Serving God is a priviledge, but there are times in which it can put a monkey wrench in your plans. It can completely change your routine as such was the case with Mary. She was about 15 or 16 years old when the angel Gabriel paid her a visit. A visit that would change her life forever.

The angel called her highly favored and gave a prophetic word for the child to be born. Mary was going to carry in her womb Jesus. The Lord Jesus (God man) would be in her womb first as the word. Upon Mary accepting the word, it started to become flesh. (Luke 1:38)

In life, we cannot lose focus of God. God has a plan for each one of us. Sometimes, in fulfilling his plan, we may have to forsake things in our lives. Mary forsook her reputation when the religious leaders called Jesus a bastard (John 8:41) When you serve God, people will persecute and spread lies about you. It's part of the package.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Greetings. So Christian Corner Ministries greets you. In the name
of Jesus, we are delighted that you have joined us.
We pray that the worship and biblical teaching would help
and encourage you. Now, the next voice you will hear
is our own Pastor Caleb Santos.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. This is Pastor Caleb,
and I so happy to be with you and to
be able to fellowship with you and to share in
the word of God, the word of God that I
wanted to share with the focus. The main focus is
to be prepared. Preparation is keith. A lot of times

(00:52):
the Lord will have us in times of preparation, and
it's because he wants us to be alert and to
be able to maybe even stretch ourselves or do something
that may be hard in our flesh. And I want
to share some thoughts concerning Mary. Let's look at Luke

(01:13):
one six thirty five and in the sixth month, the
angel Gabriel was sent from God onto a city of
Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin expoused to a man
whose name was Joseph of the House of David. And
the virgin's name was Mary, and the angel came in

(01:34):
unto her and said, hell, thou that art highly favored.
The Lord is with thee blessed art thou women. And
when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,
and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this
should be? And the angel said, unto her, fear not Mary,
for thou hast found favor with God. Now notice an

(01:58):
angel appeared to married, and he gave her an unusual salutation,
and then he finished by saying, thou hast found favor
with God. And verse thirteen he finishes with saying, thou
hast found favor with God. But that's not all there
is to it. Let's keep on reading. Imagine that God

(02:19):
tells you that He's pleased with you. Imagine if the
angel of the Lord says that you have found favor
with God. When you found favor with God, you're in
for a bake surprise. You're in for a big blessing.
And let me tell you, God is a wonderful God
when he knows how to reward people. And when you
find favor with God, you are blessed. You are truly blessed.

(02:43):
Verse thirty one. And behold thou shalt conceive in thy
wound and bring forth a son, and shall call his
name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called
the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall
give unto him the throne of his father David. And
he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and

(03:06):
of his kingdom there shall be no end. Notice here
she found favor with the Lord. The Angel came and
gave her a word that she was going to conceive
a son, and started prophesying over the future of her son.
Let me tell you, mothers, mothers that are pregnant, mothers

(03:27):
that are expecting, make it a habit to prophesiede over
your child and the womb. Make it a habit to
speak the word of God over the child and the womb,
because let me tell you, when you do that, you
start to see the Lord bless you in ways that
you never before imagine. So it's a good practice that ladies,

(03:51):
especially ladies when you're pregnant, start to speak over your wounds,
start to prophesy over your daughter, over your son, start
to prophesy whatever words the Lord puts in your spirit.
And let me tell you, that's a good way to start.
And notice here says here verse thirty thirty four, then

(04:13):
said marry unto the angel, how shall this be? Seeing
I know not a man? She would That's a legitative legitlity,
a legitimate question, because she she you know it takes
two to tango. We know that. And she was about
fifteen years old when this angel came, and he says,
I don't know a man. In other words, she's saying,

(04:36):
I have not gotten married yet. How am I going
to have this this child? Verse thirty five. And the
Angel answered and said, unto her, the Holy Ghost shall
come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall
overshadow thee. Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born,
if THEE shall be sun, it shall be called the

(04:59):
Son of God, the Son of God. Amen. So the
Holy Spirit was going to overshadow her and allow her
to give birth. Amen, to give birth. And we're going
to keep on reading. We're going to keep on reading
verse thirty six. And behold that cousin Elizabeth, which she

(05:20):
had also conceived a son in her old age. And
this is the sixth month where her who was called Baron.
For with God nothing shall be impossible, and Mary said,
behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me
according to thy word, And the angel departed from her.
In other words, here was Mary. She could have been
like Zachariath in the chapter one of Luke. He was

(05:43):
full of doubt, and the angel caused him to be mute.
But look what she said. She said, behold the handmaid
of the Lord, be it unto me according to thy word. Amen.
So she received that word. And upon receiving that word. This,
receiving that word, that word started to become flesh flesh

(06:05):
until now it's just prophetic word. But when she said,
be it unto me according to that word, she received
that word. Let me tell you, when you have a
habit of receiving God's word, it starts to form, it
starts to take manifestation. You could receive. You start to
and it's a good practice to get into your room

(06:28):
and get to the place where you start meditating and
the promises of the Lord concerning who you are in
Christ and what belongs to you, that you are dead
with Christ, that you have the mind of Christ. You
say I've received that. In fact, when you pray before,
I'm hoping that you pray before your Bible study, make

(06:49):
a habit of praying Ephesians one, seventeen twenty three, Ephesians three,
fourteen twenty one, and lou and Colossians one, nine eleven,
and say, Lord, receive these blessings. I receive your spirit
of wisdom, revelation, and I thank you that you will
speak to me. And you'd be surprised you do that

(07:09):
for thirty days straight, you will start seeing revelation coming
back and left and right. It'll be coming to you
left and right. And notice here the angel appeared. She
was a little, she was a little you know, she
might have been afraid, but she was wondering about the saltation.
The angel winded up prophesying onto her. The angel winded

(07:32):
up saying that she had found favor with the Lord.
And the angel said that she was going to have
a son, a son, and this was a supernatural barrier
for supernatural miracle. And notice here this. I'm pretty sure
that at fifteen or sixteen years however, her age was,

(07:54):
she was going to get married with Joseph, and she
probably had plans to go maybe to a honeymoon, and
she had plans to uh spend time with Joseph, uh
spend time uh doing what married couples do, enjoy each other.
But there was a little bit of a monkey wrench
that came in. She was gonna have she was gonna

(08:17):
be pregnant. The Holy Ghost was gonna impregnant her. And
let me tell you, Joseph he heard this, and you
can't fold him for not believing because he started to
think she must have been fooling around. Because notice that
Joseph wanted to put her away privately, and he was

(08:37):
having doubts about even Mary, saying she must have fooled around.
She's just hired. I mean, think about it. If you men,
if your wife says I'm pregnant by the Holy Ghost
and she and you see her belly, that's hard to believe.
And see, Joseph, you can't blame him. It was hard

(08:57):
to believe and that and that miracle until God gave
him a dream and God said not to not to
put away Mary and to be able to accept her.
And you know, God, God started to deal with him.
God started to show him things. And let me tell you,

(09:18):
it took a lot of faith to go on with
this thing and knowing that eventually news was gonna come
throughout the city, throughout the people, throughout the community. And
look at what happened when Jesus faced the Pharisees. Jesus
was preaching the Word, and John Ain' forty one. He says, ye,
do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him,

(09:41):
we be not born of fornication. We have one father,
even God. In other words, they were calling him a bastard.
Imagine the religious leaders that were calling him a bastard.
I want to apologize for that sound. That's my seat creaking,
my computer chair. And imagine here you are going faithfully

(10:03):
to the son of God, doing the things that you
need to do, and he was called a bastard. They
didn't accept this birth, this supernatural birth. They didn't accept
Jesus as their savior, as their Messiah. They used the
reasoning thinking it was fornication. It was fornication. See word

(10:26):
came about. See the enemy. The enemy wanted to persecute
not only Jesus, but Marry and even possibly Joseph persecuting.
Let me tell you, people, and when people persecute you,
a lot of times, they'll misunderstand the purposes of God
in your life. They'll be judgmental, and that's what's happening

(10:46):
with these people. They were very judgmental. They were saying
Mary food around. She had Jesus out of wedlock and
we cannot accept his testimony. That was the word that
was going around, and it took a lot of guts
for Jesus to go on to do the word of
the Father, to proceed in love. What am I telling you.

(11:06):
I'm telling you is to be focused, to be prepared,
and to be able to be on call when the
Lord tells you to do something. Sometimes the Lord may
put impositions upon our time. He may impose upon our time.
He may tell us to do something that may be
hard on our flesh. But let me tell you there's
great rewards when you say, yes, Lord, I'll do it.

(11:29):
I'll do it because let me tell you, these are
the last days and God has a church in preparation,
God has all. I'm telling you, these are some exciting times.
So I want you to be focused today, hear the
world of the Lord. Whatever he tells you to do,
do it, and to be able to deal with persecution

(11:50):
when you get persecuted for the Lord, deal with it
because let me tell you, you're going to be misunderstood,
You're going to be persecuted, You're going to be light on.
And sometimes I have to admit I've been light on
by family, by my family, and I've been very defensive
and I blow up, and the Holy Spirit says, you
need to take it easy. You need to rejoice in persecution,

(12:14):
because let me tell you, when you rejoice in persecution,
miracles happen. So today, stay focused, be prepared. Whatever the
Lord tells you to do. If it needs to be inconvenient,
on your time, on your flesh, then I just pray
that God will give us all grace to do it. Amen,
because let me tell you, this was hard for Mary.

(12:34):
This was hard for Mary being fifteen years old and
having to put up with all these things, and you
got to really see and admire the faith that Mary had.
Let me tell you, and I thank God that this
is a testament for all of us to be focused,
to be prepared and be focused. So that's it for today.

(12:57):
God bless you. I pray that this thing may have
it inspired you and help you remember you have the
mind of Christ. We're here at the Christian Corner Ministry
to help you with prayer. So until then you have
the mind of Christ. Be blessed.
