Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Jimmy Kimmel is back, Baby. I don't care so much
about Jimmy Kimmel being back. What I do care about
is free speech, period, and I want the government up
into business of speech. Period. Jimmy Kimmel came back last night,
and because of that, I actually sat through the monologue
(00:34):
seventeen minutes. I kept think Carson went that long, but
he had a lot to say last night. I thought
some of it was poignant and good. I think he
showed some humility. You know, the right's not going to
see it that way, because this became a right left issue.
(00:55):
And I will tell you, over the last couple of weeks,
I've seen a lot of people post things to say
I am charge, Yeah, that's great. You know, we can
all be Charlie and we can all be Jimmy Kimmel
in the sense of free speech and fighting against what
we see as a ridiculousness and overreach of the FCC
out of threats, and a lot of people go, oh
(01:19):
my god, how could you say that? It's simple. I
don't want the government up in the business. And when
I talk about that, I mean that from a place
of this is also my business. This is also what
I do, and what the right fails to realize at
times when it comes to their disdain for somebody like
(01:40):
Jimmy Kimmel, who has lost the plot because he just
lives now in a world of nothing but leftnis is
the fact that while you may have a disdain for him,
hate for the things he says, a visceral reaction. Eugh,
(02:01):
I worry about what happens if the push comes from
government when it comes to speech, or who gets to
say what on the airways? That what happens if the
shoe goes to the other foot. That's what I care about.
Everybody wants to make this well it's about business because
(02:23):
he sucks, or it's about this is because to me
it's a speech issue, period, case closed, end of story.
That's what it is. So last night, I don't know
how many people tuned in. There was what some sixty
stations that didn't carry Kimmel came out did his thing. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Anyway, as I was saying before I was interrupted, if
you're just joining us, we are preempting your regularly scheduled
encore episode of celebrity family Feud to bring you this.
I shall report. I'm happy to be here tonight with you.
(03:09):
I'm not sure who had a weird than forty eight hours,
me or the CEO of Tyland.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
All it's been which was funny, but a lot of
people will know was he going to apologize? Was he
going to do that? And everybody's like Chad, he spreads misinformation.
What he said was stupid. But when I was asking
people what were you angry at, they would give you
(03:35):
three different answers. Well, it's because he made fun of
Charlie Kirk, which he didn't. Well, it's because of the
way that he's, you know, just a dnz plant essentially,
and you know, whatever that is, I don't care. That's
that's neither here nor there. Well, it's because he blamed Maga. Okay,
(03:56):
that's a fair argument, and he even addressed that last night.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
But I do want to make something clear because it's
important to me as a human, and that is you
understand that it was never my intention to make light.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Of the murder of a young man.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I posted a message on Instagram of the daves killed,
sending love to his family and asking for compassion, and
I meant it.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
I still do.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group
for the actions of what it was obviously a deeply
disturbed individual. That was really the opposite of the point
I was trying to make. But I understand that to
some that felt either ill timed or unclear, or maybe both.
And for those who think I did point a finger,
I get why you're upset. If the situation was reversed,
(04:40):
there was a good chance I'd have felt the same way.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
I have many.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Friends and family members on the other side who I
love and remain close to, even though we don't agree
on politics at all. I don't think the murderer who
shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone. This was a sick person
who believed violence was a solution and it isn't it ever,
and also selfishly.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
And I thought that was good. You could hear he
was upset about it. I don't watch late night television,
regardless of what who they make fun of. It's just
I just don't. It's never been my I'm past that.
When I was younger, I was excited step to watch
you know, Johnny Carson if I had to be goes Oh,
look how late I am. That's a long gone time.
(05:28):
For ninety nine percent of people. This became a battle
of what some people perceive to be nothing but evil,
on the other side perceives to be nothing but evil.
It's against so it's the right, it's left. Everybody's evil.
To me, it was a speech thing and it all
we was, and it was an overreach and a threat
to No matter how veiled you want to pretend to
(05:51):
make it, it was there. So am I happy is back?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
To me?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
It means nothing that he is back or not back,
because I'm not going to watch the show. I'm happy that,
at least momentarily, speech is still free in this country.
And I think we should be all happy about that
one percent, because if we start to lose speech, if
we start to lose our ability to poke fun at
(06:22):
our leaders, our ability to go after and hold our
leaders accountable, that becomes scary. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three At Chad Benson shows your acts,
your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook, and more, let me know
what you think, Tweet at us, text the program on
here from eaching every one of you. Meanwhile, while all
that was going on and he was giving his monologue,
(06:44):
so was Trump. You guys didn't see the UN yesterday,
Trump was in fine form. By the way, the UN sucks,
always has, always will It is basically, I'm going to
surmise the It was supposed to be as shorter speech
with the teleprompters. Apparently the teleprompter broke and that's when
he decided to do what Trump does, which is, you
(07:06):
know what, I'm gonna wing, and we're gonna rip this
thing out of here. Let's do it.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
All I got from the United Nations was an escalator
that on the way up stopped right in the middle.
If the first lady wasn't in great shape, she would
have fallen.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, that was a big conspiracy yesterday that wait, what
did he did? He say that the escalator broke, And
now people are like, well, they did it on purpose, Okay. Uh.
Trump hit out on a lot of stuff. Some of
it was well deserving, some of it was kind of
all over the place. Still wants that Nobel Peace Prize.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Everyone says that I should get the Nobel Peace Prize
for each one of these achievements. But for me, the
real prize would be the sons and daughters who lived
to grow up with the mothers and fathers. Because millions
of people are no longer being killed.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
And he's talking about two things in particular though, Russia
and Ukraine, and he's done with Russia. He is done
with Russia. Putin played him, Putin's continuing to do what
Putin does, and Putin has no fear of them. And
Trump's big thing is, all right, cut it loose, baby,
(08:21):
cut it loose. If if you're going to be that way,
then you know what, maybe Zelensky and the Ukrainians sugg
see if they can take back all of the territory,
which is a big pivot. Says he's going to come
after him with tariffs and all of those things that
you know Trump says he's going to do. We're not
quite sure. Again, I want to see what all of
(08:43):
it looks like. But you can tell he's pissed and
he's over it one hundred percent. And we got a
lot more from this too, because some of it was.
The immigration stuff was hilarious, the what a waste the
UN is hilarious. And then when he goes off in
Global War me it is spectacular. Oh my lord, it
(09:06):
was everything that you know. This is this is why Trump,
when you get frustrated with him, you could go, h Okay,
this is why Trump. I see. There was an entertainment
value because those what are those people sitting there thinking
as he just sits there and just basically tells him,
you guys all suck and you're stupid. Your countries are
(09:28):
going to hell. We're the only ones that are worth
a damn. It was at times rambling, but it was
pure Trump, good, bad and indifferent, and he bsked a lot.
You know, I stopped twenty nine Wars and all that
stuff that he says, which is like, not true, but
(09:50):
some of it was like that's what he does. He
exaggerates so much. But inside of there, there's truth. Inside
of there, there's truth. So we'll have more of it.
Speaking of truth yesterday. So this was interesting. Not a
lot of people paying attention to it. There was a
(10:12):
race to fill a seat in Congress in Arizona after
the death of Rahul Griholva and a Democrat. One Democrat
was always going to win there, but that Democrat now
(10:33):
will be in a place to vote on something about
A list and files of.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
The race for Arizona's seventh congressional district, a special election
for the seat vacated by the death of longtime Congressman
Royal Griholva back in March, and it will remain a
seat held by a Grihova Decision Desk HQ and the
Associated Press calling the race tonight for ad A leader
Griholva moments after the first results started coming in.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
So currently Massey and Rokahanna, I think they have two
hundred and seventeen votes. They need to eighteen. She would
make two eighteen And now Mike Johnson's going to have
to work his ass off to figure out how to
block this in committee and elsewhere. So this watch what happens.
(11:25):
It's quiet race. Something happened that people are paying attention to.
But this is about to get spicy. Three two, three, five, eight,

This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Jad Benson foiled.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
That's a good way to say that. You see this
crazy story out of New York and parts of the
Eastern Seaboard about what they might have done with SIM
cards and destroying the telecommunications of many.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
More than three hundred computer servers stacked on shelves, desks,
and floors, along with more than one hundred thousand cellular
simcards set up in vacant apartments in Queens, New York, Westchester, Greenwich, Connecticut,
and in New Jersey locations encircling New York City, a
system so powerful authorities say it could have been used
to disrupt all cell phone service for the entire city
(13:50):
of New York, including police, fire and ems.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
It was crazy. The Secret Service foiled the plot, as
they say this could have sent an ungodly amount of
text messages in the space of a minute, continuously to
the point where the entire system just collapses.
Speaker 8 (14:13):
The Secret Service does not know if this is connected
to the General Assembly or something else. They do know
that it was a plot, and it was nefarious, and
it had to.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Stop a nefarious plot. I wonder what, because you get
the UN General Assembly, so obviously the first thing comes
to mind is they're doing this to disrupt the UN
General Assembly. And I've already seen all that all of
the conspiracy theories are spectacular. It was the Jews because
(14:50):
they're mad at everybody. It was the Russians because they're
mad at everybody. I just I sit there and I said,
or it was something where maybe I threw this one
out there. What about bank robbers? What about good old
fashioned bank robbers. Somebody wants to pull a heist, so
they have all these sim cards set out there, and
(15:12):
they've got all these servers and then all of a
sudden everything's jammed, and then they can pull off their
heist and nobody could get the police or any emergency
to come. See. See mineus more entertaining than the other crap. Yeah.
The other crap's just all super political. Mine went totally
like Oceans fifteen. Now check this out because they're already
(15:35):
starting to say it could be the Chinese three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Shows your
extra insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more writing on The Chad
Benson Show. But listen to how many text messages it
could send.
Speaker 9 (15:54):
In recent weeks, investigators tracked those threats to multiple locations
in and around New York, where they said they see
the hundreds of servers and more than one hundred thousand
SIM cards, enough equipment to send thirty million anonymous text
messages every minute. Overwhelming communications.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
That is a lot of text messages. I mean, that
is thirty million a minute. Talk about overwhelming and blowing
up the system. And again there's gonna be all like,
is it the un Was it? That was it? I
don't know, I mean, but it'll be interesting to find out.
(16:33):
Somebody has to because here's the thing. There's cameras everywhere.
At some point in time, we have to see who's
going to in and out of these apartments. Was it
the Chinese? Was it the Russians? Was it the Masade?
Was it the Cia? They're not supposed to be operating here,
we get it. I'm throwing things out here, guys, I'm spitballing.
What are you doing? Huh nothing? Not helping? Stickballing? Goodness me,
(16:57):
thirty million a minute? That would have just and could
you imagine, I mean, your phone's just going off text, text, tax, tax, tax, tax,
just NonStop. The entire systems fried. And we don't do
well when we don't have opportunities to communicate in text
with one another. Three two three five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three. That is the text line. You can leave
(17:19):
a message as well voice wise. At Chad Benson Show.
It's your act, your Insta, your YouTube and Facebook coming up.
It is Wednesday. We have a little bit of fun
on Wednesday. We try it fun every day, but today
one of our favorite things. It's one hit Wonder Wednesday
and we got one that's a dance and little ditty
we think you're gonna love. It is The Chad Benson.
Speaker 10 (17:38):
Show, Son, Chad Benson, Joe.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
It is Wednesday, and it wouldn't be a Wednesday if
we didn't have white women telling us how bad we are. Now,
I put in the work each and every single day.
I try to. And our girl Kylie here, she puts
in the work every day, and I will tell you this.
I see horrible things that people say to her on
(18:26):
the interwebs, and I go and defend her because I
think it's crap. I may not agree with her in
her White Women Wednesday with Black Death fun, but she
has the right to say these things, even if it
pisses you off. Now, it does make me laugh most
of the time because so much of it is so
like out of just what, like, how did you get
to that? But again the beauty of free speech.
Speaker 11 (18:46):
Are three ways that white people are racist, often without realizing.
Number one, the first way you're racist without knowing it
is by thinking that everyone has an equal playing field.
You're someone who subscribes to the American dream and you
truly believe that black people are only in the bazar
that they are in because of a lack of effort.
That is racist, because again there are systemic barriers to
(19:06):
the success of people of color. Number two, not having
any friends who aren't white, probably thinking well, how is
this racist? Because you're not communicating and learning from people
of color. Because you're not interacting with people who are
different from you, you're not learning, and you're probably continuing
to perpetuate those biases. To me, all white friend groups
are weird and suggest that you cannot maintain a relationship
(19:27):
with a person of color, probably because of your ignorance.
And the third way is by assuming that any successful
person of color only did so because of dei. DEI
makes it so people of color get opportunities because otherwise
people would be racist and withhold them has nothing to
do with their talent or ability.
Speaker 12 (19:44):
Racism is the default.
Speaker 11 (19:46):
So if you don't deconstruct your own internalized biases, you
are going to perpetuate racism in the US.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
There you go, You guys feel better about that. Do
you have any BIPOC friends those are black indigenous people
of color? Do you do you, Chad? It is my friends.
I mean, I guess they're people of color. My aunt's black,
my uncle. We just I don't know what to say.
(20:12):
You just don't get it yet. So look, here's one
thing she did say. Being white in America's pretty damn good.
You know what though, being an American's pretty damn good. Now,
not everybody is born on third base. There are some
people that are born on third base. There are other
people that are born here and they got to go
up to bat and they may have a you know,
(20:36):
they may have an No. One pitch already. But ninety
nine percent of the world love to be in that position.
Oh yes, they would. I've said this every single day
when you wake up, you think, whoo, I wasn't born
in Africa or Gaza or Southeast Asia and some small
(20:58):
area where I have absolutely zero chance of getting out
of this village. Yeah, you're born here, you start already
in a position of a win. Doesn't mean there's not advantages.
It's not pretend that there's not. That's why I do
the work. People you need to as well. Speaking of
doing the work, what's this.
Speaker 12 (21:20):
Again, stochastic terrorism?
Speaker 13 (21:22):
If people are telling you Charlie Kirk never heard anyone,
the word you're looking for is stochastic terrorism. Stochastic terrorism
is when public figures use mass communication to incite violence
against specific groups while maintaining plausible deniability. You demonize and
dehumanize a group of people. You paint them as an
existential threat. You use inflammatory, violent language. Then when someone
(21:44):
acts on that rhetoric with actual violence, you get to
step back and say, I never told anyone to do that.
It's terrorism by statistical probability. You're not directing specific people
to commit specific acts. You're just broadcasting hatred to millions,
knowing statistically someone's going to act on it and it works.
Misogyny is on the rise, along with calls to remove
(22:04):
women's rights. This correlates with rises in domestic violence and harassment.
Studies show anti LGBTQ rhetoric directly correlates to increase violence
against queer people.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
And Charlie's dead, so that's odd. Look, there's no doubt
that you know, you've got politicians. They pit us against
each other, there's no doubt. And they use rhetoric on
both sides that are insane, that's inflammatory, that dehumanizes, that
(22:37):
get you to look at the other side in such
a way where you look at them. You know, my
uncle I have this talk all the time because he
thinks everybody on the left is evil, and like, that's
not true, dude. You take specific things, just like the
left does to the right. You take a specific situation,
an anomaly, and you try to generalize it as this
(23:00):
is what it's all about. That's not true. It's not
everybody wants to point fingers. Nobody wants to look in
the mirror. Ooh.
Speaker 13 (23:13):
When you have a platform with millions of followers and
you consistently tell them that certain groups of people are
an abomination or threats to children in society, some percentage
of those followers will take action. The insidious part is
when violence happened, Kirk got to step back and say
I didn't hurt anyone.
Speaker 12 (23:28):
But that's not how stochastic terrorism works.
Speaker 13 (23:30):
You don't need to give explicit instructions when you spent
years painting a target on people's backs. He built his
career on hatred disguised as Christianity, violence disguised as patriotism,
and eliminationist rhetoric disguised as political discourse. So don't let
anyone gaslight you into thinking his words were harmless. Words
have impact, platforms have responsibilities, and hatred disguised as righteousness
is still hatred.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
And he's dead. He paid the ultimate price. People, your
actions are your own. They are. And I'm not saying
that politicians don't gin people up, don't get them to
do things, because I think we know they do, because
(24:14):
that's how they win. That's how they paint the other
side as a boogeyman. And they're the only ones who
could stop it. That guy's over, there's the joker. The
joker is coming for you. I'm your batman. Gott to
hire me so I could save you. So you know,
we could sit here and talk about you know, Oh,
it's the statistics, and you do he paid the ultimate price.
(24:38):
He did so based on what you're saying is the
left and their rhetoric got him killed. And it was
just a matter of time before somebody acted based on
statistics three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson shows, your acts, your instant YouTube, Facebook,
(25:00):
and more. Love hearing from all of you Kimmel back
last night.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Maybe most of all, I want to thank the people
who don't support my show and what I believe, but
support my right to share those beliefs anyway.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
People, or I never would I'll imagine.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Right, Ben Shapiro, Clay Travis, Candice Owens, Mitch McConnell, Ran Paul,
even my old pal Ted Cruz, who believe it or not,
said something very beautiful on my behalf.
Speaker 14 (25:32):
I hate what Jimmy Kimmel said. I am thrilled that
he was fired.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Oh the wait, No, not that the other part.
Speaker 14 (25:42):
But let me tell you, if the government gets in
the business of saying we can't saying what you the
media have said, we're going to ban you from the
airwaves if you don't say what we like, that will
end up bad for conservatives.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
I don't think I've ever said this before, but Ted
Cruz is right.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
He's absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
He's absolutely right, and that's what I keep saying over
and over again. When you have a situation where the
FCC even intimates threats no matter how veiled it is.
And that was pretty it was pretty wide open. Let's
(26:28):
be real. It was as transparent as it gets. Think
about what happens when you're not in that position and
all of a sudden, as I said earlier, the shoe
on the other foot three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your act,

a toe tapper, Chad Benson.
Speaker 15 (28:03):
Joe serving up talk radio medium, rare and dripping with irony.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
It's Chad Benson.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
There's that portion of the program where we sit back,
relax and have a little bit fun, talk about a
lot of serious stuff, and we need to smile and
have uh some fun every once in a while. It's Wednesday,
so you know what that means. Oh yeah, we're talking
about the fun stuff. We're talking about reliving a moment
in time where a band an artist. A group came together,
(28:47):
made magic and produced something that dazzled the world. And
as quick as they came, they're gone. But they did
leave us with something. Oh yeah, it's Wednesday. You ready
for the one hit m M.
Speaker 16 (29:03):
Now it's time for another edition of One Hit Wonder Wednesday.
You may not remember the name of the band, but
you definitely know the song.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
This bruiser, this is one Hit Wonder Wednesday. All right,
One Hit Wonder Wednesday. Have to go back aways, way back,
way back. Indeed, we're talking thirty years. Now. Here's the
interesting thing. The song has been around for so long,
(29:54):
and I'm talking about so long, But the one version
of this song that is been played on numerous occasions,
if I'm correct, since the fifties, there's been over one
hundred and fifty versions of this song recorded. Think about
(30:14):
that for a second. Since this version that we're going
to play you. But this version is the only one
that stands out. A bunch of others have done it.
It's been in a movie, The Urban Cowboy. The Moody
Brothers version of the song received a Grammy Award. The
Irish group The Chieftains received a Grammy nomination for best
(30:36):
Country vocal collaboration for their version of this with country
singer Ricky Skaggs. But out of all of those versions,
only one of them managed to hit the top forty
in America and it didn't even do that great. But
this song that has been around since pre Civil War,
(31:00):
there's been many versions of it. This song from this
group is heard almost daily and I can guarantee you
when we play it, you're gonna go, oh, Chad, that's
gonna be my head all day long.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Good.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
We want it to be. So. This version of the
song was produced in nineteen ninety four, put together by
a Swedish DJ supergroup kind of. They took their name
from a misspelling of the word rednecks by spelling it
(31:37):
r ed and ex. They had personas on stage that
included the original lead singer, Mary Joe. Her real name
is Anaka Lundberg. Otherwayse she falls me on the old Insta,
Bobby Sue, Kent Olander, Ken Tacky arn Arnstead, Billy Ray,
Jonas Nielsen and Moop. But when you put them all
(32:00):
together with the fiddle, the euro dance music and everything else,
oh kids, you know what I'm talking about, Because if
it hadn't been for cotton Eye Joe, but I.
Speaker 17 (32:14):
Hadn't been forgotten Joe. I've been married long time ago.
Wait did you come from?
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Wa? Did you go?
Speaker 1 (32:19):
When?
Speaker 17 (32:19):
Did you come from? Cotton dot? I've been married long?
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (32:25):
You coming from Wady? You go? Way?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
You coming from?
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Today's one hit wonder, Yes, the amazing rednecks with cotton
Eye Joe.
Speaker 18 (32:38):
Married come from?
Speaker 17 (32:40):
You come from?
Speaker 19 (32:45):
Married?
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Wait?
Speaker 15 (32:47):
You come from?
Speaker 12 (32:48):
You come from?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
The song's origin have always been a mystery. Many people
think it came from the time of slavery, but it
even predates that because there are similar versions that come
from the sixteen and seventeen hundreds in Ireland as well.
Nobody really knows. It's interesting and the whole Cotton Eye
(33:45):
Joe thing. The way that they look at it is
in some cases, is it about slavery. It could be.
There were some racist undertones and certain versions of it,
but in other versions it was about a person who
drank too much moonshine and went a little sideways, if
you know what I mean. Song peaked here in the
(34:05):
United States at twenty five, but its lasting impact is
incredible because you can't go to a sporting event in
America and not hear this song. And guess what, you
can't do that in Europe as well. And no matter
what language you speak, you tap your feet, you dance,
and you do your thing because it's infectious. It's a
(34:29):
groove that's fun. And thank your Rednecks song that's enjoyable.
Today's one Hit Wonder is The Rednecks with Cotton Eye Joe.
Speaker 17 (35:16):
I've been married long way? Did you come from Weady
go Waity? Did you come from Cotna?
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (35:22):
I love that song The Rednecks Cotton Eye Joe. You're
one hit Wonder on this Wednesday three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your Acts, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more. Love
it when we hear from you. And remember, if you
have any suggestions for one Hit Wonder Wednesday, send it
off to us right here in the Chad Benson Show.
Coming up, hour number two of the program, a lot
(35:44):
of stuff to get to. Un speech. Yesterday, bizarre Major
League Baseball in a move they're going to make for
next season which is going to be interesting, Jimmy Kimmel
a lot more on that as well. And yesterday somebody
was convicted of something trying to kill the is it? Oh,
there's more to the story. Then he got mad at
(36:04):
his attorney and did something which was crazy. We'll talk
about that as well. Reach out to uscross all of
our social media three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four twenty three at Chad Benson Show, YouTube, x, Facebook
and Instagram. You're missing your show, make sure you grabb
the podcast hour number two of the program straight Ad.
This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
We have a nightmare in Dallas. This is definitely breaking news.
And again last hour, we are trying to get everything
we can possibly together to figure out what happened. What
we're finding out is several people shot. How many of
them I do not know exactly, And we'll find out.
What we're hearing is at least the sniper killed at
(37:17):
least one migrant and wounded up to four in the shooting.
I guess he is dead. Fox four has reported that
multiple fatalities, three or four others have been shot. Again,
this is all stuff that will be changing you throughout
the day. You guys understand that that's the way this works.
I hate to be one of these people are, but
(37:37):
it is an ugly, horrible look and by the looks
of it, this might have been an actual sniper that
did this.
Speaker 20 (37:48):
Several people have been shot, some fatally, others rushed to
the hospital with injuries. No idea yet who exactly has
been shot. We just heard the acting director of Ice
say that this occurred in a sally Port area where
they do move detainees, but we're waiting for officials to
(38:09):
say for sure.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
So you would think that there is something politically obviously here,
but it is again how many the the and everybody.
Here's the thing. Everybody wants to know exactly, Okay, how
many who was it? Who the person vote for?
Speaker 15 (38:30):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (38:30):
We're all trying to figure this out. It is frustrating.
I get it, but we've got to try to figure
out exactly what happens because I'm a measure twice cut
once thing and since and and this is a perfect
example of trying to get it right, and so I
hope you guys bear with me. So far, I've heard
(38:54):
ten different stories about this. There's been several different you know, videos,
and this is the suspect, and none of those things
you can take seriously anymore. At first you can't. You've
got to take everything with a grain of salt because
you have no idea what's going on, because it is
(39:17):
moving at such a breakneck speed. And we have done
these things unfortunately too many damned times, where you have
people that decided that they're going to get back at
their enemy, as far as they think politically, they're going
to get back at the world because they can't get
any girlfriends, they're pissed off at their neighbor whatever. Too
many dann times we do these things, and unfortunately, because
(39:46):
not everything is perfect, the stories throughout the day change,
because the numbers change and the twenty different witnesses where
you've narrowed down to two that actually saw something, and
then you start to find out, Okay, this is what
it looks like. We're finding all of that out as
we go. We've got people on the ground, we've got
people working at We're doing the best we possibly can,
(40:07):
and we just want to let you guys understand that.
Speaker 21 (40:09):
The issue quickly is they're going to have to sweep
all the other buildings in the proximity of where this
shooting occurred, and they're also going to have to quickly
figure out who this guy is, where he's from, who
he's connected to, and that's you.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Know, that's obviously a big deal. Who's he connected to?
Where's he from? Was this you know, was this a
lover's world? Probably not. I think we probably know what
it was, if we're honest with ourselves. The question is
why here? All of that stuff that you know will
be answered to the next several days, and we always
(40:48):
want answers, we do, but this is more than likely
a political angry immigration. I doubt it was just, Hey,
this is a random area because they also killed a migrant,
you know, so you shot somebody that was here illegally
in the facility. So does it mean that it's automatically
(41:10):
this note we're looking like everybody else and the politics
and the frustration, you know, from the moment Charlie was shot,
to the chaos that's still going on surrounding that, to
all of this, it gets exhausting. It does.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
It does?
Speaker 2 (41:29):
What we do know? Some injured, the gunman is dead.
We've heard from two different stations that they're still assessing
how many are injured, some they believe are fatal. How
many of those again all stuff that we're trying to
cover right now. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
(41:52):
four to twenty three at Chadbenton Show is your ex,
your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook and more. We love
hearing from all of you, just to get you guys
caught up to speed. What we do know is there
are several people that have been shot in an ice
facility Dallas that's got some fatalities. The gunman himself apparently
(42:17):
when turned the gun on himself, and we're hearing everything
from it was a sniper too. Was again stuff we're
gonna learn about in the coming you know, hours and days,
So make sure you keep it right here so we
can give you all the information. Three two three, five,
three eight, twenty four twenty three at Chad Benson Shows
Your Acts, your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook. I do
(42:40):
get frustrated these man, It's just too many damn things.
We're so freaking angry. We are so freaking angry. People
are dead, people's lives are changed forever. And I know
what's gonna happen. By this afternoon. It's going to be like, well,
was their fault, It was their fault, It was this
(43:01):
person's fault. It was that person. Well, if Trump didn't
do this, if the Left didn't say that, that should
piss us all off. It really should. You know, last
week a kid brought a gun to my kid's school.
They had locked the damn place down. We got a
(43:22):
problem that we need to start addressing in a real way.
We do the rhetoric through the roof, through the roof,
Come on, exhaust majority, that's us. It's time we take
back the conversation. Speaking of taking back the conversation last
(43:43):
night and then again, we'll get back to this a
little bit. Out of the tension. Jimmy Kimmel strolled back
onto the stage and well did his thing after being
spend it and a lot of people are wondering, Okay,
so what's this going to be about, how's this going
(44:05):
to work, What is he going to do, What is
he going to say? Will he apologize?
Speaker 3 (44:11):
But I do want to make something clear because it's
important to me as a human, and that is you
understand that it was never my intention to make light
of the murder of a young man. I posted a
message on Instagram of the daves killed, sending love to
his family and asking for compassion and I meant it.
I still do, nor was it my intention to blame
(44:31):
any specific group for the actions of what it was
obviously a deeply disturbed individual that was really the opposite
of the point I was trying to make. But I
understand that to some that felt either ill timed or unclear,
or maybe both. And for those who think I did
point a finger, I get why you're upset. If the
situation was reversed, there's a good chance I'd have felt
(44:53):
the same way. I have many friends and family members
on the other side who I love and remain close,
even though we don't.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
Agree on politics at all.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
I don't think the murderer who shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone.
This was a sick person who believed violence was a
solution and it isn't.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
It ever, and also selfishly, and I think it was
very contrite in that now you don't have to like
Jimmy And people asked me last week when the monologue
happened on Monday last week when he was doing his
Monday night show, and it was all about, you know,
(45:35):
maga did this. Let me show you how much I
watch none of these things until somebody told me I
had no idea, and a vast majority of people didn't
because there are outraged folks looking for people to be
outraged at, and that is I don't think people realize
(45:56):
that there are people out there who were scouring, always
looking for I could sit here. Let me just this way.
I could sit here today and play you three hours
of stuff that would piss you off, and I could
find it for both sides. There's enough outrage out there, anger,
(46:18):
pissed offness. We try not to do that here. I
don't look I'd like Jimmy Kimmel when he and I.
He's a little bit older than me, and we worked
to the same radio group when we were younger, and
he was on the alternative station and I was on
the oldiest station. But you know, he was the sports
(46:39):
guy and I was a producer and behind the scenes
and voice guy and stuff for this guy.
Speaker 5 (46:43):
And so.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
He was, you know, then the man showing all these
kind of things. He became something that you know, he
went super hard left, and a lot of it has
to do with Trump, and he has a disdain. I
don't think he should have ever been pulled off the air.
I think the smart thing would have been Disney saying, yeah, Jimmy,
why don't you take a week off. Let's let this
(47:07):
stuff percolate, let people get angry, let people deal with
their their frustration, they're hurt, let them mourn, and then
you can come back. And they didn't, and then it
became this thing where the battle is right now and
it is frustrating for all of us. I think he
did a hell of a job as far as coming
(47:29):
on last night, still going after Trump, not backing down,
which I've got zero problems with, because we need to
hold our people accountable. Not that I think Jimmy does
it any different than any of this stuff. Of what
I'm saying is the free speech side of stuff you
need to hold on to, and we need to fight
for these things, make sure that we maintain them, because
(47:50):
it's that important. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, is your Acts,
your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more. By the way, several
you've just chimed in over the last twenty minutes or
so saying I can't get that damn song out of
my head. Our one hit wonder song today was the
Rednecks Cotton Eyed Joe Mean for Catnight, Joe. You're welcome.
(48:14):
You can always send us your suggestions three two, three, five,
three eight twenty four, twenty three or tweet at me
at Chad Benson Joe Birch Gold. Still have time take
advantage of Birch Gold for your first time buyer ten
thousand dollars rebate in precious metals. But you got to
buy by the end of this month, Okay, So by
(48:35):
September thirtieth, you go to your phone, you pick it up,
you go ninety eight ninety eight, ninety eight. That's what
you're gonna text, and you put in the word Benzon
and you send it off. They're gonna get you out
at infok it. They're going to get you all the
information you need to make a smart decision for you
and your family. We've got inflation still there, we have
massive amount of debt, we have uncertainty globally. Goal is
(48:55):
a smart place to be and a way to diversify yourself.
So text the word Benzon out ninety eight, ninety eight,
ninety eight. Find out how gold can be a part
of what you're doing in your portfolio, a way to
protect yourself. On top of that, the dollars week. It
is you never know where this is going to go.
So having gold, whether it's the physical or maybe even
rolling over your IRA or four one K into a
(49:16):
precious metals backed IRA with gold is a smart thing
to do. Plus, if your first time buyer still have
time to get up to ten thousand dollars rebate in
precious metals, but you got to buy by the end
of the month. Text the word Benson to ninety eight
ninety eight ninety eight. Now for birch gold, that's the
word Benson to ninety eight, ninety eight ninety eight. This
(49:37):
is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Chad Benson guilty is.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
What the juror said after deliberating for two hours. Ryan Ruth,
the guy who who was the second attempt on Trump's life,
was found guilty on all charges. And it was an
interesting day to say the least. Now, remember this is
the guy that was kind of in the bushes near
the golf course and then Trump was coming up to
(50:14):
I think it was the green and that's when a
Secret Service officer spotted him and they took this guy down.
And man, this was again crazy. And the craziest thing
is he represented himself because he's an idiot.
Speaker 22 (50:31):
Ruth took over his own defense. He roughly argued that
he'd never intended to kill Donald Trump, and he tried
to prove that by really focusing on his character. He
called two of his longtime friends to testify in his defense.
They spoke about how Ryan allegedly was never a violent
person and how he was generally peaceful. And Ryan Ruth
used that to kind of tell the jury that, you know,
(50:53):
even if he was in the bushes, even if he
did have the rifle, he never actually intended to kill
Donald Trump. He was just there protesting and exercising his
Second Amendment rights.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Nah, that's a tough one. Obviously, the attorney didn't do
what they were supposed to do to prove that, him
being the attorney. Now, the weird part was immediately after
hearing the verdict, he was so angry at his attorney
he attacked him.
Speaker 22 (51:16):
As soon as the jury left the courtroom after they
read their verdict, Ryan Ruth was seated at defense table
by himself. He's representing himself, and he took one of
the pens at council table and tried to stab himself
multiple times in the neck. Immediately the federal marshals who
were in the courtroom surrounded him and brought him out
(51:37):
of the courtroom. It wasn't immediately clear to the judge
or anyone who was watching what exactly happened or if
he was okay.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
I think he survived from what I understand. The question
is now, what's next. Well, it's simple, he's going to
be sentenced. I don't know how long he's going to get.
He faces life in prison. I don't know how long
that is going to be. I think, judging by some
of the stuff prior to the case, you could make
(52:06):
an argument dude's elevator doesn't go all the way to
the top, So the question is what happens from here?
He also probably has really good grounds based on poor
representation three two, three, five, three, twenty four to twenty
three at Chet Benson Show, is your Twitter, your ex,
whatever the hell it's called, all the other things right
(52:27):
here the Chat Benson Show. What I was surprised about
is the fact that the judge didn't force him to
at least have another attorney with him, even though you
have your right to offend yourself, because you recognize that
this is probably going to be potentially tossed out and
when he appeals, so who knows. Meanwhile, in the world
(52:51):
of autism, the battle continues still, which is it Thailand
ohl or no tailandol? Yes, no.
Speaker 23 (52:59):
Maybe the reason for the pushback is because there has
not been a definitive study showing causation.
Speaker 4 (53:04):
There have been observational studies.
Speaker 23 (53:06):
The largest of width showed no link, and then a
recent one showing a positive association. But the researchers of
that study even came out and said, that is sidamnifin
is appropriate to use from pregnant women when they're suffering
from a fevers or pain, as long as it's done
so with guidance, which we already do.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
It's interesting because doctor Oz is already starting to walk
back some of the stuff. He was up there, doctor
but Cherry, but Kerry I think his name was. They
took his study and said, look, this is the study
that one of the studies they quoted. Doctor Macery quoted
and he quoted it wrong. He said, the possibility of
(53:44):
some of these things happening, is there not the probability
or that it had because they hadn't looked at this
when it comes to humans. This was in I think
it was mice. So this is what I tell everybody
all the time when it comes to anything, Consult your doctor.
And if you don't believe your doctor, you don't trust
your doctor, find a new doctor that you do trust.
(54:05):
Three two, three, five, twenty four, twenty three at Chad
Benson Show, Is Your ex your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and
more coming up. A lot of stuff to get to,
including AI in Baseball, Chad.
Speaker 10 (54:19):
Benson Show, Son, Chad Benson Show, The.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
It is White Woman Wednesdays, where I have a little
fun with the white ladies out there, in particular the
progressive ladies, you know, the ones right who want to
tell everybody how bad they are, how bad that they
fail over and over again, no matter what it is,
whether it is their misogyny, their patriarchy, their hatred of
(55:06):
other people, color, whatever it is.
Speaker 15 (55:10):
You know.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
Yeah, get what I'm going with this, right, they of
what we do here. We have a little fun with this.
It's my lady Kylie here, right, We love her. I
absolutely defend everything that she says because I'm free speech absolutist.
Some of it tries to be crazy, some of it
makes me laugh. Some of it, I'm like, wow, that
jump is huge. But you know what, she's a good
time and we like good times here on the Chad
(55:31):
Benson Show. Take it away.
Speaker 11 (55:32):
I don't know why this is a hot take, but
just because someone dies in a tragic manner, does it
make them a good person? Does the man in which
he died horrible?
Speaker 21 (55:37):
Yes?
Speaker 12 (55:38):
Was it also very public?
Speaker 22 (55:39):
Yes?
Speaker 11 (55:39):
However, what's not okay is to completely change everything that
Charlie Kirk stood for in his lifetime and to compare
him to famous civil rights activists like Martin Luther King.
Junior Kirk and MLK fought for the exact opposite freedoms
in America. Kirk fought for the white man to be
able to say whatever he wants. Doctor King fought to
be protected from violent and it's because of those words.
(56:02):
I have seen AI generated posts comparing Charlie Kirk to
Jesus Christ and it is just absolutely convincing me that
America is going through a period of religious psychosis. I
made another video about this, but this is not normal,
nor is it okay to completely diminish the legacy of
civil rights activists by comparing him to a well known
white supremacist.
Speaker 12 (56:19):
The definition of a.
Speaker 11 (56:20):
White supremacist is someone who advocates for the advancement of
the right race and the superiority of the right race,
whether explicitly or not, which is exactly what Kirk did.
I hope he rests in peace, But at the same time,
I think we all need to use our critical thinking
skills right now and stop making this man into a
religious icon.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
Well, he's a martyr, whether you like it or not,
because he got shot and killed by a person who
thought that they were doing the right thing, because he
had a belief and that belief was based in his faith,
and that's if you're a dude, you can't become a woman,
and vice versa. And that guy took out his hate
(56:56):
and anger on Charlie Kirk. So like it or not,
he is a martyr. Do I think some of the
things that Charlie said about MLK m Oka was a
human being? MLK liked the ladies. Not gonna lie to
you on that he did. But do I think that
(57:19):
you know that the civil rights movement was a as
you know, the the the leading the way to DEI
and all of this stuff. No, I don't think that that,
But that was Charlie. That's the way he felt. That's
totally fine. Again, he had his speech that was free
until somebody took it away using violence. As we've been
talking about today, Ice facility in Dallas shut up. More
(57:44):
information coming in, and I'm sure the information is going
to continue to come in. Gunman is dead as we
go through all of this stuff. But you know when
when you star, when you're a child, like a baby
or a toddler, and you can't use your words, so
freak out. You throw stuff in you because you're not
using your words, and you resort to being frustrated. Well,
(58:10):
now you multiply that by a gazillion and put firearms
in it. So yeah, and you know what, I think
this nation needs a little bit of Jesus. That's what
I'm trying to tell you. Okay, speaking of women who
elect the lecture, well, a lot of.
Speaker 24 (58:28):
People I'm included and President Biden also think that a
lot of it is about racism and sexism, and those
are the reasons that you really lost, not because of
the time thing. What do you say to that, Do
you think this country will ever elect a woman president
in my lifetime?
Speaker 12 (58:43):
Probably not?
Speaker 1 (58:45):
I beg to differ.
Speaker 12 (58:46):
I believe that we will.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Yeah, I think we will. Well, Joy, I gotta be
honest with you, I don't I don't know how long
you're gonna go be here, So I mean no offense.
I mean, I'm not trying to be mean. I don't
know how any how long anybody's going to be here.
And you're eighty two. So all I'm saying is, I
(59:12):
don't know I'm going to be here, God willing, you're
here for another twenty years and you get to see it.
Do I think a woman will be elected. I think
there's a good chance a woman will be elected. They
didn't elect her because she was awful. They didn't elect
her because she jacked the pooch, because she should never
have been the person they chose. They didn't elect her
(59:33):
because she was part of the problem. That's why Hillary
was an awful candidate. She might have done the job
I've always said she would have done. She was a
corporate so she would have been fine. She was an
(59:53):
awful candidate. She was a horrible candidate. Much like a
lot of these people, they don't resonate as human beings.
They're very awkward in everything they do. And she was
always awkward words, salad, goofy, laugh when it didn't need it,
just choosing the wrong thing to say all the time,
(01:00:17):
and always feels like whatever answer she gives you, it's
like she's an eighth grader who has to give an,
you know, oral book report and she's not read the book.
Speaker 25 (01:00:28):
How do you blow an election when you're running against
a guy with so much against him at the time,
and the public looks at this and says, you know what,
she can't do it, she shouldn't do it. It's time
for her to leave the stage.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Well, and that's right, you know, kind of at some
point you have to look after a couple of times
and goo, maybe it's me, it's not them.
Speaker 25 (01:00:49):
Let's focus on the specifics. She did worse among black voters.
She did horribly among Latina voters. She did badly among
union members. These are three corks constituencies of the Democratic block,
and she did worse with them than any other Democrat
in decades.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Because she was awful. It's a simple thing. She didn't
resonate with you, with people, she just it's still somewhat
of a popularity contest. Yes, you've got to hit the
things that matter you got to hit affordability right, you know, jobs,
the economy. Immigration was a big deal because they just
(01:01:30):
were with immigration. Those things are a must that you hit.
But so much of it plays into being able to go, oh, okay,
I can hang out with you. I could see that. No,
she was always awkward, much like Hillary was a robot.
(01:01:53):
There was just nothing. There's nothing about her that was
it ceased to be human. At times, It's like, I
don't even know what this I mean, do they charge
you at night? How does this work? How do you
get along? What's where do you go from here? I'm
a robe I mean, that's what it felt like with her.
(01:02:15):
So it wasn't the color of scan. It wasn't the
fact that she's a woman. And I love what Frank
Lunz says here about you know, the running mates to
say that he couldn't be on the ticket effectively because
he was gay.
Speaker 4 (01:02:26):
It's hard to hear.
Speaker 12 (01:02:26):
No, No, that's not what I said.
Speaker 26 (01:02:28):
With the stakes being so high, it made me very sad,
But I also realized it would be a real risk,
and maybe I was being too cautious.
Speaker 12 (01:02:38):
You know, I'll let our friends, we should all talk
about that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
Maybe I was.
Speaker 25 (01:02:44):
She didn't choose the governor of Pennsylvania for the same
reason he was Jewish.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
He was Jewish.
Speaker 25 (01:02:48):
And the problem is these candidates were actually better than her,
that they had a strategy, they had tactics, but most importantly,
they had answers to the problems that matter. Moon In
the end, it is about personality, but it is also
about affordability, immigration, security, and who's got a better plan
(01:03:08):
for the future. And she never offered anything. Then she
still doesn't offer anything. Now it's her own responsibility. And
I've been on sets with Democratic consultants and they're driven crazy.
They want to blame her loss on either Trump being dishonest.
Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
Or Jatra's black woman, whatever exactly.
Speaker 25 (01:03:27):
And the fact is she was the worst candidate since
Hillary Clinton.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
And Democrats have to do better. They have to do better.
It's that simple. They have to do better. It's not hard,
but you've got to do better. That includes man and woman.
And they're so far behind in all of the important
metrics when it comes to voting, the economy, immigration, all
(01:03:53):
of there're so far behind because they choose the wrong
path over and over again. And then the people that
are decent well because they're not part of the activist class.
They get blown out of the water. So they're going
to continue to lose over and over again until they
get their heads out their butts.
Speaker 25 (01:04:11):
Traditionally, in the first year, when a party wins control
of the House to send in the White House in
the first year, the public turns hostile, and certainly the
press against Donald Trump has been very strong. The fact
that these leads are so significant, so overwhelming on all
the things that matter, tell me that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Either the Republicans have figured it.
Speaker 25 (01:04:30):
Out, which I don't believe, or that the Democrats are
really truly pathetic. If I was a Democrat and I
don't take sides, don't work on either side anymore, I
would be so angry at Chuck Schumer. How King Jeffries
is a good communicator. He knows how to connect, he
knows how to relate. His language is very strong. It's
(01:04:50):
a good presenter. Chuck Schumer puts people to sleep, and
that's on a good day. On a bad day, he
turns off Democrats.
Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
They go home.
Speaker 25 (01:04:59):
They don't want to put to s pate. And I
don't see how they win the majority back with Schumer's leader.
I don't and I like him as a person. I
enjoy talking to him. They're not going to win it back,
not until they focus on the things that matter, the
(01:05:19):
middle class, affordability, as you know, you need to focus
on those things.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Not until you say, hey, enough of the crazy DEI
super woke lunacy, get back to you know, kitchen table ideas,
lay those things out, talk about the American people, not
you know, little groups within there that are all wanting
(01:05:50):
to be victims, and lay out a plan that feels
like it's for most of America as opposed to certain groups.
And you can get yourself back. Give them here's the thing.
You can give them the roadmap. It doesn't matter because
(01:06:11):
they won't follow. It's going to take somebody that I
think is strong enough to be able to go in
and push out the old guard and come in with
new ideas. And we'll talk a little bit more about
that later because AOC everybody's talking about her running for
president and that's going to be very interesting because she's
(01:06:32):
kind of leading the pack right now. And one of
the big things is she is she's young. You know,
same thing with Mondani is they're young. They get it.
You've got to you know, people that are well into
their seventies and eighties who don't get it. They're safe,
they're comfortable, and they're not changing. You need fresh, fresh blood,
(01:06:59):
fresh meat. They're not three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three atch had Benson show, is
your ex your Insta, YouTube, Facebook? And more? Like I say,
we're monitoring what's going on and in these shootings. This
is you guys know this. We aren't like the others
who aren't rushing to find out, Okay, who did he
vote for? What happened here? Who's this? How many? What
(01:07:21):
we want is the real information about what took place.
What we do know there were people shot at a
ICE facility, so a US Immigration and Custom Enforcement field
office in Dallas. The shooter's dead, who he is, do
not know who he voted for, do not know did
(01:07:45):
he used to work there? All? I mean, these are
all the things and the conspiracies are already out there.
Those things will come out eventually. So just you know,
we monitor everything. I'm one of these people that and
and this is part of you know a lot of
people say, well, you got to run with stuff, Jed,
(01:08:05):
You're too worried about trying to get stuff right. I'm like,
think about how that sounds. Getting it right is important.
Telling the truth is important. In today's world. Being first
and being the loudest matters more than anything else. That's
not who we are. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four to twenty three. At Chat, Benson shows your acts,
your instant, YouTube, Facebook, and more. Relief Factor. Need a
(01:08:28):
relief man? I could use a relief Oh wait, I
have it. Really. Factor's incredible. If you try to think chat,
what the hell relief Fact tell me about it? So
you guys know, I work out a lot. I got
a big pick Aball tournament coming up, and I'm trying
to get myself really back into being fit. One of
the things is I'm lifting weights every day. I'm trying
to do twenty thirty flights of stairs a day. I'm
doing stuff that I haven't done in a while. Knowing
that I have relief Factor and that when I take
(01:08:49):
this and you take it every day, it's not habit
for me. It's great. My muscles don't ache, I don't
feel like, oh I can't work out for three or
four days. I feel amazing. My wife takes it as well,
and she feels amazing. And this is a woman who
struggles with a lot of muscle issues and no problems
feeling better than she has in years. It's what I
(01:09:10):
want you to do. Okay, you can go to Reliefactor
dot com. Reliefactor dot com and for less than a
cup of coffee a day get a three week quick start.
So three week quick start just nineteen ninety five. Again
less than a cup of coffee a day. You're going
to experience the difference in ways you cannot believe when
it comes to your joints and your muscles, and how
much better that you are going to feel. Go to
Reliefactor dot com. Relief Factor dot com will call one
(01:09:33):
eight hundred and four relief. That number is eight hundred
the number four relief for relief Factor dot com. This
is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 27 (01:09:52):
A hashtag me too, hashtag immigration reforms, hashtag help. I'm
trapped in a hashtag factory and I can't get out
the chat bensishell again.
Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
We're following the breaking news ice facility in Dallas shooting
three shot gunman is dead. Finding as much as we
can out about all of.
Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
This, I think more as we get it, and particularly
we're interested obviously in learning about the conditions of the
three individuals that were struck this morning.
Speaker 19 (01:10:22):
Yeah, that's I thirty five. The east side is where
you see most of the traffic. People are probably slowing
down to watch and see what's going on. Look at
all of the police cars. There's so many, so many lights.
You go all the way up to the top of
this is the access road. In Texas, you have your
main highway and then you always have those access roads
that run alongside our parallel to the highway.
Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
So it is there are I mean, with all first responders,
you're looking at seventy plus vehicles, maybe more, and we
know the shooters dead, that's it we have. Outside of that,
you know, we're finding out more to the condition and
you know how many times have and it's unfortunate that
we have to say how many times have we done this?
How many times we talked about this and it was well,
(01:11:06):
you know X word shot and then you find out,
well it wasn't that many, or everybody's fine, and you
find out people have died or they give you a number.
We'll find out throughout the day. We will. So it
is a horrible situation. Again, we do know that the
gunman is dead outside of that three other shot. What
their conditions are we do not know. And it's a
(01:11:27):
horrible situation. And we talk about the violence and the
chaos and the craziness that goes on. And you know,
the left always wants the point to the right about
how evil and horrible they are. This was probably something
that it had to do with immigration and anger. You know,
this is you're not helping yourself here. The rhetoric needs
(01:11:48):
to be brought down. Now. I'm not saying a hundred
percentage for this, but I'm just going to go out
if I had to take, you know, a make a
bet about what happened here. Anger, rick fear. Probably some
politics played a massive role in this, but we'll find
out more throughout the day. Three, two, three, five, three, eight,
(01:12:10):
twenty four to twenty three atch Had Benson Show. It's
your ex, your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook, and all
of the other things right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Coming up our number three of the program. A lot
of stuff still to get to, including our one hit Wonder.
We're still going to do that. More on what's going
on in Dallas, the shooting. We'll trying to find out
(01:12:33):
as much information as we possibly can about what's happening there.
We've got more on Jimmy Kimmel coming back, the un
a bunch of other stuff. At AOC, you know, we're
just talking about could a woman ever be president? AOC
is going to make a play now. I think herfully
should be the Senate. But would I be surprised if
(01:12:55):
she took a run at the White House and would not.
We'll talk about that as well. Be missing the show,
make sure you grabbed the podcast. Were number three of
the Chad Benson Shows. Straight ahead.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
So as the news broke earlier, shooting in Texas seems
to be a sniper shooting into an ice facility and
another horrible situation that we find ourselves in. Here's what
we do know.
Speaker 28 (01:13:52):
It appears to be a sniper from an elevated position.
We initially three individuals were shot. We do have multiple fatalities.
Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
That's todd Lyons second charge, Department of Hallland Security and
talking about what took place.
Speaker 28 (01:14:09):
The shooting eye from a self inflicted gunshot wound, so.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
He was I don't know if it was across the
street if he was in the same parking lot, it's
one of these plays. So this facility is not a
holding facility. So it's not one of these facilities like
we you know they talk about Alcatraz, you know, alligator
Alcatraz stuff. This is not This is a you are
going here, You're not being you're being processed and then
(01:14:34):
sent somewhere. And so you go here, you get like processed,
and then they even decide you're a citizen or you're
here legally or whatever it is, and then they send
you to wherever you're gonna go. So I'm getting this right.
So you go to these places and it's it's very
nonscript it's it's it's like a business park. You know,
(01:14:59):
you may have an accountant, small tech firm, and then
this facility, so it's super nondescript right off the thirty
five right there, so you drive by it. The thousand
and gazillion people drive by yang Ing Ying every single
day right off the frontage road. And we'll learn more
about who the shooter was and all that stuff later,
but the and we don't know, again, why are you
(01:15:22):
shooting who you're shooting at? Because these were the people
that they were processing, not any of the people that
were working there. By all accounts, there was a secure location.
Speaker 28 (01:15:33):
The shooter obviously fired into a spot where officers and
agents would be in inside of secure location where we're
doing a lot of our process with our resting individuals.
Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
So shooting in there, did they not? Was? Was it
straight off the bus and they put them again? These
are all things we're going to find out.
Speaker 28 (01:15:50):
All I thought agents and offices at the location are
accounted for right now.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
That's Todd Lines right there. He's second in charge Department
of Homeland Security. But we have multiple fatalities. I don't
know if it's one or again, these things move fast,
because one is it too. Those are things I have
no idea about who they are, what you know what
this is about. But there are multiple fatalities. The gunmen
(01:16:19):
not included because he took himself out, which you know,
why don't you try doing that first next time and
then if that doesn't work, well, then go from there.
I don't think that works that way exactly exactly. And
now the battle of whose fault is it? That's what
(01:16:42):
we're going to get to now, So be prepared for that. Insanity.
Whose fault is it, Who did it? Who did they
vote for, who did they vote against? What's on their
social media? Remember that pisses me off, piss us all off.
(01:17:04):
For God's sakes, we need to bring the temperature down. People.
Are you guys with me? We're the exhaust majority here.
Let's bring it down, is what I'm trying to tell you.
Let's bring it down. Frustrating. Lets all get out so
as we learn more and again tomorrow we're gonna know
(01:17:26):
a lot more about this. But Dallas facility ice sniper,
multiple victims, suspect dead, that's kind of it. Don't know
how tall he is, don't know who he voted for,
don't know who he loves or worships. Stay tuned news
at eleven. I think you're being sarcastic. I'm being pissed,
is what I am. We should all be a little
frustrated by this. It was talking the other day to
(01:17:51):
my buddy ken So the local show. He's the news director,
but he's my sidekick along with Belle, the technical guy,
and we have a lot of fun and we do,
and these things do get exhausting, they do, and they
get frustrating, and they and we always want to point
(01:18:12):
to the gun. Right this is you know, because there's
twenty different ways politics will play into this. It was
a micro facility. Did they know that? Did they not
know that? Was this just somebody who was pissed off
at the world and couldn't get a date?
Speaker 20 (01:18:23):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
Angry? He's been you know, blackpilled, you know inside that
wacky world of you know, the internet, deep dark Internet,
and they were going to take revenge and anger out
on everybody. I have no idea. You mean an inct,
I mean an inceel. Is it a person that knew
exactly what they were doing and we're going after ice folks,
(01:18:44):
but missed? Is it somebody that was going after the
migrants again? And it goes back to bringing the temperature down?
And I was telling Ken, I said, you know, Ken,
this is the thing that shows it's the bizarre problem
(01:19:06):
we have in this country. Everybody's going to blame the gun,
but the reality is we have a people problem where
they're pissed and angry and they believe that like a
toddler that can't use their words, this is what they
have to do. And I said, by the end of
the year, there'll be more shootings at schools, at facilities.
(01:19:32):
I mean, my god, somebody went up and shot at
a facility in Sacramento because Jimmy Kimmel was taking off
the air. This is unacceptable and the temperature needs to
come down. But it's not just the temperature. We've got
people that are they're smoldering in their hate and anger.
(01:19:59):
Their fusees is lit and it's it's a long viuse
and it's ready to go off. And when it does,
rather than just be angry in that moment and then
move on, they smolder and they let it get closer
and then then it happens. And it's just knowing that
you know, and and and man, the frustration I was
telling you guys the other day, kid brought a gun
(01:20:23):
to school where my kid is pissed and angry now
and by all accounts from what we're hearing, is may
have been about another adult on the campus. It was
a kid going after and the way they caught him
was different. But whatever happened to words, we got to
(01:20:44):
do better. It is an absolute must. The frustration level
I have for so much of this is it grows.
It grows on a daily basis because I want to
think we can do better, and I'm sitting there thinking
we're becoming more and more like toddlers. Let me know
to think three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three at Chad Benson, show to your ex, your instant,
(01:21:06):
your YouTube, your Facebook, and more. Normally do white Girl Wednesday.
We might throw one a little bit later because our
girl Kyli, she makes us laugh a little bit. But
this is a perfect example of this. You know, she's
trying to make an example here, this Lady of the
Right and Charlie Kirk. This goes for everybody.
Speaker 12 (01:21:23):
Stochastic terrorism.
Speaker 13 (01:21:25):
If people are telling you Charlie Kirk never heard anyone,
the word you're looking for is stochastic terrorism. Stochastic terrorism
is when public figures use mass communication to incite violence
against specific groups while maintaining plausible deniability. You demonize and
dehumanize a group of people, You paint them as an
existential threat.
Speaker 12 (01:21:43):
You use inflammatory, violent language.
Speaker 13 (01:21:46):
Then when someone acts on that rhetoric with actual violence,
you get to step back and say, I never told
anyone to do that. It's terrorism by statistical probability. You're
not directing specific people to commit specific acts. You're just
broadcasting hatred to me knowing statistically someone's going to act
on it, and it works. Misogyny is on the rise,
(01:22:06):
along with calls to remove women's rights. This correlates with
rises in domestic violence and harassment. Studies show anti LGBTQ
rhetoric directly correlates to increased violence against queer people.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
So now she's talking about, you know, Charlie Kirk, after
all this has happened, and you're demonizing this, well, I mean,
Charlie's the one that got shot. Charlie's the one that's dead.
And the right and I think at times rightly so
has every reason to you pissed because they feel like,
why are we the only one who always demonized with this?
(01:22:41):
Yet You've got groups of people out there who do
things that are ridiculous, and both sides are to blame.
And it's funny when you say that, they're like, no,
not on our side, it's the other side. No, both
sides are. Put your big boy pants on or big girl.
Don't want to offend anybody, put them on. Stop acting
a fool, use your damn words. This is insane that
(01:23:06):
you would you would get to a point where you
feel you need to do something because you're so offended
by a group because somebody ratcheted up, and maybe you
could take a step back and go, is this person
putting some mustard on stuff because they want to get
me really angry and upset and so I'll vote, or
that they really want me to go do something.
Speaker 13 (01:23:26):
Heinous When you have a platform with millions of followers
and you consistently tell them that certain groups of people
are an abomination or threats to children in society, some
percentage of those followers will take action. The insidious part
is when violence happened, Kirk got to step back and
say I didn't hurt anyone. But that's not how stochastic
terrorism works. You don't need to give explicit instructions when
you spend years painting a target on people's backs. He
(01:23:48):
built his career on hatred disguised as Christianity, violence disguised
as patriotism, and eliminationist rhetoric disguised his political discourse. So
don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking his words were harmless.
Words have impact, platforms have responsibilities, and hatred disguised as
righteousness is still hatred.
Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
Yes it is, but you're still you're still responsible for
your actions, and you're also responsible for how you interpret things.
So somebody saying that they're a Christian and they believe
marriage is between a man and a woman, and that
(01:24:27):
is their belief, and you interpret that is you hate
gay people and you want them all to die, or
something that's a you problem. Somebody picking up a weapon
or doing something based on the fact that somebody said
something that they interpret in their way. I've got to
defend this. I've got to fight this. I've got to
attack this again. You are responsible for your actions three two, three, five,

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
Let's find out what's trending on the interwebs on this Wednesday.
Start to with X, which marks the spot. Trump delivers
fiery un speech, very ad lib off the cup, the
usual stuff. You guys suck. You're all going the hell
(01:27:22):
we all know it. Federal agents arrest ANTIFA linked protesters
blocking Eugene Ice courts. Ooh, Google, They admitted that the
Biden administration pressured YouTube to censor COVID and election content.
(01:27:43):
Epstein m Amish was Trump.
Speaker 10 (01:27:48):
The other day?
Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
What do you say the Amish they don't have autism
because they don't take Thailand all and the Amish like
we do take thailandol if we need to. That's not true.
Ah with Trump, who cares, right, as long as we're
having fun. Over to Google. Rudy Johnson, former Bengal passed away.
David Fry hit in the face yesterday taking to the hospital,
(01:28:14):
and man, it was tough. He went down to lay
down to bunt and as he went to lay it
down to the pitcher was inside and you know how
like they squat down a bunt Man hit him right
in a face, right in a dome. Ryan Routh or
Ryan Ruth, that's the guy who tried to kill Trump.
And we don't have to say allegedly because he was
convicted yesterday. He was so angry he attacked his attorney
(01:28:34):
and stabbed him by the way he represented himself. So
there's that Jimmy kimme alive you're talking about that Zion
Williamson basketball players decided, you know it, this year, I'm
gonna try and uh seene as. They're paying me a
crap ton of money and I'm gonna try not to
be fat. And he's got a new fit body, Trump
un speech, All things training over there three two, three, five,

Tilan all all things trending in the magical world. Heah who.
So last night there was a special election in Arizona
(01:29:40):
and the woman that won, she took over for her father,
uh Arilite Griholva took over for her father Rahul, who
passed away. I think it was in March. Here's the
thing with her winning that gets them everything they need
to release the Epstein files. I thought that would be dramatic.
(01:30:07):
So now Mike Johnson, still think it's a fake name,
has to figure out what he's gonna do. I don't
know what he's gonna do. I don't uh. He could
take it into a committee and try to kill it there,
but he's gonna need several things to happen. This is
going to be for all the stuff we talk about.
Right he's trying to get over the line with you know,
(01:30:28):
trying to get an extension on the debt. What can
we do to kick the can down the road. He's
got this big thing going on because it's you know,
fairly important. Apparently he's now got to figure out how
to try to stop this thing and not look like
they're stopping it for a reason that is, we want
to protect people. Ooh ooh, kids, get ready for this
(01:30:49):
is about ready to be some fireworks three two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chet Benson Show. It's
Your Acts, your instant YouTube, Facebook, and morning you're missing
the show. Read the podcast.
Speaker 29 (01:30:57):
It is The Chat Benson Show, Son Chad Benson, Joe,
(01:31:21):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
We'll get back to the shooting in Dallas in a bit.
We're learning more about what took place today. Earlier ice
facility and a different kind of facility now a facility.
It's a holding facility, more of a process facility, but
sniper and we're going to learn more of the next
couple obviously hours and days, but multiple fatalities, and that's
(01:31:49):
kind of what everybody knows. I mean again, there's the
conspiracy theories and all that stuff that's out there. I mean,
welcome to the world. We live speaking to conspiracy theories.
White Girl Wednesday, our Girl Kylie.
Speaker 11 (01:32:00):
Social media platforms are pushing conservative conspiracy theories. I looked
up one conservative influencer on my TikTok account, and now
my feed is filled with anti vaccine videos because I
looked into one conservative influencer and saw a couple of
candae Owen's videos as well. Now my feed is trying
to push me into the alt right pipeline, and this
(01:32:20):
has happened to me on multiple social media networks. A
few studies have found evidence supporting this claim that far
right media gets pushed more heavily onto users, and I
think this is correct because of the more fanatical nature
of a lot of these posts. Conspiracy theories are interesting,
so of course they are going to get pushed off
automatically because those videos.
Speaker 12 (01:32:38):
A lot of them, go viral.
Speaker 11 (01:32:39):
The problem is there is great harm in anti science
and anti medicine videos. Not only this, but wellness is
a conservative pipeline and it often leads to more extreme views.
First it starts out with anti vacs and then suddenly
someone is subscribing to whites prefaces propaganda, and it is dangerous.
Speaker 12 (01:32:55):
So I hope that these.
Speaker 11 (01:32:56):
Media companies can be held accountable for pushing such irresponsible,
in dangerous rhetoric.
Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
I love her, she's fantastic. First of all, how we
went from the whole anti vax straight to everything ends
with white supremacy, which makes a smile because she's fine. Secondly,
having questions and you know me, you listen I'm not
a plague enthusiast. I'm not an anti vaxxer. I don't myself.
(01:33:25):
I don't believe that Thailand all causes autism. I think
there's probably several different factors of which genetics plays a
huge role. That being said, asking a question about vaccines
not anti vacs. Remember the left prior to COVID were
(01:33:53):
the anti vaxxers. The left were the ones that thought
COVID cause I mean, vaccines caused autism. Vir Jennie McCarthy
and all that. That was the left. Then COVID came
and it became political. The other thing. I'll try Kylie
and she went to Brown for theirs. You don't know.
Usually she tells you that. And this is important. If
(01:34:17):
you like something or interact with it on these platforms,
they're gonna send you that. What do we always talk about?
It is like a genie as you wish. So if
I like hilarious videos about the high Racks that I do,
(01:34:38):
and he screams at everybody and he's funny, I get
five hundred of those all the time too. If you've
never seen the High Rats, it's great. This guy he
fights with this high Rax it's what's he called. It
is his discount weasel. It's just it's spectacular. It is
so and that is one of my favorite things to so.
(01:35:00):
But it will feed you what you ask for, and
so it's not doing anything that you didn't prompt it
to do, if that makes sense there. Meanwhile, last night,
Jimmy Kimmel returned to the stage. Everybody who's wondering what
was he gonna say? Was he gonna do? How was
he gonna add? What was he gonna say? Was it?
How was it was gonna apologize? Was he gonna do
(01:35:21):
a lot of stuff? Right? A lot of stuff came out.
He went after he fought for free speech, and I
am a free speech advocate absolutely one hundred percent. When
we joke with our girl Kylie there, I will tell
you this right now. I will defend her right to
say whatever she wants to say and how she believes.
(01:35:44):
I will defend her right to do it. And I
will and I go on at times and I will
argue with other people who say horrible things about her,
because I find it asinine that she's got her opinion.
This is what she believes, is what she thinks, she
understands that's fine, and you can. And there's a difference
between saying I disagree with you let me tell you why,
as opposed to what a lot of these people say
it better. But that's anything. I mean, it is anything.
(01:36:05):
During the break, I was, you know, answering a text
for my son, but I got this thing up for
well the soccer guys I follow and it was a
little long winded. But by the time I went into
his comments, there was like seventy five people telling him
how much he sucks. And it's sports. It's like, this
is what we are now, this is what we are.
(01:36:27):
One of the things though, was he going to apologize,
was he going to set the records right? What was
he going to do?
Speaker 3 (01:36:32):
But I do want to make something clear because it's
important to me as a human, and that is you
understand that it was never my intention to make light
of the.
Speaker 4 (01:36:41):
Murder of a young man.
Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
I posted a message on Instagram on the Daves killed,
sending love to his family and asking for compassion, and
I meant it I still do. Nor was it my
intention to blame any specific group for the actions of
what it was obviously a deeply disturbed individual that was
really the opposite of the point I was trying to make.
But I understand that to some that felt either ill
(01:37:04):
timed or unclear, or maybe both. And for those who
think I did point a finger, I get why you're upset.
If the situation was reversed, there was a good chance
I'd have felt the same way. I have many friends
and family members on the other side who I love
and remain close to, even though we don't agree on
politics at all. I don't think the murderer who shot
(01:37:25):
Charlie Kirk represents anyone. This was a sick person who
believed violence was a solution and it isn't it ever,
And also selfishly, I.
Speaker 2 (01:37:38):
Thought that was well done. I thought he he didn't
hold back going after Trump. He didn't hold back in
calling out the hypocrisy of Trump and the FCC, CAR
and everybody, which I thought was spot on. He talked
(01:37:59):
about all the people, by the way, who go who
He said, Look, these people don't agree with me. There's
a lot of them that don't. But you know what,
I want to thank them because they came out hard
for me, which I thought was smart, really did. And
then he ended it in his monologue with this a
moment over.
Speaker 4 (01:38:19):
The weekend, A very beautiful moment.
Speaker 3 (01:38:21):
I don't know if you saw this on Sunday, Erica
Kirk forgave the man who shot her husband. She forgave him.
That is an example we should follow if you believe
in the teachings of.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
Jesus as I do.
Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
There it was, that's it, a selfless act of grace
forgiveness from a grieving widow.
Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
It touched me deeply, and I hope that.
Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
It touches learning and if there's anything we should take
from this tragedy to carry forward, I hope it can
be that and not this. So thank you for listening,
and Alan Morrison when we come back.
Speaker 2 (01:39:09):
So that was him last night, and I think he
I think he sounded good try. I think he's genuine.
He's very emotional. Again, I don't watch the late night shows,
but I'm a free speech advocate and to me, last night,
I thought he did what he needed to do. There
is so much more to politics, as we've been talking
about with the FCC people forget too, Disney's trying to
(01:39:30):
buy the NFL network, which we'll need FCC approve. All
of this stuff that is going on. It's not just
as simple as we're going to get you off. Because
of this, this, and this, there's a lot more at play.
And I didn't like the way the FCC handled it,
and I heard a lot of crap from some listeners
out there. But you know what, I give you the
honest opinion about the way that I look at things,
(01:39:51):
and I hold everybody's feet accountable right and left. And
if we can't do that again, we've got to take
off these glasses where we are shining only our sides
good and hiding any bad that we might have or hypocrisy,
and on the other side we only shine the light
(01:40:12):
on the other side's bad. We've got to stop that.

the Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
With all the chaos and tragedy going on today, we
do need an opportunity to take a deep breath and
maybe smile a little bit. Get the juices flown. We
call this one Hit Wonder Wednesday. This is where we
into a song that quite frankly made a smile from
a band or a group that came, saw conquered, and
(01:42:08):
then ja they disappeared. And today's a toad tapper, Kid,
Today's a toad tapper. Are you ready? Now it's time
for another edition of One Hit Wonder Wednesday. You may
(01:42:29):
not remember the name of the band, but you definitely
know the song. This Bruiser, this is one Hit Wonder Wednesday.
(01:42:52):
All right, one Hit Wonder Wednesday. I have to go
back aways, way back, way back. Indeed, we're talking thirty years. Now.
Here's the interesting thing. The song has been around for
so long, and I'm talking about so long, but the
(01:43:12):
one version of this song that has been played on
numerous occasions, if I'm correct, since the fifties, there's been
over one hundred and fifty versions of this song recorded.
Think about that for a second, since this version that
we're going to play you. But this version is the
(01:43:34):
only one that stands out. A bunch of others have
done it. It's been in a movie, The Urban Cowboy,
The Moody Brothers version of the song received a Grammy Award.
The Irish group The Chieftains received a Grammy nomination for
Best Country Vocal Collaboration for their version of this with
country singer Ricky Skaggs. But out of all of those versions,
(01:43:58):
only one of them managed to hit the top forty
in America and it didn't even do that great. But
this song that has been around since pre Civil War,
there's been many versions of it. This song from this
(01:44:18):
group is heard almost daily and I can guarantee you
when we play it, you're gonna go, oh, Chad, that's
gonna be my head all day long.
Speaker 4 (01:44:29):
Good.
Speaker 2 (01:44:30):
We want it to be so. This version of the
song was produced in nineteen ninety four, put together by
a Swedish DJ supergroup kind of. They took their name
from a misspelling of the word rednecks by spelling it
(01:44:52):
ried and ex. They had personas on stage that included
the original lead singer Mary Joe her real name is
Anaka Lundberg by the way she falls me in the
Old Insta, Bobby Sue, Kent, Olander, Ken Tacky arn Arnstead,
Billy Ray, Jonas Nielsen and Mop But when you put
(01:45:15):
them all together with the fiddle, the euro dance music
and everything else. Oh kids, you know what I'm talking about,
Because if it hadn't been for Cotton Eye Joe.
Speaker 12 (01:45:29):
Forgotten Joe.
Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
I've been married long time ago.
Speaker 4 (01:45:32):
Where did you come from?
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
Where did you go?
Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
Where did you come from?
Speaker 17 (01:45:35):
Cotton I've been married long You come.
Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
From Wady, you come from today's one hit wonder Yes,
the Amazing Rednecks with Cotton Eye Joe. The song's origin
(01:46:37):
have always been a mystery. Many people think it came
from the time of slavery, but it even predates that
because there are similar versions that come from the sixteen
and seventeen hundreds in Ireland as well. Nobody really knows.
(01:46:59):
It's interesting and the whole Cotton Eye Joe thing, the
way that they look at it is, in some cases,
is it about slavery. It could be. There were some
racist undertones and certain versions of it, but in other
versions it was about a person who drank too much
moonshine and went to little sideways, if you know what
I mean. Song peaked here in the United States at
(01:47:22):
twenty five, but its lasting impact is incredible because you
can't go to a sporting event in America and not
hear this song, and guess what, you can't do that
in Europe as well. And no matter what language you speak,
you tap your feet, you dance and you do your
thing because it's infectious. It's a groove that's fun and
(01:47:47):
thank your Rednecks song is enjoyable. Today's one Hit Wonder
is The Rednecks with Cotton Eye Joe. Many Way you.
Speaker 17 (01:48:06):
Come from Wadyady, come from.
Speaker 18 (01:48:11):
Many You coming from Wady, Buddy, you come from.
Speaker 4 (01:48:32):
I've been married Loan Waity.
Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
You're coming from Wady.
Speaker 4 (01:48:36):
You go waddy'd you come from? Cotton do oh?
Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
I love that song, The Rednecks Cotton Eye Joe. You're
one hit Wonder on this Wednesday three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Shows,
your ext your Insta, YouTube, Facebook and more. Love it
when we hear from you. And remember, if you have
any suggestions for one Hit Wonder Wednesday, send it off
to us right here on the Chad Benson Show. Hell
of a show. Today, another day, another shooting, more frustration
(01:49:04):
and anger. The why, well we'll find that out, I'm
sure in the coming hours and days, But just another
frustrating time. It's like we can't seem to get past
this situation where the anger, whether it's politics or the
fact that some people can't find a date and they
get black pilled in cells. We're joking about here, but
(01:49:26):
that or not quite sure. It's just frustrating as hell.
We need to bring the temperature down. I think you
guys would all agree with that. You guys, have a
blessed and amazing rest of your Wednesday. We got you
over the hump. We will do it again tomorrow. Keep
yourself safe, be kind to each other, and as always,
night night Jack.
Speaker 1 (01:49:44):
This is the Chad Benson Show.
