Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're love guys. Welcome, Welcome to dream Hack Day two.
Day two with the one and only Punch the most
famous come on listen is day two. You were here
for day one? Yeah, all right, we're talking. Let's let's
do a little recap. It was nice to see how
many Rumble creators showed the fuck up yesterday.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Man, there had to be at least two dozen just yesterday.
And I know we had very very last minute guys
show up early this morning. I was getting messages six seven, eight,
nine o'clock today, Flights were landing, people were boarding. Everybody
is ready.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
For this event.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Man.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yes, I think it's very exciting. Especially it's a lot
different than you know, any other gaming convention because I
think that this is more creator Yes, yeah, absolutely, you don't.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
You know, this is kind of my first experience with
this sort of thing. But from what I can gather,
you know, even Twitch Con was not full of you know,
creator like this. It was a lot of real business
being done, but it wasn't really creator focused. And that's
that's the thing that I'm really enjoying, not only about
this event, but just the community.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
The tier. Yeah, I think that, uh, the fact is
a lot of creators are coming out here. They're really
showing face, and not only that putting putting themselves out there, right,
especially you you've been working with a new platform. Congratulations.
I think that's huge, thank you're saying. And not only
that exposure, right, exposures is huge. So I guess tell
(01:30):
us pick Acts As a creator, what can I look
forward to for a platform like that, especially for let's say,
for instance, I do gaming, right, Yo, what can I
use that to help myself kind of get to that
next level? Well?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, yeah, I think that pickax is really good for
monetization and scaling for the creator.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I don't know what one it is. It is, uh,
it's it's really creator focused.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
We want to build the monetization platform for each creator
to make them say access. Well, my title is literally
director of Creator Success, right, So you know it's my
job to make sure that you do well, that the
big guys do well, that the small guys and new
guys do well. And part of that is creating an
(02:13):
infrastructure where we can let the older, wiser, more experienced
creators come in and teach and mentor the younger new
creators and vice versa. Those younger creators will teach the
older ones, like bring them back down to earth, because
you know how it is we get up here, we
kind of forget about the simple stuff. And that's one
(02:35):
of the things that we want to bring to peck Ax,
the value of if you're a new creator, there's an
opportunity for you to learn from some of the big
guys that you would never have an opportunity to have
an opportunity for or to begin with.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
And then on top of that, just in general, I think.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
That it's really good for gamers, especially to diversify their content.
You know, we see us going out on like TikTok
and reels and all of those things for like video content,
but I think it's really valuable to hear your voice,
you know, write an article, have people subscribe, and you
do live chats and you just do hangouts with people
(03:10):
like that and have being on multiple platforms and and
seeing you as a full circle creator and not just
your gaming because not everybody does that on their stream
and they're a different person kind of in their Twitter
or on you know, a blog or something.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Like that exactly, and it's it's tough to do that
on Twitter or even on Facebook and Instagram and pick
Ex gives you that opportunity and you can build a
subscription to here for that as well. Amazing, I'm getting
these buttons or guys, I don't know how to do
these buttons, but I think it's great and like I said,
all alternative platforms, and I think I think you have
(03:44):
somebody here right Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, we got our CEO, Jeff Tornick over here. This
guy Jeff is over here hanging out with us at
uh at dream Hack.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Behind the platform here.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, yu, come on in here, man, tell us, tell
us a little bit more about Pickax. What's going on, man, Yeah, Well, like.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
With with with Pickax, what what we're doing really is
just having a platform that's designed for creators, and so
we're doing full Rumble integration where if you post a
Rumble link, it'll automatically populate the video so that way
it's playable in the news feed as well as for creators.
You can actually link your Rumble channel to your pick
Axe account. It'll auto post the videos in real time,
(04:27):
so if you go live, it'll post it on a
pick Axe be playable right there.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
And then we actually had somebody.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
That did a test where they they posted a Rumble
video to see how many monetized views that they get
just by posting it on a pick Axe. They got
like an extra like six hundred with our minimal amount
of users that are on the platform right now.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
So it's been really cool, so amazing, amazing. So I
guess what what do you look forward in the next
couple of months for pick Ax? How do you guys?
Are a lot of exciting things happening right? Yeah, we
got we got a lot going on.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
We're dropping the app in the next couple of weeks amazing,
which is gonna be awesome. And we'll have the Umble
integration on the app as well, which took a lot
of work to make that to happen. But then by
the end of the year, we're also gonna have an
email newsletter component as well to where to where to
make it so much easier to communicate with your audience.
And then you own your email list. That's something that
you as a creator own, so which.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Is highly valuable, especially for marketing. For you as a
as a creator, right to get that sort of data
is so valuable because you could get that outreach, you know, instantaneously.
So that's amazing. Now available iOS Android.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, so right now, it's on the website right now,
and then more beta testing both. It'll be on Android
and iOS in the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Nice exciting, exciting, I guess I don't know anything. You
want to share anything, any any any sneak peeks.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
One thing I do want to point out that I
think is really really important for this platform and where
Rumble especially is the fact that that Rumble integration hikkaks
is the only map that's doing that right now, right
as though you natively are posting inside the feed, nobody
else doing that.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Oh yeah, well yeah, and so like I know, True
Social does it for on the web version, but for
the app, nobody else has done it. And a lot
of it, to be honest, is because of how much
data flows to the app. Because if you have a
news feed of let's say, ten Rumble videos that are
showing up there, it's gonna send so much data and
just overload your app. So we figured out how to
(06:22):
do it to where it only sends one whichever video
you're actually gonna populate, kind of a thing.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
So it took a lot of work about it, that's right,
and honestly, it's it's very important for integration, especially Rumble
being a new entity in the streaming world. To have
platforms like pick acts be compatible with it brings so
much value to the table for creators because it's at
that seamless sort of transition totally. So I look forward
to So how can they sign up? How easy it is?
(06:48):
What's the go through process for a creator to sign
up for Pickax?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Right?
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, so right now, if you go to pickax dot com,
you guys can sign up right now.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
And we do free verification.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
As well, because we want to weed out the boss
and the anonymous accounts, all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
So you get verified, We'll get you verified right away.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
And then if you want to be a creator and
participate in our monetization and all that, then you just
signed up to be a creator. A very simple process
like takes like three minutes to sign up and then uh,
and then you can join that and then that's when
you'd be able to link your Rumble channel to your
pick Axe account and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
So amazing.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
And then this guy's actually are our direct director of
Creator Success.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Which congrat you guys, great, great guy. He's done a
lot of great work for Rumble. So I'm excited to
see him drive with pickacts and fill that PID and
with creators because I think it's gonna be a good thing.
But Jeff, thank you so much. Thank you. I appreciate
you being here and that we appreciate you supporting Rumble
because that's that's huge. I want to see Rumble win.
That's huge. You gotta make it happen. And by the way,
they did ad reads on Rumble too, which was amazing,
(07:44):
giving the opportunity for creators to actually earn while streaming
on the platform.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
So yep, we've been using that very heavily and that's
been one of our best advertising successes is using the
library program.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
So excellent, excellent. Thank you Jeff so much. I appreciate
your time. Yes you you heard it here first. I mean, honestly,
the amount of platforms that are starting to adapt Rumble now,
I think is very critical in this age of growth.
Right yeah, me and you have been and seen Rumble
from the early stages to what it is now.
