Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
I'll say it when others won't. I thought I was
in poor taste. I think with Trump truth out yesterday
was absolutely in poor taste. It was in pissed poor taste.
And this has nothing to do with politics, you know,
the White House, the fact that nobody there tapped him

(00:36):
on the shoulder and said, yeah, you should get rid
of that. But he won't apologize. And if you didn't
know what he said, good It just basically he blamed
the death of Rob Reiner on him having trumped arrangement syndrome,
and then doubled down on it a little bit later,
which was again, I don't know who's that for. I
even asked my buddy this, Yes, who's that for? Exactly?

(00:56):
Who's a super maga guy? I asked a couple of
people and they looked at me and said, I have
no idea what that was about. I don't. I mean,
you know, even Scott lonely, Scott Lonely, Scott Jennings is like,
I can't. I can't square this one. I mean, there isn't.
But the thing is, I went on to you know,

(01:17):
when I looked at all the true stuff, and then
it was all over Twitter. I went on to see
what people were saying, and you know what, to a person,
a vast majority, I would say ninety five percent of
people who support Trump said yeah, this was in poor taste.
This was absolutely in poor taste. And it was It

(01:39):
was absolutely in poor taste. And the argument from some
people out there were sick of fans who are worried
to losing access. This is where your humanity should stand
up and say, yeah, this wasn't a good idea. This
wasn't This wasn't a good idea. And to push back
a little bit, Okay, a seventy year old dude who's
sitting there watching Fox News all day thinking I just

(02:01):
owned the libs man, that's what that guy just now.
This was just a poor taste. And then to double down.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all
in any way, shape or for him.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I thought he was very bad for a country. Exactly
how was he bad for a country? Just out of curiosity,
what was he doing that was so bad for a country?
And I bring that up because James Wood, who's a
huge supporter of Trump, was on last night with Jesse
Waters talking about what Rob Reiner did for him when
he kind of was at the time in his career struggling.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I knew Rob Reiner because at a very very down
point in my career, Rob literally saved my career and
really put me back on track in a way that
was so important and rewarding in my life. And he
really fought for me when the studio didn't want me
in a movie.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
I was thirty two years Thirty two years is too.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Young for the part, but he really believed that I
was right and could do it. It was something that
virtually nobody agreed with except one of his partners, Martin Schaeffer,
who was the head of Castle Rock and you know,
one of the greatest production companies ever. And we did
Ghosts of Mississippi together, and I went from really being

(03:22):
basically out of a job to getting an Academy Award nomination.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
And I give all the credit to Rob.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
That's incredible. And everybody's like, what, no, way, Yeah, Because
see the way that life works is we're all pals,
we're all friends in real life. Politics in some people
in the extreme world is ridiculous, but in reality, we

(03:49):
all kind of want the same thing. And that's life.
That is you work with people that you may not
be pals or friends with who have a different political view,
and you work with them and you get along because
if you learn to find out what that other person
is human being wise not politically, you find out, oh,

(04:13):
well we got a lot in common.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
And you know it's funny.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
People well see would have seen it's impossible to talk
about him in the past tense.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
But I'd be at a party at.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
My friend's house and people who didn't know that Rob
and I knew each other, they'd see us laughing and
you know, kidding each other, and they go, how was
it that you and Rob Reiner are friends?

Speaker 5 (04:36):
And I said, what do you mean?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
They said, well, you are so different in your politics
and so on.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
I said, look, let me explain some of you, Rob Reiner,
so that you know.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
First of all, I judge people by how they treat me,
and Rob Reiner was a godsend in my life. We
got along great, We loved each other. We had more
fun together doing a very serious subject. It was a
way to come to get through it. And he was
always on my side. But when people would say to me, well,
what do you think of his politics? I would say,

(05:07):
I think Rob Reiner is a great patriot.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I like that. Dude's a great patriot. That's what he is.
He's a patriot. I don't agree with the things that
he wants, but dude's a patriot. He's a good dude.
Now we got to get back to people are good
for the most part, good dudes. This guy was killed
by his kids, allegedly, who's in jail, who was turned

(05:36):
in by his sister, and they were super close, and
our president is going, Yeah, the reason that he you know,
he died is because he had trumped arrangement syndrome. And

(05:57):
the reason he's not good for our country is because
he pushed Russia conspiracy theories and wanted me in jail
and all these and you're just like, wow, that is ridiculous.
By the way, Rob Reiner was asked on Piers Morgan's
right after Charlie Kirk was killed, and did he say
anything horrific. No, it's just you want to expect more

(06:24):
and you shouldn't be surprised. But then you should really
be surprised over people like James Woods, who's out there again.
Very much a fan of the president, not a fan
of the way that this was handled by him.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Do I agree with some of or many of his
ideas on how that patriotism should be enacted to celebrate
the America that we both love. No, but he doesn't
agree with me either, But he also respects my patriotism.
We had a different path to the same destination, which
was a country we both loved. And when people would

(07:04):
say terrible things to me on social media about him,
I said, you got it all wrong. And yes, I
can see how you can disagree with him, But because
you disagree with people doesn't mean that you have to
hate people. And what Rob and I could do. Rob
and I could sit in a room I consider a
room with Sean Penn, by the way, I consider a

(07:24):
room with a lot of my liberal friends and say, look,
I think you're wrong about this and this, and they
can say the same to me and we would find
a way to work it out. And that was one
of the great things about him. He was a real
thinker when you had a chance to talk to him.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
And a lot of people just don't think anymore.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
No, that's for damn sure. Nuance is lost, is what
I'm trying to say. People don't think. They react. It's
emotional and it's done that way for a reason. We
talk about that, we do. We talk about that. It's
done that way for a reason. It is. What happened
was horrific, was horrible, family torn apart, brothers and sisters

(08:11):
losing their parents, a brother being accused of the crime,
just horrific. Were any politics in tragedy? We don't. It's
unfortunate that we have to, because again, we feed the algorithms.
Apparently my algorithms is full of bunnies stuff like that

(08:36):
we are dogs, ugly dogs. You like ugly dogs? Well,
I liked one that looked goofy and the next thing,
you know, my entire algorithm, because that's all it takes,
is like one like of something that's kind of odd,
and then you get a thousand and you're like, well,
look at this, what do you think of this? What
about this right here? Let's not forget this, And you're like, oh, yeah,
I like that too. That's the beauty of social media, kids,

(08:58):
that is it's absolutely the beautiful social media. Just the
other day, I was trying to figure out, you know,
liking I'd liked there was something that I go, well,
you know, I'll like this because it was something that
Charlie was thinking about for Christmas, and then then it
sends me a thousand Christmas things, of which none of
them are for her, and they're so ridiculous they are.

(09:21):
Some of the toys and some of the gifts out
there for people are so over the top ridiculous. You
sit there and go, what, Who's Who's getting this? Who's
getting this thing? What is even this? I have no idea.
So it's some sort of potpery thing that also happens
to be a music box that also happens to be

(09:42):
a sewing machine. Okay, that seems like fun. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four twenty three at shead Benson Joe

as we all tend to do, be aware that the likes,

(10:06):
the clicks, the shares. Even if you hesitate and watch
something for X amount of seconds, there is a chance
that you may get sucked into something. Just putting that
out there, putting that out there, okay, because the next
thing you know, you didn't like it. Even you just

(10:28):
hovered and now it's like, oh you like this, so
now what stuck with it forever? That's what three two, three, five,

caught some dangerous people turtles.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
What yeah, wait, do you hear this, Chad Benson, Joe,
you're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
They caught four turtles that were going to do some
crazy stuff. Now, they weren't living in a sewer. These
were a different kind of turtle, Turtle Island Liberation Front,
who were going to cause some hell, some havocs, some chaos. Yeah,
they're called the Turtle Island Liberation Front. I like turtles,

(13:35):
not those kind of turtles.

Speaker 7 (13:37):
This group of four people were part of a radical
offshoot of that organization who allegedly got together on a
signal chat dating back to at least November of this
year and started making and detailing their plans to go
out on New Year's Eve plant these pipe bombs that
will be equipped inside of backpacks. They said their plans
were to detonate them right at New Year's Eve when

(13:59):
they expected that fireworks would be going off around the city.
So they would not, in their words, be apparently detected
by law enforcement, that these will be discovered likely the
next day.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Okay, So that's what they were going to do because
they hate corporations and capitalism and all of these kind
of things. That's what they were going to do. And
then they went out and they caught them. By the
looks of it, they're wackadou's and you know, it's it's
we hate greed free Palestine, you know, kind of whatever.

(14:30):
It always reminds me of in the debate that we
can always have whether or not die Hard is a
Christmas movie or not. But that part in die Hard
where he throws in Hans throws in the just crazy
you know, red Rising Asian Gang or whatever the hell
they're called, and they're like looking at him. He's like, no,
I just saw them. I read about them in Time magazine,

(14:50):
because that's a lot of what this stuff is.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
And these arrests actually took place last Friday, when prosecutors
say that they all convened in the Mojave Desert where
they got together around a table and there were pictures
in this complaint where they put all of their materials
that they had gathered over the past couple of weeks
and they started to construct these pipe bombs. They put
up a tent that prosecutor said was in order to

(15:14):
shield the components of the pipe bombs from the sun.
And then as they were about to, you know, put
the final touches on creating these pipe bombs, that's when
federal agents moved in and effectuated these arrests last Friday.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Okay, so that's when they went and did it. Now,
the question is were they going to kill on top
of all of this lunacy.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
Nowhere did they allege that any of these individuals wanted
anybody to be harmed as a result of these pipe bombs.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four twenty three
at Chet Benson Show is your Extra Insta, YouTube, Facebook
and more? Right on the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 7 (15:50):
You know, that's kind of the anti capitalist sentiment that
was allegedly shared among the four members of this signal
group who were arrested.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
It's always met Amazon, It's it's about capitalism. What do
you think of this people? We caught them? Let me know,
all kidding aside, but I just want to remind about
it what happened last year So we had the horror
in New Orleans, remember that and how we started off
the year. Then we had the the truck bomb guy
Wackado that had the Tesla truck. Remember that. You had

(16:21):
several attacks last holiday season throughout Europe, in particular places
like Germany and whatnot. Germany, by the way, just foiled
a plot and attack on Christmas markets. And the fact
that they have to now have at Christmas markets and
these are big deals in places like Germany and elsewhere where,
they have these huge festivals where people come and they

(16:41):
shop and they buy gifts and it's awesome. Now they
have to have all of these special you know, giant
concrete things set up so people don't drive trucks through
and kill people. They just arrested five potential Islamis terrorists
that were going to attack a Christmas market. Christmas market
and several Christmas markets have been canceled, So there's a

(17:02):
heightened sense of something's coming. You can feel it. And
then of course you had Brown University. Not to mention,
obviously we've talked about what's happened in Australia, so it yeah,
but these these just seemed like it was this was
not Carlos the Jackal. These were just pissed off, angry,
probably over educated kids who are going to get back

(17:23):
at the man. Coming up, Mike, Client's gonna join the program.
We're gonna talk about Venezuela, more board strikes, what's going
on there, obviously, what's happening in Ukraine, among other things.
Straight Ahead Chad Benson.

Speaker 8 (17:34):
Joe.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
Son, Chad Benton, Joe.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
That time of the week, her favorite times a week,
talk to the best military analysts in the business. It's
hard major of the Army and a guy who was
licking his wounds after the last second victory by the
midshipman over Army. Mike Lyons joins the program. Sorry about
the lost.

Speaker 10 (18:18):
Brother, Ed.

Speaker 11 (18:18):
I know you had to bring it up, but we
had to deal with it. It was tough watching Navy go
on to victory. You know, Horvath, you like, Yeah, it's
hard not to like them. It's hard not to like
that team. The accomplished a lot this year. Navy did
onto them.

Speaker 10 (18:32):
But here we go. We're on. We're on to the next year.

Speaker 11 (18:34):
Three hundred and sixty four in abut days until Army
beats Navy. In the Meadowlands next year in twenty twenty six,
looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
What's the atmosphere like when you're there, because it looks,
you know, it's one of those things where college football,
for all the grandeur of the SEC and all the
other things, they get out of the way for this
particular weekend.

Speaker 10 (18:53):
Yeah, it's electric.

Speaker 11 (18:55):
If you haven't been there, it's a bucket you know,
item lists for sure, everyone's all in there. It's that,
you know, it's the game where everybody on the field
is willing to die for everybody watching the watching the game.
So it is it's bucket bucket at them lists. You
haven't been there, You and I are going at some point, brother,
we're gonna we got to go see that game.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Absolutely all right. Now, let's talk about actual military stuff
that's going on unfortunately, because we'd all like to know
that there was no military stuff. Let's first and foremost
start with the Ukraine, because how close are they getting
anything done with this? I think they'd like to have
something by Christmas. I feel like the administration is trying
to check off something on on on the list. But
the reality is I feel like every second you hear

(19:29):
oh yeah, I think we're getting close, and then the
other side of it's like, I don't think you guys
are anywhere close to getting anything done, Chad.

Speaker 11 (19:35):
The battlefield math has not changed. And then until that changes,
I don't see Russia doing anything. You know, You've got
European leaders now doing more to push this piece framework,
so to speak. I know Trump is over selling it.
Deals closer than ever, Natal forces, you know, are going
to possibly be part of the piece, and security guarantees

(19:56):
to Keith, but Russia will continue to drive on the
fact that the Ukraine military can't keep you know, they
can't keep this up for very much longer. As Russia
continues to try to drive holes to much of their
defensive end perimeter, they're running out of AMMO all those things. Now,
we also know that the drawing technology that Russia has improved,

(20:17):
it's almost better than what Ukraine is producing right now.
But then we also know Ukraine continues to innovate. But again,
I just don't see Russia agreeing to anything because the
battlefield math just hasn't changed this yet.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
So if they're not agreeing to anything, is the you know,
because Trump's not going anywhere, you know, in theory for
another three years. This isn't going to last for another
three years because there's no way, I mean, Trump eventually
is gonna He's just going to pull the plug, it
looks like. And so that leaves the European what can
the Europeans realistically supply them with they can keep them going.

Speaker 11 (20:51):
Well, interesting report over the weekend at sixty minutes regarding
the German military and how they are there back and
you've got a lot of folks that are concerned learned
about that. But I mean it's been you know, obviously
eighty years since you know, the Third Reich and all
the last time Germany decided to mobilize. I'm glad the
Germans are back in the game in that regard. But
perhaps the Europeans got this wake up call and maybe

(21:13):
buy I don't know, twenty twenty nine. I can think
as their objective is to is to have their military
restore to what it once was, which was, let's say,
that of a country that could defend itself like it
did that's in the eighties and nineties.

Speaker 10 (21:27):
But europe is going to likely have to do more.

Speaker 11 (21:29):
And you're right, Trump will'll say enough is enough at
some point and he'll back out and if he can't,
if he can't get a deal, because he's not gonna wait,
he's not gonna he's not gonna let this this and go.

Speaker 10 (21:39):
He wants to have some kind of peace deal.

Speaker 11 (21:41):
And frankly, he still views Russia as this nuclear threat,
existential threat to the US, and he'll he'll, i won't
say side with them, but he'll recognize that that they
have all the cards. And that's what he's told Zelensky
before in the past. And I still think he's not
willing to give Zelensky the leverage he needs to try
to change the battlefield.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Maath On, Michaelients, we talk about all things military, you know,
as we talk about Russia, we don't really much talk
about Ukraine outside his Lensky. Do you have any sense, like,
not just the battlefield, but what's the average person Kiev
thinking each and every single day as they see this thing,
you know, feeling like it's hopeless and it's just it's
it's rinse and repeat.

Speaker 10 (22:20):
Yeah. Interesting.

Speaker 11 (22:21):
I talked to some a Ukraine soldier that left the
battlefield a few years ago. But it's working with a
couple of foundations that they're trying to look for more
avenues to get dollars in technology into Ukraine, and they're
really actually not happy with him on some level. I
think he's going to end up being this Churchill type

(22:41):
prime minister while he's fighting the conflict right now. We
saw that the British didn't have much to do with
Winston Churchill once once the World War was over. I
think that's the possibility here, and I think I don't
think that's keeping him from making a deal. I think
he might know that as well himself, don't I didn't
kind of understand all the politics around that. But they
just feel that they're just concerned that they got him

(23:05):
in the situation to begin with, and Zelensky was part
of the reason why this whole thing happened. So it
was an interesting take that I had. But they want
the war to stop, but they're also likely they're going
to move quickly because of the level of corruption that
it still exists in our country.

Speaker 10 (23:21):
Once it does happen, all.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Right, move from there to Venezuela. Another some more boats
were hit. I couldn't tell you what any of this
looks like. I think it's not if, but when, but
when it happens. I have no idea. What looks like
you always say, Chad. Once the army starts showing up,
then there's some serious stuff. But that doesn't seem to
be happening, at least not in mass numbers. But now

(23:44):
Trinidad said, you guys can bring your arms here, America
start landing stuff here. So it feels like they're setting
this thing up for something.

Speaker 10 (23:52):
I still don't see it.

Speaker 11 (23:53):
And again we saw the three strikes that took place
yesterday in the Pacific on the other side, so the
Pacific means are not even coming out of it as well.
They're coming out of Columbia or some other location. Seizing
the oil tanker last week in terms of that's all
about projecting power once again, a ship that was earmarked

(24:13):
I guess a couple of years ago, but the Biden
administration couldn't find it. They think some of the drugs
could be coming in those kinds of tankers as well.

Speaker 10 (24:20):
I think that's the next step.

Speaker 11 (24:21):
But I just don't believe that the Peace president, the
guy that wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize, is
going to turn around and launch an invasion which would
take sixty to eighty thousand troops in total a naval
prep that that would look like what we started at
the Desert Storm. I remember sitting in a briefing about

(24:43):
what it would take to invade a country from the
sea like that. It would be like a d DA
type invasion. I mean, could you just imagine what that
looks like? A D Day type invasion? How else are
we getting into Venezuela?

Speaker 10 (24:54):
Can we drop so many paratroopers in there?

Speaker 11 (24:56):
So again, tactically you look it all around, I just
don't see yet. I think there's a lot of pressure
on Maduro obviously, and maybe that will move him. But
again everyone has a number. Maybe we just haven't hit
his number yet.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
There's also pressure on the administration because even people close
to the administration say, look, here's the problem. Trump and
Hegseth and them have made such a big deal about this.
You've put yourself in that. You know, don't be Obama
where you draw the red line and then you know,
Asad goes over to a thousand times and you do nothing.
You can't leave him in power because he's just going
to end up if he stays in power doing what

(25:29):
he's going to grow in power.

Speaker 11 (25:31):
Yeah, he could do what like Saddam did when we
invaded first, and you know, two thousand and three, he
just goes into a hole someplace, and with today's technology,
he can communicate from there, and he's got there's no
question he's got loyalists. There are people inside of Venezuela
that want to see him succeed for sure, right, I mean,
their livelihood depends on it as well. So this is
not as simple as just tipping this over and having

(25:54):
new leadership in Venezuela. The pressure continues to mount, and
it's a lot of the military is performative, I think,
and it's an unfortunate use of the military.

Speaker 10 (26:05):
We cavel over whether it's legal or not.

Speaker 11 (26:07):
But I think I think that, you know, I do
believe this is the only thing that they have right now.
They're going to continue working it in that direction and
maybe try to starve them out, but they're not going
to on data anytime soon.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
You know.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
You say, he's got loyalists, And I've been telling people this,
Just because he leaves doesn't mean this is going to
get better. It probably will get worse because he'll leave
behind a bunch of people that will be on the
hook potentially as he takes the edamine package right, and
it disappears with all this money and heads over to
hang out with the you know, Assad in Russia. But

(26:40):
the rest of his henchmen are going to be the
ones who are going to face the repercussions. And right
now they're the ones controlling the military, and they're not
going to go down without a fight.

Speaker 11 (26:49):
Right sports to Earth likely and it could go very poorly.
They have resources, they have rare earth minerals. There's lots
of things that can take that they could have, and
you could see an insurgency that.

Speaker 10 (27:03):
Would be go on for years there.

Speaker 11 (27:05):
They would have instability for years, like we've seen in
the Middle East. I mean, people are going to do
what they can and if anything, what Trump will get
blamed for and historians will look back and say that
President Trump brought this kind of insurgency war like it
was Vietnam and the Middle East and brought it to
this hemisphere. We never never had it before, but here
it is now. Of these insurgents. He might argue that

(27:27):
the Cartaeils are doing that anyway, but they control a
lot of the governments obviously, and they're the forces they
have in the Mexican government as well. But again there's
no real solution insight on the horizon that says, look,
this is you know, the end is nearing for for
Maduro in Venezuela and we can move forward there.

Speaker 10 (27:47):
It still could get very worse.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Talking to Mike Lion's military Elst, we talk about all
things military. We go from there to the Middle East,
still unsettled there. There's you and I have been talking
about since the day that they said, oh okay, we've
got this done and there's going to be all of
this stuff. Still I have no idea. There doesn't seem
to be any peacekeeping crew that has come on board
to say, okay, we're going to go over to Palestine

(28:10):
and Gaza and we're going to take over and protect
the civilians. We're going to make sure that there is
no growing unrest from the militia groups and or you
know any of you know Hamas or anybody else. And
I hear nothing about.

Speaker 10 (28:25):
That now, Chad.

Speaker 11 (28:26):
We talked a couple of weeks ago that we thought
Turkey would be the indispensable nation and so it Egypt
and bring troops there and Indonesia talked about it, but
it turned out to be all talked, and why because
the situation on the ground is still very dangerous and
they're not sending their troops there in order to get
them killed. And Hamas still controls many of them, all

(28:48):
the ministries, and if not some of the military aspects,
then they still have this way of creating an uncertainty there.
As crazy as it sounds, the place is not destroyed enough.
They haven't surrendered. So until until that happens, you're not
going to see those countries get involved because they're not
going to want to become part of some losing operation.
But you know, Trump moved on from it, unfortunately, and

(29:12):
you know the security operations are going to be you
know critical.

Speaker 10 (29:16):
Obviously, we have him in the Red Sea.

Speaker 11 (29:18):
We're still responding to who the attacks and the shipping
threats that are there. But for all practical purposes, Gaza
remains a wasteland that no sane person wants to step
foot in right now.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
And finally, let's talk about China. What's the word I
saw last week that there was a whole bunch of
those computer program simulations that would not be good if
we tried to protect Taiwan that we're probably going to
end up losing that, and you know that got a
lot of people going, oh, but you know again, the
fight is much different like anything else. And you could

(29:49):
write it all down but on papers much different than
on the ground. But you know, it does make you think.

Speaker 11 (29:54):
Yeah, I saw that a couple of things. The thing
when we do those simulations is we fight. Americans fight doctrinally,
so to speak, so we use our doctrine when we
tell the computer, this is how we're going to fight.
But the problem is when Americans go to war, they
do whatever is best and we don't pay attention to
our doctrine. It's if you asked our enemies and you know,

(30:17):
the Middle East and Russians and stuff, they would say
that's the problem with Americans. They this is how they
say they're going to fight, but then they show up
and they fight totally different. Now, you still have to
bring the firstest with the mostest. You still have to
bring assets to the battlefield. The question is whether or
not we have enough in the Pacific in order to
protect the country and whether or not we would respond.

(30:37):
China would have to knock out a very significant portion
of those assets in order. First, they couldn't necessarily turn
right to Taiwan and go from right there. So again
I saw that simulation. We haven't won that in many years.
I'm not saying it's something we shouldn't be concerned about.
In fact, haig Seth thought that it was worthless because

(30:58):
that was one of the things you got rid of.
You got rid of that office that did that, because
he thought that was just, you know, too negative.

Speaker 10 (31:04):
I don't think that's a good idea either.

Speaker 11 (31:06):
But again the bottom line is we need to do
what we can to project the kind of power that
China doesn't do what we think that they could possibly do.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
It's going to be interesting my client's military analysts. Tired
major in the army is always good to have you on.
We'll do it again next week.

Speaker 10 (31:21):
Thanks Chet, thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (31:22):

Speaker 12 (32:35):
Deep States note deep doo doo.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Yeah, the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
We've counted them down from five to number one. Today.
We've had some wacky ones. Including yesterday's song about Santa
Claus getting the aids from Tiny Tim, but today so
sad and depressing. Let's do it now.

Speaker 13 (33:00):
It's time for the countdown of the worst Christmas songs
of all time.

Speaker 14 (33:06):
Number one, Merry.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Christmas, Gayla Pevi at number five, The Barking Dogs at
number four, The Killers, the serial killer who Santa Claus
is the hitman and come to kill yesterday Tiny Tim
and his Santa Claus song about getting aids because Sanna's
got the aids. But today today comes from a star
nineteen seventy seven, so he was already a legitimate star. Apparently,

(33:33):
John Denver thought, you know what I should do. Let's
ruin Christmas everybody we possibly can never get displayed anywhere.
There is no irony, and there's no jingle bells whatsoever
in this. This is John Denver with to me the
worst Christmas song of all time. Please Daddy don't get
drunk this Christmas.

Speaker 14 (33:54):
Daddy, don't get drunk this Christmas. I don't won't see
mama pry. Please Daddy don't get dromed this Christmas. I
don't won't see my mama cry.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
The song was essentially about an absolute alcoholic, horrific dad
who screamed and yelled and tortured the kids if you will,
and the wife. It was brutal and sad. No DJ
played this anywhere at the time. They avoided it like
the plague they did. And again there's no joyousnessness. Alan Jackson,

(34:42):
I think re recorded this because you're like, you know what,
I'd like to have a song that's not fun for Christmas,
zero irony as they like to say, so no chart
arguably one of the most depressing Christmas songs of all time.

Speaker 14 (35:02):
Daddy don't get Trump this Christmas. I don't want see
my mama.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Fro oh my Lord says. It deals with alcoholism, family
trauma and for Oaken Homes. Yeah, your number one worst
Christmas song, John Denver's nineteen seventy seven classic Please Daddy,
Don't Get drunk This Christmas three two, three, five, three eight,

(35:31):
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson shows your acts,
your instat YouTube and more love hearing from all of
you ready of the Ched Benson chill our number two.
A lot of stuff to get to polls out there
about affordability and how people are thinking and they're thinking
life isn't as affordable as we thought. We're gonna talk

(35:53):
a little bit about that. We're also going to talk
about the weed kids. Is Trump getting ready to do
something when it comes to mariji Wana? I think he is.
What does it mean for big weed? What there's big weed?
There's gonna be Plus, we got your urban word of
the day and a snapshot back to the yesteryear, like

(36:14):
the turn of the eighteen hundreds into the nineteen hundreds
and some of their urban words, among other things. Our
number two is for Dad Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Rob Reiner, Gone, will not be forgotten. Trump didn't help
the program. I think we can all recognize that was
to win and watching the Republicans trying to figure out
how do I respond to this because he'll be mad
at me. But that was horrible to say. But let's
focus on the man for a second, Okay, Rob Reiner.
First of all, the horrors of what happened, I think

(37:14):
can't be understated. The fact that, by the looks of it,
I was gonna say, allegedly, but they're not looking for
anybody else. And we called it yesterday, even before it happened.
Nick was the person that was the suspect. His daughter,
Rob Reiner's daughter and Nick's sister Robmie turned him in.
And it's a horrible situation to say the least, But

(37:38):
what a brilliant you know, we were going over a
bunch of stuff last night, my wife and I going
over the movies that he did. They were amazing, they
were incredible. This was a guy who his life of
I mean, when you think about the works of his life,

(38:01):
All in the Family, he's like one hundred and eighty
six episodes of All in the Family. Obviously, when Harry
met Sally, the Princess Bride stand by Me, spinal tap misery,
people forget about misery, which was incredible. You will never
look at a sledgehammer in a person's ankles ever. Again,
a few good men, Sleepless in Seattle, which I love,

(38:23):
by the way, that may be. I know they talk
about a lot of you know, stuff, but he had
his hands, whether it was producing, writing, adding his acting
chops to it in so many different things. And you know,
it's just the entire thing is a tragedy because you're
also dealing with the fact that his son had spiraled

(38:44):
out of control the last several months. Apparently the night
before there was a Conan O'Brien party he and his dad.
I guess it got physical. Heated, it was ugly and
if you know anything, and if you talked about this yesterday,
he had struggled severely with drugs, alcohol, being homeless, mental illness,

(39:11):
violent outburst and something just snapped and it's sad.

Speaker 15 (39:19):
Nick Reiner, the son of Hollywood icon Rob Reiner, and
his wife Michelle, is held without bail, accused in the
stabbing deaths of his parents. Sources say it was a
couple's daughter who found them dead in their home Sunday.
Sources say Rob and Nick got into an argument Saturday
night at a holiday party and Nick was acting strangely.
They say Nick was not home when his parents' bodies

(39:39):
were found, but was arrested later near the University of
Southern California.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
And his sister who turned him in, they're like best buds.
I mean, this is a family that cared a lot.
And I was reading some stuff that Rob had talked
about with his struggles as a parent. He was talking
about this during an interview with the movie Being Charlie,
which was based somewhat on Nick's life and their struggles,

(40:06):
and he said his biggest regret because he felt like
they listened to all the experts and allowed the experts
to medically guide his son when that's not what his
son needed. And it was, you know kind of I
now that you look back, it's it's eye opening because
it's you know, I mean, when you think about this

(40:30):
for just a second, it's weird. I miss the holidays,
want to have some fun. We're gonna have some fun.
But you know, a parent's worst nightmare, obviously is something
happening to their child, whether it is drugs or alcohol,
the death of a child. But then you think about
the other side of it, if your child would ever
do anything like that. But you also think about the
family that's left. Mom and dad are gone, there's still

(40:50):
another brother and two sisters and a grandchild. Right, so
one of his daughter and grandchild lived across the street
for them. So just the entire situation that took place
just just awful, just awful. Meanwhile, let's talk about some

(41:15):
fun stuff. Weed what now, you guys know, I don't
do weed. I don't do weed. I don't do anything.
I'm actually pretty boring, kind of like what they call it,
teetotal pretty much straight edge, indeed, teetotaler some people to call.
But I bring this up because looks like there's going

(41:37):
to be some movement in weed, a rescheduling of the weed. Rescheduling.
Would you rescheduled it? No, no, no, no, not scheduled to
take it. They're going to reschedule the weed because currently
weed is a situation that is Schedule one. Schedule one

(41:59):
is not a good right. Schedule one has got all
these things on there. You're like, no way, no way.
Schedule one has things like heroin, LSD, MDMA, right, magic,
mushrooms and marijuana. Okay, And they're thinking about moving it
to schedule three. And this is important why three Trumps

(42:21):
asked about it.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
We are considering that, Yeah, because a lot of people
want to see it. The reclassification, because it leads to
tremendous amounts of research that can't be done unless you reclassify.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
So we are looking at that very strongly. Research. You say, now,
why is this interesting to go to schedule three? Well,
with schedule three, so schedule two, by the way, if
you guys just want to just go through this that
has fentanyl, oxycoton, hydrocodone, morphine, coke, medical use only. Dude,

(43:00):
I'm partying hard and that's medically awesome. Meth adderall ridlin
so and with those right, so there's they're super highly controlled.
So as you guys know, I'm maybe you don't, I
have ADHD. So if I want my adderall, I got
to go to my doctor and you know he has
to represcribe that kind of stuff. So it's very controlled.

(43:23):
But with Schedule three moderate risk common in medicine, ketamine,
you know, anabolic steroids, testosterone tailand all with codeine, certain barbituates,
you can get up to five refills in six months. Now,
why this is important isn't just the fact that it's easy,
because it's already Most states, you know, have some sort

(43:45):
of legal side of it that they allow. But the
other side is if you are a business owner dealing
in the weed Iwana, guess what, you can't do any

(44:05):
business right, meaning you can't bank, you can't write stuff
off taxes, which means big investors won't get in bed
with you because they can't figure out how they're going
to monetize this. Write this off and give you an
opportunity to having a for a lack of a better
term profitability. What mean, Well, they can't bank, right, So

(44:29):
that weed shop that you see, they can't bank. It's
all cash, so they can't bank at all, which means
the taxes are a nightmare. You can't write anything off.
So if you make a million dollars in your weed store, right,

(44:52):
so a month, you make a million dollars in a month.
So over let's say over the year, you make like
ten million dollars. I saw somebody kind of break this
down the other day. Well, you know it's going to
break it down simply like they did. And so that
ten thousand, I mean that ten million dollars, that is
what you've made. Now you've got to do what Well,
you've had to buy all your stuff, okay, So you

(45:14):
go and you buy all your stuff, and they're on
low margins, very low margins. So you buy all your stuff.
You in theory would have to pay taxes. Okay, so
you got to pay thirty percent. So thirty percent would
be three million dollars. The issue is, though, you can't
write anything off, so what do you have. Well, at
the end of the year, your profit may only be
one hundred thousand dollars now though you've got to pay

(45:38):
three million dollars for your one hundred thousand dollars profit,
which is insane because there's no tax write offs. There
is nothing you can do for the most part, because
you've been banned from the banking industry, which means you're
banned from all of the other stuff that comes with it,
including dealing with taxes and a certain including writing everything off.

(46:03):
I mean, it's nuts. So this will give them opportunity
to get big investments, to have the opportunity to have
big weed step in and start to research, which means
pharmaceutical companies now will probably want to get in the

(46:26):
game in a much different way to find out what
they can do. That's why this is a big deal,
because this puts them on a footing that they never
even though it's still a scheduled three drug that they
never thought they would have potentially.

Speaker 16 (46:44):
Ever, this is an administrative order. Trump's been very clear
all along the question was could we get this in
front of Trump and could it be something that has
enough of a priority. It's very clear that the industry
has engaged Washington in a way that I think is
much more sensible, much more focused. I think there's no
question that top CEOs have been in mar A Lago,

(47:06):
have been in DC, have been working with the president's team.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
The implications for.

Speaker 16 (47:10):
This are are incredible for the industry, and I do
think that this is the kind of a domino to
fall that would get other things going that don't necessarily
have to be legislative fall through either, including exchange listings,
which I think is the holy grail here because that
really would bring in institutional capital if you're investing in cannabis.
Here there's not institutional capital.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
Institutional capital, the big dollars and the big people involved
is a lady by the name of Kim Rivers who
has I think it is truely like believe a true leave.
She used to employ working for Susie Wiles. So let's

(47:53):
just say there was a trip to mar A Lago
than a trip from her from Marlow Kim Rivers, the
head CEO of trueleve to the Oval office, and so yeah,
this is how it gets done. Call it corruption, call
it whatever you want, ladies and gentlemen, but uh, if
there are opportunities to invest in big weed, now might

(48:15):
be the time. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your ex
your insta chedd Are you telling me that those stocks
want to go high? They might want to go ha
is what I'm trying to tell you right there. I
know it's cheesy, but just deal with it. Relief Factor

a little too much, you watch what happens when you
start taking this every single day. It is awesome right now,
three week jump start just nineteen ninety five. That's less
than a cup of coffee day. This is what I

(49:22):

relief factor dot Com. Call one eight hundred for relief
one eight hundred the number four relief. Get yourself some
relief factor. Put them to the test. You will not
be disappointed one eight hundred the number four relief and
tell them Chad Senya Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
The holidays are here. I spent a whole bunch of
money yesterday on making sure my son could come here.
So excited about that damn sodam expensive. We went shopping
last night. I was like, sweet mother of God, what
are you giving everybody this year? What have I told you? Guys? Hugs? Right, hugs?
Not for me. I'm giving other people hugs from other people,

(50:15):
So that way, don't touch anybody. But if you are
going to travel, and many people are, you have to
learn the smart way of doing things. Hacks, as the
youth would say, what are the travel hacks? Chad tell
us what the travel hacks? Tell us how we can
get onto things easier, smoother, that there are tricks and

(50:36):
tips that make sure that everything is smooth and easy
for us on our journey.

Speaker 17 (50:42):
Okay, big crowds, packed flights, welcome to holiday travel.

Speaker 9 (50:47):
But I fear not.

Speaker 17 (50:48):
These travel hacks will make the season a bit more
jolly and bright. Need a TV stand to stay entertained
during the flight, you can use your hat you just connected.

Speaker 18 (50:58):
Here through the clips, and then watch this your favorite
show right here, hands free, no hat. Try this, and
all you need is the sick bag that they give
you right here in the seatback. Watch this clip it here,
take your phone, put the case behind it, and then
jam it in there and look at that hands free viewing.

Speaker 17 (51:20):
How about a little more elbow room in those tight
fitting seats.

Speaker 18 (51:24):
If this armrest is kind of getting in your way here,
kind of annoying, watch this. Just follow along here. There's
actually a button under here you can press and watch
this whila armrest goes up.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
A more elbow room. Okay, Now the elbow room thing
is interesting. So when if you're on the aisle and
you have the handle, go all the way to where
the handle's almost to the seat, and there's a button
back there and you can then pull that up. Okay,
So again we're teaching you here things that are going

(51:58):
to help you in the travel season. And then there's
one other thing that I think I can help you
with don't travel. It's also that one that's a pretty
good chent. I'm just saying, people say, well, what are
you doing this holiday season? Not traveling. Everybody's coming to
us because the kids want to come out here because
I miss them. You know how it is you miss

(52:19):
the kids. They want to come see fantastic I'm super
excited three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson Show. Is your extra instant YouTube,
Facebook and more? Right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Jack and I have major plans, which will be he'll
hug me and then play with this and hang out
with this, play with his baby sister for a little while,
and then hang out with his best friend, which is

(52:40):
my stepdaughter Lily. But that's a great holiday for me.
Makes me smile. So again, travel hack number one, don't travel.
Travel hack number two probably don't travel. You're welcome. Speaking
of the holidays, we're going over the best Christmas presents,
the hottest gifts this holiday season. And it's funny because
like Cosmopolitans, like this is ours and you're looking at

(53:02):
it going, uh no. First of all, hey guys, hey guys,
why don't you do this get your wife a pilates set,
because that's one of the big things. It's like the
hot item.

Speaker 9 (53:13):
Do that?

Speaker 2 (53:13):
See how that goes for you?

Speaker 16 (53:15):
Right?

Speaker 2 (53:15):
See how that goes for your wife? Right? Does you?
Guys battle three kids? You guys are exhausted and you're like, hey, honey,
you know what you could do? Pilates? You know what
I would like something to sit in the middle of
the room. That'd be awesome. Something I could trip over
in the middle of the night when I'm going to
the bathroom. And could you imagine if she doesn't ask
for the plates? Are you saying, I'm fat? Well no,

(53:38):
but what so that's one of them. And then it's
all stuff that's just would you like this amazing little
it's it's a Highland cow that's inside of a cardboard
thing and its name is hug Scottie and that's four
thousand gazillion dollars.

Speaker 5 (53:57):
What's it do?

Speaker 2 (53:58):
Is it really a cow? No? What?

Speaker 9 (54:01):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Man? Where's the regular presence? That's what I want to know,
I think is what everybody wants, and we want regular stuff.
I'm gonna start doing a regular stuff guide, maybe starting
a little bit later today. Regular stuff that people actually
want for Christmas. You're missing the show.

Speaker 16 (54:17):
Shame on.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
You read the podcast this is the Chad Benson.

Speaker 9 (54:20):
Show, then Chad Benson Show, the.

Speaker 1 (54:42):
Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
If they ever look at my uber eats, I will
be in trouble. If you guys didn't hear this on
Saturday Night Live the other day or see it, it
was haw hilarious.

Speaker 7 (54:53):
It is the end of the year, and you know
what that means, honey, Spotify raptors drop.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Oh my god.

Speaker 10 (54:59):
I love when they do this.

Speaker 19 (55:01):
It's a way of looking back at who you were
in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
It's really dan.

Speaker 16 (55:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (55:06):
That tracks with shareable stats showing how you compared to
people around the world.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
I'm in Sabrina Carpenter's top one percent.

Speaker 12 (55:13):
That's so neat.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
So you're thinking, oh, this sounds fun, right Spotified rap
everybody knows wants to know what everybody spotified rap is.
But what if it wasn't Spotify.

Speaker 19 (55:23):
Well, now there's another way to look back at who
you truly were this year, introducing uber eats rapped.

Speaker 5 (55:30):
Oh no, no, thank you.

Speaker 19 (55:33):
We have studied your patterns and crunched the numbers.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
Oh no, I.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
Understood what it was I just don't like that and
I don't want that.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Well, we did it anyway.

Speaker 19 (55:42):
Now you can find out which restaurants you couldn't live without.

Speaker 10 (55:45):
Taco Bell, five Guys, Burger, Jings, Pola.

Speaker 12 (55:48):
Guess that explains why the plumber's always here.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
It's not always here and it's awful.

Speaker 18 (55:53):
Oh thanks, man, I got you, and learn what you
in a choke hold because I'm in the top one
of nuggets.

Speaker 5 (56:01):
What does that even mean?

Speaker 10 (56:02):
Take a wild gust, David.

Speaker 18 (56:03):
What do I eat more nuggets than ninety nine percent
of the world.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
That can't be true. You're eating nuggets right now. It
is so true. It is. And man, I tell you what,
I don't even want to know what our uber eats is.
This is I do not want to know, but this
was I just like, no, I know what it is.

(56:27):
I don't want to know what it is. I don't
want to know what I bought.

Speaker 19 (56:32):
And based on your order history, are moth wizards have
determined your uber eats age.

Speaker 7 (56:37):
My top food was Churo's and my uber eats age
is dead better.

Speaker 1 (56:41):
Than mine fifty two in fat.

Speaker 12 (56:43):
I'm a way about fat.

Speaker 20 (56:45):
I do who what woman in the world would like
when you just did the only one serving this year.

Speaker 19 (56:52):
Check out all the looks you wore to greet your
Uber drivers.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
Who would I even share these with?

Speaker 19 (56:58):
And be calculated exactly how much money you spent on
uber eats this year twenty.

Speaker 14 (57:04):
Four thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (57:07):
Give me one second.

Speaker 19 (57:11):
Personalized messages from the restaurants they kept you fed.

Speaker 17 (57:14):
Thank you so much, Melissa. Because of you, we are
the number one Wendy's in the country.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Just hit me, it's Uber eats wrapped. Do you have
to tell people you're going to do this?

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Who are you out of your mind? He kept poking
her to the stomach. Oh lord, we spent way too
much on uber eats. I know that. I know that
this next year is going to be once a week
kind of thing. If that the average person spends about

(57:50):
two hundred and thirty bucks a year on Uber eats.
That's the average person that's not a family or whatever,
because it'd be probably closer to a thousand, But that's
just the average end of visual spends about two hundred
and twenty two hundred, well two twenty eight, so we'll
say two thirty on on the foods form Uber eats.
I'd be pizza. I think we have an amazing pizza

(58:12):
place here. I'd probably be pizza. We don't get much
like the fast food. We we have one or two
places that we love and we go to, but it's
it's I Yeah, pizza, there's no doubt, Chen, you're pizza.
Oh that's no, no, thank you. Speaking of uber eats,
so do you remember this last week? Talked about it?
So you got the the door Dash Uber EATI person,

(58:35):
I know, I think she was. Door Dash cruises over
to a house and apparently she's not thrilled already by it.
For whatever reason, she decides she's going to spray bear
spray on their food. We got an update last week.

Speaker 21 (58:49):
We told you about door Josh driver Courtney Stevenson, seen
in this video appearing to pepper spray a beg of food.
Homeowner Mark Harden says his wife Mandy felt sake after
eating the food at their home in Indiana.

Speaker 22 (59:03):
I went back and watched the footage from my doorbell
camera and realized that the food had been tampered with.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Yeah, food had been tampered with. She sprayed the food,
allegedly with bear spray. Now her excuse is spectacular.

Speaker 21 (59:24):
Now the DoorDash driver is getting a delivery of her
own as two cops come to her home to arrest her.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
Do you have any idea what we're here?

Speaker 23 (59:32):
Probably the thing out of Indiana?

Speaker 21 (59:35):
Lam Moments later, I'll come the handcuffs ring it back
for me.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
Okay.

Speaker 21 (59:41):
Courtney Stevenson is charged with consumer product tampering and battery.

Speaker 24 (59:45):
But get this, she's selling cops she was spraying a spider,
not the food. She says she's terrified of the critters.
The local sheriff in Indiana isn't buying it.

Speaker 5 (59:56):
I think of all the.

Speaker 16 (59:57):
Things you might want to use to defeat us, spider,
pepper spray's probably pretty low on.

Speaker 15 (01:00:02):
On the list.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
You don't know that how big is the spider was
as big as a bear, and it also apparently lived
on their food. Yeah, she's not there anymore, Just to
let you know. And staying with the theme of stuff
on the porch, porch pirates. It's that time of year
where you know porch pirates those people that show up

(01:00:23):
and take your stuff because they suck.

Speaker 12 (01:00:27):
It is the height of the holiday shopping season and.

Speaker 15 (01:00:30):
One of the most popular destinations for unscrupulous bargain hunters.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Is your front porch.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
I was so mad. I was just mad.

Speaker 8 (01:00:38):
Atlanta resident Tanya Shepherd says it happened to her in
the middle of the day last month, a thief stealing
her packages on a busy street. Security footage shows the
porch pirate wave unsuspectingly to the camera, look to see
if the clast is clear, then make off with boxes.
Are you hesitant to order?

Speaker 25 (01:00:56):
I think you have to order in this day and time,
But I do try to be more mindful about knowing
when things are coming.

Speaker 8 (01:01:02):
Shepherd's packages were among the roughly two hundred and fifty
thousand that are stolen nationwide every day. A study from
home safety research company safe Wise estimated the total value
of the items lost in the past yere alone at
nearly fifteen billion dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
That is insane. Fifteen billion dollars from porch pirates. That's crazy,
But it's free. I mean in my building, I mean
it's all locked up at everything. But I will tell
you in my building, the Amazon, everybody just drops stuff.
There's times so there's ten to fifteen boxes and packages

(01:01:39):
up in somebody's on vacation or whatnot.

Speaker 6 (01:01:41):
It's nuts.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
And again our building is you know, it's kind of
it's hard to get into. And I see all the
time when I'm driving down the street or walking in
the houses they've got the Amazon guy will get out,
just walk right up and just scan it, put the
right on the thing and just think anybody can just
walk up and take it.

Speaker 8 (01:01:58):
As online holiday shopping rams up, seeing thieves take off
with goods is on the rise, prompting federal lawmakers to
mull over legislation including fines up to two hundred and
fifty thousand dollars and up to ten years in prison.

Speaker 17 (01:02:12):
Stealing any package will carry the same federal punishments across
the board.

Speaker 26 (01:02:16):
We stick with the three d's deter, detect, and deny.

Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
Nick B.

Speaker 8 (01:02:22):
Thomas is the chief marketing officer for Atlanta based Akroman
Security Systems.

Speaker 26 (01:02:26):
On the porch, if you have some sort of light
associated with your camera, they're not going to test it.
You want the burglar to say, uh, I ain't doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Well, yeah, that's what you want. That's why I've got
what's in the box? What's you reachrhand in there? Find out?
This will be fantastic. What is it?

Speaker 9 (01:02:47):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Reachrand and then find out. But you know, what we
live in a day and age where if you got
if you had something delivered right. And for years I've
had all kinds of things delivered to my house because
I've collected exotic animals and and whatnot. And you know,
you just you know, sometimes people don't get like you're
supposed to have it signed. For my big stuff, you
always had to go to the airport and pick it

(01:03:08):
up from there, and you had to go in and sign.
But could you imagine if some idiot just didn't realize
that just dropped something there and the next thing you know, boom,
or you've got the you booby trap one of these things.
You know, your ass is going to get sued, because
that's the world we live in.

Speaker 8 (01:03:23):
Tanya Shepherd says, while what she lost can be replaced,
she's being more vigilant about what she buys and when
it arrives.

Speaker 25 (01:03:30):
You think of people who couldn't afford to rebuy packages,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 12 (01:03:34):
Or what if you.

Speaker 25 (01:03:34):
Had a kid and it was that one president and
that's what got taken off your port.

Speaker 27 (01:03:38):
Only eleven states and Washington DC have laws on the
books specifically addressing porch piracy, with five others considering similar
legislation penalties right now, Morris and John range between six
months in jail to thirty years.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
But you got to steal to get thirty years, and
that's kind of you got to steal something big. I
would assume to get thirty years in for porch pirrating
should have a little boat as you roll up. I
am the captain though of your stuff three two, three, five,

Benson Show, Welcome to Chess.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
No, not the country, the institution is the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
It is that time of the day where we educate
ourselves a little bit more. You know, I hang out
with a lot of the youngsters because I have kids
and they're young, and hearing the words like riz and whatnot,
you're like, what the hell does riz even mean? Even
watching one of my Hallmark movies, one of the kids says,
do you think I have riz? And the people are
like what And she's like, charisma, why didn't you say that?

(01:06:22):
But it's a different language, even though it's kind of
the same language. If you guys get where I'm going.
It's that time of day. Now, it's time for the
urban word of the day. The young have a vocabularity
all their own, and we break it down for you.
It's called the urban word of the day. All right,
let's start with the urban word of the day. Got

(01:06:42):
a good one here. Niche famous, niche famous. So if
you don't what niche famous is, this is a person
who's famous within his subset community, but would not be
considered famous in the mainstream. Okay, so there, so if
you I mean, there's a difference between being you know,

(01:07:04):
some people who are popular on the interwebs, obviously influencers
and stuff like that, niche famous. You go places and
you're like, oh, because when I was at the super
Bowl a couple of years ago, Gatos and I are
at the super Bowl doing our show. From there, the
TikTok people were behind me, a lot of niche famous
people that had like one thing. But it's like, oh,
that's so and so and such and such and they

(01:07:26):
do this, and you're like, what else they do? That's it.
You're like, okay, okay, that's what they do. So niche famous, right,
cult kind of fame is what you're thinking here, all right,
so and this is the the when you go, okay, well,
give us a way we can use in a sentence,

(01:07:47):
Bob says, Hey, Sean Wilsey's a legend. He's famous. John
only in the small icelandic amateur geologist world. He's niche famous.
Oh yeah, yeah, niche famous. Is your urban word oh
the day? That was the urban word of the day. Now,
you know, Speaking of words, Marion Webster has released their

(01:08:14):
word Oh the year? What could it be?

Speaker 20 (01:08:18):
Merriam Webster announced its word of twenty twenty five, and
it's called slop.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:08:26):
The dictionary defines it as digital content of low quality
that is produced usually in quantity, by means of artificial intelligence.
Miriam Webster, president calls it an illustrative word, saying, quote,
it's part of a transformative technology AI. He also says
it's something people have found fascinating, annoying, and a little

(01:08:47):
bit ridiculous.

Speaker 28 (01:08:49):
Oh see, I think a slop is something you would
eat that didn't taste good.

Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
It's slop.

Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
Yeah, I thought a pick slop I did.

Speaker 19 (01:08:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:08:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
You know.

Speaker 28 (01:08:56):
We have mentioned other words of the year here on kvdbreak.
So dictionary dot com has said six seven Oxford picked
rage bait and Cambridge Dictionary had parasocial.

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Parasocial I remember that one. So those of the rage bait,
all of that stuff is craziness and chaos. We've heard
about those things. But this right here, slop is just
crap AI and AI is everywhere. It's to the point
now where it's just so insane. Speaking of words, I
came across this day. I found this to be very

(01:09:30):
very interesting. Are you guys ready for this? These are
words used at the turn of the last century that
would be considered their kind of you know, hip and
urban words. Some of it is just hilarious ampersan. We
know what that is, right nineteen hundreds the turn of
you know, eighteen and nineteennreds it was. But what yeah,

(01:09:55):
that was the slang for butt, like check out our
ampersand whoa what knee dusters?

Speaker 18 (01:10:03):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
What are those? So this was big in the late
eighteen hundreds into the early nineteen hundreds. Okay, so short
dresses were given the name knee dusters. So when you
would look at the lady wearing a short dress and say,
check out the mini skirt, they'd be like, oh, they'll
check out the knee duster over there. Huh, look at that?

(01:10:26):
Look at that. Oh scoff law to mock or to
jeer with law, it means exactly what it sounds like,
a person who proudly flaunts the law. Oh man, check
that guy out there. He's scofflaw sodally scofflawing it everywhere

(01:10:50):
because he's flouting and flaunting and flouting the law. Whatever
the hell that he's doing that shouldn't be doing. Speaking
of not doing, salt and pepper. Salt and pepper was
slang in the forties for the marijuana.

Speaker 12 (01:11:03):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
One of the many slangs back then reefer reefer, passion pits,
passion pits, so drive in movie theaters peaked in the fifties.
There was four thousand across the US by the end
of the decade. So you can go there see the

(01:11:26):
cheap bee movies and all that kind of stuff. So
you bring your sweetheart there and you locked lips about
the wheel of your Ford thunderbird. Guess what those were?
Passion pits. That's what they called the theatos at that time.
And here's one from our time. By our time, I
mean me and chen Zi. Grody. Grody was partially spelled

(01:11:46):
groa t y, and that's how they initially spelled. Then
they changed it to gro d y in the mid sixties,
but by the time it got to the eighties, valley girl,
things of that nature. Grody means dirty or gross.

Speaker 14 (01:12:03):
Oh damn.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four to twenty three.
At Chad Benson Show is your Acts, your Insta, your YouTube,
Facebook and more. Don't miss any of the show because
if you do, that'll be grody and not tubular. Right
here on the Chad Benson Show, coming up, our number
three of the program. Talk to our buddy Mike Liones

(01:12:27):
about all the chaos, the craziness, the lunacy going on globally,
including the latest about Venezuela, what's going on there, what
will be going on top of that, Ukraine, how close
are we to getting some sort of deal done with Ukraine?
And then of course probably touch a little bit on

(01:12:49):
what's going on in Palestine, in Israel, that cease fire
that never seems to be ceasing of the firing, if
that makes sense as well. If you're missing the show,
don't because again that'll be grody. Coming up our number three,
the program, Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
You love everybody, you guys, reach out to us. It's
awesome three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty
three at Chad Benson Show is your ex and whatnot?
And we tell you we give you all those things
because I tried to get back to everybody as much
as possible. We've been talking last couple of days. Obviously healthcare,
big issue, affordability, healthcare. You hear it all the time.

(01:13:55):
It's caller talked about what we were talking about yesterday and earlier,
which is you've got to do something of the Republicans
when it comes to healthcare. Whether you like it or not,
you have to face the fact that it's in your court.
The ball boom, it's landed there. What do you do?
You make the smart play? You extend the game one year, meaning, hey,

(01:14:17):
we're going to keep these subsidies for one year. Then
we're going to grind out a new way that we're
going to do healthcare, which is going to be better
for everybody in America. But you put it back on
the Democrats. So if they say no, we don't want it,
Americans will go hold on a second. Three years might
have been a bit much, but one year was more
than reasonable to try to fix this thing. And you
guys chose not to do it. That's going to be

(01:14:38):
a you problem at that point in time.

Speaker 29 (01:14:40):
Yeah, I just want to comment. I totally agree with
you by extending this current rate on assurance for a year,
throw it.

Speaker 30 (01:14:51):
Back on the Democrat.

Speaker 29 (01:14:53):
Well, put yourself in a.

Speaker 30 (01:14:54):
Situation where you're the rational party. Did you want to
come to an agreement or a resolution of these uh
these assurance.

Speaker 29 (01:15:05):
Policy of insurance policy uh that people have to pay.

Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
Uh.

Speaker 29 (01:15:10):
I just think that the Democrats are.

Speaker 6 (01:15:13):
Just totally and never never land and God.

Speaker 29 (01:15:16):
Willing that would that would probably help us out in
the next collection, but most of all to try to
come to some kind of bipartisan resolution. And yeah, you
say no the Democrats are going to do it.

Speaker 12 (01:15:29):
Well, they probably.

Speaker 29 (01:15:30):
Won't, but you know what, at least we'll show the rationality, uh,
the maturity of our of our party to say, you
know what, we're willing to work this out for a year.
And I think that would make a huge difference.

Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
Thank you, correct, because unfortunately, this right now isn't about
fixing the healthcare system that's already broke ass. This is
about extending for a year and putting yourself in a
position where okay, right now, let's be on honest affordability.
That's not a pretend word. It's not a made up word. Okay,

(01:16:03):
this isn't some some you know gen you know, alpha
millennial gen z word right like Vibe session that we
talked about yesterday. This is a real issue here, and
you've got to figure out how that you can do
everything you can to take as much off of your
potential roadblock, and that would absolutely be healthcare. You have

(01:16:30):
to deal with it in a way that throws it
back at them and then This is not about fixing healthcare.
This is about buying time so you can actually sit
down and God willing, they come to some sort of
real fix where they sit down and go, all right,
how do we fix this damn thing? All right, it's broke,
you know. I mean, if we had witch doctors today,

(01:16:52):
the premiums would be three thousand dollars and your deductor
would be half a million, if we had all old
West doctors, right, like, Hey, what's wrong with you? Well,
I sprained my knee and I got a splinter. Well,
here here's a woodpecker. Put it in your ear, and
then go outside and yell in the dirt. There may
be nothing I can do for you. That'll be seventeen

(01:17:13):
Oh you haven't hit your deductible yet. That's what kind
of mess that we find ourselves in. So this isn't
about fixing it. This is about putting enough you know,
tape and glue and all the other crap you can
tie it up rope to push it into a position

(01:17:37):
where you can fix it next year. Because you're already
going up against it. It's a midterm. You're you're holding
all the cards because you're the president and the president's
You know, let's be real, You've got everything, got the House,
you got the Senate presidency. People are always looking for
some sort of balance, if you will. So what are
you gonna do at that point in time?

Speaker 23 (01:17:58):
Yeah, you know, Donald Trump was elect to solve the
economic crist to solve the pricing crisis. But at this
particular point, these numbers are going in the complete wrong
direction on the economy. The country is going in the
wrong track the right track. You go back to January,
these numbers were pretty split right, forty three percent said
wrong track, thirty six percent said right track.

Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
Right when Donald Trump came.

Speaker 23 (01:18:16):
In office, but look at that that wrong track number
had skyrocketed up to fifty six percent. My goodness, gracious
who say that the country, at least when it comes
to the economy, is on the wrong track. And that
right track number has fallen into twenty nine percent.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
So what was a single digit.

Speaker 23 (01:18:31):
Spread has ballooned up to a twenty seven point spread
in the negative direction. The bottom line is this, Donald
Trump is trying to spin a narrative and the American
people aren't buying the spin that is coming out of
the White House.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
No they're not. And then yesterday. I'll be honest. You
know what, when you and I both know we talk
about this all the time, it doesn't matter what is sports, right,
everything going to be hell inside of the locker room.
You're winning. Nobody cares right winning that never leaves the
locker room, and everybody goes eh when you go and

(01:19:06):
you tweet out or truth out of whatever the hell
it was about Rob Reiner and you know how he
had Trump de arrangement syndrome, that's why he was killed.
And you start pissing off people that I get tweets
and texts from who are staunch supporters, who are maga
through and through saying you know what this This was
a bit too far for me. This was I would

(01:19:28):
say this yesterday so on my local show. You know,
because I get text throughout the day anywhere between god
knows times hundreds of texts a day, sometimes a lot
more than that. But yesterday, one text in support of Trump,
one text in this. When you hear stuff going negative,

(01:19:52):
that's why you need to pivot. That's my thing, not
that I don't want him to succeed. Absolutely, this is
even about Trump. This is about the Republican Party. This
is about finding your footing and resetting the game rather
than hoping things are going to work out well and
then lashing out. I mean, when you've got Megan Kelly right,

(01:20:14):
when you've got the likes of even lonely Scott Over
at CNN going yeah, I can't square this one. That's
an issue, that is, and when you got poll numbers
not going well, everything becomes bigger than it probably should be.
Although I will say this, whatever you want to call it,
it was classless. Let's be honest. It was classless. And

(01:20:37):
then to double down and say, you know, essentially America
is better off without him. That was This wasn't somebody
how he died? All of that stuff. You take a
step back. And by the way, for those of you
out there on the right, this isn't about Charlie Kirk
because idiots and moron said something horrific about Charlie Kirk.

(01:20:58):
Who have you know, two hundred followers or a thousand
followers or it doesn't even matter, just awful, small, petty
people trying to get likes and clicks thinking they're going
to be ooh, this is my hot take. It's not
the president of the United States. All right, we can
do better as humans as people. Absolutely, speaking of Rob Reiner,

(01:21:18):
his son, kind of the worst kept secret in Hollywood
is how bad he is. And they did a movie.
Being Charlie was the movie they did about him and
his life and their relationship. But he's in jail now,
and it's a horrible thing. I was reading a couple
of texts from people who live in that area. So

(01:21:41):
his daughter and grandchild lived across the street from them,
and then they were like a massive presence in that area.
Their houses were all decorated. This this was awful and
to know that you're you know that he's gone. The

(01:22:03):
family's completely just not only devastated, but the fact that
your brother is the one who most likely did it.
I was going to say alleged, but I don't think
they're looking for anybody else. And the horror of which
they did it, or he did it is is It's awful,

(01:22:24):
it is. And he had a lot of trouble from
what I understand he had. So he's been in out
of rehab for since he was fifteen, some seventeen, eighteen, nineteen,
times in and out of rehab, hardcore drugs, homeless in
several different states, should have died multiple times, and now

(01:22:48):
he started to slip. I would say about six seven
months ago they're talking about really got bad. The last
couple months fell off the wagon and it got somewhat ugly.
I think it was Conan O'Brien's house on Saturday at
a Christmas party and than the tragedy, the horrors. He

(01:23:10):
also had severe mental illness. So it is a horrible thing.
We can do better as Americans. You know, I grew
up in and around drugs and had seen the horrors
of what drugs can do to my dad, which eventually
took his life, to my sister whose life is a

(01:23:32):
hot mess in and out of jail. So you know,
this is Did anybody expect this? Probably not, but there's
no doubt that drugs are They do not care about
color of your skin, your faith, They don't care about

(01:23:53):
who you love, that's tall you are. They just are
there and people get it and because of that, they
do awful things. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, it's your

So yesterday was pretty bad, right, like Tiny Tim that
whole song about Sanaka and age that was do was awful.
Let's be honest. It was awful, but he was trying
to make a statement and it was quirky, and it
was never meant to be played on the radio, and
he didn't even really have a chance to record it

(01:24:38):
till later. Today was a real damn song by a
real big artist, and it is really sad. I tell
you what, Starting tomorrow, we're gonna have a lot more fun.
I promise you that when it comes to the Christmas

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:26:36):
Now it's time to find out what's trending. What's trending?

Speaker 22 (01:26:41):
James Dean, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serene Boone.

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
Lot truping, it's finding out it's trending on the old interwebs.
If we shall starting the magical world? Hell yeah, yeah?
Who was always fun? A lot of wacky stuff, wacky
stuff there obviously, Rob Reiner, Bond a beat, shooting, Michigan coaching, search,

(01:27:27):
Russia Ukraine War, which we're gonna talk about a little
bit with everybuddy. Mike Clions go and join the program.
White House says ballroom construction must continue for national security reasons,
not for ego chat. How could you say that? Head
over to Google. Anthony Geary talked to my aunt yesterday

(01:27:52):
and to my producer, actually broken on air. Anthony Gary
passed away. If you don't know who he is, he
was Luke of Luke and Laura, the fame of General Hospital,
my producer that if you saw so, this is my
afternoon produced local show. His name is Belle bellk long hair.
She just looks like he stepped straight out of a
metal band. He's like, that was like one of my

(01:28:14):
favorite things to do. I want to talk to my
aunt last night, who follows very little on any of
the stuff she goes. Can you believe Luke died? I know,
Sad Steelers, Rob Reiner, Trump and Rob Reiner. Yeah, man,
United Bourmouth? What a game? Football? Turtle island, Turtle Island.

(01:28:34):
I like turtles, not these turtles. You don't. We're finally
too X which marks the spot false claims of Robert
de Niro's terminal cancer. What that's spread online? Yeah, that's crazy,
Rob Reiner, his wife obviously Rob Reiner's son Nick trending.

(01:28:59):
Donald Trump announced it's his engagement at a White House
Christmas party. So that's nice. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Shows, your X, Insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and more right here on The Chad Benson Show, Matt Stafford, Holocaust,
Hanika Tuesday trending. It's always nice to have Tuesday trending

(01:29:20):
because that's today. We're in Prediction and the Muslim and
I know what that is. So that feels like it's
a show. All things trending in the magical world of Ers. Yeah,
the Turtle Island thing we've touched on a little bit.
If you don't know what it is, it's insane. But
they were called the Turtle Island Liberation Front so TILF,

(01:29:44):
and apparently they were gonna blow stuff up, and they
finally took them down over the weekend or released last Friday.

Speaker 7 (01:29:51):
And these arrests actually took place last Friday, when prosecutors
said that they all convened in the Mojave Desert where
they got together around a table, and there were pictures
in this complaint where they put all of their materials
that they had gathered over the past couple of weeks,
and they started to construct these pipe bombs. They put
up a tent that prosecutor said was in order to

(01:30:12):
shield the components of the pipe bombs from the sun.
And then as they were about to, you know, put
the final touches on creating these pipe bombs, that's when
federal agents moved in and effectuated these arrests last Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
So you had four that would arrest in California, I
think one in New Orleans. Not quite sure what the
connection is there, but supposedly on New Year's Eve they
were going to blow things up they hate capitalism and
you know, there to free I don't know Palestine, whatever
the cause tosure of the day is. And for those
who are not keeping score, they are a far left
radical group, which we need to remind everybody at this

(01:30:48):
point in time that the far right is the dangerous group.
Speaking of danger globally. Lots of issues, Palestine, Israel issue,
Ukraine's still an issue, Venezuela issue. Mike Lyons, nolitary annals,
joins the program. Sure it had Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 9 (01:31:03):
Fun, Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (01:31:26):
At that time of the week, our favorite times a week,
talk to the best military analysts in the business. It's hard.
Major of the Army and a guy who was licking
his wounds after the last second victory by the midshipman
over Army. Mike Lyons joins the program. Sorry about the
lost brother.

Speaker 11 (01:31:40):
And ched, I know you had to bring it up,
but we had to deal with it. It was tough
watching Navy go on to victory. You know, Horvath, you like, Yeah,
it's hard not to like them. It's hard not to
like that team accomplished a lot this year. Navy did
onto them.

Speaker 10 (01:31:54):
But here we go.

Speaker 11 (01:31:55):
We're we're on the next year, three hundred and sixty
four and abut days until Army beats Navy in the
meadow Lands next year in twenty twenty six, looking forward.

Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
To what's the atmosphere like when you're there, because it looks,
you know, it's one of those things where college football,
for all the grandeur of the SEC and all the
other things, they get out of the way for this
particular weekend.

Speaker 10 (01:32:15):
Yeah, it's electric.

Speaker 11 (01:32:17):
If you haven't been there, it's a bucket, you know,
item list for sure.

Speaker 10 (01:32:20):
Everyone's all in there.

Speaker 11 (01:32:21):
It's that, you know, it's the game where everybody on
the field is willing to die for everybody watching the
watching the game. So it is it's bucket, bucket atam list.
You haven't been there, You and I are going at
some point, brother, we're gonna we got to go see
that game.

Speaker 2 (01:32:31):
Absolutely all right. Now, let's talk about actual military stuff
that's going on unfortunately, because we'd all like to know
that there was no military stuff. Let's first and foremost
start with the Ukraine, because how close are they getting
anything done with this? I think they'd like to have
something by Christmas. I feel like the administration's trying to
check off something on the list. But the reality is
I feel like every second you hear oh yeah, I

(01:32:52):
think we're getting close. And then the other side of
it is like, I don't think you guys are anywhere
close to getting anything.

Speaker 10 (01:32:57):
Done, Chad.

Speaker 11 (01:32:57):
The battlefield math has not changed. And then until that changes,
I don't see Russia doing anything. You know, you've got
European leaders now doing more to push this piece framework,
so to speak. I know Trump is over selling it.
Deals closer than ever Natal forces, you know, are going
to possibly be part of the peace and security guarantees

(01:33:19):
to Kiev, but Russia will continue to drive on the
fact that the Ukraine military can't keep you know, they
can't keep this up from very much longer. As Russia
continues to try to drive holes to much of their
defensive end perimeters, they're running out of AMMO all those things. Now,
we also know that the draw technology that Russia has improved,

(01:33:39):
it's almost better than what Ukraine is producing right now.
But then we also know Ukraine continues to innovate. But again,
I just don't see Russia agreeing to anything because the
battlefield math just hasn't changed.

Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
This yet so if they're not agreeing to anything, is
the you know, because Trump's not going anywhere, you know,
in theory for another three years. This isn't good last
for another three years, because there's no way, I mean,
Trump eventually is gonna He's just gonna pull the plug,
it looks like. And so that leaves the European what
can the Europeans realistically supply them with they can keep

(01:34:12):
them going.

Speaker 11 (01:34:13):
Well, interesting report over the weekend at sixty minutes regarding
the German military and how they are. They're back, and
you've got a lot of folks that are concerned about that.
But I mean it's been you know, obviously eighty years
since you know, the Third Reich and all the last
time Germany decided to mobilize. I'm glad the Germans are
back in the game in that regard. But perhaps the
Europeans got this wake up call and maybe by I

(01:34:36):
don't know, twenty twenty nine, I can think as their
objective is to is to have their military restore to
what it once was, which was, let's say that of
a country that could defend itself like it did that's
in the eighties and nineties.

Speaker 10 (01:34:49):
But Europe is going to likely have to do more.

Speaker 11 (01:34:52):
And you're right, Trump will say enough is enough at
some point and he'll back out. And if he can't,
if he can't get a deal, because he's not gonna wait,
he's not gonna he's not going to let this this
and go.

Speaker 10 (01:35:01):
He wants to have some kind of piece deal.

Speaker 11 (01:35:04):
And frankly, he still views Russia as this nuclear threat,
existential threat to the US, and he'll he'll, i won't
say side with them, but he'll recognize that that they
have all the cards. And that's what he's told Zelensky
before in the past. And I still think he's not
willing to give Zelensky the leverage he needs to try
to change the battlefield math.

Speaker 2 (01:35:22):
Talking to Michael Liance, we talk about all things military,
you know, as we talk about Russia, we don't really
much talk about Ukraine outside is Lensky you have any sense, like,
not just the battlefield, but what's the average person Kiev
thinking each and every single day as they see this thing,
you know, feeling like it's hopeless and it's just it's
it's rinse and repeat.

Speaker 10 (01:35:42):
Yeah. Interesting.

Speaker 11 (01:35:43):
I talked to some a Ukraine soldier that left the
Battlefield a few years ago. But it's working with a
couple of foundations that they're trying to look for more
avenues to get dollars in technology into Ukraine, and they're
really actually not happy with him on some level. I
think he's going to end up being this Churchill type

(01:36:03):
prime minister while he's fighting the conflict right now. We
saw that the British didn't have much to do with
Winston Churchill once once the World War was over. I
think that's the possibility here, and I think I don't
think that's keeping him from making a deal. I think
he might know that as well himself. I don't I
didn't kind of understand all the politics around that, but
they just feel that they're just concerned that they got

(01:36:27):
him in the situation to begin with, and Zelensky, you know,
was part of the reason why this whole thing happened.
So it was an interesting take that I had. But
they want the war to stop, but they're also likely
they're going to move quickly because of the level of
corruption that it still exists in our country once once
it does happen, all.

Speaker 2 (01:36:45):
Right, move from there to Venezuela. Another some more boats
were hit. I couldn't tell you what any of this
looks like. I think it's not if, but when, but
when it happens, I have no idea what looks like.
You always say, Chad, once the army starts showing up,
then there's some serious stuff. But that doesn't seem to
be happening, at least not in mass numbers. But now

(01:37:07):
Trinidad said, you guys can bring your arms here. America
start landing stuff here. So it feels like they're setting
this thing up for something.

Speaker 10 (01:37:14):
I still don't see it.

Speaker 11 (01:37:15):
And again we saw the three strikes that took place
yesterday in the Pacific on the other side, so the
Pacific means are not even coming out of Allenzuelle. They're
coming out of Columbia or some other location. Seizing the
oil tanker last week in terms of that's all about
projecting power once again, a ship that was earmarked I

(01:37:36):
guess a couple of years ago, but the Biden administration
couldn't find it. They think some of the drugs could
be coming in those kinds of tankers as well. I
think that's the next step, but I just don't believe
that the Peace president, the guy that wants to win
the Nobel Peace Prize is going to turn around and
launch an invasion which would take sixty to eighty thousand
troops in total, a naval prep that that would look

(01:38:00):
like what we started at the Desert Storm. I remember
sitting in a briefing about what it would take to
invade a country from the sea like that. It would
be like a d DA type invasion. I mean, could
you just imagine what that looks like? A D Day
type invasion? How else are we getting into Venezuela? Can
we drop so many paratroopers in there? So again, tactically

(01:38:20):
you look it all around, I just don't see it yet.
I think there's a lot of pressure on Maduro obviously,
and maybe that will move him. But again everyone has
a number. Maybe we just haven't hit his number yet.

Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
There's also pressure on the administration because even people close
to the administration say, look, here's the problem. Trump and
Hegseth and them have made such a big deal about this.
You've put yourself in that. You know, don't be Obama
where you draw the red line, and then you know,
Asad goes over a thousand times and you do nothing,
you can't leave him in power because he's just going
to end up if he stays in power doing what

(01:38:51):
he's going to grow in power.

Speaker 11 (01:38:53):
Yeah, he could do what like Saddam did when we
invaded first and you know two thousand and three, he
just goes into a hole someplace. With today's technology, he
can communicate from there. And he's got there's no question
he's got loyalists. There are people inside of Venezuela that
want to see him succeed for sure, right, I mean,
their livelihood depends on it as well. So this is
not as simple as just tipping this over and having

(01:39:17):
new leadership in Venezuela. The pressure continues to mount, and
it's a lot of the military is performative, I think,
and it's an unfortunate use of the military.

Speaker 10 (01:39:28):
We cavel over whether it's legal or not.

Speaker 11 (01:39:30):
But I think I think that, you know, I do
believe this is the only thing that they have right now.
They're going to continue working it in that direction and
maybe try to starve them out, but but they're not
going to Vata anytime soon.

Speaker 26 (01:39:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
You say he's got loyalists, and I've been telling people this,
just because he leaves doesn't mean this is going to
get better. It probably will get worse because he'll leave
behind a bunch of people that will be on the
hook potentially as he takes the edamine package right and
it disappears with all this money and heads over to
hang out with the you know, Assad in Russia. But

(01:40:03):
the rest of his henchmen are going to be the
ones who are going to face the repercussions. And right
now they're the ones controlling the military, and they're not
going to go down without a fight.

Speaker 11 (01:40:12):
Right sports to Earth likely and it could go very poorly.
They have resources, they have rare earth minerals, There's lots
of things that that can take that they could have,
and you could see an insurgency that would be go
on for years there. They would have instability for years,
like we've seen in the Middle East. I mean, people
are going to do what they can and if anything,

(01:40:34):
what Trump will get blamed for and historians will look
back and say that the President Trump brought this kind
of insurgency war like was Vietnam in the Middle East
and brought it to this hemisphere. We never never had
it before, but here it is now. Of these insurgents.
He might argue that the cartails are doing that anyway.
But they control a lot of the governments obviously, and

(01:40:55):
they're the forces they have in the Mexican government as well.
But again there's there's no real solution insight on the
horizon that says, look, this is you know, the end
is nearing for Maduro in Venezuela, and we can move
forward there.

Speaker 10 (01:41:10):
It still could get very worse.

Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
Talking to Mike Clions, military analysts were talking about all
things military. We go from there to the Middle East,
still unsettled. There. There's you and I have been talking
about since the day that they said, okay, we've got
this deal done and there's going to be all of
this stuff. Still I have no idea. There doesn't seem
to be any peacekeeping crew that has come on board
to say, okay, we're going to go over to Palestine

(01:41:32):
and Gaza and we're going to take over and protect
the civilians. We're going to make sure that there is
no growing unrest from the militia groups and or you know,
any of you know Hamas or anybody else. And I
hear nothing about that now.

Speaker 10 (01:41:49):
Chat.

Speaker 11 (01:41:49):
We talked a couple of weeks ago that we thought
Turkey would be the indispensable nation and so in Egypt
and bring troops there, and Indonesia talked about it, but
it turned out to be all talked and why because
the situation on the ground is still very dangerous and
they're not sending their troops there in order to get
them killed. And Hamas still controls many of the all

(01:42:10):
the ministries and if not some of the military aspects,
then they still have this way of creating an uncertainty there.
As crazy as it sounds, the place is not destroyed enough.
They haven't surrendered. So until until that happens, you're not
going to see those countries get involved because they're not
going to want to become part of some losing operation.
But you know, Trump moved on from it, unfortunately, and

(01:42:35):
you know the security operations are going to be you
know critical, obviously, we have them in the Red Sea.
We're still responding to who the attacks and the shipping
threats that are there. But for all practical purposes, Gaza
remains a wasteland that no sane person wants to step
foot in right now.

Speaker 2 (01:42:50):
And finally, let's talk about China. What's the word I
saw last week that there was a whole bunch of
those computer programmed simulations that it would not be good
if we tried to protect Taiwan, that we're probably going
to end up losing that. And you know, that got
a lot of people going, oh, but you know again,
the fight is much different like anything else, and you

(01:43:11):
could write it all down but on papers, much different
than on the ground. But you know, it does make you.

Speaker 11 (01:43:16):
Think, yeah, I saw that a couple things. The thing
when we do those simulations is we fight. Americans fight doctrinally,
so to speak, so we use our doctrine when we
tell the computers is how we're going to fight. But
the problem is when Americans go to war, they do
whatever is best and we don't pay attention to our doctrine.

(01:43:37):
It's if you asked our enemies and you know, the
Middle East and Russians and stuff, they would say that's
the problem with Americans. They this is how they say
they're going to fight, but then they show up and
they fight totally different. Now, you still have to bring
the firstest with the mostest. You still have to bring
assets to the battlefield. The question is whether or not
we have enough in the Pacific in order to protect
the country, and whether or not we would respond China

(01:44:00):
would have to knock out a very significant portion of
those assets in order. First they couldn't necessarily turn right
to Taiwan and go from right there. So again I
saw that simulation. We haven't won that in many years.
I'm not saying it's something we shouldn't be concerned about.
In fact, haig Seth thought that it was worthless because

(01:44:21):
that was one of the things he got rid of.
He can I kind of got rid of that office
that did that because he thought that was just, you know,
too negative. I don't think that's a good idea either.
But again, the bottom line is we need to do
what we can to project the kind of power that
China doesn't do what we think that they could possibly do.

Speaker 2 (01:44:38):
It's going to be interesting. My client's military analystried major
in the Army is always good to have you on.
Will do it again next week.

Speaker 2 (01:46:04):
As we wrap up the show today, we also wrap
up the worst Christmas songs of all time. This one
sucks so so freaking bad that it makes tiny tim
song look joyous. Let's get sad and depressed.

Speaker 13 (01:46:18):
Now it's time for the countdown of the worst Christmas
songs of all time.

Speaker 2 (01:46:24):
Number one, Merry Christmas, Gayla Peevy at number five, The
Barking Dogs at number four, The Killers, the serial Killer
who's Santa Claus is the hit man? And come to
kill Yesterday Tiny Tim and his Santa Claus song about
getting aids cause Santa's got the eights, but today today

(01:46:46):
comes from a star nineteen seventy seven, so he was
already a legitimate star. Apparently, John Denver thought, you know
what I should do. Let's ruin Christmas everybody. We possibly
can never get displayed anywhere. There's no irony, and there's
no jingle bells whatsoever in this. This is John Denver
with to me the worst Christmas song of all time.

(01:47:08):
Please Daddy, don't get drunk this Christmas.

Speaker 14 (01:47:12):
Be Daddy, don't get drunk this Christmas. I don't won't
see mamma cry. Please Daddy, don't get drunk this Christmas.

(01:47:33):
I don't won't see my mama cry.

Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
The song was essentially about an absolute alcoholic, horrific dad
who screamed and yelled and tortured the kids if you will,
and the wife. It was brutal, and said, no DJ
played this anywhere at the time. They avoided it like
the plague. They did and again there's no joyousnessness. Alan

(01:48:02):
Jackson I think re recorded this because he's like, you
know what, I'd like to have a song that's not
fun for Christmas, zero irony as they like to say,
so no chart arguably one of the most depressing Christmas
songs of all time.

Speaker 14 (01:48:23):
Daddy don't get drunk this Christmas.

Speaker 2 (01:48:28):
I don't want.

Speaker 14 (01:48:30):
See my mama.

Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
