Jeff Dornik joins The Andrea Kaye Show to expose the political theater unfolding in California as Gavin Newsom signs radical laws on AI regulation and slavery reparations. Beneath the surface of “progress” lies a strategy to divide Americans, control law enforcement, and buy loyalty through identity politics—all while grooming himself for a presidential run. Jeff pulls back the curtain on how the same technocratic spirit driving AI control is now infecting government itself, weaponizing compassion for manipulation and votes. This conversation isn’t just about California—it’s a warning for the entire nation.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Welcome back to tonight's Andrea kas Show. I'm loving that
little zydeco sound and bump of music. I am missing
me some norm Do you know what it means to
miss New Orleans?

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I do.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I miss it so so much, but I'm stuck here
in call me Fournia. And while I'm here, I love
living in San Diego. Let me tell y'all, y'all know
how much I love the beaches here, but let me
tell you, it's getting harder and harder to justify staying
here with what is happening in the state. Here to
discuss the latest is fellow Cami Fournia resident Jeff Dornick.
He's founder and CEO of Pickaxe, which is the groundbreaking

(01:58):
new social media platform built on two principles that should
be a part of every other social media platform and
they're not actual freedom of speech and freedom of reach.
He's also got a new book out called Following the Leader. Hey, Jeff,
welcome back.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Thanks for having me. I'm been looking forward chat with
you again.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Alrighty so okay. So Gavin Newsom has signed in addition
to AB four ninety five that we talked about Monday, now,
he has signed into law, AI regulation as well as
slavery reparations. What are we looking at here, Jeff Dornick.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, I mean, in all reality, when it comes to
the when it comes to the especially when he comes
to the reparation stuff, I mean, it's just bonkers. And
it's clear you're looking at somebody like Gavin Newsom. He's
preparing to run for president in twenty twenty eight and
he's into if you look at us rhetoric, he's speaking
as the moderate quote unquote sane alternative to Trump and

(02:58):
the MAGA crowd and all that. But then when you
actually look at US policies, his policies are placating to
the to the far left extremist crowd, and so so
he's kind of trying to play both sides to a
certain degree, and it may it may actually get him
the nomination on the Democrat side. The question is, uh,
whether or not, you know, the middle of the road

(03:19):
every day people that aren't paying paying attention to politics
are going to see through his charade. I think specifically
when when we're dealing with it with the AI stuff,
you know, I think that there are definitely a lot
of a lot of regulations that do need to be
that do need to be put into place when it
comes to a I, especially when you're dealing with with
kids and all of that. I mean, Elon Musk has

(03:40):
announced that they're going to have you know, Grock AI. Uh,
that's gonna be targeting for kids. I think you're calling
it baby Grock and some different things like that. So
there's definitely some limitations and the regulations that we do
need to put in. Uh. The problem is that Gavin
Newsom pretty much every time he does anything, he goes
way overboard, just as almost every Democrat does. It makes yeah,
it's work.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, for the AI we're talking about Senate Bill five
twenty four. It focuses on transparency and the use of
AI by law enforcement agency. So you know, so we
know what this is about. This is about how can
we regulate and how can we control what's happening with
law enforcement so that they can continue to foamate, foment,
and foster their anarchy and lawlessness across the country by

(04:24):
targeting law enforcement. It requires it any police report or
official document generated with the help of AI must clearly
disclose that fact and identify the technology used. So audit
trails and It's just more red tape and burdensomeness and
crap imposed upon law enforcement to make it more difficult
for them to do their job. It's not about any

(04:46):
protections for the American people when it comes to I
want to talk about the slavery you mentioned. This is
Senate Bill five eighteen, and it establishes quote the Bureau
for Descendants of American Slavery within the CA California Department
of Justice. That's where the bureau is going to be.
We know that California was not I'm not aware Jeff

(05:07):
Dornick of a plantation that existed during back during slavery
here in California. But this new bureau under this bill
will be responsible for verifying eligibility, processing claims, and recommending
forms of restitution for descendants of enslaved African Americans. The
law also gives Californians whose families were dispossessed of property

(05:31):
through racially motivated eminent domain the right to seek compensation.
This is this talk about your idea of what the
repercussions of this and the implications of that might be.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, I mean, like you said, as far as I know,
a slavery was not a major thing that was happening
in California, you know, you know, in the same way
that it was like in the South and all that.
So it is interesting that he's doing this to me.
It just goes to show that he is doing what
Democrats always do and pander to the African American community,
and in all reality, he knows that that Trump and

(06:10):
Republicans have been gained massive ground within the African American
community over the last several election cycles, and so he's
trying to play play the typical Democratic game where they're
not actually going to truly fix anything. They might just
throw a little bit of money at the problem and
all that. Now, the one area where where I think
that there could be some legitimate, you know, restitution would

(06:32):
be in some of the eminent domain claims that that
have It makes the more that I've looked into it,
there there was definitely and that these are things that
can be verified. And there's been a few different instances
where an African American family lost their property, like beachfront property,
and it was taken in order to put in a
hotel or whatever it was, you know, you know, several
decades ago, whereas if the family would have had it,

(06:53):
there would have been a legitimate claim that they could
have made a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Well, however, you know, I'm aware of white people in
this country losing their property to emminent domain.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yes, no, that that that that that is all. That
is also very true the the so there there was,
there was a couple of instances, and I think that
there was actually one specific instance.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Where it might might have been in Manhattan Beach.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
It might it might it might have been. So there
have been a handful of instances where they were where
they were able to show that there was racially motivated things,
where they were going after after African Americans and over
over you know, white people. Let's say, however, those are
those are verified things that where the government came in
and did something wrong, and so then the government should

(07:36):
have the should have the ability to make that right.
I agree with that when you're when you're dealing with
split with slavery, now you're dealing with and with things
that it's very difficult, if not impossible, to prove it's
in a state where slavery did not exist, and and
and and and already, with so much immigration that we've
had over over the last century and a half since then,

(07:57):
why why punish people that not own slaves, they're not
the descendants of slaves, in order to pay restitution to
people that can't prove that they are the descendants of slaves.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah. Absolutely, where's my reparations? On my mother's side, we
were Native American. We used to call them American Indians.
I don't know what the terminology is now. I mean,
where's my check?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
You know? So?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I mean what about what about the Italian Americans that suffered?
So it's just h Ultimately, this is about what it's
always about for Democrats. It's about dividing us. It's about
telling certain groups of people that they've been victimized by
this horrible country. Therefore they're entitled to something that the
Democrats are going to give them, so that they're they're
basically buying votes. And then that's how he thinks scaven

(08:41):
Newsom thinks he's going to get into the White House.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Wait, that music tells me we're out of time. Jeff
