(00:00):
This is the best of Chad Benson, independent thoughts, independent life. This
is Chad Benson. Inflation, borderissues, unrest around the globe. What
(00:29):
are our politicians doing about it?Nothing? They're fighting like children. And
I bring this up today to showyou what politics is devolved into. It's
high school pelebrities. That's what theycare about. So there's an oversight hearing
yesterday about Merrick Garlan and it doesn'tmatter what it's about. What happens is
(00:56):
everything. You need to know.MTG's involved. You should know that AOC
is involved. You should know thathigh school's involved. You should know that
what's expired. Does any other membersseek recognition? Miss Terry recognizes Miss Green.
I'd like to know if any ofthe Democrats on this committee are employing
Judge Mershawn's daughter. Please tell mewhat it has to do with Mary Garland,
(01:19):
Oh Goldman, that's right, he'sadvising. Do you know what we're
here for? You know we're here. I don't know what you're he for.
Well, you don't want to talkingabout I think your fake eyelashes are
messing up nothing order again, we'vegone to fake eyelashes. MTG loves to
(01:42):
make everything about herself. You knowI was. I was talking a couple
of people the other day about youknow that, about people like her and
AOC celebrities. I said, golook at their Twitter, following their Instagram,
all of the stuff. Understand thatthey represent a handful of people in
their districts, but they are muchbigger on the national stage because it matters
(02:06):
to them about being celebrities. Sowe're just getting started here. It's about
ready to really get gone. It'sa catfight of your committee order. I
do have a point of order andI would like to move to to take
down miss Green's words. That isabsolutely unacceptable. How dare you appears her
(02:30):
words down? Oh girl, babygirl? Oh really, don't even play
baby girl. And we are gonnamove and we're gonna take your words down
the second a motion inflation. Uh, battlefields around the globe, unsettled,
(02:53):
people looking to us to be theleader, are people to be the leaders?
A border that is porous, andoh, baby girl, you did,
oh I did. I'm gonna doit again. Miss Green agrees to
strock her words. I believe, hold on. Then after mister Perry's will
be recognized. I'm not apologized.I am not apologizing. Let's come,
(03:19):
come on, guys, why don'tyou debate me? The minority recogn're not
you're not. You don't have enoughintelligan every lady's words together. It is
a blank show. It's the bestway to describe it. And I know
I'm gonna hear from some of youMTG fans and some haters out there.
(03:45):
This is high school. This isbut but more than that, it is
it is a reality show version ofwhat politics has become. Which is it
is about me? It is abouthow I look doing things? Is it?
It is about can I get mypeople who love me, who want
(04:05):
to take selfies with me and wantme to sign things? Very can I
get them to love me anymore?Well? Chad, what was this about?
Again? It doesn't matter at thispoint in time. Nobody cares what
this is about because it's a dumpsterfire. This procket. You're not recognizing
(04:27):
car. You with one mom down, no, please calm down, me
to calm down down. How's y'alltalk? Conn? And then you were
out of control? It sure, okay, order chare now recognizes this green?
For for four minutes and twenty oneseconds, let miss Green talk and
then you all can I move tostrike her words for a second time based
on her second set of personal remarksattacking another member AOC is there giving as
(04:55):
good as she gets. You betterwatch out, baby girl. I remove
to move to remove, move, move those things that you said high school.
It's about the thing I've said foryears. It's about being a pelebrity,
a politician who's a celebrity. I'mrecognized. I'm gonna go ahead and
talking. Look, I know,I know. Look, I don't know
(05:17):
if you've noticed that I have twohere and as very daff I'm not understanding
everybody's yelling. I'm doing the bestI can. Can we not recognize miss
Greenon? Let cannot because of therules of the committee. That is what
I'm trying to communicate in the presentmoment. I'm so frustrated, but Alas,
(05:40):
this is what we have now, this is what we've gotten ourselves into.
And I blame social media on alot of this. You go back
twenty years, twenty five years, twenty four hour news cycle and is also
played a huge part in it andcable news, but so much of reality
(06:00):
television and the TikTok world and Instaand all that stuff. I I it's
it's ridiculous. When I was akid growing up, Mike, I knew
who most people don't even know whoyour representative is. How many of you
do Some of you, A vastmajority of you listening may recognize, oh,
(06:21):
this is my congress person from thisstate to that, but many of
you listening probably know the most famouscongress people out there, the pelosis of
the world, and you have adisdain for it. She doesn't represent you,
the AOC's of the world. Youcan't stand her. She doesn't represent
you. MTG, you can't standardyou love her, doesn't matter. She
doesn't represent you. And as longas we continue to talk about it,
(06:45):
given this and part of it isus because it's you know, it's a
dumpster fire we were gonna watch,I'm not gonna talk about it. They're
gonna continue to do what they do, and that is a frustrating three two,
three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three atch
had Benson shows your Twitter tweet atas text to program. Meanwhile, there's
a trial in New York City. Two weeks before the twenty sixteen election,
(07:05):
Michael Cohen said he called Donald Trump'sbodyguard Keith Schiller to get Trump on the
phone. Cohen testified he wanted todiscuss the Stormy Daniels matter and the resolution
of it. Defense attorney Todd Blanche, his voice rising, said that was
a lie. You did not talkto President Trump that night. Blanche said,
animated, you could admit it.Blanche punctuated each word, that was
(07:27):
a lie. That was the bigthing. That contention, the anger,
the fighting going on in the crossexamination of Cohen, most contentious day so
far. It was the most heatedmoment in the cross examination that we have
seen and by far the most substantive, where Todd was essentially yelling at Michael
Cohen to say you lied about theconversation with Donald Trump. He pushed him
(07:49):
to admit it, to say thathe was lying, but Michael Cohen again
stayed quite firm, saying, Ican't admit it. I did talk to
Donald Trump, staying calm throughout theexchange. Yeah, there was a bunch
of text messages that kind of contradictthat what does it all mean. It
means that it's stupid. We shouldn'tbe here. A lot of people thought
(08:11):
the defense was going to go youknow, we're not going to call any
witnesses. You guys have failed tomake your case. Your case is he's
guilty of all of these things, which leads this thing to a felony.
But to get to a felony, you have to prove that there was going
to be another crime committed, ofwhich you could not prove. NDA's hush
(08:31):
money, none of it is illegal. You've proven none of your case.
We rest our case, and that'sthe way it. A lot of people
thought they were going to go,but instead they said, hey, let's
go after Cohen and his credibility, which isn't hard. The defense had tried
to lad the groundwork to portray Cohenas a liar and pointed out inconsistencies in
statements he made about a whole lotof things, like whether he sought a
(08:54):
cooperation deal with prosecutors, whether hesought a pardon, whether he really wanted
a job as well White House chiefof staff, all to suggest that you
can't trust anything. Michael Cohen says, I think most people understand that,
and remember what the judge will say. If you don't believe what he's saying
here, you don't have to believeanything he said throughout the trial, so
good Times three, two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
(09:16):
to twenty three acts ad Vitz Show, it's your Twitter, A lot of
stuff to get to Harrison, butKerk still in trouble, but he's got
a surprise supporter. We'll talk aboutthat. It's Friday, so we got

(10:20):
Benson. You're listening to the ChadBenson Show. It's Finally Friday. Great
song George Jones. I don't knowif you've ever heard it, but you
can hear it now because we liketo take a listen back to some of
(10:41):
the sounds that maybe you heard thisweek, and some that may be a
missed and some that you're like,oh my god, what the hell was
that all about? And we doit with the great musical accompaniment of George
Jones. It's Finally Friday. Ilost two debates to me in twenty twenty.
It soundsime you hadn't shown up fordebate. Now exactly what you want
(11:05):
to debate me again? Has it? In Biden set a trap for Donald
Trump, and Donald Trump fell rightinto it. I myself would never recommend
going on the stage with Donald Trump. I'm not a hundred dollars walking in
my hole. I know what I'llsay. It did Burner's burning hold got
through my bucket in and do myskin. Come on morning, I'll be
(11:30):
It's fine. Free here, I'vedone my motor run. Wait again,
it's that's why you like Trump, because you benefited under him. Call the
(11:50):
other people. He's over three waysto Sunday. But I would venture to
guess that the majority of you aremost excited about your marriage and the children
you will bring into this world. It's fine, fine, it's fine.
(12:13):
I don't understand why people are nottaking him seriously. He's not going to
not stop being present. You understandthis. You're a professor, and they
are destroying the campus and undoing ademocratic, peaceful protest unity of fine.
(12:48):
So, as a Marxist feminist,I do gender abolition as the removal of
the systems and institutions that enforce gender. You don't need to fully understand the
nuances of gender identity or sexuality toknow that each person knows who they are
better than you, or will that. Sometimes people will open the door for
you and leave it open. Sometimesthey won't, and then you need to
kick that door down. The bestin show winner at the one and forty
(13:11):
eighth annual Westminster Kettle Club Dog Showis the Miniature Poodle. I am a
patriot. I am a strong andintelligent woman of color. I wonder whether
or not he shows up, becauseyou know, he also challenges me to
golf, so I'm a very goodgolfer. He can't hit a ball fifty
yards. I love you, Okay, I will make my day pal.
(13:31):
I'll even do it twice. Let'spick the Dace Donald. I hear you're
free on Wednesdays. Yeah, thereyou go. He is free on Wednesdays
and the rest of the time becauseof well, people who are in it
for themselves politically out to get anopponent and using the law to do so,
(13:52):
and democrats. I want you tohear this. I want you to
hear this. If you don't thinkthis is going to happen to you,
that's unfortunate. You're fooling yourself. You're fooling yourself. There was so much
craziness this week. We knew tosound solid. Later on in the show,
that's where you throw a lot ofstuff together that maybe we didn't get
to some stuff, maybe you missedit was Ara. You listen to this
(14:16):
and you're like, that happened ina week. Yeah, And there was
so much stuff I couldn't get in. I could have done this all day.
That's how crazy it is. Speakingof crazy. No boots on the
ground, but boots on a pier. Aid going to Palestine via the pier.
It's finally being finished. And thebig fear and worry is what if
(14:37):
we get our soldiers killed? Andremember this is the crazy thing Hamas,
who was lied about a lot ofthings. I was watching a maybe I'll
find it here in a little bita somebody in Parliament that's Britain for those
you know, give me school talkingabout the lies that they have told Hamas
(14:58):
and how the media it absolutely boughtinto it. You know, thirty thousand
people dead, Well, he brokedown what it really looks like and he's
like, those numbers are minuscule ina situation like this. Now. The
big issue obviously right now is famineand the aid getting there is important.
But it shows you again that Israeland America and the people who are on
(15:22):
the side of not Hamas, hasto feed the people that Hamas is supposedly
fighting with because Hamas won't do it. The amount of aid that has been
reaching Gaza has dropped sharply, particularlyfrom the south, where the Israeli Defense
Forces have launched an operation in Rafathat left the Rafa crossing shut down,
(15:43):
and only a trickle of aid iscoming in from the Karam Shalom crossing also
in the south. So that speaksto how significant this will be. But
according to aid groups, it willstill not be nearly enough to address the
need. But it is a step. Here's the you know, and I
want you guys to understand this. This is the need. There is a
(16:06):
need, but getting it to thepeople is the most important thing because other
parts of the country they're overrun withaid. But once again, getting it
to the people. And the bigissue about this peer is they've already come
under attack. And the nightmare thatthis scenario could pose for this president but
(16:27):
also for our soldiers is this They'regonna come under attack again. Do you
think the IDF in Israel is doingit? No, it is Iron's proxies.
It is a moss. The lastthing they want is people getting aid
and it looking like things are goingokay for them because it weakens some moss,
so there will be more attacks, and God willing, none of our
(16:49):
soldiers get killed, because if oursoldiers get killed, what's this president do
out of curiosity? What do youthink he does? It's going to answer
questions about more dead soldiers in aconflict we're not in, but we're helping.
That is a nightmare scenario for everybody. Three two, three, five,
(17:10):
three eight, twenty four to twentythree at Chad Bensons Show. Is
your Twitter tweet at us text theprogram. More fallout from Harrison Butker,
but he's got a supporter in avery surprising place. Yeah, we're gonna
talk a bit about that. Alot of good stuff to get to today.
Samuel Alito in the upside down flag? What does that mean? Oh
my god? It is the ChadBenson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
(17:45):
This is the best of Chad Benson, independent thoughts, independent life. This
is Chad Benson. What do wedo? I'm saying that right now,
(18:08):
right now, He's going to jail. Okakay, He's going to jail.
And it ain't nothing you can doabout it. Period. There's there's nothing
you can do about Okay. Okay, now you do you on media reporter?
Okay, So that's all. I'mI just want to make sure that's
okay, But you need to standupout from here, got it? Okay?
(18:30):
Okay? What is that that rightthere? Happened a little while ago.
That is Jeff Darlington. He's areporter ESPN at the PGA Tour event,
which is the PGA Championship, whichis the second major. Scotti Sheffler,
the best golfer in the world, was arrested today. What did he
(18:52):
do well? Something that was hedidn't do anything crazy. It wasn't drunk
driving, wasn't any of those things. There was aedestrian that was hit early
this morning in from one of theshuttle buses going back and forth from Valhalla
Golf Club. The pedestrian died.Scotti showing up for his thing, didn't
(19:15):
know what was going on, wastrying to get into Valhalla and well it
went sideways from there because they didn'tknow who he was. Entering Bajalla Golf
Club. This morning, we witnesseda car pull around us that was Scotti
Scheffler was in the car. Tobe very clear about the details here,
Scotty Scheffler has been detained by policeofficers placed in the back of a police
(19:38):
vehicle in handcuffs after he tried topull around what he believed to be security
ended up being police officers. Theytold him to stop. When he didn't
stop, the police officer attached himselfto the vehicle. Scheffer then traveled another
ten yards before stopping the car.The police officer then grabbed at his arm,
(20:00):
attempting to pull him out of thecar, before Scheffler eventually opened the
door, at which point the policeofficer pulled Scheffler out of the car,
pushed him up against the car,and immediately placed him in handcuffs. Yeah,
my lord, So he's the bestgolfer in the world. He is,
(20:21):
and this is a big story becauseit's you know, I mean,
he's not Tiger Woods yet, buthe's on his way to something great.
And he's also the most boring personas many people talk about, just had
his first kid. He's won fourof the last five tournaments. He's just
kind of a guy that goes abouthis business, very religious, and it
(20:42):
seems to be you know, ifyou're famous, and if you've ever been
to any of these things, youknow, whether it's what other sporting event,
there's police and people around security.I don't think he thought, oh,
well, I just you know,I'm going to go past these guys,
get don't carry. He probably thoughtthey're exactly what they are, they're
(21:03):
security, they're here for us,not knowing what took place till afterwards,
and then a cop attaches yourself toit, and oh. Scheffler was then
walked over to the police car, placed in the back in handcuffs, very
stunned about what was happening, lookedtoward me as he was in those handcuffs
(21:25):
and said, please help me.He very clearly did not know what was
happening in this situation. It movedvery quickly, very rapidly, very aggressively.
He was detained in that police vehiclefor approximately twenty minutes. The police
officers at that point did not understandthat Scotti Scheffler was a golfer in the
(21:48):
tournament, nor of course, thathe is a number one player in the
world. Yeah. Well, whetheryou're number one or not didn't matter.
But being you know, you justthink that somebody's trying to pass you,
and we're going to stop that. You can't come here, not that you
actually are involved in the event. So Scottie Scheffler detained the World's most Boring
prisoner three two, three, five, twenty four to twenty three at Chad
(22:12):
Benson Show, is Your Twitter?Keeping with the theme of religious sports figures,
Oh, Harrison Butker, what arethey going to do with you?
Because you spoke your mind out aboutthe fact that you love God, that
you think there are some things inthis world that are going on that you
don't believe in according to your faith, and you're a bad person because of
(22:33):
that. And the controversy is hugeKansas City chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker and his
controversial comments about women and the LGBTQcommunity. Not the deadly sin sort of
pride that has an entire month dedicatedto it, but the true God centered
pride. The advocacy group GLAD outraged. I couldn't believe it was such an
outdated, a equated view on LGBTQpeople and women. The NFL stating some
(23:00):
Butker gave a speech in his personalcapacity, his views are not those of
the NFL, as an organization. And yeah, he's allowed to have views,
isn't he. Some people want himgone because you had views that are
against the prevailing progressive ideas. Youbelieve marriage between a man and a woman,
that Pride Month is pushed on kids. And we can talk about all
(23:23):
that stuff, he said, andthat being a mother and is more important,
and being a wife is more importantthan being a CEO of a company,
et cetera, et cetera. Ibet if you had asked him,
is being a father and a husbandmore important of being an NFL player?
He would say, hell, yes, you can't do that. You know
that. And people want have gone. There is a change dot org petition
(23:45):
demanding the Chiefs release Butker. Sofar no comment from the team, and
despite the headlines surrounding this speech,Butker did receive a standing ovation. Oh
my lord, he did. Soare those people also bad? Yes,
So if you clap for something,if you like something on the internet,
whatever it is, you're also partof the problem. We demand that you
(24:10):
fire him. Shut up. Hedoes have somebody who is supporting him in
a surprise place, one of thehyaenas the head Hyaena, if you will
will be Goldberg from the view. The NFL released a statement that he gave
this speech in his personal capacity, and they do not The NFL does not
share his views. So listen.I like when people say what they need
(24:33):
to say. He's at a Catholiccollege, He's a staunch Catholic. These
are his beliefs, and he's welcometo him. I don't have to believe
him. I don't have to acceptthem. The ladies that were sitting in
that audience do not have to acceptthem. The same way, we want
respect when Colin Kaepernack takes a knee, right, we want to give respect
(24:53):
to people whose ideas are different fromours. I agree on per I was
never. Look, I was never. I'm not a fan of Colin Kaepernick,
mostly because he made himself a martyras if nobody would touch him.
Because of this, that and theother, nobody could ever have a conversation
(25:17):
around, you know, Colin Kaepernick, because he also changes views on certain
things. But as far as thetaking the knee, I never had a
problem with it. I mean,I may not have liked it, but
the beauty of our country is that'swhat we're all about. It's the same
thing here, and the blowback forpeople taking and it's it's risky in the
today's world if you're get to takea political stand, unless that's what you
(25:40):
do your political it is a riskything for sure, one hundred percent.
One more from woobee. We wantto give respect to people whose ideas are
different from ours. Because the manwho says he wants to be president you
know who, Yeah, he saysthe way to act is to take away
people's right to say how they feel. We don't want to be that.
(26:03):
We don't want to be those people. So I'm okay with him say whatever
he says. And the women whowas sitting there, if they take his
advice, good for them, they'llbe happy. If they don't, good
for them, they'll be happy indifferent way. Well, you don't know
if they'll be happy. That's that'syou're throwing it out there, is if
they're going to be super happy. You have no idea. They could be
miserable. They could take his adviceand be miserable. They could not take
his advice and be miserable. AndI don't know, like, how how
(26:26):
is it that Harrison Butker comes out, gives a speech at a small Catholic
school, gets a new standing ovation, controversial, and then it's like,
you know whose fault? This isDonald Trump because he wants to be president
and this and you're like, whatare you? How did you even get
here? I'm surprised they have andI'm sure they'll come out today. You
know, Scotti Scheffler was detained becausethe person was killed in a crosswalk in
front of the PGA Championship and Scotthe didn't do it. A bus did.
(26:49):
It had nothing to do with him, but Donald Trump three two,

What If I told you Imaginary FriendsAre Real? The movie If Imaginary
Friend Get It is expected to dominatethe box office this weekend. The film,
a mix of live action and animation, stars Ryan Reynolds. Written and
directed by John Krasinski. It's expectedto earn a healthy thirty five to forty
million bucks. The horror film TheStrangers Chapter one will likely come in second
(28:47):
of the new releases, followed byBack to Black. I Want people to
Hear my Voice, the Amy Winehousebiopick, which is not getting good reviews.
It doesn't look good. Actually, the biopic, it looks like it's
a made for TV movie. Iflooks awesome, kids want to go see
that this weekend. So Charlie inparticular, because she's five and it looks
(29:11):
like a movie that would be funnyfor us and a five year old,
Oh, I could see that. The age old question. Kids, we're
gonna answer it right now. Isit taco a sandwich or is it not?
And the reason is there's a debatein a town in Indiana over whether
or not you can open this tacoshop because you see, they don't want
(29:34):
fast food restaurants, in particular massivechains in their neighborhood. But this chain's
like, hey, look to maydo order sandwich. It's not like fast
food. And we've heard the debateabout whether a hot dog is a sandwich,
but is taco a sandwich? Accordingto an Indiana judge, the answers
yes, slippery slope right, andthey're ruling on Monday by a Superior court
(29:56):
judge in Indiana states tacos and burritosour Mexican style sandwiches. The case went
to court after a county commission stoppedthe famous taco restaurant from opening in a
strip mall. The neighborhood association andthe strip mall had an agreement limiting restaurants
selling only made to order sandwiches. It's a way to keep national fast food
chains out. The restaurant owner argued, tacos are Mexican style sandwiches, and
(30:21):
the judge agreed. The judge didagree. Good for them, they can
open up there a taco place.I have not had Mexican food in Indiana.
Been to Indiana. It's beautiful,Indianapolis, love it been throughout the
Midwest, beautiful. God's people loveit there. I will tell you this
last time I was there, whenwe went out had Mexican food. I
(30:47):
think it was in Cleveland, andthey're like, we're gonna get Mexican food
and said, I really don't thinkwe should. They're like, no,
we are, It's going to begreat. I'm like, the guys,
I'm telling you, I grew upmy grandfather is from Mexico, right,
I grew up in southern California.I live on the border. Please don't
(31:10):
and they're like, you're gonna lovethis. It was awful. It was
just now, I don't know howgood this taco shop is or isn't.
I'm just letting you know. No, let's let's go somewhere else. They
made it up to me because wewere in the part of the country throughout
Indiana and stuff, and you know, in in Ohio where we could go
(31:30):
to some of these amazing places toget amish like custom custard and stuff like
that was great. But don't youknow, I think the salsa was like
ketchup, Like this is this isno no. And my buddy who's from
Michigan, he eats his burrito withketchup, and I'm like, that is
(31:52):
a sin. Just let you knowthat. But maybe it is a sandwich
at that point in time three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at ChadBenson shows your Twitter tweeted a text
to program, there's controversy in theworld of Scotus. I know shaker,
right, Samuel Ledo, And thishas to do with an American flag that
was hung upside down after the electiontwenty twenty, and apparently they're saying,
(32:20):
ah, this is what the uhthe Trump folk do to protest set election.
It was an upside down American flag, a very controversial symbol really at
any time, but at this particularpoint it was being used as a symbol
of the stop the Steel campaign tooverturn the election. Why is it coming
(32:40):
out now because it was twenty twenty, didn't do it last week? The
question of whether or not one ormore of these justices, sir, biased
is a huge one. Yeah, well, aren't they all biased? Isn't
that the way? Because if theyweren't biased, and they were just they
(33:01):
weren't the progressive winging of the courtor the conservative wing, if they weren't
biased in the beliefs that they haveand how they interpret the law, then
we wouldn't have the fights that wehave when it comes to confirming them.
Oh yeah, that's interesting again,Why is it coming out now? Because
(33:22):
there's lots of big cases that arein front of them right now. That
concern Donald Trump, and the worryis that they're going to side up and
just because he's Donald Trump, they'regoing to pass them through. And that
right there, I think is abunch of crap. What he says is
that essentially it was his wife's fault. He said that she put it up
briefly and that it was in responseto a neighborhood clash over political science.
(33:47):
There's a neighborhood clash. What kindof neighborhood you live in? Handled the
old fashioned way drive vice. Yeah. No, it's not just that you're
not supposed to do things that wouldreflect actual bias. You're also not supposed
to do anything that would give otherpeople the impression that you're biased. It's
too late. If you are liberala Democrat, you already look at the
(34:12):
court and you think it's evil andmean and bad because it leans conservative in
your mind. If you're conservative, for the last fifty years it's been a
liberal court, you look and say, there are progressives and Democrats who are
all by and let's not forget. And this is something needs to be brought
up more and more when we talkabout Scotus in particular, a vast majority
(34:37):
of the cases that Scotus hears, and I do mean a vast majority eight
one, seven to two, lotsof nine o's. It is only the
emotional ones that people lose their mindabout what our mind. Everybody that one
(34:59):
of the bedrock rules of being afederal judge is that you're not supposed to
take part in politics. You're notsupposed to display signs and symbols, you're
not supposed to really do anything thatcould cause people to think that you're less
than impartial in a case. Thereyou go, But we already know that
that's no longer the case. Imean, we're joking about lawfare throughout the
(35:20):
shows over the last several months onwhat's going on with the likes of Donald
Trump and these hearings, but theseyou know, these if the frustration is
is you already know that they havetheir own beliefs because they're human beings,
and also because no, this judgeis conservative. There's a reason that people
judge shop when it comes to trials, especially when it comes to things like
(35:43):
immigration, abortion. They judge shop. What federal court can I go to
where I know they're going to besympathetic to me. It's not that it
is. It's the frustrating side ofthing. That's where we are. If
you're looking for people who are unbiased, don't look at people because the interpretation
of law. And that's what thisis about, is we're looking as an
originalist comparatively to how the progressive sidesees it, which is the Constitution is
(36:07):
an ever growing, breathing thing.Three two, three, five three,

independent life. This is Chad Benson. If I was to tell you
several weeks ago you'd rather be Kanyethan Diddy, you'd be like, what,
Yeah, Sean Diddy co Holmes puffdid he puff did it? There's
no doubt about that. If youguys haven't seen the video, don't watch
it. It's awful. In thesurveillance video from a hotel in Los Angeles
(37:07):
in twenty sixteen, Sean Combs isseen in a towel beating up his then
girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, chasing herdown a hallway, throwing her to the
floor, kicking her while she's onthe ground, dragging her across the hotel
hallway, then later throwing a vaseat her. The video was obtained by
CNN, and it matches allegations ofabuse from Ventura that she thought in a
lawsuit last year, a suit thatwas ultimately settled. Combs' team is not
(37:29):
commented on the video, but hepreviously denied the accusations. Previously denied,
Oh, I didn't do anything.Well, you know if a picture says
a lot so one of those things. You guys go back to Ray Rice.
Remember Ay Rice football player, Sothe NFL suspended him, I think
for a couple games for alleged abuseagainst his girlfriend who's now his wife.
Then the footage came out and heknocked her the blank out, then dragged
(37:52):
her across the parking lot in anunderground garage by her hair, diddy upped
it, and then he apologized. It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest
times in your life. Sometimes yougotta do that. I was fucked up,
I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I made no excuses my
behavior on that video is inexcusable.I take full responsibility for my actions in
(38:15):
that video. Disgusted. I wasdisgusted then when I did it. I'm
disgusting now. Were you really disgusted? Probably that you were gonna get caught.
So he whooped up on her good. She was on the ground and
he punted her head. I meanhe with the town on her. And
the only reason there's no issues withthis is because it's past statute of limitations.
(38:39):
Went and I sought out professional helpand to going to therapy, going
to rehab, had to ask Godfor his mercy and grace. I'm so
sorry, but I'm committed to bea better managent every day. I'm not
asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry. Well, I don't think you're gonna
get any forgiveness. It's just, man, that was just it was insane
(38:59):
and I'm thinking of my oh mygod, Kanye's like that guy's wacky.
So you got all of the stuffthat goes with Let's not forget. Was
it a month ago they raided allof his homes, took out like some
two hundred cameras, all the computerstuff, you could find everything because of
allegations of a lot of things, and then this comes out. I'm always
(39:19):
curious about why the video comes outnow, why now, Like it's been
out there for a while, obviously, who had it? Somebody waiting for
that right moment. And when theysay he settled with her, he settled
the next day when she filed thatlawsuit. I'm curious to find out what
she got. I wonder what shegot. I go back to ray Rice.
They suspended it for two games theNFL. That video came out.
(39:43):
He never played the NFL again. Will it be the same with Diddy?
He's no, he's not going toplay in the NFL. But will he
produce music? Will people want towork with him? That is, of
course he doesn't get in trouble forother things because we still have no idea
what the Feds have done and whatthey're looking for when they raided his house

(40:09):
a forested hill, the death oftheir president, President Ibrahim Raisi, Iran's
foreign minister, and seven others wereaboard the aircraft. Elected in twenty twenty
one. President Raisi was seen asa top contender for replacing Ayatola Komeni,
who vows after the crash there willbe no disruption to state affairs. Experts
(40:30):
are questioning how a transition of powerin Iran could affect a region already in
turmoil. Yeah, this guy wasa bad dude, sixty three years old.
It's called the Butcher of Tehran. He used to run their death squad
back in the day that he waskind of the judge and had thousands of
(40:50):
prisoners in the eighties, executed politicalprisoners. He has squashed ever since.
The young lady who refused to wearher job and they took her in,
she was like, what twelve orthirteen that you ended up dying in their
custody and they're like, she hadheart attack or whatever. She slipped and
fell in a banana peel and hither ad they any descent. He crushed.
(41:14):
And he was a big proponent ofall the proxies that help Iran push
their evil and hatred out their largestexporter of terror on the planet. Hated
the West. And now he's gonedead, and the question is who's next.
So the person that is the vicepresident essentially will will be sworn in
(41:38):
and I think there'll be new electionswithin two months. But you never know
what the next guy is going tobe like, because this guy was an
awful human being, but he wasat least a known commodity. You had
two of the people who were mostresponsible for the trouble that Iran has been
causing in the region there, aswe know, key supporters of the Huthis,
(42:00):
key supporters of Hamas, and keysupporters of Hesblah, and so all
of the region's woes and all ofthe instability are at least directed in some
way influenced by two of the peoplethat were on that helicopter that are no
longer alive. Several other people died, dignitaries and whatnot. How why why
did this happen? We know thatthere was a lot of fog in the
(42:21):
area. We know that they haddignitaries, very important people, which oftentimes
puts an extra at least mental burdenon the plast's true, they get to
get to the destination, and whenyou're flying in the mountains and you have
very low visibility, there's super helicopterpilots to begin to sort of descend and
try to get lower and try toget underneath either the fog or the cloud
(42:42):
layer. And they know that theycan set the aircraft down if they need
to, but oftentimes it leads totragedy. Yeah, because you're flying in
an area that is mountainous with fogeverywhere. And we all know that Jews
control fog and all of the weather. They control the banking, the media,
and the weather. You know, there's somebody out there going probably probably
(43:06):
probably somebody controls it. My god, just insane. So who will be
next? I don't know. Thisguy was like he was on the path
to be the next Ayatola, Likethey thought that highly of him, Like
he was going to be like DickieChief soon, like that was going to
be his gig, and now nolonger with us. Tuba's full of super
(43:31):
full of hate. Just want topoint that out to you, speaking of
things that are full of hate.Cohen's back on the stand. Prosecutors could
rest their case as soon as todayagainst Donald Trump. First, though,
Michael Cohen's going to return to thewitness stand here for a fourth day of
testimony. He's still under cross examinationafter the defense accused Cohen of lying about
a phone call he said he hadwith Trump in late October twenty sixteen to
(43:54):
finalize the hush money deal with StormyDaniels. Oh, oh, yes,
Have they proved their case. They'venot, And there's no case to prove.
Paying people hush money for a storynot to get out is not.
I mean, he should have donewhat the Clintons did. Right then they
(44:16):
have like a bimbo squad or bimbohip team. Not that they went out
hit people. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't, but that went after
tore up anybody who came for him, and then they ended up paying big
money, a lot more than onehundred and fifty grand. They've paid like
eight hundred thousand. Back in theday when I entered thousands. A lot
of money might buy you a onebedroom apartment in places like California. What
(44:37):
I love, though, is becausethis is a at best, a misdemeanor
at best. Let's not forget thatthe statute of limitations in a normal time
would have already passed, but becauseof COVID, we extended that if this
(44:58):
thing got to an appeals court. If it does, I think, at
best, I keep thinking they're gonnafind it guilty because but I think I
think it's gonna be hung jury andthat's not a win. But if it
gets in an appeals court, they'regonna look at this and then what are
you guys doing, because you stillhaven't proven your case, and that case
is to make it a felony, you had to prove that he was doing
this to do another crime, andyou have never pointed out what that crime

How about some more music? Allthe dim say that we should relet him?
How can he run when walking ishard? The jokey deep kein molle

joke. That's not very nice,Chad. He's with it this over the
weekend. I've heard a lot ofpeople talk about this. Uh, but
I want you to listen to him, because he was in Detroit talking to
the NAACP, talking to the mayor, talking to everybody, giving big speeches
and uh, you know, doingwhat Joe does. And I want you
(48:51):
to listen to what he he sayshere, because you're like and when I
was vice president, thanks for kindof bad during the pandemic. And what
happened was Rock said to me,go to Detroit, help fix it.
Well, poor Mary spend more timewith me than he ever thought he's going
to have to. When you werevice president during I want to hear that
(49:16):
again. You're vice president during whatand when I was vice president, thanks
for kind of bad during the pandemic? You were not vice president during the
pandemic? You were not. AndI just again, look, both of
these guys have serious issues. ButBiden talking about being vice president during the
(49:37):
pandemic? Are you kidding me togo along with his erectionism? These erectionists
there everywhere, excuse me? Sovery nice. President Biden delivering a fiery
speech the NAACP and the key stateof Michigan, taking the stage in front
of African American voters in Detroit andtaking aim at his rival, ask if
(49:59):
you thought Voce the cur if helost, he said, quote, it
depends. How could it be thatany American president cannot denounce political violence?
That speech was the second major stopSunday, the president also speaking at Morehouse
College, Yeah, they were notthrilled by that. We'll get to that
in a second. More from Biden'sspeech at the NAACP. My name is
(50:20):
Joe Biden, and I'm a lifetimemember of the NAACP. Matter of fact,
first organization I ever joined was theNAACP. Didn't get to vote to
your twenty one in those days, but I got involved in civil rights when
I was fifteen. I'm sure hedid because you've been everything to everybody.
(50:43):
Depends on where he is such apolitician, but his lies or spectac Yeah,
the first thing I ever did cameout of my mom's wound. Joined
the NAACP. Marched with Mendela andMartin Luther King at the same time when
I was arrested for sticking up people'scivil rights, just before we walked over
the you know, the bridge, and like, I don't really think that's
(51:07):
true, but let's remind everybody someof the things he's done in the past.
I was sort of raised in thePuerto Rican community, and I had
a very close relationship with the GreekAmerican community. For real, I am
Joe bidenopolist. I grew up ina heavily Irish Catholic community in Strant,
Pennsylvania, in a heavily Battalian Polishcommunity. I got raised in the Black
(51:28):
church. He knows. I'm notkidding him. As a student of the
Persian culture, I probably went toshow more than many of you. I
come out of the black community.Back on. My family was Irish American
raised in the endogonomy. Everybody intow is either Polish or Italian. I
grew up for myself conscious my namedid s Ki. That's right, That's
(51:50):
where I got raided. And thatjust little things he's done in the past,
All of the things he has beenmet. He is cultured, to
say the least. Speaking of it, he didn't give a speech at Morehouse.
Some students were not thrilled, notsome of them turned around during this
speech, but even before that theywere talking about it. The campus of
Morehouse has really just been been It'sbeen a air of confusion. I feel
like it's just a way to kindof get the black vote, in the
(52:13):
young vote and help his election becauseI believe he knows that less and less
people are in support of him, especially with his handling up Israel and power
sign and his banning of TikTok andthe aid that he is sending to countries,
and just the kind of economic stateof the United States right now.
(52:35):
Yeah, we got some fun stuffabout a game called do you know Guys
essentially coming up a little bit, which most people have no idea what's going
on over there. But the Ilike how they through the banning of TikTok's
a big deal. I'm not afan of his coming here for multiple reasons.
It looks very good on paper thatPresident Biden is coming to speak at
(52:57):
Morehouse College. It's considered very stigiouswhatever, but I think a lot of
the seniors are suffering because of it. As someone who has felt very weird
at this portion and time in historywith the tension and Gaza, I think
it's important for Biden to come withthe intention of wrestling with the issues at
(53:20):
hand. Yeah, there you go. So they were not thrilled. Some
of them were fine with it.It's the president. You should be honored
that he shows up and gets throughit. Okay, you don't have to
like the guy. Show some respectto the office. And it's all about
Gaza because that's the big thing, right and it is and and politicians will
(53:44):
be whatever they need to be andthis goes for both sides of the aisle.
So Trump comparing himself to Lincoln again, I just shake my head.
I sit there and think, ohmy god, this is where we are.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chat, Benson shows yourTwitter tweet at as texta program. If
you miss any of the show, shame you grab the podcast, make it
up to meet. It's the ChadBenson Joe, the Chad Benson Joe.
(54:20):
This is the best of Chad Benson, independent thoughts, independent life. This
is Chad Benson. It's time totalk about immigration. House Republican leadership says
(54:44):
the bi partisan border bill that theSenate plans to vote on this week is
quote dead on arrival if it comestheir way. But the White House says
it strongly supports the legislation and callson every Senator to quote put partisan politics
assigned and vote to secure the border. Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre says,
the my parties in legislation would deliverquote significant policy changes, resources and personnel
(55:05):
needed to secure the border. Howdo I know I can trust you with
it because you've got all of thethings you've needed to fix the border,
to secure the border. That's nottrue. It is true. And guys,
let me tell you something. Everyday that I go out, I
talk about playing pick a ball.I mostly play with on average, ten
to fifteen Border Patrol agents every singleday. Over the weekend played, there
(55:28):
was probably forty people in our groupplaying. I've probably about twenty of Border
Patrol agents across the board, someretired, some still working. Different one
show up each and every time Iplayed two weeks ago in a tournament for
the Border Patrol. They laugh atthis. It's a joke. If you're
not I don't care all the moneywe're going to change the you're not doing
(55:51):
the things now, and you wantmore tools. You're not using all the
things that are your disposal now andyou want more tools. No political cover,
that's what you want. Look, there's some things that are needed.
They need to take some steps. There's no doubt. How long does it
take to you even see a judge. Well, they're trying to streamline that
(56:12):
process. As it stands, itcan take four years from the moment an
asylum secret of rives at the USborder and the moment that an immigration judge
rules on the asylum request. TheDHS has assigned ten judges to handle reprioritized
cases with the goal of cutting thatfour years down to six months, six
months from four years. And that'syou're really like, that's a tough thing
(56:37):
to get it down to four years. But there's only a certain group that
that's going to work for. Thereare other places in the country Florida and
several other places where you're looking atseven to ten years for you see anybody
your life, you're entrenched here nowyou are immigration. You know, we've
(56:59):
talked about, Abe, Lincoln. No, the three things that are going
to drive this election from a nationalperspective. Obviously Ukraine, what's going on
in Israel is a big deal. But abortion, a border, b economy
(57:21):
e So Abe, those are thethree things that will be a driver in
this And if you're talking four years, but you wanted the bills, bipartisan's
the best bill ever, it's thegreatest bill. It's better than nothing.
But I go back to this andI've said it over and over again,
and both sides are we like youto put the partisanship. Nobody's gonna put
(57:44):
it aside. Nobody's gonna put partisanshipaside because it sells. We saw that
last week with the insanity of what'sgoing on, you know, in Congress,
to them fighting with each other. And we'll get to that a little
bit later, but they're never goingto put it aside, not at this
point in time, because partially becausewe're so tribal and we won't allow that.
(58:07):
And the other part of it isbecause you and I both know that
it's good for business. For them, it's good for business because you can't
come out and talk about it right, raise money off of it, become
a pelebrity. It's good for business. So let's talk about this because so
much of our national conversation, whichis not a conversation about immigration, is
(58:29):
driven by people who could not careless about immigrants because it's not a border
crisis, it's an imperialism crisis.Is a climate crisis, it's a trade
crisis AOC of course, it's aclimate crisis. What did I tell you
guys in the coming years, andI've said this for the last year,
climate change will be a reason forpeople to immigrate. Here, we're going
(58:52):
to talk about the Pope. Lastnight was on sixty minutes and ural O'Donnell,
you know, saw the hell outof it. But he also said
some stuff that I'm sure, Wellit's so funny because they're like he went
after the right, but then hetalked about surrogacy and things of that nature.
Oh my god, how could youdo that? It's the immigration problem
(59:15):
isn't going away. And you're hereillegally, You've crossed the border illegally,
you've taken advantage of, you know, of coming here and using urt,
knowing full you have zero chance ofstaying, zero chance of staying. But
when you hear what she just saidthere, I want you to listen to
it again throughout the climate crisis. What else. So let's talk about this
(59:35):
because so much of our national conversation, which is not a conversation about immigration,
is driven by people who could notcare less about immigrants. Because it's
not a border crisis. It's animperialism crisis. Is a climate crisis,
it's a trade crisis, it's animperialism crisis. It's imperialism. What if
(01:00:00):
we're so bad, why are youcoming here? I don't run at the
bear if the bear is hungry orprotecting their cubs. It's a bear crisis.
Run at the bear, and theywant to say, what about the
surge? Well, first of all, just gut check stop. Anyone who's
using the term surge around you cautiouslyis trying to invoke a militaristic frame.
(01:00:27):
This is not a surge. Theseare children, and they are not insurgents,
and we are not being invaded, which, by the way, is
a white supremacist idea philosophy. She'ssuch a freaking clown one our much money
should make on the only fans. That's not very nice jet ao. See
(01:00:51):
there. So if you're worried,so let me ask you a question.
Okay, because it's so blocking immigrantsfrom cups, I mean to this country's
white supremacy. What about other nationswho aren't white, who don't want other
people coming there? What about allof the Palestinians not being taken in by
the other Arabs? Is that awhite supremacy thing? I'm curious about that.
(01:01:16):
Last night, the Pope on thesixty Minutes, surrounded by the Sacred
Francis has not forsaken his sense ofhumor, even when discussing serious subjects like
the migrant crisis. My grandparents wereCatholic immigrated from Northern Ireland in the nineteen
thirties to the United States seeking abetter life. And I know your family
(01:01:39):
too fled fascism. And you havetalked about with migrants, many of them
children, that you encourage governments tobuild bridges not walls. So we're building
bridges, not walls. That's whathe's talking about, CCCC see. See,
(01:02:00):
that's what we've done. That migrationis something that makes the country grow.
They say that you Irish migrated andbrought the whisky whiskey, and that
the Italians migrated and brought them afias. Taking it's a joke, don't take
it badly, but migrants sometimes suffera lot. They suffer a lot,
(01:02:24):
They suffer a lot. You guysbrought whiskey and alcoholism to America, and
the Italians brought themselves a bunch ofgangsters. Why not let more people here?
Huh. I grew up in Texasand I don't know if you've heard,
but the state of Texas is attemptingto shut down a Catholic charity on
(01:02:44):
the border with Mexico that offers undocumentedmigrants humanitarian assistance. What do you think
of that? That is madness?Sheer madness to close the border and leave
them there, That is madness. The migrant has to be received there after
you see how you're going to dealwith them. Maybe you have to send
(01:03:06):
them back. I don't know, but each case ought to be considered humanely,
right, Yeah, but knowing fullwell based on our laws that they're
gonna end up going back. That'sthe reality of it. We're gonna have
more of this next hour. Butit just the way that sixty minutes the
migrants and the kids just like AOCthey're just kids and this wonderful people and
(01:03:29):
they're just I get it. Wecan all sympathize, we can have empathy.
We should. That being said, having no border and allowing anybody to
come here whenever they want willy nillyis not a policy. It's a failure.

(01:05:00):
If you like talk radio, likeChad Benson likes his meals. You've
come to the perfect place for takeout. Welcome to Gaza graduation. Let's see
how much students actually know what theystand for. You get them right,
you win one hundred dollars. Firstquestion, have you guys chanted from the
river to the sea? Yes?Okay? Which river? Which sea?
The sea of No? The answerwas the Mediterranean and the Jordan. What
(01:05:26):
does Hamas say their number one goalis according to their charter, they just
wanted the freebel songs to murder allJews around the world. How many years
did Israel occupy Gaza late eighteen hundredsof the hind entire time is actually under
Egyptian control for the first twenty orso years. And then these are actually
left Gaza in two thousand and six. Wait they left? I love that?
Wait what they left? No?Wait, no, come on,
(01:05:46):
that's all they do. You knowfrom the river from the Mississippi to the
Pacific, isn't it terrific? Ilove this? They have no idea again,
Gaza Palestine, it's a statement. What is the definition of Zionist?
Doesn't that mean you they hate Palestinians? Right? Jewish people who think that
Judaism is the highest race. Zionismactually just means that you think Jews are
(01:06:10):
entitled to having their own homeland toprotect themselves from another Holocaust. You don't
even have to be Jewish. Thatmakes you a Zionist. Okay, what
does antiph a revolution mean? Butyou've chanted it. It's like a global
call to murdered Jews. Wow,wow, did you know you said that?
We would you say it again?Probably not? Probably not. I
like to say probably not. Idon't know. It depends on the mood,
(01:06:31):
right, Like, if I'm feelingit, I'm like, hey,
this could be cool Zionism. Whatdoes it mean? A movement that re
establishes the development and protection of aJewish nation what is now Israel is established
as a political organization eighteen ninety seven. But it doesn't it mean that you
hate? That's what you hate,Poulth, That's what it means. It's
(01:06:55):
a fashion statement at JEMR. Foreignadversaries donated to American universities in the last
decade, no idea. I couldn'tgive you a number on that answer was
over six billion. How many godsin refugees have the Arab neighboring countries let
in in the last few months.Thirty answer was zero. Look, you
a's an education major about students don'tseem to know what they stand for.
So wouldn't it be great if theseexpensive colleges actually taught them something? And
(01:07:20):
I think it's funny, you know, thirty five thousand, no zero.
And the reason is simple. Theydon't want them there. They don't want
them there because what we always hearabout it's just it's it's the children and
the women. The reality is isif you're gonna let people in, you're
probably gonna let men in. Andhow many of them. Egypt looks around,
(01:07:40):
they got the Muslim brotherhood. Theywant no part of this. Jordan
has already gone through this hell whenthey allowed a bunch in and they tried
to kill the king. They wantno part of it. And these kids
go out there and they scream, minelay, do silly things because they're kids,
and in some cases they're indoctrinated andthey've bought into this. And remember
(01:08:00):
this thing that we see on thesecollege campuses, that is going to subside
for a while because it's summertime. But the things that we're seeing on these
college campuses are what this is,this neo Marxism, this wacky modern Marxism
where it is about oppressor and oppressed, this intersectionality. That's what you're seeing
(01:08:21):
on these college campuses. Speaking ofstupid, I know that Afghanistan. If
you guys don't know this, they'retrying to bring tourism up and make tourism
a thing again. I'm not lying. I'm not lying. And they've even
you know, they're gonna have adcampaigns and the whole nine yards. I
(01:08:43):
come to Afghanistan, it's it's likesuper awesome and stuff. Well guess what,
and they're really pushing for this.Uh, you're probably not gonna want
to go, right. They havea fledgling tourism sector that they've been pushing
(01:09:03):
and I do mean like under athousand, but they want to get it
up there. But when you know, when you go to Disneyland, there
may be a mishap. I'm notgonna lie. Oh boy, it's happened
a few times, usually people doingsomething stupid, but very rarely. And
you know what doesn't happen to Disneyland. The Islamic State cleaning responsibility for an
attack on tourists in Afghanistan. Thatkilled three Spaniards and three Afghans. Three
(01:09:27):
other tourists were shot and wounded, but are now in stable condition. According
to the Taliban government, the groupwas fired upon while shopping in the bazaar
in the mountainous city of Bamiyan. One person said his name is Joe Scheffer,
founder of Safarat Tourism agency that specializesin tourism to the country. If
there's another attack in the next fewweeks or months, Afghan tourism, well,
(01:09:51):
the industry itself will be over. You think who's going there? Now?
Look, there are people out there, young people, usually stupid,
who want to do crazy things.Right, And I'm not talking about like
lu gonna climb Everest. I'm talkingabout they want to go to Chernobyl and
they want to walk around and seestuff. They want to go to war
(01:10:12):
zones and see it for themselves. And you know, these people decided this
is the place that they were goingto go, and lo and behold,
this is what happens. It's likethose people that want to go to North
Korea, why why would you dothat? So don't go to Afghanistan.
If somebody says I got a greatidea, I know somewhere we should go,
(01:10:34):
and you're like, where Afghanistan? No, don't, because the chances
of you dying could be high.Speaking of dying, he does it all
the time. The phrase playing possumtakes on a whole new life when you
see Carson the opossum dying over andover again. So there he is dead
(01:10:55):
again. We're just going to leaveour little dead friend right there. Hey,
I know that half the internet hereright now just to see Carson die.
I can see that he's doing verywell other than being dead. This
orphaned apossum came to Tennessee's for Fox'sSake Wildlife Rescue, and instantly Carson began
playing dead every time director Juniper Russocame near him. Yeah, it's hilarious.
(01:11:18):
If you've not seen him, he'squite he's he's quite amazing. He
just keels over dead every time sheespecially gets near him. Sure, other
apossums play dead out of dread, but at least you catch them looking alive.
Sometimes not Carson. So how manytimes has he died on you?
Probably about one hundred and fifty Andthe Internet loves it. It's an involuntary
(01:11:43):
defensive reaction. He gets stiff orfloppy, stops blinking, tends to drool.
He's dead and he's healthy. Soundslike got president. It's not a
very nice Chad. How about somemore? Have you ever thought he was
actually dead? There was one timeI ran and got the stethoscope and listened
to his lungs and heart. Hewas completely fine. Fans like to catch
(01:12:04):
Carson faking a quivering lip, atelltale blank Juniper wants glimpsed him running on
an exercise wheel, but by thetime she started recording, he was standing
up dead. You enjoy being deadin here? Okay, I'll see you
tomorrow. Ah, a little funwith all the craziness going on in the
(01:12:25):
world. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson Show isyour Twitter. We'll have more from Iran,
so we go live now. We'renot going to go live there for
God's sakes, but the president isdead. What happens now? We've got
some stuff about Israel. We've gota lot of other stuff going on.
You can fall across all the socialmedia. Make sure you grab the podcast
(01:12:45):
as well. Appreciate it when youdo that. It is the Monday edition
of the Chadminton shurl. This isthe Chad Benson Show. This is the
(01:13:06):
best of Chad Benson, independent thoughts, independent life. This is Chad Benson.
Perception and reality two separate things.Reality is reality. I hope you
(01:13:30):
guys know that the perception of reality, though in your mind, could make
certain things, you know, feellike this is the reality of stuff,
when it's not. It's not.I always say this. Have you ever
driven down the road and it's youfeel like it is pouring and you can't
even see out the window, andthen you look out to the left,
you're the driver, and you think, wait a minute, here, why
(01:13:53):
does it feel like it's you know? And looks like to me that it's
raining so hard I could barely see. Yet I can see clearly comparatively to
know what's coming and hitting my windshield. That it's not a deluge of water.
That is the financial world that peopleare currently facing. And there is
(01:14:15):
a new study out about the economy, and boy are the misconceptions big.
A new poll shows the majority ofAmericans think the US is in a recession.
By any objective or fair measure,we are not. They also believe
the stock market is down again. We are not. The stock market is
way up. They believe unemployment isat a fifty year high. The data
(01:14:40):
shows well, unemployment at a nearfifty year low. There is a huge
disconnect right now in America when itcomes to the data between reality and perception.
Yeah, reality and perception. AndI'll say this, there is the
(01:15:00):
thing that I've talked about in thetwo economy world, which is you work
somewhere, you own a business, you're an employee, right and your business
seems to be doing pretty well. That's the business side of it. The
consumer side gives us the feeling thatwe're in a recession, gives us a
(01:15:25):
feeling that things are going sideways, gives us because it is it's not about
whether the economy is good. Isare you keeping up with the economy.
It's an individual thing. So WilliamCohen financial guy, banker, talking about
the perception, the reality and howpeople view things. It used to matter
(01:15:47):
a lot. We used to havefaith in the statistics that we heard.
We used to have faith in themedia that reported the statistic that we were
told. You know, now everythingis subject to debate, everything is subject
(01:16:09):
to interpretation, everything is subject toopinion and social media of course has filled
a constant barrage of opposing realities andalternate realities. And of course you have
you know, Donald Trump leading theway saying that you know, the stock
market is up because people are anticipatinghis return to the White House, which
(01:16:31):
is you know, ridiculous. Youknow, he's probably saying all those things
that half the country are believing. And we know that the country is extremely
polarized. So this is the resultthat you get, is it? And
he was talking about you the realityof it, and I go back to
this. We could sit here andwe can play this game because the economy,
(01:16:54):
it's the thing that matters. Youknow, Abe, we talk about
abortion, border economy. Economy isalways going to be number one or two
minus a black Swan event like wetalked about, you know, some sort
of terror event, and then weshowed that the border was the issue that
being said. Yeah, you know, that's the way we've always done it,
right, Like do you remember whenBill Maher said that before COVID that
(01:17:15):
the best way for us to getrid of Donald Trump is to go into
a big recession, have some sortof crash. Well, half the country
believe, yeah, that's probably it. And there's a lot of people out
there who want the other side tofail when they're in office. For me,
I want to succeed. I don'tcare. I don't care about your
politics. I want the economy tobe good. And if you want the
(01:17:36):
economy to fail, that is nota good thing, it is it.
That's that's not patriotic, that isnot good for our country. That's not
good for anybody. What I thinkthe banker there, mister Cohen, is
missing, though, is it's theconsumer side that gives us the feeling that
(01:17:57):
things are sideways. Because when I'massuming and I'm going out and I'm buying
stuff, food to feed the kids, right because apparently they still need to
eat. We haven't turned into theDonner party yet, putting gas in the
car, all of those things thatconsumer side said, oh oh, we
better prace ourselves, continue, sir. But the reality is then economy is
(01:18:20):
doing great. Unemployment is at afifty year low, the stock markets at
an all time high, and thebond market is actually investible for the first
time in about fifteen years. Okay, that's fine, we don't live you
know. I saw the other daythat Biden tweeted out hou it's an all
time Highe tweeted something over the WhiteHouse towards Trump, and the Trump retweeted
(01:18:42):
something that Biden put out in twentytwenty that said, Hey, nobody lives
in the stock market. We're talkingabout reality. You know, real people
here don't live in the stock market. Something like that. Again, your
retirement, that's great for your retirement, but you're nowhere near your retirement.
You're not taking money out. It'sthe consumer side that gives us this thought
(01:19:02):
that, oh, fifty year lowon unemployment, How do people get to
the fifty year high. I haveno idea how to get them. Maybe
it's lack of information, but thefeeling of dread because the economy seems so
damn expensive and no matter how goodyou think you're doing, it is outpacing
you. That's what gives everybody asense that this isn't working. I think
(01:19:27):
during the pandemic, obviously supply linebroke down, of inflation increased, you
know, fairly dramatically. Because ofgoods and services couldn't be delivered in a
timely fashion, interest rates had togo up. They were kept at artificial
levels for thirteen years, and I'msure a lot of people are feeling that
(01:19:50):
they go to the grocery store andeverything looks more expensive. Certainly if they
go out to eat, everything ismore expensive. At the gas pump.
You know, it fluctuates, butit probably looks on balance more expensive.
Yes, so there's definitely some ofthat. I don't want to minimize that.
But on the other hand, itcould be much much worse. I
(01:20:12):
mean, interest rates could be evenhigher, There's no question about that.
Unemployment. Can you imagine if wehad a high inflation and high unemployment and
a stop making in a bond market, they weren't investable. Yeah, I
could imagine that. But see,you didn't want to minimize it, but
you did. And I'll tell youwhy. Probably because you're not a fan
(01:20:33):
of Trump, no doubt about that. But when you're telling people, well,
it looks more expensive because it ismore expensive, it doesn't look more
expensive because when I go to buysomething, that same thing that costs me
X is now costing me Z.And I look at my account and it
(01:20:53):
went down Z. So it isnot the and I've said this for a
while, it's the two pronged economy. You feel safe in your job,
you feel like things are good becauseon this side, when you're the employee,
you're the employer. While things area little bit more expensive, you've
got business on the other side ofit. You take that hat off,
(01:21:14):
put on the consumer hat, andthings change dramatically big time. So while
we have a lot of misconceptions andthey're wrong, that is the economy as
a employer employee side of things, the consumer side of things. Give us
(01:21:38):
the thought of dread three two three, five, three eight, twenty four

What's going on over there in Taiwanand China. We'll discuss Chad Benson.
Joe, you are listening to thebest of Chad Benson. You're listening to
the Chad Benson Show. Fool Paul, don't don't boolbase you pol Chinese state
television showing highlights of the two dayexercise. Say Jane calls the drills punishment
(01:23:53):
for separatist forces seeking independence on theself governed island. It's also said to
be a warning to a external forcessteer clear of any interference or provocation.
China's Eastern Theater Command is combining land, naval, and air elements in the
large maneuvers. Yeah, things aregetting a little uncomfortable over there. So
this is what happened. They gota new president who's vowed basically for them
(01:24:15):
to be independent Taiwan, so thatshe was torn into this week, they
encircled the island and said, hey, you guys, try something. You're
done for their foreign minister. Thisis their foreign minister, Wang Wen Bin.
Taiwan's independent forces will be left withtheir heads broken and blood flowing after
colliding against the great Wow. Sothis is a this is an ugly situation.
(01:24:45):
It's an absolutely ugly situation that isgoing on. And it goes to,
well, it goes to the situationthat we're currently in here, and
that is, do we have thecojones to be what we can be when
(01:25:06):
it comes to being the superpower? And when I watch Biden talk about Israel
and then two minutes later juxtaposed hisposition, I wonder and and and times
he said, Oh, we'll defendTaiwan like one percent, which is not
part of You just make that up, You just say stuff. But if
(01:25:28):
I'm China right now and I'm feelinga little bit itchy and I'm looking over
and I'm thinking this guy he hymnsand hauls and certain things right he's this
would be the time because if theother guy gets in, who knows what
that's gonna be Like, Oh,I don't know, I don't know what
that's going to be like. Couldbe easy for us to do with Trump,
(01:25:48):
might be tough because that guy isa loose cannon. And with Joe,
we know what we get with JoeJoe Biden. You know, it's
never gonna look like Beatlemania when Joemight find steps off of a plane going
to an event. Joe Biden's JoeBiden's about normalcy. And by the way,
if you don't think that's a winningmessage in twenty four, you're not
(01:26:11):
talking to the right voters, who, even if they voted for Trump in
sixteen, are exhausted now. Yeah, normalcy an old doddering man whose memory
and issues mentally are not going toget any better. The youngest he's ever
going to be is today, whohas made every wrong decision when it has
(01:26:35):
come to foreign situations going back decades. And by the way, media,
that was Joe Scarborough Morning, Joe. You guys live off of Trump and
is chaos and you're part of it. That's it. You're part of the
problem when it comes to Trump's chaosbecause you take stuff and then you run
(01:26:59):
with it because it's what your viewerswant. And when we talk, Joe
is scary in a lot of ways, one of which he's super divisive.
I mean that speech at Morehouse overthe weekend was divisive. But you can
go back and look at all thespeeches and the things he has said that
have been divisive over and over again. But because we like Joe, because
(01:27:20):
he doesn't tweet mean things, andeverything is subtle, and the division that
he pushes is subtle. What doyou mean like the Moorhouse speech basically telling
everybody here's just graduated from historically blackcollege, right with their future in front
of them, saying, hey, because the white people, you guys have
(01:27:44):
no chance. This country just hatesyour guts. Have fun. Oh that's
not very nice, Jed. That'sthe reality I saw. I summed it
up for you in a short period. But go back to the Bull Connors
thing right when Georgia. Do youremember Georgia and the whole changing of the
election laws that everybody freaked out. It's like, oh, this is it.
Jim Crow again, Jim Crow onsteroids. He has said so many
(01:28:09):
divisive things, but because the media, the left leaning media, gives him
a pass. With Trump totally different, because Trump's willing to go toe to
toe and he's entertainment. Speaking ofDonald Trump, an endorsement from her.
Trump has not been perfect on thesepolicies. I've made that clear many many
(01:28:29):
times. But Biden has been acatastrophe. So I will be voting for
Trump. Having said that, Istand by what I said in my suspension
speech. Trump would be smart toreach out to the millions of people who
voted for me and continue to supportme and not assume that they're just going
to be with him, And Igenuinely hope he does that. Well,
(01:28:51):
see if he does that, that'sNicki Haley. Everybody's like, why now
she wants to be vice president?I think she does. He was president
her boy, and she still doesget a decent amount of votes. Who
remember, there's still some primaries andstuff going on. You look up there
and you're like, wow, shegot a decent amount. And I think
the telling tale was Pennsylvania, whereit's a swing state, and yeah,
(01:29:17):
you're gonna need those votes. Well, they're they're not all Democrats. They're
not all Democrats. By the way, if I'm a Democrat, here's the
funny thing with Trump and Biden. If I'm a Democrat, I want Trump
running because that's the best chance ofwinning. And if I'm a Republican,
I want Biden there because that's thebest chance of winning. Now, I
(01:29:42):
think Trump will give a much betterrun to anybody else. I mean,
he's gonna he would destroy Kamala.I think it'd be a good race between
him and Gavin Newsom, but Ithink California is hot mess. So the
rest of the country's like, yeah, I don't know if we want that,
and they're woke wackiness. But thatbeing said, if you flip the
script and you put Nicky against Biden, he's got a boat race, Joe
(01:30:04):
Biden. If you put just aboutanybody else, they may win forty five
states. So we'll see. Youknow, she's voting, fell short of
a super endorsement. A lot moreon this, A lot of other stuff
three, two, three, four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
It's your Twitter, your Instagram, all of the other things. Caitlin Clark,
(01:30:26):
she's white. Yeah, she's prettydebatable. People are mad about that
because she's got publicity. Talk aboutthat. A lot of other stuff.
Chad Benson Show, The Chad BensonShow. This is the best of Chad
(01:30:55):
Benson, Independent Thoughts, Independent Life. This is Chad Benson. The Border
Bill. Do you remember that rememberthe border? We ignore the border.
(01:31:15):
Do you see that suicide rates forborder agents are through the roof because well,
they feel their job is thankless, because it is they feel that seeing
dead bodies, children, all thethings they're seeing, the desperation, and
(01:31:40):
there is a huge rise in suicideamongst border agents, which we're going to
touch on a little bit later becauseyou guys know you hear me talk.
I play golf of pickleball. Avast majority of people I have play pickleball
with they're border agents. I livein an area where I'm surrounded by border
agents because I'm on the border. And the desperation and the I said this
(01:32:06):
the other day to somebody, itis not part of it is desperation because
I think they're frustrated. They thinkthey got into something, and reality is
they feel like it's just gone sidewaysand they don't even know what they're doing
at times because of the administration sellsthem one thing and the laws. The
other side of it is it isthe you got the desperation of what they
(01:32:30):
see out there and that they wantto do a good job, and then
you've got this kind of we're resignedto be nothing more than a ticket taker.
And it's a tough thing, itreally is. But they're going to
vote on a border bill. Whoare they? We all know it's going
to be dead on arrival, butstill they're going to try. The vote
allows both Republican and Democrats and theSenate an opportunity to establish themselves as tough
(01:32:57):
on border security. The vote requiresa support of it least sixty senators to
move forward, and is expected tofail. Several Republicans now say the vote
is a political stunt by Democrats. On the flip side, Majority leader Chuck
Schumer said the vote presents lawmakers achance to prove they are above partisanship.
They're not. I think we knowthat nobody anymore is above partisanship, because
(01:33:19):
partisanship at this point in time ina divided nation is really important to raise
money and to show your tribal side. It is. But this bill's dead.
We know that. Is it abad bill? Look bad bill,
(01:33:40):
good bill? And I think thatwe have to decide. We have to
distinguish between the reality of what's goingon and what they need and the perception
of what everybody thinks they need.Yes, they need border money, more
agents, things of that nature thesecurity side. The reality is, though,
(01:34:01):
what they want, and what I'mbeing told is they need enforcement tools.
Because giving them more people and givingthem more tools that you think,
oh, this is what you guysneed. It ain't gonna help them.
If you tell them you can havethis tool, you can just never use
it. And that's the frustration thatso many of them are having. Chuckie
(01:34:27):
Baby's got to figure out what todo. This was him last night talking
about the bill. Tomorrow, senatorswill face an important decision. Will both
sides come together to advance a bipartisanborder security bill or partisanship getting the way
Once again, partisanship will always getin the way. We just said that.
And by the way, not everybody'shappy about this bill on both sides.
(01:34:49):
They're not. But this thing wasda But you gotta take that shot
because that's part of the partisanship. There were already no votes in his conference,
so I mean, it's it's justgoing to demonstrate that there was no
path. He knows that it's notgoing to go anywhere in the House,
and so I think it's maybe amiscalculation on his part. No, it's
(01:35:11):
not. It's just part of whatpolitics is. And while everybody said,
well, it's all the Republican's faultbecause they got everything, they didn't get
everything they want. And let's let'snot forget that. The devil's always in
the details, and you got tolook at this thing and there's plenty of
stuff in here that isn't really securingthe border. Well, it's giving them
more money and the tools we've talkedabout. If you can't use those tools
(01:35:32):
and you can't enforce it, thosetools are useless. Go dig a hole.
Here's a shovel and a backo.You can't use any of it.
You got to use your hands.Well that's stupid. Yeah, that's what
the border bills are mostly about. It's about a look and we got to
buy partisan and da da da.Until you learn to enforce those things,
it isn't going to work. Threetwo, three, five, three eight,

This was a funny exchange yesterday KJP, because we're giving more people free
college that knew that they took outloans. And she's trying to explain why.
First of all, you've already lostthis in Supreme Court. The fact
(01:36:14):
that you're continuing to go back toit is amazing. But you made promises.
Apparently, for the four point sevenmillion Americans who have received this debt
relief, the average was thirty fivethousand dollars. Their relief has been for
So, I guess why don't thoseindividuals who didn't receive thirty five thousand dollars
in debt cancelation deserve a thirty fivethousand dollars check from other Americans? For
what other means they would want touse it? Well, who didn't go
(01:36:35):
to college? So they're not gettingdebt relief the thirty five thousand dollars that
they don't get because they didn't goWe're talking about folks who are in debt
who are literally being crushed, literallybeing crushed because they took and they took,
you know, they took being crushedfinancially. Okay? Is that okay
with you? Okay? But crushedfinancially. A lot of people have crushed
(01:36:55):
financially. What about the person thatstarted a small business and is working ass
off and he or she haven't takena paycheck in months and they've eaten into
their savings and they're trying to buildsomething and they're employing people. They took
a different path and they're being crushedfinancially. What about that? What about
the person who's been crushed every dayfrom inflation financially? Do they deserve a
(01:37:15):
break. And this isn't gonna helpyou with the younger kids. I hope
you know that, like I hopeyou understand that, Biden, this isn't
gonna help you with the younger folk. They're not on board with this,
and it's unconstitutional. What's next? Why not forgive your card debt? Why
not forget your credit cards? Whynot give people an amnesty on their house
payments forever? There's some votes therefor that. Just ridiculous. It is
(01:37:38):
good God three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to
twenty three at Chad Benson's show,is your Twitter tweet at us text the
program very interesting. Jamel Hill dida she's a former ESPN reporter and everything
is about race with her. Youjust you know, the woke and she
came out. She wrote an articlein the La Times about Caitlin Clark and
(01:38:00):
it was very interesting the response bysome people on the view And then we'll
get to the likes of Charles Barkleyand what he had to say about a
lot of this stuff. But thisyou know, the usual Sonny hosts one
of the geese that gaggle on theview. Look, I know I've been
a basketball fan since I can remember. I played basketball with my dad in
(01:38:21):
Harlem when I was five years old. I remember loving the game and the
game not necessarily loving women back rightat all. And the WNBA started in
nineteen ninety six, first games playedin nineteen ninety seven. It's twoenty and
twenty four and we're just really nowtalking about it. And so if Caitlin
(01:38:42):
Clark is the vehicle that will bringthis sport that I have loved so much
and so long to little five yearold girls playing in Harlem, I say,
yes, bravo. I have noproblem with that. Okay, you
had no problem with that. Butthat being said, I do think that
there is a thing called pretty privilege. There is a thing called white privilege.
(01:39:06):
There is a thing called tall privilege, and we have to acknowledge that.
And so the part of it isabout race, because if you think
about the Britney grinders of the world, you know, why did she have
to go to play and fast? They wouldn't pay because they wouldn't pay.
They wouldn't pay, not because shewas black, but because they didn't believe
(01:39:27):
in the ws ans is part ofmy points. Yeah, now you know
Caitlin Clark is bringing this money, these sponsorships, we hope into the league
and other players will benefit from it. But I do think that she is
more relatable to more people because she'swhite, because she's attractive, and unfortunately,
(01:39:48):
there still is that stigma of againstthe LGBTQ plus community. Seventy percent
of the WNBA is black. Athird of the players are in the LGBTQ
plus community, and we have todo something about that stigma in this country.
I think that people have a problemwith basketball playing women that are lesbians.
(01:40:11):
Who cares? They are a greatathletes. Charles Barkley came out last
night and hammered him, not justthem. Everybody said, you guys hate
on women. Why are you hatingon the woman? Why you hating on
her? She's the reason you guysget to fly into private jets. Now,
she's the reason you get to doall of these things. You guys
are petty. You think men arepetty. You guys are being so petty.
We're gonna have more on this later, but the whole white privilege LGBT.
(01:40:34):
You gotta throw something in there rightwith her. She just wants to
play basketball, and let's settle downwith the pretty. Okay, let's just
settle down with that. I'm gonnabe honest with you. No, okay,
there are pretty pretty girls inside ofthe league, mostly Russians and Ukrainians
and stuff. But let's just behonest with the pretty in this side of
(01:40:59):
things. Okay, they you wewas, you know, because she's pretty.

It's Chad Benson. I'm all thatright. There is a mom in Atlanta,
(01:42:32):
Georgia, at a children's assembly andshe was past her kid didn't get
an award helicopter part much. Shewent off. It's on TikTok six million
views. You're gonna single out thesemfor kids, barked the unnamed woman,
whose son is said to be infirst grade and embarrassed his report cards,
(01:42:57):
said different spat the outrage, Mamabear at the put that blank up God,
we got to back off the kids. This. Here's the thing,
here's the reaction. Back in theday, your kid would be mortified,
right, not want to go backto school because of what you've done.
Now, what they're gonna do isthey'll probably just get rid of all of
(01:43:19):
the awards because one person was upsetthat their kid didn't get an award.
A new study came out last monthfrom Ohio State talking about practices like this
helicopter parenting leads to a higher riskof mental behaviors and emotional health issues in
(01:43:39):
children. Oh it does. Yeah, And you remember the Tiger Mom.
I mean she was really popular,Amy Chua, who had books and all
these things out. She said,Look, she has remorse because she lost
her cool because she wanted perfection. She wouldn't let her kids have sleepovers or
do anything. Friends was push push, push, push, push, push
(01:44:01):
push, and she says when theydidn't reach perfection, one ended up happening.
She got mad at them the pressureshe put on them, and then
they rebelled. They got to apoint where they could say no, I
don't want to practice the piano orviolin for nine hours a day. She
says, I still believe in achievingexcellence and it can bring a lot of
benefits. And I'm glad I instilledthe sense of grit in my kids.
(01:44:25):
But things I regret more are theharsh things I said to them in losing
my temper. Well, this mom, she lost her temper. There ain't
no doubt about that. We movedfrom one chaotic, crazy thing to another
one. You guys remember this greatsong, smelly cat, smelly cat.
What are they feeding you? Smellycat? Smellie catsh it's not your fun?
(01:44:54):
Oh yes, smelly cat. Well, there was a smelly cat,
and they want to remind he everybodynine to one one. It's not for
smelly cat. Well, reminder fromthe Atlanta Police Department. Oh, here
we say it again. Only callnine one one when you have a true
emergency, not like this guy whocalled because of a excuse me for this
perplexing problem. Yes, ma'am callingthem at the house smelling bad now,
(01:45:19):
and I'm saying something too about it. She's trying to burn incense in you
and it's not getting bad, it'sgetting worse. Cat odor, You got
that right. If you're calling nineto one one because of cat oder,
how do you even justify that washyour cat, but your cat outside clean
the litter box. I don't knowwhat could you imagine that? Yeah,
(01:45:42):
I've called nine one one because mycat smells and I don't know what to
do. While calls like that mayseem amusing, they're becoming a problem for
Atlanta's nine one one centers. Atlanta'sA nine one one says it handled one
point three million calls last year.Only forty five thousand were deemed serious emergence.
Yeah. So, uh, I'malways amazed that people call nine one
(01:46:05):
one for stuff my pizza wasn't doneright. They go over all of these
things and you're just like, areyou kidding me? Yeah, that's what
happens. There's nothing else that thatyou could think that. I mean,
because it is for emergency, likea lost child, or somebody's having a
(01:46:25):
heart attack, or there's a robberyin place, or somebody's been smelly cat.
Somebody picked it up and go,hey, my cat's a little stinky.
I better call nine one to one. Speaking of sticky, let's move
to Illinois. And I don't meanthat because it smells. The politics is
bad and they're more concerned about beingpolitically correct, then I don't know anything
(01:46:46):
else. Well, we don't messwith anything in terms of the term victim.
We just change offender to justice impactedindividual, justice impacted individual. It
might seem like a small thing.I mean, obviously changing a term can
have a positive or negative impact whenwe do that, But I would say
that over and over again, wekeep changing the names for how we are
(01:47:09):
referring to those who have entered intocriminal activity. And each time we make
that change, each agency has tomake that change on every one of their
documents. Yeah, so and thisis this is this is the beauty of
like whether it's California, Illinois,New York, everybody's always worried about the
(01:47:30):
the the quote unquote person who isa perpetrator in something as also being a
victim. So it's just this impactedindividual and this bill passed, and this
woman she thinks the bill stupid. But on top of that, now we
got to change everything. It's noteven just about whether or not this is
(01:47:50):
a stupid bill. Now we gotto change the font the settings on our
computers, and of course the signaturesand the wording. So right now in
the Department of Corrections, there's multiplechanges that have been made, and it's
costing thousands and thousands of dollars justto do a name change. So I
would ask why is it necessary tomake the name change even if the rest
(01:48:12):
of the bill was okay, whichI don't think that it is, But
even if the rest of it wasokay, the name changes may seem like
a small thing, but it coststhousands and thousands of dollars to do that.
Justice impacted individual, Yeah, veryimportant. And look, I think
that you know, we need tofind a way and I've said this for
years when it comes to people thatare coming out of prison. A vast
(01:48:35):
majority of people in prison, bythe way, violent offenders, and what
are going to get out. Helpingthem get into society and have a chance
for achieving and living a good lifewill reduce the recidicism rate. That being
said, this has nothing to dowith that. This is about making people
(01:48:57):
