Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's going on? Everybody? And welcome back to another episode
of the Challenge Fanatics podcast, where we break down everything
Challenge adjacent. My name is Josh Green. You can find
us some all social media platforms at Challenge fan Pod.
We are here today to break down the Challenge All
Stars five Rivals Episode three, Rivals in the Rough. What
(00:24):
a interesting episode, a lot more dynamics with some of
the pairs that we did not get to see more
of in episode one and two, people getting sick, getting
down and dirty in this daily of course, I cannot
break this down by myself. My co host Austin Fiegel said, Austin,
(00:47):
how you doing.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Doing well? Ready to break down this episode. I know
I said before the season the cast wasn't great, But
this season I think is giving some d entertainment, so
it hasn't been too bad.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I looked at the cast when it was the unofficial
rumored list, and then of course when it got announced
on MTV, and it was either you know, with with
some casts, you have people in the middle who you're like,
maybe they'll provide, maybe they won't. But this group of
(01:26):
people was either they're going to be really good TV
or they're going to be wallpaper, and people who've been
really good TV have been providing for us, you know,
these first few episodes, like you know, Frank, Kelly Ann Ashley.
(01:47):
You know, we haven't even gotten that much Shane and Devon,
and we know that they're good TV. So you know,
I agree with you. I think I'm definitely a little
bit more hopeful than I was coming in here, and
you know, it's good to see. So we start the
episode off coming back from the end of episode two
(02:11):
where Sylvia and Kelly Anne were just ripping into each
other in this argument that they were having, which is
a common theme we have in this episode. We're starting
to see some of these rival pairs. You know, they
may have put on a front about how they could
get along, but some of these pairs just you know,
(02:34):
either don't like each other at best or hate each
other's guts at the worst. You know, I do think
the Sylvia comment of like, I don't know you, you
just have dogs was a little bit low in that argument,
and you know, it definitely was a tense argument that
(02:57):
those two had going on at the top of the episode.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, that was that was pretty low, but quickly
made up throughout the episode. But yeah, that's that was
quite an argument.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
And that's the thing, right, Like, you know, my dad,
who's not even a Challenge fan, shout out Mitch Green.
I'm watching the episode and he he's like, Howard, there
girl girl pairs and guy guy pairs and then there's
you know, girl guy pairs, and I was, I was
thinking about it, and like this, Uh, the rivals theme
(03:35):
has never been that way in Challenge history, Like Rivals one, two,
and three, Rivals one and two were either guy guy
pairs or girl girl for one and two. Rivals three
was all guy girl pairs, and now we're at rivals
for it and it's just the hodgepodge of of uneven
(03:57):
numbers as far as gender splits for theirs. But my
point with that is that Sylvia and Kelly An, if
they can just get on the right track. When I'm
watching the beginning of this episode, they are a strong team. Yeah,
they just they do not like each other despite you
know the fact that their girl girl team they're very strong.
(04:22):
So yeah, you know, we hear from Shane saying he
doesn't trust that they're going to get along, even though
he's you know, close friends with Sylvia, we hear Frank
saying in the beginning, which I just I'm so happy
Frank is back.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
But we need more seasons with Frank.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I want him to come back so badly. But we
hear him saying, you know, I want them to think
Daddy will never throw me into elimination, and then I'm thinking, bitch,
I can't wait to throw you into elimination. The only
person I care about in this game beside from myself
is my partner. Everyone else I'm using to manipulate relationships,
(05:07):
and you know what, I'm always here for another villain,
you know, whether it's Amanda, Frank, Ashley. You know, I
actually enjoyed what Ashley did later in the episode, but
you know, I couldn't agree with you more. I was
so happy to see Frank's name on this cast list,
and he has been all over these first few episodes.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, yeah, he's fun, he's great TV. He's great for
the challenge. Hopefully he gets to come on for a
couple more.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Seasons, and he's still that competitor from back in you know,
Battle the seasons and rivals too. I think people may,
you know, kind of forget how good Frank was like
and he still is, you know, like unfortunately we you
(06:00):
see him and Sam are not competing as well against
some of these other pairs, but still like Frank is
still like doing his thing, even you know, despite you know,
they're not doing so good. You know, he's able to
show politically how well he's been doing. Yeah, we see
(06:24):
speaking up Sam, We see her and a Nissa bonding
a little bit, you know before the Daily at least
I felt so bad writing this down, but you know, Sam,
Sam goes on a season right with like two really
(06:45):
strong guys, you know, twelve years ago and with you know,
another good competitor and Ashley Kay. That's her win and
she rides off in the sunset and waits twelve years
to come back. You look up. In a conversation with Anissa,
Anissa has made the Challenge her career, including doing the podcast.
(07:08):
She has one final because she was tied to arguably
the best challenger in the history of the show, and
nothing else with the twenty somethings she's done. Again, my
point with that, people give Sam a lot of shit,
but at least she has a win, you.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Know, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know, Anissa, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
It's you know.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I thought it was funny because she's talking like, oh,
she trains outside of the challenge, but it doesn't on
the challenge.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
And I was like do you? I was like, do you?
I don't know about that.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Listen, Regardless, you can't just train and then let yourself go.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
You have to just keep going a little bit, even
if you're hitting on the train for a little bit,
move in some weights, Like I understand you have dailies
every other day, but like you need to, you know,
you need to keep your endurance up, especially if you
want to get into the final and perform.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Well, here's my other thing too, Like it has been
a constant with Anissa, especially these last couple of years,
Like how many times have we come on this podcast
and whoever's partnered with Anissa or whoever's on her team
is saying something about how she just gives up and she,
(08:31):
excuse me, is not doing it. Like the strength has
never been an issue, Like Anissa can outbody because of
her strength a lot of the girls on the challenge.
That's not been the problem. The problem, like you just said,
is the endurance. It's what every final is. And she
(08:53):
still refuses to do it. You know. Obviously we get
the build up to, you know, the very end of
the episode, but this is not anything different than any
other season she's been on. We see everybody in the
house doing some sort of you know, let me go
in the treadmill for a couple of miles, let me,
(09:14):
you know, run around the house with a few of
my friends. It's wild to me. You make it your career, Like,
why not try to go get a win? Because Devin
said and confessional during the Daily that Leroy is always
the bridesmaid, which is true, but Anissa is absolutely the
(09:38):
bridesmaid and never the bride. All of her friends have
gotten their wins, some have multiple wins. She is zero,
you know. Yeah, so she's in that same boat as Leroy.
At least Leroy is. We can tell how much she's
been training. Know, before the Daily, Adam and Steve are
(10:03):
prepping to go in again. Adam is deathly sick. Uh.
He is in and out of the bathroom. We're we're
seeing Adam sweat up a storm. Uh you know, something
in the air over there in Vietnam.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Yeah, he's holding it like a chance, He's holding it
like a champ though, I mean crazy that he was
able to do the challenge in the you know a
little that seemed just like a lot.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah, and I'll give those guys a ton of credit
because like you've got people and it wasn't just Denis
in the Daily. There were other people who were like
very hesitant or like not even trying, and they they
go balls to the walls even though they're not gonna
end up winning. Here in this daily called the ball Buster, Uh,
(10:55):
there's this giant pit for the colored balls. For each team,
they have to place them in this course type thing.
At the end, once they got all ten balls, they
have to solve the puzzle. First team to finish gets
to you know, be safe and their star is safe
(11:15):
if they're a Star holder, and then you know, the
house will vone in their opponent again this week. It
just pisses me off, where like first place gets it
done and then everyone's like, okay, we don't need to
finish the challenge.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Like I was just about to say that, like TJ
blows the horn after first place is done. I was
gonna bring that up because.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
It's just like it's just so boring.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
It's like, all right, you know, this is why you
need to bring you need to give some kind of
punishment for the people that get last place. I'm I'm
kind of like, I understand they've done this before. I'm
shocked they're still doing it. Like, I don't know, it's
it's it's I get both sides, I guess, but like
I want to see all these people compete, you know,
(12:04):
but on the flip side, right, more than likely Sam
and Frank are getting last place like every freaking competition.
So you know, I don't know, I see both sides.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Maybe, but in this one in particular, I think Ashley
and Nissa would have got last. Yeah, because of how
much Anissa was struggling to do the cargo net and
this this just was insane. Like, look, it's one thing,
(12:37):
if you know, let's say Anissa to start the final
on Rider dies with Jordan. But let's say, you know,
she's jumping out of a helicopter, right and she dislocates
her shoulder doing that, which wouldn't be that far fetched. Okay,
(12:58):
we're talking about a daily on Spies, Lies and Allies,
which was what three or four years ago at this point.
Come on, Yeah, Also.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
The cargo net, like, let's that that that wall that
she fell off of was like ten feet tall. This
cargo net I was probably taller than its standing.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
That's true. I remember when they showed the flashback of
her separating her shoulder. It was a very tall net. Dude,
that was high. Yeah, that was that was high. This
was not And again what I said, a couple and
the other thing too. Sure, the other thing too.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
If you fell that the net was angled, so you
were essentially just gonna roll down the net if you fell,
So like there was really low danger to any of this.
And then the fact that it happened three or four
years ago.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, and then like I feel bad because like she's
a local girl. What my gosh, you're coming on the
show season after season. Do you really not think there's
gonna be heights? Do you really not think there's gonna
be that you're gonna be uncomfortable doing that's the name
of the game. Like, yeah, it blew my mind.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
So I guess I said I said earlier the show
has been entertaining.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I think it's been entertaining from a social standpoint. But
if we look at it so far from a take,
I would say from a daily challenge, if we just
judge the show based off daily challenges. So far this
cast is getting like an F. It's been pretty rough.
The last challenge was extremely frustrating to watch when like
nobody but two teams did it, and then this challenge
(14:44):
is like, I think you just you just have some
people that simply just aren't ready for the challenge. And
it's fine.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
They give us.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
The the eliminations and the social aspects are very entertaining.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
I think it makes up for this, but the daily.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Performance from these teams so far have at least have
been pretty frustrating.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yeah. No, I think that's a very good assessment, And
the only thing I would add to that is that
the players are not the complete reason that the dailies
have been an f all the show needed to do.
And I think this would have been a great time
to switch the format. They could have been like that
(15:24):
last daily was like something we have never seen, all
of you quitting Like TJ could have went in on them, right, Yeah,
and he could have said, all of you quitting was
an absolute disgrace to my show. Guess what, we had
the season set up so that it was only first place,
getting to send in a team. Now last place automatically
(15:50):
goes in. First place is safe, and we're taking away
some of the power for first place, so now the
rest of you have to make sure you actually complete
the daily and not just like be whatever about it.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yeah, they had a really good opportunity to totally change
the format, and I'm pretty shocked that they didn't. I
just hope they don't have a Heights Challenge again, because
nobody's gonna freaking do it.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
The only ones who will are Amber and Fessel and
Steven Adam because they're they're the teams, and everyone else
is going to know that they're the teams that will
will win. Now, maybe Nannie and Turbo. I really do
think they would have been close to winning had they
(16:37):
elected to do the daily last week. But yeah, and
look like I get that this cast some of them
are relying on their political game, but I I really
wish that the show just decided, like, guess what, the
winners are only going to be safe from elimination, the
(17:00):
last place is automatically going in. First place doesn't have
a vote in the House vote, and then everyone else
votes in the team going in against last Yeah. I
really thought, like I thought one of the good things
with season forty was bringing back last place automatic into elimination,
(17:21):
and I thought they could have continued that here. It
was just it's frustrating they didn't. But there are a
few things to talk about. With the daily we see
Shane and Davon are both talking about how you know,
they're salad competitors. Davon's not. You know, we've seen her
(17:42):
do really well in eliminations and Shane is a salad
competitor as well, but they both just speak different languages.
It seems like so far they're getting along pretty well.
You know, coming into the episode, Shane's got multiple connections,
dave Bon's got Amber and Fessel of course from Big Brothers.
(18:03):
So you know, socially, I think they're in a really
great spot and are not going to be seeing elimination
for a while for a long while. Like we already said,
you know, we talked about Anissa and Adam with their
(18:27):
respective things going on. Ashley as a confessional, which I
think she was right about. She says that Anissa's uh,
you know, known for not winning and this is her
best chance to win a challenge, and uh, you know,
(18:49):
on paper, the pair of Ashley and Anissa could be
a solid team, you know. Yeah, but man, even before
Ashley has the blow up, Like I was shocked with
how much patience she was having.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
I know, with Anissa, I know, and it's tough because
I don't think they hate each other. But like I
think eventually, yeah, Ashley's a competitor and she's gonna get
pretty pretty upset. Same with I think we see coming
down the road Frank's it's the same thing's gonna happen
to Frank.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Yeah, you know, I think Frank has definitely I think
anybody over the course of twelve years, like you obviously mature.
So I don't think we're gonna see Frank yelling at
Sam the way he did on Battle of the Seasons.
But he's still gonna yell at her, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yeah, Yeah, I mean it's frustrating, like that's he's in
great shape and she can very you know, she can
barely move, So it's tough.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
It's uh, it's gonna be interesting to see, you know.
I don't think it's fair for people to compare Frank
to the guy he was Battle of the Seasons, Yeah,
because I don't think he's gonna yell at Sam the Lakeer.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Those one of the most ruthless seasons, and I think
they know it. There's the most ruthless seasons ever.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
So yeah, I mean like he was physically like pushing
her and like hitting her on the arm and stuff
like some pretty insane shit. You know. I don't think
it's ever going to get to a point this season
where Frank is doing that, But I mean, how many
times have we seen pairs yell at each other on
(20:30):
a season, So I can definitely see Frank getting frustrated
and yelling at her. We do see, of course, in
these first few episodes, Frank is saying, like, I have
to be realistic. I need to see that we're not
going to be that team that's going to be winning
every daily, you know. So he's playing it politically, and
(20:55):
I think so far it's been it's been going pretty well. Yeah,
you know, it looks like we've got like three or
four or five teams maybe that are gonna be winning
the dailies this season, yep, and Devin and Leroy are
one of them, along with Fessel and Amber. Devin and
Leroy gets to the puzzle first and Fessel and Amber
(21:17):
are right behind, but ultimately like there's no Ah, there's
no drama with the puzzle or anything. Devin and Leroy
win the Daily. Uh, their star is safe. So again
the star holders are going to be the same because
Devin and Leroy don't want to go after other people
(21:41):
with the stars, which I think is a good move,
so they don't, you know, end up going into elimination.
We see Sylvia and Kelly Inn have a conversation.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
They are.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
You know, they're making up. Kelly Anne says she she
doesn't feel like Sylvia is less than her or anything
like that, and they both agree that they can be
a strong team in the game if they can just
get on the right side and start to agree with
(22:21):
each other. And then right before the House vote, we
see a bunch of people working out and then we
get that like compilation of Anissa just laying out on
the couch. Yeah, and like I no, no, because that's
(22:42):
the thing, right, Like everybody is laying on the couch
on these off days. You know, it's not just Anissa,
but like the problem is the other people are working
out when Anissa doesn't. Ashley so Wes Wes had this
(23:02):
seasons ago. He when he had the argument with Josh
on Total Madness, Wes said, you know, I don't come
here for you know, the arguments. I come here to
win a million dollars. And Ashley is like the epitome
of that sentence. Like, Ashley doesn't come on the show
(23:25):
to like get cast on another season. She comes on
to win because.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
She also comes on to start a lot of shit though.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Sure, sure, but in doing so, she knows that she
can get to a final and win.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Yes, he's he's a competitor. I mean she backs up
her shit talk, right, she's.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Done it already. Yeah, so you're certainly right. She does
certainly get bored social start ship, but at the same time,
like she doesn't manufacture it. Like the drama you get
from Ashley is how she's authentically feeling. She's not gonna
(24:08):
ever be somebody who is talking to you know, challengers
in the off season and be like, hey, let's start
a fight on this day on this daily. You know
that's that's never going to be Ashley. So we get
to the house vote and uh again, same thing as
(24:31):
last week. Adam and Steve are unanimous going in, aside
from Katie and Veronica voting in Big T and Corey again.
I think Corey is like trying to start this like
tiff between them when it's absolutely like not a thing,
(24:55):
which is interesting. You know, he's someone who's come on
the podcast before and someone I want to reach out
to as the season goes on. The one thing I'm
frustrated about politically, and maybe you can chime in on this,
Like I feel like some of the smaller intricacies of
(25:15):
the political game have been fun, but seeing Adam and
Steve get voted in unanimously two weeks in a row
has been really annoying.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
It's gonna well, it's gonna g That's that's the thing.
That's why nobody wanted to go in the first week,
because once you go in, they're gonna keep voting you in. Yeah,
it sucks, And you know, I think the other thing too,
is like sorry, you're sick, We're not gonna have sympathy
for you, Like come on, I mean, come on, that.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
That was stupid. I was like, I was like Steven Adam,
come on, nobody's given you sympathy, Like you're already one
of the biggest threats, Like nobody is going to say,
you know what, we'll go in for you, it's just
not gonna happen. Uh yeah, it's weird and the biggest
and being I mean, how many times have we seen
(26:03):
you know, a J B two C T Like anybody
can be anybody in elimination, So no one's gonna fall
on the sword too to go in against anyone, especially
in a season like this. I think we're gonna get
fun eliminations, but we're not gonna be getting you know,
(26:24):
we're not getting hall brawl Paul Russell balls in because
like you can't have like Melissa and Nicole go in
against Adam and Steam in a hall brawl.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
So yeah, yeah, they have to even it out. I'm
they'll do a brawl this season because they need to
keep the eliminations even.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
It's gonna be tough to see that, Like it would
have to be.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Like you know, they would they would have to know
it's guy guy.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Or guy girl and the girls go against each other
and the guys.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, and you know, you know the other The other
thing too, is we have we They've done a really
good job this season to keep us in the dark
of who they're gonna pick to go into elimination against
the house voted team like we didn't know these last
two weeks who they would pick.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
So.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
You know, it's just been a good like shock factor.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, I mean to set that up perfectly, because that's
the next thing in my notes here. Devin and Leroy
are talking to Adam and Steve after the House vote
and they want Frank and Sam to go in. You know,
I think it's pretty clear that Frank has really been
on the offensive politically. He is not like he's saying
(27:43):
the names early on. He doesn't want to deal with
any uh you know, problems as far as him and
Sam going into elimination. Uh, you know, because they could
be in some deep shit if they go in, and uh,
you know, Devin says, we can't guarantee it, but they
want to keep the star holders safe and uh when
(28:08):
we go to the jungle, like you said, they have
been keeping us in the dark. You know. We we
were blindsided as viewers to see Beth and john A
go in last week when Fessal and Amber threw them in,
and then this week I was very surprised that Kelly
Ann and Sylvia go in here. You know, I thought
the edit was showing that they were getting back on
(28:31):
track and that they were going to be a team
in the game for a while.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Really surprised, uh that they get thrown in here.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
We Yeah, I am too. It's kind of seemed like
a they did the last two weeks, and who can
we send in that are not going to come back
in so they're not against us, you know.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Yeah, and it's not a bad strategy. We've seen it
on the show before. But I was very surprised, and
I really I'll still stick on this, Like, I think
Kellyan and Sylvia could have been in the game for
a very long time.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Yeah, but it was nice to see them at least
mend their relationship and actually become friends.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
That was nice. Yes, I agree, you know, I certainly
want to see people still not like each other when
they leave the game, but I also want to see
a few Yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
I mean we got that with Beth.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
The edits with Beth and john A last week were
very funny, so good.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
So good. Yeah, I mean, look, there's no there's no
coming back from accusing someone of cheating on their husband.
I know that that doesn't happen, so but yeah, we
see Frank and confessional and he says, who would have
thought that Kellyan and Sylvia were going in and then
he says me, flashes back to Frank and Sam chatting
(29:56):
with Evan and Leroy, and you know, Frank talks about
how he can manipulate them, and he, you know, says
that they're gonna save them, you know, if it's needed.
And you know, I think it's a good deal. And
I think Devon, Devin and Leroy, I don't know, because
(30:30):
I feel like there could have been a better option
here to go in, but I just I don't know.
It's kind of hard to think, like who that team
would have been for Devon and Leroy because they both
have a lot of friends in the house.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
And yeah, I don't think they had too many options.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Like obviously they're not throwing a Nanny and Turbo, you know,
they're not throwing in you know, Amber and Fessel. Amber
and Fessel would have dominated this elimination, like they would
have crushed this.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah, let's yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Let's what's uh, let's get in the the elimination part.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah. No, I was just thinking if there was a
third option, but there's obviously no, I don't think Yeah,
I don't think so, but uh, the elimination is called
uh like it on, I believe something like that. So
there's two puzzles that have to get solved. They're kind
(31:45):
of gear puzzles where you have to spin them and
everything has still fall in perfectly, and there is a
very high up spool of rope that's going to be
falling down and uh uh. The pairs have to hold
the rope up in the air, you know, above their
(32:05):
platform for five minutes. If they drop, they have to
start all over again. And I was I was hoping
the puzzle was going to be the equalizer. But then
we hear Steve say, oh, I have an app on
my phone and.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
I know the exact ones.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
I was like, oh, okay, like great Jesus Christ, like
because as soon as I saw like the school thing,
like Adam and Steve are bigger.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah, I thought I thought it was going to be
the holding the rope aspect because Adam's sick.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
True. Yeah, but Steve was holding like ninety five percent
of the rope.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Yeap.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
He really, you know, did a good job here. I'll
give it up to again, like I really, you know, obviously,
when people go home in an episode of the challenge,
like you see a lot of things they done wrong.
KellyAnn and Sylvia were a minute behind on the puzzle.
They don't let go of the rope. They were communicating
(33:08):
pretty well. I mean that puzzle is hard to communicate
with two. It was clear that they wanted a puzzle
where communication was going to be key. Yep, but that's
it's a tough puzzle to you know, talk through like
I need this piece, you need that piece type of thing.
(33:30):
So Steve and Adam win, Kelly and and Sylvia go home.
H Like you said earlier, they they really have made up.
You know. I think if they go on another All
Star season together, they're definitely not going to be targeting
each other. H Yeah, you hope it it sticks, like
we'll see. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I also don't know do you think Sylvia.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Do you think Sylvia is going to be back? Or
you think Kelly Ann she.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Was kind of like I got staffed.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
They do at home, like, you know, like she's kind
of she's kind of losing the flame.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
Maybe they're both getting married. Sylvia had a newborn, but no,
I I think I think All Stars the whole, Like
one of the biggest points of it is that people
with everyday lives and careers can come back on and
do it. Yeah, I think Kellyanne is somebody they should
(34:27):
be casting on, and they have done her. She's been
on I think four All Star seasons now, but she
should be getting the call for every All Star season yea,
every single one. And I'd like to see Sylvia back too,
you know, All Stars three, I didn't love her, like
(34:49):
constantly going at Kellyanne, but I think this season of
All Stars like it was a good uh, a good
change for her and like.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Yeah, that's why I said, like he's always just kind
of nasty in.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Some of these seasons, but this season, at least this
last episode, it was nice to see her like be
nice to somebody, you know, and they get along with
somebody she.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Didn't like before.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Yeah. Yeah, So I think i'd like to see her back,
and you know, they're gonna keep doing All Stars. It's
been getting really good reviews and ratings and everything. So
I mean to the point that it's on MTV now,
which is you know, even though people our age like
streaming better, Yeah, from a TV perspective, it's better to
(35:37):
be on the networks. So again, we have back to
back episodes here where we we have the elimination results.
We see the team go home, but we have a
big fight between rival pairs. This one starts with the
enemy of many fights in the challenge alcohol. I really
(36:02):
think if Ashley and Anissa were sober here, this argument
would have never happened. Anissa starts doing a Southern accent
and Ashley says, well, I went to a high school
with three thousand people. I grew up in an affluent suburb.
The redneck thing is really overdone.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Although let's let's like not forget and there a great
job of throwing a little seed in here.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
At the beginning of the episode, they literally showed Ashley
broadcasting herself as the country millionaire or whatever she was saying, like,
she said something about her southern act.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
She said, I got my Southern accent and.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Sudden like that in the beginning, and she was literally
broadcasting herself and then now she's getting mad that Anissa's
bringing that up.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
I thought it was very interesting, you know what, Yes,
but this I think this argument was just like actually
probably and they haven't aired them all, but I'm sure
they were talking about strategy and all this stuff. And
(37:12):
we've seen Anissa where people throw a name out and
she'll just say, oh no, I really like them, and
then they'll say, okay, well now list no, we can't
do them either, like I did one season with them
like sixteen years ago. So I think actually, between the
(37:34):
social game with Anissa and then the the stuff in
these dailies, I think she is just so fed up
and over it.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
Oh yeah, it's it's a well that's what I was saying.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Like she advertised herself as this southern person, so like
the point of the fight made no sense, Like I
think it was just as you're saying, she's just boiling.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
She's boiling over. Yeah. Yeah, And Fessel talks about what
we said earlier that like Ashley and Anissa could really
be a good pair in the game, when Ashley is
like venting to to fessl that like Anissa just does
not do anything. She comes in, she sits around the
(38:18):
house all the time, thinking that that's going to carry her.
But then all of her friends get to finals, she
gets thrown in and she's right, like that happens every
season with Anissa. Every season.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Yeah, yeah, no, I just and then you think, and
it's funny that she says that she trains outside of
the house, but like it's the performance never improves. You
think the performance eventually would improve if she did that.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
But even forget the performance for a second, Like she
needs to change the way she plays this game because
she ends up getting thrown in right before the final
every time.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
And yeah, well that why is that? It's because it's
because she's not performing well in challenges and if it's guy,
if the guys have to pair up with the girls,
the guys don't want to pair up with her in
a final, So like she has to you know, she
actually is training, then you got to change your training
(39:18):
or something.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
Right, And so we've seen in the preview for next episode,
Anissa is or excuse me, Ashley throws out at the
house vote that the star holders have been the same
throughout the game so far, and she's right.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Yeah, I hope the house vote finally changes.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yeah. For a podcasting perspective and a viewers standpoint, I
would love to see, you know, see it switch up,
you know, Yeah, that would be really nice. But overall,
I gotta say All Starts Vibes is exceeding my expectations
so far. So yeah, I think.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Our expectations were probably super low, and I think it's
been about a fine I think it's been a fine
season so far. Nothing special, but it's been entertaining. You know,
it's been like I can sit down and watch this
season and I think, as you said, like expeding our expectations.
So I am. I'm happy with it so far.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
I think it's been pretty good. Absolutely, I couldn't say better.
