Speaker 1 (00:00):
What saved it.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
That wasn't almost live on air? Guys, what is going on?
I believe are live. I'm gonna look up my stream
right now just to see. This is the first time
I have been live in two weeks.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Getting ready for DreamHack over the past two weeks has
been one of the most exhausting, phenomenal experiences in my
life up until today, or rather this weekend, when we
came in and actually performed and showed up here at DreamHack. Guys,
(00:40):
welcome to Punch TV. Yo, yo yo, What is going on?
I am so glad that every single one of you
guys are here. We have sitting here with us at
the Sure booth. We got the CEO of one of
your favorite social media platforms, pick Acts, Jeff Dorning. What's
going on?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Man?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Man, I gotta say this event has been super cool.
I've been to a lot of events. First Gamer event
for me, but like all it's like hitting all of
your senses like all at once. It's got the sound,
it's got the visuals, got the lights, got the stuff.
But I think the coolest thing has been just the people,
especially in the Rumble community. Like everybody's super positive. It's
(01:19):
it's a very collaborative effort and it feels like everybody's
got each other's back and it's an actual legitimate community.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I agree, I agree absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
What so what is it that Pickaxe is doing here? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
So, so we're just coming in, like hanging out and
getting to meet a lot of a lot of the
gamers because, honestly, thanks to this guy right here, like,
we've been getting a lot of the of the Rumble
gamers coming over to Pickax, and a lot of that
is because of our Rumble integration where Rumble videos are
playable in the news feed, you can connect your Rumble
channel to Pickaxe for auto posting whenever you go live.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
So so we've been getting an influx of that.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
So then come into an event like this where it's
like you're actually putting a face to the name, and
I think that that's been really cool to where now
you're starting to get that human to human connection with people,
which is really what we're all about with big.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
X, right right, I love that.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
What kind of reception have you seen from the Rumble
crew or from dream hacking kind of the community you're
on here of the Rumbo crew, guys, I really wish
that you could get a three sixty fue of everything
that's been going on here. This has been the most peaceful,
disruptive moment I think that Rumble has seen in a
(02:33):
very long time.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, well, I think the really cool thing about it
to me, it feels like you've got all these Rumble
gamers that are right here, yeah, and they're all congregating
around this move. But then you're going around You've seen
everybody with the Rumble hats and the Rumble jerseys and
the shirts, and they're just like everywhere. But what's really
interesting But there it's like you see somebody else from Rumble, yeah,
and you're like, oh, they're one of us.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yeah, it's really it's really cool. And then you're getting
people walking up and they're asking, like, what's the thing
about Rumble? What's going on?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Like like it's peaking people's interest because there's it's it's
this kind of takeover that's happening here a dream at Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, yeah, we've called we've been calling it for years
when Rubble takeover is happening right here, guys, Prime pods,
the bearding way cheap shot. My guy sitting right over
here behind the camera, Uh, hanging out in the chat
EO D while he's on the road home. Good to
see every single one of you guys. Uh so so, Jeff,
you know you talked about the the gamers coming over here.
(03:30):
What is it uh to to pick Acts? What is
it that we are building on pick Acts that uh,
that gamers can really benefit from. We've got a lot
of different facets, a lot of things in the in
the the plan moving forward. What does it that the
gamers have to look forward to coming on pick Acts?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
So, so, like like I said before, when when you're
when you're coming over? Obviously we've got the Rumble integration,
which has been a huge hook for a lot of
the gamers coming over. But primarily the big reason for
that is you finally have a social media platform that
you can promote your Rumble live streams. Because if you're
on one of these other platforms fill in the blank,
X TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, they all basically ding you in
(04:11):
the algorithms, that's right, if you post an outbound link,
and so it makes it very difficult for it doesn't
matter what industry you're in, but if you're trying to
promote your video offline. It makes it almost impossible for
you to actually build your account because you get dinged
unless you pay them, and a lot of people don't
want to actually do that absolutely. So that to me,
(04:32):
I think is a huge, huge benefit of coming over
to a platform like Pickax is when you build your audience,
you can send them over to Rumble. Also the Rumble
videos alive or playable right there in the news feed.
But then also on top of that, you're not dealing
with the algorithmic manipulations where you have AI basically telling
you what you should be seeing instead of you saying, well,
(04:52):
I follow this person, so I want to see their content.
So that's another huge benefit. The other cool thing, which
is a sneak people coming down the pipeline is by
the end of the year, we're gonna have an email
newsletter feature, which I think is gonna be huge. That
is is not utilized by a lot of gamers when
they're promoting their content, So this is another avenue for you.
You can build an email list and then you know,
(05:15):
the morning of you're gonna do a live stream, you
get you send out an email to your entire you know,
audience and say hey, I'm going live at six o'clock,
here's the game I'm playing, Here's who I'm gonna be
playing with or against.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
And then now now you're basically.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
You have direct access and direct communication with your audience.
And that's something as a creator, you own that email list.
So if you wanted to take that off a big accent,
go somewhere else, you could just download the CSB.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
You you own that. If you're on another platform, you
don't own your following.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
And I think that that's gonna be a huge huge
benefit to a lot of creators.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Your ages for me, yeah, uh yeah, I absolutely absolutely
agree with that.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
What in your opinion, what is it that you think
as gamers coming over to the platform, What are some
of the other tools and facets of our platform that
you think gamers should be activating on.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, so so, I so I think obviously there's there's
just the posting and building a community, but what one
of one of the one of the other things that
to really to really take advantage of would be taking
advantage of our monetization because we have that built in
and if you're on Rumble, you can kind of double dip.
And this is the thing that a lot of people
haven't really thought through. But if you're monetizing on Rubble,
(06:27):
then you obviously you can take advantage of the live reads,
you can take advantage of of their revenue share and
all that. But the nice thing is when you post
your Rumble video onto Pickaxe, you're still taking advantage of
the monetized videos.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
You're getting monetized views.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
You're not just getting you know, we're stripping the ads out,
You're still getting that kind of revenue coming in. But
then you can also take advantage of our revenue share
that we're gonna be rolling out. You can take advantage
of our paywall, you can take advantage of our even
we're putting building out in an affiliate advertising you know
system in place to where you can promote more products.
We've got that built into the platform so that you
(07:02):
can double dip actually and earn the same like double
the money by posting on a Pickaxe as opposed to
just encouraging everybody to watch on Rumble, which which again
we want to help Rumble win because you know, I
don't want to be competition with them. I want to
help them win because they're doing an amazing job. But
I also want to help you to be able to
amplify your revenue streams that are coming in. So that way,
(07:25):
you know, maybe maybe you can take it from a
part time gig, do a full time gig like or
from a completely amateur not getting paid at all to
make it a little bit of money. So if we
can start doing that, I think we can really take
over this space in a way that no other social
media platform is thinking.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I really agree, agree, Jeff, thank you so much for
coming on the show. Born serf Man. Tell everybody where
to find you be super selfish and how to get
signed up for pick.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
As honestly, go to Pickax pick a x dot com.
You guys can sign up today follow me over there
as well. But on one of the things that I
highly encourage everybody when you sign up, makes you guys
get verified. That way, you guys get your blue check
mark that helps to weed out the bots in the
anonymous accounts. And then once you're verified, you can apply
to be a creator. Super simple process. But that's when
you can hook up your rumble channel to your Pickax account,
(08:09):
begin to earn some revenue share and some money and
all that kind of stuff. So those again, best thing
to do sign up at p I c k a
x dot com. The app is dropping here in the
next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that as well,
because that's gonna be a game changer.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Awesome, Jeff, Thank you man. Appreciate it everything you do.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yep, all right, guys, thank you so much for coming in.
