Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the fight. Tweeted and truth
around the world in this corner. Born in South Africa,
raised all over the world, he is the undisputed wealthiest
(00:38):
man on the planet. He has got several companies including SpaceX, Starlink,
and Tesla Elne the Muskrat Murder and in this corner
(00:58):
he's seventy eight years young, a billionaire playboy who has
dominated the political world for the last ten years. He's
withstood not one, but two impeachments. He's also one not one,
(01:19):
but two presidential elections. He's got sued and been tried
in the court of law. He is the man that
leads the Republican Party and the world at large. The
(01:40):
forty fifth and forty seventh President of the United States
Donald John Trump. All right, boys, let me tell you now,
hitting below the belt, but definitely start hitting below the belt.
(02:00):
I want you to say stuff that may or may
not get you guys sued you over there, you threaten
to take away his contracts, and of course you over here,
you threaten him with the Epstein files. I want you
to fight clean and at the same time fight dirty
and fight on your own platforms. Good luck, let's do
it and do what they did, ladies and gentlemen, and
(02:21):
do it they did yesterday. If you weren't paying attention,
what started out as a quiet Thursday started to get
a little spicy. And from the spice it went from
mild to hot to infuego to ghost pepper in moments,
(02:47):
and he got ugly fast. I said for a while
that two could enter, but one would eventually leave. You know,
we joke about you know, King Kong, God's Tilly can't
be in the same room. We can say all the things.
The reality is, this got ugly fast, and now you've
got well, god knows what. And this was always gonna
(03:12):
happen based on what each other wanted. Trump got everything
he needed out of Elon right. Elon took the slings
in the arrows. Elon gave him a quarter of a
billion dollars and helped the Republicans get over the line.
Elon came in and he got all the hype and
the fluff and did all the stuff while Trump was
(03:32):
president pointing out all of these things. Elon did all
the things Trump needed, but Trump didn't care about any
of the stuff. That Elon did. Elon thought he was
coming in to fix something. Trump's a politician. Your fixes
they sound good, and if they don't mess with my
(03:53):
agenda and what I want done, then we'll do it.
If it becomes more of a headache, then no, this
isn't going to happen. And that's where we are now.
This isn't going to happen. And just because you can
do something doesn't mean you should. People have been asking
(04:13):
me for the last eighteen hours, who do I think
is in the right. I'll throw it out there. I
think Elon has every right to be pissed. I think
he has every right to be upset. I think people
should be pissed because the Republicans lied about what they want,
which was to cut the debt. That's giant, huge debt
that's standing overs. They don't care about that. There is
(04:35):
bad and we've said it for years as the Democrats.
It's not oh, let's not spend money. No, let's not
spend money over there on the things that I don't
care about. Let's spend it over here. But the office
itself deserved more respect, and that's where Elon went wrong.
Trump will win this. There's no doubt because he's the
(05:00):
president of the United States. But Elon's going to get
his blows in, and Elon is going to go after
people that will be vulnerable in the mid terms if
he's still pissed and he wants to go at it,
and in doing so, could make life hell for Trump
(05:24):
in the subsequent two years of his presidency before he
is in theory turned out, because you know he's always threatening.
Who do you trust? Massy, trust the math from the
guy that lands rocket.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Gets backwards over the politician's math.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I think that patient is on life support.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And if the Senate thinks they're going to rehabilitate it'
and rewrite it, I think they're instream this patient. Nobody
cares about the bill now. The fight is all that matters.
And I saw a lot of people out there saying, well,
this was all part of a brilliant strategy to get
the focus off the bill so you could get it
(06:11):
over the line and all of that. No, here's the thing.
You went scorched earth when you essentially said Epstein, that's
why you're not getting any of the files. Trump and
Epstein are friends, they were pals, They were best friends
for a decade, Trump took a lot of tress. You're
(06:32):
implying that, you're implying that he was a part of
everything that the Republicans and that MAGA have been saying,
these cover up of Peedo Island, all this stuff, and
that Trump and the MAGA folks that have been leading
this have duped you. Because there you went absolutely scorched earth.
(06:53):
That's a hard thing to come back from. Hey, sorry
about that thing where I called you a pedophile in
front of two hundred million people. That's a tough thing.
Cuomo believes that there is something that Trump is going
to do about that tough thing.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Now Trump hasn't responded. Some are taking this as an admission.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
Not me.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I think again, unless Musk does some serious as kissing
on the quick, Trump is going to sue him for defamation.
And if Trump sues, I think he wins.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Now.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
I don't often like Trump's use of litigation. I didn't
like it when he threatened to sue my parents for
giving birth to me true story. And I don't like
him sue in sixty minutes. No way they lose that lawsuit.
For editing, they always edit, most interviews are edited. CBS
is just over a barrel because allegedly their merger won't
be approved until the suit is settled. That's dirty pool.
This is different. The reason a public.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Figure is easy to insult is because there's a.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
Very highly bar To prove damage, you have to show
that the person who said it showed actual malice, what
they call reckless disregard of truth.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (08:09):
That means that you knew or had reason to know,
that what you put out was wrong, and you did
it anyway. This is not just Musk the mogul. This
is coming from Musk, who was so close to the
White House that he had all kinds of clearances and access,
with his doge guys digging through everything. Trump could argue
not only is the allegation false, but that Musk knows
(08:32):
it's false, he knows what he said is bs, and
then he could force a huge settlement or a humongous award.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
What if it's not. What if he knows the opposite,
that there are things in there that are so.
Speaker 7 (08:49):
Bad that.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
To release them, even if Trump didn't do anything, there's
enough in there that would turn people off. It's it possible,
of course, of course, it is anything as possible at
this moment in time, But it takes away from the fact,
(09:15):
all of this fighting that this bill is absolutely a turd.
It's a giant, massive turd. And as they both fight
over right, you know this this bill, the rest of
us sit here and go, Okay, it's childish, it's stupid,
it's you know, it's ego driven. But America, Americans, the taxpayers,
(09:40):
the middle class, we got to eat this nightmare. That's
why I said earlier. Do I think Elon is right?
I think Elon is right, but I think the way
it was handled was absolutely one hundred percent wrong. He
has a right to be pissed off. He is a
right he got you know, I think he felt I
(10:02):
got used and I got abused. No, you got politics,
and even the wealthiest man in the world guess what politics.
So when people said, well, you know, there'll probably be
friends again, it's possible ish, but it's not going to
(10:23):
be the bromance and the thing that was before, it
isn't because when you call somebody allegedly a pedo, that's
a hard thing to come back from. Politics is a
hot freaking mess.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
It is.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
I mean, it was interesting to watch in real time yesterday,

Speaker 15 (14:12):
I'm Republicans still old an eight point lead on the economy,
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 16 (14:17):
The President and the Trump administration have been very clear,
if you are in the country illegally, you are subject
to deportation.
Speaker 13 (14:24):
Right, it's fun. I'm my motor.
Speaker 11 (14:32):
It's done.

Speaker 14 (15:26):

Speaker 17 (15:51):
Even Elon Musk, who's been part of the whole process
and as Trump's buddy, says the bill is bad. You
can imagine how bad this bill is.
Speaker 18 (15:58):
Cleveland's upset because we took the ev mandate and you know,
which was a lot of money for electric vehicles.
Speaker 19 (16:05):
I've always liked Elon.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
He said, quote whatever like children. All that being said,
when it comes to the feud, the reality is the
big bill is big? Is it beautiful? I'm thinking it's not.
But you know what, that's just me, you do you boo.
But this affects all of us. The reality is it's
(16:27):
still out there and they still got to get over
the line. Now, let's get the bill passed.
Speaker 18 (16:32):
We want to get it passed through Congress without delay.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Well, there's going to be some delay, and the question
is going to be with this delay, what does the
Senate do? What can they carve out? What can they
do in this situation that makes it not so big?
And we touched on it earlier. Remember Elon thought he
(16:57):
was coming in and doing something that he thought was
gonna help, you know, knock the debt down. Trump doesn't
care about the debt. It means very little to him.
He doesn't He wants the tax cuts, he wants all
of that. He doesn't care about debt. He sits there
and says he does, he doesn't care about it. You
(17:18):
gotta spend, spend, spend. They care very little about the debt,
the Republicans or the Democrats. It means nothing to them.
It might be a time bomb to our kid's future
future future, but in today's world means nothing, which should
frustrate us all. If you miss the show, Gud the Podcast,

Speaker 1 (18:01):
The Chat Benson Show is.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
That time of the week where we have a little
bit of fun. Some of the stories we didn't get
to and obviously there's one that's kind of especially over
the last eighteen and twenty four hours, is kind of
soaked up all of the attention, if you will. But
there are other stories out there, some of them fun,
some of them interesting, and some of them just bizarre.
(18:26):
Let's do it, baby. You know what this is called.
It's the Wheel of Surprise. We spin the wheel. We
have the audio for it, but I don't know what
any of the stories are underneath here. I may have
read it, I may have not. We're gonna comment on it,
have some fun. It's the Wheel of Surprise number six.
Speaker 13 (19:01):
Bread.
Speaker 20 (19:01):
Don't panic. It's still twenty twenty five, but some restaurant
chains are betting a blast from the past will help
usher in new business.
Speaker 21 (19:09):
The nineties are.
Speaker 9 (19:10):
Back at Chili's with the new six dollars radical reado.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Remember the nineties when everything was.
Speaker 20 (19:15):
Colorful and Mall's work been Maybe you're just old enough
to remember this tune I want my baby back, maybe
that baby back, or maybe that was well before your time.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
So I came across the story early this week and
I wanted to talk, just didn't have time to get
to it. But you know, every twenty years, every twenty
five years, stuff comes back into style again, right, and
the nineties restaurants because of these old commercials that have
been running on the insta and the TikTok and the
(19:49):
YouTube have sparked a nostalgia when it comes to restaurants
and well, people are trying to go back in time
food style.
Speaker 22 (19:58):
How old are you team?
Speaker 20 (20:00):
Either way, restaurant chains like Chili's want you back.
Speaker 7 (20:04):
My baby back, Baby back, baby back.
Speaker 20 (20:06):
Yeah, but your generation wants the triple dipper. Yeah, he's
talking about the piping hot sensation making waves on TikTok.
Speaker 16 (20:13):
Where the skull.
Speaker 20 (20:16):
As gen Z and millennials share their epic cheese polls.
On social media.
Speaker 23 (20:20):
There's some videos about like going there and to the
Chili's for example, obviously like just going there with your
friends and like sharing like a triple dipper.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Platter, triple dipper platter. See now you guys are thinking,
oh that sounds good. I remember that you've got to
bring in a younger generation. And one thing I know
about the younger generation is, you know, my son, young
mister Jack, will be out here today flying in. In fact,
as we're speaking right now, he currently is on a
plane heading here. Him and his sister Lily's, who's same
(20:53):
age they are. They love that nostalgia they do. They
like going rift shopping. They're looking for nineties concert t shirts,
and they want to do like they want to go
to the mall. There's some sort of pullback to a
time of yester year, if you will.
Speaker 20 (21:12):
To explore this strategy of luring in customers new and old,
we went into the wilds of the Rainforest Cafe.
Speaker 24 (21:19):
You guys drove.
Speaker 21 (21:20):
Two hours, you drove one hour, all to be right
here exactly, all of them hungry for some nostalgia. Given
that you were not alive in the nineties. Do you
feel like you just stepped back in time.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (21:32):
A lot of the anomatronics remind me of old Chuck.
Speaker 20 (21:35):
E Cheeses, and that's by design.
Speaker 25 (21:37):
It is easier to fall back to nostalgia and you
may not even have to advertise it.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
No, you may not have to. And when I watched this,
they were at the Rainforest Cafe, and I'm like, ah,
I remember the Rainforest. How big that was? Oh geez.
Speaker 20 (21:54):
This New York Times report shows how casual dining restaurants
keep turning to retro packaging and freeboots of dishes from
the past to attract younger diners.
Speaker 25 (22:04):
They have to balance both their main customer base, which
is mainly Gen X and Baby boomers who are going
for consistency, and then you have all these new Gen
Z customers who are asking for all sorts of experiential marketing.
Speaker 20 (22:17):
This strategy of old meats new already the catch of
the day of red lobster.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
One thing that won't be changing these Chudar Bay biscuits.
We got that right for first time.
Speaker 20 (22:28):
Welcome back, the once bankrupt seafood chain undergoing a millennial
makeover with its new thirty six year old CEO, telling
NBC last fall, he's laser focused on reeling in the
next generation.
Speaker 7 (22:41):
If you want to have a future, then you need
to engage younger.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Guests period case clothes, keeping what you have and expanding
the tent and they're doing it through nostalgia. It's called
the wheel of surprise. We spin the wheel, what's the
next story? We will see round and round it goes,
(23:06):
and we are number.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
Two.
Speaker 26 (23:14):
You don't often see three unanimous Supreme Court decisions in
cases with hot button issues, but here the High Courts
members were on the same page when it comes to
the rights of gun manufacturers, discrimination based on sexual preference,
and tax exemptions for religious institutions.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
That's right. Scotis came out with some rulings this week
and one of them was and again they're nine oho
and we've talked about most of the time Scotis's rulings
are seven to eight one nine zero. The controversial ones,
which are culture based a lot of times, those are
the ones that everybody focuses on. But a vast majority
(23:53):
of these things are eight one nine zero. So the
one though that she caught a lot of people's eyes
was the discrimination or is they called the reverse discrimination
suit that was brought.
Speaker 27 (24:08):
The plaintiff, who was seeking to sue the Ohio Department
of Youth Services, where she had worked for fifteen years,
brought her claims to court. They were tossed out by
a federal appeals court that said she had to prove
something higher because she was a white, straight woman. She
had to show some background circumstances in order to even
get in the courthouse door.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
But what the Supreme Court.
Speaker 27 (24:28):
Said today is it's a level playing field for everybody
under Title seven. No matter who you are, you simply
have to show a plausible case of discrimination and then
you can bring your claim.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Is it was wait what she was reversed? She was
a white woman. Yes, it was a white woman. It
had nothing to do with the color of her skin.
It had to do with the sexual preference.
Speaker 27 (24:45):
Ooh Title seven of the Civil Rights Act prohibits discrimination
on the basis of sex or sexual orientation. What had
happened in this case is Marlene Ames, the plaintiff who
was seeking to sue the Ohio Department of Youth Services,
where she had worked for fifteen years, brought her claims
to court. They were tossed out by a federal appeals
court that said she had to prove something higher because
(25:06):
she was a white, straight woman. She had to show
some background circumstances in order to even get in the
courthouse door. But what the Supreme Court said today is
it's a level playing field for everybody under Title seven,
no matter who you are, that's.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
You like that. So they said, yeah, you can bring
a case, but you know, discrimination for a white woman
or a white male that's straight, you have to prove
so much compared to others who may not have to
prove as much to get in the door. And they said, no, no, no, no, no,
(25:41):
it doesn't work that way. Now, just because she won
this portion of it doesn't mean it's over.
Speaker 19 (25:46):
At least with respect to federal discrimination law. The court
is saying, this is no longer nineteen eighty one. The
same standards need to apply. And to be clear, this
does not mean that Ames wins her case. It just
means she gets another chance to press the case without
that hurdle.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
So we'll see what happens with that. It is the
wheel of surprise. We spin the wheel, where does it land?
Speaker 28 (26:08):
We shall see number.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Nine o'siel.
Speaker 29 (26:27):
The county's top law enforcement officer could now feast up
to thirty years in prison. The now former sheriff will
enter his plea for racketeering and conspiracy to commit charges
during an arraignment on June thirtieth.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
So this is a situation where you've got a sheriff
in Florida who you know, was the first, you know,
broke boundaries and barriers, and well, lo and behold dudes
running a racket of gambling and all kinds of things
and pulling in big dollars doing it.
Speaker 29 (27:02):
Marcos Lopez made history back in twenty twenty one, becoming
the first Hispanic sheriff in the state of Florida, but
his tenure wasn't without controversy. Lopez claimed to have accidentally
posted a photo of thirteen year old Matti Soto's body
to his personal Instagram page less than twenty four hours
after the missing teen was found dead in the woods.
(27:23):
Following fdl's review of the incident, Lopez was added to
the Brady List. The Brady Lisch tracks officers who could
be a problem if they testify in court because of bias, misconduct,
or dishonest behavior in their past.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
So he didn't start out real strong after he got
that position, and then it went sideways from there. They
estimated about twenty million dollars in the gambling ring, and
then he had to show up to court do all
the things. Dot wasn't a regular. They've been looking at
this guy for a couple years. We're talking twenty twenty
three when this thing started.
Speaker 30 (27:55):
According to HSI, the investigation started in twenty twenty three.
The allegations at Marcos Lopez was involved in a massive
gambling operation. It's also one that brought in more than
twenty million dollars, investigators saying it all started after Lopez
took office in twenty twenty. The gambling operations were allowed
to set up illegally and run in his county, all
(28:15):
in exchange for cash.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
That's the way that works. And then the walk of shame.
Speaker 30 (28:21):
Marcos Lopez walked into this federal building, but just minutes later,
stripped of his gun and his badge, put in handcuffs
and read as rights, asking agents what this was all about.
What it was about was a month's long investigation for racketeering.
He was arrested and booked in the Lake County jail Man.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Have fun, sir, I don't think you're going to have fun.
It's the wheel of Superbrise, number her eleven.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
You know, I worked so hard through that title.
Speaker 24 (29:08):
The greatest moment of sixteen year old Clara adams young
career taken away from her because of a celebration after
winning the four hundred meter event at the CIF State
Championships with the time of fifty three point twenty four seconds,
her dream of winning a state title went up in
flames after celebrating using a fire extinguisher.
Speaker 31 (29:29):
When she blew the fire singuisher, the opponents were gone.
That was our moment of celebration, and CIF officials made
that about them. The crowd went crazy, They loved it.
The booth cf booth went crazy. They loved it. But
those few guys and those jackets they took offense to it,
didn't like it, and they made a decision based on emotions.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
So for all the talk last week, because the cia
F Track and Field Finals in California with the trans athlete,
This sixteen year old old won the four hundred meter,
she was favorite to win the two hundred. After the
four hundred meter, everybody had finished and she was like
the only one on the track. She walked over. Dad
(30:10):
hands her a fire extinguisher, which is a celebration that
happened decade plus ago with another famous track star, and
she kind of like put her shoes out, like she
was running so fast they were on fire. It disrupted nothing,
and within moments they stripped her of everything and disqualified
(30:30):
her from running in the two hunder which she was
a favorite to do. I think it's just are you
kidding me? The ridiculousness of this and the no fun
for sports that schools have made in today's world is
just frustrating, absolutely frustrating. Poor thing. Three two, three, five,

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Welcome to Chad. No, not the country, the institution, the
Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
More and Moore's coming out about Mangione, not Chuck, but
the awful shooter in New York of the healthcare CEO
as a file new paperwork, and this was I mean this,
this stuff is devastating. There's no doubt Luigi's going away
forever facing the death penalty. This is but when you
(32:45):
listen to this, I mean, this bizarre world that these
people who are anti capitalistic and I am, there's no
love loss here when it comes to the healthcare companies.
But to think that this was somehow going to to
fix something it hasn't.
Speaker 22 (33:03):
In a new filing detailing the evidence against Mangioni, prosecutors
pointed to bullets found at the scene etched with the
words deny, delay depose, arguing it shows an intent to
violently broadcast a social and political message to the public
at large. And we're learning how Thompson was allegedly stalked
the night before the shooting. Prosecutors say Mangioni is seen
on surveillance video appearing to talk on a cell phone
(33:26):
as his target walked past him on the street.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
So guy had it planned out, stalked him like it
was his prey right, and then made the move.
Speaker 22 (33:37):
In handwritten pages, they say Mangioni wrote about rebelling against
the deadly greed Field health insurance cartel, saying I don't
feel any doubt about whether it's right justified.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
The target is insurance. It checks every box.
Speaker 22 (33:50):
Mangioni even imagined the future news headline insurance ceo killed
at annual investors conference.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
He thought about a lot of things, and you know
now they're getting a look at into his mind, and
was this the number one choice. That's also a question
because there seems to be maybe somebody else or something
else that he thought about going after.
Speaker 22 (34:14):
The new court filing also shows MENGIONI may have considered
a different target with the initials KMD, but decided it
would be perceived mostly as sick and do nothing to
spread awareness improve people's lives. It's not clear what those
initials KMD stand for.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Well, he is going to spend forever in jail, so
that's all he needs to kno W speaking of New
York and trials, Oh, somebody who he may not be sellies,
but they could be in the same vicinity chun.
Speaker 22 (34:47):
Colmbs is not supposed to react with facial expressions to
the testimony, but the judge said he caught Colmes nodding
vigorously and looking at the jury. If it happens again,
the judge, who called it absolute unacceptable, said he would
consider excluding Combs from the courtroom for the remainder of
the trial.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Man, this isn't going to end the way he thinks, unless,
of course Trump pardoned him. I'm kidding. It's got to
be a troll. But still to be excluded from the
trial would be bad because you're gonna spend forever in prison,
so not being there to hang out at least outside
of the cell and jail, this is kind of the
(35:31):
last hurrah for you. That's my thought. Three two, three, five,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show. Is
your extra insta in all of the stuff right here
in the Chad Benson Show. Coming up, our number two
of the program, more on the battle that is Elon
versus Trump, King Kong versus Godzilla. What is next for
(35:55):
these two? Will they ever rekindle their romance? Or is
the bromance dead? Some people very happy about the bromance
being dead. They got what they wanted out of Elon,
and now they want Elon to go away. We'll talk
a bit about that. A lot of other stuff to
get to as well, and clear our buddy Zach Abram
chievestment officer board. We'll talk to him about this and
(36:17):
what does this mean for Tesla and Elon musk in
the investment where we'll talk about that, a lot of
other stuff. Our number two straight ahead, Chad Benson chap
This is.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
The Chad Benson Show. The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
It was never if, but when and when came? And
now what Trump and Elon at each other's throats saying
horrible things, in particular Elon and after the whole thing
(37:17):
with the Epstein that right there was man, that was something?
Was that the dazzband? They dropped the bomb? Yes, that's
what that was. He said, it was the bomb. And
it's what happens when emotion gets into situations. All of
us have had emotions where we've said something to somebody
(37:39):
that we regret. I've blown off the handle. I mean,
I'm a human being, but I've never accused anybody of
being a pedo, because that's what you're implying there about
the whole Epstein thing. So then what happens, Well, you
take a deep breath and you start to think, ooh,
(38:05):
did I make a mistake or did I not make
a mistake? Hmm, So do they want to talk? This
is interesting? Jonathan Carl from ABC News and this is,
by the way, here's an access. You say all you
want about Donald Trump, here's access that is crazy. Jonathan Carl,
(38:30):
and he slams ABC News all the time, calls Trump
this morning, just calls him. You called the president on
his cell phone at six forty five. He picks up.
Speaker 32 (38:38):
Yeah, he picked up.
Speaker 33 (38:39):
Look, there's been reporting out there that the White House
is working to put together a call between Elon Musk
and Donald Trump to brokers some kind of piece. I
asked Donald Trump about that. He said he's not particularly
interested in talking to Elon Musk. He said, Elon wants
to talk to him. He's not ready to talk to
to Mosque, who he called a man who has lost
his mind.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
They have a lot of level over each other. Oh,
there's no question about that.
Speaker 33 (39:03):
Look, Elon Musk obviously the richest man on the planet,
the biggest Republican donor in the history of Republican donors.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
And that's a big deal because do I think Trump
wins this? Yes, Trump got everything he wanted out of
Elon and this it lasted as long as it did,
But the last sixty days were a strain. And the
reason is both of these guys. You're around these guys.
(39:32):
First of all, ego's huge. You don't get to this
position in life without having some sort of ego. Secondly,
he had worn thin. Even when Trump wasn't dealing directly
with Elon, he was dealing with people who were dealing
with Elon and that was causing a problem see truth
(39:55):
out or whatever you know it. He had worn out
as well. Welcome. It's one of those guests you invite
over for a couple of days to help you out
with stuff, and the next thing you know, he's living
on your couch. And I think that's where this thing
got to. And you're like, dude, thank you for all
that you did, but we're going to handle it from here.
(40:19):
But Elon felt like, hey man, you guys, you weren't
really serious, were you. I came in, I stopped down
running my companies to come in and do something I
thought you were serious about, and you're not. You just
don't want to waste money on somebody else's crap. You
(40:41):
want to waste it on the stuff that you think
it needs to go to. And I'm not saying everything
is wasted, but you go and cut You know, first
of all, you over promise and you under delivered. That's
got to be a kick in the grundle. Secondly, as
I said, and people got mad at me, well, Jed,
you don't know bureaucracy and the way that this has
(41:04):
set itself up is government protects government. And that's what
you saw in the bureaucracy and the battle that was
going on. While Congress was cheering Elon On saying go
go go, the reality is they were never going to
codify and do a lot of the stuff that he
(41:25):
wanted because it wasn't in their interest. And that's really
and again, when I say their interest, whenever I hear
both parties talk, it's mostly about the parties and rarely
about the people. So this was more than just this.
I mean, this was an absolute insane Thursday last night,
(41:48):
Lonely scott On cned.
Speaker 34 (41:52):
Now, as for Trump, he's got a bill and an
agenda that is now in serious jeopardy. Man, these men
too emotional these days to lead. Apparently it's kind of
scary heavy. Is that bad for you to breathe?
Speaker 35 (42:10):
This is what Okay, I'll be pouring this in my
news nightmug tonight. Pepto bismol is what we all need
here in the Republican Party.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
And he pulled out pepto because the irreconcilable difference is
that he said there's no way that they can't come
back together at some point in time. And I never
say never about any of that stuff. But I think
he realized that yesterday was one of those things where
it was a move that you're threatening to take away contracts.
(42:44):
You're threatening this, you're threatening that, you're telling everybody the
reason the Epstein files aren't out is because of me,
et cetera, et cetera. That's that's a bomb dropper kind
of that's like you going scorched earth. More from Lonely Scott.
Speaker 35 (42:59):
I know that we have our differences here sometimes, but
if you could just if you could give me a
little dispensation for the next hour and not beat me
to death.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
This is Look, here's the deal.
Speaker 34 (43:08):
The goal is you don't have to you know, you
don't have to defend either of these men.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
You could just and here's the problem. Here's here's the problem.
They both have a point.
Speaker 35 (43:19):
Trump's agenda is in the bill and he wants to
pass it.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
That's his point.
Speaker 35 (43:24):
Musk is not wrong about the national debt, and he
deeply cares about this, and that's his point. So their
goals are not mutually exclusive, which is I think the
rub And for all these Republicans out here who like me,
have really enjoyed this coalition, this partnership. I mean, I
firmly believe that the relationship, in the partnership they formed
(43:44):
last year saved America and put us on a path
to saving Western civilization. And now this puts that in jeopardy.
And so it's not just about the daily policy quibbles.
It's about the larger cultural things are at place. So
I'm going to have some of this tonight and hope
for better days and better skies tomorrow, because I still
love them both, and I hate it when mom and
Dad are.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Trump oddly enough, been somewhat restraint compared to Trump. I
mean he fights back, he pushes, There's no doubt about that.
I mean, we all recognize that's who Trump is. For him,
this was a little bit more mild, what's our saying here?
Always with Trump, he could pick a fight in a
(44:28):
dark room with his own shadow. So a little bit
of restraint and now what we'll find out doesn't mean
that they won't talk again. Doesn't mean that they won't
speak because the amount of money must put into this.
But also, while I do believe Trump will win this,
(44:50):
how long does that last? Because Trump needs to win
the midterms, and if Elon decides Okay, you know what,
I'm gonna spend money elsewhere on primarying these people or
on the Democratic side to get the Republicans out of office.
(45:14):
If he does that, that's where Trump will feel it.
So the short term, right now, Trump wins, he's the president,
and you should have treated the office better, Elon. Long term,
it's gonna be interesting. It is because Trump still has
to deal with the fact that Elon's gonna go back
(45:37):
and do his stuff. And yes, he threatened to pull
his contracts down. There can we just be no, don't
do it. That's first of all, you doing that based
on a fight. That's not gonna look good and I
don't even know if it's legal. Secondly, we need a
(45:57):
lot of what Elon does. Hate him, have a disdained form,
whatever you want. We still need SpaceX, the starlink. I mean,
these are the things that are important that we need.
Take away the feelings for one another. You gotta say,
(46:20):
all right, hold on, cooler, Calmer heads have to prevail
in this situation. And I think there will be a
calmer moment at some point in time where maybe they
speak on the phone, maybe they don't, but that one
solid romance kind of romance thing, yeah that's done and
(46:44):
doesn't And the other thing, and this is something I
think that people need to pay attention to when it
comes to these two is jd Vance was really pushed
by Elon Musk and I think that right there is
(47:08):
something that you pay some attention to. And then the
other side of it, you also had Don Junior who
liked jd Vance, but there was no doubt that Elon
played a huge role in jd Vance and him getting
picked to be the VP candidate. Who oh, what a
tangled web we weave when it first we lie to
(47:31):
each other because it's good politically for me and not
so much for you. But we did like your money.
Thank you so much for that. We appreciate that. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show

that we talked to our buddy Zach Abraham coming up

in a little bit about what's going on with this
the cow to craziness, but also some of the stuff
that Elon and we've talked about this. Elon's not wrong
about this fat, crazy Bill and where we could be headed.
(48:13):
And that includes the R word, especially with tariffs and
a few other things. So we're going to talk a
bit about that as well. You'll join us at the
bottom of the hour. Zach Abrahm, chief investment office from Borg.

Speaker 36 (49:53):
President Trump says the US and China will be meeting
soon to continue trade negotiations. The Commerce and Treasury Secretary
and US Trade Representative will be representing the administration. The
President last month dropped tariffs on Chinese goods from one
forty five to thirty percent for a period of ninety
days to allow for trade talks between the two countries.
President Trump said on their call, President G invited him
(50:14):
and the First Lady to visit China, and he made
a similar offer for G to visit the US.
Speaker 2 (50:19):
I doubt any of those things are happening anytime soon,
but trade talks are still going on. With all of
the other noise and the chaos and the craziness and everything. Yeah,
there's still stuff happening out there. But as we all know,
when it comes to China, Donald Trump, don't trust China. China.
That's the way I think a lot of people feel
myself included when it comes to g and what they
(50:40):
want to do. I mean, this week, what did we have.
We had somebody who tried to bring in agro terrorism, agriculture,
bio weapons that would have destroyed meat supply as well
as crops. So no, don't trust China. Speaking of not
trusting ladies and gentlemen, that whole thing with Ukraine. Yet
(51:01):
it's still going.
Speaker 18 (51:02):
On sometimes and this is me speaking maybe in a
negative sense, but sometimes you see two young children fighting
like crazy. They hate each other, and they're fighting in
a park and you try and pull them apart.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
They don't want to be pulled.
Speaker 18 (51:17):
Sometimes you're better off letting them fight for a while
and then pulling them apart.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
I would have went with a hockey analogy. If you
ever watch hockey, two guys start throwing blows right the
linesmen's and the rafts will kind of surround them. They'll
throw blows and once they've kind of punched themselves out
that's when they step in and split the two up.
After what took place in that massive attack with the
(51:43):
drones on Russia, you know what's coming because Putin told them, sorry,
I have to respond.
Speaker 37 (51:49):
A ferocious Russian assault following Ukraine's coordinated drone strikes deep
inside Russia. Russia now blasting residential high rises in Ukraine's
second large city of Kharkiv, the barrage leaving more than
forty people dead or wounded across Ukraine.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
It's gonna get uglier. Russia is not gonna take this
lying down. The pain inflicted by Ukraine was large enough
to warrant a response that will have several waves.
Speaker 37 (52:21):
And Ukraine is now bracing for even more three.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Two, three, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
shows your act your instat right here on the Chad
Benson Show.
Speaker 37 (52:33):
A response to that stunning Ukrainian drone operation. Drones lifting
out of containers atop trucks and flying to their targets,
destroying at least ten Russian warplanes, including nuclear capable bombers
worth billions.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
What did Trump call it? Kind of badass? Kind of
was what do you think? But with all the battling
going on. There's only one war that anybody's paying attention to,
and that, of course, is here in America between the
richest man on the planet and the most powerful man
on the planet. And what's going to happen next, Because
(53:11):
even if they come back together at some point in time,
this is going to be a situation where they're going
to have another fallout. There's always going to be this unease.
And you know, modern politics, yes, but in a different
way because of how divided we are. I mean, this
(53:35):
was look yesterday was beyond ugly. You intimated that the
reason we're not seeing the Epstein files is because Trump's
not just like on there. He's on there. That's what
you intimated. That he's a part of all of the
(53:56):
things that everybody's accused, the likes of Linton and Prince
Andrew and all of these powerful men of doing it. Man,
that is a tough road to come back from. Speaking
of coming back, will Tesla bounce back, We're gonna talk
to our buddy, Zack Abram, Chiefvestment Officer Board Capital straight ahead.
If you're listening to the show, grab the podcast. It
(54:18):
is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 7 (54:22):
Son Chad Benson Shoe.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
It's that time of the week. We talk financial market
stuff as well as a little bit of politics, because
how can you not in this situation joining the show
Friend of the show sponsored the show Sack Abram Chief
Investment Office or Bulwark Capital. Well, Zach like the best
way to describe it. And I've said this for a
while that it's the great Connor McLeod from the Highlander movie.
(55:12):
There can be only one, and it wasn't if. But
when you can't put King Kong and Godzilla in the
same room and not expect them to square off at
some point in time, too many egos? So, uh, what
do you make of it? Man?
Speaker 38 (55:26):
You know, we were talking a little bit off air
about it, but a you know, all too predictable, right,
I mean it just yeah, you know, I had the
hopes just because I think that Elon is a it
can be a very influential and helpful, you know, obviously
helpful character and part of the Trump administration. At the
(55:52):
same time, I think that he's totally justified and being
really frustrated. I mean, you sit there and do all
the work at DOGE and watch the dealerships go up
in flames and take all the bullets he's taken personally
for that, and then you turn around and pass a
bill that increases the deficit by four nderd and fifty
billion or something like that.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Well, nolly, that look at this you took. You spent
god knows how much of your own money to help
him get elected and the Republicans on top of that, Zach,
you you also took slings and arrows pre the election
and run up, and then you did all the work
and what you didn't even get an ugly gold watch
(56:34):
on the way out handshake, You got pushed aside slowly,
and then one half ass afternoon press conference and away
you went. Well yeah.
Speaker 38 (56:43):
And then the other part of it, too, is that
if you go back for those people didn't watch this unfold,
and you know it's one of the advantages of doing
what I do for a job, sit in front of
screens all day long, and you know it's certainly, certainly
part of it. But when you watch it unfold, the
first comments that Elon made were not personal at all,
(57:03):
and it was totally directed at the bill. He wasn't
even saying anything about Trump. And I watched a couple
of those because he was going directly after the bill.
And I watched a couple of those tweets, and I go,
I Trump's gonna He's gonna respond.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
He shouldn't.
Speaker 38 (57:20):
He should just leave this alone and handle it with
class and just say, you know, Elon and I agree
to disagree on this, but we thank him again for
his service.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Is that what he does? No? No, no, he can't.
Speaker 38 (57:32):
He's got to bark at every passing car. And you know,
it just reminds me of that old adage, or not
old adage, but something I've been saying since the first
Trump term, which is he's a pretty good doctor. I
just think he's got a really bad bedside manner.
Speaker 2 (57:48):
Yeah. I think it's a great way to put it. Man.
I mean he is. I've said this since day one.
He could pick a fight with his own shadow in
a dark room. He loved right like, he leans into it, Zach.
He love the fight. He loves to to do this.
This is a different world, right. This isn't some some senator,
This isn't some congresswoman or person that you can primary.
(58:10):
This isn't even some far away, you know, foreign leader
that has nowhere near the power you do. This is
a man who, as I said earlier today, could flip
a coin for your wealth and if he loses it laughs. No, yeah,
he could.
Speaker 38 (58:25):
He could financially, he could financially target you and ruin
you just for a good.
Speaker 2 (58:29):
Time for the rest of his life.
Speaker 38 (58:30):
Yeah, And you know that's obviously not the most important thing.
And I'm glad that the president isn't making decisions, you know,
as it relates to what benefits his net worth at
least as far as this situation goes. But it also
it just it does nothing to strengthen like what you
really need to get what to get what Trump wants
(58:53):
done and to get what well what he says he
wants done, and what I would like to see done
in this country is Look, you got to come to
the realization. And I know I'm not telling you and
that the vast majority of your listener is anything they
don't know, but to fix the things that we need
fixing that need fixing in this country, you have to
form some type of bipartisan coalition. And I think Elon
(59:16):
Musk made that a much easier task. By and large.
Now he's not gonna win over the woke he's but
nobody is right. I mean unless you dye your hair
blue and start saying that little boys are you know,
is the same as pregnant women. I mean, you're not
gett you know what I mean. Those people aren'tna agree
with you anyway.
Speaker 2 (59:34):
They're insane.
Speaker 38 (59:35):
But I think Elon, I think Elon uh greatly increased
the size of the conservative tent. I think he made
it okay for a lot of intellectuals to you know,
think differently and speak differently and say things differently.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
And this just it just doesn't help anything. And he's
got the money too, because like I quit it to you,
I got a picture Mom and Dad right now, because
he's threatening, you know, Trump will come after you don't
vote for the big bill. There's only a few people
that are gonna be able to get away with it
and unscathe because you know, like Thomas, you know, like
Massey and the few of these guys that are always
a no. But man, you know the zech you're sitting there,
(01:00:17):
he just said a little while ago again Elon said
you should pick me over him because he's gonna die
before me. And as if to say, I'll ruin your
political life for decades if you don't make the right call.
Kind of this is they didn't just burn the boats.
They they drain the water after they burned the boats.
(01:00:37):
Then they put hot lav in there to make sure
there was no retreat. And when you tweet about Epstein
like he did, yeah, that you're not you're implying something.
Speaker 38 (01:00:49):
You're going all in is what you're doing, all right,
like the gloves are off. The other thing is that, now, listen,
this very well might be one of those comments that
I come back.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
To regret a lot later.
Speaker 38 (01:01:06):
But the other thing is that this could actually spell
the permanent demise of the Republican Party as we know it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 38 (01:01:16):
And what I mean by that is if you pay
attention to what somebody, somebody said something like tweeted out
something the effect of Elon and JD in twenty twenty eight,
and Elon retreated that and said, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Yeah, well he said let's start a third party. Yeah.
Speaker 38 (01:01:31):
And I think and have long thought, that he and
JD see things much more similarly and have much more
in common than he and Trump ever did, and more
so than JD and Trump do. And I think JD
is sort of the face of the new Republican Party,
meaning even from where he's from, right like me, the
(01:01:54):
traditional blue collar Democrat has now been forced to immigrate
to the other side, right, And and I think JD
is representative of that, being from Ohio growing up. He'll
billy elogy all that kind of stuff. He's kind of
he's kind of the face of the modern blue collar conservative.
You know, that's that's about protecting the middle class and
(01:02:16):
taking care of the working man and all that kind
of stuff. And you know, I think, again, we'll see
how this goes. My last big political prediction ended up
pretty good, saying that I didn't think Biden would be
on the ticket. That seemed like a much safer bet
than this does. But I think that this will also
(01:02:38):
serve as the death knell of the modern Republican Party.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
As you know, talking to Zach abramg Vestment Officer Bulwark Capital,
all right, Zach, some of the other things that you know,
we talk about, the the childishness, the accusations, et cetera.
The reality is one of the things that he tweeted
out is these tariffs. We haven't felt them yet, but
(01:03:01):
America will be in a recession by the second half
of this year, and I think a lot of people
are thinking, no, that can't happen. I look and say,
it's definitely a possibility, depending on where these tariffs go.
But that to me was as shocking as anything else
(01:03:22):
outside of the Epstein files.
Speaker 38 (01:03:24):
Okay, So to your point, some really interesting news has
been coming in. Okay, So we've had pretty big employment
misses on back to back days, with the unemployment numbers
moving up slightly today and then ADP yesterday, the job
the payroll company reporting payrolls with a massiveness. Again, these
are still data points. One of them does not necessarily
(01:03:46):
mean anything. But there's then if you look at the
GDP numbers, you're gonna see what looks like really good GDP. Okay,
we really dug into this and got really wonkish about this,
especially my research, because he understands the way that GDP
gets calculated, and what he was saying going into this
(01:04:07):
quarter is he goes, look, GDP is going to look
artificially strong in the second quarter because of that because
of the trade deficit narrowing due to tariffs. But it's
like a one quarter blip noise, right, Like it's just
it's a screw up in the numbers. Okay, when you
(01:04:28):
start looking underneath that, what you see is virtually you know.
I mean we're talking about name brands here, Lululemon, Nike, Starbucks, McDonald's,
Jack in the box.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
You go down.
Speaker 38 (01:04:41):
So many consumer facing companies are struggling. Airline companies struggling.
Then I saw another one out yesterday that kind of
gave me the willies. Now, now think about this. In
this last quarter, heelock loans have so to a seventeen
year high. The last time people were pulling this much
(01:05:03):
out and helocks was in two thousand and eight. Now
I am not suggesting two thousand and eight is coming.
What I'm suggesting is there's two things that explain helocks
getting hit that hard.
Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
One is there's.
Speaker 38 (01:05:18):
Been a big drop in rates and people want to
consolidate debt.
Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
Well, that ain't the case, right.
Speaker 38 (01:05:23):
You got thirty year mortgages still pushing six and a
half to seven percent. Yeah right, You got the thirty
years still north of four or five.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
So that isn't it right? Why?
Speaker 38 (01:05:33):
And I've talked to so many business owners that are
saying it's slowing down.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
I'm talking to construction guys.
Speaker 38 (01:05:39):
They're like, hey, the good thing is is you can
find subcontractors.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
All of them are.
Speaker 38 (01:05:43):
They're easy to get now when you look underneath the surface, man,
I will be unless something really dramatic happens on the
trade side, I'll be surprised if you're not in recession
in the second half.
Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
Honestly, well, if you're worried about what you're going to
do with your investments of where things are going, Man,
this is why we talk to you all the time.
What do people do to reach out to you because
I think it's important.
Speaker 38 (01:06:11):
Well, I agree, and then the other part about it,
and we never promise performance.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
But it's not just about the US market.
Speaker 38 (01:06:19):
We're having a really good year, up double digits on
the year, and it's not anything fancy. We're just looking
for value stuff outside the US, And meanwhile, everybody's bidden
up these US companies and nobody's paying attention. There's a
lot of in gold and precious metals are gold and
ballistic and it's I mean, we're looking our chops. I
wouldn't want to be long the SMP for the next year,
but anyway, just people definitely need to get a second opinion,
(01:06:42):
and if not with us, from somebody else. And you
need to make sure you're internationally diversified. You need to
make sure you got precious metals. We are going into
a completely different regime and it's going to catch people
off guard. The FED can't come to the rescue like
they have in the past. So best way to do
it is give us a call Bullwarkcapital Management dot com.
Know you're riskpodcast dot com and we've got another free
(01:07:03):
webinar coming up.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
We'll we'll talk about that.
Speaker 38 (01:07:05):
I think it's about three weeks out, but yeah, sign
up for that at Bulwarkcapitalmanagement dot com. And like I said,
it's not about just chicken little. We're gonna save you
from a collapse. I don't think a collapse is coming.
I don't think that's it. But what I do think
is that American markets are in a really tough spot.
They're obscenely priced and Lululemon today got blown up after
(01:07:27):
hours twenty percent down due to them cranking their profit
estimates way back. So meanwhile, outside the country, we got
our stocks going up every day. There's there's plenty of
opportunities out there.
Speaker 5 (01:07:39):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:07:40):

This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Deep States no deep doo doo eyah, the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
It's the latest challenge when it comes to the internets.
So if you see this, there's something going on and
look around for somebody holding a camera.
Speaker 29 (01:09:31):
If you all of a sudden see people falling to
the ground, don't panic. They may be taking part in
a popular social media challenge.
Speaker 39 (01:09:38):
Why are all of these people suddenly falling to the ground.
It's the Andy's Coming challenge and it's taking over social media.
Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Red Alert, Andy is coming upstairs.
Speaker 39 (01:09:53):
The popular trend is based off the Pixar Classic Toy Story.
All of the toys fall down and play dead after
they hear Andy's coming. Check out these doctors and nurses
outside the o R. These students get in on the
action in their classroom, so do their teachers, even in
(01:10:15):
the school cafeteria. This softball team definitely understood the assignment.
So when you hear Andy's coming.
Speaker 20 (01:10:29):
All fall down, it looks like fun.
Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
But don't fall too hard.
Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
That's all right, don't fall too hard because you'll die.
I really know. That's the latest challenge. You know what.
That's a better challenge than I don't know, eating stuff
you shouldn't eat, like tide pots. Donald Trump travel band
the other day, and we talked about it earlier in
the week. This wackadoo, that idea that they're gonna take
(01:10:56):
the World Cup away from us, They're gonna take the
Olympics away from us. That's not true. Well, some of
these countries they've got they're on the list. They're banned
that you know, Trump's banned them. Yeah, that's the average
person people coming here for the World Cup of the Olympics.
If a team from one of these countries makes it,
(01:11:16):
it would be great if Chad was in the World Cup,
but we know that's probably not gonna happen because they're
not very good at the soccer game. Here. The reality
is they would still be allowed to come.
Speaker 10 (01:11:25):
Okay, all the constituents that you know so well that
come to the city pre games and during the games.
It's very clear that the federal government understands that that's
a environment that they will be accommodating and provide for,
and so we have great confidence that that will only continue.
It has been the case to date, and it will
certainly be the case going forward through the Games.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
No doubt that will happen. So this fear that they're
going to take everything away from us that's being pushed
by immigration pro immigration people, that Trump is destroying every thing,
and that nobody's going to do business with us and
they're going to take away all of our the games
and this, that and the other that is an blatant
(01:12:08):
lie being pushed by people paid to push that crap.
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benson Show, is your ex, your Insta?
All of the other things right here on the Chad
Benson Show. Coming up, our number three of the program. Yes,
more on the big battle than he is, and it's
(01:12:30):
a big battle. Indeed, we've got a little what's trending
and finally Friday Sounds as we wrap up this week
as well. And it's been a hell of a week, right,
I mean it just it was really weird. This week
was quiet for the most part. Little thing here, little
thing there, but nothing too chaotic and crazy. And then
(01:12:51):
all of a sudden the way it went, So we'll
have a way it went crazy sounds and all kinds
of stuff straight ahead. If you've been end either show,
grab the podcast. It is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Will they or won't they come together and bury the hatchet? Well,
I'm sure at times yesterday Elon and Trump would like
to have buried the hatchet into one another. But could
there be somewhat of a reconciliation? Now you tweet out
(01:13:55):
some of the stuff that you tweeted out about Epstein
and whatnot, that's a hard like I'm going to welcome
you back in the fold. And I want to remind
everybody Donald Trump cares about winning the midterms, getting his
policies through. And if you think he cares about the debt,
(01:14:18):
you're fooling yourself. He don't give a rat's ass. He
doesn't He doesn't care about that. It means nothing to him.
He wants to get this thing through. There are people
that care about this stuff and there are people who don't.
Elon was of the belief that you cared about this stuff.
(01:14:39):
They have two different agendas that they were working on
that included cleaning up the swamp and getting rid of
all the inefficiencies and finding ways fraud in the views,
and there wasn't a ton of it. I don't see
the receipts now. I'm not saying there's not a lot
when you compare to what the average person makes and
stuff and what the average GDP is around the world
(01:15:01):
for countries. But overall, the government was a little bit
more efficient than I think they thought. It still doesn't
mean that they're efficient when it comes to the day
to day stuff because they haven't caught up with technology.
But Elon went there and he wanted to find all
(01:15:21):
this stuff. He wanted to cut stuff. He wanted to
get us to the point where we were actually having
a surplus year after year, and because of that, we
were starting to pay down our debt faster. And it
wasn't going to be the problem in the future for
our grandkids, because we're past our kids now. We sold
their future a long time ago. Now we're looking at
the grandkids. And then the battle began. Two separate things
(01:15:46):
they wanted. The question is will there ever be peace
among the men?
Speaker 15 (01:15:52):
Peter, Yes, there may soon be peace on the horizon.
According to a report in Politico this morning, White House
aids scheduled to call Friday with the billionaire CEO of
Tesla to broker a piece. President Trump talking about this
doesn't sound mad, but he does sound disappointed.
Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Elon and I had a great relationship.
Speaker 18 (01:16:14):
I don't know if we will anymore, but I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Very disappointed in Elon.
Speaker 18 (01:16:18):
I've helped Elan a lot, and I'll be honest, I
think he misses the place. I think he got out
there and all of a sudden he wasn't in this
beautiful Oval office.
Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
Now you hear that and you think, oh, there's going
to be something going on. Well not so fast, because
Jonathan Carl reached out today to eat to Trump early
(01:16:47):
in the morning and was told Trump's not really interested.
It is the I'm telling you, man, you even hit
towards Hey, you may be a pedophile. Wait what, that's
a tough thing to come back from amongst friends and acquaintances,
let alone hundreds of millions of people. Trump told me
(01:17:11):
he has no interest.
Speaker 33 (01:17:12):
He's not particularly interested in talking to what he called
the man who has lost his mind. So I wouldn't
look for a daytont anytime soon. Trump, I have to say, though,
he didn't sound particularly concerned about all of this. He
wanted to talk about other things, and he was rather
dismissive of the whole controversy.
Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Which is probably good. Try to put it behind at
this moment in time, because you still have to try
to get across your big, beautiful bill, which is and
I'm with Elon, and this is a turd. The way
you handled it right, you could be both right and wrong.
You're right to be upset, You're right to be frustrated.
(01:17:56):
It's all there for the world to see. And I
get that how you went about doing it, well, that's
a different thing. And that bill's still out there, and
that bill I still think is ugly and nasty and
was Elon pissed a bit about the EV's and the mandates. Yeah,
(01:18:20):
I would assume so right now. If you guys don't
know this, it's not just about the EV mandates here,
b yd and we've talked to our buddy Zach Abraham
when we talked to last hour. If you missed an
even go grab it. It's a very interesting conversation about
all of this stuff in how it affects financial world.
But he's talked about it for quite a while. Byd
(01:18:42):
in China is crushing Teslas at about fifty percent of
the cost, and it does a lot more. So it's
not just here. Elon's had issue with Tesla going forward
and it didn't help yesterday all the stuff that went
(01:19:04):
down and the whole EV mandate. You know a lot
of people saying that's one of the reasons why he's pissed.
It's possible, there's no doubt, but as Peter Navarro put
it here, it shouldn't have been a shocker.
Speaker 32 (01:19:16):
If I had a dime for every time President Trump
said on the campaign trail he was going to end
the EV mandate, I had a ton of dimes. And
he is a man who keeps his promises. This really
isn't about the ev money per se. What's about with
the CBO is an historic pattern of getting their forecast wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
If you go back there now he starts to go
into the big beautiful bill and they do get it
wrong long term, but they get it right in the
short So the first two years of a bill spending bill,
(01:19:58):
they get it right pretty damn You know, they're right
about eighty percent of the time. Where they go wrong is,
you know, you put something out there and this is
supposed to cover ten years, Well, you're going to have
a change sometimes in the appetites if you will, of
how we spend, how we interact with the economy, etc.
You're also going to have a change in potential politics.
(01:20:22):
So some of that stuff that's implemented today may go
away in four or five years, or they may do
something to it. So you're forecasting numbers that may not
be it's too far out to get a real handle
of what it may actually be. Doesn't mean they get
it right all the time. It doesn't mean that this
(01:20:44):
bill that they're passing is going to be all the
worst things. But let's take the CBO out of it.
Go look at the several other independent groups that have
studied this and put out their own reports. It's bloated,
it's big, it's spending, it does none of the stuff
(01:21:06):
that they said they were going to do, and the
tax cuts over time, they're not going to be paid for,
and we're eventually going to end up another if it
went full hog, probably two to three trillion dollars in debt.
That's not a win for me. That's not And there's
a lot of other stuff in here too. Let's take
all that stuff out. The AI stuff is interesting about
(01:21:32):
basically having federal control over taking away from the states,
but also a palenteer the pllenteer thing, which nobody's talking
about is frightening. This this essential data firm that's going
to come in that was partially funded by Peter Thiel
(01:21:52):
and the other partial funder of this early on especially
was the CIA's venture capital wing to collect data like
we could not believe. We think, here's the thing. We think, well,
you know, you know Amazon collects data and meta, Yeah,
they do. The difference is they're doing their own thing.
(01:22:13):
We've opted into this. This is doing all of that
and then some from your bank account to your health
records et cetera. That's why this is scary. It makes
the Patriot Act look like a joke, and nobody's talking
about it. And then the other thing that I was
(01:22:33):
more than frustrated with is the provision inside of this
that takes away the mechanism for the courts to uphold
any judgment against the administration. So you can rule against
(01:22:54):
the administration, but there is no funding, arm, or mechanism
which they can hold you accountable for. And I've been
saying the worst case scenario at that point in time
is it's a strongly worded letter. That's all you're getting
is a strongly worded letter, which is not good. So
(01:23:15):
there's a lot of things in here I don't like.
Now the Senate will rewrite it and they'll put their
twist on it, and what it looks like. I don't
know when all is said and done, but if this
was the thing that passes or something similar to this,
it's going to add debt. And there's some serious privacy issues.
Talk about you know, the Bromance being dead, talk about
(01:23:37):
the insanity of which Pallunteer and the government are going
to be able to collect data and start building something
in a way that we can't even fathom at this
point in time, and I want checks and balances. Do
I get frustrated at the lower court rulings, Yes, but
those are part of the steps to get to this
(01:24:00):
Supreme Court. And from there, well, you've got the Supreme
Court in theory on your side. So what happens, more
often than not they're going to rule in your favorite
But also, many of these things wouldn't be an issue
if your Congress would do something. And I say yours,
(01:24:23):
because you have the House and the Senate, mister President,
and this is where pressure on them needs to be
applied to get a lot of this stuff done. So
there's a lot in this that I'm not thrilled by.
And there's good stuff in there, you know, the money
for the wall, the money for immigration coming out. There
(01:24:46):
is good stuff in there as well. But you have
to say, out of all of these things, does the
good outweigh the bad. Let me know what you think.

It is faster than you. That's it. It's all you
need to know. What's the old joke? If the grizzly
bear is coming and you and a friend are there
(01:29:47):
and you're putting on your tennis shoes and your friend
says they're coming, what are you doing? You say, Look,
I don't need to be faster than the grizzly bear.
I just need to be faster than you just know
that the Grizzly Bear is faster than you.
Speaker 40 (01:29:57):
Meanwhile, Wall Street closely watching all of it. Tesla stock
plunging fourteen percent, Musk losing thirty four billion dollars yesterday,
the second largest personal loss ever recorded in the Bloomberg
Billionaires Index. Late last night, Musk appeared to soften his tone,
agreeing with a post that he and Trump should make
peace for the benefit of the country. But some Trump
(01:30:18):
allies on the attack, Steve Bannon demanding an investigation into
Musk's citizenship.
Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
And by the way, if they want to, there are
some questions about some of that stuff that comes with
his citizenship and did he come here illegally, et cetera,
et cetera. Bannon and Elon never really got along, and
that's been well documented. So this is going to be
(01:30:44):
This was always going to happen. It doesn't mean they
can't make up at some point in time. But the
reality is, I feel like once you put the Epstein
stuff out there, you kind of went nuclear. And so
we'll see. If you missing the show, Shay Money, read
the podcast. It is the chat that'son shown.
Speaker 7 (01:31:01):
Chad Benson, Joe.
Speaker 8 (01:31:22):
The Chad Benson show immigration always a win for the Republicans.
Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
It is Democrats. One of the reasons you're not in power.
One of the reasons we're talking about the fight between
the big beautiful Bill and Trump and Elon and all
that stuff is because you guys suck at things like immigration.
You lied to America. Open borders was for the whole
world to see open borders. What's going on? And now
that the enforcement mechanism ICE is out there, you say
(01:31:56):
crazy stuff. The other day they went after several people,
went after ICE agents because they're wearing masks, and you know, Lions.
The second in charge over there under a home and
had to come out and say stop with that. That's ridiculous.
They're doing this for a reason. And then you get
(01:32:16):
the mayor of Boston coming out and echoing something similar.
Speaker 23 (01:32:22):
I don't know of any police department that routinely wears masks.
We know that there are other groups that routinely wear masks.
N SC one thirty one routinely wears masks, and they
are just a clarifier. You're comparing ICE, you said to
NSC one thirty one, the neo Dazi group.
Speaker 1 (01:32:41):
Are you comparing them to a neo Nazi group.
Speaker 23 (01:32:43):
What I said is that Boston police and no police
department that I know of at the local level routinely
wears masks.
Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
You are comparing just like yesterday when we were talking
and today throughout the day when we were talking about
Elon sending out that tax too, I'm gonna drop a
bomb about Trump and Epstein. Well, you're intimating something. You're
(01:33:18):
implying something if you're saying, hey, the only people I
know that wear masks are is this group here, and
they're a neo Nazi group. And then you asked the questions,
so you're saying they're like neo Nazis. You know, no, no, no, no,
(01:33:39):
I just said our police don't wear masks. No, you
are saying neo Nazis wear masks. They're wearing masks. By
the way, many police forces, especially in certain situations, they
have their faces covered up because of retribution. This is
(01:33:59):
for docksing and things of that. Because you know, here
I am. We're out here in Nashville and we had
these ice raids over the last you know, two weeks,
and it became big story, and you know it was
they set up a fund, you know, like, hey, we
all love each other fund to help all the people,
(01:34:20):
because yeah, that's what you do. I mean all the while,
if somebody else gets pulled over and they're taken to
the custody, it's separated for their family. You're not setting
up a fund for that. But you know that's neither
here nor there. But on the page for this fund
to help people out, they put out the names and
whatnot of all of these ICE agents and you're thinking
(01:34:41):
to yourself, that's not helping anybody. Now, Freddie O'Connell is
the mayor, so no, we told them immediately to take
it down. But still there's a reason they wear a
mask in some of these situations. There's no doubt about that.
The Democrats, you have failed immigration on so many attempts
to think that you're getting it right. And the last
(01:35:02):
attempt was let everybody in the world come here, and
we'll blame it on all kinds of things like Congress
can't get anything done. So this is why this is
what it is. And no, that's not you failed, fail fail.
And then when they're enforcing. By the way, ICE didn't
go away when Biden was president. They were still out
(01:35:23):
doing stuff. The difference is it's being covered now and
it's being pushed in a much harder way. Now. We
can debate some of their methods, but everybody acts like well,
ice didn't exist until Trump came into office. They were
there when Trump was here, and then when he was
not here, they went away, and then they came back. Wrong.
But Democrats, you this is here's another perfect example of
(01:35:47):
the immigration debate gone wrong in a failure of Democrats.
This is a town hall the other day. This is
a congresswoman who is talking about immigration. And listen to
what she says about why we need them here.
Speaker 25 (01:36:05):
We have to come to a place in Congress where
it is.
Speaker 20 (01:36:10):
No longer a political issue, but we see it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
As an existential issue for the country.
Speaker 11 (01:36:18):
If we don't have.
Speaker 20 (01:36:21):
Out of it is for people to come here, needally
to work.
Speaker 24 (01:36:24):
We're to build our home here.
Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
I'm going to be any truth right now. We're not
gonna have anybody around the.
Speaker 40 (01:36:30):
Wipe our house because we don't.
Speaker 11 (01:36:31):
Have enough people.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
Listen to what she said, Well, if we don't allow
them to come here and work here when we get older,
who's going to wipe our butts? Think how you've basically said, Look,
the American dream of you coming here and building a
business and integrating into society, that's all that. That's fantasy.
(01:37:00):
But if you would like to come here and wait
on us hand and foot, and if I crap my
pants you clean it up, well you can do that.
Good God the hell is wrong with the Democrats. It
goes the thing we talked about the other day about
who's gonna pick our fruit? Who's going to pick our vegetables?
(01:37:20):
And I came at it from a Okay, look, you
shouldn't be here. It's illegal. We understand that. Do they
add to society? You know, you got one debate over here,
one debate. I think the the numbers bear out that
they've been a net positive. Still, we've got to follow
the law, and I think we should make it easier
(01:37:41):
for people to come here. That being said, the way
that they come at it, well, who's going to pick
our fruit? Who's gonna wipe our butts? Who's going to
do this menial labor? Now, if you're going to go
take day labors away from people who pick crops, farmers
are going to have issues. How are we going to
help the farmer out? In that sense, we need to
(01:38:04):
make it easier for people to come here. I agree
in all of those things. But if we're going to
go hamstring certain industries who can't get other people to
work for them, are we going to help them or
tell them sorry, your sol good luck to you. I
(01:38:29):
think that's a fair question. If you're going to take
away all of the staff. Okay, now I've got to hire,
but I can't find anybody who wants to work here
for what I can afford to pay to keep the
lights on us profitable and everybody employed. Ooh, that's a
tough one, no doubt about that. Three two, three, five,
(01:38:49):
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
That's your ex your insta, all of the other things. Meanwhile, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, shots, jobs, jobs, jobs,
job jobs, jobs, jobs jobs. Are we slowing down? Are
we speeding up? What's their jobs report?
Speaker 39 (01:39:05):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
That is a good question. Now. We talked to our
buddy Zach a Ramchie, investment officer Bore Capital last hour
about where he thinks the potential for where we're headed
this year is. And again, we still have to see
how these tariff things play out because we have no
idea what it looks like. But you look at the
Job report, and he pointed stuff out inside of the
(01:39:28):
jobs report, and some of the stuff that is happening.
Now we've got the May report, and in the report
it was one hundred and thirty nine thousand jobs better,
but not where we need to be.
Speaker 6 (01:39:41):
That's stronger than Wall Street economists were anticipating for me,
but it will drag down the three month average of
one hundred and fifty five thousand new jobs per month.
The unemployment rate was unchanged at four point two percent,
with increased hiring in the healthcare and hospitality sectors, according
to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
And it is still about the economy. Stupid. For all
the fighting of Trump, for all the fighting of Elon,
for all of the stuff that is going on that
is high school, that is very much social media. Ask
the reality of everything sets in when you go, oh wait,
(01:40:23):
it's still about jobs. It's still about the economy. And
right now, you know, I look at the economy and
I think to myself self, is it good? Some areas
I think it is? Is it bad? In some areas
(01:40:44):
I think it's it's It's got some you know, it's
not on life support, but they're definitely not feeling one
hundred percent, and we've got to start looking and thinking, Okay,
what is what is the next sixty to ninety days
look like? When it comes to tears When it comes
to getting this big, beautiful bill across, great, we're gonna
(01:41:05):
get tax breaks and whatnot. But you know, we've we've
debated that at nauseam at times. But does that give
people cause to go, Okay, well they got something done now.
So there's so much that's going to play into this.
I still think, and this is just me, that we're
going to have a little issue the second half of
(01:41:25):
this year. I don't think it's going to be a
massive issue. I don't think it's going to be two
thousand and eight. But could I see a slowing Yes,
I absolutely could see a slowing So it's it's gonna
be an interesting time, no doubt about that. Take Away again,
the social media cat fight between Trump and Musk and stuff.
(01:41:51):
Take that away. Look at it from the it's about
the economy, stupid. How do you feel about your job?
How do you feel about the economy going? How do
you feel about your money? Do you think that your
money is going to go further? We're gonna see inflation
come down. Do you think you're gonna be able to
spend more because you're gonna be making more. Do you
feel good enough to spend or you're gonna start pulling back?
(01:42:14):
These things are what people are paying attention to in
real life. The other stuff, as we've talked about throughout
the day, is more of a he said, he said
fight that has some merits and it's real, but we're
still thinking about today Bill's life, et cetera. Three, two, three, five, three, eight,
(01:42:37):
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show is
your ex, your Insta and all of the other things

I do so many radio shows. Yesterday was a perfect example,
so we wanted to go live last night. But if
you guys know, I do all my shows well, when
all the news broke yesterday, I'm ending up doing you know,
shows for the West coast as or done shows for
the East coast, and so it's one of those things
where it's time constraints at kids. There's only so many

Show, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, We have had
a week that started out a little slow, let's be
honest with ourselves. But then yesterday it started to get
a little warm. Then the bit of the worm got spicy.
Then a bit of the spicy got even spicier than
(01:45:13):
it was hot that it was in in Fuego, than
it was lava. Would you like to hear all the
stuff that happened this week as a reminder, because of
all the stuff that's happened the last twenty four hours
or so let's do it.
Speaker 25 (01:45:25):
Your boy David here about to eat this little stone

We're basically doing scientific experiments on how to make the
most destructive explosive.
Speaker 12 (01:45:41):
Not one hundred dollars walking in my metal hole.
Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
I know how, I'll say.

Again, it's done by.
Speaker 27 (01:46:10):
The US Attorney in Michigan is calling this the gravest
national security concern.
Speaker 2 (01:46:15):
Republicans still hold.
Speaker 15 (01:46:16):
An eight point lead on the economy, Are you kidding me?
Speaker 16 (01:46:19):
The President and the Trump administration have been very clear
if you are in the country illegally, you are subject
to deportation.
Speaker 12 (01:46:27):
It's fun.
Speaker 13 (01:46:31):
I'm done, my motorman.
Speaker 11 (01:46:33):
Wow, it's done by.
Speaker 9 (01:46:44):

Speaker 11 (01:47:17):
Running out of control.
Speaker 2 (01:47:23):
Forget.
Speaker 14 (01:47:29):
It looks like this months long political alliance, this friendship
at times between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, is over,
if not framed.
Speaker 18 (01:47:39):
I'm very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of
this bill.
Speaker 17 (01:47:43):
Even Elon Musk, who's been part of the whole process
and as Trump's buddy, says the bill is bad. You
can imagine how bad this bill is.
Speaker 18 (01:47:51):
Cleland's upset because we took the ev mandate and you know,
which was a lot of money for electric vehicles.
Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
I've always liked Elon, he said, quote whatever man started
out slow and then got in fuego to lava. No
doubt about that. Little Finally Friday sounds for you right there.
It's been a week, man, Ain't no doubt about that.
Some of that stuff you listen to, you like, man,
that was a week. That's just that was this week.

The whole influencer Bible thing AI was incredible And if
you haven't seen that, you got to go check that out.

twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show? Is
your ex your insta? On The Chad Benson Show, solid
(01:49:03):
fun week of shows. Who knows what it's gonna look
like come Monday. We heard earlier Jonathan Carl said he
called the President today and said, we hear the White
House is trying to set up a meeting with you two,
Elon and you and Trump says that I don't think
I'm interested in talking to him, which is understandable because
(01:49:24):
you did drop a bomb on him, Elon. And that
being said, not too many people are really ready to
forgive that quick when it comes to you might be
this bad of a guy hanging out with Epstein. You guys,
have a blessed rest of your day and weekend. We'll
do again on Monday. Always maybe not not Jack.
Speaker 1 (01:49:45):
This is the Chad Benson Show.
