you ain't considered the whole no moreeither. Everybody doing it? My god,
(06:21):
what is the true definition of aholder? Let's talk about that.
Ain't on my hole? The don'tstart thinking hole no more. That's what
I thought. I don't think thesame thing. So why would you call
it friendly? Yeah? Everybody justeverybody's screwing everybody. You know what I'm
(06:44):
saying. Just I see more marriedcouple, I see more married people dating
single people. It means everybody's doingsomething, you feel me. He's laughing
like that, So SMA, ain'tjust go forward? You know, Hey,
this is what it is. Andand I'm gonna say something else to
(07:06):
y'all. What listen, y'all ain'tpaying no attention about marriages. Y'all know
the divorce rate is sky hat. It's like seventy five percent right now?
Are you serious? It's up there? Yeah, it's up there do to
social media influences as well, justso you know, oh yeah, social
(07:27):
media completely. Yeah, well it'sit's really it's like sixty sixty five to
be honest. But what I'm sayingis it's steadily going up. At several
years ago, prior to the pandemic, it was like fifty fifty five percent
the divorce rate, but now Iwas up, it's in double. It's
double since then. So you know, of course you can't keeping privacy,
no mother, dad, Well, you know, just buy a flip phone,
(07:53):
get a pager that got a trackon it to live. Yeah,
you're right, you're right, man, can't can't do on most Oh God,
bless you know what I see youout here living your best life you
see, DARBYO. We had tobe all committed and try to do the
right thing, you know, representingthe old school flavor you know where.
(08:13):
Yeah, because we got you know, we believe in stupid stuff like values
and more Christs, commitment, honesty, being faithful. Why wow. Yeah,
but we don't have to deal withWe didn't have to deal with sixty
eight year old women getting uh bbland making them look good these grandmama's is
(08:35):
fine. Yeah, it was lookgood. Ain't nobody getting worms? No
more, they're getting bbl's hill.Yeah, they got a shot for them
worms. From what I hear, you ain't going to all of them?
Gone, don't nobody get cramslow aids. Yeah they got, They got a
(08:58):
vast they got advanced pit of sillafor that type of stuff. You don't
think that's what doctor CB meant.Oh you donna catch code with you?
Cool? You feel me? Fixit? Lord? Yeah? Yeah,
we know. Jeff know all aboutthem shillings and the boxing shillings. Yes,
(09:24):
they work, they work, theywork. He got the refillable prescription.
Ain't every thirty days. Hey,look at me, I'm standing stone
(09:48):
some boxing marks. That's the combinationolive oil, olive oil too. Gotta
get some preyan oil. Got intthe paranois yet, get the prayer it.
Hey, So George Jordan playing onkitchen to us, man, I
need to be her brother. Theytalk talk to us about who who Jordan's
(10:11):
who? I'm sorry, Jordan Jacksonis my brother? Talk to us,
man. We know you're funny,we know you're comedian, we know you're
tearing up social media. Man talkedto us a little bit about that.
Man, I'm just a dedicated socialmedia content creator, uh, touring stand
up comedian, been doing that forfive years, uh with comedian named country
(10:35):
Wayne. And I'm just dedicated tothe craft, trying to trying to be
uh as best as I can beevery day, never taking nothing for granted,
and and knowing the value of relationships. Man, you know what I'm
saying. So yeah, but nomatter what, no matter where, yet
you need friends, and people don'tunderstand that. A lot of people start
(10:56):
rising and they don't understand the importanceof relationships. Bro. So I'm one
person who my face is good witheverybody's. You know what I'm saying.
I don't get I don't got timefor all that other uh negative thing.
I'm always in a positive light andI always looking to to to collaborate and
connect and and and continuously be arelationship. Bro. I think that's dope,
man, because I'm a firm believer. I always tell people when I
(11:20):
speak to him that our connections affectour direction in life. Man, um
and you know, being connected toconnect Coco has connected us with you and
men and country Way is one ofmy favorite social media Uh guys, man
like I follow what he does justa funny dude, man funny. A
lot of the content that he hasis amazing. Man movie Huh, he's
(11:46):
got a new movie out now thathe Oh really is it? Where's available
at Amazon Prime? Hm? Oh, we gotta go. You know what
I'm saying, Say, hey,Coco, you have any questions for for
Jordan? I mean, I justlove Jordans. I'm mad that when he
was begging me to do skits withhim, I was so dead, got
so large that he doesn't have timefor Oh it's if you know it's it's
(12:13):
certainly you know, uh, socialmedia influence yourself that I have so much
respect for it because you don't disstand up comedy to do what you do.
You know, you embrace both sides. And that's where the respect for
me and a lot of my colleaguescome in. For the social media influencers
have taken, you know, comedyinto a different stratosphere with the social media
(12:35):
context. You know, it's oneof those things now, um, you
know, it's become something that's necessarythat you have to have this presence on
social media. You know, itused to be just sitting in your you
know, your little zone and gettingyour set together, but now you've got
to you know, not only havea set ready for the clothes, but
you gotta have something for social mediaas well. They have to go hand
(12:56):
in hand. And I just respecthow you've been rans both of those and
you don't just one for the other. You you've married them perfectly. Yeah,
for facts and just to get Cocoaof flowers. Man'll tell you something.
I love the hell out of CocoaBrown because she's so humble. A
lot of people don't understand everything thatshe's accomplished and accomplishing. And she's a
(13:18):
phenomenal actress, a phenomenal stand upcomedian, and then a phenomenal person and
personality. Man that you know,I know there's such big things Um headed
her way because she's just a greatperson and people don't understand how important that
he is. It don't matter howmuch talent you got. We know some
funny comedians, some great talented people, but they're not good people. And
(13:41):
you need all of that. Youneed all of that to win. Man.
So shout out to Cocoa Brown, who I'm gonna answer the phone every
time she hit me because she's justshe's She's always treated me just with the
utmost respect and answer my phone.I was nobody and she still ain't what
love doing, you know what youknow, It's like it's so many of
(14:03):
y'all that I do respect it,you know. And I mean, you
know, whenever a lot of standups were like you know, these social
beauty people, I'm just like, honey, they just took it to and
you know, another another level andit's like either you could play the game
or not. I mean, evenI it has been a hard break for
me to get into making such apresence on social media because I've always been
(14:24):
a that you know, and thisis just me. You know, I'm
not gonna say nothing until I havesomething to say, right, And so
that dedication that you guys have tomake those skits every day. It's like
you're creative juice must be on threethousand because you're constantly creating and putting out
there. Me, it may takeme two weeks to say, oh,
that's a good one. Let medo it now. You know. You
(14:48):
know, like that's interesting to talkabout that. The consistency of creating content.
Um, you know what you know? I think Coco says something else
profound, the fact that you aninfluencer like yourself, Um, acknowledge those
that have paved the way. Whenyou look at now with the power of
(15:09):
social media, Man, what didyou see is the negative side of that?
Because we have so much positive butthere is a lot of negatives man,
And how do you balance that?Brother? To continue to do what
you do? But the bottom lineis you you at the end of the
day, we're all artists. Wereartists first. And because I started out
(15:31):
and stand up and there was alot of veterans, there are a lot
of veteran comments that I was like, bro, like this this is the
next phase. And this was likeprobably about eight or nine years ago.
I was like, this is thenext phase. Um, it doesn't matter
how talented you are, if ifthe if the people you the people still
have to be able to know youand want to see you, and then
(15:52):
and if you're not in in TVseries and stuff like Coco Brown. There's
a lot of talent here in Atlanta, um that we know are funny that
aren't gonna get the chances because peoplejust don't know who you are. So
when you take social media, youget a chance to build your own audience.
And it's gonna take a little timeto do that, but it's it's
it's worth the reward because those samepeople that that that wouldn't listen to me
(16:17):
back then are are trying to doit now and they could already be that
much further alan. But I mean, I get it, you know what
I'm saying, It ain't so easyto do. I just saw that it
don't matter how how how funny Iam, and if don't nobody knew who
I would, sure you just haveto start and just have basis to build,
because I mean, you know,I come from the TV and film
(16:38):
world where I've got all of thesecredits, but I still have to push
to get butts in the seats.I mean, if you know it it
works for me only if single MomClubs played a day before my tickets going
sale, right, Yeah, becauseeverything changed, everything change, you know,
back in the day, if yougot Jimmy Kimmel, if you got
(17:00):
one movie, if you got anHBO A theory that changed your life as
a comedian immediately. Now that keepsyou hot for about two months. You
still got to keep something that youhave to be if you're a comedian,
I don't care what you're doing. You need to be in these people's faith
every day. They need to seeyou at somehow, some level every day
(17:21):
to where when your face goes upon that flyer, when it goes up
on the comedy zone and they setit out, Oh I've seen her on
something, that's enough to get themto buy a ticket. Yeah, yeah,
you know, I know. Wegotta go to Advil, we gotta
go to break Yeah, baby,we gotta go break that. Okay,
listen, We'll be right back withmore of Jordan Jackson. I listen the

page Eating oysters. You can spendtwenty nine ninety nine to wash me slurp
(18:45):
oysters one after another. Oh no, I didn't know you room, Okay,
we got the slurp sounds so centralI'm telling eating an oyster is very
essential. You have to slurp itout, you know, and squish it
around your mouth. Shouldn't listen. That's why man should not eat oysters.
That's why man should not allowed nobodyto squirt uh that hot tequila teeth from
(19:10):
Bennie holland nay mouth. You're absolutethat you know pop stickles and uh now
let's listen bron chop it up andput it up and throwing bro, you
ain't no, I'm not or you'renot throwing nothing. Bro. What I
mean and what it's called sack?Yeah, y'all letting these these Bennie hudself
(19:33):
squirts soak in your mouth like it'scool. Noo. It needs to more
producers too, because I'm kind ofthat same damn Yeah, I mean it's
been the same thing. I mean, ain't nobody decided let's get together the
National National uhbagi all places and staywe're gonna do. Let's put a new
show to volcano. We know theonion volcano coming. We know you gonna
(20:03):
Okay, we're pirted it. Okay, give give us something new egg roll.
We don't seen it. Throw theegg in the hat, Benny Hannah
that that that that he's cooking andthe hold Jamaican accident. Oh, they
don't switched up the game too. Now, back in the day when you
went to about it was Asian aboutguy, that's all it was. It
wasn't no everybody in that cooking nowGrandma cooking, Auntie cousin the show,
(20:32):
Steve Urkel, you know your wantme to put some money with some sauce
on the end. And I remember, I remember Steve Rker was a chef
on that show years ago, talkingabout Yeah, yeah he was. They
had this episode with Steve Urkel backin the Damn Family or was he he
(20:55):
was? He was? He was, he was Erkle hey Berth the whole
restaurant down there. You have it, So listen, man, At the
end of the day, I justthink that you know, when you talk
about, you know, the socialmedia platform, and you know, we're
talking about the only fans thing. You know. Um, I think that
we can all agree that social mediais so powerful. And like you said,
(21:22):
and Georgian, the fact that yourecognize that eight or nine years ago,
man, that's that's that's impressive. It was smart. You was smart
on the train. Oh yeah,I was. I was. I was.
I was in it. And andI'm so thankful that I came up
in the Atlanta comedy stand up scenebecause uh, one thing about Atlanta.
(21:42):
People realize real quick that they giveyou by five to seven minutes on your
fame um to to to get upthere and do your thing. But after
that that, uh, you gotto bring it in Atlanta, it's funny
or no funny. They're not playing. And I would rather come up that
came up in Esting because when yougo to other cities, then I'm not
(22:03):
staying in either or any better thanother cities. All I'm saying is the
word comedian here, who's been throughthese who's been through these trenches. It's
the vibe out there, because it'sa different It ain't no joke here,
no it is. I was cookedup. It was New York. If
you could go to New York androck Bronx, Bbq's, you could rock
(22:23):
Nagasakis, you could rock anywhere likeNew York was a rite of passage.
And now Atlanta's would come back becausethere's so much talent here and people,
you know, they have that NewYork mentality here in a sense of if
you're not funny, we will bootyou, we will stare it you.
Yeah, and some cities are justaccommodating, like La is accommodating. Yeah,
(22:47):
No, that's why you got greatstratosphere is of fame out of LA
because just sit there and go,okay, how sweet. In New York
or Atlanta, it's like boom, get your call. They get down here
and they're like, whoa They canidateon the West coast, but you come
to this south buddy a b.I know when I back in two thousand
(23:11):
and three, I remember Debra tellingme, whatever you do, do not
tell people you are LA comic. He said, like, he said,
keep that East coast. And sincehe said, because they thank you a
LA comic, they're gonna thank you, gonna stink up the room. Yeah.
Man, it's why it's night andday. It really is, because
it's like it's I don't know,you know, without getting yourself the materials
(23:37):
is different. This is but yeah, yeah, every reason has their own
colloquialisms. I mean like when yougo to New York, you go to
Chicago, you go to Detroit,Atlanta, Miami, Texas. You know,
um, it seems like you know, LA's like that that that that
that melting pot of you know, everybody comes out there. I remember when
I first went to LA and Istarted hitting the stages and cats were like,
(24:00):
dang, why are you going sohard? You ain't gotta go that
hard, Like I don't know anyof the wagons. I'll be damned you
boo me and tell me to killmyself. So I'm gonna say the most
difficult city for me in the beginningwas was Cleveland. Oh my god,
because welcome to Cleveland, baby, that's where we from right in two one
(24:22):
six. We didn't they don't falloff the chair laughing and oh man,
we know we tell you that.Oh man, I really enjoyed. You'm
like, well, I couldn't care. Well, no, let me say
something. Let me say this.Let me because we were right here in
Cleveland right now. I'm lea mypartner over the darve, and let me
tell you why man, because wewe we know the boys when we see
(24:42):
it, like with Coco. Come, we love Coco. You know what
I'm saying. She gonna give agood show whatever, you know, and
you know, uh, Cleveland isjust a real we we love a good
time. But we're gonna make surewe are we are great. We're j
yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah. So if they're following, I was
(25:03):
gonna ask you that too, likewhat was the what like what was the
difference in the crowd here in Cleveland. Yeah, it was. It was.
I had to work harder than inany UM, than any other city,
and I and and I always didgood, but I never had a
great set my first two years UMin Cleveland, and then the third year
(25:26):
I finally broke through. I finallybroke through, and then it was good.
I'm like, but they're like,no, man, when George were
just shut up, b I don'twant to hear because yeah, I mean,
you're slapping your knee or the otherdude, let me say, what
was your what? What? What'sbeen your experience performing in Cleveland cole Um.
I mean, if a crowd isnot feeling me, they're dead.
(25:52):
But at the same token, Clevelanddefinitely gave me the feeling of you got
to prove to me you're worth mylaugh. And clubs in Cleveland I've done.
You know, I've done some ofthe little side clubs in Cleveland,
and they'll be like, you know, okay, oh, oh okay,
see buddy, like that you're walkingon stage. The hell of judgment?
Yeah, once you break them down, yea, yeah, yeah, you
(26:18):
gotta be initiated here. You know, we ain't playing that, we ain't
just giving you no free last man. You got to show us that you
funny as hell. And if youain't funny as hell, we're gonna tell
you. But once you show us. But once you show us, we
rock with you. Yeah. Forthat's facts. Now I got a good
fan base there now, Oh yeah, yeah, we rock with you.
(26:41):
And if you got us And guesswhat a lot of people from Cleveland,
if you have a strong social mediapresence and follow it, they come in
and see you. They come soyou know, Now, let me tell
you something. I don't know aboutto share this, but when Coco last
trip here was that? When wasyou here like November Cocoa? Yeah,
something like that? When I wasat the improv. Yeah, now check
(27:02):
this out, no not Now,this is how Cleveland is. One of
the one of the opening actuals fromCleveland. Uh, one of the hosts
from Cleveland. The other guy wasopen and that he was from somewhere Florida
and Florida and they both had theyboth had a little little little altercation.
You know what I'm saying. Youdid? I mean there like basically what
(27:27):
happened was and this was something thatkind of blew me because um so basically,
um, the Florida comedian decided tojone on the host who was from
me, because he did have onsome clothes that kind of was reminiscent of
you know, he didn't know theOJ's and hey, real Steve went on
(27:53):
stage and went for blood on thiscat yo. And next thing I know,
I'm on stage doing my not knowingthe day about day have a whole
shoot him up in the green room. What oh dude? It went.
It was so bad the host gotkicked off the show and I'm waiting for
that. So I just said goodnight, waiting for the host to come
back out, and my opener comesout to close the show and I'm like,
(28:17):
okay. So I come off stage, They're like, yo, coo,
oh, no broke loose while youwas on stage. I'm like,
what happened? I think if youknow me, I don't watch what's my
opening comedians, because if I haveto watch you, you're not doing your
job. The only job is toset them up for me. Lovely.
If I have to watch you tomake sure you're doing that, then we
(28:37):
have a problem. So don't Ididn't know that they were going back and
forth on stage. I didn't know, so when I went on stage,
you know, the crowd's kind oflike, you know, and I'm like,
what's wrong? Why y'all shelf shop? You know what's going on?
But yeah, it's like one ofthose things that and I'm thinking to him,
like, dude, I came upin an era of comedy where I
was on road trips with some ofthe baddest Jonas in the world, you
(29:02):
know. I mean I remember beingon the road with d Ray and Corey
and Dion and Talent and JB.Smooth and these cats, and we're in
the car and Rochers, and Imean the joning was just downright disrespectful.
You had to have thick skin, but it also taught you how to snap
back and come back. That's whyI'm never afraid of a heckler, because
I know I got something. Ihave an arsenal because I was raised around
(29:25):
wolf. So for him to getso upset and take it personal that this
comic was joning on him, eitheryou've been out the game too long or
you're going through something. Well.I said all that to say this that,
you know, talking about the Clevelandcrowd, we we embraced it.
We you know, we're voted forwe like, we like, they about
they about to fight, what theyabout to do? You know what I'm
(29:48):
saying. So, and everybody waslike, what's going on? But you
know, Cleveland kind of reminds meof a New York Atlanta mix. That
makes sense, that makes yeah, yeah, it does make yeah. Yeah,
yeah, that's fact. That's fact. Yeah you you yeah yeah.
So I'm from the club owners therethat there have been some social media comics
(30:11):
who have come sold a club outand you know, they thinking, oh
I got this, I sold itout. But if you ain't got the
jokes, Cleveland don't care. No, yeah, Cleveland don't care. They
don't we get pressed for that selfie. If you ain't funny, we don't
care. We don't care. Ifyou're not funny and you're not good at
your craft, we will. Yeah, it don't matter how famous you are,
(30:33):
how many, how many followers yougot. There is flooding. They
will let you know. We're gonnalet you know. We're gonna let you
know you ain't funny, man,get your ass off to stay, they
will. We we we didn't paythis thirty dollars with nothing that we want
each comedy. We're not quite aswe're not quite as bad as New York,
(30:56):
but we're close. Yeah they werereally yeah yeah yeah. You gotta
tighten up, buddy, you gottago back into the green room. Joke.
I'd like to try my new materialbecause if Cleveland likes it, I'm
good. Yeah yeah, yeah, don for real, but Cocoke she slams
every time she comes. I've beenall all the shows she has. I
(31:17):
come when she when she come hereis all good. So you know,
yeah, two one six being representedon the show today. Hey, hey,
we appreciate it. We we loveit. Hey, Jordan, we
love it, man, we appreciateyou, brother Jackson. Yeah yeah yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah, but we got you. Next
time you come up come to Cleveland, man, I got you, bro,
(31:37):
you know we got you. Man. Listen, let me right back.
Don't support Jordan, please, he'sfunny. He's not just social media
funny. He's got some jokes,he's got some material. Support Jordan.
You know what I'm saying. Ican't speak for anybody else, doctor speak
for Jordan. Well, there youhave it. This is the Jeff Brown
(32:01):
Show, and we're back. We'reback. Got my man, Jordan Jackson
lone Coco and Darby. You alreadyknow what we do. Listen. Uh,
man, it's been a great show. Uh, just talking about content
and just being consistent and Cleveland representingat the airprod. Ain't letting nobody slide.
(32:22):
I love it, hey, butyou know, I want to kind
of jump into some hot topics andyou know a Jordians stick around with us
for a few minutes. Um.Uh, John Morant, everybody, I
don't know, everybody's familiar with JohnMorant from Memphis Grizzlies Superstar NBA Superstar was
at a club um as the MemphisGrizzlies were preparing uh to have a game
(32:45):
on away game uh, and waswaving a gun inside of the club.
Since then, he has been indefinitelybenched. And um, there's some speculation,
um as their investigating, as theNBA is investigating that that gun possibly
was carried on the team playing, which is against their policy. UM.
(33:07):
So there's no updates. But UMhere's my concern some of these young stars.
And I'm not being judgmental, butI think, Uh, in one
of our episodes with rough Fans,we're talking about artists, what they call
it artists, Um, development,I think we I think there needs to
(33:29):
be more with you know, theseathletes having development. I know they probably
have that in place, but whenthese athletes are making the type of money
they making and they just make dumbdecisions like that that can cost their career
in hearsty team and organization, Ijust personally think that there's something really wrong
(33:51):
getting the culture. I just personallybelieve that, how is your daddy right
there? Right? And all ofthis is? Man, We're talking about
hundreds of millions of dollars, Bro, you ain't got time for that.
Yeah, all these people depending onyou, I don't understand. At some
time, I get being cool. You know, y'all want to be brothers
(34:14):
whatever, y'all, but it's you'rethe older person here. You're you're the
father, and you ain't nothing thatyou're gonna do. Bro, we can't
message and you're trying to. Youwant to be hard hard for what?
Now? It's so is it?With it all boils down to it,
(34:36):
Let's keep it real. They're doingthat to impress a woman, and because
you got women out here who areimpressed with this type of class. You
know, I mean even in myday, you know, we we're through
our little thug phase. We likethe little d boy, you know,
the thug, the cat on thecorner, whatever, whatever, whatever.
But now it's been taken up anotch because back then it was cats trying
(34:58):
to get the money, trying toget bag. But now it's cast with
the bag who are acting like dudeson the corner. And my thing is,
you know, dude, you outhere flashing a gun for what you
make millions right, I'm thinking aboutone of the gun would have went off
though and kill somebody. It wasso stupid, and he got a two
(35:22):
hundred million dollars contract that exactly exactly, And then women could care less.
You can be a thug or havemoney. You just have one of them.
You got to have boats. Theydon't care. But that's the thing,
you know. They have that debateabout, you know, do you
want a rustle or do you wanta future? You know, and give
(35:44):
me a Russell all day, Giveme a Russell all day. I've been
through the futures and there is nofuture in it. You can have a
rustle, would have a great future, because my man can give you any
future that you won't and you didn'tcome from that. We don't believe you
anyway, You just you don't getto just get anyone that's from the streets.
(36:07):
And then they get to that point, they're not they're not doing nothing
because the street smarters letting them knowthat. Did you let yourself you mess
yourself up anyway when you flash theguns, anybody from the street is not
gonna They're not showing their hand periodlike that. And the whole point,
like the whole point is to makeit you'd have made it not right.
(36:30):
Yeah, well I don't know thattwo ny millions, I don't know.
You don't put that at risk. Now we know one thing about the NBA.
They need him, so he's ina he's in a decent but now
they're not. They can they willmake an example fast that you don't want
to be the person that they makethe exam because that's nothing to play with,
bro. When you when you Ijust I'm just looking at that whole
(36:53):
situation, like man, like,uh that could have just really been bad.
Jordan's like for real, bro,Like that could have just like the
gun would have went off or uhanything, man, I mean, and
you not even you gotta think hemight he might catch your tastes behind that
though. Yeah, you gotta becareful, man, if that thing was
on the airplane and now you gottago through and and no matter. Let's
(37:15):
just say you get exonerated from everything. Okay, you just okay, first
of all, you you just costyour team. You're gonna cost yourself hundreds
of thousands of dollars, if notmillions to to to to get that you.
That was not necessary. It wasn'tnecessary. Bro, You're the future
of the NBA, the true future. Yeah, it's just it's just why.
(37:38):
Well, we'll stay connected and keepyou all posted and updated on any
um um developments that come about thatreal quick. Want to talk about Tyler
Perry and dt Darbiol You was kindof talking about that early in prep and
um, I think that sounded outto be interesting, man, I tell
yeah, Paramount was the owners ofd T. They're looking at selling a
(38:00):
majority of what's called the bt MediaGroup, which includes bt VH one and
all of the other uh secondary Bteam networks and Tyler Perry. According to
reporters in the lead to to purchase. Yeah, well, how much how
(38:20):
much are they talking about for thepurchase of that? I didn't see the
exact amount, but it's definitely gonnabe and it's probably gonna be in the
hundreds of millions most likely. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, I think that's
good. I think that's good forculture, brilliant. I know that he's
been wanting his own network for awhile. Yeah, I was working with
(38:42):
him some years ago, you know, he was talking about that. So
this is all part of the planall along. You know, that might
have been why he left home becausehe knew he couldn't buy own because it
belonged to Oprah. But he's youknow, he came and did a single
handy you know, revitalization of thatnetwork, work with content on b et
(39:02):
and b ET plus. So it'sonly fitting that maybe he be in a
position where he owns it. AndI mean I know that that's always been
his own you know, uh thingyou know Byron Allen did it, you
know with comed So I mean, you know, it's one of those things
that it's only it's only right,it's fitting that he would do that,
and it got some sense they probablylet him buy it because honey, I
(39:25):
mean you know that, you know, you know, uncut honey, we
we we we ain't checking for itlike that. I like it. I
like it, I like the idea. Yeah, and on on top of
that, just to add some moreupdates, So Tyler, as part of
Tyler's deal when he first went tobt UM, he was given a minority
(39:46):
state in bt which is one ofthe reasons why he's positioned to buy the
whole thing. Also, uh,speaking of Byron Allen, Byron Allen is
also making a bid for it,so it may be a little bit war
between the two. But if eitherTyler or Byron owns it, then bt
Black Entertainment Television will be black ownedagain for the first time in over twenty
(40:10):
years. That's what I'm talking about. I love it. I love it.
I love it. Man coming too, So that's that's that's that's great.
Absolutely absolutely I love it. Ilove it, man, I love
it. Give more comic views andthat comedy damn back out of ye So
this talent, please, like seriously, let's take it back, you know,
(40:31):
and and let's take it back tothe authentic stand up. You know
what I'm saying. Let's not popularitycontest. Let's see those people out there
who are truly working the craft, whether they come to the social media world
or traditional stand up. Let's seethe real talent for a change. Let's
take it back to the funny.Speaking of stand up, what about Chris?
What about the Chris Ron Did y'allwatch it? I watched, bitch.
(40:53):
I have not watched it yet.I have not watched it. I've
seen some clips I wasn't know thoroughlyand pressed from the clips I saw,
um how um Honestly for me,because I'm in a place in my life
where my comedy is becoming way moretransparent and I'm and I know that I
can get the laugh, I knowwhere to drop a punchline. But I'm
(41:15):
appreciating the Chris Rocks and the Gerardcar Michaels and the other and the Dion
Coles right now who are going onstage and giving you funny but they're being
completely transparent with ye. And that'swhat I am in my career right now.
So for me where I am,I appreciate it now. I think
(41:36):
Chris could have really went a lotfurther in terms of the material, in
terms of how he could have presentedsome of the things he talked about.
You know you ever, because Iknow Jordan, you know you've been in
the game long enough to watch acomedian and you're like, oh my god,
why do you end it there? You know what I'm saying, like,
Oh damn, you was on aroll. Why do you stop?
(41:57):
You know? Yeah? And Iwas like, ah, that was perfect?
That was a perfect right right thatthat that was the only thing that
I saw. And when I watched, when I was like, oh dude,
why do you stop? Bad,you was like, oh, you
could have said this or you couldhave said that. Oh you know,
but you know, he did histruth as he saw fit. Yeah,
heard his regular voice like that before. You know what I'm saying, it
(42:21):
was he was really really really monotonedown. But you could tell at the
end he everything that he had beenheld and holding in. Yeah yeah,
yeah that that Chris came out.Yeah yeah. I just think that just
from the clips, I just wasn'tthat IMPRESSCOO gotta watch it, though,
I gotta watch it, So Igotta watch it. But based on the
(42:42):
clips you seek, the more Ihaven't. Oh man, no, I
have not. Brilliant Is it brilliant? Because I know my girl, she's
she's a hell of a writer andshe she she she definitely um she she
she brought the heat. She shebrought the heat. I ain't gonna watch
that. Man. Well listen, hey, Jordan, check this out.
