(02:10):
some of the people is listening.Man, Okay, well if they if

I'm trying to I'm trying to stopmy friend from getting stamped. No,
(02:30):
I don't get stapped. Why wouldI get stopped? Why would I get
start out? And women listen, they got friends, and they know I
have friends. But guess what you'llwant to hear something funny though, what
I'm gonna tell you all the truth? What I have decided that it's time
(02:53):
to settle down. What why y'allget so sad when I say that?
Though I don't like that, Imean, I'm gonna here. I'm gonna
pause right now, Darby, Idon't know about you. I'm glad you
was able to breathe because I'm stillstuck. Yeah yeah, yeah. So
(03:16):
all I'm gonna say is this,Jeffrey, please let me meet this incredible
unicorn. Because you're gonna find awoman with the total package that you feel
is good for you, and you'regonna thurn down with one woman, or
you say you gonna turn down withmultiple women, but you're just gonna be
committed. So you know I'm sayingthat, you know, I don't have
(03:38):
a problem me and committed to what. I just have not been in a
space to be committed to more,if that makes sense. Okay, Okay,
so so now I'm say what Udingle? Uh? So I am
single, of ailable, I amcurrently date. I am currently trying to
(04:04):
date with purpose. Not to saythat I don't never date with purpose,
but you know, if it's adifferent purpose, but this is this is
a real you know, you knowyou know what I mean. Anyway,
So I'm dating with a purpose.Okay. Um, I am ultimately and
I would do this before the twod of the episode, right right,
(04:26):
So I am. I am actuallyreally trying to settle down in the near
future. Okay, why why whydo you know? Cocode? You know
what cocode? You know every legendhas to have a legacy, right,
(04:51):
So I want to leave. Iwant to even leg I want't leave a
legacy. You want to do?You want to address that? Of you
want? I let you do.So my legacy. I let she is
that hold on, let me findyou try to come with her trash,
I hear on the trash. Ihear, I hear it. I hear
(05:18):
it coming. Let me, Ihear her a little trash coming right now.
To let me deal with this.Believe it. You got to believe
the something show for me. Forme. I'm you know, I feel
(05:38):
like I can't be uh Jeff Brownuh to everybody. I got to learn
how to be Jeff Brown too more. And so I've done that before and
before. It's a long time atthat time, I have you know,
I've been in situations you know whatI'm saying, like, you know whatever,
(05:59):
But I just knew they were shortterms, so I never really saw
it to be a long term situation. From now years you've been out here
in these streets, oh man,she I've been out in the streets.
Well, I came home in twentythirteen, that long calculating how long you've
(06:27):
been out here, like, can'tthen see, I'm see I had some
inter meaning I had some some situationsbetween the time I came home from prison
up until now. But so let'sjust say from twenty sixteen up until now,
yeah, twenty sixteen up until nowmaybe yeah, twenty twenties, where
(06:50):
you know, I had several situationsI was, you know, I was
dealing with some some some year run, is what you're saying. Yeah,
man, so it's yeah, SoI'm complete, you know what I'm saying.
I feel like I have nothing elseto prove right now. I'm dating
with a purpose. I've you know, I've m Yeah, I've had a
(07:14):
good you know, I've done it. I've had a good time. I
don't have to I have nothing toprove that. And I also believe that
on a serious tip, as Italked that, I believe that there are
more doors to be open for mewhen you have a good woman by your
side. Now, I believe that. So now I am. As my
(07:35):
career continues to expand and opportunities doopen, I need to have somebody that
can match that energy. But it'sa good balance for the energy. So
yeah, that's that's where I'm atwith it. Okay, you're go ahead
with your little trash, Come on, cocoa. I must go up and
(07:59):
listen, because right I mean,if you believe that you are a legend,
or gosh, dang it, you'rea legend. Um. But I
heard I read in this uh articlethat when a man who's been kind of
like out there all of a suddendecides that's ready to settle down. It
(08:20):
usually is because they're realizing their mortalityor something ain't working like it used to
be. Oh well, all mindsis working. I'm good, So I'm
fat. So I don't know whoand who and who wrote that it was.
(08:43):
It was it was in this articleon USA the day that they're saying
that these men would have these wherethey've been like for the streets, and
they're like, I ain't never gettingmarried, I'm living for the streets.
Time out here, for the streets. Something I'm gonna have it or whatever.
And then all of a sudden hesat, aday woman, settle down
and be a one woman. It'sbecause they're reals in the immortality, like
dude, you're about to die alone, or somebody don't want to get up
(09:05):
no more. Well that's I don't. I don't fit none of those categories.
I just felt like it's it's agood look. See I think.
I think I think when we lookat things like that, well they pick
and choose what to put in anarticle. You got me in out here
that's just saying, hey, youknow what, I'm just ready to settle
down. You know, I'm readyto really indulge in this and delve into
(09:28):
this this situation. Uh a littlebit last year, you know what I'm
saying, um um, But I'mmore focused on it now than i've ever
been, if that makes sense. So I was about to say a little
bit last year, and you stillbeen showing your answhole this Sime. So
(09:48):
I'm just saying I'm having a goodjob. You know, I'm saying,
you know, when you're having agood time, how committed are you really?
I am, I'm committed. Iam. I'm you know, I'm
still having a good time, butI'm gonna be committing. I'm having I'm
having, I'm having less I'm having. I have reduced the good time to
(10:11):
the women that I feel is worthmy time and who I want to date
with a purpose. Right they're castingyour pearls among swines. No more.
Now, I don't eat port sono, yeah, you want to you
(10:31):
know, actually be more aware ofwhere your seed goes. Correct. You
know, my buddy Ed told mehe saved it smelled like Colone, leaven
alone and take life, fish eatthe dish. So that really disturbs me
because I live in Atlanta, andyou know that it's a lot of people
(10:54):
out here eating vegan fish and theydon't really it's a lot of vegan fishga.
You know, you know, um, what do they call it?
Me? Me? Uh? Youknow me? You know, beyond meat.
(11:20):
I'm just saying, you remember me, beyond fish. I'm just saying,
like vegan diet. They don't realizethe only vegan diet. Oh they
(11:43):
got they got organic sitch say somethingthey can't. You got menu factor to
break to break. That's not me, that's a plan base. That's the
(12:16):
that's the set. You eatn't tweet? Yeah, right with me. More
hot times y'all by Eaters Willow. That's theee Uh. These days, it
(12:45):
seems like everybody's talking, but noone is actually listening to the things they're
saying. Critical thinking isn't dead, but it's definitely low on oxygen. Join

Hey man, we pat. Ijust want to say for the record that
Coco has discouraged every person who's tryingto eat healthy ingredients, you know,
(13:37):
on your pa and you know whatI mean, nobody, No, nobody's
trying it behind or impossible. Imean, you're eating this plant based meat,
you know, and you live didYou're just not eating a tweed burger,
you know what I mean? Itotally you know, some greener reads,
some spinach. You know. WhenI see when I see black being
(14:01):
burger now venues, I would,I would always think about this conversation.
You'll never look at it exact Iwould. I'm just trying to help you
out. There's a lot of peopleout you don't realize they're on a vegan
diet. They really think they're eatingreal meat and you're not. You ain't
gotta help me because I ain't nobetter chang. But I understand it.
(14:22):
You don't. He Hey, listenfor all diets and and and you think
you're eating healthy and no, reallyit's a cannibalism because you're eating yourself.
(14:43):
Oh my goodness, cannibalism because you'reeating yourself. You know you're eating Yeah,
god, oh man, my head. I got hey man for the
other hots, but we got morehot top of y'all. But we just
want to catch you. I'm justtrying to catch our breath. Yeah,
(15:09):
me too. He walking around andnot realizing you practice practice and cannibalism.
Yeah, you gotta you know that. And there you gotta take a flashlight
in there. You gotta really lookand make sure you know what I'm saying.
It was going, Yeah, youliving right. You ain't living right.
(15:30):
You know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
ain't living right. Everything you seeall these yeah, yeah, very true.
You check the expirations. I wantto Yeah, you know what.
I'm glad you said that everything yousee ain't real. I am. I
(15:52):
am feeling how can I say,not confused? But this blue badge thing
that's been going on owns Instagram andI'm conflicted, right, uh and let
me back up. Elon Mosk, who uh is the owner of Twitter,
(16:17):
has now stripped The New York Times, one of the most historic news outlets
in our country, from their verificationbadge. Okay, uh in Derby,
I think you said it's like onethousand dollars a month now to keep organizations
organizations, right, there's a thousanddollars a month plus if you want to
(16:38):
have any other if you want toverify any other accounts under you, it's
an additional fifty dollars a month ontop of that, right, Okay,
So you know, and I knowa lot of people when they were getting
the blue badges, they were excitedbecause, you know, because you are
notable and everything like that. Now, Um, I've been featured magazines.
(17:00):
I've been featured on news outlets hereright here in my city, which they
are you know, they get nationalattention and everything like that, even Darby
them. So um, And Ithink our show is amazing. I think
we've co code you know, uhin Darby. I think we interviewed some
(17:21):
some major folks, even including youCocode before you even you know, became
a part of the show officially, like you know, major, you know
what I'm saying. Um, Butyet I still didn't meet the criteria to
get a blue badge, right,so um, but that does not devalue
(17:41):
the work that, uh that we'vebeen putting in on this on this platform,
right, and it's legit. It'sa legitimate situation, right we you
know, we know, um,but it's interested now that there's this metaverification
that's going on. It's like fifteenfourteen nine mine, right, right.
(18:03):
And I thought that the meta verificationis good for people who actually have businesses
and things like that, like youknow, the Jeff Brown Show, and
everybody will have access to it.But not everybody got access to it,
no, not at all, Andso it's like I'm conflicted, like do
(18:26):
I want it or do I notwant it? You know, well,
I know at one point it hadgotten to the point that anybody could buy
one, so it started taking awaythe validity of having that blue check.
The blue check used to separate thehalves and the have nots correct. Correct.
Then it got to a point thatpeople were selling blue checks so anybody
(18:49):
could get one for the right price. And now they've made it that no
matter what your status is, youhave to buy one, which also I
think is messed up because one again, like they've done with you know,
Hollywood and social media, they justaway the tears of achievement. Now they've
made it that everyone can get one. That they've got a debt it card.
(19:10):
Yeah, it's kind of weird tome because and I ain't hate man.
You know, if you want tobe very fat, great, you
know I should be. I thinkI legitimately should be very fat. Okay,
Yeah, I kind of I kindof feel some I got mixed emotional
and I'm not taking away from anybody'spersonal page. And told me I had
(19:34):
to start a whole new page, and and I had to pay for verification.
And I've had my page for overa decade with a blue check,
and they just took my page. They just took it. And I mean,
like like stuff like that. That'sweird to me. Like, that's
weird to me, that's weird.I'm like, do I pay the fourteen
(19:57):
any that? Or do I justcontinue to work hard with my ass off?
And and and I'm a blue check. Now anybody can have one.
It takes away the whole of value. Yeah, and that's the value you
mean gave the garbage man can havethe same blue check as jay Z.
No, it shouldn't be that way, but now that yeah, it's like
(20:19):
and I guess I guess we lookat it. We all kind of look
at it a little differently because we'rein this space. But and my my
conflict, like where I'm conflicted aboutit. It's like, I'm not trying
to be elitist, but you know, I got my blue check on Twitter
and Instagram the old fashioned way,and then I had to work hard to
get it, you know what I'msaying. It took a long time to
get Yeah. So it's like andthen now that people can buy it,
(20:42):
like Coaker said, like you youdevalue it at that point, it's not
It's like a participation trophy at thatpoint exactly exactly exactly. So it's like
it ain't it ain't special no more. So why would I pay for one
when now everybody can have one?It used to set me apart is being
part of an elite group of people, and now you have made it that
(21:03):
any Joe Smoke with a debit cardcan have one, So why would I
pay for Yeah? And especially onInstagram like Twitter, they're taken away blue
checks. If you're not paying onInstagram, they're not taking away the ones
that they've already given. So it'sso for people like Cooker and people like
me, it doesn't make any senseto pay for it because if we already
(21:25):
got the blue checking. You're notgonna take it away. Why am I
paying you fifteen thous a month?Right? Right? No, what I'm
saying for a person like myself, who actually has a legitimate platform, who's
been working, who's continuing to work, who's continue to remember my page now
is my second page, remember Derville, because my first page I had,
(21:45):
you know, close to you know, eight thousand followers. Right. My
Instagram page now is the second one. You know, I had to had
to rebuild. So my thing isnow when I look at it, right,
y'all, I'm like, here itis. We're reaching all these people,
you know, through our platform andeverything we do. But yet now
(22:06):
you know, because you're not onc and then or whatever the case might
be, even though you're doing yourthing, you know, your business.
Now you're telling me I'm not qualifiedto get a verification bad And now you're
telling me through the meta verified verification, I can get a badge. Come
on, yeah, you pay fifteendollars of money. Anybody can get it.
Now, I just I don't knowthat. I'm conflicted. But then
(22:27):
my but then my my question islike going back to Coca's point, what's
the if everybody can get it,what's the point of having it now?
Yeah, and then they say, well you get more exposed or you get
more of this, you get moreof that. Okay, yeah, that's
true. They are going to thereare well and then that that starts a
whold another. But my thing isthis, you got somebody like a Beyonce
(22:48):
or a jay z or Rihanna,a Will Smith or whatever what they need
you're exposed to? Yeah, correctpoles like a moment, Yeah you need
you need say this is my realpage. Yeah right, he'll get your
fun blue chat right right right. And that's that's even Lebron said on on
(23:15):
Twitter. He was like, ifthey take my check, I ain't He
said, you know, I ain'tpaying for it, because Lebron is notoriously
cheap. So he's like, y'alltake my check, I ain't paying for
it. Yeah. And if theyif they figure out a way to say
this is my real page and theydon't need your funky little blue chat,
(23:37):
right Dario, So now you're payingwhat ten twenty hours a month over there?
I'm not I'm not saying because Igot to. I got, like
I said, I got the bluechecks, the old fashioned way, and
I still have him and at leaston Instagram. I'm I'm talking about Twitter.
Well on Twitter, you know,I still have the blue check.
(23:57):
He hasn't taken away from yet.But okay, yeah, but I think
it's like eight dollars a month orsomething like that. Over there it's fifteen.
It's fifteen for Facebook and Instagram.Yeah, that that's it. You
just kind of torn on that. One's kind of torn on it and that
(24:18):
and that thing says me. Theyyou know, they they're sending it to
me every day, Hey, getyour menta verification. Get so they're sitting
it to me, you know, not account it's quite as eligible for it.
And then what's the eligibility though, that's a whole other thing. What's
your eligibility for it? Well, they see your eligible. Yeah, well
they see there's not a ton ofeligibility requirements, you know anybody, right,
(24:45):
Like, you know, like what'sthe eligibility? You know what makes
it? And and it's and youknow, again I don't know, You'm
and I'm conflicted on that one.Man. Mean, while I want to
uh, we we gotta go tobreak right now. Yes, okay,
listen, we'll be right back.Uh with more up the Jeff Brown Show
(25:07):
got some more hot topics and um, hey, stay tuned. I'm gonnahere.
You got to go subscribe right now. I heard radio Apple podcast,
Uh, Spotify or wherever it isto your favorite podcast on your favorite listening
the Blacks. We'll do right back. This is the Jeff Brown Show.
Hey, we're back and way backand we're back. Oh man, man,
(25:30):
what a show. Uh it's cool. So listen. Um before we
get out of here, Darby,I gotta talk about uh this um situation.
Okay in Pennsylvania. In uh,in the court in Greene County,
Pennsylvania, Okay, a man wassentenced by the name of Matthew Perry three
(25:55):
thousand years in prison um making. This is one of the longest prince prison
sentences in both Pennsylvania and in thehistory of the United States. Okay,
in the US period, and hewould not be eligible for parole to the
year thirty five on three. Thisman was found guilty on thirteen thousand,
(26:22):
one hundred forty three felonies un heardup wait wait wait wait wait wait you
said how many thirteen thousand, onehundred forty three felonies for child pornography and
child abuse, sexual sexual print. So so the judge the citizens should sent
(26:45):
this man in three thousand years.According to article on Fox News I read
now, that is incredible. Heshould listen. He should be in jail
for that a long time. Butto say he's eligible for parole, come
on, they should have just saidlife. They were trying to be nice
(27:11):
about it. They were trying tobe diplomatic about it. You're still eligible
for parole, you know, youstill three dollars? Three dollars would on
Earth be around for it? Threads, It probably don't be. Probably we'll
be in the new Heaven and theNew Earth at that and be like,
hey, man, what's up,Darmio. You made it up? I'll
(27:37):
be like, man, I can'tbelieve you up in here. Man,
you made it? You ain't.Your little people still ve you should have
did that in Earth? Man,I thought you left that in Earth.
Yeah. Th saw twenty three,Yeah, I mean thirty five, twenty
(28:02):
three, thirty I mean, Idon't even That's why I'm like the judge
trying to be funny. Man Like, man, I just not say life.
It's over. The sentence is definitelyappropriate, and it was a great
sentence. The sentence is appropriate, but to break it down to a fight
(28:25):
nite like that, and for Pennsylvaniato say he's elegant for pro for thirty
thirty five twenty three, Dave Pattytoo. You know what, man,
I'm gonna say. That's why I'llbe understanding man. The criminal justice system
is something else. Man. Thefact that they were even able to total
(28:45):
that, The fact that they wereeven able to total that, darvil,
it speaks volumes, right, youknow. So so for me, I'm
I'm like, you know, hey, man, at the end of the
day, thirty five twenty three, okay, yeah, yeah, they could
have life. Life, life.I mean, is this you think the
(29:18):
jails is being petty? I do. I do, like real talk.
And here's the thing, like yousaid, we're not saying that the stents
wasn't justified. He should be buriedunder the jail for what he did.
The system was absolutely just But it'slike, come on, you can just
say life, like, dude, you're not getting out, Like, let
(29:41):
me look at my parole date.Like you know, like some brothers when
they go into jail and parole, they look forward to the parole date.
How are you even gonna look atyour pain. You throw that thing away.
Hey man, it's crazy, brother. And it's like I would have
looked at the I would have Iknow, the defense attorney. I had
to look at the judge like whywould you just I just can't say life,
(30:06):
because you know his colleague is gonnabe probably talking about him, like,
hey man, your clock has sentenceto three thousand kids and it's eligible
for parole in thirty five twenty three, Like, just say life, say
it? But you know what youknow. On one hand, I think
(30:26):
that the judge said it should theguy can mentally understand you're you're dying in
prison. You're a dirty dog,and you're dying in prison. You deserve
every bit of this sentence, nodoubt. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're a dirty dog. You're touchingkids and you know and you know what
though, and every person that dochild pornography and do stuthing like that,
(30:51):
they automatically should get life in prison. Yeah why you even pretend? Why
pretend? Yeah you do stuff?Yeah yeah, just like president with no
paro? Yes, what do youwanna be at thirty five twenty three?
Come on, it's just crazy tome. Man um also too, not
(31:12):
much on it. We understand thatum the ex president as well, just
throwing it out there. Uh,Donald Trump, UM has been he will
be a rank based on grand juryvoting moving to indict him based on and
here goes his involvement, uh allegedlywith some hush money with Stormy Daniels.
(31:38):
Uh. Now Stormy Daniels. WIunderstand she's a she's a she's a point
star. Yeah, she's a pornstar. H Every president, every president
got one. Whoa boy? Man, it's just a man is a man.
(32:00):
Man. We gotta go jas Hey, man, I listen, the
name Stormy is just it's a redflat on. You know. I gotta
add it and then we gotta go. You remember when there was a picture
(32:23):
when Obama was president and he wassitting next to this fine fine prime minister
some country. Okay, next thing, you know, Michelle moved out.
Oh listen, yeah, hell no, yeah, right right right listen man,
(32:50):
all right, man, hey, listen, hey, what is she
learning today? Man? I learnedthat you would be a message president,
and I learned I agree with youon that one. Listen, and I
would never mess with nobody named Stormy. So at the end of the day
