Are you sorrowful? Has life's testings been hard on you? Remember your Independence Day with Christ. Rejoice. Speaker 1 (00:02):
Greetings. The Christian Corner Ministries greets you. In the name
of Jesus. We are delighted that you have joined us.
We pray that the worship and biblical teaching would help
and encourage you. Now, the next voice you will hear
is our own pastor, Caleb Santos.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. Happy
fourth July. Amen. I know a lot of you will
probably be with their with your family and friends and
doing some barbecue. Amen. That's that's all well and good.
But I wanna I want to use this analogy. Remember
when I was talking to you about analogies. Well, we're

(00:55):
going to bring this analogy to our own Independence Day,
and I want to encourage you be observant, look at
the natural and compare it with the spiritual, because you'll
find a wealth of prophetic insights when you start to
compare these things. Because our Lord Jesus, he was always

(01:16):
looking to compare something analytical, something in the natural and
bring it down to the spiritual. In fact, if you
I was talking to my wife about history and I
noticed that the Roman Empire lasted for about correct me
if I'm wrong, but I believe it was a thousand years,

(01:37):
maybe more a little more than a thousand years, but
I generally believed that the Roman Empire lasted a thousand years.
And when Hitler came up with the Third Right, which
is the Third Empire, he wanted to pattern it after
the Roman Empire. In fact, the Nazi salute is the
salute that they gave to Caesar. That Nazi salute, that

(01:58):
says High Hitler. It was the same salute that they
gave to Caesar. And let me tell you, it's history
tends to repeat itself. And Hitler wanted to have a
thousand year reign and with the Nazi party. But let
me tell you, Jesus brought it down in the Bible
and Revelation and he talked about his millennial kingdom. So

(02:22):
he compared something natural with the spiritual. And let me
tell you, it's wonderful when you could be observed, observed,
and when the Holy Spirit will talk to you about
the natural and compare it to the to the spiritual,
it's wonderful and that you could even glean some future
insights on your life. So I want to encourage you
be observed, be paying attention to things around you and

(02:45):
the natural and you'll find a wealth of things that
will really shock you and even amaze you. Amen, and
I want to talk to you about our own independence, Dame.
Let's look at And I'm not going to keep you lone,
because I know that you're probably wanting to plan for
your barbecue and being with the family. So I promise
I'm not going to be too long in this teaching

(03:08):
Psalms eighty nine fifteen. Psalms eighty nine, p. Fifteen. It
says here, Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound,
They shall walk o Lord in the light of thy continents.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound, They

(03:28):
shall walk o Lord and the light of thy continents.
And let's look at this other translationist the amplified classic
version blessed happy. When the Bible calls you bless it,
that means you're happy, fortunate to be envied. Are the
people who know the joyful sound, who understand and appreciate

(03:51):
the spiritual blessing symbolized by the feasts, They walk O
Lord in the light and favor of your continance. Now,
when you talk about when you talk about the feasts
of the Lord, I started to think about the feasts
of Trumpet. The feasts of Trumpet will really symbolize us

(04:11):
the coming of the Lord. Amen. And let me tell
you that's something that we should always be thinking about
when we think about our own independence day. Amen. Notice
here they walk me and you in the light and
favor of your contenance. Amen, your face shines on us.
We have the favor of the Lord. We have the

(04:32):
light of his guidance. Amen. We're protected by the light.
We walk in the light, and we live in the light. Amen.
And that's why. Let me tell you and this day,
if you're feeling kind of discourage, if you're feeling that
life has like all these trials and testing, has your
back against the wall, you need to celebrate you're in there,

(04:54):
if you are born again. You need to remember to
celebrate your Independence Day. Why, because it's just like the
fourth of July is a big event. People come and
celebrate the fourth of July with gunshots, with the parades
and with family picnic. Let me tell you our own
Independence Day happened when Jesus rose from the day at. Amen.

(05:18):
Let me share some insights here. Let's look at Let's
look at Colossians two fifteen Colossians two fifteen, And having
spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shoe of them, openly,
triumphing over them in it. See in the midst of hell,
when Jesus was suffering in the midst of hell. See

(05:39):
people think that Jesus only suffered in the cross. And
then he died, and that was it. He was laid
in the grave. But it didn't finish there. He had
to go to the depths of hell and pay for
you and me, and he went through tremendous pain. Amen.
But then afterwards he defeated the devil in his own domain.

(06:01):
He said enough, it is finished. He defeated Satan his
domain and made a show of them openly. He paraded
Satan right in the midst of hell. He paraded sickness
right in the midst of hell. He paraded financial poverty
right in the midst of hell. He paraded financial lack

(06:21):
right in the midst of hell. He paraded spirit of oppression, oppression,
spiritual oppression, and torment right in the midst of hell. Amen,
he made a show of them openly. He sat in
his own parade. Let me tell you. When Jesus was
with his disciple. He would talk about that he was
going to get crucified, but he was going to rise

(06:43):
up again. He said it time and time again, and
the disciples, they kind of were tired of hearing about it.
But when Jesus died, they were crying, and they were
crying the blues. They thought everything was done, everything was finished.
But Jesus had told them that he was going to
rise again, and he did just that. He rose again
from the dead. He defeated death, powers and principalities in hell,

(07:06):
and he rose again. Not only did he raise again,
but he brought the saints with him. And let me
tell you, they came out of their graves and they
appeared unto many. Can you imagine John the Baptist who
was decapitated and appearing onto his relatives with his head on.
Let me tell you these are what is called signs
and wonders. You don't hear much about it being preached,

(07:27):
but that's what happened. You look at your bible. The
graves were open and the saints appeared unto many. Let
me tell you this was a big event. This was
our independence day, let me tell you. And Jesus is
coming back. That's what we need to be prepared for.
The joyful sound, Amen, And the joyful sound is when

(07:48):
we go to church. We should be joyful. We should
be like David. David said, I was glad when they
said let us go into the House of the Lord.
That's a joyful sound. Amen, Praise the Lord. We should
always be rejoicing. We should always be thanking God for
what He's done. Let me tell you I have a
lot to thank God for because back in eighty eight

(08:09):
when I got shot, I should have been dead. But
God protected me. I saw His Angel protected protect me.
And let me tell you that's something that I'll always
be grateful for the Lord that he protected me. And
let me tell you that I celebrate my own independence
that yes, I'm happy to be an American. Yes, I'm

(08:30):
happy to celebrate the fourth of July. Yes, I'm happy
about that the freedoms, and I served in the Navy,
and I would do it again. But let me tell
you I'm happy to be free in Christ Jesus, free
from the law of sin and death, and to have
His grace that I don't have to be tied to
a bunch of ordnances and laws, that I have His grace. Amen,

(08:52):
praise God that even when I miss it, He's there
to help me and lift me up. Amen, Praise God.
I have my own in the appendence day, and you
should be celebrating your own And if you are born again,
you should celebrate your own Independence day because let me
tell you, he promised to turn your sorrows into joy, Amail.

(09:12):
So if you're going through something, leave it in the
hands of the Lord. Leave it in the hands of
the Lord. Let him work through it. And let me
tell you, he promised to turn your sorrows into joy.
The Bible says, rejoice in the Lord, and he will
give you the desires of your heart. So rejoice. This
is your Independence Day. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

(09:33):
So I hope I added a little something to your
Independence Day. And I just want to let you know
that I love you and the Lord. I'm here to
