What's good man, what's going on? Just getting how I live? Brother?
How you doing? Hey?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Same here, man, same here. So more than a third
of the way, third of the way through the season,
you know, starting to get an idea of what everybody's
looking like. Still got a lot to learn, though, Yeah, yeah, man,
got a lot to talk about the day. We're going
to talk about these trades in the NFL. Talk a
(00:38):
little quarterback, a little pre draft talk, talk about some quarterbacks,
what you know, you know from this past week, and
then we're gonna get our game pixel all right, yeah, man.
Shout out to everybody. Thank you for listening, thank you
for watching. You know where to find us on the

Know where to get it. Man. Man, I won't give
a shout out to al No. It's a big time
for him right now. It's baseball, the championship series, like
(01:20):
the the Yankees are up right now. The Guardians. So
I know Al is on a plane right now, so
but shout out to al Man. I know this is
your time of year. But like I said last week, Man,
for people who don't know, I'm starting to think that
(01:44):
have have you ever seen Al and Pool in the
same room? Never on the show together? I don't know what,
I don't know, but maybe it's just a conspiracy theory.
I think y'all might be cloned. You're all the time.
But yeah, sat out the man. What makes you safe?
Travels bro, no doubt?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Jo Did you say the Guardians?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, the Cleveland Indians are now the Guardians.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Wow? Yeah, city, No.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
It's still Cleveland Indians name. Yeah, probably with that like
ass logo they had, I mean with a cheese and
Indians logo. I mean no they have. Remember they had
the big smiling red yeah. Yeah, so so it was offensive,
I guess. So they changed into the Guardians and uh yeah,
(02:42):
I think it's maybe year three two three really yeah wow,
So it's literally not your Granddaddy's Guardians, right right, Indians
not your granddad's Indians. They are not the same anymore.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
So yeah, so I got used to that, and then
I find Man I know we don't really I guess
ours out here, but there's a there's a new hockey
team in Utah mm hmm. The new NHL team in
Utah now, so yeah, uh, the more things change mm hmm.
(03:25):
But just wake me up when they bring an NBA
team back to Seattle. Yeah, I'll be rocket, Yeah, long
as it's the Sonic, as long as I'm trying to
go with the new name, you know, the Dragons or something.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
The hump backs.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Right, the biggie box, the sir makes a lot right, right,
right right, yeah man? So yeah, man, let's get right
into it. Man's a flory of trades today. First, the
big one, uh, Davontae Adams. The question the trade a
(04:11):
little over a week ago, and it's been granted shipped
to the Jets for essentially a conditional third round pick.
We can go to a second if they go to
the AFC Championship or the Super Bowl and he plays,
or if he's named first or second team All Pro
by AP so it's a third round pick. None of
(04:31):
those things happened. First question is will this how much
does this matter to the Jets, Like is the team
good enough for this to even matter?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I think I think the offense is you know, they're
gonna roll, but the offensive line is poors. But I
still think guys are dropping balls and guys or not
where Aaron Rodgers expect them to be. So Adam's going
to clean I think it's going to clean a lot
(05:08):
of it up. However, the Jets, and it's funny that
I say that the Jets are the Jets of old,
like the last three years, you know, with that stifling
defense and no matter where they go, where they travel to,
you know, they're packing their defense. The young rookie kid
us for you know, ninety seven yarf twenty carriers, like
(05:30):
they couldn't stop a nose league last night, right, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, it's difficult, like to carry that season after seven
to have your defense be like I have to carry
your offense like they did last year and they have
to do it again this year. It's tough to do. Yeah,
it's only you know, special units can do that. I
don't think they're quite special. They're good. I don't think
(05:56):
they're quite that special. And do you think this is
a sign of just the Raiders throw it in the town?
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah? Yeah, they yo, they really, they really dropped the
ball by not going after Justin Fields. Yeah, I think so.
I mean I like Minshew, but I mean Minshew and
Justin a like that, those are two different animals, you know,
(06:26):
to me, So I just really think they dropped the
ball on that. You know a few things that they're
left out there on the table. So they're just like,
you know what, let's just play for the number one,
number two pick, whatever whatever happens. They gave up the money,
I mean, you know, they they they're not going to
have that huge contract. You know, I think they're not
(06:47):
because they read I think I read the Jets and
take it up the salary.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Right, yeah, you know, the more the more games he plays,
the less they have to pay.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
But it yeah, that's kind of that's kind of starting
them over there. Don't have a huge quarterback. They're not
paying the running back. They're not paying the right receiver.
The only person that's making money probably is Max Max Crosby,
so they can do a lot they can. And Christian Wilks, Yeah,
(07:16):
they're paying him with one hundred and ten medal or
something like that.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, something like that. And the left tackle Coton, Yeah,
I don't think he's one of the highest paid, but
he's you know.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's decent. He's a market markete I.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Mean, and none of his quarterback money, so.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
They can right, Yo, is Christian Wilkins out there? I
don't hear his name when I when I watched the game.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
All, yeah, he got injured. He's out, he's on IR.
He got injured last week. So yeah, last week is
the first game he missed. But he's playing pretty decent
before they okay, yeah, so just another I don't know
if he'll be out for the IUR season, but he's
you know, at least out for four weeks. I think
(08:03):
he something list frank injury.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Something like that.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yeah, okay, well yeah, but we'll talk more about possible
quarterbacks that you know they could be looking at this
upcoming draft. Uh later. Second trade Cleveland Brown, speaking throwing
in the South, they have shipped to Mary Cooper to
(08:30):
Buffalo for essentially for a third round pick. I think
it was a mari and a seventh for a third
and sixth m hm. So essentially a third round pick,
in my opinion, is something Buffalo could use. What what
does this do for Buffalo's chances? I mean, I know
(08:51):
they're in first place in the f C East, but
they've been kind of up and down, you know, play wise.
What do you think it's does for Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
I'll think it's gonna it gives them a guy that's
gonna get open, play in and play out, a guy
that he can really depend on, excellent route runner. He's
gonna catch the damn ball, you know, So I think
it gives him. I mean, we all know Mary Cooper
is a he's a legit number one, so you know
he's getting along in the tube. However, he's still legit
(09:20):
number one, right, so it is you know, I think
they kind of I mean, they got a they got
a good ball player for you know, I think he
got a new deal coming up with like two years
because I know he was clamoring about who's speaking to
the Browns about the new deals? Yeah, but you know,
who knows that they're gonna resign them. But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
I mean, I know it's a lot going on in
Cleveland right now, do you what are you? I mean,
I know we keep coming back to this, but it's
it's the obvious that Watson contract kind of hamstrings them
as far as their flexibility. I think it's if they
were to, like if they were to cut him or
(10:04):
if they were to trade him, which is unlikely. But
even if they found somebody like Carolina who has a
lot of capital just to take him off their hands
and also give them a first round pick. Even if
they do, that's eighty five million dollars in dead cap
money this year, well next year and the following year.
(10:29):
It's impossible. They just pretty much got to keep eating
this contract until it runs out. And I mean, I
think now the smart thing to do is like they're doing,
is acquiring draft capital. I mean, there's seasons in the tank.
And do you see any other way for them out
of this mess?
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I think they see what they got him, a young
kid man. The Shawn's man is just and it hurts me,
you know, you know, you know I talked about yeah,
but he's uh, you knowing the words of Bill Watson, man,
the Great Bill Walton, just shoving himself.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
He's just showing himself man and putting down man.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
And even I mean, even if they even they end
up with the top them, they will with the top
three pick, top five pick. You draft a young quarterback,
you still got an eighty five million dollar Avatross on
your bench if you decide to go with the rookie.
But they've you know, so many holes there. Their offensive
(11:39):
line has gotten old. Uh, so they could use the
left tackle, right tackle, probably a guard, maybe a center.
My mouths, Garrett is the only effective player on their
d line really, so they need a edge rusher a
court like this. That's a lot on that. And so
(12:02):
I know I said last week. I don't know if
you heard that part, but me and now talked about
the teams we hate in our division. Seems we love
to see suffer the most, and the Browns was mine,
so I don't feel bad for him. But it's ugly, man,
It's it's ugly, and it's no. No that light at
(12:25):
the end of the tunnel. This might be a trade mhm,
So a lot to clean up there. But first step,
I guess getting rid of Cooper and rebuilding from here.
Another trade, a minor trade. I guess it is cam Acres,
going back to the vikings from the Rams. Is this
(12:48):
shift has moved the needle at all?
Speaker 2 (12:50):
It doesn't. But the only thing that tells me is
that that's the kid man, the kid that came over
from Green Bay. No. No, no to Jones, Aaron Jones, maybe
his injury may be more serious than what we thought
(13:12):
it was. If they made a move for Cam Akers,
I mean, what you know, they was proble. I'm pretty
sure they got somebody to practice. Squad can do what
Cam can do, right, No, not not knocking Cam, but
he's not you know, you don't have two torn what
you call those things, not hamstrings achilles, you know, so
(13:35):
Cam is not. I mean, the gotta be some guys
out there that can do what Cam can do.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean I guess it's good to have
a yeah, reliable sort of Yeah. Yeah, if you don't
know what you know what you what Jones? You know
the extent of his an injury at this point mm hmm,
But yeah, I agree, you don't really move the needle.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
But it's a body, good body. Yeah, m hm.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Did you see any know you see any other trades
that you think may happen or something you'd like to
see happen.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Mm hmm. I can't think of any. I mean, I
wanted Davante out of there because they're they're tank and
I really thought, well, I knew it was nowhere in
the hell that the Raiders would trade him to the Chiefs,
you know, so they know way they wouldn't do that.
I'm kind of surprided that they didn't get in on Cooper,
(14:37):
you know. But I can't think of anyone that I
would like to see because I know no one's gonna
give us a left tackle or center or anything like that.
So I can't think of anyone. Oh, I would love
to see Hassan Reddick, either on the field or get traded.
(14:58):
You know, he's a really good place. They're just wasting
the season away. I mean, I want to see him somewhere.
And I don't want to see him with the Lions,
you know, because they talking about going after the past Russia.
I don't want to see them with the Lions.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
It could happen, considering what just happened to Hutchinson, so
it could happen. They've granted him present permission to seek
the trade.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
So you know, yeah, man, in any all these all
these wide receivers flying around, Man, I love to see
one land in Pittsburgh. We need something, we need Van Jefferson,
ain't it, man. I mean, man, we knew that coming
(15:47):
into the season. Really, I think it was more wishful thinking.
But Van is more of a yeah, he's your wide
receiver number four, you're good, but then the number two.
So of course, you know, the names come up with
teams that are struggling, that have wide out STU could
be on the move, you know, Hopkins could be on
(16:10):
the move out of Tennessee. Christian Kirk out of Jacksonville,
Mike Williams out of the Jets.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Not the guy Adam, I did hear that.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I like Mike Williams, but I just think his skill
set is a bit redundant to George Pickens. They're both
kind of contested catch guys and sideline beasts. I mean,
I take him. You know, Van ain't even that vans
skills set is right. But out of those, I would
(16:48):
probably probably prefer Hopkins. You know, Vet is not too expensive.
Somebody who can get get opened quickly in the immediate route, sure,
and somebody I think that will be, you know, a
good guy in the locker room, Christian Kirk.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
SA learn a lot.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
They cook similar type guys, I think Christian Kirk, although
I love his speed and explosiveness, he just can't stay
healthy consistently. So and any of the other twelve thousand
receivers in the league who would help us right now,
(17:33):
especially if they decide to go with Russ. Russell need receivers.
Rus can't get out of there like justin so we'll see.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
You think they're rumbling about bringing it Rustling.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
I mean, you know Mike Tumlin's press conference today and
he was asked the question like, now that Russ is healthy,
will he see first team reps in practice? Like, yeah,
he'll see first team reps, but they both will. And
then he was asked, is it a possibility that he
starts next week? We won't know until you know later
(18:08):
this week. He's not gonna tell you if he's started
out of course, you know, keeps the other team guessing.
But he said it's a possibility, it's under consideration. Of course,
the media ran with it, and now it's every article
you read, all big changes in the quarterback room and Pittsburgh.
I'm like, man, but I mean, of course, it's a possibility.
(18:30):
Just it ain't been perfect. And if you got a
guy like Rustling your bitch, at least in practice, you
got to see what you got. You know, if he's
gonna see if he makes the offense, better. It's gonna
be hard to do after you just got off of
thirty two to thirteen win to change quarterbacks, and when
(18:53):
you're four and two, it's tough to do. But I
get it now. Man, I'm not there to see Russ
in practice every day and see Justin in practice every day.
I don't know what they look like, but it seems
like everybody respects them or they're saying all the right stuff,
and then you know the players are. But I think
you have to take that opportunity to see what you got,
at least in practice, see how he looks at the
(19:14):
first team.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
You know that's why you sign them both, so we'll see.
No Russ gets in and get out there and stinks
it up, you go back to justice.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
M hmm.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
But I mean I wouldn't take Justin out at this point,
all right, maeah man. So we mentioned the Raiders, the
Browns possible court and possible quarterbacks that they could be
(19:52):
looking at next year, and on the free agent list
for quarterbacks for next year, the quarterbacks that are not
currently under contract for next year, Justin Fields is the
number one.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
So it's right back where they were and I don't
think Pittsburgh is gonna let him get out the door.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Right.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
So we're looking at draft picks. Look at the top
names in the draft at this point, looking at Shador
Sanders Colorado, Carson Back from Georgia, cam Ward from Miami.
H just those three guys m hum ranked ranked them
(20:34):
for me as a man.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
To me, I have I have Cam and Ward to me,
their neck and.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Neck, but I've seen Cam shor Cam wh yeah, Cam door.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
To me, they're they're kind of like neck to neck. However,
I've seen should be I guess more games, I see
him more out of him with just flat out really
barely any talent around him, especially on the offensive line,
and he you know, he make make plays, make throws pinpoint.
(21:15):
But I'm like I said, their neck and neck. But
I'm gonna give the doors the slight being camped and
the back back he played football, he I mean, but
he's flooded with talent. I just don't see I just
I'm not gonna say I don't see it out of him.
(21:35):
But I just think he is more of a product
of the system. And I could be wrong.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Yeah, It's it's always difficult to judge college quarterbacks who
have everything around them for as prospects because you don't
really see them under adversity. The times we've seen him
under adversity was just recently against Alabama. It was they
(22:03):
were down by thirty in the first half. You got
to put yourself in a hole because he played horribly.
You put yourself in a hole you can dig out of. So,
you know, but consistently he's got the best ten teammates
on the field, right right, So yeah, it's it's tough.
(22:24):
And I have Chador and camrahead. I do agree Shador
he does a lot with less and he he plays
(22:45):
the game the right way. You know, he he can
read defenses. Arm talent is not elite, but it's good enough.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Hm.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
My only knock on cam Ward is he gets a
little arm egotistical at times. We think he can throw
it anyway. So yeah, but extremely talented. It's gonna be
fun to watch this play out. And I think this
(23:18):
this draft class, this quarterback class next year was a
little pre underrated because the last years was so hyped
and I think people just kind of assume that this one,
this class wasn't gonna be as good. But I think
it's shaped up to be pretty decent.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Mkay. What what classification is the kid Gabriel from Oregon.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
He's a singer, Okay, yeah, I like him too.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, he just makes the he just makes the plays right,
But don't I don't see a really great, like strong
arm out of him. He gets it there, he's definitely accurate.
I don't see it. I don't see a cannon.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Out yeah, exactly. Yeah. Maybe it's maybe I'm scouting the
helm in a little from bow Nicks from last year.
But Dylan Gabriel seems like he kind of in the
bow Knicks mode, doesn't take a lot of chances, a
check down merchant a little bit m hm. So I'm
(24:25):
not sure if he has has the mentality or the arm,
chalent talent for the next level. So I don't see
him the first round prospect. Some Cam risings out there,
but he just got injured for the season. Yeah, So
(24:46):
it's I think those top three are going to be solidified. Yeah,
but we got a long way to go, right, So
after the last week, what what do you know that
you know? After Week six.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Cowboys in trouble.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Man.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Boy that was in trouble Man A lot has changed
since week one because I really thought, like I was, like,
whoa boy, they coming out like gang busters. They could
really because I remember making a statement about them, hey man, cowboys.
Cowboys might be they might be on something, but you
(25:35):
know what they are. We thought they were.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
We thought they were.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yeah. I think the one thing that game against Detroit
kind of proved was Dan Campbell's petties.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Mm hm he mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
So remember last year, the last year and the lines
played Dallas, so the lines got called for like a
legal man down there when when Dan Skipper was in
the extra offensive lineman was in the game and they
got a penalty. First player of the game, he brings
(26:17):
Dan Skipper in his extra blocker. Then when they have
twenty seven to three, he got Dan Skipper out wide
running routes. The man ran a slant like they just yeah,
he was just rubbing their facing it. And I like
that kind of pettiness man, like especially you know, against
(26:37):
the Cowboys. Everybody likes to see that, except for Cowboys fan,
but I like that. I'd like to see, you know,
sometimes it's good not to see jersey swaps and hugs
after the game. You hate somebody, you hate them. I
like that sometimes. But yeah, it was Petty's hell.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
But I like it.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
But again, like you just mentioned huge costly injury for
Detroit and what a nudgings. Uh that's tough.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
It's in me. It's like maybe it's because it's just
like every week the Steelers play, our opponent is missing
like a superstar. Started with Dallas State missing Micah and
DeMarcus Lawrence. It was the last one with the Raiders.
I missed. Think Christian Wilkins gets hurt. He now he's going.
(27:31):
Now we got Washington coming up. Jonathan Allen's hurt, he's
gonna be missing.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Now's somebody else heard today is gonna It's like everybody
Cable and Thibodau the Giants. Now he's hurt, he's hurt. Yeah,
he missed last week's game.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Yeah yeah, some kid was in there. I ain't ain't nobody, Yeah,
Joe Schmoe whatever, you're right. He had like two sacks though.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
There's somebody else. Oh, Chuck Clark for the Jets. Now
he's hurt. So this is last year. It was like
all the quarterbacks were getting hurt and it was like
a year of the backup but now it's just like
defenders everywhere getting hurt.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Man.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
But I mean nobody cries for us when I played
hurt so right, Yeah, one thing I know I know
at the week seven.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
So you remember when John Gruden had that show on
ESPN for the draft. It was like with the Chuck
with the quarterbacks on the white board. Mm hmmm, and
he bring them all in, asked him to write a play,
and I remember he had it was Jimmy Clawson on
(29:09):
the whiteboard. I think it was. And yes, Jimmy Clawson,
because he asked him about a play he threw an
interception on and Jimmy Classon blamed his receiver, Golden Tap.
He blamed Golden Tate. And I'm going somewhere with this
(29:31):
final John Gruten stopped and was like, no, when you
asked about an interception, it's always your fault, betiful. And
so to see Aaron Rodgers throw Mike Williams under the
bus last night after that interception told me two things.
(29:53):
Aaron Rodgers still can't take accountability for shit, and two
he is done with Mike Wood.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
It's well documented that you know Williams has struggled and
he's been trying to please, you know, get it, get
earn Aaron Rodgers trust, and it just hadn't worked out.
But when it gets to that point when it's press conference,
he's basically blaming you, and in detail that's telling you
(30:25):
he's done. So I think that's why they brought in,
you know, another solidified why they brought Davontae Adamson. But
I say that Rogers pretty much. They asked him about
this because they were down down by three, driving like
three minutes to go and Aaron Rodgers doing an interception.
(30:49):
His explanation was it was supposed to be two streaks,
one guy down the scene and the other guy, Mike Williams,
was supposed to run down the red land, which is
you know, about four y five yards inside the sideline.
And he said, when he looked over, because he had
us on the street, I won't be seen. He looked over,
(31:12):
Mike Williams was running to dig so he had to
justice throw and try to adjust, you know, based off
a way saw the route going, which I'm not. I'm
not in the huddle, No I'm not. You know, we
don't have a we're not privy to what's going on,
But it didn't look like that. To me, it looked well,
(31:36):
even if he did one, he still could have made
it if he threw it to where it's supposed to go.
And if you couldn't, nobody was out there. It's second down,
three minutes to go in like it's the hell. Like
it's the hell, Mary, throw it away and play the
next play. But to say that in the press conference
(32:00):
and specifically and go into detail of how you blame
Mike Williams for that, that speaks for argus to me.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
And So I say all that to say is I
think their issues in New York are bigger than firing
your head coach or bringing in a new receiver. When
you got a Ford, a forty year old quarterback who
won't take accountability and start throwing his teammates under the bus,
you got bigger issues.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
So I say all that to say, I think the
Jets are in trouble with it without Adams, and they're
stuck with Aaron Rodgers until he says he's done.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
So could be wrong. I hope I'm not. We'll see, right,
I know, I hope something mm hmmm. Anyway, man's getting
into these games. Thursday night, we got Denver traveling to
New Orleans the Sean Payton Bowl. Who you taking.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
I'm gonna go ahead and take I know Denver's flying high,
they're packing their defense. I'm gonna take the young Spencer
Rattler man.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Okay, all right? On Sunday, got the early the it's
it London's London game or Germany game is a London game.
It's another London I think. So we've got New England
against Jacksonville. Jacksonville is technically the home team. It's so
(33:44):
weird now. I still gotta get used to seeing the
New England logo and remembering that they're not great anymore.
But who you taking?
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Man?
Speaker 1 (33:54):
This is uh, it's gonna be a pretty ugly game, bro.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
I'm taking may Man. They didn't look so. He didn't
look too bad. He think he threw three touchdowns to
Russell like fifty yards. I think he's gonna be I
think gonna be all right, man. I'm taking New.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
May over Trevor.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, I'm taking did He did play pretty good against
us though, Yeah, he looked pretty good. He looked like yeah,
yees yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
First one o'clock game we got Seattle traveling east to Atlanta?
Are you taking.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
I'm taking him? Dirty birds at a town start? Man? Uh?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Tennessee going to Buffalo. What you got Buffalo? Tennessee and Buffalo?
All right? Division matchup? Got Cincinnati going to Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
What do you think Cincinnati? Man? Did? What I out
of it right now? Ye don't. I don't even know
if you're ever gonna be back in it. Like I said,
I love to be white man. That was my guy,
one of my favorite college players ever. You know, that's
all I used to talk about. You know, I just
wish I just hate to see it come to this man,
(35:17):
when when it's the player you're really really fond of
and you just you just hate to see him that way. Man.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah, yeah, I ain't gonn hard on it.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
I feel you because we just talked about him enough.
I ain't gonna on the dude. Yeah, that's just yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
It hurts. It really hurts. And Nick Chubb might be
back this Yeah. He on the Fantasy Joint. He's slated
for points.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Yeah, So I mean it should be if if Cleveland
can't score, if Cleveland can't score on Cincinnati's defense, they
in trouble. Since that defense is able.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
So my thing is like, do they see wasn't Nick
Chubb is or just do they sit in because they're
not going anywhere. But I guess they have to see
where he is because if not, they might have to
drive one. So I guess they got to see what
he has left.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Right, Yeah, And I think so. And I mean still
early enough in the season where.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
You know anything, anything can happen.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
And two, if he's available, you gotta play it. Yeah, yeah,
should be an interesting We got Houston traveling to green Bay.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Mm hmmm, mm hmmm. We'll take the home team.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Called green Bay.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Mhm.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Right. Another one o'clock game, got Miami traveling to Indy
and on the coach taking Indy. Yeah, man, Bob, he
ain't walking through that door.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, man, as long as they as long as that
kid on the sideline, man. And then if Joe Flacco plays,
he's gonna light it up, you know. But the other kid,
I mean Richardson, he's learning. They I think they have
like twenty points a game with him, but they have
his thirty points a game with Joe.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
So Joe just on this put a young quarterback out
of his out of a job tour he's just stepping
in on one year contracts, putting young quarterbacks out.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Of job and slinging it. Man, he's flinging.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Sure, sure, hit man.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Another ago in Detroit traveling to Minnesota. I know you
wish both lose, true, Yeah, taking.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Mm hm taking taking the home team, taking solder.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Okay, mm hmm. Yeah, I'm with you man. At this point,
I think I think Brian Flores can make any quarterback
below average.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
I'm with you, man, And I don't think they're gonna
be able to get after Sam. They're gonna bring some heat,
but without Aiden liking you know, for a guy for
a guy defense or d line and defense have to
bring somebody. Yeah, because because Minnesota has a pretty good
line as well. So but without that monster Aiden Hutchison,
(38:44):
which is a match up, a mismatch against anyone. So
I just don't you know. I'm going with the Vikes.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Yeah, got you another divisional game, Philly, going up to
turn Practice. Take on the Giants. You're taking, I'm taking Philly.
It's not gonna be a music game, tho, No, I
shouldn't be. Then the Beast's coming back. The Beasts coming back.
(39:14):
Far two concussions. Yeah, he's special man. Kids still leading
the league reception.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Yeah, get in the bag of chips man.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Speaking of which, two things. One, I don't know how
l s U does it. They have like first team
All Pro receivers at the same time. Three times they
came out in the same class. So I say that
to ask you this rank these pairings for me asue receivers.
(39:47):
You're taking O'Dell and.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
What's the ne.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
O'Dell and Landry chasing Jefferson or Brian's and neighbors.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Yeah, just what I but just from what I saw,
Jefferson and Chase like like that, that's the that's the
kid broke a record like he threw for like sixty
two touchdowns or something crazy. Borough Borough with that with
that squad man, he I'm gonna go with them because
they had another receive whatever was drafted too. I can't
recall who it was though.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
It Teris Marshall, No Marshall, No Terres Marshall. What d
you I think he was there before? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Okay, I thought it was Georgia. I'm thinking about the
running back Marshall. Must be they got drafted Redskins. Yeah, okay, yeah,
but I'm I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with
the chasing Jefferson. Okay, yeah, yeah, can't go wrong either way.
(41:04):
No no, no, no way, no way.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
I started four o'clock games going, uh, West Coast Battle
the Vegas, going back to La to take on the Rams.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Take on the Rams. I'm going to Rams. I think
Cooper may be back this week. Maybe we can. They
can start getting Matthew some weapons back in in the fold.
You know that's not running backs. So I'm going with
the Rams this week.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Okay, all right, Carolina traveling to Washington take on the Commanders.
So you got.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
I'm going to upset. Okay, I'm going to upset. I'm
taking uh, I'm taking the red rifle. He's gonna come
out slinging it.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
They defense, Really it's not as bad as you think
they are. You know, they got it. Oh my god, Jay,
they got a young stud middle linebacker. Then they took
him in the third round. Kiss and Wilders. I think
he had eighteen tackles against Kentucky. Yeah, and he had
fifteen tackles last week. Oh. Jay, they they found they
(42:27):
found that, they found them. Middle linebacker Josie Jewel they're
gonna move him outside. Man, Jay, they got them, but
they got them a dan another damn that kids an animal? Really, yes,
check him out, chake him out. Man, he's everywhere. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
I remember in the drafts and uh he was decent there,
so yeah, I check him out.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Okay, did you do you remember in the sec mm hmm,
because man, he a beast.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
I remember in the draft process.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Okay, okay, okay, yo.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
It was funny last week so commentators. I don't even
know who the commentator was in the Panthers game last week,
but I just saw the highlight and the kid was
saying like he was in mid sentence and they they
had the camera on Bryce Young, and the commentator was like, yeah,
(43:22):
it'd be good for him. It's gonna be great for
him to learn learn from a professional. And time he
said professional and it done through a pick. You know
that was the funniest said Oh my god, yea the time.
(43:42):
It couldn't have been better over that.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
No, that's sounds funny.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
Oh man, we got Kansas City traveling the same friend.
Let me take.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Him, okay, can I'm taking Kansas City? Okay? Mm hmmm,
I don't know. I don't I don't know who they
(44:14):
you know, if they're playing the young rookie yet running back,
I don't know if Mason gonna go. They don't have Yeah,
they don't have the Swiss Army night, you know, and uh,
well Debo and you know McCaffrey. They're gonna be able
to throw it a little bit. But the Chiefs played
really really good defense. They played really really good d
(44:37):
defensive team. Yeah, and I'm expecting Juju to have one
hundred yards receiving. You know, he's a Kelsey of course
is not you know, he's not traving Kelsey gold. And
I really think San Francisco is gonna have a tough
time stop and Hunt. Yeah, look good, he looked good.
(45:01):
I think he's gonna do his thing and and you
know Worth, he's gonna take the top off. But I mean,
I think they're gonna be a move the ball.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Okay, Sunday night that the Jets, the afore mentioned Jets
traveling to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
You taking, mm hmm. Thinks gonna be tough.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
Thing's gonna be tough, But I think it's gonna be
more scoring than than what we think it is. But
I'm still still the age. I think they have Mobiley
coming back this week and they're really missing them, you know.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
That middle Yeah they are even Quincy Williams the other linebackers.
But yeah, I'm I mean pitch or it's gonna be
a close game. Yeah, got two Monday night games. Why
do they keep doing this?
Speaker 2 (46:08):
I don't know what about it? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
And uh I got one on ESPN and one exclusively
on ESPN Plus.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Like like the NFL don't want people to watch their game.
You gotta pay for everything. But anyway, Baltimore traveling to Tampa.
Who you got?
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Mm hmm. I'll play Tampa, Okay, I want.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
To that'sk no more.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
I hope you're right.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
That's at eight fifteen, the nine o'clock game on ESPN
Plus the Chargers taking on the Cardinals. Is Marvin playing?
And we got a concussion last.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
Week and there's still up in the air. He has
points listed. I think he was limited today in practice. No, no,
he didn't practice day, he didn't practice the day. We
won't have any information about it until tomorrow. So but
they have points beside his name. So that's all I know.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Kay, who are you taking.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
I'm going to take the cards.
Speaker 5 (47:27):
Okay, mm hmm. All right, Oh well, good luck this week.
That's it, that's it. Oh we gotta we gotta buy
I guess it. So yeah, you won't say no boders.
Yeah we off this week. Yeah well yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
But I an't think that's good one. Yeah, y'all off.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Off the yeah. Man, then we come back and we
go to uh go to Washington. You see that inflex
that game, the flexing games already they gave CBS an
additional game. My game is gonna come on in three fifteen.
Oh wow mm hmmm, reflex with the three fifteen and
(48:12):
they gave it to Yeah, it's gonna be on CBS.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
And that's odd though, because the NFL don't on Fox.
Well you know they yeah, I mean the NBC, I
mean yeah, NFC NC.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Yeah yeah, you said everything. But you know they took
away those CBS for a f C and Fox for
the NFC. They yeah, last year they took it away
and this year they went all in. So it's basically
they just put it. It's like a free fraud. Okay, Yeah,
(48:48):
I hate that because I hate Foxes coverage.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
You do, yeah, so bad. But We were so used
to that. Man, they've been doing that ever since we
can remember, right, Yeah, and we just looked forward for that,
like okay, NFC, we're going to the NFT channel. It
was just.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
You got a channel search. Yeah. Man, that's between that
and no more SEC on CBS. Like what's that about
the contract? Their contract?
Speaker 2 (49:26):
Oh so just going with the SEC network I.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Mean yeah, I mean something like that will be whatever
whatever wherever. Yeah. So it's weird changing time mm hmm. Anyway, man,
if we get out of here, you got anything you
want to get off your chest? Any part shops?
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Ain't got no partn shops. Man. But we got to
drive down the DA take my son on recruiting visit
Concord University in West Virginia for our ride with some
luck and uh, I hope they're making my offer, you know,
so we'll see man. Yeah, God wish yeah, get that safety,
(50:06):
God bless us. Get that safe to get back safe.
We'll get there safe safely and get back safely. Yeah,
I got it. I speak out of control right now.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
M that's safe. Yeah man, good stuff man, Two things
one safe travels two man, enjoy these time man, and
uh about to be out of the house. Time is
winding down, But enjoy these times. Man, he's recruiting trips
(50:42):
and that's what's up, you know, And tell him to
enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
Man.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
It's no doubt you never You only get to do
this once, right, You're right, like, this is literally something
you only get to do once. So you know, even
if you play on the next level, you'll never be
recruited again.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (51:09):
Yeah, So tell them to enjoy it and tell them,
you know, all the food they give them because they're
gonna feed.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Them on.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Every trip and and go on every one day invited to.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
It's a fun time. This was up. Good stuff. Man,
We'll do yeah, man.
Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah, I really got nothing crazy man again. Prayer shout
outs to everybody in Florida and people still in North
Carolina still dealing with it. Georgia.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
Uh h yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
Hopefully this is the last we've seen this year the
hurricane season. I got a few clients that are in
Florida and they were right in it clear Water and
Tampa area. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as they thought
that we're hitting their areas, but I know it's bad
for a lot of people. I got family there too,
(52:06):
so no power is starting to be restored, but there's
still no flooding going on. So you know, anything to
do to help, whether it's just prayers or yeah, well
wishes if you can donate what you can. Man, people
still shoggling, no doubt, no doubt. But anyway, man, that's
(52:29):
all we got. Man again, shout out to Al. Everybody.
Enjoy your games this week. And as me and AL
said last week, it's the best time of year in sports.
You got the NFL, college football, w NBA playoffs, baseball playoffs.
I know I'm missing something.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
NBA should be coming on with NBA.
Speaker 1 (52:50):
NBA and preseasons going on right now, college basketball is
coming up, So enjoy this little two week stretch because
next thing you know, we'll be back in June. There's
nothing but basement.
Speaker 2 (53:02):
So watching paint dry.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
Call him pool every five minute. What you're doing, what
you're doing, man, So it's all enjoyed. Man, Enjoy week seven.
If you gotta buy hope all your players get healthy.
Speaker 2 (53:20):
Man.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
We'll talk to y'all next week man. Until then, the
fire life, fire life
