Speaker 1 (00:22):
It is time for but Drew Yaris shoe Drew Yari.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
All right, all right, all right, we are ready people.
It is Wednesday, uh nine oh six pm Central time
here in San Antonio, and we are ready for another
episode of The Experienced People. I'm Drew and with me
as always.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Justin from Spinebustert's and Spinebusterte's dot com.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
All right, and it's a very newsworthy show because we're
jam packed full of news. I guess question, uh, do
you want to just get the news out of the
way first and then do the shows or do the
shows first?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I will say, go what you feel is most important.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Well, I would say the news are more important. I mean,
obviously Triple Mania is maybe the more important show because
it happened over the weekend. Yeah, and then of course
we have the two shows that are come out this weekend.
So let's get the news out of the way. And
that's kind of our I guess what do you want
to talk about? You know, portion of the show but news, news, news,
(01:50):
So let's go after ESPN. Let's kind of get that
out of the way because that's more fresh in everyone's minds.
So we talked about on the show. I think like
two or three weeks ago that WWE had already signed
a big deal with ESPN which was supposed to start
(02:12):
next year technically, well not technically but it was. But
the hell, okay, it's got some weird message from Obius. Anyways,
we're fine, but that the pay per views were gonna
be on on ESPN and not on Peacock. But it
(02:33):
seems like that's not the case anymore. So they're starting
pretty early, starting next month September, with the debut being
a Laala not Lalla Pala Russell Paluza, which is a
which I believe was an ECW pay per view yep,
so we're starting early with that. That being said, the
(02:55):
the class in France pay per view or Paris is
it for answer Paris.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Clash in Paris?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Okay, which that'll be the last WWE, I guess main
roster pay per view on the Peacock network from what
I heard from what I was told, the nxt pls
will still be available and also for those that live overseas,
live in the UK or if you have a VPN,
(03:25):
you can still enjoy the pay per views on Netflix
like you have do is just switch it to UK
or Canada or whatever. But if you already have the
ESPN app, I don't know if it's called ESPN Plus
or just ESPN thirty bucks a month, you can start
watching the ww pay reviews next month.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
So again with this too, if you have if you
have a regular cable and I actually I have it here. Actually,
let me bring that up really quick. I should have
had that up here, and my shit's going slow. Continue
I'll find here in a second.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Well, no, that was kind of the gist of the
whole conversation. I had it right here, Uh to do.
Russell Paluza will be will take place September twentieth in
the Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis, home with the Pacers.
There was discussion as to which pay per view this
(04:27):
would be. There was discussion it could be Bad Blood,
but Russell Palooza was kind of the well or not
kind of. It was already the the citing pay per
view the service for ESPN well or the ESPN app
is set to begin broadcasts on August the twenty first,
(04:48):
and also the I guess the big selling point of
the pay per views at the main event is going
to be John Cena or I don't know if it's
gonna be the main event or just the headliner John
Cena versus brock Lesner. It's also airing on the same
day as aw all Out, which I believe we discussed
last week about WWE using counter programming. Yeah, and I
(05:15):
built and I I'm not sure if you're going to
bring this up. I know you. You brought it up
whenever we did talk about the whole ESPN thing was
that if you have cable, if you have YouTube TV,
if you have I believe dish.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Netw I have the official sorry, I have the official
carriers here. Okay, So Charter, Spectrum, Direct TV, Football TV,
Hulu Live TV, and Verizon FiOS. Those are gonna be
the five companies. If you're in the United States, you
(05:47):
can sign up and not pay a single penny for
again Charter Spectrum, Direct TV, Football TV, Hulu Live TV,
and Verizon files. So Comcast is not part of that
at this time at least, but everyone else will have
to pay twenty nine nine nine a month, or if
you want to go through the VPN route and use
(06:09):
it in do the Netflix thing. So those would be
your two options right there, your two legal options.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
I will sing It's funny because Stephian McMahon had Nick
Con on her what do you want to talk about
or not? Or she has Nick Con on her podcast,
and when Nick con is talking about the ESPN deal,
they immediately cut to I guess an ad of Stephian
McMahon going, hey, you know VPNs, try surf Shark and
(06:37):
if you want to discount, use Stephanie when you're checking out.
So even WWE's kind of encouraging VPNs.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Well, well, here's the thing. I don't think that. I
don't think they're encouraging it. What I'm what I'm thinking
is is that it was just a regular sponsorship and
VPNs are more to be used than oh I can
use Netflix Canada or whatever. Right that that wasn't That wasn't.
(07:06):
The reason is why VPNs existed in the first place.
It is for more protection for your PC. Right if
if you're if you're a gamer, right and you know
you stream online, you stream on Twitch and you have
a good following or whatever, right, Uh, VPNs can help
you not get swatted, you know what I mean. It's
for protection.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
So h But.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
I think over the years that has became a thing
where oh I can I can watch you know, Netflix
in Indonesia. You know, you know, I can get access
to this, and and just so happens that since WW
is on Netflix, it just so happens that, you know,
it's leading to this. So I don't I don't really
think that was a Yeah, sign up for a VPN
(07:52):
so you can watch Netflix, uh, and you know, be
able to watch the use I pay us on Netflix
in Canada or Mexico, whatever case. I I don't think
that was what they were trying to do.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I mean, I think at the end of the day,
they're still getting money, you know, if they're advertising you know,
this surf shark thing, it's still a little bit of money.
I don't know how much they're gonna make for it
for them? What's up? Hold on? So okay, sorry, the
wife was telling me something. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I don't think WW is I'm making money off the Netflix,
I'm sorry, not on Netflix. They're not making money off
the a VPN sponsorships. That's that's definitely mcmmand's podcast, even
though it's on a WW network. She she will get
revenue from that.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Okay, I don't know what's going on though, bs obs
keeps doing this thing where it connects and it disconnects
and it connects. So if you're watching on YouTube, I
don't know what the fuck's going on. Either way, you
can still hear this on the audio, but it again,
I just still think, I still think the irony of
a of like, you know, we're moving to ESPN and
for thirty bucks a month, you want a vp Yeah,
(09:00):
well it's ten bucks. So I do think not only
with VPNs, you know, there's still going to be people
that just don't want to spend money in general, you know,
because before it was you know back you know, back
in our day, you know you had that, you had
the hot box or you know, if you had you know,
if you had Cheddar to spend, you know, you'd spend
like twenty five to thirty or forty bucks on a
(09:23):
pay per view, or you know if you if you didn't,
if you really didn't want to spend money, you would
just watch like the Scrambled you know, Channel ninety nine
pay per views where you would just hear the pay
per view, or you know, when the Internet started taking
over more, you would find those you know first row
websites where where first row that that got me through
(09:47):
some tough times where you would just watch.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Even before justin dot TV, where's it became twitch?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah that was well really that that was what became
twitch yep, just in that TV. Ye did not know
that or also twitch. There's there's actually channels where if
you look hard enough, you can watch a pay per
view on fucking Twitch, which is very well, very dumb.
You can watch Raw, you can watch NXT, you can
(10:19):
watch SmackDown. Yeah, there was there was a channel before
before I got the VPN, there was actually a channel
that was streaming you know, Raw on NXT and SmackDown, right,
And then when I found out about the VPNs, I'm like, oh, okay,
well that that that's more than helpful. I do think
(10:40):
there is gonna be people going back to the old
ways of like, hey, you know streaming sites that you
know stream the pay per views for free so I
don't have to fork over more money for another streaming service.
But I don't know. I'm I'm to me, I'm encouraging
people just to get a VPN. They're cheaper. I mean,
it's still money to spend, but it's a lot cheaper
(11:00):
than thirty bucks a month. That's that's just me.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
But you know, for the people, I mean, I think
thirty bucks is still a bargain for what you get
out of it. Like, if you're a sports fan, there
should be no reason why you shouldn't have this ESPN app.
I mean you'll get the NFL Red Zone. I mean yeah,
I mean it's you know, NFL is like you know,
five months, six months out of the year, So you
get that, you get WWE, you get access to you know,
(11:27):
the Disney and the Hulu. Like it's just a it's
a real good deal.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Okay. So uh the wife well now and the sister
Lane was asking me a question because I brought up
to them. So the ESPN app is it ESPN Plus?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
No, I think it's just ESPN DTC direct to consumer.
I think I think the app itself is just going
to be ESPN.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Ah, Okay, because I have the bundle, the Disney bundle,
which at this point it's kind of moot because Hulu
is is a merging with Disney Plus, right, so and
I have the separate apps. So like, I think after
this year is when Hulu's just gonna merge into Disney Plus.
So if you already have Hulu, and you have Disney Plus.
(12:20):
You can just switch the Disney Plus and just watch
your ship on Disney Plus. But and then I also
have that ESPN Plus app, which at this point is
kind of moot too, because you never really get to
actually watch the shows h if you if you don't
have a h if you don't have like a subscription
like TV service like YouTube TV or whatever, then you
(12:41):
can't really watch a lot of these like NBA games
or NFL games with speech with you know, speaking of witch,
is that with Peacock, even after the wrestling is taken
off the streaming app, you still get to watch the NBA.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, yeah, I still I still need Peacock. Yeah I'm not.
I'm not, you know, so you know, I'm one of
those people that will still need to have Peacock. But
if I wasn't NBA watcher, then I will not need Peacock.
But I still need Peacock at this point in time,
which you know, but it's gonna be worth It's worth
it to me though, So.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Right, did you see that schedule that they put up
for the NBA where it's like Peacock is going to
be the whole weekend and then Friday and then you
had Amazon Prime, which they're gonna start putting up NBA games.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
So Mondays is Monday's Peacock, Tuesdays and Tuesdays is NBC
and Peacock. Wednesdays is ESPN, Thursdays is Amazon Prime, Fridays
is Amazon Prime and ESPN, then Saturdays is Amazon Prime
and ABC. Then Sundays is ABC, NBC Peacock. So that's
(13:50):
the combination of So just because like on like for example,
on Tuesday, doesn't mean that you're gonna get a game
one NBC, then one a NBC one on Peacock. It
could be one of the other or maybe even so
just to clarify that.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
And they're you know, they're bringing back the old school thing,
which I'm pretty stoked about because that seems that theme
is still a banger. And also the NFL, the NFL
is coming back, well, I mean, it's the the NFL
season starts up in in uh in a September. So
even even if a wrestling is gone, which allegedly there's
(14:26):
talk about even wrestling still being on Peacock, you know, there's.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
About it's still going to happen. NXC is still going
to be on Peacock.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Well, I'm not just talking about nx T. I'm talking
about like there's talk about, you know, TNA being on
Peacock or even Triple A.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Uh well, we'll see what that well, we'll see what
we'll see with that. But Triple A is probably be
a little bit more I will say more difficult, just
because I think it's because the Mexic is a Mexican promotion.
I think they want to try to get something on
a Mexican I don't know, I mean, but they what
(15:04):
they what they did this weekend is I think they
should probably just stay on YouTube because they all that
fucking AD revenue they probably got from you know, from
everyone who's watching.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
So so yeah, so you think Triple A is better
off just being on YouTube based on the ad revenue
AD revenue alone.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
I mean as of right now. But I can be
wrong obviously with that. They can definitely try to. They
can definitely try to, you know, get on a streaming
service and get one big lump sum. So that's an
option as well.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
So but h do you see TNA being on Peacock.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
I see TNA. I see a lot of things for
TNA right now. With Peacock is possibly one of those,
so we'll see.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
I mean, there's even talk about maybe them being on
c W along with n.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
XC, YEP going up against Wednesdays against uh.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Twin conn the Wednesday that it was back.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
What what what you think about that?
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Like?
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Is that something that you want to see?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I mean, and I'm not even just like coming this,
coming at this from a perspective of like cheering you
fuck them, like no, or AW, I mean, AW fuck them?
But like AW isn't a very precarious position because now
w W t V isn't exactly must see anymore other
(16:29):
than you know, NXC, which NXC is probably you know,
by default the better of the shows.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Why wouldn't even say NXCS must see. There's nothing must
see on any wrestling company right now?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Well no, no, no, I was I was just saying, by
default NXT is the better wrestling show.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
True.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
You know, AW isn't A isn't an interesting spot because
it's like when they were on their rise. I was
when ww was like rough to watch, and then WWE
became better to watch, and then they went on downslide.
Now they're in a spot where it's just like okay,
when you to step up our game, So and again
(17:06):
I say this time and time again, or maybe I don't.
I don't know, but I root for AAW. I want
AW to do well. You know, I think they can
get back to that. It's just you know, booking. I mean,
I can easily sit here and say they need stars,
but it's like, are there really any stars quote unquote
(17:27):
left in wrestling? You just need good wrestling, interesting characters.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
My stars in wrestling is you know? But to your point, yes,
the booking does matter.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
So right, and just interesting characters and just some good storylines.
So I don't know, just I think AW is in
a spot where it's just like you look at how
stagnant and what's another word I'm looking for. What's another
word for lazy?
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I'll just say, not necessarily lazy, but uncreated, uncreative.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Let's go with that. Uncreative ww he has been AW
can look at that. It's like, okay, let's try to
capitalize on that. Let's be interesting, Let's be cool. Let's
be not necessarily edgy, because I think they've already taken
the edge edgy instead of edgy, but just be interesting
and be cool, well maybe not cool, but just be interesting.
And just have interesting characters and maybe not try to
(18:26):
focus too much on catering to really niche audiences. I
don't know that's just me, but yeah, TNA being on
on a CW I think, I mean that's obviously good
for them because they're on a national network, they're on
a bit.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
If something coming up with maybe a TNA TV there
on the next month, month and a half, I when
the same.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Right, I don't know, how do you feel about TNA
possibly being on c W.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Well, well, there's still some stuff I do want to
talk about the ESPN's stuff first, So so there's a
there's still a lot going on with this here obviously,
with with the ESPN going, you know, or w W
going ESPN. So the their first show obviously is gonna
be uh. I was gonna say Lollapalooza is definitely not.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
So you got Russell Paluza coming up, right, So you
already mentioned you know, Johnson maybe versus Brocolans or also
maybe Corey Rose versus h Drew McIntyre. What I want
to ask you is is that, like, there there's two
things about this number One, WWE was supposed to be
(19:45):
with Peacock to the into tween twenty six? Do you
know why they are able to to get on a
ESPN early?
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Do I know why they're able to get on ESPN early? Yeah,
I'm not sure why.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
So it's because that WWE has fulfilled the number of
pelo leaves for the year already and we're only in August.
So that's possibly why we were seeing these pay per
views being stacked up and just being up here on
nowhere when we're asking like, why why the fuck is
WWE like, you know what while we're on another show
in like two weeks, three weeks? Is because I think
(20:26):
that they knew that they were gonna get on ESPN
and they want together the Peacock get deal early, so
they fulfilled they fulfilled their their needs for Peacock.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
HM.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
So I at first I thought, well, maybe ESPN Disney
they bought out the rest of the contract and you know,
they they won one es period early. So no, w
W fulfilled their you know, their contract were Peacock and
you know they're they're you know, they're off they're off
of Peacock officially, right, So that's number one. Number two,
(20:58):
since they're gonna be on ESPN, they're gonna be in Indianapolis,
I can I can tell you. I won't say for
a fact, but I can almost promise you that we're
gonna see Pat McAfee, we're gonna see Tyre's Halliburton, and
they're going to integrate obviously, those two professional athletes into
(21:20):
the ESPN broadcast. I will definitely think that this pay
per view Russell Paloosa is gonna be treated like not
like a super Bowl per se, but they're gonna treat
it as like a big deal. I can see the
Pat McAfee show happening at uh the game break show Fieldhouse,
(21:42):
you know what I mean, the building up to Russell Palooza.
I can definitely see something like that too as well.
And Man, I believe Pat McAfee is actually gonna possibly
do commentary for the show, probably one night only, but
I think you probably do commentary for the show because
Pat McFee ESPN, you know, obviously, I think they. I
(22:02):
think that's something that you know, both sides wants to happen.
So that's another thing. But also on top of that
as well, I want to ask you, how do you
think that ESPN is going to integrate this show Russell
palooza into what they do on TV.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I mean, I think you might ask me this question
a while back, but like, I mean, you're more than
lesly gonna see more WWE stars like on you know,
Sports Center, First Take. You might even have some original
ww programming only on ESPN, maybe like a best of
(22:45):
Week or you know, Biggest Flops of a Week or
something something like that, something to that effect where I
don't know, I mean, I think I think it's gonna
be little things like that, sure, maybe even like ways
to kind of bring in more asuals or maybe even
some some new fans where it's like, hey, do you
(23:05):
want to you know, see the first you know, We're
gonna give you a match from one of our pay
per views for free on ESPN and it's going to
premiere at blah blah blah on blah blah blah. You know,
and if you're interested, you want to see more than
all you do is just pay thirty bucks a month
out on our ESPN you know, blah blah blah. So
(23:25):
I think it's gonna be something to that effect.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Okay, Okay, So also with this as well, Peacock, Right,
So there's a lot of moving parts of this, right,
So we talked about ESPN. On the Peacock side of things.
Saturday Night's main event ain't gonna be on NBC no more.
It's going to be exclusively on Peacock, which I think.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Is anna win. I was about to bring that up,
actually go ahead, Well no, I mean yeah, so yeah,
Peacock will no longer be hosting Satura Night's mein event
and it will be Jesus Christ NBC. NBC will no
longer be hosting a Saturay Night's main event, will be
integrating to Peacock, which you took the words out of
(24:09):
my mouth. That's a win, you know, with these Saturay
Night's Main Events shows. You know, the one thing that's
been holding him back is just these TV you know,
the TV program just just keeps having so many fucking commercials, dude,
like so many commercials. And I get it, obviously, but
it's like the commercials or really take us out of
(24:29):
the show. And so now it's going to be on Peacock.
It's going to be on streaming, and you know, of course,
if you have like a premium subscription, you can avoid
ads all together and you can just enjoy the show
in its entirety, and like you said, that's a win,
you know, especially with John Cena's retirement match, which they've
(24:49):
already announced is going to be this December of the
thirteenth and.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Going up against worlds in oh no.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Be in Boston, Massachusetts.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Well, because there was mention of that they may go
up against World Za for Johnson's last match. There was
rumors out there, so.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
I know I was just I was just being cheeky,
but like, so, yeah, it'll be December the thirteenth in Boston.
So I guess I have two questions. First question is, obviously,
how do you feel about this? How do you feel
about Sir Night's main event being on Peacock and not.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Just you pretty much answered it for me, so you
know I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
And also with John Cena's retirement match already announced, who
would you personally like to see him rustle against Ays
his last match?
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I think he asked me this a couple of weeks
ago or something whatever. But man, I man, I'm not
really too sure. They should probably have if someone comes.
I'll tell you this, they should probably have somebody come
out there. It should be like an open challenge and
(26:09):
someone comes out there. I don't know who, and you
don't think that he's gonna win, and they can do
the rehash of the kurr Angle John Cena spot where
Johnson said aggression. I think if they do something like that,
that'd be pretty cool. But but I don't think WW
(26:34):
is going to be that creative with that. I think
they want to they want to advertise the match. Uh,
you know who is he going up against? It could
be Gunter, it could be Drew McIntyre. Uh, if it
were me, it would be someone like a bron Breaker
or a Carmelo Hay or a Trick Williams or Javon
(26:55):
Evans even like oh but fimmy, it would be so
much that that ilk someone that that can get put over.
Guta doesn't need it, Drew McIntire doesn't need it. I
think that if they put someone young over and not
necessarily just over, but like even if Johnson will lose
(27:16):
it or wins rather, I think that partico wrestlers still
could be put over in the process. So that's what
I would do if I had the pen if I
was the booker, That's what I would do do. I
think it's going to happen. I don't think so, because
I think WW they want to advertise the match in
(27:37):
events and get people excited where forever match it is
because you know, no offense to Trick Williams or with
Femmy or or Juwane Evans, which I love them all right,
but Jawan Evans versus John Cena, there's gonna be you know,
eighty percent of the people are gonna be like, who
the fuck is that they see them? Gonna be like, Okay,
I fucking get it. You know this guy who I
(27:59):
can get incredible. But I think they want to get
an established name to go up against John Cena.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Yeah, that makes sense. I think regardless of who he's
gonna face, it's gonna be someone John Cena signs off on.
It's not going to be Hey, we want you to
wrestle this guy. It's gonna be more of a Johnson
on brock Lessler. Pretty sure he did. I'm pretty sure
a lot of what's going on in Sena's you know,
(28:28):
retirement tour has been I want to say, one hundred
percent like his choice, but he's obviously had some saying it.
I mean he had say in the in the heel
turn he had, say and wrestling guys like you know
Punk and I don't.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
I don't. I think I think John Cena as far
as the hill turn there was, it was more of like, yeah,
let's do it, like he's gonna say yes to everything.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Right, But I'm pretty sure that's something Sena has always
wanted to do.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
Oh yeah, sure, yeah, no, no, I agree with that,
But I don't think that like they'll have some say right,
but like it's really like, I don't. I don't think
it's as much says as you think, like like as
far as like oh I want to Russell Oagan Paul,
like you know what I mean, Like I don't. I
(29:18):
don't know if if he really said that, maybe he did,
I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
You know, well, Also another thing that comes into play
is that a big reason why his heel turn wasn't
as epic or great as we all hoped it would
be is his schedule, because you know, when his heel
turn happened, the first thing he did was fly out
to do a movie. So his schedule really did hamper
(29:42):
his heel turn because you know, or just like his
retirement tour in general, because I was trying to be
more optimistic about the retirement tour, and you kind of
like brought me down to earth where you're like, listen,
let's just be fair. He's gonna wrestle who he's gonna wrestle.
You know. I was kind of thinking maybe he can
go to NXT and do some rounds with like Oba
(30:03):
or a trick. I was thinking, And I was.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Like, bro, you're no, They're like TNA and like, no,
that's not happening. They want to pick who they want
to pick.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like up in the clouds
and you just like grab my ass back down, like
get back down here. Stop. You know, it's like the
end of The Simpsons where like Lisa descends into heaven
and Homer just grabs her. Where do you think you're going,
little lady?
Speaker 5 (30:31):
Right?
Speaker 2 (30:31):
That's basically that's basically you You just grab my ass, Like
where do you think you're going?
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Right?
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Right?
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Right?
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Right? Like stop, we're going to get this and this
deal with it. But right is where was I at?
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah? But yeah, I think Sina obviously you know his
retirement match, which is you know, now it's going to
be on Peacock instead of NBC. We're going to get
more time. He's obviously going to get more time in
the ring to say by to the fans.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
And in this situation, you think it's it's better for
him than what it was for Bill Goldberg.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Essentially, well, i'm gonna I'm I'm gonna say, I think
for Goldberg, at the end of the day, there's still
that thing from w W where it's like you weren't
one of ours, you weren't one of our creations. You're
still a w CW guy.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
I I I hear what you're saying, but it's twenty
twenty five. I think there are most people are way
past that. I don't really think that was the case.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
I mean, yeah, I did, you're right, but it's like,
I that's I think that's still how WW kind of operates.
It's like you're you're not one of our creations, you know,
because they didn't. They didn't do anything for Sting when
he left.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Sting was still part of Vincent Man regime.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
This is a trip, right. But I think for John
cena it's like John cena Is is a much bigger
name than Goldberg. You know, John.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
Seeing if he didn't get injured, I don't think it
was gonna be at Night Champions, but I think he
they would have put the title on him.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
That's what I felt. Which w CW guy that retired
in w W E Like, who do you think got
a better send off? I can't really think of anyone.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
It's probably Goldberg, let me think, because I'm thinking of
like I'm not thinking about like Kevin ash or Scott.
I'm not thinking about Whogan. I'm not thinking about guys
like just peerre w c W. Rick Flair.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah, well, I think Rick Flair is kind of different
because Rick ric.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Flair was straight in w A, w c W, came
over to a couple of years. He came to w
W for a couple of years, went back to w
c W, then once w W shut down, Danny came
over for for that run. So when people think of
Rick Flair, they they they don't think about like, oh,
Rick Flir from two thousand, you know five, No, they
(33:09):
think about Rick Flair from nineteen eighty eight, eighty nine,
you know, or eighty seven, the Four Horsemen, Like that's
that's what most people think about Rick Rick Flair.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yeah, but Rick Flair is also somebody synonymous with.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Not.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
I guess you could say pop culture. Yeah, it's just
like you know, a lot of rappers, you know, they
kind of borrowed some of his style and some of
his like swag. Goldberg is popular, but Goldberg's more a niche.
He's very much niche. Where he got over during nineteen
(33:45):
ninety eight.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
He was not niche in nineteen ninety eight. Right, but
he was more properlar than Stole Code at one point, yes,
and no, but like Nantsey was in nineteen ninety eight,
he was He was the most proper wrestler in the world,
and for for like like four or five months, he
was the most propular wrestling in the world. When he
was when he beat Hogan or when he was on
(34:07):
that rise to being Hogan, he was the most proper
wrestling in the world at that point.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Right. But it's like when you compare Goldberg's career to
Rick Flair's career, it's like it's not even oh well, yeah,
of course, yeah, you know what I mean. So like
I get what you mean, but like, and I was
there too. I remember that I had my Goldberg shirt
and I was like, would that be awesome if Goldberg
rustled Steve Austin because they're both bald and have black trunks.
And then it didn't happen, but well it kind of happened.
(34:34):
But yeah, Rick Flair, that's kind of the big one.
I don't think of anyone else. Booker T didn't really
get a sendoff. Well, I mean, I don't think Booker
two really cared to be honest.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Not not everybody gets wrestling either.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
You know what I mean. Like I was gonna say,
I was gonna say someone else, but it wasn't technically
a sendoff. Was more of a memoriam Eddie p Oh,
you know, he had his like tribute show.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
I don't count that. I mean, I mean, Chris wa
got a tribute show too. So what are we saying here?
Speaker 2 (35:10):
As may be a bad example. Yeah, w CW guys,
unless you're Rick Flair, you know, you kind of get
the short end of the stick.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
But again, I mean I hear what you're saying. But
what other w CW guys had that opportunity? Did did DP? Like?
Like right, you know what I mean? Like, Like what
other w CW dot guy's got that opportunity? Raymond Stereo,
I mean reministers more for w W got based on
(35:41):
r n W CW and that's how it became popular,
you know. So it's like it's like it's like you know,
you're I hear what you're saying. Also the same time,
it's like, you know, it's you're there's not really much
to golf of because neverboy had that opportunity to get
a senned off.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Well, I guess by default, Rick Clair is better. Definitely
Rick Flair for sure send off, even though he kind
of ruined that by going to TNA. But you know whatever,
we still like to leave the memories alone, as they say.
But yeah, but for Sena, you know, Sena is their
creation and Sena, you know, for whatever you want to
(36:23):
say about him, for whatever most people want to say
about him, he is, you know, one of the biggest
names in wrestling. He's obviously as far as like a
box office draw and not just WW but wrestling. You know,
he's a top five draw. Yeah, and you know, now
he's in Hollywood. Now, he's just playing a superhero in
Hollywood and he has that going for him. So I
(36:48):
can imagine them giving him the match itself, whoever he
wrestles against. I'm like you, I'd rather see him put
over someone that needs that rub more. I don't think
I don't think it's going to do anything for Gnther.
I mean, it will be a it'll be it'll be
fun to watch, but it won't It won't mean anything
(37:11):
for Goingther, It won't mean anything for Drew McIntyre. It
would mean something more for like a bron breaker. But
I don't see again, like you said, I don't see
WWE being that creative, especially at this point. But but
I can see the match not meaning as much as
the moment, Like the match is going to be the match.
(37:33):
It's probably gonna be like maybe fifteen ish minutes, you know,
maybe maybe less than that, and there's gonna be more
time put into seeing a you know, saying goodbye to
the audience and getting a retirement speech, and you know,
having all his best friends and having all his you know,
greatest opponents you know come into the ring and say,
(37:54):
you know, and honor him and say goodbye, and if anything,
I would just say, have that whole show just be
for you know.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
What if this ain't gonna happen, not gonna happen whatsoever.
There there there's two theories, Like my hand and you know,
is based around one person. What if they you know,
they decided to do Johnson, and again, it's not going
to happen a thousand percent. I'll be shocked. Johnson versus Bautista,
(38:25):
that'd be great.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
I I you know what, I actually thought about that,
But I'm thinking, like, Okay, it's never gonna happen. Yeah,
Batista's in Hollywood. And also Batista's like the shape that
he's in is not wrestling shape. Yeah, he said he's
retired and ship too, so also again he's not in
wrestling shape anymore. He's he looks completely different. He's more
(38:48):
like smaller and you know whatever. But I was thinking, like, shit,
you know, if he didn't retire, it'd be an interesting match.
You know, it'd be an interesting retirement match.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
They're and they're when there's one more two as well?
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Mhm.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
They can they can advertise this match as Class of
two thousand and two. They do, they do, And Randy
Oron versus Bautista and brock Lessner that'll be great too.
I love that.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
I wouldn't mind that. And also and again I'm we're
speaking of things that will probably never happen.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
I'm gonna bring of course, I don't think this will happen.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
Yeah, right, but like you know, and you can maybe
even bring in like Jim Cornett to call commentary for that, Okay,
or you're going.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Too far now, Okay, I'm speaking of Jim Cortnett again.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
I'm speaking of things that will never happen. I'm just saying, like,
if you really want to go the extra mile and
on Earth, you know the class of two thousand and two,
you know, fuck fuck it bringing Jim Cornett to do commentary.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Bringing Jim Cornett because I'm because I'm the one dad
that put them in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Yeah, who else
are you bringing Nick Dismore as well?
Speaker 4 (40:02):
You know?
Speaker 2 (40:03):
Fuck uh? I mean obviously Shelton Benjamin can't be here
because he's in aw But like you know, have Danny Davis,
you know, be and be like in the audience or whatever.
You're rolling your eyes.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
I'm just like speaking of like Danny Davis, Like, like,
how would you present Danny Davis?
Speaker 2 (40:22):
I don't know you find a way? God again, again.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Who knows Danny? If you get thirty wrestling fans right
now and ask him who Danny Davis is, what would
their answers will be I mean, will say, yes, I
have thirty wrestling fans.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
I don't know, I'm just trying to be optimistic, jesting,
and you're and of course, going back to the Homer thing,
you're just grabbing my leg and you're like, get the
fuck out back down here, get out here. And but
again it's just I'm just I'm trying to be right,
I'm trying to be optimistic. But it's again, it'll never happen.
But yeah, but but Batista, it's just like I don't know.
(41:01):
I would like to see him involved, maybe like just
do an appearance.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Yeah, that'll be fine. I don't think that would be
too much to ask for. I don't think.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Sorry, I'm just writing something down, but like right, I mean,
I don't know. I mean, December is a long ways away.
A lot can happen, you know, especially with with Cope
over in aw. You know, we know his contracts supposed
to run up in October.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
And.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
We never know what's gonna happen. We never know if
maybe he decides to leave and come back and you know,
be a part of Seena's retirement thingy.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
I don't know, I don't think that's gonna happen. I
will I would like for it to happen. I just
don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
I mean, I don't think. I don't think. I don't
think it needs to happen. But if we're going by Sina,
you know, reliving his greatest opponents, you know, he already
did it. He already did it with Randy, did it
with you know, Punk, He's about to do it Brock.
You know, Edge is, you know, one of his greatest rivals.
(42:10):
You know, Batista is one of his greatest rivals, and
they have that ov W background. But I guess to
kind of go back to the other question of like
who should his opponent be, I don't know, I got nothing.
You know, bron Breaker would be awesome, Obafemi would be awesome.
(42:34):
You know, Trick Williams, I don't know. I mean Camalo
Hayes from a standpoint of like, you know, it's in
Boston and they're both Boston boys, that would be interesting too.
I don't know. I don't know. It's one of those things.
I'm just gonna have to like wait and see what happens.
But I'm almost positive Sina has like final say on
(42:57):
who his opponent it would be. And I know you
brought up that he's a company man and he's gonna
go with whatever they tell him to do. But you know,
it's his retirement tour. I'm pretty sure they're given him
ideas and he's like saying, I don't like this. I
don't like this, but I like this. So I don't know.
We'll see, but yeah, again, I just to reiterate, I
(43:21):
am pretty stoked that Saturay night's main event is going
to be on Peacock and on NBC anymore. We gotta
deal with these commercials. Do you have any other news? Yes?
Speaker 3 (43:31):
So I forgot to mention this earlier, but it is
part of the news. It is part of news, So
not throwing shade or anything, but it's just part of
the news and it's fact.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
The aw tablet on the ESPN PORL Resident section has
been removed. Trying to access it will give you an
error page. So that's pretty telling. I will say.
Speaker 2 (43:59):
There was an aa W tab on ESPN. Yeah, was
it for Bleacher Report?
Speaker 3 (44:06):
ESPN?
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Is Bleacher Report a part of ESPN or it's its
own thing, it's his own thing. Okay. I honestly didn't
know aw was even on ESPN.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
Yeah, so I mean bleacher Report. Bleacher Report I believe
is owned by Turner, which is yeah, obviously why they'll
be on beyond the Bleacher Report. So so that was
that not really news, but just part of what has
happened today. So also as well, one person who will
(44:40):
not be his last opponent because he is still in
ADW currently it's Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho is rumored possibly
to make your return to WWE. UH, Chris Jericho. This
is coming from Fightful Select is signed UH with a
W three between twenty five as a number of months
(45:02):
left on his deal. There is no word of any
creative decisions regarding Chris Jericho in aw Housiblank, but also
Jericho tends to speak with toyn Kan directly regarding his
creative There also isn't a huge track record of him
taking time taking this amount of time off and how
(45:26):
it would be handled if there is a if there
were be a contract freeze, or how a potential return
could be handled. Also from Fireful Select, WW sources said
that Chris Jerkill's name hasn't come up whatsoever around the
creative process, So if conversations have happened regarding him, Regarding
(45:50):
him internally, it wasn't in that department. There are currently
talent who have been speculating about his potential return, and
higher ups say that Jericho remains on good terms with WWE.
One source in the coupy call the situation far too
early to tell because ww doesn't seem sure what Jercho
(46:11):
stats will be in the coming months. So Chris Jericho,
possibly out of a w could possibly return to WWE,
you know, at the beginning of maybe twenty twenty six, Mary,
the end of twenty twenty five, what's your thoughts about that?
Speaker 2 (46:32):
I I don't really want to see Jericho come back
in WWE. I think from an s from like a
nostalgia point. Sure, you know, because we all know. If
Jericho comes out the Rumble and you know, you see
the countdown and all of a sudden you see Jericho's
like font and it's you know, the do Do Do
(46:54):
and it's Jericho Mike, that would be a cool moment.
I'm I'll admit that it would be a cool moment.
But other than that, it's like what do you do
with Chris Jericho and w W Right, you know what
I mean? Like he obviously can't work the way he
used to. He's not gonna be able to work with
the current you know, group of talent. Maybe to have
(47:15):
you know, a match with CM Punk, Maybe to go
down to NXT and work with some of the talent there.
But again it's like.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
A couple of talents that the only main roster you
can work with, right, not a couple.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Like you know, just I guess more talents that can
like work around his I guess limited ability in the ring,
maybe like a Cody, maybe a Randy for example.
Speaker 3 (47:38):
But I will think, I you know what, I will
give a russell Man Matt to Jericho him versus Elle
Knight and put a rally Knight.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
I wouldn't mind that. I mean it's I think that's
the best way you can utilize both guys. And also,
you know, there's Jericho can still cut a promo, he's
still entertaining. But I think that's the best way to
utilize both of those guys. But like you know, I
don't I don't see Jericho being able to work with
guys like a bron Breaker or Javan Evans or.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
No, he'll he'll have he won't be he won't wrestle
the same amount of matches that he did in AW.
Speaker 2 (48:14):
This will be more of a He'll be an attraction.
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Yeah, yeah, he'll be more of an attraction. He'll probably wrestle,
you know, maybe like ten times and maybe called a
career again in the Hall of Fame and just call
a career. Who knows. Maybe Jericho wants to come back
to WWE and be part part creative or be a
coach or whatever. I think that there's a lot of
things that they can do with Jericho, a ton of
(48:38):
things which doesn't actually wrestling right.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
To be honest, I wouldn't mind that. I still think Jericho,
you know, for better or for worse, is still smart,
Like he's still smart about what works in the business
and what doesn't. It's just, you know, again we can
I can say this something blue in the face. It's
like you're product with your own of your own environment.
(49:02):
And with Jericho, you know, in AW like he he
got the best mileage out of it. You know, he
got paid a lot of money to essentially do whatever
he wanted to do. But to be honest, and again,
I'll admit I'm not watching the show a lot. You
watch more than me. But it's like what else can
you do with Chris Jericho on AW Like, what else
(49:25):
can you do with them? You really, there's really not
much else you can do with them if they want
to make him an agent. But it's like, I don't know,
I have a feeling Jericho wants to come back to WW.
I think that's maybe that's always been the goal is
to just go out and make as much money as
you can and then eventually come back. So yeah, but
I think you.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
Know as well too, Like you know, I think there's
a lot of things they there's a lot of things
you could do with Jarco. Like I said, you can
make them an agent, be a part of the creative
his talk, the talk is Jericho that that could be
part of the podcast with like Steph and Cody and
you know Undertaker. I mean that you can talk to
Jericho on their two as well. So I think I
(50:09):
think that's something that can definitely be done for the
long term for them, you know, obviously him being the
Hall of Fame like you know, and have maybe maybe
one maybe two wrestle may matches, you know what I mean,
and call it career like imagine like let's say he
brings back in or breaking the walls down. But like
for wrestle, may he comes out to Judas Now, big
(50:30):
of a pop that will be. It'd be a huge pop.
That'd be a huge moment, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
So I think.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
I think him being back in w W wee not
necessarily being a wrestler full time, but I think everything
else say brings to the table I think is a
positive thing. That number one. But number two, man, I'm
already seeing it online like, uh have you well you
probably haven't, but the response a w fance to Chris
(51:01):
Jericho possibly leaving a w buck to w W It's
kind of it's sad. I would just.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Say you you be true to us, like it's it'll happen.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
It's already happening. That's That's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know, but I mean, if anything, I don't
think toy Com will do this, but he should. He
should come out, not not like on TV or anything,
but like on Twitter and you know, say something like, hey,
(51:35):
we appreciate Chris Jericho's contribute. That's her first world champion,
you know what I mean, Say hey, we appreciate your contributions.
You know, without Chris Jericho. This is this, This is
how poor Chris Chris Jericho a WYB where they're at
right now period because he was the first guy to
be the world champion and which helped them get their
(51:58):
TV deal because they weren't gonna put it on Kenny
Omega or a Hangman or you know, not even Cody Eth.
That's a point in time because they needed a familiar face,
a top guy, familiar face to sell for the TV
show to sell to Time Warner or not Time Warner,
but it's a turner, not Time Wark turner, and that
(52:21):
was Chris Jericho. So I think I think Tony con
should come out. If Chris Jerako does leave and goes
back to WW, I definitely think that's something he should do.
I don't think he's gonna do it, but that's the
right thing to.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Do, right I don't know, I don't know. Well, we'll
see if it happens, it happens. Would you happen to
have as far as like news goes, would you happen
to have the news about Del Rio or I guess
the rumors.
Speaker 3 (52:50):
I've seen that not really too interested in it to
be honest, but you know, if you want to go
over that week, definitely can.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
I mean again, it's just rumors, you know, I think
Jericho seems more concrete with del Rio. There's been a
lot of talk apparently, a lot of and you know,
it's not even a racist thing, it's just it's kind
of true. A lot of you know Mexican wrestlers and WWE,
who you know have been in Triple A, CML, you know,
what have you that have all worked with del Rio.
(53:20):
They all want him back. They're all trying to push
for WW to bring him back. At Triple Mania, which
we'll talk about in a bit, when Ray was inducting Conan,
the fans started chanting for del Rio, and Ray said
something to the effect of, like, I'm working on it.
And even in WW, like you know, big names, Roman reigns,
(53:40):
you know, the Undertaker are apparently pushing for WWE to
bring him back, and it's just Jericho. Again, I'm not
even the biggest at this point, you want to see
Jericho on television do anything, but like, Jericho seems like
someone who can give you something more than what del
(54:02):
Rio can give you. Because listen, I'm all for a second, chance.
Speaker 3 (54:07):
So I don't sorry to interrupt you.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
Do you know?
Speaker 3 (54:12):
Do you do? You?
Speaker 2 (54:14):
So?
Speaker 3 (54:14):
Gosh, I'm trying trying to phrase it a certain way.
Do you understand why someone like a ray of Stereo
and maybe our Roman reigns are pleaning for Reu to
get resigned?
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Please tell me why?
Speaker 3 (54:32):
Well, first let me ask you is do you think
that they're trying to get him to be resigned with
w w E or with Triple A?
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Maybe? Truly?
Speaker 3 (54:46):
Okay, so if it's Triple A to me, what does
it matter?
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Right?
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Or the people are the people who I saw Triple
A on Saturday? Are you gonna watch Triple A every
single show? You're probably not?
Speaker 2 (55:10):
No, No, I'm saying WWE, not not just Triple A.
They want him back in w w E. That's that's
kind of what's going around.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
How do you know that they want him back for
sure in the WWE main roster?
Speaker 2 (55:24):
Well, again, I know, it's just it's just rumors, so
it's really nothing concrete. But it's like the talk is
that Roman, Roman and Taker are saying, bring him back
to WWE.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
Okay, so okay, let's just let's just say that. Let's
just say that they're they're trying to play from the
come back to to w WE. Okay, Okay, I'm just
saying like, okay, I'm saying I'm saying okay, like like, okay, well,
(55:56):
is that is that hurting anybody at this point in time?
Speaker 2 (55:59):
Yeah, but that's just dude, Like, listen, I'm all for
second chances, but this dude has multiple chances. He had
he I mean, he came back to WW twice and
then he got fired because of the whole thing with
Page and you know, blah blah blah, And he had
multiple chances everywhere else. And yes, has he cleaned up
his act, has even you know, keeping his nose clean? Sure,
(56:19):
but it's like, do you really want that headache? Do
you really want to take a chance on this dude again?
And granted, granted, granted, w W brought back Brock. Granted
brocked in do anything illegal. As far as we know,
he was just named on a case. But like with
del Rio, he got arrested and he was actually in
by jail. And also, WW in the past have brought
(56:43):
back people with sketchy passes.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
So killed his girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
Yeah, and then he got the usos who have fucking
have had multiple DUI.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
I mean, I mean, I mean us, I mean they're
fucking top of the bill, so I mean.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
Right, And it's just again I'm just making a point.
But it's like, if they bring back del Rio, which
I hope they don't. It's just it's one of those things,
like they bring him back, what am I gonna do?
Like I can I'm not gonna be like I'll I'll
never watch w W again. I'm just gonna be like,
if you bring him back, why, Like at this point,
(57:21):
like what can you do with him? What are you
gonna do?
Speaker 3 (57:24):
I mean, I get I get what you're saying, but
at this point it doesn't really fucking bother me, Like
I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, or you know
what I mean? Why rather not have him back? No,
I will rather not have him back on the main
roster Triple A. Sure, stay over there, don't care. I'll
(57:44):
watch you on the paper views and stuff like that.
But the fact that you got stars coming out to,
you know, trying to get him back in. Maybe he
did change his ways. But let's say let's say del
Rio comes back, he puts on good matches and he's
just having you know, some of the best work of
his career, which it could be a possibility. You never know, right,
(58:04):
you know, would that would that change your perspective at
that particular point in time.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
It's not so much the wrestling is just like, just
stay out of trouble. Like that's really this isactly what
I'm saying. Yeah, you know what I mean. Also another name, Jeff.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
Let's say he does get in trouble, that's not our
fucking issue, Like I don't give a fuck.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Well, also, I.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
Just don't care about I don't care about like the
personal shit, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Like, well, also, it's just a thing of just like, dude,
you haven't Jeff Hardy another example, Jeff Hardy. I love
Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy is one of my favorites. He's
in my top five. He's a guy who's had multiple chances,
like multiple multiple chances and more right, I mean, granted,
Jeff's a lot of Jeffs. I've had to do more with,
(58:52):
you know, alcohol and drugs. You know, lately, alcohol del
Rio's was more of just about just being an asshole
and hurting people. So I just I think, I mean.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
It's it's like damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
I mean, you know, you know, it's like I'm gonna
rank drugs and alcohol number one, and you know, being
a abuser number two, and you know, you know, doing
DUI number two. It's like it's like, damned if you do,
Damned if you don't. Like and even Jeff like in
in in a w if you remember you had that
(59:23):
slip up and you know he got you know, he
was wearning a Jacksonville Jaguar shirt when he got arrested,
you know what I mean. So it's like, right, you
know what I mean, it's again, damned if you do,
Damned if you don't. Jeff Party has had way more
chances than the Rio, you know what I mean, And
(59:44):
people still love Jeff Party for obvious reasons, right, But
I just think I just think to me that at
the end of the day, I can give two fucks
about what you do outside, right, you know what I mean.
I don't want to be a shitty person, right, But
if you're coming, if you come in and you perform,
and you're on TV, you're kind of good promos and
(01:00:05):
you're having good stories and you're wrestling, that's really all
I care about. Yeah, No, if you end up being
an asshole, so be it. Right, you're a shitty person, right, Uh,
you get fired from that whatever the case may be. Right,
But if you're on TV and you're doing your due
diligence on TV to make the show a better show,
I mean I can't really be mad about that, so.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Right, I don't know. Again, it's just if it happens,
it happens, and you know I can't I gotta sulk
about it. I'm just gonna have my concerns obviously. But
you know, again, just with me, I kind of look
at things differently, Like you can put on the you
can be a good performer, but it's just like you
got to put in the work. Like I don't expect
everybody to be an angel. And yeah, I have said
(01:00:49):
in the past where it's just like I can separate,
you know, your separate life from your work life. But
like for him, it's just like, dude, you have a
lot of mountains to climb. Yeah, Like, if you end
up being brought that act, you're gonna have to prove
a lot of people wrong. And it's not gonna happen overnight.
Like you can't you can't just come in and be like,
I'm a changed person, and it's like, okay, prove it.
(01:01:09):
And if he can prove it, if he can be
a model employee and just do whatever you can to
repair that image.
Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
Then Sam Bug's doing it. So far, he hasn't had
really had any issuestince he's been back.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
So I mean Seampunk's was more internal and less you know,
but still legal.
Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
Problems is problems regardless, So you can be problems with
you can be problems with internal external like regardless, you
know what I mean. Like Sampunk was being up on
Jack Perry, right.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
So.
Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
Took that chance, right, Well that all right, well already
know you feel about that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
But let's still that was bare that was barely a fight.
But sure, I know what you mean, I know what
you mean. But it's like again again, what's see, I'm punk. Yeah,
he has repaired his image, so to speak, but his again,
his was more of just he had an attitude problem
and you know, misinformation with higher ups, whereas del Rio
(01:02:11):
is more legal. But I don't again again again I'll reiterate.
You know, if he does, if he does get brought back,
will be the worst thing in the world. Not really,
It'll just be one of the things of like, you know,
that's kind of a.
Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Risk, but yeah, no, I agree, I agree.
Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
We'll see, we'll see how it pays off if he can,
you know, prove that he's a model employee and he's
changed and YadA, YadA, YadA. He's still gonna have his doubters.
You know, at the end of the day, everybody has
their doubters. Punk. You know, I know, it just said
Apple's oranges, but like, Punk still has his doubters. You know,
he even has doubters from people where it's just like
when have you ever actually met see him Punk? You know,
(01:02:48):
like with like with Mayvin where Maven's like, I don't
think Punk has changed. It's like did you ever actually
meet see them? Like I don't know. But yeah, that's
just just kind of how we're gonna close it.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
I mean, but there's some other people too that haven't
got that second opportunity. They didn't really do ships a
little mooring.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
Yeah, he got fucked over bad, right, Like, he.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Ain't get a second opportunity, right Govin' he dream has
gotten a second opportunity, so well, I mean, he again,
he's he's a crazy motherfucker. But he still didn't get
that second opportunity.
Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
Either, right, And so I to this day he got
fucked over. Like I think that was the case. I
think that was just a case of like they just
didn't like him and they're looking for a reason to
get rid of him.
Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
Oustie Jones.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Yeah. That again, I I'm kind of different on that
because I kind of look at it as like, dude,
you hadn't you had they they were basically giving you
free money and you kind of fucked it up.
Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Well, no, no, you heard what happened with Lassie Jones.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Right, I heard him kind of give a thing about it,
but I didn't really read too much.
Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
Well, no, nothing came out of it. So what he
was being accused of wasn't It wasn't true.
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
That's weird because like the same thing happened a rich
Swan where again he wasn't like in a massive push
on television, but like he was still on television and
he got involved in that thing with like his ex
girlfriend or ex wife where.
Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
He were young. Well, I know some local folks here
that know Sue Young during that particular time period. It
was not true, but there had been situations in.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
The past, right, and then you know Wentz, you know,
Zachary Wentz like he him and Wesley were going to be,
you know, big names on the main roster. They're almost
kind of kind of be like their next hardy boys.
And then like his ex wife came out and said, oh,
you used to beat me, and she put up you know,
pictures of him with like a Hitler stash and that's
(01:05:11):
when he got fired, which again to this day, I
and again, I know Wentz is like in a much
better place. You know, he's getting married at Gigi Dolan,
and he's on TNA and you know he's in a
big tag team there. And he's also been brought back
to w W per this you know partnership with with
with a NEC. I mean, you know he's no, no,
but I'm just saying, like still to this day, I'm
pissed off about how that went down. I'm still pissed off.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
I mean, I mean at the end of the day,
at the end of the day he won.
Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
Still so no, no, but again it's just still something
I'm still kind of pissed off about how it went down.
But again, he's in a much better place.
Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Do you think he's still pissed off about it personally.
Do you think like he's like, damn me, I wish
I was still in w W. I think the way
that he looks at he gets he still gets his freedom, right.
He may not get paid as much, right, but I
think he probably maybe looked at that maybe as a
blessing to be down in TNA and and still have
the freedom in because with her, she ain't I haven't
(01:06:04):
seen ship from from Kimberley and at this point in.
Speaker 2 (01:06:09):
Years Okay, So I'm just saying, from a perspective of
anyone when you kind of fucked up ship that happened
to you, whether it's it happened you know, a long
long ago, I'm in a much better place there. There
has to be there still has to be a part
of him where it's like fuck, I got sucked over,
(01:06:29):
Like there's still that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
I don't think he cares at this point, to be honest,
Maybe at the moment, at the moment of course, right,
but like at this point, I don't really think he
really like dwells on like oh man, like oh, I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
Say he dwells on it. I'm not saying he dwells
on it because again he's with fucking Gigi Dolan and
you know now they're together more.
Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
I'm not talking about like who he's you know, who
he's fucking whoever. But I'm just talking about like more
of like the wrestling side of things.
Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
Let me get you, get you. Yeah, I'm just saying
from a for selfish reasons. I'm a fan, and I
just I thought it was still, you know, scummy how
it went down. Oh, it was definitely scummy w w
E standards, because w w at the end of the day,
they're like, well, this isn't a good image. We got
to do something about it, you know, even when you
(01:07:17):
know m JF, who is Jewish who roomed with Wentz,
had said that he's not anti Semitic, He's not racist
at all. Like, I don't see where this is coming from.
So yeah, again, I still feel for the guy, and
I do think eventually he'll make his way back to
w w E and they can reform MSK and you know,
(01:07:38):
do big things. I forgot how we got to the
topic of Pete Wentz. What were we talking about talking about? Okay,
del Rio, but yeah, yeah, I mean that's kind of
the the gist.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
We went from Jericho to to Wins right.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
But yeah, oh yeah, end Zone we did. We were
talking about Enzel More. He definitely got fucked over. I
mean he kind of made his I guess he kind
of made a comeback, you know with w WE, but
not technically when he was at the teenag show and
then who else, you know, velveteen Dream he mentioned, which
(01:08:24):
that's kind of a thing where I'm like, I think
he kind of got fucked over a little bit because
it was just fans pretending to be kids when they
weren't really kids, but they were just looking for a
reason of fuck with him or whatever. But he didn't
really do himself any favors by just being like really
fucking weird and chaotic and then just uh, I don't
(01:08:46):
know other people. I can't really seem to think of
too much. But yeah, I don't know if there's anything
else you want to add to that?
Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
Uh nah?
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
All right? Uh you have any other news?
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
That said?
Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Right, that's literally all the news we had. It was
a very news heavy show. Let's get to triple Mania.
So Triple Mania it was August the sixteenth, This was Saturday, right.
Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
Let me look at the calendar. Yes it was Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Okay, all right, So Triple Mania thirty three. It was
on YouTube, So if you have a YouTube account, YouTube
is free. If you have YouTube premium if you like yeah,
no it's it was a free show. And also if
(01:09:49):
you have premium you can just avoid ads all together.
So premium is the way to go. But Triple A
it was in as goot both Xartico, Mexico City, Mexico,
was an arena c DMX. Attendance was nineteen six hundred
and ninety one. So it was a pretty pack show.
Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
Before we get in to like the the cars, what'd
you think about, like the stack of the show, the
production and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
I like the aesthetic. It didn't feel like a WWE show.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
I'm like, what's the reason why I didn't like it?
What do you mean I didn't like? I didn't like
it look like a w W show.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
I don't know. I I want to.
Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
So the one of the fun things, I know is
your first Triple Madyia that you watch, and I've been
watching Triple mais for like the last like five years,
six years whatever. The fun part of Triple May is
because of the low budget of it, shitty of their
like of like the the mishaps of like someone's someone's uh,
(01:10:59):
you know, coming on their interest but it's not their
theme that someone else's seem or you know, or like
the bad the bad pickup on the microphones where someone
farts and you hear it, like and these are real
things that have happened. I'm not making this shit up.
These are real things have happened in previous Triple manya
is so like now that it felt like it feels
(01:11:22):
like it's w w E ies. I'm like, oh, man
like that was one of the that was how the
fun of watching Triple A is because of the the
bad production that that Triple chipple A had. But I digress.
Speaker 2 (01:11:37):
Well, no, I was saying it didn't really feel like
a WWE show.
Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
It I'll say it didn't feel like a Triple A show.
I'll just say that, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Well, I mean I can't speak on that, but like,
I mean, the I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
I I I.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Wouldn't say I love the show, but I enjoyed it
for what it was, even though you know, obviously there
are some good moments on it, but.
Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
It was the most fun it was to me, it
was the most fun wrestling show of the year. Not
best or anything with that, but most fun. I had
the most fun watching it. I didn't have to worry about, like,
you know, all the other bullshit that we get with
you know, the w W, E, n x T, and
AW shows. It was just a fun you know, two
(01:12:19):
and a half three hours of wrestling. That's what a
wrestling show should be. It's fun. And they and they
did and they did a little bit of everything in there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
The only thing, the only complain I have is just
like a lot of the music for a lot of
the Triple A guys, where it's like, I understand if
you can't use you know, royalty or music that where
you have to pay royalties for, but it's like this,
like really bad like stock music. It's like, I don't know,
you can come up with that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
That's the charm. That's the charm of it. I mean,
I mean, I like it. I mean I like it.
Like when they're using like this, you know stock music
that you hear you're on like you like to me,
that's the charm of Triple A. Like low budget just
you know, just ballocks and botches and stuff like that.
(01:13:10):
And we didn't get that we got like a very
it was a very good show, I thought. But but
you know, you know, there was this one, you know,
one Triple Mania a couple of years ago where the
main event was like was like the age was over,
you know, one hundred and twenty years old, like yeah,
like two sixty euros in the rink, you know, in
(01:13:31):
your main event of your biggest show. You know what
I mean. But you know, but to me, to me,
that's the charm. I mean, I know that's you know,
if you if you haven't seen a Triple Mania before
and this is your first time watching, you think this
is how Triple A has always been when it when
it really hasn't. Some parts were but but a lot
of times it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:51):
So i'll get you. Uh so okay, before we get
back in anything, so lean hear you.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
You can hear you on my side, you relax. I
didn't hear the first part you said.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
No, I was saying so like okay, so like for
for a little bit you were stuck like I can
obviously hear you, but like your screen like your camera.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Wow, yeah, well no words, no words. I I think
it just may be a connection issue. So it may
be on my side.
Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
But uh, no, I think everything's fine. I mean, it
doesn't look like Craig is fucking up. It didn't look
like YouTube was sucking up. It just looked like your
camera from your side was okay. Yeah, but uh, okay, yeah,
I just want to bring that up. But no, I
agree with you. It was a fun show. Was it
a perfect show? No, But it was a fun show.
It was probably the most you know, most fun you
can watch you know, wrestling all year. But the first
(01:14:58):
match was for a was for the bar Doll Cup.
It was a battle Royal. Uh, what the fuck is
going on with you, suth so. Uh. The opponents were Laparca,
Laredo Kid, Joaquin Wilde, Abismo Negro Junior, Taurus, Aerostar, Meca Wolf, Cruise,
(01:15:30):
Del Toro. Otis was nice, sing Otis Otis. Otis seems
like he fits in, like he just naturally fits into
triple A. Uh, here's an interesting name, Pimpinella Escalata. I
never heard of that person before. And this is kind
(01:15:51):
of a dumb question. That was a man, right, yes, okay,
and then him and otis or I guess her and
otis or them and otis. Again, I'm not trying to
be offensive. I just I don't know what I'm supposed
to go by, but like I guess they had their
(01:16:12):
own thing going on, which which seemed like a very
Otis thing to do. Uh, Cybernetico, Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
Let me let me correct it. There, Cebernetico, Cebernetico, si Rnetico.
That's one of the names that you always heard in
like the Attitude era when came like the Triple A, Like, oh, Cibernetico.
And believe he was definitely on ww F at one point.
I think he was in the right. I think he
was in the ninety said and Roy Rumble if I
(01:16:42):
wanted to say that, And you know also in w
CW as well, so for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Yeah, Microman yeap who he definitely is a Microman him
and Otis or not Otis Boyim and Otis had like
a I guess a partnership where he pins Otis, which okay,
and then he has a standoff with almost and almost
ends up throwing him out, which was kind of funny.
(01:17:13):
And then Octagon Junior yep so almost got the win,
which made sense because it's fucking almost or almos almost,
whatever the fuck you wanna call him. Uh, you know,
they brought him back after he was in Noah and
it's like, okay, what do you do with him now?
And they didn't do anything with him, and they decided
to use him on the show, which makes a lot
(01:17:34):
of sense. Seems like he kind of seems like he
has his home in Triple A.
Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
I don't know about home, but we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Yeah, this this was a nice way to open the show.
It was a gimmick match and Almos got the best
out of it. Otis kind of seems like he fits
right at home. Yeah, but did you have any thoughts
about it?
Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
Very very fun match. I mean, Mecha Wolf, I mean
I've been uh following this guy, I won't say for years,
by being following this guy for at least a couple
of years, you know what I mean. Love is love.
His look his look is is pretty fucking you know, epic,
you know what I mean. He did that. Uh it
was like a pop up kick to the to the liver,
(01:18:25):
fucking fucking great ship. Yeah. So, uh, Mecha Wolf, I
definitely think he was a stand out here in this match. Uh.
Tarrousse is oh Man is uh basically the beast Mortals.
They're they're they're related.
Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
Okay, I did not know that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
Well, I'm being facetious. I don't think they're related, but
I mean they're.
Speaker 2 (01:18:55):
Isn't that the same guy that Beast Mortals was like,
you know, I'm gonna sue him.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
Yeah yeah, I I guess that was more of a
in a joking matter. Yeah right, yeah so but yeah, no,
very fun match. That's what Trouble is all about, all
your different lutradors and characters and stuff like that. Like
a lot of people were there like, oh, they're trying
to be like w w you know, they're being Triple
(01:19:19):
A like just you know some of the characters you
know that you see in here, Like you can have
someone like Mecca wolf In and Tarussin, you know, fucking Pimpanella,
Escalada and Microman all in the same match, and you know,
then in another match you can have someone like uh
(01:19:42):
Nino Hamburg Harberdessa. So yeah, right, person one what they
do with is Omas from here. I think he may
be in Triple A for a little bit, just as
a special attraction, but I don't expect them to be
like a like a main e vendor or anything like that.
(01:20:04):
I think he'll be for spots like this. Put the
titles on uh Omas and Microman. I think that's what
people are clamoring for.
Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
So uh, that's fine with me. I only bothered by that. Next,
as you have a singles match for the Triple A
Latin American Championship, you have l el Hehill Day, Doctor
Wagner Junior versus el Messias. Messias who I remember he
(01:20:33):
appeared in TNA as right for a hot minute and
he was supposed to wrestle a Biss but then I
think he got hurt and.
Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
Oh, he know they wrestled each other. They had a
mastros ball match.
Speaker 2 (01:20:44):
Oh, I don't remember that at all, and I was
watching TNA, like you know, thoroughly back then. But Messius,
uh looks a little smaller Wagner dad. It's worried Wagner's dad.
He looks more of a bad It looks more of
a badass than you know, actual like Junior does.
Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
But like I mean, Doc Wagner, I mean fucking you
know what I mean, He's a fucking legend, man. I remember.
I don't know if you uh, I don't know if
if you ever seen it? Have you ever seen Yeah?
I got you seen the match but Blue but Blue
Demon Junior versus Doctor Wagner.
Speaker 2 (01:21:29):
The names obviously are familiar.
Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
I don't think that match it was so it was
a Triple Maya main event. I think it was like
Triple Maya twenty twenty one, I want to say, or
twenty nineteen. It was one of the other That match
was a blood bath. It was fuck. It was fucked.
(01:21:55):
And Doctor Wagner he he had his mask right, he
lost his mask cycle clown that one of the Triple
Mays as well.
Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
So I don't know, but what you what were your
thoughts on this match? So fine?
Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
It was fine match. It wasn't anything like great or
anything like that. You know, I thought the match should
you know, Dan Eagle is a little I mean, it
went as long as as they needed to, didn't need
to go longer, but you know, having and they told
they told a great story too as well. And you
know with you know, with Doctor Wagner's dad on the outside,
(01:22:31):
and you know, and him and Michi get involved. I mean,
you know, you know, you want to you want to
make these moments special, and they kind of made that
moment special, you know what I mean. If even if
you've never seen Triple Maine before, you got what the
story was, so they told a predamn good story in
this match.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Yeah, I mean the match was it was fine for
what it was. Wasn't anything to really ride home about.
But uh uh, the wagon your junior is the new
Triple A Latin American champion. Next you had a mixed
trios match. You had the Judgment Day Finn Baler and
JD McDonough and Roquel Rodriguez with Rox Sanbettez versus mister Iguana,
(01:23:14):
Nimiel Ambergesa and Lola Weis. As you can guess, uh,
hamburg Gsa isn't just a clever name. He actually does
bring Hamburgers to the ring. And there was a spot
in the match where Finn Baala brings out a little
(01:23:34):
puppet demon to counteract myster iguanas Iguana and which again
it's silly.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Do you think the match was too much comedy?
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Yes, Mike, I mean you know what I mean. And
Finn's not a comedy guy.
Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
Yeah, And again this is Triple This is Triple A,
so it's fine for that realm right, so they do
the comedy as well. I just think that if this
was on WWE TV, or if it was like NXT
or if it was a w people will be fucking
(01:24:15):
slaughtering this right right, So, I mean get it as
part of uh. It is definitely parts of uh Triple
A's I did, you know? So, so I totally get.
Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
It, all right, And then Finn ate a hamburger, which
you know is shocking for him because he doesn't eat
anything with carbs in it. But whatever, I mean, this
match was a match you you weren't really expecting anything
crazy out of it. The fans obviously love mister Iguana.
The WW fans seem to like Mystery Iguana. Uh, I
(01:24:48):
mean because he's a gimmick. You know, American wrestling fans
more so WWE. They love gimmicks, and so, you know,
good for him. The guy is gonna make money. He's
probably gonna make more money than he's ever made before.
But like I was kind of I guess I was
more interested to see how Lola was gonna do. I
was kind of let down that I didn't get to
(01:25:08):
see Roxanne wrestle. I would have preferred if it was
Roxanne over Roquel, But you know what I.
Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
Mean, I mean, I was I was thinking kind of
the same thing. But I'm not gonna be you know,
I mean I think, you know, give give her kill
the chance here and you know, see what she could do,
and she did fine, you know what I mean. You
know what I mean. So, I mean you can't you
can't always prefer I mean, you can't always have the
star the workhorse to go like, yeah, I give other
(01:25:35):
people chances to so and they maybe we're killed. I'll
play it to you this week. I know we haven't
gotten too raw yet, but with Naomi relinqu machine the title,
I wouldn't be as rights as they put on Raquel.
Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
Well, we'll get to that, but yeah, it's you know,
the match was what it was again, but like I
was more interested to see how the girls are gonna
do more, more so than the guys. And you know,
Raquel again, I've said it before, Roquel has gotten better,
you know she you know, ever since the Kevin Nash comments.
You know, she could have just been whiny about it,
(01:26:19):
but now she was like, you know, you're right, I
need to work more. I need to work more from
my size and she yeah, she's been working more like
a big girl and it's paid off. But yeah, judgment
Day got the win. Next is you had to do
street fight for the Triple A World Tackling Championships. You
(01:26:39):
had Pagano and Psycho Clown versus Los Garzas or Lows
s Garza, Berto and Angel. It was fun. It was
it was a fun match. I mean, the fans are
obviously into it. I was a little perplexed or I
guess confused more with the spot with the with the
with the chain or no the barboire. I mean I
(01:27:00):
thought it was just like, well, I don't know really
know if that's needed, but you know whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:27:05):
But again again you're I think you're looking at from
your watching from w W E eyes that's triple A,
Triple A, Triple A. They do that ship so like
again that that that fucking Blue Demon Junior doctor Wagner
(01:27:26):
Metcott fucking man. Just it's so it's a fucking bloody manchine.
You gotta go back and watch. It's on YouTube. It's
on YouTube. It's in Spanish, but it's on YouTube, and
like it's it's like hammers and cinder blocks and just blood,
just like so much blood. Like the whole arm is
like fucking it covered in blood. Coming that that came
(01:27:48):
from the face like it's it's that that triple A.
That's Summer on Basso number two as well. I looked
at that Bob Wire on that Spanish flo. I don't
think that was real personally, you know, look real to me.
Look look kind of Halloween decoration ish.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Right, Again, I'm pretty sure it wasn't like, you know,
anything crazy like actually, like you just said, it was
probably just like decoration of short. But it was a
fun match. I mean I had fun watching it. I
was a little surprised that they went with Pegano and
Psycho Clown to get the tag titles off of them.
But you know, you can't have your WW guys win
(01:28:29):
all the time. I guess you still got to put
over your homegrown talent, which you know, it is what
it is. But what do you think about the match?
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
That was a fun match. I mean that's my type
of matches anyway. Like I love the not necessarily the hardcore,
but the matches with the spots and the tables and
the you know, uh, you know, the high risk moves
and stuff like that that you know, you get that's
a popcorn match. You can just sit there watch it
and have fun. With it, so.
Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
Right, you know, there's really not too much else to
add to that. Next is you had a three way
match for the Triple A Raina Day Raina's Championship. You
had is it flamber Flamer, Lady Flamer, Flamor uh Flamer,
Lady Fabiapacci, and Natalia. I'm gonna be honest, I actually
(01:29:26):
fell asleep during this match, so I from what I heard,
it really wasn't that worth watching. I didn't hear very
good things about this match. But what did you think
about it?
Speaker 3 (01:29:38):
I fell asleep?
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
You fell asleep?
Speaker 4 (01:29:42):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
Okay, uh, but what'd you think that was? It was
a match, all right?
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
Yeah, I can't really add too much to it, but
all right, so let's move on to the main event.
The main event was a four way match for the
Triple A Mega Championship. You had El Hijo Delphi Kingo,
the Champion, Dominic Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Oh Grande Americana, who
actually who actually sang himself to the ring. He had
(01:30:13):
Mariachi's playing and he and he actually sang to the ring,
which I'm like, geez, Like, there was a point where
I was actually where I was getting tired of the chemick.
And now I'm just like, never never ever stopped doing
this gimmick ever, like give it to the next guy
that you don't want to do anything with. And you know,
I mentioned on the show last week the Triple A fans,
(01:30:38):
you know, I mean, it just kind of goes into
what we're going to talk about now, is that they
were booing the Kingo and that's like their homegrown guy. Ye,
but they're cheering on Dom like he's the fucking like
he's the fucking rock and you know they and they
fucking love El Grande. And you know, I mentioned this
(01:30:58):
on the show last week. It's like a lot of casuals,
a lot of American wrestling fans and I'm just gonna
say it. White people are complaining about this gimmick, are
talking about, oh, it's racist, and it's like you have
you see and you see the fucking Mexican fans in
Triple A that are like, we love this gimmick, we
get it, it works, you know, And I don't know,
(01:31:22):
that's just it's just a testament to you know, how
they think and how American wrestling fans think, you know
what I mean. It's like and I know this is
kind of like different, but it's like it's like in
the movie Tropic Thunder, where you know, Robert Downey Junior
does blackface, and you have a lot of these like
gen Z millennials. They are like, oh, this is racist,
and it's like, did you actually watch the movie? Though
(01:31:43):
it's like no, but this is racist. So it's like,
we'll watch the movie. You'll understand like what the whole
point of that was. But yeah, going back to what
I was saying earlier, you know, the Kingo getting booed,
which was a little surprising. They even tried to really
hype it up with like great mysterio, trying to get
them over, but they still they boot him even harder
(01:32:06):
if that was the case. But they love the shut down.
And we were going back and forth with it last
week where I was just like, I think DOM should win.
I think I even brought up the possibility of maybe
AJ coming out to fuck with them, and and now
that's what ended up happening. AJ came out on a
mask and you know, screwed over Dom, which you know,
(01:32:30):
they're still going to continue that feud, which I'm happy about.
I still want to see that feud continue and also
to jump ahead the announce that Dom will face you
know if it can go at World's Collide for the title.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
But uh, do you know why the Kingos game boots
so hard?
Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
Well, I'm just gonna go by what I think. I mean,
you're there's probably a more deeper reason behind it, but
like I just think it's just the Kingo is just
he's kind of bland, like he does the he does
the nice flippydus, but he has no personality. Dom has
more personality and he can actually have a good match.
(01:33:13):
But why is he getting booed?
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
Has nothing to do?
Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Well, I said, I figure it's a deeper reason.
Speaker 3 (01:33:20):
But that's not even not even the stratsphere. It's because
of del Rio. They the fans like del Rio down there,
and they feel that that the king is getting shoved
down their throat kind of like you know, twenty fourteen,
twenty fifteen Roman reigns. So they're booing him because not
(01:33:42):
because they don't think it's talented, they're blowing him because
he's getting shoved down their throat. That someone I'm also
number two, Remember when like the Kingo like a couple
of years ago, You know when you first heard of
the king Goo, like, why is it number two? And
you know the d W I that's because he was
(01:34:03):
having a fucking tiraing for like you know, six hundred
something days, right, so so so kind of think about
it like that. He had you know, this long ass
first Tyr Regin, right. Uh, remember he got injured, He
got injured, he had to release Rish the belt, it
(01:34:24):
got to you know, del Rio, and now he won
the title back. I think it's just fatigue from the
Kingo because at first, when he first game, people you know,
loved him, you know what I mean down in Mexico.
But I think it's fatigue at this point Day's game
pushed down the throat. I don't I don't think it's
nothing to do with like, oh dom Dom were over
(01:34:45):
or anything like that. They just want someone new as
champion and they had they had del Rio. They probably
want Dom right, or they do want them. I should say,
they want you know, El Grande, you know what I mean.
So m hm, that's the reason why he was getting boom.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Okay, I mean that makes sense, I mean and yeah, yeah, yeah,
I was kind of go from there. But I mean
I thought this match was fun. I mean, for for
better or for worse is maybe the best thing on
the show as far as a wrestling match goes, Dragon Lee,
I this is why I'm glad that, you know, w
(01:35:27):
W he is having these partnerships with you know, TNA
and Triple A. Is that guys that aren't really used
that much on the shows they can just go to
the other companies and just be used more. And you know,
dragon Ly being used on Triple A really showcases, you know,
his talents of like, oh wait, this guy, this guy
is still very good, Like, you know, he actually has talent.
(01:35:47):
He belongs here. It makes sense for him being this
match El Grande or you know, Kaiser. You know, however
you choose to whatever, you choose to believe. How he's
able to work the style he does. The fact that
he's very fluent and speaking Spanish and he can also
(01:36:09):
sing in Spanish is just like this guy is like
uper talented. I mean, he's obviously never going to be
a gunther, but he has his own little piece of
land so to speak, picked out, and he has this
gimmick and it's working for him. So whenever Chad Gable
does come back, that's going to be an interesting feud.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
It's gonna be it's gonna be like an Undertaker versus Undertaker.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
Yeah, pretty much. And then he also now he has
his own little stable of the El Grande Americanos, you know,
with fucking Pete Dunn and uh and Tyler Bate. So
I like the idea of that. W WW just picking
like the Bland White Ice and their company and be like, hey,
put on this El Grande Americana mask. So I mean,
(01:36:57):
give him something to do that at the end of
the day, it's just like, if you don't have anything
for someone to do, find something for them to do,
and they're making the most of it. I mean, I
can't really add too much else to this that we
haven't already spoken of.
Speaker 3 (01:37:14):
I will say this, I thought it was one of
the best main events of twenty twenty five. Not five
Star Match, not five Star Match or anything like that,
but I thought it was one of the best events
the main events of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:37:27):
Agree, but I really did enjoy this show. It was fun,
it was ridiculous in some way.
Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
That's triple a man, you know what I ran.
Speaker 2 (01:37:43):
No, No, I agree with it.
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
The only thing we were missing was, you know, Vampire
on commentary come in to do the save up for
someone and he's just sitting there waiting for his music
to be played so he could go into the ring.
Have you seen that clip before won the Triple Manias?
Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
No? I haven't.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
So it was like it was a triple Media maybe
like a couple of years back whatever, right, And there
was like the heels were in the ring? Whoever? Right?
And I think I think it was the Hills anyway. Regardless, though,
Vampiro is supposed to get you know, go in the
ring and you know kind of like clear clear out
the ring whatever and get physical, and basically he knew
(01:38:24):
his cue, so he stood up wave for his music
to be played. And I forgot the other commentator that
was like maybe like Josh Matthews or somebody like that, right,
was like like hell, maybe you should go into the
ring and looks like the car for you and and
Vampiro's is there play.
Speaker 2 (01:38:42):
My fucking music?
Speaker 3 (01:38:43):
What? What the fuck my fucking music?
Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
Okay, good ship, I love it, fampaero fampero, play my
fucking music.
Speaker 2 (01:38:59):
But that Triplemania, I would say seven and a half
out of ten.
Speaker 3 (01:39:06):
Uh, did you agree? Yeah, that's my seven seven and
a half out ten.
Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
Yeah, you know, the good stuff was good, the ridiculous
stuff was ridiculous, and the bad was bad. That's overall
the best way to put it. I don't really want
to get too much into Raw other than like the
big news tidbits. Overall, Raw wasn't a very good show.
It was in Philly. Well, let's just kind of get
(01:39:33):
the obvious out of the way. Naomi.
Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
I mean, I thought I thought, I thought Raw was fine,
and I think it was terrible. I thought was okay.
Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
But Naomi, Naomi. We we brought it up last week
that Naomi had missed last week's RAW due to a
medical issue. There was, you know, rumors of you know
what you know happened, But I I remember saying some
(01:40:02):
of all the lines of just like, you know, I
don't want to speculate too much, but you know, we'll
just keep it at that until we find out next week.
And they were kind of just basically leaving breadcrumbs as
to you know, you're gonna want to watch this, and
Naomi addresses you know, the women's division. Even her dad
put out of things saying, watch Raw. You know it's
(01:40:23):
it's gonna be fire as the as the kids would say,
and you know, other people were saying, shit, they basically
spoiled it the night of where it's just like Stephan
mickmahon is gonna have a special edition of her podcast
with Naomi and Jimmy, and I'm just like you guys
couldn't just like wait, what the fuck? But you know whatever,
(01:40:49):
Naomi comes out and she makes the and she basically
just turns to the Titan tron of her making the announcement.
Jimmy's saying, you know, pretty soon you're gonna have to
proceed with caution because we're having a baby, girl, or
we're having a we're having a baby, which yeah, yeah,
I mean they let the cap of the back, you know,
that's what happened. And I thought it's weird because I
(01:41:15):
thought it was the best promo by any woman announcing
that she's pregnant, which is the weirdest way to put it,
because this.
Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
Was the best promo of Naomi's career.
Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
Oh yeah, I mean because Becky has.
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
The most memorable one by far.
Speaker 2 (01:41:32):
Yeah, because Becky, you know, she had her promo where
she you know, said I'm going to go off to
be a mom and hers was more emotional, whereas you know,
Naomi's was still emotional. But Naomi still still stayed true
to her character, where you know, Adam Pearce is congratulating her,
and then Naomi goes, oh, you think I'm just gonna
hand you this title. I ain't hand you shit. You know,
(01:41:54):
get out of my ring, and you know, she's like,
you know, just because I'm gone doesn't mean I'm not gonna,
you know, still keep my eye on the show. Whoever
wins that title, I'm gonna come back and beat your ass,
like pretty much like I don't care if I'm coming
back with my child that's breastfeeding, you know, in my arm,
I'm gonna kick all you have his asses. So I
(01:42:15):
thought that was good. Again, that was, like you said,
that was the best promo of Naomi's career, and seven
weeks pregnant, she Rustledgnant with fucking EO doing like the
stomp on her belly, which I'm like, Jesus Christ, it's
mortifying a thing about now. But like, obviously, congratulations to
(01:42:40):
Naomi and Jimmy. I know Jimmy has his own kids
from a previous relationship, but you know, this is Naomi's
first kid, and she you.
Speaker 3 (01:42:50):
Know from from what I heard that she has been
trying to have a child for a while, but it's
been really difficult for her, you know what I mean,
So she ain't think she will be able to be
able to get pregnant, so right, she.
Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Mentioned it on Total Divas, right, which I mean it
makes a story that much sweeter because you know Naomi
or Trinity, you know, we've all known her to be
a sweetheart of a person and she seems like someone
who would be fun to hang out hang out around,
and her and Jimmy make a make a good couple.
They seem like a couple that has fun together. You know.
(01:43:27):
She even made you know, a comment during the promo like,
you know, you know big Jim is a Netflix and
chill tap of GAF, you know what I mean. And
you know, the fans started chanting otc OTC, which which
they actually showed Roman's reaction in the back where he's like,
you know, I guess I guess my kids aren't the
youngest anymore. That's already a big ass family too, because
(01:43:49):
you know, I think Jimmy, I think Jay is the
one that has the least amount of kids. You know,
Jimmy has the most kids now, Roman I think has fives.
Jacob thought too has like a basketball team essentially. But
I mean this is obviously good for them. Again for
(01:44:10):
selfish reasons. It's it's, you know, Naomi's on the best
run of her career, but like as a human being,
obviously good for her. I'm happy.
Speaker 3 (01:44:19):
I don't think. I don't think she has to worry
about her spot. I think she's gonna come back even
more over.
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
So oh no, me. It's it's not like it was
back then, where it's just like if you're gone, then
you lose your spot. Nowadays, it's like if you're gone,
you're still going to get paid and you're gonna come
back even better than ever, or even bigger than ever. So,
you know, good for Naomi, great promos.
Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
The fallout for this h for for the women's division.
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
Well, I mean Stephane mccor. She was supposed to wrestle
her Naomi at a at Clash in Paris. I don't
know if that's going to change her, that's going to
stay the same.
Speaker 3 (01:44:56):
Well, I mean she's not wrestling Naomi obviously.
Speaker 2 (01:44:59):
But I met like being in the match That's what
I meant.
Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
I believe that we are gonna get a women's match
at class in Paris, right. So the other thing I
wanted to bring up, man raw Is is in trouble
right now as far as their women's division, as far
as the heels, at least, you don't got a lot
(01:45:24):
of heels. You got Rock Sanne, you got Raquel.
Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
Bailey.
Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
Now maybe they're gonna they're gonna have to definitely turn
Bailey Heil. There's no there's no option you have to like, yeah,
we're uh, we're pregnant. We're n't pregnant here. I mean not,
I didn't. I didn't mean it like that for nailmen,
but I just meant that in general for the uh,
for the women's division.
Speaker 2 (01:45:53):
So before before we get back into that, I just
kind of wanted to ask a question anyone in discord,
can y'all hear us? Because I see there's like five
people in, but I don't really see anyone responding in
the chat.
Speaker 3 (01:46:07):
Dude, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
Bro Okay Kyle says you can hear.
Speaker 3 (01:46:10):
I think I think they would have said something long
time ago if they couldn't hear us. But I guess
someone's really changing today tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
So okay, anyways, just I just wanted to bring that up. Anyways,
let's continue with this.
Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
But they are in tune to what we're saying. That's
that's good, right, But uh yeah, you're right.
Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
I mean the you know, the division. Obviously there's talent,
but they're in there in disarray as far as like
heels because Bailey, I mean, she's been doing these vignettes
where she's been teasing going heel, which it looks like
they're gonna go to her being healed, but it's like
with her, it's weird because like the most recent vignette
(01:46:47):
they had where it's like she hears voices in her head,
which is just like, okay, so you're gonna have crazy Bailey, Like,
I don't know what you're gonna do with that. I
don't You're obviously not gonna turn real heel because Rio
is your your cash cow as far as the women's go,
they're gonna that. I mean, they've been teasing about turning
(01:47:10):
Oscar heel, but as well, yeah, but is gonna be
your top you know female heel, Like I don't see
that happening.
Speaker 3 (01:47:19):
You're kinda you're gonna you need you need people, you
need people to step up. Okay, So if you had
to pick two top heels for the women's division on
a raw right now, who who would they be that?
I'm like, you know in the main event.
Speaker 2 (01:47:36):
Picture, Well, Becky is the heel.
Speaker 3 (01:47:41):
It's okay, So she's so she's the US Women's champion
currently Intercontinental. Oh kind, I'm sorry for my apologies Intercontinental
and Bailey. Okay, So I don't see Becky. I I
don't want to see Becky two belts. I'll just that, right. So,
(01:48:02):
you got Bailey, you got you got Roxanne, you got Raquel,
and you got Oscar. I think those four women right
there can do something now with uh, Raquel and Roxanne.
(01:48:23):
You know, are these are they still gonna go back
after the tag Dune Donalds, I don't know. You know, well,
we'll see with that, right but as of right now
on the raw brand, that's what we're looking at. Do
you see anyone from SmackDown coming over to Monday Night
Raw or or any calls call ups from NXT that
(01:48:44):
they can bring in hm hmm. It's I don't think
right now on the hillside things, I don't think there's
anybody who who is ready to come up. I mean
you can. You can, obviously, if you're really want to,
you can do fucking you know, Brooke Monroe and just
call it a like Blake Monroe and just call it
(01:49:06):
a day, right, you know you can do that. But
I don't think I don't think it's necessary. Yeah, I
don't think they want to hot shot that. You also
got Kyrie saying too as well, So I mean it's yeah,
I mean they're thinking about I don't know. I don't
know what they're doing with it. Seems like maybe turning Hill.
I don't know right now, just keep her baby face,
(01:49:28):
to be honest, because you can't turn everybody heel too
at the same time, and I think they able to
be more effective right now than a Lyra as a heel.
Speaker 2 (01:49:35):
So I don't know, like NXT, like the only ones
that seem more the only heels heels I can think of,
like you just said, Blake, But I don't know if
they want to hot shot that already.
Speaker 3 (01:49:49):
No, the other lie this devil. I mean, you're not
gonna bring up Jason Jane, no, Jasmin Nicks, no Falling
and Lee.
Speaker 2 (01:50:04):
I was gonna say Jada, But is Jada really a heel?
Speaker 4 (01:50:07):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:50:07):
You know what what Isna? Just bring back Naya Jacks?
Fuck it?
Speaker 1 (01:50:13):
What are they doing?
Speaker 3 (01:50:14):
I Jack? Put Nia jacksone. I know she's on the
smack up, just fucking raw and call it a day.
Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Yeah, that makes more sense. I mean again, I think
we're the only like NYA defenders on here where.
Speaker 3 (01:50:28):
It's not really there's a lot of people like Naya,
A lot of people, you know, but people, but there's
a lot of people out there.
Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
Naya is good at being I mean Nya, I think,
and Naya is a natural heel and she's good. So
it's just one of those things that just like you're
gonna have to pick somebody, they're obviously not gonna have
to be.
Speaker 3 (01:50:48):
It's gonna have to be somebody. But again, I wouldn't
I wouldn't be surprised if they if they want to
try to put the Toddle on Raquel personally, I'm not
saying that I will want that. I want it, but
I'm saying for WW I wouldn't be surprised if they
try to go that route.
Speaker 5 (01:51:08):
Why Raquel specifically because of the fact that she is
getting this push on TV as I will not necessarily
I won't say real like, but as a dominant big woman,
and they're trying to push her as that, and I
think Raquel can't end up putting someone over.
Speaker 3 (01:51:32):
Like they can put the title on Raquel for a
little bit and eventually half Stephanie beat her, right or
maybe they turn end up turning Roxanne and babyface and it,
you know, or Raquel turns babyface and Roxanne is still
hill and she she wins and you know, and you know,
Roxanne is a part of the Judgment day. With the
title and Raquel's out of Judgment day, they can go
with a lot of routes with with Raquel being champion.
(01:51:55):
If you put the title belt on Bailey, that's cool, right,
Well what stories are going to be there that we
haven't seen already? I mean, you got her and Lyra
you know, I mean you can do her and Stephanie cool, right, Osca, Okay, yeah, sure,
that's cool. But I think that to me personally, I
(01:52:15):
think you could do something a little bit more something
with Raquel and you know, and and eventually to help
have Roxy end up getting the title. I think that
would be a better route than just like because that's
right now, Like, the only way, the only way Roxy's
gonna get to tell she went to music if she
went Rumble, which is which is a good possibility for
next year.
Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
So okay, all right, there's no.
Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Reason, there's a reason behind it. I'm not just blowing
it out of my ass.
Speaker 2 (01:52:43):
So oh no, I agreed. Also a side note, WW
will be overseas starting this Friday. They'll be in London,
I believe this Friday, and then Monday they'll be in Or.
Let me pull up the schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:53:09):
Speaking of overseas, AW was in Scotland today. It had
a good crowd there from what it looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
Where is SmackDown this week? Okay? This Friday? SmackDown will
be in Dublin, Ireland at the Three Arena on August
twenty second, and then Monday they'll be in Or. Next Friday,
they'll be in France the day before the France paper view,
(01:53:38):
so it'll be an early start time, so it'll be
pretty much in the afternoon, not pretty much. We'll be Yeah,
where's Bran? Next week?
Speaker 3 (01:53:47):
On TV?
Speaker 2 (01:53:50):
It will be or you're not telling me shit, okay, Birmingham, UK,
I'm sorry. It'll be Birmingham, UK, August twenty sixth, and
like SmackDown, it will be early in the day. So
just a programming note again if you have a VPN,
(01:54:11):
if you live overseas, but if you have a VPN,
you can just switch it over to the UK and
watch Raw at two pm in the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (01:54:20):
No, you don't have to do that for wrong, Yeah,
not for wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
Yeah, SmackDown, I'm sorry, Yeah, SmackDown. You just switch over
to the old trusty VPN and just watch SmackDown at
like two or three pm in the afternoon. But for
Raw you don't need to worry about. You can just
watch Raw regardless that in the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (01:54:40):
But uh.
Speaker 2 (01:54:43):
Yeah, I mean rock Cat could be an interesting choice.
I mean, you know, do you need to put it
on Old Faithful or you just were you going to
try someone new? I think Judgment Day is you know.
Speaker 3 (01:54:58):
Your probably you think it's probably gonna be EO that's
probably gonna end up waging it, which I'm totally fine with.
Speaker 2 (01:55:04):
So fine with. Yeah. EO is you know, without doubt,
the best woman's wrestler in the company. She's also one
of the best women's wrestlers in general. So if you
if you put it back on.
Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
IO the Best Wrestlers period.
Speaker 2 (01:55:17):
You know, if you want to do EO and Stephanie
in France, I'd be totally fine with that. I don't
think anyone would bad deny at that. I think that's
I think that's the match people want it in general.
Speaker 3 (01:55:29):
Is there is there any chance that wherever Matt Schall
would be Stephanie wins.
Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
I was gonna say, it's like, I don't know, it's weird.
Ever since Stephanie got brought up to the main roster,
It's like, I don't know if maybe they're kind of
giving her that going through treatment of preserving her for
more important things on the show. Like do you think
that's kind of how they're doing Stephanie right now?
Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
What do you think? I think, Yeah, I don't necessarily
think so. But she just hasn't been used I know that.
Speaker 2 (01:56:12):
Right, Like, I mean, she's obviously come up from matches,
and she had the match at Evolution, but ever since then,
you know, she had that one backstage segment with Naomi
where Naomi, you know, was talking shit. But I don't know,
would you be surprised if maybe they just changed the
match come Monday or still keep Stephanie in the match.
Speaker 3 (01:56:32):
No, she's she won a match to to to go
on to be at Clash in Paris.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
So I mean I wouldn't. I wouldn't hate as Stephanie
one because they obviously love her. She obviously has a
fan base and she's over. I don't know, I think
that might be rushing her success a little bit too soon.
Speaker 3 (01:56:56):
The fan the fans they know are but they don't
completely know. Or Yeah, I would not put the title
in Stephanie right now.
Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
Yeah, I don't give her too much too soon. I
mean we just talked about.
Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
Fucking soon, way too fucking soon.
Speaker 2 (01:57:08):
I mean we just talked about the Kingo being shoved
down everyone's throat. You don't want to do it with Stephanie.
I mean, she she's fucking dropped dead, gorgeous and all,
and she's great in the ring, but like eventually people
are gonna get tired of that and they're gonna boo her.
So you want to wait, you want to really preserve
her her stardom. And I mean I can see her
(01:57:28):
winning the Rumble. I can see her winning the Rumble
and facing whosever the women's champion is. So but yeah,
I could see EO winning, I wouldn't I wouldn't mind
that EO is champion. I think is the safe bet.
I think that's what works. Whatever they're doing with Bailey,
I don't know what they're gonna do with Bailey this
(01:57:50):
whole She's going crazy thing. I'm like, oh, okay, we'll
see how that works. And then I don't know, other
people will see other works. But but yeah, that's essentially
the biggest news that came out of Raw. The rest
of the show, again, it was in Philly the vision
(01:58:12):
kick after show and Paul Hayman just Paul Hyman being
Paul Haman where he's talking shit to jay Uso in
the crowd and saying, jay Uso, you know is blah
blah blah, and then he brings up Tommy Dreamer where
he's like the you know, the late great Tommy Dreamer
who's not even dead but he should be.
Speaker 3 (01:58:33):
I was that was something else.
Speaker 2 (01:58:35):
I'll say that, and bron Breakers like he's still alive. Unfortunately,
only only Paul Hayman can say that. But uh, the
main event was jay Us versus bron Breaker in a
street in a Philly and it was a Philly street fight. Yeah,
and Jay Uso came out paying homage to uh new Jack,
(01:58:56):
which I thought was kind of cool. Yeah, which if
you look up interviews from the USO's, you know, especially
when knew Jack had passed away, they had said that
they would stay up late watching e c W when
it was on TNN, right, and you know, and knew
Jack was their guy. So and and I can't believe that.
I can I can honestly believe that. But I thought
(01:59:21):
I thought it was kind of cool, you know, Jay
paying homage to new Jack. The match itself was it
was a match. It was what it was. You know,
the Philly fans loved violence, and it was it was
a good it was a fun It was a fun match.
It was fun for what it was. Then, of course,
you know the gaga, you know, being you know that
(01:59:41):
Bron Bronson Greed came out, and then of course Roman
came out and then see him Punk and Seth battled
into the audience. Roman came out to a big reaction
and helped his cousin get the win. So it looks
like it's going to be Roman and Braun Bronson Reed
(02:00:02):
at at the Paris Paper View. So Rome is going
to get his shoes back. It's going to be a
shoe on a pole match I'm playing. But yeah, the
rest of the show, you had let me just go
through the card real quick because they're coming a little
bit short on time. Ye had EO Sky versus Roquel Rodriguez.
(02:00:24):
I thought the match was fine. I didn't think it
was a bad match. Like I mentioned that I mentioned
with Roquel, she's been showing a lot of improvement and
working like a big girl, and she's got that fucking
big boot down pat that ship looks like it. That
looks that ship looks like it actually connects and uh afterwards, uh,
you know, the rest of the Judgment day or not
(02:00:46):
the rest of the Judgment day, but Roquel and Roxanne
were beating down uh EO, to which Rhea came out
to make the save, and then in the back, who
the fuck was it? Osca and Oscar was you know,
getting mad that Rhea got involved and says, we don't
need your help and blah blah blah, so teasing that
(02:01:08):
Oscar heel turn, which eventually we're gonna get Oscar and Ea,
which had these two of rustled before, right Oscar and.
Speaker 3 (02:01:16):
Uh oh yeah, oh, yeah, but not in w W Yeah,
w wah, Yeah I didn't. Yeah, I believe they did
or maybe I don't know. But over there in stardom, yeah,
fuckingly they had.
Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
Yeah, this is a match. I think this is a match.
Obviously people are gonna want to see and I want
to see it too. I got Penta versus Xavier Woods,
which Xavier Woods still met at Penta for throwing away
his hat that that cost eighteen thousand dollars, which is funny.
Corey Graves, I think has really stepped up his game
(02:01:56):
and has really become entertaining again since you know, doing
that Triple show a few months ago, and you know,
he's wearing a shirt that the New Day put out
where says the New Day warns. So I don't know
it's funny, but pent I got the win. Yeah, mister
Iguana and Dragon Lee versus the Judgment Day. Judgment Day
(02:02:20):
got the wins as expected, and mister Iguana over with
the American wrestling crowd and the King Goo came out
afterwards to confront Dom and again, I don't want to
make this into a Viking Goo shitting on fest. But
didn't really get a reaction from the fans. He just
(02:02:42):
came out and people were like, Oh, it's that guy,
and that's really about it. So yeah, you had the
women's Are Continent Champion Natalian Championship Natalia versus Becky Lynch.
I'll be honest, I wasn't in the room for this match.
I was actually otherwise, you know, occupied, if you know
what I mean. So I didn't get a really chance.
(02:03:06):
I was taking a ship. Oh okay, but not by choice.
I had wings, So the wings are coming back. But
can you tell me anything about this match?
Speaker 3 (02:03:16):
That was a graphic Love it though, love the graphics.
Speaker 2 (02:03:20):
Love it, love it level, love it. And then Seamus
and Russ continue to brawl, which Adam Pearce said, YouTube
are gonna have a dog clash in Paris, so yeah,
and then he ended it with a drink. I love
Adam pears We already talked about Naomi and then the
(02:03:42):
Extreme Rules match, and that's really about it. There's really
nothing else to add to RAW again. Rall was other
than the Naomi stuff. The show was what it was NXT.
I guess since we're gonna talk about heat Wave, I'd
rather just kind of gloss over NXT and just the
(02:04:05):
main event was fun. You had Obafemi verse or not
Oba fam. He had Trick Williams versus Javon Evans. Javon
Evans a bumping machine. You know there's a spot where
Trick through Javon off off of the ropes and then
he just crashes to the table. So that was kind
of fun. And even Oba is like, well shit, uh
(02:04:27):
there was a spot where Oba disappears and you just
see Mike Santana in the ring, you know, keeping his
eye on Trick. You know, he still wants that TNA
championship and uh, you know Javon got the win. Who's
it Cutler James from the from Dark State? Who his
new gimmick is? Now? He just says very kind of
(02:04:48):
ambiguously gay things or multiple Hey, it's getting him over,
and it's you know, I haven't been the biggest dark
Matter or Dark State fan.
Speaker 3 (02:05:02):
No you haven't.
Speaker 2 (02:05:04):
I haven't.
Speaker 3 (02:05:04):
But this is what's I thought you say you have?
I thought you say you have, you say you have it.
I'm sorry, my bad, No, No I haven't.
Speaker 2 (02:05:11):
But like this is funny because when he made that
comment where he's like telling Joe Hendry, yeah, you don't
want us behind you and you just hear like I
think it was Sugar who was like, come on, man,
why do you gotta say it like that? Oh, I
don't know that. It's funny, it's funny. I know. RJ
has kind of been like, this guy doesn't really have
(02:05:33):
a purpose in the group, and now he does is
just to make very He's.
Speaker 3 (02:05:37):
Like, hey, I'm I'm I'm the sust guy and you know, yeah,
I don't mean to be you. You also want to
know how he got this gammick in the first place.
Hell he I believe it was on uh. I think
it was like on LFG, I want to say, or
something like that, where he was basically like in front
(02:06:01):
of like the Undertaker and like, you know, a couple
other guys, and uh, I guess there was I guess
they were saying, like, hey, do a promo about putting
someone's fists up their ass, and like he he he
cut a promo and he got big pop out of everybody.
So I guess they want to incorporate that on on TV.
Speaker 2 (02:06:22):
So sure it's working, it's working. But that was essentially NXT.
I mean, you have Blake Monroe and Jordan Grace do
their promo stick to promote this weekend. Yeah, really nothing else, really,
(02:06:42):
nothing else to write home about. I mean, they they
were in a they weren't in the usual they weren't
in the twenty three hundred arena, which I was kind
of let down by because I liked it when they
were there. But I thought the setup was good. Ricky
Starks versus what the fuck's his name? Big dude?
Speaker 3 (02:07:02):
Oh Jasper Troy.
Speaker 2 (02:07:07):
Which the match is fine. I mean I put out
there that Jasper Troy loses yet another big feud. So
it's like at this point.
Speaker 3 (02:07:17):
It Yeah, I already knew it was an issue when
he came up and he this is why you don't
bring up people to challenge for the title. Immediately where
did they go from there? He lost against a FAMI
and I was the kids, Ricky Starry, gim them off TV.
Just just put them back down there, put them down.
E've alved in Leham rebuilt himself because it's it ain't
(02:07:40):
you know? Yeah? Is it? Yeah? Yeah, it's not good
anything that he does going for I just don't believe so.
Speaker 2 (02:07:49):
And then you had the US and Canada Summit with
Chelsea Green and Ethan Page, which I which I like
those two together because Chelsea Green is obviously she's she's
over and she has a great character. And then Ethan Page,
you know, he's doing the best work of his career
in a n next like he's getting over as a
heel and he's getting this you know, Canada stuff over.
(02:08:12):
I mean, I guess, I guess what I mean by
Canada stuff over is like, you know, he's leaning into
you know, I'm gonna be the foreign heel that shits
on America and it works, and you have Cholsea grinning
and it just makes him it makes it work even better.
Tyram may Steele, I will say I think she sounds
(02:08:33):
more comfortable on the mic. She doesn't sound like she's
stumbling over her words, Like when she talks, she actually
sounds like she's having a conversation with you, and she's
not doing the whole I'm speaking in front of you know,
six people as opposed to speaking in a room full of,
you know, six hundred people. So I think she she
(02:08:55):
sounds more comfortable on the mic to me, and she
was she was able to keep up with Chelsea, and
that's kind of a tall task. And I like, I
like Chelsea saying listen missus honey bunches of oats. So
I thought that was kind of funny. Tavion, he still
needs work on the mic. He sounded like he was
(02:09:15):
kind of stumbling a little bit. Great wrestler, but still
needs work on the mic. But other than that, I
mean NXT the Go Home Show was kind of a
very not a bad show, but a very kind of
cut and dry kind of show to kind of lead
up to heat Wave, which, if it's all the same
(02:09:36):
to you, I'm gonna cut out forbid and door and
we can just review and we just predict heatwave and
then you know, call on a night. Is that okay? Yep, okay,
So we'll just kind of go through this real quick.
Heat Wave is going to be this Sunday in Lowell,
Massachusetts at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, August twenty fourth. Uh,
(02:10:00):
the six matches.
Speaker 3 (02:10:03):
I think I may need to cut out here early
right now. Actually, let me see, sorry about that. Uh,
we'll see. Uh yeah, if you need to cut out, Yeah, no,
I gotta cut out because my dad needs fucking help
with something at this time, So I gotta go. You
(02:10:24):
gotta go over there. Let me see he's been texting
me here, hold on, yeah, yeah, I'm out to cut
out early, but good show, guys. Who else is here? Maurice,
Kyle Scott, Thank you guys for coming in as always.
But yeah, I'll don't want to go on, so I'll
let your vanish up here, but I'll see you later,
(02:10:47):
all right, take care of men, all right? Piece out man, Yes,
all right, So he hey the quick and then we'll
call it tonight. Jordan Grace versus Blake Monroe. I'm assuming
Blake run Road goes over, you know, by some nefarious means,
you know, by being a heel i E. And then uh,
(02:11:07):
Jordan goes to the main Ruster, which kind of seems
like the way to go now, especially with Naomi being out.
Taxi Matter NX Tax Team Championships Hank and Tank versus
two members of Dark State, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Sequon
Sugars and Cutler James. I'm assuming Lenox and Osiris Lennox,
(02:11:32):
I mean the kind of makes kind of that seems
like the way to go. Sequan I think is more
of the hype man. And Cutler, like I've said, is
you know, he's the guy making the suss comments, So
I'm gonna say Lenox and Griffin, and I'm gonna I'm
gonna say Dark State wins because they clearly want them
(02:11:53):
to get over, So I'm gonna say they win.
Speaker 5 (02:11:57):
J C.
Speaker 2 (02:11:58):
Jane versus Masha Slam a very sure is ash By
Elegance triple threat for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. I'm
gonna say j C wins, and then eventually Masha is
gonna beat her at Down for Glory. That seems like
(02:12:23):
kind of how things are gonna go Down for Glory
is in October, so I have a feeling that JC
and Trick are both going to drop their titles at
Down for Glory in my opinion, But uh, Ashby Elegance
being in this match, Eh, She's still Dana Brook and
she still sucks. Like I'm sorry, she still sucks. Jada
(02:12:47):
Parker versus Colonie Jordan versus Lolavice to determine the number
one contender for the NXC Women's Championship. So they are
they gonna face JC at on the on just a
regular episode an xt or polloween Havoc. I don't know,
but I guess lola Ice. Lola Ice kind of makes
(02:13:13):
sense because Lola is being used a lot more. I
mean she's been on the Triple A shows a lot more.
So I guess Lola Ice. Yeah, Lolla Ice. I'm gonna
go with Lola Ice. That makes more sense. Love Jada,
I don't know if she's ready yet. Klannie I think
is very talented, but Colonie needs something. She's a character change.
So I'm gonna go with Lola and Lola's I'm gonna
(02:13:34):
be surprised of Lola is the one that dethrones Jac.
We'll see mixed tact team match Chelsea Green and Eathan
Page versus Tira may Steele and Tavion Heights.
Speaker 4 (02:13:47):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:13:49):
I'm gonna go with the Heels. I think Tyra and
Tavian I don't think they I think this is just
gonna be a showcase of like can they hang with
the top people in the company. I'm interested to see
what Tyra does. I'll be honest, I haven't really seen
a lot of Tyra's work. I don't watch LFG a lot.
(02:14:11):
I probably should. I don't watch Level Up I probably should. Uh,
So I'm gonna go with Uh, I'm gonna go with
the Heels. I'm gonna say the Heels win this. Lastly,
yet Oba Fami versus Javon Evans singles match for the
NFC Championship. This is tough because I mean, Oba's Tyleraine
(02:14:38):
hasn't been that great because he hasn't really had any
great opponents. Not to say he hasn't had bad matches.
Speaker 3 (02:14:44):
But.
Speaker 2 (02:14:47):
At this point, what do you do? What do you
do with Oba? Like? If Oba beats Javon, then what
like then what who do you have him face? Who
do you still have them continue to face? So I'm
gonna say Javon. I'm gonna say Javon wins this, and
Oba is on his way out of NXT and he
(02:15:08):
shows up in the Rumble and that is Those are
