Shut up? What's up? Everyone? This is another episode of the award

(00:40):
winning fan show. I'm your hostas always, the t Man Rich Demon.
I am in a great mood. The order has been restored. You
see me donning the gold and thered. Happy forty nine ers day to
all of you. This is actuallya rare Tuesday recording that we're doing this.
The man am I right in theother box. He's a man who

(01:00):
when you go to the gym lateat night and you hear those weird grunting
noises, that's him. That's Malcolm, Father Malcolm. What's going on?
Man? Hey? Too much?Brother, think too much. I like
to think of it more as likea battle cry, you know, cry
man, I'm doing great. Man, good to be back as always.

(01:21):
He is especially relieved because this isnow episode four hundred and eighty four,
and now that we're recording, hecan officially take down his punishment post on
Insta. Dude, the comments alonewere worth it. I just want to
know when you first threw that up, Like, how long until you started
getting the d ms and the commentsand had to explain yourself again. This

(01:46):
had to be a record time toget like interaction for real, because as
soon as it went up, Iput my phone down. The second I
set it down, I started hearingthe phone hanging and beefing and stuff.
I'm like, man, not evena full five seconds, like it's crazy.
And on top of it, it'sjust it got to the point where
people just knew, like how howhard I go for the Redskins or the

(02:10):
Washington Commanders, and uh, youknow, they were just like, yeah,
it had to be a bet,it had to be a no way,
no way. You did this onyour own accordse. I was like,
man, see, the real onewas no but all the same,
it hurt, it was. Itwas terrible, man, Please don't make
me do it again. Well,we're gonna start getting some suggestions for pick

(02:30):
the punishment. Already gotten a few. I do have Malcolm's already picked out.
Uh spoiler alert as far as howhow this last pick them went,
but we'll get to that shortly,of course, with part of our show.
But yes, order has been restoredMalcolm of course in his trusty commander's
gear. A team that's changed itsname more times than it's been in the

(02:53):
postseason the last decade, that don'tdo it, and then me donning the
Glorious Red and Gold on forty nineErs Day four nine, and today's drip
also includes NXT hat my man youknow him as Javier Bernal he is in

(03:14):
NXT. I got this hat whenwe went to Orlando and actually saw him
wrestle in NXT Live. But onthis day two years ago, he won
his first NXT match, so propsto him. And he's still trucking.
So we hope to see bigger andbetter things from my man. Like I
said, you know himss hovey.I know, miss Randy. We played

(03:35):
a little bit of indoor football funfact so with the Wyoming Mustangs. But
anyway, so Malcolm, it wasa long weekend. This is a rare
Tuesday recording that we're doing this. You're screwing everything up as far as my
schedule goes and whatnot. But westart these episodes with the good, the
bad, and the funnies. SoMalcolm, take it away. What's your

(03:55):
good, bad and funny? Myman? Yeah, man, if I
saw him first off, I mean, who would that be if I wasn't
screwing stuff up for you? RichI got to give you a hard time
any chance I get. Uh,you know, I've just been watching a
lot of sports as always do.Especially this week has been very exciting,
and I would say for the gooduh kind of piggybacking off of what I

(04:16):
said last week about the the women'sn C double A. Uh, you
know, March Madness and everything. If you're if you're anything like me and
you follow college basketball, you wouldknow that the men's Yukon team took it
away over Perdue yesterday, beat themfor and they got their second consecutive championship

(04:42):
n C Double A men's championship,which is cool. Uh. The raidings
were super high, which was goodto see as well. But I thought
the coolest part about that was eventhough the ratings for the men's basketball weren't
were at a record hat uh andthat they're and they've been in some years,
the women's basketball still beat them out. I think over it was about

(05:05):
four million more viewers in the SouthCaroline versus the Iowa n C Double A.
Like I said, the March Madnesstournament to close it out, it
was really cool, man. Andlike I said last week too, it's
really cool to see just how sportsare growing and changing over the years.
You know, just a little overa decade ago, it would be a

(05:28):
far crowd to see anywhere close toa full house in the n C Double
A, the women's tournament. Butnow, you know, you have celebrities
coming, you have people that's makingplans just just months in advance to see
these games. And I think it'sthe coolest thing ever. Man. It's
a good thing to see for sportsas a whole. For the bad,

(05:49):
you know, I hate to bringit to injuries, but I mean that's
just a part of sports. Iwas tuning the UFC Vegas ninety Chris Curtis
have the fight the main event onthe stretcher. He was he finished the
He finished the fight luckily, butuh yeah, not too long after they

(06:10):
made a decision, he failed tothe ground, clutching his leg with He
thinks it was a torn what hesay, torn hamstring, and you know,
we won't know for sure until hegets the m R. I think,
uh tomorrow, But uh yeah, man, that's that's that's always bad
to see it. On top ofthat, Dana White was asked about it
and everything. He said that, you know, we hate to see it,

(06:34):
but much like the NFL drops tuckof rule, you know, they're
probably gonna have to make some somealterations to the rules and stuff in UFC,
which makes it hard on the fightersand hard to watch as a fans.
If you know, the more rulesand stipulations you put on stuff,
the the more the less, theless fluid it is. It's a lot

(06:54):
more. Uh, it seems alot more controlled than we would like to
see out of a sport, youknow. For the funny kind of took
it to your room a little bithere, uh tuned into WrestleMania. Yeah,
man, And I don't know ifyou're familiar with the streamer a show

(07:16):
speed, but he was on there. It was It was kind of a
crazy, little wacky moment where hefaced off against Randy Jordan and got r
KAO. I don't know what thebackstory was behind it. I just thought
it was cool to see just tokind of, you know, incorporate the
younger generation in wrestling. Now.I noticed that a lot of younger guys

(07:38):
don't watch as much as I didor probably yourself, you know, growing
up. But yeah, that wasthat was a good way to get them
kind of engaged and you know, get a little touch reach out to a
couple more demographics and fan bases. It was just cool to see that it
was. It was. It wasdefinitely funny to see it was. There

(08:00):
was a lot of comedic value thisyear at WrestleMania, both nights, so
I appreciate that. But yeah, that's that was some good stuff. And
that's actually a good segue and amy good bad and funny, so my
good. It was WrestleMania. Sofor two weeks in a row, now
wrestling so good, so good.Cody Rhodes finished his story. There were

(08:24):
legends that came back. There werea bunch of titles that changed hands,
Sammy's zain Uh. There was alot of long title reigns that ended.
The only long one that didn't wasRhea Ripley And sorry spoiler alert for Anyboddy
that hasn't seen it yet, butno, it was. It was so
good that, in all honesty, like if a person wanted to have like

(08:46):
that near perfect ending of like apay per view, this WrestleMania, like
I could honestly see myself being likeI'm you know, I could retire from
watching wrestling. But here's here's thecatch. Here's the hook is that it's
the first of this new triple hled era, and I'm so curious and
intrigued to see like where it goesnow that of course I'm gonna start tuning

(09:11):
in again. But it's it wasone of those story book endings unintended that
you don't get a whole lot ofand they did this one really well.
So props to WWE, and congratsto Cody Rhoades, Bailey, Sammy Zay,
our Truth Missus and all those guysthat won, everybody that wore Eagles
colors one WrestleMania weekend, which isgreat for them because Eagles fans hadn't seen

(09:37):
a whole lot of winning lately,so that was good for them. My
bad, it is Malcolm. It'sscrewing up my schedule. Had to pivot
a few things here, but alsocongrats to Malcolm. We've had to scrap
our first interview before Leake Duncan lastweek. We actually interviewed one of my

(10:01):
favorite kickers and then it was justa friendly reminder really to me that I
had stepped away for long enough thatnot everybody knows me to the degree that
I had hoped. I mean,at this point, coming back so many
episodes, I knew I was justgoing to be cashing in favors really,
so I cashed what in and theinterview went great. It was a fantastic

(10:22):
interview. And then he said, hey, we got to scrap at tra
again later and I said, okay, you know, I said, I
if your coach wants to call andtalk to me, I'm more than happy
to. Like, that's the thingis communication, Like all you got to
do is just like if the thingsthat could be avoided if people just talk
to each other, there's a list. But no, in all reality,
it's not Malcolm is not the bad. Scrapping the interview is not the bad.

(10:46):
It was just it was funny becauseit's kind of like more of his
initiation process, you know. It'slike, hey, you know, we're
hazing you, you know, towrite a passage to do a great interview
and then have it scrapped. Butreally, still on wrestling, the bad
is the stuff like Logan Paul,Pat McAfee and Bad Bunny. And I

(11:07):
understand that Logan Paul is very talented, works very hard. I understand Pat
McAfee has worked very hard. Iunderstand that even Bad Bunny when he wrestled
at their Puerto Rican pay per viewevent or whatever they're called now that he
also has worked very hard. Butit's like, you know, on the
two year anniversary of my friend gettinghis first win in NXT, they're developmental.

(11:31):
It really just rubs me the wrongway to see these guys skip the
line, so to speak, tosee Logan Paul with his influence, with
his money go and skip the line, like didn't even have to go through
NXT. And he's a champion andhe shows up once a month, you
know, because he's part time, but he owns Prime and their partners now.

(11:52):
And then Pat McAfee who's mainly oncommentary, but he has wrestled in
matches before. And I'm not knockingp people that crack the code to riches
and fame. I mean, inall honesty, if you have enough money
to buy a ring, to setup in your shed or your garage or
your workshop or whatever at your homeand practice wrestling, I mean more power

(12:13):
to you. I'd do that ifI had enough money too. I've always
wanted to wrestle, but I thinkhaving watched for so long and having a
friend now in the industry and followingthe indies and having friends work their asses
off week after week, night afternight for like forty bucks a match or
whatever, just for them to getpassed up because guys have four million Twitter

(12:37):
followers or because they have a lotof money or they have their own show.
It's just, I don't know.It's not a good look for wrestling
because there's already been this long stigmaabout it that, oh, it's fake,
so anybody can do it. Thisdoesn't help, like throwing Logan Paul
and Pat McAfee into matches does nothelp that stereotype that anybody can wrestle.

(12:58):
So again, not taking an anythingaway from the time that they've put in,
but it's just seeing them on thestages and at the level that they
are sometimes just really rubs me thewrong way. Because part of the reason
that I started the fan show andwhy we cater so much to the indoor
football world is because of guys likeMalcolm and my buddy Javier Bernal and all
the other people in the league thatyou know were just on the wrong side

(13:24):
of luck and they got hurt atthe wrong time, or they went to
too small of a school and theycontinue to work their ass off. But
then there's guys skipping the line becauseof who they know, or who their
coach was, or what school theywent to or this or that, and
this was made to be a platformfor them to get more exposure. And
so I'll always be that guy becausetruth be told, me and the Fan

(13:46):
Show have also been that guy.You know. I've never had a lot
of money, never had a lotof influence or a lot of followers.
Everything that I've done has been theprocess of building it from the ground up.
So that's my soapbox for that.I you know, like I said,
it's it's tough because I understand whatthey bring to the industry. But
I mean, my god, ifyou had a lot of money, you

(14:07):
know, like you could do alot of think Malcolm, if you had
you know, let's just say youwin one of the smaller lotos, Like
you have a lot of money.Like, what are you gonna do with
that money? What am I gonnado with the money? Man? That's
a that's such an open ended question, rich I could think of I could
think of the bad answer, butno, I mean, uh, I

(14:28):
don't know, man, It's it'sI guess the giver. And you would
find a way to try to,you know, help benefit somebody else with
it, but I definitely, Idefinitely uh see where where you're going with.
You know, it's kind of likeI guess the dark side of what
I what I would buy. Iguess funny was you know there there there's

(14:48):
a sad where it's like kind ofpublicity driven where you want to bring more
viewership from a different kind of crowd, but at the same time it doesnbu
those guys they have been working forfor so long, and it's it's it's
uh, it's like you said,it's just it's not really it's not really
cool, and it kind of it'slike a slap in the face for the

(15:09):
gas who you know, did itthe quote unquote right way? You know?
So I mean I feel that onehundred percent and I did. I
definitely didn't look at it that way. But yeah, for sure I hear
you on hundred percent. All right. So my funny though not the chat.
Surprisingly nothing from the chat. Infact, there was none of my

(15:30):
favorites in the chat this week,So that means one one of a few
things. Either one, they blockedme. They blocked the fan show account
on YouTube. That's the first, that's the first possibility. Second one is
that they were too busy, maybewatching WrestleMania and I wanted to tune in
on YouTube and chat, or theyhad other things going on, or maybe

(15:54):
didn't even watch the show where Imentioned them to know to comment, but
still, like I said, theywere nowhere to be found, So not
just no mention of me, butthey weren't in there at all. Or
the third possibility, my personal favorite, is that they learned their lesson.
They know I'm right because you knowas well as I do that if you

(16:15):
call somebody out on something and theycan't argue it with you, they won't
say anything. And there's been afew times already in the four episodes that
we've been back where I've called peopleout and have heard nothing, And so
I know that one they were watchingto begin with, so they had to
have watched since. And if theycan't argue what I'm saying, then they

(16:37):
know I'm right. And it's funnybecause we're just gonna keep going down the
list probably and just checking them off. You know, who's starting shit now.
But that's the sweet victory. Thatis my real funny though, is
power rankings, My Go Go powerrankings that I released today. I did
the first one last week, butit was just text. Today I actually

(17:00):
put together a graphic. It's PowerRangers theme. I personally love it.
I think it's great, got alot of really good feedback on it.
But Power rankings I have a lovehate relationship with them because I understand the
purpose is to get people talking, you know, But at the same time,
people get so triggered by something soirrelevant. Really power rankings, Like

(17:22):
they have no bearing on a teamon the season, on postseason and implications,
nothing like that, no bearing whatsoever. But yet people if you put
their team three instead of two,or five instead of four, they they
go off on you. In fact, last week, somebody in the comments
said mass at three was laughable, and I was like, how is it

(17:48):
that your team being in the topthree after three weeks of play is laughable?
Like that's that's pretty good to betop three after that long. But
another funny story for Malcolm is thatI actually pissed off an entire team with
my power rankings. One year itwas the Spokane Empire. The second year,

(18:10):
I did a Power Rankings the weekbefore they played the Wichita Falls Nighthawks,
which was Billy Back's team at thetime, and I had put Wichita
Falls ahead of Spokane, and Ithink I put them number one because they
had a really good strength of opponentgoing. And I got a lot of
kickback for it because Arizona was inthe league now and I think they were

(18:30):
the champs, and they're just like, how you know the champs, blah
blah blah. I was like, okay, but who have they played?
Like the Nighthawks And this was likefour or five weeks in, so there
was some samples there. And sothey played each other. Spokane lost heartbreaking
fashion, like it was a neckand neck game. But then they lost
in the final seconds and I postedon Facebook, I said, and that's

(18:52):
why I had Wichita Falls at numberone. Now. It was meant to
be a clapback to everybody that calledme crazy not having Arizona at number one,
but apparently I started getting texts anddms from the players Unspokeane being like
dude, what the hell? Likewe thought that you were with us,
but you only like this, likewhen we're with I had to apologize to
an entire team. I'll come. There are some that are still upset about

(19:18):
it to this day. There aresome that have still given me crap about
it when we catch up, youknow, from time to time, and
this is year's removal all over Powerrankings. So we can add that to
my list of like times that Igot in trouble without even trying. But
you know, for me, Ido them because one, I never like
to get rusty creatively, and Iwanted to do them because I wanted to

(19:44):
make something new and then have atheme for it. And so I'm thinking,
I was just like, well, there's sixteen teams I could do like
a throwback to the MySpace Top eight. But then if your team's not in
that top eight, now now you'relooking at comments and dms from people just
like oh, it's like like chillout. But then I was like,
okay, well if we do powerrankings like Power, like, how do

(20:07):
we how do we do Power? And I was just like a Power rain
and I was like, oh,Rangers, Okay. So we did the
Power Rangers spin and I remember whenI was done with it and posted it
my wife, you know, danJa, She's just like she's just like
it looks freaking fantastic, and andshe said, you know, there's gonna
come a time where all these leaguesand teams that passed up on you because

(20:32):
either they wanted to be the faceor they didn't want to pay you what
you were worth are going to belike damn, like we really could have
had something. It's like, youknow, I can't turn it off.
I said, I've said it beforeand I say it again. Man,
you got a talent like no otherman. It's just that, I like,

(20:52):
the thing is that childhood wonder andyou just a big key that never
grew up. You know, butthat's a great thing man, for real.
It shows in the graphics making thisyour creative mind. So I mean,
yeah, I'm I was a bigfan of that power ranking too.
I mean it was really cool. We'll see if Malcolm's head ends up on
a power Ranger for one of themsome days. Hopefully that's my that's my

(21:18):
goal. Wow, Malcolm's mug saysnot beer. I love it. It's
not World's Greatest boss mug. It'sa fun tumbler that says not look a
little backstory behind this. I thought, I thought I had to specify.
You know, I have one ofmy guys. I posted a one of

(21:41):
the one of the stories that youyou from the previous episode and they saw
me sipping out of my mug.The guys me, is that what are
you drinking? Bro? What isthat? I said? You know,
he was like, yeah, Ithought you were drinking like something beer or
something. I was like, outof a call, So I don't know

(22:03):
what. I didn't know what tobe more, you know, offended about
whether you thought I would be drinking. I couldn't wait till after the episode
they have a beer or I'm havea coffee. So I'm like, you
know, let's just let's just mitigatethat, and I just put my little
pan, you know, let everybodyknow I'm not drinking beer. This is

(22:25):
a family friendly show, so herewe are, Oh please family friendly.
That's that's like loosely interpreted. ButI did like speaking of of which kind
of There was a comment by TripleH at his press conference after WrestleMania.
He said, you know, ifwe're having fun doing it, you're gonna
have fun watching it. And Ibelieve that that's that's for us here on

(22:47):
the show. You know, ifwe're having fun doing it, people should
be having fun watching it. Ican't say that for everybody, but I
think we've done fairly good job.So far. I like to think,
so, I like to think.So. All right, So that's our
good, bad, and funny forthe week, and we'll see what this
next week has in store for us. Again, congratulations to the South Carolina

(23:10):
women's basketball team and the Yukon men'sbasketball team. This was like the first
year in a long time that Ididn't do a bracket at all and I
didn't follow it really and it wascrazy. But congrats to those teams that
want to know George Kittle. BecauseIowa lost, has to Debo is going
to pick him out something because SouthCarolina won, So that should be interesting

(23:32):
for next NFL season. Little teaserthere, all right, Malcolm. We
had Week four IFL Action, fivegames and wow. So we said going
into it that we had talked somuch about offenses and finding their rhythm and
getting in sync with each other andbuilding that chemistry that I felt this was
going to be the week that weturned our attention to the defenses, and

(23:56):
they did not disappoint. The firstgame was the Northern Arizona Wranglers. They
are two and one now and theydefeated San Antonio Gunslingers fifty seven to fifty.
Gun Slingers faul to Zho and twoJones. Man, this dude,
I need to quit picking against NorthernArizona, like you need to quit picking

(24:17):
Duke City. Like we just gotthe stop man, but he had,
I mean he went off. Hehad five passing tds and three rushing tds
eleven to thirteen for one hundred andfifty two yards. The dude is a
serious stud for the Wranglers. Mccorkerhis hat trick unfortunately ends. He did
have two touchdowns though he just didnot get the third, but it was

(24:40):
a passing or receiving and a rushingtouchdown. Castronova though one hundred and ninety
nine yards. He had five touchdownspassing, a rushing touchdown, and then
an interception, but he was sackedthree times, So there we go.
The defenses were starting to see themstep up hard to you know, getting
the end zone if you're on yourback looking up at a big defender.

(25:03):
So like to see how things developwith that. I still think Gunslingers are
not going to be an easy win, despite them being one of five teams
that is winless right now. Thereare five winless teams in the IFL right
now going into Week five and fiveundefeated teams. We'll talk about that after
this here in a little bit. Then Bay Area the champs. They go

(25:27):
into Jacksonville and get it done Manforty eight to twenty four. So they
go to Owen two Jacks, dropsto Own three to Neil thirteen to eighteen
for one hundred and forty eight yardsfor TDS sugar Shane Simpson two rushing touchdowns,
two receiving touchdowns, and then uhTaeyvon Grant five tackles for him.

(25:52):
I mean, this was a teamthat looks like a reigning defending champion in
a league. I mean, theywere getting it done, so props to
them. And then Tucson they goon the road for the second time.
They get the win over Duke Cityfifty six forty nine, so they're one
in one in Duke City. Dropsto Zho to three Mitchell fifteen to eighteen,

(26:15):
one hundred and fifty three yards, three passing touchdowns, four rushing touchdowns.
So Marshall, talk this kid upand he's a rookie who's lighting it
up on the field right now.Good for him. He did have a
touchdown to three different receivers, sowow, that's hard to do in the
indoor game sometimes Kilgo had one hundredand twenty six yards, four touchdowns,

(26:37):
but two picks. Again. Soyou mentioned last week, Malcolm, that
quarterback issue. I'll just go aheadand ask you right now. You know,
how long do you continue to ridewith your quarterback even though you're facing
tough opponent. I don't think DukeCity's schedule has been easy by any meets.
In fact, if you give themin Iowa or a Sioux Falls,
it could be very much a twoin one team at this point. So

(27:00):
how long are you still going toride with kill Go And what's going to
be your decision maker? Not muchlonger? Rich, To be honest with
you, I kind of had thiscompensation with my older brother. He said
the same thing you did. Well, I keep taking Dick City. I
think my heart's still over there forsome odd reasons. But man, we

(27:22):
were talking about NFL ball that's longago, and I told him that I
think the hardest position to play infootball all period is quarterback for a losing
team, because it's literally nothing youcan do right, you know, unless
you're turning the franchise around right thenand there. Then you're always looking at
it as the bad guy. Youknow, you're captain of a sinking ship

(27:45):
and javing kill goo? Is thatright? Now? You know he does
a lot of good, but that'salways overshadowed by the fact that you said,
like you said, they're oh tothree now he's thrown six interceptions and
what three games is crazy? Youknow? I saw that they brought in

(28:06):
the new gat too, uh fromwho formerly played with the DC Defenders of
the former XFL. So I'm wonderingwhat kind of pressure that's putting on him,
and it's is gonna be interesting seeinghow they go about that going forward.
Okay, so you feel like maybeone more game, you know,
when win or lose, it's reallygoing to be Porman performance based to see

(28:30):
if you if you stick with themor not. I can I can agree
with that assessment. I will.I will say because like I said,
these first three weeks, I mean, the most any team has under their
belt is you know, three games, and it's week four, We're going
into week five and still no nobody'splayed the whole stretch. In fact,
I think four of the top fiveteams I have in my power rings didn't

(28:52):
even play this last weekend. Soit's it was a lot for the middle
and the bottom to get work done. But this is still technically the preseason
because camp is very short and thenthere are no preseason games. You just
kind of thrown right into it.So yeah, I would say one more
game, you know, and it'sgonna have to be a damn near a

(29:12):
perfect game really, and a lossin a win. I don't know how
many mistakes you're willing to overlook asa coach, but I guess we're just
thankful that we're not in that situationas a coach to have to figure out
what's you know, what's it goingto be? How do you decide that?
So keep an eye on Duke City. And then we had green Bay.

(29:33):
They go into Quad City just likeMalcolm predicted and got it done thirty
two, twenty four. So greenBay has won back to back. They're
two and one. Quad City dropsone at home. They're one in one.
But it was not Max Miler, whose name would be called as far
as lighting it up, it wasSkyler Perry. So Max Miler, I'm

(29:55):
told he was inactive that game becauseof a stinger. In his back talk
to coach Roberson, he said he'sgonna be Okay, you know he'll be
back. But man Skyler Perry fiveof nine for fifty nine yards, so
not much through the air. Hedid have a touchdown, but on the
ground fifteen rush attempts, sixty sevenyards and two tds. So this is

(30:17):
one of those TJ. Edwards lookingkind of offenses when it's Perry. Miler
did some stuff on the ground too, but he was also able to get
it done through the air, youknow, primarily like that was his first
go to But it's weird. I'venever seen statistics like that in a win.
So few passing attempts, completions andyards and then you have that on

(30:40):
the ground. Kagel though had twotds rushing Ericson for Quad City, though
he got sacked three times, soagain defense stepped up big time. It
was a lower scoring game than Ithink we were all used to, but
it was a great game, tworivals going at it. So I think
Ericson just chalk this up to abad game. But my question for you,
though, Malcolm, is you knowall week Quad City their defense is

(31:04):
prepping for Miler, and then youfind out game time and I don't know
how long before game time I foundout on the broadcast that he was inactive
for that game. So most ofthe time you guys are studying film,
you're learning what kind of looks theygo with, what certain looks mean.
Maybe even if a you know,if a quarterback bobs his head twice before

(31:26):
the snap, that means he's throwingthe ball. I don't know how in
depth it gets, but for youas a defender, I mean, what
all have you has gone into preparationfor a quarterback and what happens when you
find out that it's not going tobe that guy at that position that you're
facing off against, and how doyou adjust? Well, I'll tell you

(31:48):
Richard does throw the game off quitea bit, man, because is that
serious, Like, we really lookat every little thing, every little tendency,
whether he drops his back foot whenhe's sett in that for you know,
the drop back for a pass,or if he you know, his
stance is a bit wider if he'sgoing to hand off the ball, whatever
the case is. We literally spendcountless hours during the week watching film just

(32:12):
looking for the smallest tendencies that willgive us a leg up on that specific
person. So you know, whenwhen they found out I'm not sure how
soon they found him, but whenthey did see that Max Smiler wasn't playing,
I'm sure it did throw a wrenchin the plans. But all the
same, you gotta play ball, you know. You can't. You can't
use that as an excuse to not, you know, do your job.

(32:35):
So I'm sure they probably didn't sweakthe game play much. They probably figured
since their two quarterbacks within the samesystem, it's not going to be much
of a difference. But there wasindeed quite a difference, you know,
just giving the fact that he wasprimarily a running quarterback. So I couldn't
I couldn't tell you whether or notthey didn't prepare for that, but it

(32:57):
certainly does, you know, kindof kind of changed things a little bit,
you know, especially when they seehis style of play and how he's
getting going there probably for a goodperiod of time, you know, just
without an answer. So yeah, might I feel for them on that?
Okay, all right, fair enough? So that was score one from Malcolm,
and then I had one with theTucson over Duke City games. So

(33:22):
we're tied one and one at thispoint with one game left to go,
which brings us to Iowa and Tulsa, the Barnstormers and the Oilers. It
was Tulsa's home opener. Great crowd, great uniform They were playing the camouflage
game, Malcolm. They had allblack uniforms on a black turf. Man,
like, what what is Jones upto? So that game thirty one

(33:45):
Iowa thirty nine Tulsa. So Iowadrops to oh and two Tulsa one and
one. Daniel Smith one hundred andtwenty yards, eleven rushing attempts for fifty
seven yards and three tds on theground, so clearly doing a great job
there. Peterson had one hundred andninety eight yards with three touchdowns, but
also had three interceptions, so thatwas tough. Again, this is a

(34:07):
team I believe, struggling to findits identity and it's just going to take
more time unfortunately. But Roman Morrisfour tackles and two of those three interceptions.
So the defenses, like I said, and like we discussed last week,
going into this one, it isnow their game. It is the
defense's job to basically be the differencebetween a win and a loss. Through

(34:30):
four weeks, we have five teamsundefeated, the Pirates, the Panthers,
the Strike Force, the Nighthawks andthe Fighters, and five winless teams teams
still looking for that first w theGladiators, the Gunslingers, the Sharks both
new to the league, the Barnstormers, and the Soioup Falls Storms. So
this next week I think could bea real turning point for some teams,

(34:53):
could spell disaster for others, asfar as we could have seen the last
highlights from some players, specifically atthe quarterback position. I don't like to
think that coaches are necessarily on thehot seat when it comes to indoor ball
and starting off oh to three oreven oh to four. I mean,
this is a game where you're notgiven the kind of resources or time that

(35:15):
you are in the NFL. SoI think it's you know, Iowa,
they're under their head coach now forsecond year in a row. There's been
technically three head coaching changes since DixieWooten won that championship with them in twenty
eighteen, if you count the timethat a mere Ishmael was announced as the
head coach, because he did hedid do tryouts, he did do camp,

(35:36):
he did assemble a roster, andthen he took another job and to
less Moss, So I mean, there's there's it's gonna be some adjusting.
I feel for the guys, Ireally do. So hopefully teams like Iowa
Duke City can turn it around.Maybe this is that week that they do.
We'll get to that with our weekfive predictions and I get to pick

(35:57):
Malcolm's punishment for the second week ina row, so we will see how
that looks. And of course wewant your suggestions for the pick your punishment.
I have a great one for Malcolmthis time because the interview we had
to scrap that person. Malcolm textedme yesterday and said, hey, I
got all my picks right. Forthose of you that don't know the joke

(36:22):
at the end of that interview, because of the punishment that I had picked
for Malcolm, which he gets totake down now off his Instagram. The
person we interviewed now on the showsaid, Hey, if I get all
my picks right, Malcolm should beexonerated from his punishment. And I said,
this is not a lifeline. There'sno phone friend here. But because

(36:42):
he did, and because he remindedme that he did, I will take
it easy on you. You will, because back to back, I'm not
going to make it worse. That'stoo soon, too quick, So we
will do that when we talk aboutweek number five with more of the Fan
Show after this. All right, folks, we are back and to help
us discuss week five before Malcolm andI do our pick. Him is a

(37:06):
man who you come to know andlove if you're in title town, Green
Bay, Wisconsin. He is thehead coach of the Blizzard. It is
Corey Roberson, coach. Thank youso much for joining us. How you
doing doing well? Doing well?Thank you for having me, absolutely first
coach we've had on since the FanShow has been back. We just had
Malik Duncan on last week to talkQuad City. Before that matchup, I

(37:30):
went with the home team. Malcolmpicked Green Bay, and you know,
it's good problems to have, thoughI don't like being put in a situation
where I got to pick between teamsI like, but thankfully you guys have
both been good enough this season whereit's just like, hey, whoever wins'.
That's great really because you guys havecome a long way. Like what

(37:52):
stands out to you looking at thetwenty twenty four Green Bay Blizzard team unselfishness.
You know we've hit some guys inthe past, it was it was
selfish. They were selfish and itwas it was me before we you know,
I think we we we've settled andwe did that out, so you

(38:15):
know, uh, and then havinga returning quarterback, I think that's always
good. You know, we gotto start with that position. The past
few years with being you know, having a down year, that position was
it was a new person every year. So you know, having a guy
back in year two it's always great. But you know, putting the right
pieces around him, you know,it's key. Yeah, you guys have

(38:37):
played some really great football this season. I know that that first loss to
mass was tough, and I remembertelling Malcolm when we did the show after
that, I said, this isa team that, for whatever reason,
they've had the hardest time playing allfour quarters, like fifty eight fifty nine
minutes, but not all sixty. And then when you guys finally got that

(38:58):
first win and now this second winagainst Quad City on the road, I
mean, you guys are playing verywell both sides. This time. You
did it without Max Miler who wasinactive. You did it with Skyler Perry
who was amazing on the ground. But before we talk about your quarterbacks,
What is it that really has beenthe difference maker for this team as far

(39:21):
as you know, playing all sixtyminutes and not coming up just shy of
a win and now being on theright side of the wins and losses columns.
Yeah, you know that first gamewe played fifty nine minutes and forty
five seconds. No, we Ithink leadership, you know, a player

(39:43):
led team is important, and Ithink we got the right leaders in place,
you know, and it's my responsibilityin my job to coach them up.
Coach everyone for sure, but coachthem up and make sure that they're
leading the team in the right directionas well. So I would just say
leader ship. You know, wehad we returned some guys in the secondary,
and I you know, I thoughtin my eyes, which you know,

(40:06):
I had to get better. Oursecondary last year was probably the worst
secondary that we had. And tobring a couple of key, the key
guys from that secondary back and seetheir growth is remarkable. The d line
play, you know, talk aboutthem, them guys, you know,
they they getting after it. Soespecially the big guy in the middle.

(40:28):
You know as well as I dothat people fans and communities can be one
your your biggest fan, or theycan be very unforgiving when it comes to
the success or even lack thereof atthis level. In this game, we
have two brand new faces to theleague and the Jacksonville Sharks last year's n
AL champion San Antonio Gun Slingers.Neither has won a game Jack's They've had

(40:50):
a pretty tough schedule to start offtheir inaugural season with the i FL.
But then you know, you havepeople in comments saying that their coach just,
you know, he's not it,that their roster, that they went
cheap, or whatever you want tosay. And then you have a Duke
City who's been in the league fora while and they have a quarterback who's
you know, doing well until he'snot, you know, making some poor

(41:12):
decisions, a couple more turnovers orinterceptions. So for you, because I
know that you've been there as faras just trying to figure out what the
identity of your team is, wheredoes it start? And you know how
how much pressure is there on youas a coach when we're five weeks in,
but the most any team has playedis three games. You know,
the pressure is always as a coachis to make sure you leading the ship

(41:37):
in the right direction, right.I think it starts to stop at the
top. You know, I comefrom the coaching tree, you know,
with guys, that's you know, powerfout football right now. You know,
players win ball games, coaches losethem. I understand that that's not always
the case, but I also knowthat it's a high percentage. So I
think it always starts and stop atthe top. You know, talk about

(41:58):
this game plan that we had lastweek, right, we had to make
some adjustments knowing that you know,Max was not in we couldn't do the
same thing although we did we had, We just had to switch some stuff
up. We had to cater toour who we had, our personnel.
So I think that's keep being flexibleas coaches, you know, to create
that identity of what we're going tobeat that game. Fair enough, Well,

(42:21):
Malcolm, you are a big fanof the man in the other box
right now, so I'll goe andhand it over to you. Anything for
mister Corey Robson of the Blizzard,Yeah, yeah, for sure, coach.
I mean, first off, definitelywant to congratulate you on you know,
just this this witness past weekend. You know, just what you guys
been doing since the season started.I mean, I've been watching pretty closely

(42:44):
and it's it's looking good over thereso far. All sure, Yeah,
for sure? Man. Also,uh, you said a couple of things
that kind of stood out to me, And I think leadership is probably the
most important as a player myself.I know how important it is to have
a player leadership. You know,it's one thing hearing it from the coach,

(43:05):
but if you have guys in yourhuddle or guys in your position room,
who who will stay on you justas much as the coach or you
know, just I want to winas much as the coach does. You
know, It's it's super important.You know, a drive, that's literally
what drives a team. You know, I've seen championship teams ruined by just
one guy, you know, souh, I mean I want to commend

(43:29):
you on that. That's that's athat's a huge accomplishment that you know,
weed out those guys to you know, and bring back the guys who you
feel like, can you know, assist you guys in your run and you
know it's it's it's not an easything to do. I can imagine.
Yeah, No, that That's that'sone of the tough parts, right.
You build a relationship with these guysyou uh, you know to come to

(43:51):
Green Bay and compete, right, you know, we know, uh,
for whatever reason, right, it'sthe love of the game. But they
also you also have to build thatrelationship with these young men and that you
know, when it's time to saygoodbye, you know, it's not like
you just saying goodbye to another guy, you know what I mean, You're
saying goodbye to someone who you've puttime in to try to get to know

(44:14):
and you know, hope, hopefullythey was getting to know you and who
you are. They took it.You know, it was trust right,
you know, for them to comeand drop everything from where they were wherever
they were to come over there. But you know, it's also a business,
right and some people, you know, you got to get the right
people on the bus and the wrongpeople off. You know, we have
tough conversations, the Trinkler family andI we have some tough conversations. I

(44:37):
think that's what helped us grow. You know, you think about what was
it twenty nineteen when we came inthis together and we instantly had some success
and then you know, the lastthree years we didn't have any especially not
as much as we were hoping for. You know, it's been some tough
conversations, but you know we've growntogether, especially Larry and I her husband,

(45:00):
Larry Trinkler. We've grown. Wewent through some growing pains and you
know this. I think actually youmight have been the first person I interviewed
when I became the head coach.Actually you were the first person who interviewed
me when I became the head coach. I remember sitting in a parking lot
of shop co Hall that's now toredown, but at the rest center speaking
with you. It's definitely it's growthand happened within the past four or five

(45:27):
years. But you know, wejust keep chopping and staying the course with
the process. Excellent, man,I'm glad that you guys have that kind
of relationship. I love it whenpeople stick with, you know, the
people that they chose to basically build. You know, it seems like there's
a lot of turnover at just aboutevery level, but this is a level
where you guys, just like Imentioned to Malcolm earlier, you don't have

(45:51):
the resources, you don't have thetime that you know, an NFL or
even a UFL now has these firstfour weeks are basically your guys preseason because
it was camp and now they count, you know, wins and losses.
I think that's great that you've hadthat support. Fantastic to see you after
all these years again and it's beenfun to watch you and and the Green
Bay Blizzard from afar, I'll ask. I don't know how much you can

(46:15):
say, but Max Miler obviously wasinactive. Skyler Perry did a great job
in his absence. Is there aseverity to it, like how long will
he be away? Can you tellus when he'll be back? Things like
that? Yeah, No, Imean we we we found out that we
are starting quarterback was out, youknow, and it was you know,

(46:36):
we addressed the team that you know, we had to clear the elephant in
the room, and we took ahead on and we was able to prep
all week with knowing that we wasgonna have Skylar play. And Skylar hats
off to him. He did agreat job stepping in and you know,
taking the helm and led us tovictory. So I want to make sure
that we, you know, hehis approach and his preparation and you know,

(47:00):
him learning the game is you know, been top notch so and everything
that that young man has been through. But as far as Max, you
know, it's it's you know,we have to wait and see. We're
waiting and see who's going to beon the field at quarterback that day.
Now, it's not a long terminjury, so I could say that,

(47:21):
Okay, okay, well I believeyou, I trust you. I know
that you've done you know you've beenthrough worse in green Bay. But the
people at green Bay they love you, so we're happy to have you.
And that will segue us into ourweek five predictions. Malcolm and I make
our picks. The loser gets apunishment, winner gets to pick that punishment.
I've got malcolms all picked out andready to announce at the end of

(47:45):
this. But we'll ask you,Coach Robertson, for your thoughts, things
that you like about both teams andwhat could ultimately be the difference maker in
these games. You guys get tokind of sit back and enjoy the week
awful win, So that'll be greatfor you guys. So Friday, April
twelfth, we're back to Friday games. Now we have the winless Iowa Barnstormers

(48:06):
taking on the undefeated Massachusetts Pirates. This is tough for me. I love
the Barnstormers, but as I mentionedthe Malcolm, I think they're on there
technically officially their third coach since Dixieleft after that championship because amir Ishmael did
you know, he was announced,he did have a camp, he did
assemble a roster, and then UnlessMoss took over and now obviously he's with

(48:28):
Northern Arizona. So it's a teamthat has gone through a lot of identity
changes, and I think that's what'sthe biggest thing missing for them is what
is the new Iowa Barnstormers identity looklike? So, coach, obviously you've
played both of these teams, You'revery familiar with one of them. But
what what do you like about bothteams and what is going to be the
difference maker in this game? Tough, tough situation right now happening over there

(48:51):
at Iowa, right, you know, with with the losing part. You
know, Mogs is a good friendof mine, so you know, I
hope he's able to, you know, figure it out and get it together
Massachusetts, right, you know,Jawad do a great job of recruiting.
He know how to find guys andwhat he put together a nice coaching staff

(49:12):
as well. And having Ben Infieldback, you know, former United Vote
MVP in twenty twenty one. Youknow that that that's key. And I
can't stress enough the quarterback position. And then knowing that they have Jimmy Robinson
back, now it's gonna be atough taiale for Iowa, you know.
And I was still, like yousaid, they figuring out their identity.
They got a new defensive coordinator who'strying to figure it out. You know

(49:35):
my guy TP Tyrell Pearson over there. You know who's who's that leader on
the defensive side of the ball. But you know it's gonna be tough for
Iowa this this game. So MoG'sa great coach. I think he'll be
able to expose that defense for sure. But how thin can they be?
Okay? All right, good assessment, Malcolm. Last week you were Iowa
all the way against Tulsa. Sowho you taking in this one? But

(50:00):
I would love to see, likecoach said, I would love to see
Iowa in their offense be as explosiveas they as explosive as they could be,
you know, as we know themto be. But ultimately, like
you both say, you know, they're going through some things right now,
still trying to find their identity, and football is an unforgiven game. Man.

(50:22):
It's not gonna take it easier justbecause you're not ready. You know,
a high school coaching minds say,you know, if you're going through
something, we'll pray for you beforewe put you to sleep, you know.
So I think that's what MASS isgoing to do. They're not going
to take it easy on them justbecause they're going through somethings. So Mass
has it together, Iowa doesn't.I think it's easy win Mass. Yeah,

(50:44):
I'm gonna take Mass two. Again. They don't have the confidence to
pick against them, but again, they haven't played a team with a winning
record all season, with the exceptionof course of green Bay, but that
was the first game of the seasonand has a green Bay obviously since then
God another win. So their strengthto schedule has not been great. Not
to take anything away from them, but I'm ready for a true test to

(51:07):
see just how good a Mass is. Right now number two on my power
rankings. So the next Friday gamewe have the Gunslingers in action again.
They're going on the road again toVegas to take on the undefeated Nighthawks.
So again, a team that hasn'twon all season taken on a team that
is in the undefeated column. Crazyas it might be. Vegas looking very

(51:29):
strong. Coach, what do youlike about the squads and where's the difference?
Uh? Knowing? You know MikeDavis and Chin and what they put
together. Over there have my quarterbackfrom last year, well, our Green
Bay quarterback from last year and Jeromeand you know, we knew what he
was able to do, and he'sa playmaker. You know, it's gonna
be it's gonna be a long day. I think over there with san Antonio

(51:52):
so I mean and Mike Davis, they put together on pay for a very
good team. I mean from topto bottom. You look at every single
position, so they are loaded.Yeah, we know Vegas can score points,
but San Antonio can score some pointsthemselves. I think the matchup to
watch is going to be the SanAntonio offense against the Vegas defense. How

(52:15):
how long do you let them stayin the game? Do you even allow
them in the game early at all? Because it's They're a team. The
gun Slingers are a team that youhave to play all four quarters against.
It's not I mean even Jacksonville startedto come back with that one. I
think they kind of went to cruisecontrol mode about halfway you know, halftime
in that one. But I'm gonnaroll with Vegas at home, Malcolm who

(52:36):
you like? You know, Ihate sad and which you're rich, But
yeah, I gotta go in Vegastoo, man. You know, like
coasaid, they got a special guyover there in Jerome, Man and went
to the same school as me,Buie State. I knew from when I
saw on back then. He's aspecial guy. You know, playmaker,
great on his feet, getting betterweek that week, throwing, you know,

(52:59):
uh, pretty much prove himself asa dual threat quarterback. And also
Vegas the one thing that a lotof people don't really take notice of is
their defense. They're really good overthere. Their cornerback number three, Roger
Chapman easily a best TB on thatteam, I could say, probably the
best dB, one of the bestdbs in the IFL altogether. Yeah,

(53:22):
I think Vegas gonna walk out ofthere with a victory. Okay, we
both like Vegas. So that leadsus to our first Saturday game, Quad
City Steam Wheelers, who just suffereda defeat at home against the Man,
and that we have on our showright now. His Blizzard coach Corey Roberson,
and they're gonna go into Frisco totake on the Fighters. So coach,
obviously you know one team very well, just saw them up close and

(53:45):
personal. What do you like andwhere's the difference here? I mean,
I think it's the easy one whenyou talk about the quarterback position, right,
you know who Frisco have over there, the reign of MVP. You
look at the coaches. You know, you got to young coach with with
uh Coles over there, and thenyou have, you know, a veteran

(54:07):
coaching and Corey Ross. So it'sgonna come down. I believe it comes
down to coaching. I think thisgame is gonna be it's who's gonna out
coach you. I think both ofthem had the pieces in place. But
you know, we talked about thatvaluable position in the beginning. All right,
Malcolm, you first are you takingit's gonna be a chess match between

(54:30):
the coaches. But the difference makeris that Gal over there for t J
Edwards man. Like I said theweek before, t J Edwards does t
J Edwards thing, so you know, game changes. Man. He's a
he's a big part of the offensefor a reason. I think he's gonna
prove it again versus Quad City.So I'm taking Riscoe. I really want

(54:50):
to check Quad City's loss and Erickson'sperformance to to just a one off,
just a bad day, because itlooked really good against the Storm for that
first win of the season. ButI hopefully a better performance. I don't
know if it'll be enough to win. I will take the Fighters in this
one. So me and Malcolm agreeonce again. And that's our loan Saturday
game, which brings us to Sunday, the Tulsa Oilers taking on the Soue

(55:15):
Falls Storm coach Oilers. Obviously we'rea new team last year. They're just
coming off of win almost had towin in Frisco against those very Fighters,
and then with Sue Falls. It'sthe Andre Fields era. I don't know
how much you know about him orthis version of the Storm, but what
do you like? Yeah? WeAndre Andre a good guy. You know,

(55:37):
he's been around the game a longtime, long long time. I
mean, he played when I played, So he's been on a lot of
those championship teams. He's been theirtheir guru on the defense, even you
know, behind the scenes for many, many years. So I'm expecting him
to do a great job as theycome around and start figuring out what their

(55:59):
identity is. Marv, Marv. That team was tough last year. It
took us fifty nine minutes and fiftyseven seconds to finally take the lead in
that game. Don't ask me howI remember all that, but that was
the album. Oh and when wewent to Tulsa, so and he brought
back some key positions. He bringhis coordinator back home. And it's just
gonna you know, which which team'sgonna be consistent? Yeah, it's it's

(56:22):
tough for me to pick against ateam that's already dropped, you know,
a couple of games early in theseason. It's there's so much in a
name, right, the Storm,it just seems like they should be just
like Arizona, just your go topick. But man, I'm rolling Oilers.
My man, coach Jones is overthere doing great things with with Tulsa,
So, Malcolm, you might aswell just pick the Storm. In

(56:44):
this one. Save us all sometime, because you haven't picked Tulsa once
yet. That's that's the crazy thing. As much as I want to go
against him this week two, Ican't, Man, I can't. They're
they're catching fire at the perfect time. Manod No, what's Daniel Smith looking
way more confident, gaining more andmore confidence as the Weeds go on.

(57:07):
So I think I think they're goingto take home all right. We both
like Tulsea, even though I thinkdeep down Malcolm wants to say in the
storm, but he's under heavy influenceright now for me anyway. That'll bring
us to another Sunday matchup. Gotquite a few for Sunday. That's the
San Diego Strike Force going on theroad to take on a well rested and

(57:30):
probably very frustrated Arizona Rattlers team. This is an Arizona team that has dropped
back to back for the first time. I don't know possibly ever, Like
that's something that you have to googlebecause it just doesn't happen very frequently in
San Diego. They look like thatthat team that is one of those teams
to beat there in my top fiveright now. So coach Kevin Guy gets

(57:52):
three games, two losses. Nowbye is at home against the team that
is red hot. What's your takeawayfrom this matchup? Yeah, no,
this is gonna be a good one. You know Taylor and KG they I'm
sure you know Nate Davis quarterback play, right, you know you talk about
the quarterback play. They gather awinner over there now in Arizona with coming

(58:16):
out of retirement with Brown. Soit's gonna be a heavyweight bout, that's
for sure. And you know whichteam is gonna be well coached coach least
penalized Moy Fishitt. You know that'sthat's who will win his ball game.
All right, So Malcolm, I'lllet you do the honors first here.
Now, I believe coach guys saidthat Sneid was supposed to be back after

(58:39):
their bye. I haven't heard anyconfirmation on that yet, could still be
Lorenzo. But either way, they'veyou know, managed to get by with
both very capable obviously quarterbacks. Ithink Sneid probably gives them the edge.
But what's your pick either way itgoes. I think it's going to be
a shootout quarterback wise with either thegas over there Arizona. You know,

(59:00):
great quarterbacks gunslingers for sure, andas we all know, Nate Davis coming
off of what like an eight tonine touchdown game or something like that.
Crazy crazy, man, it's thecrazy quarterback play between the two of them.
I think the difference maker is goingto be Day and the Dolls.
They get over there in San Diego. So I'm taking them over the Raptors.

(59:24):
Ooh, this is tough. Thisis tough, h man, I
think, Wow, am I reallyabout to say this? I think I'm
gonna take Arizona. I think Itwo in a row is bad. Three.
I don't think that the world couldcould continue to exist. San Diego

(59:47):
is that team. Don't get mewrong. But if Arizona is good at
anything, it's their defensive play againstreally good quarterbacks. So yeah, I'm
gonna I'm well rested at home.If Dalton Sneed's back, I'm gonna go
with Arizona. I can't believe I'msaying that. Okay, anyway, I'm
taking Arizona. Wow. Okay.So that brings us to our Week five

(01:00:14):
finale, and that is Sunday again, So no Monday Night's good for you,
Malcolm. We get to record ata reasonable hour if you're not busy
again. That is when the champs, the Bay Area Panthers on the road
again, but not far. Theywill go into Tucson to take on the
Sugar Schools coming off their first winof the season. So, coach,

(01:00:37):
I mean, these are two teams, very well coached teams, very good
offenses. Mitchell for the Sugar Schoolsas a rookie, is really lighting it
up. Something to appreciate, youknow, considering how much the talent is
kind of all over the place betweenhere, the AFL the UFL. So
it's good to see rookies come inand do really well right off the bat.

(01:00:59):
So what do you like about thesetwo squads? Yeah, I'm gonna
just talk about their coaching. Yougot Billy Becken and Kaiser over there,
both been head coaches and winners. You got Dixie Wooton and Rob Keith,
both been head coaches and winners.I think you just look at the pedigree

(01:01:24):
and you know it's going this isa heavyweight about itself. This is,
you know, to to pretty solidteams facing off against each other. But
you know, I think this gameis just looking at trenches. I think
that's the don't tell it all.I agree Game one in the trenches for
sure, whoever can play more mistakefree football if that's even possible. But

(01:01:50):
yeah, the coaching staffs for thesetwo teams are phenomenal. I mean,
it's really like it should be againstthe rule, like you know, the
veteran rule that we have. Itshould be have so many good coaches on
one team or two teams in thiscase. So let's see, I'm gonna
go with the Champs until further notice. Nothing against Tucson or Billy Beck.
I think that they've got a verybright future and a great season ahead of

(01:02:14):
them. It was tough for themwith that first loss of the season,
but you know, this will bea real test for I think both squads
as far as like how good bothof them are, you know, and
what the future holds as far asthe remainder of the season just in five
weeks of play. So I'm goingto take the Champs in Bay Area,
Malcolm, you it's a closet ofTitans here, man, Clearly, like

(01:02:37):
you guys said, the coaching thisphenomenal man to to you know, ifl
Hall of Fame caliber coaching staffs easily, I think the real difference maker is
gonna be something that coach said earlierin an interview in the episode is a

(01:03:00):
leadership. You know, that veteranleadership on bay Area I think is a
bit stronger than you what you gotover there in Tucson. Not to say
that, you know, Tucson islacking in any way, shape or form,
but they're led by, like yousaid, a rookie. He's doing
the phenomenal I think I read earlierhe has what like eight rushing touchdowns and

(01:03:22):
just the two games they played, which is crazy. But all in all,
you know, bay Area has ledbackan nel who's been in this league
for a number of years, onechampionships, and uh just just just seeing
his fair share of the game offootball. So you know, I think
that's gonna be what it comes downto ultimately. So I'm taking I'm taking

(01:03:45):
a bay Area for sure, allright. So I think J V and
varsity right there out there and somebodywatching it know what I'm talking about.
I like it. I think Malcolm'sstarting to learn his lesson. We're only
different on one game instead of threelike we've been in the last couple of
weeks, So he's started he'slus getyou know, without blurring the line.

(01:04:09):
He's there. So now it's timeto pick Malcolm's punishment. I said I
was gonna go a little easier onhim this week because it's back to back
and the comments alone on his lastpunishment were well worth it. But I
tried to get him on tonight.I will let you know that right now,
but you will have to face theguys from that Omaha team that are

(01:04:30):
on the Tulsa Oilers and Coach Jonesif I can get them, and you
will have to apologize for picking againstthem. And don't think I'm gonna just
let them forget that you're that nowyou're picking them to win on the road
against Sue Falls, but that youhave picked against them, not once,
but twice. So you will haveto apologize to the boys. He sort

(01:04:50):
of let me know whatever that is, I will make sure I'm doing something
whatever, whatever day, I'll makesure i've been. Yeah, they were
busy tonight, unfortunately they had They'reat a Drillers game, which is another
Tulsa team. They're there as ateam event. But I hit up Pat
and Coach Jones and Montero and Iwas just like, hey, I need

(01:05:12):
you guys to come on, Igot something, you guys got it to
God. That cool, all right, So that will be Malcolm's punishment next
time. We'd love to hear yoursuggestions for the pick your punishment Forever the
loser is of the pick them.I did see pie in the face.
We've had Malcolm dress up, youknow, or one of us lip sync

(01:05:34):
to uh, you know, boyband song or something like that. So
there's a few good suggestions out there. Would love to hear more. But
Coach Robertson, thank you so muchfor joining us here. It's always great
to catch up with you. Man. I'm so glad you were able to
make it. Yeah. No,I appreciate you having me ask me to
come on. I want to sayI appreciate you for even bringing the fancial
back. You know, I wasa huge fan back in the day and

(01:05:57):
well a few years ago, right, you know, and to have you
back, I know you just gotto get back into it. But this
is this is huge for the game. Yep. I'm happy to be back.
Having Malcolm here in the other boxwith me has been a lot of
fun. There's a banter finally tothe show. It's not just me talking
to myself with my own ego, trying to fit into a single box.
But you know, I was thinkingabout it. So I've got a bobblehead

(01:06:21):
of your guys in a ball, and I've got a giant flask somewhere that's
a Blizzard. But I don't haveany wearable stuff. I like to mix
up what I'm wearing on the show. I don't have a Blizzard T shirt
or hat or nothing. I needto send Ryan a hat because I guess
he's retiring his and there are fanshow hats. I need to send him

(01:06:41):
one. Not that he'd wear iton the strictly Blizziness, but yeah,
I gotta. I gotta get onthe getting some wearable Blizzard stuff so I
can mix it up on the show. Here, Tech, text me your
sizes and your address. We wouldget something stepped out to you this week.
All right, sounds good, andthen we'll see if of Malcolm and
Malcolm if you want something, wegot you, baby, I take it.

(01:07:04):
I take it. I don't knowif you remember. Back in what
was it, late twenty twenty two, we had a little chat back and
forth. I was trying to comeover there, but you know, I
guess that went a different direction.I understand, I do it. I
do recall I was, I wassitting here the whole time, like Malcolm.
Why his name sounds for me?I think, yeah, I think

(01:07:25):
we talked hopefully he don't bring thisup and you sure enough. Hey,
hey, look, I understand,Hey, you gotta do what you gotta
do. I respect it, butI'll take some gear, for sure.
But I get that over to you. Anything's better than that commander stuff that
he show. Ain't this ain't goingnowhere. You know that, Malcolm,
your stock is going up so muchbeing on the show and talking to these

(01:07:47):
coaches and playing the next place yougo once you're fully healed and up in
one hundred percent. So this wasa great episode, Episode four hundred and
eighty four, which is crazy tothink about considering we didn't do one for
two years. But yes, coachRoberson was I was his first interview when

(01:08:08):
he got in here. So it'sgreat to bring back some familiar faces.
And you can catch us on allthe social media Twitter, Instagram, Facebook,
give us a like. You canwatch us on the YouTube channel so

(01:08:29):
the team man, Richard Tiaman. This has been another great episode of the
fan show. We will see younext time.
