Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon. Welcome on the Culture News.
My name is David sur we Row and I have
the pleasure to have to don'tlight how to redeo the
Culture News and many of the platforms wonderful musicians from
the UK. We say hello to all our friends over there.
The name of this great musician is a Vohe, A
voe her. Let me spell it out for you. It's
(00:21):
a v o hwe and then avover her it's a
v o h er. He has now released a new
piano release called Research from twelve V twelve V exactly,
and we are so glad to have him today on
the show. A vo Her. How are you today?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I'm doing very well, David and more a pleasure. Thank
you so much for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Thank you for being with us. So the first question,
I would love to know more of yourself. Can you
tell us who are you, where are you from? And
what do you do exactly?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Well, I'm a composer, and I suppose people would loosely
say an artist from the United Kingdom. Music has been
my life for ever since I was a child. I
started composing at nine and I live in the southeast
of England currently, and I also spend quite certain amount
of time in Spain and obviously for recordings are based
(01:19):
in London.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
In what have you done so far?
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Well this year, I've been the big launch for this
new project of Ohia Voha, and I've launched my own
record label, Avo Records, and I'm releasing multi genre, much
against certain industry advice because I'm combining it all under
one label and this new artistic project that is going
to incorporate multi genre music, dance floor anthems, classical music,
(01:45):
pop music, chill out music. It's really my whole creative
life's work that is now going to take form in
this project. It's very exciting to me and to have
the freedom and creative control under my own label is
absolutely great. We launch on your Independence Day, fourth of
July and have had four releases out already. The piano
(02:06):
album twelve V, which you've kindly picked up on and
discussing with me about, has just gone out on the
thirtieth of last month and is making traction internationally, which
I'm thrilled about. And on the thirtieth of every month
there will be another release a single out from that album,
and I'm currently working on other dance music releases that
will also be coming out shortly. And it's also a
(02:30):
complete multi genre and my creative hub outlet for as
I say, a lot of my life's work. And I've
also got a book that I've finished which is a
fiction thriller and that will also be coming out hopefully
next year sometime.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
And congratulations. Indeed. Then now let's talk about this new
Research from twelve E. Can you tell us more about it?
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Please? Yes, yes, yes, Well, it's a piano solo and
it's very emotive. I mean, the whole concept of the
album of twelve V is it's twelve emotional currents. The
twelve VEE stands for twelve voltages and each one is
expressed as a piano solo. As I explained, release monthly
throughout the next twelve months. Each piece for me captures
(03:11):
a distinct emotional state. It's almost like a charge or
a surge of feelings. And hence the first release Research,
it's a personal voltage that I've lived through and I
feel that I'm expressing certain aspects of emotional significant things
in my own life. And whilst Research starts in a
way that it's minimalistic. It's melodic and it's almost repetitive
(03:34):
and slightly transferred to start, whereas it does also express
and build up and there's emotional intensity until there's the
virtuosso section in there where I'm actually paying homage to
the dear wonderful master Rachmaninoff and there's a little trigger
point in there where I'm sure the listeners will pick
up on it, but it's basically as an almost dedication
(03:55):
to him as well, and I'd say it's almost a
little bit in the Liberachi style of taking the concept
of another great master composer and just adding a little
finest touch of that. But it essentially is an emotional
journey and that's what the whole concept of twelve of
these fands for for me.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
And that is a beautiful I love to hear musicians
talking about their beautiful music, a wonderful, wonderful track. Again,
before we start to play your track and we started
to say goodbye to each other, what is next for you.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
At the moment. The next thing that we'll be coming
out is the next dance release. I've had one out
of the moment, Baho la Luna, a Spanish one which
has been doing very well amongst the club scene at
the moment and internationally, which is great news. This one
is a nineteen nineties inspired again with a very classical
element and multi layered textures in it, but based really
(04:48):
on the sort of sound of the nineteen nineties, the
club sound. But it's very epic in its theatrical nature,
and I'm very excited about that. We're just finalizing that
at the moment, and then in the mid future I'm
hoping to coordinate some audio visual concerts and live touring
as this project develops, Ground and Garners further support.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
And we will be there definitely for you to promote
you and to promote your beautiful music. Ladies and gentlemen.
My name is David, so we wrote and I had
the pleasure to have the one for our musician her.
Let me spet it out for you. A v o
