(00:13):
God, shut up, sho, what's up? Everyone? Welcome to the

(00:37):
One and Only Fans Show, Episodefour hundred and eighty five. Now that
may seem like a big deal, maybe not so big a deal, but
considering there was like a two yearhiatus and we're five episodes back, it
is fantastic. Feels great, Ifeel great. I'm your host, of
course, as always, the teaman, Richard Teaman and the man in

(00:58):
the box to my right likes todip his wings, his buffalo wings and
ketchup. It's disgusting, but it'sthe ever fabulous Malcolm McCoy, Father Malc,
How you doing. I'm doing allright, man, I will never
it never seems to amaze me whereyou get these these captains and whatever the
case. But yeah, I'm doinggood. I'm good. Well. So,

(01:19):
there was a stretch of time wherethere were Chuck Norris facts, right,
like he doesn't push his body upwhen he does push ups, he's
actually pushing the ground beneath him down. And so for fun, I figured
we could do Malcolm fun facts. But they're like the opposite of that.
They're things that are just like,no, he doesn't does he he eats

(01:41):
his steaks well done. Like Imean, I'm sure that there's one probably
this week or one coming up whereit's whether or not you pour milk first
or cereal first, And so it'sjust funny because people really believe it,
and it is the funniest part aboutit is defending myself as I think it.

(02:02):
I thank you well. One thingI want to get out of the
way on this episode, because Ihave plans for this episode to be a
really great one, a really funone. But one thing I want to
clarify because it happened just yesterday,as if I ever remove a post or
delete a tweet or whatever from socialmedia, there's a number of reasons why
I do that. Either one,it's run its course too, it's not

(02:23):
really relevant anymore. Or three there'sjust there's been not really any reaction to
it. So there was a playerthat Malcolm and I both know who vented
his frustrations with his current team andsituation. A lot going on there,
no surprise considering the franchise and Malcolm, you and I we know this all
too well, unfortunately, but youknow, he vented his frustrations on Facebook.

(02:45):
So I messaged him, said, hey, could I screen grab this
and share it. I'll block outyour name and face or whatever you want.
And he said, no, Imean it's out there because I want
it to be out there. Okay. Cool. Before I did, though,
I reached out to a couple otherpeople that have been either in that
league or associated with teams like that. I said, hey, are you
hearing similar? They're like, dude, ninety percent of what that says,
I'm hearing too, got it?Okay? Sources, So I post it,

(03:08):
and I got a DM from anindividual who had no influence on me
taking it down. The player tookit down, so I took it down.
It had been up for four orfive hours, so I figured it's
run its course. You know,it's unfortunate if true. I didn't say
anything definitively when I posted it,but I just want to say that we
If you're going to try to intimidateme, don't bother because I've been intimidated

(03:30):
or attempted to be intimidated by alot worse. And if this individual ever
messages me again, it better bean apology for the horrible way that they
treated me while I was with theCIF and the Beef. Because this person's
an asshole by all accounts, andI don't ever want to hear from him
again. So you tried, youfailed, But it's all right. The

(03:50):
post is down, it's whatever. We're moving on. I don't care.
So I just want to clarify thatit's never because I think that it was
wrong or anything. It was justit had run its course, so we
moved on from it. You know, That's what you do sometimes, Malcolm.
That brings us to the fun portionof the episode. Do you have
like a good, bad, anda funny? I don't really have any
of the three, so I don'tknow if you were able to come up.

(04:13):
There was no pressure if you didn'thave any. But did you have
a good, bad and funny fromthe weekend? I did? And you
know, funny is a relative term. You know. I find a lot
of a lot of morbid and crazystuff funny, but I try to keep
it lighting this week, you know, for good man, how about what's
the guy named Garrett Kittle from Arizona? Man? Uh? Yeah, No,

(04:38):
Lorenzo Brown ended up getting to startthis week. You know, as
anybody who's watching could attest to thisas an athlete, you know, if
you're if you're working hard at aposition in the guy your competition gets to
start. It's very demoralized and kindof puts you in a place where you're
like feeling sorry for yourself and alltypes of stuff. You could take it

(04:58):
one of two ways, like Isaid, One you can feel sorry for
yourself. For two, you cankeep moving and find another position. That's
exactly what he did. He endedup going to wide receiver called a touchdown
pass. Had a bunch of differentreceptions. The guy can play ball man.
That was impressive to see. Man, he's like really the epitome of
just what the game is supposed toembody for real, Like, you know,

(05:21):
a lot of guys in his positionwould have simply, you know,
been down theirselves, probably look fora different team to go to. But
the man just kept moving. Manplayed a different position and they did very
well. So it was very impressiveto see. I like to let for
the bad take it on a littlemore somber note. We all know Nate

(05:42):
Robinson, former NBA player, slamdunk champion everything. He revealed not well
a couple of years back that hehad kidney disease and just recently came back
out and said, if he doesn'tget a kidney transplant pretty soon, it
could be So he went on tosay how even when he was in the

(06:04):
NBA, you know a lot oftimes the team physicians would recommend that he
not play a certain like a numberof games or whatever the case is because
his blood pressure was super high.Yeah. Uh, he just asked the
team doctors to stop doing his bloodpressure at one point so that he can
be cleared to play. And itjust reminded me how a lot of US

(06:25):
athletes kind of at times think we'reinvincible. You know. It's it's kind
of like almost like a god complex. We feel like we're bigger than the
average human, you know, butit just goes to show that we're mortals
to you know, and and healthis first, you know, that is
a life after being an athlete. You're out of sports way longer than your

(06:48):
athlete, so it's important to takecare of yourself and just remember that,
uh, you know, sports isn'teverything. It's fun and it's like where
our heart lives for the time being, but you can put yourself in a
position where you know you're you're strugglingwith everyday life after sports, you know,

(07:09):
it's it's just kind of sad tosee and I'm definitely hoping he makes
a good like a full recovery onceyou know, he gets the kidney transplant.
But on a lighter note, thefunny the Red Sox Boston Red Sox
had their Patriot Day game this pastMonday, and as we all know,
they usually have a celebrity through thefirst inaugural pitch. Yeah, they brought

(07:32):
up Rob Gronkowski. You know, anything surround the Rob Gronkowski is usually nonsense,
something goofy. The guy in traditionalRob Gronkowski fashion fashion spiked the first
pitch, and you know, itwas just hilarious. The crowd was going

(07:54):
crazy, and I'm just glad tosee that baseball in Boston as a whole,
being such a big baseball city asthey are, they just had fun
with stuff like that. Man.You know, it's like I said,
the Patriot Day tradition is is hugefor them as big it represents with the
Boston culture is about. And it'sgood to see that they don't take it

(08:16):
too seriously and they're able to havefun and just you know, joke around
with stuff like that. So Ifound that kind of funny and cool.
Yeah, that's good. Man.No, Gronk does what Gronk does.
It's it's inevitable, it's unavoidable. But man, no, those were those
were three good ones. I meanas far as good, bad and the

(08:37):
funny. But I thought, maybeyou're gonna say, like the Holloway knockout,
that was my That was good andthat was bad. It's like funny
all the same time because he rocked. That was so good. But I
guess my good if I'm gonna doone, my good is there's been a
lot of talk lately about giving peopletheir flowers. You know, if I
could physically do that here, Iwould because after two years away. And

(09:01):
for those of you that don't knowthe history of the show, it did
not start out as the fan show. It was actually the Butt Fumble Podcast
because I wanted it to be homageto that amazing play in football history,
but also a name that said thisis what we talk about, but please
don't take us seriously. And Ihad a co host for about five episodes,

(09:24):
but things kept coming up, lifekept getting in the way. I
was getting more invested in this andhe was just kind of along for the
ride, and so finally ripped theband aid off, and I said,
I can't trust anyone else to dothis except for me. So it became
a lot on me and my shoulders, and I would have guests and try
to share the load with whoever wouldcome on the show, but ultimately success

(09:48):
or fail. I wanted it tocome down to me because this was what
I was pouring money into and timeand energy. Well, since the return
after a two year break, thecomments and reaction that I have gotten to
Malcolm being part of the show hasbeen amazing. People that have either been
on the show or have watched theshow the whole time have said that he

(10:11):
is a breath of fresh air. It's great to see somebody else in the
box with you. It's a greatbalance, it's fantastic banter. Marshall was
really impressed after he got off theepisode with us and watched it back,
said Malcolm is a great addition. So five episodes in, I am ready
to give Malcolm his flowers and promotehim from just guiding the box to official

(10:33):
co host of the show. Andso Malcolm, thank you sir. You
look great, sound great, Everythingyou do is great and the people love
you. Man and man I'm gladto hear that. Brother, I'm really
glad to hear that. I didn'tknow I was getting such a positive reception
from the people. Man, youknow, this is my first time actually
doing something like this and to thisextent, so I mean, it's good

(10:56):
to know that people are, like, add my biggest thing. I didn't
want to mess up something that you'vealready had going on. So that's cool.
Man, that's cool to hear.Man like, I think it was
like the dynamic duo man like theBatman and Robin. No, of course
that Batman. Well, no,no, it's cool. But I appreciate
that, I really do. Yeah, Malcolm, I didn't know if he

(11:20):
was going to be on past thefirst episode back, but I kept the
invite kind of running, and everytime he's been back, it's been more
fun. We've had a continual bannerthat's or banter that's gone back and forth,
which has been something that I've alwayswanted for the show, but it's
always been missing. I mean, sometimes I'll have guests on who keep up
with every episode, or we justwe check in with each other, you

(11:41):
know, once or twice a weekor maybe once a month. Yeah,
but yes, Malcolm has been abreath of fresh air, something that I
have always wanted for the show eversince my first co host, but never
been brave enough to kind of takethat that dive into the deep end,
to be like all right, Buthe's proven that he can be a repeat
defender, come back again and againand again, whether he's invited or not.

(12:03):
And I just think he's really beena great addition here to the show.
So, Malcolm your new fan showco host, and I couldn't be
happier because I think he brings alot to the table. There's a reason
why I asked you to be onthis with me. Initially, Man,
so awesome. That's cool, man, that's cool. Like I said,
Rich, I appreciated a lot.Man. See, I wasn't. I

(12:24):
wasn't one hundred percent shore while youasked me. Initially, I was thinking
that it was a it was aprank, you know, I'm playing.
But yeah, like I said,it's really cool, man. I appreciate
you, appreciate the fans, appreciateeverybody who gave you feedback, and you
know I'm here to stay in Ohyeah, I'm looking forward to a lot

(12:45):
more fun. Awesome. Oh andthat will bring us to our back and
our funny Oh Patrick Barrett akahhat tochoose? Oh man, Patrick Barron of
Tulsa Oilers. How you doing,my man? I'm doing well. You

(13:05):
know, a little sore, longbust ride back from Sioux Falls, but
you know, it's always better feelingcoming back to win, but doing good.
I love that that game was awesome. Some people know why. To
me, it was awesome. AndI've never one to really try and take
sides or be biased, but soanyway, I've been trying to get pat

(13:31):
On here. I wanted Montero andHawk obviously Jones. I don't know where
they all are. You guys havea much deserved day off. But Malcolm,
like I said, dude, thiscould have been a lot worse for
you. But you picked against Tulsanot once, but twice. Dude,
we have ties to this team becauseyou were on a team with some of
the guys on this team, andI felt hurt every time. You're just

(13:54):
like, I don't think Tulsa's goingto do it. So Patrick, ignore
the fact that he picked you guysto beat the stormless last week. Okay,
this dude against you twice, allright? So now's the time,
Malcolm, you're going to apologize toPat and every other member former Beef now
Tulsa oiler for doubting then ever,And see, the thing is, when

(14:20):
I picked against y'all the first time, Pet, I knew this was coming.
I knew it was coming at somepoint. I mean, hey,
as much as ther Man, firstoff, Pet Man, what's going on?
Brother? As my former teammate, man guy who's still doing at a
high level. Bro, It's goodto see you, man, and I'm
loving with y'all doing out there.Bro. Appreciate it man for sure,
Man for sure. But like said, much deserved brother, I'm sorry for

(14:45):
picking against y'all. You know,it's hard. It's hard to not get
I guess last year's tasted out ofmy mouth. As far as the Tosa
oilers, I mean, I knowit was still like coming around like you
know, it's growing pains. Youknow we will move to a differently so
or you you come in as anexpansion team, sold I say so.
I mean, you know I shouldn'thave judged based off of that because clearly

(15:09):
you know what I'm saying. Jona'sknow what he's doing over there. He
had to write the guys and broughtin some new his But yeah, doing
your thing, bro, and I'mglad to see it. Man. Appreciate
it, man, all right,So that that was Malcolm's punishment. He
had to apologize to you. Guyswere picking against you. I wanted there
to be everybody here. But it'shard enough to get three people on a

(15:31):
zoom call at once, let alonefive or six. They're all asleep too,
I promise you we're talking well,Pat, I'll ask you as a
guy who's in the trenches, youknow every game. Obviously, it's no
easy feat to be an expansion team, the new kids on the block.
And last year we saw what coachJones was able to do. I mean,
he stuck with it and then hereally turned that team around. It

(15:54):
was a team that people did notwant to have to play final stretch of
the season. And then now youguys are two and one, you are
one of the top eight teams inthe League of sixteen. Got to feel
pretty good right now in your eyes, Like what's been the I guess the
difference maker is cliches that sounds, but like, why why are this year's

(16:15):
Oilers better and a force to bereckoned with Yeah, I really just think
we've found that core group of guys. You know, your first year is
an expansion team. Everyone's new, everyone's getting to know everybody. That's why,
you know, he brought some guysin from Omaha to kind of start
a corps. But I feel likewe've really set a core group of talent
and kind of culture, guys whokind of hold a specific standard for our

(16:36):
team week in and week out.And that's kind of what we've now starting
to build around and build up on. Yeah, your guys' quarterback, which
I think as we look around theleague and what's working for the teams with
a winning record and what's not workingfor teams with a losing one, it
starts and ends with the quarterback. And Malcolm and I are going to talk
about that when we do our Weekfive recap. But you're guys, is
guy at quarterback Daniel Smith into twentysix one hundred and sixty nine yards,

(17:02):
five tds through the air and onerushing, And of course we saw in
Montero he's been a big part ofthat offense. Hawk's been a big part
of the defense. But your guys'sdefense Jordan Jones eight solo tackles and that
is just insane for a guy tohave that many. And there was four
players on the defense that had fivetackles as well, So clearly defense doing

(17:23):
what coach Jones defense does, whichis step up in big moments. I
mean, how do you feel fiveweeks in you guys two in one as
far as the rest of the seasongoes, now that we're going to start
to separate the real contenders from guysthat are just kind of still feeling it
out and getting it together. Yeah, I think we feel we just got
to you know, keep building, try and get better every week, you

(17:45):
know, come to practice with purposeand just you know, start stacking start
stacking wins together. That's that's thekey to all of this is just kind
of going on a run and justnot getting the place at any point,
Malcolm, Any questions for Cheta CheesePatrick of the Oilers, Yeah, for
sure, man, Pat if ifI know you like I think I do

(18:06):
from back when we were at Omall, You're like, you're you're more of
a show improved guy. You don'treally talk that much, but being one
of like the core gays from uh, you know, last year's team one
of the guys whom Jones chose tocan't come in from the Omahall team.
Uh, you're obviously a leader onthat team. How has that been for

(18:29):
you? Like, what's what's yourleadership styles so that say like are you
are you a raw rock guy orare you more so still in that role
of you know, I can showyou better than I can tell you.
I'm probably a little more of araw rock guy. Now. I'm someone
where I'm trying to get I wantto get guys going, especially like you
know, like say something happens, you know, when we give up a

(18:51):
touchdown, for say I'm with theoffensive media, Hey, let's go,
like, let's go, let's lockin, let's go get us get ourselves
a touchdown right now, let's geton the score. I'm just trying to
help you guys get focused and reallybring that energy come game time. That's
awesome, bro. I love havingPat here. So Pat, as far
as you know, obviously I knowcoach Jones, Malcolm does, and you

(19:11):
guys have been with him now fora full season two and one record.
Got a big win against the teamthat even though this may not be their
best season, you know, ever, it's still a team that everybody kind
of if they have them on theirschedule, it's like that's that's a team
that you have to beat in thisleague in order to establish yourself. So
how did it feel you go froma big home opener, your guys's crowds

(19:33):
have always been great, and thenyou go on the road hoping to duplicate
that same success against the team thathonestly like they're probably pissed off at this
point and they're wanting to come outand get a win, especially in front
of their home crowd. I mean, what's the energy been like? And
how has Jones kept you guys focused? Energy has been great. I think
it's just been like very very focusedat the task at hand. You know,
we know, we know we havea good group of guys, a

(19:56):
good core group of guys and alot of talent on this team. And
we knew we know SWO falls nomatter what their record says, they're always
going to put good product on thefield. They always have some dudes out
there, They've always got some players, they've got good coaches who know the
game well, and so we knewwe had to play clean football, no
stupid penalties and just execute at theend of the day. That was really

(20:18):
just kind of the point that CoachJones made all week is just stay focused
and just basically, don't do anythingdumb, don't play outside your means,
do your one eighth and we'll getthe win. I can hear Jones's voice,
don't be stupid. Just don't bedumb, don't be stupid. I
love Jones, I miss him.I miss the hell out of you guys
too. But man, awesome job, awesome start to the season. I'm

(20:41):
glad we were able to get youon here for a minute. I know
that we're going to talk more withone of you guys later on. We've
gotten a little bit of a fullboat on this episode. But always great
to have you stop by. Isaw the hat reel today on Instagram,
that gray with the yellow trucker style. Holy crap. I need to have
that to my collection. That thingis sharp. Malcolm doesn't get anything because

(21:03):
Malcolm, no, no, no, Malcolm's got to earn his way into
oiler's swag. All right, Butwe got to get some up here,
all right. Well. That isPatrick Barrett aka Chetta Cheese, offensive lineman
for the Tulsa Oilers two and one, thank you so much for stopping by.
Man, go enjoy the rest ofyour night off. You guys earned
it, I think, Man,thank you for having me. Man Malcolm

(21:27):
getting off so easy with his punishmentone oiler to apologize to, but he's
going to relay that to everybody else, Hawk, Montero, Jones. But
they they deserve a day off.And I thank Pat for stopping by.
But man, he's he've gotten offso easy on these punishments. I was

(21:48):
about to say the worst person thatprobably apologize would have been Joe was for
real, because you know Jones islike a player or like a player in
a in a coaches body. Youknow he's he would have let me ad,
but I know he would have. But they deserve it. And like
you said, I'm sure they're sleepingright now, they deserve every bit of

(22:08):
rest they getting all right, Bigthanks again, Pat, Barrett Chatta Cheese
for those of you that don't know, he's a Wisconsin boy, born and
bred. I've always called him ChettaCheese. It's a sign of love and
endearment. But anyway, great tohave him on here. We'll have more
from the oilers a little later on. But two and one start, not
bad. So that'll bring us toour week five recap, and Malcolm,

(22:33):
we've had some storylines through the firstfive weeks. There was, you know,
the offenses finding rhythm quarterbacks like whoelse is going to be the starter
for them? And then how manychances do you give those starting quarterbacks?
Last week it was the defense. This week it was the tale of the
backup quarterback. Man. I mean, we'll start Friday night. We had
Iowa now on to three. Thatwas twenty nine against mass Who's now four

(22:59):
and oh fifty four is your finalscore there? Twenty nine to fifty four.
So another just not good outing forIowa. I feel for them,
I really do. It's been nota fun start to the season. Peterson
got benched in favor of Kyle King. I don't know what I always got
to do. They got to dosomething. I did take the time though,
because I released my power rankings againtoday, not a whole lot of

(23:22):
movement. The top five all werein action and they all won, and
so that was good for them. But the bottom five they kind of all
played last week. Not all ofthem played this week except for the storm
and the Barnstormers and the Gunslingers. But you know, you look at what
we have as far as a scheduleso far, and five weeks three games

(23:45):
at most, well, I guessfour at most, but the majority of
teams have played at least three games. And for Iowa, their opponent's records
through five weeks eight and two,the only team that has had a worse
go with their opponents is Jacksonville theSharks. Their opponents combined record is ten

(24:06):
and oh. They haven't played ateam with a loss yet, and that
is that's tough. So I don'tknow what I always got to do.
Maybe they just got to catch abreak in their schedule. But yeah,
so Peterson got benched. But massso they're four and oh, but I
dropped them to three because their strengthof opponent schedule right now is just not

(24:26):
good for them. It's I thinkthey're what what is Massachusetts two and ten?
So that's you know, and agreen Bay accounts for two of those
wins, so that's that's their that'stheir opponent strength of schedule so far.
You you can only play the schedulein front of you. Totally get it
cliche, but it's a true one. But I just I want to see

(24:48):
mass tested really really bad, sohopefully they get that test. The other
Friday game was San Antonio the gunSlingers forty four Vegas the Nighthawks sixty six.
San Antonio drops to zero and three. Vegas though three and zero for
the first time in franchise history.Granted they're a relatively newer team, Props
to them, and with that win, a deuce from Messias at the end

(25:12):
of the game set a new homepoints record at sixty six, So props
to them. I gotta say,Jerome Johnson, he looks like a stud
too right now. Eleven to thirteen, one hundred and sixty yards, four
tds through the air, three onthe ground, including fifty seven rushing yards.
Castronova I feel bad because he wenttwenty seven to thirty seven for two

(25:33):
sixty five, had four tds throughthe air, one on the ground,
but he did get sacked once. But Vegas had seven broken up passes.
So clearly we're starting to see thesedefenses for these teams that have a winning
record, despite how weak their strengthof opponent may have been so far,
defense has still got to get itdone for you, and that defense for

(25:55):
Vegas clearly getting it done so thatwas your Friday Action. Any takeaways that
you noticed that I didn't bring upfor those two games, malk No,
No, you said it perfectly, honestly. I just want to emphasize how
you said the defense is. Theirdefenses around the league are catching fire man.
I just gotta circle back to thatVegas defense. I mentioned a couple

(26:18):
of players on their last week, but a few more players that I didn't
even get their flowers. Gabe McCoy, Man, that boy is tearing it
up on a d line, bro. I think he had a couple sacks,
Oh, I'm sorry, a coupleof kep pressures and uh he was.
He was in on the sack oncashing Nova. Also Calhoun, their
their middle linebacker. He's flying allover the place. Man. They're just

(26:41):
two of uh, two of thegears that are turned on that defense that
are keeping it going. Man Likejust if you watch they just they're running
like chickens with their head cut off. Man. It's just it's it's crazy.
It's it's as a defensive player,it's really cool to see. It's
it's a good going to be playingIFL football right now. Yeah, it

(27:03):
really is. Defenses are going tobe the thing to watch now. I
did notice a trend that you'll kindof see as I get through the rest
of the game as far as whatthe formula for the winning teams seems to
be. And I think it's somethingthat you and Corey Roberson and Marshall mentioned
earlier on in this season. ButSaturday only had the one game quad City
thirty seven Frisco fifty four. SoQuad City drops to one and two two

(27:26):
in a row, now unfortunate forthem. It's life after E. J.
Hilliard and then Frisco. They're threeand zero, but all of their
games so far the season they havebeen at home. I'm not taking anything
away from them, but I dowant to see how they handle a road
contest. Teams are only going toget better. You never stay a bad
team, you know, So teamsare only going to get better. But

(27:47):
on that note, though, despitethem having all their games so far this
season at home, the Frisco Fightersactually have had the toughest schedule of any
of the top five teams, Andpeople are like, well, what do
you mean, how do you knowwhat top five is? Well, because
there's only five undefeated teams, sowhatever order you put him in like it
was top five. I moved themup to number two on my power rankings
because their strength of opponents three andsix, so that's not bad at all.

(28:11):
And they beat Tulsa in ot Tulsalooks like a team that is going
to be a team that you haveto get through in order to either get
a good position in the postseason orget there altogether. So Frisco they're running
pretty hot right now. Jud Ericsongot benched for one series for Mike Irwin.
I'm not really sure what was goingon there. There was some comments

(28:33):
from the commentary saying that it waslike an earn it game, and I
don't know, maybe it lit afire under Ericson because he went out.
He performed pretty well for the restof the game. But Edwards man eight
to ten through the air, onehundred and twenty five yards two tds.
He did take three sacks, soQuad City's defense stepped up big time.
But he had thirteen rushing attempts forseventy yards and four tds on the ground,

(28:57):
so it's more of that Lamar JacksonMVP style we were seeing from Edwards.
Dude, the guy can play. And then Sunday started off with Tulsa
the Oilers fifty six who fall Stormforty. So Tulsa two and one,
the Storm zero to three for thefirst time in franchise history. And trust

(29:18):
me, I know a lot ofStorm fans that has been a tough reality
to swallow. Like w it's crazy. Daniel Smith, who we mentioned earlier
eighteen to twenty six one hundred andsixty nine yards five tds one rushing TD.
Hall was nine of fourteen for seventysix yards in a single TD.
But their defense for Tulsa is gettingit done. Jordan Jones eight solo tackles

(29:44):
and then the next four players hadfive tackles each, which is insane.
So like Malcolm, they're clicking dude, man, man like, yeah it
is. You couldn't have sat itbetter myself, man. I mean they
laid by the perfect gap for man. Marvin Jones a dynamic coach, a
defensive minded coach. Obviously he playedlineback in the NFL for a number of

(30:10):
years and he knows he knows hisway around the defense. I'll say that
that much. And he brings thatthat hard nose mentality to the team and
clearly they're they're taking it and runningwith it man. So it's a beautiful
thing to see. Then we hadSan Diego the Strikeforce fifty five Arizona forty

(30:33):
five. This was the one gamethat we were different on me and Malcolm
for this pick. And what's crazyis that I said, if Dalton Snead
started that, you know, theRattlers had to have this one. He
did not. It was Lorenzo Brownagain, So I guess they need a
little bit more time before Snead comesback. But I said, I wasn't
really necessarily concerned with that because whatthe Rattlers do so well is they shut

(30:55):
down great quarterbacks on the opposing side. And this time it wasn't even Nate
Davis that they had to worry about. He got hurt, believe a rib
injury on a tackle into the wall, and so enter what was his name,
Rudy Johnson. Rudy Johnson gets inthere and this was crazy. He
went four of seven for eighty sixyards and two touchdowns. But they got

(31:18):
it done on the ground. Theirground game was really good in this one.
And that's I think something that isif you can capture that an indoor
ball, do it, because it'snot easy and I'm not talking about like
quarterback options like we saw with TJ. Edwards. I'm saying if you have
a legitimate ground game, use it, because that is not something you see

(31:40):
often in the indoor world. ButBrown, Lorenzo Brown went twenty to thirty
eight for one hundred and ninety eightyards. He had four tds, two
interceptions, and a sack, sokind of a long day for him.
But I don't know, man, this Arizona team dropped three straight. I
thought the world was going to stopturning when that score went final. Holy
crap. That is not something thatwe're used to seeing. So Arizona drops

(32:04):
in my power rankings too there,I think number eleven. But let's see
what else we've got san Diego. On that note before we move on to
the next game. Williams six tacklesand that defense had six broken up passes.
So defense, the secondary, especiallygetting it done, Malcolm, that's
something to pay attention to. Sothat brings us to the last one.

(32:25):
Bay Area. You're reigning defending undisputedchamps of the indoor world forty four,
Tucson thirty one. So bay Areaimproves the three and zero Tucson drops to
one and two. Felix Harper entersthe game to kwan Neil, who got
hurt as well. For how long, how severe? I don't know.
You listen to the commentary hoping they'regoing to have a report for you and

(32:49):
they don't, so you're just like, okay, Well, he was still
cheering guys on from the bench,so I don't think it's that severe.
But still props to Bay Area forhaving to put in an other guy and
getting it done. He went eightfor eleven. Mitchell had a really good
day ten to twenty one, onehundred and seventeen yards, three touchdowns and
interception, but he was sacked fourtimes, so it's hard to make plays

(33:15):
and move down the field when you'reon your back that many times against a
great defensive Bay Area Antwine Kinkaid ofthe Panthers eight tackles and four assists.
This dude was just out of hismind defensively and causing a lot of that
pain and misfortune for Mitchell. Butstill Mitchell looking good as a rookie.

(33:36):
We hope to kwan Neil's not outfor too long. So there's a couple
of teams with perfect records right nowthat I don't know how long their backup
is going to be in Malcolm Weekfive, the tail of the backup quarterback,
some by choice and some by circumstance. What was your takeaway from the
action, and you know, whatdo you think is going to happen now

(33:57):
to some of these teams depending onhow long their star guys out for?
Man? Well, like I saidin the first segment, the good Bed
and the Funny, Uh, youknow, football is a game. It's
it's the kind of game where yougotta keep moving. Man. You you
go through adversity, you you runthe obstacles, but it's a train that

(34:17):
keeps moving. And no one gotstopped that train, you know. So
I would say it's hard to sayit was gonna come with some of these
teams. But I do know,uh that the silver lining in some of
these injuries and you know, benchingsand stuff like that, it's just that
you're getting to see a lot moretalent than you, uh than you initially

(34:39):
expected. You know, I did. I definitely didn't expect Felix Harper to
come in, and uh, youknow, the game really didn't start taking
off, or the bit the Panthersdidn't really start taking off until he came
in a game man, and theyseem almost like the entirely different offense that
was your Week five action did notdisappoint. Hopefully any injuries not serious ones,

(35:00):
and that we see guys like NateDavis and of course to Kwan Neil
back real soon because that's that's yourstar power in the league right now.
And I think though the defenses arereally starting to show up and shut it
down. But the biggest takeaway thatI had, other than the defenses that
I said we would circle back to, was that dual threat at quarterback and

(35:21):
I guess establishing any kind of rungame because the teams that won, the
teams that went and did it didit on the ground, not through the
air. And the teams that triedto get it done through the air,
those defenses stepped up and like Isaid, there were six broken up passes
seven for another team, I meanthey were it was no fly zone,
all right, folks. It isthat special time of the episode where we

(35:43):
break down the upcoming week's action andof course make our predictions. And to
help us this time, it's oneof our favorite kickers ever. He needs
no introduction, but probably got oneof the best legs you'll ever see.
It is Craig the Leg Peterson ofBay Area. Craig, Welcome, how
you doing man, good Man,good good, good to be on here.
Thanks for having me. I appreciateit, man, seriously, Yeah,

(36:06):
you guys, Before we get toour picks, let's talk about the
Panthers. You guys off to athree and oh start, have had a
pretty tough schedule out the gate, not just with your opponents but the travel.
You guys went and visited Jacksonville thefirst time that they've had a home
game. But you guys, man, this is a team reigning defending champions
right now, who lost their championshipMVP to one of their rivals. But

(36:30):
if you're gonna get any replacement forthat caliber of player, to Kwan,
Neil is definitely like top choice asfar as the guy to help lead you.
So, I mean, just howmuch does it feel I guess similar
to kind of how you guys weregoing last year on a championship run.
And then what's what's different as faras what feels better? I guess.

(36:52):
I mean it's about leadership, youknow. When it comes to the quarterback
position. Dakwan is definitely a leader, you know, really, you know,
I mean look at his body ofwork. You know, he was
I believe twenty eighteen or twenty nineteen, you know, Offensive Player of the
Year MVP of the League was oneof the two. But he's you know,
just a solid quarterback for us.And then you know what, obviously

(37:13):
last year with Dalton Steen, youknow we had an MVP caliber quarterback.
Now he didn't get that, butI think everyone knew that he should have
gotten it. So with that beingsaid, it's just, you know,
it's a matter of what kind ofquarterback that you have and what kind of
leader he is on all certain levels, and you know, someone that can
throw the quarterback as well as runit. So you know, that's that's
one of those things where you know, if you have somebody like that,

(37:37):
and then as well, having anoffensive coordinator like Dixie Wooten in there that
that can take care and take chargeof that offense to call the right plays,
you know, it's a recipe forsuccess. And clearly having depth at
that position, we saw Felix Harperhad to step in. Can you comment
on the severity of what happened withTakwan? Is he hurt. Is it
bad? Do you know how longhe'll be out for? Are you able

(37:59):
to give us any insight on that? I just wanted to. I just
wanted to show you, guys thatthe champs. I don't want to.
I don't want to leave that out, you know what I mean? No,
So listen, it just shows youhow versatile our offense is. You
know, we can have the kwanNel in there, we can have Felix
Harper in there, and just showyou we could put points on the board

(38:21):
regardless. Everyone's fine. You know, we're just you know, looking at
certain things and then that's really it. We're just uh, you know,
opening up the playbook a little bitand then seeing what we have as a
as a backup. And obviously weshowed you we were able to put up
uh you know, was it fortyfour points on a Tucson defense and also
only allow a Tucson offense ten pointsin three quarters? I think that says

(38:44):
a lot for our defense. Ithink that says a lot about how versatile
our offense is. Yeah, yourguys's defense, Speaking of which, we've
been giving praise to the defense thelast couple of weeks because they've really started
to shine all over the league.I mean, it's it's been the case
of these teams that are either haveperfect records or are in the wind call
of more than the last calm youguys, an twine Ken kid. Eight

(39:06):
tackles and four assisted tackles. Dude'sa beast man. Yeah, he's a
hard hitter too. You know,I'm one who likes to hit people hard
as well, but David is definitelyit's definitely a hard hitter man. I
mean, every time I see himmake a tackle, it almost feels like
he's smacking someone. You can hearit from across the field. So he
is definitely a force to be reckonedwith for sure. All Right, Malcolm,

(39:30):
my newly promoted co host, anyquestions for Craig the leg before I
get to my last one. You'reone of the guys who has has had
a pretty extensive body of work, and you know, you're pretty consistent across
your career. So, I mean, that's cool to see. And just
this past weekend you earned I gota newfound respect for you. I saw

(39:52):
you getting a little scrappy out there. He made a tackle and you know
you're getting into it a little bitbut I always I always love love to
see kickers getting into it and gettinga little a little tough. Man.
It's cool to see as a defensiveplayer. I appreciate that, man,
I appreciate it. So uh yeah, the first tackle, yeah, I
wasn't gonna let that. I wasn'tgonna let that slide. He wasn't he

(40:12):
wasn't getting And then the other one, the second tackle. The kickoff that
was probably that wasn't one of mybetter kickoffs, but it was just weird
how it all transpired because when hewent across the boards, I could see
him kind of touch the boards,so I was like, what am I
gonna do? But there was nowhistle. So since there was no whistle,

(40:34):
I kept playing and then I grabbedhim by his pads. I swung
him around. Still no whistle,so I was like, okay, So
then I just threw him down onthe ground, and then finally the whistle
came with a flag and you know, I got it on sportsman like conduct
penalty, but whatever, you know, it is what it is. His
teammates weren't too heavy about that.I'm fine, you know. It always

(40:57):
gets a little bit chippy when thingslike that. Happened, but nothing I
haven't seen or been involved with before. So it's just it's fun. Man.
I love this game, you know, it's it's always fun. And
I mean, like you said,Bro, I can attest to that as
like I said, as a defensiveplayer, man, we always saw playing
through the whistle. So I mean, hey, I commend you one hundred
percent on that. My question toyou is, though, so as the

(41:20):
reign and champs of the league, you know, Bay Area, how much
more pressure is it, you know, making field goals and stuff with that
added, I guess burden of tryingto uphold the the that that championship caliber,
if you will, Is it isit any different prepar like preparation wise

(41:42):
or not? You know, onmy end, it really is it.
You know, every year I think, you know, it's three champions or
three championships in a row for me, four in the last five years.
And I've literally taken no game differently, you know, And I think as
soon as I do is when Imight start to fall apart. But every
game is the same, you know. My preparation is the same, and

(42:04):
every you know, every way Igo about taking each kick is the same,
whether it's a championship game or it'sthe third game of the season.
I'm going to hit the ball thesame way. I'm not going to add
pressure to myself. It's just anothergame. Yeah. Successful is like putting
it lightly. Craig I'll never understandhow he hasn't gotten with an NFL team
with how I mean like four championshipsin four different leagues or something and the

(42:30):
three peat, you know, backto back to back. But I think
the biggest question for me. Weactually talked about it last episode with Corey
Roberson of The Blizzard when we previewedyour guys' game against Tucson. He said
it himself. You know you've gotwith Tucson Billy Beck and Kaiser, both
have been head coaches and been successfulat the highest point, winning championships.
And then you got you guys withRob Keef and Dixie Wooten, who have

(42:52):
both been head coaches and had successat the highest point winning championships. It's
like cheek coats for these two squads. But you guys, you're doing your
run it back campaign right now lookingto defend and successfully win back to back
championships. How does it work withthose two Because I mean from the outside

(43:12):
looking in. I know Dixie,I know he's a character, he's a
personality. But how is there notlike too much ego in the room?
And how are you guys so successfulwith two very capable coaches as a coach
and a coordinator. Yeah, that'sactually a great question, Rich because people
would think that there is a lotof ego in the room. You know,
you're dealing with two obviously head coachesby far, and it's it's actually

(43:35):
really interesting to see as a playerand have these two coaches and it's almost
like there are two head coaches, right. You know, we have the
offensive coordinator, we have the defensivecoordinator, and it's really interesting to be
a part of and see and they'rejust like two co head coaches that can
adapt to everything you know that's possibleduring the season. And I got to

(43:57):
see it a little bit last year, you know, when I when I
came on with Bay Area at theend of the season, and now obviously
just right back into it this year. Now, yeah, we do have
a head coach, but it literallythe egos are out of the room,
and it's it's just a it's avery it's you know, I feel very
privileged, honestly to be able tobe a part of this where you have
two head coaches and during practice, you know, you see him, you

(44:21):
see them go at it. Theycompete at a very high level. And
then obviously, now when you blendthat together and you put that product on
the field, you're kind of seeinghow the how those things, how they
interact, right, how our defenseplates, how our offense plates, because
we're playing against each other in practiceevery day, so you know, the
coaches are always going at it too, you know, offense, offense versus

(44:43):
defense, and it's just it's it'svery, like I said, very blessed,
very privitsed, privileged to see youknow, how that works and how
they do it at such a highlevel and all the ego is out of
the room, and it's literally justlike having two head coaches, you know,
it's it's it's a it's amazing towatch, it really is, and
to be a part of it isthat much better. And I think that's

(45:06):
why we have so much success,is just having that kind of talent as
a coaching staff, right, Yeah, I mean it's it's something to take
note of for sure, because youguys, it's one thing to lose alignment
or a dB or maybe even areceiver running back and and not miss a
beat coming into the next season becausethe rest of your guys, including your
signal caller, are the same. You guys, actually, you know,

(45:29):
lose your championship MVP to Arrival, like we mentioned, and you haven't lost
a beat at all. I mean, they're a dynamic duo Keif and Wooten,
and it's something that the league reallyshould take notice of because clearly it's
a recipe for success, at leastso far in your guys a season.
You're number one of my power rankings. You guys are the champs. You're
you know, still the champs rightnow. So yeah, and just another

(45:50):
testament to how, you know, how great they are as coaches together is
the preparation. You know, weare always prepared for every single game,
you know, whether whether it's youknow, what we do in practice,
what we do on off the field, on film, in our meetings.
They both truly keep us prepared eachand every day for every game. And
it's just like I said, it'sa testament to how great their coaching skills
are. All right, So let'sgo ahead and take a look at the

(46:15):
week ahead with our Week six breakdownand our pick them. Between me and
Malcolm, Craig will offer his insightfor the two teams, what he likes
about them and maybe what even thedifference maker could be. And that brings
us to a rare Thursday game.Week six starts off the day early.
We get a Thursday matchup between theone and two Tucson Sugar Skulls, who

(46:36):
Craig knows very well as far asthe former coach that he's had, but
also they just got done playing themand they go into San Antonio to take
on the zero to three Gunslinger. So, Craig, what do you like
about these two squads where that's thedifference? I mean, San Antonio is
gonna be hungry, man. They'rehungry for a win. You know they
need that and you know going forwardas a new league obviously, and you

(46:58):
know they're one of the new teamsin this league, and I think they're
going to be hungry for a win. You know, it's hard to go
against a Billy backed team in thiskind of situation, but you know it
should be a very interesting game, that's for sure, I think as well.
But I will defer it to myco host, mister Malcolm McCoy because
he won our pick him last week. So sir, you get the first

(47:20):
pick this week. Let's see whoyou're going with. Well, how can
of be rich? I'll take that. No, man, this is this
is a pretty tough one because, you know, like Craig said to San
Antonio, I'm sure they're they're itchingfor a win at this point. Uh,
they have the talent to do it, man, but uh, they

(47:40):
just haven't been able to pull oneout just yet. It's hard to say
that they'll, you know, continueto lose, especially with the quarterback like
cash and Nova. You know,I mean, how much more is he
had to do? Like you saidearlier, he had at with two hundred
passing yards. I think like fourtouchdowns. The guys playing good ball,
but fortunately for them, I dothink Tucson is gonna pull this one out.

(48:05):
Yeah, Billy back's pretty good atexposing teams that are unfamiliar to the
game or even rookies altogether. ButI do like Tucson in this one.
Mitchell, he got sacked four timesby Bay Area, had an interception.
If they can keep him upright evenwith a turnover, still he tends to
light it up. I mean,I think if he can stay upright,
then Tucson wins this. But itwill probably be a closer game than I

(48:30):
think a lot of people expect. So we both like Tucson. That'll move
us to the Friday matchup that wehave the Soup Fall Storm zero and three.
They're reeling and they're back on theroad and they will take on a
well rested two and one Green Bay. Blizzard say it again, two and
one Green Bay Blizzard, Craig, what do you like about these squads?
Again? This is going to bean interesting game. You know, Green

(48:52):
Bay is playing well, they're playingat a high level. They got that
they got coach Roverson over there rightkeeping their squad ready, and you know
it should be. It should bean interesting game. It's a Friday game,
right, yes it is. Yeah, yeah, So you know we'll
be watching and you know, kindof interested and intrigued about this matchup,
but we'll see it should be.It should be a good game, you

(49:13):
know, kind of like a Tucsonand San Antonio. You know it's it's
gonna be a tough one, butdefinitely definitely excited to watch this one and
see what kind of you know, how it plays out. Yeah, these
two have a long history together, but this is a new era for the
Soup Fall Storm. Andre Fields thenew head coach. This is the first
time in franchise history that they're owingthree. Unfortunately, I don't think that

(49:34):
they get their first win of theseason on the road against, like I
said, a well rested but reallygood actually Green Bay Blizzard team this year.
We talked with coach Roberson and hewas talking about how, you know,
getting the right guys on the busand getting the wrong ones off,
and that he's got a solid coregroup of guys that are leading this charge.
And I believe him. So I'mgoing to go Green Bay on this

(49:54):
one, Malcolm, how about you? Yeah, definitely right about that.
Rich. I believe go so hardlead too, man. I think he's
got the right group of guys andit showed the past few weeks. So
I'm taking Green Bay as well. You know, Sue falls, I hate
to, you know, sound likea pessimist in there since, but I

(50:16):
don't think they really stand a chance. Man. No disrespect to any of
the athletes they have over there, but Green Bay they seem a little further
along than Sue Falls. At thispoint in the season, we both like
Green Bay to get their third winof the season. Things are gonna get
a little tougher before they get betterfor the Sue Falls storm though, So
that will bring us to our SuperSaturday. We got six games I think

(50:39):
five or six for Saturday. It'scrazy. The first one on the schedule
here, though, is the VegasNighthawks three and zero, undefeated for the
first time, and they're short butyet franchise history, and they will go
on the road to take on Jacksonvilleozho to three and they've already played once
this year Jacksonville. I mean, you felt it was kind of over by

(50:59):
half time, but they hung around. Craig, you've played one of these
teams, But what do you likeabout both of them? I mean,
again, jackson was looking for awin, you know they got They got
a well coached squad, you know, and coach Gibson. You know,
they're they're learning the game just likeSan Antonio is. You know, everyone
can see that. You know, that's that's that's on paper, that's public,
that's you can see these games andwatch them and kind of see how

(51:22):
these teams are doing. But they'rethey're searching for a win, man,
so you know, maybe they canget in that win column. It really
just depends on how they play. And you know how well Vegas travels.
Is it is it in Jacksonville?I believe it is? Yes, all
right, malk What do you thinkare we going to see the first win
for Jacks or is this a Vegas'sgame to lose? Man? I would

(51:44):
say there a two factors that playout in Jacksonville's favor. One, it's
hard to beat a team, soI you know, any level for football,
you know a lot of times afterthe first al, you know the
team they've seen pretty much all thereis to see and they made the necessary
adjustments. And too Jacksonville. I'veplayed in Vista Arena down in jackson when

(52:07):
I was in the NAO last year, and it is a tough place to
play. Their fans a rowdy man, and they will pack the house for
sure. But at the same time, I still don't think they're ready to
face off against a Vegas man.Like we said earlier, Jerome Johnson man
electric dude. Bro, He's justhe's he put on the show early and

(52:30):
I think he's gonna put it ona show this weekend. Yeah, this
one. I know. I mentionedon a previous episode that I thought Owen
three was gonna be the worst thatwe see a Jacksonville Sharks team. But
man, they are staring at hand four and I don't really think I
expected Vegas to one be undefeated, but to look like they're getting better with
each game, and they clearly are. But it will be a tough test
to go on the road play ateam that they've already played just a few

(52:52):
weeks prior. But man, Ijust don't have until I see that spark
from Jacksonville. I'm gonna have togo with Vegas in this one. So
brings us to the four and ohone of the two teams that's played the
most in the season so far,Massachusetts Pirates. They'll go into Quad City
to take on a one and twoback to back losses Quad City Steam Wheelers.

(53:14):
Craig, you know these squads prettywell. What do you like about
them? Yeah? I mean, you know, Quad City has been in
some games, but the Pirates arerocking right now. You know, they've
got their squad ready to play thisgame. And you know, like you
said, they're four and oh ThomasOwens had that really really neat catch man
a really nice catch that was onSports Center, Tom ten. I think
that's awesome for the league. Andyou know, it's just one of those

(53:37):
games where you know, Quad Cityobviously doesn't want to drop to one and
three and the Pirates want to keepit rolling at five and oh, so
we'll see what happens. I'm gonnago Pirates. Even though it's on the
road. This one may surprise somepeople as far as how close it is.
Malcolm, what are you thinking? And if you're watching this game,
it're definitely in store for some bigplays and surprises. But I have to

(53:58):
agree with you. I don't thinkthis is the team that's going to give
mass That. They're definitely going togive them a little run for their money,
But I don't think this is thatultimate test that we've been waiting for
to see if they're truly a championshipcaliber team just yet. All right,
And that brings us to Arizona, the Rattlers reeling and on the road against

(54:20):
Iowa, the Barnstormers, who justhave not looked like they've had any kind
of consistency whatsoever in their first threegames. They're zero and three. It's
painful to watch as somebody who's lovedthis franchise and remembers all the greats that
they had during that twenty eighteen runto the championship. But hey, I
guess good news for Arizona fans isthat they might finally snap their losing streak,

(54:40):
be it on the road. ButI mean, Craig, you know
both of these opponents pretty well. What do you like about each one?
Arizona doesn't want to drop the onefour, you know, especially especially with
how how well the Western Conference is, you know what I mean, you
really are going to start to seeteams separate at this point, and you
know, they don't want to beone of those teams that really get separated.

(55:01):
So you know, again, likeI said, I know I sound
like a broken record, but youknow, there's gonna be a lot of
interesting games this weekend, and thisis going to be another one, and
we're going to see, you know, how how well you know Arizona can
come back, and then we'll alsosee if Iowa can can you know,
stream together a win here. Iwould say they have some bright spots as

(55:23):
well, on both offense and defense. Obviously, and I think a commentator
said that he said it best inthe San Diego versus Arizona game. That
definitely don't quote me on this.I haven't done my research, but I
think that Arizona started off like onein three last year and they went on

(55:45):
like an eight game winning streak. So I think that this weekend could be
the beginning of that, you know, that that comeback stretch, you know,
depending on who they played from thispoint going forward. If I really
hated Arizona, I would pick Iowain this, and I can't. I'm
gonna have to pick Arizona for thesecond week in a row. But I

(56:05):
will say though that if people aregoing to have attitude about it, that
even when I pick Arizona, ifthey lose, it's almost like a win
for me because people just get souppity about it. It's just like it's
not necessary, don't do it.But anyway, so we both like we
both like the Rattlers on the road, maybe the start of turning things around.
So that'll bring us to a rematchearly another one second one this season

(56:30):
so far. We got the FriscoFighters on the road this time to take
on the Tulsa Oilers fresh off backto back wins, including taking down the
Soup Fall Storm. Craig, you'refamiliar with one of these, the other
one was new last year. Butwhat do you like about them? You
know, they draw a really goodcrowd. They really do for being a
new team. I think when Iplayed there with the Rattlers last year at

(56:51):
the beginning of the year, Ithink they had about ten thousand people,
which is, you know, that'sa that's a good crowd. That's a
solid crowd. You know, aslong as they can, you know,
keep doing what they're doing. They'reon a they're on what two game win
streak right now, on two ina row. Yep, see if they
can make it three. Obviously ateam that they're playing is is you know,
very well coached. They're a verygood team. A lot of talent
on there. You know, thiswill be a testament to how good Prisco

(57:14):
is on the road. I thinkthis is a good test for both teams
at this point in the season.See, okay, so are like how
good are we? This is thekind of matchup that I look for every
week between you know, for Piratesand for Strikeforce and all those top tier
teams. But I love this matchup. I will go Oilers because they're in
Tulsa, and I think that it'sif it's a close one, then it

(57:37):
swings in favor of Tulsa this time. So, Malcolm, we've been down
this road before. See, Iwant to go with Sosa. I really
do, I really do what Ifeel like. If I don't go with
with Frisco, We're gonna have matchingtakes all across the board. We have

(57:59):
it. Who would have to notget a fan? Tol's defense is clicking
at the perfect time, man.I know the top of their priority lives
is stopping t J. Edwards,So I think that they'll they'll do the
best they can to contain them.I don't know if stopping him as possible,
but uh, they're gonna do theirbest to try, for sure.

(58:21):
But uh, I gotta go withFrisco on this, man, And I'm
gonna here from the gas. I'mhere from the gas but all but like
I said, I mean, wegotta differ somewhere, man. So yeah,
man, I'm taking I'm taking Frisco. Man, And you just apologize
to him too for picking against themtwice and now you're back to it.
Again, Well, this is anice matchup because the worst anybody is gonna

(58:43):
be after it is five hundred. If Tulsa LUs is there five hundred to
two and two. But if theywin, both teams are three and one.
That's crazy. So this is oneof those good matchups at this point
in the season. So I likeTulsa. Of course, Malcolm gonna go
against Tulsa. Of course it doesn'tlearn this lesson. So that brings us
to, Oh, Craig, wegot a good one here. Another Saturday

(59:05):
matchup. It is the San DiegoStrike Force, coming off three wins against
the raining defending undisputed IFL champions, the Bay Area Panthers, also undefeated.
So we'll skip what you like aboutbay Area because we just talked about it.
What do you like about what SanDiego does? Oh? You know,
I mean they're they're a good team. Yeah, obviously, you know

(59:25):
they they just came off and beatthe Rattlers. They're three and oh for
a reason, you know. Sowe we just have to you know,
prepare and uh, you know, make sure we dive in the film and
see what's going on, look attendencies all that stuff. As any you
know, a team would do.You know, that's just that's pretty basic.
But you know, it's all aboutbeing prepared, and we're going to
make sure that we're prepared for SanDiego this week. So Malk, with

(59:47):
that being said, who do youlike in this one? Remember who our
lovely guest is at this time? Please think of a great game. I
certainly hope Nate Davis does come back. And you know, I was able
to play at Full Go a goodfriend of mine. And it's hard to

(01:00:12):
talk down on San Diego because Iknow so many guys over there, and
I know they will give me ahard time once once we once we air
this episode, but I will saySan Diego does what they do, they
do very well. You know,I'm not gonna say what that is.
I think we all kind of knowat this point where their strong points are.

(01:00:36):
But Bay Area over there, theyyou guys just do a lot more
things well, breag And I thinkthat's how you guys have just been you
know, Trump and these teams sofar. You guys, it's not it's
not just one person or one sideof the ball you have to worry about.
You guys are good in so manyareas and a lot of teams.

(01:00:59):
You can't say that about a lotof teams, and a lot of teams
can't handle that. So I thinkthat you guys are gonna come out with
a debut. Yeah, I gottaagree. This is a classic case of
you have one team that does thingsgood and another team that does things great.
And I think that's the difference isyou have bay Area their season champs,
even with a different quarterback. I'mnot even referring to just the difference

(01:01:22):
between Sneed and Neil, but ifthey have to have their second guy in
there behind Neil, this is gonnabe one of those really good games.
But I do think bay Area hasthe edge. I'm gonna go with Panthers.
So either way, that's gonna beanother nominee for a Game of the
Week that week, and that'll bringus to our Week six finale. Unfortunately,

(01:01:44):
it's not a Frisco in Tulsa ora San Diego and Bay Area.
It's the zero to three Duke CityGladiators taking on the two in one Northern
Arizona Wranglers. So, Craig, you know these two teams very well.
What do you like about each squad? Know? You got a less Moss
coach team over there and NAS andyou know you've got you got Rod at

(01:02:05):
the head of the offense. It'sit's tough man's that's tough the Like I
said, they will be prepared, but Duke City is looking for their first
win. It'll be very interesting tosee what all of these not just Duke
City, but what all these teamsthat are looking for a win do to
try and pull out a win, because it's a game of possessions. Very
well said. And Malcolm, youand I mentioned I think last week that

(01:02:27):
you got to quit picking Duke Cityand I got to quit picking against Northern
Arizona. So are we going tobe in agreement on this one? Like,
what's your thought? I think? So? I think so this is
this is the oldmost perfect matchup, like the add the contest you on one,
But I think we're on the sameeven to come to this match.
Malcolm likes to put his eggs almostall in one basket. Now, after

(01:02:51):
I back to back weeks in thepick him, He's like, I only
gotta if I could just get itdown to one game, just just one
game and let it right on thatokay, chicken ship. So I think
we both like Northern Arizona the Wranglersto go three and one. But that
is your Week six breakdown and prediction, and huge thank you to the man,
Craig the Leg who helped us goover each one of those matchups.

(01:03:14):
So now, Malcolm, oh youdid you so easy with your punishment.
Man, I just want to saythat like you. So now he's got
to pick my punishment because the StrikeForce had to go and beat Arizona for
a rare third consecutive loss. Sohere we are. Here, we are,
Craig, we were ready to Go'shere part of the best part of

(01:03:38):
the great So my first punishment Ihad to scrap it because I was trying
to have an Amazon delivery center youknow, exploded. Yeah, I wouldn't
get here fast enough. So Imean, I just I just had to
go with option be, which Ithink is equally is fun. Craig,

(01:04:00):
did you know that Rich used tobe in the band? I don't think
so much. Okay, okay,I don't think that's public information. Yeah,
yeah, he likes to keep underwrap. Only a select few people
know, but he used to.He was a drummer. So with that
being the case, Rich, Iwant you to first style your hair in

(01:04:23):
the mohawk that you used to wearit as a drummer, and do nothing
heavy, just a just a drumsolo to uh to any song being choice.
And of course you have to postit. You have to post it
on the fan show page. AndI mean, I'll give you grace just
like you did me. You cantake it down when we when we record

(01:04:45):
again. So yeah, I thinkthat's fair. I have a question,
Oh boy, do you still havedrumsticks? I deal, Yeah, yes,
I like how you think, Grig. I like how you think like
you could get you could get ayou know, maybe like a you know,
like like a pail or something andturn it over you know. Okay,

(01:05:09):
yeah, you know that's that veteranmind right there. Yeah. I
like that. Let's let's make itinstead of air dr grab a drumsticks,
Rich and make a make sure drumset you can use, and pants you
can use whatever you need to.But I want to turn over a bucket,

(01:05:30):
Rich, don't forget don't forget themohow. That's the most important part.
Yeah, yeah, definitely the mohogs. So it always like that stylingel
just go to Walmart styling you getthe pace to make sure it stays.
I just want to say how normallyI get very excited when somebody asked for

(01:05:54):
my address because I'm like, oh, Sweg's coming, you know, like
a coach or a player. They'regoing to send me something, you know.
But Malcolm texts you and says, what's your address? You're like,
wait why? So he's like triedto tell me that. I was just
looking at what your neighborhood looked like, and I was like, I'm not
doing anything naked, Like you cango ahead and scrap that right now.
Like there's two churches across the street, there's a bunch of little kids of

(01:06:16):
the play around here, Like we'renot doing nothing naked in my neighborhood.
But within second, but I Ithought maybe he was gonna say you got
to pick a corner and drum formoney. And I was like I could
use the extra cash, but allright, we'll do that. No,

(01:06:42):
but people would feel that bad forme. So it's a tough economy.
You know, you gotta go towork, work the angles you can.
All right, Okay, so mypunishment has been picked. Malcolm got off
super easy. But we always welcomeyour suggestions for the pick your Men,
especially now that Malcolm has been promotedto co host here on episode four hundred

(01:07:03):
and eighty five of the Fan Show. So he's no longer just a head
in the box. He's a guythat can you know, share his thoughts
and opinions, maybe even make somedecisions down the road. But if you
happen to see Craig the leg thisnext week, give him a high five,
a bro hug, because it's notevery day a kicker gets a personal
foul penalty and that deserves a highfive. Got a bro hug. Okay,

(01:07:24):
I don't care who you are, true, I really appreciate you guys
having me on. Thank you RichMalcolm, pleasure as always, and you
know, see what happens this weekend. We'll keep it rolling and it it's
great seeing you guys as usual.Yeah, make sure that you tell Rob
Keeth I said hello. He's welcomeon the show anytime. We would love
to meet him. But you know, give give Dixie some shift for me
because I missed talking to that guy. He's he's always a character. But
