Speaker 1 (00:42):
People.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
We're live, We're live in living color here on YouTube
as well as as a discord. And this is the
eighth annual Year End Awards. This is the last show
of the year, well for the experience, that is. And
we are here to discuss what we liked about wrestling
this year. And we've been very open and honest about
(01:05):
how we feel about professional wrestling. This year hasn't been great,
but there have been some bright spots and that's what
we're here to talk about. In the past, I would
have included the worst of or least favorite. It's not
fun talking to talking about the bad because then that
then in turn, that just makes me mad. And I
(01:27):
want to be happy. I want Justin to be happy.
I know Justin wants to be happy, don't you, Justin? Yeah, yeah,
he wants to be happy. I know everybody wants us
to be happy. So we're gonna talk about the good
of wrestling, or in our opinion, what the good of
wrestling was. I have a lot of categories here. I
did revise some of the names, but yeah, it's it's
(01:52):
a lot. And this is basically just gonna be the
whole show, unless you know, something else does come up.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
That is, I gotta once all little tiget thing on
the side, but it all circles back for what we're
doing here, and.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
It won't take on probably late, maybe ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Sounds sounds like a plan, all right, So are you ready?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Justin?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yep, all right, So the Year und Awards, I'm gonna
start from the bottom. I'm gonna I'm gonna treat this
like the Oscars. You know, the Oscars always ends with
best picture. In this case, that match of the year.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
That's that's why, that's why you gotta you know, you
guys start off early and uh, you know you don't.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
You don't want the audience that's here.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
You you don't want them to leave, you know, you
want them to sit around and find out what are
you know, pick favorite match of the year.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
So yeah, I will surprise you though. One of my
picks is an ae W wrestler. So uh, I'm gonna
start from the bottom. Few to me, so justin, who
from the entire year of twenty twenty five for wrestling
(03:05):
has had the best feud of the year, the most
consistent feud of the year, the few that's just made sense,
maybe not one that's been the best, but has just
been more consistent.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Well, well this is a WWE. Now, you could have
went with you know, a few of the.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
KOBOOKI Warriors versus Rea.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
And y know naming that.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I mean, that's possibly up there for one of the
best world out I even say one of the best,
but one of the more known women. This view of
the year, and I could have went with something with
like John Moxley and I hate Man and a Page
and a w has had a weaker year obviously with
(03:54):
everything that they're doing, but but there were some good stuff.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
That they did do over there, and I thought that
fee was was fine for what it was. But to me, my.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Fear of the year is and you know what, and
I was gonna add a third person in this one too,
but it's seem punking Seth rawlins.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
That's the few of the year to me.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Could have added here for the Wrestling Many match, but
consistently it was Punk and rollins. It culminated with the
cash in of Seth cashing in on Punk and him
picking and injuring. Then it got stopped short because Roy's
really did get injured this time around.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
So that is my fear of the year. Seth Rawlins
See Him Punk.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
You took the words right out of my mouth. That
was my feod of the year. This has been going
on since Punk came back. It really did kick off
at the beginning of the year with their match on
the first row of Netflix, and then of course the
Rumble and then Elimination Chamber and and you know, the
WrestleMania match the Triple Threat, which the match itself was good.
(05:06):
It was actually a very good match. It's just very
much a thrown together match which culminated with you know,
Paul Hayman turning on Roman after you know, five good
years of service and then turning on his best friends
See Him Punk and aligning himself with Seth, and the
vision has been very hit or miss, more so miss.
(05:28):
But you know, going back to Seth and Punk, they've
really kept his feud, you know, going, and it's been
you know, one of the one of the highlights of
the shows because it works, and these guys tend to
have pretty good matches with each other. And then of
course the cash in and then obviously, you know, Seth
(05:49):
got hurt, so we weren't able to really see this
go through the way it did. More than likely when
you know Seth does come back. But yeah, so far,
well not even so far at the end of the year.
But that is my choice, or that's our choice for
the few of the year for Pro Wrestling twenty five.
(06:10):
All right, the next category is going to be Technical
Wrestler of the Year. So who, in your opinion or
in our opinion or anyone else that's in the chat,
whether it's YouTube or discord, put your choices or opinions,
is pound for pound the best technical matt wrestler who
(06:32):
doesn't necessarily do anything that's fancy in the ring, just
goes in there and just ties you up, stretches you out,
makes you tap. Who is that wrestler justin I'm gonna
let you go first. You go first the time I
thought I did.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
No, I know, remember I went first in.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, okay, I did. Okay. So my pick it's pretty easy.
It's gounther gooonther to me is you know I've I've
said it about them. I mean I've said about him recently,
you know, especially with the scene of stuff. He's a
safe bet because you know he's going to go in
there and give you a good match. He's not gonna
(07:10):
do anything stupid or reckless. He's not gonna do things
he knows he can't do. He's just gonna go in
there and just wrestle. And his style of wrestling isn't
always going to be considered pretty or sexy, so to speak.
It gets the job done and it works because Gunther
is always going to have the best match on the
card regardless, and that's why he's my choice. As a matter
(07:32):
of fact, he's another winner on this list, which I
won't obviously won't mention until we get there, but Gooonther.
You know, out of everyone I've seen this year, is
still continues to be the most technically sound wrestler on
the card. So he is my choice.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
GUNT's a good one, and this was a harder one
for me.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
You know, I didn't really want to go with Gunther
just because it's it was too.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Easy, I guess.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
I guess the way I was looking at it too
as well, is like, you know, like who is like
literally like the most technical wrestler of the year, Like
you know, hoe for holds and you know, things things
that nature. Guntera he is very technical, but like you know,
I think to me, and this is gonna shock everyone here, Yeah, Charlie.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Gimpsey Charlie Dempsey as the best technical wrestler of the year.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
This guy is he's a grappler, you know, and also
on top of that as well, he's been improving a lot.
I don't know if you've been seeing what he's been
doing over there in TNA, but he's been showing some
stay improvement over there as well.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Now do I think he's become like a champion time soon?
And I don't think his.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Ceiling's very high at this point because he's been he's
been in WWE for a while now, but he's actually
been TNA more than WWE this year, I believe or not.
But but for the stuff that I've been seeing out
of Charlie Dempsey, you know, I am seeing the improvement
and he is putting together better matches for himself over
there too as well. So for me in Ring Weisse,
(09:10):
technical Wrestler of the Year is Charlie Dempsey.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Doesn't me he's better than Ruthor.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Though obviously right right, these are just our opinions right now.
I like Charlie Dempsey. I think I think he's someone
that he's kind of like who's Who's someone can reminds
who have only Laura Cannon a little bit except a
little better. But I think he does his job on
(09:36):
the show, and he does it well and and he's
a guy I would like to have on my card.
So next his TV show of the year. So which
wrestling TV show? Justin, were you a big fan of?
Speaker 1 (09:50):
We we just skip this? You got n XT, right XT?
All right, all right in next, let's everything else suck
this year? There's no reason to even go in detail
about this, like it's.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
I mean, I mean, I'll say a little bit. NXT
consistently has had the better year. I mean, like Justin
just said, you know RAW has been hit or miss.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Well, I mean not even just that, but like even
n XT this year it hasn't even been like all
great either.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
This is like my default.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Well, the first half, the first half of the year,
NXT was putting on some pretty good shows, especially the
Madison Madison Square Garden Show, you know, stuff with A
with a TNA and triple A. So yeah, they've they've
had really good shows this year. But yeah, by default
their heads and tails above. You know what's happening on
rall as far as wrestling goes, and just just an
(10:42):
overall show and SmackDown is just in a black hole.
It's such a forgettable show.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Terrible, bro terrible.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
And it's going back to three hours.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Lovely Yeah yeah, I mean and NXC to this point
too as well.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Like it's been, it's been getting better over the last
about three weeks till months now, you know it's been
getting better.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
But I mean it's.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Yeah, yeah, this is a done of a category.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
But whatever, all right, but yeahs as I I'm gonna
mention throughout this show. If you're in the discord the
YouTube chat room, post your thoughts down below. Sorry, So
next is a Faction of the Year.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Another done of a category.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you pick the
Judgment Day. No, okay, if I picked the Judgment Day. Really,
they've again, they've been consistent. They're one of the better.
I mean, they're the only good faction on WWE. Vision
has been underwhelming, Judgment Day. They have the most entertaining
(11:52):
segments they have the vision.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Has been underwhelming, but they've been most the most important
part and well yeah you got to you got to
Ascension of two Stars and they've been and they'd been
the main event you know, you know, I'm obviously in
the main event picture.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Through the entire year. How's it not the Vision? I
don't I look, I put this. It was me.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
It was either gonna be the Vision or the ops
from a W I don't have Judgment Day near.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
What was the Judgment A done this year?
Speaker 2 (12:25):
They've They've had the most entertaining segments. They've had the
most entertaining matches with Dom with Roquel.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
What was one entertaining match?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Tell me anything with Dom? Anything with JD? You want
me to literally name all of Dom's categories?
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Oh, I'm just saying name a match.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
I mean his match at WrestleMania where you want the
ear gott Il title. Any match on the Triple A
pay per views. Uh, JD's match with Seamous from a
few months ago, Roquel's match just recently with Stephanie. That
was a pretty good match. So yeah, again just my
personal taste the vision. Yeah, they are important to the
(13:04):
show because they are the focal point of raw. I
just I am more entertained by what Judgment Days doing.
Just me.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Right, So well, I got the vision, you know, I
think the ascension of bron Breaker and.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
In bron Breaker and the Brunson Reid was very important.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Seth Rollins, you know, obviously before he got injured, was
the number one piece of it, you know, was it
Dell stale in dull at times? Yes, but by everything
in twenty twenty five was to a certain extent, including
the judgment day, including the ops, including anything else over
there in aw, the fucking conglomeration, you know what I mean.
(13:48):
But you know, but I think the most consistent and
obviously as well the most important faction in twenty twenty
five and the best faction to twenty five is the
Vision all.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Right, fair enough, best announced team.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Uh it's my that's my tone to go first. Uh yeah, Uh.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Vic Joseph and Booker T from n x T H.
I mean they're just great. They have great chemistry. Bookers
fucking hilarious.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Uh. Big is getting better. He's very good in in
in n x C. I don't know if you'll be
as good on raw or smack Down, but in that
element of that.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Of that setting, that intimate setting, I think Vic Joseph
is fantastic at what he does and.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Burger T is like he's like all Booker has to
do is like, oh my good like anything.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Anything he says is hilarious and and it's very entertaining
and like you.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Know, like in Booker's like.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
The way he says some words where where he's like
it's going down right.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
I'm always laughing when Booker's.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
On there, and you know, you know, and and they
and they seem to get along genuinely with the TAZ
so Vic Joseph Booker.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
That's my best announce.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
You read my mind, Vic Joseph and Booker t that
was my announced team. I love them together. Booker is
just funny. He's just entertaining as as all hell. Vic Joseph,
I think I think Vic Joseph works better on NXC
because I think he went to the main roster at
one point he just didn't work. Vic works better in NXC.
(15:35):
He has he has very much that kind of dry
radio voice delivery, and it just and I came in,
Booker just get along like two people just naturally get
along that if you try to put them with someone else,
it wouldn't work, you know. I remember Corey, uh said
Corey Joseph, that was yeah. Corey Graves worked better with
(15:56):
Tom what's his name. He's on TNA now.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Phillips.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, they worked. I thought they were amazing together, you know,
and this might be an unpopular opinion. I thought Jim
Ross and Paul Hayman were better together than Jim Ross
and Jerry Lawler because they just they were the complete
opposites of each other. And that's why they always worked
all together. Whereas you know, you know, the voice of
(16:25):
money not raw, you know, on you know, for our
childhood was Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. But then you
have Paul Hayman come in, you know, with his loud
New York you know, attitude and just like piss off
Jim Ross. So you could tell Jim Ross was getting
pissed off. I'm like this, this works. I like I
like these two together. Yeah, I go back to the
(16:46):
yeah victim bookwork, which is why they are our announcers
of the Year. Rookie of the Year, I have a choice.
You're probably gonna laugh at me for it. Everyone else
is probably gonna laugh at me for it, but God
damn it, I don't care. I'm gonna keep k fab alive.
(17:09):
My Rookie of the Year for the year of twenty
twenty five is El Americano. El Americano people. He has
had the best year from top to bottom. He was
short at one point, then all of a sudden, he
got tall. He got them good jeans. Uh. He's gotten over,
not just with the WWE crowd, but with the Triple
(17:30):
A crowd, as he should. Uh. What's up? A threllles
to see in the YouTube chat room, and the guy
has some of the you know, has the best matches
on that show and also the w W show. He
even has his own group. So I stent that's my
that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. El Grande
Americano is my Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
This is a dreadful That was a dreadful pick. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
That is all awful pick. I'm sorry, but it's your pick.
So I'm gonna go with an actual rookie. I'm gonna
go with Kendall Gray. I think that especially over the
last couple a.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Couple of months. No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Chris when she started last did she Yeah? I think
I think she got well, I don't know, but Chris,
when she gots or you know what, I don't know. Whatever,
it's it's your pick. I'm gonna judge, but I mean
you already judge my pick.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
I mean, I mean, if it's wrong, I'm wrong, then
then I'll just I guess I'll pick nobody.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Then well, well, also, let's look at wrestling this way,
is that you could get signed at a certain point
in time the previous year, and your breakout year or
rookie or rookie year so to speak, can be like
your actual rookie year. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
No, I don't, I don't know't I don't think, but
I mean, but I mean even even at that too,
I mean, she I think because I think she's been
in developmental for like a couple of years.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Okay, yeah, right, she's a rookie then could oh, because
I to be honest, I didn't even hear about her
up until like a few months ago.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Oh no, because like, no, well she's she's been. She's
like she was like on level up and stuff too.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
I think, well, no, that's where I heard of her from.
And then you know, obviously on evolved. But uh yeah, yeah,
this is this is really this has been a big
year for her.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Anyway, whatever I was gonna go with Kendle Gray, there
you go.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
No, I like Kendall Gray. I like your pick. I
you know, we were raving about Kendall Gray, you know
after the NXC show. I think she's great. She she
has a future, you know, she's I mean, for all
we know, she could be Technical Wrestler of the Year
next you know, next year, so or for you know,
the experience you're into wards. But uh, that's a good pick.
(20:00):
Uh comeback of the year. So uh to define this namely, like,
who's someone that you know, either they did they came
back from a pretty serious injury, or they came out
of retirement to have you know, one big match or
what have you like? Who, in your opinion, has had
the best comeback of for pro wrestling in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
It's not even close as aj Lee A J Lee.
I mean, I mean, do you disagree.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I don't disagree. I just I wasn't thinking about I
wasn't thinking about aj which I should. But I'm I'm
I'm still gonna stick with my pick. But go ahead.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah, No, it's it's it's a j I mean, you know,
it's our wrestling friends decade. You know, as she came
back and Grahamy, she only wrestled to matches so far.
But but you know, to just think about this, like
if you were to like stop doing a certain thing
they did on a high level before you stop doing it.
(21:02):
It's like, let's say cooking, right, Let's say you're like
a high level chef and you stop cooking for ten
years straight. You didn't make you ain't make chicken, you
made nothing, right, you made nothing in ten years.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
You come back and you cook for the first time
in ten years a stop. You still cook pretty good.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Not as good as you used to, but you still
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
I mean, that's what I equivalent to. That to aj Lee
her coming back to me, she's I mean, once she
gets a little bit more reps, hopefully she'll get back
better in the ring. But uh, but yeah, that's my
that's my comeback of the year.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Now, feel kind of stupid about my choice.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
It's your choice.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
You know what I'm gonna do something, I'm not gonna
change mine. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna I'm not.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Gonna change Iliad because that's the only other one I
was really thinking of.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Dragon.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
I'm going to do a tie if that's okay, I'm
gonna do a tie with you.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Know.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Fuck it, I'm gonna do a three way tie. My
original choice was Samoa Joe, who was out for he
had well so he left last year to go film
the new season of Twisted Metal. No he got no,
he got hurt on set. He twisted his ankle and
(22:28):
he had to work through the pain. God okay, And
then he came back and now he's the a W
World Champion, which good because I love Joe. So I'm
gonna go three way tie Samoa Joe, A j Lee,
and Ilia Dragonoff because Ilia came back after being gone
for like what almost too almost two years and consistently
(22:52):
has come back and had had the best matches on
the show. So those are my picks, my your way
tie for Comeback of the Year. All right, now we're
getting into the trenches. Best entrance theme, So who justin
in your opinion, has the best. Oh, it's my turn.
(23:15):
My favorite. My favorite entrance theme is Opa Femi. I
just like that. I just like that theme. It it
fits him. I also like the little walk that he
does where it just where he just goes with the
beat of the song and it just it sounds like
something for someone who's supposed to be known as the
Ruler the Conqueror of NXT and pretty soon WWE. So yep,
(23:38):
that is my favorite theme. And I hope and fucking
if Deaf Rebel even thinks about touching that song, I
will kill them.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
I will kill the real nov Rebels death Rebel as
they get to twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
So yeah, good anyways.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Hopefully hopefully they.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
I mean, I don't want to see people get fired,
but uh, you know, but I I want WWE to
looking into better options for sure.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
So my.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Best wrestling theme, uh this he doesn't even have.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
His theme no more. He went back to his original theme.
But this theme to me is just pure what's the
word I'm looking for. It's like pure tragic for like,
it's like for the character. It fits the character.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
At that time very well, and you know, it's it's
something that's like I think this like this is not
ever gonna be a theme. I we'll probably will never
hear his theme song again. But hey man hay Man
Hangman page is black hat theme. Uh fucking amazing. His
(24:49):
Hill theme was uh fucking amazing. Kind of remind me
something of.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
The out of the maybe Red Dead a little.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Bit kind of sort of but but it's like it's
it's tragic, like you can tell that. Like when you
hear that, you know, it's like, oh shit, here comes
ay man, this guy's gonna, you know, come out and
you know, you know, fun some ship up and usually
he did.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
But yeah, that the black hey Man's black hat thing,
fucking amazing.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Love it all right, and I think you and Mere
Wait no, we're not there yet. Best talker of everyone
in w ww A, w what have you? It? Cuts promos?
Who do you think is the best at it? Or
it's my Oh wait, it's my turn, right, uhuh no,
it's my turn. Okay, So who's your favorite talker in wrestling.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
From this past year?
Speaker 1 (25:42):
This guy he had the mic in his hand more
than uh than Russell then actually Russell matches and uh
he had a great year promo wise, uh for the
most part, despite of what he was given storyline wise.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
As John Cena, all right, I'm going with John Cena.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
You're right. He you know the Sena retirement tour. If
you want to get our thoughts on it, it's from
last week, so go look up that episode. But the
retirement tour, we weren't that crazy about it. But Sena
really showcases promos this year. And Sena has always been
a good talker, but this year really allowed him to
(26:26):
really work the mic so to speak. So and it's
funny because that's my choice too. John John Cena has
been the best talker all this year. His heel turn,
you know, wasn't wasn't what we wanted it to be.
But those promos are fun those are those are funny.
(26:50):
Those are fun and funny. So John Cena is the
best talker of the year, finisher of the year. So
who what is our favorite wrestling finisher? I will go
first or I think I think it's my turnacle first.
Yeah it is, yeah, g at gts go to sleep.
That's my favorite. It's it's easy, it's simple, it can
(27:11):
knock anyone out, and uh, it's it's just my favorite.
It's just my favorite finisher.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
So is that is that? What just has one of
your favorite finishers of all time?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
No, well, well well well it's in my top ten.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
That is one of your favorite finishers of all time. Yeah,
that's that's fair of top tens. Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
You know my number one is you know the guys
who shirt I'm wearing the stunner.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
So, oh yeah, don't go.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, I know for me, for me, this is the
best finisher in wrestling. I know, I know, you got
ye know, the punk the gts, they know. There's a
lot of great finishers in wrestling and a lot of dynamic finishers.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Uh do mine? Heavn O G Cutter? I mean fucking
fucking great, fucking fantastic.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
You go with the will Os Ray's Hidden Blade, right
or oz Cutter one the other right? You know though
those look very very good. Well, I'm gonna go with
Leon Slayer's swans on four fifty. It is a fucking spectacle.
That was the best wrestling finisher in wrestling right now.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Don't at me. Leon Slayer's swans on four fifty is
the best finisher.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
That's It's a pretty fun looking finisher, all right. Paper
of the Year. I think you and me have been
saying for months with the Paper of the Years really
Evolution two oh okay?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Yeah yeah yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:46):
So I had that or Elimination Chamber all right, I
I was undecigned.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
I went with Evolution, but Elimination Chamber right there too
as well? What a great pay per view that was?
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, not even just the moment
at the end of the show, just the matches in
general were good.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Well, I mean j Has, Sammy's ay and Kevin.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Owens that the women's I remember the women's elimination chamber
being really really fun. Yeah yeah, especially with you know,
the the Jade Cargill a bit where she beat the
show Naomi right in front of Bianca and there's a
shot of Bianca going what are you doing? And the
(29:32):
men's was pretty good too, and obviously the moment at
the end. Uh yeah. But Evolution two was just really
really good, much better than the first, and it just
you know, the main event delivered, especially the moment at
the end with that Naomi, you know, cashing in her
money in the bank, So it made the show that
(29:53):
much better.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Yeah, it was. It was fantastic. Uh.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Shocking moment of the year. I think we are have
that down, I think and I first? Are you first?
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Uh oh yeah, you know, I'm first. I'm sorry about.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Obviously, Okay, yeah, Johnsena He'll turn Yeah, we know that
one of the best moments ever in wrestling period, best moment.
But I'm gonna go with another shocking moment too as well.
This is not my pick because I'm going with John Cena.
But and you're gonna, you're gonna, you're gonna.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Disagree for obvious reasons.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
But shocking, shocking when I was like, oh my god,
holy fucking ship, what the fuck am I watching?
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Right when fucking.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Hangman was stabbing Mocksley with a fork at fucking all
In and fucking Moxy just start gushing blood out of
his fucking head.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
That's a shocking moment. To say the fucking least. I
don't want to. I don't want us to.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Uh well, a lot of people me for one, for
day about that. But you can't forget about it because
that was a shocking moment. If rather, if you agree
with it or not, you don't have to agree with it.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
The counter was shocking moment.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
And yes, that was a shocking moment, So I have
to make sure I have to the shot that I
as well.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Man.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
You know, there was other shocking moments as well, but
though those are two that stuck would be but for
sure as John Cena's He'll turn.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Yeah, I mean, you know, going back. You know, that
was the best part of other than the promos, that
was the best part of the scenor heeltern because it
was the heel turn. It was shocking, and then you
know the aftermath yeah yeah, but the moment was huge
because we weren't even thinking about John Cena. We were
thinking could it be punk to go after Cody? The
(31:49):
setup was weird because it was the Rock you know,
gingerly stroking Cody's face and saying he wants a soul,
and then you know, Cody tells Rock go fuck yourself, which,
looking back at that moment, do you think that was
forced him saying go fuck yourself?
Speaker 3 (32:09):
H Then you visited, why do you think it's forced?
Speaker 2 (32:15):
It just felt forced because like he was already having
that moment of like, you know, my soul belongs to
these people, belong to this ring, so you will not
have my soul. But then like it just it almost
just came out of nowhere where he just like you know,
serious serious series, hell Rock, go fuck yourself? All right?
Speaker 3 (32:33):
He just blew out my speakers.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Thanks, thanks, sorry about that. I don't know, like it
just felt it felt force. Like it was a good
moment because it's like, oh, you know, someone said fuck
on ww you know, uh television or not television, But
like a pay per view, But I don't know the
in some if you.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Were in that situation, how would you respond.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
You probably won't say, hey, go fuck yourself, like when
you were spawn in something that was like something similar
to that. If someone were to ask you for your
song and you exactly say no, you.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Know what, you know what I think you should have?
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Yeah, go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
You know what I think you should have done. Instead
of just like pausing and going, hey, rock, he should
have just been like, you know, my soul belongs to
these people and to this ring, So your answer go
fuck yourself like it should have been that kind of delivery,
more of that matter of fact delivery, instead of just
being like I need to say something, you know more edgy,
(33:34):
Oh yeah, go fuck yourself. Rock. I don't.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
I don't. I don't. I didn't. I don't think I
saw it that way. Maybe I'm wrong, Maybe maybe the
chat season your way, but I don't. I mean that.
That's pro wrestling.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
You gotta you gotta build the moment up, you gotta
build the anticipation. You know it's but you know, but yeah,
I kind of see it from your standpoint sort of.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
So again I'm again let me clarify, like, I like
the moment. The moment was the moment was great. It's
just you know, I'm a movie buff, so I look
at this as a movie where I'm like that line
delivery could have been handled better. But oh that's just me.
Uh s where we at? Oh? Yeah, the twenty twenty
six is my year award. So who do you think
(34:19):
is capable of having a pretty big twenty twenty six?
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Uh, that's your terms.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
My choice is gonna be someone that already had a
pretty big moment on the or if anyone saw any
spoilers for the last episode of SmackDown, which I won't spoil,
is Carmela Hayes.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
I is gonna be watching Smackdell on Friday anyway. Okay,
but yeah, point taking.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
But h I listen. I like Carmerla Hayes. He's someone
that I've been wanting to do better on the main roster,
and it kind of looks like he's kind of going
that way. Will he be a world champion? No, but
you never know. That's why there's money.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Than I don't. I don't think it's a matter of fact,
like I think there's a I think there's.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Moral possibility but I mean I'm leaning towards no, but
I don't think it's like a matter of fact no,
because I need to start doing somebody stars in the
next few years, and you know, so.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
We'll see No.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
I agree, but love Carmela Hayes. I love that he's
featured heavily just success on SmackDown. But then again, you know,
it looks like SmackDown's kind of building up that roster
pretty soon because there's talk of Trick Williams showing up
on SmackDown, possibly even in a ole Femi. So look,
(35:41):
you know, SmackDown looks like it's gonna be worth watching.
So that is my twenty twenty six is my year
award recipient. Carmela Hayes.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
It's good pick.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
I thought you were gonna go with a low hanging
fruit with like with like a bron breaker or something
like that, but he's already had yeah, yeah, yeah, Well
I think twenty twentys is gonna be even bigger here.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
I mean, I expect to be world champions.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Well for someone like Broun, he's always treated I guess better,
like he's always being put in big spots on the show.
So I mean he's already had his time. But like
someone like Carmelo, I think ever since he's gone to
the main roster, it's been a struggle. And now it
looks like they're kind of giving him, giving him a
(36:27):
chance to really show what he's made of.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Well, we'll see, we'll see with that.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
But you know, I'm not gonna go with bron Breaker because,
like I said, as low Hanging Fruit, I'm gonna go
with someone else.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
From the well Bro.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
We don't know if he's gonna be in the vision
yet or not. I'm assuming he will call Austin theory.
This doesn't make a break here for Austin theory. If
Alston theory has a good twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Then the future is right for him.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
If he does not have a good twenty twenty six,
I think that's the last big chance, like we see
of Aalston theory to be put in a position like this.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
We'll see how it goes. We'll see what WW does
with them.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
But I personally think that if they're gonna be there's
two ways that they're gonna go about this, right, maybe
three ways. Either Austin theory joins the vision right, and
you know, Seth Rollins, you know, sees that, oh you
took my spine division they and you know, they have
a feud, right maybe at wrestle Mania or something like that.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
You know, maybe we'll see or Austin Theory joins the
Vision and tries.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
To stop the Vision within, you know, kind of being
like a decoy or whatever.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
That says Rollins played there, and you know, he destroys
the division within. Or this might to me the most
realistic one.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
I think ron Breaker is gonna win the World Wind Championship,
and eventually I think that's gonna be a few down
the line of a breakup of the Vision South to
Orleans versus Austin Theory, and that's how you gallus and thirty.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
In the main event picture.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
I think I think that's something that they can do
long term. Maybe you know, this is like, you know,
maybe a year down the line from today, right, but
I could definitely see something like that too as well.
Maybe maybe hey, who knows, maybe that's maybe that's Saaldy
Wrestling Mania.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
I don't know. Maybe I don't know. Maybe maybe maybe
it's also.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Versus bron Breaking for the World Wins Championship at Salty
Wrestlingia in twenty twenty seven, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
God no Austin theory. I'm he's a guy that he
has a good look, he can work, he can talk.
It's just you know, changes in management is really what
kind of causes downfall, so to speak. So I'm I
think everyone knew it was going to be him, but
(38:54):
it's one of those things of just like, Okay, let's
see what he can do on a bigger with a
bigger spotlight on him, see how you can pull it off.
And I don't know, let's let's let's see if this
year is this year and I root for anyone to
succeed in the wrestling business that wasn't always given a
fair shake. So we'll see what a theory is made of.
Oh to do most Improved Wrestler of the Year, So justin,
(39:18):
who do you think has really shown you what they're
made of in the year of twenty twenty five? Is attorney?
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Well, this guy here, he is one of the few
people I like on aw television, right, and I think
this guy has not only like I'm I'm training this
war not most improved, but breakout, breakout star of twenty
(39:49):
twenty five.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
I'm going with Kyle Fletcher.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
I think I think his his ascent of turning heel
character change, having great matches and being treated as far
as being one of the more consistently puked guys in
a good way.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
One of the few things that tait Con has done
right this year has been Complexer.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
And do you can tell that they want to push
him to the world title maybe in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
We'll see, you know, maybe maybe once the world time
in twenty twenty six or even twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
But you can tell that now all the guys are
the stop and start and pull you know, you know,
start and stop pushes that aw has done over the
last year a year and a half. The only guy
that has consistently gone up the ladder a little by
little and maybe one little tiny step by the time
is being Complexer. And the complexer from twenty twenty four
(40:47):
is not the same from the conflicter in twenty twenty five.
And I think he's going to prove even more in
twenty twenty six. So uh, that's my pick.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Com Fletcher.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
Yeah, I was thinking about whatever their category as I should, like,
you know, alter the title breakout Star sounds better, so
going so I'm gonna do mine. I mean to change
mind a breakout star or yeah, breakout star. Javon Evans.
He was already good last year, but this year he's
really shown that he can hang with the big dog,
(41:19):
so to speak. You know there they really want to
put the gas behind this dude. And he's been on
not just n XC, but w W Raw, SmackDown, Triple
A and Impact. He was on an Impact pay per
view and him and Leon had you know, one of
the best matches of the year. And this guy is
(41:40):
only going to get better, especially when you have him
work with you know, other top tier talent on the
w W roster like an a j or a Punk
or a Seth, and you know, the sky's the limit
for him. So this is this has truly been his
breakout year. And I already mentioned I don't know if
we're doing those I said rock Uhil Rodriguez because she
(42:05):
was always good in NXC, then when she got to
the main roster, she kind of hit a lull. And
then there was the problem with her health if anyone's
not familiar with it. And then there's the thing with
Kevin Nash or Kevin Nash kind of called her out
saying that she works too small and anybody else would
have folded and like wind about it. She kind of
(42:26):
owned up to and she's like, yeah, you know what,
you're right, Kevin Nashes telling me any I need to
work bigger, I'm gonna work bigger. And she has and
she's you know, consistently had pretty good matches on raw
and you know, it's refreshing to see a young talent
just listen to a veteran and just be like, you know,
you're right, I need to work better. So but Javan
(42:46):
is my breakout star. Underrated, So someone who's always been
good so to speak, well not even so to speak,
someone who's always been good, but now the public is realizing, Wow,
this this dude's just like really fucking good. Where has
he been all this time? So I I went with
(43:08):
j D McDonough. He had that pretty scary, you know
bit earlier this year where he where he's like neck
almost snapped pretty much was out for a bit and
then came back and it was almost like a brand
new wrestler. And every match he's been in he's always
like had a fire in him and just wants to
(43:30):
go out there and just prove that he's the best
in the ring and it's it's fun to watch. And
also he was the last person to get pinned by
John Cena on Raw, or just the last person get
pinned by John Cena in general, so that's a pretty big,
uh career milestone for him. So Jad mcdonal's my most underrated,
(43:54):
very good.
Speaker 1 (43:55):
Pick because I really liked Jaj mcdunn. But the way
I treat this is a restler. Your definish is a
little bit different from mine. It'd be a very good
wrestler that probably is just not even talking about much
at this time.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
I want, I want to cano Skate Takeusha.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
I think, I think, yeah, I think Takesha like maybe
a year or two ago, was getting talked about.
Speaker 3 (44:18):
More and now he's not really getting talked about. But
he still haven't really gave good matches. You know, I
don't really see a bad Takesha match.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
And on top of that too is well, he is
the iw GP World Big Champion, so you know, you know,
so you got to wrestle Kingham coming coming up in
a couple of weeks, and uh, he's gonna be going
up against Yellow Suji and I'm assuming they're finally got
on yet let a young guy win uh the iw
(44:46):
GP Championship, a homegrown new Japan talent. So so hopefully
Yosuji does come out as champion, but that should be
a damn good match.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
And I don't think a lot of.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
People have been talking about Takesha because he's been over
there in U Japan doing this thing over there, and
you know, he's been part on Kallis family having good
matches in a w but they haven't really been paying
focus him in a big way in AW So eventually's
gonna be him versus on Call at some point too,
So that should be pretty good.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
But that that's my underrated wrestler of the year to
catch the noise.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
All right, So we have some new categories here, heel
wrestler of the Year, So who justin is your choice
of the most dastardly, mean spirited evil person in the
wrestling world.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
So for me, a lot of people in this category,
they're gonna go, oh, dumbasterial, dumbisterial, dumbsterial dom.
Speaker 5 (45:48):
This year.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Was not as great of a hill he's had a
He had a better year this year, but he wasn't
as good of a heel. You want to know why,
because he's getting cheered.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
He's getting positive reactions, right, and more positive reactions that
you gating he's.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
Gonna be bay Face. He's gonna be bay Face next year.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
It's inevitable, right, So not saying you didn't have you
know it didn't have a good year.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
He had a great year Doma Cereal. But for me
in particular, I am going with someone who had a
He'll Turn this year, and yeah, yeah they did get
positive reactions.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
At times, but man, their heel character is so good
and they're still doing some good work right now, even
from this past Monday.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
I am going with the man Becky Lynch. At first,
He'll Turn was a little you know, was it guy?
Speaker 1 (46:41):
A little bit time to get used to, but man,
she really really became into got into the role with
that few with Liar Virkia, and you know, she's been
doing some good work. Even the stuff with aj Lee
great work as well. You know, going to Russell Balooza,
go on, Beggy Lynch. Bega Lynch is my best hill
(47:04):
in wrestling in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
That's a good choice. I've been entertained by Becky's I've
been entertained by Becky's a social media how she's just
like crashing out of social.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Media that too as well. That's also helped.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
She's been amazing. I want with Gunther. I think Gunther
is just he's kind of the ultimate heel. He doesn't
care if you like him. He doesn't care if other
heels like him. He doesn't even care about other heels.
He only cares about himself. He represents European excellence. I
(47:40):
don't think I've ever heard him get cheered. Maybe a NXC,
but you know back you know in NXC they cheer everything.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
How long, how long goother is? Well, how long good
has been around? This year? He's been around for like
less than like six months this year for the most part.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Yeah, they do like to preserve him a lot, because
he did he got hurt. I know in the Punk match.
I had heard he was gonna take time off for
like dental surgery or something like that, or some kind
of surgery. And yeah, he goes through these lulls where
like you know, when he was a champion, you would
see him every week obviously, or he would just like
do a vignette, and then when he wasn't Champion. There
(48:17):
was a point where he wasn't on TV all that much,
and it made sense because for someone like gnther, you
need to preserve him, you need to have something interesting
for him. If he's just gonna appear every week and
just you know, stand there and look menacing, it's like
you're kind of wasting his time in our time.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
So I'm surprised you didn't go with Ethan Paige, by.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
The way, but.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
Ethan Page is somewhere on this list. But AnyWho, going
through is my heel. Ethan Page was.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
It was either Bean Page for me and I with Becky.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Ethan is a close second, and Becky was a close third.
So but going through is to me the ultimate heel.
All right, now that we're talking about the bad guys,
or we're done talking about the bad guys, We're gonna
talk about the good guys justin because we're good guys, right,
Babyface Wrestler of the Year. So who has been the
(49:14):
ultimate good guy? The Superman, the Captain America, the Goku
a Professional wrestling or is it my turn?
Speaker 3 (49:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (49:25):
For sure, I keep forgetting Babyface Wrestler of the Year.
I mean, it's kind of obvious Cody Roads. Like he
he's the I mean he's the man, not Becky Lynch,
but he's the man. As far as like he sells merch,
he's there every week. He's pretty much gonna be the
new John Cena as far as like the new Captain America,
the guy signing autographs after Actually, I mean he still
(49:48):
does that, I believe, where after every show he stays
to sign autographs. Uh you see him interact with fans
and he's the ultimate good guy. Everyone loves him and
adores them. There was that lull in uh Las Vegas
where he got booed, but then again that was Vegas.
You can't really judge one crowd. And he's the American Nightmare,
(50:09):
the American roller coaster, and uh yeah, Cody Roads. That
is my choice for baby face rest of the year.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Good choice, good choice. I didn't go with Cody. I
just felt that to your point, there was at times
where he was getting mood a little sporadically throughout the
year with the w W crowds.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
With this guy.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
To me, I don't really have him here, really heard
him got booed much this year at all from the
AW crowds.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
And I was gonna go with Swrove Strickling originally, but
he was out for a while. I was gonna go with.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Someone like a Well of Spray, but he's been out
since like what August, So I went with hang may
Adam Paige and saying why Hayman comes out there and
with that AW crowd he gets. I don't really hear
anyone really feeling indifferent about him. Everyone's saying cowboys shit
going crazy for him. They're going crazy for him at all.
(51:15):
In they went crazy for him with this match against
Ospring for one of the the finals for the Owen
Cup or Owen Hart Invitational. He just gets positive reactions now,
regardless of what happened with his booking and what Twayne
Conn's done that's completely different. But despite that, he is
(51:36):
still getting very positive reactions.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
He sells merch with the AW fans as well, and
he's just beloved.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
So yeah, I'm going with the Hayman page as my
white Meat, white Meat peer baby face of the Year.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Cowboys shit all right, uh, tag team of the Year.
So it's kind of tricky, but justin who do you think, well,
what tag team do you think? I said, consistently the
best year.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
So there, there's there's two teams I have here, but
I'm gonna go with and I'm still debating in my
hair right now.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
I may switch it here in the last second in
my head, but I wanna go with Brodido. Okay, I
mean WWE. You can't.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
There's nobody in ww you can actually pick and and
actually say like, yeah, that's that's the best tat team
in wrestling in five there's nobody, like, there's literally nobody
over there that you can honestly pick.
Speaker 3 (52:41):
So I'm gonna go with Brodido.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
I didn't go with a WWE tag team. I went
with a TNA tag team. And that's the Hardys, the Hardy's.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
That's the second team. That's the second team.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
Consistently, from the beginning of the year to now, they
have had the best year. The matches I've been good good.
I wouldn't say they've been amazing or blew my mind,
but they've been pretty good and entertaining. Jeff can still
go Matt, Matt is Matt. That's the nicest way to
put it. But yeah, consistently they've had the best year.
(53:14):
They had that return early in the year and the
n XT where they wrestled was it QCC, Yeah, and
it was a it was a big reaction, like for
someone like me who grew up on the Hardies like
it was, it was fucking awesome seeing him back in
w w E and then you know, shown up in
other NXT shows and you know the match with the Dudley's,
(53:36):
which again wasn't a great match so to speak, but
it had a big moment to it because it was
the last time you got to see these guys rustle together.
So and also not for nothing, the Hardys won the
p w I Tag Team of the Year award, so
or they were the number one rated tag team on
the p w I Tag Teamless so but good.
Speaker 3 (53:57):
I was gonna pick the Hardys. The reason why we
went with Brodia because I think they had the.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Better quality matches, right, you know, they've been a tag
team for a short time. But if you're going with
longevity for the year, you know, the hardest is you
know the correct decision as well, So either war but
I mean honestly, I don't really I don't see how
like and that's just a complete malpractice of tag teams
(54:23):
in WWE right now.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Like, Like I mean, what I mean, who who the
fucking nick? I mean, you're sharing fucking Alexa Bliss, Like, oh,
you're gonna pick Dark State, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Like even like like Fraxim, like like we know that
Fraxium is legitimately the best tag team in.
Speaker 3 (54:39):
The world, but they wan't treat like in twenty twenty five,
you know what I mean. So I can't pick them,
you know what I mean. I can't pick the Judgment Day.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
You know, I can't pick the LWO or NFTs or
Morrisey Machine Guns or or Street Profits.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
Street Profits.
Speaker 1 (54:55):
They're possibly one of the best tag teams in the world,
but they may not be in WW twenty two.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
So yeah, you know, so you know it's it's just
is what it is.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
Ww's tag team division is the weakest IS has been
in in quite some time.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Agreed, very much agreed and also not for nothing. I
do like I from what I've seen, I do like
Brodido from what I've seen from them. I like brody
King a lot. Like that's the guy where I'm like,
you can do something with him. Bandido Bandido For years,
like r J has been like preaching, this has been
(55:32):
like seeing this guy's praises and I'm like, okay, I'll
watch him, and I watch him like, you know, he's good.
He's good, he's talented, like in him and him and Brody,
you know, work well together. So one of the few,
one of them, one of the brade spots say, you
wuted me. All right, So now we're in the final
three female Wrestler of the Year. So is it me first?
Speaker 3 (56:01):
Believe?
Speaker 2 (56:02):
Yeah, wait, yeah, it's me first because you went last
with the Tag Games. Uh, female rest of the Year.
I think this year has been pretty good for female
wrestling or women's wrestling. I'm sorry, and it really to me,
it was it was a struggle because I'm like, there's
two I have in mind, but one kind of supersedes
(56:25):
the other one and it's not really a knock on
the other one. But you can't go wrong with EO
Sky as your female rest of the year. It's like
Eo I don't want to say she's had a breakout year,
but for a while it just seemed like she was
kind of just there, you know, with the Kabooki Warriors,
and she's had a breakout year.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
As far as popularity, exactly how popularity broke out completely this.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
Year exactly, and she just consistently has the greatest man
on the show, not even just for the women, for
the guys. You know, she even has like better matches
than the guys, and like you said, her popularity. I
was actually thinking about adding a category for most popular
Wrestler of the Year, but I would think that that
(57:15):
would kind of be the same as as Babyface rest
of the Year, not necessarily Okay, then next year I
might add a new category. Yeah, Eo, you can't go
wrong with her. Like I always say about Gunther, Goomther
is a safe bet. Eo is a safe bet. So
Eo is my female wrestler of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
So I'm gonna cheat here.
Speaker 1 (57:43):
Because I hate splitting male wrestler and female wrestler of
the year. And the reason being is because it makes
it seem like when if you pick mail wrestler the year,
that the female is not as important, not not as important,
but it will be perceived at as as the male
(58:03):
wrestler being better than the female. So I'm just gonna
do straight Wrestler of the Year, and I'll tell you
my runner up. My runner up is Seth Rollins. I
think seth Rollins before the injury injury had a great
twenty twenty five And if you want to call him
my male wrestler year, okay, that's me wrestled year. But
the pro Wrestler of the Year of twenty twenty five
(58:26):
is el Si. She is the pro wrestler of the
Year twenty twenty five. And I want to make sure
that that said not just female arrest of the year.
She is the pro wrestler of the year bar none.
The best consistent matches she's been on TV consistently obviously
(58:47):
right her popularity as we talked about as well, she
stepped up and the and she's a very.
Speaker 3 (58:54):
Focal point for what WW is doing.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
And the matches with Rhea, the cripple threats, you know,
the tag matches, just everything that she's been doing in
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (59:06):
Like like like when I first heard of Io Sharai
and like you know, on like.
Speaker 1 (59:12):
Twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, and fucking Dame Meltzer's like, yeah,
she's the wrestler of the Year, and I was like,
really a woman could be really Rustled of the year
is like twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, the ones I start
seeing her stuff over there and start them.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
I was like, oh okay, oh yeah, yeah, she's she's different.
She's not just uh, you know, your regular you know,
a wrestler.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
Right then you know Nasar singing her praises and people
are like, you know what what you know what what
are you talking about this Japanese wrestler for you know
what I mean?
Speaker 3 (59:41):
You know you know she can't can she Is she
really that good? No, she's really that fucking good.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
And when she came to the next to see people
really saw her like Okay, yeah, she's really that fucking good.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
It is ill for me.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
As of right now, is one of my top three
women's wrestlers of all time. By all I'll say that
she may be my favorite room is wrestler ever. Well,
I love her, I I adore I love her.
Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
I love everything about her, her ring, her demeanor, her charisma, Yes,
charisma for days.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Yeah, but yeah, par rust of the Year for me
twenty twenty five Elsky And if you want to say
mail wrestler Year, mel Rustler yourself rollins.
Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
So there you go. All right, So I guess since
we're doing things differently, I'm still going to stick to
Meil Wrestler the Year, but Mayol Wrestler of the Year
ethan Page. To me, I think eighth and page. Maybe
I'm just being biased. Uh, he had a really good
year last year. I think that he's having He's had
(01:00:42):
an even better year this year. On NXT, he's pretty
much mister NXT. He's the most interesting guy on the show.
The guy can talk. The guy. A lot of people
try to compare him with the Miz, and I can
see why, but I buy him more as a wrestler
than the Miz. And it's not ring for sure, better
(01:01:02):
in ring, better on the MIC has consistently the better matches.
He had a pretty good match over the weekend on
the Triple A Show. I hate the fact that he's
still doing the fucking Iguana ship, but whatever, and that's
kind Remember.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Remember mister Iguana.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
Remember when people are saying like, oh, put this guy
in the main roster and I was over here like no, no,
you know want the main roster like it was. Wait,
now there's a new characters. Dan Housen, right, Dan Hols
is gonna get signed by w W.
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
I would like to think you that he is right.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
I don't want to see Dan Housen on the main
roster n XT triple A fine, not the main roster though,
right like like Jesus Christ, but I digress, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
It was cute for like the first week, and after
that it's like, no, no, this is why, this is
why this is niche but no, Ethan, that's I guess
that's kind of a testament to his abilities, is that
you give him stupid shit, he can make it work somehow.
You know, not a lot of people can do that.
So he again, just my male wrestler of the year,
(01:02:15):
Love him, love anything he does. Kind Of worried about
what's going to happen when he gets to the main roster,
but hopefully they see what we've all been seeing. Hopefully've
been seeing what Shawn Yeah, agreed, agreed. I was kind
of hoping the vision like he would be the mass Man,
but you know they won't with Austin theory. So cool.
(01:02:38):
All right, now we're at the Peace Deela Resistance Match
of the Year, Wrestling match of the year, best wrestling
match of the year, Favorite mess wrestling match of the year.
What have you justin in your opinion, in your heart
of hearts? Oh you're your your first, okay, well am
(01:03:00):
I because yeah, okay, the best my favorite wrestling match
of the year, and I was torn. There was one,
there was one pl match, and then there was a
match on NXC that I fucking loved. But I'm like,
I don't know, feels weird given them a television match
(01:03:22):
Match of the Year, but it's gonna be a close
second that match in particular, but this match, and I
think everyone's I think this might be everyone's favorite match
of the year. Eo Sky Rear Ripley and Bianca bell
A WrestleMania forty one, hands down the best match of
the year, the best match of WrestleMania, that's for sure
(01:03:43):
from this year. And these three, like we always talk about,
like there's always there's been this new thing coming out
about wrestling soulmates. I think these three are each other's
wrestling soulmates because Ria has the thing going on with EO,
and they always have great matches together. EO's had good
matches with with Bianca. Bianca hasn't really wrestled that much
(01:04:07):
against Rhea, which is it's kind of interesting how they're
kind of keeping those two apart somewhat. But this match
worked because the build up of it wasn't all that great.
I remember that. But once that bell rang, these all
three of these just all three of these women just
went out there and just created magic. They created gold,
(01:04:28):
They created a gold, platinum record, you know, a number
one box office hit. And the match is just good
from beginning middle end, And you know, I had to
rewatch this match again to maybe better understand it and
then think, dad, I really loved as much as I
thought I did, And then I was like, no, I
(01:04:49):
love it even more now. So this is my favorite
wrestling match of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
I don't want to discredit Also Ill Versus.
Speaker 3 (01:05:06):
Evolution.
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
I think that's the best one on one Winen's match
of the year for sure, the triple Threat.
Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
That is my runner up for this year.
Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
But I mean you got a whole I mean, you
got tons, tons of matches, But but what was your
NXC match By the way, it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
Was Ethan Pageer's just Mustafa Ali. No, that was really good.
That was a fucking I mean if I mean, I mean,
this is a reward, but like you know, it's it's
the best TV match of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
No, No, it's it's up there, It's up there for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
You know, And and I have a list of runner ups,
but we're not gonna do that right now.
Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure,
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
But no, but also to mention as well, I really
so I'll say this too as well.
Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
And you didn't see this match, but EO Sky.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Versus Mayu, EO, Tommy and Mario Gold, I think it
was grand destiny, phenomenal fucking match. I really like as
far as pure in Ring that EO, that EO and
Mayu had, I think this was in October when they
had this match. I think as far as in ring,
(01:06:28):
like pure in Ring is the best women's match of
the year, like just pure in Ring. But it didn't
you know, I wasn't really fully invested into it, like
I I you know, I knew the backstort between two,
but I wasn't really fully invested.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Into it as it was EO in Ria.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
But I got three women's matches, you know, and in
runner up, so that's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
But also aw.
Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
Match, I mean, despite despite what people need to think
about it, I mean, no, I like the women's blind guys,
I like I like.
Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Hayman versus a mocks at all in the Bloodfests. I
loved it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
You know, you had Hayman versus Osprey, the uh the Owen,
the Owen Invitational Tournament a final. But my match wasn't
from w w E. It wasn't from NXT, it wasn't
(01:07:35):
from a W It wasn't from You're Japan, it wasn't
from Marigo. It is from TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory.
It is Javon Evans versus Leon Slater. Look, yes, I
know that the finish was ship. But despite that, even
with that fucking lane finish, the match itself was.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
Fucking dynamic, the count and like like it. Actually this
match made him on a team that was on TV,
so you know it's these two are the future.
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
They're uber athletic and like, like to me, like, I don't,
I don't think it's gonna be as what's the word
I'm looking for, as as revered as a Ricochet and
Osprey at Ballot super Juniors when they're were doing when
they did like those fucking uh when they did like
(01:08:29):
the fucking Marble stunts and ship like that.
Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
You know, they did like the superhero polls and all
that shit.
Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
I don't think it's gonna be revered as that because
that's gonna be the more famous match. But I can
see for this generation that that's gonna be the next
evolution match where people are gonna look like Okay, that's
where wrestling went up another level as far as that lessons,
and that was one of the most athletic matches I
ever seen. My match of the Year Travne Evans versus
Leon Slader for the Exhibsion title bat Glory.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
And that, people, that is the end of our list.
That is the end of our year und awards. Anyone
listening to the YouTube chat and also discord, put your thoughts,
put your choices as to who you thought had the
best wrestling match of the year for twenty twenty five.
But that was a good list. That took up most
(01:09:20):
of the show. We're already over an hour. Justin you
mentioned there was something else you wanted to do after
the list.
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Yes, yes, yes, so we just did you know, you know,
we just recapped and gave our works between twenty five
at the beginning of this year. I don't know if
you remember, we gave our bold preditions for twenty twenty
five and I still have them. Here would you like
to go over them and hear what our predictions were
(01:09:48):
at the time, and we can kind of discuss on
if somebody's came true, if somebodys may come true in
twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
And if we're wrong in some of these.
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
So yes, sir, all right, let's go for it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Okay, we'll start with your first prediction. Do you remember
any of your predictions by by any chance? No?
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
I don't, okay, all right, yeah, I barely remember mine when.
Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
I when I when I pulled this up, so your
first bowl would remember these were bold predictions. Your first
boat prediction was NXT over one million viewers on on
any week.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Do I do they did they get over one million viewers?
I don't remember. I don't think they did. No, they
don't think they got over one minute? Yeah? Okay, well, I.
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Mean, I mean, I mean, to be fair, does it
does anybody besides smacked on a roll get a million viewers?
Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
Not really, but you know that's true. But that's why
it's both predictions. So uh, my uh first boat prediction
was and damn it, God, damn it, if this was like.
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
If it was if it was fourteen months long and
not twelve months long for the year, and I think
this would have came true.
Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
But Dominic Mysterial be the next big babyface.
Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
Kind of half right, yeah, kind of sort of.
Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
I mean he don't he's definitely more game, more positive
cheers something he was. But so you know, I'll get
myself out a point for that, all right, all right,
So your next prediction, and we did five predictions as well,
by the way, so this is Drew's second prediction.
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
Was rear Ripley Hill turn sim to say that that
did not happen. But again, these were these were boat predictions,
and you never you never know, you never know, she
may turn Hill. Uh, you know, on the she got
eight days left, so you never know. Crazy things that
happened w W you know. But you know what, you know,
(01:11:47):
Triple H is so safe this year that I.
Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Don't see that happening either. So this one here, I'm
kind of right, I will say, kind of.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Oh no, well no, technically I'm wrong actually, but my
next prediction was one big name will leave both major
companies for me. Well, I guess you could say, because
it's not official yet, but Chris Jacko is the only
way out of a w N.
Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
Yeah, he's probably gonna be going to w w E.
So I don't there's not a major name that's left
w w E to a W I don't know. So
so yeah, I was wrong on that one.
Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
So your third prediction out of five, what we if
you have to think, if you have to remember and
think about yourself, what we we think?
Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
Uh, we think one of your predictions could have been
if you have to think, I.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Don't even remember what I did this morning, Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Right, no worries, Yeah, no worries. So you picked and this,
this to me, wasn't a bold prediction. This is like,
this is as safe as safe that Drew can get.
And I don't even I don't even really, I don't
even really know what our conversation was at this time.
Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
I may have been like, hey, that's you know, it's
too safe for a big brother, but one name we'll.
Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Leave a W w w E.
Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
Yep, what happened twice again?
Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
You know that was one of his bold predictions. And yeah,
so he was correct on that. This one here was
a bold prediction by me. And remember this.
Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
We did this in the first week of January and
this definitely came true. This is the best prediction out
of at anyone, at anything here, this is a this
is the best prediction and it came true.
Speaker 3 (01:13:59):
W W, he will start something air national new promotion, partnership,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
Fucking trouble A yeah, fucking trouble a. So I yeah,
so I definitely, Uh, I was definitely spot on with
that one. That was possibly the most spot on.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
Spot on prediction. Now anything, Uh your next position prediction?
You got two more left here. This one's gonna sing
a little bit, Drew, because this is gonna sing a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
You know what, I have a feeling. I have a feeling.
I know what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:14:35):
What what do you think it is?
Speaker 2 (01:14:36):
Did I predict something about Cross having a big gear?
Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
Not only not only not necessarily you say that he's
gonna have a big year, but he said he he
will be a champion.
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
God, well he's become a champion of the people if
that counts. No, I mean, I mean he's done well
even posts WWE. You know he's still gets booked. You know,
he has his book, he has a movie coming out,
so he's done pretty well.
Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
But yeah, he I mean, I hope the best room
because I do like Cross but yeah, we want cross movement.
Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
Died faster than you know, we want truth.
Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
So yeah, that was a quick and that was a
quick and painful death.
Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:15:23):
So it so unfortunately you were incorrect about that as
I as I was I with this one. Roman Rains
wabble losing record in twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
Five You're right, No, he won.
Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
He's one more matches than he's lost.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
Right, Let's see, he lost the WrestleMania main event, he
lost the Rumble. He lost against Bronson Reid.
Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
Oh shit, you're right. Hold on, let me look up
his right, let me let me go to cage match
real quick.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
I think I know. He beat Bronson Reid.
Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Oh yeah, he lost War Games too.
Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
Oh damn. I guess I was right this year.
Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
Yeah, you're right. Give you some brother God.
Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
Okay, okay, tribal combat. He beat Salsicle on the first
row on Netflix. He lost the Rayer Rumble. I'm not
really gonna count the Rayer Rumble, you know, but whatever.
Triple threat match. H jays And defeated bron Breaker and
(01:16:26):
Bronson Reid. R Rings defeated Bronson Reed. Bronson Reid defeats
rom Rings.
Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Yeah, he has a losing record this year. Holy shit,
I from he only he only had.
Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
One, two, three, four, five, six, if he only had
eight matches this year, eight matches?
Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
Crazy?
Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
Alright, I guess I was right on that one, Okay,
I thought was wrong. And your last one here, this
one is definitely a joke. I don't know if you didn't.
I don't know if you didn't come up with a
another another prediction or anything. But you said, Jeff Jerry
will be a champion twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
I think I was fucking around because he was yeah, no,
I know, yeah, I know you had to. He was
doing the thing with MJF. I'm like, you know, fuck
with the with the way A w's go, right, I'll
probably be champion.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Oh that that didn't happen, but I won't. You know,
we won't hold that against you. And this one, this
one you can hold against me. Because I was very optimistic.
Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
We were talking about AW and I was like, man,
there's no way that twenty twenty four is gonna be
no way that twenty twenty five is gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
Be worse than twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
Then than for adw Right, I said, AW has a
better twenty twenty five than twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
Boy was I wrong. They had a dreadful year. Dreadful year.
Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
Some right spots, as we talked about here throughout this podcast,
but mostly dreadful. Aw did not in fact had a
better year in twenty twenty five than twenty twenty four.
So uh, those were our both predictions from for twenty
twenty five. And you know what, maybe we'll do it again.
That was the first podcast up by twenty twenty six. Well,
(01:18:09):
we'll do we'll predictions between twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Six, yes, sir, all right, So yeah, people, that is
that is our last show of the year because we're
not doing a show next week. Well we usually take
the first it's usually the first or last. It's usually
the last week of December of the first week of January, depending,
But yeah, we're not gonna have a show next week.
(01:18:32):
Hopefully there'll be some other shows on the channel, but
as far as the experience goes, this is the last
show of the year. And you know, it's been a
pretty it's been a pretty it's been a very fun
year for the show. The YouTube channels getting more subs.
We're currently at one the reels, the reels or what
(01:18:53):
really does the trick and uh, yeah, I want to
thank Justin for I want to give him credit for
really putting on YouTube, which I wasn't always I did.
I guess in some ways I was kind of lazy
and a little scared to try it, but you know,
Justin kind of pushed me towards that and also showed
(01:19:13):
me how to you know, work obs And yeah, I
say every week, you know, without Justin, the show wouldn't
work the way it does. And I mean it because
Justin this is his show as much as his mind,
which is why I don't call it Dreuiardi experience. It's
the experience. It's it's not just my show, it's Justin show,
it's RJ show, It's Ruben show, it's Jeff show, it's
(01:19:35):
definitely mister Shaw. But no, Justin, thank you for another
great year and let's see what twenty twenty sixcess for us.

loved animals. So anyone you know, and I we're not
getting paid to do. I mean it's charity. You don't

try something new, Expect to fail, Expect to fail. Feeling's good,
it teaches you shit. So uh yeah, but yeah, I'll

just say that. Yeah, just don't don't be afraid to
try something new, try to get better every day. And yeah,
