Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson show Man.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
It was a short week, but there was so much
stuff that has happened. And can I just say, I'm
pretty pumped about what's coming today, the World Cup draw.
We'll talk about that a little bit. First, let's talk
about Texas redistricting. What happened. Supreme Court came out and said, yeah,
(00:38):
and go forward, right, it's okay.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
The Supreme Court's conservative majority overruling that judge who had concluded,
after a nine day trial, three thousand pages of evidence
that the new Texas maps were racially jerrymandered, illegally discriminating
against minority voters. And what the conservative majority on the
High Court said is that that conclusion was likely wrong,
failing to assume the good faith on the part of
(01:04):
the map drawers in Texas.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
The good faith, what the hell does that mean? That's
that's an interesting thing. So what they're saying is, and
let's be real, did they draw the lines to benefit
the party? Yes, absolutely, one hundred percent. Did they draw
(01:27):
the lines based only on race? And did they hurt
a racial group? No? No. The fact that a racial
group maybe votes one way is the way that they,
(01:47):
you know, are saying, look, you hurt the group. And
there was the League of United Latin American Citizens that
brought the case against Abbott. But the act is both
parties Jerrymander for the party. They don't care what color
(02:09):
you are. They want to make it so they win.
That's the end. That's the end game of this. If
if it was all Latinos that voted for Republicans, no
matter whether you know, Mexican, American, Honduan, American, whatever it is,
(02:31):
they don't care if you're all gonna vote, if you're
more right leaning, they're gonna draw it away that benefits them.
There's nothing to do with your color, and it has
all to do with the color of your vote, red
or blue. So they upheld this And what's this mean, Well,
it's not over and it was all about party lines.
(02:52):
You knew that was gonna happen. And this is an
interesting case and it's a case. It's important because obviously
going into next year, this is going to be a
year that is already tough for Republicans. I think they're
starting to understand that the reality of everything is it
(03:12):
feels like is against the Republicans right now. The affordability
question is massive. The fact that they have seen a
couple special elections where they were expected to lose but
make it competitive and they got boat raced, and a
election here in Tennessee that they had to call in
the big dogs to get the guy over the line
(03:34):
at the end against an uber progressive activist didn't really,
I think, install a bunch of confidence. So the fact
that they got this win I think is big for them.
But you've got let's just talk about this for a second.
The Obamacare ACA right subsidies are going away. Well what
(03:55):
does that mean? Well, the Republicans are supposed to have
a fix, and they were supposed to hope. They were
hoping to do something before they went away on whatever
it is, Christmas break or recess. At this point in time,
I don't even know what they do. It's a part
time job. It's the way I feel. So what happens
you don't get that done and it gets to January first,
(04:16):
and I don't know if they're gonna get it done.
Remember Trump was supposed to announce something and he canceled that.
And it doesn't even seem like anybody's talking about You
had a Stephanic the other day in New York who
basically came out and said, Mike Johnson's a liar and
he's not very good at his job, and if we
held a vote today, he wouldn't be speaker, which, by
(04:36):
the way, Speaker of the House unless you've got a
massive majority, is a crappy job. But people are going
to go, Okay, you guys, don't do anything. You decide
not to get on this. Once those rates are locked
in for next year, it's it, and you're gonna have
(04:57):
millions of Americans who are going to see them lose
their healthcare because they're gonna have to make a decision
to roll the dice. And you're going to see millions
of Americans see there what their rates go way up.
(05:19):
So doing everything you can to get the last bit
of anything out of anywhere is important for them. So
this was a big win for them, at least for now.
So through the primaries in March and we'll see what
happens from there. Meanwhile, boat drinks snow boat strikes.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Behind closed doors, Bradley and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan
Caine briefing lawmakers on the operation, which they revealed included
the initial attack and then three follow up strikes killing
the survivors. Lawmaker watched video of the strikes, emerging with
starkly different impressions.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
What I saw in that room was one of the
most troubling things I've seen in my time in public service.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Democrat Congressman Jim Himes describing that second strike as an
attack on shipwrecked sailors, something that would violate the laws
of war.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah, I look, I have no I have zero empathy
for drug dealers, right. But at the same time, as
you guys know, I'm not some cruel, evil sob and
I'm not one of these guys that's going to go
(06:42):
out there and say we should have, you know, made
sure the sharks ate them. That's not who I am.
This is a nuance gray area. It's one of those
things where you remember a few years ago when there
was that weird optical illusion thing about the color of
the dress. Do you see gray or do you see silver?
(07:06):
Do you see yellow? It's kind of that way here.
For people who think, ah, we got to do this
is the right thing to do. They're trying to kill
all of us here, blah blah blah blah. You look
and you think, okay, you know, and for other people.
It's like, we don't even know if they had drugs.
We don't even know if they were actually the dealers themselves.
(07:27):
If they were, you know, we have no idea because
again there's been none of that evidence provided. So but
even at that point in time, you've you've disabled and
disarmed everything. They're no different than you know, Jack, not
my son, but from Titanic, Jack and Rose. At that point,
(07:50):
they're floating on stuff. And this is you know, again,
the Venezuela thing is very I'm very frustrated with it
because and were we to talk to our buddy Jim
Kennedy the Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research later about this.
But I have to be you know, transparent, As I
(08:10):
said yesterday, I don't give a rats ask about Venezuela.
I don't care about well, the drugs. You know, the
drug issue in this country is an issue that we
have a problem with our addiction level in this nation,
whether it's outrage, food, cocaine, whatever it is is a
(08:35):
big problem. But to think that we might go to
some sort of war over cocaine that they don't produce
and they move a little bit of weight is insane.
And the fact that we would be bombing. Go again.
I have a problem, and I think this Admiral Bradley,
I think it through himself, you know, kind of you know,
(08:57):
under the bus here. So we'll see what takes place.
And my fear again, my hope is Maduro takes the
money and leaves. I guess his last offer was, I
want two hundred million dollars. I want amnesty for all
(09:18):
of my people and me, and we're going to bounce,
and the US is all no, okay, And we've one
of the things that we haven't talked about when it
comes to this, and we're going to talk deeper on
in fact, Tuesday, we're going to do a little bit
of a special thing with my clients a little bit longer.
Is when you look at Venezuela, there are many factions
(09:46):
in there from you know, you've got Fark, we've talked about.
Those are the you know, because you've got this weird
little area that's almost this kind of not really Colombia,
not really Venezuela. The produce drugs there, and you know
you've got Fork there, which is the far leftist group
that's you know, that's it's then you've got the Boulevars,
(10:09):
and then you've got the military and you have all
of these people that will be warring over the area.
So US removing him may only turn it into Libya
in Iraq, and we're going to have to figure out
a way that how do we stabilize that because the
(10:30):
people that are currently in power, not all of them
are leaving. So even if he leaves, there's going to
be some people stuck there that may be feeling like, oh,
I'm going to get the brunt of this. Well, my
ass is not going to go down without a fight.
And by the way, I want some of that money too.
So this is just my fear is we're going to
(10:52):
open up a hornet's nest and then we're going to go, oh,
we should slowly back away. Let me know what you think.
Yesterday pipe bomber got him. We know who he is again.
Alleged pipe bomber from January sixth. That's a long time ago.
Brian coleg twenty twenty one.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
By the way, Brian Cole Junior was arrested and charged
with placing the pipe bombs at the RNC and the
DNC on January fifth, twenty twenty one.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Okay, we know who he is. We have no idea
why he did what he did. Thirty five seven, Ish
Black worked for a Bell bondsman, lived in Virginia. No
idea why he did it, So let the conspiracy theories
(11:42):

Well, it's been a short week. I still work four days.
The reality is, it feels like it's been a long week.
And you know what I think, Thank god it's finally Friday.
Speaker 6 (13:21):
We don't have a political agenda. My agenda is the truth.
And if truth is against your political agenda, then I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (13:28):
The biggest sign of fascism and authoritarianism is the war
on objective truth. For right wing people in America right now,
there's no such thing as an objective truth.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Got around in the snow has been a little scary,
a little slick out there.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Not a hundred.
Speaker 8 (13:40):
Dollars walking, I know, well, I'll say it.
Speaker 9 (13:44):
Body's burning, go through my buggeting, do my skin. I'm morning,
I'll be.
Speaker 10 (13:54):
It's fine Friday, I'm a friend, my motor.
Speaker 11 (14:01):
It's the little guy was found literally face down next
to the toilet, leaving behind a trail of broken bottles
and one very confused the clean up crew.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
Now to a possible weight log breakthrough for your pets.
Speaker 12 (14:19):
Our four legged friends are taking the fear and anxiety
away from going to the dentist.
Speaker 10 (14:25):
It's fine fire, it's lemnium.
Speaker 13 (14:40):
Ball is not yet licensed to dry already though the world,
like the ball he dribbles, is at his feet.
Speaker 14 (14:46):
How do you describe moonlight? How do you describe candle light?
How do you count the bubbles? And he got a champigne.
Speaker 8 (14:52):
I don't know. I just don't when I say it,
it's a.
Speaker 15 (14:55):
Beautiful, wady thirty hours, lowly.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Dunnedy again.
Speaker 16 (15:21):
Forget some Allians have taken billions of dollars out of
our country. They've taken billions and billions of dollars.
Speaker 12 (15:31):
The reason President Trump is throwing racial slurs out is
because he's failing on every front.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Another hell of a week of chaos and craziness, and
we delivered to you with some fun and frivolity right
here on the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
Brian Cole Junior was arrested and charged with placing the
pipe bombs at the r n C and the d
n C on January.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Fifth, twenty I ain't twenty one.
Speaker 17 (16:01):
The Oxford word of the year for twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
You know what it is, rage bait. He was the
right call.
Speaker 18 (16:08):
We have his back.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I did not personally see survivors, but I stand because
the thing.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
Was on fire. Man.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
I'll tell you what. The animal stuff we did yesterday
was hilarious. But I was thinking about this. So we
were going on my local show. We were talking about this,
the amount of money that we spend on our pets,
because we were talking about, you know, the the dental thing,
(16:36):
you know, with the dogs, but like how much we
love our animals. And we got on this you know
thing about vet bills and stuff, and so I went
and looked it up. If we were to take the
money that we spend on our animals for things that
aren't just food, Okay, but I'm talking about Christmas presents,
(17:03):
Halloween outfits, and vet bills that kind of stuff. Are
you ready for this? That's amount of money that we
spend again, now cat zempeic is greater than about one
hundred and thirty nations GDP. It is good to be
(17:25):
an American, Ain't no doubt about that. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your ex, your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook, and
oh so much more. This is the Chad Benson Show,
The Chad Benson.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I normally, and I do say this, do not get
involved in the influencer conspiracy theory, hyperbolic rage bait hilarity
that happens because I just can't.
Speaker 18 (18:24):
I do.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
You guys know, Look, I talk about it all the time.
I don't do crazy. I don't. I do you know
it's it would be so easy. God, It's just so
easy to do just and having fun with crazy and
just picking that side of of a topic and just
going so overboard. But I don't. I thought I would
(18:49):
weigh in on this one because canis Owens If you
guys know, she is influencer, got a big podcast. She's
being sued by the French government because she swears that
the current first Lady used to be a dude. I'm
not lying to you guys. For guess it's just a
lot of conspiracy theories with canvas, a lot of them,
(19:11):
a lot of them. But the latest one in the
battle that's going on is Turning Point USA. Charlie Kirk.
They were good friends. She is alleged a lot of
different things. They've now challenged her to a debate. She said, oh,
I can't do it on that day. It's it is.
But now other people are get involved, including Tim Poole,
(19:32):
and I don't watch, and I gotta be honest, I
don't watch people ask them, what do you watch? You
know who? I watch a lot of Breaking Points right
because I want to hear both sides of something. I
watch a bit of that. I watch them Dave Smith
and Hallmark Christmas movies right now. I'm really deep into
(19:53):
Hallmark Christmas movies. You have no idea, but I thought,
you know what. Tim Poole came out and went after
Candace pretty hard over this. And again, this all has
to do with Charlie Kirk Turning Point USA, and a
lot of it has to do with the fact that
there is a battle going on to replace Charlie in
(20:21):
that sphere, and that is something that is going to
be hard for them to do. Charlie worked hard, and
he caught lightning in a bottle and he did something
where he was out there doing what he was doing
(20:44):
at a time that really there was a great opportunity
for it. But he built it up and that became
his brand, going debating, doing all these kind of things,
trying to bring young people to the Conservative Party, right
reading the gospel at time. That was kind of his brand.
A lot of these other influencers, their brands are fire,
(21:07):
you know, throwers, and they've got their own shows that
it's so it's very fractured right now. So Tim Poole
addressed the Candace turning point Timpoole battle.
Speaker 19 (21:23):
It's a hugh, he says, Tim. I work in construction
and experience the same thing. My coworkers are all in
on the Charlie Kirk conspiracies. If the Republicans lose in
the midterms, I believe that Candice Owens is wholly responsible.
She is one of the biggest podcasts on the right,
doing everything to go to war with the organization that
(21:44):
helped get Trump elected. Turning Point specifically was going out
and registering people to vote. Without Charlie, it's in trouble.
Turning Point needs to be able to go out and
rally young people and register them to vote, and she's
doing everything she can to destroy that, and that is
going to I suppose it's going to rip out the
(22:06):
coffers on the right. There is no organization like like
Turning Point that exists anywhere else that has the resources
and the reach, And without Charlie, I'm not sure that
they can make it. But I can tell you this,
Candace lighting a molotop and thrown into the window is
not helping. And it's it's the most demoralizing thing ever.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
So that's where this is headed right Like there, you know,
Candace is doing this. Everybody's grabbing for a piece of
the pie. Everybody's grabbing for you know, do you want
to be elevated? Can you take some of that? It's
not about registering people, you know, that was Charlie's thing.
Charlie did great job. By the way, Charlie was frustrated
(22:50):
with a lot of things. We've talked about that and
the horrors that happened there. But Charlie also that was
his thing. He built this thing up, kind of had
a vision for it, and took it and ran with it.
People want to replace Charlie for the audience. They don't
(23:14):
have the same vision. Does that make sense? They want
the market share, but they don't share the vision.
Speaker 19 (23:20):
Additionally, all of the cowards on the right who are
too scared to say anything about her because she tweets
it me talking or whatever. And then a bunch of
people come and flood our chat. I could give a
single flying f You can come and you can burn
everything I have to the ground, and I will happily
live in a van down by the river. I don't
(23:41):
care to be number one. I don't need to be
number one. What I care about is what is true
and what will help this country and what works. And
she is a scumbag, okay, And she's getting worse every day.
And she crossed the line. She continually crosses the line
every day, insinuating the turning point. Literally killed the guy
who made them all rich. And I have to and
(24:01):
I hear this in the streets, and at a certain point,
I'm like, Holy, we're gonna lose the midterms. We're gonna
lose the midterms. Then we're gonna lose in twenty twenty eight.
And it's because she's a piece because instead of saying, guys,
let's come together and forgot to work together, she says
the stupidest, retarded crap. And now everybody's running around divided
(24:22):
and broken for what reason, for literally what reason.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Okay, Tim, I'm just say this. You're not gonna lose
the midterms. If you lose midterms on whether or not
Candice did something or didn't do something. You're not gonna
lose the midterms on that. You're not gonna lose the
midterms based on even if Charlie was still here and
(24:52):
things are continuing in the path that they're continuing him
going to campuses and winning debates and debating youngsters and
trying to get them to register to vote wouldn't change
the fact that they are saddled with debt, that they
are frustrated that their job future looks bleak, that they
(25:16):
are looking at the American dream and saying, my dream
is to not have seven roommates. Right, They are looking
at this in that realm. It's not about owning the lips. See,
you know, we talked about it. This week. The rage
(25:36):
bait for a lot of Republicans out there, it's about
owning the lips, right. That's why they love Trump so
much because he owned the lips. He won the Internet
this day, meme king all of that stuff. That's great,
(25:57):
except for I got to pay bills and I tried
to pay with a meme and they told me no. See,
the younger generation is pissed and frustrated. They're anxious. They're
(26:21):
angry at a lot of different things, including the fact
that they felt they were told to lie by society
that you got to go and take out all this
debt and there's gonna be all this stuff. The younger
generation and I talk about it, they do not feel
that there is a future that they are going to
be able to thrive in. And everybody's like, well, it's
(26:47):
the socialism they teach at school, or it's this debt
and the other it's Candace Sows, it's the economy. It
is the economy. It is when life is good and
you have a future you see with an economy that's
(27:09):
moving forward, where you feel you're a part of it
and you're getting something out of it, that's not having
to work three jobs to make ends meet. You know what,
you can look to an opportunity of having a relationship
and a family. You can look to the opportunity of
owning a home and settling down and putting down roots
and building in into a community. So I don't care
(27:35):
what anybody says. Charlie was a massive help, huge And
I've said it, I've said it over and over again.
Charlie helped Trump get over the hump right, got him
across the line as much as anybody. And I think
if Charlie and Turning Point wasn't there, I don't think
(27:56):
it would have happened. I don't I don't think it
would have happened. That being said, it's not because Charlie
Turning Point, USA, Candace Owens and all this stuff. It
is simply a younger generation isn't sold to either party.
(28:25):
They're not buying I'll fix it, and then when it
doesn't get fixed, you blame the other party and say, Okay,
I believe you, they're not. So it's funny to watch
at times because it's very high school that big said.
(28:46):
The reality is it is not if you lose the
midterms because of Candace or Tucker or Nick Fuentes or
Steven Crowder or Turning Point USA. It's because life is unaffordable,
(29:08):
and when life is unaffordable, life is miserable. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show,
Is Your ex, Your Insta, YouTube and more. We'll talk
a little bit more about this next hour. Bunch of
stuff still to get to, including people the day has
(29:33):
a ride. We're going to talk about what is coming up,
and if you're listening, you might be listening to the
podcast has already happened. But I am pumped because the
World Cup, the foot Bowl World Cup draw. We'll talk
(29:54):
about it and we'll talk a little bit about the
USA's chances next year in the World Cup as well.
But first, Relief Factor reef factor is amazing. You take

I'm doing tai chie now, and but it's it's very hard,

Speaker 20 (31:24):
A long, lonely walk for Gonzalo. Montiel didn't start the game,
he could finish it. Montel Edina shut Bence offlo oh.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Baby, the World Cup. But before we get to the
World Cup, before it starts before a ball is kicked
in anger and excitement, we must first find out who's
playing who. It's the World Cup Draw, Baby US a
show like no other, and we're gonna break down the
(32:04):
numbers here in a minute for the World Cup because
we are hosting it along with our good friends are
top At Canada and our harachis Mexico. So's today is
the day that the US will find out who they're playing?
Will there be as they call it, a group of death?
Is it possible?
Speaker 17 (32:24):
Forty eight countries are going to be in the twenty
twenty six World Cup.
Speaker 8 (32:27):
It's the most ever.
Speaker 17 (32:28):
So this is a bit of a different format and
process they've used before.
Speaker 8 (32:31):
Again, we know who forty two of the countries are already.
Speaker 17 (32:34):
There are still playoffs to come for the final six spots,
so those are a few months from now.
Speaker 8 (32:38):
But the draw is going forward.
Speaker 17 (32:40):
And the whole idea is to take these forty eight
into group them twelve groups, four teams each. Okay, so
you see that right here now. The way this is
going to work is they're using a pot system for
this draw. Four different pots that they're going to draw from.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
Okay, four different pots. Part A, B, C, D, Okay,
so you got four different pots in this, Like again, America,
we're putting this on. It's happening here, so you know
it's going to be an event. You've seen everything from
people reaching into like you know, those really neat bags
and they're pulling out a numbered ball and it's okay,
you're in Pot A, Pop B. That kind of thing.
(33:20):
So this is going to be interesting. And we've expanded
the World Cup to it's forty eight teams.
Speaker 17 (33:27):
And this is the twist here that actually works to
the US's advantage because the usu SEE is in Pot one,
so is Mexico, so is Canada. These are the three
host nations for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 8 (33:37):
They're automatically put.
Speaker 17 (33:38):
In Pot one. Who else is in Pot one? What's
the best teams in the world. Spain is the top
ranked team in the world right now, neither all the
other highest ranked teams.
Speaker 8 (33:47):
That's Pot one. That's how they're working this.
Speaker 17 (33:49):
Pot two is the next highest ranked group of countries.
Pot three the next highest after that. Pop four are
the lowest ranked teams in the world, plus those playoff
teams that we haven't really got to yet.
Speaker 8 (34:01):
We will in a few months now.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
All host teams are in the first pot, right, Like,
you could be one hundred and fiftieth ranked, but you're
hosting the World Cup and you're still in the top
ranked tier because the goal is to make sure, especially
with the host, to make sure they get through to
the second round at least.
Speaker 17 (34:22):
So these groups are being set where you're gonna have
one team from Pot one, one team from Pot two,
one from Pot three, and one from Pot four.
Speaker 8 (34:30):
And they've already announced that the host.
Speaker 17 (34:32):
Countries Mexico will be in Group A, Canada in B,
United States in D and then all these other teams
from Pot one will be assigned to different groups.
Speaker 8 (34:42):
What does that mean. It means the US and Canada.
Speaker 17 (34:45):
And Mexico for that matter, cannot be matched in group
play against the top teams in the world. The US's
group will have one team from here, one team from
Pot three, one team from Pot four. It will not
have any of those top ranked teams in it.
Speaker 8 (35:00):
Oh, maybe a bit of an advantage there. It's good
to be the host.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
It is good to be the host. And we're going
to into it a little bit later in the show
on what the potential could be for US because while
they're not the top ranked teams the way that we
would think Germany and Spain. Pot two has a ton
of the best players in the world, and Pot four
(35:25):
may have some of the highest ranked teams. It's gonna
be crazy. I'm excited. Three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benon Show. Is
your extra instant YouTube and more? I know I'm silly,
but that's what you get here on the Chad Benson Show.
Coming up, our number two of the program, new poll out.
We're just talking about the young and all of this stuff.
(35:46):
What do they think, how do they feel about the media,
about the economy, about the country itself. We're going to
discuss that. We've also got our buddy Zach Abram, Chievestment
Officer BULLWARKAPL. We're going to talk to about jobs, the
economy itself, the market itself and kind of get a
preview of twenty twenty six and where we might be headed.
(36:09):
Plus Australia's decided no social media Fronder sixteen. How will
they enforce it? That'll be interesting and the most mispronounced
words this year. That's all straight ahead and now were
number two Chad Benson show.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
The youth of America. We're talked about it the other day.
The largest voting block, massive voting block. Many of you listening,
many of you you've got kids that fall into that
voting block, maybe their gen z, maybe they're millennials, your
(37:21):
grandkids things. You guys get where I'm going. This is
a younger generations. Why we do the urban border of
the day. We want to get you guys to understand
the linkup. And we're talking last hour about the whole
you know, Candice Owens and Turning Point USA, and everybody's like,
oh my god, it's it's a Candice Owans is destroying
the Republican Party. And first of all, the Republican Party
doesn't exist anymore. It doesn't. It's maggot, it's not the
(37:44):
Republican Party. There are very few Republicans left, actual constitutional
conservatives who want to shrink government or at least delay
the growth, slow it down, and actually get spending back
in life. Those people they're so and they're like so yesterday,
(38:07):
But the younger generation is not what everybody thinks. Everybody thinks,
and you know how I know this because I talk
to them. In fact, I'm hoping next Friday we're gonna
try something out in which we're gonna have a couple
of gen z ers on kind of like a get
(38:31):
a feel of what's going on in the world of
gen Z, what's going on in the world of the youth,
what do they really feel like? And they're not political people,
That's the first thing I said. I want people that
have understanding what's going on out there, but I don't
want politics to be their thing, because then you know,
it's you become an Ideologust the first of all, if
(38:51):
you're twenty something and you're in your early twenties and
you're working and caring about politics, what's wrong with you?
Why you say that? Oh didn't you yet? Did I
pay attention? Yes, but it was not top of mind.
I mean, I loved politics, but it wasn't you know.
(39:13):
I was playing soccer, that I was doing radio, was
doing voiceovers, I'm chasing girls, I'm having a good time.
You know, it wasn't the thing. So we're going to
talk to them. But the reason I bring it up
is because they are a massive voting block and they're
not singular. Yes, there is a generation there's a gender
gap between the left, especially women uber progressive and men
(39:33):
going more conservative. But there's a lot of them that
will vote their ticket. If you will is Oh, I
like Trump, but I also like this person on the
left over here in my state. Oh, and I like
this person on the right of right. They're not this,
you know, monolith, just I am choosing this down the line,
(40:00):
but they do have opinions.
Speaker 21 (40:01):
Interesting newpolling from Harvard's Institute of Politics shows that a
majority of young Americans pretty gloomy about their future as
well as the country. Thirteen percent those survey between the
ages of eighteen and twenty nine say the United States
is headed in the right direction thirteen percent fifty seven percent,
as you can see, say wrong direction. I would summarize
this poll as bleak house or something like that.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Bleak house. Bleak house. Now, this is a Jordan Schwartz
of Harvard, right. He's a political professor there, and he understands.
He gets it.
Speaker 22 (40:41):
The results across the board, from faith in the country
being on the right track, to attitudes on political violence,
trust and institutions, parties, and even each other, really show
that young Americans are in a very dangerous and precarious
position right now, deeply dissatisfied with the way the world
is struggling with finances and hopeful for a solution, but
(41:01):
not seeing one ahead of them anytime soon.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
That doesn't sound good, does it. It's a little black
pilled right, nihilistic, you could think in some ways, and
I don't think it's as nihilistic as that. Where you know,
when we talk black pills, so you guys understand your
red pilled, black build and a red pilled you've essentially
gone to the right. Black pilled is you're just a nihilist,
(41:26):
you hate everything, you're an anarchists. It's not that, but
there's no doubt that it's bleak. Like we've done that
study in the story a few times have last, you know,
a month or so about young women like want to
leave this country, they want to bounce, they want to
leave this country. So it isn't just because oh, you know,
(41:50):
I want to go find out what you know an
Italian man, It's like there's a lot of things that
are upset about. So yes, you know what, I get it,
I get it, trust me, I do. And it's important
because you've got to be able to reach the youth
of America.
Speaker 21 (42:05):
And how does artificial intelligence, this advertised transformational technology fit
into this array of anxieties.
Speaker 22 (42:14):
Absolutely so, if we consider this baseline where forty three
percent of respondence in our poll are struggling financially or
barely getting by, that's sort of this level of present
economic anxiety. But it goes so much further than that,
because it also goes into the future as well, And
these future concerns could not be more obvious than in
the case of AI, where by three to one margin,
(42:35):
young Americans are more likely to believe that AI will
take away opportunities than create them. And I think this
is part of a much larger trend among Americans. You know,
we're looking at the future and we have no idea
what it holds, with artificial intelligence threatening to shake up
the job market, potentially take away jobs, potentially help, but
really leaving us in a situation where we don't know
what's going on. That's really disturbing for a lot of
(42:57):
young people who are just trying to figure out where
there are places in the world in the years moving forward.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
And that's a big fear when you when you're already
you could think about these especially a lot of these
new college graduates. They lived their formative ish you know,
like high school years, you know, the eleven twelfth grade,
potentially through COVID, they graduate, they take out, you know,
go into college, come out. Now they're coming out in
(43:25):
a crappy down market when it comes to jobs and
a situation where they're looking out there right now going okay,
not only is it slowing down jobs wise in a
regular situation. Now I've got to compete with AI and
they're worried about it. That's understandable. I didn't have to
(43:46):
compete with AI. I did neither did you now In
my business, and we've talked about it here on the show.
The AI replacement, if you will, has been here forever
in a day, and it's you know, you guys are
listening to me all over the country. That's syndication, and
you know it's these things have happened in other industries,
but not like this. We're talking about replacing it potentially
(44:10):
the first or second step in you know, on the
ladder to getting your career going for a younger generation.
You know, it was always the older middle management, upper
middle management they tried to squeeze out. Now they're like,
now we'll keep them and we'll get rid of these people.
Speaker 21 (44:28):
So one of the interesting questions you have is what
do you view as a survey participant as a source
of strength? And I want to go down the answers
thirty two percent colleges and universities control whom we can
bring that up. Third twenty three percent, immigrants, twelve percent
Democratic Party, nine percent Republican Party. Oh great, look at
(44:48):
this six percent mainstream media. I are one in that category.
That's great Harvard addiction for you and grammar. So that's
not a lot of strength for those to look for
to either encourage them about the future or give them
a sense that they've got someone to rely on in
the near term.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Do you hear those numbers? Democrats twelve percent, Republicans nine
But the media, I mean, goneriea is more popular because
it's least it's fun to get gonoiheah. They are honest
and frustrated and you know, and we're going to talk
(45:30):
to you our buddies, Zach Abraham, chie Vestment officer. But
we're capital coming up in a little bit. But things
that he and I have talked about in the past
is you know, people want to make this a class fight.
You know it's not. It's a generational fight right now
from a lot of people that I hear from that.
You guys will text me and tweet at me. You're
doing great, right, You're like, I'm sixty seven, my wife's
(45:52):
sixty five. We're retired. We've paid off her house, you
have a small mortgage left, You've got god knows how
much money in investments and other things. You're drawn off
your retirement. You're stoked where the market is. And they're
like these young wicker snappers. Although you don't sound like that,
you get where I mean. They're frustrated. I said yesterday,
(46:15):
you want to know what the millennial and the Jenna
Alpha and gen Z are. They're going to be the
I can't wait for my parents to die generation so
I can get the American dream. The transfer of wealth
(46:38):
will be awesome. But that ain't coming tomorrow. Kids are frustrated,
kids are pissed, kids are angry. There's a reason, no,
it really isn't. And this has been one of the
themes across the pole.
Speaker 22 (46:54):
You know, many of the times when we run this,
we spend a while going through the data and we
try and come up with ten or so big headlines,
and they'll go in all sorts of different directions. And
this fall poll, of all of the ones that I've
been a part of, has truly been unique because across
every headline we've come up with, every data point we've researched,
the fact remains that young people are really disillusioned, really distrustful,
(47:15):
really dissatisfied. The one I'd say bright point of light
in this poll in terms of trust is when we
asked a question about trust in various people and institutions.
When it comes to vaccine information, young people actually did
display a high degree of trust in doctors and scientists
and researchers. But beyond that, politically speaking, especially trust remains
(47:35):
extremely low.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
There you go extremely low generation. The race to capture
the generation is on, and both parties are failing them
and they have to do their part. Can't have it
handed to you, but you understand the frustration. And when
(48:00):
you hear them talk about, oh, next year, the midterms
and the Republicans are being sold out. And when you
go and tell everybody affordability is a myth. When you
tell everybody that it's all a hoax. They say, you're
not listening to me. And if that's the way you feel,
(48:21):
I'll take my votes and go elsewhere. At Chad Benson

Speaker 2 (49:53):
Luigi Mangionee in court and it's going to be interesting
on what happened. So if you guys remember it was
a year ago, I believe it was yesterday that he
allegedly shot and killed Brian Thompson, CEO of United Healthcare.
And of course then there was a man hunt and
they got him at a MacDonald's and they're trying to
(50:15):
get evidence tossed out.
Speaker 23 (50:17):
Exactly one year after the assassination style killing of United
Healthcare Chief executive Brian Thompson on a New York City street,
we are hearing the nine to one one call from
the manager at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 5 (50:28):
I have a customer here that some other customers were
suspicious of that he looks like the CEO shooter from New.
Speaker 23 (50:35):
York after customers say they spotted a man who resembled
the suspect captured on surveillance video.
Speaker 19 (50:41):
Is this individual still there, Yes, he's fill in the
back of our lobby by the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
So so you guys remember all of that. Mean of course,
and then they came and they arrested him there and
they're trying to get everything thrown out, and it is
going to be interesting because they're like, well, how can
they get it thrown out? It's the backpack, which is
where everything was, the gun, his writings, all of the stuff, right,
(51:08):
the key evidence, the smoking gun, and the debate on
whether or not they had the right to go into
his backpack because we'd heard everything from they thought he
had a bomb, but yet everybody kind of just wandered
up to him. Nobody cleared out the place. It was
very casual. If you have a bomb or you think
there's a bomb, it ain't going to go that way, right.
(51:29):
People are like, oh my god, no, it wasn't like that.
Speaker 24 (51:33):
The biggest takeaway is is we got some new information
that detailed that he may have indicated to officers that
he didn't want to speak to them. That's important because,
as we know, we always are looking at when did
the custody start, at which point where they required to
provide his miranda rights to him, and at what point
are they allowed to search his bags? Those things are
determinative of whether or not the search and the statements
(51:55):
were lawful.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
That is very interesting because if they you know what,
do always say, measure twice, cut once, and did they
not do what they were supposed to three two, three, five, three, eight,
(52:17):
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show as your
extra instat YouTube and more. We love hearing from you
right here on the Chad Benson Show. Did they act early?
Did they do something enough to give the judge the
reason to throw out some of the evidence all of
the evidence. And why it matters is we're in the
(52:39):
midst of a healthcare issue and battle right now, and
so this is going to become a bigger story as
it moves on because of the cost of healthcare. Meanwhile,
in court still Trump Department of Justice, so call me,
(53:01):
we know what happened. Letitia James remember they went after
her and it went sideways as well because measure twice
cut once.
Speaker 25 (53:12):
What we know from our sources is that the charges
were presented and that the grand jury return what's called
a quote unquote no true bill, meaning that they didn't
return an indictment. It's an extraordinary rebuke by average citizens
of DJ's attempt to bring these charges against James.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
Now, Letitia James. I think the charges are ridiculous, but
she's not a sympathetic figure because she did go after Trump.
She made it her mission to go after Trump. That
was part of her getting elected when she was running
to go after Trump. But again, you went after and
(53:53):
it looks like you failed. They can go and try
again at a different grand jury, but how many times
are you going to do that? Who's going to do it?
Continuing to come up short measure twice cut once. Get
some damn competency coming up. Our buddy, Zach Cabram, Chief
Mestment Officer, Board Capital. We're gonna talk about the jobs, recession,
(54:14):
all of those things, straight ahead, Chad Benson.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
Chat, then Chad Benson Show, The Chat Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
There's that time. What do we talk to our man,
Zach Cabram, Chiefsment Officer Board Capital, talk about politics of
finance and the finance and politics, and dude, we got
to start with the jobs. I mean the numbers. They
can call it a hoax and do all the stuff,
but we stop being asking us. Man, this is not
(55:00):
a good look. No, And it's interesting.
Speaker 26 (55:04):
I was actually we actually had a conversation about this
on our podcast today and then more offline because personally,
what I think is happening is this. I think that
if you don't want to lose more jobs. Now, when
we say recession, we're talking about negative GDP prints two
quarters in a row.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Right, So.
Speaker 26 (55:26):
Because of the spend that is going on in AI,
and because the government is running seven percent deficits, GDP
is still growing at three percent.
Speaker 2 (55:34):
Well, if GDP is growing at three percent, why are
you losing these jobs?
Speaker 18 (55:38):
Right?
Speaker 26 (55:38):
People go AI. I'm like, guys, AI is not taking
jobs yet, not in a meaningfuly. It's hitting the tech world.
But you got to the tech world is a microscopic
percentage of labor in the economy, right, and quite honestly,
it has not even there like oh, twenty thousand jobs.
And guys, they have one hundred and seventy thousand employees.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
That's it. That's meaningful. But it's not like they're rinsing
it out right.
Speaker 26 (56:00):
I think that what we're starting to see, Chad, is
I think that we are starting to recognize and we're
starting to see the impacts of the corner that we
have painted ourselves into. Meaning, should we cut rates here?
By all rights, No, we doesn't meet the criteria. It
doesn't do anything like that. You know, But when you're
this loaded down with debt, I don't know, I don't know.
(56:25):
I don't think you have another way out.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
I think the option is we either run hot at
four to six percent inflation, which isn't going to be fun,
or you go into recession and you lose jobs.
Speaker 26 (56:36):
I just there's no slack in this economy. You know,
we were looking at retail sales dat.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
I don't know if you saw that that came out
there today, everybody's pied piper. Oh, retail sales are so good.
Retail sales up seven percent.
Speaker 8 (56:47):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
What they didn't tell you is volumes are down one Yeah.
So that's inflation, that's all it is. That's price go up.
They didn't sell more stuff, they selled less. They sold less,
so and everybody's missing it. It's like we have been dealing.
Deflation has been the threat for so long it has
been kind of amusing if it wasn't damaging. And I
(57:09):
don't think it's amusing, but I'm just saying, if it
wasn't so damaging, it'd be amusing, because nobody can wrap
their head around inflation. And I think even Trump to
some point, you hear everything he says, and you're like, Trump, Donald,
if you do that, that's going to jam inflation backup.
But having said that, we've always known, and you and
I have talked about this before. When countries get in
(57:32):
our place, there's only one route, and they're going to
inflate their way out of it. And so I fear
that that's where we're at.
Speaker 26 (57:40):
Where we are at a point where, look, if you
don't want to cut rates, you're going into recession. And
if you do cut rates meaningfully, inflation and home prices
are going higher.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Crazy. Talking to Zach ABMGS min Officer Bollet Capital, you
know the R word, the other R word that Trump
doesn't use, which is recession. You know, you watch him,
You know Lutnik and all of these guys. Affordability is
a real thing. But it's also a generational thing. You're
sixty five, you're sitting on two or three million dollars,
(58:12):
your house is paid off, You're getting, you know, one
hundred and fifty grand out of the market every year.
You're stokes with the way everything's going. You're thirty, you
can't buy a house. You live with two roommates and
your fiance. You guys aren't having kids anytime soon, and
both of you have one hundred thousand dollars in debt.
And it is a generational feel in this. And I
(58:33):
fear as I watched the Republicans and I heard Tim
Burchet yesterday from Tennessee say, look, our messaging problem is bad,
and we need to be honest with what's going on.
And I fear they're not going to be honest, and
they're going to continue to gaslight people. You know, I
couldn't agree with you more.
Speaker 26 (58:52):
And I think the whole thing should be Hey, guys,
we are still America. We are bad mothers. We can
get this thing. But we got a problem on our hands,
and here's how we're going to address this.
Speaker 18 (59:03):
Right.
Speaker 2 (59:04):
I think it takes outside the box thinking.
Speaker 26 (59:08):
I think it's going to take, but but we've got
to have different kind of thinking. We cannot address this
with any like we've addressed anything in the past, because
when you think about economic problems we've had in the past,
it's all about prices being too low, right, And so
you watch them keep digging into the same toolbox, and
you're like, guys, we're trying to build a house.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
We're not pouring concrete. Okay, get rid of get rid
of the you know, the truck with the mixer truck. Right,
we don't need that.
Speaker 26 (59:37):
We need we need studs, and we need nail guns, right,
and they need to get creative. The other one was
I was listening to a podcast the other day with
a housing analyst on there, and she was sitting there
talking about her greatest fear, and she's like, I think houses,
the housing is.
Speaker 2 (59:56):
Going to drop fifty percent. Now, that is not gonna happen.
Speaker 26 (59:59):
No, okay, people again, people are busy fighting the last war.
But I but again, this is my point that I've
always made, which is, hey, guys, we talk about recessions
like they're bad things.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
They have one really big benefit. You know what that is?
They make things go down in price.
Speaker 26 (01:00:14):
Yeah, you know, And I yeah, I I sometimes you
got to let the fever break. Man that you you
do and if you and if you let people assign
mortgages again, it's gonna push housing hire you. You've got
to let housing come down.
Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
You gotta let it come down.
Speaker 26 (01:00:33):
And and we need to reintroduce to to American people, Guys,
if you want to go to heaven, you got.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
To go through hell first. Absolutely, you got to pay
the piper man. Talking to Zack Abrahm, Chiefsment Officer, Board Capital,
you look out there the market. I still feel there's
a bubble, right and and I think it is they've
thrown so much money at it there. You know, Wall
Street and Main Street are further apart than they've ever been.
(01:01:01):
You've got, as we talked about the boomers who have
fifty percent of the wealth, Gen X, who has thirty
percent of the wealth. Everybody else has nothing, basically, And
and you you look and you think to yourself, this
this just feels like we're getting further away. And there
is this bizarre world of it. It's not even a
class battle. It is a generational battle of everybody would
(01:01:24):
like to have the opportunity to draw money off the
market and not but the people that are thirty, drawing
money off the market, are borrowing off their four to
one k to pay their damn bills, and this it is,
It's untenable long term. And I look and I think, Okay,
what does the market look like? Yeah, I still think
the bubbles there, But what's the economy look like next year?
(01:01:45):
What do you think the market's going to do next year?
I think the bubbles bursting is at fifteen to twenty
percent drop.
Speaker 26 (01:01:51):
It's really interesting because I agree with you. And one
of the reasons I agree with you is we have
virtually no AI exposure our portfolios, and we have a
little bit on the periphery. We're up more than double
the market this year. Look, I've done this too long.
I'm not saying that to break. Okay, I underperformed the market.
Last year. We were up sixteen Mark was up twenty three. Okay,
(01:02:13):
I do not beat the market every year. To anybody
that says it, it's not what I'm saying. What I'm
saying is that is a massive break from the trend
of the past fifteen years. If you're a value manager
like me and you weren't loaded up on tech and
then more most recently, AI you didn't make money, You
sure as heck didn't keep pace with the market. Right,
(01:02:34):
We are smoking the market. And our only big tech
position is a five percent weighted position in Google, and
we own that. We bought that one hundred and forty
percent ago, right, And so we've trimmed it as it's
gone up, because it's because it's gone up so much.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
But our big hits. You know, I was telling you.
Speaker 26 (01:02:51):
We doubled our money up on American Eagle, bought it
six weeks ago, right after the Sydney Sweeney ad came
out because it was dirt cheap, paying a five percent
dividend with a pristine balance sheet. And you're like, hey,
if Sidney Swingey and Travis Kelcey start repping your jeans,
you're probably gonna sell more.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Well, they did.
Speaker 26 (01:03:05):
Earnings popped. We doubled our money in six weeks. There's
value plays all over the place. And this is you've
been hearing me say this for months now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Guys. There's a lot of money to be made out there.
It's just not where you're looking.
Speaker 26 (01:03:17):
Yeah, And you're buying a bunch of trash that is
so overvalued you're gonna get smoked and if you don't
know what I'm talking about, pull up a stock called
snow snow great company, big tech player, data centers, all
this kind of stuff, and they're incredible. Over the last
(01:03:39):
I believe it's four years, their revenue is up six
hundred and forty five percent and the stock's up twenty
And people.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Go, what's wrong? And I go, what's wrong? Is you
bought it when it was trading it seventy times revenue. Right,
it's the and look, guys, the same thing that happened
to Snowflake.
Speaker 26 (01:04:01):
That's the name of the company, Snowflake. The same thing
is gonna happen to Palante here. The same thing is
gonna happen to Tesla. If you're in Tesla, get out.
This is I have never seen a dumber stock. And
I'm a fan of Elon. Okay, Elon doesn't control the
price of the stock. Their European sales are down fifty
percent year over year, and they're flirting with an all
(01:04:23):
time high stock. Their earnings are now negative, revenues negative
over the last two years, and they're trading it over
two hundred times earnings, and everybody goes, well, it's the
robot and I'm like, you mean the one that they
don't have yet. They go, oh, yeah, we saw it.
We said, I go, did you notice it out of
cord attached to the back of it? Meaning it isn't
primetime ready.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Not even close.
Speaker 8 (01:04:43):
No.
Speaker 18 (01:04:44):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
And meanwhile, even if it is, guys you had, it's
got to replace the best selling ev in the world.
I mean, you know, Tesla's knocking out a million and
a half models a year or units a year, and
they're getting Remember we I told we were talking. I
was like, these Chinese cars are going to destroy them.
Speaker 26 (01:05:05):
Well, the numbers just came out. European sales are down
fifty percent. Get out of that thing.
Speaker 23 (01:05:10):
Get out.
Speaker 26 (01:05:10):
It's a roach motel now if it gets whacked. If
I could buy in a Tesla at four to five
hundred billion dollar market cap, I'd probably take a stab
at it. And the reason why I'd be a small position.
And as a value manager, it makes me cringe saying that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
But Musk can.
Speaker 26 (01:05:25):
Pull rabbits out of his hat, and if you get
me down there, I can see a way where the
company could make me some money. But taking a Flyer
at one and a half trillion in market cap and
two hundred and three hundred times earnings.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
That's a suicide mission.
Speaker 26 (01:05:45):
And the sad thing is is that valuations haven't mattered
for a really long time.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
And so you and I both know how this ends.
Speaker 26 (01:05:52):
You're gonna have a bunch of these four oh one
ks and iras that have gone up five x in
the last seven years, and they're going to give it
all back.
Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Yeah, oh what happens.
Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Talking to Zach A Ramchivesment Officer Board Capital, you and
I were talking pre show and you brought up something
I thought was hilarious and also simple. And I don't
know if you guys are aware of this, and I
know Zachi you speak to this as much as anybody.
You don't have to make everything so damn tough when
(01:06:25):
it comes to investing. It doesn't need to be that hard.
Speaker 26 (01:06:28):
And also you don't have to simultaneously expose yourself to
financial ruin because there's incredible opportunities out there that no
one's paying attention to. And to go to your point, Chad,
when you look at how I don't know if I
told you this, but if you look at the MSCI
World Index, right the S and P five hundred for
(01:06:48):
the world the United States, so we make up about
twenty two percent of global economy. China makes up like
nineteen or twenty. We're right there, right, Look at MSCI
World Index or fifty percent, China's three.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Then, people, why is that? And I go because it's
a bubble? Yeah? Does that make any sense to you? Good?
It shouldn't. It's a bubble. That's You're one hundred percent
right right? Why when I look at.
Speaker 26 (01:07:12):
Sea Limited, which is effectively the Amazon of Southeast Asia,
which we also own, growing at forty percent a year
last year alone, their net margins expanded one hundred and
fifty three percent, okay, forty percent a year annual growth.
We bought them at four and a half times revenue.
I flip over and look at Apple growing at seven
percent a year with fifteen percent margins, trading at ten
(01:07:34):
times revenue.
Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
I don't know, man, It just sometimes you can't win
for losing. You just smile and say, I'm not a contrarian.
I'm just somebody who's in common sense. Zach Abraham, chief
vestment Officer, Bull Capital. People want to reach out to you,

a hashtag factory and I can't get out the Chat
Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
Several of you text in over the last hour or
so because we talked a bit about this last hour,
the battle, and normally I don't cover these things, the
battle going on between Candice Owens and Tim Poole and
Turning Point USA, and it's again, I find so much
of it childish and very high school asque I do.
(01:10:35):
And it's also very you know, look, Charlie Kirk was killed.
And I've said this over and over again, Charlie Kirk
was absolutely one of the reasons Trump is back in
the White House. There is no doubt in my mind
(01:10:55):
about that. That being said, the conspiracy theories, the blame game,
all of it at times is it's it's a high
schoolish maybe a little entertaining. Tim Poole, who is a
big podcaster, he says, hey, we're gonna lose everything next
year is because of her.
Speaker 19 (01:11:15):
At a certain point, I'm like, Holy, we're gonna lose
the midterms, We're gonna lose the midterms. Then we're gonna
lose in twenty twenty eight. And it's because she's a
piece because instead of saying, guys, let's come together and
forgot to work together, she says the stupidest, retarded crap.
And now everybody's running around divided and broken for what reason?
(01:11:36):
For literally what reason.
Speaker 18 (01:11:40):
Is that? Really?
Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Why that the midterm is gonna be lost. No, if
it is lost, and again there's still time, it's going
to be because of the economy. It's going to be
because people felt they were duped over America. First, no
more wars, and we may get into a war and
maybe by then we are in one. And it's going
to be because a lot of things. Let me know
(01:12:04):
what you think. Three, two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chat Benson Show. Is your ex,
your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook and more? If you missing
new show, make sure you're red The podcast helps us
out right here on the Chat Benson Show. Coming up,
hour number three, last hour of the week. Lots of
stuff still to get to talk a little bit more
(01:12:26):
about the media, what's going on in the world of
the media and how you know. This week we talked
about rage bait. How rage bait is playing such a
role in all the things we see, but outside of
the rage bait, the reality is much different. We're talking
a bit about that. We got our buddy Jim Kennedy
Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research. He's going to join
(01:12:48):
the program talking about politics and pop culture as well.
World Cup draw DearS very excited about that. You guys
know that hour number three, straight ahead, chat the job.
Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Almost three years ago to this very same day, two
and a half billion people were watching Cutter. What was
going on the World Cup final?
Speaker 20 (01:13:52):
He loong, lonely walk walk on slo Montiel didn't let
start the game.
Speaker 8 (01:14:01):
He could finish it.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
Until shut pins of the LOLd champions of the World.
Since then, we've had the emergence of Leonel Messi to
the United States playing in Miami, hoping to win an
MLS Cup. Also, so many things have happened. But as
(01:14:27):
the years ticked by, we approach another World Cup and
kids this time it's here. Before we get into it,
I want to break down the numbers of the World Cup.
By the way, today's draw will probably be seen by
(01:14:49):
about seven hundred million to a billion people. Okay, well,
let's get to the numbers of the World Cup. It's
coming here, kids, get ready for for it. It is unlike
any other World Cup ever because of the size of it,
because there's three countries, may Go, Canada, in the United
(01:15:14):
States of America. We're hosting it. The game starts June eleventh,
finish July nineteenth. The first game where the ball will
be kicked in anger is at Ostadio as Tecai in
Mexico City. As Mexico will play somebody. That's why the
(01:15:35):
draw is happening today. And the draw, you say, we're
gonna get to that in a second. It's gonna be awesome,
right some of you may be listening to podcast, and
trust me, it was awesome. We're gonna recap everything on Monday.
But I want to go over the numbers here. So
it starts June eleventh in Mexico City and it will
finish on July nineteenth in New York City. I am
(01:16:02):
beyond pumped. Kids. We've got tons of stadiums. This is
something that is when I talk about the numbers. All
kidding aside, let's talk about the economics, the size of
it economics. Nothing comes close eight billion to nine billion
this cycle. Okay, it blows the Olympic Games away. The
(01:16:22):
super Bowl not even close. Kids. You make seven hundred
million for the super Bowl, that's nice. The Champions League
UEFA they make about four billion. But that's a season.
That's a long time, and it's it's it's not that same.
It's not a single event, right, it takes place over
lots of months. It is something that I don't think
(01:16:45):
people even realize the footprint, the size, the scope. You
could put the winter in summer Olympics and the super
Bowl together and you just like, eh, whatever, we don't
even talking about the World Series. F one doesn't even
come close. Now, let's talk about how many people watch. Again,
(01:17:08):
I'm a numbers guy. Last World Cup cumulative viewers almost
everybody on the planet, about six billion people. The final,
which you just heard at the beginning of the segment,
one point five billion people watched. The final peak was
(01:17:29):
two billion, so remember when they did. They're doing that average. Okay,
let's compare it to other things. The Woman's World Cup
final two hundred million, the opening ceremony of the Olympics
seven hundred million, Champions League Final about five hundred million,
Super Bowl about one hundred and twenty five to one
hundred and fifty million, Cricket about four hundred million, and
(01:17:51):
the Grand Prix and Monaco about thirty million. There is
nothing else broadcast, right Golden goose, as they call it,
the shoe, amount of money that pours in sponsorship, tickets, hospitality,
all of the things are there now. Today is the draw, Okay,
So the draw is something This is different than ever
(01:18:12):
before because there's now forty eight teams, so we've not
had this before. We have forty eight teams, and the
draw consists of pots. Yeah, pot one, Pot two, Pot three,
Pot four, okay, and then they put them all in groups.
So Canada, Mexico, United States, all of us qualify automatically
(01:18:33):
because you don't want to have a host nation not
make the World Cup. That would not be good. So
you've got Mexico and Group A, Canada and Group B,
and the United States of America in Group D. Hopefully
it doesn't stand for the Group of death. Oh, so
far forty two of the forty eight teams have made it.
(01:18:57):
So what they do is they'll draw from Pot three,
Pot three teams for the United States. Because the fear is,
here's the thing. You don't want South Africa. I believe
it's the only nation. I think cutter didn't make it
to the into the second round either. You don't want
(01:19:18):
to be that nation that doesn't qualify for the knockout rounds, right,
you want to keep going? And I'll bring again, I'm
having fun with this. It's a Friday, We're having fun.
It is the biggest event in the world going on
right now. So and you know, I'm hoping to do
a whole bunch of special things, including doing a bunch
of coverage throughout this the World Cup, just because not
(01:19:41):
only am my fan, it's just a massive story. So
let's talk about it. Who are are our fear is
we could get into the group of death. The group
of death? What does that mean? Every World Cup, every
major soccer tournament, there's a group of death where you've
got arguably three or fourteen teams that can win the
World Cup and they're all playing against each other. So
(01:20:04):
the way it works is, again we're in Group D.
So the first tame they're going to pick from is
Pot three. Okay, so Pot three has the likes of
Norway with Holland. If you don't know who he is,
he it sounds weird, but Holland is his name. H
(01:20:26):
A A l a n d is Europe's greatest goal
scorer right now. Oh geez, They've also got Egypt with Mossalah. Oh,
that would be awesome, the Ivory Coast, Katar, Saudi Arabia,
South Africa, Tunisia, who's Bekistan, Algery, Egypt, Scotland, Baraguay. Okay, cool,
(01:20:49):
so that we could potentially get one of those teams. Okay,
we're gonna get one of those teams, but hopefully it's
not likes of Norway. Then we go to Pot two.
Pot two has Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan and Senegal. Iran.
We always seem to get drawn with Iran, South Korea, Ecuador,
(01:21:09):
Australian Austria, not to be confused as one and the same. Now,
what could happen there? We don't want Morocco, we don't.
We do not want Morocco. And the reason is Morocco
got to the semifinals and they're firing on all cylinders,
(01:21:30):
so that would be ugly, right, So we want, and
these teams are ranks. Is the FIFA's got a ranking
the number one team in the world of Spain. We'll
get to them in a second. But we would like
to get like Australia, no offense to you get Ei
they like it, you know, maybe maybe equidable Sales, Korea,
Iran we always see. You never know. Then finally Pot four,
(01:21:51):
which is the lowest ranked teams except for the teams
that are in playoffs, which are European teams. And here's
the thing about the European teams that are in playoffs.
There are teams like Italy that could easily win the
World Cup. So this is going to be interesting. The
fear would be like we get Norway, right, and then
(01:22:14):
we get Morocco, and then we get Italy and you're like,
oh my god, now how are we going to do?
I think we're going to do well. I'm predicting it here.
Home field matters in these situations. There is something about
home field and having that opportunity is huge. I believe
(01:22:36):
we are going to get to the quarterfinals, and then
once you're in that position, all bets are off. You
just never know. We've got tons of young stars, we
have a bunch of kids, and we've got some veterans,
and we've got for the first time realistically a group
(01:22:58):
of players that are established players in Europe. Yes, we
had them in the last World Cup, but they weren't
as established as they are now, Like Christian pull is sick,
and we've got some players over there that I think
this is this is going to be good. So I
do believe we're going to get to the quarterfinals. Even
if we get into the group of death, I still
(01:23:18):
think that this is good. I'm just pumped. I'm pumped
about this because of the fact that we get a
showcase who we are in the world. So today's draw
is actually very interesting. The World Cup draw is being
held in You know, if you listen to this live
(01:23:39):
in a little while, and if you're listen to this
on podcast, shame on, you should always listen to this life.
But the way this is glitz and glamour. It's at
the Kennedy Center in DC. Trump's going to get an
award for I don't know, some sort of award. He
loves awards, so he's getting an award from from FIFA. But
(01:23:59):
it's going to be hosted by Kevin hart O. What
there's gonna be the likes of legendary footballer Rio Ferdinand
oh Eli Manning's gonna be on the red carpet. Canadian
Prime Minister Mark Karney is expected along with Trump, Gretzky,
(01:24:20):
Tom Brady, Aaron Judge, Shaquille O'Neil, everybody's me, Shaquille O'Neil,
Kevin hart. It is gonna be awesome, So I'm pumped
about it. It's the World Cup, YMCA, It's gonna happen today.
The village people are gonna be there. It's it's gonna
(01:24:41):
be a spectacle, and we brought out the village people.
So there's that three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, it's your ex,
your Insta, YouTube and more. We'll break it down fully
on Monday. I just wanted to have fun with that
because we talked way too much politics, all kinds of cays,
and we've got Jim Kennedy coming on a little while
to talk about the politics. So I thought, you know what,
(01:25:02):
let's go with the biggest story in the world, and

drone strike were still legitimate targets. Taking one for the team.
Speaker 18 (01:27:36):
That's what I feel.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Steelers, Donald Trump, not a shocker. Donald Trump, head over
to Google. Lions Cowboys, Ah, what a game. Other Cowboys
were going to win. They let me down. You know
who didn't let me down? Their kicker. Have you seen
that guy? He has known nothing about the kicker.
Speaker 9 (01:28:01):
He is.
Speaker 2 (01:28:04):
A weapon. Like that's the best way to describe the
guy is like get the ball to Oh, you know,
are forty and I might be able to make a
field goal. I mean, just a weapon. Lakers Raptors, Ryan Cole,
Carrie Hi, Rookie Togawa. You don't know that name? Probably
(01:28:26):
if you saw his face, you would know exactly who is.
He's in about a gazillion movies, big movies, Mortal Kombat,
Pearl Harbor, Last Emperor, the Man in the High Castle
passed away yesterday. He had a stroke and he is
his voice. He was just amazing. I mean, Planet of

Pantone also trending. What's that they named the color of

of the things trending in the magical world of X

Excuse me, frankle Junior.
Speaker 5 (01:29:40):
Brian Cole Junior was arrested and charged with placing the
pipe bombs at the r n C and the DNC
on January fifth, twenty twenty one.
Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
There you go, Pampondi and she just useless. But whatever, Uh,
here's that's what we know about him. Nothing worked for
Bill Bondsman in Virginia thirty years old. I think where's
corrective glasses? Five foot six? No motive yet, it's kind
(01:30:15):
of what we know at this moment in time. I'm
sure the conspiracies are out there and they're figuring it
out for us all. So it's just again interesting. The
whole thing is interesting because that kind of went quiet
for a long time and then he asked her. They're like,
(01:30:35):
we got him. I'm like, were you looking for him? Well,
it was in a file. We went back to it
and we go, oh wait, we should probably go check
this out. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benton Show. Is your extra Insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and Moor coming up? Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of Public
Policy Research joints. The program we're going to talk about,
(01:30:57):
you know, politics and stuff. Chat Benson Show, Chad Benson.
Speaker 1 (01:31:01):
Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
It's Friday, so you know what that means. Can talk
to her abuddy, Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute at Public Ballacy Research.
We talked politics, a little pop culture off the here.
We're talking soccer. Draw pretty excited about that. But Jim,
I don't know if you're aware of this. You know,
we had an election here this week in Tennessee seven
Afton Vaine against Matt van Apps. Van Apps won, but
(01:31:48):
he didn't want to win by a lot. And if
I'm the Republicans, I'm nervous about the midterms. But I'm
nervous because I think before they get to the midterms,
a lot's gonna change. Because I have a feeling you're
going to see a lot of retirement announcements in the
coming sixty days.
Speaker 12 (01:32:07):
Yeah, there's lots of rumors about that, about that, about
those coming about the about some of the people starting
to walk away because they're for one reason or another.
Speaker 18 (01:32:16):
They're just kind of tired of what's been going on
in Washington.
Speaker 12 (01:32:19):
And from what I've seen, I don't necessarily disagree with
some of the things they've said or some of the
things they they run into.
Speaker 18 (01:32:26):
And how a lot of it is.
Speaker 12 (01:32:28):
We've talked about this before about you know, as you
coined the phrase celebrities and things like that, people aren't
necessarily We're not getting serious people in the politics.
Speaker 18 (01:32:37):
We're getting people that are looking to.
Speaker 12 (01:32:38):
Build a brand and get as much national exposure as
they can and maybe put out a couple of good
ideas that will get them even more exposure or get
them Sunday slots on you know, MS NOW or CNN
or CBS or ABC, et cetera, et cetera. So yeah,
that's not a good sign for America because I'm going
to guess the people that are leaving are serious people
(01:32:59):
and we need to we need more serious people in Washington.
I hope mister van Epps is a serious person. Seems
like I've seen the guy. You guys talk to him
him before, and I think he will be. But you know,
it is, you know, the times, as you know, the
times are changing a little bit in DC, and we'll
have to see where.
Speaker 18 (01:33:16):
It's gonna go. Because, yeah, the Republicans need to be
a little worried.
Speaker 12 (01:33:20):
This wasn't as you know, again, this is a special
election early December, not gonna get a lot of attention.
But you did get you know, she did lose by
basically about the district is an R nine or our
ten district. According to the numbers I've seen, Trump has
outperformed quite significantly.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Actually, you know what the numbers people broke it down
Anton and everybody else. Everybody's trying to make it seem
like it's an R nine, it's an AR this It isn't.
It's been a solid twenty plus for a while and
including Green winning before uh, you know, this last turn,
it's been pretty pretty solid in the last several elections.
Speaker 18 (01:34:05):
Yeah, based on the election results, it has been.
Speaker 12 (01:34:07):
But if you look at the voter registration numbers, they're
not that slant. And I evidently they're getting a lot
more interested Republicans turning out in those races, or maybe
they're getting some Democrats that are voting red instead of
voting blue. Don't know, but yeah, the district certainly has
the people running in that district have definitely outperformed what
(01:34:28):
the voter registration numbers would indicate. And maybe the voter
registration numbers aren't accurate. Maybe there's again some people that
have switched that haven't switched their.
Speaker 18 (01:34:34):
Registrations or something.
Speaker 12 (01:34:36):
But yeah, everything you are correct that everything I've seen
shows that those numbers that Trump was plus twenty four
and the last couple of congression election have been like
between plus eighteen and twenty or twenty two. So yes,
you are correct on that aspect. So I don't know
elections like this. You just never know their turnout elections.
I don't know if she helped herself with a lot
of the stuff that she got into in the last
(01:34:58):
week and a lot of the stuff that was that
was coming up because I got her national exposure and
it got some money coming in, but it also got
some money coming in on the Republican side. So I
don't know if that helped her or if it made
Republicans come out. Well, I really don't like her. Now
I didn't know anything, but now I'm going to go
vote when I may not have gone out and vote.
And I'm sure that the Democrats were probably already fairly
well motivated that did show up to show up. So
(01:35:20):
maybe you just drag some Republicans out that you weren't
that they were thinking to add.
Speaker 18 (01:35:25):
You know, the Republicans have this.
Speaker 12 (01:35:27):
I don't need to get up, you know, I don't
need to go out on a cold day in December
and go vote. Decided, Okay, maybe I do need to
go out and vote, and did, and that would help
make this a lot less because some of the numbers
I was hearing right before Thanksgiving were definitely under double digits,
and one of them was Another group was saying they
were looking at numbers that were basically van F plus five.
(01:35:49):
So there was some There was some concern on the
Wednesday before Thanksgiving on some of the just about the
final polling they had done on that race that made
it look like, you know, this could this, this could
go badly if the Republicans don't turn the people out,
and you know.
Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
Talking to Jim Kennedy, Kennedy ins to do of public
policy research it. They had to. You know, first of all,
the Republicans turned her into a star because they they
were the ones who made her national news. And Matt
van Epston to do it. And part of this was
his problem too. He didn't really put the effort in
(01:36:23):
the first, you know, once he got the nomination, because
I think he thought he had it and she was
out knocking doors. She knocked down one hundred thousand doors.
There's something to that. The other thing, though, it's at
the apparatus though, And I tell everybody this. They basically
looked at Matt and said, stand over there, we're gonna
handle this. We're gonna get you over the line, and
then when you get to DC, you're gonna do what
(01:36:44):
we tell you to do.
Speaker 12 (01:36:45):
Yeah, a lot of times you get those people in
those races for first timers. But I would definitely say
that she outworked him most most. Definitely, yeah, on that,
because yes, I mean that's all I was hearing about
was her knocking on doors and her and your community events.
And I wasn't hearing a whole lot about about him
doing a lot of community events and you know, and
she was, I, you know what, I think I follow him.
(01:37:06):
Maybe I don't follow him on Twitter, but I did
not see a single post from him. And after I
was posting every other day multiple times, she was always
in her car for some reason doing her posts.
Speaker 18 (01:37:15):
Maybe it's because because he's out and about, Yeah, campaign stops.
Speaker 12 (01:37:18):
Because I kept posting that, go, really do you have
to be in the car every time that I would
keep posting back to her, and but yeah, she was
definitely posting. She was definitely out there. She was, you know,
he said I'm going here, I've been here. Tomorrow, I'm
going here and here, I'm gonna go knock on doors
in this neighborhood and come with me in this neighborhood.
Speaker 18 (01:37:34):
So yeah, she definitely outworked them.
Speaker 12 (01:37:36):
And you know, I you know, it could have gone
a different way if that district probably isn't as red
as you know, again as.
Speaker 2 (01:37:44):
Had it not been jerrymandered for them, it would have
been perfect. The Republicans right now, though, they're messaging and
and Tim Burchett from Also Tennessee said, the best offense
that the Democrats have right now is the Republicans and
the messaging because we have no idea what we're talking about.
Speaker 12 (01:38:04):
I don't think either side does, to be honest, I
don't think either side can resend a good message on anything.
The Democrats want to talk about, for the most part,
a bunch of stuff that most voters don't really care about.
They do occasional air have now learned the word affordability,
as you know, as you brought up, you know, since
probably about middle of the middle of the year, and
that is kind of becoming the keyword, and that very
well may become the keyword or the key phrase or
(01:38:27):
the key issue for the for the midterms coming up.
Speaker 18 (01:38:31):
And the thing is, the thing is what's a key
word is?
Speaker 12 (01:38:33):
I don't really know what either side has going forward
as far as being able to show affordability. The Democrats
enemy policies that are that are looking at at cutting
other than more government subsidies for healthcare. That's not something
that is really making things affordable. It's just making things
keeping things from becoming more unaffordable. Trump continues to talk
(01:38:54):
about prices that are coming down, but a lot of
the voters aren't seeing it, or it's in areas that
the voters don't really they don't really perceive.
Speaker 18 (01:39:02):
It as coming down.
Speaker 12 (01:39:04):
Eight prices have come down, but you know a lot
of it is energy, like in California. You know, all
of the electricity rates in all the states are set
by states. The federal government has virtually no ability to
change energy rates, electricity rates, natural gas rates, gasoline rates too,
for the most part, are given by how much taxes
is added on to them, which is why California has
(01:39:26):
been about the first is the highest or the second
highest gas prices in the country.
Speaker 18 (01:39:30):
Because of gas taxes.
Speaker 12 (01:39:32):
And the way that we reblend or we blend our
fuels in California. You've got gas down in you know,
in the Tennessee area that's probably about two fifty nine
a gallon. We're paying right around four to four to
fifty a gallon for it in California, and that hits
a lot of people, as much as Californian's tribe. But
there's nothing that the federal government can really do to
change that, unless you maybe want to dump the patroleum
(01:39:53):
reserves like Biden did before the twenty twenty two bit
terms out there to the basically lower gas prices. But
even with the tax prices in California, that's really not
going to make much of a difference. So I don't
know what either side's going to do on affordability, and
that's going to be kind of what the voted I
think we'll be looking for, you know, Chad, I think
you might agree with that too, going into twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (01:40:15):
Yeah, well they don't. Here's the thing, like I keep
saying with the Republicans, stop telling everybody it's a myth
or it's a democratic hoax. People go to their bank
accounts and they see things you said, I'm going to
fix this. Day one, you said this is going to
change immediately, you said all of these things. Well, it's
(01:40:36):
now almost a year in and it wasn't day one,
and so far it hasn't been a year. And then
you're telling everybody it's a Democrat hoax. It's not. And no,
I don't think anybody expected you to come in on
a Tuesday and by Wednesday everything was fixed. But I
think what they did expect is you were going to
understand and have some empathy for what people were going through.
(01:41:00):
And you can't just tu you know, tout the stock
market because a thirty two year old who lives with
a roommate and his fiance is not buying a house
or having a child, and if they are going to
their four to oh one k it's to get their
money out to pay their bills.
Speaker 8 (01:41:18):
No.
Speaker 12 (01:41:19):
Absolutely, And you are right about the point about don't
tell you know, that's exact what Biden is doing.
Speaker 18 (01:41:23):
No, No, this is transitory inflation. You don't understand.
Speaker 12 (01:41:26):
Prices really aren't going up, and Trump's just doing, unfortunately
what Biden did and was a failure when the Biden
administration tried it three years ago.
Speaker 18 (01:41:33):
And it's a failure when.
Speaker 12 (01:41:34):
Trump tries to tell people this, But again, there isn't
a lot for many of these things they can do.
And to be fair, the tariff policy hasn't really helped
a lot of items either. No, it's made them more
expensive because the items have either gone up because of
the They've gone up because of the impending tariffs or
the actual tariffs, or because of the threat of tariffs.
(01:41:56):
In some price that has already been raised because of
the ship because they're worried about it being on a
ship up when the tariffs get implemented and they don't
want to be hit with not being.
Speaker 18 (01:42:03):
Able to raise the prices later on. So yeah, that
is a problem.
Speaker 12 (01:42:07):
The tariffs are a problem that'll get started out with
the Supreme Court decide Donald hopefully in the next ninety days.
I'm thinking, look, we're looking at for that. But yeah,
that's not a good thing. And we're going into Christmas
and we had great Black Friday sales, but we'll see
how the Christmas spending is going to be. We're supposed
to spend a record amount, just barely for this year.
But some people would say, well sure because prices are higher,
(01:42:29):
so not buying more actual goods. They're just spending more
money on the same amount of.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
Goods on that Oh did you guys see that we
spent seven percent more on Black Friday? Do you know
that per volume we were down, so we got less
but we spent more. And that is again it's the
economy will always be number one outside of a major war,
(01:42:53):
a nine to eleven thing, the pandemic, the economy will
always rule the day. And you can the messaging man.
You know this, Jim, how hard is it to come
out and say, guys, we're gonna this is going to
take time. And my analogy has been you don't wake
up forty or fifty pounds heavier than the day you
were before. So what does that mean. Well, that means
(01:43:14):
it didn't happen overnight. And guess what, it's not going
to get fixed overnight. But if we implement our plan
and stick to it, we can fix this. And instead
it's it's a hoax and you're like, Okay, you know
it didn't work for the last guy that you, by
the way, called out on this, it's not going to
work for you either.
Speaker 18 (01:43:33):
Yeah. For the reason you were elected because you said
you could fix it. And guess what.
Speaker 12 (01:43:37):
You're not gonna be able to fix it easily because
it takes time and there's a lot of things that
there's a lot of levers that are involved that are
not in your control. You can bring on interest rates, okay,
you can. You know, you can work on the FED.
You get the FED to do that that the FED
should be an independent body. You should be doing it
based on economic conditions. So if you save the economy
down to the point where you need to create where
(01:43:58):
you need a lower interest rates, then you can do it.
But then you generally are looking at not good employment
numbers to do that. So all these things have to
balance each other out. And if you get interest rate cuts,
that means you're probably going to be getting lower employment numbers,
which are not going to make people happy because unemployed
people don't buy Christmas gifts.
Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
No, No, Jim Kennedy. Kennedy is the public policy research.
Good talking to you, brother, We'll do it again next week.
Speaker 18 (01:44:20):
Thanks, Chad, have a good one.
Speaker 2 (01:44:21):

Fronting with Scissors sounds great compared to this.
Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
It's Friday. It's been a hell of a week. We
say that every week. Let's take a listen back to
the chaos, the craziness that was this week. Finally, it's Friday.
Speaker 6 (01:46:11):
You don't have a political agenda. My agenda is the truth.
And if truth is against your political agenda, then I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (01:46:17):
The biggest sign of fascism and authoritarianism is the war
on objective truth. For right wing people in America right now,
there's no such thing as an objective truth.
Speaker 5 (01:46:24):
Got around in the snow has been a little scary,
a little slick out there on a hundred dollars.
Speaker 8 (01:46:29):

Speaker 10 (01:46:49):
It's fine, and.
Speaker 11 (01:46:56):

it very confused the clean up crew now.
