what happened. And so all in all, Becky Lynch ended
up costing See Them Punk the title by aligning by
I guess, realigning herself with with with Us seth rollins
her real life shoot husband and vice versa. They've been

a couple on on screen before, you know, six years ago,
and that went over, you know, splendidly, But now that
they're both heels, Uh, it should work on paper, it
should work, It should make sense somewhat. And the next
night on or I guess the next afternoon, since they
were still in France on Raw See Them Punk confronted

Becky and then Becky slapped them and did some weird
motor boat thing as somebody referred to it, which I
which I referred to it as my cat when it
one of my cats. When they're hungry, they like to
be all cute, cute, see, even though they want nothing
to do with me for the most part until I'm
feeding them. And then Punk you know, said that you're

gonna regret that pretty much, which goes into Friday Night's SmackDown,
which was in Chicago, as we all know, is a
punk some town as we can believe that, and the
whole show. The whole show was sold out. It was packed.
It was packed to the gills, you know, kind of
like another Chicago show from four years ago in another
company that is a name. The name escapes me. At

the moment seth Rawlins comes out, he's in the crowd, he's,
you know, doing his usual shtick, and then he brings
out Becky and then Becky comes out dressed like him
and and salts the Chicago crowd, tells the Chicago crowd
your team suck, you know, telling Kolbi White, who's the
point guard for the Chicago Bulls, they should trade you commediately.

Doesn't talk about the Bears. Who which is? Says favorite
team and the Bears kind of stink and then see him.
Punk comes out pretty much telling Becky, this still doesn't
have anything to do with you. This has with your
coward of a husband. Becky again slaps Punk, says, what
are you gonna do about it? Does the weird motor
boat wing? Again? I don't know what that what all

that's about? And then Punk leaves the ring and then
tells Becky, you know, anyone knows, anyone that knows me
knows that I would never put my hands on a lady. Thankfully,
I know someone who will. I'm probably I'm probably skipping
over some important things, even though there really wasn't anything
important to bring up in the promo. What I mean

that kind of was Punk was like, you know, I
called I could have called in a few favors. I
could have had my sister come in here to whoop
your ass. I could have had Bailey come in here
to whoop your ass. I could have had Real Ripley
to come in whoop your ass. And then to you know,
skip ahead, going back to what I was saying earlier,
He's saying, you know, thankfully. I know somebody who will
put their hands on a woman. And about was it

like five to seven seconds of silence, and then you
he lighted up play and the place goes nuts. And
then Becky's expression changes. You see Seth who is trying
to contain his happiness because I'm pretty sure Seth likes Aj.
I'm also pretty sure Seth likes Punk. Let's just you

know again, but I'm pretty sure Seth remembers AJ, and
they worked together and they were pretty cool or good
friends or I don't know whatever. But Aj comes out,
and Aj doesn't look different, matter of actually looks better.
You remember my wife, she was watching the segment with me,

and she was like, she looks better because she has
like a six pack and everything, because I know she
did the wild bit. But yeah, she came out, and
you know, Punk looked like he was holding back tears
because he was just happy for his wife. He he
was letting the segment be all about her, not about him.

So I thought that was a that was pretty sweet.
I'm all about love. I love love. And then you know,
AJ came out and her and Becky scuffled a little bit.
She even gave her a black Eye and slapped the
ship out of her and uh smack Down ends with
AJ jumping in Punk's arms and then kissing him, which
the camera cut away for some reason, and so AJ

leaves back, which I'm happy because I like AJ. I've
always liked AJ. We brought up a interesting conversation, you know,
last week, which I put up a story for it
if you guys you know, haven't seen it yet, to
which we you know, justin poised the question, you know,
does do the fans tend to kind of romanticize her

career a little bit, which, which you know is a
is a fair question. You know, AJ was really only
on top for about three years, I know, I mean,
I know she was there longer before that. You know,
she was in FCW and you know, blah blah blah
blah blah, and then she did the NXT thing. But
I was where NXT was NXT. That was when it
was you know, the Variety Show, and you know, then

she was on the main roster, you know, with Caitlin.
They were in a tag team and then I forgot,
I really forgot. Oh yeah, and I'm remembering. So she
was in an on screen relationship with Daniel Bryan and
then Punk came in and that's when AJ showed off
her personality and then did the whole crazy bit and
that's how it happened. So AJ, I would say, you know,

good wrestler, but I think she came out at a
time when women's wrestling was still kind of seen as
an attraction. It's weird because she left right at the
time when women's wrestling was starting to get taken seriously
in WWE. I just want to propase that w WE

because I know, you know, the knockouts had their thing
and you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. But right around the
time when she left, that was when NXT was starting
to take form. That was when you started to see
you know, the Bailey's and the Sasha's and the Charlotte's
and the Becky's and then eventually OSCA and you know,

so far, you know, you know whatever. But you know,
to say, you know, it's a fair it's a fair question.

I was listening to Wrestling Soup yesterday and shout out

in said something kind of interesting where he said that,

used the word, he used the term trophy wives. And
I'll agree to some extent they are. They are both
you know, they're they're obviously you know they they got

Nikki obviously got where she was because she was with
John Cena and she was pushed at a time again

where obviously you know, the whole thing with Aja where
she caught out Stephie and McMahon for you know, the
Diva's Revolution gave divas a chance blah blah blah. And
of course they didn't give her credit because she wented
Stephie McMahon. Instead, they gave all the credit to Nikki,
which again I've said before, I don't hate Nicky. I

mean I think she she's trying now, she's trying to
get her life back together, being for what happened with
her ex husband, but they give her way too much credit.
Is she popular, yes, but they give her far too
much credit. It's it's Aj that belongs to AJ. The
difference between AJ and Nicky, you know, is leaps and bounds.

Like AJ was able to stay popular on her own.
She was able to get over on her own. And
does it help that she's married to see Him Punk. Yes,
But her and Punk's popularity I think are different on
their own, like they were both earned. It wasn't a thing.
It wasn't a case of AJ getting popular solely because

she was married to see them Punk, Like, she was
already popular even before she married Sam Punk, and she
was able to stay popular. You know, all you heard,
you know for years is when is AJ lead going
to come back, and you know, we finally got it,
and you know, you saw on social media a lot
of the you know, current to former you know, women's

talents were happy to see aj Beck like she is
very well liked in the locker room. They referred to
her as everyone's you know wrestling mom. You know Ava,
you know Ava from NXT. She put you know, ten
year old avas happy to see aj Beck. You you know,
the same thing with Rox Sam Petes who refers to

aj and Punk as their wrestling parents. So it was nice.
It was nice seeing people on social media react to it.
You know, there's kind of this discourse online where it's like,
you know, why is everyone happy? Why is everyone pretending
to be happy to see a thirty eight year old
woman back in back in wrestling, And it's like, I

look at it in two different ways. Is everyone happy
to see aj Lee back? Yes? Are people overacting in
their reactions? Yes to some extent. You know, it's in
order to get a lot of these views, in order
to get subscriptions, you know, it's they have to ham

it up for the camera. You know, they can't just
sit there and be like, oh cool, you know that was.
That was essentially my reaction when AJ came back. I
was happy, but at the same time, I wasn't like like,
I wasn't doing that. I was more just like, oh shit,
she's back. Cool like that. That was pretty much my reaction.
You can't you can't do that on social media, you know,

while you're reacting to it and expect to get views.
But uh, we'll circle back to SmackDown. We'll just go
to raw. So AJ with their first big promo since
coming back, you know, you can tell there was a
little bit of rest there, you know, because she hadn't

been in a wrestling ring or I guess on WWE television,
you know, in over ten years. And but but she
did fine. Like I put on social media that she
it didn't even sound like she was cutting a traditional
you know, by the numbers, you know, wrestling promo. It
just seemed like she was talking like a human being.

Like she sounded like she was just being a human being,
you know, talking to people. And you know, she also
has that very cynical, you know, sarcastic sense of humor,
which I did because that's that's me, that's my bread
and butter. It might not work for some people, but
it worked for me. I loved it. I know some

people said it went a little bit too long. I'm like,
I can see where you're coming from, but it's fucking
a j ly. We haven't seen her in ten years.
She hasn't kind of promo in ten years. So if
it goes long, fine, I mean, if anything, probably didn't
closed the show, but maybe she requested not to close
the show cause who knows. Maybe, or also Netflix, so

there's really no streaming limits. But she come to she
came out and talked about mental health and you know,
going to therapy, and she mentioned, you know, I don't
have the promo R in front of me, but she
all no, She just mentioned that when she left wrestling,
she just wanted to work on herself. You know, she
was unhealthy. And she went to therapy and even got

a therapy pop from the crowd, which I didn't mind
because you know, let's face it, a lot of us,
a lot of us wrestling fans need therapy. You know,
Lord knows I need it. And she looked genuinely happy.
She was like, she was genuinely happy out there, and
you know, she mentioned, you know, watching Monday night Raw

seeing see him punk go from countless opponents like John
Cena and Drew mcintyren Seth Rollins and then brought up
Becky Lynch to what she's saying, you know, her and
Becky Lynch, and there's another reality where her and Becky
could have been best friends. But then Becky Lynch decided
to motor boat her husband, which I thought was kind
of funny. And you know, she had mentioned how her

and Becky have a lot in common, you know, and
then she mentioned how her and Becky are both New
York Times bestsellers do what she made a pose about it,
which I'm like, oh, that's kind of funny. And then
Becky comes out and Becky says, you and me have
nothing in common. You know, your New Jersey. You're a
New Jersey trash weirdo. Becky is terrible talking shit like

I know I just brought up aj You know, her
personality isn't always going to be for everybody, it is
for me. Becky's personality, whatever that is, I just think
it's too cornbolish, like, way too corn like. I know
I'm a hornball to an extent, but hers is worse.
Like it almost sounds like it almost sounds like talking
shit on a playground. I don't know. I don't like

it personally, I don't. I don't care for it, but
it works for some people. Doesn't want for it. And
you know, she brings up, you know that her husband
sucks and that she'd take a bath after touching her
scummy husband, and you know, then you know, she's like,
where is your husband? Where's you know? My hot husband's here?
And then Seth comes out and Seth tells AJ just

give her back the title because you know, AJ still
has the Women's Hot Neil Championship, which she stole on Friday.
And then AJ says, you know, if you want it back,
let's let's let's do uh, let's do a tag match
Me and Seampunk versus Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins Twitch

Seth Rollins, I actually liked him in this segment. He
was less, He was less hammy, if that's if that's,
if that makes sense. He came out and just gave
his sunglasses and you know, the belt to Becky and
was just talking to AJ like, listen, you haven't been
here for a while, so things work differently. And I

forgot what he said, but I know. AJ responded with
thinking for man explaining it, and it's it's kind of
a reiteration of Becky and Seths or Becky and Punk's thing,
which is somewhat different because Aj doesn't put her hands
on Seth like he tries to get the belt and
then she gets right in his way and like does
her like typical smile and pose, and then Seth tells,

you know, Aj, listen, you know, listen to me. I'm
Seth freaking rollins on the world champion blah blah blah.
And then Punk comes out with no music, which I
actually liked. Actually that's a trope I'm kind of getting
tired of, which anytime someone's coming out, they automatically need
their music. Like if it's like it's for obvious reasons,
if it's for a match, if it's you know, for whatever.

But if it's just like a run in, why does
somebody need their music, Like it makes more sense to
just not have their music playing, just saying. But Punk
comes out and kind of blows past Becky and then
goes for a gts on Seth and then Seth gets
out of it, and then Seth says, you know you
you want a tag team match, you got it to
which Becky's like, what the fuck? So that's how the

segment ends. And yeah, Russell Paluza, we're gonna get a
j Lee beck and the w w ring. I know
she's wrestled before. I know. I think she wrestled at
wow T which if Mish is out there and listening,
he probably knows more about this than me. But it
was the first wrestling match, you know, in w WI

in ten years, so I'll be honest, I'm a lot
more interested in Becky and AJ as opposed to Seth
and Punk. But but you know, this is a tag
match to protect AJ, so it makes sense, you know,
for obvious reasons. And it's a big money match, and
you know, for what it's worth. Russell Palooza is shaping

up to be a big show. It's the first, you
know show on ESPN to which, to answer everyone's question,
I ain't signed out for that shirt. I ain't paying
thirty bucks for another app. I already have a VPN.

I mean, you kind of knew where it was going.
You knew exactly where this match was going. But for
the most part, I was I was digging it. You

and you know, doing moves that he doesn't usually do,

watch sometimes. You know. He did it with Logan Paul
at clash in Paris, which I which I admitted like
the first half of the match, wasn't crazy about the
second half where they were just treading off different finishers
and doing a ring honor match from the two thousands,
which that's everyone's cup of tea, wasn't necessarily mine. But
I still thought the match was fun. And then I
thought this match was fun too. Brock Lesler came out

in five, both of them to it. I think everyone
kind of expected that he gets to the back, and
you know, brock Lesner gets a promo saying, hey, John Cen,
I'll see it. Russell Palooza, bitch. There's something kind of
funny about people trying to say Russell Palooza in a
serious to I don't know, but so that match is

gonna happen, which we all expected. Samy Zain I just
justin called it right after I think, either before or
after Russellmini, which was samy Zain's gonna win the Rumble,
which is gonna be in Saudi Arabia, and then he's

gonna go into WrestleMania and face who's ever the world
champion and win it. And from the way, it looks
like it's gonna be seth to which granted there is
a story there. There is a story with those two,
so it's not like it's just a random matchup. Okay,

guys really pining for a Sammy's Ain title run a
world title? Un be honest. I love Sammy's Ain. I've
always been a big sammuse Ain fan, him and Kevin Owens,

a pop him win. Him winning the world title at
Mania was a pop and he lost it even before
summers Land, Like that was an experiment solely because jay

winning the Rumble would be a pop because you know,
it's Saudi Arabia and he's you know, a local, and
then him winning the world title would be a big moment.
But again it's like what do you do after that? Like,
what's next? He's not gonna be world He's not gonna
have a lengthy toddling. He's dropping that ship before a SummerSlam.

I can guarantee you. I can guarantee that, But honestly,
I don't care. I don't want to see Sammy's Ain
in this spot. He's the fucking US champion, Like his
whole thing is I want to be a world champion,
but he's a US champion. Like I just don't get it.
I don't get why they would put the US title.

I mean, he belongs in that area. I mean, can
you say the single about Kevin Owens. I think i'd
buy Kevin Owens moral as a world champion than Sammy's
a like. Again, love Sammy's Ain, but him as a
world champion. I just I don't want to see it.

I'm curious to see what everyone's thoughts is about that.

like to give him a pass on that, but the
crowd didn't really seem to be all that into this match.
