I’m joined by Maddy Purves & Zoie Young, the brilliant creators behind the recent documentary film: “Same Sex Attracted,” which follows several LGBTQ+ students attending Brigham Young University (aka "The Lord's University"). We chat about the Honor Code - what it is, why it’s confusing AF, and how it perpetuates harm + paranoia among students. We discuss the motivation behind creating the film, why Zoie and Maddy call it their baby, and what they hope it accomplishes with audiences.

To say that Zoie and Maddy poured their hearts into this project is such an understatement and I know you’ll fall in love with both of them + the film after this episode (if you haven’t already)!

Listener discretion is advised due to adult language, potential religious trauma triggers, and discussion of a certain hemp-derived recreational/medicinal substance.
