This Week on The Greenline Radio Show, Host Art Del Cueto voiced frustration over the national media’s focus on riots in Los Angeles while downplaying unrest in other areas, linking the coverage to political tension between Governor Newsom and President Trump. He criticized the lack of response from local law enforcement—noting it was likely due to directives from leadership—while emphasizing that Border Patrol agents were willing and ready to assist, as they’ve historically done even beyond immigration-related duties.

He shared concerns about law enforcement officers—especially in left-leaning cities—feeling discouraged and retiring early due to policies that limit their effectiveness. Drawing from personal experience in Tucson, Art described confrontations between protesters and officers, including violent outbursts where Border Patrol agents acted professionally in detaining aggressors.

Art highlighted the destruction of historic Latin-owned businesses on Olvera Street during the protests and the lack of accountability for those responsible. He estimated the damage—factoring in vandalism, canceled events, lost wages, and insurance claims—could cost the city millions.

Art stressed the importance of respecting the U.S. and its values, especially for those coming into the country. He emphasized that law enforcement deserves support, not blame, and called for real accountability for criminal acts during protests.
