Speaker 1 (00:55):
You good? No, okay? Uh are you ready to start? Yeah,
let's do it, okay, jeezus? All right? So and we're
live on YouTube. All right, What's what's going on? People?
This is the NXC Halloween Havoc twenty twenty five post show.

(01:17):
This is the experience. I am Drew and joining me
like he always has on these NXC post shows.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Is oh C evil or evil? Though? What's up? Everyone?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
All right? And uh yeah, we're gonna talk about this
NXT Halloween Havoc show that just occurred. Just ended a
few minutes ago. It almost went three hours. Usually these
are about two and a half hours, but uh, I
went a little longer tonight. But you know, the crowd
didn't seem to mind. I didn't seem to mind. I

(01:50):
guess before we get into these matches, how how did
you feel about the show as a whole?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I mean, usually you save that until the end. I'm
happy to see you know. For a while, it seemed
like TNA was working with n XT and Triple A
was only working with the main roster. And now that's
sort of seems to not be the case. Triple A
obviously being part of n XT. Now Triple A is

(02:23):
actually gonna send in Laredo Kid to Evolve, you know,
probably just for one show. I haven't seen any TNA
and Evolved yet, but that's all interesting. As far as
the show itself, I mean, I think that there were
a lot of ups. I think some of the downs
were pretty down, But part of that is just my bias.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, fair enough. I thought a lot of the mid
card stuff was better. It was a lot more entertaining
and easier to deal with. Uh the uh Like you said, like,
you know, the down was kind of down, And I
would say to me, like, there wasn't really anything that

(03:08):
was overly bad on this show, you know, minus a
few hiccups. But we'll talk about that. But yeah, let's
get into it already. So Halloween Havoc was in Prescott Valley, Arizona,
in the Finley Toyota Center. The first match up it
was a tag team match Javon Evans and the TNA

(03:30):
Exhivision champion Leon Slater versus Triple A's Mister Iguana and
La Parca. The crowd really loved this match. I'll give
them that. They really did love this match. I didn't
hate it. I just wasn't really too jazzed about it.
I thought I thought it went a little too long.

(03:51):
It was seventeen minutes and fifty six seconds. I think
it could have been maybe five minutes shorter, and I
think it would have just it would have been fine
the way it was. There were some botches, as you
can expect. Uh, there was one where, I mean the
bigger one was towards the end where I believe it

(04:13):
was Javan and mister Iguana they're I guess they're trying
to do like a a simultaneous simultaneous or what do
you call it, in sync like kind of spot where
Javan usually goes for his like neck breaker and mister
Iguana is trying to like hit him or whatever, and
they missed.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
It simultaneous cutters, and they both missed.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, they missed it by a fucking mile. And by
that it's just like, yeah, you need to end this
sin already, because that's just that's no bueno. Leon Slater
is very interesting to watch. He's extremely fucking athletic. I
do think Javon is a little bit better than him

(04:57):
in my opinion. Lapar Arca that I kinda he kind
of has like a special place in my heart for
nostalgic reasons, and mister Iguana is just again, he's just
living life. He's over with this crowd, and good for him.
But Javon and Leon won the match as you would expect.

(05:19):
But what'd you think?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I hated this match?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Okay, I didn't.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Want to hate it. I know that anything with Luca
and It is silly. I think putting the Luca guys
with Javon and Leon Slater is something that on paper
might have sounded like a good idea. But I think
to anybody who's an actual agent or producer, knowing how
young those two kids are and the difference in the
Luca style and how they've the two of them have

(05:46):
been trained, to try to make this a tag team
match just seemed ill conceived. I think they needed people
with experience to be in there to even make this
work a little bit. The only dynamically which seemed to
have worked, and I'm actually glad they didn't go that way,
was Leon and Javan keep inadvertently hitting each other and

(06:07):
sparking that feud, which could be interesting. But I prefer
them as a tag team at least for the time being.
I like mister Gwan as a novelty item, but it's
already getting to the point where it's too much. The
Ayesca stuff is silly. I like it in Luca matches,
I like it in Triple I like it in the
Triple A universe and very limited, and it's and it's

(06:30):
already gone past the very limited. And I know this
was a half Luca match, but it was on American
soil on a five to six, not Luca card Or
at least largely. And they're just not that good. I mean,
mister Gwan is not that good a wrestler. He's funny,
you know, but he's he's not very good. He's not

(06:51):
very strong. A Parka is not a very good wrestler.
He's got funny dance moves, his costume was off the hook,
you know, all that, but none of them are very good.
He's not very strong. He does like he was trying
to do like a jackhammer brainbuster kind of thing, and
he couldn't. Twice he couldn't like slow motion brainbuster. I mean,

(07:14):
and they missed each other a lot. It seemed like
Leon and Javon were sort of a little bit lost,
but they make up for it in speed and excitement.
But you know, they kept slapping each other's hands from
outside the ring and into the ring, leaning down like
almost like a crutch because they didn't know what else
to do. I just thought this whole match was a
bloody mess, and I think it may you've been fine

(07:37):
on the opening of a house show, but this was
the opening of a plea and honestly, I was embarrassed
to be watching this, and I was like, oh my god,
this is this does not bode well for the rest
of the car. But I'm like, Okay, the rest of
the car isn't going to be this kind of nonsense,
So all right, not sorry, I thought this match was

(07:59):
really pretty awful.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Oh no, I mean, I'm you know, apologize. I didn't.
I didn't really care for the match either. I mean,
I think I think you maybe disliked it more than me.
But I was more just like, I guess they needed
a spot for Javon On, and this was more just like,
you know, oh, we need a match in quick, and
we need a way to include Javon and Leon and
oh triple A guys perfect. It's like, I don't know,

(08:25):
I think you could have they could have figured out
a better way to utilize Javon Evans and Leon Slater
than whatever the hell this match was. But luckily the
rest of the show, you know spoilers was you know,
better than this match. But moving on, you have a
Day of the Dead match for the NXC North American

(08:46):
Championship Ethan Page, Who's the North American Champion Versus Elhijo
Day Doctor Wagner Junior. First off, I really like this match, Like,
I really like this match more than I thought I would.
I it's funny because we talked about it on the

(09:06):
show this week and also last week, where maybe it's
just a me problem where I just keep pointing out
the almost the asinine, just shit of a lot of
these gimming matches that always start with you know, it's
a street fight, but it's really an Australian street fight. No,

(09:26):
it's really a Halloween street fight. It's like, but it's
still a street fight, and there's no theme to it.
I mean, the only esthetic to this match was that
it was purple lighting, and that I guess that was
kind of cool. But I don't know, I guess I
was expecting more of the Day of the Dead match.
But nonetheless, this match was fun. I really did like

(09:47):
this match. Ethan got color, which I thought was, you know,
kind of interesting. I know Ethan to me like he
he's kind of mister NXT at this point. Know, he
tends to have a lot of the better segments on
the show and a lot of the better, you know,
matches on the show. And do I think he's going

(10:08):
to be like a big star on the main roster. No,
but he you know, you don't always need to be
a big star on the main roster. You just need
to be you need to be someone who's reliable on
a good hand, and I think he's someone that can
be of value on the main roster. But going back
to this match, I thought this was really fun. Wagner
is someone that I can see why WWE has been

(10:31):
going out of their way to try and get something
out of as opposed to the KINGO where they realize
what they were going to get out of him from
the moment you know, those pay per views happened in Mexico.
In this case, this guy didn't I mean, he didn't
knock my socks off or anything. But I thought him
and him and Ethan worked really well. Uh they kind

(10:54):
of they kind of size each other up pretty well.
They seem to have pretty good chemistry in the ring
for two guys that have never really had a one
on one match with each other. I know they had
like multiple man matches with each other, but in this
case is like their first one on one on one
match that I know of. So I I really enjoyed it.
I did like the finish. I'm a big, I'm a
big I'm big when it comes to finishes, and I

(11:16):
thought the finish of this match worked well with Ethan
throwing like the white powder in Wagner's face after he
tried to rip off his mask, and then he does
the twisted for the one two three. So I thought,
this is really good. This might be this so far,
I think, yeah, I think this is my match of
the night. I'm gonna go ahead be confident about that.

(11:37):
But what did you think about the match?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
So this was the start of where we saw back
to back to back three of the best wrestling heels
in the business today period. I have the same complaint
that you did, which was lazy. We saw chairs and
trash cans and tables with Slim Jim on them. I

(12:01):
mean they were no like you know Aztec or toll tech.
You know, weapons There weren't like jaguar headdresses or opulent headdresses.
There was you know, not like miniature step pyramids to
to you know, they were made a mache or whatever
to use. I mean the you did note the lighting,
but they didn't even do like, you know, sort of

(12:22):
Mesoamerican theme, like you know, lighting on the runners or
the barricades. I just they could have made it, you know,
you know, they could have had you know, the Ethan pages,
you know, the paint on his half face, you know,
like thunder Rosa does, and also as EO did under
his mask, which I thought was a nice touch as well.

(12:47):
I don't love Eho did Doctor Wagner Junior or the
Third or whatever his name is. His father was actually
much better than he is. But he's okay, He's fine,
and this is actually the best I've ever seen him.
I think part of the reason I like him is
abcause of your friend r J, who who hates him

(13:07):
and then sort of tainted my view of him a
little bit. I totally agree with pushing him over the KINGO.
The Kingo's ridiculous, But there are others in in Triple
A that I preferre. I mean, I like Psycho Cloon,
I like Octagon there comes I'm more of a CMLL

(13:28):
guy than I am of a Triple A guy. But
I'm sure there are some of if people named the
the roster to me that I could come up with,
and I you know that I like more. But Match
youself was a lot of fun. I just I just
couldn't like there's that that toll Tech or Olmo sport
that they played there was sort of like a combination
of lacrosse and basketball, Like they could have had those

(13:49):
like those like bachi ball things as weapons and those mallets.
I just I just think they could have been a
little bit more interesting with with what they use for
a data, especially since there were two no disqualification matches
which were essentially the same rules of no rules. But right,
getting past that, if this is just you know, a

(14:09):
street fight, still not very creative with the weaponry and
then the accoutra mom, but very good. Match Ethan Page
is terrific. I liked to he kept going back to
the mask. E Eho's Hulk Up was about the weakest
Hulk cup I've ever seen in the world in forty
years of people hulking up. That was about as bad
as I've ever seen. But Ethan was gone for an awful

(14:32):
long time while Eho was on the turnbuckle like preparing
to do something, and I'm like, what is he doing?
And then finally comes back with the mister Fuji salt
or chalk and throws it in the face.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I'm just like, yes, I haven't seen that so long.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
And then you know, then then as you said he
did the twisted smile, he had already driven done the ethos,
the ego's edge. So yeah, Ethan Pages, he's, like I said,
one of the best ills in wrestling today period, bar none.
Just everything about him. His face paint was red and
white like the Canadian collars. I just just it was

(15:04):
just it was just terrific. So whatever whatever detriment there
might been from Doctor Wagner's son and and then there
wasn't much. It's you know, it was more than over
overcome by Ethan Page. And you remember my match of
the night, I think of the last pay per view
or at least two p Lea's ago was Ethan Page against
Tavan Heights, which was not even really like a you know,

(15:27):
a high card match, but just really good and uh.
And I hate to say this, but I don't even
think that it was all Ethan carrying him. I mean,
in the beginning, doctor Wagon was holding his own. Towards
the end, you could see that the guy who was
not in shape was starting to get gassed and really
sort of was lost, and Ethan rescued him by being

(15:48):
like ultra heally so uh and dramatic. So that was great? Then, yeah,
what kind of say? I agree? I think this was
a terrific match. I'm not sure if it was my
match of the night or not, but but I mean
it's in the conversation, agreed.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Let me let me ask you something since we're on
the topic of Ethan page what do you think? And
I don't know if I've asked you this before, but like,
what do you think about Ethan? Like what does Ethan
have in WWWE that either he never had anywhere else
or people just didn't see it? Like, what what do
you think he does better here than he's ever done

(16:24):
anywhere else?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Well, people did see it in impact, I mean, people
loved him. You know, they were talking about the North
being like one of the greatest tag teams in the world.
Him and Josh Alexander, and he was doing the karate
man thing, so people did see it there, I mean,
and when he came into aw it was sort of
made a big deal, but it was it was, you know,
but they introduced him as part of like I think
a twenty person Battle Royal where there was no you know,

(16:50):
build up to him coming there, and they it was
the same night that they debuted Christian Cage, So I
mean that you know, that was the that was So
I think what he didn't what he has is a
chance and a chance to be on his own, not
on a tag team. But NXT is a smaller universe,
so it's easier to be a big fish. I mean,

(17:13):
he came in right of way as a trusted hand.
He established himself. He does whatever needs to be done.
He's basically the Miss, except he's better. I mean, he's
he's faster than the Miss. I don't know if he's
smarter than the miser, more clever. I mean, I think
they're similar, but but he moves better. Like I don't
think anyone would say that Ethan Page is a safe
style wrestler, which you know, the Miss is now forty four,

(17:35):
so that criticism is stupid at this point, but you know,
Ethan Page is better at the wrestling part of it
and somehow more believable even though he's smaller. I don't know,
I think just answer his opportunity. But I don't want
to blame necessary. I mean, I always like to blame
AW but with their clutter and all of this, But

(17:58):
sometimes you're just a better fit someplace else. Tony Storm
was a better fit in a W, Swerve was a
better fit in a W. You know that, it's just
sort of the way certain things are. And Moxley better
fit in a W for his goals anyway.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, I was about to say, like, like what I.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Mean, I haven't watched a W in two years, so
I really only am vaguely aware of what's going on,
and mostly through criticism on you know, what goes on
on the X and the few wrestling podcasts I listened to.
But yeah, I think it's mostly been opportunity and opportunity
to show what he can do and how he can
shine and and he really is. He's the rudder of
the brand. He's the he's the stable, he's he's the

(18:44):
you know he can be mister NXT for years. He
could go to the main roster tomorrow. You know, they
put him with Chelsea Green. That worked, Like I mean,
like certain people, they work with anybody, and those people
should be that valued.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
J C.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Jaane works with anybody. Tatum Packs works with anyone. Hey,
Ethan Page seems to work with anyone. So you know
Drew McIntyre. So I think just I just think it's opportunity.
But yeah, I mean, I agree with you that this
this match was great. They could have been a whole
lot more creative or even a little bit creative with
the weapons and the environment, environment and the atmosphere tried

(19:21):
to combine those two words. But yeah, great match.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
At fun agreed. Next, as you have a singles match
for the NXT Women's North American Championship, you have Blake
Monroe versus what it was supposed to be Soul Ruka,
but she suffered an injury, so Zaria took her place
for the for the championship. Basically, so Zari was basically

(19:45):
holding that title for Soul. I mean it was it
was a good match. It was kind of short and
sweetened to the point it didn't go overboard. It wasn't
I don't want to say overbooked, Well, I'll say that
it wasn't as overbooked as like most GAGA matches are,
like like the women's championship match that was a little

(20:06):
overbooked towards the end, and I can kind of see
why they went the way they did with that match.
But we'll get to that point where we talk about it.
But this at least made sense. You know, there's a
spot where Tzaria dislocates her shoulder and then Soul just
like literally pushes her into the ring posts and pops

(20:27):
her breath back into place. Mariah walks literally walks in
front of her cane and knocks her down, or I
guess Soul knocks down on her own after her cane
got knocked down. So but yeah, the match was fine.
The match wasn't like overly great or not necessarily I'm

(20:49):
going to remember in a week, but the right person one.
I think everybody was gonna pick Mariah even if Soul
didn't get hurt. I think Mariah was gonna win regardless
because now is really her time and she It's weird
to think about at the beginning of the year she
was the aw Women's champion and then flash forward. You know,
months later she's the NXC North American Women's Champion. So

(21:11):
she was a women's champion in two different companies in
one year. But uh yeah, Maria Mariah Blake Monroe, I
think she's done a great job in NXT. To your
point what you were alluding to earlier about heels, you know,
she's one of the best heels in the company. She

(21:33):
might even be as far as like heels as women.
You know, she's up there with Becky And I think
she's done a really good job at NXT. She obviously
feels more comfortable in her role in NXT. The fans
seem to take tour and I'm not gonna one hundred
percent say I'm per biggest fan because there's still some

(21:55):
problems I have with her matches. But like I I
think she's very good. I think, you know, she's kind
of close to winning me over but not yet. But
she's the champion because she kind of she deserves to
be in the spot. But overall, would you think, way.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
I'm pulling for you to win over Drew. Hopefully you can.
Hopefully you can get there one day. Girl. I really
like this. I thought everything about it was great. You
knew that they were in for troubled Ones. Zaria was
going to defend souls honor and defend the title for her,
and of course she wanted to get a little revenge
from you know, a couple of weeks ago last week

(22:32):
when Blake Monroe, you know, hit her in the neck
with that hairpin, which I'm so glad was only alluded
to and wasn't really used in this match, because that
was such that was that was so campy and corny.
I mean, at least if you're going to do that
that it should be spouting blood like a vampire movie.
And you know, it's Halloween, so opportunity to do so.

(22:53):
But I thought this was perfect heel work. She's a
she's a great heel. She's not chicken shit, but she
but she moves like she's a smart heel and I
like that. I mean, not the promo style, not the
craftness style, but like sort of like NJF and that

(23:13):
she doesn't run away from anyone, but she doesn't waste
movements and she takes her time and uses things. Or
when MJF was good, I hear he's gotten worse in
the last couple of years. M but just I don't know,
I feel like this thing was a whole pleasure, just
a pleasure watch. I mean, Zaria with the power, but

(23:35):
not particularly crafty, not a lot of interesting moves, Blake
Monroe using everything to her advantage, even accidents. You know,
when she's stumbling and bumbling around the ring and the
stairs are apart, and so she has to take the
wider berth to not trip over the stairs while she's
avoiding Zaria, and she turns around and you know, maybe purposely,
maybe in advertently, kicks out the crutch from out from

(23:56):
under Soul, and Soul falls down, and Zaria making the
same as I think she did a couple of weeks
ago in the Battle Royal, which was even stupid, or
because you could still go to your friend without eliminating
yourself in the battle, while you could go under the ropes,
under the second rope, under the third rope, any anything
other than jumping down and off the top rope, and
you're not eliminated, and you could you could have gotten

(24:17):
to her half a second less less quickly and and
hugged her a little bit more like but yeah, you know,
we're falling over her way too much, and you know,
and and sowing that seed where souls like sort of
sick of it, like you know, you didn't keep your
eye on the ball, like told you not to worry
about me. You know, I'm tough blah blah blah. And
then you know they'll have their ultimate feud, which is

(24:40):
fine and good. But I thought I didn't think it
was short and sweet. I thought it was you know whatever,
eleven or twelve minutes. Maybe that's a perfect length. And
I thought it was really good.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
I mean no, no, no, no, no, no, Like I
actually liked the fact that it was shorter because I
said short and sweet, as like, you know, it got
to the point, like the match, it had a point,
and it got to it, you know, quickly, you know
what I.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Mean, Yeah, immediately out to the point when she goes
does a luthes press and starts hitting her. It's like
I love that that the heel comes out attack and
she's she's the smaller, you know, against the power one,
and so she's not gonna run, but she's just she's
just coming in boom, And I don't know, just I
liked everything about.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
It, and uh, you know, to kind of piggyback off
of what you said about Blake earlier is that she
doesn't do the typical chicken shit heel thing of just
like I'm gonna I'm gonna talk shit, then I'm gonna
run away from fights like I I hate that. I
every now again. That work every now and again. That
works if you're trying to piss off the heel, like

(25:40):
if you're talking ship and then you walk away and
you're like, but we're gonna do this on my terms.
But if it's like you literally run away from every
single fight, it's like, how am I supposed to take you? Seriously?
With Blake, it's like she's not afraid to get scrappy,
like she's not afraid to go out there and you know, whoop,
you know, whoop a bitch's ass. So yeah, I again,
I I like Blake a little more than I used to,

(26:02):
but I'm not not just there yet. But no, I
didn't think the match was bad. Definitely didn't think the
match was bad. Another thing you kind of mentioned is that,
you know Zaria kind of doing the stupid babyface thing
of eliminating herself from a battle royal and then she
kind of does it again, you know, during this match

(26:22):
where you know, soul gets knocked down and then she
helps her out, and then when she gets back in
the ring, she gets pinned. Like I don't know, maybe
this is kind of me kind of over analyzing that,
but like, don't you think that's kind of what makes
Mariah a good heel is that she kind of makes
the babyfaces overthink and then they make stupid decisions.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Maybe, I mean it could be, but Zaria seems to
do it to herself, which makes her, you know, more
of a Gym Knighthart than a Brett Hart, which is fine.
She could be a Peluka. I mean, you know, do
you know Bravo would have had a perfectly good career
if he wasn't a criminal and got him self, you know, assassinated.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Oh that was dark.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
It's the power wrestler. I mean, that's that's all he was.
You know, he's like a big lug who would you know,
punch kick, you know, clothesline and you know, and some
sort of power slam type of thing that that that's
who was. Jim Knightheart's another one, you know, he's but
I think Jim Knighthearts are more like Zari and that
he's got the you know, the mean look, you know,

(27:29):
but he's a face and and he's got the lad
you know, and he's got a little bit of personality.
Dino Bravo didn't really have much personality. But anyway, it's
you know, not not that not everyone needs to be
a smart wrestler. I'm not sure. I'm not sure Roadway
or Animal was ever all that smart either.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
So do you think do you think Zaria goes heal
after this.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Eventually? I mean it would be really interesting, super interesting
as Old does, except she just looks so much like
a face, and she's so over as a face, and
Zaria looks like a heel, and and I think at
some point it would be malpractice unless you're raising these
women to the to the roster prison to not revisit
the Zaria Jordan Grace a few did they tease that
back when Jordan Grace was still working for TNA, And

(28:17):
they then they kept like trading spears and in battle
royals and in multi women matches and then nothing. So
you know, I know, I'd like to see that match.
So but yeah, I think at some point Zaria goes heel,
but in her mind she's not heel. She's she's right.
You know, she did everything she could for her soul.
She you know, busted her shoulder soul. Uses just assume

(28:40):
she she's an all of a sudden, she's a adopt
and she thinks she just pushed someone into the post
and your and your shoulders back in place. I mean,
how did she know she didn't make it worse or whatever.
She she doesn't know how to put something back in,
you know, so she'd be like, you know, I defended
your honor and you put me in a bad predicament.
I just sort of, you know, stayed out of it

(29:01):
and worried about myself. Instead I worried about you and
worried about you. It got me a separated shoulder and
embarrassed on a pla you know, Yeah, I don't know, Yeah, yeah,
I think Soria will turn heel. I mean he looks like.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
A hell yeah, and all of everything you just said
is what describes a heel. I always think they're right, byeah.
Moving on, is the NXC Women's Championship the main or
not the main event, but the main Women's Championship. You
have Jay c Jane versus Tatum Pasley And again this

(29:41):
is probably my second favorite match of the night. I
really did like this. I went in not really knowing
what to expect. I kind of assume they were going
to go one way, and then they won another and
I was very, very happy with the result. It's weird because,
like I looked up Tatum's past and literally her career,

(30:05):
her wrestling career started with WWE, like she was never
anywhere else. She wasn't with Evolver at least or with
any other like wrestling like school. Like she literally started
her wrestling career with WWE back in twenty twenty one.
That was when two point zero started. And it's crazy,
like it's crazy to think about that. But and you know,

(30:27):
jac I think has been around, you know, a little
bit longer. I think she actually did go to a
wrestling school, not not with WW But I like this match.
These two I thought worked well together. The crowd was
into it. I thought they got more into it maybe
in like the second half of the match, because in
the beginning it was a little slow, not not like

(30:48):
bad slow, but you know, they were trying to be
more methodical in the beginning, and of course you had
some you had like the teams interfering to where I
think I always forget her name of the what the
Laney read? Lady read there you go Laney Reid uh

(31:09):
jumps off the top rope and hits up both guys
and the calling and then uh Izzy ends up giving
her a big boot and then Fallon ends up taking
out Izzy. And then the referee points to the coaling
and he points to them individual and says, you're out
of here. And then he looks over at Fatal Influence
and goes, ladies you you out of here. So I

(31:31):
thought that was kind of funny where it's just like,
ladies you, you're out of here. So that kind of
set the tone as to what was going to happen
in the match, to which that got me even more
pumped up for it. And I think that's when the crowd.
I think that's when they started to win the crowd
back a little bit, or I guess when the crowd
started to wake up a little bit during that match,

(31:52):
And you know, it was it was kind of tense
a little bit because you weren't sure where it was
going to go. And I'm glad it went the way
it did. I will say, how I mentioned earlier that
I get the interference because I think it would have
been I think it would have been lazy, you know, booking,

(32:15):
if like they didn't get thrown out. And then there
was like a big schmause and then Izzy ends up
doing the same thing anyway. But I don't know, Like
I was a little mixed on it, but I get why,
like the teams ended up coming back anyway, and the
refs were trying to like break him apart. And then
Izzy comes in with the belt and she looks like
she's gonna hit Tatum, and then she goes after j C.

(32:37):
And then j C gives her like a big boot,
and uh, what's her name? Tatum goes for her. I
forget what her finisher is called. It's called grave something
and champions finish well, no, like she has a name
for her finish. It's called like the grave something.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
I don't know what the name of her finishers.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
But she pins her and the referees out there, and
first that kind of got me nervous. I'm like, oh, no,
you're gonna go with this finish And then he comes
in one, two, three, So Tatum is the new NXC
Women's Champion, which I was happy because I was thinking
my heart wanted Tatum, but my head was thinking, Okay,
they're going to keep it on Jaz. But then I'm

(33:19):
thinking about the show you, me and RJ did last
month where I don't know if it was either bred
it up or me or RJ, where it was just like,
who's JC gonna eventually drop this title to like who's
more believable in the role as someone who can beat
JAC And I think I remember I was having a
hard time thinking of names because it's like, Okay, could

(33:43):
it be Lola. Okay, it's not gonna be Lola, it
could it be Fallin. No, there's only nobody else on
the roster right now.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
I was like, I could see anybody doing it because
they can make anybody come up as a champion. So
I didn't haven't. I didn't. I didn't name any names
because I'm like, it could be anybody, right.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
But I'm happy it's Tatum because I think Tatum. You know,
It's it's one of those things where I mean, I
gotta be honest, where like this almost seems like it's
the same thing as JAC, where you know JC has
been around for a while that they're like, Okay, we're
gonna put the town on U see how it works,
and it worked like it worked out. She had a
pretty good title run and they actually made her seem

(34:26):
more serious. Tatum, I kind of hope is. But I
get the feeling that she's going to be a transitional champion.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
You know there's champion.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Well no, I think Hers is more of just like, hey,
we're going to give it to you because ABC and
D but we really want to give it to this person,
which yeah, I kind of just answered my question.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
But there's a transitional champion, any other champion. It's not
named Bruno Sammartino, Back, Bob Becklan, Hulk Hogan or Roman Reigns.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Well, I guess like I'm seeing it differently than you were.
It's just like I kind of hope Hers isn't just
like a one and done tittle rain where it's just
like as.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
It probably will be. The story, obviously is the ambiguity
of what was isz he Dane doing. But they have
time because they have Jordan Grace now messing with Klonie Jordan.
They have Last Legend and probably will be a short
program with Kendall Gray over the Evolved Championship, and they
don't really have any last, so I think they can.
I think that Tatum can have a nice little three

(35:30):
or four month reigned sort of j C. Jane until finally,
you know, something happens with her and is he Dane?
But it would have been so lazy to do. You know,
Tatum gets the trade out right by your friends again
and is the lonely loser with no one and then
what you're going to do terms of Stone Cold, Steve
Austin and the Fatal Influence. So here's the little secrets.

(35:52):
That Lany Reid was moved up to the main roster
like two months ago. It was the story leaked that
she was added to the main roster and then they
added her Fatal Influence, So that was the tell. I mean,
Ballin and jac had been ready for a long time
to be moved up, and they were working with Jasmine
who decided she wanted to do other things and now

(36:13):
who knows whatever, it's a shame, but Laney Reid they
put up with Laney Reed. That worked out well. And
I thought this match was great. I didn't think it
was overbooked. I think it was booked just enough, and
I think it protected the Fatal Influence brand which I
think is going to go straight to the main roster
and they're immediately going to make themselves known in the

(36:34):
women's tag team divisions as a threesome and terrific and great,
great for all of the men. Tatum well deserved. I
think I'm the only person on earth that predicted Tatum
Backsley was going to win tonight for all these reasons.
So praise me. Everyone worshiped me, and I thought it

(36:55):
was great, and this is my match of the night
because it was. I just to me, it was just
so much fun. Tatum wearing like the Jennifer's body costume.
I mean, you know or or you know some horror
you know, cheerleader with blood movie. I'm I'm gonna stick
with Jennifer's body. I'm not sure if that's really what
it was or not. I was wondering what the coloring
were all doing in white, because I knew there was
gonna be blood.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
It's a next I think it's it has to be
a horror thing of some kinds. I've seen it somewhere,
but it's that's it's either like an animated like like
an anime thing, or it's yeah, it's definitely a horror thing.
I'm I've just I've seen it before, an.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Think that's her because her her and a husband are
complete anime dorks.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
But yeah, beggin, I'm happy for Tatum because I've been
I've been on the Tatum train, you know, for the
past few years, like when they put it with Lyra
and she was able to get over as a character.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
You see all the tweets from women in all sorts
of companies and the indies all being excited for Tatum.
That's that tells you that you know what you need
and and and I bet the person that's happiest for
her is j C J.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Right, I mean, I mean, why wouldn't she be? I
mean because I mean, for anyone that doesn't know, we're
gonna let you in a little secret, everyone in shocking,
you know.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
But yeah, for the most part that there's there's a
lot of support there around the the industry. And the
reason I know that the PC is a good thing,
and the reason I know that the w W E
I D Program is a good thing is not because
a w W I don't even watch my roster. For
the most part is that the wrestlers are excited for

(38:42):
each other, and for themselves when it happens.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Yeah, exactly, and you like it's funny, like like you
just said, it's funny seeing everyone within the wrestling business,
whether it's the w W locker room or even the
AW locker room, every now and then will react to
something that happens on a w or NXC. You know,
whenever Javon made his like main roster debut against Sammy

(39:09):
or not debut, but like he had that match against Sammy,
you know, uh swore Strickland made a tweet where he
just said, you know, Javon Evans, you know, and that
was it. And again same thing with Tatum, Like I'm
almost positive like j C was just as happy to
lose as you know Tatum was to win.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
So people were thrilled with it. I mean, from Maggie Lee,
you know, from from Women on the Indies, Mara Shade
and to cut your car Jacks, and I mean just
like everyone across across the board, people on the main roster,
people on Evolve. What's her name, I can't believe, I
can't remember name. Her last name is Lenox and she's

(39:51):
from Baltimore, but she's indie wrestler, you know, and and
she's like Tatum and everyone's like, everyone's like, we love
or Tater talk. People are calling. I mean, they all
love her. It's just, you know, I'm waiting to see
what you know, the you know, the few women wrestlers.
I know, you know what they'll say, but I'm sure
they will as well, you know, like Shaza and her crew,

(40:14):
But I don't know. It's just uh, it's just nice
to say uh. And and also it's nice to be
the only person who was right. So because usually when
I overthink these things, I'm wrong and then it's just
the obvious answer. So so I'm gonna I'm gonna If
it sounds like I'm dunking and taking victory laps, i

(40:34):
am because usually when I do this much overthinking, and
I have, but I have the same kind of reasoning,
I usually end up being wrong. It's usually just the obvious.
Like nine out ten times, I'd be like, no, is
he gonna cost serotitle because she's jealous? I mean that
that's that's normal. That's normally what's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
So you'll be doing You'll be uh do You'll be
running in the streets of Baltimore celebrating this win.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Okay, it's Casey Lennox, that's her name, but that yeah,
that that's That's what I'm doing right now. Nice chasing me?

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Ah, Okay, be careful out there, all right. So moving on,
and this is when the rest of the show kind
of had a dip in quality somewhat. The next match
was a broken rules match for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
You have Dark State versus the Broken Hardy's who came

(41:24):
out to Matt Hardy's woke in music that said woken
on the screen, but we're referred to as the Broken
Hertys go figure. Kind of like what I just mentioned
earlier with that Day of the Dead match, where it's like,
do something interesting. At least have some that have more

(41:46):
more than just like one aesthetic to the match. In
this case, it's like I would have I would have
been fine if they did a Hardy compound match. That
would have at least been fun. This was is like
this was this is a fucking TLC match, except the
titles weren't hung up and it's just it's.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Just no disqualification Street five match. And it was with
the same weapons as the day I mean, they didn't
even give you stuff that's like from the Broken Universe,
or that they might be like Dark State. I mean,
at least have like, you know, fake laptop computers, you know,
if they're hackers or whatever. You know, dark State people,
the keV Larvass something that they would use batons, and
then like the Hardys, you know some of their wackadoodle stuff,

(42:29):
you know, you know, stuffed kangaroo, a fake sword, you know,
an air horn, something. Just this is something that says
broken and I can't believe they rebroke the thing for
them for them to lose. But I knew the gig
was up because I thought this was both for the
NXT and the TNA tag team titles, and once I

(42:50):
realized it wasn't, It's like it was a four on
two the whole match, which is fine because they're the
Heels and it's it's no DQ, but like the Hardys
have no friends like javan and Lee Leon Slander going like.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm like, why the
fuck aren't Javonna and Leon coming out? Don't they have
beef with Dark State too?

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (43:07):
They said to later, and I know that the Dudley's
left their boots in the ring. But that doesn't that
this isn't a match, Like, like, wouldn't it have been
awesome if they like came out and just like you know,
you know, hit two of the guys and put like
Sequon Sugars through a table, you know, even just even
up not to be in a match, but just to
just to pay homage their friends. I mean, I'm not

(43:28):
really a big Hardys guy, but this didn't make any
sense to me other than they just wanted the Hardies
to you know, get some for TNA, to get some
NXT gold, but they want to stay with NXC and
the excuses. That's four and two. I get it, but
I mean, but the rest of it I don't get.
I mean, the Hardy is like the most loved tag

(43:50):
team maybe ever no one in the locker room has
any interest in helping them in a no DQ match,
knowing from TNA is there to help them. I mean,
just this was just it was I mean, I don't
I don't hate Dark State. I sort of like Dark State.
And if you're going to establish the faction, they may
as well have goals. And if they have goals, they

(44:11):
need to achieve them. And if they lose the title,
it's good that they're going back to it and just
not moving on to something else. And then they get
it and now they're two time champions, but they still
feel more like Hank and Tank. Then then then the
established team. I don't I found this to be disappointing.
And when the Hardys are giving that kind of effort

(44:31):
at their age and their stage, I don't know. I
think I think it's more valuable to NXT to have
the Hardys with their champions, and they just could have
done a hundred things, like if they wanted to protect
Dark State, they could have had twelve guys from TNA
come out and help them, and even a couple of
guys from n XT help the Hardis because they love
the Hardys, including Javon and Leon Slater, who actually you know,

(44:54):
if you if Bubba Rat and Dudley don't want to
do a move or they didn't show up, you know
they do, they put one guy through the table and
they and then they remind the Hearties, we sort of
saved your butts out there, we saved your titles. We
called dibbs, you know that that kind of thing. But
I mean, I didn't hate the match. I thought it
was fine. I have to be honest. Most of this match,

(45:15):
for whatever reason, my peacock decided to switch to Spanish.
So I was fighting with the language thing to try
to get it back to English because I didn't switch it.
So so that was also annoying me at the time.
So maybe I'm hyper critical of this, but I you know,
I don't want to repeat myself, you know, but you know,
it was fine, but it sort of lost me. Was

(45:36):
I was a little bit bored because things that I
was expecting to happen that would make sense, none of
it happened.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Yeah, it's just again, I to me, dark stages, ain't it?
Like to me, they're not it. I the only guy
that seems like he has any somewhat like iota value
is Sugars, just based off of his personality and like
pro and like you know, talking everybody else. I just

(46:05):
you know, Lenox just really ain't it. Griffin is just
not good. Yeah. Cutler James, you know, for a while
was doing that thing where he was saying very ambiguously
sexual and maybe you know, you know, homo erotic kind
of things, but then he stopped doing it for some reason,

(46:29):
and now he's just another love.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
Stop and that it was stupid. I mean, you got
a caps on, We're going to be in your ass.
We're going to be up your ass. It's like a
shout out there.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
Yeah, but yeah, but it was funny, like it was
at least making him getting him over.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
It was funny once when you thought it was an accent,
and then it was funny a second time when you
realize it's not quite an accent, and then it just
got stupid.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
I don't know, it's I'm not big on on on
Dark State, but it's just like this match, it's like
you bring back the broken Hearty's and then you have
them lose to this group, and again I don't see it.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Dark State is very much in need of an actual leader.
Now it's too late now, but they like they would
benefit if they had a secret leader in the back,
if they were going to bring in Mustafa Aliback or whatever,
like he's the secret leader, or like a general Scandar
actbar or something, or Joseph Samuel who's a spoiler back
in MLW, but someone like that. Like for a while

(47:28):
I thought maybe Trick was going to be their secret leader.
Then I thought maybe it was going to be Stacks,
you know, as he was betraying the D'Angelo family. And
then of course I re fantasy booked the same thing,
except with Nico Krusafino, who's apparently in witness protection. You know,
but it's probably too late now, and I guess it
doesn't matter at this point. But no, I don't. I

(47:51):
sort of feel like the same with you. I mean,
on the whole, I think I like Dark State more
than you do. But when you divide them up, like
I'm not interested in in Saquon Shukars because he's just
a little guy. Yeah, he's got a little bit of
a personality. But if I was going to keep one,
I keep o Cyrus Griffin was always going to take
the six foot one, two sixty five guy over the

(48:12):
you know, the five foot ten, you know, one hundred
and ninety three pound.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Guy, right, But it's just like the big guy needs
to at least be good.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
He can be big, he just needs to be big
in the bruiser.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
I mean, he's yeah, but yeah, but yeah, but you
gotta hit your spots. At least he.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Hits the spots. I mean, it's it's hard to tell
on this match, because you got, first of all, two
forty eight year olds who are completely broken, and there's
four other bodies that are all over the place that
are basically rookies. So I mean, I didn't I didn't
see him stand out worse than anyone else in the match.
I mean, the only one who really looked like they
knew what they were doing was Jeff Hardy, which is

(48:54):
a minumerical in and of itself.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Yeah, I mean, and again is I love the heart ease,
I love Jeff more. I've always loved Jeff Moore. Like
you said, Jeff was seeming like he was the only
one actually doing something that more competent. My whole thing is,
I just I don't need to see Jeff doing any
more daredevil shit. He doesn't need to do that.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
Anything. That's all he does.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Yeah, yeah, but it's like the whole thing is like
Jeff is supposed to be sober, and anytime I see
him do that and hit and like fall in his back,
I'm just like I WinCE. I Like I WinCE more
than I ever did before with Jeff because it's like
I I hate to be overly dramatic. It's just like
I think about his kids.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
I'm just like overly dramatic in people's lives. Listen, this
whole thing was worthwhile for the vignette with the kids
doing to lead, the lead, the lead and rebby, and
the body said, good.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
God, yeah, Matt needs more kids apparently, But I didn't
care for this match. And you know it's again.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
They are a good Christian folk from the Bible Belt.
They got to make more you know, semi white kids,
good semi white kids.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
I know, I would have preferred this was like a
hardy compound match, but you know, they did what they
did for a reason.

Speaker 2 (50:16):
Or in the desert, you know, there was like rattlesnakes
and coyotes and are and a blood moon and then
all of a sudden, you see three moons when it's
supposed to be one, the bat turns into a skin walker.
I mean, they could have done all sorts of things.
They were fun and ridiculous. It's Halloween, you know, But no,
they decided to keep it all in the arena and
then not make another cinematic movie, or you know whatever,

(50:40):
whatever the decision was. I agree one hundred percent with
you on that. I would rather have seen, you know,
a cinematic you know, type of fight. But we got
what we got. I didn't love it. I didn't hate it,
you know, it is what it is like. I only
had room for hate for one match, and that was

(51:01):
the opening match. But this one like on a scale
of one to ten, I would, you know, put this
like out of four.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
And now we're on to the main event, which was
for the NXC Championship Men's you have the champion, Ricky
Saints versus Trick Williams. I'll be honest, I didn't really
care about the snatch. I and I I like Ricky,
sayints more than you chrick Williams, I do like. But
this match was very predictable. And we've said on this

(51:32):
show countless times there's good predictable and then there's bad predictable.
This was neither. This was just in the middle. This
was just middle predictable because you already knew who was
gonna win, You already knew where this was going, and
I just my interest in this match was, like, it's
not a terrible match by any means, it's just it's
very generic because you knew, you knew where it was

(51:55):
going because Trick is going to the main roster when
that happens, it should probably be sooner than later, especially
with all the injuries going on and Ricky. I do
like Ricky, but I'll admit I'm not always jazz about
his matches. I find myself more interesting in the women's

(52:15):
division and a lot of the mid card matches as
opposed to, you know, the main event scene. And whenever
the women's division, oh god, whenever, whenever Oba and Trick
you know, leave to go to the main roster, that's
going to leave a big hole in that main division
for the men's So they're going to figure some shit out.

(52:38):
But again, I got really nothing else to say about
this match other than it wasn't really a terrible wrestling
match quote unquote. It was just it was a wrestling match,
but it wasn't like anything overly exciting or memorable, if
that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
But what do you think for a main event that
didn't feel like a main event? And I also agree
with you that the ending was predictable, which made it
seem like a drag. There's no universe where you can
convince me that Ricky Saints is a better wrestler, better character,
or more interesting. Or it could be Trick Williams. I'm

(53:19):
more inclined to believe that Daniel Briant could be brock
Lessner than I am to believe that Ricky Saints can be.
Ricky Saints has punched. He punches like a girl. He's
not strong enough to do his finisher on most of
the wrestlers. He can't do the Roe Schambeau because he's
not strong enough to lift these guys. He won with
a tornado DDT that that is Orange Cassidy's transition move.

(53:42):
His spear is okay. I mean, it's fine, it's it's
hardly the It's better than jay USO's, but everyone's is
better than jay us His mind spear is better than
jay USO's. I mean I routinely made jokes with with
Lufiso and and pretty much any show mom where anybody
whould did the spear, I add them to the the
list of people whose spears are better than jay Us.

Speaker 1 (54:02):
So, so.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
You know, Ricky got some color. I hate to say this,
but I was hoping that he was. That he was
sort of concustom and couldn't really continue, so they would
have to keep the belt on trick I know he's
going up to the main roster. I know, that's just
what I just said is a terrible thing to say.
I just I find Ricky sense so unconvincing. I find
him to be just someone who's cosplaying. Maybe I was

(54:27):
scarred from the days when I was in the Solid
Monster Sounds Off and that entire group, including Jason, would
tell me that.

Speaker 3 (54:33):
Ricky Starks and Sammy Gevora and Daniel Garcia and Lee
Moriarty are future world champions and wheel of Youda. I'm like,
not a single one of them. They all stink or
they're too small or both. And so maybe I'm still
married to me. And then I liked Ricky saying Ricky Starks.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
In NWA that one year, but everything was fresh and
different and you know interesting. Then I liked him sort
of in tag team with Brian Cage. I liked him
in the tag team with Big Bill quite a bit.
So I think he's a good tag team wrestler with
a heater carry brand. He just he just feels like
he's faking it last week, whatever he's wearing, I don't know.

(55:16):
I felt like he was like trying to model, you know,
get a billboard shot on, you know, in South Beach
Miami not not confronting world champion on wrestling show.

Speaker 1 (55:27):
I I don't know.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Yeah, I thought this match was boring to be to
be honest with you, and Trick Trick is a star.
Ricky Saints is like to me, just screams minor league.

Speaker 1 (55:46):
So Cleric a Chaos is in the YouTube chat, so
shout out to Cleric. He's saying. He's saying dragon Off
is better than Ricky. I agree. I think dragon Off.
It's funny because Dragonoff is another smaller guy, but dragon
Off is more believable, Like you can put.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
Dragon Off his bill, Like Ricky Saints has pretty muscles
like he look he's like got muscles like a model.
Draggon Off. You can just tell. He's like one of
those guys who's just really strong. He's like bizarre strong
and he he he moves like a tank like but
he's a tank with speed. He throws himself around like
a cannon ball. He's he's like a human wrecking machine,
like like he's an action figure. Ricky Saints looks like

(56:24):
he's like I said, he looks like he's a model.
That does carls.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
No. I agree, Like you know, dragon Off can work
with anyone, literally anyone, and it looks legit. You know.
A threll Ax is also in our YouTube channel's up?
What's up? A threat Axe? He's also in the discord channel.
But you know he had that one match with with
what you mccally What the fuck is his name? Oh god,

(56:54):
you're talking about uh, I'm talking about draggon Off. He
had a match against who was the dude that was
in He's He's in MLW right now. He's in a
tag team with Baron Corbin. What's his name? I check,
guy check? There you go. He had like a really
good match with Die Jack a few years ago. It
was like a last man standing match and I thought

(57:16):
that was, you know, really fucking good. Yeah, and you
had two guys that were like different sizes, but it
looked believable. So yeah, like Ricky Saints again, I do
like Ricky Saints, but like I, I do agree with
you on pretty much everything you said. Like he he's
a good hand, but he's not someone that's gonna sell
you tickets. You know. He's like I'm gonna compare him

(57:41):
to an actor. He's like Joseph Gordon Levitt, where very
good actor, But is he if you put him on
a fuck on a movie poster? Is he gonna sell tickets? No?

Speaker 2 (57:54):
Right? And those few movies where they made him an
action star, did it really work?

Speaker 1 (57:59):
No? You know, at the end of Dark Knight Rises,
when you know it was revealed that he was Robin
quote unquote, it's like, oh, we get to have a
Robin movie with Joseph Gordon Levin. It's like, yeah, no,
that's that wouldn't work, you know, as much as I no,
I mean, it didn't happen. But yeah, yeah, obviously you

(58:19):
know that's why Christian Bales Batman or was Batman. But
but yeah, uh, as far as the rest of the show,
you know, I guess we can give our letter grades
or letter grades, number grades. I really did like Halloween Havoc.
I thought it was a really good show with a
few hiccups. I would say I would say a ten

(58:42):
strong B.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
I don't consider eight at ten to be a strong B,
like I see that as a B minus. I'm gonna
go a little bit. I'm gonna go lower. I'm gonna
say C C plus. You know, maybe seven, seven and
a half out of ten. I mean, I mostly enjoyed it,
but I was Also, I was sort of done at
the end, and I really didn't like I didn't like

(59:06):
the book ends. It didn't start me happy, and I
wanted to be happy and I didn't and I ended boared.
So but in the middle there was some really good stuff.
But you know, the if the beginning isn't great and
the end isn't great, I can't call it a great show.
I mean, I you know, if I would say six

(59:27):
and a half out of ten on that of ten,
it's just I can't see myself to give in it
a D, which is sixty five is a D, and
so can't I can't quite go there. But I could
say seven or seven and a half, like seven, seven
out of seven and a half. Yeah, So anyway, no
real need to prevaricate over that. This is not like

(59:47):
this is going on my permanent record or anyone's permanent record.
But I just thought was okay, I mean for Halloween,
haff I could have done Actually, you know what, I'm
going to go with the with the seven with the
C minus because just for the lack of this, how
far good the Dia de Lamertees stay of the dead
match was lack of creativity with with the accoutrement. I
mean that it's unforgivable. Why bother with the theme match?

Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
You know what, You're right, You're You've made me think
about some shit. I'm gonna I'll drop it too. A
seven and a half, seven and a half out of
ten and that, I mean, that was my favorite match
of the night. But you know, my complaints earlier was
just like you could have at least been more creative,
Like you really could have been more creative. So that

(01:00:33):
definitely subtracts some points. But yeah, the middle, the middle
of the show was the best stuff. Everything else, the beginning,
the main I guess the comine was just.

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Orfoor, We're really good?

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
Oh yeah, well yeah, Match two, three, four, Yeah, those
are that. That was the best shit of the night.
Everything else beginning and also ending was no no bueno.
I'll leave it that. I'll pretty much leave it with that.
But yeah, my match of the night, Yeah, I just
said it. You know, Ethan Page and Doctor Wagner. I

(01:01:11):
thought that was great. That was some good shit and
least favorite I I'm gonna say the Hardys match. I
just I didn't, you know what I'm gonna say, the
main I really didn't really care for the match because
at least the Hardy's match, it at least had some

(01:01:33):
cool spots in it. At least the finish of the
match was kind of cool with with them doing the
doomsday device for the wind, and you know, there's some
cool spots. The main was just very dry, like it
was just it was like eating wheat toast dry. And
I like wheat toast, but with my eggs so I

(01:01:54):
can dip them in the yolk. Wheat toast by itself
with just nothing else is just not enjoyable. But to
me anyways, But what about you? The favorite least favorite match.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
The favorite match was the women's title match Tatum Pasley
with the win. I think it sort of shocked the
world even though I made the prediction. I think I
posted that a ninety seven wrong the match. I mean,
I only said I hated one match, So that's gonna
be my least favorite match. If you're gonna do the
silly stuff, if you're gonna have a silly basically comedy match,

(01:02:31):
at least everything has to hit, I mean, and I
think the the the epitome of this match was when
Slater and Evans were on the outside and Iesca was
on the outside and mister Iguana was coming out to
do a dive onto them, and the spot was they
were gonna throw Ieska to him and he's supposed to
catch and like you know, and then land on them

(01:02:54):
with Iseska in his mouth, and he dropped Iesca like
you know that fumble. That was like the metaphor or
the example of the match in a microcosm right there.
Nothing worked in this match. There were a couple of
comedy spots. Yes, the crowd likes to cheer for mister Iguana,
and they like to see La Parka dance, and you know,

(01:03:18):
it's funny to see a skeleton the dance. I agree,
And you know, and Javan and Leon Slater are both
spectacular and they do moves it almost nobody else does,
especially together. But somehow when you've got two of them
doing it, it sort of cancels each other out a
little bit, and they this match was completely out of sync,

(01:03:40):
and so the silliness, instead of being funnies quickly went
from funny to just this kind of sucks. So that's
my least favorite match of the night. And again, Tatum
Packsy can't say it enough. Kudos to j C Jane
and every into incarnation of toxic attraction and fatal influence.
Just a wonderful run for her and everyone the Tatum

(01:04:04):
was with. She she made Lyra of Valkeyria interesting. I mean, Jesus,
I mean the nobody has been able to do that
before or since, and I don't think anyone ever will.
So uh yeah, that's it a bit of an underwhelming show.
I expected more in terms of surprises and fun and

(01:04:28):
spooky stuff. I mean, the show really misses having like
a Shatsi or you know, or a g Dolan type
on there to do. I'm mean, the closest Tatum Paxi,
but she couldn't be the you know, the MC because
she's in the main events. Could have They really could
have used somebody with some spooky personality here, like even

(01:04:49):
if they borrowed Rosemary from TNA and had her be
the MC.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Yeah, because like the past few years, like this was easy.
Shotsis thing like she'd be the host even if she
wasn't wrestling on the show. And yeah, like she legit
seemed like she was into it because you know, Shatsi's
whole thing is she loves Halloween like she no I know,
I know, no, I know, but like you know, you know,

(01:05:15):
every every October season she'll post like videos on Instagram
and she's like, you know, mandatory horror movie night. And yeah,
I did see the clip earlier where I don't know
what show it was, but she came out dressed as
the Brider Frankenstein and she had I guess, what looked
like a chainsaw, but it wasn't really a chainsaw. Yeah.
I love shots I've always I still love Shatzi. I'm

(01:05:39):
happy for her. I'm definitely happy for her that she's
you know, it seems like she's doing much better outside
of WWE. And she was always someone that I was
always very high on that. I was always surprised why
she couldn't be a bigger name than she you know,
was treated like I thought she could have been more arketable,

(01:06:00):
kind of like Alida in some aspects. But you know,
it's just me. But good for Shotzi. But that nears
the end of the show. Yeah, I want to thank
Jeff for coming on and doing these NXT shows with me,
So thank you, Jeff. The next NXT show will be

(01:06:21):
actually in San Antonio. It's going to be a deadline.
I'm not sure if I'm going. I'm going to try
to go, but if the tickets are the equivalent of
fucking three car payments, then I'm more than likely not going.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
So at the moment, seats with thirty two dollars, it's
just the lower deck seats, which are high because I
posted something, well, they shouldn't price it like an NFL game.
I mean, I don't know what the attendance ended up
being with walk up and all that good stuff, but
they it seemed like they were only sold like two thirds,
you know, at some point it was like about twenty
five hundred tickets sold out of about four thousand, and

(01:06:58):
you know, and I know that the like the bottom
row was like, you know, three hundred and thirty dollars
to four hundred dollars, but apparently they were seats for
thirty two bucks, you know. And then it's not that
big a venue. So I mean, I I you know,
if if I was there and it was it was
thirty two dollars, I you know, i'd spring for them.

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
Okay, I'm not even sure where it's at. I know
it's in San Antonio, but I don't know which which
building it's at.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
It's like four bills.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Well, no, I don't know what venue it's at. That's
the thing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
I mean, there's the Alamo and the Alamo Dome and
two banks and that's it and then just cactuses.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
No, no, I don't know what venue like in San
Antonio it's at.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
And I know there's all the four buildings in San Antonio.

Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
Oh okay, here, it's at the Boeing Center at tech Port.
So that's that's that's a new building. Actually that was.

Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Where it's five buildings.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Wow, that was where the TNA pay per view in
San Antonio was at.

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
That's good. I went to Emergence, So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
I if they're sold out, then for Probby's reasons, I
can't go. But like I mean, I'm fine with taking
like balcony seats, especially if it's like a smaller building,
then that's really no biggie. And to be honest, we
usually do just do like the balcony nosebleed seats because
those are easier saying front row like, in my opinion,
isn't all as cracked up as it as people think

(01:08:18):
it is because you can't really see that well. But
I don't know if again, if I'm able to go,
I'll go. But at the moment, the next show is
kind of up in the air, but I'll definitely keep
you updated if we do end up going here, don't go,
but all right, So yeah, pluggy plugs, Twitter, x d

(01:08:40):
y Experience, Instagram, same thing, TikTok, same thing, YouTube channel
of course subscribe. Currently at one sixty nine, I do
have a I opened up a supporters club thing on Spreaker.
It's not really mandatory to sign up. It's just three

(01:09:00):
bucks a month, so it's basically one of those things
of like, you know, if you sign up, it helps
the show out in any way possible. And I've also
been toying around with the idea of posting some extra
content on there, maybe doing some movie reviews. I don't know,
we'll see, or just adding like some after show or
pre show stuff that we usually do on here where
we just talk off the cuff but we don't really

(01:09:22):
post it. But yeah, it's just it's just three bucks
a month. It's no biggie, oh what else? What else?
What else? And then friendly neighborhood marks with me and
r J will be hopefully we'll be doing a show
next week and a culture attack with me and Rubin
and Cleric is saying you should have done that years ago.

(01:09:47):
And oh tomorrow tomorrow, Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll be debuting a
new show with my friend Anthony, and it's gonna be
a basketball podcast, so not a wrestling podcast. It's going
to be a basketball podcast and debut tomorrow. We're not
gonna be live, so it's gonna be a pre record.

(01:10:07):
But if there's any basketball fans on here, NBA fans,
look for that to drop. I have a name. It's
gonna be metal Metal street Hoops or metal drive hoops.
It's a take on the neighborhood we grew up in.
So look for that to drop people. And yeah, that's
about it, Jeff, go ahead and plug yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
I mean on the x at Dose Underscore Evil. Just so.
My podcasts are called Garden of Thought. They basically come
in three different flavors. The one I dropped today was
on King Solomon with a Ishiva Zohar Kabbala trained not

(01:10:53):
quite rabbi about the best Hasidic drew Orthodox drew and
talk about a lot of things. Barely got to Solomon
and the Demons, but a lot of interesting stuff from
the hasidic sort of mystical side of things. I dropped
a show. It was actually a solo show where I

(01:11:13):
interviewed Ricky rey Is from Ring of Honor and Luke
Underground and stuff. Actually he's pretty good friends with see
him Punk. They were roommates for a while and stuff
like that. And I think Monday, I'm dropping a show
Gospel of Thomas, where it's me and mister Thomas talking
to our first reigning world champion MLW Heavyweight champion, Mad's

(01:11:33):
Cruel Krueger was on the show, and that went great,
really funny, I promise you, and Mad Krueger, unlike Thomas,
is a fan of good science fiction, and he loved
Alien Earth. He loved it so much he already watched
it twice through. And he's going to join me on

(01:11:54):
Guarder Thought in the future and we're going to review
Alien Earth. So so that's a a lot of fun. Yeah,
And then there's the third version, which is a little
bit more business law and real politique based. And I
think I'll drop any of this, okay, So it depends
what happens with three I Atlas whether or not I
drop a show that's more aligned towards that, I just

(01:12:17):
drop a like a more of a legal show. I
talked to a Marilyn attorney who was a major league
baseball agent for many years, so I've had an NFL
agent on and a major League Baseball agent now. So
that's so I try to get things that are of
general interest. Things I do on soup, I do the
LFG review show with LuFisto. If there's a demand, then request, Well,

(01:12:42):
there's talk of she and I doing another show on
the Soup or we may have just wait until LFG
season three. If there's not on the wrestling Soup and
Friendos Feed, I do Those of Chocolate, which is the
Evolve review show. And tomorrow, at some point, probably night,
I'm gonna record on Marie shadows Squared Circle podcast a

(01:13:02):
review of MLW's I think their Own Deo Still a
Wuertes show, which is was the TV taping portion of
Slaughterhouse from a month ago in California, So we'll do that.
I always review MLW shows with Marie Shadows on her,
so shout out to her. That's probably it. I don't know.

(01:13:24):
I'm sure I'm forgetting something or other, but you know,
don't worry if you follow me on the X and
and just subscribe to Garden, I thought you'll get her
hear about everything. Hey, listen, just subscribe and if you
don't want to listen, just hit you know, get it
on Apple and hit Marcus played. I mean, I would
prefer you listen, but you know, as well as you
say you did, I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
I don't really care, all right, man, Yeah, you definitely.
You definitely are the busiest man in podcast and Jeff.

Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
Well, I think that I am. I mean this, people
do podcasts every day and tomorrow recording with the cleric
who's in there, who's actually stepping in as a my
regular guest sort of well by Scot guess not regular cancel,
but the cleric stepped in and he's an expert on
certain areas that that I think it's going to be
a very interesting show. And I'll be very HALLOWEENI and

(01:14:11):
you know, I consider the entire time until Christmas to
be u a spooky season.

Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
Yeah, Halloween is going to be next Friday, so it's
already coming up. I've kind of been dropping the ball because,
like usually I go out of my way to try
to watch as many as many horror movies as I can.
I haven't really been doing a lot of it. I
don't know why, but trying to trying to keep it up.

Speaker 2 (01:14:36):
I know, I know, podcast a week and apparently taking viagraph.

Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
A few of those things are true. But I understand
that you like Weapons, which I'm happy to hear that
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
I thought it was rather a shordinar.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
Did you like Did you like Barbarian?

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:14:56):
Okay, yeah, same guy as Zach Craigor. I'm a big
fan of work. He's one of those directors where I
thoroughly I look forward to enjoying what he's going to
do next. And he also writes his own stuff, so
every everything he does is litter, is done by him,
nobody else. And he's supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
Doing the Barbarian more. But I think Weapons was a
better movie.

Speaker 1 (01:15:21):
I agreed, agreed. He's doing a resident evil movie next,
which he's actually writing and directing on his own, so
I'm very much intrigued to see how that goes. And then, uh,
I mentioned to you before about Black Phone two, So

(01:15:41):
anyone that isn't familiar, So me and Jeff used to
do a show back when I had a pain.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
Anyone else think he's cutting out, I don't hear him.

Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
Or a prequel, am I I'm cutting up?

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Yeah, you were, well, I don't know. I didn't hear you.
I can't speak to the listeners.

Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
Experience, all right, anyone can, can You can y'all hear me?

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Now I can?

Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
Okay? All right, So basically anyone that doesn't know without
spoiling anything. Me and Jeff, we'd both like the first
Black Phone, and we were just kind of theorizing as
to what they can do for like a prequel or
a sequel, and they word for words, scene for scene
verbatim did that in the sequel, and yes, says and

(01:16:44):
I just, well, cleric, I kind of I very much
disagree with you. I thought Ethan Hawk, Ethan Hawk in
the first movie I thought was really good, and Ethan
Hawkins Sinister I thought was great. Ethan Hawk in this
one I had issues with. I thought he kind of
I got the impression that anyone could have played that

(01:17:05):
role in the movie. But anyways, I just I thought
that was pretty cool that they I don't say, I
don't want to say they sole our idea, but you.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Know, O they did.

Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
Blumhouse Olds are some money they're listening. But anyways, uh,
we're gonna we're gonna end it right there. Thank you
all everyone that listening. Uh, thank one. Thank you to
everyone in the discord as well as the YouTube chat
Cleric A Chaos and f Etherolics.

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
I'm trying to I'm sure it's ether Alex.

Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
All right, I'm trying to see your name, right, dude.
But thank y'all, and uh, we'll or I'll see you
next Wednesday for the experience. And uh, like I said,
any basketball fans look out for uh uh.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
This is wrestling. We don't like sports.

Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
Yeah, I know, but I just I like to. I'm
a promoder, like you said, I have seven podcasts and
I take Vagra but which I don't know why I
take Viagar if I do seven podcasts. But nice. Al
right people, Uh, we'll see y'all next week. Peace out,

(01:18:18):
Ali
