(00:21):
Hi, yep, this is theFan Show and I'm your host as always,

(00:44):
the tea man Richard Teman. Thoseof you watching on YouTube, drink
it in. This is like avery rare thing happens, I think literally
once every twelve years. The lasttime that I was in Seahawks gear lost
to bet forty nine Ers versus Seahawks, and I not only had to wear
Seahawks gear, I had to getup before the entire bar that we were

(01:07):
watching the game at Sunday night FootballPrimetime pack plays and announced to everybody how
great the Seahawks were. So itwas one of the most painful moments of
my life. The man laughing hysterically, maniacally, like some evil villain in
a movie. James bond Flick isfather Malk, the man who still wears
those light up sneakers, you know, with the little blinking lights in the

(01:30):
heels, and don't forget and heally'sbut he won last week's pick him,
so he got to pick the punishment. And this is this jersey is snug.
It is my wife's a jersey. She picked out the hat. I
didn't do the face paint, allright, I owe you face paint at

(01:51):
some point, but I think thisget up is humiliation enough right now.
I got to go through however longwe record with this, but once again,
this, this is the award winningfan show Richard Demon Father Malk,
Malcolm McCoy, and man oh FatherMalk. I am in a mood.
It could be this. It couldbe me in Seahawks gear as a forty

(02:14):
nine Ers fan. It could bethat it was a great week of IFL
action, not only IFL we hadthe new UFL action as well, but
also it could have been that myday at work today kind of sucked,
you know, my day job ofgiving hipsters blowies and bathrooms or whatever.
Sorry, that'll never not be funnyto me, it just won't. But

(02:38):
anyway, or it could be somethingthat happened over the weekend, which we
will get to in a little bit, but just fore warn you all.
I'm in a mood. It islate on a Monday night. Easter was
yesterday. I had a great Easterdinner. Happy Easter to all of you,
Malcolm, Happy Easter to you aswell. So let's start out this
episode just like we did last week, with the good, the ad in

(03:00):
the funny, and we'll give itto you first, father, Malcolm.
Let's let's hear your good, badand funny from this last week. Yes,
sir, Yes, sir, howkind of me Rich, I appreciate
it. Man, I might haveadded that the green really brings out your
eyes. This is obnoxious lime green. Oh, Man, I think you

(03:21):
found with some new colors. Guys. Anyway to start off my good,
bad and funny, I had toogood. Actually, that's something we can
do. Yeah, let's do toogood. I hope I'm not deviating from
the rules to too heavily here. But my first one some i f L
action. Thomas Owens are the masspirates. Man made a great play,

(03:44):
great one handed catch in the backof the end zone. It made sports
in the top ten. It wasactually the number one play on Sports Center
this week. And I think that'sa that's a great look not only for
football in general, but just thei f L. Man, the i
f L have been, as weknow, it's had his struggles, you
know, uh, like some hiccupshere and there. But that's a great

(04:08):
way to put the i FL andindoor football as a whole on the mat.
Man. I couldn't I couldn't believemy ass watching that, and I
was, I was proud to bean indoor football player myself at that point.
He may have pushed off, butstill it was an amazing sport.
Wasn't it called the perfect angle onthat because it was hard to see like

(04:30):
anything outside of the catch itself. So, I mean, I hope he's
he's enjoying as much as I did. You know, but what's going on
here? Okay? I thought youwere covering up there this jersey. I
just wanted to make sure everybody seesgoing on here. This is still a
professional sports show, Okay, LikeI still can look semi professional. I'm

(04:51):
not covering everything up, but youcan. I gotta get in the right
mindset, my man, So Ilike it. I like, I like,
Oh she for the second one man. For my my collegiate lovers,
I would say. I was watchingthe the LSU versus Iowa women's basketball game

(05:13):
earlier today. It actually went offnot too long before the last IFL game
came on. And you know,LSU traditionally a great team. Iowa has
Caitlyn Clark. She's just been settingthe women's basketball world on fire. And

(05:35):
yeah, it was. It was. It was pretty crazy, great game,
Iowa ended up taking the own,but I couldn't help but find myself
wondering how many people were tuned inThat took a look and said that at
its height, twelve point six millionpeople were tuned into the game, which
actually broke the NCAA women's basketball record. So that's also some great news for

(05:58):
you know, women's basketball as awhole. Know, they've traditionally and habitually
been under viewed and underpaid and thingslike that. So you know, I
feel like that can bring some muchneeded recognition and publicity back to the sport
itself. So that was pretty cool. What's your take on that? But
what you you like it at all? What? No? I mean,

(06:20):
I think it's like you said,it's it's good, right. I mean,
it's one of your good things. You know, it's uh great for
them to have the most views andstuff and continue to claim that ladder like
it's yeah, why not go forget it? Really cool man, really
cool man? I like that aladder. I guess I'm just I was

(06:41):
just watching a lot of basketball thisweek because my bad also has some They
had some pertinents in the NBA.I wouldn't say it's necessarily like terrible news,
but for those like myself who grewup watching Lebron James and pretty much
he's the best basketball player of myera, pretty much of all time if

(07:02):
you ask certain people. He mentionedretirement. Didn't say it was like right
on the horizon, but he didmention that, and we all knew it
was coming. He's thirty nine yearsold, even playing for what twenty one
seasons, so I mean, atsome point, you can't, you can't.
You gotta hang it up, Youcan't play for average. But you
know, he mentioned that he doesn'thave too much longer to play in the

(07:26):
NBA, and I mean, Iguess it's more so like a congratulat congratulatory
thing, because he has been playingat a high level for for you know,
decades, and it's just it's justI know, we'd be sad to
see him go, but left behinda remarkable legacy. So that's my bad.

(07:46):
The funny Rudy also in basketball,Rudy Gobert of the Timberwolves. It's
funny to me because we had thisconversation off screener of times. But he
was fined, I want to say, about two weeks ago for making like
a money gesture at the rep, implying that their their calls are like influenced

(08:11):
by sports betting, and uh doubleddown on it too in the post game
conference, saying that, you know, he feels like a lot of the
calls and the gameplay in basketball nowadaysis just, uh strictly centered around sports
betting. And I feel like alot of a lot of the NBA players

(08:33):
sided with him on that too,And it's hard not to look at it
that way, especially just giving recentevents and recent calls and stuff like that.
And I'm just I'm pretty uh,you know, I don't want to
say excited. I just want I'mcurious to see how the NBA responds to
that and how you know, uh, professional sports as a whole moves forward

(08:56):
from there, because uh, wehave recognized it as a problem, and
you know, it could end upleading to the client and viewership. You
know, fair enough. Man,Well that's a couple of goods and then
a bad and then yeah, alittle bit of funny. So mine,
Okay, you went all basketball afteryou went like UFC and the NFL last

(09:20):
week, So my good is actuallyway off the charts. My good is
wrestling. Wwwe wrestling is so goodright now, Like I am locked in
hooked edge of my seat. Therock is back. It's heel Hollywood rock.
Oh it's got reeks of attitude eraesque. And now we got WrestleMania

(09:41):
this weekend. I mean that's that'sas good as a good can be this
time of year. I mean,oh, I am so stoked. Another
good was obviously Easter. Easter Weekend'salways a fun weekend. So that's my
good for you wrestling fans out there. I will be watching both nights of
Wrestleman at night one two. Butoh, Matt, it's it's so good

(10:03):
to feel like a little kid again. Oh I love it, absolutely love
it. My bad to the NFL. Oh Rice Man, Dude, that
is such a bad look Like,so look, I don't get it.
I'm not going to pretend like Ido. I'm a white boy from who

(10:26):
went through the public school system.I didn't come from money. I grew
up where it said on the directionsthat you had to write down, you
know, because we didn't have GPSor Google Maps. It said turn right
onto the dirt road. Okay,That's where I grew up. And no
matter what scene I was into Iwas in a band for a while and
we shared the scene, you know, and there was bands we didn't like,

(10:48):
but we didn't have like rival bandsor anything, and played sports and
whatever, and we had people thatwe we didn't like. But I just
there's so many incidents with guns andgroups of people and things like that,
and there's car crash, and Ijust I just don't think I'm ever going
to understand it. I mean, what when you saw that headline come through,
Like, what was your first thought? Man? See Rich, I

(11:11):
mean, it's I'm definitely with youon this, man. It's just my
initial reaction was just like, comeon, man, you know, it's
just at some point in time, you have to I feel like you have
to kind of and receive rights astill fairly young guy, but at some

(11:33):
point you have to grow out ofthat mindset and just just understand that as
on the pedestal where you are now, certain things you just can't. You
just can't move how you used tobefore you reach a specific level of fame,
you know, and because not onlyare it doesn't look bad on you
and your family, but it looksbad on the organization, looks bad on

(11:54):
the NFL, as a whole,you know, and it's it's it's just
it's a sad thing to see.Man, I hate I hate to see
it. I just I just wishthat gays would be a little more forward
thinking before they, you know, find themselves in situations like that, you
know exactly, so you know,we'll see what happens with it. He's

(12:16):
cooperating, I guess, according toa tweet from his attorney, But man,
it's it's this kind of off seasonstuff that really just I could go
without. I guess. It's along story. My funny though, my
funny. So onto something a littlebit lighter heartedness comes from the chat once
again of the IFL streams. Iknow, I know, I'm supposed to

(12:37):
hit that ex button and enjoy thegame, but sometimes I start to see
some interactions and I'm like, oh, okay, let's let's see what happens
during the Massachusetts Pirates game. Andthere's a person in there that covers the
league. Also, we call herAngie the Expert, because every time she's
in the chat, she acts likeshe's the expert, comes across condos ending

(13:00):
more often than not, and peoplewere letting her have it. You know.
She was getting trolled by a fewpeople and whatnot, but that wasn't
what was funny. In fact,I'll probably somehow, some way she'll see
or hear this, and I'll geta strongly worded email because it's happened before.
But we won't tell that story yet. So she makes the comment Mark
Stout shouldn't be allowed anywhere near anarena or indoor team. So naturally there

(13:26):
was a few people like why.Her reasoning was because he's a terrible football
coach that has had no success outsideof what she calls a fluke season with
the Cedar Rapids Titans. Okay, fair enough, he's a bad coach,
but Malcolm, you and me,we've been in some trenches. And I

(13:48):
think personally, a person that shouldn'tbe allowed anywhere near an arena or indoor
team would be a guy someone whotrafficked cocaine between teams in a league,
somebody who maybe has been kicked outor banned from more arenas than there are
teams in the league. Or maybea guy or an individual who spent more

(14:13):
time in jail than they did atthe team's games that they're associated with.
And I wish I was talking aboutdifferent people, but this is all the
same person. Yes, just thefact that this individual is still part of
that front office blows my mind. That's the kind of person that shouldn't be

(14:35):
allowed anywhere near in arena or indoorfootball team. So I'm not saying she's
naive. I just thought it wasa little funny because clearly people have experienced
things differently and this was one ofthose moments. So that's my good,
bad and funny. I knew thatyou would know instantly what I was talking
about, but oh, I justI saw that comment. I was like,

(14:58):
that's cute. It goes to showyou how to saying go no matter
how bad you think it is,it can always get worse, always always
get worse. Man. So so, so before we get to week three
recap, which was great ifl action, I think every over hit, which

(15:22):
is what a lot of people predictedwould happen after all the unders hit going
into week two, a lot ofone score games, a lot of photo
finishes. Last night tonight this againis Monday that we're recording this. But
before we do that, so it'sa new month, and I think what
we should do at the beginning ofeach month is something I call put it

(15:43):
to bed. You know, somethingthat maybe we talked about the month prior
felt like beating a dead horse, and now it's time to put it to
bed. So we won't put youon the spot for this yet, Malcolm,
I'll give you an example of whatI mean. So for this the
streams, I'm ready to read ita book, singing a lulla by,

(16:03):
give it a Benadryll, put itto bed like that's That's where I'm at
here. But first, before wedo, there was something, you know,
last week's episode. I got alot of messages and dms from people
that were like, man, youwere spot on with what you said about
this, and hey, dead on, Like you're one percent right. I
wish they would do that, blahblah blah blah blah. And then there

(16:23):
was some people that were like, hey, careful what you say. You
might get in trouble. And Ifeel like, before I put to bed
what I want to that there's alittle context that needs to be had in
order to fully understand, like whyI don't care, so a little story
time or you and Malcolm. That'sso I mentioned the first episode that my

(16:47):
first season or my second season coveringindoor football. I got approved for credentials
from every team in the league exceptSPOKEN because of some BS reason that I
wasn't even made aware of. Soit's like, I can't correct it.
I can't apologize for it. Ididn't even know it happened, and I'm
pretty sure that it didn't. They'vejust for some reason decided that they didn't
like me, so, you know, okay, whatever. Fast forward a

(17:11):
couple of years. I'm covering theIFL and the NL touring full speed,
going all over the place, Massachusetts, Carolina, all over and there was
a guy who worked in the NLfront office called Jeff Bowsheet, and he
wasn't very popular among the league. But I remember it was like nine or
ten o'clock at night and I getthree messages from different people saying he was

(17:33):
being relieved of his duties with theleague. For me, this is breaking
news, right, like, wow, Okay, if it's one source,
that's a rumor. Okay, Hey, I've been hearing that this might be
happening. Two sources though, Okay, we've got something. Third source.
Hey, I've got it, youknow, especially if they're all separate,

(17:55):
that's journalism one O one. SoI break the news. I get a
text probably an hour later if that, from their then commissioner Chris Siegfried,
who said, I'm very disappointed inyou for breaking that story. And I'm
like, okay, sorry, dad, like I replied, is it not
true? Then? And I nevergot a response. So it's like,

(18:18):
this is your chance to comment, set me straight, like if something's wrong,
fix it. But it happen. So then you fast forward to another
year where it starts to become thisthing that I have something against the Arizona
Rattlers, which I don't. Truthbe told, I've never had anything against
their players. Some of their fans, like all but two Gary and Teresa,

(18:40):
who were season ticket holders, I'vehad issues with. And I realized
that that might be the equivalent ofsomebody saying I don't have a problem with
you, I have a problem withyour wife or your husband. Well,
then you have a problem with me. I get it, I do.
But they're the only team fans I'veever been around that I've never felt very
welcomed with. So it's like,oh, okay, like we'll just we'll
tiptoe around this. But also therewere three years in a row where my

(19:04):
name would get brought up at teammeetings or league meetings. I mean,
and of course it's during the timewhere they're talking about media. Who's gonna
handle that my name gets brought up? So you see the posts online and
whatever. Hey having league meetings. So I would text some of my friends
that are there, Hey, howto go blah blah blah, what's new?
What can we expect? And they'relike, you know, hey,

(19:25):
your name got brought up again, but no luck. And then somebody says,
hey, like, what's the dealwith you and Kevin guy? What
do you mean? Like, Idon't there is no deal. He didn't
like you. This is news tome. Yeah, when your name got
brought up, it got shot rightback down. Okay. Now there's interactions
with people that we have where youcan look back and be like, you

(19:48):
know, I bet it was that, or maybe it was that maybe I
said this. I honestly never interactedwith the individual enough to be like,
I bet it's that, Like, this is news to me. Basically,
what I'm saying is that when peopletell me careful, you might get in
trouble for saying this or for doingthis. I already get in enough trouble
for stuff that I don't even tryand do like you know, so if

(20:14):
I'm going to get in trouble,it needs to be worth getting in trouble
over all. Right, So thereI've said it. There's your context.
What I'm putting to bed is myfeelings on the streams. But the people
that messaged me with you know, the hey, you were right one dead
on whatever also asked if I hadseen the IFL Weekly with the commissioner's comments.

(20:34):
No, I don't. I don'tusually watch the show. I'm sorry
I don't, but I was curiousnow, so I went back and he
starts off the episode and here's thecliff notes. I'm not going to play
the whole thing, but it saysfor us to be able to bring you
a free service, we're gonna havesome issues when we have issues on the
back end. It is a madscramble. We know that there's issues,

(20:57):
chaos behind the scenes. We valuea quality product and will continue to work
tirelessly to provide that to you forfree. And I'm like, say free
one more time. I wanted thehat trick, but I watched this and
I was instantly put off. Ijust really was. It reminded me of

(21:19):
the scene from The Rocker, whichis the Rain Wilson movie. The guy
that plays Dwight, his band opensfor another band, and the band they
open for it gets boot off thestage in this crowded arena. So they're
like, what do we do?We gotta go on, right? The
record rep says no, like, you can't upstage the headliner. It's bad
luck. Nobody wins, and they'relike, these people deserve to get their

(21:42):
money's worth. And he goes it'sa free show, dumb ass, like
the tickets were free, right, and it just that's what it reminded me
of. I almost would have preferredhim not say anything at all, because
this was, honestly, it feltlike a piss porn excuse. I mean,
am I wrong in that kind ofreaction? Not at all, Not

(22:03):
at all, if you guys me, and I mean, at this point,
I've pretty much accepted that you getin enough trouble, so I'm willing
to sink on that ship with youif I get trouble in so good.
But really, I mean, Ireally, I really feel like it's it's
yes, it is free, butat the same time, if you're gonna

(22:25):
if you're gonna as as the commissioner. You know you should, you should
certainly have a lot better control oversomething that, uh lead has been around
for sixteen years now. You know, I don't. I don't. I
don't really accept the oh, it'sfree, and you know we're gonna have
back end hiccups and all that stuff. I mean, we we we've been

(22:48):
past that. I can see ifit was like, you know, the
first and second or third even fourthyear of the league being around, But
at some point we got to getthe ball rolling. At some point,
we gotta have a consistent stream. You know. It's this is kind of
crazy to me, and I shareyour same sentiments exactly. So it just
put me off right watching this becauseMalcolm, you were there with me when

(23:10):
I worked as director of Media andMarketing for the CIF and the media specialists
for the Beef. I had likethree shows a week I had to put
together. Did you ever hear memake excuses for stuff? I mean,
there was a meeting that we hadwhere I explicitly said to the GMS and
coaches, I said, if we'regoing to do this, given my schedule,
I'm going to need this, thisand this from you. Was player

(23:30):
of the Week nominees and then thehighlights that you guys wanted considered for the
top plays. I got Player ofthe Week nominees from Jones, but that
didn't mean anything because I was alreadyat those games. I got a few
from IRV, from Sioux City,a couple from hern O'Neil, but nothing
from the rest of the league. So I had to go through and look
at the stats. You remember, there was a time where I had to
like hand tally your stats for thatweek, for sure, and I never

(23:55):
got a single highlight. So Ihad to go through three hour games and
screen grab on my phone and thenput them together and organize them and voice
them over. And I might havebitched and moaned throughout the entire process,
but I never made excuses for it, like, hey, this is gonna
be later, this is gonna below quality because my name is on it,
like my brand is attached to it, so it needs to be to

(24:18):
the standard that I know I candeliver. There was a time when the
league did charge to stream the games, and it was still shitty. So
it's like free or paid, itdoesn't matter. But we live in an
age now where things can be doneso easily. Like I used to pay
a lot just to podcast, andnow I can stream and do a video

(24:41):
on YouTube for next to nothing andit looks like a professional quality thing.
So, like I said, itjust felt like a piss porn excuse it's
whatever. I'm putting the streams tobed now, especially after san Diego streamed
tonight that thing that was like youwere watching an NFL game that was Chris
clean. The camera cuts were exactlywhere they needed to be, the cameras

(25:03):
were steady. I mean, everythingwent off without a hitch. That is
your mark. And unfortunately, justlike grading on a curve, you know,
if there's if nobody got one hundredpercent on the test and we're going
to grade you based on whoever gotthe highest, well, this is the
opposite of that. San Diego hasshown you what you are capable of,
and now every team that fails tomeet that, you know, there could

(25:26):
be criticism. But I'm done withit. I'm done with the stream talk.
I'm happy to move on put itto bed. I do find it
hilarious that in the comments there's peoplelike Zoe Productions who said that they work
hard to provide a free service andwe come on here and we bitch like
they owe something to us. Yes, they do. They absolutely owe it

(25:52):
to us, the fans that paythe ticket prices, that by the merch,
by the concessions. Yeah, theywant to see their teams when they're
away and not everybody can go toa watch party. I used to live
in a city that no longer hasa team, and I still follow the
league. People have seen teams comeand go so much that they will follow
players. They'll find new teams tocheer for, but they just it's become

(26:15):
routine to them. And the If L should be eternally grateful that there
are those people out there, becausewithout fans, you don't have a product.
And so for Zeo Productions, whoeverthey are, the league does not
need you to come to their rescueon subjects like this. They just don't.

(26:37):
I would love to know how muchand who paid this gat of comment
on there. I don't know,man, I feel like I can't help
but think he's a he's apatful.Okay, I'm planning to put in the
mandrinch because I still have quite abit to say about it. I won't
over here, but I will Iwill come to silence just for a record.

(27:03):
You got to take the criticism, and I hope you know the commissioner
can handle this kind of criticism becauseif you think this is bad, like
I guarantee you the ifl MLB,NBA, WNBA, I get that,
the commissioners of all leagues, shapesand sizes get harsh criticism and feedback like
it's not going to be just me. Okay, it's not going to be
all butterflies and rainbows. So puttingthe streams to bed Malcolm maybe not just

(27:27):
yet, he's hitting the snooze onit for right now, but there you
go. What a great week two. We did have some ufl action,
which I thought was fantastic because thatjust means more spring football. The final
scores for that, which we don'ttalk a whole lot about up because that's

(27:48):
a very oversaturated market right now.But the Stallions over the Renegade, so
champion versus champions. Stallions win thattwenty seven to fourteen. Then the BattleHawks
fall shot sixteen eighteen to the Panthersthat Jake Bates I think had like a
sixty four yard field goal. That'sridiculous. First one, he's Madsons high
School Defenders fall to the Brahmas twelveto twenty seven, and the Showboats out

(28:14):
of Memphis they get an early wineighteen to twelve over the Roughnecks. The
USFL Conference is two to zero overthe XFL Conference. Interesting tidbit. I
didn't I wasn't prepared for that.I thought maybe we'd be, you know,
kind of even here. But good, good for all of them,
though, this is good no matterwhat. I wish Seattle still had the
Dragons because that team and logo wasawesome. But it is what it is.

(28:36):
So to the meat of it,IFL Week number three, Friday,
we had two games, the Stormforty one, Pirates forty nine. So
Storm oz and two Pirates remain undefeated. Benefield, dude, guys a stud
fifteen of sixteen, one hundred andseventy three yards and five tds through the
air. But hey, hal tento sixteen, one hundred sixty six,

(29:00):
three passing tds, three rushing tds. So obviously we're starting to see offenses
jel a little more. But yeah, you mentioned that number one play.
So this was good quality football turnout. Maybe not the best, but I
think we're we're starting to get therenow, we're gonna maybe look toward the
defense, but yeah, Pirates stilllook like a team to beat. And

(29:21):
then the other one was the Gladiatorsforty the Fighters forty nine, and this
was the first defeat that Father Milktook in our pick them and Gladiators zero
and two Fighters remain undefeated. Killgo though, Man, he had almost
two hundred yards and five touchdowns, but he did have two I and t's,
where Edwards he only had fifty sevenyards through the air, two tds

(29:45):
through the air, but he didhave three touchdowns on the ground. So
more of that Lamar Jackson type playthat you guys were talking about your thoughts
Friday's game. Anything stand out toyou that we didn't mention there in the
quick recap. No, no,really, you hit it right on the
head man. The quarterback play isa pivotal in this league. Like you
said, the offense, this isreally an offense driven game, the indoor

(30:07):
game, So I mean you haveto have a great quarterback play man,
t J. Edwards, Man,I can't say enough about the Gay man.
I should have known better than betteragainst them, because Edwards definitely does
TJ. Edwards things. Man.I think the first the very first offensive
play from scrimmage, he had likea forty yard run, very close to

(30:33):
a touchdown. But I mean, the guys special. Man, He's just
he's just a guy who makes plays. He's a game changer and he shows
it whenever he gets the opportunity. But like you said, Kilgo didn't do
bad at all. Really, Ihad a chance to kind of chop it
up with a Duke City coach.I won't say who. I don't want
to get anybody in especially right well, we'll need any more trouble at this

(31:03):
point. But yeah, man,he told me that they're having quote unquote
quarterback issues, and you know,I see where he's coming from as far
as the turnovers. But I wouldsay, you know, give Kilgo a
shot man like this. Don't beso quick to give up on him,
because I mean I've seen a lotof great flashes of you know, some

(31:25):
good football. It's just you caneliminate the bad. He could be a
really good quarterback. So I meanthat's what That's what pretty much stood out
for me about Friday's game. Iliked it a lot. Yeah, I
think Duke City will get it right, I do. I don't think they're
going to be an easy win foranybody. In fact, looking at the
first three weeks, I don't thinkanybody's going to be an eight Z win
for anybody. In fact, we'lltalk about the game that's a perfect example

(31:48):
of that here at just a second. But Saturday Sugar Skulls their season debut.
We had Marshall on, We hada great time, but they came
up short. It was forty eightfifty four against Northern Arizona and man Jones.
Dude, he had over two hundredyards two hundred and twelve nineteen to
twenty seven though, but five tdsthrough the air. I thought Mitchell did
really well as quarterback for the SugarSkulls, kept his composure, fought through

(32:13):
to the end, one hundred andtwenty eight yards a single TD but ninety
eight on the ground and four Butmccorker another hat trick this time wasn't even
a single kick return for a touchdown. But he is, like he's that
dude, man like mccorker is astud man for sure. For sure.
That boy another guy who who I'msure they're super happy to have. Man.

(32:35):
I knew from week one he wasgonna make a lot of plays for
him because of the the two returnkicks, I believeue. But since then
he's just been taken off man.And so that brings us to Sunday doubleheader.
Easter not the best decision scheduling wisefor the ifl if you saw some
of the attendance in those games,it was not great. I think the

(32:57):
whole week in the Easter really shouldjust be a bye week for the entire
league. I mean it's hard toyou can argue that. If you looked
at the Monday night game in SanDiego, that crowd was excellent. I
said, the whole thing was excellentthere. But in Friday's games, those
were all right. But it's justthat Easter weekend. Man. You've got
a lot of players in a leaguelike this that are very family oriented and

(33:21):
very tight knit, and so Easteris a huge holiday for them. So
not only that, but your idealdemographic as far as season ticket holders are
people that are looking for something todo on a weekend in town, and
if they're already busy with Easter,it's not going to be an arena football
game, so thin you know. That's my little takeaway from watching the live

(33:42):
streams there, but we did havethe Sharks thirty three and the Nighthawks thirty
nine. This one you thought wasprobably over at halftime at one point.
I think it was thirty thirty onenineteen or something like that, thirty two
to nineteen. But then the Sharksrallied. I think they're starting to find
their IFL rhythm. They ultimately cameup short, so they're zero and two

(34:04):
and the Nighthawks two and oh,which is great for them, but you
know, I think the Sharks willfigure it out. It was it was
one of those games where I thinktheir coach in a postgame interview said,
there was a lot of mistakes thatwere made and you know this is the
time to clean them up because thisis basically your your preseason right here.

(34:24):
So Sharks, two road games, two losses. I think their first home
game will be a breath of freshair for them, especially how far they
traveled for this one. And thenthe Rattlers and this was the dagger for
my man father malk I said,I never bet against Billy back and then
you and Marshall were both like,I don't see Arizona dropping two in a

(34:46):
row, did we? Jinx Theseteams like, is this the year?
Is this the year that we startseeing a lot of stuff that we're used
to just not happen. And ifthat happened, it would be a beautiful
thing because I love that so much. Forty one forty seven Early Game of
the Year candidate easily sugar Shane Simpsonis like a mccorkor he is that dude.

(35:09):
I mean, the running games forsome of these teams have been amazing.
And Dakwan Neil, if you're gonnalose the championship MVP, I don't
know if there's a better replacement thana Dakwan Neil in the league short of
an Alejandro Benefield, you know,or somebody like TJ. Edwards, somebody
who you know is a staple ofthe league right now at that position because

(35:32):
he hasn't missed a beat. Therewas some growing pains early. You could
see chemistry just wasn't there. Butthey area, man, they get the
banner drop and they get the onein oh start after Arizona had you know,
two games already under their belt. But Dalton sneed'll be back. Lorenzo
looked all right, but they've gotsome stuff to figure out. And then

(35:52):
of course the Monday Night Week threefinale, the Gunslingers. Man, they
made this one heck of a game. They had the best debut of any
new team I think I've ever seen, even though it was a loss sixty
one sixty nine against San Diego. But they came to play like they really
came to play. I was reallyimpressed with this game. Yeah, yeah,

(36:15):
I agree. Man cashing over whatI think he had five rushing touchdowns,
a couple in the air, makingplays on his feet all night,
the defense doing that thing. Youknow. Just a bunch of guys in
the NAL regular or household names. You know, you got Zach Brown,

(36:37):
Just a bunch of guys over therewho I'm used to seeing in the NAO.
They came in there making their markon the IFL immediately. Man,
it's a great thing to see. It's hard to not see them doing good
in this league. Should I say? It was funny? Earlier in the
week, when I posted our picksfor the win loss situation, I had

(37:00):
a couple of guys who I knowpersonally, one of my guys Gunslingers,
R J Rowntree. He told me, he said, don't doubt us,
man, you got some dogs overhere, and he had me sweating for
a minute because I know, Iknow if they did win, how it
looked like they were for a longtime. You know, he will be

(37:22):
blowing up my phone. He wouldn'tlet me hear the end of it.
Well. And this is one ofthe games where I believe now we shift
our focus to Okay, what arethe defenses doing? You know, I
think three weeks is enough to starthitting your offensive stride, especially with practices
in between there, because if SanDiego would have lost this game, I
would have looked at this and beenlike, if you're Nate Davis and you

(37:45):
throw eight touchdowns, like, whatelse could you have done? Like,
in all honesty, like what elsecould there have been for you to do
other than just keep slinging it?I mean, it was one of the
best quarterback performances I've ever seen. And if you still with a loss,
like that's some Philip Rivers shit. You know, you throw it for like
five hundred and forty yards and stilllose, you tell your ground game pretty

(38:07):
much the hell with it? ButI mean, wow, Like, so
as a defensive guy, I mean, where does your mind go now after?
Like, whether you're on a winningteam or a losing team. Clearly,
this is a game where there's gonnabe a lot of points. So
how do you keep your focus andwhat are you focused on? Man,

(38:29):
that's a great question, just amillion dollar question. Actually, I was
thinking to myself too. At onepoint in the game. I was like,
man, come on, like,at some point one of these defenses
have to step up. Because ofthat, it's gonna be freaking one hundred
to one hundred is just gonna goadlike they're gonna sploid through the route.
But I would say, ultimately, like you said, the offenses have hit

(38:53):
dere strad the difference maker. Andyou've heard it before, defense wins championship
in a game like this. Itcomes down to a difference between maybe one
or two possessions. If as adefense, if you can pretty much because
you're it's hard to say you're gonnacompletely shut out an offense in the indoor

(39:15):
game. I haven't seen it happen. I challenge anybody to show me a
shutout in the indoor game. Butthat can't be your focus. You'll overwhelm,
overwhelm yourself trying to, you know, complete at task like that.
I would simply say, if youcan, if you can focus on getting

(39:37):
maybe one, one or two stopsa quarter, then your team willill fare
pretty well, you know, becauseyou're the offense is gonna score non stop
ideally, and if as a defense, if you can take some of the
pressure off of them by just gettingto stop and off setting the score and
margin a little bit, and that'sall you have to do. You don't

(39:59):
have to be world you don't haveto be you know, as a linebacker,
you don't have to be Luke Keighley. You don't have to want to
back end, be a Derel Rebisor anything like that. Just simply play
a game, do your job, beat the man in front of you,
and just get one or two stopsper quarter and then you'll you'll you'll be

(40:20):
on top. And I feel badbecause there have been some amazing defensive plays,
like the end of the Bay AreaArizona game was a sack on Lorenzo
Brown. You know, they hada chance for the heave to win it.
And it doesn't matter if there's tenor two seconds left, if there's
a single score to be had, like your team is still in the game.
It's crazy. It's one of thebest things about arena and indoor football.

(40:43):
So there have been some phenomenal defensiveplays. I'm not trying to take
anything away from them. We justknew going into this week that if you
bet the unders last week, thatthis was going to be the week that
all the overs started to hit.And we saw that. And it's just
because the offense are starting to hittheir stride and now it's going to be
the defense's turn coordinators and players aliketo start to figure out, Okay,

(41:07):
how do we stop these guys?Because every game that we talked about has
playmakers. I mean, Cox wasI think a rookie for San Diego.
He caught three touchdowns tonight from NateDavis. I mean, you just don't
know where guys are going to comefrom or who's going to be the guy
that game, that week, thatmonth, And that's that's one of the

(41:28):
things that you have to plan andprep for as a defense. But points
are going to be scored and youjust kind of have to, you know,
settle down, take a deep breath, and as Malcolm would say,
yellow yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, get ready,
man, because here it comes. So great Week three action. I

(41:49):
am very excited for Week four,we will go over our picks, so
we will be right back with moreof the Fans Show and our Week four
predictions right after this. All right, folks, we are back and now
it is time to get ready todo our picks for week four of Indoor
Football League action. But first we'regonna welcome our guest for this portion of

(42:12):
the show, a man who representsSquad City. So Wheeler Nations stand up
and recognize one of my favorite DB'sin the league. It is my league,
duncan dunk. How you doing, man, I'm blessed. Every day
feels the same, so I don'tknow today, Monday or Tuesday. I
know how that can be. Man. Well, hey, it's good to

(42:34):
see. Uh. I'm glad thatyou were able to join us on such
short notice. But you know,it's Quad City. I've only been there
once. I've seen your guys' gamesin person a couple of times, though,
I gotta say, I don't thinkthat there's been a team in the
league that I've ever gone to andjust felt instantly at home and so welcome,
and the crowd is electric. Imean, how many leagues? How

(42:58):
many years have you been in theleague? Now, my first year was
actually twenty nineteen. I played thelast seven games in Quad City. I
was with the Stills in twenty eighteen. Then twenty nineteen I decided to go
to Philly Soul Arena One got released, and then Coach Ross decided to take
a chance on me once I sentthem the film from Philly South. So
yeah, since twenty nineteen. Wow, awesome, man, So been in

(43:21):
it for a minute. You tellme then, firsthand, like, what
is it that makes Quad Cities sospecial? Because now in the sixteenth year
of the league, you've got teamsin big markets, you know, Massachusetts,
Jacksonville, Florida, two in California, in the Bay Area, in
San Diego, you got Frisco,Texas, Vegas two in Arizona. But

(43:43):
obviously the Green Bays, the Iowa'sand the Quad Cities. There's staples of
this league and they're still special. They're still going strong. So from your
perspective, what makes Quad City special? Stars? From you know of top
Coach Ross Destiny, it is ayou know, they do a great job.
Uh Destiny she does a lot.A lot of people don't understand.
You know, she she wears hatsfor everything to make sure the game day

(44:07):
O right. She has great uhstaff under her, you know, next
tour, I'll say not even underbecause she don't put nobody above her,
so that is just below her.I'm sorry, but you know that starts
right there. And then coach Ross, he tries to run everything exactly how
it was ran for him back inthe day, you know, when he
played in the league and stuff likethat. Obviously it's a different situation because

(44:30):
you know, indoor football league doesn'thave those things that the NFL do have,
but he does, you know, try to make it as close to
it as possible. He's just ahe's a family guy. He's a loyal
guy. He's one of them coacheswho believe in you know, the same
group I go in finishing camp isthe same group I'm trying to finish with.
We will make a few changes becausethat's part of football. But he's

(44:51):
real big on chemistry. That's whyI'm so loyal to him and gonna rock
with him until I can't rock until. That's awesome, man. All Right.
So we got good coaching staff, good front office top to bottom,
which hey, in the world ofindoor football front office coaching staff, it
goes a long way. Like notall ownership groups or front offices are created

(45:12):
equals. So I know, Destinyand the rest of the crew, like
you said, they do a fantasticjob. What about just the atmosphere on
game day and your guys is fanbase? I mean they love you guys
there. And how much of adifference does that make when it comes to
the offseason and if you have tomake that hard choice of like where you
want to play next if it's uncertain, and how much you want to go
back to where you just were ifit's a quad city. Well, I

(45:36):
mean it's different, man. Youknow, I got the chance to this
is the first team they ever takea chance on. And now you know
my like I said, my loyaltyis gonna be with coach Ross. But
just from the guys from the outsidein and right, you know, you
don't really know too much about indoorfootball. Let's say that type of guy,
you're not gonna pick Iowa or Illinoisto go. I mean, let's
just all honestly. You know, you get these Friscos, you got to

(45:57):
Jacksonville, you got these big cities. You know, people want to live
in nice areas now I'm not sayingthis is not a nice area. I'm
just saying, you want to bein a bigger city. You want to
have a chance to do different things. You got to think that a lot
of these guys are in their midtwenties, low twenties or high twenties,
and some guys some are thirty. You know what I'm saying that small percentage,
probably five percent. But you know, from our time coming back after

(46:20):
being you know, from coronavirus,we went to the playoffs, we went
to the National Championship. You know, you can't that's two years after being
off taken off after twenty twenty onebeing you know, dormant. Twenty twenty
two, we go to the NationalChampionship being the underdogs and in twenty twenty
three fail short and we lost firstround. So you know, as an
offensive guy, I want to getthe ball. I'm looking at Okay,
Coach Ross do a lot of greatthings. And coach Ross, you know,

(46:44):
his offense is great, and Ilike the way, you know,
coach Dixie Will his offense as well. They have pretty much similar offenses just
by you know, how how theycan score. And coach Chen as well.
It's in Vegas. Those three guysare great offensive coordinators, like and
I'm not taking them not from anybodyelse, but when you talk about offenses,
them three guys know how to putup points for sure. So as

(47:06):
an offensive guy, there are threeplaces for sure. If I'm looking at
it like, I definitely want toplay for them three coaches. Okay,
okay, well that makes a lotof sense. And we will talk about
your guys' offense here in the second, but I'll go ahead and hand it
off to my cohort here, Fathermalk anything from your end as a player
for Dunk here as far as questionsabout Quad Sea Live for just this season

(47:27):
so far for sure, Man,for sure, Dunk, I just want
to say, for one, manis and I think I speak for Rich
too when I say it's cool havingyou on here. Man, appreciate the
second to you know, kind ofput the face with the jersey number and
everything. But now that I knowwho you are, I remember your play.
Man. I've seen you play.I think I played against you a
couple of times. Man, You'rereally really doing it a high level there,

(47:50):
Man, Thank you, thank youbro. And uh also I wanted
to say I almost ended up inQuad City too. Man. Yeah,
I talked to I don't know ifcoach Nigel Steasons. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, he hit meup. I want to say, I
want to say this is like beforethe twenty twenty two season started. I

(48:12):
ended up going to Duke City instead, but he hit me up, uh,
you know, like saying we hada little we had a little conversation,
you know. I was. Iwant to say, I was dis
close to going up there, man, I was. I was just man,
man, man, hats off theoffice. Sure, man, y'all
yeah from the coaching staff, likeyou said, from top to bottom.
Man, y'all y'all definitely looking good. Thank you man, thank you.

(48:35):
Yeah. I was like a salesmanfor you guys Green Bay and IOWA for
a period of time, even whenI wasn't covering the league anymore, because
I remember having conversations with malk hereand and I said, you know,
uh, what are you chasing atthis point? Like are you chasing another
ring? Are you chasing film experience? Like like what what do you want
out of a team? And wetalked and because all you know, I

(48:57):
used to say to the guys backin like twenty twenty twenty one, and
if you're chasing a ring, okay, you can go join up with with
arizonas who falls, you know, and and be on a roster that maybe
wins a championship, have a youknow, play a couple of downs or
whatever, depending on your talent level, of course. But I said,
if you want film, if youwant an experience, if you want to
go to a place where the fanswill love you and treat you like family,

(49:19):
I mean that's Quad Green Bay inIowa. Like every time, hands
down, and so I said, you were that kind of guy in Omaha.
I feel like you're your perfect fitis going to be, you know,
a Quad City or a Green Bay, because that's that's where you could
be you and the fans would loveit. So you know, there's there's
guys I have conversations with like thatand I try to pick their brain.
But now I can say, ifyou're chasing a ring, hey, Quad

(49:42):
City, man, I mean they'regonna be in the mix. Now.
I told I told people in twentytwenty two my exact prediction me my brother,
My brother is the other safety,Darian Jackson, and we was telling
people. We was like it's gonnabe Quad City versus North Arizona. This
is the we lost to h firstgo the last time, third time?
Uh for the second time. Itwas one when we played them at they

(50:05):
house. We were all read.I don't remember what time it was.
I think it was the second time, but I said, I said,
it's gonna be US versus NAS inthe National Championship. I watched NAS play.
I said, it's gonna be USversus NAS in Vegas the first time
ever in Vegas. Two teams Boomboom. Watch what I tell you.
We end up going to Vegas.Unfortunately failed short, but it's still you
know, it's still happened. Ohyeah, it's still there. I said.
I think on the first episode,I told Malk, I said,

(50:27):
there's a hump that they're trying toget over. And I think that starts
with a Week one win over SuitFalls and sure enough, you guys got
it. So that'll be a nicesegue into our Week four predictions. But
first, uh dunk, just aquick comment. You know, obviously Quad
City is so well known for itsoffensive firepower. You guys still have it
there with you know, Rudd andthen the addition of Harrington. The last

(50:49):
couple of seasons. But you guys, losing e J. Hilliard, you
now have a Judd Ericson and we'veseen a sample of his work. You
guys come out with the win.I made some plays with his legs,
you know, and it's gonna takea little bit to develop some chemistry with
Rudd. I mean with with EAJand Rudd, it was like automatic.
I mean they can basically just youknow, they didn't even have to look
at each other. Yeah, itwas a mental thing, right, cerebral.

(51:14):
So what what do you like aboutEricson as far as early in the
season and then going into uh,you know, unfinished business really? Yeah,
for sure. I mean you know, first off, you get you
get your flowers to EJ. Definitely, you know, for what he done
for the organization, absolutely taking usto the championship, you know, the
wins and everything like that. Soyou gotta always give him his flowers,

(51:35):
you know what I'm saying. ForJudd, definitely giving him a flowers as
well, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you know, he came
out his first game as a steamwheler. We got the job done.
You know about Judd, he's justhe's he's a great leader. You know,
he's one of those quarterbacks because Imean, you don't see him like
I see him. So he's oneof the quarterbacks who gets in that huddle
you know, boo boom, hetakes into control of it. And I

(51:58):
love that, you know what I'msaying, Like just to have to you
know, you have to feel bigroles, like you have to feel a
big spot, you know, losAn ej And then you know, so
we came in there and he comein there and he's doing good. We
got the job done. We won. It might have not been his greatest
performance, he felt, but Ifeel like he did pretty dang good,
you know, in his first gamein Doord. But I feel like y'all

(52:19):
haven't even seen the best him yetuntil about week or week five. We
got it on Saturday night, soI know they'll be ready. You know
the boy week body's got right. So it's gonna be a good one,
all right. Vote confidence from ElikDuncan. So enough talk about that.
Time for picks, So we're gonnaask Dunk for his thoughts, not his
official picks, but just his thoughtson the game, what he likes about

(52:42):
both teams, and then maybe aplayer or an aspect of the game,
special teams defense to watch that couldbe the difference maker. And the first
one on this Super Saturday Week four. That's right, all the games Saturday.
There's also WrestleMania that one happens,so pick your poison, but we
got Super SI Saturday. First oneon the schedule on the website is a
battle of the best cowboy logo inthe league between the Northern Arizona Wranglers and

(53:09):
the San Anti Gunslingers. Uh.Northern Arizona one in one tough loss at
home to Arizona, but then obviouslythey get one back with the road win
or a home win with Tucson. But now they're gonna be on the road
for the first time against a teamthat despite what we saw from Jacksonville's debut
in their first couple of weeks, this team looked like they had been around

(53:31):
a league like the IFL for awhile. They came to play and that's
the gun Slinger. So dunk, what do you like about these two teams?
What's gonna be the difference maker inthis one? Well, look,
nas, you got less coach lessMoss, great coach. He gonna have
his guys ready, I see youknow, watching as they got a special

(53:52):
returner number seven. I don't know, I need. Yeah, he's he's
dangerous. I would kick the ballto him, but he's dangerous. San
Antonio the quarterback, he's phenomenal, man. I love his game. They
got a good friend of mine thatactually was my roommate and we actually went

(54:13):
to camp together back in twenty nineteen. DJ Myers, great receiver. He's
getting adjusted to the IFL game.He won Iron Man of the Year and
the NALS is definitely a different gamefor him. But once he can get
it, oh, he's still gonnamake his plays. But once he can
figure out the IFL way, Ohyou go. Hear his name a lot
this year. Watch what I tellyou so? Yeah, as I told

(54:34):
Malk when we did our week threerecap, it looks like we've seen a
lot of the offenses start to comein de stride, especially the ones that
have already played. There was onlythree left that hadn't played any action before,
but even they looked really impressive, and San Antonio was one of them.
So now our focus is can turnto the defense. How do you
stop some of these high powered offenses, especially the ones that are really starting
to get it figured out. Andso that'll be I think the storyline for

(54:55):
Week four and probably Week five, maybe through the mid part of the season.
But malk who you taking in thisone? Man? Well? First
off, two things that Dounk saidfor sure that I agree with. Man,
It's definitely gonna be a high scoringgame. No matter who wins the
shootout, it's going to be agood one. But uh, you know,
I love I mean over there inAlbany as well. Last year I

(55:20):
played with Sam Castro over the quarterbackof San Antonio, and he's a special
guy, man that that dude canplay, and I think he's gonna be
the ultimate decidiable game changer in thatgame. So, not to take anything
away from Maz, but I certainlythink San Antonio is gonna come out on
top. Yeah, this was atough one for me. I think san

(55:40):
Antonio, though kind of has theedge. They're gonna be at home and
even though in a loss, they'recoming in with a lot of momentum and
confidence, which is not something thatyou can say for the Sharks right now,
because they went toe to toe youknow, in San Diego with the
strike for and almost got away withthe win despite Nate Davis throwing eight touchdowns,

(56:04):
which at that point, I mean, what else are you supposed to
do on the offense. So Ilike San Antonio's grit early on. I
like the confidence that they probably haveNorthern zero. Northern Arizona obviously has some
confidence themselves. They're coming off ofa win against Tucson. But I'm gonna
give the edge to the home team. I think we can all agree players
to watch, as malk said,is going to be the quarterback for San

(56:28):
Antonio and then I think mccorker forNorthern Arizona. Those are going to be
the two guys. So that bringsus to the next game. Raigning champions
Bay Area Panthers go coast to coastagainst the team that just went coast to
almost coast, and that's the JacksonvilleSharks. Zero and two. Man,
this one, it feels like it'spretty heavy on one side of the meter

(56:52):
as opposed to the other, butanything can happen. This is Jackson's first
home game all season. Two roadgames is tough in a new league with
new rules and all that, andyou know, they've really stayed in each
one and I applaud them for that. I really do so, Dunk,
you're what do you like about eachteam even though obviously Jacksonville is new and

(57:13):
of course bay Area is reigning champion, And what's gonna be the difference maker
in this one? I seen justtalk about Jacksonville, you know, just
coming into a new lead. It'sit's always gonna be tough. But they're
fighting, you know what I'm saying. They're not giving up. As you've
seen the last game of Vegas, they were down, you know, for
a good minute, and they keptfighting. They almost came back and won.

(57:36):
So one thing you can say aboutJacksonville they ain't gonna stop fighting,
and they only gonna get better asthe week's gone, because eventually it's gonna
click. So when they do click, you know, they can be very
dangerous, you know, So itjust depends on the time when it does
click. Area had to watching them. I mean it's it's they got they
got some talent. Man that Iwant to say, they probably better than

(58:00):
last year, you know what I'msaying, Like that's how good they looked
for sure. Yeah, and youknow it's gonna be a learning experience for
both San Antonio and Jacksonville. Ithink that the one thing people may not
give enough credit or attention to isthe fact that bay Area, even though
they were at home Banner Drop Night, there was a lot of pressure on

(58:21):
that game. They went up againstthe team that had already played twice in
a season where that is your preseason, the first three weeks is basically your
preseason, and they came out witha W. That is some grit man.
That is great coaching, that isknowing your assignments, that's clock management,
that is everything you expect from achampionship team. So I think it's

(58:42):
gonna continue to be the initiation periodfor Jacksonville. I do think zero to
three, though, is going tobe the worst that we see the Sharks
in their IFL tenure. I reallydo. So I'm gonna go with bay
Area. Malk who you like,Yeah, I gotta agree with you on
this one. Rich, I'm definitelytaking Area. And that's one central theme

(59:02):
that I hear from everybody who actuallywatches the IFL closely is that Jacks is
they're still trying to find it.They're still trying to click. Really,
I feel for them, and youknow that's that's that's just part of entering
the new league. But it's notmuch to be said about a team who's
still trying to find it versus ateam who's founded and is you know,

(59:25):
running with it already. Uh,Like you guys said, man, it's
just a lot of talent over there. You got Dae Kwon, Neil J.
T. Stokes, Yer Williams.Man on the defensive side, you
got k you got Bowers. Yougot a bunch of a bunch of guys
who know the game of football anda bunch of coaches who know the game
of football. And that's a dangerouscombination. Man. All right, So

(59:47):
we both like bay Area in thatone. That brings us to the matchup
between two of Malcolm's former teams, the O en one two Song Sugar Skulls
will visit the O and two DukeCity Gladiators are for somebody's got to win
of the season, dunk. Youknow both of these teams fairly well,
So what do you like about eachone? And what's gonna be the difference

(01:00:08):
maker here? Luke City just gottajust gotta find a way to you know,
move the ball more effectively score Youknow what I'm saying? And uh
the defense played good. I likehow they played Frisco. Man, they
you know they they gave Frisco arun for their money. We all know
Frisco always gonna be good. They'regonna have great talent, great coaching.
So you got to bring your money. You know, you gotta put your

(01:00:29):
money with your mouth as we playFrisco. And that's anybody in this league.
But you know, Duke City justgotta I just said they got players
one and just less than mistakes. Then you got Tucson Quarterback League Mitched.
Y'all don't know him yet. Hefrom my city, Cleveland, Ohio.
Uh boy, so he's he's dangerous. He played a good game last week,
left impressed. I was impressed withgames. So he won two national

(01:00:52):
championships at Farrys State. He's ahe's a he's a guy that you'll go
herebody once he can get it rolling. How he knows. I mean,
he's gonna always compete. That's justbecause he is. But when he figured
it all out completely, it's overcoach Billy, you know how he is.
He's he he wants some things. But but then you got kaiser Man,

(01:01:13):
another Cleveland guy on that defense, and he's gonna run some things that's
gonna Chinese Duke City at times andhad them thinking. And if you can
have them thinking along with blitzing andthings like that, you're gonna get some
turnovers. That that that's what helooked for for He won't turnovers and he
can get turnovers if he can havethem, you know, start thinking,
Yeah, I think this will bea true test for both teams. Really.

(01:01:36):
I mean, I was a littlesurprised to see Tucson not get the
win. I'm not taking anything fromfrom nas, but I think you know,
when it's a Billy back team hisseason debut, we expect to win,
you know, for his his crew, because of his tenure in the
league and what he's been able todo with every team that he's ever coached
for. But you know, nowthey get a chance to go on the
road again and and get things right. But also, you know, Duke

(01:01:59):
City good test for them, arethey are they good, they're just unlucky
or do they have you know,a long season ahead of them. As
far as they they're gonna make justa few more mistakes than maybe the other
team does. So Malk which teamof yours that you played for. Do
you like more? When you putit like that, it's kind of difficult

(01:02:20):
to see. I think. Ithink you hit it right on the head
with the Duke City. They're good, they've just been unlucky. Really,
I think I think Duke City isgonna, you know, go ahead and
take this one home. I thinkthey they they've had their field of losing
so far and they're ready to youknow, get a get a dub in
that wing. Colin. All right, so this is where we disagree for

(01:02:44):
the first time. I like Tucsonagain. I don't bet against Billy back.
I really think that, uh,you know, we had Marshall on
last week, and who knows what'sgonna happen. I think this will be
a really good game. I do. But so I will take Tucson.
Malcolm likes once again Duke City.So we'll see how that one plays out.
That brings us to our next one. And oh, look at that.

(01:03:06):
It is a candidate for Game ofthe Week. When the Green Bay
Blizzard storm into Quad City to takeon those steam wheelers. We've already heard
plenty about the steam wheelers, SoDONK, why don't you just tell us,
you know, as an opponent,as a guy who loves competition,
as a guy who respects the opponent. What do you like that Green Bay
does this year? Coach Coach Corey, he does some. Coach Roberson,

(01:03:30):
he does some great things on defense. He mixed in a lot of different
things up. I'll see when Iwatch him. He's just they making plays.
Man. They played Massachusetts great. You know, they play Iowa great.
So it's definitely gonna be a greatgame. The offense, coach Matt
I played against him accident. Hewas at Tucson. He knocked us out.
He beat us for our chance togo to the playoffs. He played

(01:03:52):
a great game. But he's beendoing a great job on offense. He's
allowed his quarterback to you know,be comfortable and things like that. So
he throws some great things at youand and he makes it. You know,
he puts them in great situations. Can't get mad at that, you
know, No, he can't getmad at that at all. And I
think their quarterback, Max Miler,I think he's their guy. He's a

(01:04:13):
dude. Good for them. Youknow they're gonna come off a win off
a by and go into enemy territory. But you guys all love it.
I love both of these teams.Like I hate this pick, I really
do. Like Malthol knows how muchI hate trying to pick this game.
But I think for the sake ofwho our guest is and what's over my
shoulder right here, Man, I'mgonna just tell you anybody that's watching this,

(01:04:36):
man, he plays Green Bay,go ahead, number thirty four,
Derry Jackson. Please, that's mylittle brother. He picks. He won't
the smoke and go get it?You throw still though, Still, I'm
the one that has a page that'sgot comment sections, Okay, and I
don't need that. That's a differentkind of smoke that you guys aren't used

(01:04:58):
to. So I'm gonna go QuadCity. Okay, I'm gonna play this
one, Malcolm. What about yousee? Man? This is that that
pivotal point in the show? Man, Well, you know we were,
we were in a different setting.Y'all probably beat me up man below,
I got it, I got it. No disrespect to you, man,

(01:05:18):
But I'm a man. I'm arealist. Man. I think I think
I think Green Bay they may theyjust may have a leg up on y'all.
You know, hey, that's thinkabout it. We gotta see Saturday
night, man, So for sure, I'm cool and tell him to run
my way and throw my way toman. I think I think you're gonna

(01:05:40):
see a lot of it too, man. I mean, like Rich said
Max miling. Man, he he'sjust getting better week back week. You
know. I think they got youguys this week, so we'll see.
For sure, I'll definitely be tuned. The man dropped the linkol in the
comments to make sure. Yeah, save your receipts from Malcolm. All right,

(01:06:04):
so please make sure you mention thison the page and everything. I
like it, man, I likeit. Like I said, I think
Game of the Week candidate, it'llprobably come down to the wire. My
player to watch is gonna be Harrington. I think, just like with Nasen
mccorker, this is a guy who, whether it's special teams or offense,
if he finds if he finds away, man, he's that dude.

(01:06:28):
Man, you guys got lucky withthat pickup. Man. I couldn't believe
it. That was crazy. Also, I love your guys's red helmets.
I really do. Those are sharp. I wish the smoke stack smoke was
white though, to make it popa little bit. It's my one criticism.
But the red helmets look good. They look about the new jersey.
Do you like the new jerseys?I do? I do? I think
the jersey You guys have always hadgreat jerseys though, like top three in

(01:06:48):
the league every time, like traditionaltype. Yes, yes, very true.
Love it all right. So ourSaturday Week four Grand Finale is the
Iowa Barnstormers, oh and one, only one taste the action all season,
but also against the one Tulsa Oilers, who really they should have had that

(01:07:10):
win against Frisco. We can alladmit it, but hopefully they know how
many timeouts they got in the bankat the end of this one. But
you know, uh, this isa team on the road that you you
guys know very well in Quad Cityin Iowa and then a team that was
new last year that really started toturn around at the end of the season.
So dunk, what do you likefrom both? And what's the difference

(01:07:31):
maker here Iowa? You know whothey quarterback is? You know dj DJP
does a great job. Man.You know he towards Aco last year,
but when I watched him last weekagainst Green Bay, he's still running good.
You know, looking fast, stilllooking fishing. He kept them in
the game. And he's their leader, he's their guy. So for them,

(01:07:53):
you know, for Tusa, youhave to stop him. You find
a way, you know, tomake things happen and stop him Tusa.
Those Marmon Jones, he go hisdefense always gonna be great. That offense
is good too. Man. Theygot Trey Harvey over there. He was
a former teammate of mons Ma Moorees. They got some guys, man,
they got some guys over there. All right, So Malcolm, remember you,

(01:08:14):
we know guys on this Tulsa team, and you still didn't pick them.
This is a chance for you toredeem yourself despite the fact that it
was a win for you. Yougot to pick right and that's why you're
wearing this ridiculous garb right now.But here it is, okay, oilers,
Coach Jones, the guys they're athome against Iowa. Who you taking.

(01:08:35):
Man, Let me just start offby saying, my guys were in
Tosa. Man, much love fordefinitely sorry for picking against y'all. Bro
y'all know I got love for you. So to make amends for that,
I'm still gonna pick against y'all.Man, Look, I've got like you

(01:09:00):
said, dj P Man, that'sa that's a special special dude. Man.
For sure. I don't think thedefense is gonna let them move the
ball necessarily. But at the sametime, I don't think there's a lot
they can do to stop them.So I mean, especially like with the
weapons they have over there. SoI think that's gonna be it. Man,

(01:09:21):
Iowa all the way, Okay,I ain't never heard that one.
Iowa all the way. And andonce again, I'm going to show where
my allegiances lie in this league, even though I do love the Iowa Barnstormers
family. But hey, I Iwas on a team with guys who are

(01:09:45):
now on Tulsa. Coach Jones wasthere, you know, Hawkins and Montaro.
We did that stuff, uh inthat championship year. So I am
gonna go with the Oilers at hometheir home opener to get it right this
time. So me and Malc weare different on three games. So nice

(01:10:05):
a nice little back and forth there. Once again, we'll see it's all
gonna be come down to Saturday. This last week. I was sitting pretty
after that Sunday night Bay Area win. So but I have done my punishment
for last week's pick the punishment, and now I get to pick Malcolm's punishment.

(01:10:27):
And I just want to preface withthis that you know, we're in
episode three of being Back. We'regoing in the week four like it's only
going to get worse. And whenI was going over my ideas with my
wife, I told her, Isaid, should I have him like log
on to Madden and play as theCowboys and just lose all day to anybody
that wants to challenge him. Ihave him put his dreads in pigtails and

(01:10:50):
lip sync to hit Me Baby onemore time and post it on instad.
She's like, Okay, let mestop you right there. That's deep end
of the pool. We are goingto just tiptoe into this because you're wearing
you know, Rival Team gear,so you need to you know, tip
for tat here and then as youguys go, I said, okay,
okay, Farris Fair, Farris Fair. So she she definitely came in and

(01:11:14):
saved you on that one, becauseI had some really good ones and I'm
going to keep coming up with reallygood ones. So here it is.
You had me dressed in Rival Teamapparel for the entirety of this episode,
and for people that don't realize thisepisode has gone on longer than it was
supposed to. But neither here northere. So what we're gonna have you
do then is wait when this episodecomes out on Wednesday. Okay, Malcolm

(01:11:41):
is going to post not story postto his Instagram declaring that the Cowboys are
the greatest team of all time.I'm a forty nine Ers fan, so
you know it does me no justice. But I know how much it's going
to pain and shame him, andyou've got to leave it up at least
until we record ward. You knowthat following Monday, if not episode debut,

(01:12:03):
and then you can take it down. You can take it down,
but I'm going to keep sharing itlike every day that it's I was saying,
it couldn't be the Giants or likeany other NFC. The gotta be
the Cowboy. That's crazy. Malcolmis a Commanders fan, so he already

(01:12:26):
has to do a lot of stuff'smuffin. He's stripping. I'm telling you,
man, if I don't get atleast a hundred messages from my friends
and family, bro, I'm tellingyou this is crazy. He Batman,
I do it I'll do it.You can. You can preface it however

(01:12:46):
you want. You can say thisis me because I lost and pick them.
This is my punishment. Like Idon't care how you spent it,
but somewhere you spend it like that, though, say, man, you
know what I'm saying. Let himjust go at you like that. Give
yourself some integrity, you know, some honor. I'm a man of my
word. So here I am doingthis. Okay. I think one of

(01:13:11):
my guys got og Roy Williams Jersey, so I'll see what that's crazy?
All right? So I have pickedthe punishment for Malcolm. We'll see who
comes out on top for the nextepisode how long his internet continues to be
paid at Vermont time. But thishas been a lot of fun. Dunk

(01:13:32):
Man, it was great to seeyou again, and thanks for coming on.
I do want to do a collabwith you at some point. Go
ahead and give yourself a nice littlepromo on here for where people can find
you and what you're up to offthe field. You can follow me on
Instagram's leak Duncan, or you typeand dunk underscoreing score one. Off the
field, I do life insurance andstuff like that. Just got other things

(01:13:58):
going on, rugby team, Clevelandrugby team. So just slow grinding.
That's who I am, you know. But right now I'm focused on trying
to make these pigs wrong on Saturdaynight because somebody gives me and my dog,
so we gotta just you know,do our part. So all right,
