Oh this is all thisis groundbreaking earth shatteringly to blame the media,
but I do blame her, Andso they have really wrote in trusts
in the I don't know, Imean ordinary people, ordinary Americans. So
this citizen in general need to workon this to try to heal this whole

(40:40):
larization. Wow, God, allof that just they got him. He
believes in God would like to seea godly country understands that probably one side's
going to win or the other inthis cultural battle, and that the media
plays a part in you know thisto Oh, my day, just roasted

(41:00):
him. I don't even know. Can he still walk? Is it?
I mean? Is he gonna istoday? Today? Is he done?
Is he dusted? Is it over? They are so obsessed and think about
this. You know, we talkabout like they got a rite with Trump
and the jury and justice is prevailing. We'rena talk a bit about Hunter here.
It coming up a little bit.But oh oh, when it comes

(41:21):
to that evil Scotus, you can'tbelieve any of that crap. They're all
evil, They're all biased, justnuts coming hard, though, aren't they?
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three At Chad Benson Show's your Twitter. She's popular I tell you that right
now people tune into the games whennobody else ever did. Also reminds everybody

(41:45):
that women's basketball is not very excitingto watch, which is probably not good
either. I tell my wife lastnight, you know what Kaylin Clark's done
for the WNBA. Remind everybody thatthe WNBA isn't that good. That's not
very nice. But she's off theOlympic team because you've never seen a group
of people piss away more opportunities, whether it be the Olympics or the WNBA,

(42:06):
to try to draw eyeballs to asport. Caitlin Clarks as US basketball
officials called her directly to tell hershe had not made the team. Some
speculate lack of experience. Insiders tellABC News contributor Christine Brennan there may be
another reason for the snub they werehearing. One of the sticking points for
Caitlyn Clark was that there was concernabout her immense fan base being unhappy that

(42:31):
she was only getting a few minutesof playing time. Many analysts call the
decision a missed opportunity for Team USA. You think, you think, sweet
mother of God, you guys, whether it's the WNBA or the Olympics.
It would have been massive, right. We only pay attention to certain in

(42:53):
particular, a lot of women's sports, Women's World Cup, will watch the
the Olympics, the gymnastics, stufflike that. We don't care about any
when's the last time, it's likeAugust, two years away from the Olympics,
You're like, we got to gethome because the US Women's Gymnastics Championship.

(43:15):
You don't care. We're gonna watchthese women. This is the chance
to grow the sport, and youpissed it away. I was watching yesterday.
Colin Cowherd said it, and Iremember you because you know, is
she one of the best basketball playerson the planet as far as you know
WNBA American players. You can makethe argument she could have been on the

(43:37):
bench. She could have been Youcan make that argument, no problem.
And then he talked about the factthat Christian Later was on the Dream Team,
Christian Later having played an NBA game. It's coming out of Duke,
but it brings eyeballs. I remembernineteen ninety four, little side note here
went to the World Cup. Sawa lot of games right here in the

(43:59):
United States America. You're hosting itagain in two years, they had a
kid who just turned sixteen playing forBrazil. His name was Ronaldo, the
original Ronaldo. See you know, you know everybody's like Christiano Ronaldo is c
R seven. This was C nineand I mean R nine and R nine

(44:20):
was was amazing, but he wassixteen. But they wanted him to have
the experience and they knew eyeballs wouldbe watching and he would be a big
deal. Never saw the field. They won the World Cup, he got
a medal. Never saw the field, but the amount of exposure and stuff
was huge. Who's this kid? What's he all about? Oh my god,
it's the next Peley. You hada chance to do something here and

(44:45):
you pissed it away because you're Caddy. Women's basketball got on my radar like
everybody's because of Caitlin Clark and theother girls in the league are delighted for
her success. I'm joking. Theyhater and they've been They take if we're
getting body checked. This is agame the other day and she, I
mean that was pretty deliberate. Andlook at the other girl on her team

(45:07):
coming over. Not see if thiswas men. They defend each other on
their same team. I mean menwill fight from two teams, but when
somebody checks you on who's on yourteam, you defend that guy. I'm
just saying men have their bad parts, we're toxic, we're dogs. But
only women would do this. Womenor Katy, even the ones on her

(45:29):
own team. Matt Barnes, hesaid, my question and my issue is
where her teammates at. I've seena couple of girls smirk when she's gotten
knocked down, half asked to pickher up. You guys are supposed to
be a family. It's your guysjob to have her back and have each
other's back. Yeah, and youdidn't, and you didn't and you had
a missed opportunity. What would thenumbers have been like if Caitlin Clark was

(45:52):
playing in the Olympics And look, national teams in many cases are very polite
that aside, your goal is togrow the sport on top of everything else.
We haven't lost again. I don'tknow if that women have ever lost
a game in the Olympics, SoI'm not going to lose a game this
time. So bringing her wasn't goingto mess up the chemistry. But if

(46:19):
growth is what you care about, and all I hear is bitching, whining
and moaning from women's sports about howit's not equal. Now we don't get
this, and now we don't getthat, and you don't want to grow
it. That's a damn you problemwhen you won't grab the thing in front
of you that is going to giveyou the opportunities, the benefit that many
of these women who probably don't wanther on the team could have had they

(46:42):
didn't want. Ridiculous power in theplatform of the Olympic Games is unlike anything
else in the world, and theopportunity to grow the game, The dream
team, the men's Dream Team nineteenninety two Barcelona, change the face of
basketball around the world. Caitlin Clarkis the one person who could have done
that USA and number twenty two onan Olympic basketball court, and the eyeballs

(47:05):
would have been as extraordinary the recordsetting TV ratings, just like they've been
it both in college and now pro. She is a magnet for all the
headlines, all the attention. Ever, teammates would have gotten the attention that
they deserve. They're usually ignored atthe Olympics, and all of this is
an opportunity to completely missed by thisdecision. Yeah, smart move, guys,

(47:25):
well done. I want to hearany more bitching about it. And
like I said, I think theworst thing is it's brought more eyeballs to
it and people watching over that's awful. It's just not a good product.
It is. It is not agood product, just not very nice yet.
I'm just being real. You knowit, and I know it.
When you've got the NBA, whichI'm not watching that either. Not a

(47:47):
basketball fan, I'm not. Idon't dislike basketball. I'm just saying it's
not my jam. But have Ituned in to see what the crowds are
like? Yeah, it's interesting. And when you got fifty five hundred coming
to a Connecticut basketball game and seventeenthousand showing up to watch Indiana, the

(48:07):
worst team in the league play becauseof her, Yeah, I think it's
a missed opportunity. Petty. Indeed, you guys are gonna petty your ass
right out of business. Three two, three, five, three eight,

It's a Chad Benson Joe. You'relistening to the Chadbnson Show. The

(50:01):
jury verifying him guilty count two,the jury finds hunter By guilty and on
count three, which is possession ofthe firearm by a drug user or drug
addict, guilty. Hunter Biden hasjust been found guilty on all three of

(50:21):
the counts against it. Guilty partdisass you know, he's telling them that,
look, you're never going to goto jail, We're going to pardon
you. That's never going to happen. You're my son. I'm not going
to let that happen. But Ican't be seen as somebody showing favoritism from
a political perspective. This is aclash of the legal system and political calculations.

(50:45):
And everyone will see that, andthe President will be under tremendous political
pressure not to intervene in any way, to say the law applies equally,
and to live by that in formerPresident Trump's case, but also intimately so
possibly heartbreakingly so in the case ofhis son. Absolutely, it's got to
be devastated. He's got to lookat a sun today and say, see
knows so long there's nine. That'sexactly what he's going to say. And

(51:09):
the hunter is going to go,are you on drugs? I feel like
you should be on drugs? TuPODNo, not to pod. Not just
the question. Now it's no question, my kid, I'm pardoning. You
can't believe you do that. Iwould one do that. And it's again,
is he going to go to jail? That's the big thing. Is
there going to be jail time?Earlier today on CBS and then Tom Finally,

(51:31):
as a former federal prosecutor, doyou think Hunter Biden will go to
prison? I do. I do. I think that the sentence here is
not going to be unduly severe. This really is effectively a first time offender.
I suspect that the judge will looksomewhat sympathetically on this case. I
don't see this as a case wherethe judge is going to be looking at

(51:51):
an upper range of the sentence andguidelines. My sense is that the likeliest
outcome would be a sentence of incarceration, but for a fairly limited peer,
you know, would be talking ayear or two, not five or six.
Yeah, he's not going to jail. That's the stupidest thing in the
world, Terry Moran. These arecrimes that carry very heavy prison sentences ten
years each for the false statement andfive years for the illegal possession of the

(52:15):
weapon. Now that is highly unlikelyto be applied to Hunter Biden anything like
that in this case. Experts tellus that for a first defender like him,
someone who did not use the gunat all, He just kind of
bought it and stuck it in hiscar. There's no evidence that he was
going to use it in any kindof a crime. It would be highly
unlikely for Hunter Biden to see prisontime. Trump is probably thinking, how

(52:37):
do you know, I think hewas going to use it in the crime.
I think he concealed all of thisinformation so he could then use it
in the crime. Down the road, pardon to pardoner, not to pardon
one. Hunumber sent pardon and thenTom I referenced this earlier, and the

(52:57):
President has not been asked this orthis out. But could President Biden commute
that sentence? Well, he could, and I know he said at least
he's not planning to pardon Hunter Biden. But keep in mind that's a promise
made in May and or June. And I suspect that the world will change
between now and November, and PresidentBiden may look at things very differently come

(53:20):
November. So, although yes,the idea of a pardon or a commutation
is off the table right now,I suspect it may come back with a
vengeance after the election. Yeah,it depends on what the election looks like.
Right, do you drop out?I'm sure those are going to be
questions asked, it's too much ofmy family, et cetera, et cetera.
I don't know. I don't know. Let's ask the president what do
you think, sir? She knowsso long as nine exactly exactly what I

(53:46):
was thinking. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad BensonShow. Is your Twitter? That is
your Hunter Biden update. Maybe we'lldo some more next hour. I don't
know. There's that other stuff totalk about. Should we do that.
Let's shall we had Benson show suchChad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent

(54:34):
life. This is Chad Benson.Trump had to do a phone call probation
officer because he's a valid because ofthe thing, what thing, you know,
the thing where he where he paida person who paid somebody else and
then wrote it down as legal expensesrather than ho pay off hoe. They

(55:00):
didn't have that in the line boxedthe check. It's not very nice,
Jet. It's kind of what shewas. She's an artist. She's not,
she never was. But they spoke, Oh my god. The world
we live in. Former President DonaldTrump taking his next step as a convicted
criminal, meeting for the first timewith a probation officer before he's sentenced next
month. The purpose of this meeting, which was conducted remotely Trump at his

(55:22):
Mara Alago estate, is to helpthe officer prepare a report with a sentencing
recommendation for Judge Jan Rashaan. Trumpwas found guilty of thirty four counts of
falsifying business records to cover up ahush money payment to porn stars Stormy Daniels.
Oh, that is again, hushmoney is not illegal. Understand that

(55:42):
hush money sh not illegal, butChad, it was because he was going
to do another crime. What wasthe other crime? It was to influence
the election? Okay, I wanteverybody's play this to meet. Maybe I'm
not getting it. Don't they allwant to influence the election? Yeah?
Don't they all want to try tokeep some stuff? Yeah? Two consending

(56:07):
adults. Well, Chat, itwas the way that he marked it on
the ledger, I know, becausethey don't have hoe on the legend pay
the hoe. They don't have that. Okay. It was like legal expenses.
Okay, but then because of that, the thing with the election.
Okay, I'm just trying to figureit all out. I'm trying to still
put it together. I've asked manyof you Democrats out there who really are

(56:28):
excited about this to text me threetwo three five three eight twenty four twenty
three three two three five three eightChad, exactly what the second crime was.
And it's been awfully quiet. Noword on what Trump told the probation
officer today, but her report tothe judge must include Trump's own description of
his crime, whether he accepts responsibility, and anything he wants to say about

(56:50):
why he did it. Unlike mostconvicts, Trump was allowed to have an
attorney with him for today's interview, which is generally intended to provide the judge
for a more rounded picture of theperson about to be sentenced, luting their
personal, financial and professional history. How weird was that call? Do you
have any future plans as far asemployment? The president of the United States?
What's your financial situation? A couplebillion dollars? I heard you had

(57:15):
problem with your housing. Yes,the judge in New York says, it's
worth eighty three hundred dollars. Thehouse next door that is a tenth the
size is worth forty one gazillion dollars. But you see where I'm going with
this, Yes, of course,of course we do so insane speaking of
insane crime, see the way wepivoted from there because he's a fallon.

(57:39):
This is nuts. This is amanager who'd had enough of crime. But
he just you know, grinden Bertshut up, whatever it is, what
it is. But then it gottoo much because there was an assault and
he said, no, new notgonna happen. What I saw was he
took a swing up a punch ather. That's what Pat Geiter says.

(58:02):
He saw inside the big lotch storethat he used to manage it. Ironicqoit,
and that's why you followed the shoplifterout of the store. I let
people whose shoplifts leave the store everyday. Every day. We just put
it in the system that they askus to do. This was an assault.
This wasn't shoplifting. This was anassault. Despite twenty years with the

(58:23):
company and a positive review in March, the company did not see it the
way Geiter did, and two weeksafter the incident, Geiter says he was
called to his district manager's office andfired WHOA, because I just want to
go over this again. You're managinga big lot store, which I'm sure
with your dream when you're a kidgrowing up, you're like, one day,

(58:45):
I want to manage a big Lots. You can do it, and
you have to allow people to walkout with crap all the time because that's
the world we live in now.Yeah, go on and take it.
But then one of your employees asassaulted and you said, I've got it
off, not doing this anymore, and then well then you know you can't

(59:08):
do that. This is not thefirst retail store manager fire it over a
shoplifting incident. It's not even thefirst Big Lots manager fire it over shoplifting.
Just google it and you'll find thestory of the manager at the store
in California. Do you think youdid the right thing? I think I
did the right and just thing, the right and just thing. But this
poster in the Big Lots lunchroom says, never leave the store to pursue,

(59:31):
detain, or identify a customer.I did not put myself in jeopardy.
I did not put any shoppers injeopardy. No, sorry, how dare
you? What are you supposed todo at that point in time? So,
if I'm in a store and I'mmanaging a store, right and somebody
attacks one of my coworkers or myemployees, am I just supposed to allow

(59:57):
that to happen? Is that?Is this the new world we live in
now? You must allow it tohappen. So you follow HR's instructions to
allow bad things to happen to yourstore and employees. That's the HR's diversity,
equity, inclusion, and ass whooping. So here's the poster in the
lunch room at the Big Lots warningthem don't follow shoplifters don't do anything about

(01:00:22):
shoplifters. One of the things Igot paded into this situation is that he
actually followed some of the company rules. He reported what happened and what he
did to the office that deals withtheft, and two weeks later he was
gone. Now Guider and his wifeare trying to figure out how to get
health insurance. They still have twoboys in college, and at sixty two,
guy there's not sure how easy itwill be to find another job.

(01:00:44):
Everything will work out, it's justit's gonna be difficult. It's gonna be
difficult. Yeah, that guy needsa little help there. Just get yourself
a GoFundMe talk about big lots notbeing big cool. Crime is an issue
I saw today that I you know, FBI's reporting crime is down, especially
violent crime. Some area is violentcrime is absolutely done. In some bigger

(01:01:06):
cities, violent crime is up,But crime as a whole is up.
If you look at with your eyeballs, what crime is like somebody steals something
from your car, breaks into it, steals all your stuff, and you
go, I'm just gonna file aninsidant report and they don't even log that

(01:01:27):
as crime. Well, that's frustrating. Don't you think if you're at the
point now where you're like, oh, we're gonna let people walk out of
here with that stuff, that's crime. The last time I checked that was
crime. Haven't you wanted to tryit though, just to see. So
go to a big city and you'rein there and go, you know what,
I'm gonna steal some crap. Justwalk out of here and see what

(01:01:51):
they do. No, I mean, wouldn't I mean just to piss them
off, say hey, look andthen they come back and go the fact
that you let me did that? What did it say? Oh my god?
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson Show isyour Twitter tweet as texta program? Meanwhile,

(01:02:12):
at the border out of the SanDiego metropolitan and all week and long,
our crews have seen a consistent flowof illegal immigration here into this area,
and just a few days ago,President Biden addressed the nation promising that
he would end the flow of alegal migration into the country and those who
try will be punished. However,a new memo obtained by Fox News indicates

(01:02:32):
that the order being given to borderpatrol agents here on the ground is contradictory
to what President Biden promised the nation. The memo instructs agents to continue mass
releasing single adult migrants into the UnitedStates from all but six countries in the
Eastern Hemisphere. Oh okay, waitwait wait wait wait wait wait, you

(01:02:54):
did what, You signed an executiveorder, and then you're telling them ignore
the executive order, and then you'retelling everybody else you need more powers.
I'm trying to figure this out here. I'm trying to wrap my head around
because all these people out there whoare like, oh, you just don't
understand, Chad. It was allthe Republicans fault is all this and the

(01:03:16):
politics is very real. Let's notpretend that it's not for those of you
out there. But it goes backto the fact that I tell you all
the time, the Enforcement arm isthe executive branch, and the executive branch
is telling everybody, hey, Isigned this executive order. Now check your
emails to find out how you dealwith this. Those countries are Russia,

(01:03:38):
Georgia, whoz Pekistan, Tajikistan,Moldolva, and Kizikhstan. Meaning all the
migrants we are seeing in real timecoming from China, Egypt, countries in
Africa, they are being released. The internal memo reads, in part,
border patrol agents are ordered to referto ice single adults from hard or very
hard to remove countries. Those arethe all other migrants are processed and released

(01:04:02):
with a notice to appear on theirown recognizance. Oh I see wow.
So more tools and the tool belt? How would that help this? Out
of curiosity? So you've told everybodythat we're gonna do this because we have
to, because the polls are tellingus we have to. And at the

(01:04:25):
same time, you're telling them whilewe're doing this, do what you used
to do. We've been talking tomigrants from all over the world arriving here
into the San Diego sector. Italked to one man from Turkey. Here's
what he had to say. Whatdo you think of President Biden? Biden?
I love Widen. Why do youlove Biden? Because Biden? Well,

(01:04:46):
why do you love them? Bidenhelped us? Yeah, sure,
Gobba gobbabba, goubble, gobble gobble. That guy's from Turkey. Yeah,
that's not the way they talk.Three two, three, five, three

Deep States, No Deep Doo DooEye the Chat Benson Show. But everyone
is finally canceling Dylan mulvaney. Finallyhave been trying to tell you guys about
this person for the longest time.Everyone is calling Dylan movny a massive hypocrite.
Now by no finding it very suspiciousthat this woman right here has grown

(01:07:02):
her entire account based off of promotingwomen's rights, fame, the significance of
women, how important women are forher, and of course recognizing the struggles
that women have to go through ona day to day basis. She's actually
one I swear Women of the Yearfor this. However, when it comes
to speaking about the women in Palestinewho are having to use tense scraps because
their periods are coming, or thewomen in Congo who are aggressively and systematically

(01:07:24):
getting grapes, she's quiet yes,of course she is, because she is
a penis and she's a man.Chat that is not very nice. I
mean, it's honest, it is, but it's not very Again, I'm
not I'm just being honest with youguys. I'm with me together. I
know. No, I think I'mgonna pass on that. I appreciate that

(01:07:45):
this person's not done. You taketo TikTok in today's world, and it's
gonna go everywhere. She's quiet, she's silent. It's crickets. Even people
are recognizing that it's women that gotthis woman to this place to begin with.
But however, when it comes toaddressing issues that affects women within the
diaspora, she's convenient. Any quiet. Yeah, everyone is finally canceling Dylan
mulvaney. Yep, canceled. IsAre they really canceling Dylan? No?

(01:08:10):
No, I think people see throughit. I've said it all along.
It's a failed actor that's now playingan actress, playing a part. That's
what you are. You're playing apart. It is what you are.
Dylan, and the old Queers forPalestine things still makes me laugh. All
of that. Did you see thosekids? Was it Canada? Where the
little Muslim kids, they you know, with their family because it's Pride month

(01:08:33):
everywhere, as we all know, because of the rainbow, be the rainbow,
see the rainbow, can't avoid therainbow, rainbow everywhere. So the
kids are dancing on they tore downlike a bunch of the pride flags and
we're dancing everywhere. And then inCanada, you don't even know what to
do at that point, because that'sprobably a hate crime if you're a white

(01:08:56):
dude who's sis heteronormative, but ifyou're little Muslim kid and because you're part
of the victimhood world that everybody wantsto place everybody in this, you know
again intersectionality of victimhood. Hey,they don't know what to do. Speaking
of Palestine, UCLA's back at it. There are chants out here of intafada,
that is an uprising against Israel, and that's what these demonstrators, many

(01:09:20):
of them affiliated with UCLA in someway or another, are calling for.
Here police lines are thick, butthese demonstrators are fortified. They were fortified
with food. We saw hot foodbeing moved in traits of water as they
were trying to make sure that theystayed in this position. For as long
as they could, Yeah, aslong as they can stay there, you

(01:09:44):
know, over the weekend, andwe touched on it yesterday. They surrounded
the White House right Lafayette Park, tearing, you know, breaking stuff,
just doing the chaos that they arechanting things that you know, we can
talk about Charlottesville, right because rememberthat's the reason he ran Biden because of

(01:10:06):
Charlottesville. But you've got people chantingterrorist slogans, wearing terrorist outfits with slogans
on them from terror story. Couldyou imagine people wearing it like Osama bin
laden stuff, which I'm sure isgoing to come sooner rather than later.
It's crazy. But when you're dealingand this is what the Democrats have the

(01:10:30):
issue with here, when you makeeverything identity, identity above all else,
meaning the color of your skin, your religion. When you do that,
you're caught between a rock and ahard place. Rather than go get these
people out of here, it's okaythat they protest, they can't be breaking
stuff and call them out for whatthey are. UCLA won't call them out.

(01:10:51):
We know that President won't call themout because he's having issues with young
voters. Several hours ago, theystarted outside Voicehall. Then when outside Morehol
after there was an order to disperse. They then barricaded themselves outside more Haul,
but then moved once again, marchedback across campus outside Don Hall.
There's a quad inside here now.Right about eight o'clock, police and tactical

(01:11:13):
gear moved into that area. Theyhad sealed off all the entrances and exits
and it looks like there's a bitof a bottleneck inside there. Good times.
This is going to go on andon and the longer this goes on,
and we've talked about it throughout theday, and Israel and the fact
that they were demonized for rescuing, not getting their hostages handed over to them,

(01:11:38):
for rescuing their own hostages is nuts. And these kids are they've lost
the plot. They have lost theplot. And I'm all about go ahead
and prote this. First of all, I don't go to UCLA said do
whatever you want to do. Butwhen you're harassing Jews, when you're threatening
them, at what point do westep in. We saw what happened last

(01:12:00):
time at UCLA. You guys rememberthis Jews in the valley And I'm not
talking about the valley over in Israel. I'm talking about the valley in southern
California. They had enough, andyou had a bunch of people show up
and said, all right, well, if you're gonna threaten other Jews and
and cousins and friends and and thenthen we're gonna take matters in her own

(01:12:21):
hand. And I just it's sobizarre. How did we get here?
We got here because we've allowed thisinsanity of this neo fascism on campus and
this identity bs to permeate and growwhere everybody is a victim, and the
victim Olympics right now are full threetwo, three, five, three eight,

(01:12:44):
twenty four, twenty three at chadventsonshow, to Twitter, your Instagram,
Missony show grabbed the podcast Chadbents andJob. This is the Chad Benson
Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad Benson guilty, just

(01:13:25):
like Trump guilty. Also like Trump, the case that never should have been
MSNBC earlier today. Panties in awad, people freaking out, tears in
their eyes. I'm told the jurya verifying him guilty. Count two.
The jury finds Hunter Biden guilty andon count three, which is possession of

(01:13:48):
the firearm by a drug user,or drug addict guilty. Hunter Biden has
just been found guilty on all ofthe counts against it. Guilty guilty,
guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty.
Should never have been I'll say thatagain, said it throughout many shows.

(01:14:14):
Uh, the frustrate. My biggestissue with all of this stuff,
And tell you this right now ishow it came to be not and we'll
get to how. You know,MSWC and CBS is trying to spin it,
But how when brought up the DOJand others knew there were issues,
but they decided to let this thingessentially, you know, go past it,

(01:14:36):
sell by date, and then notprosecute. Then it became a big
deal, and then they wanted togive a community It was crazy, crazy,
Hell, yes, I'm pardoning mykid one hundred percent. Somebody asked
me that earlier, would you pardneryour kid? Hell to the freaking yes,

(01:14:58):
I would. And as we closerand closer to election time, all
of these things is this is alsoa serious issue. This is also a
big issue because what is stuper Biden? You know, is it time to
say all right, we're done,I'm over, I'm out and you bounce.

(01:15:20):
I don't know. I don't know, but they asked today could there
be jail time? Is it possiblethere'll be jail time? And then Tom?
Finally, as a former federal prosecutor, do you think Hunter Biden will
go to prison? I do?I do. I think that the sentence
here is not going to be undulysevere. This really is effectively a first

(01:15:42):
time offender. I suspect that thejudge will look somewhat sympathetically on this case.
I don't see this as a casewhere the judge is going to be
looking at an upper range of thesentence and guidelines. My sense is that
the likeliest outcome would be a sentenceof incarceration, but for a fairly limited
period. You know, we'd betalking a year or two, not five
or six. Yeah. I don'tthink he should go to jail. I'm

(01:16:02):
gonna be honest with you. Idon't think he should go to jail.
And I'm pardoning my kid. Idon't care what anybody says. Now,
you could commute the sentence or whateverit is. Whatever it is, should
never see jail. I joked earlierwith a couple of people Man Mey and
Trump can share a space. Youdon't know, oh, chait. Some
people think he's going to jail. He's a first time offender and he's nonviolent

(01:16:28):
and not a threat. That's ridiculous, house arrests for three months whatever.
Still, I'm pardoning my kid, especially if I lose. If I lose,
all bets are off. And thenTom I referenced this earlier, and
the President has not been asked thisor ruled this out. But could President
Biden commute that sentence? Well,he could, and I know he said

(01:16:51):
at least he's not planning to pardonHunter Biden. But keep in mind that's
a promise made in May or June. And I expect that the world will
change between now and November, andPresident Biden may look at things very differently
come November. So, although yes, the idea of a pardon or a
commutation is off the table right now, I suspect it may come back with

(01:17:12):
a vengeance after the election. Yeah, as it should. He's your kid.
You're gonna do what you can forhim. Every one of you listening
right now, unless you can't standyour kid and you want to really teach
him a lesson would do the same. Damn thing. Why because they're your
kid. If I'm president of theUnited States and my kid gets in trouble
because he's an idiot, and Ihave a chance to help him out.
Yeah, now, commuting the sentencewhatever, I mean, that's always a

(01:17:38):
possibility. But I love it.Like he's he can't he can't. Well,
of course he can't. So hesays in May November, after you
lost the election. Looks a wholelot different. Looks absolutely a whole lot
different. Oh yeah, I guessyou're right, one hundred percent. I'm
right. It's just the reality ofit. Can't believe you'd pardon your kid.

(01:18:02):
Of course you would, you dumbass. You'd pardon your kid too.
People like that never pardon my goodness, you would letus you hate your
kid, You're totally gonna pardon them. I love though, listening to how
this all started out. Now,remember how these things started out. Let's
go back, because somebody tweeted atme earlier, the justice system is rigged.

(01:18:24):
Let's not forget that they wanted tolet this case go. They let
the essentially the the you know it, all of the stuff expire, the
Statute of Limitations. They wanted immunityfor certain things, and they wanted blame.
Remember how they tried to sneak allthis stuff by. So let's not
forget when we talk about, oh, justice worked. It wasn't until justice

(01:18:45):
was forced to do its job thatit finally did what it did. And
I'm still not even sure that thisthing should ever have been brought. But
still welcome to the new world ofpolitics, apparently. But let's not forget
how it started. I just thinkwe have to remember too. I mean,
this is kind of the culmination ofwhat is a really bizarre series of
events that started in what was initiallyand widely believed to be Russian propaganda and

(01:19:10):
allegations are wrongdoing in Ukraine and dirtydealing by the president's son involving the president.
This was a very narrow case thatwas ultimately brought, had nothing to
do with President Biden. It wassolely focused on that drug addiction, that
drug use, signing that form andthen possessing that weapon for those eleven days
in October. And like I said, I mean, this is a rare

(01:19:31):
case to bring a standalone trial adrug addict getting a gun and then possessing
a gun. But they do getbrought and there has been jail time into
what Tom Debries said, Perhaps therewill be in this case, but I
do think going back he will havegrounds for appeal, potentially good grounds.
And there's a Supreme Court case rightnow we're waiting on that could provide additional

(01:19:51):
guidance on that as well. Yeah, and let me tell you, guys,
and I said this earlier, thewhole thought process of your an attic,
Well, how long are you anaddict? You go to NA right
aa, You've got your addictions. They are always with you. So it's
a disease. It's never going anywhere. So and you know, yes,
she's right most of the time thesethings are brought why because most of the

(01:20:14):
time people are on drugs. Don'tgo fill out paper for a gun.
But I want you to listen toher again, because she always says,
let's not forget how this thing started. I just think we have to remember
too. I mean, this iskind of the culmination of what is a
really bizarre series of events that startedin what was initially and widely believed to
be Russian propaganda and allegations are wrongdoingin Ukraine and dirty dealing by the president's

(01:20:38):
son involving the president. This wasa very narrow case. He did make
a ton of money from Ukraine. He made a ton of money from China.
Trump was right about that. Theywere looking into things and they found
something else, and then they foundhow they tried to hide it and the
DOJ pushed it aside. So let'snot forget how these things began. It's
the same kind of thing with Trumpin New York and the Stormy Daniels slash

(01:21:01):
hush money payment stuff. Now forgethow these things started. Yeah, they
started because people are using the opportunityto look into things and go after people
when they have a chance. LawfairAnd I'm sure the Democrats are not thrilled
by the fact that there's lawfare. And I'm sure if Biden was honest with
himself, he'd say to himself,I just rather they didn't go after Trump

(01:21:28):
and they want to come after Hunter. I wish that didn't happen, but
it did. And the last herewe are and listening to them tell the
stories on CBS and MSNBC as theypaint the picture, betting the picture.
It's what it's all about. NorEvery presidential family is part of the American
family. That's the way it works. This is a tragedy for the Biden

(01:21:51):
family, precipitated in large measure bythe death of Bo Biden for eight years,
the Attorney General of Delaware, notthe favorite son, but the more
prominent of the two sons. HunterBiden's problems began to spiral that as a
word that is used in addiction therapywith some frequency. After Bo's death.

(01:22:12):
He simply could not grapple with it. He made a ton of terrible decisions
involving many members of the Biden familywho had to find their way in,
through and out of this trial. That family drama played out in a courtroom
in ways we have never seen before. It doesn't make it any less painful
for the nation or for the family. But the verdict is now real,
and the consequences will apply. Theconsequences will apply. Yes, I'm not

(01:22:39):
taking I'm not reveling in any ofthis. Quite frankly, it's annoying that
are we having to talk about somethinglike this, because no, I don't
think. I think if his namewas Bob Smith, we wouldn't be in
this situation. We'd be talking aboutthis. But his name wasn't His name
was Hunter Biden, and alas herewe are. Am I thrilled by this?
No, just like Donald Trump wouldnever have been brought to court to

(01:23:00):
face any of those whatever things thathe faced. You know, the thirty
four different counts on the ledger forthe Stormy Daniels hush money that also happened
to influence an election, because everybody, no, no, would never have
happened. If he was somebody elsewould never have happened. But it did.

(01:23:23):
And here we are. And Idon't want this to be the new
way we go, but I havea feeling the opportunity to go after your
quote unquote enemies. And let's notforget these were simultaneous. This wasn't something
that happened two weeks ago after orweek after Trump was convicted. This is
stuff that's gone on for a whilethat they were looking into. You know,
how did Biden get so much money? All of these things from very

(01:23:45):
fair questions to ask and to lookinto. Was there dirty dealing? Was
there some of those things? Justfrustrating as hell. I'll tell you what
you see. Yesterday Trump had todo one of those fune calls with the
parole board. Is Donald Trump andhe had to sit there and talk to

(01:24:08):
them, and they ask him questionslike what are you gonna do when you
get out? If you have togo to jail, that's your financial situation.
Do you have a house? Howare you with cars? Have you
thought about employment? Those are allthe things. Oh my goodness me.
Some of you were texting in witha laugh. Some of you were like,

(01:24:31):
you know, this wouldn't have happened. Yes, none of these things
would have happened had they stayed awayfrom politics, and or had Joe Biden
ever run. Nobody'd cared. That'ssad. Had Donald Trump went away and
said I'm never coming back. Theyhad never looked into anything. But this

(01:24:51):
is, unfortunately the new world welive in in Lawfair maybe the new thing,
and that isn't good. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three. Hatchhad been in show at your Twitter,
your Instagram, all of the otherthings. A lot of stuff to

eighteen. The iosaighteen makes iPhone morepersonal, capable and intelligent. AI involved.

(01:27:12):
Talk about that Florida Panthers. RebeccaGrossman, California socialite, sends to
fifteen years to life for killing twokids in a crosswalk in Nvidia stock.
Maren Morris, she apparently divorced herhusband last year, is now part of
the LGBTQ plus. Good for herright, just say. George Lopez walked

(01:27:34):
out of a gig at Eagle MountainCasino up in Porterville, up in like
central northern California. This is thesecond time he's had an issue with this
place. He said he was heckledand there was all this stuff. They
reviewed footage there was none of thatstuff, So maybe he just didn't feel

(01:27:55):
like being there. I don't know. Malawi, their vice president and it
is dead apparently well for the planeis missing. That's all I got to
say. John Fetterman and his wifewere taken to a hospital after a car
crash. They're both seem to befine. Head over to Yahoo College World
Series, Russia, Ukraine War,Donald Trump, Donald Trump, always Donald

(01:28:18):
Trump, evil bad person. ThatDonald is still talking about the shark stuff.
That was pretty interesting, right ifyou guys in here for the weekend,
he's in Nevada talking about sharks.I don't know why I couldn't tell
you. Caitlyn Clark, Prince,Harry, Kate Middleton all trending on Yahoo.

(01:28:38):
And finally over the magical world ofTwitter, Apple number one trending thing
iOS eighteen Lakers. Lakers offered wasit a seventy million dollar contract for six
years for Dan Hurley, the coachof Yukon, And he thought about it

(01:29:00):
and he said, now I'll stayhere in college. Think about that,
right, Like it's a lot ofmoney, and Yukon's gonna they're already,
you know, doing what they canto throw more money at him. But
you turn down the Lakers. It'sjust not a good job, is it?
La? Is it comfort? That'sthat's pretty amazing National Iced t Day.

(01:29:45):
At Chad Benson's show that is yourTwitter, your Instagram and all of the
other stuff. You find out what'strending on on TikTok because it is TikTok
Tuesday, and play some more wackytiktoks coming up as well a lot of
other stuff. Israel. The falloutcontinues and the insanity continues. We got
a lot of stuff from the mediaover the weekend that I didn't get to
yesterday because we had so much stuff. Some days, She's got so much

(01:30:08):
stuff. You can only get toso much. But watching the media freak
out, the mainstream media over Israel'sraid and arguably the worst question ever asked,
and that's saying something, but I'mtalking about serious stuff, The worst
question ever asked. The BBC maytake the cake. We'll talk about that.

(01:30:30):
A lot of other stuff to getto it is the Chad Benson show,
such Chad Benson Show, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad

(01:31:08):
Benson. We have responsibility, Terry. We did not have any accountability for
what was going on there, andwe should have. This is ridiculous.
You're gonna ask me in the middleof the thing when they've already breached the
inaugural stuff that, uh uh shouldwe call the Capitol police? I mean

(01:31:31):
the National Guard? Why weren't theNational Guard there to begin with? They
thought that they had sufficient well therewas not a question of how they had.
They don't know. They clearly didn'tknow, and I take responsibility for
not having them just prepare for morethat right there is Nancy Pelosi and know

(01:31:53):
if you guys have heard her, she's one of the greatest investors in the
history of mankind. She speaks,Warren Buffett look like a popper, I'm
kidding, Speaker of the House. All the stuff going down January sixth,
they're escaping it. They're in thebig black SUVs. She's wearing a mask
because that's what you do. Becauseit was back in the time of COVID

(01:32:13):
and what was going on. Shesaid, I take a responsibility. I
am I should have had them here. I should have had them here.
I should have been more prepared.Oh my lord. The fact is that
the president of the United States, the former president, and his toadies do
not want to face the facts. They're trying to do revisionist history on January

(01:32:39):
sixth. But we cannot let usbe dragged into their again false impression of
what happened that day. They knowwhat happened that day. Yeah, what
happened that day was ridiculous. Doesn'tmean you guys were prepared. Did Trump
or didn't Trump say we should proablyget national hard and stuff? Were there

(01:33:00):
people inside of the White House sayswe need more police, meaning more of
these things? Will we ever knowthe entire story. We will never know
the entire story about were their help, did they ignore, et cetera,
et cetera. All I know isthere were a bunch of ass hats out
there. They're not freedom fighters,No, they were ass hats. They
were idiots who did bad things becausethey thought, in some way, shape

(01:33:23):
or form, they were going toinfluence something. And I'm not thrilled by
it. I just think that avast majority of them were people that were
just wandering through in the wrong place, not there to overthrow the government.
Did a few people in their mindthink that they were doing something. Yeah,
but I can't blame everybody for thatand the overcharging and ridiculousness of a

(01:33:44):
lot of it. We've gone onand on. But were you prepared for
that is a fair question to ask, and based on what she said there,
she was not and they were not. Ooh, it's all politics,
baby, speaking of politics. Frontpage of CNN. Why far right surgeon

(01:34:05):
European elections could be an omen forTrump. We've talked about the economy,
We've talked about the border. Abortionis another issue, though, that is
going to be on a lot ofthe ballots and swing states. You can
do everything they can to get everythinglike that on the ballot that they think
helps them bring out progressives who wouldnever vote for Trump. This is hardly

(01:34:29):
a major keynote. I think fromthe president the former president's perspective, these
are voters that he needs, buthe doesn't want to be talking a lot
of real deep policy with him becausethey will not be on the same page
as him when it comes to abortionrights. You've seen some prominent groups,
even his former vice president Mike pensaying that Donald Trump has betrayed conservatives with
his position on abortion, essentially leavingit to states, and he has caught

(01:34:50):
in a really tough political crossfire. He is. And let's be real,
And whenever I do this, wheneverwe sit down and talk about stuff like
this, I'll get it from theleft. You know, you just want
to control women, and I'll getit from the right. It's at all

(01:35:12):
or nothing. Trump's not worried aboutwhether or not you have a choice.
Trump's worried about being elected. You'vegot to win elections if you want to
control more things. That is thereality of it. And winning gives you
opportunities. Losing constantly gives you theopportunity to have to start the fight all

(01:35:38):
over again. And that is thereality of the abortion issue for a lot
of people out there. When Italk to people who are super pro life,
I'm pro life, but I understandI don't want to control anybody.
But I also think there needs tobe a understanding that after fifteen weeks,
whenever they say, you know, the pro choice people, it's on our

(01:36:00):
side. Yeah, for the firsttrimester. Then after that it drops like
a rock and water the support andby the time you get to the third
trimester, you got no support,Like trans men who want to have an
abortion, like that's about it,just so they can have an abortion,

(01:36:25):
Like that's your support. So whatis it? And it's a fair question
to ask out there people who arepro life. Would you rather have fifteen
weeks and obviously the exemption of rapeand the health of the you know,
the mother and things that it.But would you rather have that twelve fifteen
weeks or would you rather take achance of losing everything and it being wide

(01:36:50):
open where it is they codify itand it's nine months up until the moment
I mean, is that what youwant? Are you willing to lose elections?
Especially at state levels, which iswhat this is really kind of becoming
that situation where the states are youknow, I've talked about it at nausea,

(01:37:11):
but I'll throw it out there againreally quick. The fact is the
Feds are pissed. The federal sideof our government is pissed because this became
a state issue, and as weall know, they like issues because issue
raises money and all those kind ofthings. So just throwing it out there,
think about it. If you threetwo three five three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad BensonShow is your Twitter. The other side

(01:37:31):
is the economy. Are we headedto destruction? At least the first one
was a natural one, you know, in twenty five to twenty nine was
a natural bubble. There was nostimulus behind that artificial stimulus. So this
is new. This has never happened. Governments have never felt the power to
just say, well, you knowwhat, we're not going to take a
depression after our great bubble and party. We're not going to take the hangover.

(01:37:55):
We're just going out. What doyou do if you want to share
a hangover, you drink more. And that's what they've been doing. And
so this is not good policy mypoint of view. Okay, that is
Harry Dent. He is an economist, he's very outspoken financial author. He
is saying, look what we havecoming, what is bubbling under here is

(01:38:20):
terrifying that this thing is about tocrash. I don't know about a crash,
but a pullback I could absolutely see. I mean, we talked to
our buddy Zach Abraham all the time, our financial guy. We're have him
again on on Friday, and I'mgonna hit him up about what he said,
and the fear of this thing comingis going to be. First of

(01:38:42):
all, it's man made, right, it's we've overbought stuff, but we've
also poured tons and tons, andwhen I mean tons, trillions of dollars
into the market itself. Are welooking at a point where once that starts
to dry up, we're going tobe in a serious heap and a hurt.
Ben you know what if if thiscan go another five years, I'm

(01:39:04):
ad to mid you know what,it's flooding them to economy. That'xtra money
forever might actually enhance the overall economylong term. But what we'll only see
when we see this bubble burst. And again, this bubble has been going
fourteen years instead of most bubbles fiveto six. So maybe we need that

(01:39:27):
pullback right, that wake up call. But how bad will it be?
That's the question. And I knowWall Street is not main Street, and
I remind everybody that, whether it'sTrump or Biden, wall Street's not main
street. But your retirement counts youlike to see up and they've been up.
Not everybody, but of a largemajority of people. Not that you're

(01:39:50):
touching it all, But what woulda bubble do. The psychological side of
it is very important. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at chedBenson shows your Twitter tweet at us text
the show. Speaking of that, take care of yourself. Our buddy's over
at bull Ard Capital. Risk managementnumber one thing they do, and they

(01:41:20):
Stinks Notes, Deep doo doo Eah, the Chat Benson Show, pulling the
wraps off what Apple is calling AppleIntelligence AI will be integrated into iPhones,
iPads, and Mac computers, revealedby Apple CEO Tim Cook in a presentation
for its annual Developers Conference. It'spersonal intelligence and it's the next big step

(01:41:44):
for Apple, he says. AppleIntelligence will be able to do things like
rewrite an email to make it friendlier, create personalized emojis and pictures, and
Apple promises it will be secure? Will it? Will it be secure?
That's the big things like, Nah, you guys are going to roll this
out here. I'm not quite surewe're going to do this here. If
you want to work for me,I don't know. If I don't know

(01:42:08):
if anything secure at this point intime, I don't But Apple this thing
is supposed to be friendlier, right, It's going to help you with a
lot of different things. It's gonnamake it more of a conversationalist. It's
going to be about you and notjust where you ask Siria question and Siri,
I mean, this is what they'regoing for here. We want that
friendlier kindler kinder a oh, Isee very much, so very much.

(01:42:34):
So what else is Apple doing?Sapple also announcing in a few months,
iPhone users will be able to sendand received text messages when they're off the
grid using satellites. Until now wasonly for emergency use to summon help to
connect to satellites hundreds of miles abovethe earth to text your friends and family
when you're off the grid. Casuallytexting via satellite will require an iPhone fourteen

(01:42:56):
or later. All right, sothere you go off the grid, but
not totally off the grid. Whatdo you think of that, mister President?
She knows so long as nine,Yeah, she knows. Some little
struggle there. Disney's doing something rightnow, reopening the Splash Mountain thing that

(01:43:17):
was taken down because of racism. And we'll talk about that in a second.
What, yeah, if you guysdidn't know if you went on Splash
Mountain eRASS, but now they're fixingit. A lucky few are getting the
chance to experience a new Disney ridefocusing on the company's first black princess.
The ride is inspired by the movieThe Princess and the Frog and its heroin.

(01:43:40):
Certain groups like employees and annual passholders, are previewing the ride at Disney
World, which will open to thepublic at the end of June. The
theme replaces the Splash Mountain ride basedon characters from Song to the South,
which has been widely criticized for itsstereotypical portrayals of black people. Yeah,
and if you've not seen songs itis. And look, I watched a

(01:44:02):
lot of Westerns, you guys, know that old Westerns, and they always
have that thing that you know, the cultural you know, depiction of these
you know, in this time wasokay because we always liked to come at
everything from our modern sensibility. Right, everything is okay because if I was
back there, I would no,No, that's a lie. So Songs

(01:44:23):
in the South, Yeah, Imean, and we're gonna get to James
Basket here in a little bit.As our interesting information you need to know.
But I don't know how many peoplein the day's modern world even thought
of any of that stuff when Songsof the South and I can almost guarantee
you the ninety nine point nine percentof the people that rode the ride never
once, never once thought about thatand or saw the movie from nineteen forty

(01:44:51):
eight or whatever. In twenty twenty, Disney announced the ride would be rethemed.
The company spent the next four yearsresearching and developing the new concept.
The Right story takes place after theplot of The Princess and the Frog ends.
The attraction includes new music, fortyeight new audio, animatronic figures,
more than two thousand fireflies, anda fifty foot drop. Disney expects to

(01:45:15):
open Tiana's By You Adventure at Disneylandlater this year. Yeah. In Japan,
by the way, they said, now we're going to be fine.
We're just going to keep everything thesame. But they're like slavery. They're
like, yeah, we didn't,sorry, just we're good. The good
news is if you're a young girlor a young person of color, this
will inspire you. If there isa black young woman who owns a business,

(01:45:39):
it is now like any story whereshe's involving her community can do all
of this. Imagine how much farand we can go beyond this. As
far as a positive representation, I'mnot quite sure what that means. And
Disney's done this. I mean they'vegone woke, right, you know,
woko. You know they've had alot of issues, but they're woke wackenness.

(01:46:00):
We've talked about it, and Iremember Pirates of the Caribbean. That
was the first thing they went after, the pirates because if you've been on
the ride, the pirates used tochase the women around because ah, that's
what pirates do. And they madeit so that didn't happen because of rape
culture or something which brings us totoday's And then I go and spoil it

(01:46:24):
all. I say something stupid. It will take stupid tills this morning.
It's the honest ones you want towatch out for, because you can never
predict they're gonna do something incredibly stupid. Now you're the fat, stupid one
with the big mouth. Is stupidlittle last. You should never underestimate the
predictability of stupidoting. Now it's timefor stupid information, which comes from the

(01:46:54):
movie Song of the South, thelead role Uncle Remus, played by James
Basket jump right out of it.Zip due zipity yay, my my,
what a wonderful day. Plenty ofsunshine, hip my way, Zip pretty

(01:47:16):
be due zipity ya, mister bbirds on my shoulder. It's the truth.
It's actual. Everything is said, its factual. Zip but it DoD
zip A wonderful feeling, wonderful day, Yes, sir, So he played

(01:47:43):
Uncle Remas. It's a very interestingstory, so Song of the South nineteen
forty six. It's based on UncleRemus stories by Joe Chandler. Harris Walt
Disney was impressed with Baskets healent. He came in originally to audition to do
some of the voices for the animals, and Disney was so impressed hired him
on the spot to play Uncle Remas. He was also Briar Fox and Briar

(01:48:06):
Rabbit in a couple sequences as voicing. But this was the first time Hollywood
had a lead actor that was black, that was a non comic character.
But if you want to talk aboutracism, he couldn't go to the premiere
into Lanta, Georgia because of thesegregation loss. March twenty eighth nineteen forty

(01:48:30):
eight, Basket receives an Academy AwardHonorary for his performance as Uncle Remas.
He was the first African American maleactor to earn an Academy Award. Additionally,
Basket was the last adult actor toreceive an honorary Oscar for his single
performance. And the reason for thatis he's very sick. He died not
long afterwards. But Uncle Remas rightthere played by James Basket. His lead

(01:48:54):
character role got him an Oscar, the first black actor to win an Oscar,
even though Sidney Potier won the Oscarand many credit him because it was
for the role that he played atthe time. The reality is this movie
came out and they said, wegot to do something about this later on,
and they did. There you go, little information. You need to

(01:49:15):
know. Why not because we wantyou guys to be educated and learned.
You guys have a blessed rest ofyour day. We'll do it again tomorrow
as always, Night Night Check. This is the Chad Benson Show.
