(00:02):
It's time for the fantasy football guysdropping loads of fantasy football knowledge all up
in your ear drums. Here theyare lyle Con Keel and Kevin Moore,
the fantasy football guys. That iscorrect, We are the fantasy football guys.
(00:24):
Kevin ale and I don't know ifyou guys agree with this. I
feel like the regular season was overin a blink of an eye, but
the playoffs took forever. Yeah.I kind of get that. You know,
I go through that. I gothrough the every office during every season.
It's like, you know, wewait for the season, we wait
(00:45):
for it, and all of asudden we're in there and it's like week
seven already. I'm like, damn, what happened? We're two months in.
Yeah, but then as soon asthe fantasy season ends, it all
comes screech into a halt and itsticks forever to get through the playoffs.
Yeah, that's true. I mean, it's probably because we're so busy during
the fantasy season and there's really notmuch to do during the playoffs except watch
football, which is fine, it'senjoyable. Yeah, I suppose. I
(01:10):
suppose that's correct. So, soobviously the only thing to talk about here
really for with any necessity is thefact that there was a big game this
last weekend, this last Sunday.Yeah, I was watching golf up until
until the people started showing up here. I was watching the end of the
waste management, So I didn't reallywatch all the pregame stuff. I'm sure
(01:34):
there was a lot of uh,you know, celebrity interactions that sort of
thing, But you know, thesetwo teams, I didn't really give as
ass about, you know, eitherof them, and caring about what happened
pregame, YadA, YadA, YadA. It was all I could do to
muster interest during the four quarters ofthe game itself. I'm sorry, four
plus quarters of the game itself.Right, We had some squares going on.
(01:59):
Love Lyle walked away with fifty ofthe one. I got a goose
egg. Same the wife took awaysome money, though, which was good.
That was good. So she wins, I went kind of allegedly,
Yeah, where work. I thinkif you win, she wins. If
she wins, she wins, that'sprobably more accurate. Yeah, all right,
(02:23):
some some quick housekeeping here. Wehad the uh, we had the
the fantasy brackets, the pigskin challenge. If you will, and Lyle went
ahead and took it down. DidI really Yeah? You got six hundred
and twenty five points, so youwere the clear winner. There were two
second place, three second place teamsin a tie. Uh Chuck s scg
(02:47):
Man and and me. I'll tieit five seventy five. Actually, of
the of the four people in oneslash two, I was the only one
that had a team playing on Sunday. You guys had the Bills and the
Ravens. Well, what's really funnyis that I picked those things and I
literally never looked at it again.Yeah, I mean I only looked at
(03:09):
it to get an eye on whowas leading. But you know, you
can't change once you start, right. I had a vague idea who I
selected, But if I had topick that bracket all over again, it
might have been completely different, right. I just want to say a lot.
You're coming through a little hot buddy. Uh. Yeah, I did
turn you out a discord, butfrom your end, you're coming through a
(03:30):
little hot, deep throat in themica. If you could not, it's
literally away from my face. Isthat better? No, it's more echoey.
But if you could just kind oflike turn down the volume on your
microphone. God, it's not aseasy on this mic. You don't have
a board there. I don't usethe board anymore, sort of calls me
(03:52):
problems. Hold on, Okay, how's that. That's better? And then
I can see you're not over modulatingon your ends. I can turn you
up here and we're all good, cool, cool, perfect. Yeah.
So you know, it was inthe weird situation where I picked the Chiefs
to win last week, but Ihad the forty nine ers to win in
this bracket. If the forty nineers had won, I would have won.
(04:14):
But you know, as it turnsout, I lost. I lost
both of them. Love it.So a couple of a couple of questions
came out of this last game. The game is what it was, you
know, as far as you knowwho won and all that kind of stuff,
and we'll get to who we pickedand all that later. But a
couple of things happened. The firstthing is Travis Kelsey gets pulled off the
field and bumps Andy Reid nearly knockshis wide old ass over and then he's
(04:39):
in his grill like rah, andyeah, nobody's really said anything about it.
AJ Brown said, if that wasme. I'd be kicked out of
the league. He might not bewrong, here's the thing, totally totally
out of line, like way outof live and you can't, uh,
(05:00):
you can't really tolerate that type ofbehavior. So, like, will he
have any repercussions? Probably not becausehe's one of the NFL's biggest stars,
but there should be. Yeah,I mean, you know, you it
doesn't matter you know how old theguy is or you know whatever. You
you go in and kind of throwa hip check at your your coach and
scream in his ear. Well,I don't know if you guys remember this.
(05:21):
There was a commercial on I don'tknow it was years ago where a
referee is like being yelled at bya coach, and then the announcer in
the commercials like, how can youput up with that kind of abuse?
Where does he get that stoicism from? And it shows him at home sitting
at the dinner table with his wifeand she's just all up in his ear,
like yelling, laying into him,and he's just like, ah,
(05:42):
yeah, So it was kind oflike that. Like Andy was just like,
Eh, that's all good. Imean he's used to dealing with hot
ed players, So it's not Andy'sfirst rodeo. Yeah, he said after
the game, like, I didn'tsee him coming. He caught me off
guard. That's why I stumbled, like, if he had seen Travis walking
out him, probably would it probablywouldn't have looked as bad as it did.
(06:03):
Maybe lowered his shoulder, you know, something like that. But but
uh, yeah, I mean, you know, Travis played it off.
It's like, you know, Iwas telling him how much I loved him.
Yeah, I'm guessing there was athere was a meeting you know about
that with Andy. I would Iwould hope. So it's like, don't
you ever Yeah, you big sonof a bitch unless you want to be
(06:25):
there. I don't care who youare, unless you want to be playing
in Jacksonville next year, right.I mean, it's possible that the NFL
Levy's a suspension against him or fine, if something that's something like that,
it's probably more handled internally. Ifhe had done that to someone where like
the refs or something like that, then yeah, maybe, well, if
(06:48):
he bumps a ref like that andscreams at a ref, he's out of
the game. That's a red card, you know, for sure. But
I'm just saying it's as far asthe league getting involved. Yeah, I
agree. Uh. The other, probably the bigger hubbub is is, you
know, Shanahan's choice of taking theball first as opposed to second. Now,
hindsight being keen and Shanahan's come outto say, I actually wanted the
(07:13):
ball third, you know, assumingthat we're both going to go down and
score. I wanted the ball thirdso that we could take the ball down
to win. Assuming a touchdown onour part and a touchdown on their part,
then whoever scores the next wins.I wanted to be that team that
makes all kinds of sense. Buthe's still getting all kinds of grief about,
you know, mostly because there wereplayers on the team that said they
(07:35):
didn't understand the rules of overtime inthe playoffs, because this was the first
overtime playoff game since they implemented. To be fair, a lot of people
in general don't know the rules.Yeah. The strat that everybody is saying
is, you know, the beststrat is to kick and then then you'll
(07:56):
know when you get the ball back, because it's a guarantee what you need
to do, so you'll know ifyou're in four down territory the whole way.
Whatever. If you're playing shuffle board, that's known as having the hammer
lyle okay, the most random factever. Well, but and I can
understand that strategy. It does makemore quote unquote analytical sense. But at
(08:20):
the end of the day, Idon't really think it makes that big of
a difference. Here's what the differencein that game was, Number fifteen.
Yeah, pretty much. He andhe just is like all the time.
Look, he went on the roadand beat Josh Allen and the NBP winner,
right, Lamar Jackson, and thenwent and roasted Brock Perdy. Yeah,
(08:45):
sorry Brock. You know, he'sjust he's one of the greatest playoffs
maybe next to Brady, the greatestplayoff quarterback ever already. Yeah, I
don't I can't think of someone elsewith that much success. He just wins
all the time. Yeah, therethere are people who are putting him in
(09:07):
the top five, you know, with Brady Montana, you know, because
some of the all time greats.Well yeah, I mean, I you
know, it's hard to compare likeMontana and the game. The game changes
every you know, decade, decadeand a half, So it's hard to
make those comparisons, but sure,if we're doing like in their prime,
yes, for sure. You knowFavre was pretty good. You know,
(09:30):
there's a there's a lot of themwe can throw out there. All of
them have gold jackets. But I'mjust saying, when when it's clutched,
when Kansasity got, when it wentinto overtime, I knew San Francisco was
in big, big trouble. Fourteenplay, seventy five yard driven to win
it. Now, I will say, and I'm sure both of you guys
have seen this. If you've notseen it, their listenership, go look
(09:52):
for you know, Nick Bosa basicallymugged and thrown to the ground. He
was It wasn't a hold. Itit was like the guy the chiefs uh
player, wrapped him up, spunhim, it was a tackle, and
then took him down to the groundwith his arms wrapped all the way around
him. Have you seen this soit's not just a hole. He didn't
(10:13):
just grab a jersey, you know, he didn't get his hands in and
just kind of no, no,no, He wrapped his arms around him
and took him to the ground. It's like, how can of reference?
It was not in the middle. It was you know, Nick Bose is
an end. This was out inthe world where everybody could see it except
clearly the side judge there who wassupposed to be looking down the line to
see holds. Uh, clearly didn'tsee that one. Listen. Uh,
(10:39):
I'm tired of hearing all the excuses. You know, it was greenlaw all
it was. You know, uhwhat the refs The NFL's rigged for Travis
and Taylor, T and T.They're calling him. Well, I will
say this, Uh, dude,if the Kansas City Chiefs hadn't been to
like, what four out of thelast five Super Bowls, he might be
able to go. Okay, maybemaybe that's true, But dude, they're
(11:01):
clearly the best team of this decade. Yeah, and the decade's only four
years in, right, it's noteven close. Yeah, and it's not
really an excuse. Awesome, they'reextremely well coached. And this is how
you could tell a really well coachedteam. Belichick used to do this all
the time with Brady. They willtake their lumps in the middle of the
(11:26):
season. Kansasdity didn't have a greatyear. They didn't. I mean,
they ended up having to go ona road for the playoff games, right,
which the first time that's happened. They didn't have a great season,
but when it mattered, they won. And that's how you can tell a
really well coached team lower resources. You know that we talked about the wide
(11:46):
receivers. They did bring me coleback in and you know, look what
happened there. Pretty cool story. But you know Brady did this for years.
If you have a good general, you can you can navigate those waters.
And by general, I mean thehead coach, not the quarterback.
Well, the quarterback doesn't suck either, just saying no, Well, I
(12:07):
mean, and you have to havethat too. I mean, you have
to have a great quarterback if you'regoing to win a bunch of playoff games.
Right. But the tone of theteam is set by the head coach,
and Andy has really evolved into oneof the best coaches in the history
of the NFL. He was notthat when he was in Philly. He
was really really good, yeah, but he was not where he is now.
Well, when you start having ahard time turning the door knobs because
(12:30):
you have so many rings on yourfingers, you know, yep, if
I can borrow from three year lettermanfrom Twitter or x or whatever the hell
it is. Yeah, I meanhe's on the Mount Rushmore. He's on
Mount Rushmore of head coaches in theNFL. Yeah, gotta be right.
And for next year, they didn'tlose any coaches. The team is going
(12:52):
to be more or less identical nextyear. All the coordinators are stay.
Yeah, I mean he's been onnotice. Right, the case is in
town and they're not going anywhere. As long as they have fifteenth, they're
going to be good. You haveto I mean I don't They're not going
to go to every super Bowl obviously, but they're going to be real good.
(13:13):
Yeah. You have to imagine they'regoing to improve their wide receiver core.
I mean, Rashie Rice emerged asa good receiver. But you know,
Hardman, valct Valdez, Scantling, you know, those guys were you
know in Cadarius, Tony, they'rethe dropsy to you know, triplets,
and sky Moore was basically a nonfactor. You know, if you get
(13:33):
a target in the Super Bowl, yeah, I don't even know if you
played. I didn't see him onthe field, of course I wasn't looking
for him. Sure, but yeah, I mean sit in Francisco can make
all the excuses that they want. They just got out played at the end
of the game when when it matteredthe most. So but I don't think
(13:54):
anyone played poorly. Like it wasa good game all around there. It
wasn't like there was any particular mistakeby any player. It was just a
well played game. And you knowyou talking to you said something about Greenlaw
when he went out. That's whenTravis Kelsey, you know, around that
time, started actually being productive inthe game. I think up until then
(14:15):
he only had one catch for liketen yards. Yeah. I saw some
stats about the guy that came into fill in for him, and it
was like, after Greenlaw went out, this guy came in to fill in.
When targeting the player that he wascovering, it was like nine targets
and nine catches one hundred and fiftyyards in a touchdown. Wow, So
that guy was getting absolutely cooked.Yeah that's good coaching. Yeah, Yeah,
(14:37):
we're gonna target this team like theall NFL offenses are pretty much about
matchups. Yeah, and exploit amatchup. Right, And now you went
from an all pro to some dudewe don't even know his name. You're
gonna exploit that matchup. You knowhis name now because he's his name is
blazing on a piece of toast.I feel bad for the guy, but
(15:01):
you know he's feel that bad.He got to play in the super Bowl.
He's getting paid. No. Youknow, I always always think about
these dudes who get a massive injurylike a torn achilles in the last game
that they play in the season, you know, the end of the season,
and you know, and he mayhave been thinking, Okay, well,
after the Super Bowl, I'm goingto take the family to WHI.
We're gonna still on the beach fora couple of weeks. No, no
(15:24):
green law. He's going to getin an operation. His rehab is going
to start right away. He's goingto be in a cast. No beach
for him, no golf. Youknow that's that's gotta suck. Yeah,
I mean, not only are youinjured, you didn't get to play in
the Super Bowl and potentially help yourteam win, but now your off season
is screwed. You're not going tobe at OTAs. You're probably not going
to be able to start camp, may not be able to be there for
(15:46):
the start of the season. He'llbe able to start torn achilles or can
be can be wonky. Yeah,I mean unless you got Aaron Rodgers.
Yeah, I mean, but Kirkdidn't go to that guy, and he's
dancing on stage. You know,I'm not sure what l what Kirk was
doing could really be called dancing. He was gyrating on stage. Did you
see that, Lyle? I did. I've seen the memes. Yeah,
(16:08):
it uh. I mean brave, very brave, because I don't think those
guys don't get to where they areby being shy. Yeah, true,
that's true. But still I thinkI think Greenlaw probably will be able to
start camp. There's half a yearuntil they he needs to be there,
and achilles are healing in ten weeksnowadays, achilles are healing anyway. Yeah,
(16:37):
I mean, I don't know thathe'll you know, I think he'll
start the regular season, but youknow, he may he may join camp
in progress. So we'll see,we'll see. So we uh, we
did our little our little picks likewe always do. So let's run through
that and we can talk a littlebit about about the beginning and next season
and what's going on in the offseason. So the NFL honors for Comeback
(17:03):
Player of the Year we all pickedHamblin, who had the most number one
votes, but Flacco had more twothan three, So Flacco walked away with
the award, and none of usgot a PIP for that MVP. Robbie
and I picked Lamar, You pickedc mac. Lyle, Yeah, Lamar
took the dub Offensive Player of theYear. Lyle and I are Robbie and
(17:25):
I took se Mac. You tookLamar. You got it backward, bro
I just I really, I thinkse Mac deserved it. I think it's
stupid that it's a quarterback award.Yeah, I agree, But knowing that
it's a quarterback award, I didn'tdie on the hill and got a couple
of check marks for it. DefensivePlayer of the Year Crosby, Watt Crosby,
(17:47):
Yeah, it was Garrett. Ialmost said, Miles Garrett, He's
definitely, he was definitely my numbertwo. Well, I mean, you
look at the you look at Watt'snumbers next to Garrett's numbers, and they're
not even close. But you know, as they said, well, well
Garrett, you know, he wasthe intangibles, he was more present on
the field. I'm like, yeah, he didn't lead in any statistical category.
(18:08):
The DEFENSI play layer didn't lead anythingfor games missed. Yeah, that's
true. D J. Watt wasthe reasons I didn't pick because he missed
so many games. Yeah, sono no check marks for us. Their
offensive rookie of the year, Lyleand I picked Stroud. Robbie went contrarian
and picked Pooka, which if heif he had gotten it, I don't
(18:30):
think anybody would have been surprised. We all took Anderson for defensive Rookie of
the Year and got that. Ipicked Stefanski and for the reasons I said
that was why he was picked. You guys had Ryan's which certainly was a
fine pick as well. But Ithink you know, Stefanski got the They
ended up actually having the same numberof points whet he had one additional one
(18:55):
vote, so he got the nod. I think that the tiebreaker, instead
of being how many first, whatshould have been the score of the playoff
game. Yeah, how far asyou get in the playoffs pal Yeah yeah,
well specifically the score of like fortyeight or ten. They're ahead seven,
yeah, so getting into the gamenow, so the forty nine ers
were giving two and a half points. Lyle and I took the Chiefs,
Robbie took the Niners, and Lyleand I were enjoying a lot of the
(19:19):
end of the game at Robbie's andmy nephew Jesse's expense. So tell me
Vegas doesn't know what the hell they'redoing. Chiefs won twenty five to twenty
two. That equals forty seven overunder forty seven and a half. You
guys picked the under. I pickedthe over. Lost by the hook,
so you guys get points for thatpretty passing yards two forty five over under.
(19:45):
We all took the under. Hehad two fifty five overpays none of
us. McCaffrey rushing over under ninetyone and a half he had eighty.
We all took the over. Wegot nothing. McCaffrey four point five or
si he had eight. Robbie andI took the over. Lyle took the
under. You get nothing, Lyledeebo receiving yards fifty seven and a half
(20:08):
he took. He got thirty three. So the underpays and Robbie gets a
pip Lyle and I get nothing.Receptions four point five. Debo had three.
Somehow, you wonder why they lost, So the underpays Robbie gets that
two IOK receiving yards sixty three anda half was the over under he had
forty nine. Lyle took the under. Lyle gets paid. IOK receptions four
(20:32):
and a half he had three.Again, for some reason, we all
took the over because why wouldn't you? But no, he had three for
forty nine. Anyway, Kittle overunder receiving yards forty seven and a half,
he had four rush We took theover. We didn't get nothing.
Mahomes passing two sixty two and ahalf he had three thirty three. We
(20:53):
all took the over. We gotsmart all of a sudden, so we
get paid for that. Mahomes rushingyards over under twenty five and a half.
Lyle had the over. Robbie andI had the under. He had
sixty six runs. Yeah uh so, yeah, that didn't work out so
well for us. Pachecko over overunder sixty seven point five rushing yards he
(21:15):
had fifty nine. We all tookthe under. Woot we all get paid
nice receptions for Pachecko three and ahalf was over under he had six.
Lyle and I had the over.Robbie had the under. Robbie gets Bupkis
nice Kelsey over undred seventy one anda half. Receiving yards was six point
five reception he had ninety three andnine. We all took the over,
(21:36):
uh and so we all get paid. All that came in the second half.
By the way, he had onecatch for one yard in the first
half. That wasn't looking good forus. So here's the funny thing.
Combined rushing yards over under two thirtythree and a half. Guess how many
combined rushing yards there were three twoforty. Wow, Robbie took the over.
(21:59):
Robbie, it's it. Most passattempts quarterbacks, we all took KC.
It was forty five to thirty nine. Most completions, we all took
KC. Case he wanted thirty fourto twenty four. That was almost too
easy. So we probably won't seethat next year. Total number of rushing
tds team versus team, the fortynine ers was taken by all three of
(22:21):
US. No rushing touchdowns in aSuper Bowl boys, wow. Yeah.
Number of passing tds. Trying tofigure out I said I did two dash
fab I don't know what that means. It was a push either way,
so it was you did two slashtwo and excel about autois to be a
(22:42):
date. I see, so itwas two and two. Thank you for
knowing the excel. I'm like, two fab But that was I trying to
tell myself there. All right,So a team with the most offensive plays,
Robbie and I took the Niners,Lyle took KC. Casey had ninety
six offensive plays. San Francisco hadoff damn talk about even I had.
(23:03):
I counted that up twice. I'mlike, that can't be. Yeah.
I remember at one point in thesecond half or sorry, before halftime,
in the first half, it waslike the Niners had like three times as
many offensive plays and then they justjust shut down the second half. That's
crazy. Yeah, it is alittle nuts. Let's see kick return for
(23:26):
a touchdown. You guys took no. I took, yes, no kick
return at all, I don't think, which is what I said. The
game miss field goal by any ofthe players. You guys took none,
I took Moody. There was nomiss. You guys got paid well.
The coin talks winner. When thegame you guys said yes, Casey wand
but they deferred, So you guysgot paid for that right, that's why
(23:48):
you guys got paid. You tookCasey. That's exactly what my logic was.
MVP was Pat Lyle, and Ipicked Pat j Robbie picked Bosa.
So the week's total, while actuallyhad eighteen, So you on the week
Robbie had seventeen, nine had fifteen, but you add in the previous totals,
Robbie takes it thirty two to Lyle'sthirty to my twenty five. Hey,
(24:11):
I'm not sucking. I tit awesome. Yeah, I'm getting kind of
used to that now. Robbie's like, yeah, it was me. Yeah,
I'll finish last. Well, weused to have Liz come in and
do this and she'd kick our assevery year. Yeah, she was way
better we are. And now she'syou know, she's actually doing that at
ESPN, doing doing wagers stuff.Makes sense. Yeah, I mean,
(24:33):
you know, she's obviously as aas a knack for it. So so
that wraps up the Super Bowl andthe twenty twenty three twenty twenty four football
season. So as we as wedecide whether or not we're gonna do this
next year, we're gonna play fantasyfootball regardless whether we're doing this, show
or not. I did hear yousay the R word lyle at the Super
(24:55):
Bowl gathering retiring. I mean you'rethinking about pulling the blood, bro All
good things come to an it,brother, all good things. I don't
know, double chat about it,you know, see what you're too emotional,
too raw. Yeah, you know, I probably want to keep doing
it. I like doing the show, but like at the end of the
season, I'm tired of doing theshow. Yeah, yeah, it's true.
(25:18):
It's you know, you get alittle burned out from it. Yeah,
just like it becomes a job.Like a lot of a lot of
you out there like don't really understandit becoming a job something that I love,
which which sounds great, but itbecomes something that's not. It's something
that I have to do, notsomething I want to do anymore. So
(25:41):
yeah, it just becomes a thing. And I'm like, eh, well,
I'll probably feel differently in August.I'll be all excited about football,
you know, yeah, exactly,So you know we'll figure it out.
More than likely we'll be back insome form or another. I'm not sure
what that means, but you know, things happen. I don't. I
don't either, man. All right, So looking at looking at just next
(26:02):
year we're going to be drafting. So can any of us, say the
Christian McCaffrey and I shouldn't be thenumber one overall pick. I don't understand
why you would pick anyone else.Right. So, in the era of
you know, running backs are replaceable, everybody wants to take receivers. Looking
at one particular list here, pickstwo, three, and four are Justin
(26:26):
Jefferson's, Ceedee Lamb and Tyreek Hill. Yep, I see that too.
Now, I want to know whoJustin Jefferson's quarterback is before I go pulling
the trigger on him at number two. If I'm sitting at number two,
I'm taking I'm taking Kyron Williams.Boys. See Now, I don't necessarily
disagree with that, but I haveto. I absolutely have to give some
(26:52):
weight to selecting Breesehall that high.Yeah, I mean he had a fantastic
second half of the season. Forrunning backs, that is typically indicative of
you know, some some thing's gonnahappen the next year. There's not always,
but you know, he was topten in four of the last five
(27:15):
games. Guy also turned in seventysix receptions on ninety five targets. Damn,
that's pretty good. And he's gettingAaron Rodgers back. Yeah, so
just the improvement quarterback alone, wellwe'll take another player out of that box.
Yeah, So I think Hall, and obviously we'll know more by next
summer. I would give strong considerationto take him number two overall, seriously.
(27:41):
Sure. My point is it's it'snot Ceedee Lamb or Tyreek Hill.
No, it's not or JJ.You know, love to have those guys,
you know, and if I ifI'm picking at number seven or eight
or something like that, I mightget one of those guys, you know,
do I want to? Depending onwhat happens, you know, what
the falcon look like. Bijon shouldbe right up there, dude, I
(28:03):
don't know. I don't know manshould be. Jamiir Gibbs is a guy,
you go, Okay, Yeah,I think Jonthan Taylor is still there.
Sure, and compending on what happenswith Sequan, you know, if
he gets the tag or whatever. So there's a lot there, but certainly
rekill Ceedee Lamb, Justin Jefferson,Aman raj Jamar, Chase AJ Brown.
Those guys are in the you know, in the round one, early round
(28:26):
two conversation one. Yeah, what'swhat's interesting is that you have guys like
uh Kamara and Rashad White that werejust past catching machines this year to keep
them in the top ten. Uh, those guys are gonna get pushed to
the second round, which is whichis crazy when you think about how impactful
(28:47):
they were. If you played againsta team that had one of those guys
on them, they're almost guaranteed twentyfive points every week, but their second
round if you're in the full pointPPR, Yeah, if you're in the
full PPR, those guys are probablygonna be second round picks, like mid
second round because receivers just have morevalue now. It's crazy. Well,
and that's great. I mean ifyou can if you're gonna take you know,
(29:07):
rekill at number six and you cancome back around in the middle of
round two and get Kamara or getRashad White or Devin A. Shane or
you know one of those guys, and you've got a really good running back
who could be a top ten runningback and certainly a top ten receiver.
You know, those are what dreamsare made of. Yeah boy, yeah,
(29:30):
yeah, And we're not even reallytalking about you know, his utilization
was kind of off, but DeAndreSwift had a great first eight games.
He did, and we'll see see. I think the whole Eagles offense is
going to be much more dynamic.Kevin Moore has done that repeatedly in this
(29:52):
league, so I have much morefaith in him than I do in Vic
Vangio. Yeah, you know,as a defensive coordinator. Because of that.
Right now, I have Jalen Hurtsat number two in quarterbacks. Yeah,
but you know, there's there's somany more running backs that did much
(30:12):
better than this year than we wereexpecting. But Checko, I was expecting
him to be averaging like ten pointsa game and he was averaging like fifteen
sixteen. Yeah. Cook from Buffalokind of emerged as as a guy who
you know, even toward the endof the season when the Bill after they
lost to the Eagles, the Billsjust kind of went on a tear and
Cook was a huge part of Yeah, they changed coordinators and that coordinator was
(30:33):
like, we need to run theball, and they know they did.
Yeah. There's yeah, so manyguys now, even like David Montgomery,
right who like you know, theydrafted Gibbs, right, nobody saw him
being I mean, dude ran fora thousand yards and he missed like five
six games. Yeah, he averagedfour point six had thirteen touchdowns. I
(30:56):
mean those are huge numbers. Man. One of the things I'm really excited
about is like in the last outof a decade, tight end play has
been awful, but there seems tobe a new breed of tight end entering
the league. At this point. You know, you got you got guys
like Sam Laporta, who is arguablythe number one tight end off the board,
(31:18):
number one. Yeah, I mean, Kelsey's still Kelsey, but he's
gonna be what Kelsey Kittle? Allthose guys are in there, But Trey
McBride is up there, I thinktoo. Sure, I think Ferguson and
Dallas is someone that I would bevery very happy to get Dallas Goddard speaking
of him, what's the name ofthe kid coming into the draft? Is
hear Brocks rock Bowers, rock Bowers. Everybody's talking about him in the top
(31:41):
ten. Yeah. Every mack I'veseen has him going to the Chargers,
which means it will not happen.Yeah, yeah, Chargers an dates back.
Yeah, but who didn't make theHall of Fame, by the way.
That breaks my heart. That dude. He was so good he'll get
there. One year I drafted alittle known running back from the Chargers and
(32:05):
their tight end with Danny Thomlinson andtheir tight end Antonio Gates, who was
unknown to and just walked the league. Yeah. Unfortunately I was in that
league, and I remember that becauseyou were insufferable, sufferable Lyle insufferable.
Oh come now, I just yeah, I mean that was We've that league's
(32:27):
been around for twenty three, twentyfour years. So this was during the
you know, maybe not during therun of the show, but uh,
I don't remember. When you getto when you get to see Lyle at
work every day and he's like, yeah, you see the game yesterday?
Yeah? Did you see what Gatesdid? I sound like, Oh yeah,
you sound like a like a completelike a Transatlantic radio post. Yeah.
(32:52):
And to see the game last night? Yeah? See yeah. Uh
so let's see. Actually I sawsome some new here. Some of them
might be interesting. Apparently the theVikings are interested in re signing Kirk the
UHM shocked, like, what aretheir other options? You know, they
could they could draft somebody. Imean there's gonna be guys who go late
(33:15):
first. You know, bo Nickshould be back there, Spencer Rattler,
you know, make it picked upby those guys whether they get whether they
get Kirk or not. You know, Devin Leary might be there. He's
probably not a first round pick. He's probably more of a Day two or
three guy. But there's some prettygood guys out there. Pittsburgh might be
you know, looking to pick up, you know, another quarterback they're talking
(33:38):
about bringing. Yeah, they're lookingat Uh. They cut Trubisky, so
they're talking about bringing some some competitionin for the Steelers, like maybe Ryan
Tannehill, which would be interesting.I heard Adam Schefter on the macav the
show yesterday or the day before saythat there's there's whispers of a potential move
(34:01):
for Justin Fields to the Steelers.Wow. Yeah, apparently Tomlin quote unquote
really likes Justin Fields. I've alsoseen in a couple of mocks where they
like the Patriots go for him, swap picks with the with the Bears so
that the Bears can take Caleb andMarvin Harrison and just start breaking and just
(34:25):
destroy the careers of both of them. They're gonna trade up to get Harrison.
The Eagles are going to do that. Yeah, if the Eagles take
a receiver in the first round,I might have to take the year off
and then they're gonna trade aj Brown. Yeah, well, yeah, that's
that. They'd have to trade himto get that number one picky. If
(34:47):
if the words if the letters CB aren't aren't in the the description of
the player we take it first,I'm going to be very upset, unless,
of course, they you know,do some free agency stuff. Would
you be fine? One thing I'mconcerned by you mentioned Fangio before, Lyle
if I mean, you know, you need to be strong up the middle
(35:10):
with it. In his defense, which means linebackers and safeties and of course
tackles. I'm not worried about thetackles at this point. But if Howie's
not going to go get him theplayers he needs, then is pointless to
hire him. So yeah, Iagree with that, I just don't.
I'm just not sold on his wholescheme. In fact, I think it's
kind of ruined NFL defenses. Well, he he had the one good,
(35:32):
really good defense for like three yearsand then the rest of the league starts
doing it. Yeah, all thesedisciples of him start doing it, and
even others, some people started copyingthem. None of them have been able
to replicate it. In fact,Fangio hasn't been able to replicate it.
So this whole like disguising your schemeand using both your safeties. Can they
(35:57):
pretty much alternate between strong and freesafety based on the play. It's it's
good in theory, it's really itlooks really good on paper, and it
did work. It confused the hellout of Pat Mahomes. But NFL offenses
are pretty keen and they picked upon it pretty quickly. And now it
(36:20):
just looks like, Okay, wedon't want to give up a big play,
so feel free to you know, dank and dunk and pick up eight
yards every play. Like I don'tknow, man, I don't know,
but it'll be better than what wehad this year, So it would have
tofully, it would have to be. So a couple of things here.
Dak is getting ready to go intothe last year of his of his contract.
(36:45):
He's going to be making thirty fourmillion, So the Cowboys looking to
maybe extend Dak because you want tobe the next team to extend your quarterback,
not the third from the next team, because with every quarterback signing price
goes up. Well, and here'sthe other thing, what are their options?
Like? Their window is now? They don't have time to develop someone.
(37:07):
Is their window now? It hasto be Is it open? Is
their window actually open? Windows?Kevin? But twenty twenty four is their
year. I heard that from ahomeful of people. But you know,
so they really don't. I don'tlike, what other option do you have?
Trey Lance? What's up? TreyLances? Uh so? And Dak
(37:34):
is pretty good and we've seen prettygood quarterbacks, but U greatness in this
league. I just don't know ifhe's great. I don't know. In
big moments, he seems to failand the team seems to fail around him
as well. Of course, yeah, it's not always him. Yeah,
everything, I mean everything went wrongin that Packers game. Everything, No,
(37:54):
everything went right. One of theperspective. Anyway, it would be
frustrating to me if I was aCowboys fan to have to deal with this
year after year after year. That'strue, that's true. The good news
though for the Cowboys is that fromwhat they hear, Desmond Ritter is a
(38:15):
trade candidate. Out of Atlanta. There you go. So you know that
could be their their solution right there. I think Jerry loves Dak, and
he should. I mean, Dak'snumbers were fantastic, yeah, and he
plays really really well most of theseason. But they get into the playoffs,
man, and they choke, andthey've done it. It's not It's
(38:37):
clearly it's not Dak because they didit with Romo. They've done it since
the late nineties. Yeah, Imean, it's just it's been that way.
The same thing with the forty nineers, Blake, I got to
lay that at the feet of theorganization in the coaching. Well, speaking
of coaching, I was really happyto see Dan Quinn go to the Commanders
because you remember the last time hewas a head coach didn't go well.
(38:58):
I do happy to see they're talkingabout Rex Ryan or Zimmer going to the
Cowboys, so that could actually improvetheir defense a little. It might improve
it a lot. DeVante Adams isexpected not to be traded, which is
good for him. T Higgins mightactually get the franchise tag from the Bengals.
That would be not unexpected. Idon't think I think they they would
(39:21):
really I think that might end upbeing a tag in trade situation. Maybe
yeah, maybe because he's gonna beexpensive, so is Chase and the Bengals
are notoriously stingy. Yeah, thisis something we might be interested in.
Hassan Reddick says he did not requesta trade. He's like, I love
(39:44):
being here. At no point didI ever tell the organization I wanted to
be traded. But the thing isis, you know, he's he needs
to get paid. He's going tothe last year, so you know the
team would want to get something forhim if they're not going to sign him.
So they want to see, theywant him to what the market is
for him. So he's not askingfor the world. He's insane. Oh,
(40:06):
they're insane. He should get paid. He's their best defensive player.
Of course, Like, how doyou how do you let go how do
you have that terrible of a defenseand let go of one of the only
bright spots. Dude, this isa team They'll let Brian Dawkins go to
the Bronx. Yeah. At BrianDawkins was at the end of his career
though, a son, Redick's not. He's thirty. I mean he's he's
still in his prime man. He'sgot four years probably, yeah. I
(40:30):
mean, look how old is FletcherCox and the you know print of Graham
older thirty and thirty three, Ithink, and they're still yanking down paychecks
and playing well, yeah, Ithink I think he's got funny. I'm
gonna be really upset if they letus Son Redick go. Yeah, no
question. I mean unless they getsome ridiculous out of value for it,
(40:51):
Like if a team overpays for him. Now, let me ask you this,
would you let him go if wegot a second round pick and patch
your tan? Yes? Yeah, okay, Yeah, so you do have
a price, all right, Igot you, just Jack. Everybody's got
a price. You can't be silly. But nobody's going to make that trade.
Well, it would have to be. You're gonna have to give up
a Son Reddick and two first roundpicks. Yeah. I don't know about
(41:12):
that, at least one maybe.Anyway, I'm badly so. Brandon Ayoak
says he hopes to remain with SanFrancisco, though his buddy put out on
uh some other I think, yeah. Maybe his brother was like, you
know, thirteen hundred yard receiver onlyhas three catches in the Super Bowl.
Glad we're leaving, No wonder you'relosing. Brandon is probably like, dude,
(41:35):
shut up, I'm trying to getpaid out here. Well, he
did post something on his on hisInstagram that said remember what got you here?
Yeah? Yeah, they're just allbutt hurt. Yeah. The players
are acting just like the fans.I mean, and I'm just lapping up
those Niners tears. Listen, allyou nine Ers fans out there that are
cool, I'm cool with you. That's fine. Buzz Yeah, buzz is
(41:57):
cool, you know, but there'sa lot of out there that aren't.
And I saw Eric Dickerson of allpeople, talking about on a podcast talking
about how horrible then Iers fans were. Wow. And I don't know if
you guys saw Beast Mode walking throughthe casinos in Vea. Yeah, did
you guys see that video? Yeah? So good. Well for those who
(42:21):
didn't see it, describe, Uh, he's walking around with a mic and
he's going up to people going on, you're a Knights fan and they'll be
like yeah, and he goes,f you are you a Knighters fan?
F you? It's it's glorious. What are you gonna do? What are
you gonna say to Marshawn, youknow nothing nothing, not a damn thing,
Thank you, sir. Can Ihave a no, you're gonna get
(42:42):
strucked into into the you know theLucky seven. Uh one. I mean
I wouldn't have smiled and been likewhatever I have told him afew too.
No, you wouldn't have one percentwould have listen. I like Marshaw Lynch.
But if he did, so anybodycomes up to me and says,
you into my yeah, have youbro, you'd have been smiling when you
(43:04):
said it. Maybe I might havethought it was funny. I'm sure I
would have thought it was funny.Oh yeah, I mean you know somebody
said to me, if it's Marshan, you know, doing it for effect?
Yeah, you got to laugh atit, you know, just some
meathead. It was like EMMITTT.Smith. Emmitt Smith would have said fuck
you. Yeah, you'd have messedit up somehow. Oh God, is
(43:29):
that it? Boys? Is thatis that the show? That's a rap
on the season. That's how weended with a bad Emmitt Smith imitation,
fuck you, I love it?That rubs up season nineteen kids. That
(43:50):
was uh, it was heartbreaking ina lot of ways for us Eagles fans.
Yeah, yeah, ended poorly, but uh, the season in the
hole, it was a lot offun. That's true. All seasons are
good. It's football. It's football, all right. Enjoy your off season.
You never know, we may dosome off season shows. Yeah,
we'll pop up on your feet everynow and again. Yeah, just you
(44:14):
know, keep the keep the subscriptiongoing, and you know you might find
something in your stocking, as itwere. All right, Enjoy
