Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show. They're gonna meet. That's right, Finally
they're meeting the Pooter, the Trumpster Zelensky.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Not just yet.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
They're gonna sit down, they're gonna break bread. They're gonna
meet in Alaska. Pooter probably wants that back.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
That deal.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
That deal you guys made was not a good land deal.
You had no idea what was coming of it, no idea.
But they're finally gonna meet.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Donald Trump really did want that trilateral meeting. He didn't
get it. He said, Okay, it's sort of like musical
chairs of foreign policy who he speaks to last berating
Zolensky in the White House in February, and then Zolensky
thinking what in the world am I gonna do with
this relationship? And then he switches and then it's putin
who's the bad guy? So he kind of keeps these

(01:00):
people guessing, and that is his foreign policy strategy in
many ways.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
So it's fly by the seat of your pants somewhat. Yeah,
that whole thing with Zelenski. Looking back on it, I
thought it was a first of all surreal a little
bit bs, but whatever, we moved on because the Pooter's
now pissed Trump off, and there's a chance at some
hardcore sanctions are going to be rolling in.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
The Pooter looks.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Now as if maybe there's an opportunity for us to
give him the off ramp, and he looks like he
may want to take it. And this is Trump's thing.
He thinks, if I'm in front of you, I can
sell you on anything. Right, He's the ultimate sales dude.
If I'm in front of you, if it's you and I,

(01:46):
I can sell you on whatever it is that needs
to be sold.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
That's the way he likes doing stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
President Trump has wanted to meet with Vladimir Putin for
a long time. He likes that one on one. Of course,
twenty nineteen and twenty eighteen, he met with Kim Jong un,
North Korea's leader. A lot of pomp and circumstance, lots
of attention, I can meet with these world leaders. That
meeting came to absolutely nothing. But Donald Trump did walk

(02:13):
out of that meeting, and he really really wanted something
from that meeting, some sort of nuclear deal. He got
absolutely nothing, but he did at that point say I
am out of here.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, And I.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Think that's what I think Trump's gonna come, he's gonna talk,
and he's gonna do his best to sell him like
Blad gotta do it. It's gonna be one of the things.
You gotta do this that will Blad lad Lad you know,
do his usual spiel that he does.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You're gonna love it. It's gonna be great. We're gonna
give you some of this land that you took.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Right it's not the former Soviet Union, but alas here
you are. And otherwise I'm gonna make your life hell.
I'm gonna make it hell. It's gonna be a nightmare.
It is.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
The Europeans little nervous understandable it.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Is going to be Trump and putin for sure. Ukraine's
President Zelenski is remaining on the sidelines right now, and
that's got European leaders very concerned that some sort of
peace steal is going to be negotiated and hashed out
without Europeans or Zelenski at the table. So the Europeans
want to make sure that their voices are heard. Vice
President jd Vance had this hastily scheduled meeting with some

(03:18):
European and Ukrainian officials. They want to make sure that
they have a say and how all of this goes down.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
You may want to say, but you're not going to
have to say you think you're going to have because
he doesn't. He's not scared of you. Pooter's not scared
of you. He's not scared at all of you. And
for a guy like the Poot, he respects power and
he looks over and he thanks you guys for nothing.
I'm not afraid of you guys. Now, Poland, he may
be afraid because I think Poland kick is asked, and

(03:46):
I think they're itching for a fight. I'm just saying.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Senator Blumenthal, who's a Democrat from Connecticut, along with Senator
Lindsay Graham, just weeks ago, had both told me that
they believe President Trump was on the cusp of signing
off on this tough sanctions bill. But now, of course
there's this summit, and Blumenthal told me that Putin is
playing Trump with this ploy of a summit, which he

(04:10):
tells me he believes benefits Putin while undercutting US credibility.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I think if Trump leaves there and there's no path
to getting something done, there's no path to any of that.
I think he's going to hit the sanctions even harder
because I think, is you waste my time.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
You wasted my time. I don't want any part of this.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I think, you know, Putin is looking around because people
are exhausted. I think they're frustrated as hell, and they've
not really felt the sanctions the way that they could.
And he recognizes, Okay, we've been in this for you know,
going on quite a while now, and I can't convince
my people to They've tightened their belt somewhat, but nothing

(04:58):
like what potentially could become. And the fact that we've
already lost so many men, Yeah, that's going to be
a tough thing to sell to my people. So we'll see,
we'll see. There's no doubt it's going to be very interesting. Meanwhile,
in America, I don't know if you guys are ware
of this. Democrats still not playing ball when it comes

(05:18):
to redistricting.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
I e.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Getting back for the special session in Texas and they're
still missing.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
You know, this Texas size fight over redistricting. It's reaching
a fever pitch and you just laid all the reasons
why and over the weekend, Governor Greg Abbott in Texas here.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I'm doubling and tripling down on his words.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
While the special session technically ends one week from today,
August eighteenth, Governor Abbot made it clear he's willing to
call as many special sessions as it takes for absent
Democrats to return to Texas.

Speaker 7 (05:49):
And as soon as this one is over, I'm going
to call it another one, then another one, then another one,
then another one. If they show back up in the
set of Texas, they will be arrested and taken to
the Capitol and.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Summarily x no not ssmarily executed. So but he said, hey,
we're gonna do this. We're gonna do it. We're gonna
do it again.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
We can do it again until we get this thing done.
It's gonna happen, all right.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
So here's the problem. Many Texas Democrats don't seem to care.
Unfazed by the fines, the threat of being arrested like
you just heard there, or lawsuits, even the violent threads
some of the teams or some of them rather have faced.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
What we're fighting for is democracy.

Speaker 8 (06:26):
Who would think it's okay to hunt us down like animals.

Speaker 9 (06:34):
Rather than to allow us to follow the rules.

Speaker 10 (06:37):
And we are here to give hope to others to
stand up and be courageous in this moment.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
So this week's long chest match it continues.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
Both blue and red states also kind of waiting to
see what happens here in Texas.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I mean the ripple effect.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
When you stop and think about them, it could be
it could be massive ahead of the midterms next year.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I told you guys, this was going to be a
massive story. I told you guys, this is going to
be a big deal. And now, well, if you're going
to do it, we're gonna do it. Scenario is coming up,
and I want to remind everybody why originally the special
session was going to take place. The special session was

(07:20):
there to do what anyone that's right.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
It was there.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
For the victims of the flood, and they were going
to talk about weed because we all know uber conservative
state it's.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Terrified of Weed's Darry White drug chaed And I do
believe this comments one hundred percent true.

Speaker 11 (07:41):
Governor Greg Abbott has executive power to help them today.
We should not let the sun set before he takes
action to help the victims of the Texas Hill Country.
He is using them for political pawns.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I think that's spot on, spot on they added this late.
Now that they've added it, like we said, why this
story is gonna be so big because other states are going, well, can't,
we can't.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Let's just do the same thing they're doing.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
Four Republican led states, including Ohio, are considering redrawing its
match because the current one in place since twenty twenty
two was passed without bipartisan support. Meantime, the Trump administration
reportedly leaning on Florida, Indiana, Missouri to redistrict ahead of
the midterms next year. On democratic side of things, I
mentioned California. California Governor Gavin Newsom says he's pushing forward

(08:30):
with a special election this fall that would let voters
choose if they want to redraw the state's congressional map,
while the governors of Illinois and New York have said
they will look into redistricting if Texas pushes forward as well.
Market It's worth noting that other these states I just
mentioned Prince of University's redistricting report card, we are talking
about back to school here soon. Missouri, Indiana, New Jersey,

(08:53):
New York their maps got a's, but Illinois.

Speaker 12 (08:57):
Florida, Texas.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Of those states their maps they got failing grades and
then worth mentioning here too. Ohio got a D for
its congressional maps, so none of which you're doing.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Too great, No, and California also got an F. All
of them do.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
So this has caused now a reaction, and we said
it was going to and what should we all be
doing making our voices heard that this is not what
we're about, This is not what we're interested in.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
We're interested in you doing your job.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
And then if you do your job to the utmost
of your ability and you work for the people, then
you get re elected.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Not Hey, you know what, guys, I got a great idea.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Let's just rebuild the lines and we'll add some more seats.
Therefore we get more seats in the House and the
opportunity to gain control of it, which should pay, says
all off. And they both do it. And if you
don't think they both do it, you heard what Princeton

(10:07):
said about giving aid to fs as far as districts go.
And a vast majority of states are d's, with a
lot of states f's, including the worst state, Illinois. And
the governor was on this weekend meet the press, and
he was kind of put to the fire by Kristen Welker,

(10:30):
who wanted to point out here, hey, you know what,
not unprecedented the way that you might think. And oh,
by the way, you come from a state that is
absolutely insane when it comes to districting the governor.

Speaker 13 (10:42):
It might be illegal, it's not unprecedented though, or it
might be rare, I should say. But Texas actually tried
to redraw districts mid decade before in two thousand and three,
and the US Supreme Court actually upheld the map in
that case with the exception of one district. So the
argument that Abbot is making is a it's not illegal,
though they are doing it certainly in an off year.

(11:04):
But I do want to look at the map of Illinois.
Let's take a look at this. Despite President Trump winning
forty four percent of the statewide vote in twenty twenty four,
Republicans hold only three of illinois seventeen districts. These districts
seem to be designed to maximize democratic advantage.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
What well, it's different because we're nice and if you
saw the map, it is the tentacles, if you will,
where it just shoots out across the state, just a
small slipper like a street, just crazy Welcome to the
world of modern politics.

Speaker 12 (11:35):
Kids.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's awful three two, three, five, three eight.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson's shows your
extra insta go a lot more of this to get
to more of Russia, a bunch of other stuff. This
day in history history made this week in a Major
League baseball had nothing to do with the players. And yeah,
we're gonna talk about Israel as well. But first, the
NFL is back. Baby football is back. Millions of people

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Run your game, Chad Benson.

Speaker 9 (12:58):
Show, Chad Benson.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
When it comes to job's that's jobs for you not
good or at spelling like me.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
There are areas, but things are okay.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
But when it comes to things that many people thought, Matt,
if you're a tech dude, you've got nothing to worry about, Chad,
you said tech dude or a tech person, all right,
if you're a tech person should be totally fine.

Speaker 14 (13:33):
Overall, the job market is has been in pretty good
shape and job postings. Our Job Postings Index shows that
there are more job postings out there now than there
were pre pandemic. However, that is not true in the
tech space, so tech job postings are down thirty six
percent below where they were in twenty twenty.

Speaker 9 (13:50):
So that's a real impact.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Absolutely it is, and it's about coding. Coding now you
don't need it. That's how fast AI has grown in
the world of coding. You can go code something today
through AI. It is insane how quick you can get
it done.

Speaker 14 (14:07):
Some of the job titles that have declined the most
involved kind of like basic coding.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
So have the word developer in the title coding developer.
See where we're going with this.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Understand how fast this has changed.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Now, if you've got AI anywhere on your resume, your
living life large, even if you go to LinkedIn and
you put your resume up, don't put the them, but
you know, pronounce whatever it is. But even if you
have AI, just put AI in there. Understand AI, working
with AI, Understand how to integrate AI into businesses, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
You watch what happens.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
First of all, I think it's a conspiracy because I
think AI is looking for people that puff up AI.
Oh I'm AI and you like AI. Well that's cool,
What a coincidence. No, But honestly it out it's the truth.
Understanding AI and learning how to use it is going
to benefit you in ways going forward.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
That you can't even imagine.

Speaker 14 (15:11):
There are some jobs, especially those related to AI, that
that are on the move and are increasing.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
So there are opportunities out there, big time, big, big,
big time. But you have it's not hard to understand AI.
The thing with AI is originally when it was created,
at first people thought it was fun. It was a
neat tool. You could ask you a questions, you play
around with it. Integrating it into business has been a
little bit tougher than I think even some AI people

(15:39):
would like to admit.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Three two, three, five.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your ex your instant right here on the Chad
Benson Show. Not just yes that you know certain things
the tech business and and and certain things when it
comes to creativity, but the everyday business. If you learn
how to use it, it's huge. And being a prompt
engineer to somebody who understands how to prompt it to

(16:04):
do the right things, that's the place that you need
to be right now. It is interesting to watch people
when it comes to AI. I know it's a tough thing,
but you have to learn. If you're older and you're
almost retired, that's one thing still learn it. I think
it's gonna be a great help for you. But if
you're younger, and by that I mean you're still in
the workforce and you've got a ways to go, you

(16:25):
must learn it. Oh my lord, speaking of learning, bullwork's
gonna help you learn what's going on in your account board.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Capital is amazing.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
They want to talk to you about getting a second
opinion on your investments, your four oh one K, your IRA,
your retirement, you get one shot of retirement, make it
work for you.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
No, this is what they're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
They're gonna go through see if there's any you know,
They're gonna try to uncover any hidden risk, uncover any
hidden cost. Sure you what they're all about, lower risk,
lower cost, lower volatility, and give you the most upside potential,
which is a smart thing to do. Being as they're
active managers, meaning they're looking always on a daily basis.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
They set a goal for what they.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Want to do when they're trading, when they're doing stuff,
and the goal is to get you to there and
have a plan rather than just we're going to leave
it in forever.

Chad Benson, Joe Son, Chad Benson, Joe.

Speaker 9 (18:00):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I encourage everybody always to reach out to me at
Chad Benson Show on the x an Insta as well
as text or voicemail The Show three two three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three. And the reason is simple.
I want to hear what you have to say. And
I like the fact that some people don't put a
lot of curses in there. Sometimes people do. I can
beat some of them. Sometimes it's ridiculous. We're going to

(18:25):
talk a lot about Israel, and the reason is call
it a genocide, call it atrocity, call it whatever you want.
What is taking place currently in the Middle East, Ie
Gaza is an atrocity, genocide, whatever you want to call it.
The systematic starving of millions of people that they have

(18:46):
been doing for a while, and now the expansion of
the war into Gaza to occupy is.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Absolutely insane.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
And by the way, we could sit here and play
this game about well they need to do this, they
need do that.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Is this one caller puts it.

Speaker 16 (19:06):
Right here, Hey, chat, not a genocide or me is
a genocide? The Nazis killing the Jews a genocide. But
this is not a genocide. This is a bunch of
ruthless terrorists who hide behind women and children, build their
shelters under hospitals, and kill their own people. And Israel's

(19:32):
just trying to make him their area of staatee. I'd
much rather have Israel running Gazza if I were a
Gozlan that i'maf it'll never get better if Hamas is
running it, and it'll never.

Speaker 17 (19:48):
Be the hope for those four people.

Speaker 16 (19:50):
But Israel had a chance to straighten it out, turning
it over to some decent people.

Speaker 17 (19:55):
It's all wars horrible.

Speaker 16 (19:58):
This one's not pretty, but it could be a pack
of a lot worse sight.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
It could be a heck of a lot worse if
they were to do what they want to do Israel
saying the quiet part out loud.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
They are now, okay, I see what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
So giving them food is not about keeping them alive,
it's about using food as essentially bait.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
And I mean what they are doing is awful.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
You see that people in the streets, not of Palestine
and Gaza, but of Israel. They're over this. They don't
want this, They're over all of this crap. The families
of the hostages feel like they're being used. The people

(20:50):
that are fighting with the idef, the ideaf itself. But
these are kind of like reservists who've gotten very little training,
who have called up in what they're getting ready to do,
who are exhausted and frustrated with what is happening. Guess
what's coming next? Occupation And we know from our buddy

(21:15):
Mike Lions when he talks about occupation, it's a whole
new level of commitment and fighting because everybody and everything
on the other side of that wall, green zone, green line,
whatever they call it, is what it's potentially a threat.

(21:38):
That's the way you have to look at it. Occupying
a nation is far more costly. See everything we've ever done, and.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Do you ever get the results you want? No, No,
you don't. What they're doing.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Is bs. I don't care. You know, Mike Cout could
be talking about it. Will I don't see it. Shut up,
you don't see it. They took us to a place.
They took you to a staged place to see this.
Let me tell you some of the text messages I
get or emails. One, I'm anti Semitic, I get that
every day all the time. And two, these people are

(22:18):
getting everything they deserve. I just got one the while ago.
These people are cockroaches. They're getting what they should get.
No wrong, they're human beings stuck in a horrible situation
of which the nation next door we think of Israel,
and we've all been guilty it, myself included as this
ultruistic giving just want to protect themselves. No, they're the

(22:41):
bully on the block, and it's easy when behind you
you've got us. There's no doubt in any given time,
they could take out every nation pretty much around them
whenever they want. They want that land, they do.

Speaker 18 (22:54):
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Nataannell, who are facing mounting international
pressure and growing criticism amid the dire situation in Gaza.
Every day more people are dying from malnutrition, according to
the Hamas run Gaza Health Ministry. In a statement, the
director of Save the Children of the Middle East to
North Africa and Eastern Europe said, in part, what kind
of world have we built to let at least one

(23:15):
hundred children be starved to death while the food, water,
and medical supplies to save them wait just miles away
at a border crossing.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
It's horrible and I don't believe anything Hamas has to say.
I think they're lying. Pos's I do, and they do
use people, and they have in the past. What's left
now is a hodgepodge of people who don't wear a uniform,
who are terrified and angry and pissed and are going

(23:43):
to fight for what they think is the coming of
the demise of not just Hamas but Palestine in general.
Before this, if you've done any research, you know, well,
hold on a second. I went over there and I
was checking out all the research, and it says that
that Israel controlled everything where you could go, what you
could do, whether or not you could even grow food,

(24:05):
whether or not you could even fish. How much electricity
you got for how long? Same thing with the internet,
we can go on and on water, same thing. This
is if this was us any other situation. We were
looking at this, and this was Israel being pushed back

(24:27):
by Gaza Palestine, what will we do? We're like, this
can't happen, we can't allow this to happen. So yeah,
I find what's going on absolutely awful, shameful that we're
involved in any way, shape or form. And this has
nothing to do with you hate Israel and wrong answer,

(24:51):
stop being idiotic. You hear that from Fox News people
the many you questioned anything I saw last week, Charlie
Kirk and Meghan Kelly going you can't even question what's
happening over there without them going, well, you're anti Semitic,
we don't like you anymore, apac all these groups that
come and attack you.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I get it every day. Well, I'm going to continue
to say this.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
I am first and foremost to Christian and a husband
and a father, and I look out there and I
see things and I say to myself, that isn't right.
And I don't want my tax dollars going to that.
I don't want my tax dollars paying for atrocities, genocide,

(25:34):
anything that you want to say it is.

Speaker 2 (25:37):

got a lot of people too that say, you know,
I keep preaching, keep saying that this is not about Israel.
This is about us and what we are doing and
what we're allowing, and what we're paying for and most

(26:05):
importantly bebing at Yahoo and the Hood Party and what
they really want. That's what this is about. That is
what this is one hundred percent about. If you can't
criticize a nation that's supposed to be your buddy and
your ally, of which we fund everything for the most part,

(26:26):
go look at how much we give Israel. Go look
at how much we fund them with, Go look at
what we do for them. If you can't criticize them,
and it has to be Israel first, then what the
hell are we doing America? Three two, three, five, eight,

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Basketball's been very good to a lot of people, but
this weekend something happened in baseball that seemed long overdue.
Of all the sports that people can ref I think
baseball would be one of the easier ones.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
You know, the NBA, it's very fast, the NHL.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
I don't think there's any women refs in the NHL,
although they do fight, not the refs but the guys.
That could be a different thing. The NFL. We know
there are women umpires and whatnot. But this weekend started
Friday night, Jen Powell became the first female to ump
a game, and then yesterday she was behind the plate.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
Some more history today. Joey Witz is ready. We hope
you're ready, and here we go. Joey Witz likes that
first call for Jim Powell. He'll take it, and I
wonder if they're going to take the baseball I guess not.
I thought that maybe that would be a kind of
a bit one there we go.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Now, we got it, figured it out.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
Yep, they are going to authenticate it, and Jim Powell
will forever get to keep that ball.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Yep, she got to keep the ball. She umped the
game yesterday. Afterwards, I would say pretty excited.

Speaker 20 (29:23):
The dream actually came true today and I'm still living
in it. And I'm just so grateful to my family,
to Major League Baseball for just creating such an amazing
work environment. On the umpires that I work with. We
have just an amazing camaraderie and we're having fun out there.

(29:45):
We're working hard, but we're having fun, and I'm just
so thankful.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Normally umpires do zero press whatsoever. This is the crew
chief of that crew, Guccioni, I think his name is
Chris Guccioni.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Talking about the moment.

Speaker 21 (29:58):
This is one of the proper moments I've been part
of in all my career. I mean, I've worked, I've
been blessed with working playoffs. I've worked two World Series
All Star games, and this one is right up there
with it. And you know, my family coming out and
watching and all that, but this is this is up there,
like it gives me chills, just like even thinking.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
About it in the magnitude. I was just sitting here
going like.

Speaker 21 (30:22):
It just kind of kind of just hit me just now,
like the magnitude of this whole thing, and how hard
she's worked. She does an incredible job. She's an incredible
person and likes to have fun, works hard.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
So this is huge. So Jen Powell becoming the first
female to umpire a Major League baseball game and probably
the last, because Ai.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Is going to take it over. Not very nice, jed,
not very no. I'm just I'm they're all going to
be gone. Why have one? We got it?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
We got Ai can handle everything. Oh jeez, No, that
was historic. Speaking of history at that time of the day,
we do a little history for ourselves. We look back
on this day, today's August eleventh, and the year Lord
twenty twenty five. What took place on said day, August eleventh?
Throughout time, It's time for what's a kind in time,

(31:13):
a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Now it's time for this day in history.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
We look back on this set to find out what
famous things took place.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
All right, this day in history.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
A lot of stuff happened on this day, some of
it really interesting, others kind of sad.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
On this day in.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
History, we go back to the way back yonder and
guess what kids thirty one, fourteen PCE. The ancient Mayans
marked the mythical creation dates of their calendar. Fast forward
to eighteen seventy four. Harry Parmally patted the sprinkler head,
which changed safety Forever when it comes to fire nineteen

(31:58):
twenty nine, the stay in history almost one hundred years ago.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Bab Ruth Ken the first player. He had five hundred
home runs.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
In nineteen thirty four, Alcatraz accepted its first inmate.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Welcome to the Rock.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
On the day in history nineteen sixty five, the Watts Riots.

Speaker 22 (32:23):
It was the most widespread, most destructive racial violence in
American history. White people driving through the riot area were
considered fair game, whether young or old, men or women.
Where cars were battered, the drivers stoned, kicked and beaten,
and the.

Speaker 23 (32:42):
Cars were burned.

Speaker 22 (32:43):
The mobs might groan and curse in disappointment when a
white got away, and then cheer like a football crowd
when a car went up.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
And played yeah on the state in history of the
Wats Riots took place started neighborhood. If you don't know
where Wats is, traffic, stop young black men by white
highway patrol officers escalated to a fight, tensions over police brutality,
racial discrimination, poor living conditions.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
It all boiled over forty million.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Dollars in damage, but it took six days for it
to eventually calm down. Riots, looting, a arson, thirty four dead,
thousand injured. That happened on this day in history. Top
of that, on this day in history, our last soldiers
got out of Vietnam.

Speaker 17 (33:31):
I'll never forget made Keene Sand. Gentlemen, you know we
all joined the Marine Corps. We're all going to die
like marines. This could be our Alamo. And we all
just looked at one another.

Speaker 15 (33:41):
Little boy.

Speaker 12 (33:43):
It was absolute chaos.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
All your regulations went out the door that day.

Speaker 12 (33:47):
There was tremendous confusion and.

Speaker 24 (33:50):
With lack a tsunami of people, people lores and cause
all chasing one American evacuation come by off to the other.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Yeah, craziness. You saw it take place. Many who are
old enough watched everything. They actually left the Marines there
because they got the ambassadorroute and I think they said
the Eagle is gone, and they had no idea that
there was a whole bunch of Marines still left up
on top of the roof, so they had to go

(34:24):
back and get them. Also, on this day in history,
eleven years ago, world got tragic and horrible news.

Speaker 25 (34:34):
Is CNN breaking news, so I hate to have to
report this. The breaking news just in the CNN is
that actor Robin Williams is dead at the age of
sixty three from an apparent suicide. This is from Williams
representative released a statement just a moment ago saying, quote,
Robin Williams passed away this morning. He had been battling

(34:57):
severe depression of late. This is a magic and sudden loss.
The family respectful and respectfully asks for their privacy and
they grieve during this very difficult time.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Yeah, committed suicide, as we come to find out, battling
depression for years. Made his debut in nineteen seventy eight
on TV Anyone, anyone that's.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Right playing Mork from Ork on Happy Days?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Just wall Len't you guys know that Mork from work
on Happy Days three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show is your

Speaker 2 (35:34):
When you grabbed the podcast Radio and the Chad.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Benson Show, Oh man that first hour follow by means
our number two it's gonna fly as well.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
A lot of stuff still to get to.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
More on the meeting, the Big meeting, the Pooter Trump,
will he won't he show up or even be allowed
to come? Zelenski, What does that actually look like if
he does show up? Top of that would go more
what's going on in Israel as well. It's a gnarly
nasty weather out there. It is frightful, to say the

(36:08):
least across parts of the country. We talk a little
bit about that as well, and we've got some crazy
stories in your Urban Word of the Today. All of
that's coming up in our number two. If you miss
any show, grab the podcast. This is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 26 (36:22):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Redistricting, what will happen?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
I don't know as far as how many states are
going to be able to get it across the line.
I do know Texas is going to do it because
that's what.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
They can do much easier than everywhere else. They're able
to do this.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
It's not illegal, and they're gonna do it. Okay, it's
gonna happen. It's not illegal, maybe unprecedented, but it's not illegal.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
They're able to do it.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
They're gonna get it done, and then other states are
gonna do it. Speaking of other states, JB. Pritzker was
on with Welker yesterday on Meet the Press and she
kind of gave him a once over about his state.
So Illinois, that's who he's the leader of, is the worst.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
For the most part.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
You could argue Massachusetts is the worst because they had
thirty eight percent of people voted for Trump, or forty
percent of people voted for Trump, and they have a
representation anywhere.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Can think about that? No representation.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
So almost half the state's votes for the guy that's
president and they have no representation anywhere. When it comes
to districting, Illinois has become the masters of it long term.

Speaker 13 (38:14):
Texas actually tried to redraw districts mid decade before in
two thousand and three, and the US Supreme Court actually
upheld the map in that case with the exception of
one district. So the argument that Abbott is making is
it's not illegal, though they are doing it certainly in
an off year. But I do want to look at
the map of Illinois. Let's take a look at this

(38:35):
despite President Trump winning forty four percent of the statewide
vote in twenty twenty four, Republicans hold only three of
illinois seventeen districts. These districts seem to be designed to
maximize democratic advantage. What do you say to those who
argue that it's hypocritical for you to criticize Texas for
partisanship when your state also drew moups to boost your

(38:58):
party's standing.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yeah, governor, what do you got to say to that?

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Because if you see the.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Way that it's drawn, it is hilarious because there is
the tentacles as we call them. They go across the state,
the very thin right, it looked like it looked like
it's a block, just one block, maybe even a street,
and he goes all the way across.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
I mean, it's just they all do it. Everybody does it.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
But it's funny coming from Illinois, which, as we know,
it's called the Windy City because of politics, not because
of the actual wind.

Speaker 27 (39:35):
Well, remember that what Texas is trying to do is
again violate the Voting Rights Act. We didn't We held
public hearings, legislative hearings, People attended them, they spoke out.
There was a map that was put out. There were
actually changes made to the map and a map was
passed and it was done at the end of the

(39:59):
census Neil census. So that's how it's done in this country.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
It's not illegal what they're doing.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
You holding hearings for people to come in and voice
their displeasure doesn't mean that you're going to listen to
anything they have to say.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
And you didn't.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
You didn't. And as far as whether or not Texas
is violating the Voter Rights Act, we will find out,
because as was all of these things, what does it
end up courts? And the courts, yes, my friends will
decide what ends up happening with these things. Do I
think that this is going to be the end of it,

(40:47):
whatever they come up with, No, I don't. I think
at some point in time the courts are going to
come in. And the real big thing is what's going
on in Louisiana. So you guys don't know this. And
the Voting Right Act is under pressure in Louisiana because
they've redrawn their districts. And then of course it went
to court, and then it went through the system, and

(41:07):
finally the Supreme Court said all right, we're going to
listen to it. The question that will probably be answered
for everybody is about whether or not you are writing,
i e. Designing these districts to silence minority voices. And

(41:29):
the Supreme Court will have the final say, and I
think that will go a long way in all of this,
because what they're already claiming in Texas is you're silencing
you know, black voters and Hispanic voters.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
And we'll find out. We will.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
We're going to have a because courts will design all
of this. The one thing that Texas has that many
of these other blue states which are already rushing to
try to figure it out, and now more red states
are trying to get involved, figure out if they get
square ease another.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
One or two out.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
The one thing that they have is it's not in
the constitution in Texas, so that means they're able to
go through with this without trying to do it. California
has to do, which is get it on the ballot
to decide if they want to do a mid decade redistricting,
and if they do, then they can go from there.
It's a much easier road for Texas to do. And

(42:22):
I think that they're going to get it done. But
I always preface everything when it comes to these kind
of things in politics. What gets done and what the
courts decide are two separate things three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show,
is your ex, your Insta, YouTube and Facebook love hearing

(42:43):
from all of you. Meanwhile, the Pooter, the Trumpster go
to be hanging out.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Donald Trump really did want that trilateral meeting.

Speaker 24 (42:50):
He didn't get it.

Speaker 3 (42:51):
He said, Okay, it's sort of like musical chairs of
foreign policy who he speaks to last be rating Zelenski
in the White House in February, and then Zolenski thinking
what in the world am I going to do with
this relationship? And then he switches and then it's putin
who's the bad guy? So he kind of keeps these
people guessing, and that is his foreign policy strategy in

(43:13):
many ways.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
That is and I don't know what this is going
to look like when that map's drawn up.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
What he gets to keep.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Because when we first started to bring Mike Lions on
to talk about this, it was a couple weeks before
the war. Then we brought him on all the time.
He'll be on again tomorrow, and periodically we've brought him
on talk about this, but from almost day one of

(43:42):
the actual invasion, he has said this is going to
be a brutal land war and it'll eventually be land
for peace. How much land and what is the peace
going to look like? Those are questions I think that
are very real to not only the Ukrainians, but to

(44:05):
the Europeans who are curious about what role they have
in this situation. Seeen As is in their backyard, their continent,
but Puter doesn't respect any of them. He'll talk to
a few of them, but he don't respect any of them.
He respects Trump to a certain extent. How much will

(44:26):
we'll find out? Because I think if Trump leaves there
and there's no clear path towards ending this, no clear
path towards the off ramp, then I think Trump is
going to come down hard on sanctions, even harder than
what he has rolled out to Ndia and several others.

(44:47):
Because the sanctions didn't really put a dent on Russia
the way that people were hoping it was going to.
They were able to have a war time economy which
kept them kind of motoring. Then on top of that,
they were able still to sell to enough countries that

(45:09):
would then sell on some of their products to get
around a lot of these sanctions. Now if you go
and hit those countries, well then it changes.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
And I think if.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Come Friday, the meeting happens, it doesn't go the way
that everybody thinks it's supposed to go, then I think
what you're going to see is Trump come back, little pissed,
little angry, and start to really hammer sanctions on anybody
who has dealings with the Pooter and Russia.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
We go from there to the Middle East.

Speaker 28 (45:44):
At an emergency UN meeting, the international community lined up
in or position. They say it will displace thousands of
Palestinians and risk the safety of the hostages still in captivity.
Only the US is standing by Israel's plan. This is
as the humanitarian crisis insight, cause it grows worse. Ama
says one hundred children have now starved to death since

(46:04):
the war began. For days eight has been deployed from
the air edge hops that humanitarian groups have worn to
unsafe and inefficient.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Yeah, they are unsafe, inefficient there systematically, I said last week,
call it ethnic cleansing, ethnic moving.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Whatever you want to call it. This is what they're doing.
They're starving them out.

Speaker 1 (46:26):
They're using food as a tool to destroy the people there,
to kill them, to have them live in fear. And
when I heard this is my favorite thing. This is
my favorite thing I always hear from people. Why is

(46:47):
it their responsibility to feed them?

Speaker 2 (46:50):
Well, you're, first of.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
All, now you're coming in as an occupying force, and
according to the Geneva can advention, you have no choice
but you must feed them. So that's number one. Number two,
be your job to feed them. But if your job
is to starve them, and you were doing that even
before all of this, well that's an issue. And if

(47:11):
the rest of the world wants to feed them and
you tell them no, we're not going to allow that in,
that is also an issue. So it's not your job. Fine,
if that's the way you're going to play it, unless,
of course, you go into occupy, which you are, and
you're not gonna let anybody else go in there, Well,
then what is that? Out of curiosity three two, three, five, three, eight,

(47:33):
twenty four twenty three at Chad Betsy shows your Extra
insta coming up, DC Crime. Trump's taking a new view
on the crime in DC after Big Balls got attacked.

I like the urban word of the day today. I
like them always. Sometimes I'm like, hmm okay, that feels
like a stretch you kids are trying to do. This
is one where you're going, all right, that's all you.
You guys own that one. Now you own the one.
We'll talk about that. Like I said, we're talking about

(49:18):
crime in DC because big Balls got attacked, and Trump's like,
that's enough of this.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
It's enough of the crime.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
We're gonna put it to an end right here. And
there's a bunch of other stuff we're gonna get to,
including something that is insane.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
If you go to chuck e cheese, adults, what the
hell are you doing? Chad Benson, Joe.

Speaker 9 (49:48):
Chad Benson, d C is dangerous.

Speaker 29 (49:52):
President Trump has adjusted in the past that the federal
government should take over the city and threaten to have
the FED step in after a former worker for Elon
Musk's Stowe group was assaulted during the tempted carjacking last week.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
We have a capital that's very unsafe. We're going to
do something about it.

Speaker 29 (50:08):
Over the weekend, more than one hundred federal agents were
deployed across d C in a massive anti carjacking operation.
Trump also suggesting trying young teenagers as young as fourteen
as adults.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
That's the nicest thing Trump has said in the last
couple of days about DC. DC has become something of
a nightmare. Even though crime is quote unquote down twenty
five percent, it's still a nightmare. There's still places you like,
don't go there. I talked to friends, are like, yeah,
this places I won't go. Why How did you allow
this to get this bad?

Speaker 9 (50:38):
Trump?

Speaker 1 (50:38):
What do you think of it?

Speaker 30 (50:39):
The capital of the United States of America, Washington.

Speaker 25 (50:42):
D C.

Speaker 30 (50:43):
We will clean it up, renovated, and rebuild our capital
cities so that it will be an absolute beacon of
beauty and peace and prosperity and no longer be the
crime capital virtually of the world.

Speaker 8 (50:58):
You know, being in real estate, I always kept clean properties.
I like clean, clean, well run. You know, tippy top,
we say tippy top. We want them to be tippy top. Well,
our capital is the opposite of tippy top. It's a
house horrible, It's horrible.

Speaker 12 (51:13):
We're going to get rid of the slums.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
We're going to clean out the slums.

Speaker 30 (51:16):
We're going to get rid of ten cities all over
the beautiful.

Speaker 8 (51:19):
Parks, beautiful columns built two hundred years ago and one
hundred years ago, gorgeous columns.

Speaker 30 (51:25):
You say, how did they ever build them? How did
they move them? They didn't have the equipment to move them.
They moved them through force of will. They had their
hands and they muscle and they got it done.

Speaker 12 (51:36):
And now I see.

Speaker 8 (51:36):
Graffiti on it. It's not going to happen. We're going
to take care of our capital. We're going to take
care of our cap.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
So up to one hundred and twenty agents from the
FBI's Washington Field Department. I bet they're stoked. Are going
to make traffic stops? Oh sounds awesome. Well, no, Chad,
they they may. This is according to them, They may
participate in those, among other things, the National Guard, the

(52:03):
whole nine yards. Once again, when you allow something to
get so horrific and so bad, this is the reaction
to that. This is the reaction when you allow something
to go completely to the point of insanity. Three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your ex,

(52:23):
your instant, all the other things right here on the
Chad Benson Show. And yes, we can sit here and say, well,
they say they're just places you won't go in DC.
We shouldn't have that anywhere in this country period. San Francisco,
DC doesn't matter. We shouldn't have places where you just
don't go out of fear of property damage, violent crime.

(52:46):
That's not who we are. From one issue in a
part of America to another. The weather outside is frightful.

Speaker 31 (52:52):
An emergency declared in Milwaukee County, up to a foot
of rainfalling, prompting dozens of rescues, first responders using ladders
to lead people to higher ground, strangers stepping in to
help drivers strand it in high water. In Nebraska, the
powerful storms turning deadly as winds up to ninety miles
per hour battered parts of the state. In Lincoln, hundreds

(53:14):
of prison inmates were displaced after the roof was blown
off two housing units.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
It was ugly.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
I mean no planes, no trains, no automobiles. It was
a deluge of water that hammered parts of the Midwest
this weekend.

Speaker 31 (53:32):
The heat and humidity fuelling many of the summer's powerful storms.
According to the Associated Press, the past two months have
been the muggiest on record, with climate change dialing up
the humidity for seventy million Americans east of the Rockies.
In much of the East, the humidity rose to tropical
levels in June and July, officials calling the conditions oppressive.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
Oppresserve indeed, I don't know about the climate change because
they like to go back to a certain level which
makes them go, oh, this was climate change.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
But I do know this. It's been a little bit monkey.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
Not gonna lie to you on that one three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chat Benson Show with
your ex your in sef you Missy show Shama you
lied good stuff still to get to including an urban word.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
A little bit later, Chad Benson.

Speaker 15 (54:17):
Shown Chad Benson, Joe.

Speaker 9 (54:39):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (54:42):
Friday Night, Bill Maher doing his Bill mar Thank had
on Doctor Phil which was kind of interesting, and Stephen A. Smith,
Stephen A. Smith talking about the potential for a run,
you know, as president, things of that nature, but also
about the Democratic Party and.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Everything that he's done.

Speaker 32 (54:58):
But I'm not going to cast a game them and
talk about them like, they call them everything but the
child of Guard, like some of our politicians on Capitol
Hill are doing, thinking that that's going to work to
the benefit of the Democratic Party. When you listen to
Jazzmy Crockett or on AOC and the way they talk
about them, even an Elizabeth Warrant to a lesser degree on.

Speaker 12 (55:14):
What have you.

Speaker 32 (55:15):
The Republicans are having a field day. They like, put
them up on screen, let's show them. They put They
plaster them all over the place, especially Mom, Donnie, that's
not an order today, just like you pointed, why because
they know that even though New York might go for him,
the America won't. And in a general election, you are
going to fall if you are anti America, if you

(55:36):
are anti capitalism, and you want to embrace extreme leftism
and socialism.

Speaker 12 (55:41):
But they want you scared.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
To say that you're not scared.

Speaker 32 (55:45):
You're not scared, and I can assure you I could
give less than.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
The damn Amen. I'm not afraid to say I'm anti communism,
anti socialism. That's just I'm not. I'm not I'm not,
nor should i be. I'm not afraid to say anything.
As you guys know, I'm going to sit here, and
you know, I get hammered all day by Apak and
all these other people. You're anti Semitic because I don't

(56:09):
want my dollars going to support what is happening in
the atrocities in Palestine. And I think as human beings
we need to do enough. And if you want to,
you know, break it down, as so many religious people
do well. And by that the way that they push
it is the ted Kruz way of pushing it. When
it comes to the religion. You know, those who bless

(56:32):
Israel will be blessed. Those who curse will be cursed.
Just old Testament, new Testament, get a new Testament. It's different,
but you want to break it up into two. And
somehow you think you're bringing about some sort of end
of the world, which I think is insane. Don't be

(56:54):
afraid to say the things you want to say. Don't
be no matter what it is, Socialism, commune, all of
that crap, say it. Let the people shout you down.
When people call me racist, I laugh. When people call
me anti Semitic, I laugh. That's your go to. You
have no idea anything outside of that. I get called

(57:15):
this all the time. A local show. Oh, you lib tard,
you're all of this. It's just so hilarious. Let's battle
the facts. If you want to play the game, you
don't want to play the game because it's a game
that you want rigged for yourself by only affirmation not information.
They continued on during the show when George Will came

(57:36):
on to talk about mom, Dommy.

Speaker 33 (57:38):
This must to be horrible for a guy like you,
who you spent your whole life talking about how government
tries to do too much, which it does and spends
too much. And here you have Trump, who is the
Republican who is aggrandizing more power than anybody, as we
just talked about. And on the other side you have
the guy running in New York men DOMI right, okay,

(57:59):
who's a straight up communist? I mean he is. He
talks about, you know, the things that communists say. I mean,
he wants free grocery stores, free buses.

Speaker 1 (58:09):
I want him to win, You want him to win?

Speaker 34 (58:11):
Yeah, I think every twenty years or so, Wait, every
twenty years or so, we need a conspicuous, confined experiment
with socialism so we can crack it up again.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
That's what I've been saying. Hope he wins. I think
he will win. He first of all, he took a
play plays out of Trump's lay book.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
That's number one.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Secondly, every once in a while in a controlled environment,
like he's saying, you need to put it to the test.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
To see what it looks like. Okay, this is what
you guys want. Here you go, let's see what you
can do about it. Here you go. Okay.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Now I continue to say this, he is going to
run into trouble through having a city council. That's not
going to be that way. You may be mayor, but
you're going to be battling other people that don't see
giving away everything as the option that they can afford.

Speaker 34 (59:15):
Socialist slogan used to be workers of the world, your night,
you have nothing to lose but your change. The new
socialist slogan is trust us. This time it won't be
a mess. So when the post war labor government in
Britain was about to get started, one of our leading
lights was a socialist name in Nurian Bevan. He said,

(59:37):
what could go wrong? He said, we have a nation
bedded on coal surrounded by fish. He would take an
organizational genius to a shortage of either in three years,
they had a shortage of both.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
That's socialism truth right there.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
A shortage of both goes back to what Thatcher which
she came in talking about socialism. It's always great until
you run out of other people's money. And when everybody says,
what about Bernie, he's a socialist, he's not. Bernie has
progressive ideas and by the way, a vast majority of

(01:00:14):
his progressive ideas are not based in.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Cultural ideas.

Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
They're based in stuff that government because we brought the
culture and government together to make it a battlefield, which
is something we should never have done, but because we're
trying to get people to legislate culture. But a vast
majority of what he believes is the state should be

(01:00:44):
kind of the ultimate lawgiver, the ultimate when it comes
to how much money and safety nets should be available
to everybody, et cetera, et cetera. You run your business,
but we want to have a lot more say in
how much people get paid.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
It's things of that nature.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
It's it's capitalism done the Scandinavian way, and they're very
capitalists in society. They's have super high, high high taxes
in a lot of cases, which makes it unsustainable for
people to want to continue to do business in those
places because it's so damn expensive.

Speaker 12 (01:01:24):
It is.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
And we'll see it's going to be a controlled area.
It's New York. You can get away with it there
in New York City because as much as the billionaire
say I'm going to move out, I'm and do this,
that and the other, are they really No, they'll move
out of the city if they're in the city. If
they're that worried about stuff, they'll avoid that kind of stuff,

(01:01:47):
the taxes or whatever he wants to do. And we
get to see it firsthand. And what's the pressure like
if you allow, you know, to go back to what
we've seen in the past, which is criminals run free.
Everybody gets out of jail all the time, no matter
what they do, no bail. We're not going to prosecute you.

(01:02:14):
I mean, we can go on and on about stuff
he wants to do. And what happens when you're now
competing government wise when it comes to because the big
thing is about the supermarkets, what's going to happen then,
because now you're going to be competing.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
With other supermarkets other areas.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
What are you going to do in competition where it
doesn't break the bank of the city. And we saw
how fast that can happen when they decided to be
a sanctuary city and they were bragging about it, and
then Governor Abbott said, I got an idea, and boy
that changed quick three two, three, five, three eight twenty

(01:02:52):
four twenty three at Chad Benson's show, is Your ex
Your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, We're probably going to go live tonight.
I'm not quite one hundred percent sure if we are.
Aren't just one of those things we're still fixing the
studio and my wife and kids were gone this weekend.

(01:03:12):
It was just Charlie and I having daddy daughter weekend,
and so she just got back today early this morning.
So we've got a couple other things that we're supposed
to be getting and I'm not quite sure we're going
to be able to get it up today, But if
we are, we'll probably go live tonight on the old interwebs.

Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
You know what we're not going to do. We're not
going to go live dial up style.

Speaker 23 (01:03:32):
For Americans at a certain age, the blast from the
past has the unmistakable squawk, squelch, and squeal of a
dial up internet connection. The Census Bureau says that at
last count, one hundred and sixty three thousand American households,
we're still using only dial up after more than four decades.
AOL is discontinuing its dial up service on September thirtieth,

(01:03:52):
along with supporting software. Subscribers will still have the option
of AOL's friendly announcement You've got mail.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
I have to be honest with you. When I saw this,
I had no idea it was still available.

Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
I had no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
I had no idea that AOL's dial up was still
of how many people do you think use AOL's dial up.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
Let's find that out still.

Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
I mean, I'm it's so bizarre that they still have
dial up, Like where would they How far in the
woods do you have to be dialum?

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
I mean they got the thing now.

Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Right with the thing the flies in the air and
the old thing for elon right star, Like they got
that thing.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I should know. I've got it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
We got it back in our other house because right
in the middle of you know, the middle of nowhere
out there in Arizona.

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Yeah, kids, you know what I'm talking about, the Valley
of the dirt people.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
So according to twenty fifteen statistics there were two million
people using dial up twenty twenty one that had crashed
to two hundred and sixty five thousand, and now it's
about two fifty. So there you go and it'll be

(01:05:14):
gone soon. So tonight, if you want to watch the show,
we will not be using dial up, but it's gonna
use the old you know, fast, super duper high speed
awesome interwebs. So letting you guys know that three two three, five,

Deep States, No Deep doo doo eh, the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
It's that time of the program where we being a
little bit older but a little.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
Bit wiser, help you understand the words that youngsters use
in today. So so you can't becommunicate with your family,
your friend, the younger ones, maybe even coworker who's younger
than you, and they say something.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
To think what the hell? What the what?

Speaker 12 (01:07:25):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
And then you have to ask, and then you feel embarrassed,
becuse everyone's like, ah, don't be that person, don't be okay, boomer. No,
it's try for you to get hip cool with the
vernacular of the youth of America.

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
It's time for the urban word of the day.

Speaker 9 (01:07:39):
Now, it's time for the urban word of the day.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
The young have a vocabulary all their own, and we
break it down for you. It's called the urban word
of the day. All right, the urban word of the day.
My buddy Brad uses he's got a big YouTube following

(01:08:04):
a million or so, is crushing it. Delulu is what
he says. The love delulu.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
You're like, what the hell is delulu.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
It's an abbreviation for delusional, not desilu productions de lulu
someone who has unrealistic, irrational beliefs and is disconnected from reality. Oh,
let's use it in a sentence. This next story, the
person who thought they could do this.

Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
Is delulu. That was the urban word of the day.
Now you know what story this story.

Speaker 35 (01:08:38):
Maybe you've heard of people getting stuck on a favorite
arcade game. But one young lady at this Chucky Cheese
and Burbank found out the hard way. You can also
get stuck in one as well, and if that happens,
you can expect plenty of people with cell phones around
to capture it. This was posted to the Citizen app
around three pm Thursday, a still unidentified woman inside the

(01:09:01):
snow Day game console on her knees, her right hand
stuck in a hole. Burbank firefighters took twenty two minutes
to freer.

Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Because she was de lulu in trying to get a prize.
De Lulu insane.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
So how did this happen?

Speaker 9 (01:09:16):
Good question, but the answer is not that clear.

Speaker 35 (01:09:19):
We did, however, find some social media eclips showing how
the game is supposed to be played. You get inside
the little chamber, small colored balls dropped down on you
from the ceiling, and while you race a timer, you
put as many of those balls into that hole as
you can. We don't know if she dropped something in there,
or if she was reaching for one of the balls
but her arm was not budget.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
Would you try the game?

Speaker 12 (01:09:43):
Well, yeah, if it's working.

Speaker 35 (01:09:45):
We bumped into Mario Navarez coming out of Chuck E
Cheese this afternoon and we showed him the video.

Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
But I'm not going to stick my hand in that hole.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
She's de lulu in thinking that she could get some
lever in there. Remember one of the only things I've
ever seen, maybe it was it was it Family Guy.
I thought it was Simpson. This might have been family Guy.
It was a family guy. Right where Peter got his
hand stuck inside the drink machine. And I think they said,
is the only thing preventing you from not getting your

(01:10:16):
arms out of there when the police came, you holding
on to the drinks. And He's like yes, because they
said they were going to cut his arms off, and
they said, oh, they'll grow back.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
This lady's de lulu.

Speaker 35 (01:10:25):
A look inside the restaurant today shows the game out
of commission, with technicians attempting to repair it. The pizza
chain did not respond to our request for comment, but
told People Magazine the game's design prevents children's arms from
reaching the area in question. There was no injury to
the young adult or any children, and the family continued
to enjoy an evening of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
You stayed around Wow, and they serve alcohol, which is
always nice at the Chukcheese. I love how they wouldn't
give us a statement. How about this that person's an idiot.
You're in it. You're an adult. You're a grown ass adult.
What were you thinking.

Speaker 35 (01:11:03):
Snow Day is manufactured by a company called Coastal Amusements,
based in Lakewood, New Jersey. We contacted them today to
find out they had any comments. We're glad there were
no serious injuries, said company president Michael Dean, but he added,
there are hundreds of these games in Chuck e cheeses
throughout the country, and we've never seen something like this
happen before. In the meantime, that video has gone viral.

(01:11:26):
Perhaps the only saving grace for the young lady is
that she's facing away from the camera and the fact
that she was reportedly uninjured makes this less of a
first responder emergency story and more of a boy I
wish that had gone differently story. As for the Burbank
Fire Department, they turned down our request for an interview.
They told us this is a nothing story and they

(01:11:46):
simply didn't have time to talk with us about what.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Happened because people are stupid, Like we don't have time
to interview with anybody over the stupidity of grown men
and women because they are Dululu three two three five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your X, your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, And remember we've

(01:12:10):
got a podcast. If you miss any of the show,
make sure you grab the podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
We love it when you do that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
It helps us out right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Coming up, our number three of the program, more on
Ukraine and Russia, the meeting, Doom, Doom.

Speaker 9 (01:12:25):
Dunt Doom.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
We've got a little Watts trending as well.

Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
Plus we've got this day in History and more on Israel,
some stuff about Epstein. Still not going away, by the way,
still not going He wanted to, I wanted to, but
it's not going away, just not. And we've got some
more of redistricting as well. Man, that's third to hour
is gonna be massive.

Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Are you guys ready for that? I better stratch.

Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
I think that's the only thing that's gonna help me
get through. I gotta do some stuff. Get my glutes.

Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
Working right, get my core working.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
You missed any of the show, shame on you. Make
sure you've grabbed that podcast. Our number three the program
straight at Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 9 (01:13:02):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
Russia, Russia, Russia, will they meet?

Speaker 12 (01:13:35):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Who Trump Pooter, But Selinsky.

Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
The Ukrainian president, is left on the sidelines of this
week's meeting. Several European leaders, including France, Germany and the UK,
issuing a joint statement insisting the path to peace in
Ukraine cannot be decided without Ukraine.

Speaker 1 (01:13:57):
No, it can't and is not going to Like what's coming,
and what's coming is You're gonna have to give up land.

Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
That's it. You are, Mike.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
Clients are mil channels coming on tomorrow, We're going to
do a deep dive into this and to what's going
on in Israel. The reality is you can't for a
moment think that you're going to keep all of your
stuff the way you used to have it, from Crimea
to the don Boss region to all of that. You're
gonna end up having to give up land. And Mike
lions Is said from the beginning, this is going to

(01:14:27):
be land for peace.

Speaker 4 (01:14:28):
The president suggested on the same day he announced the
summit that there would be an exchange of land in
order to reach a peace deal. Zelenski flat out rejects
seeding any land. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that
Putin told Trump's ENVOYE. Steve Witkoff, you would end the
war in exchange for eastern Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal
also reported that Europe and Ukraine presented its own peace

(01:14:50):
plan to top US officials, saying that no land concessions
without Ironcloud security guarantees, including potential NATO membership for you read.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Which is what supposedly started all of this, And that's
totally understandable.

Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
What he's saying is okay, So let's say I give
up this part of eastern Ukraine, and they're supposed to
be able to get a couple other pieces that they
had before that will be seeded back to them.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
So let's say I.

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
Do all of this right, and he got his warm
water port, which is something you really wanted. So let's
just say the pooter gets all of these things. Ukraine goes, okay,
So what do we get. We got a couple crappy
little pieces back. I mean, it's our land, but you know,
comparatively to what we gave up. But what assurances do
we have that they're not going to attack us again?

(01:15:38):
And we have to have actual assurances saying, look, here's
the deal, You're not going to get NATO membership, not
for a while. Once the booter's gone, we'll let you
guys in. At this moment in time, it's not going
to happen. That being said, we do assure you this,
should they attack you again unprovoked, they roll on in

(01:15:59):
this they want the rest of Ukraine or Kiev or
whatever it is that they want, or this city or
that city, that we will come to your aid.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
Now, if you attack Moldova, you're on your own.

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
But if Russia acides to come back in again, we've
got you back.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
And there you go.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
That's that's what this has to be. And from there, well,
we'll see what it looks like. Cause him not being there.
Do I understand why he's not going to be there
one hundred percent? I think we all understand why he's
not going to be there, and if he is going
to be there at any given time, like he's behind
the door and you're like, oh my god, look I
invited him. I know you told me not to, but

(01:16:40):
I can't leave him. If that was to happen, you
are going to yeah, I mean it just the pooter
would lose it. It would it would go sideways. At
some point though, I would assume they have to get
the better together for a signing, and it's going to
be in the you know, at another alle A island somewhere,

(01:17:02):
something like that. We'll get together, they'll sign it, and
then they'll be peace. Trump wants to end this. It's
costing a lot of people. You know, we always talk
about it in money, you know, I heard jd Vance
talking about that today.

Speaker 36 (01:17:18):
To your point about weapons, what we said to the
Europeans is simply, first of all, this is in your
neck of the woods, this is in your back door.
You guys have got to step up and take a
bigger role in this thing. And if you care so
much about this conflict, you should be willing to play
a more direct and a more substantial way in funding
this warriorself, I think the President and I certainly think

(01:17:40):
that America, we're done with the funding of the Ukraine
war business. We want to bring about a peaceful settlement
to this thing. We want to stop the killing. But Americans,
I think, are sick of continuing to send their money,
their TALX dollars to this particular conflict. But if the
Europeans want to step up and actually buy the weapons
from American producers. We're okay with that, but we're not

(01:18:02):
going to fund it ourselves anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Which I'm completely fine with. I am. I'm completely fine
with that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
Offer them several opportunities of peace, and if they want
to take it amongst themselves, the Europeans to continue to
fight this fight with Russia and Ukraine, let them. I've
got no problems with that. I also feel the same way,
even more so when it comes to Israel and what's
going on in Gaza and Palestine. I feel that way

(01:18:33):
because we're not just funding this thing, we are giving
it a green light thumbs up. Go in, attack, kill,
do whatever you need to do. I don't want any
part of that. We are a party two. What is
happening over there, We the United States of America US,
our tax dollars are paying for this.

Speaker 37 (01:18:54):
Contrary to false claims, this is the best way to
end the war, and the best way way to end
it speedily.

Speaker 1 (01:19:02):
Is you going in there and occupying it. Well, yeah,
it's going to be great for everybody, is it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:08):
No, it's not.

Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
You're starving their people, Oh Chad, They're not starving the people.

Speaker 37 (01:19:13):
Come on, the only ones that are being deliberately starved
in Gaza? Are our hostages?

Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Eh?

Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
You're wrong, my cockabee.

Speaker 10 (01:19:22):
At what point is the human suffering in Gaza so
great that the UAS demands that Israel allows free flow
of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Speaker 38 (01:19:33):
I think Israel is allowing a very steady flow of food.
And you know, here's a question I'd love to ask
some of the people who are so critical of Israel.
How many countries who are in the middle of a
war are expected to feed the enemies who murdered their people.

Speaker 1 (01:19:53):
Okay, so just let you know, especially if it's an
occupying force, starvation of civilians as a method of warfare
is prohibited. Attacking, destroying, and removing or rendering useless objects
indispensable to civilian survival, such as food, crops, livestock, water supplies,
or irrigation works for the purpose of denying them to

(01:20:16):
civilians or the enemy, whether to starve them because they
you want them to move, or for any other motive,
is absolutely prohibited. Well, Chad, they're not doing that. Let's
go back to something we talked about on Friday. I
want to point this out to everybody before you guys
starts on your indice. Midicre because that's all you know
how to do. It's all you know.

Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
I scream your nentie meritic. What do you think of that?

Speaker 12 (01:20:37):
Chad? I got you?

Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Did you get me?

Speaker 27 (01:20:40):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
Did you?

Speaker 12 (01:20:41):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
Did you get me? We talked about this last week,
and I'm going to point out to you what it's
like to live in Palestine pre October seventh. So pre
October seventh, not now. Israel's grid was where the power,
where it came from. For Gaza, we'll see how nice they're. Well,

(01:21:02):
that's because they won't let them have their own so
and they only gave them about sixty percent what they needed.
Gaza's solar power plant, which ran on Israel's imported fuel.

Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
Yeah, that's not happening anymore. And Egyptian grid minimal.

Speaker 1 (01:21:20):
To never completely, not reliable on average twelve to eighteen
hours a day with no fuel or electricity.

Speaker 2 (01:21:29):
Water.

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
This is all pre October seven, okay. Guz has got
very few freshwater resourcege aquifers, over pumped, often salty or
polluted desalentization plants, limited and imported water from Israel five
to ten percent of Gaza's total water supply. Israel controlled
everything decided when they piped it in telecommunications. All right,

(01:21:55):
So Israel controlled the list of dual use items materials
like concrete, hyping, electronics that could be used for both
civilian and military purposes. You're not getting that many building materials,
medical equipment, and electronics required special permits or restricted population
registry and ID system. You guys want to keep going, Okay, Palestine,

(01:22:15):
you ready for this? In Gaza, Palestinians needed an ID
card issued by the Palestinian authority but approved by Israel.
So we'll give you a card. But hold on, they
got to tell me if it's okay. Israel controlled who
was officially recognized as a resident of Gaza, which affected
travel permits and more, currency and banking.

Speaker 2 (01:22:33):
Should I go on? How about one more?

Speaker 1 (01:22:35):
Gazi used the Israeli shekels as primary currency. Israel had
oversight of financial transaction, including wire transfers, flow of aid
and salaries. Now, even though there's no permanent military civilian
presence inside Gaza after two thousand and five, it maintained
that's when they left.

Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
It maintained overall.

Speaker 1 (01:22:56):
Essential lifelines including who and what could enter, electricity and fuel, telecommunications,
maritime access, building material and aid delivery.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
So if you're going to tell me about, oh, nobody's.

Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
Starving, nobody's doing anything, and you're going to go about
doing this, you are committing a crime over and over again.
Some people say it's not genocide, ethnic cleansing, ethnic removal,
forced removal, atrocities, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
And this is not about Hamas.

Speaker 12 (01:23:34):
They are awful.

Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
What they did on October seventh was awful. This is
not excusing any of that. But to become the thing
you're fighting against doesn't help you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
And Israel. Within the next five to ten years.

Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
The support in America is collapsing from Gen X down
to the millennials, down to Gen Z and alphas, and
it's going to con continue to do so the baby
boomers might still have their Hey, we got to support
Israel at all costs. Guess where it's not happening anything
under fifty and we're it for them nobody else. Australia

(01:24:16):
came out today he said they're recognizing Palestine. I think
there's a lot more countries. But you know what they're
worried about. They're worried about us.

Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Don't be do it.

Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
This is ridiculous. This is causing the lives of young
and innocent people. And this is causing lives of IDF members,
many of who, by the way, are reserves there stretch
thin and they're exhausted and they're frustrated. Not to mention
the hostages which he doesn't care about bebe he's going

(01:24:45):
to use them the same way that Palestine uses their
hostages and the death of their civilians. Three two, three, five, three, eight,

It's time for you to look at gold as a

in what's going on, as a diversification inside of your investments.

Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
It's a smart thing to do. Gold has made quite
a move.

Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
Twelve months ago it was worth forty percent less than
it is now.

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
That's the kind of move it's made.

Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
Central banks are making a move, Big time investors are

it's gone viral and it doesn't look real, but people
are spreading it everywhere.

Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
It's all over the social media world. It's not real.

work with the Orcas like this anymore. They don't have

Speaker 9 (01:31:23):
I am so dumbfounded right now.

Speaker 40 (01:31:25):
There are people that genuinely think that people who use
EVT don't deserve soda, candy or desserts. You're gonna tell
me that my daughter doesn't deserve a popsicle. You're gonna
tell me I don't deserve to get brownies. You're gonna
tell me I can't have a doctor pepper with my dinner,
and all I'm hearing is be grateful.

Speaker 9 (01:31:46):
Be grateful, it's free food.

Speaker 40 (01:31:48):
Get off of your throne of entitlement and take a
look around you, guys. Everyone is one bad day away
from being homeless or even needing government assistants.

Speaker 9 (01:31:58):
Do you, guys, not see how that makes you look?

Speaker 40 (01:32:01):
Your lack of empathy and understanding is outstandingly atrocious.

Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
It's got to be a really bad day for you
to get to that point. It's gonna be like a
really bad day.

Speaker 12 (01:32:13):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:32:13):
I'm not saying that there aren't people out there that
aren't struggling and need help. Absolutely, you can see the
numbers that being said. No, you don't deserve all the
snacks and stuff. I think this has more to do
with the fact that you know we've got an obesity problem,
so there's that you need to tell me that I

(01:32:34):
can't get all the free snacks I want and I
don't deserve that you're entitled. No, I think that seems
like it's a u problem there. You're still getting food
and if you're making money, can you buy your own
well or you're not making any money? The safety net
was supposed to be a net that when things got sideways,

(01:32:57):
you know, you fel and then net caught you. Then
you got back on your feet and you started to
do stuff. It wasn't supposed to be a hammock jed,
that's so mean, you're so mega.

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
I think we know that I'm anything, but which is
what brings us to this.

Speaker 1 (01:33:19):
I don't know if you've seen these ladies. Their podcast
is massive. It's called I've Had Enough. And this lady
she hates Mega on an epic level, and she goes
off on Mega and doesn't want anybody who voted for
Trump to even think about having a burrito or a
wanton or.

Speaker 2 (01:33:41):
Anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:42):
You can't go to any Chinese food, Korean food, and
a barbecue for you, right, you can't even go to
a don't even think about going to a Mexican restaurant
or else.

Speaker 9 (01:33:52):
I've had it with.

Speaker 41 (01:33:55):
White people that triple trumped, Yeah, that have the nerve
and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a
Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to perhaps their gay hairdresser.
I don't think you should be able to enjoy anything

(01:34:16):
but cracker barrel. And if you want to triple Trump
and you want to browbeat DEI, and you want to
browbeat gay people, and you want to browbeat black people
as you've been doing for four hundred years, and you
want to browbeat this generation of immigrants that come over
here and open up businesses, earnestly pay their taxes. You
want to demonize them and call them rapists and felons

(01:34:38):
and all this shit. When the felon is the teeny
weeny mushroom piece of that cankles mctaco teams at the
top of the ticket.

Speaker 1 (01:34:47):
God, she's an angry You're an angry, angry white lady.
By the way, stop ty you white people as cracker
as anybody else. Stop with the we don't think you
deserve food. Why because some people are like, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
Oh they didn't. Some people did vote for let's throw
everybody out.

Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
A lot of people voted for let's get the bad
ones out of here and let's figure it out from there,
and let's stop the flow of illegals coming into the country. Okay, okay,
but this hey, you know what, we're taking it all
away from you.

Speaker 2 (01:35:21):
So should I say?

Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
Well, because democrats voted for Biden and against all that stuff.
They're pro getting rid of police or anybody else that's
the first responder or anything else. So should something happen
to you, call a counselor well, it's not very nice.

Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
I'm just putting that out there. Continue, ma'am, who's very angry.

Speaker 41 (01:35:40):
I have had it from top to bottom white people
that triple Trump should be banned, boycotted from enjoying the
best thing that America has to offer, which is multi culturalism.
Get your fat asses out of the Mexican restaurant, Get
your fat asses over to Cracker Barrel, because nobody wants
to see your smug ass, teeny weeny pink arm, big

(01:36:02):
gut around. Nobody wants to see that.

Speaker 1 (01:36:05):
No one. By the way, multi culturalism is an absolute sham.

Speaker 12 (01:36:13):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
It's an absolute sham. The culture of.

Speaker 1 (01:36:20):
A nation, what makes us who we are, is incredible.
It is it is absolutely the most incredible thing. The
spirit of who we are self, governess, all of that
stuff that is awesome. That you can start from nothing
and become something that anybody who comes here is a

(01:36:42):
chance to be an American, not a chance to be
whoever they were from wherever they are, but they have
a passport that says you know that they're American.

Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
That's not it.

Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
It fails because people decide nowadays, hey, I'm just going
to go to America. It'll be a great opportunity for
me to get ahead, help my family out.

Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
It's booty call. It's not commitment.

Speaker 1 (01:37:09):
In a way it goes, and what happens we have separation,
like you cannot believe. It's great to have diversity when
it's not forced on people. It's great to have the
opportunity to find out about other cultures.

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
But when you come to a country.

Speaker 1 (01:37:32):
That's their country, and to think that I want to
bring all of my stuff and put it out there
where you must respect it. And I'm going to live
my life the way I want to live my life,
regardless of how you believe in America, because that's for you.
I just want to be here as a safety net
from where I came from. That fails. See everywhere that's

(01:37:56):
been tried. It binds us. What makes us who we
are is our belief of being that shiny thing on
the hill of exceptionalism of opportunity. Ronald Reagan said, the
beauty of coming to America is. If you go to

(01:38:17):
Japan and you want to be Japanese, you're never going
to be Japanese. If you go to Germany and you
want to be German, you're never going to be German ever.

Speaker 37 (01:38:26):
Ever.

Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
If you go to.

Speaker 1 (01:38:30):
Australia you want to be Australian, you're never gonna be Australian.
But if you want to come to America, no matter
where you're from, you can become an American. That's who
we are. That right there is who we are. So
when I hear stuff like this, I sit there and
I scratch my head and I think to myself, you don't.

Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
Get it, you don't, you don't.

Speaker 1 (01:38:53):
And to go out there and say everybody who voted
for Trump is automatically all of the worst things.

Speaker 12 (01:39:06):
Is just.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
Do it with any other group and see what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:39:11):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty

don't think they're coming back anytime soon. Redistricting is a
battle that is going to continue to go on and

(01:39:31):
on and on, and it's going to be interesting over
the next couple days to see how this plays itself
out as Abbott and them trying to figure out different ways.
You know, are they going to arrest them if they
show up? How do they know when they show up?
It's it's going to be so fascinating not only to
watch how this thing plays itself out, and we're going
to get in again over the next couple of days,

(01:39:52):
because I told you how important this was, but also
what are the other states going to do? How are
they going to react to this, whether it a red
state who made luck and go, oh, maybe we want
to do that, or a blue state who's already thinking, Okay,
we need to figure.

Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
This out, we need to make this happen.

Show before we jump on this day in history. Over
the weekend, kids, this day in Histories, new day was added,
which we'll be talked about in the future because Major
League Baseball got itself. It's first first female umpire.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:42:06):
She debuted this weekend. Even was behind the plate yesterday.
I know, right, they're letting women do what now I'm kidding,
of course, but yes, kids, Baseball's history was very, very
good to her.

Speaker 5 (01:42:19):
So more history today. Joey Witz is ready. We hope
you're ready, And here we go. Joey Wentz, like's that
first call for Jim Powell. He'll take it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:29):
And I wonder if they're going to take the baseball.
I guess not. I thought that maybe that would be
a kind of a big one.

Speaker 15 (01:42:33):
There we go. Now we got to figure it out.

Speaker 5 (01:42:35):
Yep, they are going to authenticate it and Jim Powell
will forever get to keep that ball.

Speaker 1 (01:42:39):
Yep, she got to keep the ball. She umped the
game yesterday. Afterwards, I would say pretty pretty excited.

Speaker 20 (01:42:47):
The dream actually came true today and I'm still.

Speaker 12 (01:42:50):
Living in it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:50):
And I'm just.

Speaker 20 (01:42:52):
So grateful to my family, to Major League Baseball for
just creating such a work environment on the umpires that
I work with.

Speaker 12 (01:43:03):
We have just.

Speaker 20 (01:43:03):
Amazing camaraderie and we're having fun out there. We're working hard,
but we're having fun, and I'm just so thankful.

Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
Normally umpires do zero press whatsoever. This is the crew
chief of that crew, Cuccioni, I think his name is
Chris Cuccioni talking about the moment.

Speaker 21 (01:43:21):
This is one of the proudest moments I've been part
of in all my career.

Speaker 17 (01:43:26):
I mean, I've.

Speaker 21 (01:43:26):
Worked, I've been blessed with working playoffs. I've worked two
World Series, All Star Games, and this.

Speaker 9 (01:43:31):
One is right up there with it.

Speaker 21 (01:43:32):
And you know, my family coming out and watching and
all that, but this is this is up there, like
it gives me chills, just like even thinking about it.
In the magnitude I was just sitting here and going
like it just kind of kind of just hit me
just now, like the magnitude of this whole thing and
how hard.

Speaker 36 (01:43:50):
She's worked.

Speaker 9 (01:43:50):
She does an incredible job.

Speaker 21 (01:43:51):
She's an incredible person and likes to have fun, works hard.

Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
So this is huge.

Speaker 1 (01:43:57):
So Jen Pell becoming the first female to umpire a
Major League Baseball game and probably the last because Ai
is gonna take it over. Not very nice, Jan not
very now. I'm just I'm They're all gonna be gone.
Well I have one, we got, we got Ai. You
can handle everything. Oh jeez, No, that was historic. Speaking

(01:44:18):
of history.

Speaker 2 (01:44:19):
At that time of the day, we do a little
history for ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:44:22):
We look back on this day today is August eleventh,
and the year Lord twenty twenty five. What took place
on said day, August eleventh? Throughout time, it's time for
what's a kind of time, a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
Now it's time for this day in history.

Speaker 1 (01:44:39):
We look back on this set to find out what
the famous things took place?

Speaker 2 (01:44:43):
All right, this day in history.

Speaker 1 (01:44:47):
A lot of stuff happened on this day, some of
it really interesting, others kind of sad. On this day
in history, we go back to the way back yonder
and guess what. Kids thirty one fourteen PCE, the ancient
Miyans marked the mythical creation dates of their calendar. Fast

(01:45:10):
forward to eighteen seventy four, Harry Parmally patted the sprinkler head,
which changed safety forever when it comes to fire nineteen
twenty nine. The stay in history almost a hundred years ago.
Bab ruthken In the first player. He had five hundred
home runs. In nineteen thirty four, Alcatraz accepted its first inmate,

(01:45:31):
Welcome to the Rock. On this day in history, nineteen
sixty five, the Watts Riots.

Speaker 22 (01:45:43):
It was the most widespread, most destructive racial violence in
American history. White people driving through the riot area were
considered fair.

Speaker 9 (01:45:52):
And gay, whether young or old, man or women.

Speaker 22 (01:45:56):
Where cars were battered, the driver's stone kicked beaten, and
the cars were burned. The mobs might groan and chris
and disappointment when a white got away, and then cheer
like a football crowd when a car went up.

Speaker 1 (01:46:10):
And played yeah on the state history of the Wats
Riots took place started neighborhood. If you don't know where
Wats is, traffic stop young black men by white highway
patrol officers escalated to a fight. Tensions of a police brutality,
racial discrimination, poor living conditions. It all boiled over forty

(01:46:32):
million dollars in damage, but it took six days for
it to eventually calm down. Riots, looting, a arson, thirty
four dead, thousand injured that happened on this day in history.
Top of that, on this day in history, our last
soldiers got out of Vietnam.

Speaker 17 (01:46:49):
I'll never forget made Kane San and gentlemen, you know
we all joined the Marine Corps. We're all going to
die like marines. This could be our Alamo. And we
all just looked at one another like.

Speaker 12 (01:47:01):
It was absolutely chaos.

Speaker 5 (01:47:02):
All your regulations went out the door that day.

Speaker 12 (01:47:05):
There was tremendous confusion.

Speaker 24 (01:47:08):
And with lack of tsunami of people, people laures and
cause all chasing one American evacuation come bay after the other.

Speaker 1 (01:47:17):
Yeah, craziness.

Speaker 2 (01:47:20):
You saw it take place. Many who are old enough
watched everything.

Speaker 1 (01:47:26):
They actually left the Marines there because they got the
ambassadorroute and I think they said the eagle is gone,
and they had no idea that there was a whole
bunch of Marines still leapt up on top of the roof,
so they'd go back and get them. Also, on this
day in history, eleven years ago, world got tragic and

(01:47:49):
horrible news.

Speaker 25 (01:47:51):
This is CNN breaking news, so I hate to have
to report this. The breaking news just in the CNN
is that actor Robin Williams is dead at the age
of sixty three from an apparent suicide. This is from
williams representative released a statement just a moment ago, saying, quote,

(01:48:13):
battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and
sudden loss. The family respectful and respectfully asks for their
privacy and they grieve during this very difficult time.

Speaker 1 (01:48:25):
Yeah, committed suicide, as we come to find out, battling
depression for years.

Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
