Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's going on everybody? And welcome back to another episode
of the Challenge Fanatics podcast where we break down everything
Challenge related. My name is Josh Green. You can find
us on all social media platforms at Challenge fan Pod.
We're here to continue our journey on the Challenge All
Stars five Rivals. You know, we weren't able to record
(00:26):
last week. We missed a big episode. Another banger of
an episode here episode six. A star Holder is born,
and I'm here with a guy I think is pretty
good at words scrambles and deciphering five to seven letter words.
(00:50):
Austin Buegel said, Austin, how you don't, I'm doing great.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I think your assessment of my word scramble ability is correct.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Those Oh it's correct. Yeah. I think I would have
been going like Sam was doing and like going sideways,
because it definitely was more effective to go sideways down
the ramp. You would have swam out to the key
and tried to figure out that word.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Especially I'm a solid swimmer, so we could have got
that done.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah yeah, that that looked like a you know, I've
been I've been pleasantly, you know, maybe not with the
daily or honestly, the Daily is too. I've been pleasantly
surprised with the challenges this season. Uh, and the eliminations
have been very fair, you know, and I was definitely
(01:45):
skeptical with you know, having guy guy teams and girl
girl teams, but everything has been very even. But like
I said, we weren't here last week, but a lot
of people had Devin and Leroy as the favorites to
win this season. And they go into elimination against Sadam
(02:08):
and Steve and they lose in this uh barrel uh
slash math type elimination thing. Uh and it completely upsets
the Apple card with Devin and Leroy out of the game.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah, Devin and I mean Adam and Steve Man how
crazy they're killing it and uh yeah, we'll talk about
it obviously, you know, with this week's episode.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
But they need a break. They've been every episode. It's
just they're they're winning. They just keep winning. It's it's
they're a really good team. And it's I don't know,
I thought about this too. It's surprising because like on
All Stars, especially Steve, it's like he's Stevens like like
so average or he's out first or something, and now
(02:55):
you know, these guys are like I know, like I
think last season they were close to getting to the
final or both of them almost went to the final.
But I think just being this dominant is very impressive.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah. I mean we had Steve, you know, he very
much like did not go far and all starts to
Adam came in on All Stars four and had that
deep run. But I guess the house determined that they
were this bigger threat than Devin and Leroy or maybe
(03:32):
they had ties to Devin and Leroy as well, and
definitely opens up the board as far as like, you know,
different targets and things like that. I think it was
a great move from Frank and Sam to get devinond
Leroy out of the game. Yeah, Frank and and Sam too.
(03:52):
I mean they win that gross eating challenge last week.
I've really enjoyed both of them on the season.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, they've been good, and.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I don't know, there's a there's a storyline forming around
them and you're kind of like, man, they're gonna get
out early.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
But now, I don't know. I mean, they've been doing
pretty well and we'll talk about it again, you know
today with them.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
So yeah, yeah, I mean and we got we have
a couple of team things to discuss before the Daily Challenge.
But we have Dario saying that, you know, he he
doesn't want to he doesn't want to discuss his breakup
(04:35):
with with Ashley Ashley Kay. I don't know if you
knew this, but Ashley Kay's Ashley Kay's husband was carry
On Johnson from that.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Is single.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
She is, but she had a child with Carrie On.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Johnson isn't a Hall of Famer. No, I'm thinking I'm
thinking another tight end.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
He's a running back from the Lions. Carry On. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yeah, oh dude, I'm thinking of Johnson.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
No, no, no, not Keithshean no carry On the interesting
He was like a second or a third string, uh
for the Lions. Yeah, but yeah, she is single, and
we do see them at the end of the episode
kind of reconcile. Something that I enjoyed. Here we have
(05:37):
Shane and Davon talking and they really are you know,
I've seen people say like, we're not seeing a ton
of Shane and Davon like they always are in the Confessionals,
you know, giving us fun soundbites. But this season we
really have not gotten much. They're protected from every angle.
(05:59):
You know, Shane's got the old schoolers that are definitely
going to be protecting him. H Davon's got all the
big brother people that are going to be protecting her.
And you know she also has Nanni and Turbo because
she did a season with them. I mean she really
(06:23):
They're in a great spot politically, you know, to just
chill and eventually, when the time is right, go in
and get that star. It just makes me wonder if
they're too if they're too protected, which is interesting. But
we finally get the answer that we were waiting for
(06:46):
about what happens when there is an open star and
TJ welcomes us to the Star Challenge where a star
will be guaranteed to be given out today.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
What do you what do you think of this? Because
I have thoughts I what end? I like the competing nature.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
On the other end, man I really want to see
I would it would it would make I think the
drama aspect would increase a little bit if the star
holder that won in the elimination against another starholder got
to choose who gets the star.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
That's what I was hoping it was going to be.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, because that I don't mind the competition aspect.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
I think that's cool and fair, but like it would
create a lot of drama if yeah, star holders who
won could pick. I mean, cause can you imagine that
last elimination it's a starholder against a star holder.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
And you know there's like there's like two non star
holder teams left or something, and they have to choose
who to give the star to.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Like that would be crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
And it's still at this point in the game. Let's
say it was a choice, Adam and Steve would have
had to have realized that if you give your star
to an ally, it's not necessarily a good thing.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah, I agree, I think you still have to especially
with how not Good and Katie are in challenges, Like
I still think you have to just take the risk
and give them a star because I don't know if
they'll have another opportunity again.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
But yeah, I see your point.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Like we've seen it on the other seasons where it
was a star or a skull or whatever. Getting it
too early can really put a target on your back,
and you know you end up going in and like
these other teams if they win dailies. Let's say in
(08:47):
this hypothetical Adam and Steve get to choose. They're of
course going to give it to Katie and Veronica. Let's
say like an let's say Melissa Nicole win, they would
probably throw themselves in against Katie and b You know.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, no, I mean that that's the thing is like,
And it's the same with we'll talk about it obviously
after the daily, but you know, the even.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
That a week, okay, we'll talk. We'll talk about after
we talk about who wins the day that I won't
spoil anything. Obviously, we're at.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Least I feel like now we're at least getting more
more drama from it. But so TJ says, regardless of
who wins today's challenge a star holder, there's going to
be a new star holder. So this is going to
be done in three heats, and it's called playing dirty.
(09:43):
One member of the rival pairs is going to go
up this ladder, down the slide and do it as
many times as possible to reveal I believe it was
six or seven symbols to decode a word. The person
to do it the fastest or the pair to do
it the fastest, wins the challenge. The star holders who
(10:05):
are the fastest will protect their star if they're the
number one overall. Again, we got back to back challenges
here that Frank and Sam are you know, Frank and
Sam win their heat here. Sam comes up with the
strategy of going sideways instead of going like you know,
(10:31):
like it you're going down the water side sheet, you know,
goes down sideways and it opened up the board a lot.
Frank goes right to the the decoding station and we see,
you know, Turbo Nani do pretty well here. Amber and Fessel.
(10:55):
Amber and Fessel have really just dominated this this season overall,
and these challenges poor I actually I don't feel bad
for Fessi at all because he could have stuck with Amber.
He threw himself into elimination to not be with her
and then she ended up winning. So I don't feel
(11:16):
bad for fest at all.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Actually, yeah, if he doesn't win this season, I mean
threw away his chance to win.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Because Amber won that one with CT and you know,
I think he'll always wonder what if you.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Know, yeah, in Casey, in Casey like Broker angle.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Yeah, yeah, that was one of the wild I think
that might have been the worst injury we've seen since
we've been covering the show.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
I'd say worst injury and one of the worst decisions
pre final I think we've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
So Adam and Steve are crushing this daily. The Nonstone
use me the non star holder team, but the fastest
time is Frank and Sam. So Frank and Sam now
joined this group of star holders, which is Adam and Steve,
(12:12):
Nanni and Turbo and Ashley and Dario as the four
star holders. But TJ tells us the overall fastest time
is Adam and Steve, which finally answers the question what
will happen in this house when Adam and Steve are safe?
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Bro? They are absolutely just dominating this every episode every season,
or sorry, every.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Episode they've won something this season.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I mean, I'm trying to think of comparable like like
starts the seasons.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
This is like, this is pretty phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
I think of Frank on Free Agents when he won
like the first two or three eliminations and then went home.
But these guys are hanging in there even longer than.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
That, so you keep expecting their luck to run out.
They keep losing or you expect that to happen, and
it's just not happening. So you imagine, as you know,
and I think they will talk about it, but like
the fact that they use their power to cut deals
is huge because if they can avoid going in again
(13:29):
at least for another week or two, like that would
be huge for them.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
It does make me wonder, yeah, yeah, I when we
get to that, I have a few thoughts on that.
But Adam and Steven, I mean, now we already got
a few confessionals right away. But I really think a
majority of these teams, at least I'm gaining this from
(13:59):
the I think a lot of them were not thinking,
you know, oh man, what are we going to do
if Adam and Steve are safe. I think they were like,
we're going to keep throwing them in. We're we're just
going to throw them until they go home and they
(14:20):
get it done. And I I liked it simply because
now we knew that this is going to completely flip
the game, and any anytime the game flips and then
flips back and then flips is something that I enjoy.
(14:42):
It makes for a more enjoyable season. And while I've
been liking seeing Adam and Steve win in elimination, I
want to see other teams have to either avoid elimination
or go down there. And win, and uh, this was fun.
I mean your initial thoughts of this, like crazy scramble
(15:05):
that they had going on, left, right and center. You're muted, buddy,
are we go?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yeah? The house boat.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
But yeah, I thought it was I mean, it was
good to finally see that happen. I just I hate
part of the things that I think the challenges unless
it's like a rookie team, and it's very funny that
there Jesus.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Keeps sending them in. I think that's funny.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
But like voting for Steven Adam, it's just I don't know,
it's just annoying, like make a move.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Like come on.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
But yeah, no, I like to scramble and even into
even when we got into the vote, we had no
idea who's gonna get picked, so there were like three
or four names that could have could have went in.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
So I thought it was good to see.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
I think now the game is finally like starting and
big win for Adam Steve because now it's going to open.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
The door for other people to be voted in.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
So I'm curious to see what's gonna happen in the
next couple of weeks about you know, who's going to
be voted in and you know what.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
We have one simple thing they could do. And again, like,
I doubt the Challenge will ever do this because there
there have been pairs that have been you know, thrown
in repeatedly, and you know, I doubt it'll ever happen
(16:34):
where they decide to do this. But one way that
would solve this issue is if they make a rule
at the beginning of the season. Hey, once you go
in and win, you can't be voted in again. I
know the pairs wouldn't love that, but I sure would.
(16:57):
Has that ever happened before, I don't think so. I
don't think so, But it would be nice to have
that maybe like.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
A maybe like an elimination insurance where you win and
you get a week.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
If you don't, you're not you can't get put in.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Or yeah, just like the next round, you can't be
automatically thrown back in it. And it's not just because like,
oh my fave went into elimination and they won, like
it's fun to root for Adam and Steve, but it's
better that rule is if it were to happen, is
because it helps change up the dynamics of the house
(17:32):
and it keeps everyone on their toes. They can't just
think of, oh, we're gonna throw in Adam and Steve
every single week, every single time we're voting. We do
see Fessl and Nani talking and they realize that this
house vote is going to be is going to be
tough now with Adam and Steve being safe, they want
(17:57):
to flip the vote on to Katie and Veronica because
they know that if which I thought was very smart
from both of them here, they know that if Katie
and Veronica are the house boat, that Steve and Adam
will not throw in their pairs. And I gotta give
both of them credit. Normally I'm always dogging on them
(18:20):
for their strategy, but this I thought was great from
both of them.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Oh it was so funny. Yeah, and the editing and
stuff was amazing.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yes, and I thought this was a great move. But
then we see Veronica, who has been a great strategic
player for a long time, and she's going around planning seeds,
doing a great job. We see Katie Cooley back in
(18:54):
Challenge one oh one master Class. She's getting Melissa nervous
saying how they need to flip their vote.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah, nobody talked to nobody talk to each other. They
just like assumed they took them for work. For the word.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
It's this particular group of people that I think it
would work on, right, Like we don't have some of
the other people that have been on the All Stars recently.
We don't have people from the Flagship or some people
from the Flagship on this season. I think Katie and
(19:30):
Veronica saw this group of people and we're like, we
can mess with these people.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yeah, and saying I believe them, they wouldn't lie to me.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Yeah, yeah, they They really got Amber there. Amber. This
has been the thing for her though on the show and.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
The later on saying I wouldn't do that. I don't
play that kind of game girl.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
What she does believe a lot of people though, at
face value.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
So that's yeah, that's something you got, I mean, and
that is interesting coming from Big Brother, like can't believe
anybody at face value.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
But that was the thing though with Amber. Everybody was
so shocked that she came over to the Challenge. She
wasn't even on I don't think she made the jury
on Big Brother sixteen, and they ended up casting her
on the Challenge.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I wonder if I wonder if they did like some
kind of athletic background check or.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Something on her.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Oh he was a he for sure better suited to
do the challenge.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, and they randomly will find people, you know, even
if they're pre jury, which reminds me one of the
and we can talk about this off pod, but a
ran a rumor named for forty one is a pre
jur from Big Brothers. So they do they have done it?
(21:03):
You know they did. I think I'll put a bow
on this. I think when Amber one, I think they
realize that, like they don't need to just look at
Big Brother winners and Big Brother runner ups to put
on the show. So we're so at this point, if
(21:25):
you're keeping track, we have Katie and Veronica's name being
thrown out there. Uh, there's now this flip onto Ashley
and Dario that is being put out in the ether,
and Ashley and Dario have no idea they are. We
see Dario the whole episode after the Daily, he is
(21:46):
in the pool. He is not a care in the world,
has no clue that they could possibly be going into elimination.
They were shocked here. Katie and Veronica continue to plant
the seeds up until the house vote, wilsten Nicole Zeam
is getting thrown out because of the lie that Veronica
(22:09):
made up about them throwing out Amber's name. This worked
to perfection in my opinion. For the old schoolers. They
clearly win the episode. They win the day here.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, they bamboozled the young guys.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
They get it done. Not only that, for Adam and Steve,
they get Ashley and Dario thrown into elimination the house
vote again, We're not even having close house voats anymore.
This season has been like near unanimous houseboats every single episode.
(22:51):
Adam and Steve, we're getting another flashback. I think this
is something they've decided to do for the season because
this has been every episode we as the viewers are
getting blindsided on who's being thrown in against the house boat.
And then they flash back and they show us we
(23:13):
were going to throw in so and so, but and
then they showed the b roll footage like you alluded to,
And I'd love you know, I know you have thoughts
on this, so I'd love to hear it. Adam and
seem Cut deals with Amber and Vessel and with Nanni
and Turbo, and they say they're going to be reciprocated.
(23:35):
I'd love to hear what you think. Is this going
to get honored? Was this the right move for that?
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Know, both me and Corey were watching it like they're
not gonna honor this.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
But but I don't know, BETHI and Amber and Nanni
and Turbo.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
If you're gonna cut a deal with some powerful people
that could hold true to their words, I think those
two I think would, like I legitimately think Nanny would.
I would be shocked if Nanny breaks that. And then
I think Amber Infetti, I think they would. I don't
know why they wouldn't at this point. I understand they
want to get them out.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
You know, so maybe they just break it next episode.
But like, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
I think this was an incredibly smart move by Adam
and Steve. I would have done the same thing. And
you know, the other thing that I like we haven't
talked about is.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Like you can hear me, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
The other thing we haven't talked about too, is like
we only saw Adam and Corey kind of go at
it the housefold last episode, but it feels like there
were way more arguments that just weren't shown to us
that like kind of triggered that whole thing.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. And I don't know, I doubt
and maybe you did see this, but Corey on on
social media really was laying into Adam two. Actually why
can't I find it?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
But like my thing is like for what like what happened?
For what reason?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah? There, there definitely was more that was going on here.
I agree with you. I was just trying to pull
up Corey's Twitter and I'm I'm not finding his posts.
But what I can say is he and Adam were
really Corey was posting like direct messages between him and Adam.
(25:38):
It got pretty heated. Wow.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Yeah, see, I I have a thing like Sylvia got
a lot better this season. I have just not enjoyed
why Corey plays this game unsurdly emotionally and he hurts
people like he just takes it too far. Like I
don't know, I don't know the background of it, but
(26:03):
the way they made it seem was Adam basically said
Corey in Big T's name, and then Corey just went
off the handle.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
And at least when.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
You're watching it, you're like, dude, they've been thrown in
every single like see every single episode. Why are you
getting so mad at them for just throwing out a
toss out vote, but so like that's why I'm like,
there has to be something more out there.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
So yeah, I'm seeing it now, even though it looks weird.
It looks like Corey like wiped his Twitter clean, which
maybe that's a whole other story, but him and Adam
were going back and forth on Twitter. Corey said, you've
mentioned me and now we're talking about me in a
group chat with fans. Get a life, you miserable bitch,
(26:51):
And then Adam replied, is this what I've been missing
all these years? Shut your mouth when you talk to me,
or I'll play you like a video game next time
I see that beautiful jawline, you miserable bitch. I'm getting angry. Lol.
How am I doing at Katie Cooley twenty six? And
(27:12):
then yeah, we're It's just it's weird, like there is
a lot of back and forth with Adam and Corey
on on socials and don't I don't know where it's
coming from, Like you said, there had to have been
more going on here.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Yeah, they made it seem like Adam and Steve just
voted for Corey and Big Team and Corey went nuts,
which honestly from previous seasons could definitely have happened, Like
that could have just happened because we know Corey reacts
very harshly to things sometimes when it's like whoa dude,
like take it easy in here.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
The thing like, I don't always agree with Corey's moves
in the game, but I think, like when we've had
him on the podcast, he does articulate his game very well.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
I think he's very smart.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, I think he's very smart. I think he has
emotional parts of the game sometimes that could have been
one maybe maybe, but again I think there was there
probably was something else boiling up because like at the
end of the day, they Adam Steve have to vote
somebody and so, but like why they chose Corey big
t could have been something that has been festering for
(28:25):
a while and we don't we don't know about it
as fans, But yeah, Corey, Corey has emotional time sometimes
big like the big team Melissa thing. I'm glad he
made up to them because that was that was tough.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
So yeah, and there was no need for it when
it happened back that was crazy. It's one thing if
it like really would have shaken the apple cart and
it would have really helped him in his game. Yeah,
it did not at all.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Again, this is why, like Corey is a smart player,
like he I know, I think everybody knows what he
was trying to do there, but like the human aspect
of it was kind of was was the rough part.
So yeah, I mean, yeah, he's I think he's again
we've seen it in the other shows he's been. He's
a smart player. I think sometimes it's just a little
emotionally charged, which could get in trouble that I think
(29:18):
that's like just so everybody has their weaknesses, but that's
I think that's what happens with Corey sometimes.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
And we have plenty of emotionally charged people.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
In reality oh my gosh, oh my gosh, all over
reality television.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Yeah, and we enjoy it, you know. But I think
here and the reason why I started the episode saying
that the old scorers won the day and really did
a good job. And I think Corey would recognize this
now too. In what world our Big Tea and Corey
going to save Listen, they've already voted in Adam and
(29:54):
Steve multiple times. They were one of the few teams
to burn vote or just randomly say Katie and Veronica's name.
There is no world, none, where they're going to be
able to work with Katie and v or Adam and Steve.
So for them it's like, look, if Ashley and Dario
(30:19):
do win, that's fine because that's getting rid of a
team that's never working with us. Ever. Well, can you
remind me who did?
Speaker 2 (30:30):
Who did? Big T and Corey didn't. They want to
like change the house to go towards somebody.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
So yeah, let me think of so the names were.
It was Melissa and Nicole at one point, but they
were obviously not going to do that. I think they
wanted to flip it on Katie and Veronica.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Yeah, well okay, so yes, okay, now, because I was
watching this and I was like, originally it was going
to be a strong pair like Nanni and Turbo or
someone and then two star holders against each other. But
they wanted, Yeah, they wanted to change it to Melissa
and Veronica. But then I was thinking, man, if you,
if you, if they vote in Melissa and or Veronica
(31:13):
and uh Katie, if they vote in Veronica and Katie,
Adam and Steve are gonna put in a very weak
team so they can try to win and that might
very well be big team Corey. So like you're hurting
yourselves if you do that. Regardless, I think I don't know.
I I just think the House vote. I think the
(31:36):
House vote determined who they were gonna put in.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Yeah, and I in their head, maybe they're thinking we
can beat Katie and Veronica, so that's why, yeah, no.
One hundred.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
But but also I don't think they thought they were
going to go in. I thought they were just trying
to like, you know, screw Aham and Steve. But I
was like, you screw at him and Steve. They're gonna
put you in, Like I don't They're not gonna have
a reason to put a star Holder in, you know.
So they're just gonna put in a team they want
to get rid of.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
And I'm sure that they were talking to other star
Holder teams. Like the star Holders this season are very strong.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
I mean with Frank, very strong, and every and every
challenge and every daily they're like the top five teams
or four teams.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
With Frank and Sam. Now, I mean you've got another
two daily wins between the star Holders. Like these are
strong teams so I imagine granted, Adam and Steve are
not allied with Frank and Sam and they want to
send them home, but I think the other star holders
they want to at least try and protect it. Was
(32:43):
it was interesting from big team Corey.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah, definitely, but let's you know, like you said, the
old timers won the show. Veronica and Katie unreal edit.
That was very fun Katie want to one, you know,
challenge one to one. I love how in that the
intro that they do for her now they put uh
what was it that one of the words they have
a bunch of like her lessons, you know behind her
(33:06):
that editing poling I see. Yeah, they put pola dicking
up there.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
That was so funny.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
They got a bunch of different words up there.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah, I thought I thought that was what they did
was so funny. But honestly, it's funny. But also that's
why they're still in the game. They're so good at that.
It's very funny. But when people catch on to what
they did, it's not gonna be great. However, they now
have Melissa thinking that she's the one that did that,
so they let Melissa run with it. They're in the clear.
So it'll be fun to see how that goes. The
(33:36):
other thing I want to mention too before we get
into elimination, Frank and Sam winning a star is now
going to open up, uh, non star holders winning dailies
going in. I think if they can get the House
to vote Frank and Sam, I think you're gonna you're
gonna start seeing some of these non star holders that
win dailies go into the elimination. Because, like you said,
(33:58):
star holders are very strong. Frank and Sam I think
are viewed as a not super strong team depending on
what the elimination is. So if you get a physical elimination,
I think, I think you're gonna start seeing these non
star holder daily winners go in.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
And that's a great point. I think they would be
making a mistake doing that. Frank, I think it's good.
Frank is one of those guys who you you really
should not want to go against.
Speaker 3 (34:26):
No, I know, I trust me.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Frank is a dog. But if this is a physical
you know, I'm thinking, like you have to move bricks
or you have to you know, things like that, Like
it's gonna be hard on Sam as brutal as it is, right,
like they threw the house through and Adam and Steve
when they were sick, because they thought that they could
get him out and they could get out, so like,
you know, they see an opportunity to exploit you know, Sam,
(34:48):
Sam's weakness or anything like that, like they'll put her in.
But regardless, I wanted to see Frank like do well
this this season. I mean, I think we everybody loves Frank,
even though he's you know, Frank shut us up and downs.
But I am very happy that they're winning now and
it makes the season a lot better. So that'll be
very fun fun. But I'm intrigued to see now if
(35:09):
non star holders win and the house boats in Frank
and Sam, I'm very intrigued to see how that will
change eliminations.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
I think it's a great point, and it's not just
Frank and Sam, Like it's gonna be hard for people
to get their hand picked matchup. We have what eight
teams left coming into this episode in four it seems
like we're only getting four going to the finals.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
So how many eighties at eighteen?
Speaker 1 (35:35):
I think we had eight teams to start this episode.
Maybe I'm wrong, and it was this seams low. It
was let's see we had as we had four star holders,
Ashley and Dario, Franken, Sam, Nanni and Turbo and Adam
and Steve. We've got Fessel and Amber in there. We've
got Katie and Veronica. We've got Corey and Big T
(35:58):
coming into the episode. We have uh, Melissa and Nicole.
That's eight. Davon and Shane that's nine.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
So yeah, nine or ten, that would make sense, so that.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Always eight at the end of this episode.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Then okay at the end of the episode. Wow, so
we're getting really getting pretty close. So probably three or
four more, three or four more, I assume we're gonna
have a doublelimination soon. But three or four more weeks
until the final.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Yeah, and am with eight teams, like, and there's four
star holders, it doesn't matter who you go in against.
You're gonna have to throw yourself in to get that
star Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Who just said? Who? Who's somebody just said this episode that.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
We're still early in the season.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Oh yeah, I forget Uh.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
I heard that. I was like, are we It's like
you've got like four or five eliminations where Adam and
Steve of won all of them.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Nah, Like we started with fourteen hairs early in the season.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah, people gotta start going in. It's like time, it's
time people start winning and going in.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
I think they're just nervous of like, oh, we throw
ourselves in, we win elimination, and then someone's just gonna
steal our star right away.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
There's a It is fun. This this strategy is fine.
I do like this. And they started with what the
Red Skulls right a couple of seasons ago, and then the
Flagship Flagship show. I like this because it provides strategy
of like essentially straddling a line of timing, timing of
(37:37):
getting going in and getting your star and getting your
star with plenty of time so you don't have to
risk not having one for the elimination. And it's that
fine line that you have to like battle between so
that you don't miss out. You're gonna have to go in,
So just I would just go and just Or you
can just hope that a star becomes available in a
star star battle in the elimination and you can try
(37:59):
to win a daily, but again it's just risks.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Or again you can do what happened on the five
Ship and hope your friends will vote you into elimination.
If you're friends.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
No, well, that's what it is like, volunteer in the house,
vote and just hope you get voted in. I think
if people I think this season, because of the way
voting has been going, I think if people volunteer themselves,
the house would happily vote them in.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah, sure, go on in.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
Yeah the way it's the way it's been going. Like
they've been kind of just like whatever the house wants.
So if somebody says, yeah, put us in, like they're
going to go in.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
But that's the problem with the skull twist. You can't
just think that way because if you keep waiting, you
may not get that time to go in and you know,
go yeah. But I love Dariu's confessionals when when he
gets voted in by the house and then they're they're
going down to elimination. He's got no clue. Ashley is
(38:51):
handling this really well, in my opinion. She's not taking
it personally at all. She's like, I get it, it's
a game where a star holder. We've had a star
since the beginning of the season. You know, we had
a feeling we were going to have to come down
to elimination again. And she's right, like the fact that
these star holders until last episode didn't go to elimination
(39:15):
was crazy.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
I know, you know, but also you got people dark.
I mean you saw you heard Corey talk about it.
People have lost trust in Dario essentially because he's like
Leroy is his best friend and he was able to
he was willing to cut Leroy. So we'll see what
happens this. I have a feeling and I don't know, maybe,
(39:39):
but I have a feeling this could be. There could
be some production pushing and encouragement for Dario and Ashley
this year. Considering if Dario n Ashley won and Dario
was the overall, Dario would steal the money from Ashley.
If they're doing that this year, Dario would one hundred
percent take the money and run. So if if production
(40:01):
wants a Ashley and Hunter situation and wants to kind
of rekindle that again, all that backlash like they might
do the whole Oh yeah, Dario one, Daria, what are
you gonna do? When maybe he didn't So yeah, I
could see I have I see it. I see it
coming to fruition. The way Darvy was like, I will
do anything for that money.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
I think, didn't they say in the beginning of the
season that it was it was something like that, since it's.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
I don't think. I don't think they explicitly said it,
but the people, the contestants are like, it's going crazy.
If if you get to choose the money, you know what's.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Going to happen.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
That's right, Yeah, yeah, so we'll we'll see. We get
this elimination. It is called stack attack. Uh. There are
two giant awkward tops, one for each team, and they
have to get on top and reach for the stars
that are hanging in the jungle. The first team to
(41:03):
completely balance the stars and themselves for five seconds wins
the elimination. If they you know, if the stars fall
off or if they fall off, they get a ten
second penalty until they're allowed to go back on again.
I thought, like, I've been very happy with the eliminations
this season. They're very even for any type of matchup. Yep. Ultimately,
(41:29):
for me, I think it was Corey being such a
bigger guy than Big Tea that this really was affecting
them every time they were trying to get momentum going.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Yeah, one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Also to the elimination point, from a competitive standpoint, I
think it's good. As you mentioned from an entertainment standpoint.
I mean, I was still on the edge of my
seat watching this. It was it explos But you don't
have that physical aspect when you do a season like this,
which is okay unless unless, which would be amazing. You
do like balls in or pole wrestling or something and
(42:04):
it's girls girls guys guys. You know that would be electric.
You could always do that, but it doesn't seem that
way this year.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
But we'll see.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
I hope they bring that. I mean, because man, I
mean you remember these I mean guy girl pair seasons
and you would have battles like that, like oh yeah,
we'll see what happens. But you're right, they have. They
have totally even the playing field. And I mean again
you talk about Adam and Steve and yeah they've beaten
maybe some not strong teams, but they've had to win
in a variety of different ways given the eliminations. So yeah,
(42:33):
it's been it's been fun.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
Look, they've beaten a couple of girl girl girl girl teams,
but I really thought that Ashley and Anissa could have
beat them.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
Yeah, speak getting rid of for Goggoles. Dude, I didn't
make any sense, but yeah, I'm totally with.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
You, you know, And and going back to that, like Anissa
is one of the most experienced and elimination of anyone
on the show. Like I really really thought that that
could have been the nail and Adam and Steves Coffin.
But when we have this elimination here and Actually and Dario,
(43:13):
they just are communicating really well. They they do a
great job together. You know, it is close with Corey
and Big Tea, but they you know, when they lose,
they reconcile Corey and I do think this was something
that really ate at Corey because I remember during thirty
nine he was getting a lot of hate about, you
(43:36):
know what what he had done to Big Tea, and uh,
you know, he's breaking down saying that it's his biggest
regret on doing the show. They seem like they're in
a better place, and Big t jokes that they're gonna
have a cocktail and everything will be fine. But Actually
(43:57):
and Daria protect their star. But before the end of
the episode, you know, we've been getting a couple of
scenes back at the house. Before the episode's end, Corey
talks to Amber. We've seen them be friends on other seasons,
and Corey's like, you know, I'm gonna miss you, but
(44:17):
you need to watch out for Veronica and Katie like
they were the ones who did this. It all circles
back to them, and we see it click in Amber's
head that it was Katie and v On orchestrating this vote,
(44:37):
and you know, we also see that Katie and Katie
and v are trying to rally the numbers next week
in the preview, and we get Ashley and Dario have
an a little conversation and closure, but they're both single,
so who the hell knows what will happen there?
Speaker 2 (44:56):
So yeah, yeah, I I don't know. I always like,
I'm like, oh, it's just gonna rekindle. It doesn't seem
like it.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Yeah, but who knows. But Katie and v are they're clocked,
you know they are, they are clocked at this point.
They know what is going to happen. Ah, well, I
(45:26):
think you know some of us definitely do it is
this uh, this moment of Katie and Veronica getting clocked
that they were the ones starting all the dramas, So, uh,
it'll be interesting to see what ends up happening. Uh
do Katie and Veronica get thrown in. Our team's going
(45:46):
to want to keep them around because they view them
as a weaker team. I do know that they caused
a lot of fun shenanigans this episode, so it could
be tough if they stick around for these other teams.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Because yeah, but I wonder are people gonna waste Are
people gonna waste a vote on them?
Speaker 1 (46:10):
Like, yeah, that's true too. It could be viewed as
wasting a vote. So yeah, very good point. But we'll
find out next week. Of course, we'll be back to
recap the Challenge All Starts five Rivals Episode seven next week.
