Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jack gambling here with my good friend Matt Sloan a
graph of ochemists.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Big summer here, Matt.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
That's right, Jack. We got the summer savings going on
right now at Graft Nissan and Graft Chevy of Okamists.
Great deals. We're offering zero percent financing and select vehicles
up to sixty months if you're a Casto member. We
got extra rebates for that. We're getting fresh inventory every day.
It's been a great summer. We got great deals for you.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Zero percent. Can't get much lower than that.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
That's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Topa feed, Matt. In the gang here on West Grand River, Omiz,
they're making breads.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
If I was just trying to figure out, okay, you know,
like let's calm down.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
You know, they're making this a really good game.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
They were making shots, and you know, we weren't doing
our job defensively a little bit of offensively. But in
the second half we kind of, you know, we grouped
up in here. We saw what we were doing wrong
on you know, on film, and we saw it and
we adjusted and I think that's when we had a
little bit of park. We have a habit in the
second half to come out stronger and you know, play
(00:59):
with more energy and play better.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
We just have to fix that to start the game
with that.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
We can't afford to get to these really slow starts
against teams like Arkansas, you know, you know whoever. We
just can't do that, and that's not the Michigan State way.
So going forward, that's gonna be our bigges improvement. Start
to start the game, playing good defense, rebounding and rudder.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
That was maybe a theme a little bit last season
as well. Starting out slow.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
How do you fix that? It's really just about focus
and getting ready to play. I mean, you just have to,
no matter what things are different like between you know,
the practices and the games, you know, in terms of
scouting and everything, you have to adjust. And the faster
you adjust and the more dialed in you are on
your coverages and what you're doing offensively, the better I think.
(01:47):
Sometimes you know, still being early, you know, we kind
of go in and we.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
You know, we're a little shocked or we're you know,
maybe not like one hundred percent dialed in. And that's
where we as a team got to get better.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Ever better in a game with the thirty seven six
difference and prey throw attempts and how did that happen?
Speaker 5 (02:05):
I don't I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I mean we've had some crazy Yeah, last last games,
we're a couple pretty crazy with the free throws and
everything like that.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
So but that just shows you that we got to
lock in on free throws.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
You know, we have some guys, including myself, you know,
not be able to make all our free throws. And
that's something we really emphasize on because I think, you know,
with the big physicality and ceiling and posting up, you know,
drawing fouls a little bit, with our guards getting to
the bucking drawn fouls, we have to.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Be better at free throw shooting.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
I think that's something that going forward is going to
be so important to our success. There is games last
year where we won games like straight on free throws,
and you know, there might be opportunities where we lose
games because we don't make enough free throws.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Twenty five eleven difference in rebounds in the second half.
Was that addressed heavily yet halftime?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I mean, it's it's addressed all the time, to be honest,
I mean it's all it's it's part of our motto,
you know, like play defense, rebound and run.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
You know, and it wasn't quite like that in the
first half.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Yeah, I mean, like I think with the last two games,
you know, us getting out rebounded by the other team,
it's been something that we've been you know, locked in
on making sure that doesn't happen again, because we only we.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
We win by out rebounding the other team.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Jordan had a serious just want to pass it in,
got back to him, got it in again.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Loved it.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Man. What does he give this team? I love it, man,
give us a spark.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
It gives us, like you know, it gives us the
motivation to do what he's doing, to be honest, like
you know, watching that from the from the bench and
sideline like I'm I'm jumping off the floor like excited,
because that creates a spark. And then when you when
you when he does that, someone else is going to
do it, someone else is going to do it, and
then before you know, we're gonna you know, out rebound
the other team by However, many.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
