Speaker 1 (00:00):
So come you give me.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
You forgot will fell off, I'm still hot, knock your
shell off.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
I'm money stack bat. Plus I can't turn the swell off.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
A franchise through a big.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Fitness, the limits is automatic a winning.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
So you hittos home, you finished a soldier and I
stay under you fighting plus some storm and when it
becomes like I'm thunderous light and you know when you're
breaking new kids, I'm hard as nails. Plus I keep
it on like I'm part of the slaughter of the
stale competitions. I got the whole block pushion they give
me with my division, they go on.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Uh, so, welcome to the show people. This is Wednesday,
December the tenth. Only are a few more dates until
Christmas and uh after that at the end of the year.
So and then for us, it's it's a few more
dates until our year end show, which we will be
doing are our choices opinions on what we thought was
(00:51):
the best of and worst of for the year that
is twenty twenty five for professional wrestling. But tonight we're
here to talk about John Cena and uh, if you
tune into the show, you already know who I am.
I am the prototype Juliari and with me as always
is the doctor Thuganomics.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Actually is justin from spinebuster dot com.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
You have a PhD and thugonomics, Sir, I believe in you.
But uh but no, welcome to the show people, we
are here to talk. It's probably could be too long
of a show. I think, like, I think we can
do an hour at best. Yeah, we can do an Hour's.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Probably gonna go longer most likely.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, probably longer, maybe like an hour and a half
like we usually do. But yeah, rall, I'll just put
out to you I didn't watch RAW. I always saw
clips and from what I saw it really wasn't that
much too. I'm about I really enjoyed it this past week, right,
so you can kind of give your quick thoughts on RAW. Obviously,
me and Jeff lit I don't have.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
To Vidancy, I don't think we should be able to
go into it. So let's just uh yeah, go with
the plan for tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Right, and then Saturday, of course, I did my dad,
We did the Deadline post show with me and Jeff Lipman,
or Evil Dose as he's known as. It was Actually
it was a really good show. We actually got some
you know, some people in the chat and also in
the YouTube chat, and we got some new su for
the show. I'm assuming I'm sorry, Oh no, I took
(02:27):
it too goddamn expensive. Yeah, yeah, I know they were
astronomical Lee High Yeah fuck TK. But but our show
was pretty good, and we got some new subs, you know,
while we were recording, so currently it weren't one seventy eight.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
What was it?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Always that one seventy eight.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
So here's the thing on Thanksgiving, because I usually like,
I'll put up a link saying hey, join the YouTube
Lola La, and I looked at YouTube and it said
so I was like, okay, I'll know if that was
like a if that was like a glitch or whatever.
I'm doing.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
So a lot of times what happens is and I'll
give you insight here. Sometimes bots can subscribe to the channel,
and once YouTube finds out that subbot, you will remove
it from your listing.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, not to say that,
not to say that that's what happened.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
I'm just saying that's I'm thinking.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
I'm thinking that's what happened, because it went from one
to eighty back to one seventy two. But as of late,
especially with a lot of the reels I put up
or shorts wherever you want to call them, not just
for our show, but for the Metal Drive Hoops podcast
I do with my friend Anthony, and also recently with
a Saturday show with Jeff it went from one see
(03:45):
seventy eight, so which is good, good for the show,
good for all of our shows on the channel.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
So typically, and you know, when when it when it
comes to you tube, you know a lot of times
for for growth. From what I've been seeing is that
you know, most folks they began like, you know, twenty
three subscribers a month to uh, I guess, what's the
way I'm trying to look for but to expect to
(04:15):
expect growth on the channel, so right, but you know,
hopefully we'll get there someday.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Right. And I've I noticed because I looked on the
YouTube studio, a lot of our followers or subs come
from the shorts. So the shorts really do help.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Oh yeah, shorts, Yeah, it definitely does help for sure.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
You know when I put them on TikTok, when I
put them on obviously YouTube TikTok or you know Instagram.
So yeah, the short the shorts are the shorts really?
Do they do the channel a lot of good? So
does it do you get more views on.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
On Instagram, TikTok uh YouTube or does it like vary?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
It's kind of in between between TikTok and YouTube. I've
noticed YouTube we're getting more views, especially with like certain
titles if it's like something very topical or something very
I say, clickbaity. Sometimes clickbaity can be good as long
as you're not as long as you're actually talking about
(05:15):
what you're going to talk about, because some people will
use clickbait and then they'll just kind of regurgitate something
that like a thousand people have said already. But in
this case, like like for example, for the show I
do with my friend Anthony, I I put up a
short and during the episode from last week, one of
(05:36):
the conversations that I brought up was about, you know,
the Lebron James and Michael Jordan comparison, and I just
I just I just said, well I've always said, which
is like I never got the comparison because they're two
very different players. Blah blah blah. And that's actually the
highest viewed short that I've ever put up on the channel,
(05:56):
like it's gotten the most likes views and you know commons,
so good, that's awesome, and yeah, yeah YouTube obviously, and
then depending on what the title is, and like the
you know.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
The YouTube is very SEO title oriented. So like if
you have the right titles in your live streams or videos,
like you'll get found a lot faster because like when
you when you type something in right, like if you're
(06:30):
search for a video on YouTube, you're you're you're typing
certain key phrases in so so when you put a
title up, you gotta think about those key phrases on
what you like, Like, you gotta think about It's like
if I'm looking up this video, like, you know, how
would I look it up? At how I'm gonna tal
it based on how I'm looking it up. So it's
(06:52):
just one of those things that you got to like
kind of think about before you.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Like dive into that.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
But when we talk about the all day, we're they
you know, people are not here for.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
The right right just right, just in closing, I noticed
TikTok is where we get the I guess the more
colorful comments is the best way to put it. It's
usually just the people to argue with us, which is
which is funny? One?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
I mean, I welcome people other people's opinions.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
One guy called us out of shape. Nobody's what's that?
One guy called us out of shape? Nobody's okay, Well,
I know I'm not out of shape. I mean I'm
definitely out of shape. Nobody depends on who you ask.
But yeah, it was the video about Stephanie Vacoor about
how ww's failing here so far and again. This dude
(07:44):
had like a picture of a cartoon and only like
seventeen followers. So I just I thought that was funny.
Many who's that's not for that? I mean, I mean
I don't care about that, But I mean I don't either.
I just think it's funny. Uh But yeah, So I guess,
quick thoughts, what do you think of Deadline on Saturday?
Speaker 4 (08:02):
It was a great show, you know, definitely better than
fucking Survivor series, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
You know, the.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Survivor Challenges matches. I know, Survivor Challenges was was great.
They only match it did really loved.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Was uh fuck fuck was it the match?
Speaker 4 (08:30):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
No, I thought that was I thought it was okay,
but it was the the Tam Paxley match.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
I didn't really look anything. It was bad, but you know,
if I had to pick one, I was like, yeah,
I could go.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
But that was was probably that match.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yeah, I mean I I didn't dislike it. I know
Jeff Jeff said he liked it a lot. I just
thought it was okay. The crowd seemed to be into it,
but it kind of it was it was kind of predictable,
Like I had a very predictable ending, just based off
of how Tatum's matches usually in. I mean, the stuff
(09:05):
with the dolls. I know that's her shtick. I just
think it's goofy.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I really like it's kind of like with Alexa Bliss, right,
you know what I mean, like with the whole when
she was doing the whole bray white, you know, gimmick
for a while. And you know, I won't say, I'm
not saying it reminds me, reminds me exactly of that,
But I just, you know, kind of kind of in comparison.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
That's all right. What was your favorite match?
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (09:38):
A favorite match?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Probably the men's Irin Survivor.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Okay, I really liked the women's I thought the women's
was really good, very unpredictable, because I did, you picked
a Jordan Grace, right, I I.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Did, Yes, I did, and I was you know, I
was wrong on that one.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
I'm glad Kendall Gray one because I you know, I
think she has a lot of she has a high
upside on her and uh she is you know, like
to me everything that that I said about her that
you know, I see her kind of like a like
a Brian Dalson type, you know what I mean, as
far as not exactly the same moveset, but timolar fire
(10:22):
and speed and transitions and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
You know, I think I think she has a future,
has a future agreed.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Like, you know, I I feel bad for kind of
overlooking her because I looked at Soul and then I realized,
oh right, Soul's doing the stuff with Zaria, like they're
gonna She's gonna be kept busy with that. Jordan I
think eventually is going to get the title at like
probably takeover Klanie been there, which one, Well, I'm saying
(10:53):
the women's title. I think she's gonna be the one
to take take the title off of jay z.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Oh you said you said take over.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
I'm like, which one?
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah? The Takeover coming before Mania. Oh yeah, Klanie been
there done even though Colonie has been doing good work
with her heel with her heel turn Lola, been there,
done that, and then you got you got Kendall, which
I really wasn't thinking about because I'm like, well, she's
(11:22):
the Evolve Champion, So I don't really know if I
mean eventually they might take the title off of her,
if they're really gonna, you know, go all away with her.
But yeah, she I like her. I do like her.
I mean on Tuesday, shey she needs to really get
better those promos because jac just eviserated her on the mic, like, I.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Mean, look, promos is not everything, just like in rings
and everything, right, So she's gonna get better at that.
They're gonna help her now even though she's like really
really like good as far as in ring wise, what's
her character? What's what's gonna make her stand out? Just
(12:07):
her being a good wrestler ain't gonna, you know, be
the best thing for her. Right. She needs something, either
a character or some type of you know, I mean,
Jessney give me.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
She just needs a character, you know what I mean,
Like Stephanie, Right, Stephanie. She in all theory she doesn't
really have a character. But but but she's but she's
very charismatic.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Right, people do love her.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
So that's the thing I'm thinking is missing from Kendle
Gray right now is charisma and having some type of
some type of character with her because an ring's only
gonna get you far for so long, right, Because like,
even though we see Kendall Gray being very good, if
she was in AW Slash Ring of Honor right now,
she'll it will be the same thing for her where
(12:56):
she's like very very good as far as in ring wise,
but she will have character even more because you know,
AW doesn't really focus on character work. Oh well, I
won't say that, but like they pick and choose on
who they focus on character work on when it comes
to that.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
But I think she has a picture they if they
drew a right byer at the end of the day.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yeah true. I mean again, the point of NXC is
a push new talent, you know, because you can't keep
pushing the same people because eventually it's like, Okay, what
else do we have left for you? You know, we
can put you on the main roster. That's about it.
So but I'm interested to see where Kendall goes. Speaking
of character, what do you think about Shiloh Hill? I
(13:39):
don't get it, Okay, I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Look, look, can he be something in the future. Yes,
I'm not saying that he may not be nothing. He
may not get good as of right now. I don't
see it.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Right was what's the difference between him and Baron Corbin?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
That's I think he's slightly better in the ring than Corbin.
I don't know about that one man, he cud Well. Well,
here here's the thing, so I said the same thing.
I think I was probably being a little bit more
cheeky on social media or just like I hate this already,
but I was kind of joking. But no, I kind
(14:26):
of still don't get it. But then somebody got mad
at me on Twitter. Where do you hate you? I'm like, whatever,
it's not hating on him.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
It's just as like, how many how many of these
guys that we've seen in the past like him?
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Remember Big Andy Well?
Speaker 3 (14:42):
I mean he never even fucking wrestled like in w But.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Regardless, though, it's the look is the how he looks,
and like is he is he good in the ring?
He's okay, but like it's it's not.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
I don't see anything that's gonna stand out with him
and have him be like, okay, five.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Years from that, where do you see him?
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Good point unless he does something like blow us all away,
like you know, yeah, like he has to like.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Really blow us all the way. But like he there's
nothing about him.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Oh sure, okay, yeah, he's kind of you know, he
has a missing tooth. Okay, greatest Crispin Wall that's someone
great to be compared to, right.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
But like him, him and Dexter loomis true, I mean, right,
but is there really much of a major difference.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
At the moment.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
No.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
But but I'll say this, so Jeff Littman kind of
knows a little bit more about him because he he does.
He did the show with that LuFisto where they're coming
covering LFG, so like he kind of knows a little
bit more about him pretty much. The gimmick is him,
like the fact that he's like a I guess, like
what do you call it, like a not like an
(15:54):
internet troll, but like a hacker, and he's into like
you know, conspiracy theories and stuff. And uh, also how
how how how.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
How Jesus christ Man, Like, what the fuck are they
going to be doing? Like we've seen this gimmick. I
don't know how many times or something simis is gimmick?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
How many times?
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Like how how far can this go? I don't know?
But uh, he actually does follow I'll follow us Shiloh good, happy, great?
Speaker 1 (16:25):
What does that matter for him? I don't care.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
I don't know if he's following I don't care if
he's following me. He comes to my shopping it's this
thousand dollars, don't give a ship.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
No, no, no, no no. I agree with you, like,
you know, just because real we're friendly or you know,
whoever to somebody, we still got to be honest. But yeah,
well I'm just pointing out because like one of the
videos I put up for me and Jeff was, you know,
Jeff's thoughts on Shiloh Hill, and he actually followed us
on Twitter and TikTok.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
So that's that's that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yeah, so I mean that's pretty cool. But like, yeah, again,
just you know, I know, I totally get you because
at the end of the day's like he seems like
a nice guy. He's you know, I actually I did
like him on Tuesday. I thought he had a good match.
Granted he had a guy in the ring with him, Lexus,
that kind of made him look better. But again, it's
just one of those things of like we'll see, but
(17:14):
I still don't get it. Like I know, anyone can
come in and be like this is me. I'm like,
I don't get it, and maybe I'm not supposed to
get it. But in wrestling, you know, for the fans,
you got to wow them. Eventually, you gotta win them over.
Like it's not a thing with bookers or they're like
I don't get it, but the fans like it, so whatever.
(17:34):
Like for the fans, we have to be on board
for it. So but eventually, you know, I'm gonna give
this dude a chance.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
But oh yeah, no, I'm not writing them off.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
What I'm saying is is that like there's really like
like okay between him and Baron Corbin, and it's like
it's like we've seen guys like him come through before
and WWE and even like you know, in other wrestling
companies and like it's just whatever, right like him and.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
This this is this is not exactly the.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Same, but like him and bit casts Okay, major difference
between the two. Not really not to me at least,
Like no, you know what I mean. It's like we
see these guys come in and not do anything relevant
in the company. I mean, they may push for a
(18:30):
little bit, and but I'll see this guy being like
a world champion. I don't really see his guy becoming
the Internet and I don't champion or anything like that.
He has to have something like very very unique with him,
and I'm not really seeing it right now with them.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Hopefully I'm wrong. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
Hopefully we'll see something unique with them, you know, over
the next couple of years or whatever.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
But I'm just not seeing it right now. So I
wish him lucky.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Fair Yeah, dead dead deadline over all, Uh, very good show.
I me and Jeff for in agreement that the these
Iron Survivor matches blew out the War Games matches like
they're much better.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
They're any any gimmick match from this year from any
company blew out.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
The war game.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
The War Games match this year, the two war Games
matches this year was the worst gimmick matches that I've
ever seen, not ever, Sorry from this year.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I'm sorry from this year it was the worst gimmick matches.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Hey, can you do me a favorite? Can you take
over for a bit. I gotta go take care of something.
I won't be long.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Okay, right, we're here, guys. Oh Jesus, let's let's go
to the chat here. Guys, have any questions in the chat,
be sure to ask and uh to do quick Q
and A. Here we've got Maurice, here, we got black
tea and seen a hitman?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Se man?
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Is that abyss me? Your picture?
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Almost like abyss a little bit there so, but yeah, but.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Again, if you guys have any questions, shoot down real
quick and uh so if you're cann answer them here.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Let me see if we go to the chat here
real quick and uh.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Hype about Siena's retirement. I have no feeling towards it.
I'm not like, is it gonna be weird with him
being gone?
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (20:29):
But look for me in particular. I like John Cena,
I do, but I didn't grow up with John Cena.
I was already, like you know, in high school when
John Cena was coming up, right. I felt sad when
Undertaker retired. I felt sad when Sean Michael's retired. Like
(20:51):
some wrestlers retiring nowadays. I don't really get bad about,
like unless if it's like an injury or something like
that that's kind of like is there rear or something
like that, or unfortunately a situation like Bray.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Wyatt, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
But I'm not I'm not sad, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
It's gonna be weird of him not coming around obviously
and him not being in attire and he's gonna be
in his suits or whatever, right, but you know, I
wish him the best and wherever he wants to do,
I wish him the best. Rumors brock Lesser's retirement as
(21:31):
soon too. I mean, so guys like Rock and Randy,
guys like that, I mean, they're they're gonna become our truth.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean Archers should
be retired already. But that's just my opinion there.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
But Jericho as well, he's gonna come back to WW
for one last run.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Guys like that, man, they're all gonna be got.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Uh. You know, Punk is around the corner.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Cody's going to be there in about five six years,
Drew's gonna be there in about ten years. Drew McIntyre, right,
maybe maybe less for dreamacintyre. Actually, you know, the Hardy Boys,
you know, they're still going strong there. You know, there's
a lot of guys in the next you know, five
or seven years that's.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Gonna be gone.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
And you know, the Miss not not a lot of
people talking about THEMS, but Miss is gonna be retiring
soon too. You know, You'll you'll have to think, right,
you know, you can't do this forever, you know. So
but I think, yeah, I really, I really think that
we're seeing in Ara here. Yeah, I'm gonna be saying
(22:44):
end of ara here, and yeah, my my era, my
error has ended already. So I think, I think, I
think the really I think literally the only wrestler that
I think is still somewhat wrestling that I grew up watching.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
And not say that this guy was.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Like one of my favorites or anything of all time
or anything like that, but when I first started We'll
ride around time, my first start watching wrestling, Jeff Jarrett,
he's still he's still wrestling a little bit mag and
the well in the Hardys, yeah, because they came around
in like, you know, ninety seven ish before they before
they became active guys on the roster permanently.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
So all right, I'm back.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
All right, bullshit long enough?
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Nice, thank you. Yeah, deadline, we kind of don't want deadline.
Let's see. Oh yeah, h just one of the matches,
uh goes into a match that's gonna happen on Saturday
Night's made event, which was Obafemi versus Ricky Saints, uh,
to which Oba Femmi won. So Oba Femmi is now
(23:52):
the NXT champion yet again, and he'll be facing Cody
Rhodes uh this Saturday Saturday's main event, which we'll be
talking about out in a bit. The stipulation was added
on a Friday Night SmackDown when Ricky Saints and Open
Femmi were in a back stat sept with Cody. Uh. So, yeah,
it's it's a it's a pretty big match, Sena. Just
(24:18):
to kind of skip ahead, Sena's match with Gunther will
be opening the show because he wants the rest of
the show to be dedicated to the towns of NXT,
or maybe wants to spend the rest of the time
gaging drunk backstage. Yeah. True, there's that too, But how
do you feel about how do you feel about Sena
(24:39):
opening the show instead of being the main event.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
I don't care if it's the opener in the middle
of the clothes, I don't really care. Okay, it doesn't
matter as far as like.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
He doesn't what says little.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
He could do one of the buck he wants, Like,
you know what I mean? Is it really gonna effect
like the match quality or is it gonna really gonna
affect the way you think about the show where whole
way out or now?
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Not really?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
So?
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yeah know, but I do have a scene of thing.
So bleacher Report they have a rank of John Cena's
ten greatest matches of his WWE career. Where's it from
Bleacher Report?
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Fuck, this is gonna be like the most casual shit ever.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah problem. Uh so, I'm gonna start from number ten.
Number ten was versus Edge at Unforgiven O six. That
was the TLC match in Toronto. Good match, Yeah, very
good match, good feud. Number nine was the Rock at
WrestleMania twenty eight. Well, we gotta hear the rest.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
I'll probably have that one a little bit higher, Okay.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Number eight was Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam this year.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
That's not top ten. See the match of all time?
Speaker 4 (25:56):
No.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Number seven match, very good match, but.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Not top ten sing like like top ten send matches
is like match of the year. The tenders that that
one was not match of the year considered still very
good match though.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
No, yeah, yeah, you're right. Number seven was against Sean
Michaels on the April twenty third episode of Raw in
two thousand and seven in London. That was when they
won an hour. Yeah, the one that went hour. Yeah, yeah,
great match. Number six was aj Styles at SummerSlam twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, maybe maybe top five, top four.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
But you know I would put it in my top
three that match, we're all that matsal, Yes, this is
a great match. Hmmm. I don't know about number five.
Umaga Roll Rumble two thousand and seven. Very memorable match.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
I don't know top I mean maybe top ten, maybe
lower top ten, but not I would me personally wouldn't
have add but there are some people who.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Really love that match.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Yeah, that was the Rumble in San Antoni. Yeah that
the match was fine. I won't know if I would
call it a top ten. March number four Daniel Bryan
SummerSlam twenty thirteen.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, triple h when uh Rany was cashing.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Ring the bell. Now ring it, you will be pushing.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
That's one of my favorite trible h moments. There's such
a dick.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Love it and thus began the authority. Uh number three
see him punk money in the bank?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Wait wait, wait what number is this?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Number three?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
That's absolutely fucking wrong.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I love that match. That was on my birthday and
I watched it on my laptop, you know, illegally, and
I just enjoyed my birthday watching that. And I actually
bought that match on on iTunes, so you know, you know,
whenever I was just bored or when I used to
go to the gym, I just like turn on that
(28:00):
match and just like run, you know, walk on the
treadmill to that match. So the great, great match, and
it had everything it needed, suspends, hype, drama, and the
right person one.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
I remember two thousand eleven obviously, right, but I remember
watching it at Beffore Wild Wings is when they were
showing paper views at before Wild.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Wings at the time, and I was literally one of
the only ones to see them punk and.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that's like, that's one of the
best wrestling matches in history.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
One of the best moments in wrestling. Stands up to
this day.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Right, So when when people think about like certain eras,
so like that was like the PG era best moments?
Speaker 1 (28:51):
What's that for sure? That whole few oh yeah, build
up was insane.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Loved it.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Okay, now here at the top two, number two AJ
Styles Roll Rumble, twenty seventeen.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
As far as match quality, like, Okay, yeah, sure, I
don't have it about Punkin and Sina.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
But if you if.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
If you started watching wrestling in twenty fifteen and and
that was like that was probably your first great scena
match that you've seen, and you have that, you're number two,
number one. Sure, sure, But me personally, is the story
the story of punkin Sina and you know and legitimately
(29:38):
like it's punk gonna leave w W because that was legit.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
You didn't know if he was really gonna stay or not.
I mean I just think that. I just think everything that.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Has that involved in in you know, Vince get involved
in and all that was was really really good stuff.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Agreed. I mean I was there for that match that
was that was in Santonio with the Dome again, good match.
But you know, over Money in the Bank twenty eleven.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Would you say that was the best that you've seen live?
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Mmm, I would say so. I would say so that
that was one of the better matches I've seen probably, Yeah,
the best match I've seen that, I'll say that. Oh well,
actually no, the best match I've seen live was an
NXT live event at the Aztec Center or the Astec Theatre.
I'm sorry, with one not FTR the Revival versus d I.
(30:33):
Y oh, well, okay, yeah, that was the best matchup
Sina and AJ was you know, a close second, well
solid second. Number one see them Punk Raw February twenty fifth,
twenty thirteen.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
That was with the pile Driver. I now, no great Matt,
but no no punking, you know, like okay, number one, right,
tell me, tell me what you remember from it.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
The pile Driver.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Outside of that, but you probably like did you remember
that before I said that?
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Though I know I remember the stipulation was whoever wins
this is gonna face the Rocket Mania, Like yes.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
Well, like do you like remember like anything, like like
any spots from the match or anything like that, Like
the the other Punk match was like okay, well you
know the.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Entrances, right, Punk, you know at the very beginning, like
they're they're they're booing and like Punk's like buying me
or booing him, say, oh okay, you know, just like
literally everything the fucking the spot where Punk does the
flying knee and instead in the corners like it's like
just on the ropes regular when like you can see
this low motion and you know, see it takes that
(31:56):
ship right obviously when Vince comes out there, right, the
false finish is the counters reversals, all that shit outside
of the pile driver from the other match.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
I don't even know. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Maybe maybe I'll have that, maybe I'll have that match
top ten still, but I don't know if if they
even have this match that high.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
That alone number one. Coincidentally, Punk names that as his
favorite match, like ever, that's.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Fine, it could be his favorite match. Doesn't mean he's right.
It doesn't mean best match.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
I'm just throwing it out there. But now, like again,
just like punkin Punk and John told a story like
with that money in the bank match, and when you
look at you know, John's you know, his list of
like you know, his rogues gallery of you know, of
a feuds, Punk is number one because you can tell
(32:46):
that there was some animosity there at first because you know,
Punk is you know, blue collar, He's the blue collar
guy from you know, the Indies, and John Cena was
you know, the golden the golden goose, so to speak.
So you can tell there was some animasia there and
eventually they became, you know, really good friends. But that's
(33:06):
what made the feud work so well is because you
know John, you know, John Cena was the guy who's
supposed to have everything, and Punk was the guy who
was not supposed to even be on television. And yet
Punk always best at John and any you know, and
almost every match they've been in. So but yeah, that
the money in the bank matches to me that if
(33:28):
we're talking about matches in the last fifteen to twenty
years or maybe a little less than that, it's it's
in my top three, and it might even be my
number one, just of how numberable in my top five?
For sure.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
I have all different different types of matches that are
up there, some like some that are like not even
like to me, like like to me, I.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Don't even know, I don't even know if I really
considers match five. Start by this match.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Samda Alexander and Kolobushi from remember that that's like it's
one of my favorite matches of all time. I mean
just just because it was like so different from like
what WW is doing at the time. So but you know,
you know, like is it really a top five wrestling
match of all time? No, it's not, so like it's
(34:23):
really just like what like what kind of matches that you.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
That your your particular taste likes.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
So but I think I think a lot of people though,
I think that punkin uh seen the money Bank matches,
you know, in the top three, top five, top ten,
top twenty, whatever. But I think it's sad to say
that if you were born or if you start watching
wrestling like two thousand and five one, like if that
definitely should be your top whatever for sure, Like you know,
(34:52):
Meltzer gave it five stars, that's how great it was.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
So if Meltzer gave that five stars at a time
time where.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
At a time like where not a lot of matches.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Was getting five stars, I even in New Japan, because
the Japan wasn't like, like you know, really doing great stuff.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Back then, Like it was rare to get a five
star match back then. I didn't know. But even if
Melzer gets the five stars.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
You know that's it's a great match and it pilts
like any particular type of wrestling fan.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
No agreed. I mean because I remember, you know clearly
that summer of twenty eleven, like you know, that got
the attention of ESPN. You know, you know Punk Appointment TV.
It was appointment TV. You had to be you had
to watch every Monday. Let's see when Punk comes out.
I did that Punk pipe bomb promo. I remember where
(35:46):
I was. I was in a I was in a
gym at a hotel with a former friend of mine
and it's a former former friend. Uh well, I guess
somebody I used to be tight with. That's the best
way I'll play. And I remember watching Raw earlier in
the day and it was, you know, Punk was in
the ring with Sean Michaels and was like, oh, it's
(36:06):
a pretty good promo. And you know when Sean hat
hair and then uh, I had left to go hang
out with him, and then that promo just randomly came
on because they were playing Raw in that in that
particular gym, and I just remember seeing that promo and going,
oh shit, you know he's talking about brock Lesner. He
mentioned Paul Hayman. He's mentioning Ring of Honor, and I'm
(36:28):
just like, damn, like this this is making me want
to fucking watch the show. This is make This is
gonna make a lot of people talk. Like even you know,
the guy I was with, like he used to like
wrestling a lot then he stopped watching it, and he
even he was kind of talking about the promo. He's like,
that was a pretty interesting promo. They got a lot
of people wrestling for a while. Very very yeah, very true. Yeah.
(36:52):
Just like again, like when you get people outside of
wrestling talking about something, you're doing something right. But speaking
of seampunk, uh, John Cena was on Chris van Fleet
and he mentioned and Chris van Fleet just basically did
like a name game. When it came to See Him Punk,
he mentioned See Him Punk as his wrestling soulmate. He
(37:13):
referred to Randy Yorton as smooth, our truth is beautiful,
Cody Roads, and Drew McIntyre is resilient, brock Lesner as
one of a kind, Ray Mysterio as a mentor, and
Sammy's Zaying as the eternal underdog, and Shameless as the
world's tallest wrestler. But when it came to AJ Styles,
(37:34):
He referred to AJ Styles as the best to ever
do it. He said, Sean Michaels is gonna be pissed,
and God did Seawn ever take care of me? But man,
there's not a lot of Styles that There's not a
lot that Styles can't do. He makes difficult look easy.
That is not God given talent. That is practice. When
you see talent become seamless, it's because it's been done
(37:56):
ten thousand times and the amount of shit that he
can do seamlessly. Man, he's the best to ever do it.
How do you feel about those comments that John made
about AJ? Call him the best to ever do it?
Speaker 1 (38:10):
That's his opinion, Man, some people feel that way.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
I love AJ. I'm always going to be a fan
of AJ. He's in my top I don't I don't
know if I would say top ten. Maybe fifteen is
the better way to put it. But Sean is clearly
HEAs entails above AJ as far as like opponents that
scene has been in the ring with. Again, this isn't
(38:35):
me trying to tell Seena what to do. This is
just kind of from someone who's been watching Sena since
he first debuted. I'm gonna say obviously, Sean. You know
they had a lot of really good matches. You know,
Punk is his better feud, and also you know they
had good matches as well, Edges number three. You know
they had a really they had a lot of really
(38:56):
good memorable feude triple H. I would say maybe a
four or five Batista. They never really had a chance
to have any really good feuds except for that one
when Batista was so right. It's funny Batista was supposed
to be the heel and he was getting cheered.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
But like.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
During Mega like no anti sin from the adults.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Oh yeah times, Yeah, the PGA, that was when it
was running wild. But uh, what were with early thoughts?
It was kind of a I guess, like a loaded
question when you first saw John Cena debut and then
his career going forward with Thuganomics and everything else. How
(39:51):
didn't you look at him when he first debuted on
the main roster as a prototype and then eventually what
happened after that. I looked at him.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
I was this guy's the future.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
So when he debuted on SmackDown, was was in June
two thousand and two when he answered, you know Kurt Angles.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Well, when he did actually debuted, I'm like, Okay, they're
debuting a new guy and you know, have him go
up against Kurt Angle, so that, you know, at the time,
I was saying, like, they must, they must really value
this guy.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Uh you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
But you know, I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
I know Johnston was the prototype at first, because you
always saw like, oh, the protype prototype of that. But
they didn't, like, you know, at least in you know,
the websites, I fault, they didn't really like specify who
the protype was or who his name was whoever, right,
it was just the prototype. So so it took me
maybe a little while to learn now John Cena is
the prototype. So so oh yeah, I've been hearing about
(40:47):
this guy.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
So yeah, that was Michael. Yeah. My whole thing is
when he debuted, I'm like, Okay, this guy seems like
a big deal or they think he's a big deal
because he's out there wrestling Kurt Angle. You know, who's
one of the best ever do it? You know, if
we're talking about one of the best ever do it.
(41:10):
And he gave him a pretty good match, and you know,
he had that bit with the Undertaker where the Undertaker
shook his hand, which I don't think we've had another
segment like that recently. There was something kind of similar
with Javon Evans and Roman, but that was you know, backstage,
not on television. But it's always good to see things
like that. When he started doing the rap gimmick, I
(41:35):
like everyone else, like when it's a rap gimmick, when
it's you know, the white guy thinking that he's black,
It's like, Okay, where's this going. And then eventually it
got over because you realize this is what this guy
really is, you know, because he you know, seen a
famously told the story of like he was almost fired,
you know, that same year when he debuted, like he
(41:57):
was actually told to his face, we're gonna let you
go after the Hall days and then he Stephanie McMahon
saw him rapping, and that's where his career took off.
So I don't think, I mean, anyone that says this
guy is going to be a star most of the time,
I think they're kind of bullshitting with him. It's like
I looked at him, it's like he has a good look.
(42:18):
Maybe he can be something. You know, he looks like
a world champion I obviously didn't think it would be
to this magnitude. Granted, you know, with with the WWE machine,
once they once you start to really sell them tickets
and get over and once they sink their claws into you,
they can really over push you. And for Sina, like,
(42:40):
he was on top for ten years and you know
how many how many guys you know that had been
on top that long. Granted this was during a time
when there really weren't a lot of top guys that
could carry the brand like Sena, But you know, to
his credit, I always thought he handled you know, his
(43:03):
top spot with you know, grace and humility, and he
was the right guy for that spot because you know,
John Cena unlike a lot of unlike a lot of
other people like you. I don't think you've heard this
guy get a traffic ticket. You know, the guy was
you know, squeaky clean and did everything the company asked
them to do. He adapted with the times he has
(43:26):
I don't know the exact number, but he has to
this date the most request from Make a Wish. And
I remember hearing a story where justin Bieber's camp tried
to lie about it and then come to find out
if Sena had more visits than them. So the fact
that this guy has an insane work schedule and is
(43:46):
willing to take time out of his busy day to
make someone's short you know, short life means something is
just it's an attestment to the kind of guy John is, like,
he seems like a stand up guy and that's what
I respect about him. And then towards the end of
his wrestling career is when he started to kind of
(44:08):
just be like, I'm just gonna do whatever I want
and just put over whoever the fuck I want, like
I don't care anymore. And so I've viewed, I mean,
I've used seen a career as well learned and if
you know, if you're going to talk about who deserves
to be in that top spot of that's necessarily who's
the greatest of all time, but who's the biggest box
(44:29):
office attraction of all time? He deserves to be in
that Mount Rushmore with Hogan, with Austin and the Rock. So,
you know, seeing now Roman maybe but Kevin no, I
(44:51):
just kind of made a sound of I don't know.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
But.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
Roman is not a big is not a big box
office His attraction.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Well he is now Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
I mean like like fucking Wrestlmania thirty eight, thirty nine,
like I mean this whole new err, I mean before
this year, Roman was a big part of that.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
No, No, I'm not saying I'm not saying he wasn't.
I'm just saying, in comparison to their pushes with Sena,
his push was more natural. But then as he started
getting over pushed, that's when the fan hate came out.
I'm not talking about pushes. I'm talking about making money
for the company. I'm not No, I'm not saying Roman
doesn't make money for the company.
Speaker 4 (45:37):
I'm just kind of, oh, yeah, yeah, that's that's what
I'm saying though, because like box Office to me is
you know, do you put button in seats?
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Do you make money for the company?
Speaker 1 (45:47):
And Sina definitely did that. I'm not saying that he didn't,
but I'm just saying that I would.
Speaker 4 (45:52):
I will probably have. I'll probably like every time Mount Rushmore,
I probably have seen a Roman, Austin and Hogan in
that in there.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
All right, fair enough.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
The only reason why I don't have Rock in Air
because he wasn't there long enough.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
Okay, he had good point. Yeah, you know, the Rock
the Rocks meteorc rise was just that meteorc it. It
happened for a very short amount of time. And then
he went to Hollywood, which again no shame in that
because he's currently you know, one of the biggest draws
in Hollywood and he just got a Golden Globe nomination
for the Smashing Machine. So good for Dwayne. But uh,
(46:31):
I talked long enough, So like, how do you view
seen his career? If you had to summon up.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
To me, I think that you know, people who grew
up watching him during Eric thinks he is the goat.
Speaker 4 (46:45):
Right If you thinks all that's fine, but history will
show you that he's He wasn't Austin, he wasn't Hoging,
he wasn't rock you know. It's just it's just is
what it is with that right, not saying that you
know that he sucked or anything, or he's a race,
(47:07):
he's overrated. It's just that when you look him at
the Annals of Wrestling History, I definitely think that you know,
you probably put on top seven and as that I.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
Don't want to include other eras or other.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
Other parts of the world just because it's subjective to
people here in the United States, right, But I can
really go on and talk about other wrestlers from other
organizations in the world.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
And some people may not understand it. And some people
be like, oh, yeah, that makes that, that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
Why that wrestler, why you may put that wrestle oversea
as far as like a total impact and.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
You know, money and all that stuff. So right, yeah,
that's on we view Sena's career what well. I think
we already talked about it. But but like, you know,
going back to that list from bluech Report, like, what
(48:12):
are some matches do you think should have been on
there as opposed to a lot of the other matches,
or what do you think should have been ranked higher
or ranked lower? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (48:27):
What what what do you think?
Speaker 3 (48:29):
I mean the match with with Punk on Raw it's
a top ten match. I just don't know if we
should be top number one? Yeah, I mean the match
at Money in the Bank is obviously number one. The
match with Sean top five?
Speaker 1 (48:44):
What about the mattress sewn.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Man. I should have thought about this. It's hm hmm.
It's top ten for sure, because there was, you know,
a story heading into that the match of Triple H
I thought was pretty good. I don't know if i'd
call that top ten. Yeah, what's another one? He I
(49:19):
like the I know you remember this, and I like
the parking Lot brawl with Eddie Guerrero. That was kind
of like a personal preference for me. That was that's
one of my favorites. Yeah, those are kind of my
choices if I had to really pick one. Yeah, that's
(49:42):
kind of that's kind of where. Oh the match with
brock Lessner at SummerSlam, for the match itself wasn't great,
but it was great for other reasons, So that should
be in the top ten. Yeah, what else can we
talk about? Let's see. I think I think that's kind
of the gist of what we can talk about with
(50:04):
John se Yeah, let's talk about Serena. It's main event,
which is gonna be this Saturday, obviously December thirteen, in Washington,
d C. At the Capitol One Arena. And like I mentioned,
it's gonna be John Cena's last match until it isn't,
and it's gonna be the opener. So John Cena versus
(50:25):
Gunther and his retirement match match match match. Wait, what
I was trying to echo, I was I I really
thought there was something going on with my PC. No,
it's just me being goofy. But John Cena versus.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
Gunther, Gunther's winning, She's stopping seen.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
Out Yep, Guther's winning. Sena is gonna do his sad
old man look, he's gonna give a speech telling everyone
that he's that he never gave up, even though he
gave up up. Yeah, and then, like I mentioned, the
rest of the show is gonna be dedicated to the
NXT talent, which which is fun because when you look
(51:08):
at this card, it's actually actually great. Actually, oh yeah,
it looks like a really good show, which we'll get
into the matches later. But yeah, Gonther is gonna win.
He's gonna make see a tap and that's just gonna
that's just gonna be another you know, notching Gunther's belt.
Speaker 1 (51:25):
Gun really need to have this match though.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
No, mm hmm, I would have I mean, I if anything,
I would have preferred l A Knight that would have been.
Speaker 4 (51:39):
It's like it's like it's like, you know, do I
take a ship in the more handed? Do I take
a ship right now? Like it's still ship.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
It's an interesting way to put it. But I mean
with going through, I think he's just a safer bet
of He's gonna carry John and get a really good
match out of him. So I again, I I've been
saying for a while Gunther doesn't need this. I'd rather
give it to someone who could use the use the rub.
But you know, again, we're not booking this ship. So
(52:12):
but yeah, Gonther is winning. As for the rest of
the shoe, you have a tag team match for the
World Tack Team Championships on Raw aj Styles and Dragon
Lee versus Javon Evans and the TNA exc Division Champion,
Leon Slater. This is gonna be fun with the champs.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
Should be a fucking trouble match.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
That's crazy. The TNA Exavision champion is gonna be on
is gonna be on Saturday. It's made event. This is
gonna be a fun match regardless Javon. They love the
show of them Leon. Again, you know the fact that they,
you know, are letting this guy get get get exposure.
There's a thing that came out where he had to
(52:54):
cancel some bookings this weekend because of it. But you know,
just out the business, I think I think a TNA show, Okay, no, no, no,
it was a it was another it was another indie
show because.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Something to do. I thought something. I thought TNA had
something this weekend.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
Probably not okay because I saw the the promotion share
it whether like go or not. Jevon Leon had to
cancel because of blah blah blah. But uh, this is
gonna be fun as fun to watch. I I'm looking
Forward'm actually I'm looking forward to this match. Next is
yeah Bailey versus so Ruka.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Uh oh my god, Bailey. I think uh Zaria may
get involved.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
You think they're gonna do it on Peacock or you
think they're gonna wait for like an NXC to do that.
I mean, how how many?
Speaker 1 (53:46):
How much long are they gonna hold this off?
Speaker 3 (53:48):
True? They they can.
Speaker 4 (53:49):
They can do the angle here and make it a
big deal and maybe get some more viewers into.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Uh n x T to see with the fallout of it.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
Yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (53:59):
I mean if they were to me that, if it
was me booking and ship, that's that's how I would
do it.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
But no, right, no, let me. Like I mentioned, the
point is Sina wants to get more more of a
look to NXT, so well, you're right, I think Zari
is gonna come out afterwards and beat the ship out
of so So. And then what I'm assuming is the
main event is you have the WW champion, Cody Roads
(54:25):
versus the NXC champion Oba. Feme looking forward to this
because you know, Oba gets exposure on a bigger stage.
I I see a Drew distraction.
Speaker 1 (54:39):
Yeah, but not Cody ain't losing clean neither is O
if Alba.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
If Alba loses, I think it has something to do
with maybe Tony d r which I which I don't
think they will do on Peacock because he will not
get a reaction just because most of these fans.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
Don't watch XC.
Speaker 4 (55:02):
Then, you know, so, I think Drew coming out there
screwing over Cody probably the right way of doing it.
Speaker 3 (55:09):
That or he like, you know, because he's still suspended
quote unquote, so he'll probably just like make it seem
like he's walking through the arena and Cody's gonna be
so incensed and pissed off that he's gonna lose sight
of it and then Opah's gonna hit his finish or so.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
I kind of wish it was Ricky though, to be honest,
But whatever I.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
Mean that would have been a better match. But I
think Ricky. It looks like Ricky is gonna be a
heel and he's gonna be working with Javon on NXC,
so I don't know, we'll see. I was thinking during
the match, I'm like, I think they might go with
Oba because Oba looks like someone they want to push
on TV and I like Ricky, but I don't think
(55:49):
Ricky is that guy for that spot. And I'd be
more interested to see him be a heel because I
think he can pull off being a heel better than
being a face. But uh, that's Saturdaynight's main event. It's
gonna be this Saturday on Peacock and if you have
and if you live overseas, it'll be on YouTube or
(56:10):
if you have a VPN whatever. But uh, that's it
for that. Oh what else? Was there? Anything else that happened? Was?
Did you have any news topics?
Speaker 4 (56:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (56:23):
You you got the lead here, brother, Okay, Uh.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
I didn't bring any news. I can pull up some
news because we kind of covered everything that is John
Cena related, So let me try and well, well, I mean.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
I mean we got so much more meal on the
ball than talking about John Cena that we haven't touched yet.
Speaker 3 (56:47):
Well, you take a lead, tell me, tell me what
you got. Moment John Cena moment. I mean when he
debuted on Raw. That was a pretty big moment. Okay,
I don't think anyone saw that coming. And this was
around the time when the internet wasn't as prevalent as
it is now, where there was a lot of.
Speaker 4 (57:09):
People that knew he was going to go to Raw
because the raws of the number one show and everyone
we went to see Sina and I really, I mean,
at least that's the way I felt at the time,
like I was like, oh, well, Sam's going to Raw
sooner rather than later.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
I didn't really think of it that way because I
just wasn't expecting it, like it was a big moment.
And you know, you look at Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho
looked like he even expected either. Yeah. Like I mentioned,
this is the time when the internet wasn't as big
as it was today. We're on the internet. You can
find out so and so is going to debut on
Raw this Monday. So that was a pretty big moment.
(57:46):
I talked about the parking lot brought with Eddie there
was well, it was another was another big moment the
promo with a punk leading in the money in the
bank where the Boston.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
That that that was that's my number one right there.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
Where Punk you know, tells them you know you're you're
like the New York Yankees, and then Sina punches them
in the face. So that was a good one. When
brock Lesnar returned and f fived him, and then the
very next week uh Sena came out and smacked them
and they had this huge brawl. So another very good moment.
(58:29):
And just when he was doing his when he was
doing his US Open challenges, those are always pretty fun
to watch. And oh, another moment I liked was a
moment that happened off screen. It was the night where
him and Sting were an attack team against the Big
Show and seth rawlins and that that was that was
(58:52):
cool enough, but it was what happened when the show
went off the air, because Sina is you know, big
into like the the make a Wish thing with kids
and whatever, and he announced that there was a kid
in that there was a kid in the audience who
just beat cancer and so I'm getting kind of emotional
thinking about it because you know, it's kids, and you know,
(59:13):
he actually goes to the kid and gives gives her
like his his wristband, and Sting actually gives the kid
his gloves. So I thought that that was a pretty
cool moment. Those moments, those moments always kind of get
me right here in the fields. There's there's there's so
(59:33):
much and I can't really pinpoint a lot, but I
need to think of some more. What were your favorite
scene of moments?
Speaker 1 (59:41):
I mean, you probably pretty much covered a lot of
them already.
Speaker 4 (59:46):
I mean, I mean, obviously Maham was first started rapping
as well with the any of the raps were was
was really good?
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Uh, but the uh probably one of his first ones
was with the.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
When he.
Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
It was like as Vanella's backstage rapping with Stephanie and
all that stuff. So that like to start the game,
make uh when he challenged jay z to uh to
a wrap bout of Wrestle Mandia in nineteen remember that,
but shan't a subject though? What's your favorite John Cena
pay per view poster?
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Pay per view? Remember the pay per view poster?
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Yeah? Like what like if I were to start naming him, like,
you'll be like, oh, okay, I remember that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
Yeah, you're gonna you're gonna even name him because I
don't really remember him that one.
Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
I mean, probably my favorite one was the Unforgiven one
when uh, it's like black and white and like he's
like flexing, He's like, ah, you know all that, and
like Unforgiven it's like writ in blood across his chest
and bicep.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I think I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
Or the Judgment Day one where he's like like, you know,
he has his hands on the table, he's like me
mugging in to the uh to the camera.
Speaker 3 (01:01:02):
Oh okay, yeah, I'm seeing the Unforgiven one. That was
pretty cool. I like that one.
Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Yeah, the Judgment Day one just him and Rock face
to face. That that one was a pretty cool one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Yeah, that one that was good. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
The other ones you can think of.
Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
So mean you like like posters or or moments.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's what we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Oh man, there's one. Oh I think it's Royal Rum
four and that was when he was still yeah, when
he was still the the Thuconomics. It isn't like the
black and white one, I believe. So yeah, yeah that's
(01:01:48):
a good one.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Another good one too, Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
Another rock and scene of one was Survivor series twenty eleven,
Never Bore, Never Again.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
And that didn't last long.
Speaker 4 (01:02:03):
Well, they never they never had an attack team match
with each other, so I guess that, you know, well,
I like but but that's like one of those phrases
that you would, you know always, you know, remember, you know,
never before, never again.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
Another cnemment I'm thinking of is kind of funny. It's
funny to me as when he was you know, the
rapper gimmick, and he was a heel and he's working
a match against Ray, and you know, he's making fun
of his height, so he gets on his knees and
he's like, oh, we're the same height, and then Ray
starts doing the the motion of like given head basically,
and scenes like oh, and then he gets up. So
(01:02:40):
I thought that was funny. When the whole feud with
Carlito where Carlito allegedly stabbed him in a club, I
thought that was goofy as show heyeseus, which I think
you know this already. Is that originally that is supposed
to be nu Jack, right according to new Jack, But granted,
(01:03:05):
you know it's new Jack don't know if he can
believe everything he says. But originally that was supposed to
be new Jack and not Jeseus. But which that would
have been interesting. Let me let me kind of flip
the topic, let me ask, let me think of something
more unique, uh have a unique question. So as far
as like opponents, you know, and we and we talked
(01:03:26):
about every single opponent seen in his face? Who are
some who are some opponents? He wished he would have
had more matches with or more feuds with, uh m hm.
Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
He pretty much like he never really he didn't never
have a match with Hogan. No, I would I would
have liked to see that, even.
Speaker 1 (01:03:51):
Though even though it would have been you know different, right,
but like the Hogan of you know.
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
The two thousands, Cogan, I think I think that would
have been match on probably would have want to see.
Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
For sure. I would have loved to see him have
a feud with Jeff Hardy. That would have been fun.
I know they had one match, and I remember a
fan like ran in during the match before it started.
And granted, when Sena first started, Jeff was kind of
(01:04:22):
already on his way out or he got fired, and
then when Sena was already on top. That's when Jeff
came back, so their schedule, I mean, actually they were
on the same show, so I guess. I guess it's
just like their universes didn't really align, so to speak.
But I would have liked a feud with Jeff and John.
I think that would have been a fun feud.
Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
I think him and had more matches with each other.
Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
But yeah, they had that one feud and in summer
and then that's yeah, and that's then that's when lash
Lee left. I'm surprised he never had a feud with Ray.
Speaker 4 (01:05:02):
He he.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
Like did take this all Ray. Yeah, when Ray won
the title and then he definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
He definitely buried Ray in his fucking uh.
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Torraine, because like they were on SmackDown for so long
with each other. I'm surprised there was never a few,
you know, because there's a few with him and Eddie,
which that that's another feud I wish would have went longer,
was him and Eddie. They just had like the feud
on SmackDown and then after that it just kind of ended.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
And you know one guy that I would like to
see I mean, it's it's definitely one million not gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
Well, I've never seen never in rest up the money's right,
you know, I mean maybe it's always well, bring set
our retirement.
Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
But if the MJF comes over, well I like to
see that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
I mean, eventually he might even come over. I mean,
I'm Jf's already a Hollywood guy. Now he's doing a
lot of movie rules. And by movie rules, I mean
like movie that people are watching. You know, he's he
was in the Happy Gilmour movie. He was He's gonna
be in the sequel to that Santa Claus movie with
the dude from Stranger Things. So yeah, I think it
(01:06:13):
could be something that could happen, because let's just no
one ever really stays retired in wrestling, because at the
end of the day, it's all about mine. One was
Sean but the sawt He's got him out of retirement,
which that pissed me off because that match was fucking horrible.
Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
Well go take her. Taker's been retired, young. Do you
see a match Undertakers?
Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
No, the guy can barely move.
Speaker 4 (01:06:35):
No.
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
I think I think Sean Michaels would be more believable
because the guy is still in shape and he looks
like he can go, but he just Sean se.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Sean ain't gotta be he ain't come out of retirement.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
No, John, John I believe. I believe John when he
says that he was gonna stay out of it, because
I think he has, you know, a little bit more
respect for the business and not just like ooh, the
offering me more money. It's like, I think John when
he says he's gonna stay away from the business, I
believe him.
Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
When is this like a situation where it's like something happens,
like like something abnormal happens where.
Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
It's like.
Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
I don't I don't even want to say it because
like I don't want to say anything bad's gonna happen
to anybody or anything. Let's say something happens to our wrestler,
or a situation happens and it's.
Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
Like WW is doing like a benefit show.
Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
All proceeds go to whatever situation, right, and they bring
Johnson our retirement for that reason, and Johnson is like,
you know what, hey, this one time only, I'm gonna
do this.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
I can see something like that. It's it's a crazy circumstance.
Speaker 4 (01:07:48):
I'm being very vague about it because again I don't
want to bring up anything of anything that can happen,
you know what I mean. But that's the only way
I can actually see him coming out of retirement something
like that, but like just normal like hey, you know, hey,
I challenge you to amancha wrestling may Yeah, it's you know,
Johnson versus.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Ken'y Omega. I don't know whoever.
Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
I don't see that happening.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
I mean, I think it was like beneficial beneficial for
not him, but for like, hey, you know, we need
your help with something because we want to raise money
for charity. YadA, YadA, YadA. I can see John doing
that wherever. It's like it's for charity. It's not for me.
I'm not getting paid, you know, the money is going
to someone else, not me.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
He's been giving back to the business a lot. I
don't know if you haven't seen, but like he he
was at like at a wrestling camp this past.
Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
Weekend, John, Yeah, John, I don't think I did know.
Speaker 4 (01:08:55):
He was at a wrestling camp and it was all women,
and I think it was like Bailey was, Uh it's
like Bailey's wrestling camp, but like there's like a lot
of like a lot of young women wrestlers there, and uh,
he was kind of showing him, like, you know, just
kind of just showing him like you know, fund and
mills of certain things and like you know, Sallying and
(01:09:16):
all that and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
So I thought that was pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (01:09:19):
Yeah, John, mean I say, John, like I know him. Uh,
Sena is seen as someone who's always very giving, you know,
because he's a guy who you know, he always said
he worked hard. He did work hard because you know,
before he became a wrestler, he was you know, I
mean there's those like famous photos and videos of him
holding up his like you know, cardboard championship belts, and
(01:09:43):
then you know, eventually became a bodybuilder and then he
became a wrestler. You know, he started wrestling I think
in like ninety nine, I believe, and he really did
have to work for that spot, you know, and people
like Jim Cornett, who trained him down in ov W,
had said that Sena was the only one that Danny
Davis allowed to drive the ring truck, like he was
(01:10:05):
literally the only wrestler that he had trusted him to
do that. So he's someone that he worked hard for
a spot. Was he always the nicest guy? I mean no,
But then again, you can't always be the nicest guy
in the world. You can be who was.
Speaker 4 (01:10:22):
One wrestler or wrestlers or situation where you thought Johnson
should have put the yeah, particular wrestler or a situation over.
Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
I thought he should have put the Nexus over. I
really do like that SummerSlam match. Like Jericho and Edge,
they talked about how Sena was supposed to put him over,
but Sena kind of politiced his way into kind of
doing his own thing right, and then when they got
to the back, Sena went, Okay, I should have just
put them over.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
In hindsight, was it the right or wrong decision?
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
It was the wrong decision because it really it really
killed that group because they came in with a lot
of buzz, because like they literally came in and just
start beating the shit out people, right, And it's like, Okay,
when you have a group that's like this, that like
you're portraying as bad asses, you got to really keep
that momentum. And Sina just kind of pulled the rug
(01:11:15):
from under them, and it's just like, Okay, well, I
guess that's it's going to be the end result.
Speaker 1 (01:11:18):
Let's say next to wins that you what what will
have been the end results of everything with that, I.
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
Mean, it would have made him look better, Okay, Wade
out of everybody, everybody there, like Wade Beard was really
the only guy that was really worth the damn Yeah yeah,
I mean again, it's always one of those things of
like hindsight isn't always twenty twenty because you can push
someone all you want, but they got to be someone
(01:11:47):
that's worth putting asses in seats. But it's always one
of those things of just like, should the top drawing
guy put over literally anybody? It's like, no, not really,
But in this case, if you're getting your ass handed
you're getting your ass handed to you by an entire group,
you should really, I don't know, make them look good,
(01:12:09):
do something, do something with them. But but let me
ask you this, let me ask you the question you said,
Ask me who's someone that you think should see it,
should have put over.
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
I'll be honest, I really can't really think of anyone
that's like, oh, he's probably should put that guy over,
you know what I mean. But let me think, I
mean honestly, man, like it's maybe maybe have Mark Henry
win the WW title. When when Mark Henry fake retired. Well,
(01:12:49):
it wasn't like Mark hen wasn't a star Raven before
your home world champion, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
But like, well, according to Mark Henry, Sino is actually
willing to put him over. But Mark Henry declined it
because he told Vince Is like listen, I'm I'm not
the guy anymore. Like I can't I can't be that.
I can't be in that spot, you know, seen as
the guy right now. So that was actually Mark Henry's
(01:13:14):
call to put scene over. According to him, Russeph could
have been another name. You know, russev had a lot
of momentum and you know, or not actually scratch that,
bray Wyatt. He should have put over bray Wyatt.
Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
Yeah, but bray Whye is still It wasn't like bray
White didn't become as like a like a megastar.
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Yeah, but then that kind of that kind of started
bray Wyatt's you know, start and stop feuds where he'd
always start a big feud with someone and then it
would end with him losing and then he would go away.
Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
I think he's a mortal.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
It wasn't It's not like it's not like, you know,
you don't have to think about ray Why, like if
you mentioned like to someone like, oh, oh yeah, I
know him, if you mention your name like Wade Barely, yeah,
Wady Beryl, Yeah, oh.
Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
I can't remember him.
Speaker 4 (01:14:07):
Yeah. It's like it's like you gotta have to think
about it a little bit, you know what I mean,
you know, just saying Gabriel like oh man, like bray
Why ended up being fine.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
I personally think Sena should have put him over when
he when he should have. That's just me because like me, no, I.
Speaker 4 (01:14:26):
Agree, but like I an't think like in the long
term and think bray White was super hurt by either.
Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
In some ways, it kind of hurt his momentum because
like he was coming in as almost like the new
Undertaker and then he runs into that brick wall known
as John Cena. So again, like did he like become
a complete nobody? Like no, I'm not saying that, I'm
just saying like that win could have really meant something,
you know, especially when you're really just pushing this guy
(01:14:53):
as something new when before he was husky Harris and
then he got went back. Yeah. True, But to me,
to me, it's just that's one of those things of
just and Also we've I mean, we've already heard stories
about how like a lot of the top guys don't
exactly have the kind of pull that we think that
they do, because you know, at the end of the day,
(01:15:15):
it was all it was all down to Vince. Evince
wants you to win. You were winning, you know what
I mean, because like Sena could just easily tell Vince, hey,
let me put this guy over, and and Vince can
be like, no, We're putting you over. You know, at
the end of the day, like Vince was the one
that wrote the checks and Sena made the money, but
Sena wasn't the one, you know, giving everyone orders. So again,
(01:15:38):
it's always one of those things which is like easier
said than done. But what else? What else? What else?
I guess? I mean, I guess I guess those are
the only ones that come to mind that I can
really think of. Do you have any other like choices? No?
Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
I think we're good.
Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
All right. So we talked about posters, we talked about opponents. Well,
let me kind of do something punk.
Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Definitely the most mirrorable. I think the guy that I
think he's most compatible with to me is Edge.
Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Okay, Uh, there was the best of seven series of
Booker t That was kind of fun. He had a
nice feed with Red Dupre. I remember that. Yeah, Uh
there's another guy, right, naw, Dupre should have been a
bigger star. Uh? Who are some other names? Yeah? I
(01:16:52):
mean that's about it. Let me ask you something. So
we've we've already had this discussion about actors turned wrestlers,
Batista being the better actor, the Rock being the bigger
star obviously in Hollywood scene as kind of creeping up there.
You see Roman doing more Hollywood roles, you see Punk
doing more roles. Who are some other Who's who's some
(01:17:15):
current not even not even just w w E, but
you know we see m j F from AW get
some roles? Like who is some current wrestlers on TV
that you think could be either really good actors or
bigger stars than Hollywood?
Speaker 4 (01:17:30):
If you had to pick, does it have to be
movies can be like TV shows or voice acting or anything.
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
Like that, or does it just have to be like
like it could be It could be anything, no matter.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
Okay, I can see someone like a Shamus doing like
voice acting or Drew McIntire doing because their accents.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Whoever? Right, Cody obviously. I think he's like gotta be
next in Linstoner than Later.
Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
For something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
He's in The Street Fighter.
Speaker 4 (01:18:02):
Mind, you're obviously right, right right, Skyle, I will say,
let me seeing I'm trying to think of who I
(01:18:22):
think cany Omega can do like some voice acting stuff
like for like video games and ship like that. I
think that'll be like up his uh, up his.
Speaker 3 (01:18:29):
Alley for something like that. Trying to think, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:18:42):
I mean, there's a lot of people to have a
lot of talents like that, just don't you know, not
really like fully seeing it, like like it could be
like someone random right now that we're not even thinking about.
Speaker 1 (01:18:51):
Like oh yeah, that guy.
Speaker 4 (01:18:51):
That guy should definitely you know, he becomes like a
huge Hue star and it's like, oh yeah, that should.
Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
You know what Live Morgan, Okay, live More.
Speaker 1 (01:19:00):
She's already been doing like some horror shit.
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
Yeah, but like I gut, I could see her she
was filmed a movie. I think, yeah, yeah, on.
Speaker 4 (01:19:11):
The women's side of things, you know, Live Morgan, uh
maybe rio for like a not not saying for like
Fast and Fears, but like like a movie like that,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
She wants to be in the next Terrifier movie because
she loves terror.
Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:19:31):
But like it's definitely people that we were probably not
even really thinking about right now either too as well,
like like you know, maybe like you know, three years
from now or whatever, four or five, six years from now,
it's like, oh my god, Ethan Page, he's the next
big action star, like you know, like.
Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
You know, I mean, you never know, right, we kind
of named everybody. I mean, Riha looks like someone who
should be in movies. I know, samo Joe does. He did.
He does the Twisted Metal Show, Yeah, where he's uh
he he does the body work for Sweet Tooth and
(01:20:09):
Will Arnett does the voice, so he does a catch
up with that Bianca. I think will be fun in movies. Jade, Yeah,
Jade looks like fucking Storm from the X Men, and
she wants to play Storm from the X Men.
Speaker 1 (01:20:27):
What one person I think that would be good for
for stunts right now? At acting role?
Speaker 4 (01:20:35):
They you know how him in the right situation, right
body Darby? Yeah, true, well for stunt for a stunt purposes,
not acting Blake, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:20:43):
Or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
Yeah, you can definitely do a lot of crazy ship.
Who are some other names? Trying to think, trying to think,
trying to think. I can see Roxanne being in like
a TV show.
Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
I was stinking Rocksan. I certainly hope so nest really
seen it yet though, I really hope.
Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
I am. Yeah, I think that she uh uh you
know branches out more for sure? Yeah, very true. Who's
who's someone else? I mean I said already said Roman,
Roman's already doing ship. Becky O, Becky's already doing stuff.
She's in the new Star Trek show. Uh sharch what
(01:21:34):
was that?
Speaker 4 (01:21:35):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:21:36):
I was saying, that's like a super obvious one.
Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
Charlotte, I'm surprised doesn't do movies.
Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
She's not really too charismatic.
Speaker 3 (01:21:49):
Very true. I mean she has a look. But you
but you have to have you gotta like be interesting
when you talk.
Speaker 4 (01:21:58):
Like who would be like the Shaker one like where
it's like kind of like uh lamar.
Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
Cli Vatimir klid Yeah, no, no, no, of Latimir Klitch.
Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
I was thinking about the The Boxer. Yeah, but Koslov
he you know, yeah, he's in Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (01:22:18):
Yeah, he came on The Punisher, the TV series where
like he was in the gym and all these guys
were fighting the Punisher and he just got killed all
of them. So I remember from that Montes Montes w
would be kind of fun as what I don't know,
(01:22:42):
maybe like an action movie. I mean, because he's athletic,
he's charismatic.
Speaker 4 (01:22:48):
I think I can't Rember seem like some type of
like kind of like m Darby has some type of
stunt roll.
Speaker 3 (01:22:56):
I have one for you and your John Moxley like
like in a stunt roll, maybe being like a tough guy.
He's like, I'm a tough guy.
Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
Yeah, yeah, well yeah, you know what do you remember
that w W that was like it was like two
K sixty two K seventeen commercial well with with with
the Terminator.
Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
Oh oh yeah, from a Judgment Day he did he
did that that.
Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Little part where it was like twenty seconds whatever. I
thought you did actually pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Fucking well in that judge. Judgment Day is one of
my favorite movies. And yeah, I like that scene where
he's like you forgot to say please please. Yeah. Again,
there's so many people out there that they look like
they can do movies. So have potential. Yeah, some some
(01:23:50):
some will vary in size, but like like like if
you were to tell me, like in you know, ten years.
Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
From now, oh my god, grip Garrison, Oh god, he's
only one action star bigger than the bigger than the
Rock has ever been.
Speaker 1 (01:24:06):
They'll be like, yeah, I don't I don't see it.
Speaker 4 (01:24:08):
But whatever, or you know what they probably you know,
they can probably make a movie about about Luke Perry
and Jack Perry placey.
Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
Oh god, damn. You know who would be funny? And
I'm surprised Kevin Owens doesn't do things because he seems
like someone who's very charismatic.
Speaker 1 (01:24:27):
You'd be grand comedies, I think.
Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
Right, like, like you know, it was like dark comedies.
He can be like the tough guy trying to beat
someone up, like he'd be funny. He'd definitely be funny.
Samy's am will be funny. Yeah. Again, there's a lot
of people. But what other scene of topics do you
have on mine?
Speaker 1 (01:24:52):
I don't have anything else right now.
Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
Yeah, so we pretty much got everything covered, unless there's
anything else you want to bring up.
Speaker 1 (01:25:05):
Yes, no, I didn't hear what you say. It cut out.
Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
I'm sorry I was saying, unless there's like anything else
that you want to bring up.
Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
That was a non no, no, We're good, We're good,
We're good.
Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
All right people, Well that'll be the end of tonight.
We covered We gave our thoughts on the career of
John Cena, as well as some other John Cena related topics.
We hope you all had fun listening in the discord
as well as the YouTube chanel and like always, I
gotta thank Justin for making these shows work the way
(01:25:37):
they do. Thank you Justin.
Speaker 1 (01:25:39):
Sure.
Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
But if you're listening on YouTube again, subscribe to the channel.
We're currently at one seventy eight, might be more, but
sub to the channel. Help us get those numbers up.
Speaker 1 (01:25:51):
How was the I know you said that the chat
was going over there.
Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
How was the chat throughout the show on YouTube? We
got a threll X. He's actually he's doing double duty.
He's in the YouTube chat as well as the discord,
so he's he kept the flow going in the YouTube chat.
So thank you for thurtos. If you're listening, actually you
are listening, you're in the discord chat. But but yeah,
(01:26:17):
subscribe to the YouTube channel. You not only get wrestling
with me and Justin and occasionally Jeff Lippman when we
cover NXC shows, which the next one won't be until
sometime next year. I don't know when that is. But
you also get a You also get entertainment variety with
me and RJ The Brooklyn Savage, which we will be
(01:26:38):
doing a show tomorrow. Definitely tomorrow, we'll be going live.
There's some big news coming up, some trailers coming up,
the Supergirl trailer and allegedly the Avengers Doomsday trailer is
dropping them all allegedly. I saw.
Speaker 1 (01:26:56):
I saw something on.
Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
Earlier. I was like, AI, Yeah, you can't trust I'll
get these weird notifications from Google. They'll be like the
trailer for Spider Man Brand New Day and it's just
like that looks fake as fuck. Stop. So but we
will be covering that tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Yeah, director Boynan now AI has taken over.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Unfortunately Skynet trying to warn us, but no, Yeah, tomorrow
will be covering those and also our top ten for
the best and I guess necessarily worse, but our least
favorite comic book properties, whether it be in movies or
TV shows. So we'll be doing that, So look out
for that to drop tomorrow live in the morning. And
(01:27:42):
then of course Metal Drive Hoops, which is every Sunday
at six with my friend Anthony and his friend Mike,
where we just talk about the Spurs mainly, but we
also talk about the league. So we just put out
the third episode recently, so check that out. Speaking of
the league.
Speaker 4 (01:28:02):
Obviously, Spurs playing right now. But the Thunder destroyed the
Uh they destroyed the the Suns. They'd be in my
fucking fifty points.
Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Oh yeah, that was the Thunder taking it this year.
They're not only taking the don't I.
Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
Don't see who's gonna beat them unless there's like a
cash off, injury or like a major trade happens for example,
like like like as for example, if Yannis comes to
Spurs and we don't give up a ton, then they
can see the Spurs being a u a threat.
Speaker 1 (01:28:35):
But man, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
We we talked about that on Sunday. They're not trading
for Gianna's because to get Yannis, the Bucks are gonna
want something nice in return, and by nice, I mean
they're gonna want to Castle or Harper and those guys
are off limits.
Speaker 1 (01:28:53):
Why does it have to be it?
Speaker 4 (01:28:55):
This is why I don't get about when people talk
about this Yannis trade Why does it just have to
be two teams?
Speaker 1 (01:29:01):
How come we can't get a third or four team involved?
Speaker 3 (01:29:05):
It's just how people operate. But it's like I've been
having a fun time arguing with Spurs fans on social media,
which I should know better, but I again, it's one
of those like.
Speaker 1 (01:29:17):
On Facebook is the dumbest people I ever mad in
my life.
Speaker 3 (01:29:19):
Oh yeah, like they they I don't know how I
get these pages, but like they'll post like, oh, Yannis
for Stephan Castle and Dylan Harper and Jeremy Sohen and
and and and Keldon Johnson and draft picks. Who says no,
I'll go me, I might giving up all that shift
for Yannis Like fuck that. Like and somebody that Gorst
(01:29:40):
was arguing with me and tried to use, uh, Kyle
Kuzma as an example, and what you said, Kyle Kuzma,
You've already lost stop. So yeah, Facebook groups they're worse
than Twitter. They're like a thousand times worse than Twitter
in my opinion. But no, Like, if it's one of
those things of like, if they can find a way
(01:30:01):
to get Giannis on this team without having to give
up a lot, and if anything, I would probably give
up so hand and maybe a Champagne fucking honest. No, No,
I'm saying, like, if they can find a way to
get like a third or fourth team in the trade,
but we.
Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
Have to give up someone significant, That's what I mean.
I'm not saying. I'm not saying Harper.
Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
I'm not saying Harper or Uh or Castle or even Fox,
but like we it will have to be So it
has to be Devin, it has to be Uh, maybe Kelton.
I'm not saying all these guys together, but I'm saying,
these are the guys that have to get trade uh,
the Atlanta pick, maybe our first round pick, and whatever
(01:30:42):
third team's gonna involved, typically the third team and maybe
Brooklyn because brook is trying to get Rism assets.
Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
New Orleans trying to get Rhythm assets right now as well.
Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
So there's there's a lot of options that they.
Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Can go in for something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:56):
But do I think we need giannest I don't think
we need them, But I mean if we don't give
up a lot to get them, I'll take them.
Speaker 3 (01:31:04):
Yeah. Sure, That's what I'm saying, Like, if if there's
a way we can get Giannis without having to give
up a whole lot. That'd be awesome, But in all actuality,
I don't think they need them. And I think if
Giannis does get traded, it's not even gonna be this year.
It's gonna be in the summer, because it may But.
Speaker 4 (01:31:26):
The team, I'm more worried about him going to I mean,
I mean not saying I'm worried, but like, I can
see him going to somewhere like Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (01:31:35):
I think Atlanta would be a great fit for him.
Speaker 3 (01:31:38):
That's random, why but why Atlanta? Though?
Speaker 1 (01:31:45):
Have you seen Atlanta's roster.
Speaker 3 (01:31:48):
I'm pissed off that Atlanta's playing this well without trade Young.
Have you seen a roster? They have a roster full
of really good young players, which again me saying I'm
pissed off that they're playing this well without Trety Young,
because that means that you know they're not they're gonna
make the play in our playoffs, and that top pick
(01:32:10):
is isn't really going to be a top pick.
Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
I don't care about them. I don't care about the Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (01:32:14):
Pick, right, But again, if we we still need to
have these high.
Speaker 4 (01:32:21):
Draft picks at this point, then we're dispersedes doing something
fucking wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:32:26):
Oh you're right. I think at the moment they're doing
pretty well. I think I think they can maybe use
another point guard just to kind of fill in this team.
Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
This seems full of cars already.
Speaker 4 (01:32:39):
We got Harper Castle, Fox, we got McLoughlin, we got
fucking h Waters, we got we got We're we're full
on points. I think we I think we need like
another wing, Yeah, like another great wing. I think then
you know, something like that, or even like another big Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:32:59):
I was gonna say that because like when we don't
we don't need point guards. We got way too meet
point guards on the team already. When Cornett was up
for that one game, they started Beyonmbo and it's like,
why are you starting byonmbo?
Speaker 4 (01:33:12):
Yeah, we need Yeah, we need to get now, I
almans say, get rid of theyonbo now, But like we
we need to start thinking about replacing beyonmbo.
Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Yeah, because it's like all X I think Kelly Olineck
I think has been doing good. Bad. They don't have
any other extra big man on the bench like that
could that could definitely help. But yeah, we'll get we'll
get off here pretty soon so we can enjoy the game.
But yeah, Metal drab Hoops look out for that and
(01:33:39):
then Twitter, x D y Experience, uh, Instagram and TikTok
same name. So and that's uh, that's all. We'll be
posting all the reels and all the other ship and
uh we'll be back next week, uh say, at the
same time, same channel, ud like Sena. We have a
few dates left until the end of the year. The
(01:34:00):
Year End Show, we'll be on a Tuesday at eight
pm Central Time at eight eight pm Central Time live
on YouTube, where we will be going over our favorite
to least favorite things in the year twenty twenty five.
And there's a lot of them for pro wrestling. What
(01:34:24):
do you already have the what you call it the
nominees categories and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (01:34:29):
I do.
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Let me pull them up real quick. Sure, actually posted
them in the discord chat. Yeah, because I made like
artwork for it. But here we come on and get
a live reaction out of me here, okay, all right, right,
(01:34:51):
all right, So best match of the year, Worst match
of the year. Okay, Male Wrestler of the Year, and
worst male wrestler of the year. Oh okay, uh female,
best and worst female wrestler.
Speaker 1 (01:35:08):
We're doing best and worst or we.
Speaker 3 (01:35:11):
Can say least favorite. I'm just I'm gonna say worst,
but I'm okay throwing it out there tag teams best
and worst. Come on, really, we're really doing that again.
I'll choose mine, you don't have to choose yours, but
I'm just don't get out there. Okay. To be honest,
there hasn't really been a lot of good tarts. But yeah,
(01:35:37):
well okay, okay, maybe maybe I'll throw that out.
Speaker 1 (01:35:40):
O think like that, it's kind of redundant with the
best and.
Speaker 3 (01:35:43):
Worst in some ways. Okay, overrated wrestler of the year,
or you can say over hyped, underrated restler of the year.
So basically just like someone that who's always TechEd been good,
but it's just now you're realizing, Wait, how's it like,
(01:36:05):
how is it that this guy's been hidden this whole time?
Or I guess you can call it like a hidden gem,
you know, that's the best way to put it. So, yeah, underrated,
most improved. Yeah, that's another category we have. Twenty twenty
six is my Year Award yep, best Moment of the
year or biggest moment of the year, however you want
(01:36:25):
to put it, best and worst pay per View of
the Year, Best and Worst promo of the Year, bonehead
moment of the Year. So this could be something Usually
it's something unrelated to wrestling but more related to someone
who's in wrestling that just does a very dumb thing
(01:36:47):
to do. So Rookie of the Year, Best Announced Team,
and then best and Worse Faction, and if there's any
other categories we can think of, we'll add them. But uh,
those so far are the categories for Tuesday. And I'll
(01:37:08):
fourd this this over to justin.
Speaker 1 (01:37:09):
That's that's got to be on the sixteenth next week?
Or is it twenty third?
Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
Twenty third on a Tuesday?
Speaker 1 (01:37:18):
Okay, that's that. I thought it was twenty third. I
just wanted to make sure.
Speaker 3 (01:37:21):
Okay, okay, but twenty third people, that'll be our year
end award. That'll be the wait, wait, let me let
me do the mathema my head eighteen nineteen the eighth
annual Year End Awards. So but justin tell them about
spine bust or teas.
