Speaker 1 (00:05):
John, not right bad, you don't want you want to
(00:28):
raymard Rain, Guy, We are Guy John?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
All right, people, Welcome, Welcome, we are live on YouTube,
and welcome to the n XT Deadline p l E
post show, the last n x T p l EAR
the year and certainly not the last one or the
last p l O the year, but just the last
NXT one. But welcome to the show people. I am
Drew and joining me, like he always does on these
(00:57):
NXC shows.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Is evil dose or dose evil? Just depends which side
of the mirror you're.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
On, Yes, sir, Yes, sir. And how are you, Jeff?
How you been?
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I've been okay. You know me, I always have ten
to twelve projects going in the air, and none are
particularly productive, but you know they're they're all moving. There's
there's things always.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Moving, Anything new going on, anything gearing gearing up for
the holidays.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yeah, I mean there's there's stuff new going on, but
a couple of things I definitely can't talk about that
hopefully will be apparent in the coming weeks or months.
But yeah, no, just yeah, you know, I crank out
the shows. I try to book the shows the I have.
(01:48):
I have two wrestlers. Yes for the Gospel of Thomas.
But I but Thomas is unavailable again, mister grumpy, So
now I've got to find a co host. It's but
it's like PJ may crawl out of retirement to come
back to the Book of Black though he's going to
Vietnam per week. I haven't gone around to asking for
(02:10):
what yet, and I've got a couple of other feelers. Now, Kwan,
I'd be able to do the cover the fifteenth, but
help whom know by Monday or Tuesday when he gets home,
because he's really been wrapping up his indie bookings, especially
(02:31):
tag teaming with gay Gabe Sky. I'll playing a couple
of other inquiries out and who knows, maybe outlanda with
with or people saying yes to guests, hosting for only
two guests, and it won't be that way anyway. That's
some of what I've been dealing with is logistics and
trying to be patient and some other stuff as well.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
And you're certainly the busiest man in podcasting.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
I guess no, I mean not really.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
You may really be able to say that coming soon.
And I think if you take all of my podcasts together,
as like an aggregate listenership of like you know, fourteen people, so.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
You like you like the Pedro Pascal podcasting, except you're sexier.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I don't know he was. He was pretty charming and
the materialists.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
So I haven't seen that. I haven't seen Eddington. I
already heard mixed things about that.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I saw it.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Oh, well, I can I have a feeling. But what
do you think about it?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Well, I've heard people say that you love it or
you hate it, and then there's nothing in between. Well,
ding ding ding, I'm the one that's in between. There
are parts of it that I liked, and there are
parts of it that I really liked, but then it
sort of got absurd, and then it got an absurd
or and it continued to get absurd. I mean, I
sort of get the message, but the message is almost
like abandoned all hope you're all doomed kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
But so.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
It's not I don't know, it's it's very much a
dark humor movie, but there's also a lot of not
a lot, but when there is gore and violence, it's
very graphic, which I think, like, I think that the theme
of the movie would appeal to, like, well, my age
to my parents age. But I think that people my
age to my parents' age don't wouldn't appreciate, like people
(04:28):
gain shot in the head and things like that. So
I don't think there was really I knew who their
audience was because it's not really a young person's movie.
A materialist was fine. I mean, you could happily go
your entire life without watching it, but it was. But
it doesn't hurt to watch it either. It's just it's
(04:48):
by the time you realize that the coda Johnson still
can't act. It's three quarters into the movie and you
thought that she was actually acting this time, that the
coda Johnson of course, of the fame of the only
woman who could make a bondage sex movie boring.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
So yeah, yeah, like I I want to watch it. Eddington.
It's like one of those things of like it's I'm
out of like it's like morbid curiosity. There's still a
lot of movies I haven't watched it that I want
to watch before the end of the year, and obviously
if I don't watch them that I just won't watch them.
(05:25):
But Eddington's right up there. But yeah, that's kind of
what I heard, is that the big theme of it
is obviously COVID, and like I think for a lot
of people, that's kind of what is making them either
divisive or or they hate it.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
You know, it's something that was the big theme. I
think that was the plot accelerant. I mean it's definitely
set during COVID. I mean, I just that was the mood.
But I don't know, but I will give a surprisingly
positive for you today. I watched Nobody Too. I remember
watching Nobody and I think that I liked it, but
(06:00):
I don't remember a thing about it. Nobody Too. It's
not a smart movie. It's not a movie that makes
any sense. But it's a fun movie. It's it's sort
of like if die Hard, john Wick and Home Alone
sort of came together. So it's, uh, it's about it.
(06:20):
It's fun. It's it's a fun movie. The some good
action and some wacky hyjenks. It's not much of a plot.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
I saw that I liked. I liked the first Noboddy,
I really liked it a lot. The second one I
thought was fun. I didn't like it. I didn't like
as much as the first one. But yeah, I like
both movies. I like I like Bob Odenkirk. I mean, yeah,
you're the one that got me into Better Call Saul,
I am, but for me, yeah, it's it's weird because
(06:52):
we both are on two different sides of the spectrum
when it comes to movies. But you surprisingly got me
into a lot of shows. I mean a Better Call Saw.
He got me into Atlanta, which is weird because like
Atlanta is about three, you know, young black men, and
it's like, where did I get this show recommendation from?
Oh my Jewish friend Jeff like that, it's just kind
(07:15):
of funny.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
But no, I'm a people.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I'm sorry what I.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Mean, I am the I am the Owen Hart of
the Blue Fight Club that right.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
But now he's like, yeah, you've got me some pretty
good shows, and I thank you for that because I
fucking love the Ship of Atlanta and I Better Call Saul.
Dare I say, I think it. I think it's better
than breaking Bed in my opinion, I don't even I don't.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Even want to cut that kind of pressure on the show.
But I think that as far as a prequel being
done after a prime show and perfectly melding into each other,
I don't. I don't know that DA can ever be repeated.
The only thing that even comes close is Kaprika to
Baylon to Battlestar Galactica. And not everyone likes Baalistclectica, and
(08:00):
even a fewer people like Caprica.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
So right, but it's good that we're talking about TV shows.
We haven't done that in a while since our Patreon days.
But let's talk about some wrestling. So, like I mentioned,
tonight was NXC Deadline, which was here in San Antonio,
my hometown. Obviously I didn't go. I would have wanted
(08:24):
to go, but then we couldn't do the show, and
also the tickets were expensive as ship so that's another
common Yeah, and we're all gonna be here in March,
which you know again TKO. But NXC Deadline, let's start.
(08:45):
Let's started it. The first match was for the NXT Championship.
It was Obafemi versus Ricky Saints, with the winner or
there's a stipulation announced on SmackDown the previous night, well
last night, which was the winner of this match will
face the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's main event,
(09:07):
which is next Saturday. So yeah, op, WITHEMI Ricky Saints,
I really I gotta say I really did like this match.
I thought it was better than their last match. The
San Antonio crowd, I'm not just saying this because you know,
I live here, but they really made the show like
they were really hyped up. And you know, the thing
I'll say about my city is that we don't get
(09:30):
a lot here. I mean, obviously we have the Spurs,
but like as far as entertainment goes, we don't really
get too much entertainment. And when we do, we're appreciative
as hell for it. And you know, you could tell
with the crowd they were reacting to a lot of things.
They weren't. They weren't just sitting on their hands, you know,
like San Diego was for war games. But granted they
(09:51):
were in an outdoor arena, but still, but uh yeah,
this this was a really good match, really good back
and forth action. And I'll be honest, like I I wasn't.
I was kind of predicting it was gonna go one
way and then it went the other, and I was
still pleasantly surprised with obviously, you know, Oba winning the
title back, which to me, I think it was the
(10:11):
right decision because I think with Oba, he still has
unfinished business, you know. In NXC, Ricky I think is
going to the main roster. There's also talk of him
maybe being involved in that angle that happened at Survivor Series,
which I'm not sure how I feel about it, but
(10:32):
you know, I wouldn't hate it, but I wouldn't love it.
I'm just kind of like in between, but is okay.
So for anyone that doesn't know Survivor series war games,
or if you don't know, if you don't care, or whatever,
but Survivor Series war Games, at towards the end of
the match, a masked figure uh interfered in the match,
(10:54):
which which is kind of a stupid angle, and curbs
Don Punk, which I ended with brun Breaker pinning Punk.
And that's how they're saying it's awesome theory, which the
build I guess built built it is a theory. Yeah, no, no, no, no,
I'm I'm it's more than likely going to be awesome
(11:16):
theory because it wouldn't make sense for it to be
Ricky Starks, mainly because Ricky Starks isn't that built, So
it's gonna it's gonna be Saints Starks. Saints, you know, Tomato,
Tomato but uh yeah, it's it's more than likely gonna
be awesome theory. I wouldn't hate it if it was
maybe a Ricky Starks or Nathan Page, but it's gonna
(11:36):
be awesome theory just based off the build of Whoe Are.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
That I would absolutely hate it, mostly because I don't
watch the main roster. I didn't watch it ever series,
so I don't so I don't know any of that stuff.
So I would hate it because even Page is fantastic
and he's in the running for Wrestler of the Year
or at least Male Wrestler of the Year. I don't
care if it's Turkey Saints because I find them to
be completely underwell and so I'm thrilled that he lost
(12:02):
because Oba is a star, and to me, Ricky Saints
is very mid and he's undersized and overhyped and really
always has been. I know, you want to know he
loves anything. Yeah, you know, everybody does. I mean, you
know they hear from one hundred and twenty wrestlers on
Exiday who love it and will do anything for this business. Okay,
(12:23):
terrific Anyway, Yeah, I thought, I actually thought. I agree
that I think this match was better than the first
I thought the first half of the match, to be
frank was pretty damn boring, but once when once it
got going, it was good. And Oba winning is that
I think it's like I said, that guy is a star.
He will be a star for at least a decade
if you can stay healthy, you know, possibly longer. Ricky Saints.
(12:48):
It's a star to like thirty two percent of the
people in the IWC, but to everyone else, he just
looks like a small little guy. It's finally my wife,
who's Latina, and doesn't you know, really schlow wrestling. She
walked by and she goes, she was that man is
too big, the black guy, and so obviously she didn't
think that Ricky was black.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
So yeah, I get you.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
She thought she thought he was a kinsman. She thought
he was a Latina or a Latino. But anyway, uh,
that's neither hear him anyway, Oba one great moment, very
excited about it. Oba looks fantastic. Ricky. He's looking down,
they're shaking hands. So you know, if they want to
elevate Ricky to the main roster, whatever, who cares. It's
(13:35):
like he's he doesn't change anything. But if Proxium and
d Y and the MotorCity machine Guns and Pete Dunn
and Tyler Bate and and folks like that or any
disha ww. Fans don't pay to see undersized people. They
(13:57):
pay to see people who are giants, even from the
top rows, especially when they're paying like eight hundred dollars
from the top rows to see it, unless somebody's already
established like a legend. Unlike what nickkon Raymonsteria was not
nothing before I got to w W it was. It was.
He was a star before I even see him. I agree, Yeah,
(14:18):
so uh anyway about that. But it was a good match,
fun match, Oba one, a little bit of a little
bit of a surprise even though I picked them missed. Yeah,
my picks are no better than anything else, and so thrilled.
I'm a big I'm a big Oba family guy.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I Also, I also think, like midway during because I
picked Ricky on Wednesday, but we're always watching the match.
I'm like, you know, Oba versus Cody would look better
on television in front of a bigger crowd. And also
Oba looks like a star, like like this motherfucker you know,
(14:57):
and you know you and me and R j when
we did. I think Halloween havoc. I believe was it
Halloween havoc or I think it might have been Halloween havoc.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
We had three We've had three nfcpol's in the short
amount of time, but I think it was Halloween.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Havoc where, you know, And I put up a reel
on a social media where the discussion was Oba Femi
and it's like, this is a dude you can't fuck
up on, Like, this is a guy you need to
make it look like a million not even a million bucks,
you know, a billion bucks. Like this guy is the future,
he's money, so you can't you can't mess you can't
(15:30):
mess up on him. So like him and Cody on
a big stage like Saturn Night's main event. And also,
you know, with the whole scene of thing, like I said,
I said on Twitter, I'm more hyped about seeing Oba
Russell Cody than Sena's last match. To be honest, No,
(15:51):
I don't this whole scene.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
This whole last year I was seeing A has been
so weird and wacky, and and everyone the reasons why
and what happened, and everyone's talking. I mean, but about
three or four months ago I'm just like, I don't
care who his last match is with. At this point.
The only thing that would be historic is if his
last match was against Tanahashi and it was his last
(16:15):
match too. Other than that, it really doesn't matter. I mean,
it might be ten years when they have gone to
retire ten more people, you know, and then you know,
during his Hall of Fame ceremony to talk about I
was the longest reigning Intercontinental champion, and he held the
World's Heavyweight Champion and the Undisputed Championship you know twice each,
and tag Team Champion four times. And he also retired
(16:36):
legends including Goldberg the greatest all time, Johnson the legend
Killer was killed, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Chris Jericho, and
then you know Seamus you know, name all the guys
that are over forty four sampunk. I mean, it's like
a never ending list of people he could he could
retire in the next ten years.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Right, And I see Kyle on the YouTube chat, what's up, Kyle? Yeah,
I just the Scena thing has been a little underwhelming,
you know. And I don't know if you saw that
interview he just did where he was going for like
the the retirement tour was supposed to be longer. I
think it was supposed to be like over one hundred
something dates or two hundred something dates, but ww had said, oh,
(17:19):
we only need you for this many dates, which I
think was like thirty six, which that really kind of
tells a story about TKO is that it's it's lazy writing,
even for John Cena's you know, retirement tour, which should
have obviously it should have been a big deal because
it's fucking John Cena, but they just they want to
(17:40):
do the bare minimum. Because I was thinking, like with
this with his tour, I was thinking like it was
a John Cena think of like, oh, he's busy, he's
in Hollywood, so he can't appear as much. But it's like, no,
Like the original idea was, you know, it was supposed
to be longer, but wwe decided to just go for
sure for what reason, I don't fucking know why. I mean,
(18:03):
we kind of know why, but where was I Yeah,
OBA winning is the right to city tag the.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Match from the Next Man event or something like that.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Well, I was gonna say I think Drew Drew might
interfere and cost Cody the match.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
At col too. I'm all for that.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
You know, he could he could like cause a distraction
where Cody's like and then Oba you know, beats him
with his move, So that makes sense. You know, both
both guys don't look like complete ship but anyhow. Uh.
Next next is the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge match UH
(18:40):
for the winner to face the NXC Women's Champion at
New Year's Evil. He had Kendall Gray, Soul, Ruka Lolavis,
Colonie Jordan, and Jordan Grace. This is my match of
the night. I really really like this match. All all
the women in this match were amazing it. I don't
(19:00):
really recall any botches unless I miss something, and everyone
in this match looked good. Jordan looked good, Klane even
look good. I don't want to say even, because she
always looks good. But Soul, I mean, Soul is always
fun to watch. Lola like kind of I'm kind of
like off the Lola train, if I'm being perfectly honest.
(19:22):
It's like, you know, been there, done that. They tried
to make her a top thing, but I don't think
that's gonna work out in my opinion. But I mean,
she's still over people like her. But it's one of
those things like I can take her a leaver Kendall
Kendall Gray who won the match, which I I don't
think anyone saw that coming. I think everyone was. I
(19:44):
think everyone was kind of Soul or Jordan. I think
I picked Soul. I know I picked Solo, right, No,
I think you did. Yeah, well, no, I remember. I
think I remember hearing about you picking Kendall to win,
like on Twitter or something. I yeah, I picked a
Soul to win on Wednesday, and Justin picked Jordan. But
(20:06):
I was kind of like, you know, yeah, I like Kendall.
I think Kendall's pretty good. She's she impresses me. You know,
she has a nice look to her. She can work,
and she won. She won this match, and and you
know you picked her. But I don't really recall a
lot of people picking her. And I'm again, I was
pleasantly surprised. I you know, you know, the whole point
(20:29):
of NXC is obviously build to the future, and Jordan's
gonna have her chance. You know that's that. I think
that spot's reserved for her at like takeover, Uh Soul,
She's gonna have something going on with uh what's her name? Zaria,
which I think Zaria is gonna turn on her on Tuesday.
Everybody else Lola, been there, done that. Uh Soul, I'm
(20:52):
not nut sol Klannie, been there, done that. So you
have something interesting here with uh with with Kendall at
at a New Year's Evil. So I'm happy for Kendall.
I thought it was interesting before the match when they
were showing like a vignette about her light, like a
package about her life where she's like, yeah, I did
(21:13):
I did amateur wrestling and I had to grow up
being tough and blah blah blah. I'm like, that's interesting
they're showing a package about her and only her before
this match. But I guess that was kind of a spoiler.
But uh yeah, fun match. I really liked it. It's
my match of the night. What'd you think.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
I'm not going to give matches this night until the
end of the night, but or at the end of
our show. But yeah, I thought the match was great.
I did not pick anyone on Twitter. I actually made
my picks during on the al Jake and the the
in the Space Around on their YouTube show, So I
did it live on the air, you know, before any
of the matches started, I went four for five. By
the way, I got the men as wrong I am.
(21:56):
I think Lola is a great heel. I think as
a face, when she speaks English, she sounds whiny. She
probably can't help that because of her accent. I think
that she's gonna be the female star of Triple A
for the next dozen years, so she'll be fine. I
think that's mostly where she's gonna be, and she's sort
(22:17):
of they can plug her into whatever, and if she's
a heel, I could easily see her, you know, being
you know, w W or NXT Women's Champion or even TNA.
But as a face, she just it doesn't sound great.
I feel that Jordan Kilanie and you know they, like
you said, been there, done that. They they both keep
(22:39):
getting title shots or you know, Vannie's won the North
American title I think twice, and she had the TNA title,
so she's sort of been Jordan and Grace keeps getting
title shot after title shot and keeps losing it. Nobody
wants to see her lose again. And the people who
get this title shot, I mean, they're probably gonna be
doing on a Tuesday night in January, so it's probably
(23:00):
going to be a loss anyway. So you know, Kendall
is already the Evolved Women's Champion. By the way, I
watch Evolve, so you know, I see Chocolate is in
the chat there, so we have seen how good she is,
but how good she's gone and and she's totally First
of all, Ren Sinclair helps everyone in more relaxed and
have more fun. But Kendall Gray always have the skills.
(23:25):
I mean, she was in NXC before Evolve existed. She
said she found her voice, and it's a hundred percent correct.
She found her voice. She can now talk. She doesn't
just say the same thing every time, but her her
real life story is rather impressive and glad they did so.
But she's really good. Even Dave Meltzer saying how good
she is and not glad. I respect anything from him,
(23:46):
but that's really unusual for him to say anything good
about WW. So I just figured the rocket ship would
be put on her, get the Evolved title off of
her at some point and give it to somebody who
is in developmental You know, I want opposed to Kelly
Armstrong getting another shot. You know everyone knows I'm a
big Chantel Monroe fan. Nikita Lyons has been killing it
(24:07):
down there, and I think she's about to get two
cronies so that, you know, that would make sense. And
they left well if they let but the Zeta Steel
got away, which I think was a big you know,
could be a big loss for them or a big
game for somebody else. Anyway, this match was great, and
Soul she's got the like you said, she's got the
story with Abumnee and with Zari and all of that
good stuff. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was
(24:27):
Soul Ruku who won. I mean, I really wouldn't have
been surprised by anyone but Solar Kilani. I mean, you know,
the easy choices. But you know, whatever, whether it was
just a lucky guess or otherwise that this one came
out to be prophetic, you know, I guess against the grain,
just like Obo was against the grain. But yeah, I
thought this was a great match. All the women's worked
(24:49):
really hard. The match was fun. They worked really well together.
Not any interference. I mean, of course, fatal influence came
out at the end to sort of say you think
you're ready for this young one. You know, I still
think Charlie Dempsey is somehow gonna screw things up for them,
But I don't know, I think you're starting to come
around to maybe this can be he can be like
(25:11):
reluctantly charming. Anyway, that's not particularly important, But yeah, I
thought this. I thought this was a terrific match much more,
and I really enjoy the Iron Survivor match, and out
of innovations in wrestling over the last i don't know,
ten or fifteen years, the Iron Survivor to me is
a really fun match. And I actually do like the
(25:32):
Casino Battle royal idea. I just don't like AW. But
if there's anything that I'm gonna like, it might be
the Battle of It. But I haven't watched AW and
it's got to be two years probably more at this point.
So okay, an screed, But I do like the concept
of five people coming out at a time or like
(25:52):
you know more or and like the tag team battle rold.
So I do like that. But most innovations in wrestling
are sort of lame, and then you go back to
things that were even lame, a like four corners matches
and strap matches and stuff. So but yeah, this was
a lot of fun, a lot of color, a lot
of good moves, good performance all around.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I like, I really do like it, and you know,
to jump ahead a little bit, I prefer the Iron
Survivor matches tonight to wargames because you know, wargames should
be simple, but they try to overbook it and overcomplicate it,
whereas you know, you look at Iron Survivor matches, they
just kind of stick to the formula of like the
(26:37):
ABC and D like, it's that simple. We don't try
to get all crazy. We just there's a timer and
you have to make sure you're the guy or the
girl before it hits twenty five minutes. You know, keeps
everybody on their toes and it makes it more exciting,
you know, for people to watch at home or in
the building. And it's just that simple and I love it.
(27:01):
They try to do it with the Scramble challenge back
in the day, but that was a little bit convoluted,
but with this, it just again it keeps everybody on
their toes.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
It's fun.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Like NXT. When NXT was doing war games, it was
fun and then when I got to the main roster,
it just got a little silly. But yeah, with Iron Survival,
these Aron Survivor challenges are the Iron Servivor Challenge matches
are fun. I look forward to him. I thoroughly look
forward to him every year, just like tonight.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Like war Games, when there's the right story that deserves
to be a five on five, when it was just
thrown together like it was this year. I mean, I
wasn't gonna watch it anyway, because I'm just I'm taking
the principal stance that I'm not paying thirty dollars a
month to watch wrestling. I'm just there's nothing else on
the ESPN Plus than that I want to watch. I'm
not paying thirty dollars to watch wrestling. When they told
me if I had ESPN, I would have access to
(27:54):
it and no additional costs. And I have ESPN three
different ways, you know, through my Disney Bundle, d my
regular cable, and I've got the ESPN app. So you know,
screw them. I'm not the product that hasn't been good
enough and I don't see it getting any better. But
aside from that, I like it also in an exceed
because they they've always done it so that there's a reason,
(28:17):
there's a reason why those four guys are fighting those
four guys or those five guys are fighting those five guys.
I think it's too long. They don't like that the
match doesn't start until everyone's in the ring. But there's
too long. Like if they took it down from they
maybe the first entrance was five minutes, and then after
that it was three or went from five to four
three two one, so there was it just was quicker.
(28:40):
But of course they only want to put four or
five matches on pls now, so they're definitely not going
to make them make them shorter. I don't foresee good things.
But I didn't even really love traditional Servigra series matches
though the first two years they made sense because all
four guys had problems with each other or we're teammates,
(29:00):
and then they just start throwing people together again. So
it was it was there was eight man tag matches,
which are which which are dumb. I mean, they usually
throw away matches. So I guess I'd rather have a
war Games than than Survivor series. I got maybe I'm
in the mine harty that way, but but I don't
love either anyway. I didn't watch it, but this I
(29:21):
like these these are twenty five minutes and there's stuff
going on. There's stuff going on in the penalty boxes.
You got the the outside ref, you have the inside raft.
You know, it's just fun. There's just all sorts of
houton Nanny and Shenanigans going on.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Danny. Yeah, I mean, I Sean Michaels is, you know,
clearly booker of the Year, like he knows how to
make these shows work and make them fun. But let's
move on next, as you have for the NXT North
American Championship, Ethan Page versus mister Iguana, I didn't really
(29:57):
care about this match, and I'd love Ethan Page, like
you know how I feel about Ethan Page. I know
how you feel about Ethan Page. I just I wasn't
crazy about this match. Like Ethan Page. They could have
easily just plugged and played him into the Iron Survivor
Challenge match, but for whatever reason, I mean, I mean, yeah,
he's doing the stuff with Triple A. I know, I
(30:18):
get it, but it's like, I don't know, you couldn't
find anything better for him to do. But that's just me.
I mean again, granted, the crowd seemed to be into it,
especially like towards the end, but yeah, just I'm usually
not the kind of guy who like stomps his hand
on the on the table and goes a comedy and wrestling.
(30:39):
We're like, I usually don't make a big deal about
it in this case, like the Iguana stuff, It's like, Okay,
good for him, he's getting a paycheck, he's getting noticed.
Can't really fault him for that. But I don't really
care about it. I think it's I think it's dumb
and it's kind of well past its expiration take in
my opinion, just speaking for myself. But Ethan won as
(31:03):
he should have. It was a pretty short match. But
would you think.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
I very very much everything he said? Yes, they could
have had someone different in this match. If Ethan for
a title that's pretty important and they put it in
with a guy who's not particularly important, Yeah, they're they're
sell puppets. I get it. I mean, mister Iguana is
in the same vein as an Orange Cassidy or a
Dan Housen, and I feel the same with him. You know,
(31:31):
I liked Orange Cassidy the first few times I saw
him when he was used sparingly, and then I got
sick of him. I like Dan Hausen, but he's always
used sparingly, you know, but when they try to actually
make a real wrestler. I mean, it's fun once in
a while because it surprises you. But if it's all
the time not interesting, mister is not going a wrestler.
It's not that interesting, you know. If things are done
(31:55):
on the Lucha card, I mean, you have to let
there'd be a little bit more silliness, you know. Lofista
told me this. She told me that Conan told her
years ago. It's Luca, it doesn't matter. It's silly, and
so I always told myself that. But this was an
NXT show, so I thought it was largely a throwaway match.
But you know, I think it was as good as
(32:15):
it could have been. And I think Ethan Page has
a pretty good case to be Wrestler of the Year.
I mean him and Trick Williams, I think are like
neck and neck as male wrestler of the Year. And
I don't mean for nxtor I mean period. I mean granted,
like I said, I haven't watched the main roster. I
haven't watched Raw more than five times since the Netflix debut,
and I'm including the Netflix debut in one of those five.
(32:39):
I haven't watched SmackDown. I don't know. It's gonna be
three months. And you know, I've seen out of the
Saturn Night's main events. I definitely missed at least one.
I saw the one recently before title matches and I
liked it, But the one I skipped, the one before
and the one before that, I thought stunk. I mean
that would it goes terrible anyway? Yeah, I don't, I say,
(33:04):
I mean it was the black guy going. I don't. Yeah,
I don't think anyone, Nick, mister Iguana. Uh, you know,
I would have liked to have seen something else, someone else,
but it wasn't long. And and to what you were
saying about san Antonio earlier, I mean, obviously you're from there,
so I totally I can't take any issue with her.
You said about you don't get a lot, and so
that the crowd was hungry for it and had a
(33:24):
lot of energy, But they were also wrestling fans. They
knew who everybody was, so so they it's not just
that they don't get a lot. That's it's it's like
wrestling fans. We not just wrestling fans, NXT fans who
were familiar with Triple A and familiar with WWE and
probably familiar with a lot more as well, So I
mean not they weren't just hungry for it. They they
(33:45):
were actually hungry for the product they were to see.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
So they they you know that that helped a lot
of being in the in the watch along on the
on All Jakes Channel with aw Offel and George Captor
and whoever was in the chat, I was.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Probably made it feel a lot easier than it would
and if I was just watching it at home. So yeah,
I mean I said I wasn't gonna say my match
of the night, I won't, but my least favorite match
of the night, shocker this one agreed.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Yeah, I mean yeah, he kind of hit all kind
of I mean, I think we both just said the
same thing. Yeah, Ethan just Ethan Page. I mean, what
else can we say? The guy even a match this silly.
He somehow made it work even though you and me
both didn't like it, he still found a way to
make it work and at least make it somewhat enjoyable
(34:37):
in its own way. Yeah, I mean, he's He's definitely
in my top five of like, you know, best male
wrestlers of the year. And yeah, I mean the mystery
Iguana thing like he he's a comedy guy at the
end of the day. And then there's no shame in
(34:58):
that because you know, he can still make money being
a comedy gimmick. I mean, our truth has done it
for years. Uh, Santino thrived off of it. So again
there's no shame in it. But you did again, this
literally could have been anyone else that was that was better,
better fit for it. But you know, Ethan is he's
mister triple A at the moment, you know, but which
(35:21):
good for him, good for him and Chelsea. But next
is we have a singles match of Izzy Dame versus
Tatum Pasley. Tatum Pasley on Wednesday pretty much said I'm
gonna inflict all my pain on you, YadA, YadA, YadA,
after is he turned on her a few weeks ago
at a gold Rush in U in New York. Yeah,
(35:44):
this is a fine match. I can't really say too
much about it. It was okay, it wasn't terrible. Again,
people love the shit Tatum. You know, Tatum is a
Texas girl and uh, as expected, you know, is one
which makes sense her easy to win because you know,
they clearly want to push her because she has a look,
(36:09):
and Tatum is one of the I love Tatum, like
I think Tatum is someone that can easily be like
a little bit higher on the card. But I don't know,
maybe it's just me, maybe it's just my own bias,
but they just they gave her that title and then
it meant nothing. It lasted, like I think, less than
(36:30):
a month and only only to like further a storyline,
which again isn't unheard of in wrestling. But I don't know.
I think her title win should have met more, but
it really didn't. So she lost, which I'm assuming she's
going to get a win back, you know, the next
time they win or next time they wrestled. But anyway,
(36:53):
AnyWho would you think.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Maybe I don't know if she's gonna have a win
back or not. I mean you think she would, but
I don't know how. They're outnumbered and she can't possibly
trust anyone again, So I unless you're going to bring
her husband back a big body hobby, I don't know
where she gets the support of why she would accept
any and anyway, I thought this match was very good.
I thought it was better. Oh yeah, maybe I thought
it was better than you thought. I thought it really
(37:18):
it felt like I like the psychology and like the
grudge aspect to it. It did feel like they hated
each other, but it takes same as a little tenth.
The only issue I had with the matches when they
when they pulled out the two dolls. I thought that
was great, but I wanted to hate them to stick
them up Sean Spears and Nico's asses, like to actually
(37:40):
do it or shot them down the throat something, and
I think that would have been fun. And then she
walks into the big boot Izzy. There was no outside interference.
I was sort of I was talking myself into maybe
Anna Jay showing up and joining the calling or something,
someone joining the color. It was probably better this way. Anyway.
(38:03):
I thought it was a really good match, but I mean,
you know, I don't think it was particularly eventful. I mean,
I like that Tatum got the belt, and I think
people liked her. I don't really have a problem with
them with the with the short reign. I mean, honestly,
I think the best thing for Tatum is the worst
thing for someone else, which is that they need to
(38:24):
get rid of Nikki Cross and just put Tatum as
the sister.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Habit all and the ways hardly agree agree.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
I mean, what a what an improvement? And then she
gets a pay raise, and then and they can do
that thing, and and and they're working in Triple A
as well, which is really where they where they seem
to make more sense, even though I guess apparently there's
still the SmackDown champions. I mean, I understand why I
don't go to Raw and take those champions. They should,
they should, they should actually make them the tag team
(38:53):
champions of Raw, SmackDown and Triple A, and maybe even
threatened go trying to go to n XT and do
it as well. But at least those three brands and
maybe you know, I don't know, but you know, they
should be the belt collectors of tag team titles under
the w W purview. And you know, I don't think
TNA would complain. I don't think, I know, Triple A
woul't complain. Not that matters. They are forty nine percent
(39:16):
you know, local ownership. Yeah, but you know enough about
this match, you know, I think we both liked it.
I liked it more than you did, but I'm probably
more invested in the two characters than you are.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Well no, no, no, I'm not saying I'm not I love
Tatum is the starting to warm up to a little bit.
But I'm just saying I liked it. I didn't love it,
but you know you liked it slightly a little bit
more than me. But no, I did like the psychological
you know, shit about the match. I liked, you know,
(39:49):
Tatum coming in and just her face full of tears
or mascara running down and she's still of like, you know,
you're my best I still want to be your best friend,
and I love you, but you know you hurt me,
and I've been hurt a lot, and I just I
don't want to be hurt anymore. So I like that.
I did. I like psychology in wrestling, and it's kind
of a lost start, you know that in a character
(40:11):
in character development. So but now the crowd liked it.
The crowd loves the sh Tatum, the calling other than Izzy.
I again, I know what Sean Spears is here for.
He's here to put people over, and I get it,
but it's like, can you do it in the back.
We don't need to see.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
You of one guy, and the one guy is apparently
not clear for physical competition, so I think it's not
much of a faction. I mean, it would make sense
if he had, like, you know, three other guys or
three other girls, but but they don't need that in
the women. The women's division is awesome. So the men's
(40:51):
division is the one that sort of made.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
You notice, how I mean, and again this is it's
a good thing obviously, but like you notice how a
lot of factions in w w WE, the women end
up being the breakout star.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Yeah, I mean, it was always supposed to being factions,
and someone's gonna be a breakout story. I just think
that the BWE seems to have forgotten how to do
factions except for the Bloodline, and they sort of I
don't I mean, I don't know. Vince didn't like factions.
And it's weird because Triple H is known from for
(41:29):
like the most famous faction you know ever. I mean,
I know what you like to say, the Four Horsemen
and and but that's probably because of you know, they're
just they're the old the o g ones. But I mean,
come on, I say, yeah, after the first couple of iterations,
they started watering down. Those Horsemen had Jeff Jacket and
(41:51):
Dean Malanco and Brian pell Rome like that, and there.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
I mean, well, no, no, I'm saying, like lately, a lot
of factions is like and again I'm not I'm I'm
I'm happy this is the case. Like you know, O
t M. You know, Jada became the bigger star. You know,
Judgment Day, Ria Ripley became the bigger star. The current
Judgment Day Live is the bigger star, you know, or
(42:15):
mean or Dom, you know, Dom's the big star, but
Live is you know, right there with them who I
mean calling you know, Izzy's becoming the star. So I mean,
obviously it's a good thing. But but yeah, just like
you know, even like I think the president of c
W said that the women are kicking the men's asses
(42:36):
like they're they're much more interesting, and I whole hardly agree.
You know, uh, Evolution, you know, and me and Justin
are going to do our you know, best and worst
of you know for our year end awards. But Evolution
to me is my favorite, you know, po hands down.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
I mean, I haven't seen a bunch, but I don't remember.
I mean, I'm sure there were other pos that, but
I think evolution was the only one that I really.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
Agree.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
All right, So.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
Let me ask you some before we get to the
main event. What do you think about this Shilah Hill guy? Like,
I just I really don't understand. I get it. He's
supposed to be like a hacker or like a like
a QAnon guy or whatever the fuck, but I'm already
annoyed by the gimmick. Like, I just don't get it.
Maybe it's not for me. But what do you think
(43:28):
about it?
Speaker 3 (43:31):
We'll see. You know, I've watched him both seasons on LFJ,
so I've seen his talent. I've seen his dedication, I've
seen his toughness, but I've also seen his maturity. Like
some of the guys they want to throw down and
fight and they stay mad for three days. He won't
back up and he'll throw down and fight, but when
the coach says it's done, it's done. You know. So
you know, you can tell who's been in a real
(43:52):
locker room before or a successful program, and he's one
of those guys. He's very coachable, he's got he loses charisma.
He's looks like Bray Wyatt, but it's built more like
Randy Orton, you know, d one football player that went
to Stanford and then he's got this star weapon and
he has this huge social media presence that he built up,
you know, from nothing just by being sort of weird
(44:13):
and spooky and out there and all of that. He's
he's cool on social media. So I'm totally behind the kid.
I I I think he's going to be great. I
think he's going to be a star. I think they're
going to put the gas behind him.
Speaker 5 (44:25):
You know.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
I think he's their male version of Embel Gray. I
think Kim and Anthony Luke and Jess Pertroy and Obafemi
and Trick Williams there, you know, Harlan Lewis, if you
can get his head on straight, bron Breaker, you know,
the the these are the guys. They're they're going to
be holding it down for the next ten years because
most of the stars are prety plus right.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
I mean again, maybe I was being too hard, but
it's like again, maybe the Gimmicks just not for me
and and and.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
You thinks just because I like them.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean that's never happened before. Well, no,
like you obviously follow g a lot more than me
and me because you get a you did a show
about it, so again, that just kind of shows how
much I know about that with the legendary lu Fisto
shouts to lu Fisto, Yeah, like you said, that's just
(45:16):
him being himself. I know Chocolate is saying the same thing.
That's just him being himself. So I don't know, we'll see,
maybe he'll grow on me. Like I I put it
on social media, and I was just to be honest,
I was just being cheeky or I was just like
I hate it, and some pretty much some nobody replied
just getting mad at me for saying I hate it,
and uh, clerk, clerk of chaos. Anyone who knows clerk
(45:39):
a chaos Like when he replies or posts about anything,
he'll just post the most random ship as a picture,
because that's Cleric, Like you know Cleric. I know Cleric,
and I forgot his response, but he just postes something
along the lines of like, you know, teach his own,
you know, kind of you know, having my back against
whoever that person will was. And he just posted a
(46:01):
picture of a Christmas tree, and that person replied, what's
the point of posting a picture of a Christmas tree?
And that just made me laugh because I know Cleric.
I know why he does that, but it just made
me laugh, which is like, why a Christmas tree?
Speaker 3 (46:19):
And so I think he was trying to say, it's
the spirit of generosity, it's the spirit of brother We
love the spirits.
Speaker 5 (46:29):
I know.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
I mean I know Cleric obviously, but it's just like,
I just think that's funny for an outsider who doesn't
know Cleric to be like, why a Christmas tree?
Speaker 3 (46:38):
I mean it's December. I don't know why it's so mysterious.
I mean, obviously that person was the.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
Dummy yeah yeah, yeah, but no.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
I'm doing the yeah.
Speaker 5 (46:53):
Dummy.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
Yeah, but I just think that's funny. But that guy was.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
Obviously weak, pl froul and ready to foil.
Speaker 5 (47:02):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (47:02):
Yeah. Currently Cleric is having fun with him in the twitter,
he said. He said, and I quote, I kind of
want to take this further, but I'm not sure. I'm like, hey,
go ahead.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
Push, yeah, well, let him have his fun.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Yeah. It's like what was it, what was it Infinity
War when Hulk is beat is fighting Theanos and one
of his dudes are about to step in and like,
mall just goes let him have his fun.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
Yeah. But I hated that scene and I still hate it.
It bothers me almost every single day.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
Why is it? Why did it bother you?
Speaker 3 (47:38):
Because the Hulk should get his ass completely kicked in
ninety seconds.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Well, mc U Hulk is different from comic book Kulk.
So I.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Then America held his own longer against Thanos. No, no, no, no, no,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
Well no, no, I'm agreeing with you, because, like you know,
in all actuality, if like they actually stuck to common
the Kulk, that'd be cheating because he would like literally
kill everybody.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Well that's fine, but I mean just to make either
make Thanos so strongly you could beat up comic book
Hulk or movie Hulk in ninety seconds so that you
could beat everyone else up, you know, more easily, or
it was the same ease, or make it a fight
that makes sense. It just it just it just was
a bad scene, I'm sorry, a bad scene, and it
(48:28):
led to all of this badness with the Hope Bolstbuster
and Gray Hulk, which nobody likes Gray Hulk.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
Yeah, especially when he when he was wearing John Draper's cardigan.
Speaker 3 (48:39):
Yeah, especially Sons Drapery he stretched out Draper's cardigan. It's
like it's room now right.
Speaker 5 (48:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
Again, I hate using this term mainly but it's appropriate.
They pretty much nerved Hulk.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Yeah. I don't know what that means, but whatever it sucked.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
They watered it down. That's the best way to put it.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
Every single day I think about that scene and how
much I hate it. That's that's the only thing in
the good part of the m c U that that
that I hate. That's entirely true because I sort of
hated all of iron Man.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Two, iron Man two or just are your iron Man
iron Man two? Okay, all right not b o o. Yeah,
it's not one of my favorites. But all right, So
we're gonna go to the main event. We're at that
portion of the show, the Man's Iron Survivor Challenge for
(49:31):
the NXT Championship or to determine who's going to face
the NX Champion at New Year's Evil. You have Javon Evans,
Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, Warrenant, and Miles Bourne,
who were all supposedly picked by John Cena. Yeah, yeah,
this is fun. This is still fun. I I I joked,
but like, yeah, I this is this is fun. Both
(49:54):
both Iron Survivor Challenge matches were really good. The women's
I liked more this this. I still like.
Speaker 5 (50:02):
That.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
I guess that was kind of my only gripe. It's like,
why is Deon Lennox in the match? I don't get it, But.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
I don't really know why anybody was in the match
except for John Evans.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
I mean, Joe Hendry makes sense because Joe Hendry is
still a name and he still gets a reaction. Miles
Born match.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
Says he won in in NXT to merit being getting
a title shot. No, I mean, I get he's he's
a name, but I mean, Leon Slater doesn't even work
for WWE, and he's mostly a tag team wrestler. You know,
Miles Born is born as f uh and he's a
He's a shrimpy little guy. Actually, Lennox was He is
(50:47):
the only one that sort of made sense to me
because they're trying to I mean, the women's match felt
like it had more star power than the men's match,
but because the match is so much fun doesn't matter.
I mean, and it was well off, but I mean,
if you didn't know what Dion Lax was in before,
when you saw his heel work, I mean he threw
a referee into John and Evans and then locked them
(51:07):
in the box. What Miles Bourne was coming out of
the penalty box, he kicked the door into him, and
I was like, you know, his heel work is fantastic.
It's it's sensational. His time and his placement, those are
all the things that make like Chelsea Green and Ethan
Page great. So so I actually was hoping that he
would win. I figured that's why he gave up his
tag team out to say che Kwang. I wonder if
(51:31):
that would be the source of some dissension, uh, you know,
within the within ark. I'll be like, okay, you can
give me the belt back and he's like a hundred
on the back two player. You know, they had the
Oba and and Dion segmented, you know earlier, which you
know seemed like it was foreshadow and well now they
sort of wasted.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
That, right, That's what I was thinking. From anyone else, Yeah,
that's what I was thinking. I'm like, you know, because
I know I just said wise in the match. I mean,
he made an interesting point where it was, but like
I was thinking, like, okay, they're really focused a lot
on Dion Lennox wanting to face Oba, and then Oba
being like yeah, you know, I'll facey blah blah blah.
And you know, they even brought up, you know, last
(52:10):
year when you know, Dion Lennox was doing the his
old gimmick of you know, I still find it funny.
His gimmick was that he reads books. It's it's unheard
of in wrestling. But yeah, like they were making a
point to really bringing up a lot. I'm like, oh,
I guess he's gonna win. I mean, I didn't think
Kendall Gray was gonna win, but she won. I'm like,
(52:30):
all right, Well, the whole point of NXC is to
build up new stars, and Javon won, which I'm happy
Jevon onecause I like Jevon, But like I was like, oh,
maybe they want to give something Javon to do in
the meantime until Takeover. Maybe Wressell Ricky. I don't know,
but I.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
Feel like I've seen this match Javon and Oba form,
and I feel like Jofond's had I feel like Jordan
Gracie's had like four title shots and then you know,
lost them all, and you know, now he's involved with
Triple A. I you know, I'm sort of like over it.
What I thought was going to happen was that, you know,
as they've been teasing Javon and Leon as a tag
team and they've sort of had miscommunications, I figured that
(53:10):
they would cost each other the match and they would
sort of have a you know, have a little feud anyway.
You know, I'm not upset. I mean, Javon is a
homegrown star. Obviously they like him lot. He's only twenty two.
It seems like they're almost ready to you know, they're
they're they're phasing a whole bunch of people into the
main roster, or at least getting other rosters exposed to him.
(53:31):
I mean, Van's been on TNA, he's been on Triple
A and No how he's been on the main roster
a couple of times. So they're getting people used to
seeing them. So you know, it's, yeah, I don't hate it.
I just I just thought that they were going to
try to you know, I know that a lot of
people don't like Dark State, and I agree that there's
nothing really particularly interesting about it, But if you sort
of drape them in gold or at least success, then
(53:53):
they That's what makes a faction interesting is when they
have goals and they hit those goals. I mean the
Horsemen usually had titles. Who are going after titles? So yeah,
so anyway, but I wasn't disappointed too much. I mean
I like the match, I like Jabon. I don't want
(54:14):
to sound otherwise. You know, the only person I know
interest in is is uh Miles more so. But even so,
you know, again, this twenty five minute match of the
whole format works for me.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Yeah, they really, they really want to do something with
that Miles Born kid. And I again, I don't dislike
him the way you do. I'm more just like the
dude's kind of bland. That's really about it. Like the
dudes really bland, you know, outside of that No No
Quarter Catch crew. You know, Wren to me is the
(54:50):
only one I care about. Uh Tavion also, you know,
he's interesting and he least has a look. Mile.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
I was going to find his voice this year twenty
twenty six. He's going to turn it up.
Speaker 2 (55:04):
Yeah. He had a great match with Mike Santana earlier
this year on NXC, so the dude has something, he
has something going. Uh But yeah, Miles, again, they really
like to plug and play him in a lot of shit,
and I just I don't get it. I really don't.
Speaker 5 (55:21):
Leon either.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
I know that I know that they love the gimmick
that he's that he's you know, significantly deaf. I know
that they really and he was a good looking kid,
but he's also one hundred and seventy seven pounds and
I mean, listen, I know why he can't speak well,
but it doesn't change the fact that he can't speak well.
And true personality and promos is a whole lot of wrestling,
(55:46):
you know, the the you know, the they did this
before with the guy who had one leg, and then
they I think they try to get with the guy
that had no legs. I mean it, once you get
past the disability or the challenge, it's no longer an
interesting gimmick. I mean, to steal the guy's prosthetic leg
wasn't interesting anymore. It just seems stupid. And it's like,
(56:06):
why you keep going at the matches. Everyone's just going
to take away your leg, you know, I just you know,
it's like maybe if he was built like Warlow, you know,
you know, I'd be more invested because then you could
overcome them because you're just like, you know, six five
and two eighty and I'm gonna vout sizes, but you know,
(56:28):
you know, or if you could just like make really
mean facial expressions and did promos and sign language and
then they did subtitles like you know, when Oscar Yelton
Japanese and they did subtitles or Knock and Murder. Did
I think that would be more effective than him trying
trying to cut promos, especially babyface promos. A couple of
(56:49):
times they've had to resort to subtitles, which it's just
even worse because like why force it anyway? It is
mostly his size, I mean, you know, that's that's most
of it. But yeah, I don't really get a lot
of his personality because I you know, because because his
his vocal affect is more or less the same no
(57:11):
matter what he said, so he'll face angry, mad, sad, happy.
It's I can't get into the character.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
Yeah, I mean he's uh yeah, I mean I gotta
be I gotta be honest, Like the dude's bland, you know,
he's who's the dude? Who's the dune a w the
guy that like everybody was like wet over and he
did that like weird dance.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Who is he Daniel?
Speaker 2 (57:41):
He's basically nxts Daniel Garcia.
Speaker 3 (57:45):
I can say that. I mean, he's better looking than
Daniel Garcia, but.
Speaker 2 (57:49):
I can say that, yeah, essentially, But you know it's
chocolate killed me. Chocolate goes He'll grow out of being
deaf like Eugene did.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Well, I mean, I do pay chocolate good money on
the side to try to kill you.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
So oh okay, ah, now I know. Now I gotta
keep my guard up. Well yeah, uh that was that
was Oh and at the end of the show, the
return of Tony DiAngelo, who's not a don anymore.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
Was that Gruesov looking like Rusev and and putting you know,
I guess he's resurrected because he's put in like the
the black mark of death, like passing them around, alded
back h you know, uh black construction paper.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
And well, I'm like, oh, is this is this someone
debuting that I don't know? And then it was him.
I'm like, oh, that's weird, but sure, let's let's do
that at the end of a pay per view. But
all right, Uh that was an.
Speaker 3 (58:52):
Oa has three losses to Tony D'Angelo, And it was
so weird that they were talking about the omas had
no challenges you know, no one's presented a challenge atil
Ricky Saint speeding, which is not true. I mean he
lost the trick. Williams also, but I'm yeah, Tony d
the Don beat him three times in hour he did.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
Very true, all right. Jeff highlights Lee's favorite match, favorite
match of the night.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
With Women's Irons River fer Match Lisa Ferro match Page
Mister Iguana. Grade. I would have graded higher except for
Page mister Iguana. I mean, I'm basically grading that as
a name complete. So I'm gonna go solid B.
Speaker 2 (59:42):
Yeah, yeah, it's a fair grad. Might just give it
the same thing. Yeah, we have the same ones. I
didn't like the mister Iguana match. Again, just comedy characters
should be you sparingly and you could have found it.
You literally could have found anything for Page to do
that would have been much better. But again, at the
moment he's mister triple A. He's also he's he's mister
(01:00:03):
NXT and mister uh triple A. So and then the
Women's Aaron to Ever challenge. I ran it and raved it,
raved about it earlier. If I loved it, I thought
it was great, and yeah, I'll give it a B.
I'll give it a solid B. Makes sense, all right. Uh,
that is the end of the show. People, anyone listening
(01:00:25):
in the discord chat on Wrestling Soup, anyone listening in
the YouTube chat, I want thank y'all and thank y'all
for helping helping us get those numbers up on on
the YouTube channel. Currently we're at one hundred and seventy eight.
You know, the goal is to get to two hundred
and beyond. So yeah, people just sub to the channel
(01:00:45):
so you get a different variety on the show. You get,
you know, only get shows like this I do with
Jeff for these NXT shows. You also get the experience,
which is every Wednesday and at it's at eight pm.
Now we're at a new time per Justin's request, per
minor request as well, eight pm Central Time. And that's
(01:01:06):
the and that's another wrestling that's the that's the show.
That's the main show with me and Justin from Spawnmuster Teas.
You also get a show I do with r J
of the Brooklyn Savage, which is called Friendly Neighborhood Marks,
which that's that's more of an entertainment show mixed with wrestling.
We talk about Marvel and d c and also a
little bit of wrestling, and next this coming Thursday, we
(01:01:31):
will be going live, so look out for that show
to happen. We usually go live in the morning, so
be up, be up, ready and ready, aiming to go
with people. There's also Culture Attack with me and Rubin,
which we haven't been one of those in a while,
but I will let you know when the next one happens.
We're currently on I wouldn't say hiatus, but we just
(01:01:52):
need to make the show app We seed to get
a show out and then a new show I have
for any of you sportsheads or basketball mainly it's a
meta met Jesus Christ metal drive hoops with me and
my childhood friend Anthony or Tony as I call him.
We're going to do a new show tomorrow and it's
(01:02:14):
gonna be live live at six pm Central time, so
look for that to happen. And of course the Experience
if you want to listen to it on audio that's
on Speaker, iTunes and Spotify, as well as my other
podcast that I just mentioned so and then Twitter, xdy Experience, Instagram, TikTok.
So anyways, that's enough about me, Jeff. Where can they
(01:02:36):
find you?
Speaker 3 (01:02:38):
Best place is probably the AX at those Underscore Evil
and of course find me on their Wrestling Soup discord.
In terms of things I do for wrestling, you know,
other than this show and Drew outside the network, I
am mom Marie Shadows Squared Circle podcasts about once a
month when we review the MLW. Well they're pl e events,
(01:03:01):
but their YouTube specials basically, and we do plan to
cover Fusion next year when it comes back to being weekly,
so that should be fun on the Wrestling Soup and
friend Doze feed, which is a separate feed. I don't
think enough people realize that it's not everywhere, but it's
(01:03:22):
definitely on Spreaker, and I know it's at least one
other players, but you know, please subscribe to that. But
me and Why Chocolate, we do a dose of Chocolate
and we talk about Evolved, where the show is dedicated
to Evolve. Of course, there's some preof banter as well.
When LFG is on LuFisto and I do the wrestling
stew LFG review show, and that's a lot of fun.
(01:03:46):
We have also done one or two Triple A WWE shows.
I don't know if we're doing one December twentieth or not,
but I wouldn't rule it out. And there are some
talks about some other things I maybe starting a TNA
review show, but that I'll probably be on the Wrestling
Superin Friendos either at least ultimately. And every now and
(01:04:07):
then I do Body Slam Brace, which is an intersection
of law and wrestling that's also on Wrestling Super I
haven't done one in a while, but if I do
in the future, though, that'll probably also migrate to Wrestling Superinfriendos.
My other stuff I do show called The Garden of
Though you'll generally get three shows a week, or at
least two shows a week. Two out of three of
them are probably a little bit like Joe Rogan in
(01:04:29):
terms of variety, certainly not the Celebrity or Bronus and
not Utter Brace of Conspiracy, but sometimes not so far.
And then the third show is called the Gospel of Thomas.
It used to be the Book of Black, and this
week is gonna be the Book of Black again. Though
before that you'll get a Gospel of Thomas because we
recorded with Fay Jackson this past Monday, and I'll probably
(01:04:49):
drop that this coming Monday and this Wednesday night, DJ
Black is back before he flies off to Vietnam for
a week, and we're going to be talking to Isaiah
Broner who's a haas so we'll check that out. And
I'm working on scheduling with a Lexus Littlefoot, who's well
(01:05:10):
regarded indie West Side of Kentucky as well female wrestler
well obviously, and I'm I need to find the co host.
Rabius Thomas is out of pocket this month again living
his best fama's life. And there's some of the projects
in the works and some of them are wrestling related
and blame me. I'll Babylon about those probably for everyone there.
(01:05:32):
We're there. So yeah, that's it, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
And uh, it just came up on the YouTube channel
Brother BKO Sports Entertainment Show. So shout out to everyone
in the chat, including Drewiard Experience, keep up, keep up
the good work in the channel. Appreciate it, and shout

Compliments mean the world, you know, whether it's you know
good job, you know, or just a pat on the back.
So compliments into our chat.
Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
