Speaker 1 (00:01):
What's going on everybody? And welcome back to another episode
of The Challenge Sanaddicts Podcast, where we're here to break
down Challenge forty Battle of the Eras Episode thirteen, Best
Friends four Era. My name is Josh Green. You can
find us on all social media platforms at Challenge fan Pod.
Please don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe wherever it
is you listen to your podcasts of choice. And I'm

(00:25):
here with one of my best friends to talk about
episode thirteen. Awesome, people said, Austin, how you doing.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
We're doing great. It was a great episode. We're getting
close to.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
The final and man, drama's heating up. Also, just hearing
Aviv and Rachel talk about how long they've been in
the house. It's almost been three months at this point.
Absolutely crazy and you can imagine when they fight, like
it's not like they I don't know, they just it's
like I think everybody's just so comfortable with each other
that they're getting just you know, tiny X is causing
people to argue, and that's just it's like family fighting.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Couldn't agree more aside from the Johnny and Michelle that
seems very personal, but everything else.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
It is now yeah, but again it's like you have
your crazy uncle that's getting on your nerves, right, that's
kind of how how that's going, and he won't stop
bothering the shit out of you.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Johnny really is the crazy uncle now with both his
age and how long he's been doing the show. You
mentioned the angels, we're getting some foot fetishes, the toes.
We see it before the Daily, you know, Michelle has

(01:35):
her shot at Avive and the bus on the way
back from the Daily, which as someone who went back
and watched a lot of these seasons, I loved and
we'll dive into it more after His Daily, but I
loved that they showed us the scene from the bus
because we don't get as many of those lately, you know,

(01:56):
like coming home from a party or going to her
from a Daily. We used to get those all the
time back in the day, so I was happy that
they included this year. Good old Derek Shavez bring him
the laughs for me. Here, Josh and Michelle are getting
into it and Derek Derek maintains his cooking teaching that

(02:20):
he's given Michelle for the tortillas. As Michelle is screaming
at Josh and Mananna's very funny.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I mean, Derek's like, okay, and this is how you flip,
and Michelle's just like, you don't even just yelling at Bananas,
very funny. Like as Michelle's yelling, you can hear you
can you can hear Derek very slightly in the background.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Giving tips about how to cook this stuff. It was
just very funny all time.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
And listen, Like, I know there's some people have thrown
around the word luck with Derek, but like I really
I don't think any part of his success this season
has been luck.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Like oh, Bananas said it during this episode that he's
played a great social game and that's where he why
he is where he is.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
And yes, obviously the format, if you can pick any
person on this cast, he has the closest relationships with
people of the opposite sex, So this voting format benefits
him the most of that. Yeah, well Bananas too because
of the angels.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
But the angels gotta win though.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
I mean he's winning.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
He's winning eliminations, and we can talk about this. He's
winning eliminations and he's he's putting another girl, so every
time that girl wins, he's gonna be put in righty.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
When we can talk.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
About it, but if it ever boils down to it, strategically,
you should consider making some of the angels targets and
then he won't be picked and then you can continue to.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Do that back and forth.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
But it's a tough it's a tough it's a tough
hill just led.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
It is tough, and I do I do see it
for that. But I mean for Derek, it's just been
it's really been a masterclass this season for him. He's
been doing a really great job. And I just love
this moment from him, Like it was so he was
so like I'm not getting involved, like I don't want

(04:16):
to paint the target on my back, and he's like
teaching Michelle as they're yelling at each other, and it
was great. But you know, Bananas is you know, he's
sticking up for Josh, and you know he knows how
to rile people up. But I gotta say, like, I

(04:39):
think I agree with the majority of the Challengers. It's
got to be so like I get Josh has a
lot of friends, but you don't see anybody else in
Challenge history rooting for both people in elimination as often
as Josh does, and that's got to be so annoying

(05:03):
if you're competing with him. And look, I have given
Josh a lot of credit this season. I really think
that he has played a better game for the most part.
Like you mentioned earlier with Rachel and Aviv saying how
long they've been there, it's got to be getting on
these people's nerves.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah, it's tough.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
The other thing, too, is like you always see people
in the challenge complain that somebody's not loyal. Yeah, then,
but then on the far extreme other side of that,
you have Josh who's loyal to everybody.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
And I get it.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
And the I think it's Josh is I think outside
of the house, Josh is a very friendly person. Like
he doesn't he gets along with everybody, so it's not
really his fault. And like I understand, like you get
in a game where you have to pick a side
and you have friends on the other side, and you
don't want to like screw him over. But like I
just think he he he can words some of this

(05:57):
stuff maybe better or just worded as Listen, we're friends
outside of the house, you know this. But one I'm
on this side here, and like I have to make decisions.
I can't screw these people over, and like, that's what
I have to do. You can keep friends doing that.
I think he's too worried about You're gonna piss people
off for a little bit and.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Then they'll be fine. Right, It's a games.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
But at the end of the day, if you're on
another side and you're getting this far into the game,
you have to make decisions. You just have to, and
they and your friends would be able to understand.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yeah, And I think what I think it like comes
back to, I do not understand why people are assuming
that Josh just because he turned his back on Bananas
in USA two. He only did that because he saw
a path to the end and he was one stray
vote away from getting to the final on that season.

(06:50):
Other than that, like, Josh is not going to turn
on Bananas. They have been close to the whole time
Josh has been on the show. They live in the
same state down in Florida. Like, I'm sure they hang out,
you know, here and there. It just was not gonna happen.
So I do you know, I see Johnny sticking up

(07:12):
for Josh. I think you know he they've kind of
mended things and you're You're right, like it could be
worded better, but at the end of the day, like,
I'm not surprised at who Josh backs here. So we
we head to this daily called forty yard Dash. There

(07:33):
is a giant forty carved out in this field and
there are many puzzle pieces that the challengers have to retrieve.
There are six of them to retrieve. The last place
woman is automatically into elimination, the last place man is

(07:53):
with a time penalty heading into the next daily, and
we have Michelle with a one minute time penalty on
this one. I like this because I also have seen
this puzzle on Survivor before at the end, and I
think like it had multiple components to it, like it

(08:17):
wasn't just like a we know who's gonna win from
the jump, you know. So yeah, I'm glad it had
multiple skill sets again, Jordan and Kyland, you know, tip
for tat here, just like it's been in a lot

(08:38):
of these dailies.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
And Banana was right up there too until he got
to the puzzle part.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah. Yeah. And our Maria, someone who notably not good
at puzzles, she puts this thing together very quickly and
then out loud says it, Oh, it's a pyramid. So

(09:05):
I'm sure everyone else picked up on that and started
figuring out what to do. But kudos to Kara as
she was a target this week. We really you know,
obviously we've had a lot of Car this season with
the Laurel stuff. But Car saves herself here, big win.

(09:29):
Jordan wisely's safe from being a target. A big win
for Jordan, and we have the Obbostine ends of the
spectrum here, to the surprise of No. One, Corey Wharton
gets last place on a challenge ending in a puzzle,
and then Michelle, which is very surprising with how good

(09:52):
she is at these puzzles, gets last place and we'll
have a disadvantage heading into next week. I gotta say
sometimes these dailies, like especially when they're showing the same thing,
like twelve times in a row and they have a
commercial break in between, Like I got checked out, but
I was like, I was pretty locked into this daily

(10:15):
and I enjoyed it. I don't know how you felt
about it, but I liked the daily too.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Yeah, I would like to see physical stuff, but like.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
This is fine.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I thought the mud taking people's shoes off was also
very funny.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
So that's probably a good flavor to this. That was great. Yeah,
we see a Viv as she's running this thing without shoes,
still doesn't get last place. I mean, and this has
been multiple weeks for a Viv where she was having
a ton of pain running on her heel. She doesn't

(10:52):
get last in the mini final. She is somehow getting
through all of these different obstacles as they've set up
to get to the puzzle pieces in rough terrain, running
either barefoot or with socks whatever, no shoes doesn't get
last place either. Again, like I we talked about it

(11:14):
on the Rachel Robinson podcast, which if you haven't listened,
go check it out. But Rachel was like, listen to
anybody who was underestimating Aviv made a huge mistake, like
just because she hasn't been on the show for eighteen years,
Like she came to play and she's been showing it
all season. Uh, great season so far.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
From a Viv And yeah, underrated too.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Really very much underrated. Yeah, I mean I think you know,
the old schoolers knew like her and Durell had won together,
they knew that, like you know, she's a strong girl.
But like again, it was also talked about that Aviv
was like a last minute replacement. I believe, if what's

(12:04):
out there is correct, that Melinda was supposed to be
the Era two girl in that spot and then she
she had to back out due to some family things
going on, and ultimately Aviv was able to to go
from being an alternate to getting that spot. And we've

(12:28):
we've had these stories before on seasons, and it's crazy,
like Aviv goes from you know, flying out on location
not thinking she's going to be on the season, to
now she's one of the last twelve people left in
the game.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Crazy, Yeah, really underrated.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
She's done, She's done a great job.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
And we we find out from TJ here with the results,
we have no need for a chamber this week, which
I was kind of happy about to be honest, like
we knew what they were going to decide.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yeah, Jordan, Jordan got Hella lucky too.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yes, yes, that is very true. Jordan gets very lucky here.
He does not have to be the one to have
the decision of do I send in Olivia or do
I send in Kara. It's already decided for him. And

(13:23):
we you know what I will say, I would have
liked to have seen Jordan make the decision because we
have seen, uh, Jordan get closer with Kara this season.
It's been very weird because they were mortal enemies before,
and uh, I think it would have been cool to

(13:46):
see a decision be made.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
But yeah, I agree, and it would have like you know,
he draw draw the line in the sand and exposed him.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
But yeah, yeah, so, uh, you know, car wins, Michelle
got last place, so Olivia automatically is going in against Michelle.
You know, they're reminiscing together about how long they played
the game together, and uh, we go back to the bus,
and you know, I think I think Michelle just wanted

(14:21):
to show that like I know what you're doing, Johnny,
and like I see through your bullshit and I'm not
gonna let you walk all over me, which like is
a decent attitude to have, but I think, you know,
it would have just been better to like leave a

(14:42):
viv out of it, with the like, oh, we're not
touching toes type of thing.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Yeah, Johnny has clearly gotten to her.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
I mean he's done exactly what he wants to do,
and that's basically what it shows.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, and you know, Johnny. This is where Johnny excels
in the game. He knows when to do this. He
knows the longer they're in this house, the longer that
they're away from their support systems back home, the more
people are emotionally drained. So he knows it's going to work,

(15:18):
and it does. And I give him credit because as
much as I love Michelle, like everyone knows how Johnny
Bananas plays this game. He has made it his career,
his livelihood doing this. It's nothing different. Yeah, it's what

(15:41):
he does.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Also, I think one thing we didn't talk about when.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Michelle was talking about I think I get what she
was saying, but also, like.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Michelle was talking about how she's.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Similar to Carl Maria, Yeah, and we're kind of just
I was kind of just like, huh. But I think
at the end of the day, she was talking about
how she had to like crawl through the game and
scrap scrape through the game like Car has, which I get.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
So I thought about it from a little bit of
a different perspective. I I was thinking that Michelle was
saying that because in the beginning of Car's challenge career,
I mean, we remember this from a long time ago
because Car's been on the show for so long now.
But I mean, they still show the clip of Laurel

(16:32):
calling Kara a JV player and how like she can't
run a final and she can't win, and then you
see Cara's arc and then she wins by herself against
the guys on vendettas, and like we've seen her do
all these incredible things. So I think Michelle was thinking

(16:53):
of it, Like everyone underestimates me on Survivor. I've never
been voted out before. Everyone underestimates me on the challenge,
and I've made it past the halfway point every season
aside from one.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeah, but yeah, I have Like I get that.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I don't think she's close to Carl Maria's level in
terms of performance. Socially, she's phenomenal socially, Yeah, physically, I don't,
you know, obviously physically she's like near the bottom. So like,
I think the eliminations, dude, like she's gotten very lucky
with the eliminations that she's had. They've been very easy
against kind of lower opponents. I mean, I don't think

(17:33):
she's beaten anyone super good in any physical elimination. She
won this past one because Olivia couldn't figure out a
word puzzle, like Olivia probably sat there for Olivia had
a huge lead and she cannot figure out the puzzle.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
So I do. And I like, I've seen that discourse.
But the thing that I think about, and you know,
it's the same people say it about Devin with how
he's gotten lucky in the eliminations that he's had. But
and you can put in like any challenger who has

(18:13):
a good elimination record, and there's gonna be somebody who says, oh,
they've been lucky. The thing I say to that is, though,
and I think people have gotten away from this, like
the challenge is not just physical eliminations. Like I get
that Michelle, Devin, you know Ky well Kayland's dominated in

(18:37):
every type of elimination. Ye crazy, I get that Wes
some well, no Wes is dominated. But my point is
with like Michelle and Devin in particular, like people have said,
especially over these last couple of years, like oh, they
get lucky, they get lucky. We've seen so many different
random types of eliminations. But Michelle would be the first

(19:00):
to admit that, like if she was in a headbanger,
she would have lost to Olivia, you know. Yeah, So
I don't think it's that she's like this overinflated sense
of ego or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
No, yeah, no, No, he's been very humble. I think
there are times when.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
You know, you're kind of like okay, but but I
think that's with anybody.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
So like, yeah, I get what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
It's it's interesting though, because like there there is this
like we do think about, you know, boys, that convenient
that this type of elimination came in here. But I mean, well,
we'll talk about tonight's elimination in a little bit and
cross that bridge there. But so Vive talks to Michelle

(19:51):
and Olivia. She she just said like, hey, girls, like
I've really been supporting you. I you know, there's no
reason not to support the women this season. Like we
can't vote each other into elimination. We can't the guys
control what girls go in and we control what guy's
going so there's really no need for us to be,

(20:13):
you know, getting personal with each other. I think Aviv
handled that conversation really well, you know, just approaching it.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Yeah, I mean, and how often you see that happen
in the challenge You're kind of like hearing that, you're like,
WHOA a reasonable conversation, It's crazy. Yeah, I V has
been great. I think Rachel has said it too, like
Aviv is not used to this type of type of gameplay,
which I don't know. The Challenge has always been nasty though,
so I don't really know what he meant by that.

(20:46):
Maybe I don't know, but like I don't know, get
I get I guess I get it. But like, dude,
if you think back to some of the older Challenges,
they were fucking nasty to people, Like, so I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
So what I do think could have been behind that
is like Aviv did the one season with Durell they won,
and then she left the chad like she was still
friends with people in the Challenge world. Yeah, but like
that one season, Durell's not someone especially back then, Durell
was not a strategic, get in your face mastermind, Like

(21:23):
he only got in fights a couple of times when
he was wasted. Yeah, and Aviv was not, you know,
thinking as strategically as all these people are now where
they're like if you're not number two or three on
my lists, like I'm gonna make you target if I
win elimination, So which brings us to this night out

(21:49):
because Michelle's struggling. She knows she wins. She's gone with
Josh and Bananas as two of her three targets, but
this third target, now that Jordan is safe, is harder
for her because her and Kyland have been working together

(22:10):
the whole game, so she's not gonna say him. So
it's either Derek or Corey.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
And did we talk about the elimination.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
No, we didn't get there yet.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
You're saying, you're talking about the night out.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
I I never thought that this was really a choice.
Like I thought Michelle was going to pick Derek the
whole time. I think they just needed filler in the episode. Yeah,
I am happy to see Corey make more strategic moves,

(22:47):
but I have no clue why he thought that this
was gonna happen. It was never gonna happen. Yeah, And
we see him in confessional because later on, you know,

(23:08):
even before he officially gets picked. Later he's like, where
did Derek come in?

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Like we have seen how Derek and Olivia are friends
outside of the show. We have seen that Michelle and
Olivia are best friends and they're hanging out in the
house like like they were saying tonight or on the episode,
like they only have each other to support in there,
and you want people who are going to make you happier.

(23:37):
And I know Cory's not an asshole anymore, but if
it's your best friend's number one, you're most likely going
to save them.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
Yeah, I know he tried. I still think it's I
still think it's Corey's season the way I don't know
the way it's shaping up, but.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
Like, yeah, this is.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
He gave it a go.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
You know, he gave it a go. But I think
very obviously it was Hey, start talking to Michelle.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
They and the season. I liked the Kara and Corey
really so that was created.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
That seems fun, yes, because they go back. I mean
they were on Bloodlines together when they both played.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
The Corey was a rookie too that year.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah, and uh they both made the final that season.
They worked together, but Corey.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
That was the just a quick pivot.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
That was the com on cousin, com My cousin, great cousin, just.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Weird shit and the whole house like fucking hated.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I know, I know, oh my god, cousin.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Talk about another guy wins the season weaves the show
we know.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
I mean, honestly, I think because he got with was
it that the season he also got with Ashley and
then she just turned around and completely like shot on
him after somebody lied to her about him getting with
somebody else.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I think that was Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
I think he was kind of just like done with
Some people deal with stuff for a season or two
and then they're like, all right, this is enough for me.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Actually, no, he did. I forgot he did do back
to back.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
He was, uh, that's right. The next season. It was
the next season he did that.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah, yeah, wild trip down memory Lane. But when they're
sitting there, I'm like Corey, like, yes, we just we
just said a bad strategic thing he did. But then
he comes in here with this conversation with Kara. This
was great. This was great. You've got two people who
do not have any of their true alliances that they

(25:44):
rock with in these seasons left in the game, Corey. Really,
We've talked about it throughout this entire season. Corey has
not had a solid number one ally this entire game.
The fact that Michelle Fitzgerald is his idea of a
number one crazy to me. Crazy. And then Cara has

(26:05):
lost all of her allies throughout this game. She's got
Derek as like a friend, but not like a true ally.
And maybe you're right, Bud, Maybe this is the type
of move Corey needs. If Cara wins the next daily
or two, who's to say Corey all of a sudden

(26:27):
is now safe until the final and takes this thing home. Yeah,
and that would not be a crazy thing to see.
We know Cara, Okay, it doesn't matter who the field is.
Carra could easily win two or three in a row. Yep,
She's built for these.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, she's just gotta win up The thing now though,
is like, I don't know the thing that's always gonna
stump Corey.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Are these puzzles?

Speaker 2 (26:54):
I mean yeah, he's just so bad with them.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
So if this eliminated, if this final has puzzles, he's.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Toast toast he is, Uh, he's in a problem spot now.
We uh, we got we got a confessional that they're
renaming Banana's Angels to Rachel's Angels because it seems like
Rachel was putting in a lot of work that Josh

(27:23):
was in the middle, but now he's with the Angels
and that we get that stupid joke from bananas to
your feet hurt because you just fell from heaven.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
So yeah, yeah, the feet things.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
So but yeah, Josh joins the Angels.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yeah, and we still have Johnny. Or we saw Michelle
very emotionally drained. We see Tory consoling her at the
night out, but Michelle does say she's mad that she
she stooped to Johnny's level and now she's got to

(28:08):
go in against her best friend and get it done.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Yeah, and we're all just watching john Johnny is just Johnny.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
This is what happens.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
You cross Johnny, and it's just a bad move. No
matter how big of a target you think he is,
how annoying you think he is, how you think you
can get away with it because you have numbers. If
you do that, it's just it never ends up good
for you. He knows how to play the game like
the back of his hand. Do you think he's just
arguing with you because he's an annoying bad person. No,
he knows how to play the game. He knows exactly

(28:39):
what he's doing. And outside of the house, I think
everybody's still friends. But in the house, in this game,
he knows exactly what he's doing and he is an
absolute master of it. And I love when you get
Jordan in Confessionals and he him and Johnny are supposed
to be mortal enemies, but they are not. And he
looks up to Johnny and just is he knows what

(29:01):
Johnny's doing. And it is so cool listening to Jordan
talk about it because he's like, you know, Johnny is
he's he like him talking about it is very funny.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
But Johnny just knows what he's doing. He's very good.
He's very good at what he does.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
He is he he knows why.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
This is why he's won, you know, won six times.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Like he just knows what he's doing.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
He knows how to get on he knows what tick
what ticks people off, and he knows how to win.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
He knows how to strategically look at challenges and eliminations
and he just like he just knows.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
He just knows what to do.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
It's it's it's very.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
Impressive to watch, and he does it well. He does
it as annoying as he is. He is he is
doing that intentionally.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
And it look it pays off. We see we see
a Wivia here, she's outwardly pressing how she doesn't know
if she can get through this. She doesn't know if
she's going to be able to, you know, compete against

(30:10):
her best friend. It's one thing to think it, it's
another thing to to really say it out loud and confessional.
At least in my opinion, I don't think by any

(30:31):
means Olivia quit because she definitely did not. But boy,
was this uh a sign for me that she was
checking out?

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Well, it's sounded like both of them were. I mean,
we heard what Michelle said in confessional too. It's kind
of like they both were going to give up.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
And it's tough because, like, I don't know if it was.
I don't think it was giving up. I think it
was just like, shit, I really don't want to face
my friend in elimination type and you know, they they
do go in. We have this elimination called Stranded. There

(31:12):
are two giant DNA strands with forty ladders or forty
runs to the ladder and they have to get to
the top to release a bag of letters to solve
a word puzzle at the end. I will say, and

(31:34):
as soon as I saw the word puzzle, I was like,
you know, this is Michelle's. But with forty rungs being
on that ladder in the way Libya was moving in
the beginning, I did think there was a chance for Olivia,
and I do think this was a fair elimination.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Yeah, I think for the first time in a while,
this was this was like actually a decent elimination. Also,
Olivia looked really I mean, very impressive. I thought for
the physical part, I mean when you got to the
word puzzle, knowing how good Michelle was, like if she caught.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Up, you know, you knew it was over. But the
physical part, I mean, she killed it and it.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Was so impressive because like she was climbing up, you know,
with very little rungs, just trying to figure out where
they fit. I do think Michelle had a better strategy
of like let me lay the runs out and see
which one is going to fit in which spot as

(32:40):
I get up the ladder. I just think the only
reason Michelle didn't finish was off the thing. Yeah, yeah,
that's that was the key reason. I think if she

(33:01):
doesn't knock any off, she's done first. Yeah, because Olivia
gets to the word puzzle and she's putting her letters out,
Michelle only has two rungs left, but how many times
was she going up and knocking like three or four off?
So I do think it was the better strategy. I

(33:25):
think it's pretty It is pretty evident though, Michelle's getting
there right behind Olivia, and I think a lot of
people knew even without Michelle having the incredibly impressive moment
where she clicks it, she knows right away what it is.

(33:49):
I think people knew once Michelle started flipping her letters over.
Unfortunately it was done for Olivia. It was only a
matter of time.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I think very quickly into that
we realize Olivia is not going to get this.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Yeah, unless Michelle had and we've seen this happen before
we even saw it, uh with the puzzle the episode
Ryan went home. Unless Michelle had accidentally dropped a letter
under her table and she didn't notice it or you know,

(34:26):
something like that, that was the only way Olivia was
winning this and it does not happen Michelle with her
I believe third elimination win. I believe. Yeah. I think
she's three and oh so a great season for Michelle

(34:48):
all around so far. Three to zero an elimination has
really been one of the main people driving the confessionals
this season, she has made good relationships, mended her relationship
with Kyland off of thirty nine. They've been one of

(35:08):
the stronger pairs in the game, you know, protecting each
other and all that she's got, you know, her new
friendship with Derek that's helped her. A great episode for
Michelle as she solves the word puzzle not eliminated tonight,
the three word word puzzle that Michelle Fitztreald gets right,

(35:31):
sending a Leva home. And we've got six men and
six women left. Now you gotta think maybe next week
they do a guy in the girl elimination and we
start a final the week after maybe.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
And thinking that or two more episodes and.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
In the final, yeah, yeah, I could see that too.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
But I think I think you're starting the final with
five people.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Yeah, I mean, it's been the blueprint these last bunch
of seasons. They love and I would just like them
to switch it up to keep the challengers on their toes.
But they love doing the elimination on the first day
of the final. I don't like it. I would like
to see everybody who makes the final get to compete

(36:20):
the whole way through unless they get medically medically de
queued or they quit or whatever. I would much prefer,
especially on a season like this, let's see them all
battle it out all the way through.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Yeah, I don't know. I am going to disagree slightly.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
I from an entertainment perspective, love eliminations in finals. It
is electric and the stakes are so high when I'm
always sitting at the edge of my seat watching these eliminations.
So I'm finding you the way though, I agree with you.
I mean, if they don't do elimination, totally fine with that.
Run the final.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
If they do, great, we'll get some good TV.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
It's going to be intense to see who uh the.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
Women, I mean this women final, who's gonna be no
matter who's there, is gonna be insane.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
I'm very excited for it.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
We've said at the beginning of this season this was
the strongest group of girls they've cast on a show.
And now with the sixth left, you've got Kara, Tory,
Jenny Avive, Rachel and Michelle.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
I mean, what can't get much better than that?

Speaker 1 (37:26):
What final six?

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Yeah, it much better than that.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
You've got five girls that are champs. You've got Michelle
who's you know, made it far on a bunch of
seasons and a winner of Survivor and is she's the
non champ, but she's been one of the main characters
of this season. So yeah, the girls have been great.
The guys have been doing a great job. You've got Corey,

(37:56):
Josh Bananas, Derek Jordan in Kyland and well, we talked
about him briefly. Not a huge episode for Kyland. He's
obviously safe as soon as it's Oliviaan Michelle in elimination.
He knows he's safe for this next episode because neither

(38:17):
of him, neither of those girls are going to throw
him in. Kylon's had an incredible season two. I think
people can make the argument he is if he doesn't
go on to win, he is the non champ m
VP of this season. Oh yeah, no, no doubt for
the guys. And then if Michelle doesn't win. I find

(38:42):
it really hard to pick a girl that's had a
better season than Michelle.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
She I gotta say Rachel's had the best season so far.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
That's fair. Okay, yeah, that's fair. That is definitely fair.
Rachel has had a really, really solid season coming back.
You know, she hadn't done a season in a while.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
She does like she hasn't even lost a step.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
I mean, she was saying on the interview with me
that like, not only am I keeping up, Like I'm
forty one and I'm setting the pace in de throwing
these girls, yeah, in these challenges. So I would love
to see Rachel in a final. If these girls are smart,
they're gonna get in the guy's heads and try to

(39:29):
convince them to throw Rachel in.

Speaker 6 (39:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
I mean, I'm totally rooting for Rachel to win the season.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I would love to see.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
I mean, from going from being on a team by
yourself too, winning I mean, that's at forty one is
crazy stuff. I mean he could beat any guy, dude,
Like let's not let's not forget this. He could beat
the guys depending on what's going on, like Jordan Kylin,
you know those guys are crazy. But I mean he

(39:58):
can compete right up there with some of the best
guys in the challenge.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Absolutely, And I could see her, to be clear, I
could if they were like we only have one winner
of this season, I could see her getting it done.
But they've made it very clear it's one guy in
one girl, so we will see. We will be back
next week to break down episode fourteen of Battle of

(40:22):
the Eras. This has been really fun. Hey, we had
a good elimination for the first time in about a month.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Maybe, Yeah, a regular elimination challenge for the first time
in how long where we're not looking at it like
what the.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Hell is this? We're not triving to go carts, not
doing to that shit.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Yeah, we're not doing go karts. We're not playing a
game of high low for no reason. Oh my god. Yeah,
a good elimination that was very bounced, very fair and honestly,
like even if you're out there saying, oh, there was
a word puzzle they wanted Michelle to win, and no,
Olivia could have taken a bigger lead too, with the

(41:06):
ladder and everything. So very fun. I'm glad. Hopefully the
rest of the season does not piss us off with
the eliminations and we get some good ones the rest
of the way.

Speaker 6 (41:16):
Again.
