just go all over the place becauseso many things have happened and it's flipped
all over. Yeah, I don't. I don't know that, like I
need to talk that much about certaindivisions and other ones, you know whatever.
Well, really, but as faras news going to be free agency,
we're going to dive, you know, balls deep into that. Football's

of mind everybody's talking about now arethe rules changes. Let's talk about the
hip drop tackle. Okay, sohere's the thing. First of all,
is this flag football? Now?What are we doing? If I was
a defender? How do you tacklea guy? Here's the I have the
specifics of that type of tackle.I get it. It's kind of like

a horse collar without grabbing the horsecollar, right, we're out getting your
hand inside the collar, so Iget that horse. The part that I
don't like about this that will,you know, inevitably ruin a bunch of
games, is you're now reducing normaltackles to a refs speculation on whether or

not it deserves fifteen yards and apenalty. We've had these problems in the
past ten years in the NFL,I mean maybe a little bit longer,
but since these these game changing penaltieshave come in everybody complains about it.
And it's not just the Eagles orthe Cowboys or the forty nine ers or
the Chiefs, right, it's acrossthe league. We see it. It's

all of them, you know.And it will one hundred percent will affect
games, it will, you know. And that's the part I don't like
about it. What are they doingto my game? Well, the move
is defined by the Competition Committee,and you know that means everything. As
a defender unwaiting himself by swiveling,you gotta swivel. If you don't swivel,

it's not a penalty. But ifyou swivel and drop your hips and
or lower body, landing on ortrapping the runner's legs at or below the
knee after you're supposed to control that. I don't know. At full speed
in the NFL, you're you're tryingto tackle, you know, Derrick Henry,

What do you do? You justit's throw yourself at the legs like
safeties do. You don't try towrap up. You just throw yourself at
their legs because as soon as yougrab them and throw your way into the

receiver. You can't better not bleat, breathe on him. Don't touch the
quarterback, quarterback, anybody with thefootball below the shoulders and above the knees.
But you can't hip drop when youif you grab them around the waist.
Now you can't tackle anybody with thefootball. Yeah, good luck trying
to tackle Travis Kelcey. Now,dude, if you're a safety, dude,
it's just nuts man, and listenthat specific tackle. I agree it

could be dangerous, right, Idon't have a problem. The problem is
with how do you define it onthe field in the moment when it's bang
bang right right? If they hada review upstairs for every one of those
tackles that became a penalty, Imight be okay with it. Well,
what they're talking about is maybe it'snot going to get flagged on the field

initially, but there's going to befines, which kind of sucks too.
Whatever, that doesn't matter to meat all. It's rich people finding other
rich people. Like what matters tome is is if it's to affect a
game. If you're telling me itdoesn't affect games, then I don't care.
We'll see. If you're a guymaking twenty five million dollars a year
and they find you, you know, five hundred thousand dollars, you know,

making one point two million and theyfive you find you fifty I'm going to

and they should definitely argue about thatand fight about that, but I don't.
I don't really care about the financialsof the NFL. Yeah, I
find it interesting, you know,when somebody gets paid way too much money
or somebody is super underpaid. Butother than that, like whatever it is,
and if they want to find theirplayers and teams find people and like
whatever, don't fool with the games, don't mess with the game. Do

not give the referees another way toinfluence the outcome. Correct. And by
the way, I feel like theplayers definitely should have grapes. They're gonna
get fined by this, they shouldbe pissed. Oh yeah, right like
that, you know, and theyhave every rate to fight for that like
anyone else that has a job,right because they're the ones ultimately this is
that's the they're the product. Yeahright. A lot of the prominent members

of the NFLPA come out before thethe rule was was voted uh into into
the rule book that they were completelyagainst it, especially defensive players like we've
been saying, like, aren't reallysure what they're supposed to do in certain
situations where you know, they're they'rekind of coming out of a nine degree
angle to the player, like ifthey're trying to stop their momentum, they

have nothing, nothing to do otherthan just cut their legs. So so
they literally tell you don't arm tackle, Well, now what else do you
have? Pull out a taser andzap. If you can't use your body,
you can't use your legs, You'renot to trip anybody. You can't
as your body now, so nowyou have to arm tackle everybody in the

NFL. Will you kidne met theway that you tackle now, which isn't
it kind of goes against the pointof NFL football is if you wrap and
drive, you'll get them to theground, but they're gonna get five extra

NFL network. They'll show a gamefrom like nineteen eighty eight, and you're
like, there would be flags onevery play absolutely, and you know what,

dude, those hits should have beenall thought maybe right, Listen,
concussions are serious and they cause seriousinjuries and like ruined lives and all that
kind of stuff. If you've hadtoo many of them, it's really bad.
Right. You don't want a bunchof people having concussions. And the
whole messed with concussions in the NFLis is a damn disgrace. It really
is. But now we're talking about, oh, let's let's protect everybody's ankles.

get hurt. But it's football.Hey, people say it's a con sport.
It's not a content sport. Dancingis a contact sport. It's a
collision sport. Right. I playedfootball and I dislocated both of my thumbs

what I mean, Like, yeah, I got hurt because I played football.

How did you dislocate your thumbs?It wasn't a football I just wasn't
the guy and I had it wrappedup and both of my thumbs went into

that's just one stupid example of akid playing football. But do people

irony is that I feel like mostof the rule changes that have come in
the past ten years that are thatare related to you can't tackle this way.
You know, you can't hit thequarterback in this this way. Like
all the rules like that that areyou know, talked about as player safety
issues never come from the players.It's always the competition committee and the owners.

Of course they want this. Butas soon as the players are like,
we have a player safety issue wewant addressed. Yeah, like,
don't add another game, don't addanother game, add another a another week,
do a bye week release, Let'snot use turf because we get hurt
more on turf. Crickets don't wantto hear that's not pro. It's not
proven that we can't do. Butas soon as it's like, oh,

hip drop tackle has there's there's beenfive injuries from it this year. Outlawed
immediately. Yeah, it doesn't makeanything, say, well, the only
thing that's going to hurt your youryourself about the new kickoff rules your sensibility.

Kickoffs are going to remain at thethirty five, but the remaining ten

players on the kicking team are goingto line up on the opposing team's forty.
Now, the receiving team lines upwith at least seven players on what
they're calling the setup zone, whichis a five yard area between their own
thirty five and thirty yard lines,with a maximum of two returners lining up
in the landing zone. Okay,after the ball is kicked, the kicker

cannot cross the fifty and the tenkicking team players cannot move into the ball
either hits the ground or a playerin the landing zone, or goes into
the end zone. The receiving teamsplayers in the quote setup zone can also
not move into the kick has hitthe ground or a player in the landing

cycle, which is, if you'renot hearing something directly from a GM,

at this point where you don't knowwhich team leads leaking this information talking about
all this players moving up the charts. So maybe it convinces Washington maybe you

That help is Aaron Rodgers. That'sthe biggest signing that they've had,
and it was last year unfortunately gothurt. Well, yeah, if he
comes back and plays well, they'rean immediate contender, There's no doubt about

seems like the Browns with a bunchof other teams that we've talked about have

Listen. I wanted Fields to cometo the Eagles because, unlike everybody else
in the world, I want thebest player at every possible position, and
he's a fantastic backup quarterback. Ishe a starting quarterback in the NFL?
I don't know, but I thinkwe're going to find out this year because
I don't think Russell Wilson starts everygame. I do not. I think

that Russ is done. He playedreally well the first four games of the
year last year and that he washorrible for the rest of the year.
He's still caught up, you know, the top half of the of the
league. Because of his first fourgames he had like, yeah, he
had like twenty touchdowns that his firstfour or the first month and a half
of the season, something like that. It might have been mid teams,

but it was a lot five game. He not first four games, but
it was first month and a halfor so. He had a bunch of
touchdowns, he had a bunch ofreally good fantasy games, and then the
rest of the year he stunk itup. Even though they started winning,
he was not playing well. Idon't expect he'll play well this season either.

I think he's done. I thinkhe was done in Seattle, and
they knew it. They were smartto get rid of. Yeah. I
mean they jumped off the ship justin time. But yeah, Pittsburgh,
you know, apparently the Eagles werein on Justin Fields. I can't imagine
that they were offering anything worse thanthe Day three pick the Steelers offered.
Don't know the conference, I don'tknow, but don't know, But I'll

tell you right now, We're goingto get to see a little bit more
feels, and I'm excited to seehim in a different system. He is
one of the most athletically talented playersin the NFL. It's not even close.
However, in terms of a quarterback, I don't know how good he
is. If his accuracy was alittle bit better, I just don't know.

I just don't know yet. Iwould have liked to say, well,
because Hurts had that same issue.Yeah, it's true, but Hurts
is a different animal. He's aworkhorse, all that blah blah blah.
So by the way, Hurts tohave a great year either, well,
