Speaker 1 (00:26):
Well the time you are listening to this podcast, that
means Thanksgiving is the next day. And I'll give you
the warning right now. If you're listening to this podcast
while what the hell was that? All this spit came out? Hell,

(00:47):
hollo out in the bike? What's going on? Who is that? Anyway?
I always try to say, I always try to say,
if you are listening to this podcast while you are cooking,
probably turned it off in case you have little ones
in the background. Anyway, Podcast episode three one more. Oh

(01:14):
my goodness, gracious, the Chicago Bears almost gave me another
heart attack this week. They did it again. They won
the game in a close fashion, and once again, I've
recorded this podcast before the Bears play on Sunday because
I think this would probably be the thing that finishes

(01:35):
me off. It takes me out completely, says I'm done.
I've done is the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Bears game
versus Aaron Rogers, and I can't have that happen. I
can't have that happen. So what I'm imagining is they

(01:57):
go down the field, it's a close game, are ready
to win, and then they give the ball back to
Aaron Rodgers and like he's done in the past. He
ruins all the fun for a Bears fan like myself,
and then that's my heart attack. Yeah, I did it again.
I can't believe it. I really can't believe it. They
are looking great and as a Bears fan, we are

(02:20):
used to losing those close games. We're used to losing
those close games, whether it was a Cairo Santos field
goal that went through, but we're used to like going
all the way to the left or getting blocked or
something crazy. So we're winning games. We beat the Vikings
or seven to three. If we could beat the Steelers
this week and Aaron Rodgers, maybe that's the final, you know,

(02:43):
final call of the culture. You know, the culture shift
is finally there. If they beat Aaron Rodgers this week
at Soldier Field. And I'm doing my routines. I know
as Bears fans, As Bears fans, we have our routines,
Like if you ever watch the game with family, Like
when I was growing up, we used to watch with
a family. Everybody have to twitch, like seats on the
couch or somebody who was maybe in the kitchen and

(03:05):
getting a snack and they're about to come down and
the Bears were good, they would have to stay in
the kitchen. And that's what I do every week. Every week.
I have done the same thing since they've been winning.
I wake up on Sunday, I get the emporium. I'm
all ready to go. I have a haircut, you know.
And I don't go to a haircut place. I have
a you know, at home. I have a haircut at home.

(03:26):
I put on my Chicago Bears hoodie and it's game
time and my Lucky bracelet my daughter made. That's all
Beers colors, and I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go.
That's my routine. What's your routine? Let me know, all right,
let me know. You could email me if you want
the Daily Life of Frank at gmail dot com. I
would love to hear it. I love to hear it,

(03:47):
love to hear it. Yeah. So it's a routine. And
even though it's gonna be almost near sixty on Sunday,
I'm still wearing that fucking hoodie because I can't. I
can't be the reason why this team loses. I can't.
I can't be. I can't be, can't be that guy.
I can't you know, Oh he didn't he wore a

(04:09):
jacket or he wore a T shirt instead, and then
they lose by forty. I can't. I can't have that
on my conscious. But I got payback on my son,
I did. I got payback on him. Uh huh. I
got payback on him because he's been scaring me all
the time and he does it out of nowhere, and
he's probably gonna do it right now, and I'm gonna go, ah,
you hear me scream and he does it. So I

(04:31):
was like, I'm gonna get back at him. I'm gonna
get back at him. So I made this whole thing up.
We were sitting down in the room and we heard
a car alarm outside. All right, we heard a car
alarm outside, and I said, that's okay, it's nothing. And
then I thought, oh my god, I can use that
to scare him. And how I scared him was I
told him that that the car alarum outside. You know,

(04:54):
the story goes, if you hear a car alarm nearby,
get up out of bed or whatever you're doing, and
lock those doors because he's nearby and someone maybe you
not to my son, but you know, in general, maybe
you are the one who's about to die, and I
played that off for a very long time, and he

(05:15):
he did the thing like all kids do when like
they're scared, but they're you know, act like they're not scared. Man.
So I decided to play a car alarm downstairs in
the basement and he freaked out. He freaked out, and
I laughed so hard that I almost blacked out. I

(05:37):
almost blacked out. And there's only another time in my
life that I laughed so hard that I almost blacked out,
and that was during a Kevin Hart comedy special and
he made a joke. I can't say it because that's
that's even that's even too journey for this podcast, but
he said it, and I laughed so hard, almost blacked out.

(05:57):
My wife's like, my god, are you okay? Are you okay?
In this instant when he freaked out, and he was
trying to listen, like because I played it, and he's
like listening to his speaker of a speaker is making
that noise. He was trying to like listen to his
like anything, his computers, my computer making the noise. And
then he realized it was a car alarm and then
he freaked out. It was great, It was absolutely probably

(06:18):
one of the proudest moments as a dad in my
entire life, making my son almost wet his pants. That
was awesome. I enjoyed it. But you know, speaking of that,
I am going to be releasing in next year some
short scary stories. So I've always always loved writing. I've

(06:38):
always loved, you know, that creative side of things. And
I'm gonna be releasing some of these short scary stories.
And one is the Carl Alarm Killer, one is Bubbles
the Clown, and another one it's called Patrol Monster. Very
scary stuff, so I can't wait. I don't know if

(07:00):
it's gonna be very scary to you, but it's scared
the shoot out of me when I thought of this
idea and started to dabble down some notes, dabbles that
even the fuck dabble dabble down some notes. So yeah,
I'm excited to be releasing that next year at some
point and uh, you know, able to uh you know,
give my creativity and and uh, you know, write some stuff.

(07:24):
I love writing, I always have, So I'm excited and
maybe there are some even some chances that might shape
itself into a podcast. But speaking of creativity, I got
to give my kids kudos, my son and my daughter.
They are all the creativeness from me and my wife.

(07:49):
My wife is very creative, she's very creative. Uh, but
my kids when it comes to like, you know, I
have the emporium downstairs, and we have a light stuff
that goes off on the bear score a touch on
and music plays and and and all those kind of
things like, you know, making the game day feel like
you're you're even though you're at home, you're going to
the event. There's food, there's music, it's everything. And my

(08:12):
kids are like that exactly. And my son and my
daughter both do those things. My son came up with
this crazy, awesome idea called Cozy Nights. Crazy, crazy, crazy,
I don't even know if crazy is the word. I
was trying to be cool there. It's crazy. I did
it sound cool. I did it sound cool, But it

(08:34):
was an awesome idea. And what we did was what
he did was he and my daughter they set up
the the emporium the basement with playing kids and pillows
and they had music and there was like uh fireplace
streaming and it was just awesome. And they had lights
that were you know, match the the the atmosphere and

(08:55):
it was really really cool, and we watched Home alone
and it was one of the best nights, not just
because the family was hanging out, just to see, uh,
you know, all the all the fun and and everything
that my kids we were doing and knowing that that
comes from you and your creativity and stuff and them
picking up on that and just you know, makes me

(09:16):
a proud, proud proud dad. Proud dad. I can't take
a sip of water because for some reason I'm gonna
split up again. I don't know what's going on here
A lot what Sorry? Uh, this podcast can be called
sound effects today. Oh my cat. I'll tell you what

(09:37):
I'm not is I'm not a very well I am,
and I'm not. I'll explain a cat dad, proud of
a cat dad, proud cat. Well, there's part of me
that's proud to be a cat dad, and there's other
part that I'm not proud, and I'm gonna explain. So
I'm gonna go with the proud part first. If the
bears don't kill me first, it's going to be It's

(09:59):
going to be those cats. I'll tell you why. So
there is a neighborhood cat a wandering cat in the neighborhood.
He has a home, but he refuses to go to
that home because he likes to be outside. Now that's okay,
that's cool with me. But this cat, he's trying to
pick fights with my cats. And it happened in the summer.

(10:24):
What happened was he came up to the window and
I hissed that, you know, the cats hissed that Nemo.
Nemo ran off because he was so scared, and Moose
like did a you know, he jumped seventy six feet
in the air and he went to that window. He's like, fight, fight, fight.
He was ready to stick up for his little bro,
a little bro. So this cat has found his way back.

(10:47):
Is final, the way back. After that incident, he was
gone and now he's coming back. He's coming back and
poured Nemo. He locked eyes with Nemo like a big bully,
A big bully cat. Can't trust those wandering cats. Uh
and uh. He's tried to start and Nemo screeched and
then he ran away and big Moose came flying to

(11:11):
the window and he's like, you leave him alone, bitch.
I don't know if we say it like that, but
he stuck up for Nemo, and he would think at
that time the incident is over. No, that cat came
back again the next day and Nemo made a screech.
My wife said that she has never heard almost killed

(11:33):
my wife almost She almost say it was that, And
I wish we had at that point, I was like, oh, man,
I wish we had some kind of like ring camera
or something, because that would have been funny to see
this cat and then my wife scream. It would have
been a whole thing. I would have laughed for days.
But came back and this time my wife went to

(11:53):
you know, Nemo made sure he was okay. I went
to Moose petted him, and she's like, shoe a shoe, cat,
don't bother them, and the cat went off. But yeah,
this cat is trying to pick fights, trying to pick
fights with Nemo and Moose, and yeah, I tell you,
but it's really good. And it's very proud to be
a cat. Dad. When you see the big bro Moose

(12:17):
stick up for a little bro Nemo. Here is where
not so proud of a cat dad. Okay, so Nemo,
orange cat, and if you have an orange cat, you
know they tend to be a little bit of troublemakers.
They tend to be troublemakers. They do. They do. So

(12:38):
Nemo likes to mess with me and try to kill
me in via the form of a cardiac arrest, because
it's been a little bit of different weather lately. It's
been in the you know, we have days we're in
the forties, but we have a lot of days we're
now in the upper fifties. So I'd keep that big
door open in the bedroom and will jump on the

(13:01):
screen and they'll jump off of it, and I'm like what.
And then today he found himself outside almost on the balcony,
but in the screen, so he was in there like
a little you know, the the crevice of the door,
and all of a sudden I looked and I looked,
and there's Moose looking out the window like what the fuck? Ah?

(13:26):
And he was and I had to grab him. I
had to grab him. I had to get him. I
had to save him. I'm like, all right, I got yet,
and he's like I think that's what he said. It
was more like, ah, like I rooted his fun and
uh yeah, I got him. And the funniest thing about
that was, here's where the big brother comes out. When
he was walking away, most took his one pot and

(13:47):
like slapped him in the back of the head, like,
don't fucking do that again. All right, don't do that again.
But yeah, But Nemo is also the one where we
had a screen in our kid's bedroom and all of
a sudden, here a boom. I'm like, what, well, I
wasn't home, but that that's what the sound would have been, like, ah,
I would have made that noise, ah, because Nemo pushed

(14:11):
the screen out out of their bedroom window. So he's
a little bit of a troublemaker, a little mouldly troublemaker.
Cute as can be, but he is a troublemaker, not
like Moos. Moose is not that that that of a troublemaker.
Moose is a is a good, good dude, except he
likes to knock off cups and water bottles. So if
you have a cup that doesn't have a lid on it,

(14:31):
put a lid on it, because he will not get over.
He will not get over, I'll tell you, you know.
And all this is going on and I'm trying to, like,
you know, uh, you know, figure out some things, like,
for instance, can you just lose weight in your nose.

(14:52):
Here's here's my thing. I got a pair of glasses, right,
and I'm fat. We all know that. Look at me,
I'm fat, just to be honest. But my glasses, and
they haven't done this as much, are like sliding off
my face. And I'm like, oh my god, what kind
of cruel joke is that? What kind of cruel joke
is the fact that my whole body is not losing

(15:17):
weight even though I've keeping my sugars and not eating
as you know much as I used to intact, And
the only body part that I'm losing weight is my nose?
What the fuck is that? With that? Only my nose
is losing weight? Everything else, No, I gotta go up

(15:39):
three pant sizes, but jesus, I'm gonna have to go
but glasses size because you know, it's like the reverse effect. Yeah,
so yeah, I don't know. So if you're a doctor,
please let me know. O. And this is actually good transition.
I know how I was gonna transition into this, but
I'm kind of excited that I am. Thanksgiving is upon us, Yes,

(16:02):
Thanksgiving is upon us. Can I have some sound effects,
you know, like a pretty doll? I'm looking forward to it. Thanksgiving.
We're heading to my mom and Dad's very excited for Thanksgiving.
Gonna eat my weight in Turkey. I'm excited. I'm excited.
I get to watch the parade in the morning and

(16:22):
Macy's Day parade, and then go to mom and Dad
to watch a lot of football and you know, eat,
eat some food and just have a good time with
family and laugh. And I love Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one
of those holidays where you don't have to buy any
gifts and the real focus is on family, you know.
So I'm very excited. I'm I'm I'm excited, and you know,

(16:45):
hoping that you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving too, because
you know, it's it's it's good. It's good to be
around your friends or your family or your loved ones,
or if you were having Turkey Day by yourself, enjoy it,
enjoy it, enjoy everything everything, enjoy. Thanksgiving is here. I

(17:11):
can't wait. And I kind of want to take a
serious note to end this podcast this week, and if
I start crying, that's I apologize in advance. So last Thanksgiving,
on Thanksgiving itself, we lost my father in law known
as Pops, and I just wanted to kind of take

(17:34):
a moment because I don't think I you know, I
think the way that the podcast schedule was, I don't
think I had it there was. It was a lot
going on, but I just wanted to say he was
an awesome guy, an awesome man. I will tell you

(17:55):
I've got a lot of my my my way I
do business from him, the way I, you know, present
myself away, I go above and beyond the way I
approach things, get everything through him. And he was and
I've said this before in this podcast, it was like
having a second dad and just like having a second

(18:16):
mom too, because they were. I was very close to him,
and all I wanted to say was BOP's love you
miss you every day, every single day because what I
wouldn't what I wouldn't go for right now, some of

(18:38):
that conversations we used to have sometimes over a glass
of scotch to talk about business, how things are going,
and what I wouldn't give everything in the world to
get some of that business advice from you again and
just laugh and and just just talk to you. But

(19:00):
I know you're in a better place and you're with Mom,
and we will, you know, not to get to that
religious side of things. But I know we will see
each other again. So what I'm trying to say on
this note is a hug your mom, Hug your dad,

(19:26):
Enjoy your time with family, Enjoy your time with people
you love, because we never know, We never know. I
could I could walk out of this podcast right now
and get hit by a truck, and now more than likely
more likely of the truck will probably have a dent
in it, and I would survive. But what I'm saying

(19:49):
is when I said this last week, there's so much
hate in this world. We got we just gotta love
each other, We gotta respect each other, we gotta, we gotta,
you know, be with our family, be with our friends,
and you know, just just keep pushing all that love
out because we need it. We need it. So make

(20:12):
sure this Thanksgiving well. While you have your uncle who's
talking about Trump, or if you have an aunt who's
talking about Joe Biden or whatever it is, it's family.
It's family. You guys, have a great Thanksgiving, have an
awesome Thanksgiving. And I will see you back here next time.

(20:35):
And I can't fucking believe it, but it will be
December already. Have a good one. I'll talk to you
soon Bye.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
