Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's going on everybody, And welcome back to another episode
of the Challenge fren Addicts podcast where we break down
everything Challenge related. Today. We are here to break down
the Challenge All Stars five Rivals Episodes one and two.
My name is Josh Green, and Rivals is off to
(00:22):
a solid start. I gotta say so excited to break
it all down. Figured we'd break both episodes down in
one since we only had one team go home between
these two episodes. Of course, I could not do this alone.
A man who was far from my rival, my co host,
Austin Buglestaut. Austin, how you doing Hey?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Hey, yeah, far from Rivals for sure, we're doing well.
I know it's a big day for you at Super
Bowl Sunday and the Eagles are in the super Bowl.
But happy to kick off the day recapping the last
two All Star episodes.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
What a fun day to recap, you know, kills some
time before the before or the big game. So excited
to get into it. Just overall, I think it's very
interesting here with these thirteen rival pairs. Like you see
some of these pairs where you're like, okay, definitely Rivals
(01:16):
definitely makes sense. And then some of these pairs like
Nicole and Melissa, You're like, what the hell's going on?
Why are they rivals?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I think I think there's a there's an aspect of
like did they actually fight.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
On the tea on the show?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
And then and then there's an.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Aspect of will this screw with you with with each other?
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Like Melissa and Nicole I think hooked up, but.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Now Nicole has a girlfriend and they're just looking for
the entertainment aspect.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Of that, yeah, yeah, and then like you know, I
think there's another aspect of like we want these people
on the show, but are they actually rivals? And I
think the perfect example is like Anissa and Ashley. I
don't think those two are.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Rivals now outside of the show. I'm sure they're friends.
I mean, Anissa has Anissa and Ashley have always kind
of like talked shit on each other, but like, I mean,
they've talked on everybody under the moon, under the sun.
So yeah, I think some.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Of them as like I feel like with all Rival seasons,
some of them are always stretches, especially as you get
into like the later rival seasons, because there's like less
and less fighting as time goes on. Yeah, so there's
always like some stretches, But I think the pairs were
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Since we're speaking about pairs, Frank and Sam.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Such a TVT.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I mean, that was probably the best season of the Challenge,
just to have everything involved a battle of the seasons.
My only issue is Frank looks incredibly fit, and it
kind of stinks that we're not going to be able
to see him full capacity this year because.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Sam is like and and you know, she's obviously giving.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
It her all, she's not super fit, and like, I
feel like it's just I wish Frank was with somebody
a little more in shape so we can watch because
Frank looks like incredible and like, I know, this season
we're not going to really be able to see him
full potential because he's going to have to really work
with Sam and help her get through the challenges.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
It'll be interesting now because Frank's win was doing.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
That, so I know, no, I know, but like but like,
like the win was absolutely verbally abusing and harassing Sam
the entire season, so he's not.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Doing you know, he's not going to do that.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
But yeah, you had three strong guys that were basically
just pushing this girl uphills and finishing final, you know,
but yes, you are right, they did win that season.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's been a big part of Frank's you know, Frank's
been getting a lot of the confessionals in these first
two episodes, which is not a surprise. I mean, people
who are fans the Challenge. You know, remember those seasons
that Frank was on and he really you know, rivals
to Battle of the Seasons, even free Agents before he
(04:11):
went home. He won like three eliminations in a row
and then lost. But it's been a lot of Frank's
story is that, like it's been twelve years since he's
been on the show, and he does not want to
be that guy who is just you know, verbally abusing
his partner. And he you know, we go back and
challenge history. It really is like Frank is the example
(04:36):
of like treating a partner like shit. Like the stuff
he was saying during that final was absolutely insane, all
of them.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I mean, you had Zach two was all right, Yeah,
that was Zach. That was when Zach was horrible.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I mean that I have to say as peak Challenge
as that was that era, like right around that time,
there were back to back to back to back.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
He's that were just peak TV, but.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
You also had like the human aspect of it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
These these some of these guys were horrible.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah. And someone we see, uh, you know, reuniting if
you will, with Frank, someone who won with Frank on
Battle of the Seasons. Actually, kay, someone I did not
think we were going to see again on the challenge.
She's back. She's partnered with Dario, another pair where I'm like,
(05:27):
they are not rivals, they're just exes. That is a
completely different theme.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Well all that like he literally just ghosted her and
then they never talked again.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Like that's okay, So maybe that's pretty wild.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, yeah, so maybe. But they do pretty solid in
this first Daily Challenge in episode one, and uh they're
one of our star holders along with Nanni and Turbo,
which is definitely a rival pair, you know, I don't
think anyone's disputing that. And then we've got Steven Adam you.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Know, uh killed it in this first challenge.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Steve stole Adam Starr, you know, which did not allow
Adam to go to the final and all starts for
and we have Devin and Leroy, which I think a
lot of people are you know, thinking that this might
be the strongest pair in the game between Devin and Leroy.
(06:26):
I mean that is that's a pretty tough team right there.
So yeah, you know, I think we were able to,
you know, pretty succinctly cover all the pairs, almost all
the pairs at this point. We also have Katie and Veronica,
classic old school rival pair. They always showed their fight
(06:47):
of like Katie going in on her and like throwing
the pillow at her face. You know, I'm happy to
see those two. The person I feel the most bad
for John A. I mean, we see it in these
first two episodes.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Oh yeah, that's so tough.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
But to be with Beth, I mean, look, you have
John Day out here on a rival season, Like the
only person for her to be a rival with is Beth.
But like she wants to win. You're not winning a
season with Beth. It's just not happening.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, she Yeah, it's just unfortunate, and we kind of
we'll we'll talk about what happens. But she it was
good that she put it behind her. I mean, you know,
Beth is like I don't think I still that Beth.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Even now, like doesn't understand the magnitude of what she did.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
And like, man, that's like rivals.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
You know, it's one thing if you fight on a show,
but when you take personal.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Jabs with somebody and then you put them together, like,
it's it's hard.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
That's hard.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, And you know there's been a lot of talk
about it, and look, whether it was true or whether
it was not true. Like there's just certain things that
you don't like. Beth has been on reality TV for decades.
She knew there was a camera there, Like, there's certain
(08:08):
things you just don't say on camera. Yeah, and I
was one of them. So I think, you know, look,
there wasn't a lot to talk about with episode one.
We we got the daily, we went over the star holders.
Now we have you know, we've set up our foundation
for the pairs. Everybody got episode one, No one goes home,
(08:32):
no one is in jeopardy of losing the star. So
we go into episode two with a couple of you know,
bigger headlines that we get set for the foundation in
the beginning, that people think Adam and Steve are the
biggest threats in the game. You know, everyone wants them out,
(08:54):
they want their star, they want to get rid of them.
And Melissa's worried about her partner having a big mouth.
You know, I think everyone knows that Nicole is one
of the biggest talkers in the Challenge House, in any
Challenge house, and we see it throughout episode two. She is,
(09:16):
even if it's not this whole thing around the vote.
I was shocked at all the times she was just
telling people like, stop thinking you're you know, stop telling
people you're weak by crying at the challenge.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
I know, Oh my gosh, yeah, the second one, I think, yeah,
we're getting I don't know, I we're getting too far
ahead or not. But yeah, she uh, I don't really
know what her what I don't know, it's Nicole.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
I mean, she's just kind of speaks on her mind.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
It was crazy, so, you know, very early in this episode,
and I think it's because uh this All Stars were
only we're getting an hour episode so far. I don't
know if that's going to change. I don't know if
that's going to stay the same. But we get the
daily very early here, and we're getting a Heights challenge,
(10:09):
and it seems as if the Star format is going
to be the same format as All Stars for TJ
explains it to everyone. Now, the winning pair gets to
select one pair to go in against the house vote.
So it will be interesting. Everyone's going to be dressing
(10:32):
up for elimination every week because the winning pair can
also nominate themselves if they don't have a star. Did
you also find it so ridiculous how like intense everybody
was about their stars, Like it's inevitable that the stars
are going to get stolen.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, I know, and they're like, I need to do
all that I can and I get my star tak
I'm like, dog, you got a whole season. Man, you're
gonna have to go in again.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, like if And I think it's a benefit to
the people who were on All Stars for right, Like
you have Steve Adam Nicole, these people, and there's more,
you know, like Veronica was on All Stars four, they
know that, like the star Lee Roy was on All
Stars for the Stars got switched around so much, so
(11:26):
much so it is not it's not plausible to go
an entire season without being an elimination. They would have
to win eight or nine dailies for their star to
not you know, and that's not gonna happen either, So
you know, I just found it very I think Devin
(11:49):
was like the only person in his confessionals like recognizing like, Okay,
our star is going to be gone. We're gonna have
to go in at some point. But that's the format,
you know, So yep, it is what it is. And
I think we roy also recognized that, you know, Like
I said.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yes, it's always good to try to protect it, but
I think you just have to also as a competitor,
just expects to have to go back in to get
one exactly.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
And it's a long season. So I think that's the
benefit of seeing the elimination if you win the daily,
you know, because then you can decide if you and
your partner want to go in. So we get this
daily called Edge of Glory shout out Lady Gaga there
with the song title. They have to solve these math
(12:39):
equations and then once they get it right, they then
have to grab four flags and they live or die
by their rivals. So if the rival falls off, their
partner falls off with them, you know. I think there
were like a couple of highlights here in this daily,
(13:01):
starting with Anissa. I don't know if you caught this.
I don't know what her deal was with TJ, Like
I don't know if she thought it was funny to
like keep going back and forth, but TJ was genuinely
annoyed that she wouldn't even let Ashley.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Yeah, she was also scared.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I think it was just like a fear mechanism or
something like she was just trying to tell him to stop,
but I mean he was trying to just get her
to go.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
So it was it was a pretty that was a
pretty funny back and forth. A lot of people were
scared about that.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
One dude, Steven Adam bro I like, they're they're fun
to watch.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Yeah, we got a ton of quit A ton of
people are like.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yeah, you know, I kind of wish in that aspect.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
DJ brought up like if you if you don't you know,
if you don't even try, like this is why you
I feel like, you know, I understand the House vote,
but also like you know, you should you should penalize
the last place person somehow because it just gives people
no incentive to do a challenge if they don't want
to do it. And like Steven Adam, these guys busted
(14:10):
their butts and up they both jumped off the thing
to get the star, and they get penalized. You know
they did, they did the second best in the challenge,
but they got penalized because the house voted for them.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
What was we talking about later?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
So it kind of I don't know, not a huge
fan of the format and the way that it kind
of doesn't reward people.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Who do decent in the challenge, like if you.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Do poorly and quit, like everybody quit and then it
rained and nobody wanted to go back, so it didn't matter.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
It's just like, I don't know. I was just like,
this is this is kind of dumb.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
So I think there's you know, what I think should
have happened is they should have said, like the one
thing they needed to do to fix the format from
All Stars four and to fix the format here is
say if your last place, you're automatically going in. Like
(15:00):
we saw on the Challenge forty, it worked pretty well.
It required people to play hard in the daily challenges.
You and I on these episodes on the Flagship have
been complaining that they don't there's no there's there's really
(15:21):
no benefit. Once you know that your ally won the daily,
it doesn't matter how you do because there's no last
place penalty. So I definitely agree with you. I think
the one thing they should have added was, hey, whoever
does the absolute worst is automatically going in now for
(15:42):
this daily challenge. Would it have changed anything? No, because
John Ay and Beth were the worst, but it would
have required people to you know, kick it into gear
and do something. Yeah. Yeah, I mean again with John
Ay and be like the daily here. I feel so
bad for John Ay and the spot. Beth isn't even
(16:04):
she's terrified to clip into the safety harness.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I know it kind of at points like I understand
when you're there and it's scary, but at points to me,
it kind of looked like a bit of a charade.
It was like screaming NonStop. I mean, lady, you're like
fucking fifty, like you know, figure it out.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, and you're not even reaching Like.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
I don't know, but she wasn't gonna be able to
hold Johnny anyways.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
It's crazy like john A was between the challenges and
then of course like actually being paired with Beth. She
was doing everything she could to just like try and
meet her halfway, and then for Beth to not even
clip in for a now, come on, but yeah, even
if she couldn't hold her, just try. I know, you know,
(16:56):
you mentioned that we had a ton of quids in
a row, but Fessel and Amber and Steve and Adam
are really the only ones to get it done. And
Steven Adam see that they're that last flag. They're not
going to be able to hold on without falling off.
So they're the only pair to get all four and
(17:16):
fall off. You know, I'm sure they wanted more teams
to fall off or that you know that shot, that
video shot of you know, people falling off the building.
But Fessel and Amber grab all four. Uh, Fessl's able
to hold on to Amber so they don't fall off. Uh.
They did this challenge flawlessly, and look, I think that
(17:39):
was part of it for these three other teams. You
know we mentioned you mentioned earlier, unprecedented right, Uh, the
rain is coming down too hard. The powers that be
say that the challenge has to stop and they can
either come back tomorrow or let Tessel and Amber where.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Not in Turbo might have done Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
That's true, that's true.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
But the others would not have. The others would not
have won.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Like for Melissa and Nicole and for Devin and Leroy,
like I do not think either of them were, well.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
You needed you needed the you needed the heavy guy,
light girl combo to win this. And I think Nanni
and Turbo was the only the only people that might
have done it if Nannie was willing to like.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Go quick, and I think she would have. Like you know,
a lot of people think it's been some time, but
like Nanni and Turbo kicked the ass together on World
of the World's won, and she really I remember a
lot of people thought that that was going to be
her season to finally get her win. Obviously, it changes
(18:43):
format and you know she's not able to get the win,
but they did compete very well together. So they're another
team that people are looking at, like because that it's
not just Turbo, Like Turbo makes not better and Nanny
really helps with the communication, Like they if they can
(19:05):
just get over there, there are things that they've had
going on recently. They are a very solid team.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah, it's more Turbo.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
I mean Turbo, you know, he's foreign and he kind
of like they just have different mindsets. So as long
as Turbo can get through, you know, it seems like
he will and he can, but they still argue, so
we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
And you've got to worry about both of their tempers
and fights. I mean, two of the top people in
this house to get into argument. Yeah, so you know,
like we said, everybody does not want to go. Fessel
and Amber ultimately win a very interesting way that I
(19:51):
was surprised in a good way here for Fessal, He says, Look,
I don't want to I don't want to overstep here.
A lot of Amber and Ice problems have been from
voting situations. I'm gonna let Amber take the lead on
this vote, which you know, I thought this was great
(20:14):
from him, you know, and Amber. Amber did a pretty
decent job here. The one thing that obviously ends up
being a problem, everybody thinks that it was Nicole, but
it was Amber talking to Veronica about how they were
going to throw in Adam and Steve. And of course
(20:37):
Veronica is going to tell them they've been friends for
two decades. Why in the world would she not tell them,
you know, and they're really strong teams, so of course
she's gonna have their back. I loved how Nicole got
the blame for this though, Like seeing Nicole riled up
(20:57):
is always fun to me, you know, or sorry for
what for h Adam and Steve finding out that they
were going to be the house vote, when in reality
it was Veronica who told them, but everyone in the
house thought of it.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
But I thought the way that they're editing it looked
like Adam just figured it out on his own.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Amber and Veronica were talking and not like back stairwell.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
And Veronica was like, I don't know why Amber's telling
me all of this, but I greatly appreciate it. And
then she goes off and tells Adam and Steve. Yeah,
coul gets blamed for it, but I get it because
Nicole has a huge mouth, so like people are going
to blame her for it. Yeah, And I genuine I
really do think that this is you know, obviously they
(21:47):
get away here in this first elimination, but from the
confessionals we saw for Melissa this episode, I think Melissa
and Nicole are in trouble. Whether even if it's not
next episode, it'll be the one after that, Like they
unless Adam and Steve are like constantly winning and protecting
(22:08):
them since Nicole is their friend, like they're going to
be in deep shit. Yeah, it seems like a lot
of teams do not want to deal with the cole.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, I know she's gonna Well, Melissa said it, it's
probably they're probably throwing that in there editing wise, because
it's foreshadowing like Nichole is going to say something and
it's gonna get him in trouble that they can't get
out of.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yep. So this was so funny at the house boat.
You know, we have TJ at the house Boat. Some
seasons we have them there, other times we don't. This
was so funny, Like, so it becomes pretty clear pretty
quickly that it's going to be Adam and Steve going
in against who we don't know, because Amber and Festal
(22:57):
get to decide, you know, they're the vote to send
a team in. But it was so funny to me. Right,
we have like five votes for Adam and Steve and
then there's that John Ay and Beth vote. Oh my god, dude,
and Beth loses it. Yeah, what did you think of that?
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
My?
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I was just like are you I was like, have
you not played this game for how many years?
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Like, obviously it's a burn vote and you're not going
to go in.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
She's like, I wanted to get my revenge and I
think these people should go and I'm like, oh my god,
like relax.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
First of all, you want to talk about revenge, like
Nicole and Melissa, We're not going to go in even
if you voted for them, so it's not revenge. You
would have just returned to burn vote. And second of all,
it shows how good of a player John Ay is
where she's just like, she rolls her eyes and then
(23:53):
she's like, Beth, calm the hell down. She's not even
mad at Nicole and Melissa. I think she's more mad
at Beth.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Yeah, it was just weird.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
It's one vote and then after that another three or
four teams, including Beth and John A vote for Adam
and Steve. Yeah, I know, there is no way.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
And Ben's like I wanted to vote for yeah, Nicole
and Melissa, And I was like, yo.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
What dude.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Now, look, you and I both watched the show for
a long time. Have we seen burn votes end up
amounting to a team going in. Yes, but that was
not going to be the case here. It was like
ten to one for Adam and Steve going in.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
I know.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I also I also I'm pretty shocked, well not shocked,
but I wish we had a TJ moment when he
was like, man, these guys got second place and a
bunch of you quit and you guys voted him in.
Because that I still hated that they went in, because yeah,
all these people that quit and they voted in the
people that gave it, they're all.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
You know, I wouldn't have had a problem with it
if the format was last place automatically goes in. Yes, yes,
because everybody else like they have to play strategically and politically,
and Adam and Steve are gigantic threats, so you know,
it is kind of frustrating, but we could have had
a classic you're right, a classic tjm over there at
(25:18):
the house voat that would have been. That would have
been fun. So for this season of the Challenge, we
are told that the eliminations are going to be held
at the Jungle, and every team is dressed up for
elimination because the winners can throw themselves in to get
(25:39):
their star and if they don't, they can pick any
other team to go in. They can pick a star holder,
they can pick any team of their liking. And everybody's
very surprised here, but I think Fessel and Amber did
a pretty sold a job of explaining that, you know,
(26:02):
their choice. They ended up picking John Ay and Beth
and they say that they want to throw someone in
who they're not allied with, who's not going to come back.
And I think they made a decent choice.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Yeah, I mean think it was it was a decent choice.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
It was surprising, yeah, surprising sure, But I mean you've
heard Fesl say like, look, I've done some seasons with
Big T were you know, we're friendly. I would really
like to not throw in her and Corey. Yeah, you know.
And that's all my input, which I thought was great
(26:42):
from Fessel. He says, this is the only team that
I actually would like to save. You can make the
decision and do whatever you want with the vote.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Yep, that is that is.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Yeah, they are such a strong team across us the board.
They're gonna be fun to watch this year.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Oh they're tough, they're absolutely. I mean I think it's
you look at Fessel and Amber and Nanni and Turbo,
Devin and Leroy, Steven Adam. I mean those are Frank
and Sam even because we've we've seen you.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Say Ashley and Daria aren't bad.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Yeah, they're tough too. I mean, we've got there are
some solid solid teams this ye. You know, we haven't
even mentioned them. But politically, Davon and Shane I think
are gonna ye. Yeah, and Davon's really good in eliminations
in her challenge career, so you know, but I they
(27:46):
have a lot of friends, so I think they're gonna
be safe for a while. So but they throw in
John Ay and Beth and uh as Tej is explaining
this elimination, I'm thinking to myself, Adam and Severer going
home because this type of elimination was perfect for John
(28:12):
Ay and Beth to go in against Adam and Steve.
Like if there was going to be an elimination for
those two.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Yeah, I need to be one of these random luck ones.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Kind of randomer luck but like we've seen these before
where it's better to be a smaller person.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Yeah, And the way they were editing it, I thought
they were ahead for a while, but it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
It wasn't really that all that close.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
But it was very close all the way through. You know,
they have these colored dice that they have to roll.
Whichever one they're rolling to is where they then put in, uh,
you know, one pole and then two all the way
up to five. It really is close the whole way.
So I'll give best some credit here. Yeah yeah, obviously
(28:59):
john A shows up. You're right, was the kind of
random elimination.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Uh but yeah, I mean you got to make it
fair when you have guy guy against girl girl.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
But yeah, yeah they do. And look, we've seen this
happen before in Challenge history where it's two guys against
two girls.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Yeah, and also we got freaking Amber who cannot help herself,
being a snake.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
She continues to do it season in and season out.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Yeah, she told Johnny that she would tell Johnny go in.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
She didn't.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Oh yeah, she can't help herself.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
I tried to give Amber the benefit of the doubt,
but then when they rolled the the footage back, Oh yeah,
I was like Amber girl tough. I was like, if
she goes on to like I doubt she'll do forty
one again being a mom, but like if she comes
back on forty two, like Amber, these people are gonna
(29:56):
remember that. Like you told Johnny she was safe.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
A couple hours later, like she's going into elimination and
going home. So and another thing, fessal n Amber did here.
They don't throw in a star holder team, so they're
trying to build trust with the star holders, which we've seen.
We saw that in All Stars for I think that
(30:23):
was another good move here. So Steve and Adam win
they protect their star and an interesting thing we get here.
You know, we obviously have had plenty of episodes in
Challenge Pass where no one goes home. We've had plenty
of episodes where people win an elimination and we got
(30:43):
a cliffhanger of like who's star they're going to steal
or you know something about the voting mechanism. Right, Well,
we go back to the house after an elimination with
five minutes left in the episode, maybe even us, and
we see a team that we have not talked about yet.
(31:04):
We see Sylvia and Kelly Anne on the couch, you know,
during the daily I think Kellyanne made it astute point.
You know, Sylvia is not trying, and she's like, if
you're not trying for me, now, how the hell can
I know you're gonna try later?
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Yeah? You know, people that get mad at other people
because the person who didn't try gets mad at the
person who just wanted them to try.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
It always sends me it's so stupid.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
But we know Sylvia is every Sea every season she's on.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
She's just very hard to watch. She just picks fights
with everybody. So it's it's that's that's my opinion. I've
never really enjoyed watching her.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
I don't. I don't not my favorite challenger.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
I get that, But for me, the way I looked
at it, when Kellyanne says, how do I I just
I think heights are the universe thing that people hate
doing on these challenges.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
We see no everybody quit.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yeah, I get it, but like you know, and then yeah, yeah,
but then Kelly I went crazy, So yeah, you're right.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
It was kind of both.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
It is both. I mean, we know both of them
are and Kelly.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Does mention you know Sylvia purposely, you know, they're going
back and forth and h Kellyan's like, I don't know
anything about you, and Sylvia is like I have a
family and you have dogs.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Yeah, that's that's what I'm talking about. Like he gets
very personal. There's no reason for that.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Yeah, the way she said it, it was very clear
that like that was supposed to be like a below
the belt dig and uh, they're they're getting into it,
you know, Amber and Corey Lay come in to kind
of screaming to break it up. Like people are noticing
around the house how loud this is. And Kelly Inn
(32:56):
when Amber, you know, takes her to bed is just
like I've got ship to do at home, Like I'm
just gonna throw ourselves in, and like I know, honestly
from a viewer perspective, I'm here for it as was
wild wild Ah. Now well they actually throw themselves in.
(33:18):
I don't know, but I do think now they're going
to be a very easy house vote where people are
just gonna be like, you know, they're not me, you know,
let's vote these people in here. Yeah myself. So very
interesting way to end episode two. What a fun way too,
(33:44):
I gotta say, a fun first two episodes for All Stars.
I was a little worried when the cast came out,
but so far, so good.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
Yeah, it's it's solid. Yeah, it keeps us entertained.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
It keeps us entertained. We have a lot of people
who we haven't seen in a minute. We've got Chain back,
we have Frank back, got Ashley Kay and Dario back.
There are a lot of people in this cast that
can provide a lot of fun, a lot of drama,
and I'm excited for it. We will be back to
