Serena Sinigaglia nasce a Milano nel 1973; fonda l'A.T.I.R., l'Associazione Teatrale Indipendente per la Ricerca, con cui dal 2007 gestisce il Teatro Ringhiera, situato nella periferia milanese. Nel corso degli anni mette in scena classici del teatro e drammaturgie originali, oltre a opere liriche. Dal 2002 è stata più volte chiamata per far parte della giuria del Premio Hystrio alla vocazione.
