Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show due to the fact that trend
A Arragua has gone to Greenland and now we have
to go in there and secure it's the trender A Arraguars.
They're led by Aquaman. I don't know how they got there,
but I know this. They're moving copious amounts of snowballs.

(00:34):
They call them snowballs, new drugs. You've never seen these before, new,
very dangerous. We're gonna have to take it over. So sorry, sorry, Greenland.
You've allowed it to happen and we can't have it.
It's coming into our country. Kids are doing snowballs. That's
how they should do it. Pitch me Greenland in a
fun way, okay, rather than Steven Miller going, we's gonna

(00:56):
take it.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
They're all super powers in the world, a Big three.
The United States is the only democracy. So if the
United States completely moves off that high ground, if they
just say, well, you know what, all bets are off,
the rules are out the window, people can do what
they want, then that is just a green flag for
countries all over the world to move into disputed territories,

(01:20):
of which there are many.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Oh, but they don't have the problems that we have.
With snowballs and the penguins. Let's talk about the penguins.
I don't understand them. I don't know what they're doing.
But Trende Aragua led by Aquaman and the penguins, they're
the worst, Chad. And then what are we doing? Honest

(01:45):
to god, what are we doing? Well, it's about the
it's it's about strategicy Chad. Yes, it is a strategic
they're a NATO ally. What's how about this? We'll just
say it's our here you go, we already have a
base there. Just say it's ours. Nobody knows any different.

(02:06):
There's thirty thousand people that live there. What do they
think if usay take over Greenland?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
There are many things that will improve. More McDonald's, more rightthroughs,
more ets, more of these kind of zombie people that
are walking around the streets, more of these American things
that are happening in the schools, which is not learning,
more geography knowledge.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Ah, maybe not that one.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
More dacas that are empty that's in Minnesota. Yeah, anyway,
that's about it. Have a good day, guys.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
That's what they think about it. Thirty thousand people that
live there, But the Danes are taking it serious. The
Danish Prime Minister is taking this seriously.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
She said, We've got to take Donald Trump seriously at
his word when he says we want to take Greenland.
She said, the US has no right to annex Greenland.
The European leaders have been very nervous to criticize directly
the Maduro operation, but they haven't been holding back over Greenland.
And these European leaders are clearly not heartened to hear
Karen and Levitt at the White House saying that military

(03:12):
action is still a possibility.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
I just what military Honestly, God, what are we going
to do? We sent a couple guys over there. This
is just insane. But I expect nothing, you know, nothing
less at this moment in time now, affordability is still
the biggest issue. I saw Tom Cotton yesterday talking about it.
He's like, he's worried that the whole thing with Venezuela

(03:38):
and potentially now Greenland and anything else is going to
take away from the fact that, oh yeah, you're spending
billions of dollars doing what and we still have problems
here in America. Oh yeah, that's a fear that people
in the Republican Party are worried about and rightly so.

(03:59):
Now the Republican Party itself the numbers Venezuela because they
go along, right, doesn't matter. Trump's like, we're not going
to intervene anywhere America first, and Tomorrow's like, we got
a bomb Mars, and like that's what I was thinking too, right,
And that's what we got a bomb Mars. They just
go along. But I always remind everybody it is the

(04:19):
independence that get you across the line. So while you're
you're you're, you know, you're celebrating your wins among your people,
what do the independence think? That's like practicing against your
own team, and your team plays a scrimmage against each
other and you count the victory as a victory in

(04:40):
real life, and it doesn't work that way. It doesn't.
So yeah, there are serious issues with Venezuela, and I've
talked about it at nauseum. I was the one who's
been saying for months, by the way, that they're going
to do something, and you know, and they haven't done anything.
We just took one bad guy out replaced it with
a bad lady. That's all we've done. And we're the

(05:04):
lady who was supposedly the one that everybody wanted who
thought that she was going to take over, Even Republicans
are going. I thought the whole thing was to put
her in charge. You can't put her in charge. She's
got no military, she's got a backing of the police.
So there are any of that stuff, And you know,
Meduro's people are already starting to rise up. So because

(05:25):
they understand that there's a chance that they could be next,
they also understand that they're not going to be the
one standing there paying the ultimate price, and they're just
not going to do it. So there's going to be
a fight. It's powers fight. That was always my fear
with this. God willing it doesn't happen, but you never know,
you don't. So we'll see Greenland year next, so be

(05:49):
prepared for that. Meanwhile, man, it's already been a year
since the fires in La When.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Ye we go today, the Eating Fire in Altadena and
the Palace Sets fire in Los Angeles destroyed thousands of
homes and took thirty one lives. Wind gusts of nearly
one hundred miles per hour carried flames into communities, burning
block after block. More than sixteen thousand structures were flattened.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Flattened in Sane. It's been ah year and my buddy
is still you know, I mean, my whole family's from
out there. So I have friends who've lost everything. The
one of my so you know, sounds a little obnoxious here,

(06:36):
but whatever. So one of my agents lost everything and
had it moved to Mexico for a while because I
couldn't even find a house in La Orange County. I mean,
and we're talking. It up ended life in a way
that we think, Okay, it's a horrible situation. But you
live in the Palasage. Everything's great. It's going to take
a while, Okay, but you've got kids now that are

(06:59):
in the middle of junior high in high school. Their
school burned down. You're having to move their entire you know,
their athletics, everything's all changed. Living in a hotel in
Mexico for a while before eventually settling seventy miles away
from where you're from. That is crazy. That thing was

(07:20):
so massive, and then you start thinking, well, what does
it look like today.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
Alex driving through Alta Dina. Now it is if you
roll down the windows, a sea of sounds of hammers,
of saws going of buildings that are going up, but
there are still so many lots, lot after lot where
nothing has really even started on those lots.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
And what's interesting about that is my buddy said the
same because alex sona who I love, just great dude.
He he's, you know, as he's discussing what's going on there,
My buddy works out there in all of this stuff
and he has been. He works big insurance gestors out
there is doing all the stuff. He says. The interesting
thing is what you see when you're out there now,
as you're driving around in certain areas that looked third world,

(08:09):
that looked like it was you know, a dystopian you know,
zombie movie.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Every now and then as you look around, there will
be a home, you know, almost like a mirage in
the desert. There is a home, and nobody knows what
it's going to go for. Realtors are trying to figure
that out, what they're going to sell these things for.
They look very similar. There's what's called a like for
like rebuild. The ones that are going up right now,
the same footprint, the same general look. They've got to

(08:36):
be a certain kind of style. They've got to match
what Alta Dina used to look like.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Which is tough, and the cost, and then on top
of all of that, you also have the people that
are going out and grabbing up land because people are
just frustrated. So you know, they're just they're over it.
They're frustrated. Why is that because no matter what LA
in California does, even if they say they're quote unquote
going to make it easier, they don't.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
It is extremely complicated. You think about insurance payouts and
trying to go through the red tape, and yeah, the
government has locally gotten rid of a lot of the bureaucracy,
but still there are hoops that they've got to go through.
And for people who are older, many of them are saying, look,
it's not worth it. They're going to take insurance money

(09:23):
and go somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Very true. And we've talked to our buddy Jim Kennedy.
We're gonna have them on on Friday to talk about this.
But he's got friends whose parents had homes out in
Altadena and they haven't even gotten through the process because
you have to have special permits to even remove any

(09:48):
of the crap that was left there after their fire.
That's how insane it still is. There just absolutely horrific.
Speaking of horrific, we moved from there. We're bouncing around kids.
We're doing it all today, yesterday, the first trial when it
comes to Uvaldi, the shooting and the police officers or

(10:10):
officer at this point being held somewhat accountable by what
took place that day, which was gross incompetence.

Speaker 7 (10:18):
Prosecutors say Gonzalez failed to act even after a teacher
warned him where the gunman was.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
He gets on the radio and says, shots are fire.
He's wearing black, he's in the parking lot. He knows
where he is, but Adrian Gonzalez remains.

Speaker 7 (10:36):
The defense says Gonzalez is being scapegoated, arguing he was
one of the first officers to enter this school and
that he evacuated children as other police arrived.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
If that was true, that's not a I mean, look,
that would be one of my first things. Yes, engaged
the shooter. But if I see kids and I can
get them away from something, that's one thing. Already, though,
there's been an issue because one of the teachers has
changed her story, and now the judge has to decide
are they just gonna say it's a mistrial. This whole

(11:09):
thing We're gonna get a little bit more into it.
Next hour is it's it's a sad It was gross
and confidence negligence, it was cowardice. But Supreme Court has
ruled about what police canon do and that includes the
situation where they don't have to put themselves in certain
positions in harm's way. So we'll talk about this a

(11:29):
little bit more next hour three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three atch I'd Benson shows your

one of the year. Chad bencon shoe.

Speaker 9 (13:09):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Technology is very much integrained in our world on a
daily basis, and it's getting more and more ingrained, and
it's becoming not just something we use, is something we
interact with. And yes, kids, can we just say see yes?
Going on. There's some interesting stuff. This guy's hilarious. It's
going to talk about some bots, and I love what

(13:33):
he says in the middle of this.

Speaker 10 (13:34):
And this is a robot called an agibot, and as
you can see, it is built for agility. There's nothing
holding it up here. It's balancing on its own two legs.
Right now. It's doing a little calisthetics here. Earlier there
was another one that was doing martial arts that looked
a little scary. So this might be the last thing
you see before you die. But it's crazy how advanced
these robotics are getting. I'm not sure what the use

(13:54):
case is for this. I'm guessing probably in the home
kind of stuff. But here they're doing dances, lifting and
doing karate moves.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
So there you go. I love it. It's probably the
last thing you're going to see. What about those, you know,
the bots you're talking about.

Speaker 11 (14:10):
My follower count is climbing faster than my battery percentage drops,
just my following.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, they're out there, and they're not called sex spots. Okay,
you may say they're those things, they're not. Continue let's
start all over again with this. This It is just
you guys, get your mind. It's filth, flargin and filth.
They're companions.

Speaker 11 (14:33):
My follower count is climbing faster than my battery percentage drops.

Speaker 12 (14:37):
Meet the newest members of the household from talking robots.

Speaker 11 (14:41):
Basically, I am the multitask for your phone wish, as
it could be.

Speaker 12 (14:44):
To talking appliances that will cook your food with just
the command of your voice.

Speaker 13 (14:49):
Hey, airfire cook chicken nuggets, nuggets.

Speaker 14 (14:55):
Ninety degrees.

Speaker 9 (14:56):
My kids don't listen to me, but this does. This
is a robot that will actually do your laundry for you.
It will not only put clothes into the washing machine
and set it, it will also take them out and
put it into the dryer.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I mean, there's all kinds of stuff. The bots are big,
but a lot of this is about the companion side
of stuff. I've been telling you guys that it's about
the companion side of things. There is a lot of those,
including a dog, and it's it's an AI bought dog,
but it is used primarily for patients who have dementia

(15:31):
or people who have dementia and who could no longer
take care of their pets. This gives them a companion,
but it doesn't need food, three, two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, is
your ex your insta, YouTube and more? Let me know
what you think. Ready, hear the Chad Benson Show. Water
needs electricity, but it does need food or water, so

(15:53):
you don't have to worry about it starving or something
going on, which is fascinating. So many amazing things, and
I continue to tell everybody the price point for me
in a lot of these things is impressive, much cheaper
than I thought. There are some amazing things though that

(16:15):
are priced well and can I just say very useful.
It's not just about some of the who's going to
do what for you kind of thing? Who's going to
build your house for you? What kind of robot is
going to take care of your kids? This right here
is one of the most impressive things I've seen. It's
a flashlight, but check out what it does.

Speaker 15 (16:35):
Now.

Speaker 10 (16:35):
This device is called the Timely and it might look
like a flashlight, which it is, but it also has
an integrated camera and an SOS feature along with GPS,
So if you're out walking your dog or whatever, you
can just turn it on and use it as a flashlight,
but you have some trouble, you can hit the emergency
button there and what it's going to do is transmit
to a dispatcher your location with the GPS. You'll be

(16:58):
able to talk through it with two way commune medication
and it uses a cellular connection for that, and it
will also send the live video to the dispatch at
the same time, so if you are finding yourself in
a situation, you have a lot of information going to
the dispatch service to get you help. Now. When it's
in flashlight mode, it'll also record all the time, so
even if you don't have an emergency, you do have

(17:19):
a record of where you were walking in case something
was going on. And of course they have an app
that attaches to it. This is two ninety nine. You
get a year of service with that and then the
subsequent years are ninety nine dollars for the subscription per year.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Not bad, very cool, very useful, and priced very affordably.
This is the Chad Benson.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Show, Fun, Chad Benson Show, The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
It's Wednesday, so you know exactly what that means. Yes,
that's right. Even in the new year. The white women
will definitely have to lecture us. Our girls Jess and
Kylie doing it as they do. In fact, we decided
we're gonna give them their own theme song.

Speaker 16 (18:20):
It's not him at the coffee bar. She's not streaming
from our car. Fat take so bredam do HD telling
workers what.

Speaker 17 (18:29):
They ought to be. Let me send her.

Speaker 16 (18:32):
Your experiences begin over.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Everyone got a friend for every human sin. What fucks
you if you don't chime in?

Speaker 16 (18:42):
It's white woman Wednesdays.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
She's saying in the world in a thread tucking.

Speaker 16 (18:49):
Lessen recent and sent In calls it present white woman
weds It's.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Right, it is white woman Wednesday telling us all the
things that we need to fit figure out to do
to make ourselves better, and how well, just how bad
we are all the time, because we're the worst.

Speaker 18 (19:06):
MAGA didn't start in twenty sixteen. It started when the
Confederacy lost the Civil War. The American government's failure to
properly punish the Confederacy is the sole reason that we
have such extreme authoritarianism in the US and a lot
of signs of fascism here, because there was a lot
of discontentment among white people after they lost the Civil War,
similar to the way in Germany there was a lot

(19:26):
of discontentment there after losing World War One at animosity
that led them to create a war to continue to
own human beings. That hatred has continued to grow and
grow unchecked until it finally culminated in the rise of Trump.
It could have honestly been any average white guy that
said that sit in the same way that in Germany. Again,

(19:46):
just some guy started saying like things that appeal to
all of their hatreds. I wanted to say Trump was
not inevitable, but MAGA certainly was. Fascism in America certainly
was inevitable, and unfortunately the people being scaped gooded here
are immigrants and other people of color versus Jewish people
in Germany. But it is the same exact process, although

(20:07):
less severe in the US.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
It's the same. So there you go. So because of
the Confederacy, we have MAGA, and it could have been
any white guy. No, it couldn't. Look look for for
the flaws that Trump has, and there's plenty of them,
and I point them out and some of you get mad,
but actually quite many of you are frustrated, which I
find to be very interesting. For all the flaws that

(20:33):
he does have, it couldn't have been just any white
guy that had the MEGA movement, It couldn't have been.
And that's why it's going to be tough to replace
Trump when Trump is not president anymore and the next
person comes in, because the reality is simply there is

(20:53):
only one Trump. There is, so it couldn't have been
just any white guy. But the thought that it was
the Confederate and because of the Confederacy, that's why we
got MEGA because we didn't punish the Confederacy. And if
we did, well, you know, and if you're gonna use
that kind of punishment thing, I just want to let
you guys remind everybody this Kylie who, by the way,

(21:15):
she just got into pen yesterday. We'll celebrate that with
her because we give her a lot of crap on
the show, but we love her and I God bless her.
I think she's got a really good heart and she's
out there trying, you know, cheer her on, and we
thank her for making us better. But if we're going
to talk about punishment, let's not forget. After World War One,
everybody punished the Germans, which eventually led to what So

(21:37):
if we're going to talk about, well, we didn't punish him,
an elf. We're gonna do the history thing. Just gonna
point that out there. Speaking of Trump yesterday, so they
did the big like retreat thing where they all get around,
and it was Trump doing his thing and talking about
the midterms.

Speaker 15 (21:52):
You gotta win the midterms, because if we don't win
the midterms, it's just gonna be I mean, they'll find
a reason to impeach me. I'll get impeached. We don't
impeach them, you know why, because they are meaner than
we are. We should have impeached Joe Biden for a
hundred different things. They are mean and smart.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
They're mean, they're smart, They're all the things we should have.
They're the worst doing this thing.

Speaker 14 (22:24):
Now.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
I'm gonna say. People I've talked to on the Democratic
side of the aisle, including some senators and congress people
that have text back and forth with they they do
not want to impeach. Not saying they're not going to investigate,
totally different, but they don't want to impeach and they

(22:44):
don't want to give Trump any more opportunity to be
a martyr. He's hoping if he loses that they'll impeach.
He's hoping that they do that because they know they're
not going to get rid of him. But what they
do think is going to happen, which I think would
be is even if people are frustrated they're going to
rally around him. Things would have to be really bad

(23:07):
for them to go we're done. Now, speaking of the
election off handedly, he said this.

Speaker 15 (23:13):
The worst president, did the worst job, They had the
worst policy. We have to even run against these people. Now,
I won't say cancel the election. They should cancel the
election because the fake news will say he wants the
elections canceled. He's a dictator. They always call me a dictator.
Nobody's worse than Obama and the people that surrounded Biden,
not Biden. I don't think it's he didn't know.

Speaker 18 (23:34):
What the hell was going on.

Speaker 15 (23:35):
Okay, the election was rigged, He had no he had
no idea what happened.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
He still doesn't, just troning on and on and said, well,
you know, if I did cancel the election, they called
me a dictator. Wait what No, No, yeah, because that
would be the definition of the dictator. I mean we're
talking about Venezuela. They if you guys know, so Venezuela,
the guy who won so everybody talks about Kriena Machado,

(24:02):
but the guy who actually won the election in Venezuela.
He was up so big after eighty percent of the
votes had counted that they confiscated all the ballots, said
it was illegal, and Maduro declared himself the victor. That's
what a dictator does. That's what it is. And if
you were joking around, well, you know, if I did canceled,

(24:23):
they call me a dictator, Okay, you know, that would
be kind of the definition of what's going on. I
don't think that's going to happen. I just want to
put that out there because you know, as much as
my friends out there in the world of Maga are
at times a little wacky, I'm gonna say it they

(24:45):
I don't think they're that wacky that they would say, oh, well, no,
he can totally do that, although there are some that
probably would because they're so afraid of Trump and they're
so afraid of the tribe that I think there would
be a few going yeah, because you can't trust them.
You can't trust the you can't trust the left that
they're here, They're going to steal, they're going to do
all the things That's why yesterday we talked about the

(25:08):
postal service, how important the postal service thing is for
the Republicans. The Republicans definitely want to make sure that
they can and you can call it what it is.
I'm just saying it as I see it, that they

(25:29):
want to be able to say, oh, you know, you
ballot was late, so we're not going to count it.
So I think that's going to be a big issue.
Expect outside of massive blowouts. If things are close, you're
going to see. I think some very interesting things go
down in this one. Now I do think it's I

(25:50):
still you know, to the tune of forty seats. Do
I think that's going to happen the Republicans losing forty, No,
But do I think they could lose fifteen or twenty. Absolutely,
And until they start to figure out that affordability is
still the issue, they're going to continue to see there.
And don't just look at the the data when it

(26:11):
comes to Republicans, You've got to look at it across
the board, in particular with independence and the young, and
that data is saying right now they're not with the
Republicans or Trump in this situation. Right now, things could change.
We'll see three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your ex, your Insta,
YouTube and more. Chop it up one hit Wonder Wednesday,

(26:33):
first one of the year. Let me tell you something, guys.
Relief Factors amazing. So many people have found relief Factor
and I love it. Now. Here's somebody Bill all right, tradesman,
what's he do? Spence's year doing what? Bending? Crawling, working
tons of hours. You know what happens when you put
your body through that. Your back pain, your neck pain,
your knees, your body is sore. So he said, I

(26:56):
got to do something. Really factors what he did. Within weeks,
the difference changed. Everything was incredible. Now we get through

(28:01):
one of my favorite songs of all time. We're gonna
do that straight ahead. This is Chad Benson Show irreverence.

Speaker 9 (28:20):
Like, yeah, so what it's the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
The calendar may have turned, but one of the things
that we love to do is talk about politics and
pop culture and all the fun things, and boy are
they some fun things things like music. And one of
the things we have done for quite a while is
one Hit Wonder Wednesday. So if you're new to the program,
God bless you, thank you so much for tuning in
to us. And again we talk about politics and pop

(28:45):
culture and everything, but we also talk a little nostalgia
and One Hit Wonder Wednesday is where we dive deep,
deep into a song that hit the charts. Maybe the
band is still recognizable, but this was the only hit
they had, and in many case, like the one today,
the song itself is very recognizable. Many people have no

(29:06):
idea the name of the band is. You guys, ready
to do it. It's the first one of the year.
Let's get to it.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Now.

Speaker 19 (29:13):
It's time for another edition of One Hit Wonder Wednesday.
You may not remember the name of the.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Band, but you definitely know the song.

Speaker 20 (29:41):
This Bruiser.

Speaker 21 (29:42):
This is One Hit Wonder Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
All right, So today's band that one of the top
two or three bands, depending on what polls you're looking at,
where people recognize the song, no idea the name of
the band. There were a Scottish trio out of Dundee
A Benda Dundee. You know it's pretty nice? Is it is?
What it is? And originally they were called Spencer Tracy.

(30:14):
They were signed by Virgin USA. I think they were
the first band, but Spencer Tracy's a person and they said, no,
you can't do that. So they had about a minute
to figure out the name of the band that they
were going to be called. And they've got this kind
of you know, cool, you know, Frank Sinatra vibes, and

(30:39):
so they went with the name of a fictional character
and that was called Danny Wilson. Nobody in the band's
actually called Danny Wilson. So the song that they had
that went to number three in the UK number twenty
three here in the US has never really disappeared from
the world. The band themselves broke up after another album

(31:03):
or sould they just they're still friends, just diminishing returns.
They said wasn't working. And this song is incredible. And
I'll be honest, off if you were to tell me,
Chaddi Oli can listen to five songs for the rest
of your life, this would be one of the songs
I would listen to. It peaked at number twenty three
in the US. It is a slow burned classic, but

(31:26):
is one when you start to hear it you'll recognize
exactly what Danny Wilson did when they put this song. Together.
Here it is kids, a little Mary's Prayer from Danny Wilson.

Speaker 20 (31:40):
Everything is wor.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Being here is heavily every single day. Geese says, everything
is free. I used to be so paired. Si fuck.

Speaker 20 (32:01):
Did I have to make a response when I was Scary's.

Speaker 22 (32:08):
Suddenly had control, suddenly ready, now suddenly was watched it
the soon to find somebody think of me and say, olebrate.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I made such a big state when.

Speaker 22 (32:32):
I was very's good, so we fussy said.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Now people listen to it, they get some romantic song,
and it's really a song about what they said was
moral resistance right being young and then looking back and
you had all this temptation. He had this opportunity in
front of you for even somebody you may have loved,
but you didn't pay attention to it, and it got away.

(33:11):
And now Mary is somebody else's and you wish her
the best, and it's just an amazing song. For years,
people thought it was Tears for Fears. They thought it
was simply read another amazing band. But nope, it's a
trio of guys who put a song together, who actually
in an hour wrote the big part of it, but

(33:36):
they couldn't figure out what to do with the rest
of it. So Gary Clark, who has since become a
massive songwriter, was watching top of the pops and saw
Karma Chameleon picked up his guitar and then all of
a sudden he came up with the rest of it.
And the rest of it, kids, is history. It is

(33:56):
one of those songs you hear everywhere all the time,
especially during nostalgic scenes, and it's amazing. The fuck's the top.

Speaker 20 (34:07):
Very fifty when I but Sammy.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
But it is our first one hit wonder of the year.
The trio the Danny Wilson Group out of Dundee with
their hits, their only hits to this day that everybody
still loves from nineteen eighty seven. It is Mary's Prayer,

(34:40):
one of my favorite songs of all time. And what
a great way to start.

Speaker 23 (34:50):
The well it was Mamy's Friends, What on?

Speaker 1 (35:15):
What an amazing, incredible song, our one hit wonder to
kick it off, Mary's Prayer from Danny Wilson three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your
ex your Insta, your YouTube, Facebook and more. I love
hearing from every single one of you. And if you

(35:37):

number two of the program moron Greenland and Venezuela. That's
gonna be fantastic. Talk a little bit more about that, obviously,
what's going on. Apparently we need Greenland for for all
the stuff, for the things and the whatnot and new
was a what talk about that? Talk more about Venezuela.

(35:57):
We're getting some oil from them. Not a shocker, but
I thought it was drugs. It's about whatever we want
it to be about, so just deal with it, okay,
talk some affordability. It's white woman Wednesday. Got to make
sure we get some white women in there. We got
your urban word of the Day as well a bunch
of other good stuff on the way. If you miss
the show, grab the podcast, check us out to on
our YouTube and everywhere else. Our number two of the programs.

(36:18):
Straight ahead. This is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 9 (36:24):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
We'll talk about the evil Creamland coming up in a
little bit. I can't believe all the things going on
over there. But first Venezuela, get some oil from them.
All kicking out anybody that we don't like because it's
our country, it's our.

Speaker 24 (37:09):
Oil, sources tell ABC News the US has conveyed to
the interim leader of Venezuela that she must agree to
partner exclusively with the US on oil production and kick
out officials from China, Russia, Iran and Cuba, severing all
economic ties with those countries. The US also cracking down
on the fleet of tankers that ferry illicid oil around

(37:31):
the world.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Illicit oil. You know who you are again. I here's
the thing. Tell me that you are going in there
because you believe that Venezuela is actually given the opportunity

(37:56):
in our hemisphere for China to get such a foothold
as to eventually take us on. And whatever are you
going to tell Don't tell me that it's all about
the drugs, okay, because I don't buy that. I never did,
because you're not even selling it anymore. Right. The fact
is there's serious questions about whether or not you briefed

(38:16):
and spoke with many oil executives, essentially telling them what
you're going to do before you even talk to Congress.
I have an issue with that, as do many other folks.
Out there now the oil side of things. I said
it was about oil, absolutely, it's also about minerals. They

(38:37):
got plenty of them.

Speaker 25 (38:38):
Gold.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
They may have the most gold on the planet to
go with the rare earth minerals. So, but this whole
pretense of ah, it's all the drugs. It's drugs, cheddies. Don't.
You don't understand drugs, you don't. The oil is just
a benefit, and we didn't we don't even want.

Speaker 24 (39:00):
If accurate, it means Venezuela will be turning over one
point eight to three billion dollars of oil, but it's
unclear what Venezuela will get in return, and they have
not responded overnight. The thirty to fifty million barrels, Trump
says Venezuela will be handing over far out pieces the
roughly twenty million barrels of oil the US produces per day, which.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Is it's a decent amount. They have the most. We
have hundreds of millions of barrels. They have billions and
billions of barrels of oil. It's nasty, it's dirty, but still,
I mean, this is crazy. It is. But what it
also does, what it signals to me, is hey, China,
do whatever the hell you want, where wherever you want.

(39:43):
Just stay out of here, Just stay out of here.
And this whole thought of who's running the country, right,
that's a big deal. That's a huge deal, right, Lindsay Heirsaucy.

Speaker 26 (39:57):
The transition in Venezuela very good, good for America, very
good for the Venezuelan people.

Speaker 17 (40:02):
Who's in charge of Venezuela, Donald J. Trump?

Speaker 26 (40:05):
Now people from the regime, the old regime, are helping us.

Speaker 17 (40:09):
We don't want to put a bunch of troops on
the ground.

Speaker 26 (40:12):
So we got people from the old regime helping us
rebuild the country, to transition to democratic elections. They will
be regime change in Venezuela through the ballot box.

Speaker 17 (40:22):
But who's in charge of Venezuela, Donald J. Trump.

Speaker 26 (40:25):
If you defy him, if you're one of the holdovers
and you try to undercut him, what happened to Madua
is going to happen to you. But there will be
a day in the future when the country is ready
for elections free and fair that will elect people that will.

Speaker 17 (40:39):
Be allies in the United States.

Speaker 26 (40:42):
The dictator, the thug is in jail in New York.

Speaker 17 (40:45):
Donald J.

Speaker 26 (40:46):
Trump, In my view, is the greatest president of all time.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
God, Lindsey Graham is just such what do you say,
I mean, the insanity. He's just such a neocon, isn't
he right? He's this old school neocon that is just

(41:11):
still screaming about wars, wars, more wars. We need more wars.
Let's get into more wars. Wars, wars, wars, tell us
more and more and more.

Speaker 26 (41:20):
Cuba is on deathwatch. Cuba depends on Russia and Venezuela.
Both of them are in a box. It's just a
matter of time, and I mean a short time to
the communist dictatorship in Cuma Cuba that has oppressed their
people since the mid fifties falls to be replaced with
a democracy friendly to the United States. Cuba will be

(41:42):
the Singapore of the region. To the people of Cuba,
help is on the way. And finally, to the people
of Iran, we stand with you tonight. We stand for
you taking back your country from the Iotola religious nazi
who kills you and terrorizes the world.

Speaker 17 (42:00):
We pray for you, We support you. Donald J. Trump
is not Barack Obama. He has your back.

Speaker 26 (42:06):
And to the Iatolas, you need to understand if you
keep killing your people for demanding a better life. Donald J.
Trump is going to kill you. Change is coming to Iran.
It'll be the biggest change in the history of the
Mid East to get rid of this Nazi regime.

Speaker 17 (42:23):
To the people of Iran. Help is on the way.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Wow, how about those apples? Huh. So he's got us
going into Venezuela, which you're already there, and Trump's running
it all right with the Viceroy Marco Rubio. Now Iran,
we're coming. Who else wants some of this?

Speaker 17 (42:41):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (42:41):
America first, baby America first, and by that we mean
big business corporations and more worse, you think it's going
to be different, and then you find out what did
Dave Smith say? And it's still the same. You just
you just got John McCain. Now, oh, Chad, No, that's

(43:02):
not true. It's not true. You guys ready for some
greenland because we need some of that.

Speaker 27 (43:07):
The new White House statement saying specifically, the President and
his team are discussing a range of options to pursue
this important foreign policy goal, and of course, utilizing the
US military is always an option. At the Commander in
Chief's disposal on Capitol Hill overnight, members of both parties pushing.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
Back, Yes, pushback. Somebody show you have balls. Somebody out
there show that you got some gajones to say, no,
this is ridiculous. You're going to break up NATO. You're
gonna do this, So you could take Greenland. Well, they
got all kinds of minerals, chad rare Earth and China

(43:50):
could set up. We've got a base there. They're not
setting anything up. Well, they could come on.

Speaker 27 (43:55):
European leaders are incensed, the Danish government issuing a joint
statement with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain
and the UK saying Greenland belongs to its people.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
It is for.

Speaker 27 (44:07):
Denmark and Greenland and them only to decide on matters
concerning Denmark and Greenland.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Right at this point, what do you say, they're gonna
do what they do? And they seem to think that
now that they've done this and nobody. Here's the thing.
They did what they did in Venezuela with very little repercussions,
and they got what they wanted it when it comes
to the base coward and fell into you know where

(44:37):
they were supposed to. So why not go do Greenland next?
And then let's see what else I want to get
involved in Iran if there's something else there, how about
in Africa? You know, I mean, wherever you think that
you can go and do this, then go and do
it until somebody says, all right, we've had enough. And
all this is going on, it takes away from the

(44:58):
fact that there are serious issues still in our economy.
Slowing down in the economy right now is the hiring,
especially among the young. It is a serious issue. College
graduates are having a tough time giving a job. People

(45:20):
are having a tough time paying their bills. Twenty two
of the twenty four million Americans on Obamacare the ACA
are going to face premium hikes. Now ACA was broken.
Obamacare is a bust. We always understood that. We've talked
about it at nauseum for over a decade. But you

(45:41):
still have no plan in place, and you're going to
see people's premiums rise, and they're gonna get They're trying
to make ends meet, they're trying to get through the
day with an enough money to get gas to get home.

(46:03):
And you're talking about, well, you know, look got great.
You know the my four oh one case, you guys
should all thank me that's great, that's a wonderful thing.
We we should all be happy that the four oh
one k's are kicking butt. If you're sixty five and
you're drawn on it, if you're thirty four and you're

(46:26):
trying to figure out if you can ever own a
house until your parents die and maybe leave you something,
that's an issue. It is, and they are flopping. Tom
Cod came out yesterday and go with the Venezuela thing,
and now with Greenland, we're taking our eye off, you know, affordability,
which is the key thing. Inflation isn't cooling the way

(46:48):
that they want to pitch it. But see, here's the
thing in today's world through social media repetitiveness. Just keep
saying it enough and you will get the answer that
you want from people, which is yes, thank you, but

(47:10):
that works for your group. The Democrats, they they're you know,
they've got their own issues. There's so many issues with
the Democrats. We go over that next hour. They've got
plenty of issues, so you weren't getting them. But those independents,
the most important people when it comes to elections is

(47:30):
the independence, the ones who both sides need if they're
going to get across the finish line in first place.
They want no part of a lot of this stuff. So, yeah,
there's some serious issues that have nothing to do with
the other serious issues that we are causing when it

(47:51):
comes to the BS about drugs and whatnot. But you
don't understand, chaed the snowballs that are coming from Greenland,
and they're very dangerous, very snowbully. It's just it's it's
very dangerous. You're you're very you have no idea. It's
one of the new drugs. Yes, the penguins, trend a aqua,
they're all there, they're all doing it. You see where

Investments fall risk not a guarantee. Past performance is not
guaranteed future results Trek two six, three five one. Coming
up Uvaldi first day of trial yesterday. Could it already

(49:37):
be a mistrial? We talk about that straight head Chad
Benson Show.

Speaker 9 (49:50):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
Yesterday was day one of Adrian Gonzalez, the former police
officer in Uvaldi. It was the first day of of
the trial, and it was very interesting hearing some of this,
and I was debating this. Yes, we're not even debating,
was having a conversation. It wasn't much a debate because
the Supreme Court is already ruled that the police do
not have an obligation to go in and defend. They

(50:18):
don't and they've already ruled on that. There's been two
rulings from the Supreme Court, one in two thousand and five,
one in eighty one, and the Warren versus District of Columbia.
Police were told someone was in danger, they failed to
respond adequately. The ruling was police owe a duty to
the public at large, not to individuals, so there's no

(50:41):
constitutional liability for failing to protect a specific person. Then,
in two thousand and five Castle Rock versus Gonzales, a
woman had a restraining order against her husband and the
police repeatedly refused to enforce it. Her children were later killed.
Even with the restraining order, police had no constitutional obligation
to act. Decisions are discretionary, not mandatory, as horrible as

(51:04):
it is, and everybody thinks, well, no, that's what they
have to do. Now, there are some exceptions, special relationship,
i e. You're in custody, in jail, prison, you are
detained and cannot protect yourself. State created danger, which is
very hard to prove. But there's several things in here,
so they've never ruled that they don't into a dangerous situation,

(51:24):
but they don't have that obligation to do so. And
with all the active shooters and things like this, and
obviously what happened to evolved, this is a big effing deal.

Speaker 7 (51:35):
Prosecutors say Gonzalez failed to act even after a teacher
warned him where the gunman was.

Speaker 8 (51:41):
He gets on the radio and says, shots are fire,
he's wearing black, he's in the parking pot. He knows
where he is, but Adrian Gonzalez remains.

Speaker 7 (51:53):
The defense says Gonzalez is being scapegoaded, arguing he was
one of the first officers to enter the school and
that he evacuated children as other police arrived.

Speaker 1 (52:03):
Yeah, is he a scapegoat. I don't think he's a scapegoat.
I think he's incompetent. I think this entire situation was
gross negligence and incompetence on a level that we have
never seen. And because of that, you've seen the way
that police react now to active shooters. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three Act Chadmnson Show,

(52:24):
Jiaks Sheer, insta YouTube and more. Let me know what
you think about this right here on the Chad Benson Show.
The question is is he criminally negligent in this situation?
And I think that's going to be tough to prove.
The other thing is already one of the teachers has
changed your story and the judge has to decide if
there's going to be a mistrial. So this is going

(52:45):
to be interesting to watch. There's no doubt about that.
We move from one horrible situation to something that's becoming horrible.
Flu season is not just upon us, it's kicking us straight.
In the Grundle.

Speaker 28 (53:00):
Morningside Hospital in New York City, doctor Eric Legome tells
me they're seeing as many as thirty percent more flu
patients this year than last.

Speaker 29 (53:08):
And that kind of traps that we're seeing across the
state or even across the country, we're seeing it earlier
and the numbers were seen earlier are much higher.

Speaker 28 (53:14):
The CDC says all but five states are reporting high
or very high flu activity and more than eight percent
of all visits to a healthcare provider are for flu symptoms.
That's the highest level since they started keeping track.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
It is extremely high. And we were bit by it
here my family. We were sick for I was for
a few days, my daughter was for several days. And
that's the big thing, the pediatric side of it.

Speaker 28 (53:40):
Sadly, so far this season there have been at least
ten pediatric debts from the flu. Last season, two hundred
and eighty nine kids died from the flu.

Speaker 18 (53:49):
That is a record.

Speaker 28 (53:50):
About ninety percent of those kids were not vaccinated.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Let's get vaccinated. I mean, it's get the shot. It's
not even a vaccination. You get the shot. It mitigates it.
But chat are you telling you know, the healthy kids
rarely gonna have issues in a situation like this, you know,
in a serious flu season. Is it better to be
safe than sorry? Yeah, And I'm not one of those
anti vaxxer. I'm not pro plague, is what I'm trying

(54:15):
to tell you.

Speaker 19 (54:15):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
You're mentioned any of the show Shaman you've got the podcast.
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chat Benson.

Speaker 9 (54:22):
Show, The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
It's Wednesday, so you know what that means. Yeah, it's
one hit Wonder Wednesday. But it's also white woman Wednesday.

Speaker 16 (54:50):
It's not him at the coffee bar. She's not streaming
from her car fat trait. So bredam g HD telling workers.

Speaker 17 (54:59):
What they ought to be.

Speaker 19 (55:01):
Let me set at.

Speaker 1 (55:01):
Your experience, speakin over. Everyone got a friend for every
human sin, but flocks you if you don't shine in.
It's white woman Wednesday. That's right, it is white woman Wednesday.
We love ourselves a little, white women telling us what
to do. Yes, it's your turn to talk about the
thing that is also evil, not just sexism and all

(55:24):
that stuff up. Patriarchy.

Speaker 13 (55:26):
Women like Caroline Lovin and Erica Kirk will always choose
their race over their gender because while patriarchy suppresses women,
white supremacy protects and uplifts white women. And in every
era of American history, white women have been rewarded more
for racial loyalty than gender loyalty because of white supremacy.
For example, white suffragetts argued that white women deserve the
vote before black men, and a lot of stuffage organizations

(55:49):
banned black women to avoid upsetting white male politicians, and
while white women got the right to vote in nineteen twenty,
black women did not get the right to vote until
nineteen sixty five with the Voting Rights Act. Over the
past few days, I've talked a lot about patriarchal bargaining.

Speaker 14 (56:02):
You can check out these videos for more.

Speaker 13 (56:03):
And while we all engage in some forms of patriarchal bargaining,
I even mentioned how putting on makeup can be seen
as a form of patriarchal bargaining. I want to be
clear that we cannot talk about patriarchy without talking about
white supremacy.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Absolutely, God, we're the worst, aren't we. Everything about us
is awful, But we do the work, guys. That's why
we come here on Wednesdays and every other day to
do the work. And these ladies are going to continue
to tell us. By the way Jess very Hot puts
her makeup on, all of these things that she does
is her putting her makeup on talking about how evil

(56:35):
and bad we are. And I'm just glad that you know,
like I know, that you're all evil and bad, like
we all are. Because we're just the worst.

Speaker 13 (56:42):
Patriarchy and white supremacy are not separate systems. They actively
play off each other and reinforce one another. And when
racism and misogyny intersect, you get misogynal water, which is
a specific prejudice and hatred towards black women.

Speaker 14 (56:53):
And black women will.

Speaker 13 (56:54):
Always feel the effects of patriarchy the most because of
white supremacy. And that's why it's important to name what
like Erica Kirk and Caroline Levet are doing, as well
as unpack the ways white women engage in patriarchal bargaining,
because a lot of times white women are not only
aligning with patriarchy, but specifically with white patriarchal power.

monthly saving a bunch of, money and the whole thing

(01:02:58):

my son plays video, games a lot of. People my
producer for my local, show he's really he's a big.
Gamer why is that a bad? Thing? Now if forgets

okay that's that. Understandable but why is that any different
than if you're scrolling TikTok all day or you, know influencer.

(01:03:24):
Stuff why is that any? Different BUT i can guarantee
it's not just that the minute that you go, golfing
she is going to say you're cut because you were
out there too long with your friends having a, beer
having a? Beer how dare? You who do you think you?

Speaker 30 (01:03:40):

Instant by the, way you're never cut. Here that's why
we love. You so it's interesting ARTICLE i came across
because everybody's talking about the the. Economy obviously it's a huge.
Deal and and so you had the quiet, Quitting you

(01:04:02):
had all these. Things you had ghost. Jobs that was
a big. Day now there's ghost growth and nearly two
out of THREE us employees say they've faced what they
now call ghost. Growth and maybe this is, you and
we'd love to hear from.

Speaker 20 (01:04:16):
You so.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
This in terms, of you, know the job world is
career advancement that looks good on paper but fails to
deliver as far as, pay, promotion meaningless. Responsibilities so they
give you a bump in. Title, right your card said something,
new your email signature says something. New you've got something

(01:04:40):
new given to. You but in reality it's just a.
Title your pay doesn't go, up. Right the responsibilities you
get are pretty. Useless they don't add to. Anything and
it's not really a, promotion it's it's a faux. Promotion
it's a faux. Motion oh that's a good. One write
that one, down And i'm, like, YEAH i was talking

(01:05:05):
to a friend of mine who works in the radio
industry and he just got one of those fauxmotions where it's,
like they gave me the title of something THAT i
was already, doing but they didn't give me any. Money
they gave me a little bit more, responsibility but it's

(01:05:28):
just the sit AND i was, Like, eh that. Sucks it.
Does sixty five percent of people say they've experienced ghost,
growth fifty three percent say their career appears to be
growing but doesn't feel like, it and forty nine percent
say they are in a situation where they feel they
have plateaued in their. Career so about fifty percent of

(01:05:49):
people say they've plateaued in their career and their company
tries to mask it with superficial, opportunities and seven out
of ten workers say they've considered quitting because of this
very interesting let me know what you think three, two, three, five, three,
eight twenty four to twenty Three At Chad benson's, Show
it's YOUR, x Your, insta YouTube and more coming. Up

Show hashtag me, too hashtag immigration, reforms hashtag. Help i'm
trapped in a hashtag factory AND i can't get out
the Chat.

Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
Bens it's that time of the program where we give
you a little fun when it comes to. Words. Kids
we love helping you with the youth Of america because
many of us have the youth Of america around, us
whether it's at work or our, kids and we're trying
to figure out what the hell are you people. Saying
now it's time for the urban word of the. Day

(01:08:20):
the young have a vocabulary all their own and we
break it down for. You it's called the urban word
of the. Day it's very interesting the urban word of
the day today because it kind of goes with what
we're just talking about with the. Jobs so with the ghost, Growth,
well guess what employers can do? It so can? Employees

(01:08:41):
what task? Masking task? Masking what is? That that is
giving a false sense of you, know a false impression
if you, will that you're doing something at work and
being uber. Productive you're you're, Overdoing you're putting a little
bit of the ustered. On as we would. Say, oh

(01:09:02):
let me give you an, example, Man jim is he
just works day and. Night? Yeah, Really now he's task.
Masking he plays video. Game he's not really doing, anything
but it sure looks like he's doing something in his.
Cube task masking your urban word. Today that was the
urban word of the. Day, now you, know it's always

(01:09:23):
good to. Know it's always good to know what your
kids are up to as. WELL cs that's consumer electronic
show what's going on? There?

Speaker 10 (01:09:30):
Now this is The Cosmo Junior track. Five it is
a smart watch for kids and what it does is
it helps parents keep track of their. Children it costs
ninety nine. Dollars it has a ten dollars a month subscription.
Charge there are a few extra add ons you can
get on the subscription that costs a little bit. More
but it's got basic phone functionalities so they can call
home and nowhere else and other numbers that you, specify text, messaging,

(01:09:51):
geolocation all that good. Stuff and for kids that don't
want to wear a, watch or perhaps for schools that
are now not allowing watches to be worn on kids,
arms at least the smart, watches they have a clippable
version here that can clip to a backpack so that
it is not going to violate school. Rules, now of
course every school has got different, rules but my kid's,
school it just needs to be in the backpack and

(01:10:13):
not making, noise so you can have it not make
any noises or beeps or vibrations during the school. Day
you can keep it clipped to the backpack, here and
it's essentially the same, device just in a clippable. Form
so this is The Junior track five From.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
COSMO i think that's pretty. Cool so The Junior track,
five so it's an air tag without being an air,
tag but it does more and it's a limited smart
watch that connects you and your, family WHICH i think
is totally. Awesome right that's a pretty awesome, thing right.
There these are things that are, useful AND i continue
to SAY i have seen a lot of useful. Things you,

(01:10:47):
Know normally you see a bunch of stuff that's whacky and,
crazy and we've talked about. That but this right here
is the flashlight we mentioned. Earlier several of you text,
in so this flashlight is kind of it's not a,
flashlight it's a. Computer it's almost like having your own ring.
Doorbell that's a flashlight that you take. Places.

Speaker 10 (01:11:04):
Now this device is called The timely and it might
look like a, flashlight which it, is but it also
has an integrated camera and AN sos feature along WITH.
Gps so if you're out walking your dog or, whatever
you can just turn it on and use it as a.
Flashlight but you have some, trouble you can hit the
emergency button. There and what it's going to do is
transmit to a dispatcher your. Location with THE, gps you'll

(01:11:26):
be able to talk through it with two way communication
and it uses a cellular connection for, that and it
will also send the live video to the dispatch at
the same, Time so if you are finding yourself in a,
situation you have a lot of information going to the
dispatch service to get you. Help now when it's in flashlight,
mode it'll also record all the, time so even if
you don't have an, emergency you do have a record

(01:11:48):
of where you were walking in case something was going.
On and of course they have an app that attaches to.
It this is two ninety. Nine you get a year
of service with, that and then the subsequent years are
ninety nine dollars for the subscription per.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Year that's not bad at, All so that's pretty. Awesome
check that. Out and, again price points for these things
are very very reasonable comparatively to what we've seen in the.
Past three, two, three, five three, eight twenty four to
twenty Three atch Had benz shows Your Extra insta you
have to YouTube been more right here on The Chad
bens And shoe coming up our number three of the

Show media is changing every single. Day imagine you just
hanging out one day and you you, know you're trying
to be an. Influencer you got some, followers but it's nothing,
crazy and then you decide to say a little something
funny right for your favorite. Drink oh tell me tell

(01:13:54):
me this lady did trying to be an. Influencer it's
changing her.

Speaker 24 (01:13:58):
LIFE i have a theme song For Duck pepper and
it goes like, This Doctor pepper.

Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
Bay bee is good and. Nice you're, like, well what
was that? About people just liked, it and then everybody
started to do what remix?

Speaker 16 (01:14:15):
It?

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
No, yeah take a listen, again Doctor pepper Bay bee
is good and. Nice oh so you mean like.

Speaker 17 (01:14:27):
Is? Good stepper.

Speaker 14 (01:14:32):
Is good?

Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
Good, yeah changed, everything hundreds of thousands of, followers twelve million,
views and it is exploded. Everywhere Doctor pepper's reach out
to her several other brands have. Overnight your life can
change the new world of media is awesome and we

(01:14:58):
need good stories like this because there's a lot of
bad stories out, there but we focus on an all
baby And Doctor pep the baby it's good and. NAE
i want to remind everybody that that's gonna get stuck
in your. Head and you know HOW i know it's
made an. IMPACT i have. KIDS i have a seventeen year,

(01:15:19):
OLD i have two fifteen year, olds AND i have
a seven year. Old and my wife brought this to my.
ATTENTION i had seen, it BUT i didn't really realize
how much it had blown. Up and lo and, behold
my seven year old's walking around Going Doctor peper, baby
it's good and nice and you know what she? Likes Dr?

(01:15:39):
Pepper what? Crazy? Right, absolutely it's all about the. Messaging it.
Is it's all about the. Messaging and if you don't believe,
ME i want you to listen to this at a
time when you've got a president that's like. Isolationalism this
is what we're. Doing what's best For america. Isolationism this is.

(01:16:02):
It it's the most important. Thing we're not getting into fourign,
wars we're not doing any of these, things et, cetera et,
cetera et. Cetera and then all of a sudden we're into.
Wars we're doing things like what those they're not? Wars
there's this any other come? On and then what do you? Do,
well you spin it and then you tell, everybody, yeah
this is what's. Happening, NO i, really where would you

(01:16:23):
even hear about something like?

Speaker 12 (01:16:24):
That In george orwell'snineteen eighty, four there's a part where
the government announces a generous increase in chocolate. Rations, specifically
The ministry Of plenty says that the chocolate ration is
being raised to twenty grams per, week even though it
had just been thirty grams the previous, week so it
was a. Cut the ration had gone, down not, up
but the announcement is presented as celebratory and citizens are
expected to be excited and grateful without noticing the. Contradiction

(01:16:48):
in the, Story orwell was showing how propaganda, works how
it often relies on you hearing two opposing, truths like
chocolate went from thirty grams to twenty, grams but also
the government just gave us a generous increase in, chocolate
and then suppressing the. Trediction how it often relies on
erasing the. Baseline the faster you can get the public
to forget the prior, condition the fact that they had
thirty grams of chocolate, before the easier it is for

(01:17:08):
people to be unable to accurately judge whether things are
actually getting better or. Worse and how it often relies
on gratitude for the. Loss the party doesn't just want
people to accept. Less they want people to feel grateful
for what they are.

Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
Getting isn't that? Crazy are you thankful for what you're?
Getting and again it's about spinning the. Narrative my. Frustration,
look you didn't say. That the funny thing, is and
we've talked about. This nobody else would talk about, this
SO i. Will SO i don't give rats. Ask you,
Know i've seen everybody, else even Yesterday Megan kelly talking

(01:17:41):
about essentially That fox has become you, Know russian, propaganda
you know kind of thing that we would think, about
but for this, administration and you spin it in such
a way where it starts out like, what, well first
it starts out With Trendea ragua's, here, right and they're

(01:18:02):
evil and, bad so we got to do something about.
It and it's because Of. Venezuela and it's the next,
thing you, know it's because of all the. Drugs and
they're killing so many people and oh my goodness me
and they've got a GUY i can't, believe howny people
are killing they're killing so many, people all these, drugs
and it's about, this that and the. Other it's about. Fentanyl,
time when everything breaks down the way it starts to,
go you come to find out it's really it's just about.
Oil but each time it's oh, yeah oh, yeah oh, yeah,

(01:18:25):
absolutely that's, right that's, right we're doing. This you don't
want them to, win do? You AND i get that
from you, know the PEOPLE i work with a lot of. Times,
yeah if you don't Bomb, iran it's because you want
the terrorists to. Win if you don't kill everybody In,
palestine it's because you want the terrorists to. Win it's, like,
no none of that's what did you get. That, well

(01:18:46):
if you don't want to Stop, venezuela all these people
are gonna. Die In. America trump saved over four hundred
million people from all the bombings and of the ships
and the taking. Over no it's, no it's, not it's
now it's being. Sold my frustration isn't with the. Politicians,

(01:19:06):
right the politicians are going to do what they. Do
they've always done, it they always will do. It democrats
lied for how long About Joe? Biden the media lied
for how long About Joe biden and his cognitive awareness
of what was happening on any given, day till eventually

(01:19:28):
the emperor realized he had no clothes and it was too.
Late so my frustration is with people who JUST i
sit there AND i have a conversation with them and
they'll nod their, head, yeah, yeah we shouldn't do. That
and then they go and do that and they, said

(01:19:50):
well we had to do. That well they had to do.
It and that's you're just, like have you no independent?
Thought is there nothing in your mind that is independent
where you can? Look AND i will criticize all sides
of the, aisle and no problem with, That always, have
always Will democrats. Failed somebody asked me the other day
BECAUSE i did a video before the election of Why

(01:20:13):
Donald trump Over Kamala and they, said do you regret?

Speaker 17 (01:20:17):
That?

Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
NO i look at, You, democrats AND i, say what
have you? Done what choice did any reasonable human being
have based on what you had? Done immigration being a massive?
Issue what actual real argument could you make for any? Issue?

(01:20:44):
None you. Couldn't While i'm not thrilled by a lot
of What trump has, done some of it's really. Good
stopping what was going on on the border was a big.
DEAL i had no problems with. That But, democrats when you, go,
oh see what? Happens you to? Him you knew this
was going to. Happen what choice did you give? People what?

(01:21:04):
Choice when you put bad candidates up and they, lose
don't blame the other side for Going look whether it's
the lesser or two, evils OR i really like this,
Person that's WHY i chose this. Person that is my frustration.
Level and the people out there who continue to buy

(01:21:24):
in to whatever any administration or politician they never are
curious about is What i'm hearing the. Truth and you know,
why because you've made your entire, identity your political. Belief
and because you've made your entire identity your political, belief

(01:21:46):
you've made yourself really a slave to the, tribe where
you're afraid to go against, it even if you know
right that you're not getting the As orwell said in
nineteen eighty four from The ministry Of, plenty you're getting
less and you know, it but you're thanking everybody and

(01:22:09):
pretending as if you are getting. More it's just, nuts
it really, is and, frustrating frustrating as. Hell out, there
we're getting ready to go Into. Greenland what the hell
are we going to do In? Greenland, well you don't even, Understand.
Chaed let me tell. You let me tell you About
greenland and why it's important that we go in. There

(01:22:30):

Speaker 1 (01:31:52):
Your experience speakin. Over everyone got a fend for every
human sin blocks you if you don't shine. In it's
white Woman. Wednesday that's, Right white Woman wednesday doing white
women thing ladies and. Gentlemen, kylie you just got in
The university of penn for a graduate degree telling us,

(01:32:13):
all well pretty? Much how stupid are many people on
the right?

Speaker 18 (01:32:18):
ARE a lot of racists aren't smart enough to intentionally be.
MANIPULATIVE i think many people overestimate the cognitive capacity of
racist because the truth of the matter is that they
follow into these traps because it's a method of categorical,
thinking which is a form of bias that relies on
grouping people into categories to stereotype. Them so they are
taking mental shortcuts every, day and they don't think it's.

(01:32:38):
Racist they genuinely believe the inherent qualities of someone who
is black is, this or someone who is hispanic is,
this and anyone who doesn't have those qualities is an
exception to the. Rule so they aren't trying to be
intentionally manipulative and avoid.

Speaker 14 (01:32:52):
Accountability they are just.

Speaker 18 (01:32:53):
Stupid they think that the only way they can be
racist is by intentionally being racist to someone on. Purpose
anything else doesn't count to. Them there is no such
thing as systemic and. Justice police officers are fair and,
just and they live in this world as a coping
mechanism so that they don't have to identify all of
the racist behaviors they have with. Them they believe microaggressions

(01:33:14):
or police shootings of black people are literally just bleftist.
Propaganda and this isn't an excuse for them at, all
but it's an.

Speaker 14 (01:33:21):
Explanations they're literally just being.

Speaker 1 (01:33:22):
Stupid, there you guys, go you're just effing. Stupid do
you realize that it's black and? White with? Her there's no.
Nuance she goes on and one of the other ones
talk about. It if you're singing a rap song and
THE nd words in there and you play it or
you say it or something like, that you are as
racist as it. Comes and everybody is racist as long

(01:33:44):
as you're, white it can only be in that, direction mostly,
male but the women. Also because you inherently give the
men the opportunity to be, racist then you raised the
children to also be. Racist if you guys didn't know,

(01:34:04):
that did you guys not know that that? Happens you
didn't know that you're raising the children to also be,
very very. Racist some people just don't get. That they
don't understand that that. Happens, okay when you raise children
a certain, way, right it's you, know like just, normal

(01:34:27):
just normal is.

Speaker 18 (01:34:28):
Racist most white people have the emotional intelligence of five year,
olds not specifically extends to their knowledge of. Racism so
while people of color grew up experiencing racism and knew
what it was before they could even articulate, it white
people are intentionally sheltered and kept away from. That and
because white people don't engage in conversations about, race they
often perpetuate white supremacy even without knowing, it because most

(01:34:50):
white parents think that it's too disturbing for young white
kids to learn about what their ancestors did to other
people of. Color that's why specifically my CONTENT i cater
towards white because genuinely their knowledge of these things is,
solo and it's hilarious because the essence of my content, is, hey,
guys it's bad to be, Racist, like don't do. That
and here's why you shouldn't say THE n.

Speaker 14 (01:35:11):
Word here's the history behind the.

Speaker 18 (01:35:13):
Word, no you actually can't say a slur even if
other people say, it because it's bad and.

Speaker 14 (01:35:18):
It hurts people's.

Speaker 18 (01:35:18):
Feelings Like i'm basically just gentle parenting them on my.
Channel and that's what pisss white people off so, much
because even in the very watered down version THAT i
present to, them they do not want to hear. It
it's actually.

Speaker 1 (01:35:30):
Insane are you doing the? Work because if you're not
doing the, work you're. Failing she's doing the. Work that's
why we hear in The Chad Benson, show are sexceeding? Kids,
okay that's a little white Woman wednesday for.

Speaker 30 (01:35:43):
You, meanwhile maritime tracking sites indicate the ship is close
to THE uk And. Iceland The Coast guard has been
tracking The belo one for two weeks and attempted to
seize it when it was still in The, caribbean apparently
on its way To. Venezuela in the past, month THE
us has seized two other oil tankers for operating in
violation OF us.

Speaker 1 (01:36:00):
Sanctions that's, right, kids we have seized A russian flagged.
Tanker what. Yes in a statement ON x the vessel
was seized in The North atlantic pursue it to a
warrant issued BY us federal court after being tracked BY Uscgc.

(01:36:22):
Monroe that's the Coast. Guard so we've got. It we've
got The bella. Now it used to be CALLED i
think The Marina marana something like, that and they changed the.
Name so we've got that. Now that's not going to
cause any. Problems we're doing it, all, Kids we're doing it.

(01:36:43):
All it's all. Happening can't stop it Next greenland can't
wait to get. There you don't even get.

Speaker 16 (01:36:49):
It.

Speaker 1 (01:36:49):
Cheat i've been telling you for a while all the
bad things that The greenland people. Do speaking of interesting,
stuff because we do like talking about all kinds of.
Things it has been a year since a portion of
Southern california burnt to the.

Speaker 5 (01:37:05):
Ground one year ago, today The Eton fire In altadena
and The Palisades fire In Los angeles destroyed thousands of
homes and took thirty one. Lives wind gusts of nearly
one hundred miles per hour carried flames into, communities burning
block after. Block more than sixteen thousand structures were, flattened.

Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
Flattened, gone doesn't exist. Anymore and remember they got what
one or two people that have been, charged one person in.
Particular it's the whole thing, again it's just the, incompetence
the cover, ups the. Lies the frustration that people have

(01:37:46):
is having tons of friends, there having lived there of you,
know for a lot of my. Life it is so.
Frustrating and even now you go and it looks like
some sort of horrific you know movie that it's like

(01:38:09):
it's bombed. Out there's nothing that's dystopian.

Speaker 6 (01:38:12):
Driving Through Alta. Dina now it is if you roll
down the, windows a sea of, sounds of, hammers of
saws going of buildings that are going. Up but there
are still so many, lots lot after lot where nothing
has really even started on those.

Speaker 1 (01:38:30):
Lots nothing nothing. Started those lots are a, mess nothing
has gone. On some of them haven't been cleared because of, why,
well Because california Is. California it is extremely.

Speaker 6 (01:38:45):
Complicated you think about insurance payouts and trying to go
through the red, tape and, yeah the government has locally
gotten rid of a lot of the, bureaucracy but still
there are hoops that they've got to go. Through and
for people who are old or many of them are, saying,
look it's not worth. It they're going to take insurance
money and go somewhere.

Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
Else it's it is so. Frustrating WHEN i talked to
some of my friends who had to uproot their, lives
they lost, everything and it's you, know they would say to, me,
look it's not about, me, RIGHT i have a family
and we were living at hotels for a, while and

(01:39:24):
then we're living seventy miles away from where we. Did
the school burned. Down my kids can't go to the same,
school they can't play the same. Sports their life has
been upended all over, again and it is. Sad they
can't even get permits in certain. Places no matter how
they try to make it seem like they've made it,

(01:39:45):
easier the reality is it's a. Lie they. Haven't they
moved the goalpost a little, bit but it's still a hot.
Mess Karen bass is out there, today the mayor of
la talking, about you, know just droning on and on
about how hard everything is you continue to make it.
Hard and now what's happening is the vultures are coming.

(01:40:06):
In they're buying everything on the. Cheap it is Ridiculous.
California once, again everybody's looking at you and realizing this
is why you. HAULD a lot are going, out not

to the, Program god bless, You thank you so much
for tuning in to. Us and again we talk about
politics and pop culture and, everything but we also talk
a little nostalgia And One Hit Wonder wednesday is where
we dive deep deep into a song that hit the.
Charts maybe the band is still, recognizable but this was

(01:42:19):
the only hit they, had and in many, cases like
the one, today the song itself is very. Recognizable many
people have no idea the name of the band. Is you,
guys ready to do. It it's the first one of the.
Year let's get to.

Speaker 15 (01:42:33):
It.

Speaker 19 (01:42:34):
Now it's time for another edition Of One Hit Wonder.
Wednesday you may not remember the name of the, band.

Speaker 1 (01:42:53):
But you definitely know the. Song This.

Speaker 21 (01:43:03):
Pruser this is One Hit Wonder. Wednesday all, right so today's.

Speaker 1 (01:43:10):
Band they're one of the top two or three bands
depending on what polls you're looking, at where people recognize the,
song no idea the name of the. Band there were
A scottish trio out Of, dundee a Banda. Dundee you.
Know it's pretty, nice is? It it is what it.
Is and originally they were Called Spencer. Tracy they were

(01:43:31):
signed By VIRGIN. USA i think they were the first,
band But Spencer tracy's a person and they, said, no
you can't do. That so they had about a minute
to figure out the name of the band that they
were going to be. Called and they've got this kind
of you, know cool you, Know Frank sinatra vibes and

(01:43:52):
so they went with the name of a fictional character
and that was Called Danny. Wilson the band's actually Called Danny.
Wilson so the song that they had that went to
number three in THE uk number twenty three here in
THE us has never really disappeared from the. World the

(01:44:14):
band themselves broke up after another album or. Sold they
just they're still, friends just diminishing. Returns they, said wasn't.
Working and this song is. Incredible And i'll be honest
off if you were to tell, Me, chad you olikin
listen to five songs for the rest of your, life
this would be one of the SONGS i would listen.

(01:44:35):
To it peaked at number twenty three in THE. Us
it is a slow burned, classic but is one when
you start to hear, it you'll recognize exactly What Danny
wilson did when they put this song. Together here it is,
kids a Little Mary's prayer From Danny. Wilson everything being

(01:44:58):
here is heavily.

Speaker 20 (01:45:43):
I made such a big state WHEN i was veryser
so we fussy.

Speaker 1 (01:45:51):
Said now people listen to, it they get some romantic,
song and it's really a song about what they said

(01:46:13):
was moral. Resistance right being young and then looking back
and you had all this. Temptation he had this opportunity
in front of you for even somebody you may have,
loved but you didn't pay attention to, it and it got.
Away and Now mary is somebody else's and you wish
her the, best and it's just an amazing. Song for,

(01:46:33):
years people thought it Was tears For. Fears they thought
it was simply read another amazing, Band but, nope it's
a trio of guys who put a song, together who
actually in an hour wrote the big part of, it
but they couldn't figure out what to do with the
rest of. It So Gary, clark who has since become

(01:46:55):
a massive, songwriter was Watching time of The pops and
Saw Karma chameleon picked up his guitar and then all
of a sudden he came up with the rest of.
It and the rest of, it kids is. History it
is one of those songs you hear everywhere all the,
time especially during nostalgic, scenes and it's amazing the fuck slip,

(01:47:30):
by but it is our first one hit wonder of the.
Year the trio The Danny Wilson group out Of dundee
with their, hits their only hits to this day that
everybody still loves from nineteen eighty. Seven it Is Mary's,
