before we get into this NFL talk your boy going
down and road.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Man, Hey, yay road full of loop and baby Yeah man,
Diddy flipper slope man.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I told Lincoln. Lincoln was like, holy Diddy. Yeah man,
I mean apparently it's been thirty years on making man
just dirt. Like, I mean, the stuff he's been indicted
on so huge, you know, allegedly the human trafficking m hm,
(02:22):
the weapons, all kinds of stuff that like they just like, man,
just when you're worry about you being your wife and
sending people of the river, like that's small potatoes. We got,
we got some other stuff to handle. So I can't
say I'm shocked, right yea. But yeah, man, I mean
(02:47):
I know you and I know your history, so I
know how you feel about Diddy. So like, but think
about when we think about the major players and the
major faces and hip hop in our era in the
(03:09):
in the nineties, in the early two thousands, the major
four faces are either not here with us anymore or
they're either already are or about to be facing like
(03:30):
another life. Like between Chug Diddy, Tupac and Big m
It is like like the eighteen year old me couldn't
imagine this, right, So I mean, I'm I mean, if
everything is true, I don't feel one slither of sympathy
(03:52):
for him. But you know, like the eighteen year old
me again, when they ever thought that none of these
dudes would be in a position to still be relevant
right now?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Right?
Speaker 1 (04:08):
So that's kind of sad for my childhood, in my
young daughterhood. But man, it's serious for Diddy, man.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
It is it is, bro And like you said, I
really yeah, I don't really care too much for Diddy,
but I mean he didn't make good music and definitely
an African American. Man, I just hate for this stigma
to be to be tied to him, you know. I
just hate for him to go go this way. You know.
(04:37):
But if you did it, you did it.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yeah, I mean, nobody do it for him, right, I
mean a whole lot of other people did a lot
of stuff for him, but not this, right. But yeah, man,
shout out to Diddy and his lawyers and itself made
all them people. They all need shot. So yeah, man,
(05:04):
with no am here, I want to talk about one thing,
and I want you to talk about it in olse
in olse instead how about them Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Mm hmm, thank god they got mopped out there.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Man, the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
That bad?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Mh Or are the Saints that good?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Wow? That's a good question. I don't know. I thought
the Cowboys had a pretty good product they were putting
out on the field. But with that question being asked,
or the Browns that bad? Because as good as good
(05:54):
as the Cowboys look week one, that's how you know
good the Saints look against the cow Boys week two? Right?
So I'm like totally perplexed about it, like who who
are the Cowboys? And both of the more who are
the Saints?
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Right? And you put it that way?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Ship?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Who auld the Browns?
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Right?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
And I mean we're going even deeper. Who the Jacks?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I mean, ain't complaining that they want to bad as
they want to be, but uh yeah. But again this
leads to this question, what do you know that you
know after week two?
Speaker 2 (06:45):
What do I know? I know? What do I know?
I know? I want to say I know, I know.
I don't want to leave Patrick Mahons with a chance
to win the game. Yea, and the wayneing seconds and
the Wayne moments. I don't want to get that got
(07:08):
the ball. He has that same mistake of the far
and the and the Rogers and the Manning and the Brady.
I mean he has he has. He has it for
a while, but he keeps proving it time and time again. Man.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, absolutely, And regardless of who his weapons are, whether
there's a lack of weapons out there. And you know,
people complain about the refs, I get it, but you're
the best in the game. You go get the benefit
of the doubt all the times. And that's in any sport,
(07:42):
all the time. All the time. People say the same
bottle lebron They said the same bout Mike Mike right right, right,
But you're gonna get that. You know, when Mike was
out for two years, Elijah wouldn't got the benefit of that,
Like it just happened that guy. You get that.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
You know.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
The best I can say is is go out there
and beat him. But you're right, if you give him
a chance at the end of the game, he's gonna
make you pay.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
He gonna make you pay. Man. But while we're on
the chief, yo is I mean, is Travis Travis Kelsey
playing yeah to catches the last two weeks.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Right, And I think a lot of that. I mean,
of course he's getting older. But two, I think a
lot of it is they're trying to incorporate different weapons
into that offense, you know, with Worthy and Rashi Rice
and you know man Hollywood Brown when he's back healthy again.
(08:42):
So I do think it's smart on them if that's
the case, because he can't be your only option now
now that Pacheco's hurt and out up with.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
The eight weeks yeah six eight yeah, yeah, So it's.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Gonna be interesting to see how that affects their overall
offense because the ability to run the ball that he's
given them, it's kind of, you know, made it a
more well rounded offense. So I'm not quite sure you
want well this cast of weapons. If you want Mahomes
(09:21):
dropping back fifty times.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
A game, not at all? Yeah, on a breakod basis.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
So yeah, but Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes have kind
of moved into that. They'll checking Brady Rambles. I ain't
gonna bet against.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Him right right, And I like I like the back up,
you know, the rookie running back. Still, I do like him.
He did fumble last week, but he's a hard nose runner.
I think he runs a four four, he about six
one six two. Then they side Kareem Hunt. He already
knows the offense. I think they're gonna have a run game.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yeah, they still have able to Scots still there. I mean,
I mean I don't even remember, Like, yeah he was,
I thought so too. We'll find out some Yeah, he
ain't worth googling.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Right now, not at all, nor rostering on your fantasy team.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Absolutely right. And you mention your fantasy I know you're
a big fantasy guy. Give me two studs and two
duds so far and fantasy.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Oh man.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Total stud Ava Kamara.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Avam Kamara been a monster.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
I think he had a fifty point game this past Sunday,
four touchdowns, one hundred yards Russian like eighty yards receiving
total total total monster game, a chain from Miami. He's
been a stud man. He's been catching, he's been running,
he's been receiving. And you know you give the guy creed.
(11:00):
He's out of there, right so, oh, I know you
said too for them to get one more. David Carr
has been an absolute stud as right as as of
right now, he's the number one fantasy quarterback in points.
And I really want to see who the Saints are.
I want to see this so I like him? Does
We're not getting a lot out of Derrick Henry. You know,
(11:22):
I personally thought they were going to give him the ball,
not thirty times a game, but at least twenty, you know,
eighteen to twenty. They're not giving him that. So he
but he still he's still giving you double digits. He's
just not He just won't be Derrick Henry of old.
You know that they're not going to give him that
many touches. So I'm going to put him in the
dug category. Let me think of another person I'm just
(11:47):
thinking about. Let me think I'm thinking of someone early.
Oh shit, Travis Kelsey. He's been his ADP is his
average draft position is probably third fourth front the latest
and said, over the last past two weeks, he's given
us probably a maximum of four Fantasy points.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
That's complete dug. Yeah, absolutely. How about Trevor.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Lawrence modest man. I think he has three touchdowns the
last I mean these first two games, so or is
it two touchdowns? He? I mean average numbers, man. I
think he had like thirteen week one, like twelve week two.
So haven't been great, But we don't have any quarterbacks
(12:33):
that's pulling up stellar numbers other than I said, David
Derek Carr. It's Derek, right, Derek, which one of the
Yeah Derek, Yeah, Derek Carr. He's putting up like I said,
he's putting a really good numbers. Jalen Hurts pretty modest
and uh well, Jaylor Hurts pulling up pretty good numbers.
But other than that, I'm trying to think of a
(12:56):
quarterback that's putting up huge numbers. I can't think of anyone.
Josh Allen had a great week Week one, he does
it out week two. Right, Well, it's pretty been pretty
modest on the quarterback playing.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Okay, cool man? I what I know after week what
I know? I know after week two? I don't. I'm
not saying this as a team and what their expectations
are going to be. But Minnesota's defense is for real. Yeah,
(13:35):
I mean it's hard to make that entire forty nine
ers offense look confused most of the game. Pretty either
was either dumping off or he didn't know where to
go with the ball because that Minnesota defense is And
shout out to Brian Flores Man, that dude is a genius.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, agreed, and I.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Hate that he was, you know, walked away from my Steelers,
But I mean he got a DC job, so I
can't be mad at it.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Mhm.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
But he got he's got some players, but he's got
a bunch of dudes that you know, most people wouldn't
recognize by name, right right, So you know Andrew Van Ginkel,
n Blake Cashman, like he's putting dudes in position to
make play so out to the floor as man in
(14:34):
that defense they look for.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Real, right, I mean pivot. Since you brought the forty
nine Ers game, I do want to mention Christian McCaffrey.
He's heard a lot of fantasy owners missing the first
five six games of the season, which I knew. I
knew it was that year because he always has a
great year in the year where he's banged up, and
(14:56):
like I said, he's been he's gonna I mean, he
may finish strong, but I just figured that this would
be an injury plague year for him, so I definitely
stayed stayed off of him.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah, and you know, I mean he may pay dividends
for somebody down.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
The road, He may down down stretch. Yeah. Yeah, they
definitely gonna hold on to him, he's too valuable. Yeah,
he's a walking thirty thirty point game guy. So yeah,
no doubt.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Cool man, let's pick these games for Week three and
m hmm, right off jump. On Thursday night, the Patriots
travel to play the Jets as Jets on Thursday night,
(15:45):
who you got?
Speaker 3 (15:47):
And the Patriots are playing surprisingly.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Very very well. And I really don't like what I
what I'm seeing out of the Jets D. Yeah, I
don't know what's going on out there, but I'm gonna
I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the Pats and the upset.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Okay, oh Jets, Jets D would not as dominant as
you thought. Holds more holes than you thought.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Not as dominant. Last year they was almost impregnable, like
and they had little to no offense other than than
Breese Hall. And they were they were in the extent
of the games. But now, man, every time I look up,
someone's scoring on them. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
And that's the thing, man, Like that style of play,
unless it's a part of the culture, it's so hard
to maintain h from year to year. Well, you look
like you look back at like the t bow days
in Denver and they couldn't it wasn't sustainable, and I
think whether Jets, whether Jets are now, especially having Aaron
(16:56):
Rodgers back, I just think it's so unsustainable because you
have to have a mindset as an entire unit, and
I don't know if the Jets d is built to
play that way year after year and have to carry
that team and that offense haven't really got on track yet,
so they're kind of gonna have to do that still.
(17:18):
So yeah, I feelure first Sunday game, Oh god, you
know this, this could be, this might this has the
potential to be the ugliest game of the year. Giants
at Browns. It could be a blowout fenn which Browns
(17:39):
team shows up, the guys potentially get very ugly for both.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Who you got I'm going to Browns, Yeah, want to Browns.
But I think Danny DIM's gonna sling it a little.
He may throw two touchdowns. We're probably gonna throw four picks,
that's what Yeah, he's gonna throw. Was gonna get his catches.
But yeah, I think last year, I mean, last week
eleven eleven.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Ball Hey should have eleven? He dropped them. Yeah, yeah,
I mean that's pretty simple. Any team would the team
who's as Daniel Jones, I'm picking the.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Other team of course.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, until uh, until proven otherwise. Right, Yeah, it's a
big matchup, man. We got the Eagles traveling to New
Orleans take on the Saints Sunday at one o'clock. Eagles
coming off game. First off, I don't know, I've been
(18:45):
talking about this. I don't trust Nick surry Nix said whatever,
the Eagles coach. I don't trust him in big moments. Man, Hm,
it's who is who in you? Who do We used
to say this saying about give him a chance and
(19:06):
they'll always blow it, both of us about the Browns
back and there we said about.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Somebody the chance and they're gonna blow it.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
And it's just like with with him, I just think
that he's gonna find a way to blow it in
a big, big moment and they blew that game.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Oh yeah, And he just absolutely thinks he's so smarter
than everyone. Just just make just make the call, make
the make the call, make the plague.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I gotta get cute.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yeah yeah, yeah, So he's the freaking riddler, like.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Right, just so you tell. I mean, he was coming
off that tough loss to Atlanta Saints, Ryding.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
High I'm taking the Saints. Man, I don't know if
A is gonna go with the hamstring. Hm.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
I'm taking the Saints at home.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, no doubt that. Don't go be on fire rocking. Yeah,
it should be another good When Texans traveling to Minnesota,
c J. Stroud taking on that aforementioned Vikings defense.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I'm taking the Texans. I don't know if Jake Jett
is going. I don't know he's going with the quad.
He may be going. I don't know, but I just
don't think that man, that was that's a tough staff
Randy though, but it's a tough Texans. I just think
the Texans gonna be able to go in there and
(20:44):
walk out with a win.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Yeah, this game one at one o'clock. I might have
to watch this one.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Just one could get ugly too one sided. The Broncos
travel to Tampa Bay bow Knicks against Baker Mayfield, all
time classic matchup. Who he taking a.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Baker's I mean he's rolling on all similars right now, Bakers.
Baker's playing goodball there. The Bulks are playing good ball.
Both Knicks them. They just can't They just haven't found
anything yet. They don't know what. They can't find anything
that works. The run game, but the passing game that
(21:30):
they're playing good, pretty good dal on the D line,
but you know, they can't find anything to work right now.
So I'm definitely going with the with the going against
the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Who's the other team?
Speaker 1 (21:51):
So through two weeks of the NFL season, nobody from
the twenty twenty three, twenty four draft classes throwing a touchdown?
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Class?
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Okay, who's gonna be the first? Mm hmmm, easy, man,
I know you're gonna say, Taylor Taylor Willis.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah, we had we had one. Yeah, get get kind
of dropped Sunday night. Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
I don't know if you missed.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
I nobody was pulling on wrong, Yeah, I think, but
I think wrong kind of missed timed as well too. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
And it was a floater kind of or the judge
and the speed, you know, I get it.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
I should have called it the should have called it
definite at.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
The packers are tightened the Samlik Willis Bowl.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Man, I'm going elite man.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Elite League and be elite man. Fourteen fourteen passes eighty
and running that thing right, throwing vomit balls so if
they able to run, yeah, if they able to run,
if if Josh Jacobs is able to pounded like he did.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Because the one thing about the Packers d is it
is gonna be you know, it's it's gonna be hard.
Will while will Is to do his thing out there.
That got really good cover cover corners, good cover secondary.
So I'm I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with
the pack with Williams. Will Willis won't this one? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:29):
You do? You want that petty game ball?
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Next game man one o'clock as well, your Bears travel
to Indianapolis one and one bears to the O and
two coats.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Oh man, Bears, We don't have to say anything else
about it, Bears. Uh.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Next matchup, we got the l A Chargers traveling to Pittsburgh.
Both teams too and up. Both teams pretty much play
the same style of running games. Really good defense, right
m hm about twenty times a game?
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Who you taking?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
I think I think the Steelers did just better.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah, you know, I think, and I think Fields is
gonna make more plays than than justin h. Field is just.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Gonna be able to He could be able to do
a lot more with the seat justin Justin's hobble, and yeah,
I want to say, oh, I just blanked out for
a second.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
I want to say I'm gonna go with Pittsburgh. I
just think that is and I know you guys, secondary
is right now, I mean, questionably the best secondary of
the league.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
So you know, yeah, it should be a good game.
I unders on this game. It's probably thirty I think, yeah,
it's a be a good game.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yeah, a lot.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Of familiar faces. Bud be pretty over there in l
A now, so oh yeah, yeah, we've got the JK.
Dobbins and Gus Edwards in LA. Used to seeing them
from Baltimore, So it should be a good one. Man.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, yeah, I'm definitely on channel check for that one.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Moving on to the four o'clock games. Got Miami traveling
to the Seahawks. Miami starting Skyler whatever his name is.
Two out.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
I remember Skylar.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
He's not bad, but but definitely not going with those guys, right, yeah,
definitely not going Miami Hawks. Man, and Gino's playing pretty
good ball. Since you don't play.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
If you if you two tu us brother big brother
right now, you're telling him to retire.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
And I don't know if I'm telling him to retired,
I know that the game has a stronghold on you.
You know when you're playing and competitive and you're young,
and you know it's really it's about the money. But
it's not about the money because you know, when you're
an athlete, you you you bleed sports.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Mm hmmm period.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
You know. So, man, that's that's hard to say because
you know, those guys don't have countless, countless concussions. It's
just that we've been able to see his concussions on
center stage like they've been really and effects correct, correct, correct,
But I mean I just got to tell him to
(27:01):
consider his fan you know, wife, kids.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
I don't even know if he have a wife.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
He does a wife, and.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Okay, just just consider them and consider you twenty years
from now. You want to be able to walk your
daughter daughter down the aisle.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
You want to be able to be there to take
pictures that a prom and and know that you're looking
at your daughter, you know, because you could be there,
you can know.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
I have a clue on who even looking at. Yeah,
so just those are things to consider as well. Yeah, man,
that's tough. Mhm. God.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
The Panthers traveling to Vegas take on the Raiders. Brace
young has been bent to be handy. Dalton actually do
has a good move, though you can ruin a young
quarterback in the situation heasy, So I think it's good
that they take a step back and just try to
(27:58):
rework some things. I think he's on the verge of crumbling.
So who you take it?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Oh man, go ahead? The raid is I mean, but
that old line is maybe the worst in the game. Yeah,
maybe the worst in the game. Man. I don't think
you can have any quarterback play behind that line. But
we'll see what Andy does.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
We'll see what Yeah, I mean, maybe he can get
the ball out quicker. And yeah, I mean the old
line is not doing them any favors. Therefore the running
games not doing them any favors. The receivers, I mean
a few times that they they've been getting open, he's
missed them. But they don't really have anybody creating separation.
(28:46):
It's it's bad business man. But I'm I'm of the
thought that David Temper is approaching being the worst Orange
sports sport mm hmm, h m hmmm. That I'm not
(29:08):
a huge Panthers fan, mm hmm. But being from the Carolina's.
We always it's always more fun when the Panthers look good, right,
you know? And to see what I don't necessarily say
what he's done, but what has happened to that franchise
since he's bought that team? It ain't it ain't pretty man.
(29:29):
And there's no there's no light at the end of
the tunnel.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
So another gig well would have been a good game
for one for injuries. But forty nine ers traveling to
the Rams. Uh, who you takeing.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Niners?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Yeah? Yeah, taking no Pook or no Coop, no Pook
or no Coop man, and and no Pook and no
coupe man. They got them young boys out there. They
supposed to be pretty good, but they ain't gonna be
able to do nothing with Seth Flan No, not at all. Man.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
And like to see who will be their top two
receivers Tyler Davis and Marcus Robinson.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Marcus Robinson, and they hire on that kid, think Whitton,
he's a rookie. Yeah something like that.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Yeah, but yeah, yeah right, Uh, it should be a
good one. Got the Lions going to the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
The Lion's coming off with tough loss against Tampa, the
Cardinals rebounding, getting Marvin involved, finally coming off a big win.
Who you taking.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
I'm gonna go with the Cardinals two Dame win.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Streaky, really was in control. Week won against the Buffalo Bills.
I don't know what happened the second half. They stopped
doing whatever they was doing and and they you know,
they fell apart. Josh Allen took over. They didn't come out,
come out to the locker room with the same intensity,
(31:18):
and you know, the Bills prevailed, but I think they're
going to get two in a row.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Okay, another huge game and the Ravens traveling to Dallas
Sunday at four twenty five, Ravens looking at er and
three square in the face. And of course we just
talked about what happened against the Saints for the Cowboys.
Who you take it?
Speaker 2 (31:45):
That's that's so tough, man, because I don't have a
clue about like which one of these teams are what right?
But I guess when when in doubt, you probably would
say take the home team. But I'm gonna the team
that's really really starving, and that's the Ravens.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Yeah, yeah, man, it's tough, Like you mentioned Derrick Henry earlier.
It's tough to get him that many carries because Lamar
has got to get his carries. And then this in
the flow of their offense. If Lamar is not a
threat to carry the ball in their offense shuts down.
(32:26):
So it's gonna be tough to maintain that flow. And
Derrick Henry is kind of one of those backs that
the more you feed him, the better he gets. So
it's gonna be tough. And their defenses last in the league,
I think against the past, and the first against the run,
(32:48):
last against the past. So and I think losing Patrick
Queen plays a part of that. Martin Humphrey not being
in this part me longer, that's a big part of that.
And having a new defensive coordinator plays a big part
of that.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
All that to say, it's not the recipe you want.
Facing Dak Prescott mm hmmm. In week three of the
regular season, da gonna swing that thing and then he'll
put up numbers so get together.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
He can get going the thing. And the only reason
why I picked him is because well Dallas not at home.
It is because that he hadn't found his groove yet, right,
he's still in the like preseason mode, but he may
good to go this week. But he just had found
his groove yet. He and CD they just haven't found
(33:44):
a groove yet. But but but he's about to start
lighting it up pretty soon.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Yeah, absolutely, Sunday night. It should be an interesting game,
Chief said. Falcons and Chiefs are no longer in that
mode of putting up forty every week, right, and the
Falcons defenses they're gonna keep it close.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Yeah, vulnerable, Yeah, who you're taking. I don't like I
don't like the falcons past past blocking. I don't like
the old line in the in the past game. For
some reason, they couldn't get any pressure the Eagles. You know,
(34:34):
I thought I thought they passed Russell was going to
be better. They didn't really get off the ball, you know,
get the Kurt, but we know Chris Jones all week
have it.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
But h mm hmmm.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
You know what, though, I'm gonna go get to Chefs
one more time.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Man pick the Falcons to to shock the world.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Man make make Vegas some money.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yeah, they already they already beat the half of my
Super Bowl pick last week.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
And the Eagles, oh okay.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Now they're gonna be the other half of my super.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Bowl, the other half, right right? All right?
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Sure, Ken beat m hmm, Jacksonville traveling to Buffalo. Who
are you taking?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Take an upset? Okay, taking the Jacks to avoid a three? Yeah,
taking them to get off the snow, taking trouble to
get it going. The Bills d is, they're pretty good,
but they're not, you know, the Bills of old. They
don't have the corners of old. They don't have They
have a decent pass rush, but it's not the pass
(35:43):
rush of old. The the Jacks they have a pretty
good d you know, they can get after the pass rusher.
They're fast, athletic. That's that's why I think they're gonna
kind of like combat Josh scrambles. Not saying that Josh's
not gonna get his, but they're really fast, you know,
with their d end. So I think they're gonna be fine. Okay,
(36:04):
I'm picking the upset. Yeah, cool? All right?
Speaker 1 (36:08):
The close out Week three, the second money that game,
Washington and Cincinnati Bothea, Well, no, Washington Co went off
of close victory of Giants. Bengals are zero and two.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
What you got taking the Bangles? Yeah, I don't I
don't think it's gonna be close, uh twenty four in
something like that, Okay, yeah, yeah, I don't think. I
don't think it's gonna be too close. You know, we
all know that the Bangles should have walked out of
(36:42):
Kansas City, would have win. But gay the fella too
much time, man, been closer? Deal? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Yeah? What again? Why do we have to money night game?
Speaker 2 (36:54):
You know we normally start the season off with two
Monday night. Yeah, but they yeah, they end up shifting it.
I have no clue, you know, but I take.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
It, man, Yeah, I take it. H Man. What would
have been your thoughts on on jayde Dames so far?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
I hadn't seen him play yet.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
I'm I'm very eager to see him play one. I
want to see the system. I want to see the
system and I want to see the system. I want
to see what what what the guy from USC brought
out there. You know, I've only seen a few plays,
(37:38):
so I'm very interested in and what he looks like.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
So I can't wait to see the game.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Kingsbury, Yeah, Kingsbury, because I really, I really thought the
Bears was going to hire him.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Yeah mm hmmm. Oh, let's talk about your Bears old
line right quick.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Nate Davis, He's horrendous, man, you gotta go. Like I
saw an article came out the Bears are upset with
Nate Davis. He can't he's not able to practice. He's
always injured. We paid him three years thirty million dollars.
Like we're up in an uproar bottom to get rid
of him. Man, he's terrible jumping off side, he's moving,
(38:23):
He's not not moving people. He he looks like, he
looks like he looks like I don't even have an
age to for him. Jay looks terrible.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Yeah, And it makes it even worse because I thought
Tevin the left Tevin Williams the left guard. I thought
he was better on the right side last year the
right guard. So it's almost like they got worse at
two positions but.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Moving right.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
But yeah, it's maybe Nato get better because he does
the bad uh, because he's pretty solid, you know, in
previous years.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
But in Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Yeah, I mean it wasn't great, but he was serviceable.
H It don't be good.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
If Larry Worm wasn't injured, I think he would have
been in He probably have been at left and Tevin
would have been back at right, right, because you know
that's our guy. He plays a lot of different positions,
but Nate manate, ain't it.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
I mean, it's those are the situations. It's kind of
hard to judge your quarterback because he ain't got no
time all right. And I know they wanted to, you know,
play within the script a little more, which you saw,
you know, you saw that a little more in the
week two. But it's hard for him to Dude, if
(39:55):
if you don't like turn that bag, he's playing for
hits somebody in the face, right, Yeah. So yeah, so
that was one of you seeing what I was saying, Hey,
(40:16):
do you think though, do you think they're going to
open up justin a little more though I know we're
gonna pass everything, Yeah, a little more. I think they will.
I think they have to. It's kind of twofold. I
think they are kind of trying to like real him
(40:42):
in a little mm hmm. But at the same time,
I think he's kind of over correcting and not taking
opportunities m hm. And so he's playing so conservative, So
it kind of leads to one in moments you're like, damn,
just run like or just just like do what makes
(41:04):
you special, right, And so you can see in moments
where he's like over analyzing when he can just play ball.
And so I get that's part of the correction, that
cleaning up a lot of things whenever. And it's it's great,
but there are there's still things that make him special
that he's hold him back on.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Two.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
It's kind of a gift in the curse being still
as fan because Mike Tomlin loves to play this kind
of football, you know that be conservative. Let your quarterback
manage the game, at least over the last few years
since Roethisberger retired, right, And so player, I'll let your
(41:46):
defense win. Just don't turn the football over. And so
I get it, but you're not beating You're not being
the chief like that, right, not beating Buffalo like that, right?
You know, so at some point you got to put
points on the border. And granted last game was a
huge step forward for Justin because they were over I
(42:08):
think it was ninety yards and penalties that you know,
take to that took yards took too well, nine of
yards lost the penalties, I put it that way. There
was the big pass to George George Pickens that was
taken away by penalty. So and look at the first
(42:31):
two weeks. You know, there's another big pass to Pickens
that was taken away by penalty. So I think there's
been signs of growth, but I think he is playing
a little too modest at this point. H And then
the last thing it's always going to be is when
(42:52):
Russ is healthy. They just did they insert Russ and
which I think it's pros and cons to both. But
you know, as a as a as a as a
global outlook for the team, as long as that defense
show up, we're gonna shape right. So whoever's in there,
(43:17):
I don't think they're gonna ask him to be world
beaters by any meaning. Okay, so, but I like what
I'm saying out.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Of justin Yeah, me too. Yeah, that that passed the
Pickens last week was yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
Like it's it was such a good past you didn't
even see it and catch it. You know what I'm saying.
They just somebody just seended it into his chest. It's crazy, right,
But it's plays like that they just keep you wanting more. Right,
feels right. I'm sure I already know the answer this question.
(43:53):
But what and I guess it's unfair. And I ain't
even gonna ask you. I was gonna if if you would,
you would you still rather have feels seeing what you
see now, But the same thing wouldn't be happening if.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Right, right, right? Yeah, But I really like what I'm saying.
He's that was a like a number one like throw,
like from you know, top five drafted quarterback like that, right,
that was really special? That was that was bananas bananas.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
So I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
Man.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
It's only you know, just added in the week three
and we're already seeing growth from a guy who we
all said, if you know, if he gets the right
kind of coaching and in the right system, you can
unlock a lot of those twols, And we're starting to
see that.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Wo Man, Well you got anything? Oh nothing? Go ahead, man,
before we go, Man, you put on shot. Same thing
you gotta say before we get out of here.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
Man, Ain't I don't have anything crazy this week? I'm
blank this week?
Speaker 2 (45:13):
Oh man?
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Boy, hey man, thanks trafficking ain't it?
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Man? No? That ain't that ain't y yeah, yo, yo,
my my dude, my girl. Thanks trafficking it ain't it? Man?
Just Just find somebody you can kick it with you
next nicking chill or I don't care if you're in
(45:42):
the streets, but putting that bread in and getting people
from state to state. That ain't it. It ain't that ain't.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
Yeah, no doubt about that. I ain't got nothing crazy man,
just slop Asian Wilson Man, first player in w n
B AS three to have a thousand points in the season.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
Okay, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
M v P trains still moving. You know. Anytime we
get a shout out, get a chance to shout out
South Carolina Bredren, we will so shout out to Asia.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Man.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
She just keep doing it and uh looking forward to
the playoffs, no doubt. Yeah man, that's all we got.
Speaker 2 (46:29):

Speaker 1 (46:30):

It ain't worth it, ain't worth it, man, find somebody
to chill with. Yeah, yeah, but we'll we'll check in
with y'all next week. Enjoy week three and safe travels. Brother.
