Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon, Welcome on the Culture News.
My name is David, so we row and have the
pleasure to have today on Lightheart Video on the Culture
News a wonderful, wonderful British artist from London, the UK.
We say hello to all our wonderful friends in the UK.
The name of this great British singer, songwriter, musician and

(00:22):
filmmaker is Louis Naggs. Let me spell it for you,
It's k Nags and he has released a new track
called Fireball Fireball, and indeed it is a real.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Fireball, this great new track. We're so glad to play.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
But you don't have to go anywhere else because not
only we're going to play it, but we're so lucky
to have Lewis Naggs on the phone with us.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Louis, how are you today?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Hello, David, I'm doing very well. Thank you for the
very kind and wonderful introduction. I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Of course, it's my pleasure, so thank you so much
for being with us. So we would you'd be so
kind to eat used to set yourself? Tell us who
are you, how did you start music? And also who
are your music influences for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah. So my name's Lewis and I'm born and raised
in London. My mother is from Wales and my dad
was from Los Angeles actually, so yeah, naturally my music,
I've always been making it, and there's always been music
in the household. Started off playing piano originally and then
moved to guitar when I was about eleven, just in
time for the kind of skate scene of the US

(01:31):
to infiltrate the UK. And you know, from listening to
the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtrack, everything from Rage Against
the Machine to Bruce Springsteen, that's all my repertoire. And
I learned those songs when I was pretty young and
that influenced a lot of what I make. Really, so
quite an eclectic mix of music, but I guess that
maybe comes across in my song, perhaps not as much

(01:52):
on Fireable, but I have quite a range of styles.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
But yeah, and that's beautiful, beautiful me.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
So now fast forwarding to this great new track of yours, Fireball.
What is the story of that song and what is
your usual process of making music?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
For sure?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Thank you so much for the kind words.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Fireball.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Fireball was a song that came along from just feeling
a little bit disheartened with the state of the world
at the moment, and just feeling a little bit like
wanting to find a simpler state of being, really, whether
that's on Earth or if there's some kind of afterlife,
or you know, just kind of contemplating what it means
to live and how to try and find some kind

(02:36):
of serenity. And I think, you know, I was looking
at the sun while I wrote it. I was in Japan,
I wasn't feeling too well. I had a bit of
a flu that I was recovering from and staring at
the sun, which is our big fireball in the sky.
Kind of wrote it about that, really, and a sense
of piece that I found from knowing that one day
that will burn it out, and you know, we'll all

(02:58):
find our piece one way or another. And I think
a song that sums up that was needed. And it's
amazing to see it connecting with people online and on
radios across the world. Really, so thank you very much
for playing it and asking me about it now.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Of course, it's a beautiful song. We really love fireballs.
So before we start to say goodbye to each other,
what are your next projects?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
What is next coming up for you?

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, so it's exciting. I've got quite a few shows
coming up in early twenty twenty six, which I'll be
announcing soon, so I'll be touring around and pretty NonStop
after there. But before Christmas, have another single coming out
as well after Fireball. It's called Never Say Never, and
it's coming out in early November, which is the kind
of follow up single from Fireball. Really, Fireball's quite a

(03:46):
chilled song of just me and my guitar. I recorded
it in one full take in the studio. Never Say
Never's the next song and it's a bit more full band,
so I'm excited. And then we have another Christmas single
out before Christmas. So it's a lot lots going on
NonStop now, really and excited to move into twenty twenty

(04:07):
six with big plans for touring across the world.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
And indeed we will be definitely supporting you and uploading
you for everything you do.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Before we start to say goodbye to.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Each other, is there a last word you want to
say to our audience or anything else you.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Want to share that we wouldn't have spoken about.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I think I just want to say a big thank
you to everyone who's listening, and for anyone who wants
to check out more stuff online. You can follow my
name if you type it in. It's quite easy to
find me because my second name is a bit of
an interesting one, I guess. So yeah, big thanks for listening,
and keep an eye out for what we're doing and
what's coming next, because there's going to be a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
More and we will be there.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
As I said, we'll be there to support you always
for this great song that you have done, in great
more music that you have coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
I'm sure, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
My name is David, so I had the pleasure we
have to downt IHEARTRADI on the Colture News a wonderful,
wonderful artist from London. We say hello to our friends there.
The name of this artist is, of course Louis Naggs.
Louis Knaggs one more time is knabg S.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It has released a new.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Track called Fireball, which we are playing right now. You're
already starting to listen to it. Stay tuned with us
with more music, but right now it's Fireball.
