Join us always by wonderful co host Thomas Stevens. Was good.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hey, what's good man? Another day of another dollar?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, how I'm good man, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
You know.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Sorry we missed y'all last week. We had a few
life things going on, so we missed y'all. Hope y'all
missed us, But we're back. Check us out on YouTube,
you know the channel. Check us out on your favorite
podcast platforms. Please go subscribe, like, comment, share, do all
that good stuff. We appreciate y'all. We're back, Man already
(00:50):
already almost a quarterly away through the season after week four.
It's funny how I was thinking about this. We missed
last week, but we already had topics, you know, out
for the work before we realized we couldn't record. But
it's amazing how narratives can change in a week in
(01:10):
the NFL, right because last week we're going to talk
about all Man one are the problems that cann be
fixed in Chicago Dallas. But those nators are shifted a little,
and especially in Chicago. But we'll get to that. Man, First,
I want to ask you. I think we were deep
(01:34):
enough not to really make any yeah, in any statements
that aren't going to change, but so far, give me one. Well,
first off, I forgot. I want to mention this before
we get too deep into the show. We had a
few more Man, we're doing this too much, like we
(01:55):
have a few more legends that passed away this week. Man,
So condolences to the families. Shout out to the legacies
of the Kemba Matombo, Pete Rose, and John Amos. You know, again,
it seems like we're doing this too much lately, but
I just definitely wanted to give those guys a shout out,
(02:18):
you know, the Kim and Matambo in in conversation for
maybe the greatest defensive player of all time in the NBA. Yeah,
you know, just always larger than life and a great
human being, continued his legacy after his retirement and one
(02:41):
of a few players that made it to the Hall
of Fame mostly off of strictly defense. Yeah, so I
shout out to him, of course, Charlie hustle Man, Pete Rose. Yeah,
you know, I think his it's a shame because it's
legacy gets tarnished by the things that are now the
(03:03):
sports world and sporting organizations and leagues kind of entice
people to do. Now it's bet on games. You know,
his legacy is kind of marked by that. But you know,
definitely a great hitter, base runner and as his name,
(03:29):
his nickname attested to man, Charlie Hustle speaks for itself
and uh and John Amos and one of the greatest
TV dads of all time, good times, iconic and roots,
hilarious and a staple in coming to America and many
(03:51):
many more roles. So shout out to John Namos.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Man.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah so, but yeah, just wanted to get that album.
But again, moving on to to my question, to you
give me one team and one player who've been the
most disappointing so far in the NFL season.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Disappointing I want to say, I want to say Josh Jacobs. Hmm.
You know, I just really thought, I mean, I thought
the offensive line was pretty good there, and I just
thought he was just gonna be there and go there
and be an absolute load. You know. I don't know
(04:40):
if it's the touches or the scheme or love's been out,
but I just don't know me, he's been absolutely disappointed,
disappointed for me. Yeah, and team, And like you said,
the narratives definitely has changed. Man. The Cowboys don't look
(05:00):
like they did hit week one. You know, they're they're
you know, they're extremely disappointing. I'm gonna I'm I'm go
ahead and stick with the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Okay, Yeah, if I had to pick, I would say player.
I noticed your guy Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Man. Yeah, no, I was gonna say travel as well,
but I guess I drafted that's Jacob's on my fantasy team,
So go.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Home, right, Yeah, yeah, Trevor Lawrence and it's it's a shames.
Trevor looks like he's broken.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Man.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
M like that old culture in that team scene is broken,
but especially Trevor, especially after fifty five MILLI year, you know,
sets you up for either it's no gray area success
or failure. Right, And it looks like he's definitely regressed.
There's no argument that. But he looks like he's broken.
(06:00):
I think it's just a matter of time before Frank
Rank is out of there, I mean Peters. But yeah,
I definitely go with Trevor and Team. I probably go Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Mhm.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Starting off at one and three. I mean, they're they're
they're known to get off the slow starts, but I
say them more because I don't see them coming out
of this tawnspan. They don't have the defense to uh
to make a you know, sustainable run as of success.
And you know, for them to go into Washington and
(06:46):
not giving not force a punt, it's crazy, right. So
you know, then won last week, but I don't I
don't think it's gonna get much better all shootouts, yeah, absolutely,
And I don't know, you know, and the health of
Joe Burrow. I don't think has he has he played
(07:07):
the sixteen or full sixteen game season yet, I don't
think so.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Maybe once, maybe once the year they went to the
Super Bowl. Yeah that year, that year.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, so yeah, maybe who would you say would be
a player and a team that are your biggest surprises
at this point?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Damn Donald Minnesota Vikings, the same guy on the same team, right, yeah, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
I mean the kids went from seeing ghosts, can't miss
the open guy, right, you know, a turnaround.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah, I'm trying to find a different one again that
I'll go.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
They end up.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Losing this week, but I'll go Buffalo losing all the
players that they lost in free agency and via trade.
I didn't. I think they were kind of exposed, you know,
some of their flaws last week. So I don't think
they're a flawless team. But uh, you know, three of
(08:17):
one coming out the gate, I think better than I
thought it would be.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
And uh so i'd say Buffalo is a team and
there's a player true, I'll go mm hmm, I'll go
Jayden Daniel mm hmmm. I didn't. Of course, this is
(08:46):
a ballyhoo quarterback class, so but I wasn't thinking any
of them were going to come out. And yeah, he's
been pretty flawless the last two weeks. You know, completion
percentage and of course it's you know, it's a lot
of short passes, but that's the way the game is
going are with everybody playing too high, but you know,
(09:09):
completing percentage over eighty, you know, making smart decisions. He's
still got a lot of room to grow, but he's
been decisive with his legs and accurate with his arm. Yeah,
I was right, Dames.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Yeah, Yeah, I mean I'm sure it was our with
you go. Yeah, probably the biggest surprise to be the Cowboys,
and biggest surprise player would be Zeke or something. Yeah,
but you know, but you ain't here. Yeah, we had
(09:51):
a little more time. He don't here to chime in.
So let's let's talk about your Bears. Man, what kind
of progress have you seen? This is good talking about
the progress. I want to talk about that what we've
seen so far in the in the in the progress
so far of Kate Williams and the growth that we've
seen in justin fields away from Chicago.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
So but what uh for for Caleb Williams in particular
and the Bears as a whole? What what have you seen?
And it's kind of right the ship a little. But
I like to play calling outside rams crappy defense.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
I like, I like, I like to play calling. You know,
it's getting better to me. You know. I didn't like
us coming out throwing the ball fifty five times in
the game, you know, with with Caleb, I wanted us
to pay gets more attention and detail to the run,
get out there and try to get the run going.
But our interior was just well, Nate, Nate David is
(10:50):
just so freaking crappy but so, but I mean he's
checking down, he's throwing to his running backs, and I
guess he's he's utilizing every blade of grass. I would say,
you know, he's throwing it to this short guy and
letting the playmakers make plays instead of thinking that his
(11:13):
arm has to make on the plays. So I've noticed
that with him, and that's really big. And I noticed
that we putting more people on the line of scrimmage.
We're committing more people to the run game, you know,
instead of having instead of them playing the run game
like like Waldron did in Seattle when they had a
(11:33):
better offensive line, so they they were spread it and
let the walk of the third fine holes. Our offensive
line is not that good, so he has to put
more tight ends and more this and more that you know,
inside the box to get God's block. So I like
that as well. So I see growth with Waldron and
(11:54):
and Caleb.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Okay, yeah, I agree. I think Caleb's starting to settle
in one. He's starting to realize that, especially with that
receiving court, he doesn't have to play hero ball so much,
and and realizing that a checkdown is not the worst
thing in the world sometimes and just taking what the
(12:15):
defense gives me this is this is a sign of
not just growth but confidence and and like comfortability where
he can, you know, learn to be patient and there's
nothing wrong with a one is nothing wrong with you know,
a field goal. Two, there's nothing wrong with a ten
play drive. Everything had to be a three play drive.
(12:38):
So he's kind of learning and uh, you know, be patient.
So it's good to see.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Definitely.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah, and justin fields Man in Chicago, we well documented
his struggles and I think I think everybody kind of
agreed that it was to move on when you know
feels kind of I mean, Caleb kind of gave you
(13:06):
an opportunity to reset the clock. But you know, with
all the Phiel's flaws in Chicago and just the the
up and down nature of his game there have have
you noticed have you watched enough still still a snaps
to know that notice a difference in the quarterback that
(13:29):
he is now I'm watched him.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
He He's what I envisioned him to be like on
that on that trajectory, He's he's scanning the field. He's
not holding on you know, as long he's he's been.
He's more precise as in making his mind up getting
it out there, you know, and and and and it
(13:52):
seemed like maybe he was coached. He's being coached instead
of being talked to. Yeah, So, I uh, I think
he's I think he's making himself a boatload of money. Yeah,
I think he's the guy.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yeah, I think so too. There there's no way they
can turn to Russell at this point.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Mm hm.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
So yeah, I think he's the guy. Of course, we
got a long way to go, but yeah, I mean
he's I mean he acknowledged that, you know, the coaching
that he was receiving in Pittsburgh is is superior to
the coaching and receives in Chicago and not. And it's
not a knock on the coaches in Chicago. I think one,
when you have someone that's that gifted and naturally talented,
(14:35):
maybe they learned for their mistakes and in the way
that they're coaching Caleb from the from the lack of,
like you said, coaching and not talking to that, they
put in adjustin. Yeah, because his ability to yeah, not
just re defenses, but be decisive and what defenses defenses
(14:58):
are giving him, and also using his legs more judiciously
and not not reading and reading one thing and taking off.
So I think he's definitely grown. It's gonna be fun
to watch him. But you're right, we've got to pay
(15:20):
that man.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
And if if they were smart, right, and but that's
against the stealers rules.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
They don't negotiate during the season. This is a pretty
unique situation. So it's a bit of a unique situation.
I don't know if they would benefit them to wait
until after the season. One, the price is only gonna
go up. And two now that I'm not that I
think Justin wants to, but it opens up, it opens
(15:59):
him up to anybody.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
You look at there's already rumors going around about Miami
and what's gonna happen with tour. They don't go to
Banket and Justin fields the Raiders the Raiders, mm hmmm.
So we'll see. But then, you know, it's fun to
watch watch his growth. And again, as I've been saying
(16:26):
since they traded for him, it ain't Kenny Pickett man.
So I'm happy we're getting out of him. So I
look forward to what's coming. Yeah, after at this point
in the season, again, we missed last week, so after
(16:50):
week four, what do you know that you know around
the league after four weeks.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Do I know? I know, I know, I know that
the NFL is completely unpredictable. You know, it's it's any
given Sunday.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
No freaking that's what stands for.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Man, it's just any given Sunday. Number one can be
number thirty one. You know, it could be like damn,
it just can't stop the kid. The Niners went in
on the high last week, went to Minnesota and got
steam room. Yeah you know, and I mean so it's like, dude,
(17:39):
you never can tell, right, you know, we went to
Indy and got slapped around. You know who Indy played
this week? And they just couldn't get a stop. Like
Indy kept scoring, scoring the first down the first time
who Indy played this Sunday came in.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
You yeah, it was uh.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
So you know the Eagles went down there even though
my god didn't have any threats, but still, yeah, they
couldn't stop. They couldn't stop the Bucks. It would have
been you know, a score Max. So I mean, NFL man,
just no no logic. Just whatever happens happened.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
And even if you look at it as a whole
after four weeks, like I know, the AFC North It's
pretty much upside down what everybody thought it was going
to be. Coming into the season. People were saying that,
you know, Cincinnati and Baltimore were going to be fighting
for the division, Pittsburgh and forth. Definitely, justin Fields or
(18:46):
Russell Westbrook, Russell Wilson, whoever the quarterback is the worst
quarterback in the division. Like, that's definitely upside down. The
NFC East, nobody, Oh, Washington will be the topic vision Yeah, yeah,
it's it's nobody thought Minnesota would be top of the
(19:07):
NFC North. It's weird, man, And uh, but again that's
what makes it so fun, right. You know there's an
average of what six teams every year that made the
playoffs the previous year that don't make it the following.
So yeah, this is the makings of it. Man. It's uh,
you know, it's why we wait on it so heavily
(19:31):
and were so excited when it gets you you know,
text Kean, text me a bunch of times from in
the NFL. Man, they just got me in a choke hold.
This is what it is, man. But yeah, and we
got a long way to go. It's gonna be fun, definitely.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Switching gears to a totally different sport. There's no way
to transition to this. So it's media day to day
in La. So I got got two NBA stories. I
want to talk to you about Media day in La today.
Lebron and Bronnie James and media day sitting in you know,
(20:15):
at the podium together today. Did you have you checked
that out?
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
It's pretty dope, man, And it's kind of as you
see the of course we know it was, you know,
we know he's there. As you see these things in
front of you, now you kind of realize how big
that is. Man? What are I know you're not the
biggest Lebron fan, but I like imagine if you still
(20:45):
had two good knees and I imagine I still had
a good back and all this Like.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
How dope would it be man, to like be in
that position and have your son play besides you, like
and see it come to fruition.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Absolutely speech us man, no words for it. Right. I
cry every day like this is my guy? Let alone?
Like let alone a friend, like one of your best friends,
good guy, but your your seed, someone you nourished and
played and took them to work out, Like this is
my guy.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I can look over there and be like, that's my boy,
literally made his own my player. You can't beat that, right,
That's yeah, that's my guy. It's pretty dope, man. And
I mean I'm not your how season is going to
play out, but man, be able to play one get
(21:42):
one minute of playing time with your dad, you know,
or your son whichever perspective, that's pretty dope. Mm hmm.
And shout out LEBRONI because I think Lebron tweeted about
this is It's one thing to make it to that
level out of a place of hunger and necessity, but
(22:06):
to have your dad be one of the five greatest
players ever and you still have the hunger to get
to that level. You don't have to all right, right,
you know if you wanted to say, yeah, I don't
want this, I want to be a gamer, you can
do that. So shout out to Browning too, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Uh yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
And I also wanted to mention your guy called to
the career this week. Man. Yeah, man, I wanted to
give you an opportunity to speak on your boy d Rose.
What you what what you think his legacy is? What
are your greatest de Rose moments? It's your guy, I know,
with you with your hometown Chicago Bulls. So have had it, man,
(22:54):
it's your gout.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Man choked up man. I remember when we got the
first overall pick and and I was like, man, we
were gonna we're gonna go with the small, We're gonna
go with the forward. We're gonna go with d Rose.
Who we're gonna go with. Then I thought, and let's
go point guard. Gotta go point guard, got to go
Rolls and Miami talking about yeah, they want to go rolls.
(23:20):
We took Rolls and and I think I was on
my way. I was on my way somewhere when we
drafted him. I might have been king Kum. Like I
was at the airport in O'Hara when we drafted him
in Chicago. Yeah, yeah, I was at the O'Hara airport.
So and he came in and you know, now we're
(23:41):
the baby Bulls and you know, he's doing his thing.
And every time I think about d Rose, man, I
just think, why not me? Why? Why why can't I
be m v P. You know what I'm saying. And
I mean that time was special, Like I haven't love
sports like that since since since Mike retired, you know,
(24:05):
because it was my bulls. You know, every night, every
night we packed our hard hats and we played ball
and rolls with the catalysts. So that was that was
definitely a special time for me, man. And the moment
was I mean definitely when he went out there and
scored thirty six and it's I think thirty six is
the first playoff game. But we were dying at Miami
(24:27):
and they slugging and he just single handle it. Man.
He just taking over the game, dunking on Folk just
and they was like, man, he won't stop, right, he
keep coming. Yeah. I like Christmas Day we went to
LA and they had they had Kobe and they had
a really good team, man, and they didn't really see
(24:48):
us being that good. And we went in there and
we came out with the dub Christmas Day against the Lakers.
So I could talk about d ros soever. Man, that's
my guy, I know, Man.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
And you know, one thing, somebody said this, and I
don't know it was TikTok. I don't know whatever it's about.
But here I always hear people say talk about prime
d rolls. M And you you ain't seen nothing to
you to seeing prime d Rolls, prime d Roses. We
(25:19):
never saw prime d Rolls, right, we never had the
opportunity for him to get to his part right now,
we saw him at the best he gave us, right,
and he was never you know, the injuries took away
his prime, right, you got to reach it. And so
i'm it's it's scary to think what could have been
(25:43):
if we got to see his prime, agree, like close
to approach it, because we ain't get to see close
to it.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
No, yeah, I agree, I agree, But yeah, I mean I.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Know she got it in the credit him for you know,
adjusting his game out of necessity and making a sixteen
year career out of it. Man, it's you would have
told us twelve years ago to he'd be around right
to sixteen years, Like none of us would have believed it, right,
(26:20):
But I think he would have had the opportunity, and
then he wouldn't have had the opportunity to be of
course one of the the greatest players of his generation
probably ever, but then two it would have given I mean,
of course he's one of the biggest what if now
(26:41):
in sports.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
No, but I think.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Like it gave it. It takes like it took away
a generational figure, not just a player, but a figure
for for us, you know, and you look at.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
You know, the the.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
You know magics to Michael too Shock to Duncan to
Kobe to Lebron like that passing along Steph. I think
it would have been in that conversation of icons. But
I'm the kudos there man for making the best of
the hand that he was dealt because was good.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
M hmm yeah, definitely. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Man, you want to run through these games this week? Man?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Course, ye, yeah, straight, we can get them.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
We can get them, man, knock it out before we
before we get out of here.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
All right.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Again, since when got a yapping on? Got a lot
of time left? Man, pull up schedule right quick? Uh?
Speaker 2 (28:07):
All right?
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Starting out Thursday night football, she'd been a good one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Atlanta take on the Falcons. Buccaneers,
like you mentioned, coming off a huge win out the
Falcons coming off a huge win against New Orleans for
the last second field goal by Young Way Coop. Mm hmm.
(28:30):
I ain't gonna call him like Shannon Sharp, call him
young Hope. Who you got.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Let me take the bucks? Okay, we'll take the bucks.
Keep it going, keep rolling, Baker rolling, many Baker rolling.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, this gotta suck as a cleaving fan.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
See Baker and flack Old balling out and to Shaune
not so much. Yeah, it's gotta hurt. Yeah, Sunday morning.
I forgot about this. The London game. Nine thirty in
the morning on Sunday, the Jets and the Vikings travel
to London.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I'm not picking. I'm not picking anyone to beat the
Vikings right now, except the Bears, except.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
The especially not the Jets, right Yeah, I feel you.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
The regular schedule is Sunday and one. The Carolina Panthers,
who all of a sudden looked like an actual NFL team,
travel to Chicago to take on your Bears. Wow, are
you taking the Bats?
Speaker 2 (29:41):
I'm taking the Bears, man, We're at home. I'm thinking
we're gonna our second day. I think we have one
of the best secondaries in the league. But I know
Andy the Red Rockets gonna sling it. Yeah. I think
we're gonna neutralize the run game. Excuse me making one dimensional.
I think we're gonna be able to move the ball
on defense, So I'm taking us.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Okay, this could get ugly Cleveland travels to d C
to take on the Commanders. Who you taking?
Speaker 2 (30:14):
I'm taking the upset, Okay, taking Cleveland. That's crazy we're
talking about that sounds bananas, right yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Yeah, And that's after I said this could get ugly.
I see where you're coming from. This is, yeah, Washington
drying high with a young quarterback. They all the Commanders
fans think they're going to the super Bowl, which is
rightfully three and one. But and Cleveland's desperate, so I
get it.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Desperate.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Yeah, Now this will get ugly in a different sense,
just because it's gonna be some ugly football. I'm all
of field goal games, but they're only because of good defense,
not just because it's bad offense all over.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Miami traveling to New England. Oh, I ain't gonna gonna win,
but who doesn't lose this guy.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
H New England doesn't lose it. I think we may
even see may m hm, we.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
May see man. Yeah, Miami is in all kinds of trouble.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Man, I would I would love to see Melton.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Yeah, when we met Drew Blats, Tony Easton play them
all man if if if Tom Brady went on somewhere
being horrible in the booth.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Bring him back to Hey, I feel you, MANE Cray.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
The Coats travel to Jacksonville take on the four Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Oh man, Yeah, I'm taking I'm taking the taking. The
they got they bring a flea back out there.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
They don't know yet Anthony Richardson's they gotta bang up here.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
But the rude them out you so okay, But I'll
take the close either way though.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah, I like I like r Yeah, okay, let mess
some real quick season. End of the day, as they
like to say, Jacksonville is going forward. I think by
record and by the eye test, they're probably the worst
team to the league right now.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Right the worst team in the league. Man, Miami without
tour Man, Yeah, it's it's it's man, it's closed, it's closed.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Well, both teams in this healthy. Well okay, Jacksonville, guys,
both Jacksonville right now, if they got the first pick,
who they taking just off the top of Yeah, I
know you and we ain't gotta we ain went through
that draft process and we ain't got two hundred names
and I had.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Right now, Yeah, I don't even know who coming out.
They're not taking quarterback right.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Yeah, or position left tackle, Travis.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
The old line. I'll see Travis Hunter the old line.
Not bad.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
They left tackle suck stuff horrible.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Oh, Cam Robinson, Yeah, Cam, Cam, Yeah, I haven't seen
any Jacks games this year.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah, I watched him.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Am I giving any like help over there?
Speaker 1 (33:40):
No? I mean I think it could be a matter
of coaching and play call and when you're owing for
and they look that bad, it's a bunch of things
that's your proud. But Travis Hunter will be interesting.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Even though we've never had we've never had a we
haven't had a receiver goal number one overall it's Keishawn Johnson.
And if they decide he's a cornerback, I don't know
if we've ever had a cornerback though number one.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I can't think of. Not in not er.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
But if you're gonna break history, break it with Travis right.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Yeah, mister Blain Miami. If let's say to a cause
of the career, mm hmm, is there a quarterback worth
taking number one?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
O one? Number one? I can't think. I can't think
an Yeah, yeah, we need to sign Justin I was
just about to say Justin Field, sweet.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, that we need to sign the kid that right now,
I'm gonna take the bie. We can sign that kid.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Yeah, man, justin Field sweepstakes, Yeah all right.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
The Buffalo, Yeah it's Stephane Diggbo. Buffalo travels to Houston
take on the Texans. Be an interesting game you got.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take the Texans. Okay, yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna take the Texans. I think they're gonna be
able to do enough to corral Josh. They got a
lot of athletes, they got a lot of fast athletes
on D, so i'm gonna take them.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Okay, AFC dow a showdown. Baltimore goes to Cincinnati take
on the Bengals.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
You take Baltimore. I don't think it's gonna be easy,
but Cincinnati normally have the number, but then D is
not the same D. And I think that Baltimore is
gonna get enough stops mm hm to win. And I
just don't think that Cincinnati is gonna get meny at all.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, it's gonna be interested in one. Cincinnati can't stop
the run, right Baltimore. I just found their run game, right.
Cincinnati is also starting a rookie left to right tackle
against that Baltimore defense. So I would say Baltimore as well.
(36:15):
M two other teams that were not looking better than
we thought they looked. The Raiders travel to Denver take
on the Broncos. The Broncos, Yeah, I am mad at you.
Arizona Man travels to San fran take on the Niners.
(36:37):
This is probably a lot closer than we thought it
would be.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
The injuries, now, I's got a lot of injuries. I'm
gonna take another upset. Okay, let me take the cars. Yeah,
let me take the cars. But man, the cars they'll
be start that run game though, But I'm still I'm
gonna still stick with them.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah, yeah, but they might. Yeah, should be a good guy.
Oh Man. The Giants travel to Seattle take on the Seahawks.
Dave Jones coming to town with the Seahawks. Gonna do.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Take the Hawks. Man is playing good ball right now, though,
But I'm take the Hawks. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Hey, relatively speaking, neighbors. The animal, Yeah he might be out.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
He's a concussions animal. Is nice, he's all that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Yeah, that's one thing that sell some tickets in New York,
right because he about the only thing they got on offense. Man,
that defense lejit though, Yeah, defense solid, but yeah, Neighbors
is like that. Oh man, your crappy running back takes
(37:57):
on the crappy Rams defense. The Packers go there. Let
Josh Jacob, your crappy disappointing player of the year or
so far?
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Who you He's gonna come out. It's gonna be his
coming out party. Yeah, I'm taking I'm taking the pack man.
I love he finally got into the groove. He slung
it around. I think what four touchdowns, three hundred and
ninety yards something like that. Oh, I'm taking the pack. Okay.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
That ends the day scheduling on Sunday, and then we've
got the varsity game on Sunday night. Cowboys travel to
Pittsburgh taking on the Steelers. Who you taking, I'm taking
pitt Man, No, Mica know. DeMarcus Lawrence for Dallas, Jack
Smith for for Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Oh no, how Smith? Yeah, I'm taking Pittsburgh. Though, I
just think that that's gonna be one dimensional. I'm not
gonna be a They're not gonna be able to run
them all run the ball, even though down with douty, doubt,
whatever it.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Is, it's the game. He say his name right all
right down.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
He's a solid back, but they don't give hi enough touches.
Don't get touches. And then deuce he's explosive, but they
don't give him any touches. They might do a swing
swing pass once again.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Gotta get the ball, man, man, you got.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
Get the hot dogs on the side. Man, Man, that's
what they do. That's it was neat man.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
You do like that? Man, back the eat, No, man,
I can't wait to Christmas time. Zeke score touchdown though,
and try to jump in that bucket and miss and
get up that.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Put on the put zeke on the yacht man so
we can just get up there and motor boat man
grad like that.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
Oh man. Monday night the Saints go to the Chiefs.
Should be a good game. You take a good game.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
I'm picked up set. Okay, I'm taking the set. I'm
taking the things to get back on track and get
the dub on the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
It's gonna be huge, man for the rest of the
season unless they make a move somewhere. Chiefs and no
Rushie Rice. You know that takes away their number one
weapon m hmm on offense, and it's gonna be tough
for them to put up the points they've been putting up.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
There's a lot of numorous. There's a lot of rumors
swirling about d A though.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
It is, Yeah, between it and it's gonna say the Chiefs,
the Jets, the Steelers mm hmmm, and somebody else. So,
m I don't want to part something, well, I don't
want to part of his contract.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
I gotta put it that way, Okay, I can't make
too much money you're making now, all right?
Speaker 1 (41:13):
I take him for a half year rental. We just
say one and for a half years. Give for fifth round, people,
I take you. But yeah, she's gonna to do something.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
We gotta do something.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
They can't do it. We're worthy? Is they no want
to see?
Speaker 2 (41:27):
And Kelsey's not Kelsey any longer?
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Right, but it's the chiefs man they're gonna find with her. Yeah,
make them relevant.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah that don't look bad though you know he ain't.
He ain't Huntled yesteryear. But he's really really still really
really good.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yeah. Yeah they mm hmmm. Last last game week on Monday,
I know that is the Monday night guy.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
I'm looking at at the week six? Stop.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
What's got going on?
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Yeah? Put about to predict the whole season, right, Sorry
you missed it.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
In the morning. We're still predicted game in the playoffs
now yeah, like man, no season.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Oh man, let's jump out of here. Man, anything you
want to get off your chest any.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Man? I want to definitely blessed, you know, give God's
speed to to any and everyone affected by about the hurricane.
You know, it came to Florida and South Carolina Rea
complete havoc. So I definitely want to you know, the
people with no lights, no you know, no water, just
(42:47):
people that you know, loved ones dying. You know, I
have some family members, you know, get killed. So I definitely,
you know, want to give God I appreciate it. I
definitely want to give God speed to to any and
everyone that's that was effected by US national disaster, natural disaster.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, man, it's people hurt me. That was
just crazy. My sisters traveling to Atlanta for work, Oh
wow this morning m hm and she forgot about, uh,
there's no gas anywhere mm hmmm. So she happened to
(43:28):
stumble across this dude that had gas. He was some
guys for eight fifty a gallon, but he was like,
I ain't trying to I ain't trying to rob you,
but I gotta take care of my family in this man,
she was like, should I understand? But he was the
only option she had. Or sitting on the side of
the road somewhere.
Speaker 2 (43:48):
He was walking around with gas. No he had uh.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Uh, he had a he had cans, he had gas,
cans of ass. But you know it wasn't no gas
station though. M I guess he had like a spot
set up somewhere and you know it was on the
side of the road selling gas.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
So h.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
But I mean she had to get it. She had
to make it because at that point, you wanting overturn,
you can't turn around and go back.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
Yeah. So yeah, she had she had committed. Yeah, committed.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
But yeah, I'm with you, man. I don't think.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
I know.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
I don't really watch the news like that, but I hadn't.
I don't know if it's being covered as much as
it should because I don't think people know how bad
it is. I agree, it's pretty pretty rough.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
I agree.
