welcome back to the Degenerate Gambler. It's Wednesday, the Sabath
of August, starting a new season. It's actually season five.

Took a bit more of an extent to break over
the summer that we're going to usually too, usually two
episodes when it's you know, the Euro's, the World Cup
or whatever it's own. But I did this year. I
don't know. I just couldn't be bothered, to be honest
with you, and it was just so much football and
every day I've been hard to give out bats or
you know, stuff like that, so it wouldn't have really
been offering any bats, so I didn't do it. But

as we know, the EFL is back this week and
then the Premier League and some other European leagues back
next week, so I'll be back to the regular episode
as we were before, usually on a Wednesday or Thursday.
So this week I've only I've picked one bat for
the weekend. I'll give you the idea of some of

the things I'm going to change this year some of
the things I'm going to do. I've also only got
one right bat picked this year. I'm probably going to
do one more, which will be a goal scorer one.
But the one half got picked, I got it actually
for free because I had a ten pound free beat
on bat three six five after the Euros. Nothing the usual.
So the outright bat I've got is Spurs top six

looting to get promoted, Don Coster top seven bolting to
get promoted, and Forest Green top seven. I think you
for tenor pays over thousand pounds, so pretty decent, and
I'll probably paid fifteen, maybe even twenty pounds on a
top team goal scorer beat. So I'm just sort of
making them a choice. Nay, I'll probably have that for
next week, but before going on to the bats. So

some of the things that are new this season, not
just for me but in general, are there's a lot
more games in the UFL going to be on a
twelve thirty Friday nights on five thirty on a Saturday.
I think they're showing so many more games than they
used to. So look ahead the next few weeks fixtures
and there's at least three. I think it is early

kickoffs in the championship every week, which is going to
have positives and negatives. There's obviously going to be more
selections for an early bet, which is good, but it
also does cut your selections you have for a three
o'clock bet there. But you know, for me, you know,

I'll go anywhere. You know, I'll go into Germany and
it lay and spaying and whatever a fancy. So on
a Saturday, there's still going to be you know, fifty sixty,
seventy even maybe this closes to one hundred games when
you're taking you know, National League, Nationallygue North South at
least being whatever. So look, it might actually be a
good thing, but that's something that that's going to affect

the way people gamble other things. Speaking about changes, So
on a Sunday, and I did it last week, it
was unlucky I got you know, I didn't get the
bet up. But on a Sunday, you know, there was
times where I was looking through my spenditure last year expenses,
you know, how much was putting on bets, and there
was a lot of Sundays that I was doing fifteen,

twenty twenty five, maybe even thirty pounds orf for bets
on a Sunday because there was pecking bats either that
roun all day that were bait early on. Then I'm reloading,
or I'm taking a group with maybe ten matches that
are on before to two o'clock and pecking five out
of it, which is, you know, limiting which you've got
a choice of. Then I'm pecking from two o'clock to

sort of maybe six, seven, and then I'm pecking another
bet for the eight and Cordy at kickoffs. So it's
like you're sandwiching in bats with less select or less
amount of games to choose from, which then makes and
I've said this before, it it makes you pecked teams
and peck selections and peck things that you don't be
one hundred percent fancy. So what I think I'm going

to do on a Sunday every weeknight is what it
did the weekend, So it would later be a super Yankee,
even a Yankee or Luky fifteen or a Patent or
something some type of bet where even if one or
two is beat, I could still get a decent return. Also,
doing that at those give you the luxury of going
for you know, big praise things. You know, I fancy

somebody go rights plus put it in at it's beat,
you know you still got the other three four or
whatever you've got running. So at the weekend or I
did I think it was five? Was it? And I
got three up? I only got half messal action back.
But the roles short praises to be fair. But the
other two that were beat were both both the score games,

and there were one knell or one team scored. So
you know it's basically two goes away from the winner
and one go away if one of the games had
been up from getting profit. So I just think the
way Saturday or some of these are as far as
kickoff teams, that's the best bet to do, you know,

and don't wrong unless there is a mountain of football.
You know, maybe I will do other bets, but I'm
thinking sort of three four points, maybe even five points
depending on how many A select. But you know, for
a fifteen to twenty twenty five of the most on
a on a you know sort of yankee or as
I say, pattern or whatever you call them. Because you know,

if once beat, your pat's still wrong. You know we're
still a chance to get something back, So yeah, that's
that's definitely gonna be a new way to do it
this week. So before I give my bet, pick and
obviously there's no former now, so currently go in the
detail on what I've picked. The ill give you a
rough idea of what I pick would have picked. But

so when I only pick one bet for a reason,
I may pick up both teams are scoring over bet.
But with the championship and all this week, So the
Championship's all twelve fifteen or twelve thirty, League one is
all five thirty, and League two is all three o'clock,
so it's kind of it's hard to pick a bet there,
you know, three o'clock bet anyway, because you're taking all

them twelve thirty there first start. I don't mind putting
the five thirties in because you'll be waiting on them.
But I don't know what we'll do with an overs.
I'm both to score bet. I may even do a
patent on that, but maybe not a massive stake the
first day of the season, so you know, maybe spend
a little bit more than A normally do because I
haven't been spending. But and I may also just do

a championship bet of the what is there eight games?
I may just do like a small two pounds fifty bet,
you know, half a point on make a selection in
every game or closely every game. It is something as
a way to start the season, similar to what it
did at the end of the season. And there probably
will be a late bet as well, which won't just
include the league one. You know, they'll be if games.

There's a couple of late games in germ Many. There's
a couple of league games in Holland. There's a late
game in Scotland. Switzerland there's a five o'clock on a
seven thirty, so you know there's a decent amount to
pick there. We're else I'm looking at there's a couple
of six thirty in Austria. Where else Belgium has a
late game. Alright, so look this week I'll be a

bit more expanded, sure than normal. But anyway, so that's
the sort of tactic for this year, and that's the
sort of tactic for this week as well. So look,

you know, reasoning why. But at the end of the day,

the only league is kicked off here. I'll have a

So first game is City City, uh, and they're in
a it's at Wembley against you in the Charlie Shield,

you'll have players missing, but I still think we'll win
that game. Next Doncaster at home to Acrington there for
to seven. The reason for that, look, Doncaster really good
at the end of last season. Unlucky not to be
in the playoff mix home advantage, so that's some sort

of reason. The next Birmingham versus Rating and Birmingham at
home sorry to rating for to seven again with this one.
Birmingham favors to go up this year, favors to win
the league. Have bought some good players. They've bought the
I think it was Charting's top goal scorer was one
of the top goal scorers in the league last year.
If I'm not mistaking, let me just don't check this in. Yeah,

so Alfie May where was the season. Yeah, he scored
twenty three goals for charting last year and forty three games,
so he's thirty one years old. But at that level,

The reason they're sort of look at the take game

so that's decently for a bad Wednesday, not so much.
There's only three EFL games and there's some Europa Conference
League and stuff qualification, so Wednesday's not great, but you know,

super only back at the weekend. Then we're straight into
the NFL Cup, so there's planned beyond. I think with
the AFL Cup will probably go with goals over one
and a half over two and a half, maybe both scores.
But yeah, that's it for this week. Back for a
new season. Last year I made some profit, but it

was let's yes, it was a disappointing season. But this year,
you know, I had a reasonable euros. I mean I
got a lot of bets, but I got a few
up and they also had that big horse winner. So
as far as being up for the season, I'm starting
this season with a few quids already in the pot.

So it's just about one that wasting money by doing bets.
And I've talked about this before, wasting you know, reloading
too many bets or like I said, this is the
reason why I'm changing my attactic on a Sunday. You know,
some people might say, well, you know, back twenty I
think it was twenty pounds and two pm Sunday. That's
a big investment. But I got ten I got ten
pound back, so really it was only ten pound down.

Where if I had have done four bets there, those
bets were spread across the day, I'll probably not get it.
If I didn't get any of them up, I'm losing
twenty quid, do you know what I mean? So there
is some sort of tactic to this. I know someone
will followers. Trojan being one of them, has imagined these,

want to win least seventy do you know what I mean?

that thinking and just think of I need to get
winners and I need to keep my expenses, you know,

games in Spanish League, but a couple of games in England,
