Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mhm. This in Sports Center.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
All right, guys, welcome, welcome, welcome to the experience. We
are back. It is Wednesday here in San Antonio, and
I am Drew In with me as always.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Justin from Spinebuster of Teas and spinebuster T's dot com.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, sir, we're back. Last week we were doing summer
Summer Slam predictions. Now we're gonna talk about SummerSlam and
that includes uh yeah, just our thoughts on how the show,
how both nights went, and some news. But the big
news topic of the week, I'm pretty sure you guys
(01:15):
already know about. It just occurred today. I guess we
can kind of jump into that already if you want.
Do you want to you want to jump into that
right now? Or do you want to save it? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
No, no, that's the major talking point. I'm pretty sure
once they hear the opinion of what we gotta say.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
For that, So dope. All right. So I was announced
today that WWE will be streaming their pay per views
or pos at what if we choose a column start
next year after their contract with expirers with Peacock, So
(01:48):
it will be they will be streaming on ESPN on
their streaming service which actually launches.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh, they officially announced the date for it.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, the twenty first. Okay, yeah, the streaming service launches
on the twenty first. WWE's pls officially are going to
be there next year. So their contract with Peacock ends
in March, so I'm assuming March it will be ESPN
streaming service. It will be at a price of twenty
(02:24):
nine to ninety nine a month, which also includes I
believe the NFL Red Package Red Zone. The Disney Sports
division made the announcements as the company was reporting its
quarterly earnings. I'm reading this off of deadline Wednesday morning.
The moves follow confirmation of a landmark deal between the
NFL and ESPN, which sees the league taking a ten
(02:47):
percent equity, and we can just kind of skip that though.
WWE's live events, including marquee titles like WrestleMania and SummerSlam,
we'll head to ESPN platforms starting in twenty twenty six
after a five year run with Peacock. The NFL Draft,
a mainstain on ESPN that has grown into a major
viewership draw in recent years, has also been given a
(03:09):
long term extension by its partners. Is there anything else
WW related. Jimmy Pittaro, chairman ESPN, saluted the ww's a
mensta voted and passionate fan base and said carrying premium
live events from the wrestling circuit would help drive our
streaming future. And ESPN and TKO also a long years
(03:36):
long relationship banks to a UFC rights deal. Also noted
on other articles that this is this is primarily in
the US. These are this is a US ESPN. So
if you live overseas, if you live in the UK
or Canada, you'll still get you'll still get access to
(03:59):
ww's po's on Netflix. So thank god, thank god for
the VPN I have. I guess that's kind of the
better way to do it if you don't want to
pay extra thirty for another streaming service just to primarily
watch WWE. But what's up, Scott? But yeah, so that's
(04:21):
the news, uh WWE, or that's the news for that.
WWE apparently got a one one point six billion dollars
for said streamings for said streaming rights. This has been
talked about for a while. I know the idea essentially
(04:41):
was Netflix. That kind of seemed like the more obvious
way to go.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
But ESPN and Netflix were the two top ones for sure.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Right right, ESPN I guess kind of makes sense because
wwe is I guess can they consider themselves? And I
think even academic man said this on an interview, once
they consider themselves Disney and you know Disney owns ESPN.
So yeah, this is pretty crazy, you know the how
(05:15):
do you feel about it? How do you feel about
this deal in this in the streaming service and everything
else around it?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Well, I mean you missed, you missed a very very
very important note with this. It's cable subscribers. So if
you if you have cable and if you have ESPN,
you will have access to the pay per views at
no additional costs.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh yeah, all right, so there's that.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
So so this is directly from the ESPN website about
the about about this, about this release. Here they gave like,
you know, options, so you know, like, oh, number one
it's called ESPN e's for entertainment, and all the way
down to number four it says cable subscribers are covered
(06:06):
in addition to ESPN DTC subscribers, Fans that access ESPN
through a traditional pay TV provider Comcast, Direct TV, Hulu,
et cetera. Right, Live TV UTV. I will also have
access to the new features through the ESPN app, so
(06:27):
you will not have to pay a single penny.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
To get access to everything that the guy is not just.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
You know, WWE's POS and Red Zone. I mean they
also going to have Hulu, Disney Plus, ESPN Plus and
so you're gonna get all that part of your package already.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
So I think, I mean, it was kind of you know,
under the radar.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
But however, I think that is a usually important thing
to bring up because the narrative out there right now,
is there No, I'm being twenty nine ninety nine. I know,
I gotta be a tweenty nine niney nine. If you
have kbar Ray and everybody does already, but if you
have cable already, you don't have to worry about pain
an additional time.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
So what are your thoughts about that? That's since that's
news to you.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Well, I was actually gonna ask you. So, so if
you have YouTube TV, if you have Hulu TV, if
you have Direct TV Dish Network like you just mentioned.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Hold on, hold on this. So it's so it's traditional
TV providers Comcast, Direct TV, Spectrum, Hulu Plus, Live TV,
and YouTube TV so I don't think like so some
people all what about sling or I don't think it's
(07:54):
including that.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
So well, I know YouTube TV like they've done, They've
partnered with ABC and the ESPN in the past for
the NBA finals. Ye, So that was my question. So, like,
if you have YouTube TV, for example, no additional cost
since you're already paying for the app, you know, since
already paying for YouTube TV, you can just watch the
(08:16):
pay per views. That's my question. Yeah, okay, so like
say Saturday, for example, and you have YouTube TV on,
you can just turn on ESPN on Saturday night and
just watch you know, Backlash for example.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
I mean, I don't I don't know if it's not
going to be on traditional ESPN the shows. So new
app mhm.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Is it ESPN Plus or just a brand new ESPN app.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
It's gonna be a it's called well, I don't know
the exact name of the app yet, but uh is
ESPN DTC. I don't exactly don't know what the hell
DTC stands for Direct to Content Maybe I don't know,
but it's gonna be an app that you will have,
like on your TV and you'll be able to watch it.
Kind of like a Hulu were you know, we may
(09:18):
get access to like like a WrestleMania or a Summer
Slam on ESPN. Probably not the full show, but maybe
like the first hour, maybe a pre show things that nature,
so that that could possibly come. But you were saying
that what was the date.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Twenty first of August?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Okay? Yeah, so it says on the ESPN site here
ESPN front row actually says ESPN will announce a DTC
launch date soon. It says, while it's been announced that
DTC offering will launch in early fall, the exact launch
(10:00):
day has yet to be determined and will be announced
in the coming weeks. And what was it? Oh well
this is wow? Okay, well this is back in May,
so yeah, so what was the date again.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
That you saw that you saw it for August twenty first.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Okay, okay, so it'll be August twenty person okay, okay,
because I thought this was like today that they launched this.
But so DTC stands for direct direct to direct to consumer,
So so we'll what are your thoughts about, like, you know,
(10:33):
does that change your thoughts about it? The whole twenty
nine ninety nine thing when there's already a plan in
place for for cable subscribers.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Well not me personally, because I have a VPN, so
I can just switch.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Mean table right now currently or you know.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I mean with all the apps I'm paying for, you know,
I might as well be paying for cable. But I
mean I have a VPN. I know a lot of
people on Twitter, on you know, Twitter X whatever you
want to call it, are pretty much of the mindset
of like I'll just get a VPN. Yeah, I mean
I think there's people that already have VPNs anyway, because
like I mentioned, the articles that I've been reading, it
(11:12):
primarily just says US. It didn't say UK.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
No, this is not gonna affect air national markets at all,
so we'll still be on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Or there's gonna be people that might do the old
ways of going on like you know, websites to watch
you know, the pay per views, you know, free of charge,
you know, wink wink.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
But I mean, if you can't four five dollars one
for a VPN, then you shouldn't be watching any type
of wrestling.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
I have Nord VPN. Nord VPN is you know, the
better one. It's it's worth the money. But yeah, this
is obviously it is obviously huge. There's really no way
to put it. WWE at this point, they've transcended wrestling. Yeah,
you know, they have become the Disney, the Walt Disney
of wrestling. Whether that's a good thing or a bad
(12:04):
thing as far as success goes, it's a good thing.
You know, they're making money over fist. My worry is
that they go back into that bad habit of making
money in spite of themselves. Yeah, almost last year, So yeah,
(12:27):
to me, that's just that's my big worry is that, oh,
we have all this money and we don't really have
to do much, like all we have to just keep
making money and we'll be fine. And also another worry
is that is that maybe maybe maybe I'm wrong, but
with all this money that they're making, they might have
to cut costs, and my costs, I mean people, you know,
(12:52):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Know, all this they're making, they're gonna have to cut people,
Like what if they're making more money? Why would they?
I mean, I'm just saying logically they are gonna cut people,
But why would they though if they're gonna be making
even more money?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Well, I know the most recent deal they had where
the deal with the Triple A, right where they had
to release some people. Okay, you remember was it was
it Black Wednesday or Black whatever where it's usually it's
usually always after Mania where you have to cut people,
And that was around the time when they made the
deal with the Triple A, right. So I don't know. Again,
(13:29):
maybe I'm overreacting, but I just I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Say, but I guess what I'm asking is is that
they're getting paid this money. They're not paying the money
to ESPN. They're getting paid by ESPN and you know,
in Disney, uh to provide a service. So I'm just
I guess, I'm I guess I'm just kind of confused
on like what why would they start releasing people if
they're gonna start making more money?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Yeah? True, But I don't know. I just my worries
just kind of come from what I just mentioned. And
the bigger one is, you know, making all this money
but putting on an inferior product, which you know has
been happening for a while.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
But do you think that they will stick with the
five match pay per view format?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
I hope, So I really do hope. So I hope
they don't.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
I hope, I can't you care to explain?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
I I get why wrestle Mania is two nights. That
makes sense because it's WrestleMania. We don't want it, you know.
We we talked about WrestleMania from six years ago where
it was like fucking like what fifteen matches in one night? Right?
And then all in came in It's like, hold our beer,
we're gonna do six hours. But I again, I think
(14:42):
that's gonna be a feeling of like, hey, do you
like this where we're gonna give you more of it?
It's like do you like do you like Crown Jewel
or we're gonna give you two Crown Jewels in one
night or in a weekend or whatever the fuck?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Right?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
You know, do you like you know TLC? Well, we're
gonna do the whole pay per view of TLC matches.
Like I just I don't like that notion of of
you know, do you like this where we're gonna give
you more of it? Because you know, Marvel did that
where Marvel was getting popular and then they're like, hey,
(15:18):
do you like Marvel? Or we're gonna give you five
movies a year. It's like why so and and it's
not don't even think as a w W or a
TKO thing that's gonna I think that's gonna be a
Disney thing where Disney loves to put out more content.
And granted, they're still gonna make money regardless of what
I think. Same thing with WWE, but I just I
(15:41):
just stick to what works. Don't try to give too
much because then it's gonna water down the product more
than an already has been. And also, I think another
big worry is, you know they're gonna continue to hike
up the prices, if not even more.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
What about why I'm up with the people. Well, they're
saying that they're paying thirty dollars a month for five
well for five matches a pay per view, and one
of those matches is like understorting a name out there
like oh Coles Wrestling. Well, way, you say to those
(16:18):
people that that are asking for more and they're paying,
you know they're gonna potentially could be paying thirty dollars
a month for only five matches.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Can you repeat that question again?
Speaker 1 (16:31):
What do you say to the people that is complaining
about you know that they will have to pay three
dollars a month and that there's only five matches on
the cart whatever pay per view that it is, right,
you know, backlash, whatever the case it may be. And
one of those matches is like that involves a Solo
Cola where people, you know, some people don't really like
(16:53):
Sosa Cola's work, right, or or it could involve someone
like a Zelna Vega where there's some people out there
that doesn't like Selena Vega's work. What do you say
to those people that want more bang for their buck
it's not only having only five matches, because it seems
like you're in favor only having five matches on a
car per event.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Well, I don't want you to misconstrue how you know
what I said, because I personally would stick to the
five match format. But like I mentioned, I think it's
gonna be that Disney ideology of like, you know, we're
gonna give you more instead of less. It's more, it's
more is more. So like you just said, so.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Connor Klain, do you think that they're going to increase? No,
And I don't think it has anything to do with Disney.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
It's Disney, dude, trust me, it'll be a Disney.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
So you think Disney is going to be like, hey,
we want eight matches.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
I think Disney will have some input. I mean TKO
has had input. Now that Disney owns the pay per views,
you know, on their streaming service, they're going to have
some input. And if.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
I don't think they're gonna be like, hey we need
seven matches or we need we need to matches on
this time around to that extent, because they didn't they
didn't buy. They didn't buy. Now if they bought w
W outright, I totally understand that. But they are just
basically buying the rights to stream the pay.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Per views that that mouse will want input. Trust me, Disney.
Disney owns almost like the entire world.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
They don't own WWE.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
They own the pay per views. That's it again, that
they can have some input. I said some, not all.
But that mouse, if it wants eight matches, did w
W is gonna consider?
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Well, that's how some input. That is like strong input.
If they if they want a certain number of matches.
I I personally don't see that, but I digress.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
But uh, I think they're gonna maybe put out more matches.
Which as much as I though the five match format,
I do love it, but sometimes it's like, and I
me gonna sound like a hypocrite, I'm really not, but like,
I get why they leave some people off the card.
But then there's like some nights where it's like, hey,
(19:15):
we're gonna leave Damian Priest and Alistair blackoff of the
Summer Slam card and we're gonna have the main event SmackDown,
where it's just like, I don't know, some of these
matches seem like they can be pay per P matches,
But I digress. But I mean, I'm fine with less
is more, but again, it's gonna be more is more.
It's gonna go from hey, let's do seven matches to hey,
(19:36):
let's do eight matches, to we're back to doing twelve
matches in one fucking night, and then eventually it's gonna
be hey, backlashes two nights. Hey, you know, uh, the
Night of Champions is two nights. You know King of
the Ring is Well, actually, wouldn't mind King of the
Ring being two nights if you want to do the
you know, the tournament kind of thing. But that's just
(20:00):
not just me spitballing. But overall, good for them. How
the product turns out, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Do you think that also with this as well, because
they're getting paid him a crap ton of money. Because
we didn't even talk about the other side of this
as well.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Where.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
They're going to be involved with ESPN. So what do
you think the presentation will be in like the not
necessarily presentation will be also presitation number one, but also
number two. What do you think? How do you think
ESPN is going to incorporate WWI on their television shows.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I mean they've been doing it for a while. I
mean you're obviously going to see more wrestling, maybe more
wrestlers on my first take with Steven A. Smith. I
know Pat has his own show. I mean Pat's kind
of transcended wrestling and sports where he's kind of like
his own thing. But you might even see more maybe
(21:07):
some documentaries on ESPN about or like some shorts like
like quick twenty thirty minute shorts about Cody Rhodes or
Roman reigns or what have you. Yeah, I think it's
just gonna be little things because like we mentioned, you know,
they just brought the pay per views and didn't buy
the whole product. You're gonna see more on Netflix. But
(21:28):
as far as like ESPN goes I think it's just
I think it'll just be little things like you know,
Steven A. Smith doing is my top five, you know,
moments in WW this week or some shit like that.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
Do you think that they they will incorporate Sports Center
to be live one location for our summer Slam for
Wrestle media. Do you see something like that happening?
Speaker 2 (21:53):
That makes sense? I'll be fine with that.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Like Sday, like Cody Rose or like horror Win's the
WW Championship up on on on Sports Center after russell
Mans order to do interviews kind of like how they
do with like the NBA or the NFL. Like, do
you foresee something like that?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yes, yeah, I can. I can. I mean, I wouldn't
mind seeing a Smith shown up at a pay per
view and just doing like a bit. I'm not saying
like fight someone, but like be like a heel manager
to someone for a night or just do color commentary.
That'd be kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Mhmm.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
But I don't know what do you.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Think, Like, I don't want to see that. I don't
want to see that just because of maybe him maybe
maybe him showing up to like the pre shows, right
and the post shows doing some analyst stuff, right, maybe
be a you know, an interviewer backstage something like that.
But I don't necessarily think that he needs to be
(22:50):
like on commentary or necessarily needs to be like a
manager of some sorts. It'll stort of makes sense, sure, right,
but uh kind of like with Jelly Road jerrywell, you
know he got involved in it makes sense whatever, right,
But I just don't think that he just needs to
be there just because oh it's you know, it is
Russell Manny. We got gotta put some from ESPN on
the show, like, you know what I mean. So I
(23:11):
think that's I think I think I think it will
be better within his role. Within his role, he's a
you know, he's a sports analyst, right, he used to
be uh an interviewer right in these early days at
ESPN too, So I think something like that would be fine.
But but I think I'm pretty big on having wrestlers
(23:35):
being on Sports Center, right, having Sports Center on location
for these big shows to make it a big deal, right,
because guess what, the show is gonna be played in
bars and doctors' offices, restaurants things that nature and there,
and w W is gonna be on the TV. And
I think it's going to help legitimate legitimonize WW even
(23:57):
more from being just so, it's just that there's a
thing that people watch now now it's gonna be on
sports channels. I think I think it will be a
big deal for them, right even though I believe that
WW may you know, to your point, and they already
have been super lazy on what they've been doing because
they're making a whole bunch of money. It's kind of
(24:17):
like how it was back in twenty, you know, sixteen,
seventeen eighteen, when they're making a whole bunch of money
even before these mega deals. And you know, I just
hope that I just hope that they don't get even
more lazy than what they already are. Right now, so.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Let me let me ask one more thing and then
we can move on nless there's something else you want
to bring up. But do you think it's gonna Do
you think ESPN is gonna expect a better product or
do you think they're not really gonna care because they
have WWE on their on their content.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
No, they're not because because they know that WW is
gonna pay the fans are going to pay for the
subscription service.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Well, no. I guess I was referring more to as
like ESPN is going to look at it more like
we have more content rather than you know, we have something.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
That doesn't matter. They look at the numerus subscribers and
and give two ships about the content being put out.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
All right, I just wanted to just want to make
sure I.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Look at the UFC.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Is the UFC doing great things right now?
Speaker 2 (25:29):
I haven't heard anything about the UFC.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Well, I mean, I mean the UFC has I mean,
I won't say they're not doing well, obviously doing well, right,
but they don't have as many start I mean Comrade
Gregor John Jones like guys like that. I mean, they're
not around no more. Like they're the stars that they
have now is like they don't have Kabeb no more.
And the Nunez doesn't fight no more. I think she
(25:54):
is coming back, but but it's like the stars that
they have there now is like I don't even know
who who these fucking people are, right, But I just
think that when it comes to ESPN, they can give
two shits about what the product is gonna end up being.
They know what they're getting. When it comes to WWE,
(26:17):
it doesn't matter when they got you know, when they're
in big stamps like MetLife, like Allegiant, like Cowboys Stam.
When there's you know, fifty sixty seventy thousand fans in there,
doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if if you got these wrestling
fans who pay six hundred dollars for fucking championship belts,
if those are the fans that that's really gonna be
(26:38):
paying twenty nine niney nine a month, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
No, I expected as much, but it's one of those
things that it's unfortunate that that's the business model of like,
you know, we want quality over quantity, but it feels
more like we just want quantity because we're making money.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Well, I mean, yeah, quantity for sure.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
But you know.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
A lot of people are saying, you know, this is
you know, the end of you know, there's some you know,
some pans that are like, oh, it's the end of
ESPN as we know it, the end of the rest,
It's the end of wrestling as we know it. I mean,
look at the end of the day, the bubble's gonna
burst and you know everyone's gonna come back down to Earth, right,
(27:28):
you know, there's gonna be changes. I don't want to
suspect on what, but I believe there's gonna be some
significant changes to the WW within next year a year
and a half, not like in reference to this I
am talking about in reference to leadership.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Oh so.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I don't think Triple Ah is going to be there
as long as we think he's going to be there.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
I believe there is a I currently believe that there
is an internal struggle for power within that company.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
I mean, I hear I this is not the first
time I've heard that. I've been hearing that for a while.
Like I worries because, like with Triple H, like I've
always heard, Triple H has always wanted to run the
show his own way. But at the end of the day,
you know, ww's owned by another company, Like they're not
(28:23):
a privately owned I mean, they haven't been a privately
owned company for a long time, but especially now that
they're owned by another company, there's obviously more hands. You know,
there's obviously more cooks in the kitchen. You know, you
got Ari Emmanuel, who's you know, his boss, and a
lot there's some shit that happens on the show because
it's a favorite to him. You know, the Travis Scott
(28:44):
showing up was a favor to him. You know a
lot of these celebrities they do seem like it's a
favor to him or a favor to somebody. And you know,
we talked about that on Real Show, and well most
of it was I don't think was bull I think
it was kind of bullshit and seems stage. But the
one thing that did kind of makes sense was that
(29:07):
anytime Triple H wanted something like it's like to put
a guy over, someone else will jump in and be like,
oh hey, but what about this guy, and they would
go with that guy. So I don't know, I I
agree with you. I I don't see Triple H lasting
in this company that long. If anything, he'll probably get
(29:30):
another job on the office, but I honestly will no.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
I think if if Triple A is not had a
career of I don't see him within the company at all.
I think he will be out of WWE completely could
be pushed out.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Which was unfortunate. I guess we're getting too meta with this,
but like, if Triple H does leave WWE, where do
you see him going? What do you see him doing
after wrestling? Be my guess yeah, uh a W I'm playing,
I'm playing.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Can you imagine, you never know?
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Can you imagine Triple H being the head of creative
and a W That would be really fucking interesting.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Look, never say never in pro wrestling, Never say never
in pro wrestling. Crazier things have happened.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
I mean, there's already guys in a W that worked
on your Triple H and love him. So I don't
know that that'd be that'd be kind of fucking rad.
But uh yeah, that was our thoughts on the on
the deal. If you have any thoughts on that, let
us know, post it in the YouTube chat or I
(30:51):
don't know, right right right, it somewhere if you're if
you want us to check it out.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
But somewhere, Yeah, just write on your on a piece
of paper at home, and you know we'll somehow read it.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Yes, send to us. He was sticky in a Justin
shopp put it on a carrier pigeon. I don't know,
do something. But all right, So that's enough of that,
So we'll talk about SummerSlam for well, not for a bit.
That's gonna be another big news story. Se Yeah, you
ready talk about SummerSlam?
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
I was good, all right. SummerSlam was in East ruth Off,
New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. Night one had fifty three,
one hundred and sixty one people. Night two had sixty thousand, five,
five hundred and sixty one people, with a combined total
of one hundred and thirteen, seven hundred and twenty two.
(31:47):
So they were pretty good over there. So overall, what
were your thoughts on I guess the overall like look
of the show, the feel of the show and everything.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
That's the standard standard big show feeling.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Stage was very basic in a way, still felt big,
but it was very basic. Medline Sam looks good. Uh,
those stam shows look good as far as like at
night and dust. So you know, I didn't really have
like any like oh my god, you know what I
mean with it. The one thing I did appreciate that
(32:28):
was the was not necessarily the presentation on TV, but
when people were, you know, seeing pictures of them in
the stadium. I think I think that had a bigger
effect on me versus just uh, this day itself. I
don't want to take it for granted because everybody does
a phenomenal job as far as making the show and
the stay and looked very pretty, but it wasn't anything special, though,
(32:52):
I will say, nothing that blew me away, and what
about you.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
Kind of the same. I really missed the old school
like entrance entrance setups like summer Slam and stuff like that.
I really wish they would go back to that. Instead,
it would go.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Back to like like how I don't know.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Just bring back those like entrance or entrance looks or
like a like a something similar to it. Like I
I really don't like these HD setups. They just look
very basic and they just look like really large HD screens.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
It's the sign of the times. We you know, you
can't always go back to something that was twenty twenty
five years ago. I get what you're saying. I agree,
but that's not what this time frame is. In a
year of twenty twenty five, even Adewaw could make like
badass stages and things that nature, but they choose not
(33:46):
to because that's not you know, it's not what it
is in twenty twenty five. So, you know, everything's more
minimalistic now in modern versus how back then it was
a little bit more I won't say more crazy, but
like I think it was a little bit more artistic.
I guess you can sing.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
I just I just missed the little things. That's just me.
But another good thing this is just me is uh.
Cardi B only came out for five minutes and we
didn't see her after that. She only came out to
greet the crowd, and that's it, which was good for me.
I don't like Cardi B. Huh No, I can't stand her.
(34:30):
I just I don't. I don't get what everyone's fascination
is with her. It's just and I can I can
go on about this all night, but I'm I'm just
gonna choose what.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
What's the antiticis of why you don't like her?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
I just think she's a very trashy person. Wow, Okay,
I mean she's she She openly admitted to drugging men
and stealing from them, and you you hear nothing but
bad things about people been around her. I just I don't.
I don't care for her personally. So when I saw
(35:05):
her come out, I had to mute. I had to
mute the show, and then as soon as it went
to the first match, I was like, okay, And then
afterwards we got no more Cardi B, which thank fucking Jesus. Anyways,
so let's begin the show. The first match of Night
one was a tag team match Roman Reigns and Jay
Uso versus the Bronze bron Breaker and Bronson Reid with
(35:28):
Paul Hayman. Bronson Reid came out wearing Roman's shoes around
his neck and then put him around Paul like the Yulafala.
So I thought that was kind of funny. I thought
this was a nice opener to the show. I didn't
expect it to be the opener, but I guess because Roman,
maybe Roman requested to open the show instead of be
(35:52):
like the middle or whatever. But I thought this is
an exceptional tag team match kind of went the way
you thought it would. I bron to me, you know, Breaker,
he was just cracking me out, like he's really being
more and more like his dad, or not even his dad,
his uncle every day. Like the part where he has
(36:13):
like Jay in a in a headlock and he's singing
a Romans like Roman, you suck. He's doing all that shit.
So I thought that was funny as shit. Roman going
back into his bag. You know, from like ten twelve
years ago now, we haven't seen Roman move around like that.
In a while. He had that really crazy I guess
(36:37):
dive outside of the ring where he almost laying on
his neck.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
Yeah, yeah, that was that. Like that was a great spot.
But the Brons were a little bit too far up
for Roman, but sure.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Yeah. If I'm a movie studio and I see that,
I'm like, oh, and uh Jay, Jay was eating. That's
the best way I can describe Jay.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
He was like.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
He was yeating. Oh, okay, best way I can describe j.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
H.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Braun got hurt. I believe he got like an was
it like an ankle injury or a calf injury?
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Knee?
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Knee? Okay, which sucks because I don't want to see
Broun get hurt. And my body looked fine on on Monday,
so I guess it was you.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
Know, I mean, yeah, he was doing a spear, so
I think it was more than fine.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
So right, and at the end of the match, Roman
let Jay take over the match and get the win,
because you know, Jay is Jay is j still popular
right now and Roman is Roman is still Roman, but
he's also kind of on his way out. He's going
to be filming the Street Fighter movie beginning uh September. Yeah,
(37:47):
so be gone for I think like three three weeks,
two or three weeks. Yeah, the match kind of went
the way you thought it would with the baby Faces
getting the wind. I would have liked it if the
Heels got the win, just to established them more. But
you know, it is what it is. But what'd you
think about the match?
Speaker 1 (38:05):
I thought it was a very good opener. I thought
all four men looked good at hearing this match. Bron
Breaker is fantastic, right. What there what bron Breaker is
doing right now in WW, we do not touch him,
Let him be the ship, talking the everything that he's
doing in the ring, do not change them whatsoever. Eventually
(38:29):
it's gonna get him, is gonna get him very very
very very over, and they're gonna change it because that's
that's what WW does. You know, Bronson Rita, I think
he's uh super underrated for what he does in ring
as well Roman despite him rustling, you know, just like
his star match this year, right, Royal Rumble Wrestling and
(38:51):
now SummerSlam.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Here.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
You can't tell me that roy Rings ever phones it in,
you know what I mean, he always goes out there,
he always gets it was a you know, one hundred
and hundred and for what he does in a ring.
So you know, so at least roaming, he puts on
his wrestling booth every time when he goes out there.
You know, so he's definitely worth worth the money that
(39:15):
he is for sure. And uh jays, you know he
looked good too as well. Uh, very charismatic in the
ring as well. And you know, he was a he
was a nice he was a nice soft not soft,
but he was a kind of uh somewhat the glue
uh to this match as well. So but yeah, I
(39:35):
thought all four men worked very well. I would have
had I would have had the heels won, right, But
you know, I mean what happened the night uh here
at night one. I mean you know, the group is
still strong, stronger than ever, I will say. So, yeah,
I thought it was a good opener.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
And then there was a uh, I guess, a quick
ad for Papa John's where Nicky Bella came out delivering
Papa John's to the locker room Exavier Woods. I just
I think I'm interested. I'm interested to see what he
can do, as you know, obviously as a heel, but
as a solo act because I think he has more charisma.
(40:20):
I just think he's funny with it doing this bit
where he's they're still in mourning after losing the tag titles.
Like they even said, like we get the last slice
because we're in mourning. So that was kind of funny
and just nick nicky Bella being the pizza delivery girls, Like,
I don't know, something about that is funny, but for
the wrong reasons, I guess, but so I don't know.
(40:41):
And I also I also thought it was kind of
funny how everybody was just holding up a slice of
pizza but didn't actually eat it. But they gotta they
gotta keep their body nice and nice and tight. I
guess next you got.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Attack Carbs, the fucking Carbs.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
I'm telling you, Yeah, pizza, you can never go wrong
with pizza.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Then Carbs kill you.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Don't know, we'll see tag match for the WWE Women's
Stag Team Championship. You had Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
versus the Judgment Day, Rock Hill Rodriguez and Rock San Petes.
I thought it was a it was a match like
it was. It wasn't necessarily a bad match. It wasn't
(41:26):
a great match. It's not something I'm probably gonna remember
and you know next month. I think with all these
with all these pay per view matches, I kind of
judge them on a curve or great amount a curve
or I'm like, okay, is this a match that should
be on pay per views? Is a match that should
be on television? This seems like a raw match, Like
(41:49):
this is a match you could have easily plugged and
played on raw or smacked down. Yeah, again, it wasn't
wasn't bad or terrible. I think you and me both
picked Charlotte and Alexa to win. Yeah, I mean I
think they make sense together. And it also gives Charlotte.
You know, it doesn't make Charlotte more over than she
already is. I think it just gives her more personality.
(42:13):
You get to see something interesting out of her, and eventually,
I mean eventually, Alex is probably going to turn heel
and you're going to see a different side of Charlotte
as a face. But or maybe Charlotte's going to be
the heel and Alex is gonna be the face because
Charlotte's much better as a heel. Yeah, the match kind
of went the way you thought it would and thought
(42:33):
I thought the ending sequence was pretty decent where you
saw that camera shot of Charlotte standing behind Alexa where
it looked like she was gonna go after Alexa, but
she ended up spearing Raquel. So I thought that was
a nice little way to end the match. But Charlotte
Alexa are not Tag team champions, Women's Tag team champions,
(42:53):
what'd you think?
Speaker 1 (42:56):
I did not really love this match. Was not a
bad match, but it wasn't anything special at all. I mean,
but you had to you had to get man, you
had to get you know, two big stars on the show,
and you know one you know, quote unquote prodigy up
and comer, and then you also have Raquel. I don't
(43:17):
want I don't want to say to Raquel's like she's
like she sucks or anything. But I can't really think
that really anything clever to say for Raquel here. But
you know, I mean, it wasn't anything great it was
it was It was a match. It was the match
I expect. I'll just say that, so but you know
what I mean. It wasn't like they phoned it in
or anything.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
So, yeah, it was a match. It was the nicest
wick and to scrab it, uh, you had Sammy Zane
versus carrying Cross. I hated this match. I did not
like this match at all. I figured Sammy would win,
even though what does it hurt for him to lose?
(43:58):
Because he's already gonna be and he's already guaranteed a
world title match at Mania. We kind of already see
the riding on the wall, what the two main events
are going to be. So it's like, if Sammy lost
this match, what's it going to do for him? Like,
how's it going to hurt him? I thought Cross should
have won this match because he needed he needed a
big win, and you know, let's just kind of jump
(44:22):
into it. We can already tell where the riding is
on the wall for Cross. I mean, I don't know
about you, but I think it.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
I mean, I mean I said it. I mean I
said last week, so I I think, you know, and
I agree. I thought Cross should have won. But you know,
and that was actually my prediction. I mean, like, you know,
of course, because that Cross will win this year, but
but I know that w W we didn't see him
as a world title, world champion caliber wrestler, right just
(44:53):
and then I told you last week, and I'm like,
you were like, oh, I think he's I'm like, like Drew,
I know you love him and I like Cross too,
But to me, the rain was on the wall, and
as soon as I came to groups with Dad this,
you know, the less hurt I will be from it.
So but in this particular but in this particular case,
don't like he just he just needs to get the
(45:13):
hell out of WW He needs to go somewhere else
and do something. Now. Maybe who knows, maybe they're working
the ship out of us and he's he's gonna be
signed to a new deal and they're gonna push them
to the moon. I hope that is the case. I
really hope that's the case. But as of right now, boy,
it looks like look Cross very charismatic. He can cut
(45:35):
a pool, he can entice you, like like when Adam
Cole said all those years ago, what makes him special
is that they ring the freaking bell when the bell rings. Unfortunately,
Cross does not deliver, not consistently, I will say not consistently.
He he he doesn't deliver as much as he should.
(45:59):
And and the fans they just don't get behind him
when it when the bell rings, and when it comes
in wrestling, the fans have to be behind not only
behind you know all TV and you know, for your
promos and stuff, but they got to be there to
support you during the match. I didn't hear a many
Let's go across. Let's go across like like rabbit Chance.
(46:22):
People love the entrance, they love the theme, they love scarlet,
they love the are of him. But actually when it
actually gets down to the wrestling, the most important part,
he just doesn't connect.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
And that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
And this match showed that if you can't have a
great match with Sammy Zain or at least a very
good match with Sammy saying there's that's an issue to me.
To me, So that's my thoughts about the match there.
And uh, you know, and I hope I'm wrong about Cross.
I hope he I hope they you know, servers all
(46:56):
they sign and whatever, But as of right now, it
just it's just doesn't look that way.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
And I don't want to see no fucking fake ass.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
Well. I mean they're doing previously so, but I don't
really like, oh man, w W really fumbled with Cross. Well,
if they really fumbled, you'll be showing more support other
than just you know, chewing during his entrance and minor
T shirt here and there, you will be invested in
the most important person, which is his matches. I don't
see people going online on on X or on anywhere
(47:24):
else saying that man, man, that was a really damn
good carrying across match. I don't see that.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
So, I mean he's had good matches. But yeah, I
mean you're you're right, you know, as far as like
what makes him him is his personality in his aura.
I think if you give him someone good, I mean
I mean no, no, no, no, no, no, hear me out, hear
me out. You can be a good wrestler, but you're
not always gonna have good chemistry with somebody, you know,
(47:52):
because he had good matches with Finn and NXT, he
had a good match with AJ. But yeah, I mean
you're right to an extent, like it's cross, you know,
blowing everybody away with his with his you know, in
ring talent.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
No do you mem do you see him carrying a
feud with somebody in a world title contention, not him carrying,
but being a part of it. I should say, uh
during uh, you know, having a few with somebody for
a world title with the type of matches that he
(48:23):
has do you see him being involved in something like that,
knowing the type of wrestler that he is.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
I mean I think it could work. I mean, the
promos could be good. He'll make it interesting. I'm not
talking about promo. I'm talking about just strictly in ring,
because we know he could do. You didn't know he
could do the promo side, like he's fantastic at that.
Hm hmm. I know again because he had he had
really good matches with Finn and NXC. Like, I just
I where is that cross?
Speaker 1 (48:53):
That's five years ago?
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Man, you're talking, Well that's what I'm no, No, no, no,
That's why I'm saying, where is that cross? Where is
that crossbin? You know, he came, you know, whenever he
was you know, bald, and he was like the mercenary
type of well not that mercenary, but like whenever he
was you know, the bald, you know, guy with the
fucking leather jacket, that was when he was the most interesting.
I mean, I have to say he's not interesting now,
(49:15):
but that was when he was the best in the ring.
But then he came back and it's like he got
interesting as a character. But all that entering talent just
went out the window.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
It's like, to be honest, I haven't really seen anything
really too different from carrying across from twenty twenty till now.
Maybe was his matches a little bit better than the
next t Yeah, but what I think it was, I
think it was just because of I think the crowd
really helped there, because the crowd ate up everything over
there as well, so I think that has something to
(49:48):
do with that too.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
But they were booing him too, Like there was a
point where they started where they started chanting boring during.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
His match, not necessarily booing him, but the crowd was
more invested in his matches because I'm sorry, because that
is the hardcore fan base of the WWE.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
There.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
If the fans are making noise where if they're booing you,
cheering you, whatsoever, that helps towards your wrestling match and
these cases here, like you know, he was in possibly
the I think the biggest crowd that he's ever wrestled
in front of, as far as in the one on
one match, and the crowd wasn't I won't say they
were dead quiet, but it was definitely not as loud
(50:33):
as you will hope hope for it to be. The
reaction was as big as you will hope for it
to be. And this was the match too as well.
You said, you know, the tag tea.
Speaker 3 (50:42):
Match should have been on you know raw smack.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Now, this match should have been on fucking raw. And
they could have pulled something else. They could have easily
put something else instead of this match. But I really
thought that this was a test for carrying cross that
are like, Okay.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
We're gonna you know, we're gonna We're gonna give you.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
A little push. I see what you can do. We're
gonna give you a Summer slim match, and we're gonna
see if you pass. And to me, according to WWE,
they don't think he passed.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
According to WWE, I mean he still gets reactions, but
for WWE, it's like it almost feels like it's not enough,
which I don't get sometimes because like you know, he
just know, well no, Sometimes it's I think sometimes it
doesn't always matter about going in the ring. I think
it just how much money.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
In the year twenty twenty five in WWE, you need
to wrestle good matches? What about John not not one
of the time, but I will have to like actually
be investing in what you do. If he's not getting
a reaction consistently in the ring, that's an issue.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Okay, what about Jayus?
Speaker 1 (51:53):
He gives me so you don't think so you Okay,
so you're you're talking about Jayus, So you don't think
you think gives less of reaction than Cross or or
the same reaction as Cross, n Ring jay Us.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
So at the end of the day, as long as
he sells those glasses and gets.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
I'm not asking about what they're selling. I'm not asking
about his problem. I'm talking about n Ring is the
reaction carrying Cross and jay Us? So do they get
the same level reaction when it comes to their matches?
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Not really? But Jesus is not that good of a
wrestler either.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
Dude, I'm not asking reaction. People react to yoursel.
Speaker 2 (52:40):
Yeah okay, well I'm.
Speaker 1 (52:43):
Just saying like people like so, so I get what
you're saying. N Ring. Yeah, Jenus was not great, But
people react to them because they're invested in them, like
really really invested in them.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
Like you know, not saying that no one is investing.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
In Carrying Across, but people are really really invested in
Jake and his whole story and the bloodline. And he's
been there, you know, over ten you know, going fifteen
or fifteen years now.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
So yeah, so he has a head start pretty much.
Speaker 1 (53:12):
I mean so okay, so in that particular case, there
is like all right, well, you know, people are not
really invested, you know in carrying cross. But it's just
to to me, to me, at the end of the day,
I think people they like carrying cross, or like the
idea of carrying cross bijens, don't think that when it
(53:34):
comes to the to everything else backing them up, you know,
I just don't really think that he delivers with that,
you know, And bringing up jay Uso is like, okay, well,
you know jay Usso, he obviously you know, forget the
cells for Galla, the teachers when it comes to a
jay Usso match. He went up against Gunther, We went
(53:57):
up against Guomther for the world title.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
That crowd irruptly when he won the world championship.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
All right, all right, so yeah we'll just move on
for this. But next as you had a Tiffany Stratton
versus Cargill for the WW Women's Championship. Speaking of somebody WW,
(54:24):
this match was fine, uh you know what, yeah, okay,
it wasn't terrible. I'm not trying to say it was
great or anything. I mean, we had a much romans
match the next night, but this match was fine for
what it was. I had my worries about it because
I'm like, Okay, Tiffany's good, but she's still green and
(54:44):
she needs to be led and Jade is Jade. But
this match wasn't that bad. It again, wasn't great or
anything you remember, but I was a little shocked, to
say the least, not like, you know, I fell out
of my chair shocked. That was more just like them
almost positive they're going to give it to Jade, but
they didn't, so they're keeping on Tiffany. There's apparently talk
(55:09):
within the company that they don't really see Jade as
someone that's on the level of a Rio or Bianca,
which makes sense. I mean, you said it perfectly that
the Jade we're going to get is what we've been
getting for a long time.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Yep, you know, just saying j Cargil probably a little
bit better, but the same. Jake Cargill and we just
talked about this with with carrying cross Jay, she's not
Grain in the ring and with her matches she does
get a little be a reaction, but not to that
level of Oh man, she should be world champion now
(55:49):
right now, at least it's not there yet.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
She definitely has a look, but that's about it. That's
literally about it. And I don't know how long she's
been doing this thing, Like she's been training for a
while and then now she's in w w E and
she's you know, training with a lot of good wrestlers
to help her look good. But I don't know, I
think I think at I think at this point the
(56:13):
jade that we see is the jade that we're just
gonna keep getting and should then then then and then
it's just gonna be a lot of fluff. You know,
they're gonna throw as many good wrestlers at her to
make her look good. But at the end of the day,
it's like, you know, she obviously has a good aura
about her, she has a good look. But that's literally it.
But tiffany one, and that's about it. Do you have
(56:40):
any other thoughts about the match?
Speaker 1 (56:43):
It was a match she uh she slanged her on
on uh x pre Badley from the match, mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
You know, if you want to go look at.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
The the threads you can, but I mean, it's man,
it's it's kind of it's kind of nasty, I will say,
like unnecessary, but yeah, I mean, but I mean she
just needs to like I mean, I don't think it's
warrant to to to say nasty things to Jade, you know,
(57:24):
because you don't like her in ring right balls. At
the same time, I see why they didn't put the
title on her immediately either, even though I predicted that
she was going to win. But you know, w W
E seems like they are they're not you know, they're
not giving Jay that that crown as viet.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
So right, eventually she'll get it.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Yeah, I just I just hope that she can. I
generally hope that she continues to improve because she has
a little bit a little bit by a little bit.
And and this match was was fine, I will say
it was fine, but nothing nothing special.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
Right next as you had a tag team match. He
had Drew Mcintyren Logan, Paul versus Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.
I thought jelly Roll looked good, you know, I think
that was that They said he lost a lot of
weight for the match, and I agree, he looked he looked,
you know, athletically, not athletically, but like he did lose
(58:21):
a lot of weight and he didn't look as bad
as I'm not saying hoped, but like you know, with celebrities,
you're you can always assume you know the worst, and
in this case, we got the best. I will say
I thought he got way too much offense and there
was a point where it was just Jelly Roll in
(58:41):
the match, you know, getting his ass kicked, and you know,
I'm like, give him a shot. You know, I can
do what I can do. Let let Jelly Roll prove himself.
And I've always been very complimentary towards Jelly Roll. Like
I again, his music isn't for me, but him as
a person, it seems like a good dude, and he
(59:02):
obviously loves wrestling. He's obviously a fan of it. So
and that's kind of WWSMO is that if celebrities are
going to be a part of the product, you got
to be a fan of it. You can't just say, hey,
I used to watch w W when I was a kid.
It's like, no, I watched the product like extensively. This
is kind of off topic, but Bad Bunny was in
(59:24):
the Happy Gilmour movie with that MJF, and m JF
was saying that Bad Bunny and him would just talk
about wrestling, and apparently Bad Bunny watches a w because
he was talking about mjf's matches. So yeah, but.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
And he's he's a wrestling fan, not just a WWE fan.
I'm pretty sure you've seen that that video before of
this guy. It was like it was like an old
hula commercial. He got a WW tattoo and he's like, Oh,
don't get twisted. I'm not a wrestling fan. I'm a
w W rean. God have you ever seen that before?
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
I don't think I have no.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Oh, well, I'll find the video and I'll put in
the chat here in a second. But but yeah, it's
it's it's this is the greatest is the greatest ww
glaze video that you'll ever see.
Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
So but uh yeah, uh jelly Roll took a lot
of offense. Uh and then he also had a frog
splash to the table by Logan Paul And yeah, like
I said, there was a point where Randy was just
out of the match and it was just Jelly Roll
throughout the whole match, and Jelly Roll did the classic
you know I'm hurt. I can't go on Randy, but
(01:00:39):
I need to help my friend because Logan Paul Is
is a jerk and I can't stand for for this.
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
I will say this like that Frog's Lodge was fucking insane.
Man insane Logan Look, Logan Paul Man, he's desmind when
you think of him as a person or wherever they
get to be, he is fucking fantastic n ring. He
(01:01:05):
is fan fucking tastic, Like talking about a celebrity who
you know who really you know put it. He's putting
his effort into the ring. Like I can never say
that Lodi and Paul has ever phone, phone anything in
in the ring. He's like, he's, you know, doing what
he can in the ring every single time. So he
(01:01:26):
was the MVP of that match for being Logan Paul.
Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Yeah, oh yeah, like Logan. I mean Logan I've always
said about I'm like, it's almost like there's a part
of me that's mad that he's so good at wrestling
because I just wanted to shoot on him because you know,
this guy's this guy's a douchebag. But I'm like, but
that douchebag is really good. He's like I'm sorry, I
got I gotta give him credit. The guy's really fucking good.
(01:01:50):
The fact that he was able to learn the business
that quick and that well, it's like, you know, I
would love if you know, I love the fact that
these celebrities are coming in and they're taking it seriously
and they're looking and they're good. You know, granted, they
have good opponents to work with, but you know, Bad
(01:02:12):
Bunny he was, you know, one of the biggest stars
in the world. He was able to get wrestling, you know,
and he also, you know, he that fucking god level
reaction that he got at Backlash in Puerto Rico against Damien.
It's like, I still watch that and I get goosebumps,
and I'm not even I'm not even gonna say I'm
(01:02:32):
a Bad Bunny fan as a singer more more as
a wrestler. I also think he's a good dude for
it it's worth, but he's very charitable with his money.
But no, just something about that reaction, I'm like, this
guy literally has this has the country in the palm
of his hands. Like that was just amazing to watch,
and that should have been the main event. That really
(01:02:52):
should have been the main event of that show. But yeah,
you know, I don't. I don't know why it wasn't,
but whatever, But yeah, Jelly I thought I did good.
I got a little bit too much offense in, but
you know, just small little nitpicky things. And Logan Paul
was the MVP of the match. But what were your
thoughts on it?
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
It was, I mean, it was anything like fantastic, but
it was definitely a fun celebrity match. And you know,
I thought, I thought Jelly Roll, he looked, he looked
good for in here for his very first wrestling match.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
I disagree about the too much offense.
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
I mean, when you got a celebrity in there, you
want to get your money's worth it you you don't,
you don want to completely bury the fucking celebrity too.
At the same time, but you know, I mean, and
and you know, he got a lot of offense in,
but they ended up losing the match anyway, so it
wasn't like he got like a ton of offense then
won the match, right. And I don't know if you
(01:03:49):
heard this, but Jelly Roll suggested him to lose. He suggested, like,
I don't want to win this match. I want to lose,
So I don't know if it was like a respect
thing or something like that, but but yeah, yeah, he
suggested that he should not win this match, so and
I guess they they granted his wish because I certainly
thought that it was gonna be Randy and Jelly Road
that was gonna win.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
So yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
Do you think that, uh, this is the end for
Jelly Road? Do you think you'll have another match?
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
Oh, he'll be back. I mean, I think they already
talked about him coming back.
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Do you think they'll do a one one match of
Jelly Roll versus Logan Paul.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Yes, that'll be the first ever celebrity versus celebrity match.
Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
Well, I mean, at this point, I think Logan Paul
was already transcended that he's like official, No, he's a
ww wrestler.
Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
But he came in as a celebrity first, right, It
wasn't like it wasn't like he came in to wrestling
and then Logan Logan Paul became Logan Paul. No, he
Logan Paul first and came to wrestling.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
So, I mean, personally, I wouldn't mind saying Logan Paul
versus Bad Bunny like that could be a WrestleMania match. Yeah, sure,
that was fine, Or you canna are you gonna link
a bad Bunny up with Damian again? They can just
do a tag match with something, sure, I mean, you know,
wouldn't wouldn't mind it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
I mean, if he's available and if he wants to do.
Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
It, sure, good good on old Jelly. All right, so
we're gonna do the main event. The main event of
Night one was CM Punk versus Gunther for the World
Heavyweight Championship.
Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Cm Punk coming out with fantastic four colors. Someone pointed
out it was was it light blue and white? So
I thought, I thought that. I thought the get up
was pretty cool and if anyone's currently watching on YouTube,
the thumbnail is Cmpunk's attire. So and then Gunther came out,
(01:05:46):
of course, and I thought this match was kind of
interesting in a sense where like the first half, the
crowd didn't seem like they're into it, not because it
was bad, but more so because this was the most aren't.
Yeah it was. They were working a more methodical wrestling
style and.
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
The match starts off slow like that with headlocks and
chain wrestling, and it's like and it's been like five minutes,
prepare for it to be a long match. Just be like, Okay,
this is gonna be a long match. They're gonna make
it epic, Like you gotta be, you know, ready for
that type of shit. I don't like. I don't think
people were really expecting like that match to be that
way the entire time. And and if you weren't expecting
(01:06:29):
that match to be like that within the first five
mins the entire time, you don't watch enough wrestling or
you're just not paying attention.
Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
So no, I expected it, you know, because that's seem
punk style, and that's going through.
Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
Stuffy absolutely for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
Yeah, which I which I was fine with because I
like methodical I like methodical matches every now and then.
But uh yeah, the crowd, it seemed like they were
kind of giving it some time to get into and
as all as like kind of basic wrestling one oh
one of you know, the crowds already hyped up for
the rest of the show. What else are you going
to do to get them back in? So instead of
(01:07:05):
giving them, you know, one hundred percent, you know, right
off the bat, you want to kind of lure them in.
It's almost like a movie where you know, it's it's
a slow burn, but you're keeping their interest and then boom,
here comes the action and that's how the match went.
And it it was a great match. You know, it's
definitely a Match of the Year candidate. It's one of
(01:07:26):
their better matches in the past, you know, ten years
really delivered. It's Goonther, what do you what do you expect?
You know? And it's also see them Punk, who somehow
just at this stage in his life has great matches
at what forty seven years old, forty six, forty seven
(01:07:48):
years old, he's still able to hang with someone like
Goonther who just chopped the shit out of him, right,
And also just know how much you like hearing this.
We got blood goo the bled, which there are reports
coming out before the match that Gunther was gonna take
time off because of a nose injury or something like that.
(01:08:10):
So I noticed when Gunther went over the announcer's table,
he kind of went under and then when he came
back up, he was bleeding, and that definitely that really
did add to the I wanst say brutality, But like
I guess, the story of the match, Yeah, the story
of the match was.
Speaker 1 (01:08:30):
Goomter has to have. So when Goomter loses, I don't
know if anyone knows this. So he lost against Ilia
because he got choked out right, he lost. He lost
to Sammy because he got to cocky. He lost to
to jay Usso due to unexpected you know chulk he
(01:08:51):
you know goo through submissions doesn't work, right when Gunda
gets quite a submission landing the matches, he's warn world
tap out and in this was the match.
Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
He lost because of you know, he started bleeding.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Yeah, we never saw Guther bleed before, so it's out
of is out of his element. So when Guther is
being tested in a wait days, never been tested before,
he tends to lose. And I think that's a great,
great story element for Guther matches in a way, it
still protects him too at the same time.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Right, and it's it's believable for the guy, believable for
someone like him. But two Gts's took out Gunther and
see him Punk won the World heavyweight title, very emotional, crying,
you know, getting on his knees holding that title. Hasn't
(01:09:46):
been a world champion, well, I guess in WWE. Last
time he was a ww world champion was twenty thirteen
when we lost Elimination Chambers.
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
So also as well, it's very funny that WWE they
don't count them. Punk's a W tyal rings as part
of it. Does it never happened? Oh well it doesn't
count whatever, Right, they don't count, like like people's like
(01:10:18):
but TNA rains and things that NATEL don't count that,
but they won't count the a W one, which I mean,
I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
But at the same time, it's like, you know, whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
Well, I like how Cody talks about aw but Punk
only talked about it once and he's like, I'm not
doing that shit anymore. But anyways, the scene was nice.
You know, Punk was emotional. Even Betty, Betty's not the
biggest CM Punk she even she was like, this is nice.
It's nice that he's emotional.
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
Look, look before you begin, before you begin.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Can I say something real quick and though and then
that's it? Can I say something real quick?
Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
So during the match, okay, the match was long, it
was thirty minutes and twenty seconds, and the way the
match was going, the way both men were tiring each
other out, I just went, oh no, and Betty looked
at me and went, you don't think what's going to
happen is going to happen, right, And yeah, anyways, continue.
Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
Look, I tried to prepare you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
I tried to prepare you.
Speaker 3 (01:11:33):
Look, I look, you brought this on yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:11:41):
If you were upset by what happened on Saturday, which
I mean you can be upset, right, but if you
were more upset than what you were supposed to be
saw you my friend, And I'm sorry, but I tried
to prepare you. I told you straight up. You asked
who was gonna win, like, oh, the predicted who's gonna win?
(01:12:03):
I said Seth Rawlins, and I was basically wrong and
right at the same time because seem punk one. Then
Seth Rollins cashed in. I tried to prepare you for it,
and I just hope that you didn't get super frustrated
over it, because it's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
So yeah, so Seth Rollins's music hits. You see Seth
come out and crutches, and you hear him say, you know,
hold on to that title. As he's walking away, I
hear Betty say, what if this is a ruse? And
as soon as she I'm not even kidding, that's her
literal words. As soon as she says that seth Rawlins
(01:12:48):
stops and I turn over or he heard her I
should say, I turn over, Betty. I'm like, why did
you that? And he stops and picks up his crutches
and drops him and then goes to the ring. Here's
a question. In that whole fucking time that Seth was
(01:13:09):
on the on the ramp, walking all the way down right,
why didn't Punk just leave the ring realistically?
Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Why can't build I I don't know. Maybe maybe he thought,
maybe thought he was really was hurt.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
I mean, he was walking to the fucking ring.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
Maybe maybe, But if you notice, Punk was looking behind
him as well, and like you know, seeing bron Breaker
and uh uh and Bronson Reed were coming too, so
he probably didn't want to try to leave the arena.
Maybe with a guy ambushed. Yeah, anyway, I look, look,
I don't know, but I'll say this, and you're I
(01:13:55):
I already know that you're probably gonna disagree with me,
But that's fine. It's my opinion. I think that this
was better than the wrestle Maia Cash. The wrestling cash
is iconic to me. It's one of the best things
ever in the history of WWE. But I think this
cash was better because of obviously, and I told you too,
(01:14:19):
I told you there's a couple of things I told you.
I said, Number one, they're they're doing unreal, right, do
you think they're gonna be doing this for unreal?
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
Yes, Number one, I think that you know, this is
gonna be done for unreal.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
And and I want to.
Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
See how they put this together. So that's number one.
Number two with Seth Rollins, when he start walking back
and he started walking straight and he goes like this
and he drops the crutches like he was fucking god.
Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
And starts slowly turning around.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
That's one of the best images that you'll see, uh,
at least all year in WW or anywhere in wrestling.
That was an awesome, awesome, awesome image him walking down
to the ring and him get ringing, you know, and actually,
you know, pinning h Saam Punk that was fantatastic, fantastic work,
(01:15:16):
you know. And if you say that, you know his
cash in and Russell mains. But I'm not gonna argue
with you over it, right, It is just my opinion.
I personally like this one better because to me, this
one means a little bit more to me, just because
of the links that they went to to tell the story,
and it was like you know, if well, you know,
(01:15:38):
will they or if they right? They've never done anything
like this before, right, and you know this has been
like kind of like my dream scenario as well for
the money bank, like someone gain injured.
Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
I wish now, I wish.
Speaker 1 (01:15:48):
It could have been a little bit longer, right, I
wish you could have done the cash in when say
he could have home off until Survivor series or something
like that. And you know, Punks is in the Survivor
series war Games match and you know, after after a
grueling war Games match, you know, you know, Rollins comes
back whatever, Right, I think that I think that would
have been pretty cool. But I just think that everything
(01:16:12):
that was done with this moment, I thought it was
spot on and I thought it was fantastic, and Rollin's
winning is great. What they do after this, I mean,
we saw what happened on raw, which I think is
which I think is a very very good start.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
The aftermath is going to be crucial with this, but
but so far, so good, and I'm glad that they
and the end of the night one like this. I
thought it was a tremendous, tremendous, tremendous ending.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
That was Night one.
Speaker 1 (01:16:43):
Well, I'm sorry I ran over you, But what were
your thoughts?
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Well, when it happened, When it happened, I'm literally hearing
your voice. I'm hearing your voice saying I warned you
you can't get mad. I can. I can already pick,
I can already imagine you with your hands up going.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
I think when I when I came out, I was like,
Drew is probably like either screaming right now or just
like put his head down and he's like, dah god,
damn it. Justin told me he prepared me for this.
Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
As soon as his music hid just yet, as soon
as punk is like posing with the title and those
cameras zooming in on him, I'm like, he's coming, he's
coming out. And as soon as I heard burn it Down,
like I just healed fuck. And even after it happened, Betty, again,
who I've said is not a punk fan, she looks
(01:17:37):
and goes, you know what, actually feel sorry for Punk
right because it was such an emotional moment and it's
like just just I'd like to imagine that match happened right,
and it just happened right and then yeah, but again
I can't be surprised because they From a storyline perspective,
(01:18:01):
for Punk, it makes sense that he got his just
desserts because you know, he screwed over Drew, you know,
because Drew won the world title at Mania last year
and Punk screwed him over and then Damien cashed in.
And for this storyline, you know, with Punk and Seth,
you know, they've been screwing each other each other over,
(01:18:24):
you know, for the past, you know, two years. So
what's what's the one thing Seth can do to really
fuck with Punk? And that's takeaway his moment, that's takeaway
his title.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
And he does say that as long as he lives
that he will never find success. And you know, he's
got to make his life a living hell, so which
he is living up to the world right now.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
So as long as they're still breath in my lungs,
he'll never be world champions.
Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
Why he's not like John Moxley, I don't know, because
I'm both John Moxley had Seth Allins.
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
You know, like you don't like show members from what
I'm getting, except Roman.
Speaker 2 (01:19:08):
I mean, I'm not a Roman fan. Buts just we
can be here Paul Night talking about that. But but
that was Night one. That was Night one. So let's
go to night two.
Speaker 1 (01:19:21):
What would you give them Night one? Out of ten?
Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
Night one was not good other than the main event.
I would say, I like the opener. I like the
opener too, you know six, I like the jelly Roll
match too, you know, six and a half out of ten.
Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
Wow, that's a high score for not likeing Night one.
Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
Well, I'll give it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
It's like, go ahead, I'm sorry. Yeah, the main event
was great, the jelly Roll match was fine. I mean
it was good. The opener was good, but the rest
of the night was nah.
Speaker 1 (01:20:02):
So so for me, three out of the three out
of the six matches, right, we're good. One was excellent,
you know, possibly matching your contender. There was three matches
your contenders up through both nights.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
I'm giving I'm giving Night one of five and a
half at ten.
Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Wow, you liked a lot less than me.
Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
Yeah, because if three of the matches, so if you
get six matches, three of them were good and one
of them, well, two of them were are good. One's
great to excellent. There's there's no way I could give
it higher than a five and a half. Half half
the show, half the show is good, half half of
(01:20:47):
half of ten is five. I'm giving extra half percentage
because it was a fucking great main event in a
great moment.
Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
So all right. So Night two the op is a
triple threat match for the Women's World Championship, kind of
like Night two of Mania Naomi, Rhea Ripley, and Eosky.
Naomi coming out to her dad, her dad playing guitar
for her theme. Probably they said he used to play
(01:21:17):
like guitar for Jimmy Hendricks. If I'm not mistaken, I
heard Jimmy Hendricks. So I thought that was a pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:21:23):
I think of her like the Gap Band two as well.
Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
But I thought that was a pretty cool moment. And
the match was good. The match was really really good.
Not as good as the Mania one, but I thought
I still thought this match was really really good. There
was no way that that Naomi was going to lose.
There was absolutely no way Naomi was gonna lose. You
just had her come out with her dad. She's really
not losing, and Naomi is just doing great work. She
(01:21:50):
is doing She's doing the best work of her career.
That It almost makes me mad because I'm like, where
has this Naomi been for the past like fifteen years.
Where is this Nao? Me Ben, we have not seen
this Naomi. Like she's funny. She has good comedic timing.
You know, she doesn't try to be I mean, she's
over the top, but not over the top to Ward's
(01:22:10):
distracting to where it seems like she's going in a
business for herself, Like she definitely knows how to be funny.
Like I'm like, you know, not to skip ahead. But
on Monday, you know, when she's talking to Stephanie Vicor
and she says, you know, I'm gonna take those horns
and shove it right up, shove it where the sun
don't shine. And then she turns around and starts walking
like she like she is horns up her ass. I'm like,
(01:22:34):
just little things like that, it's funny, Like it works right.
But I really did like this match. It really you know,
did live up to expectations. You know, Rhea taking the
pin this time, you know, because when Naomi cashed in,
she cashed in on Eo. This time she pinned Rheo.
So Riha took the pin, which was a little which was,
(01:22:55):
which was surprising, but I guess for storyline continuity reasons
it makes sense. But Naomi got the win. She's still
the champion, which could But what do you think about
the match?
Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
Very good match, not bad match, Definitely not as good
as the Minia match. Definitely not as good as the
Evolution rear Ripley and EO match. They tried to have
lightning in the bottle again, it just didn't happen. Very
good match, But in comparison to the matches that we
got in this year, it's it's it's it's it didn't
(01:23:31):
meet those expectations. To me, it's not even a top
ten women's match of the year, which is not bad thing,
you know what I mean. But to me, I don't,
you know, I think I think when it's all said,
I don't, I don't think it will be a top
ten women's match. So, you know, all right, very good though.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Next as you had a TLC match for the WWE
Tag Team Championships the White Six andre Da and d
I Y Andreida and refeat x Y Axiom. She just
christ Praxium, I'm sorry, MotorCity machine Guns and the Street Profits.
This was fun. This was fun as fuck. This was
(01:24:13):
a car crash match and I loved it. I can't
told my very very spotty for sure. Oh yeah, this
was the definition of spots like spots, spots, spots. I
can't tell if I like this match more than the
than the TLC match after Mania, or if I just
liked them equally. But this was really fucking fun. I had.
(01:24:35):
We had so much fun watching this match. There was
a point where like we just they like, I mean
they even said it on a commentary. Everybody died because
everybody went through a table. Everybody went through a ladder.
Fucking can Cannice Theray like Jesus Christ busts her heart?
She went through a fucking ladder and that alas a
(01:24:56):
nasty spot. Yeah, that was gnarly as fuck. And I mean,
I'm glad she's okay from when I heard she's okay,
But I thought everybody looked great. I like, I like
the spot with with the champa where he's doing like
the uh circus sole thing at the top of where
the where the championships are at right. I thought that
(01:25:17):
was a pretty cool spot because because like Nathan Frasier
made it look like he was gonna do the Edge
and Jeff Hardy spot, but you know, Champa ended up
countering it and just like was hanging all the way
up in the air. So I'm like that, like Jesus Christ,
I never never seen Champa do that before. This is
(01:25:37):
also the twenty five year anniversary of the TC match
from SummerSlam. You had, uh yeah, the Dudley's and you
also the Hardy's and in attendance, E and C were
not available there somewhere else. But yeah, this match is
fun as fuck. Why six retaining makes sense, you know,
(01:26:01):
because they just want it. But uh yeah, I can't
really add too much to it. I mean, there's just
a lot of a lot of carnage as uh, Cory,
what was.
Speaker 1 (01:26:09):
Your favorite spot of the match?
Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
The Cannistory spot was fucking was gnarly, Like I I
hate to say that's my favorite because she got hurt,
but that that that was the most memorable part of
the match to me.
Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
I'm gonna have to go with the accent spash flying
mmmm through to the tables on the outside. That's like,
that is unreally insane.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
My least favorite part of the match are the fucking
entrance themes. Like Jesus Christ, fucking get rid of Deaferabel already.
They suck. They're terrible. I'm sorry, Like I those those
themes were bad. Those themes were not very good at all.
Speaker 1 (01:26:53):
Who had the best Who has the best team out
of all those teams? I think it's the fault.
Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
I mean, well, the Wyatts is a co is it
code orange? So they're not deaf from everybody else. I
mean I think Rafe Well Andrade has a pretty cool theme.
Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
It seems pretty still still very generic.
Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
It's okay. Ray Phoenix is a well, Ray Phoenix is pretty.
Speaker 1 (01:27:24):
Pretty, is pretty nice.
Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
I think, Yeah, you know, I'll go for the I'm
gonna go with Rae Phoenix. I think he has a
good theme. Street Profits theme sucks, like they have their chea.
Their theme is too chill, like it's not as boisterous
and as like entertaining as like their previous theme. Like
I just I personally don't like it. That's just me.
And then Phraxium's theme kind of sucks.
Speaker 1 (01:27:48):
Motor change their theme from what they had in n
X team.
Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Yeah, it was perfect the way it was just and
then Motor Staying machine Guns their theme is fucking awful. Yeah,
so you don't raise apparently, I'd rather raise my dick, okay,
Jesus like like like you're you're in bed with tn A,
just bringing their tn A theme, Like why the funk?
Speaker 1 (01:28:11):
Not my my my my niece is listening. My gosh,
don't say that loud. I'm skidding.
Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
Well, she was so learned. I'm playing, I'm playing, playing.
Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
I'm playing. Okay, and we're we're off the air.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
No, yeah, I'll try to keep I'll try to keep it.
P G. I'm sorry, wow, I apologize. No, this is awkward. No,
but the matches, the match was fun. What do you think?
Speaker 1 (01:28:40):
All right, I gotta focus again. Match of the Year contender.
I think it was a five star match. Everything that
you said was spot on. Yeah, I mean it was,
it was, it was. It was a car crash butt fest.
I love myself a good old spotts. So it's fantastic.
(01:29:05):
Love tag team wrestling and with the showcases, well, digit
shows that right now, SmackDown in the tag team division
is the best in wrestling.
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
Mm hmm, in wrestling, better than raw nxt A, w
you know, TEENA.
Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
It's just the best right now.
Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
No, agreed, very much agreed? All right, next as you
had a notice qualification. Don't count out last chance match
for the WWE Women's are kind no Championship with Becky
Lynch and Leona Vicaria. If Lynch won, Lyra can no
longer challenge for the title as long as him. Becky
(01:29:54):
came out to new theme music. It was a band
called the Wonder Years, not the TV show w.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
Well, if Becky Lynch came to you, would you turn
off this match because it was fucking boring?
Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
This match was not good. This was boring. I don't
know how you felt about it. I'm just gonna ran
about it. This is a boring match, and the fans
felt it. The fans are not reacting for anything like
this match. They really tried to get it over as
much as they can by being as gratuitous as they
(01:30:32):
possibly could. Like the spot where the spot where fucking
Lyra has the zip ties on, Yeah, and then she
and then she takes them off, and then she goes
under the ring to put him.
Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
Back on I think or something like that, I'm not sure, but.
Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
Right, and then Becky like puts her up against the
ring post and starts hitting her on the on the
tom tum with a Kendostick like Randy Orton did to
John Cena, and then the toolbox stuff and blah blah blah,
Like the fans are just not reacting to anything, and
it's just like you have these two girls, these two
(01:31:10):
Irish girls. I'm pretty sure. I don't know if this
is just their speed that they're working at, or if
this is what they were told to work like or both.
I don't know, but for two Irish girls, they don't
really know how to talk shit to each other and
they don't know how to beat the shit out of
each other. Like this is just not a good match.
(01:31:31):
It really wasn't good. It was taking too long to end.
And then the Bailey spot just was stupid. That didn't
make any sense where Becky's like, here, take a kindo
stick and hit her, you know you want to, you
know you want to Bailey hit her? And then she doesn't,
and then she throws the kindo stick down and then
Bailey gets thrown to a table and that's how the
(01:31:53):
fucking match ends. So and also just I don't know,
just another complaint with street fights. Street Why don't they
just come out in street clothes? Why is why is
Lyra still coming out with wings? Why why is Bailey
wearing was it? Was it a street fight? I don't
think it was branded as a street fight, notice qualification whatever,
(01:32:15):
same thing, but what.
Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
I mean, it's the same thing obviously, right, But but
it wasn't brand like like no this qualification, no countout,
street fight, no holds bart extreme rules match, They're all
the same thing. They're literally all the fucking same thing.
Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
So right, you're not, But I did. This match is
just not good. I didn't like it. But what'd you think?
Speaker 1 (01:32:46):
This is the worst match that they had. This is
one of the worst women's matches of the year. I've
been high on this feud, I mean, but also at
the same time as well, this match was not good.
It was terrible. I didn't think that this match needs
to have this particular The stipulation is fine, you know,
(01:33:08):
like you know, if you know Vaccaria loses and she
can no longer challenge for the you know from Winch's title,
that's totally fine. But they should just have them just
go out there and have another regular match. They work
better without the silly ass gimmicks the.
Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
Regular matches that they had. The triple threat matching.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
With Bailey as well. Those are all fine matches and
died me all this fucking bullshit in here. What killed
the match was the zip ties. I appreciate them trying
to do something different, but it just didn't work for
this particular match whatsoever. So one of the worst women's
matches of the year, one of the worst matches of
the year period. It's funny that they had one of
(01:33:51):
the best women's matches of the year and now one
of the worst women's matches of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
Yeah, that's worry. I don't how does that happen.
Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
It is because of it is because of this particular
stipulation that they did. And what really what killed the
match was the zip ties. That's what killed it. If
they didn't do the zip ties, and if they were
to start, you know, doing I think this match could
word better. But I was zipped them.
Speaker 3 (01:34:19):
She was zipped for like, well like seven eight minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:34:23):
That was a that's a long fucking time. A spot
like that should only be used for the end of
the match or for like how they did it in
the middle, but maybe for like only like two three
minutes and she gets out somehow, not like you know,
a focal point in the match, her her being like this, yeah,
you know, for for you know, over twenty five percent
(01:34:44):
of none of the match, three percent of the match.
That's not good.
Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
Match went on too long.
Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
You know, you know how I am about you know, matches,
You know, I know how you're about going on to
the matches is going to long? Usually have a little
bit more diplomatic, but no, this match went on way
too long. This match went on, you know, at least
five to seven minutes longer than Wayne need it too.
Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
It was twenty five minutes. In five seconds.
Speaker 1 (01:35:07):
Yeah, if it was an eighteen minute match, I think
it would have been a lot. I think it would
have been more digestible.
Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
Look for the For the record, I don't have a
problem with long matches, but as long as they keep
my interest, it's it's it's like movies, you know, I
don't I don't have a problem with long movies or
short movies. But you know, I'm big on pacing. Like,
if you have good pacing, then I'm not even gonna
notice how long the movie is. In this case, you know,
you know the Punk match, the Punk match was going
(01:35:33):
through that was thirty minutes, didn't feel like thirty minutes.
You know, because I was interested in I was engaged
in the match. This was the opposite. I was not
engaged in this match. I was like, this could have
ended five seven minutes ago, you know, five, even like
ten minutes ago. But yeah, next is you had Solo
(01:35:53):
Sokoa versus Chakot fat Tu in a steel cage match
for the United States Championship. I was led down by
this match. I was expecting more out of this match.
It felt very short. I don't know if maybe it
got cut for time. That's kind of my guess, I
I I get the impression this match was supposed to
(01:36:15):
be long, but I guess long, long story short, the
rest of the Bloodline came out and jay Uso, who
suddenly can superkick everybody, and he can super his superkicks
can somehow take out everybody, but it doesn't really matter.
They just get up anyone and then uh not Tom
(01:36:36):
and Tonga, the big dude Icole, you know, he he
just he just hits Jacob in the head with the
steel cage and somehow that knocks out Jacob for some reason,
and then Solo pins him. So I didn't like the match.
(01:36:58):
I didn't like the ending. I thought the match was.
I thought the majority of the match was rushed just
to get to the ending, because I'm assuming they were
cut for time. That's my biggest guess. I think if
you've given these guys enough time, they really could have
went out there and made some matches together. But I
just it felt very rushed, and at the end, Jacob
(01:37:18):
Fatu ends up doing his his moon salt off the
top of the cage. Onto both got Onto who was
a Jeff Cobb and the other Tonga, which you know,
they're reminded me of the remind me of that of
WrestleMania from twenty thirteen when it was ride Back and
Mark Henry and Mark Henry won, but rye Back still
(01:37:40):
did his move after the match where it's like, Okay,
that doesn't really mean anything because he lost. So that's
that's what they're reminded me of. But what'd you think.
Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
This was a still cage match? Right? Did they use
the cage at all?
Speaker 3 (01:38:00):
Yep?
Speaker 1 (01:38:02):
Why do you think they had this still cage match.
Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
For the sake of having a steel cage match.
Speaker 1 (01:38:09):
It was just for Jacoba Tu to do a moss
off the cage at the end. That's the reason why
they had. That's the reason why they did a still
cage match. You had two.
Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
Terrible matches back to back.
Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
Again, this to me is one of the worst matches
of the year too as well, back to back. I mean,
like paper you thought it was gonna be you thought,
and also as well like nine two was was mostly
it was basically extreme rules two point h. I know
I'm not the first person on the last person that's
gonna say that, so I know I'm not being very
(01:38:46):
clever with that, I know. But they could have taken
one of these matches and put them on Night one
and like they could have exchanged maybe you know, I
don't know, maybe the cage change carrying Cross and Samu's
name for this match and just swap them. I don't
(01:39:06):
think it really mattered because both matches sucked anyway. But still,
you know what I mean, I really, I really got
nothing to say. I don't when when you look back
at the SummerSlam card, you know, this Summer Slam car
ten years so I was like, forgot that match happened.
Holy ship, That's the way it was.
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
It was a waste of Jacob Fatu and it was
a waste of a steel cage match that could have
been involved, right, but I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
Thinking too, but you know, it's waste, waste of everybody involved.
Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
But I'm looking at Jacob Fatu is like he's one
of the stars, Like he's one of the stars of
the company, and it's like, this is what you have
for him his first hit. No, oh wow, Okay, So Solo,
I'll say, character wise, he's much better like he's he's
funnier and he has more personality. But him in the
(01:40:00):
ring is just like what you said about Cross, what
you said about uh Jade. He's very basic. He doesn't
really do anything that's that interesting. No, I agree, I agree,
But character wise I like him a lot more.
Speaker 3 (01:40:13):
But so he's he's to he used to blame for
for this match.
Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
Then you're saying, I'm not blaming No, I'm not blaming him,
I'm blaming I hate solo. No, I'm blaming booking because again,
you have Jacob Fatts, one of your biggest stars, one
of the most over guys on the show, and the
this is what you give him, Like, I don't know
it was it was it was. It was whack whack
(01:40:39):
as fuck.
Speaker 1 (01:40:40):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:40:41):
Next as you had a singles match for the w
W Intercontinent Championship, Dominic Mysterio versus Aj Styles. Dom coming
out wearing a mask to pay homage to Ray Mysterio
Senior h not his deadbeat dad. Ray Mysterio Junior, and
uh Aj Styles came out a low right ill Eddie
(01:41:01):
guerrero and actually wore the same tights as Eddie with
some fixes. Of course, he had aj on or was
it Styles on the back, and he was also wearing
like Eddie's wristband and his elbow pad and also a
shirt which I thought was pretty fucking cool. And and
I even gonna lie those tights were. I'm kind of
(01:41:22):
hoping he isn't just like put those tights away. I
kind of want to see those tights again. Look, those
are pretty those are pretty fucking sharp. Also, it was
the twenty year anniversary of that match, of the Eddie
and Ray match with the custody of Dominic, and you know,
Dom has been celebrating his twenty years as being a
(01:41:43):
WWE superstar, which technically I guess, I guess you can
be technical and say twenty two because the first time
he appeared on ww programming was when Ray beat Matt
Hardy for the cruiseweight title at the end of SmackDown.
But I guess this is a bigger moment because you
I note that Eddie was really Ray's father, wink wink.
(01:42:04):
But I really love this match. I thought this was
my favorite match. This is my match of the night
of Night two. I these two really went out there
and just worked. And I said it about Dom on
Twitter where it's like, when Dom came in, he was
(01:42:25):
the drizzling shits and then you know, he ends up
leaving Ray, goes to the Judgment Day and becomes a
better character, and now he's one of the best wrestlers
on the show. He's one of the most over guys
on the show, and pretty soon he's probably gonna have
more gold on him. And in a span of six years,
(01:42:47):
like this is what Dom is, you know, his transformation,
you know as a wrestler in the WWE, and you know,
leaving Ray was the best thing for him because he
had to get out of his comfort zone and being
around other guys and not just his dad, and that
was the best thing that ever happened to him. And
it's weird because Dom's still a heel. He's still scumbag Dom,
(01:43:09):
but he gets he gets cheers, right, It's where Dom
Tom goes through these periods of he gets cheers and
then he gets booze. He gets cheers, he gets booze.
So and AJ's Aj. You know what else can we
say about Aj? Thats alright, He's been said. But I
really thought this match was great. I was smiling throughout
most parts of the match because there are a lot
of eddiets in this match. Where Dom does the chair
(01:43:32):
spot where the referee was taking forever to put the
turnbuckle pad on, and then Dom gets the chair and
then slams on the ground, throwes it to Aj and
falls on the ground, and then Aj wraps the chair
around his neck. And there was like, wait, what the
fuck's going on? And I didn't even notice this, but Dom,
you know, he unzipped one of the He unzipped one
(01:43:55):
of his boots. So when Aj was doing the calf cry,
sure was it the calf crusher?
Speaker 1 (01:44:02):
Yeah, crab calp crush, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:44:04):
Okay, calf crusher. He ended up taking one of Don's
boots off, and then Dom you know, grabs the boot
and hits Aj with it and then goes for the
frog splash and that again that made me smile because
it again I think of Eddie and it worked because
it was the twenty year aniversary of Dom being in WWE,
(01:44:24):
and then twenty years ago was an Eddie match, So
I was going for AJ. I mean, I think they're
still going to continue the feud.
Speaker 3 (01:44:31):
Yeah, from what what happened on Monday, for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Yo. Even AJ was like I got a hand at
some that was clever. But I really love this match.
This is my match in the night, and uh it
it lived up to expectations. I think it lived up
to more expectations because I was expecting it to be
a very good match, but I wasn't. I was kind
of blown away about how good it was. But I
(01:44:56):
which think about the match.
Speaker 1 (01:45:02):
Not my match of the night. I think I think
that's a little strong for me personally. I think that's
a little strong because you had, you know, to match
of the year contenders on this show, and uh this
was not one of them.
Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
For me.
Speaker 1 (01:45:19):
Good match, I like, this is basically an Eddie tribute match.
This is basically what it was to me. The match
was short. I wish it was longer. I just thought
it was a solid match. I mean, I can't really
say much more than that, Dom winning fine, right, can't
continue with the title, but I mean, I can't sit
(01:45:42):
here and say anything more than that.
Speaker 3 (01:45:44):
I think it was like.
Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
A stellar match by any means, But it's a good
three and a half star match written, and a good
three and a half star matches is a pre damn
good match to me at least.
Speaker 2 (01:45:55):
So all right, now we're gonna move on to the
main event, and we're about we're an hour forty five.
The main event, which was Cody Rhods versus John Cena
on Friday the SmackDown before Summer Slam. Cody told John Cena,
(01:46:18):
I want the old John Cena. I want the pop
pomping circumstance. I want the music. I want you running
down on the ring. I want that, John Cena. And
then John Cena says, yeah, I'll come back. I'll be
a face again, which you and me have talked about this,
you know, the Scena heel turn. It's been not good
(01:46:40):
partially because Scena is not really on the show me.
He's filming movies. I mean, when he turned heel, the
first thing he did was go film them, and then
he came back like two three weeks later, you know,
when we're always overseas, so it's the moment was big,
but the execution and in the payoff just isn't all
(01:47:01):
that great. And then him turning back into a face,
which is very, very underwhelming. It's basically just Cody saying,
I want you to be a face again. Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:47:13):
Why do you think that they just flipped that script
so fast on turning seeing a face again?
Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
I mean, I don't think he I mean he has
like what I think he has, like less than ten
matches left or appearances. I'm sorry, right, so I think
they already know, okay, he's not going to retire a heel.
I think it would have made more sense if the
face turned organically happened on Sunday, because I was kind
(01:47:46):
of pitching that where it's like, you know, the fans
are still cheering him no matter what he does, and
he realized I mean, because they were already kind of
planning seeds of any time he left an arena, he
would have this look on his face like, you know,
did I do the right thing? I can't really tell
you why I think they did that. I think maybe
they just realize you know, you know, face Sina works,
(01:48:11):
you know, playing the oldies works, and obviously it did
on Sunday because they were cheering him. You know, they
were cheering him in Jersey. They're booing Cody, which I'm thinking, like, okay,
is tonight going to be the night and the whole match?
You know, Cody's working more aggressively. He looks he has
more of an angry look on his face. But I
(01:48:31):
mean they shifted towards you know, the obvious, which was,
you know, Cody's our guy and he makes money, so
we need like actual we need like an actual babyface
on the show. And Cody's the quintessential you know babyface,
like he's Captain America. So that's not the way they went.
But I thought the match was good. I thought their
match was better than their Maniam match.
Speaker 1 (01:48:54):
Thought this one blew the Maya match out of the water.
This is the best John Sanna match in almost ten years.
Speaker 3 (01:49:06):
Like it's promises what twenty seventeen?
Speaker 2 (01:49:12):
Like, right, it is not agree?
Speaker 1 (01:49:16):
This is one I'll pat to you this way. This
is one of the top to me as a top
five John Standa match of all time.
Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
Right and thirty seven minutes and forty five seconds, which
we all expected because it's it's a Scena match, and
all these Scena matches that have had like Gaga around him, Uh,
no interferences, no Travis Scott, no no rock. I was
expecting there to be a rock. There wasn't a rock.
(01:49:43):
It was just seen in Cody out there working and
just doing a lot of spots. I mean, I like
the spot where they're coming from under the stage and
you just see that, you know, that visual of Scena,
you know, with the lightness face, and then he ends
up giving another AA Cody, So I thought. I thought
the match was entertaining, I thought towards the end, which
(01:50:08):
again I was expecting. So I can't stick her and
complain that they were getting a little too what's the
word I'm looking for. I guess maybe a little bit
too a E w E or video game wrestling where
they do their finishers on each other three times and
they kick out three times. But it made sense. I
(01:50:29):
can't really bitch about it. It's not even something i'm
critic I'm critiquing. It's more just something I noticed.
Speaker 1 (01:50:34):
Did you so so when it happened, like, like, were
you thinking like, oh, this match is over. So when
he did the three AA, well you did the two
as on superin like, oh man, this this match is over.
Did you think that when that happened?
Speaker 2 (01:50:51):
No, because I'm thinking like, okay, they're going to give
it back to Cody, but just what's gonna happen when.
Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
The three Crossroads happened? Did you think like, oh man,
Sena's done for here.
Speaker 2 (01:51:03):
I well, because the way the match was going, because
I was saying like, okay, Cody's gonna turn heel and
then midway through the match, he has this very like
not confused, but almost like conflicted look on his face
of like, you know, you know, I don't want to
hurt him, but I have to because I let my
guard down at Mania, and I'm like, okay, this is
(01:51:24):
He's not turning Like there's no way he's turning heel
out during this match. And they did the I guess
the homage to Sean Michaels and Ric Flair where Sean
does the I'm sorry, I Love you and then Super
kicks them like they did that with Cody, where Cody,
you know, is crying but he's like I have to
do it, like I I gotta be I can't let
(01:51:47):
my guard down, you know, and then he ends up
hitting you know, Scena with the belt and then does
the Crossroads one two three, and then Sena you know,
hugs him and they have a nice moment where Sina
is pretty much passing the torch like officially, and also
Seena just doing other things in the match where he
was kind of working a heel style where he had
(01:52:08):
these very like kind of devilish you know, smirks on
his face where I forgot what the spot was, where
like he kind of does these shush you know motion
of like I got this. What was kind of funny
was like he's he's using all these weapons on Cody,
but then he grabs the belt and he's like, no,
I'm not doing that. So I thought that was kind
(01:52:32):
of funny. But overall, much much, much, much much better
than their match at Mania. I thought it was kind
of interesting how there weren't any interferences. I almost seemed
like there was gonna be an interference. I mean someone
showed up at the end, but we'll get to that.
But uh, like you said, the best Scena match in
(01:52:54):
a long time. I can't really recall a good Scena
match that I've seen in the past ten years.
Speaker 1 (01:52:59):
But it all matches are fantastic about say that, you.
Speaker 2 (01:53:05):
Know, right, I mean, granted it was a gimmick match,
but I think that's what it means. But overall, I
enjoyed the match, you know, the the nice moment at
the end with Sina and Cody before we get to
what happened after the match. What were your thoughts on
the match?
Speaker 1 (01:53:24):
Match of the Year contender five star, It's a classic match.
Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
This is.
Speaker 1 (01:53:30):
To me is this is this the best Summerset main
event of all time? I want to or or at
least up there.
Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
You think it's definitely up there.
Speaker 1 (01:53:41):
Definitely it's I mean, you got you got Bred and
Bulldog take her on a yeah, take her and Brett
for the moment, but not necessarily. The match was good.
But like I'm trying to think of other Summer Slam
(01:54:05):
like main events, and very few of them Edge, Edge
and Taker trying to sell Jeff and Punk TLC. But
there are very good matches. But I mean, I think
I think this is definitely up there as far as
the best Summer Slam main event of all time. This
is Johnson's best match in close to ten years since
(01:54:28):
STAYEJ Styles matches. This is the match of the year, contender.
This is If you say the TLC match is the
best match of the week, I'm not gonna argue with
you over that, but to me, this is the best
because what the moment meant, right, this is seen his
last Summer Slam, last major stam show match. I mean,
(01:54:49):
if you're on the Councilurvivor series coming up, sure, but
that's in a baseball seam. This is a football seam,
which is a bigger crowd. This is so this is
the this is the last big crowd as well. And
I'm gonna say this, this may be the last John
Cena Championship matchup we'll ever see. This may be the
(01:55:10):
final time that John Cena will compete for a world
title or in a world title match, right and and
if he if this is last world title match of
any kind, that's the best way to go out, right,
a thousand percent, that's the best way to go out.
So this match is fantastic, Definitely one of the matches
(01:55:34):
of the year. Definitely for me at least, this is
the match of the night. I won't say by far,
but you got, you got the TLC matches, you got
this match, you got everything else, Like, I don't think
anything else gets close to those two matches overall. But
(01:55:55):
my kind of wrestling, my kind of storytelling, you know,
you know the great finishes and you know the false finishes,
you know you need that in a match like this, right,
just just great ship, fantastic stuff. You know, I really
enjoyed it. Yeah, if you want, Yeah, if you want
(01:56:16):
to bring up the ending here, we can start with that.
Speaker 2 (01:56:18):
So was segueing into the ending. Uh So, after the match,
Sena has his moment and the ring by himself where
he is serenaded by the fans. His wife was in attendance,
As someone pointed out, as he's a. As he's walking
(01:56:38):
out of the ring, you hear music and it's brock
Lestener there, who's back. Who hasn't been seen on television,
wasn't seen on WW programming since well SummerSlam from two
years ago, after he put over codyre years ago. And
(01:56:59):
as we all, no, he's been out for you know,
legal reasons, you know, because of the Janelle Grant case,
and he was named in the court filings, which he
didn't actually do anything per se. He was just I mean,
this the stories I have been done to death. But oh,
in all, he didn't really do anything that was quote
unquote illegal. Maybe morally wrong, but not illegal.
Speaker 1 (01:57:22):
Yeah, that's that's a touchy subject, man. I know it's
a very touchy subject because I see it from both sides.
I see it from the size of like, oh, well,
you technically didn't do anything wrong. They also see it
from the side from the people where was like, well
he he was still involved part of the sex trafficking
in a way. But you know, it's do you see
(01:57:46):
did you see uh danel Grant's representation talk on brock
Lezer's return.
Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
You mean that chat GBT response?
Speaker 1 (01:57:55):
Well, okay, well was that chat GPT You think.
Speaker 2 (01:58:01):
That seemed like the most choreographed, rehearse fucking response.
Speaker 1 (01:58:05):
Do you do you think.
Speaker 3 (01:58:06):
Do you think it's morally correct that brock Leser's back.
Speaker 2 (01:58:12):
I mean, ww, legal cleared him.
Speaker 1 (01:58:15):
No, that's not what I asked. We know that.
Speaker 3 (01:58:18):
But do you think it's moraley correct to bring brock
Lezer back?
Speaker 2 (01:58:23):
I mean, I personally don't see the issue with it. Okay,
I mean, he got cleared. He didn't really do anything wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:58:34):
So again, do you believe everything?
Speaker 3 (01:58:36):
Do you believe everything that that's told to you that?
Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Like, no, yeah, clear, I'm just going by I'm just
going by facts out of here. It's like he was cleared.
It's like, again, it doesn't matter what I think because
at the end of the day, is there more to
the story? Yeah? Could it? Could something be brought up
that could maybe get them I guess re banned from
(01:59:00):
the company or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:59:01):
Yeah, But so so what if? So, so let me
ask this, what if, for one reason, because Vincent Man
was named right, he was named right, he hasn't been
the trial or anything like that yet. What if and
this is a big what if, right, Let's say Vince
Man goes to trial, he gets you know, he gets
tried in court.
Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
And he is innocent. He's innocent.
Speaker 1 (01:59:23):
Would would you think that? I don't think so. But
would you would you feel like, oh, Man, like, I
don't think he should be back?
Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
If if Vincent Man was invited back.
Speaker 1 (01:59:37):
To WWE in some fashion, how would you feel about that?
If that were the.
Speaker 3 (01:59:43):
Case and Vince was found and Vince was found not.
Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
Guilty, I don't want Vince anywhere near this company.
Speaker 1 (01:59:51):
As far as creative wise, right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:59:53):
As far as creative, as far as working in an
office capacity, I don't want him anywhere near this company,
Like I really don't at all. Even before the Janelle
Grint stuff, it was more just like, get Vince the
fuck out of this company.
Speaker 1 (02:00:06):
I guess that's different because of the whole Ventce thing
as well, but I think there, I think there's still
gonna be people complaining.
Speaker 3 (02:00:13):
My point is that.
Speaker 1 (02:00:14):
Like, oh he's well, he's a rapist and all day
you can still be found, you know, not guilty. But like,
to me, though, look, let me ask this. I'll flip
this question this way. Black Lenser's back and wwe cool whatever, Right,
(02:00:35):
I'm trying to I'm trying to phrase in a way
where it's not like an obvious answer, but like, what's
the benefit of black Lenzer being back?
Speaker 2 (02:00:50):
Good question? I mean, he's he's still box office. I mean,
he's pretty much back to have I guess more obviously
not great matches, but he's here to have matches that
bring in more people, that bring more eyes and ears
to the show, ratings, boost ticket sales.
Speaker 1 (02:01:09):
He's not gonna boost ratings because he's back. Him alone
is not gonna boost rains because he's back.
Speaker 2 (02:01:16):
Okay, He's just he's an attraction. He's an attraction.
Speaker 1 (02:01:20):
Yes, yeah, I agree. I definitely agree with that. He's
definitely attraction. Look is he needed in twenty twenty five?
Speaker 2 (02:01:29):
Not really?
Speaker 1 (02:01:32):
He looks for the record, he looked fantastic, looked great,
just him and the hat and the all black. He
looked like a fucking badass.
Speaker 3 (02:01:40):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:01:40):
I can I can say that you look like a
fucking badass. However, I don't think he's needed in twenty
twenty five. I know seeing him. You know, at least
the Corent trouble h said that John want and probably
John probably didn't want him, you know on this tour
back right, you know what I mean? As far as
his last a few matches, you know, he probably wants
(02:02:02):
Baroc Lays to be one of them, which I understand.
But to me, it's like it's kind of like to me,
it's like you do things in your private life, and
there are some things that you do and maybe Barclaters
didn't do anything right, but if he didn't do anything good.
Speaker 3 (02:02:27):
But what I don't feel comfortable with.
Speaker 1 (02:02:29):
Is that WWE that cancel the press conference obviously because
of the questions onenot right if if there was no
issues with brock Lessner, not brock Lesler, Let's say brock Lesser,
you know, he he didn't do anything, right, Why now?
(02:02:51):
Why do they bring them back now? Why did it
take two years to bring them back? Like he was
supposed to be back at not this past year's Ryter
robal Lasher's up a match for Gunter from the arcnle tit.
I don't know if you remember that story, right, Like it's
like it's like why now, I know why now? Because
of John Cena and stuff like that, right, But it's
(02:03:11):
like they didn't do any press conference or anything. They're
avoiding the questions. Triple Ah is avoiding the questions of this,
and the questions are gonna come down the line. He's
gonna have to answer to them as well. He can
at least answer like look or come out or they
can come out with a fish saying like, look, we
brought back brock Leser because because of X, Y and Z.
Speaker 3 (02:03:34):
You know, aren't our attorneys found nothing on this?
Speaker 1 (02:03:37):
He is innocent and as of right now, he is
good to be back on TV. If they were to
at least do that. I will not be asked complaining.
But the fact of the matter is that they did
not do that. They did not actually address this as
of yet at least. And the more the days go by,
the more that it's like, you know, you know, it's
(02:03:59):
not it's a bad look to me, it's a bad
look of just bringing them back in, like, oh, well,
you know we're bringing them back. But you know, we
don't have to, we don't have to tell you why.
Just believe us, right, you know, wink wing. Just believe
us that you know, everything's good, you know what I mean?
So I I just think I just think that the
fans are are some type of explanation for this. So
(02:04:23):
that's just me.
Speaker 2 (02:04:26):
That's usually Triple Ash's mo is to tap dancewer on everything.
But at the same time, it's like the press conference
is ending. I get because how many times can you
be asked about your father in law, you know, shitting
on some chick's head.
Speaker 1 (02:04:42):
Well, don't well, don't do the press conferences.
Speaker 3 (02:04:44):
Don't stop stop telling about oh, you know.
Speaker 1 (02:04:47):
We we have this, you know, we have the biggest
you know gate, we you know, we have the most
watch of viewers.
Speaker 3 (02:04:53):
And stop doing it, then stop doing it. Ye if
you don't answer, if you don't want answer the questions,
it has to go. Just stop doing like the whole
press conferences in general.
Speaker 1 (02:05:04):
So that's just.
Speaker 2 (02:05:05):
I'm fine with. I mean, I don't even like press
commentsons in wrestling, and be honest, I think they're kind
of you know, cringe, But that's just me. Yeah, brock
Lesner being back, he's back. He's going to wrestle Sena
more than likely at the France pay per view or
the Paris pay per view, doing Sena's greatest hits.
Speaker 1 (02:05:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:05:25):
I actually have a list of Sina's final appearances if
you're interested. So he had nine more appearances. August eighth,
which is going to be this Friday, It's gonna be
in Montreal, Quebec. August twenty second will be in Dublin, Ireland.
(02:05:46):
August twenty ninth will be in Leon, France. All three
of these are episodes of SmackDown and then of course
Clash at Paris Is August thirty first. September fifth, SmackDown
will be in Chicago, Illinois. September fifteenth will be in Springfield, Massachusetts.
October eleventh will be in Crown Jewel Perth Perth Australia
(02:06:10):
November twenty ninth Survivor Series in San Diego and December
hasn't been decided when, but December will be his retirement.
Speaker 3 (02:06:20):
Assuming it's a Saturday Nights Man event in Boston.
Speaker 2 (02:06:23):
Yep, so not. I'm assuming it's gonna be let more
appearances than matches, because yeah, for sure, because SmackDown he
definitely an't wrestling. He's just gonna show up. The pay
per views is where you're gonna see him wrestle, So
Clash in Paris is more than likely going to be Brock,
(02:06:45):
Crown Jewel Perth. I don't know who he wrestles, like
Crown Jewel Perth.
Speaker 1 (02:06:51):
Maybe, I don't know, but maybe who Wellsner probably a
second match.
Speaker 2 (02:06:56):
Maybe, And I'm good.
Speaker 1 (02:07:00):
I mean who, so so you got lesser?
Speaker 2 (02:07:03):
Who?
Speaker 1 (02:07:03):
Who else do you think he'll wrestle? He only got
tam parents left. Who you think he will wrestle within
those last ten appearances? So Brock is one.
Speaker 2 (02:07:15):
I mean, he's already done his greatest hits. I was saying,
like it sucks that Batista retired because it would have
been nice to see a Batista match as an attraction match.
I know we talked about Edge his contract coming up
in October, but I don't see that happening. Who's someone
(02:07:38):
that he hasn't really wrestled against yet. I'm trying to think,
so there's possibly a going thro I think Guther could
be the retirement match.
Speaker 3 (02:07:53):
He's gonna I think he's gonna have that second match
against Bronc.
Speaker 1 (02:07:59):
If we're flying so much of a hard time of
finding options for John Cena, I think he may wrestle
Brock twice. I think Brock wins the first one, in
Scena wins the last one, or maybe vice versa. I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:08:12):
Well, he's shown up in Raw. He's shown up on
Raw in September fifteenth, so maybe Seth he has a
match against Seth kind of makes more sense.
Speaker 1 (02:08:25):
Sure, I don't know if I will know.
Speaker 3 (02:08:29):
Was it gonna be for the world title and we
know that he's gonna lose.
Speaker 2 (02:08:32):
Like well, also because Survivors Series, I'm guessing he's gonna
be in the war Games match. You know, he's never
been in a war Games match before, so that can
be like a I don't.
Speaker 1 (02:08:46):
I can see that, but like the current landscape, I
don't really think so, because I think right now, what
they're probably gonna end up doing is you're gonna have
now it's called the Vision, the Vision and maybe one
new mimics of the Vision. So I'll be four versus
maybe l A. Knight, Roman, Jay Usso and Punk.
Speaker 3 (02:09:11):
Yeah I'm punk, Yeah, there you go, yeah punk m Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:09:15):
I guess that's a stone. I mean, did you a
fine man? Maybe they get Squeeze Is seen it in
there for five, but I don't see him being in
that match for four. I don't think the story supports it.
Speaker 2 (02:09:26):
And that's something that Okay, it makes sense. Yeah, all right,
but that was Summer Slam people. Overall, what'd you think
of Night two?
Speaker 3 (02:09:38):
I give Night to a six out of ten.
Speaker 2 (02:09:45):
I give it a seven, seven and a half out
of ten. I liked it. I'm liked I liked it
so much more. But all right, we're kind of running
a little bit over time, where at two hours, we've
been doing a lot of two hours it was lately.
That's fine, uh so we'll just kind of do a
(02:10:05):
very very brief run through raw the we're all after
SummerSlam was in Brooklyn. Seth of course came out and
it is hall hand. You know, thing where funny enough?
As soon as you started talking, Netflix went down for me,
so I had to restart my firestick and I missed
(02:10:26):
the whole promo, which I think was Netflix's way of
going you're you're probably better off. And then l A.
Knight came out and then wanted to match, and then
they main evented the show, and then the match wasn't
that bad, but then seam Punk came out and ended
the match, and then Roman Reigns came out and then
(02:10:46):
the rawled and blow So I'm guessing it's gonna be
a fetal four way at Clash in Paris, which makes sense.
I guess. I don't what happened with the rest of
the show. Oh yeah, Russeph and Seamus were brawling throughout
the whole arena and they got they got in everyone's way.
(02:11:09):
There was a point where Sammy's talking and then they
bump into Sammy and Sammy's trying to break up the fight.
He ends up getting punch in the face. So I
thought that was kind of funny. Oh what else happened?
What else happened? Oh and Charlotte doesn't swear, She says
f word or a word which was but yeah, that
(02:11:30):
was that was pretty much a big chan.
Speaker 3 (02:11:33):
Sorry, I'm gonna step out really quick. I'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (02:11:37):
Okay, all right, all right, well let me sit since
we got that going on, let me just pull up
the raw results s. Yeah, Seth coming out, just doing
his usual spill, which is just like, so Bron's not
(02:11:57):
gonna be interesting anymore. Uh, Bronson's gonna go back to
stealing shoes, which he stole Roman shoes, so that's his
new gimmick, is that he's stealing shoes. Seamus and Russeph
I I enjoy I enjoy their matches. I'm enjoying this
feud so far, and it's gonna culminate with them being
(02:12:19):
Attacked Team because that's how this ship always ends. Oh,
I forgot to bring this up. This is the best
part of the night. So you had Xavier Woods wearing
this giant fucking hat, which I adored. I thought that
was fucking genius. I thought that was I thought that
(02:12:40):
was hilarious as fuck. And you know, uh, Grayson Waller,
who's their new I guess their new guy who takes
all the pins you know, once Attack Team title match,
but then he ends up bread Penta, and the match
was fine. I like that there. I like the New
Day that they're on. And then after the match, Penta won,
(02:13:02):
and then New Day gets in his face and then
up beating them both down, and then he grabs Xavier's
hat and then puts it on and starts doing his
shrud and then throws it at him like he's in
fucking mortal con. I thought that was genius. I thought
that was so fucking genius. I love Penta, just Penta.
(02:13:23):
He's over, He's over as fuck. I think it's only
a matter of time before he gets the Inner continent
tidle my nose of stuffy. I apologize. Uh. Charlotte Flair
and Alexa Bliss cringey fucking dialogue where they're like, oh,
(02:13:46):
were you about to say the F word? It's like, well,
you're a pain in my A word. We're gonna kick
your A words wink win, and then they end up
getting a giving judgment day or they're rematch for the
tag team titles, which blissom Flare you ended up winning.
I did like I did, like Charlotte kind of you know,
(02:14:08):
pointing out that this might this might have been my first,
you deserve it, Chan, thank you, Brooklyn. I'm like, okay, well,
good on Charlotte. Good good for Charlotte because she feels
happy about it. Dragon le versus Dominic Mysterio for the oh.
I don't even think it was for the title. I
think it was just a random match. Domin ended up
(02:14:28):
getting the win because of course. But then you saw
the appearance of a multiple u El Grande Americanos. You
had Kaiser. I'm assuming the other guy's Pete Dunne, and
then the other one. I don't know who that is,
but I like the fact that there is now a
(02:14:50):
legion of a mari of all grinds, like keep the
ship going, it's working and it's getting over, and El
Grande is gonna fight for the Triple E title at
the Triple A pay per view next week. And I
did bring oh, oh, oh, oh, I gotta bring this
(02:15:10):
up justin are you back? Okay, he's not back. Hit.
So Becky Lynch comes out to celebrate her title win.
She's talking, she's talking, she does the whole spiel of
like you know and who else is gonna face me?
And then Nicky Bell's music hits and I just went oh,
(02:15:33):
this is gonna be deliciously bad, and it was. I
will give Nikki credit, she was saying all the right
things that a babyface should say to a heel. I
did like the fact that she called out Becky because
she's like, you're a liar, just like your husband, pretty
(02:15:53):
much like you, You and your husband suck. I hate
both of you. I shouldn't say I hate both of you.
And then Becky got Nicki with you know the line
of the night, which was, you know, me and my
husband were the best tag team in wrestling, kind of
like how you win? Uh oh, and she's like, you
can't see him anymore. So I thought that was a
(02:16:15):
great burn. Was that was pretty cool. And then they
talked more than Becky ends up punching Nicky in the face.
So I guess Nicki is the next challenger for Becky.
It makes sense. I mean, I don't know Nicky. I
don't hate Nicki Bella. I think I mean we talked
(02:16:38):
about this week's ago. I really don't hate Nicky Bella.
She she's really she's trying to get her life back together.
She just came out of a really bad relationship where
the guy hit her and as much as I'm not
the biggest fan of her as a wrestler, and she
has tend to have done and said some pretty dumb things.
(02:16:59):
I don't don't want anyone to get hurt over I don't.
I don't. I take no pleasure in hearing about her
being out, and she seems like she's trying to get
her life back together, and she seems like she genuinely
wants to help the show. And at the end of
the day, she gets a reaction like she has her
fan base and the people do love her, and she
gets a fucking massive reaction when she comes out. How
(02:17:22):
I don't know, but it's Nicki Bella and Becky Lynch
for the women's Gonna Contino title. Couldn't be worse than
her and Lyra. And then after that, you know, Becky
is walking to the back and Natalia gets in her
faces like, hey, Becky, I thought we were friends. You know,
(02:17:43):
I want to wrestle you next week, And then Becky goes, oh,
you got to me, but not to you. It's gonna
be Maxine. So it's gonna be Becky versus Maxine next week.
And I'm pretty sure we're gonna get Becky in Italia
pretty soon. If we can get Natalia how she was
working in fucking Blood and nw A, that'd be pretty
fucking rad. And we can get that in Italia, not
(02:18:07):
this Italian, not the Italian we've had for seventeen years. Yeah,
and it was justsing you back, God damn it us
for the rest of all. And I already talked about
the world title match in that blah all right, NXC.
(02:18:31):
I didn't really watch. I was sad to go to
the grocery store, so I missed all of NXT except
for the main event, which was Soul Ruka versus Tatum
Pasley for the Women's North American Championship. I was pretty
sure that Tatum was gonna win because it was just
a very It was the main event and it was
(02:18:53):
just made last week, so I'm thinking, like, are they
gonna give the title to to Tatum? Like that'd be nice.
I wouldn't mind that. I like Tatum. I'm a fan
of Tatum. But uh, that's not when I ended up happening.
Soul Ruka got the win, and the spot was kind
of whack like because before that there was a nice
spot with with Tatum and Soul where she gives like
(02:19:17):
this reverse neck breaker off the top rope that was
pretty dope. But then towards the end of the match,
like there's the there's like this fight happening with Lash
and Nya where they're kind of doing the same thing
that Russeth and Seamus are doing, and that just was
(02:19:38):
kind of dumb. It didn't really make any sense. And
then Sean Spears hands Tatum the her doll, which the
spot was taking too long, and then Soul goes for
her soul snatcher and then one two three, So she's
still the women's North American Champion, which I'm fine with. Again,
(02:19:58):
I like I like Soul. Soul's extremely fucking talented, like
crazy athletic, and obviously the fans of the Ship Over,
so which means she's more than lik you going to
drop that title to Zaria, which mm hmm, like I
(02:20:22):
I got no, I got no issue with. I mean,
I do have an issue with, sorry, but I don't
hate her. It's just I do think she's very one note,
she's not terrible. I mean it's weird because they're pushing
the ship over. When she came in, she was she
had all this like momentum going for her and then
(02:20:44):
I don't know where It's like, we're gonna put you
in this tag team with Soul, and I'm like, okay,
it's not really working that well because I don't know.
It's just that's something about those two just doesn't work.
Like Soul is obviously the star. Czaria is very won
(02:21:04):
like I. There's just nothing about her that screams like
I'm big, I'm a big scary monster woman. It's like, okay,
well why are you big scary monster women? Tell me?
Tell me why I should be afraid of you. And
it's like, if you can't come up with an answer
in ten seconds, then you are clearly not worth my time.
(02:21:25):
But as far as the rest of the show, for
NXT again didn't watch it. I know Moose came in,
I know Joe Hendry was hiding a refrigerator, which is
kind of funny to think about. And I know Nia
was on the show and she wrestled thea which you know,
rest in peace the way shouldn't say rest in peace.
(02:21:46):
But yeah, that's really all the show. Justin are you
still here? Are you still with us?
Speaker 5 (02:21:56):
Justin?
Speaker 2 (02:21:59):
Okay, Well, I don't just want to end the show
with him gone. So let's see. Let me look at
the questions real quick. When's the last time we did
a Q and a yes soundtrack featuring on us from
(02:22:22):
movie are a video game? So the questions? HM, okay,
so I'm looking at the last question. So Maurice sent
(02:22:45):
a question from April. M Yeah, it's been forever. So
let me text justin give me one second and I'll
just If not, I'll just jump into questions, all right,
(02:23:11):
texted them. I just ask somewhere he is at. I'm
just gonna read a question. So Maurice sent this question
on April the twenty eighth, twenty twenty five. He wanted
to ask me best soundtrack album featuring artists for a
movie or a video game. Well, for a movie, I'm
gonna say The Crow, the Original Crow with Brandon Lee
(02:23:35):
like that kind that soundtrack I thought was epic. I thought,
I thought, I thought it really made the movie. It
really told the story about how the movie was. So
that's definitely a that's definitely one of my choices and
(02:23:56):
Guardians of the Galaxy one, like those are my two
favorite soundtracks video game? You said Arkham City, I'm gonna
I'm all go with Arkham City. Fuck it, master g.
He says, have we ever played the Mafia Games? And
have you seen the trailer for Mafia the Old Country.
(02:24:21):
I've never played the Mafia Games. I've heard of them,
heard the fun I know people like him, I just
never played them. As wwe on track for a good
Summer Slam season or are we pessimistic? Well, Summer slams
already passed, So this is kind of a late question.
(02:24:42):
What is the best thing on aw TV currently? This
should be interesting. Well, I guess I'm gonna give my
opinion based off of what I've seen. The Hurt Syndicate
is probably the best thing on the show. And Tony Storm.
(02:25:04):
I think there was a Rustle kan Oh yeah, there
was a Rustle con over SummerSlam weekend, and Tony Storm
had had a line outside of the door and will
Ospray line was like nowhere even near. It wasn't even
a quarterfall. So, I mean, I've said it before about
Tony is you know, she's without a doubt the best
(02:25:28):
thing on the show. She's the most overstar in that company.
You know, she gets a reaction, she makes money, Like
I'd choose her over a company. Definitely, Mercedes, like in
a heartbeat, definitely over fucking will Ospray. So yeah, so
(02:25:51):
the Hurt Syndicate will Ospray and and MJF. MJF is
always entertaining, even though he's kind of at this point
going through the motions because the the MJF from like
five years ago is different from the MGF, like it's
two different mgfs. At this point, he's just counting until
(02:26:14):
he can go to ww Drew. I know you're not
a g t A guy, but would you be willing
to give GTA a section tribe? Justin plays a spider
me mean, I the thing about video games is like
I have to really be engaged in the game, and
I just I can't. I don't know. G t A
(02:26:35):
games just don't really, they don't really do it for me.
I'm happy people like him, It's just there's just a
lot of shit I'm not into. But yeah, I'm just
it's not my thing personally. Again, it looks amazing and
it looks fun. It's just those games I just I
(02:26:57):
can't get into. Unfortunately, No, Justin, where's Justin att? I
hope he's okay? So seem goof has questions? Okay, We're
(02:27:27):
already at two and a half hours and it's eleven thirty.
What the hell do you go? Okay? Text him again?
Speaker 1 (02:27:45):
A right, I'm back.
Speaker 2 (02:27:46):
Sorry about that, Okay, don't worry about it. Yeah, I
just finished up. I finished up RAW. I didn't really
watch NXT because I was at the grocery store. I
was actually reading the Q and A questions.
Speaker 1 (02:28:02):
Oh, okay, there was one for you, it was one
for me.
Speaker 2 (02:28:07):
Well, I guess it was kind of for both of us.
But Master G. I wanted to know, have you have
we ever played the Mafia games? And have you seen
the trailer from Mafia the Old Country?
Speaker 1 (02:28:18):
Yes? Looks great.
Speaker 3 (02:28:21):
Love the Mafia games very fun.
Speaker 2 (02:28:24):
All right, Maurice, he's because the last time we did
one of these was in April. Yeah, Maurice had a
question back on April twenty eighth, what's the best soundtrack
album featuring artists for a movie or a video game?
Speaker 1 (02:28:43):
Well, I'm not gonna go a video game because that's
the obvious answer. But outside of outside of the obvious,
Tony Hawk, a lot of the eight big games back
in the day, like Mega Man, Last Master Hausylvania, all
good stuff, and movies Friday A lot. There was a
(02:29:07):
lot of movies back in the day that had like
like music albums for the actual movie itself, so like
New Jack City Friday Above the Rim.
Speaker 2 (02:29:20):
So Movi was like that, I chose the crow of Yeah,
great soundtrack, let's see. And then he asked a summer
sam question. But this is back in May, so it's like, yeah,
that's already passed. He also had master g He asked, uh,
what is the best thing on aw TV currently? I said,
(02:29:43):
h I said Tony Storm, and the hurt syndicate.
Speaker 1 (02:29:52):
Was, hang, maybe on the show tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:29:55):
Oh I didn't watch, so I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:29:57):
Fun, I can't. I'll be honest, I don't know, bro.
Speaker 2 (02:30:01):
But yeah, I just said Tony Storm.
Speaker 3 (02:30:05):
She's great, you know what I mean. She's fantastic, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (02:30:08):
But she's the most over. She's probably the biggest star
in that on that company.
Speaker 1 (02:30:13):
She's definitely one of them for sure. Yeah, she's definitely
up there.
Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
I heard it Wressel Cohn. She had a line outside
of the door and roll Osprey didn't even have like
a third of that. That's what I heard, okay, so
uh and then he asked me drew, uh master g
if I if I'm not because I'm not into g
T A what I'd be willing to give g T
(02:30:37):
A six a try if Justin plays a Spider Man game.
Speaker 1 (02:30:40):
Played all the Spider Man games, so that answers your question.
Probably I played all this, but I like I like
the Spider Man games I played him.
Speaker 2 (02:30:49):
Yeah, I'm probably I'm probably still not going to play
g T A six, but you know, visually it looks amazing.
It was, yeah, I yeah, I know, so right, Uh,
I mean there's more questions. I don't know if you
want to do them or just wait on another day.
Speaker 1 (02:31:05):
I mean, if people are weighing since when was that?
When was uh?
Speaker 2 (02:31:11):
The first question from Maurice asked it in April twenty eighth.
Speaker 3 (02:31:16):
Yeah, they've been waiting for over three months. Like we
let's knock these out.
Speaker 2 (02:31:19):
All right, sweet Sam Goof has some questions. Sam Goof's
question is if is Jeff Flipman's new pet turtle turtlely
enough for the Turtle Club.
Speaker 1 (02:31:32):
I don't. I don't know, bro, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (02:31:36):
You know Jeff Lipmann has a turtle. He's quite fond
of it or her. Yeah, why not all turtles are
turtlely for the Turtle Club, secially Jeff Flipman's turtle. Who's
winning the Super Bowl next year? And why is it
not going to be the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (02:31:51):
I'll be honest if if one's Dallas embarrasses this year
in the regular season, I'm not watching our Cowboys game
for the year.
Speaker 2 (02:32:04):
Uh F, Mary Kill, are you gonna are you gonna
answer the question I have? I have nothing to add
because I don't really care about football that much. H
F Mary Kill Caden, Carter Nikida Lions La Lahedra Leahydra leydra.
Speaker 1 (02:32:29):
F Nikida Mary Caden, I guess unfortunately kill Lehydra, even
though she's a good looking, good looking woman.
Speaker 2 (02:32:36):
Well, I'll just go with your list. Uh what pro
athlete would you do a quote unquote do over on
their career? Two? You can go back live through their
career and give them a second chance. Can be from
any time period past or present, before you were born
or after. So who's someone that you think if if
(02:33:00):
you had a magic time machine, you can do a
do over on that?
Speaker 1 (02:33:07):
Well, no, I'm thinking you didn't go first.
Speaker 2 (02:33:17):
That's tough. I can't really think of too many people.
Mm hmm. I mean some basketball players come to mind.
Maybe maybe Sean Kemp, you know, Brian Shawan Kemp for
(02:33:43):
the Seattle SuperSonics, Like he was fucking amazing to watch. Yeah,
but you know then he just didn't want to work
out anymore. He got in trouble. You know, I think
he did drugs too, and I don't know, fix his career,
you know, keep him going on the straight and narrow.
Speaker 1 (02:34:04):
Got Derek Rose.
Speaker 2 (02:34:06):
Derek Rose, that's another good one.
Speaker 1 (02:34:08):
Yeah, that's mine. Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:34:13):
Steven Jackson making sure he stayed with the Spurs after
their three championship Hum hm, that's interesting. Yeah, like when
he when he left the team that first time, I
was heartbroken. I'm like, really like this, this could have
been an All Star but he left her whatever fucking reason.
(02:34:36):
I don't know. Those are the only ones that come
to mind. How badly are the Dallas Cowboys going to
disappoint their fans this year? Goof why are you trying
to make? Why are you trying to make? Justin that
next is chocolate, vanilla or strawberry? What's your preferred flavor
for a milkshake? Out of those three?
Speaker 3 (02:34:57):
Vanilla, chocolate, But because you can mix in anything with
with it too.
Speaker 2 (02:35:05):
So true preferred meal and beverage when watching your favorite
sport on TV.
Speaker 1 (02:35:13):
No, I don't think I have a preferred meal or
beverage while watching a favorite sport. But like I think
what goes best with watching a sport for me personally
is some wings, as you know, but I mean I don't,
but it's not like really a preferred you know what I.
Speaker 2 (02:35:30):
Mean, but cannot go wrong with chicken wings, So I'm
gonna go with wings as well, and pizza pizza is
another choice. I don't want to answer this question whatever,
Who's gay or Lieutenant Jim Dangle from Reno nine to
one one or I'm not answering that for who Lieutenant
(02:36:00):
Jim Dangle from Reno nine to one one or Anna
are Anna.
Speaker 1 (02:36:08):
I'm gonna go with Anna because you know she seems
very happy.
Speaker 2 (02:36:12):
So and I'll go with Anna, all right. So that's
enough from goof of weems. I've seen him in the
chat room, been seeing this floating around. Do you think
if the Rock stayed and stayed in the two thousands
and didn't go to Hollywood makes an Orton like career,
do you think he'd be at seventeen chips along Sena
or Rock was already at nine chips prior to sena debut.
Speaker 1 (02:36:37):
I'm gonna say new Personally, you know he'll be he'll
be like at thirteen fourteen, But I don't I don't
think it would have been that high.
Speaker 3 (02:36:46):
In my opinion, I may be wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:36:49):
It would have been interesting to see him mix it
up with some people because you know, it's funny like
when he left, that's when Sean Mis came and you know,
we never got to see that dream match of you know,
Sean Rock or maybe a Rock versus very mysterious. But
I think, you know, I don't know what happened happened,
(02:37:10):
you know, the Rock. I think it was destined. I
think if he had stayed and never went to Hollywood,
I eventually he probably would have gotten pushed out right,
because they're already doing that. They already did that to
Austin before. Before he walked out, he was kind of
already getting pushed out right, you know. So you know
(02:37:33):
all careers worked out for the bat. Yeah, sure, but uh,
thank you Wims. Lastly, Master G has a He has
he has a few questions, a favorite frozen pizza and
the best way to cook.
Speaker 1 (02:37:50):
It advanced frozen. He's the best one. Well, that'st way
he cooked FROs and pizza is all the instructions on
the back, and make sure you put the pizza on
the on the actual rack. Don't put it in a pam.
Put on the actual rack itself. Past frozen pieces is
really what you're looking for. Tombstone is really good, gets
(02:38:12):
the job done, screaming Sicilian Mercy, Motorcy City Pizza Company.
Those are the three. So that's that's the way I
would answer this particular question.
Speaker 2 (02:38:29):
We just got the HP brand frozen pizza and we
put it in in our but in the oven fall instructions.
Like you said, so we're basic challenge. Okay, Drew, you
should have Morning Slam justin try something he doesn't like
and vice versa.
Speaker 1 (02:38:50):
No, it's not must with what the changed it. Oh
well no, it's still it's still more like the actual
at Okay, fair enough.
Speaker 2 (02:38:58):
Well this question was July twenty third said Drew, you
should have justin try and makes try something he doesn't like,
and vice versa. If so, what would you guys make
each other do something fun and not corny?
Speaker 1 (02:39:15):
I don't you know what I would challenge you to
watch all the all the Bond movies in order, except
with the exception of uh A sception of the two.
Speaker 3 (02:39:25):
Non Eon movies, all the official Eon Bond movies.
Speaker 2 (02:39:29):
Okay, I'll do that, and I will challenge you mm
hmm to watch all the Fast and Furious movies.
Speaker 1 (02:39:39):
Oh fucking okay, sure, I seen. I mean, you know,
and I actually see I seen seen the first one,
I see Tokyo Drift, I seen UH Fast four, So
I've seen someone. I still like him.
Speaker 3 (02:39:55):
But you know, I'll watch them in order, right, you
got you got way movies to watch them.
Speaker 2 (02:40:02):
I mean I could have been like, hey, I want
you to watch all the MCU movies.
Speaker 1 (02:40:07):
Well I've seen most of the MCU movies except for
like the shitty ones either because it was it was it.
It's thirty seven, yep, I've seen third or I'm sorry,
I've seen like twenty eight of them.
Speaker 2 (02:40:19):
Maybe Okay, So I said, so, where can I find
the James Bond movies?
Speaker 1 (02:40:28):
Well, probably now on.
Speaker 2 (02:40:31):
I think they're an MGM, yeah, MGM, yeah, yeah, the
app So I forget the MGM.
Speaker 1 (02:40:38):
Yeah, yeah, you're you're probably gonna need to go now
I have no I have all my Bond movies on
physical media, so I watched them on physical media. So
but I think if you go to I think it's
MGM plus, yeah, you'll be able to watch them. So
if you do watch them, watch them. I will say,
watch them in order from the beginning. I don't watch
(02:40:59):
them out order. Don't don't start with fucking you know
Craig and go all the way back to fucking Connrie
because you're you're not gonna like it like that. I
will say, just watch it in order and just go
from there.
Speaker 2 (02:41:10):
That's just me. So sounds good. All right. What's the
next question. Well, I think it's the last.
Speaker 1 (02:41:18):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:41:18):
The critics, the criticisms that you guys say about wrestlers,
some derogatory. Would you say it to their face? Yeah,
I'm playing I like for for for me.
Speaker 1 (02:41:30):
I don't I don't think I I don't think I
will say anything I say here. I don't think I
will say to a wrestler. I let me prophrase it.
Anything i'll say here I would say to a wrestler's face.
Because I don't say anything. I don't say anything. I
don't think I feel I feel like I don't say
anything derogatory about him. I just talk about, you know,
what I like and just like like carrying across I
(02:41:52):
will like I don't I'm not afraid to talk to
someone like, hey, you know, I don't like your not
saying that you fucking suck, but like you know, you
just you know me personally, I don't like you knowing
you're you're you're over a ship as a as a talent,
and I talked. I talked to local wrestlers too, and
they appreciate like, oh, well, you know, you give some
(02:42:16):
good opinions like you know, hey, I disagree with them,
and you know, go from there. I don't think I
say anything like derogatory. I'm just giving opinions about you know,
about what I what I like and what I dislike.
Speaker 2 (02:42:27):
You know.
Speaker 1 (02:42:28):
I mean, I'm not you know, calling them there there
there's other podcasters and we know who they are. That
that says derogatory ship I be personally, I don't say
they do derogatory. So at least I don't think I do.
Speaker 2 (02:42:44):
Talk a lot of ship because I know I'm never
going to meet these people, so whatever. Anyways, that's just me.
But that's all the questions. As always, feel free to
add any questions, get to them and we can. I
do apologize for these shows going over a little little
(02:43:05):
too long, but you know, it's what happens. You know.
We we've had a lot of we have had a
lot to talk about in the past three weeks.
Speaker 1 (02:43:12):
So, you know, people like it though for the most part.
Speaker 2 (02:43:16):
I like it too. I just you know, I feel
bad when I keep you here. That's just that's just
how I feel. But anyways, Uh, that's all the show.
Uh two hours and forty two minutes. Uh yeah. YouTube channel,
Uh subscribe, I think we got we got five more subscribers,
(02:43:39):
so we're at one fifty six so that's pretty cool, awesome,
and UH like to like to get to at least
two hundred, you know, before the end of the year,
so or three hundred. Yeah, I like to aim high.
And uh yeah, just go to the Drewyard Experience on
YouTube and just subscribe, like and leave a comment, and
(02:43:59):
as far as the audio portion goes, you can hear
it anywhere speaker, iTunes, Spotify, and a dui experience on Twitter,
which I'm at over eleven hundred followers, so that's pretty dope.
I'm getting followers from from wrestlers because Charlie Hass. Remember
(02:44:20):
Charlie Haass. Yeah, now he follows me on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (02:44:24):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (02:44:25):
Yeah, it's random. I like, I've always liked Charlie SaaS.
But uh, you know where to find me? Justin where
can they find you?
Speaker 1 (02:44:33):
Yeah, of course you guys. In order to find me
that spine muster Tees dot com, spine muster Tees on Instagram.
Follow me there where you could be able to see
