Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Milton was big, Milton was bad, and Milton decided not
just to bring the wind and the rain, but Nator's
as well. My goodness to me watching it last night,
here's the craziness of today's world. Real time, every single
(00:34):
one of us is potentially the star of a movie,
a reporter, a producer, a distributor because of how connected
we are, and watching it was fascinating last night because
(00:54):
it was in real time, watching people who some of
them who are storm chasers, slash meteorologists, some people who
are just residents who are living in high rises. Lieutenant
Dan has become quite popular. If you don't know who
that is. That is a guy that is in Tampa.
Who is if you remember the movie for Scump Lieutenant
(01:17):
Dan Missing Legs, Well, this guy's missing at leg kind
of a homeless guy, lives in a little boat and
he decided he was staying there. So you had a
lot of people who are live streaming it's Lieutenant Dan. Okay,
he is okay from what I understand, but this was
a beast. Milton was a beast, and Milton is dissipated,
(01:39):
but not everything's out of the woods.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
It's moving over the Atlantic. Now there are flash flood
warnings because this has come with foot foot and a
half of rain, and there will still be on shore
three to five feet of surge from Cape Canaveral in
the Space coast right up to Daytona and Jacksonville, so
that with title times could be problematic.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Could be now on the other side of it, everybody
was thinking, Okay, these winds, these rains, the surge, the
surge didn't get up as high as a lot of
people thought. That being said, they did not expect the
tornadoes the way that they got them.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Milton's devastation impacting Florida even before landfall the hurricane, spawning
at least thirty six reported tornadoes, with an astonishing one
hundred and thirty three tornado warnings issued, some turning deadly.
Multiple fatalities reported at a senior community near Fort Pierce
on Florida's east coast.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, and the damage was massive. It's across the state
in a lot of areas that people, you know, maybe
thought they were out of the woods, weren't going to
get that kind of damage, and they got it. And
that those tornadoes did you see some of the and
This goes back to what I was talking about. Watching
this thing in real time. We're not waiting to read
it in the newspaper or see it on television. You
(02:55):
could go to numerous places on the interwebs and watch
people in buildings filming giant water spouts that we're heading
towards land. It was insane.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
The tornado outbreak, ripping apart the Saint Lucie County Sheriff's office,
mangled metal, mixed with rescue vehicles. One tornado passing over
a highway, large funnel clouds over neighborhoods near Palm Beach.
Another tornado flipping a postal truck at the Vero Beach
post Office.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, that was crazy. And then the baseball stadium Trumpicana Field.
That's where the I keep calling the devil rays. I
think they're just the rays now because you don't want
to say devil. But what was it? Was it regular
news camera? No, it wasn't. It was just it's people outdoors,
just you know, checking this thing out on high rises
and the high rise. And that's important because this one
(03:45):
lady I was following and I saw her on News Nation.
I told my wife, I said, you got check this
this lady. Yeah, she's hilarious, you know, and maybe we'll
play some of her for her later, but she is
in fact, I'm gonna go to my Instagram and see
where she's at right now, because yep, there she goes.
First thing that pops up, she's already inside the stadium
and she's, you know, just doing her thing where she's
(04:05):
just and it's very real and it's very raw, and
the stadium is just absolutely just They rip that thing
apart shows you what nature can do.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Our big portion of it has ripped off. We are
looking inside Tropicana Field. We are seeing extreme damage to
try we had actually there was a report we saw
online earlier of a fire and we were waiting to
confirm that. And now we just made it up to
the fifth floor of the hotel we are in and
(04:36):
I just, I mean, it's hard to believe what we're looking.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
At and what's crazy is and I'm seeing some live
feats from there now. Lieutenant Dan is alive and he
as well as of this morning, and they show this
person lives out about fourteen fifteen stories up right over
the canal and the inlet there and Commas can be
It's almost like nothing ever happened. Milton showed up and
(05:02):
Milton did damage, big, big damage. Now the cleanup begins
and the politicking begins, because you can't have that. We'll
get deeper into that in a little bit. It was,
you know, I mean, and I was telling people. The
way that people approach this was much different than things
(05:24):
we have seen in the past. Right, So the things
that we have seen in the past is the politicking
has begun and they fight back and forth, and there
was this and that. This you could tell by the
way that DeSantis, the way that Biden and the administration,
(05:46):
and yes, there's the BS that's out there, and we
can talk about that a little bit. We'll do that
here in a minute. But the way that they approached
this was a much different approach. You could tell the
seriousness in the way that they were doing and conducting
their interviews. You could tell the seriousness in the way
(06:08):
that everybody was getting themselves out of dodge. You could
tell the seriousness by the fact that for the most part,
the people that are out there that normally would play
the political game on both sides of the aisle were
keeping themselves quiet. Yeah, you're still going to have some
of those people out there that do that, but this
(06:28):
was definitely there was just a different tone in this
so very interesting. Indeed, we're gonna have a lot more
of this. I think there's about three million people, give
or take that are still without power. But for the
most part, the damage has already been done. It's moving
(06:50):
its way out to the Atlantic. And God willing, you know.
Because I joked earlier was somebody has said, you know,
God willing you know, and God seems to hate Florida.
I said that actually neutral, but I think mother natureates
Flora that this thing will go out, and antsicipate because
you never know what's to turn around or something. But
(07:10):
for the most part, it seems to be a bit
over now that digging out. Now the real hard part begins,
and that hard part is going to be restoring power,
restoring water one of the other things. Clean water, because
everything gets mucked up in the waste water and the
worry of disease and all this kind of stuff. That
is going to be a big issue. But the power
(07:31):
is going to be a very big issue in the
coming days. And there's enough food, They've got everything there,
and having Helene move through kind of gives people a
jump start on this, so they were kind of ready
to go. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three Atchad Benson Show. Is your Twitter tweet
(07:52):
at as text the program. A lot of stuff still
to get to today besides this. And yes, there is
a political side of this, because there can't not be
a political side, But like I said, the way that
this I think was handled, and kudos to Ronda Santis
who was dragged into something, you know, two days ago
(08:13):
as they prepared for this, that he shouldn't have been
dragged into in the political world because this should be
about making sure your state is safe. But kudos to
him because I think they've done a hell of a
job and he has really led something here that I
think he is he should be damn proud of. And
they're still going to Giveeak some complaints because people are
going to complain you've just lost everything, and the media
(08:36):
is always looking for something to play with. But I
think for the most part, it's been a pretty bang
up job getting ready. And you can't blame government for everything,
and that's something I want to talk about later because
a lot of times people go and blame government for
things that your actions caused three two, three, five, three eight,

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Chad Benson.
Speaker 6 (10:24):
The President is now trying to set the record straight,
making it clear they are surging resources to the region
with more than eight thousand federal personnel on the ground.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
They have twenty million meals and forty million liters of.
Speaker 6 (10:35):
Water ready to go. Search and Rescue team stand at
the ready. The Pentagon has troops out of Georgia on standby,
in addition to the assets that the Florida National Guard
has ready.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yes, disinformation, misinformation straight out lies. Is it happening? Of
course it is a lot of it is misinformation. A
lot of it is. There's people just they it's a
game of telephone and by the time it gets to
where something is, it's the entire story is skewed. Is
(11:08):
it something that I think people do on purpose? Now?
I think people are pissed And here's the thing. We
have an access now to the world of each other
like we've never had before. And it's incredible. It's also
insanely stupid at times because people will, yes, people will
(11:30):
purposely go out and misinform people. Some people are frustrated
and they've heard seventy things and they've tried something and
they didn't get the answer they wanted and they're in
the middle of this and so what ends up happening
It becomes now the law of the land for some people,
because some people are coming into this with the government
is always bad the government. And let's separate the difference
(11:52):
between malice intent and at times incompetence red tape, because
there are a lot of people out there that are
busting their ass, that are working hard for the people
in Florida, in North Carolina, in Georgia. They're going through
this hell right now. There's no malice intent in that.
(12:15):
The government just comes in and it does what government does.
It's big, it's bulky, it's clumsy. So this oh, you know,
we're only getting this, We're only getting it's that's it's frustrating.
And as I've been saying, you take people at the
lowest point. They've lost everything, they've had to been rescued,
they don't have anything, maybe their business is gone, their
(12:37):
house is gone, maybe they've lost loved ones or the
missing loved ones, and then all of a sudden, you know,
it becomes a political thing that it shouldn't be. And
people then do the thing that they can do now
that we couldn't do twenty years ago. We take to
the airwaves and we talk about how horrible everything is
and how bad the government is. I can go back
(12:58):
in time and show you stuff from GOA. We get
to listen to it, and you'll go, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because when Katrina happened, the failure across the board at
all levels was massive. There's books about how bad it was.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
The President says, these false claims are reckless and irresponsible.
They're just not true, and it has to stop because
it's undermining confidence in the rescue and recovery efforts and
could hurt people who need help the most.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
And there are people out there that I know do
not trust the government, And because of their inherent distrust
of the government, they're always looking for a reason. Ago
it's the government's fault. Well, the government didn't control the weather,
despite what some people say they totally did. Okay, but
let's just say on this one, they didn't. And what
(13:50):
ends up happening You distrust, You think this should happen,
when in truth it's that was never going to happen.
You're supposed to get this, so you're supposed to get that.
I'm supposed to get all this money, and all of
a sudden, Oh, this didn't happen the way I wanted
it to happen. So inherently this is a bad situation.
Governor's bad. That's not we cannot do that. And on
(14:13):
the other side, running around saying everything is disinformation, that
is not true. You know, there's a great book out
about Katrina and the failures of Katrina. And one of
the things about Katrina and how bad it was was
when they look back and they talk about the and
(14:34):
Doug Brinkley wrote it and it's I think it's called
it's kind I think it's called the Deluge, and it's
about the nightmare. And they talked to him about ten
years ago, you know, in the anniversary of Katrina, and
they said, what went right? What went wrong? Because what
you guys don't remember is, yes, the whole Brownie thing,
all that stuff we could talk about, but how many
(14:57):
of those local official officials ended up going to for
all the stuff they did wrong. But not only was
it FEMA and a bunch of other local officials that failed,
who came through It was the American people.
Speaker 7 (15:08):
Well, George W. Bush did a terrible leadership job during
that crisis. He kind of acted like nothing was happening
wrong for the first days he had been in San
Diego where he played air guitar, and then he did
the famous flyover being very detached from the devastation, and
that photograph that damaged his presidency immensely of him just
peering down at the abyss. Then when he did come
(15:31):
back and land in the Gulf South, he put his
arm around Michael Brown saying, Brownie did heck of a job.
Speaker 8 (15:37):
Brownie, You're doing a heck of a job.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
That sound bite became the Bush SoundBite. It was about
dysfunction everybody. It was even connected in a way to
the war in Iraq, the Bush administration saying things are
going great when things weren't going great. So he gets
it was very poor during that leadership moment. FEMA did terrible,
as we all know.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
And yet who did well the American people because most
of it came from local NGOs that helped out. FEMA
was awful. The locals were awful. How many of them
ended up going to jail, local officials, councilmen, mayors, the
whole nine years, it was a nightmare. Not everything is disinformation,
(16:18):
and not all information is a lie. But when you
have an inherent distrust in a very contentious time in
our political world, it's unfortunate that no matter what happens,
natural disaster, something that was it doesn't matter what it
is anymore, you come at it as an your identity.
(16:40):
Is this so automatically the hurricane is the government's controlled.
It's a problem that was brought there to hurt you,
destroy you, hurt your political identity. That is an unhealthy
way to look at stuff. And yes, if you go
back and look, Bush didn't handle it well. And and
(17:01):
I'll say this to the media, you guys aren't hammering
Biden the same way that you hammered Bush, and Bush
got there quicker when it came to these disasters than
Biden did. Sitting on the beach in Delaware three two, three, four,
twenty three at Chad Benson Show to Twitter your Instagram,
Oh my lord, should we get rid of the Electoral College?
Speaker 9 (17:21):
What?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Yeah? Tim Walls, Tim chat Benson, cham.
Speaker 10 (17:36):
Son, Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 11 (18:00):
But we saw transformers blowing left and right, and there's
a lot of power out in the state of Florida.
Some three point two million households are waking up without power.
Here Tampa Electric saying seventy percent of their customers don't
have power right now.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Yeah, watching this throughout the day, will continue to do
so as the cleanup begins. People are waking up today
and you know, maybe some trying to return home to
find out what they have left. For some people they're
going to be surprised and for other people are going
to be devastated. But the power thing, three point two
million people, thirty seven thousand linemen are currently there and
(18:41):
ready to roll. So this is going to be I
was watching somebody last night who was doing you know,
Facebook Live or whatever it was Your Instagram Live and
d their phone up and you could just see that
the transformers, if you've never heard one explode, we had
one here yesterday in front of our place here in Nashville.
So I'm out here in Nashville right now and we
(19:02):
had a transformer explode. My wife goes, what the hell
is that? And I said, I think it was It
was a transformer. It was one of those boxes, because
at first I thought it was somebody dropped a trash candy,
you know, one of those big metal cans. The the
trash truck picks up, you know, in the front and
then puts it over it and it drops it down.
I thought, But no, it would end up being a Transformer.
And at night watching them just pop everywhere, it was crazy.
(19:26):
It was crazy. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three. Atch. You had Benson's Show, your Twitter,
your Instagram, all of the other things. So Tuesday night,
the vice presidential candidate not named JD. Vance Tim Walls,
goes to a couple of fundraisers starts talking about how
he wants to get rid of the electoral College, wants
(19:49):
to go popular vote. It's got to go popular vote.
This is it, we're doing a popular vote and idiotic
and ridiculous and not constitutional. You have to change the constitution.
And the insanity of even suggesting that. And I know
(20:11):
a lot of people think that, well they should chad
because you know, the Republicans aren't going to win with
you know, your popular vote. The Democrats always gonna win
if you take away the electoral college and you go
strictly with the popular vote. Welcome to the end of
it all. And that's not hyperbole. Now it's not gonna
happen overnight. But for all those in states who already
(20:33):
feel like you don't get paid attention to, you're never
going to have anybody ever come see you, ever, come
see you ever, no reason to you would visit the
top five to eight cities in America. So you're gonna
go to California, New York, Texas, Illinois. And by Illinois,
(20:57):
I mean and when I talk about that, you're going
to Dallas, You're going to Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles,
New York City, maybe Miami. You're gonna hit nothing but those,
and you never You're never going to Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
You're never going to go there. You never going to Birmingham, Alabama,
(21:19):
because there's no reason to and those places will get
all the benefits and everybody else will be left and
asked out. And the fact that he would bring that
up is insane, but I expect nothing less.
Speaker 12 (21:31):
He wants to change the Constitution to get away from
the electoral college because they know that the Democrats have
a built in advantage, particularly in states like New York
and California with large population bases, that they don't go
on campaign and look, the rules of the game are
very simple. You get to two hundred and seventy electoral
votes and you are the next president of the United States.
Tim Walls and obviously Vice President Harris is now trying
(21:51):
to walk those statements back. Believe in that because they
know that they can win the popular vote. But we
play by the rules of the game, and that means
winning in Pennsylvania, Michigan, wiscon In Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Nevada,
the battleground states. Dal Trump continues to hit all of
these states every single week, bringing a message of hope
and opportunity directly to the people.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Corey Lewandowski there, we're going to try to get him
on next week, working back again with the Trump campaign.
So let's just say, for the sake of argument, he's like,
let's do this, so two thirds vote of both House
and Congress, Okay, or if two thirds of the state's
request won by a convention, so they have constitutional convention,
the amendment must be ratified by three fourths of the
(22:33):
state legislator, So three fourths of the conventions called in
each state for ratification. It's never going to happen. It
isn't the fact though, And I know people are going, well, well,
it should happen, Chad, because because you know, Trump will
lose the kiss. Trump's not going to win the popular vote.
I don't think so. I think it'll be closed. But
he's not going to win the popular vote, but he
(22:54):
has a chance to win electoral college. Well, that's not fair.
Our founding father set it up so that a representative government. Okay,
that's just it. That's why everybody has two senators. Right,
California doesn't have twelve centators, they have two. Right, Montana
has two. You want to have a representative. They're speaking
(23:15):
for the minority party, but also speaking for places that
would be otherwise overlook. You at that point in time again, North, Dakota, South,
none of you matter. All that would matter with to
be the big states. And the fact that that he
suggested it, I mean because he understands if the popular
vote was it, Republicans would have a tough time. Republicans
would have to change everything to ever get voted again
(23:37):
on the national level. They would have to become the
well which they're kind of becoming in a populism way now.
The because they no longer care about the debt, because
nobody cares about the debt anymore. Dead day he really cares,
is the way It's time, right, I talk about it.
Let's just all throw all the money on the credit
card we can, and our great great grandkids will pay
for it. Apparently, but you would have Essentially, you're going
(24:01):
to vote for the person who is going to be
the higher, highest bidder in the things that you want.
Not if they're going to gover it correctly. Not if
they're going to do the right thing. Who's going to
give me the most stuff will win each and every time.
That's why you can't have that. Speaking of the presidential race,
what are we twenty five days away? Some places are
(24:22):
already early voting, and we'll talk a little bit later
about they're already having to figure out how to get
you know, they're worried about Florida. People are gonna be
able to vote North Carolina obviously and voting there, and
they're already starting to get what are we gonna have
to do to get everybody here to vote so they
don't feel like the vote isn't countered because of this,
But we do have a vote coming very very soon.
James Carvill always a pleasure.
Speaker 13 (24:43):
The elections come on November fifth, to death, very very
compired about.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
What does Harris need to do with the month left right.
Speaker 13 (24:50):
The shaven month left twenty twenty six days, day is gone.
You're going to lose fourth at a hurricane. So and
everything kind of shuts down the Saturday before the and
so you're really probably under twenty days that you have
to really get.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
A message out.
Speaker 13 (25:05):
They need to be shocked, they need to be aggressive,
They need to stop answering questions and start asking questions.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Well, she doesn't really answer any questions, and I would
like to see the questions she's going to ask, but
she's not answering any questions. The questions that she is
answering are softball questions, would zero follow up and they
make no sense most of the time.
Speaker 13 (25:26):
They're doing all this and sitting down with sixty minutes
and sitting down in Cobert and sitting down no matter what.
If I come on your show, you're going to ask
me a question. If I have a press conference, I
get to ask the question.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
You'd like to see her do more press conferences.
Speaker 13 (25:38):
I'd like for to put more things in play where
she's out out Sam What is jd Vance talking about
that Trump saved Obama Kay tried to just destroy it
every point. I would put President Obama out to make that.
I would have President Clinton going on local TV stations
talking about how tariffs are going to destroy it economy
of Wisconsin or Michigan or anyway else because they have
(25:59):
never worked and we're just letting that go. She in
the whole campaign needs to be much more a grafted
and much less passionate than that.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
I agree with Carvel because then this is I'm going
to play something from uh I wanted to play yesterday,
didn't have a chance because obviously what was going on
with the storm. And we'll re turn that a little bit.
Speaker 14 (26:19):
But the.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Craziness of the two tiered system of tell me what
I want to hear, not the truth. Internal polling so polls,
as you guys all know, I can design a poll
that will fit the narrative that I want based on
how things are asked, where they're being asked, who they're
(26:46):
being asked to. You can get a poll to fit anything.
Internal polling is much more straightforward. And Mark Halprin, who's
arguably the best in this business when it comes to
what is going on inside the campaigns and politics in
general throughout DC on the federal level, through this at
(27:07):
all of the people on his two way Now if
you don't know what it is too as you can
go check him out. He does this amazing thing where
he has a essentially skype calls with movers and shakers
inside the political world on a daily basis and you're
allowed to participate and it is awesome and you get
an insight like never before. And he said, look, I
(27:29):
get internal polling from them on a daily basis. And
if you think this is smooth and easy and that
she's got a path three, you're wrong. For you, Harris.
Speaker 9 (27:36):
People on here complaining that we're talking about problems in
the Hero's campaign. You're welcome to put your head in
the sand about it. If you want to go watch
MSNBC Primetime and hear how great things are going for
the Haras campaign, you're welcome to do that. But if
you want to understand what's actually happening, we're here to
tell you. I just saw some new private polling today.
That's very robust private polling. She's in a lot of trouble,
(27:57):
she is.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
And one of the things that I've talked about in
the last couple days. And this goes for Donald Trump too.
I saw him yesterday. It was on Flagrant Was it
Flagrant One? With Andrew Schultz? And it was it was
it was very you want to watch a real fun
interesting interview, That's that was it. It's funny and and
there was some real meat in there. It was very
(28:20):
you know, and Trump's like, I'm having a good time.
Let's let's do more. And they were supposed to go
and they extended a little bit longer. And it wasn't
just all about politics. There's family, a bunch of other stuff.
But the people that are watching that, you've got them.
And it's the same thing for Harris you're on Stern
or you're on you know, Colbert, those people you've got,
(28:43):
it's that fishing in a different pond. And I don't
see anybody going and fishing in a different pond right now.
I think the mistake is being made. If I am Trump,
I am full court press in these seven states, and
I'm going to places that you would not think. I'm
going to talk to people you would not think i'd
be talking to because I got to get my message
(29:07):
out there, and I need to bring X amount of
people in each state over to my side so I
can get the Electoral College votes on my side. I
can win these states and I can get that to
seventy before she does. And I don't. I just think
now they're like, we're going to go to save spaces,
and then what's that's the big thing?
Speaker 10 (29:33):
Then?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
What are you just hoping that these two hundred thousand
people across these seven states are going to magically find
your message? Just like James Carvel said, you got to
take it to them, and I would be three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three. Atch you had Benson shows
your Twitter tweet at as text the program I watched
a bit of the debate last night. I was flipping
(29:55):
back and forth. It was so hard because I watched
the rest of it today. But debate between Carrie Lake
and Ruben and Gego, because you know, the Senate it's
going to be so close. Tan Cruz is in a
real tough race that is made tougher by the fact
that there are millions upon millions of dollars being poured
in there. Carrie Lake has struggled. I thought she did
(30:15):
an okay job last night. I thought Ruben Diego was
very stiff and very you know, here's a guy running
for Senate that is starting Congress, and it just seemed
very here's the sterile stat answer that I that I memorize,
and this is what you're going to get for me.
That being said, I just I don't see her winning this.
(30:38):
I mean, she says her internal polling has her up
by a bunch, but I just don't see her winning
this in a right now. I mean, I think something
would have to change, and I don't know if that
one debate is going to do it. And you know
that is something that you know, the Republicans have been
focusing on because they need this is close in the
Senate and losing the Senate and potentially losing the House.
(31:00):
I think they're going to hold onto the House. But man,
that Senate you need because even if you lost the
presidency and you've got the Senate in the House, well,
then you know there's that balance there if you lost
all three whoom Nelly three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benticero, it's your Twitter,
your instagram' talk about Roughgreens ruff greens dot COM's last year.
Did you see that some idiot yesterday during the storm
(31:27):
and the cop came and got the dog. Did you
see the dog and it's on a chain in the

the damn storm and a cop came and saved him.
I was just like, who are you?
Speaker 15 (31:40):

an animal. That being said, rough Greens, this is what

Speaker 1 (33:03):
IR like, yeah, so what, it's the Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 16 (33:09):
The defense is still trying to get did he released
on bail, arguing he offered to comply with restrictive conditions
that would have prevented any conceivable risk of flight or danger.
The hip hop mogul offered us a quester in his
fifty million dollar Miami estate limit visitors him give up
his cell phone, but the judge found did he a
threat to witnesses and a danger to women. Today he'll
appear before a new judge assigned to the case. Let's
(33:30):
not forget music. He was super danger to music as well.
I'm just saying because no, I don't know if he
killed some people or had them ordered.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
To be killed. I couldn't tell you that, probably, but allegedly,
who knows. You think he's gonna get out. I'm gonna
try everything. They're like, Oh, he's gonna sell everything he's got.
He's not gonna go anywhere. Yeah, they're not buying any
of that. I think we understand that they're not gonna
buy any of this. He is stuck there, said he
may never see the light of day.
Speaker 17 (33:54):
Again, a judge siding did he's quote substance abuse and
anger issues, saying the Dane is quite serious for threats
and intimidation of witnesses. Well, this is Combs has a
pile of charges stacked against him, including racketeering, conspiracy, and
sex trafficking stemming from allegations going back to two thousand
and eight. The fifty four year old's lawyers also filed
(34:15):
a motion for an evidentiary hearing accusing the federal government
of leaking hotels surveillance footage of him beating his former girlfriend,
Cassi Ventura.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
And that's important because first of all, the conspiracy sidt
we've talked about this. You're not going to have a
conspiracy of one. So who else is coming out? And
we're going to talk about that a little bit later.
The second portion of that right there is he's already
tampered with witnesses, so take away even the women side
of it. He's already tampered with witnesses. That's why the
chances of him getting out are are slim to none.
Speaker 16 (34:46):
The defense's accusing federal agents and prosecutors of tainting the
jury pool with unlawful leaks, taking aim at the well
publicized raids on Diddy's homes. Holmes is in jail, so
his attorneys are asking for an expedited trial beginning in
April or May.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Good luck with that. I'll just come back. It's going
to be more lawsuits filed the next couple days, and
then the question is starting to rise. Okay, who's next?
We're hearing that there are several high profile people that
are quietly in the Hollywood New York music scene settling
(35:26):
cases quietly with people. How real is that, I don't know,
But that doesn't stop you from being criminally charged. You
can go settle a case all day long, but criminally
if you've done some stuff, you know, and that's you know,
is he going to flip on people or people already
(35:47):
flipping on him? I think that's what a lot of
people are wondering. Who's flipping on who? And who's next?
Because if you think it's him alone as far as
big stars, I think you're fooling yourself. Three two, three, five, three,
twenty four to twenty three at chadventson show is your
Twitter second Hour coming up? A lot of stuff, more
updates on what's going on with Florida and the destruction
(36:08):
that Milton caused a bunch of other stuff to get
to as well, including the phone call between baby Net
Yahoo and Biden. How that goes, Chad Beton Chop, This.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
The big Bad Wolf was named Milton, and Milton came
in with a one two three punch and it started
with tornados. That's right, I said it. Kids. Tornadoes hit
and hit hard.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Milton's devastation impact Florida even before landfall the hurricane, spawning
at least thirty six reported tornadoes, with an astonishing one
hundred and thirty three tornado warnings issued, some turning deadly.
Multiple fatalities reported at a senior community near Fort Pierce
on Florida's east coast.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Absolutely horrific and the damage is widespread now. Just attle
while Ago Rondosantis holding a pressor as he talks about
the damage that has been done. And the damage is.
Speaker 18 (37:27):
Big overnight as the storm hit the state. We will
better understand the extent of the damage as the day progresses,
and you have people that are out there assessing damage
right now. First responders have been working all through the
night to help people who were in distress. And what
we can say is the storm was significant, but thankfully
(37:50):
this was not the worst case scenario. The storm did
weaken before landfall, and the storm surge, as initially reported,
has not been as significant overall as what was observed
for Hurricane Helene. Right now, it looks like Sarasota County
had the most significant storm surge, likely somewhere between eight
(38:11):
to ten feet. And remember with Helene, we had fifteen
to twenty feet up in Taylor County and.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
That's a blessing. So the storm surge one is bad.
The tornadoes were the thing that caused the most devastating
damage that I have seen. And I followed a lot
of people last night who were, you know, reporters reporting
on it. Who are they? They're just people and you're
going to you know, they are citizen journalists at its finest,
(38:38):
and they're real, they're raw, and they're giving it to
you in a way that you're not going to see
it anywhere else. And that was very fascinating to watch
last night. It's this thing unfolded.
Speaker 18 (38:47):
Rescue missions have been underway throughout the night. State Search
and rescue teams report at least forty eight individuals have
been rescued. As of zero six thirty. National Guard search
and rescue teams have worked overnight and successfully executed rescues
of families and pets on the west coast and from
the destruction of the tornadoes in east. In the central
(39:07):
and eastern parts of Florida, the Guard continues to work
in in the morning. Over sixty five hundred soldiers are
deployed throughout the state. Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has
made land and water rescues in panelas Hillsboro and Pascoe County.
The State Guard has also been engaged in search and rescue,
assisting with floodwater evacuations as well as damage assessments.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
And there's plenty of damage assessments, and there's plenty of rescues.
I mean, there was a family of fifteen that got
rescued and you're like, what the hell are you doing there?
You know, there's some people were some people couldn't all right,
let's be honest, there are people out there that couldn't
afford to leave. They didn't have any money. Some people
were in situations where either're looking around, they've got one
car and you know, ten fifteen people. Some people thought
(39:49):
I can withstand this, and some people, you know, they
did it fine. I followed last night this lady who
in an apartment fifteen stories twenty stories above right there
on the canal, and she, you know, and several others
were essentially inside of that apartment and elsewhere giving you
(40:13):
a blow by blow with what was happening. And she
was on News Nation and a couple other places last
night because you know, her stuff had gotten picked up
off TikTok and everything, and it was fascinating to watch.
But there were some stupid people, because stupid people do
stupid things, you know. And then there were some people
like Lieutenant Dan, who's everybody's been following. Is this guy who,
(40:34):
much like Lieutenant Dan, lives kind of in a boat,
has one leg, a little off the beaten path, maybe
kind of homeless. But he was stood at all. Stayed
in the little boat last night, and you could see
that he's still alive out there.
Speaker 18 (40:48):
More from DeSantis, there were currently three point one million
accounts without power. There have been six hundred and thirty
five thousand restorations since Hurricane Milton hit Florida. Of course,
there are fifty thousand plus linemen that have been pre staged.
A lot of what they'll do this morning is likely
(41:10):
assess the damage and then began restoration operations very quickly.
And we appreciate everybody that's in that fight because that's
very important for a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
That's Roda Santis right there as presser just took place
a little while ago. The question is where is it now?
Speaker 3 (41:26):
It's moving over the Atlantic. Now there are flash flood
warnings because this has come with foot foot and a
half of rain, and there will still be on shore
three to five feet of surge from Cape Canaveral in
the Space coast right up to Daytona and Jacksonville, so
that with title times could be problematic.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
So all in all, though not as bad as it
could have been. But the thing that got people was
the tornadoes and watching some of those people film some
of that stuff last night was fascinating. You're just sitting
there like, oh my god, look at this. These people
are filming this stuff. This is this is the beauty
(42:04):
of the modern times that we live in, is we
have stuff that is taking place in real time that
we've never had really an opportunity to see and people
to discuss people who are in the midst of it all,
which is great, but then on the other side of it,
you have this insanity of you know, disinformation, misinformation. The
fight that is, we shouldn't be in these situations where
(42:26):
we're sitting there talking about this at a time like this.
But I don't know, you know anymore how you fight this.
And part of that is the fact that we've got
so much information. And we've talked about the confirmation bias, right,
everybody's got their built in anchor beliefs and they're no
longer looking for information than looking for that affirmation, you know,
(42:50):
and they're going out. I want the affirmation. I want
to be told what I want to be told. I
already think the government's bad or I already think the
government is the end all to be all in greatness.
That's not reality.
Speaker 19 (42:59):
It is.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
It isn't And it's unfortunate that we are in this
position where it's a daily fight, and I get it
on a daily you know, from a lot of you
who I know, say, you know, what's funny is what
I get more and more every day is people will
send me stuff, gone is this real? And it's look
it is even for me, a person who does this
(43:22):
for a living. You've got to research the hell out
of it, and that is a hard thing to do
in today's world because the places you used to be
able to go that we're going to give you an
honest assessment of something with very little bias, now all
have so much biases built in that Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Is it real.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Some of it may be real, some of it may
not be real. But I've got to go to four
other places to find it out. And that is frustrating.
And you know already the disinformation has started.
Speaker 19 (43:51):
And it's.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
I hear it again. I hear from you guys as well.
How pissed you guys get at this? Because it is frustrating.
I just want the truth, that's it. And I know
that the truth isn't as simple as black and white,
because human beings are evolved and there's always going to
be somebody who's had an incident. And see that's the thing,
somebody has an incident, whatever that incident is in dealing
with Let's say this, and it doesn't go the way
(44:17):
that you know, the government said it. You go, you're
going to get seven hundred fifty bucks, and it said
you got four hundred dollars. People automatically go, yeah, there
it is, and they take that one thing, and if
there's a billion other things that point to what the
government said should happen, then what happens you don't care
because you now you were looking for that. And on
(44:38):
the other side, if they tell you you're gonna get
seven hundred fifty bucks, but that's just the beginning of it,
and everybody gets only seven hundred fifty bucks and they
really don't get anything else the way they were promised.
The people will ignore the fact that all the other
things they were promised, well, that that never really happened,
and that they got the money they were Probably it's
(45:00):
that frustration and that's part of that bias that we
have nowadays and finding out what is disinformation. It is
becoming a full time job, even for me, and I've
already got a lot of full time jobs. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at you Benson's show Your Twitter,
there was a big phone call yesterday with this guy
named bib net Yahoo and this other guy named Biden
(45:22):
talk about that a lot of other stuff to get
to as well. Buller Capital, What are you doing in
this time of your planning for retirement. Do you know
what's going on in your account? Do you have any
idea how maybe this may affect your retirement, maybe for
the good. Once you get a second opinion a risk

send you a common sense investing guide And what they
do is they're going to go through your portfolio and
they're going to show you what they do, which is
all about risk management, lower risk, lower cost, lowder volatility.
But also Zach always talks about what's the upside potential?
Are you in things that you shouldn't be? And based
on what you want to do with your retirement, Not
everybody's retirement's the same. You may want to sit on

Speaker 1 (46:58):
Chad Benson.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Here in Lebanon.
Speaker 20 (47:01):
It's being interpreted basically as a threat Nanya who said
if they want to save the country from falling into
the abyss of a long war and facing similar destruction
to Gaza, then they should take this opportunity now to
overthrow Hesbala. And they believe that they see that as
essentially an ultimatum.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
Yeah, you think he's given you an out, guys, get
out from the tyranny that is a sixth century dumb
assary that is not interested in anything other than killing
the Jews and controlling you. That's a good get out, right,
there if you'd like to know now, yesterday where all
(47:42):
the stuff's going on with Milton. There was a phone
call Biden and that Yahoo and I think Kamala Harris
all jumped on a phone call together.
Speaker 21 (47:54):
It was thirty minutes long. It was direct, it was productive.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
It was anything but direct. It was anything but productive
when it came to what is going on between the
two and by that I mean net Yahoo and Israel
and Biden.
Speaker 21 (48:12):
In this administration, the US and the Israeli government have
been discussing, have had discussion since last week, certainly since
after the Iran attack, and so that those discussions continued
with the President and the Prime Minister.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
Let me tell you how it went goding to sources,
they're not telling us what's going on. Why would they.
It's the old saying that we use all the time.
Better to ask for forgiveness than for permission. You're not
going to get it. They do not trust this administration,
and why would they. They're over this, They're done. They
want out from under the ridiculousness of always holding you back.
(48:52):
And I tell everybody this who is a fan of Palestine,
because it's the new apartheid. And I could wear that
around my neck has awesomeness. You know, you idiots out there,
useful idiots and the rest of the groups that would
like to see the Jews die. The fact is Israel
allows you to exist in the way that you think
(49:14):
you allow them to exist. At any given time, they
could wipe you off the map, but they don't. But
I think they've had enough and they look at this
administration and say to self self, no more, I'm not
talking to you guys anymore like that. You plead all
the time, don't escalate, don't escalate, don't escalate. Guess what
(49:38):
others have escalated. And now that the bill has come
due because they wrote a bunch of checks that their
ass couldn't count, we're going to do what we have
to do, and we're going to see what regime change
looks like. I wholeheartedly believe and I've been saying this,
Lebanon is not it, the Hooties is not it, Hamas
(50:01):
is not it. The endgame in this situation is going
to be in maybe Netnyahuo's you know, last throw of
the dice in his political career is let's see what
regime change looks like in Iran, and it does that
help us at all. We're gonna find that out. We'll
(50:22):
find that out sooner rather than later, because I think
that conversation yesterday wasn't as friendly and as straightforward as
I think that they want it to be, like, Oh,
(50:44):
come on, let's do let's not that's galay. Let's no.
Speaker 17 (50:46):
No, no, no, no no.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
They're going in. They're going in three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Shed Benton Show.
Is your Twitter tweet at us text the program. I
love hearing from all of you. Obviously, big story here though,
is what is happening with the massive storm that became
Storm Nato. For the most part, so Milton rolled in
(51:10):
and absolutely crushed several areas. But along with it it brought, Yes,
the rising tides, if you will, not as high as
a lot of people thought in the storm surge. But
tornadoes seem to be the story of this one.
Speaker 22 (51:29):
One of the blessings for us is that we didn't
see that predicted storm surge, so that was that saved
a lot.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Yeah, but the tornadoes, I think surprised a lot of people.
Speaker 23 (51:44):
In this Tampa neighborhood. It is a mess of down trees,
and power lines. Hurricane Milton really unleashed a combination of
dangerous threats and it is like this block after block,
but across the state of Florida, it was a deadly
tornado outbreak that caused some of the worst damage.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
Yeah, so we'll find out in the coming days what
that looks like. And again it's going to be the number.
What's the number? And I'm not talking about death. So
when we talk about the destruction that is being done.
When they talk about natural disasters, it is rarely about oh,
we lost one hundred thousand people. That doesn't happen. We
are in a much better position than ninety nine point
(52:22):
nine percent of the world. We knew exactly where this
has coming. We can almost pinpoint what was going to arrive.
It is about the cost. What is the cost of this?
How much is this going to cost? It will be
the biggest cost in history. When you factor in the
fact that you know inflation where we are today the
account you know how much is going to cost to rebuild.
(52:43):
They're talking one hundred and seventy five billion plus dollars.
And you wonder why insurance companies look around and go,
we can't do this and you're going to build your
house in the same place that it was before, and
what does that end up doing? That ends up making
it so it's expensive to ensure, which is gonna bring
housing prices down because you're gonna be paying the same
amount for your mortgage as you are for your insurance
(53:06):
three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chat Benson Show, what's your Twitter tweet?
Speaker 9 (53:11):
At?
Speaker 2 (53:11):
Is text to program? A lot of stuff still to
get to on this Thursday. Like what you say, some
fun stuff? All right, we got a little fun stuff.
I'm not telling you. Okay, all right, I'll let you
in on this one. All right, just this, just this time.
We've got a fat Bear and we know who the
fat Bear winner is. That's right, Fat Bear winner has
(53:34):
been announced. Is there are you guys ready for this?
Is there a defending champion? That is champion again? We
shall discuss. Plus, you guys know my Guilty Pleasure. This
is the Hallmark Movies. So we're getting ready to our
Halloween countdown start next week with the Hallmark movies Christmas
(53:56):
Super Guilty Pleasure. There's a reality show where you could
be the next Honkre. Let's talk about that a lot
of other stuff.
Speaker 24 (54:01):
It is the Chat Benson shown, Chad.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
Benson Shoe, the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 8 (54:35):
Yeah, we have two birds actually with us right now.
We've got a kappy bara in our garage. Lemurs in
our bathroom.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Oh my gosh, sounds like a party. That is uh
Doria of Jungle Doria's Fun and Emporium. I guess out
there in Florida. Those are the animals that she's got
that she had to take home. I don't think i'd
deal with Lemur. Copy bars, Yes, we've got cop copy bars.
(55:05):
Copy it's a giant guinea pig. I'm a copy bar.
That the coolest animals in the world. So, uh, Lemur,
I'm not a limber dude. Limber just feels like a
lot of work. But we forget that. These animals are like, hey,
you guys are gonna get us out of here right
because we're in animal jail and uh, we ain't done
anything wrong. So if you guys could just take us
to your bathroom. I saw somebody post something last night
(55:31):
that so they're in the outskirts of Tampa and they
have a house and they stuck it out because they
had too many animals and they're like, people, ask us
what we're gonna do with our chickens. They open up
a door. There's like five or six tents in this room,
(55:52):
and there's chickens in all of the tents.
Speaker 10 (55:57):
Oh my lord.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
Three two, three, five, three, twenty four to twenty three.
Atch Edmonton shows your Twitter or Instagram. We'll have more
on this, so be careful what you click. I agree.
Like today, I was having to do a bunch of
stuff for so I have all my editing equipment everything.
In one of the things, I was adding a plugin,
(56:20):
as they call it, so I can go to these
plugins and you know, clean audio up, produce stuff at
the click of a button. It's really cool, but you
got to you gotta add this. You have to agree
to this. And of course we saw what happened with
the insanity of the Disney Plus lawsuit. We'll get to
that in a minute. But Uber now has their own
(56:42):
lawsuit that they have successfully defended because somebody clicked. I agree.
Speaker 25 (56:50):
Georgia and her husband John McGuinty were in an Uber
on the way home from dinner. The accident happened in
an instant.
Speaker 8 (56:56):
We went right through the light and there was a
loud bang and a hard crash.
Speaker 25 (57:03):
Their driver ran a red light. The couple suffered multiple
broken bones. Georgia had internal injuries after the twenty twenty
two crash.
Speaker 8 (57:10):
They kind of got me out on a stretcher and
it was like pouring rain on top of me, and
I could hear John calling to me from the other ambulance.
What you've just described.
Speaker 26 (57:20):
There's emotional damage to isn't there.
Speaker 8 (57:23):
Yeah, more than more than a person could imagine.
Speaker 2 (57:28):
So there they are. Their Uber driver gets into a wreck.
So the Uber driver gets into a wreck, it's his fault.
You're injured, Naturally, it's going to cost you money. You've
got to turn to not only insurance, but lawyers. So
what do you think happens?
Speaker 25 (57:44):
The couple wants to sue Uber, but the New Jersey
Superior Court recently ruled they can't because Georgia agreed to
the company's terms of service, which includes something called an
arbitration provision, waiving the right to a trial by jury
in the case of an accident. But the McGuinty said
Georgia didn't agree to the terms of use. For The
most recent update was her twelve year old daughter using
(58:05):
her mom's Uber Eats account.
Speaker 8 (58:06):
I think she was ordering pizza.
Speaker 26 (58:08):
Pizza, yeah, and waving in the process your right to
a trial by a jury if you got an accident, right.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
So go over this again. Your daughter twelve agrees to
something for Uber eats so they could get a pizza.
In the update, you didn't know about it. This isn't
Uber that you would think transporting humans. This is Uber
(58:37):
transporting snacks. And you now have to go by that.
Speaker 25 (58:46):
The court ruled in part that because Georgia agreed to
previous versions of the terms of use herself, she was
bound by them. In a statement to NBC News, Uber
writes the plaintif agreed to Uber's terms of service on
three separate occasions, including when she first signed up and
twenty fifteen. If they go to arbitration, it's confidential. Their
dispute is settled in private by a third party. The
(59:07):
process often benefits companies facing liabilities.
Speaker 18 (59:11):
They won't get bad press, and an arbitrator is usually
less likely to give out a big damages award than
a jury of someone's peers.
Speaker 2 (59:19):
Because the jury of peers, you're gonna come together for
that right, Like the jury of peers we're all going
to come together and we're going to look around and
go could have been any one of us, and we
don't want to be in that situation. And you can
paint that as the big, bad evil corporation, and there's
sympathetic side of it and the empathy and the next thing,
you know, you get a huge amount of money where
(59:40):
the arbitrator is going to come and go. Our is
going to probably be a limit on this. We're going
to look at this. I'm going to come at it
in an analytical way, in a way where there's very
little emotion. So I'm not going to take any of
that stuff in the detail. This is going to be private,
and I'm going to hand something out and all because
you click yes, but not you somebody else and you
didn't really have a choice. That's the other side of it.
(01:00:00):
So if I don't click I agree, Do I still
get my pizza? No? Okay.
Speaker 25 (01:00:06):
The ruling comes just months after a man tried to
sue Disney for the wrongful death of his wife after
she had an allergic reaction in a restaurant in Disney World. Initially,
the company said he was bound by the terms of service.
He agreed to on his Disney Plus streaming account. But
in August, after the case got a lot of attention,
the company changed course, waiving arbitration and saying, with such
(01:00:28):
unique circumstances as the ones in this case, we believe
this situation warrants a sensitive approach to expedeta resolution. The
McGuinty's hope their case could lead to changes in the law.
Speaker 8 (01:00:38):
I think that we need as a society to move
to try to protect consumers.
Speaker 27 (01:00:45):
I just.
Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
The issue and this is one of those things that
is a problem. Is it's blanket. And I understand why
companies do is I think we all do because of
how much ridiculousness in the lawsuit. I have a good
friend who is an attorney, one of the big attorneys
in the country, and she represents her firm, represents like
(01:01:08):
she represents Los Angeles County. Like, oh, like what part
she represents los Angeles County's like that's and you know,
she'll tell me all the time, they'll look at people
and go, you can pay them fifty grand, they'll go away,
or you can fight it for three hundred thousand and
a million, but no guarantee that you're going to win.
The choice is yours. So I understand the cee why
aeing it. And remember the Disney thing too, is they
(01:01:31):
got bad press, and that guy had every right to sue,
and that was Disney plus that wasn't even the same thing.
But the interesting thing about that is he wanted fifty grand.
His wife died. They went to a place that was
supposed to be a special food place specifically for people
(01:01:55):
who have allergies. Told the people several times during the
interaction with the waiter of the allergies that she had
to peanuts, and they ended up getting your peanuts anyways,
and she ended up dying and they only wanted fifty grand,
(01:02:19):
and they're like, nope, let's go to arbitration. And the
press was so bad for Disney eventually they said, no,
we better figure this out outside of that, what did
that cost you?
Speaker 26 (01:02:27):
Well, they're going to appeal this decision to the New
Jersey Supreme Court. But guys, you know, this is a
reminder none of us reason those terms are service. I
don't think it a lot of people don't, but it
is a binding contract and when you click yes to
use any number of apps, it means that you are
bound by the terms that you agree to.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
And what is the choice that you not use the product?
And I think that's the frustrating thing for a lot
of people. The choice is if I don't do this,
am I going to be able to use the product?
Speaker 10 (01:02:56):
Yes?
Speaker 15 (01:02:56):
Or no?
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Maybe not? So that's the whole protection side of it.
What is the protection for individuals like you and I
in a situation like that, and especially now that everything
is kind of, you know, cross pollenized when it comes
to corporations. So you click yes to corporate a that
has nothing to do in your real world of the
(01:03:19):
clothing company that you're going to buy something from in
six months, you think, and what ends up happening is, well,
I just wanted to watch a movie. Yeah, but they
also own this clothing company, and you agreed across the
board and you're like, oh jeez, three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at you had
Benson Show? Is your Twitter tweet at as text? The
program a nightmare? Indeed, when it comes to what is
(01:03:42):
taking place in the digout of the aftermath of Milton
and thank god it wasn't as bad as it could
have been.
Speaker 18 (01:03:55):
The storm did week and before landfall and the storm
surge has initially rearded has not been as significant overall
as what was observed for Hurricane Helene.
Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
That exciting voice there is Ronda Santis and in this
pressured time, he has handled this thing really really well,
has shown very strong leadership, and it has been a
you know, I've said this a lot about it. I
think he would have done a hell of a job
as president. Could just never get the job. And that's
(01:04:29):
the issue. That's the issue with him, hell of a job.
Couldn't get the job. Why because we live at a
time where part of getting the job is being able
to entertain the people. I guess, are you not entertained?
Speaker 18 (01:04:43):
We had over eighty thousand people that were into shelters
overnight as the storm hit the state. We will better
understand the extent of the damage as the day progresses and.
Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
We'll find that out. The big thing, though, was the tornadoes.
So if you're just joining, the tornadoes ran rough shot
one hundred and thirty three tornado warnings, several that came
a you know, we started as water spouts came ashore, others,
you know, in other areas. So those are definitely the
(01:05:18):
thing I think people are taken away from this is
the the massive amount of dam it's the large swath
of it. Not as bad as it could have been.
Doesn't mean there isn't fatalities.
Speaker 18 (01:05:29):
Please be cautious of hazards. We have post storm fatalities
almost every storm, and a lot of these fatalities are avoidable.
Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
He even talked about like it's cut day, so you
get able to go out there and cut a bunch
of stuff up, and then he goes and don't cut
yourself to hell with your chainsaw, Mike, you have to
put that. It's Florida Man three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chet Benson Show. Is
your Twitter tweet. That is the program left hearing from
(01:06:01):
all of you. We're going to talk a little bit
about bears. Oh yeah, a little bit about bears. We're
talking about that. Don't you go anywhere Halloween? Oh yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, and Hallmark Christmas movies. Do that straight at first,
rough Greens, ruff greens dot com, slash Chat, vitamins and minerals,
probiotics and make a three six nine. All this stuff
(01:06:22):
here is talk about all the time, all the good stuff,
the natural stuff that's going to remember dog food is dead.
Food nutrition isn't brown. It's great. Doctor Dennis Black, naturopathic
doctor who formulated rough Greens, wants you to try a
Jumpstart trial bag for free. All he asks you to
do do is cover the cost of shipping. It is
truly that simple. On top of that, they have Mealgreens.
Now you've heard of meat. Talk about our cat. He's
(01:06:44):
a big boy. His name is Angus. He looked like
he survived a hurricane. He looked like a hit by
lighting a whole bunch because he had horrific allergies. We
didn't know what it was. Tried everything, even taking him in,
getting them shots, doing tests, all these kind of things.
Finally Mealgreens comes out and doctor Black says, Chad, try this, okay, man,
It's changed everything. He had. The con of shame not anymore.
The dogs were terrified. They didn't know what to do
(01:07:05):
with it. It was like it's a satellite dish walking
at us and they just left them alone. Con of
shame is off. He's walking around, he's happy, he's healthy,
and the hair is growing back. Thank you rough Greens
and thank you Meogreens. I want you to try a
Jumpstart trial bag of either Mealgreens and rough Greens. Now,
all they ask you to do is cover the cost
of shipping. Truly that simple? Are you ffgreens dot com
slash chat? That's Roughgreens dot com slash Chad or called
(01:07:27):
eight at eight ninety my dog. You cover the costs
of shipping, they send you a jumpstart trial bag for free,
Roughgreens dot com slash chat. It is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
If you like talk radio like Chad Benson likes his meals,
you've come to the perfect place for takeout.
Speaker 28 (01:07:53):
Well, guys, Halloween is only a few weeks away, and
I saw that Google just revealed their official list of
this year's most popular costumes. Yep, this year, the most
popular costume is Beetlejuice, and the most popular couples costume
is still annoying.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
Yeah, I don't do those. I don't do those. My
wife she does her own thing. But I have got
several costumes that I make costume changes. I'm kind of
like it's like a concert with me and you guys
will see now that we've got ourselves set up have
several costume changes throughout the Halloween time period, especially if
we start to count down the movies, and we do
do that. If you're new to the program, we're gonna
(01:08:34):
have our top thirteen scariest movies of all time variety
released there today. I'll go over a bit of those
with you coming up in a bit. What about state Wise? Who?
Speaker 23 (01:08:43):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
When? Helen Right? What state am I in? What's the
scary movie there?
Speaker 29 (01:08:46):
It's officially Spooky Seasons, So how about a look at
some classic horror flicks. AI powered sament platform likewise gave
us a sneak peek at there map revealing which movies
were voted the scariest in every state and the Doz
really taking over, the Conjuring, the Exorcist, and the Thing
dominating coast to coast, But which flick was the Scariest's.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Gonna take care of you?
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
You don't think I'm gonna take care of you?
Speaker 30 (01:09:10):
That's hereditary?
Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Any of the so scary. It's twenty eighteen. It came
out that one scarier. If you want to add it
to your list, it's scary. Do I think it's the scariest? Again,
We're gonna go over you and give you ours. We
count it down and I do. It's a big deal.
I like it. It's one of my favorite things. And
especially at the time when we've got all the stuff
going on, from from the tragedies and the natural disasters
(01:09:34):
to the of course election chaos and all the craziness
happened there, it's good to sit back and go, all right, cool,
let's get it on, let's talk about it. Let's talk
about scary stuff for real, shall we. One of my
other guilty pleasures, and it is a guilty pleasure. And
I hear from a lot of you guys, both men
and women, that it is to your guilty pleasure is
(01:09:55):
Hallmark Christmas Movies. Now, they just made their announcement of
their movies. We'll be going over that probably tomorrow. Some
of the ones we're looking forward to. But I didn't
know this because well, I would have won. That's why
they didn't tell me. But I could have starred in
one of these based on reality show that's now coming
out as of October thirty. First, what.
Speaker 31 (01:10:16):
In a Hallmark First Wow, we're putting ten unknown talents
together in one house.
Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
I want to be a Hallmark leading man.
Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Who are they?
Speaker 31 (01:10:25):
That's still top secret, but we can tell you they'll
get the star making chance of a lifetime. This is
not going to be an easy ride to compete for
a leading role in a Hallmark Christmas movie and action,
but winning will take more than good looks.
Speaker 8 (01:10:40):
The Hallmark leading man should have a call.
Speaker 31 (01:10:42):
They'll be tested to show that they embody all the
Hallmark magic they need.
Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
To carry a movie.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
Ah, I just want to cry.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Well, they'll need plenty of holiday spirits, charm.
Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
But it's not near as hard as I'm falling for
you and a.
Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
Whole lot of heart.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
Look your guys so much because.
Speaker 9 (01:11:01):
In the end, only one, unfortunately you're going home for
the holidays, will become mister Christmas.
Speaker 24 (01:11:10):
That should have been me.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
Oh my god, you know what I'm gonna do. I'm
gonna do this. I'm doing a Hallmark election Christmas movie
with Trump and Kamla. Be prepared, It's coming. Be prepared,
It is coming. And finally, on this fun and frivolity
on this segment of the Chad Benson Show, Fat Bears,
who doesn't like a fat Bear? The Fat Bear Contest
(01:11:35):
is over in the winter.
Speaker 32 (01:11:36):
Is the winner of this year's fat Bear Contest Along
the Brooks River in Alaska's cat My National Park is
a Mama bear named Grazer. She defeated a twelve hundred
pound behemoth named Chunk for the second year in a row.
Some see it as her way of avenging the death
of her cob at the pause of Chunk a few
months ago. During the contest, every year, human fans of
the webcam set up along the river vote for whichever
(01:11:56):
bear they think best exemplifies preparedness for winter by the
fat they've accumulated over the summer.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
Now both of them are very fat, but Chunk is
a beast. If it's about being ginormous, Chunk should have won,
but apparently.
Speaker 14 (01:12:13):
So.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Grazer's had some issues. A couple of her cups were
swept over waterfall, where Chunk, the most dominant bear on
the river, attacked them both. According to explored dot Org,
one died of his injuries, but Chunk was beaten by Grazer.
She is a highly defensive mother. It is about twenty
years old and she's currently raising her third letter three two, three, five,
(01:12:36):
twenty four to twenty three At Chad Benson Show is
Your Twitter Tweet anis Texas program third hour more on
Milton and the damage that Milton did, a lot of
other stuff to get to including what's trending. It is
the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:22):
Big Bad and tornadoes. The hurricane brought Old Milt there
rolled on through Florida. The damaged well, they're trying to
assess all of that the day. The surprise, though, was Natter's.
Speaker 4 (01:13:37):
Milton's devastation impacting Florida even before landfall the hurricane spawning
at least thirty six reported tornadoes, with an astonishing one
hundred and thirty three tornado warnings issued, some turning deadly.
Multiple fatalities reported at a senior community near Fort Pierce
on Florida's East coast.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Yeah, it was a beast, There was no doubt about that.
But that being said, as bad as it was, could
have been a lot worse.
Speaker 18 (01:14:09):
The storm did bring much destruction and damage. Tornadoes ravaged
parts of the east coast of the state, Flooding occurred
on the west and east coast, and strong winds lashed
the state, especially in Penellas, Hillsboro, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Across the board are without power at about three million
people give or take are without powder power, but it's
coming on the thing though. That was a blessing. Was
the storm surge or lack thereof.
Speaker 18 (01:14:39):
There may end up being more overall damage there may not,
I don't know, but definitely the surge did not reach
Hellene levels a lot of places in Penellas County and
they had negative storm surge because it sucked the water
out of the bay. So in terms of all that,
where you'd see the entire Tampa Bay area underwater, that
did not happen.
Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
And thank God for that. So still destruction, still a nightmare,
Still digging out of this thing, and they're going to
be for days. There is no doubt about that. When
you go and look at the damage that's done and
the assessment that has to go into this thing in
the next couple, uh, you know, days and hours. There
is no doubt that this thing did a ton of damage.
But that being said, could it have been much worse? Absolutely?
(01:15:23):
Are there some deaths, yes, there is? Uh. Is it
as bad as it could have been? No, And it
will take a few days for everybody to you know,
kind of wrap their head around what this looks like.
In you know, the next seven days or so, give
or take it was awesome to watch though, I mean
(01:15:43):
nature was on full display. We joke about it here,
right and Nature, we'll mess you. Nature just reared its
head and said, all right, check this out. Look what
I can do if I want to look what I
can do if if I need to look, what I
can do if I decide I want to rear my
ugly head. And there were residents in several places that
got themselves in trouble. There are residents in several places
(01:16:08):
that were in positions where you're asking yourself, what in
ged him are you doing? There were situations where, you know,
I think people were surprised because I think they were
expecting much worse. It was the size of it, though,
the size of it that was freaking amazing. You saw
(01:16:29):
how large this thing was. That's whut You know they
control the weather. They don't control the weather. Enough of
that Again, I'm still asking who. But now the cleanup begins,
and that includes things like water, some of the stuff
that we don't even think about when it comes to
you know, stuff like oh, yeah, water.
Speaker 22 (01:16:46):
In these types of storms with eighteen inches of water,
that water gets mixed in with the waste water.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Yeah, and the chance of getting sick is very real,
so you just got to be careful. There's tons of
bottled water they've brought. They were ready for this in
a way that you would like to think government and
people would be ready for stuff. But they were really,
really ready for this, and it is a I think
and this is just me here spitballing some of you.
(01:17:17):
I can't stand Ronda Santis, but he's doing a hell
of a job. He is doing an absolute hell of
a job on this. And I think the state, local,
the Feds, everybody working together, and it's not going to
be perfect. I mean, we talked about it early in
the show. I mean, you go back to how awful
(01:17:37):
Katrina was and the response of Katrina, and it was awful.
I mean, if you remember how bad it was, and
it was so bad, it was such a freaking nightmare.
This is the guy who wrote maybe the pre eminent
book on what went wrong in Katrina. His name is
(01:17:57):
Doug Brinkley, talking about how bad it was, how everybody
in the world had a part to play in its failure,
and yes, the infamous line that Bush delivered, Well.
Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
George W. Bush did a terrible leadership job during that crisis.
He kind of acted like nothing was happening wrong. For
the first days he had been in San Diego where
he played air guitar, and then he did the famous
flyover being very detached from the devastation, and that photograph
that damaged his presidency immensely of him just peering down
at the abyss. Then when he did come back and
(01:18:30):
land in the Gulf South, he put his arm around
Michael Brown saying, Brownie did heck of a job.
Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job.
Speaker 7 (01:18:38):
That sound bite became the Bush SoundBite. It was about
dysfunction everybody. It was even connected in a way to
the war in Iraq. The Bush administration saying things are
going great when things weren't going great. So he gets
it was very poor during that leadership moment. FEMA did terrible,
as we all know.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
And FEMA did do terrible and on the local level
they horrific. And by the way, for those of you
who don't know, one of the issues that went on
during this was they didn't want the FEDS to come
in the locals because they were doing wrong. And who
ended up going to jail like mayors and you know,
(01:19:17):
council members who are celebrated or celebrating the tenth anniversary
of Katrina in prison. So it was a nightmare across
the board. They failed. And what he points out of
the book, who succeeded the American people, They were the
ones who came together. They were the ones who ended
up being a big part of the rescue. They were
(01:19:38):
the ones who ended up being a big part of
really this entire kind of you know, because Katrina was
so bad. I remember we had moved to uh, San Antonio,
and Katrine was so bad that there were people that
are you know, at the time when we lived we
(01:19:59):
moved to San They're like, yeah, we lived in the
you know, trailer for you know, a couple of years,
and then we ended up moving. There were there were
trailers still there. There were people that were still living
trailers years afterwards. Stuff that wasn't repaired. How bad the
Army Corps of Engineers were when it came to the
way that they had built some of the levees and stuff,
and how they had inspected him. It was a disaster
(01:20:21):
from top to bottom. And it was led by yeah,
Brownie and and and you know, Bush did a crappy job.
He did you guys, remember how crappy he did. You guys,
do you remember remember Kanye? Remember that should we play it?
We should play it? If you guys don't remember, So,
like MTV did a big thing to raise money for
Katrina and stuff, and Kanye and Mike Myers were up
(01:20:45):
there and uh so they're like standing next to each other,
and uh well.
Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
They portray us in the media.
Speaker 33 (01:20:53):
We see a black family that says they're looting, see
a white family that says they're looking.
Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
For food, and you know, it's been five days.
Speaker 33 (01:21:02):
Because most of the people are black, I've even been
shopping before even giving a donation. So now I'm calling
my business manager right now to see what is the
biggest amount.
Speaker 32 (01:21:14):
I can give.
Speaker 33 (01:21:15):
And just to imagine if I was, if I was
down there, and those are those are my people down there,
to anybody out there that wants to do anything that
we can help with the set up the way America
is set up to help the poor, the black people,
the less.
Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
Well off as slow as possible.
Speaker 33 (01:21:33):
I mean, this is Red Cross is doing everything they can.
We already realize a lot of the people that could
help are at war right now, fighting another way, and
they've given them permission to go down and shoot us.
Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
And the whole time this is going on, Mike Myers
is like moving a little bit further away, a little
bit further away, a little bit further away. And of
course the money.
Speaker 33 (01:21:55):
Line, George Bush doesn't care about black people.
Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
Oh, Kanye, little did we know? But we know now?
Huh you think that was the craziest thing he was
going to do? Whoo look into the future three two, three, five, three,
twenty four to twenty three at Jed Benson Show. Is
your Twitter tweet as text the program This portion of
the programmer is brought to you by Better Help. What
is something that scares you?
Speaker 10 (01:22:23):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:22:24):

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
No, it's time to find out what's trending. What's trending Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia?
Speaker 10 (01:23:51):
Sero what True?
Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
Let's find out what's treading on the old inter whims?
Shall we? On this Thursday? Hurricane Milton kick into crapead
of Florida Number one training thing on Yahoooooooooo Mets WNBA Finals.
You mean after Caitlin Clark goes out, there still play.
(01:24:22):
Apparently that's true. Raphael Nadal twenty two Grand Slam Titles,
has announced his retirement, Jim Wall says he wants to
get rid of the electoral College because he's an idiot.
But he's a nice guy, Guys, he's a super nice guy,
but he's a blithering idiot. We've talked about that throughout
the show. The fact that you would want to do that, well, chat,
(01:24:44):
it just should be the most popular, really, because if
you're gonna do just the most popular, then why wouldn't
I offer everybody everything they ever wanted? Therefore I win
all the time. Oh and oh, by the way, if
we're gonna do that, if we're going to do the
most popular, get rid of the electoral College, then all
of these states that don't have any kind of real population,
(01:25:10):
and in fact, in some states that do, but just
those cities have a big population. So let's say Phoenix,
for instance, in Arizona, you no longer matter the rest
of you. There'll be six, maybe eight places that people
pay attention to, and the rest of you, well, you'll
be asked out. Lisa Marie Pressley her new memoirs, The
(01:25:31):
Untold Stories. Apparently she kept her kid on ice. Just creepy,
af is what I'm trying to say. Set over to Twitter,
number one twenty things. Simply it's easy to see what
it is. Hurricane Milton chicken ass horrible became a tornado
(01:25:53):
machine overnight, about three million people without power. Some powers
coming on and you know, maybe you're listening to this
right now. A little bit later in the day. I
don't know what it looks like, but there are thirty
seven thousand linemen there. I saw in Terrell. That's just
one of the big resorts that Trump owns. Put a
bunch of them up there for free last night. But
(01:26:15):
this is going to be a digout for days and days.
Bob Costas Dayers putin Lieutenant Dan, not from the movie
Gary Sneeze phenomenal, Actually a guy that called Lieutenant Dan
in Tampa. Follow him on TikTok. He is early similar
to Lieutenant Dan, except without all the wealth, but he
(01:26:36):
is missing a leg and stayed on his boat last night.
Sixty minutes. Howard stern All trendy Tropicana field also trending
because well it fell apart and finally over to Google.
The number one trending thing in Google Milton, Florida, Sarasota
(01:26:59):
live cam Saint Lucy County, Tropicana field so we don't
know about Tropicana Field Baseball. That's where the Rays play.
I think I called them the Devil Rays. I don't
think they're called the Devil Rays anymore.
Speaker 33 (01:27:16):
But the.
Speaker 2 (01:27:19):
Part of it because it's an indoor stadium, so part
of it got just torn completely off, and now it's
outdoor indoor.
Speaker 5 (01:27:28):
A big portion of it has ripped off. We are
looking inside Tropicana Field. We are seeing extreme damage to
try we had actually there was a report we saw
online earlier of a fire and we were waiting to
confirm that and now we just made it up to
the fifth floor of the hotel we are in and
(01:27:51):
I just I mean, it's hard to believe what we're
looking at.
Speaker 2 (01:27:54):
Yeah, it is a hot mess, for sure, But that
being said, as they dig out today, what it's going
to look like in the coming hours and whatnot. There
were definitely some serious issues because people couldn't get out
or decided not to leave. Some people they stayed and
(01:28:17):
they were rescued, like I don't know, fifteen people, says
police Chiefly Burkhaw.
Speaker 27 (01:28:23):
We were dispatched to a call where fifteen people were
in a house where the tree had fell on the
house and water was coming in the house. There were
children in the house, and we were able to get
officers out there safely and rescue fifteen, including young children.
Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
And the question is simply this, what the f were
you doing now if you couldn't get out. Here's the
thing though about and I'm going to say this right now,
this has got to sound like a dick tick. Got
to say it anyways, Come here. You knew what was coming,
all right. This wasn't a surprise. None of this was
a surprise. It wasn't like you woke up yesterday, you
were going through your day and then you got a
(01:28:58):
call going, did you guys know there was a big storm. No,
you knew it was coming. Everybody knew it was coming.
So if you decided to stay, now, if you're in
the fifteenth floor of a high rise and you stayed,
I have no problem with that. And I have no
problem that you stayed because you made that choice. You're
(01:29:19):
an adult, and if that's the thing you want to do,
I have zero problems with that. The issue we've talked
about over the last several days though, in situations like this,
remember when you decide to stay and then you get
your ass in trouble. What ends up happening. You have
to call somebody. Now you're putting dass in trouble because
they have to come out and say, yo, dumb ass.
(01:29:43):
So a reminder when they say something is coming. And
we know that this one was way different. The way
they approached this one was totally different. There was a
different response from not just the FEDS, but from the
people that are there in Florida. The response was way different.
The way that they were coming at this was way different.
(01:30:04):
You should have known, That's all I'm saying. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show
is your Twitter, we'll have more about Hurricane Milton. What
a jirk. It really became a tornado cane one hundred
and sixteen tornado sirens and warnings going off throughout parts
of the state. That's how nasty it was. And yes,
(01:30:24):
there will be some fatalities and we're not going to
know that for days because there can be people missing.
Some people that evacuatedn't tell anybody awful. Indeed, we'll have
more on this, a lot of other stuff to get to.
If you're missing the show, shame on you. Grab the podcast.
Speaker 10 (01:30:37):
It is the Chad Benson Shure, then Chad Benson Joe.
Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 30 (01:31:09):
A ferocious Hurricane Milton making landfall along the west coast
of Florida, slamming ashore in Sarasota County as a Category three,
powerful winds up to one hundred and twenty miles per hour,
uprooting trees, knocking over light poles and power lines.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
Within three million people are without power.
Speaker 30 (01:31:28):
Here in Florida this morning, that major storm surge, so
many feared barreling down the streets of Sarasota.
Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
It was insane, nothing like I've ever seen before.
Speaker 30 (01:31:37):
Parts of Venice, Florida turning into an extension of the sea.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
All right, so how bad is it? Multiple fatalities, but
we're not going to know exactly how many people died.
But it is not as bad as it could have been.
That being said in places like saying Pete got sixteen
inches of ray. Storm surge happened, but nowhere near what
they thought was going to happen. And three million people
(01:32:02):
are still without power. But I think they've uped down
where We've got fifty some thousand people that are linement
that are there and that is a blessing for sure.
Then you've got the people that are going to go
out and raise money. And this has nothing to do
(01:32:24):
with this, but I want you guys to pay attention
to this. There's a new scam out there called brushing
And if you don't know what it is, the thing
that made a huge comeback during COVID was QR codes.
Be careful.
Speaker 34 (01:32:40):
This one's a weird one because what you're looking for
here is QR codes that are in packages that maybe
have no real description on them as kind of a mystery,
so they want you to scan it.
Speaker 1 (01:32:51):
But think about a QR code.
Speaker 34 (01:32:52):
It's really just clicking a link, and you would to
click a strange link otherwise.
Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
But we've got so used to it, especially.
Speaker 34 (01:32:58):
In the pandemic, when we start, like, you know, scanning
QR codes at restaurants to be able to get our menus.
And now we're going, okay, we see CRER codes everywhere.
Let me just use my phone and.
Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
Open it up.
Speaker 34 (01:33:07):
But you're really opening a link and it's taking you
somewhere that probably wants your UH to put a log
in or put a credit card red flag. Don't go
putting things in if you actually if you actually did,
you know, go through this QR code link.
Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
And you've got to be careful because I'm out here
in Nashville and there's been a huge issue with QR
codes because every single especially because we're downtown, every single
light pole and stuff has some sort of QR code
on the ground for a band playing here, band playing there.
And apparently they're sticking QR codes up everywhere and all
they really want to do is grab your information or
(01:33:42):
get you to do something where you donate something that's
not real. And the same thing is the worry that,
of course is going to happen, the scammers that come
along with trying to raise money for the likes of
you know, the hurricanes, whether it's Helene and now with Milton,
you got to be careful.
Speaker 34 (01:33:58):
It's always going to be like that panic feeling of
like oh if I don't do this right now, you know.
So there is a bit of a rush feeling or
a curiosity like, oh, I haven't I really would think
I'd be getting a holiday gift right now, or I
lost track of all the things I've ordered. What was
this especially in the holidays where we're like doing all
these sales and stuff. So what I've seen some people
post is that they're getting packages of junk, like a
(01:34:20):
dollar makeup brush and has a QR code attached to it,
so it's something that costs It costs them nothing to
send it to you. But you are now curious and
you're going through the motions just you know, if it's junk,
just to say it's not worth scanning the code, and
you know what, go to the main website. If it's
really about Amazon and you're curious, don't scan the code,
type it in, go to the app.
Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
That's how crazy it's gotten. People are getting packages and
you open it up and it's a makeup brush or
it's whatever, and you're like, what is this and scan
the QR code and people that's what they're doing now.
And I say this because a I find this story
interesting and what they're doing in the comeback that QR
codes are making, but also because I'm already starting and
see the scams that are out there for this right
(01:35:04):
here and in times of disaster, because it's just easy
to do give money to X, Y and z, or
do this, that and the other. It's not hard to
find something repidable. But you've got to be careful. And
during the holiday season, we're all expecting something right from
the likes of Amazon. So scanning a QR code isn't
that simple to take it For me, who over the
last four months has been battling with Facebook and a
(01:35:25):
bunch of other people to try to get back the
control of certain things, why because somebody was able to scam.
Now I do use a QR code, but and that's
how much easier it's gotten. This is the new scam.
You've got to be careful.
Speaker 15 (01:35:37):
Well.
Speaker 34 (01:35:37):
We're even seeing us on parking meters too. I mean,
like you're in a rush, you're just trying to get
somewhere you want to pay for parking.
Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
That's awful.
Speaker 34 (01:35:44):
Like we've seen one. We've seen one in California where
like it's like pay by phone, they like have it
be poyed by a phone. But you're going so fast
you don't see it. And what these scammers are doing
is slapping a QR code sticker on something that looks legit.
And so we're seeing this pop up more. And you're
in a rush, You've got your bags in your hand,
you just want to get it done, and you're entering
your information and then.
Speaker 2 (01:36:06):
And then the next thing, you know, you spent eight
bucks on something you didn't need to spend money on,
and or you gave it to the wrong people, and
you still own money for parking and that thing, and
they're going to come take your car.
Speaker 34 (01:36:17):
It's the same as if you got duped by any
phishing scam. Okay, if you gave someone your password, you
got to change the passwords. If your credit card was involved,
You've got a call to Credit mark, maybe put.
Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
A freeze, you know.
Speaker 34 (01:36:26):
But yeah, it's pretty much the same method. We've always
been tricked, but now it's just a different way of
trickiness through a different you know, going through a link
on a phone instead of actually clicking the email link.
Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
And I say be careful because a lot of you
are going to want to give, as we all should.
I think the thing like Red Cross where you can
donate right there. I think you text a last it
was helean to nine zero nine ninety nine, and you
can give right there. But this QR code thing is real,
and I'm seeing it more and more, and I'm hearing
about it more and more. And now with all of
(01:36:58):
this stuff, I'm starting to see emails sent to me
and stuff on you text messages coming back to he
you scan this QR. It's be careful out there, That's
what I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (01:37:11):
I care about you enough that I want you to
be careful. Okay, speaking of the storm.
Speaker 19 (01:37:16):
Bill, how much of an impact do you see climate
change playing in all of these explanations that you've given us.
How much do you see climate change as being a
part of that?
Speaker 2 (01:37:27):
Oh, there's no question. In climate science, everybody has been
studying this for years.
Speaker 14 (01:37:32):
A paper has been written about how warm the ocean
is around the Florida Peninsula, and it's this warm, warm
water that is driving the storm and enabling it to
intensify so quickly.
Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
That is Bill Nye, the engineer guy. I thought he
was a science guy. I think he's an engineer. Have
you ever seen the meme that Dolph Luangren is actually
more of a scientist because he's got like several science degrees.
And Bill ny I believe is an But here's the
politics of it all. It's climate change. So we've got
to go straight to its climate change. This is what
(01:38:07):
it is. I still have yet to find a Republican
that wants really bad water and horrible air. And this
is the perfect example of how we as a nation
can go. Yeah, we kind of all want the same thing, right,
clean air, great water, We all want that same thing.
How do we get there? One group of people wants
(01:38:28):
to give power to a small group of people who
will do none of the things they propose to do,
and helps to other countries will do the things they're
promising to do, which we all know is a bunch
of bs as well. And that's the politics of it
all that frustrates us.
Speaker 14 (01:38:46):
The other side, as we often call it, This plan
has no plans to address climate change, no plans for
long term dealing with these sorts of problems. If you
have young voters out there, encourage them to vote. People
say what can I do about climate change? If we
were not thinking about it associating it with big storms
like this, that would be really good.
Speaker 8 (01:39:07):
But the main thing is vote.
Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
Thank you, You're welcome, and you're not doing anything by it.
By the way, you buying a fifteen dollars light bulb
because you think it's going to do something. And everybody
wants everybody else to pay their fair share on everything.
And I think it was a survey that came out
last year, the year before last on. Everybody wants climate
(01:39:30):
change to be better, for things to go better, for
us to do all these magical things. And then when
you ask how much would you pay towards it, very
little because everybody else wants somebody else to do it.
It's like when I always hear you guys need to
pay your fair share. Okay, let me ask you a question.
What's the fair share? So if I go and look
at the top ten percent earners in the country, and
(01:39:52):
they pay a vast majority of the federal income tax,
what is the fair share? Tell me when half the
country's not being anything federally, what is the fair share?
What exactly is that fair share? What is enough? It's
the same thing here. What are you going to be
able to do nothing? You're not gonna be able to
do anything about this, and you thinking you're doing something
is very minimal and in reality in in you know,
(01:40:16):
whether you're I'm driving a car that's electric and then
you find out, well, it actually is far worse for
the environment than a car that's not electric. I mean,
it's a feel good thing, but where's the reality in it?
That's the other side of it. Where is the reality
the other side does, well, where's the reality? To tell me,
Bill Ny, because I can find scientists that will juxtapose
(01:40:36):
your position in a heartbeat. But where's the real conversation
about how we make things better? That's technology number one. Secondly,
and this is most important, seeding our influence and hurting
our ability to keep our economy strong in hopes and
prayers that China and India and emerging Africa is going
(01:41:02):
to somehow decide Nope, we don't need to feed our
people in a cheaper way. We need this. That isn't
going to happen either, So don't be a dumbass about it.
Us controlling more of it and doing more of it
is going to make our environment better than you know,
other countries that aren't really concerned about the environment. They're
concerned about today. And let's not forget the same scientists
(01:41:25):
that are telling us it's global warming. It's this. It's
that when I was a kid growing up, Leonard de
moy in search of ice age, it was coming, nothing
we could do to stop it, blah blah blah blah blah.
That never happened. Then it got to global warming. Now
it's climate change, because climate change is the all encompassing.
(01:41:46):
If it goes up a degree, it's climate change. If
it comes down a degree, it's climate change. Heads I win, tails,
you lose. How about we take the politics out of
it and go, Okay, what's the right responsible thing to
do and at the same time thing that isn't going
to hurt us and our economy and make life far
more expensive for everybody else. How do we do that?
(01:42:10):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three e Chidminton Show is your Twitter? Tweet at us
text the program. Jim Walls yesterday or Tuesday night, at
two different events, said that he wanted to get rid
of the electoral college. Things would be better if it
was a popular vote, and you're an idiot if you
think that, Well, why is that idiotic? Because if it
(01:42:33):
was a popular vote, do understand what would happen?
Speaker 15 (01:42:37):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
Yes? That means the best person no no popular vote.
Popular vote eventually ends up being whoever can give out
the most free stuff will win. Popular vote means that
it's no longer about governing, it's about giving, and that's
when things go to hell in a handbask. That's why
(01:42:59):
the found fathers set this thing up the way they did.
That's why it's in the constitution. That's why we haven't
representative republic. That's why it's the best way over because
not only do you do that, but as far as
giving means you're the winner, the people that you're giving
to are going to be in several areas and the
rest of the country is going to be asked out.
(01:43:21):
And the fact that he even brought that up, and
I've heard Democrats bring this up more and more who
are emotional, And then I've got Democrats out there who
are logical, who say, yeah, I mean, it sounds great,
but we can't do that. Now they're trying, and they've
thought about it. There's some states out there that are
looking at how can they say, all right, look, here's
the deal. While we can't get a constitutional amendment and
(01:43:47):
a change, we understand that what we can do is
we can put ourselves in a position where we decide
that if we vote a different way, but the popular
vote happens to be X.
Speaker 7 (01:44:05):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:44:05):
So let's say Kamala's the popular vote the states you're
in votes for Trump. In theory, the electoral college that
is supposed to go to Trump. But if they had
passed the law there, and some states have already tried
to do it and have done it, that would mean
that the popular vote, not who your state voted to,
would those Electro College votes then would go to that person.
(01:44:29):
And if you can get enough states in that you
can circumvent the Constitution. I don't think that's going to
happen either, because I don't think there's enough states right now,
because it's so divided that you could get to that.

Welcome to chest No, not the Country, the Institution. Chad
Vincent Show, does It Invited.
Speaker 35 (01:46:01):
Spoke to Florida Governor Run DeSantis this morning about the
impacts of Hurricane Milton on Florida.
Speaker 1 (01:46:06):
The Winehouse says.
Speaker 35 (01:46:07):
DeSantis told the President they're still assessing the damage across
the state, and he think the President for the extensive
federal support to prepare for and respond to the storm.
President Biden reiterated to DeSantis he'll provide any support the
state needs to speed up the response in recovery.
Speaker 2 (01:46:23):
They have done a good job, both of them coming together,
not acting like petulant children. There's still the battle out
there of the ridiculousness of the politics of this, but
I think for at least now they put stuff aside.
Doesn't mean people aren't pissed, and doesn't mean people aren't
angry about the way that some of this is gone,
because you're always going to find people that are frustrated
(01:46:43):
because they're in their time of need and they're frustrated
by all the things that have happened and they feel
like it's not going as fast as it should. But
I think DeSantis has done a hell of a job.
I think he's led his state in an amazing way.
And I think based on everything they had ready, they
planned properly and through the grace of God, while it
(01:47:03):
was bad, it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
And having Helene come through there just a week or
so earlier also put them in a position where they
were ready to roll again. And I think they've done
a damn fine job at that.
Speaker 18 (01:47:19):
There may end up being more overall damage. There may
not I don't know, but definitely the surge did not
reach helene levels.
Speaker 2 (01:47:27):
And that was the big thing. The surge did not
reach helene levels. Now we're going to find out more
in the coming days what this looks like. But for
the most part, while it is a massive storm that
did huge amounts of damage, it didn't do the kind
of damage that I think a lot of people thought
it was going to do. And that is a blessing
(01:47:47):
which brings us to this.
Speaker 8 (01:47:49):
And then I go and smoil it all by saying
something stupid.
Speaker 2 (01:47:53):
It all takes stupid pills this morning.
Speaker 20 (01:47:55):
It's the honest ones you want to watch out because
