Speaker 1 (00:21):
What is going on? Everybody? Welcome, Welcome, Welcome back to
another edition of the John and Randall Football Experience. My
name is John Avino, and with me, as always is
my guy Randal Manoue Randall. We've made it through ten
weeks of the season already.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Can you believe it? Yeah? John, I can because after
week one follows week two, and then you just keep
on going on that pac and next thing you know, boom,
here we are ten weeks in, and I can believe
it because you know what they say, time flies when
you're having fun, and we're having a great time watching football.
Bettan on football and most support talking football.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Oh that was very well put, man, I appreciate that
sentiment for you. We are just two weeks away from Thanksgiving,
so it's good to hear you getting a little bit
into the holiday movie.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
John. I'm always in the holiday move Come on now,
you know me. I'm always grateful and thankful for you
in the show.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
I know you are, all right. Well, I think we
should jump right in with quick hits, as we always do.
Quick hits, all right, Randal, and we're gonna start with
this Steelers and Washington Commanders game. What an ending it
was to this one Russell Wilson's throwing a touchdown pass
to Mike Williams. Mike Williams with the Instagram posts, not

(01:45):
sure if you saw that where he put hashtag redline's
call back to Aaron Rodgers calling him out on the
on the play when he didn't run the right route
when he was trying to throw a ball to him
a couple of weeks back when he was still a
member of the Jets. But the reason I bring this
game him up first as our quick hit is not
only because the Steelers won a dramatic game against Washington,
a really good football game, but also because of the

(02:07):
magnitude of this whole Mike Williams and Jets thing kind
of coming to a head. The Jets have been so bad,
Mike Williams ends up playing hero for the Steelers, who
just continue to find ways to win games. And I
can't decide what the funnier part of the story is
the fact that the Jets thought that they would be
fine once they got rid of him, or that Mike

(02:27):
Williams goes somewhere else and immediately wins a football game
for somebody else.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I mean, you can go with either or I think
him calling how Aaron Rodgers with the red line was
absolutely hysterical. Then when asked, they asked Aaron Rodgers I
believe it was yesterday or today, saying hey, did you
see what Mike Williams tweeted? He said no, They told him.
He said, I love for Mike Williams. I love him,

(02:54):
but I thought that was hysterical, absolutely hysterical. And he
goes from a losing team and frankly absolute shit team
to a team where it's like, man, this guy could
win the division.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, I mean the way they're playing. They're seven and
two right now. The Steelers team has really gotten off
to an excellent start in the first nine games of
the year. They might be the most slept on team
the league because when every he talks about the AFC,
they talk about the Bills, they talk about the Ravens,
they talk about the the Chiefs. I know that's a
kind of a trigger word for you, but nobody's really

(03:31):
been talking about the Steelers as a true, true contender,
and I'm here to tell you I think it's I
think it's trending that way, and this win kind of
did it for me, and it kind of happened also
quickly at the very end there, Oh my good, Washington
goes up six, and then not even thirty seconds later
is when that field that touchdown happens. So you could

(03:51):
be groaning all you want, but this win for me
was probably the most impressive win that I've seen the
Steelers have this year, and maybe maybe the most impressive
win for any AFC team so far this season.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
I think they're like the Kansas City Chiefs, man, they
get lucky.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Well, you just don't like either one of those teams.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I don't like either one of those teams. But all
I'm saying is I think, all right, in all fairness,
I do think the Steelers are more contenders than pretenders,
and I would honestly put them higher in my rankings
than the Chiefs. And we're gonna get to that game
in a second.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
But we will.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I know you probably want to if we want to
use this quick hit to segue into that Steelers.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Well before we do that, I mean, before we get
into the Chiefs at all. I mean, do you think
you just said it, but do you actually give the
Steelers a legitimate chance in the AFC against the you know,
the Bills even if you don't think the Chiefs are
up there in the upper echelon. Do you think the
Steelers could be an actual Super Bowl team at the AFC?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
How could they? How could they not? Yeah? Right? Like
how I mean the defense just very very very impressive
to me. Okay, their defense is top notch. And Russell
Wilson's doing better than I think any of us really predicted,
you know, and they're moving the ball. They're scoring a

(05:22):
lot more points than what they were doing with justin fields,
that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It's definitely been more consistent. And I think you're seeing
a guy that's not afraid to throw the ball down
field because he's been there before, he's done it before,
he's had success. And I can't think of a guy
and a good system. Yeah he is, and I think
he's got the perfect situation coaching wise too. But I
really can't think of another guy quite like what Russell
Wilson went through for two years. You know, he goes

(05:46):
somewhere after being a Super Bowl champion. He kind of
kind of fell out of public favor too. I Mean
it wasn't just like he was playing bad football. People
kind of looked at him like he was a joke
for a couple of years there with the whole Russ
Cook thing, and you know, they hemates not liking certain
things he was doing. But his kind of image, I
think is starting to rebound because he's not only playing well,
they're winning games, but he's kinda he's not saying silly things.

(06:10):
He's to me, he's kind of coming back around. Is
a guy that is not that hard to root for.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
You mean the silly stuff like Bronco Country.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
That's raid, Yeah, that's what I mean. And Bronco Country
looked like they were going to ride to a win
over the Chiefs. The Broncos technically, as of today, still
hold the last wild card spot in the AFC at
five and five. However, winning this game on a field
goal would have gone a long way to helping them

(06:42):
towards a playoff birth potentially with still a lot of
time to go, obviously, but it also would have been
the first loss for the Chiefs and Randal. We've been
talking about it all season long, the Chiefs not having
the same kind of year that we're used to them having,
but they're still nine to zero, and Mahomes has been
the kind of guy who's been at the center of
this because his play has been poor, to say the
least compared to what we've seen him do over the years.

(07:05):
But the fact remains that this team just continues to
find different ways to win games. And in fact, this
past Sunday, they literally blocked a field goal to win
a game. Thirty plus yard field goal. Wasn't like this
was sixty yards out. So they found yet another way
to stay undefeated, which I know drives.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
You insane, It really does. It drives me insane for
a couple of reasons. John, I'm always looking at games
like tonight. Me and you were talking right before the
game about the NBA, right and we were talking about
how I'm like, oh, Philly, great odds. Right now, they're
down a couple plus four point fifty, let me rip

(07:46):
them right now. You're like, but they're going up against
Cleveland with Joe alout, Max out, so and so out,
Cleveland's undefeated. I'm like, they're due for a loss. Cleveland's
due for a loss. This is one of those games
where the loss is gonna happen. That's what I was thinking.
The reason why for that is that's what I was
thinking was gonna happen with Denver over Kansas City. I

(08:06):
live bet Denver at like plus one eighty while they
were up I think they were up six at the time,
maybe I forget what They were up three maybe, and
I'm like, this is the game. And then they get
the first down with two minutes to go. Then they
keep on march, keep on marching. I'm like, wow, I'm
actually gonna hit this bet. Meanwhile, I put a hefty

(08:29):
penny on it, hefty hafty penny. So let's just say
I would have been extremely, extremely happy had this bet
hit John. But next thing you know, I'm watching the
live stats in the hard rock gap down here for betting,
and the clocks is showing zero and the score is

(08:50):
showing the same thing. I'm like, it was a thirty
two yarder, basically a pat Maybe they just didn't update
it yet. And next thing you know, the line it
shows always the play that just happened, and it shows
field goal blocked. I'm like, you got to be kidding me.

(09:10):
I'm like, there's no way Kansas City just won on
a thirty yard block field goal. And when I saw
the highlight, I couldn't. I thought, this guy just what
an idiot. He hit it low. No, that left tackle
got destroyed. He looked like he got ran over by
a mack truck. John. I mean, and if you looked

(09:31):
ESPN today showed a couple of the previous pat attempts
and field goal attempts earlier in that day by by Denver,
and that guy was getting blown up. So like every time,
more and more they kept getting closer and closer, and
next thing, you know, boom, they destroyed that guy. So

(09:52):
I give him credit for that. They knew and planned
that they were gonna be able to get that happen
to happen, so I give him credit for that. Other
than that, John, another sneaky win for them, I don't
like it. They stink in my book.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
I could tell how much this hurts you and how
much money you must have put on this just because
of how much how in depth you're going in on it. Yeah,
I mean, you were really invested. I could tell. But
I will say this, I mean, for as weird of
a year as it's been for them, I've said this
pretty much every week, you have to be at least

(10:26):
a little bit of afraid of the fact that they
could basically, you know, go two and five the rest
of the way, and they probably still make the playoffs.
But aside from that, we again, I'll say it. I've
said it once, I'll say it again. Patrick Mahomes has
not played nearly to his capability. So if you're telling
me that all of a sudden, him and some of
these players are going to figure this out a little

(10:47):
bit and they're still winning games even when they haven't
done that, I'm not gonna bet against them in any
given safe situation. I was gonna tell you, actually, you
should probably start emotionally hedging by betting on the Chiefs,
because it would make you happy if they lost, But
if they don't lose, then you'd at least have the
money on your side. But when you do the other
way around, it's like betting on your own team and

(11:08):
then having them lose, because then you're doubly upset, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
No, I completely get that. I completely get that, and
I and I agree John that maybe he has for
my own mental psyche. I need to start doing that
because then, because then I need to either I'll be
making money if they win, and if they lose, it's
like it's it's a win win for me. Yeah, it's
a win win for me, so I'll I'll take I'll

(11:35):
take it either way. But I mean they the thing is,
good teams do do that. I will say good team,
good teams, Good teams do do that, and they're.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Here calling them a good team.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Good teams find a way. Okay, good team, good teams
do find And also you have to at least.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Admit that they're a good team. That's all we're looking
for you.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Record wise, yes, but like when you look at everything
being said, I just don't know, John, I still think
they're gonna lose their first playoff game.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Okay, that's a fair opinion to have, by the way,
but you know, because they haven't played all But I
just am thinking here that you know, if you think
that they're done just because they haven't played well in
these games that they've won all of, then you're a
fool to think that. I mean, maybe it's possible, but
I would still never bet against them until they proved

(12:32):
me wrong. Two teams that are vying for the AFC
North Randall besides the Steelers would be the Ravens and
the Bengals. They played a game this past Thursday night
that was very good. It came down to the very end.
In fact, the Bengals scored a touchdown with thirty eight
seconds to go and could have kicked an extra point

(12:52):
to tie the game and elect to go to overtime.
But I think they did what a lot of logical
coaches have to think sometimes now, and that was, are
we going to have a chance to be back in
this situation again against this team where we can get
this close to score, because if not, then our best
chance might get these two yards right here and score
the two point conversion. So the Bengals went for and

(13:14):
this is what we saw last week when we talked
about this. The Patriots didn't do this. They elected to
go to overtime and end up losing the game and
overtime after tying it up in the end. So I mean,
were you happy to see the Bengals try to go
for this and ultimately didn't work out for them? But
were you at least glad Do they make the right
decision in your mind? Trying to win this game?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
John, you have to go for the win there. You
just let Lamar Jackson come back in that game. Three
possessions in a row, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, you can't give
the ball back to him.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
You know they can go down in thirty seconds and
score a field goal win the game. You have to
give yourself the best chance to win. That was it? Now?
Do I think that was the best play call? No?
Do I think there should have also been a couple
flags on the play? Yes? Why are you not trying
to get the ball to Jamar Chase in a one

(14:13):
on one situation? I don't know. I would have called
to play for him more specifically, right, But do I
have a problem with it going for two? Absolutely not.
That's the correct decision, and I don't think anybody in
that locker room had a problem with it.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Yeah. No, And I you know I didn't ask you
that question that way on purpose. I didn't say did
you have a problem with it? I said do you
think it was the right decision? Because I agree it
was the right decision. I don't think there should be
a problem with this because I do think that if
you are an offensively capable team and you have two
yards to get to get two points and take a lead,

(14:49):
the chances of you being able to convert that are
probably higher than the chances of you tying the game
up and then somehow either getting the coin toss and
scoring a touchdown first or or you know, getting the
coin to have scoring a field goal holding them, or
you know getting the coin or not getting the coin.
I was having to get the ball back. All these
other unknown factors come into play when you're extending the

(15:10):
game like that. And I think so often when we
talk about it and we say, oh man, they could
should have kicked the extra point or to tie the
game up, you know, we're looking at it as short sighted.
And we're also looking at it from the perspective of
they should just keep the game going as long as
they can, when reality is that's not always the best idea.
The best idea is to have your best chance to
win the game, and your best chance to win the

(15:32):
game is when you're standing two feet away or two
yards away from you know, going up one point.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Best odds. Don't give it back to Lamar, like, just
go in, win it, walk.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Out, Randall, did you watch any of Yeah go ahead?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
And it just wasn't the Patriots game too, John? Remember
last week?

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, what was the other one? I was trying to
think of the other one too.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Tampa Bay and Baker right, there was two of them
against Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, that's he lost the coin toss.
You saw him. His hands went out his head. He's like,
you gotta be kidding me. He knew they lost that
game as soon as they lost the coin toss.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Yeah. I was trying to think of the other big game,
because that one was obviously bigger as far as like
overall meaning than the Patriots one was. But I couldn't
think of which one it was. But there were multiple
instances last week where we and we sat here and
talked about it and said they probably made the wrong
decisions then, and we can now say that the Bengals
made the right decision even though they didn't come out
on the right side of things. Raynald, did you spend

(16:32):
any of your morning on Sunday watching Giants Panthers from Germany?
You could be honest with us.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I cannot say I did.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Okay, Well, I only asked. I only asked because the
Panthers have a two game winning streak now. Bryce Young
got another win. Unfortunately for Tyrone, Tracey's been a good
story for the Giants. He fumbled early in overtime to
give up the ball but you know, this basically sealed
the Giants' fate. They now obviously have the tiebreaker against

(17:06):
the Panthers for a draft pick concern. Yeah. I don't
really have a question for you about this game because
you didn't see it. There's really nothing to talk about.
I just figured I bring it up because it was
a close game.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
But it was. It was the booty Cheek Bowl, John,
it was.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
It was. That's a good way to put it. Speaking
of booty cheeks, did you see Mac Jones play at all?

Speaker 2 (17:28):
I did. I saw his booty cheek dance of a touchdown, yeah,
and then I saw him throw two interceptions. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
He's actually my pick for booty Cheek Player of the
Week this week.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Hey, I like it.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
He was fourteen for twenty two, one hundred and eleven yards,
two picks. He did rush for the touchdown and get
the celebration in actually to take the lead seven to
three at the time, but they didn't score any other points.
He didn't really do anything, and even though Donald threw
three picks on the other side, the Vikings found a
way to win. So the Vikings is where I want
to ask his question, because Dark obviously didn't play well,

(18:01):
they've been a little bit worse lately than they were
early in the year. But rend are you starting to
think that the Vikings are a team that's capable of
winning games in any any fashion.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
I mean, they were the first team to win a
game without scoring a touchdown and throwing I think was
three interceptions in a game this year so far or
over the last x amount of time. So I thought
that was that was incredible in itself.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I agree. It's kind of like that crazy stat that
the Patriots Jets game produced, where the Jets were the
first team ever with certain parameters to not win a game. It's,
you know, the Vikings first team to win a game
only four field goals. Donald threw those four picks. But
the important thing is for the Vikings they kind of
keep pace at the top of that division. They're seven

(18:50):
to two. The Saints kind of surprisingly beat the Falcons.
He had the whole new coach thing. Did you hear
the story about him clogging his toilet that the morning.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Of the game? I did not, John, I did not.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Okay, well, he basically this Dennis Reza or Pisa or
whatever his name is, the interim coach, Darren Rizzy sorry.
He he basically after the game went up to his
press conference and said that he thought it was gonna
be a crappy day, and he actually said pun intended
because he clogged his toilet before he left for the day.

(19:23):
Do you ever ever clagged your toilet Randall and think
to yourself, man, this is gonna be a rough day.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
No. Normally when I clag a toilet, John, I think, wow,
do I feel great right now? I feel like it's
gonna say, I feel the opposite, sound like it's actually
gonna be a great day. In my system. We're gonna
have a day.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Yeah, I agree. I'm kind of like, man, I unclogged
one pipe just to clog another.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
You know.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
But the Yeah, the Saints coach, so he gets to win.
The Falcons lose a bad game on the road. Anything
you want to say about that game, Randall.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
No, not at all. I mean just that they should
have they had chances. They missed three field goals.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah they did. They did. Indeed, the forty nine ers
beat the Bucks. They went out to the East. It was,
you know, not a great game for Jake Moody, who
had the whole little I don't know if it was
the incident with Deebo Samuel that everybody's talking about. Deebo
was kind of in his face on the sideline, and then,
you know, I think obviously Moody ends up winning the

(20:32):
game for them in a field goal. But temper has
flared a little bit. Everybody can breathe a little bit easier.
Christian McCaffrey returned to the field though, Raybony, I don't
know if he saw any of his return. He did
have over one hundred scrimmage yards, didn't score a touchdown.
You know, what did you make of him getting back
on the field here, and what do you think this
means for the forty nine ers long term?

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Long term? Brock Purty looked great.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Yeah he did. I meant to say that too, thank you.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
He played absolutely fantastic, you know it was. It was
just a typical Brock pretty day. Didn't turn the ball,
over passed the ball well, made some great throws. I
was shocked that that thing went to overtime, to be

(21:19):
honest with you, or it went to overtime.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Correct, it did not, But they kicked the field well
as time.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Expired, correct, So I mean and.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
McLaughlin McLaughlin tied it for Tampa with like forty seconds left,
So it's yeah, you could have thought it easily went
to overtime.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yes, But I give credit to Baker Mayfield too for
keeping this team back to back weeks against probably the
best team in the West, best team of the NFC,
best team in the AFC, taking him down to the
wire with by the way, no help essentially on the
offensive side. So I think that says a lot about

(21:55):
him and his gut that he's been that he has.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah, I feel bad that he doesn't have his guys
right now receiver, because I really feel like the Bucks
were having one of those years where you know, maybe
they weren't gonna win every game, but offensively, they were
gonna keep themselves in every game. And I think right
now what you're seeing is that they're keeping themselves in games.
But these two guys that they're missing, Godwin and Evans,
are both very big difference makers for them, because I
think if you put them into either one of these games,

(22:21):
there's a real chance that they win. Because right now
you're looking at a situation where the Buccaneers leading receivers
this week were a running back, auld tight end, another
running back, the actually if you look at even further
down in the list here, the highest output for anybody
that was a receiver for them was Ryan Miller, who

(22:42):
had one catch for eleven yards. So, I mean, it
just wasn't a great game for them receiver wise, yet
they found a way to just do enough to stay
in it. I do like Baker. I think he's very gritty.
I just think that he's a guy that kind of
needs some help around him and he's not going to
necessarily elevate a team to a bunch of victories, although
he has elevation to them even without these guys. But
you said the forty nine ers could be the best

(23:03):
team in the NFC. They got back the best player
when he's healthy on paper. So you know, we'll see
what this means for them ultimately, but they're kind of
moving the right direction now with McCaffrey back.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
In the fold.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
The Bills beat the Colts. Joe Flacco kind of stunk
up the joint. He'll be bench now for Anthony Richardson again.
The Colts kind of going back and forth on their
decision making their Josh Allen did throw two picks in
this game, but the Bills still found a way to
put up thirty points more largely on the back of
their defense and their rushing attack in this game, Randall,

(23:38):
are the Bills the best team in the NFC right now?
Or you're still taking somebody else?

Speaker 2 (23:45):
You could say, I know, no stuff. No, they are
not the best team in the AFC right now. Okay,
they're not because you do have they lost to the Ravens.
Ravens are somewhat of the top dog right now. You
gotta go with If we're going off for record, you
obviously then would have to put Kansas City in there.

(24:05):
But that's why we have this week Kansas City at Buffalo,
so hopefully, hopefully Kansas City can finally get pegged down
a notch. But I do pluck Buffalo in the top two.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
So you're now rooting for the Bills just because you
hate the Patriots or the Chiefs so much?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Yes, okay, all right, just double checking. Speaking of the Patriots,
what a win for them. Drake May and Caleb Williams
head to head for the first time, and Drake May
came out on top. Randall, I don't know about you,
but I feel like the team has responded fairly well
in the weeks since Girod Mayo called them soft.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Yeah, and I'm excited about what we're seeing with Drake
may I thought he looked a lot better than Caleb
Williams did. And that's now back to back weeks or
two out of the past three weeks, sorry, where Williams
has faced the second overall pick and the third overall

(25:06):
and he's looked worse than both of them. Yeah, and
he's lost both of them. So I think that says
a lot about what's going on in Chicago as well.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, I don't know how they beat the Rams earlier
this year. Quite frankly, I know the Rams didn't exactly
look great this week against the Dolphins, but that's gonna
go down as one of the worst losses for the
Rams this season. The Bears have have beaten a lot
of bad teams, and you know a couple that you'd say, okay,
maybe they're okay, but yeah, losing now three straight games, Commanders, Cardinals, Patriots,

(25:38):
this one was the worst one. Obviously. The Commanders are
going to be a playoff team. The Cardinals might be
a playoff team. They're leading the West right now. The
Patriots are not going to be a playoff team and
they're just looking to develop players. Drake may I mean
he has looked okay. I don't think he's looked overwhelmed.
I think when you just compare him to any other
guy that's going out there with not a lot around him,

(25:58):
you could say he's probably played above what you'd think
he would play at with the situation that they're in, uh,
you know, talent wise around him. So I give him
a lot of credit. He's given given them a lot
of effort. But the Bears, I mean, this is just
kind of falling off the rails.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Now.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
They've got you know, they were out to a four
and two start. In the last three weeks, they've lost
and they've got some issues Besides Caleb Williams. You know,
they've got receivers who are unhappy, that are not producing.
It's gonna be an interesting season offseason for them. I
you know, Caleb Williams in that situation where he's gonna
be in his second year in the league and he's
gonna have a new coach and new offensive coordinator because

(26:34):
they just fired the offensive coordinator, by the way, and
Matt Eberflus, there's no chance to me that he survives
this offseason unless something miraculous happens here. So it's gonna
Williams zero. Yeah, I mean, I can't believe they even
let him stay this year. When they were drafting Caleb Williams,
he would have thought that would have been the time
to reset everything. But for whatever reason, that's not the

(26:56):
way it went. So not great there. The Chargers beat
the Titans. I don't think anybody was overly shocked about
that result. Titans, or rather the Chargers have been hot
of late, starting and it starting to get things going here.
They've won three straight games for the last three, the
last four, Randall, Where do you put the Chargers in

(27:19):
the pantheon of AFC teams right now? Because I know
this wasn't you know, a great Titans team that they
beat here, But they have started to kind of figure
things out. And I know I've called Justin Herbert a
fraud for a couple of years on this show now,
but he's starting to play a little better. Jim Harbaugh
starting to figure things out. What do you make of
them where they lie in the AFC?

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Well, John, I think it says a lot about Jim
Harbaugh too, Okay, because last year. How many wins did
the Chargers have?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
I don't know. You're asking me off the top of
my head, want me to check.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Last I well, I think they only had five wins
last year and this year? Do you know how many?

Speaker 1 (28:05):
To have six?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
They are six and three? Correct? John? Right? Again, they
are on a three game win streak. Now, with that
being said, that means John Harbaugh has helped them improve
already and they're second in the AFC West. Okay, and
looking like a playoff birth coming up soon. Okay, Michigan,
you win from go from winning the national title to

(28:29):
this Kerflunkel that's going on over there. I mean, I
don't even know, but I think this says more about
Jim Harbaugh than really it does about Justin Herbert. I
think Jim Harball is really coming in, becoming good friends
with Justin Herbert, teaching him, helping him grow, and they

(28:52):
are going to be potentially a ten win team this year. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
We saw this. We saw this with Harball with you know,
Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. He's a guy that can
really develop quarterbacks. And I do think that you know,
they they You're right, they've already won more games they
won all of last year. They should have a playoff
berth on the way a division, it has some winnable
games for them, for sure. Obviously the Chiefs might be

(29:17):
a tough matchup, but if they they should be able
to on paper beat the Raiders the Broncos as well.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
I think they've played each of them already once maybe,
but I could be mistaken about that as well. I'm
looking up right now. They actually have they play the
Raiders the last week of the season, and they play
the Broncos the third to last week of the season,
the Chiefs the fifth to last week of the season,
so they've played all of them once already. You beat
the Broncos, you beat the Raiders, and you lost to

(29:44):
the Chiefs, So that's not you know, that's not bad
for them in the division right now. I just think
that they are trending the right way, and I think
you're right. It has a lot to do with Jim
Harbaugh what he's been able to do here in his
first year. And you said it right. We're not really
the college football experts, but Michigan has had a rough year.

(30:05):
So it's uh yeah, looking good for Jim that he
got out of Dodge after winning the championship. But Michigan
has not had the same success that they had a
year ago obviously, or anywhere close for that matter. Speaking
of not having the same success, the Cowboys, they got
blown out. Dak Prescott was announced this week that he's

(30:26):
gonna be out for the year season inning surgery. Cooper
Rush was in there this past week. But the big
story coming out of Dallas is the shadows from the
ceiling are from the roof I should say Randall and
the open window that was designed by Jerry Jones and
whichever architects designed the building. But it ended up at

(30:46):
the end of this game causing Dak pre excuse me,
Cooper Rush and Ceedee Lamb to not connect them what
should have been a touchdown. And that's, you know what
everybody's blaming. But of course the game score thirty four
to six, probably other things. The Eagles had to play
with the same same sun coming into the same roof.
So what do you make of this whole thing, because
it's kind of weird that it's coming to a head

(31:06):
now when the stadium has been designed the same way
for the last decade.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Yeah, I mean that that Son is. I honestly don't
understand why they have don't put shades up or something, Yeah,
because it really is gleaming in there. But I don't know.
I've never played in it, obviously, so I couldn't tell you.
But that was a pivotal moment in the game when
that throw went to CD and he couldn't see it

(31:35):
in the sun.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Yeah, it was late, right, I said it was. We
were still in the game.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
It was this second quarter, and that would have given
them a lead. Job, that would have given them a lead.
And then they also so then that would have given
him a lead. They had to kick a field goal.
But then they also had a play where Zeke was
running the ball and then he fumbled it in the
end zone, so that they could have went into the

(32:01):
half up and it could have been a completely different game.
But I thought Cooper Rush, that was not the same
Cooper Rush that I used to seeing. He looked exposed,
he looked horrible. Yeah, and I don't think they were
looking to throw the ball that much, which was very strange,
Like it didn't seem like they were trying to work

(32:21):
the ball downfield at all.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Yeah, he's been good too, I mean not this pass
game obviously, but he only threw forty five yards this
pass game on thirteen completions somehow, But I mean he's
been okay at times when he's had to fill in
for Dak the last several years. They've won some games
with him. I thought maybe the more interesting development here
was that we got a little bit of a look
at Trey Lance. He did throw a pick, completed four

(32:47):
or six passes through for about half the yards it
rush did on six attempts total. But I just think
the Cowboys are obviously at that point of the year,
three wins on the board, dacks down. I think they're
toast obviously. But the stadium thing is more interesting story
to me, just because it's been designed like that for
a long time. Both teams had to play like it.

(33:09):
I know it made a difference in this game, but
and I trust me, I was watching it too, and
I'm looking at like, this is so stupid, how bright
the sun is. But that being said, I you know,
it's the same thing every week, So just just an
excuse for getting blown out in my opinion. Speaking of
getting blown out, the Cardinals blew out the Jets, just

(33:29):
another demoralizing loss for the Jets. You know, I kind
of mocked it a few weeks ago and said, like, oh,
you know, everything's gonna be fine out that we fired
our coach. Okay, everything's gonna be fine. Now that we
got DeVante Adams. Okay, everything's gonna be fine out that
we've got Hassan Reddick Randall News Alert. It's not fine
for the Jets.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Uh, John, it is far far from fine for the Jets.
I mean, how was this. I don't even know how
they were favored going into the game on the road
and they were favored, Like, I don't know either.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
Because Arizona was five and four coming in and they
were have been playing much more consistently.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Yeah, John, it was they destroyed them. The Jets didn't
even stand the chance. Aaron Rodgers, my god, hang them
up already, dude, you are trash, trash trash.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Yeah, you might not have to wait much longer for that,
by the way, because I don't know if he's gonna
want to come back and play for anybody next year.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
I mean, they better not want him to come back
and play for them. They got expiring contracts, the Jets.
The Jets just can't help themselves. At least the Dolphins
had a couple of good seasons when they got Mike McDaniels.
I mean, the Jets got this guy thinking Lord and
Savior is here and wrong answer. They're going back in

(34:54):
the dungeon. The Patriots, the Patriots, the New England Patriots,
with the lowest expectations in the NFL, have the same
record as a team that was a Super Bowl contender
on paper before the game, before the season. I'm so funny.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yeah, it is kind of funny. It's been Yeah, it's
been interesting. That's wird. M What was the the Lions
Texans was the other game that the Sunday night game.
It was a close game, but Jared Goff threw five
interceptions in this game. Four of them were legit. One

(35:35):
of them was, you know, Hail Mayry kind of thing
at the end of the half. But can you first
of all, can you believe that he threw five picks?
And second of all, can you believe that he threw
five picks and they won the game?

Speaker 2 (35:47):
No? I can't believe it threw five picks because when
did you have five picks? All the entire scenes?

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Four coming on?

Speaker 2 (35:54):
And oh, by the way, this is a guy that
earlier this season completed every single one of his passes.
Oh and by the way, had another game where he
completed ninety, another game where he completed seventy five, another
game he completed eighty. Like technically he completed these just
to the other team. But I mean, you just don't
see that, John, And for this team to come back

(36:17):
and win the defense to shut down the Texans in
the second half, impressive.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Yeah, what does that say about Texans? I mean, this
wasn't a great look for a team that forced five
interceptions and somehow I know Stroud through two of his own,
but that you can't be very happy if you're Demiko Ryans.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
You can't. You can't. I mean, the sophomore slump for CJ.
Stroud might be real right now, but this says more
I think about Detroit. This team's gritty, this team's young,
this team is Dan Campbell is firing those troops up.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Yeah, they definitely play like the city with a I
think the city kind of exemplifies being gritty, and I'm
pretty sure that you know that's that's the way they're
playing right now and finding ways to win with games
where you throw five picks is just kind of adding
to that. All right, Well, I've been avoiding talking about

(37:17):
this last game of the week because first of all,
it was the last game of the week, and also
it was the Rams on Monday night. Randall, they didn't
score a touchdown. They actually unfortunately lost me a season
long bet this past Monday, because I did bet on
them to score at least one touchdown in every game
this year, and they had done it up until this
past Monday. And I'm actually, you know, I knew they

(37:39):
were gonna lose a certain point. So when it was
twenty three to twelve and I'm sitting there watching you know,
them driving down the field at the end of the game,
they were actually you know, making their way towards the
end zone, which they did a few times, I'm thinking, Okay,
maybe I'll get the touchdown here at least and it
keeps my season long bet alive. Well, Randall, on third down,

(38:00):
my guy Sean McVay decided, let's kick the field goal
now so that we can try going for the on
side kick with more time in the clock. So he
setting out the kicker on third down. They kick a
field goal, they don't get the touchdown. They end up
not getting the on side kick, obviously, and they lose
what I thought was a pretty poor showing for them
against the Dolphins team that, yeah, is a little bit
healthier than they were a couple of weeks ago, but

(38:22):
has still not been very good. So I don't know
what to think about the Rams right now. I was
obviously back on the up and up with them after
the last several weeks, getting back to five hundred. I'm
still not, you know, not thinking that they're done by
any means. They have the Patriots of coming this week,
they should be able to beat them. But I mean,
I just I had one of those situations where I'm

(38:44):
sitting here watching my team drive down the field over
and over and over and over again and just kick
field goals. And I felt like I was watching one
of those games from earlier this year where it's just,
you know, Justin Field's playing quarterback for the Steelers and
they just keep getting down the field and they can't
get in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Yeah, that was that was a tough look for them,
especially coming off of everybody's back. You're thinking, Wow, Miami's
not playing great football. They're giving up a lot of
points on the defensive side. This should be a little
bit they should be playing a little bit better than
with That's what I'm saying. But then John, you know

(39:22):
what screwed you? You want to know what screwed you? John?
Was all the heavy favorites, basically one on Sunday, which
means which means there needed to be a favorite go down,
and that was this one. Man. I just think there
was so much money on the Rams that Miami stepped up.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Yeah, beforehand, because I knew that there was potential that
we could get beat down the field. But I mean
that's not even really what happened. It just was a
weird game because the Rams just never felt like they
settled into it. I mean, I'll give the Dolphins credit,
Like I said, I don't think the Rams are done yet.
They have some easy, winnable games coming up, but I

(40:06):
don't know. It's just for me, this one was disappointing,
probably more so than most of the other ones they've
lost this year, maybe not the Bears one, because that one,
to me was, you know, you're playing a team that
has a rookie quarterback and you're supposed to be Sean
McVay sposed to be one of the best coaches. I
think that's the one to me, and maybe the Cardinals
is getting blown out too, But I look at at

(40:27):
the Bears one, but now more so this this Dolphins
one as being the two that sting the most of
this season. Hopefully the Rams will rebound against the Patriots
here in New England this upcoming Sunday. All right, Ran, Well,
that does it for the Week ten recap. We're already
through ten weeks the season, only eight more in the
regular season to go.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Wow, I'm gonna be Sadohn when this season ends. I
just I just love football, love football, alright.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
You sound like George Kittle on that Receiver show. There's
a clip of him just sitting on the sideline. He's like,
how great is football? All right? So that brings us
into week eleven and doing all that we do for that.
So I think it's time to start off where we
always start off when we move on to the new week,
and that is with guess that's spread?

Speaker 2 (41:18):
John?

Speaker 1 (41:19):
What John?

Speaker 2 (41:21):
What it's doing? The play? Guess yes? Spread?

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Oh yeah, guess that spread is brought to you by
those that guess, which is Randall and I uh, if
you're unfamiliar, which I don't know how you could be
because we've been playing this game for a while now,
I'm unfamiliar with guests that spread. Randall and I are
going to take turns quizzing each other on betting lines
for player props for this upcoming week, so we'll do

(41:57):
one passer, one running back, and one receiver. Randall has
been tricky the last two weeks for me to beat.
We've tied the last two weeks at one out of three. However,
I've been on kind of a hot streak here. I've
had at least one win each of the last six weeks,
and you could say the same about you two except

(42:19):
for week eight, Randall, where you didn't get a win.
But I feel like this is the best run I've
ever had in guess that spread, John.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Not only are you doing that, you're absolutely bamboozling me
in the last pick, in the last second. That's what's happening.
You're getting me in the very last second.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
What do you oh you mean on the last Yeah,
the receivers.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
The wide receivers, You're I'd be up and boom bamboozled
into you. I give you somebody thinking I'm gonna do
good and nope, I don't and you get it.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
Yeah. Okay, Well, I'm gonna give you the opportunity to
tell me if you want to go first, or you
want me to go first, or whatever.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
You go first, John, Do you.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
Want me to give you one first?

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna know. I'm gonna give you one.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Okay, perfect, go ahead, all.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
Right, John, I'm gonna give you Gardner Minshew Vegas at Miami.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Gardner Minshew Vegas at Miami. This is a tough one
because I feel like he's not been very good. He's
kind of been on the borderline of being benched. We
sure he's even starting for them. It has been ridded.
He keeps coming in. I'm gonna say one hundred and
seventy five and a half.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Two O two and a half job.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Okay, I was in the ballpark sort of, but I
was never gonna guess anything that started with a two.
So all right, I've got one for you Vikings and Titans.
This game we played in Tennessee on Sunday, and I
want you to tell me how many passing yards Will
Levis is set for.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
Will Levis is gonna be set forward? John a hundred
and ninety five and a half yards.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
Eh, one hundred and eighty five and a half yards.
He was gonna go there literally almost what I guessed,
not quite what you guessed, but still not right.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Alrighty onto the running backs, John, onto the running backs,
running back? D running back? Y'all get that reference?

Speaker 1 (44:37):
John, No, I actually have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
It was from Remember the Titans?

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, all right now I do.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
I saw.

Speaker 1 (44:45):
I've seen that movie like one hundred times.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
All right, give me that's a good poll, Thank you, Cleveland.
At New Orleans, he's back better than ever. Nick Chubb Chubbaruski.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Oh man, this is a good one because I haven't
really been paying attention to him too much. It's only
like it was his third game back this week, I
feel like the numbers would be fourth. Okay, so I
feel like his numbers probably gradually growing. But where does
that put him? Right now? I'm gonna say, Nick Chubb,

(45:20):
who they playing?

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Where is the game at New Orleans?

Speaker 1 (45:25):
I'm gonna say that Nick Chubb's number is gonna be
sixty eight nos. Sixty nine and.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
A half, fifty five and a half.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Job man, still too high there. Huh, Okay, that's a
little that's tough, man. I for sure thought that it
was going to be uh a little higher than that.
But I guess he's still not getting the respect that
he deserves. Okay, this game is Thursday Night football. Washington
and Philly will be playing uh tonight tomorrow whenever you're
listening to this, Depending on when this gets published, it'll

(46:01):
probably be tonight. If you're listening to this on Thursday.
But Randall, I want you to tell me what the
rushing yard number is, not for Saquon Barkley, but for
Brian Robinson Junior.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Is he playing? He's been, he didn't play last he.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Is listed, so he's on here.

Speaker 2 (46:19):
I'm gonna go with John sixty two and a half yards.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
Well, I can confirm that he's officially off the injury report.
Good to go against Philly. Is the injury report listing here?
No more designation, But I can tell you that you
are off the mark forty seven and a half yards.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
I knew it was low. I didn't think it was
gonna be that low. Hah, Oh, John, you're gonna get yours.
Let me tell you. I'm gonna give you your comuppets,
that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
You got one for me here? What do you got?

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Of course I do. We are gonna go with Diyonre Hopkins,
mister Kansas City at Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Hmm, Kansas City at Buffalo Hopkins still getting worked in.
I'm gonna say his number is gonna be oh man,
so much pressure just to get on the board here
again at the end, give me forty eight.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
And a half, John, am I in a dais javou like?
Just keep replaying the same fucking moment over and over.

Speaker 1 (47:50):
Forty A man, that was so close.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
That's that's your closest one on the season right there. Wow,
I just can't buy you wide receivers, wide receivers. You
were just locked the fuck in. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
I don't know. I really don't know what it is,
but I will take it all right. I got a
fun one for you. Our two teams, our favorite teams
are playing this weekend, the Rams and the Patriots in
New England. So I think you know where I'm going
with this one. I want you to tell me how
many receiving yards our guy Kaishawn Booty is on the line.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
For Kaishan Boody, our favorite player of the show. He's
the proud.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Sponsor say he sponsors the Booty Cheek Player the Week.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
He sponsors Booty Cheek Player of the Week and the
answer John is gonna be twenty six and a half yards.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
Randall, you are just outside the range thirty three and
a half, so you're two. Yeah, and that means that
I win this week. Baby, let's go there.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
My god, congratulate. I'm like, when you said it, I'm like, bro,
I got this, Like, I know this numbers is gonna
be so freaking low.

Speaker 1 (49:16):
I know. I tried to do what I tried to
do what you always do for me and the receivers,
and go with a guy.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
That's low, go with a guy that's booty exactly, literally,
exactly exactly. It's just, I mean, unreal, unreal, I just
I just I just don't know what to say right now.
It's it's it's it's it's crazy, it's it's honestly mayhem,

(49:42):
and it's it's I'm just disgusting and excited for you.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
Well thanks, man. That means a lot that you're excited
for me and discussed it all at the same time. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
that does it for.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Yes, that.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
Spread that was that was our best one of the year.
I think, Yeah, I can tell that you've been losing.
Guess that's spread all. I've been low key kind of
whooping you in a Guess that's spread and the word
of the day. Lucky for you, we're moving into your

(50:25):
strongest game, which is hard locks.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Know what I want to start doing, John, I want
to start getting together how far off each of us
have been, And I want to start calculating the average
off that I am and you are, because I swear
I feel like my average is a lot closer together
than yours.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
I know you every week you have some new thing
that you want to start tracking. You realize that we
should start a website of all the things you just
want to track and just have them all listed there.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
I mean, I feel like that's a good one to know, Like, Hey,
how how far off are are we? You know who's actually? Yeah,
John might be winning, but Randall's off by an average
of six point seven, where John's off by an average
of ten point two. You know, fair enough.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
I don't care. That's not the name of the game.
So if you want to start averaging stuff and tell
me that I lost that.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
That's fine, but I might go I'm gonna go back
John and listen to all ours for this year, just
fast forward to the guest that spread section, and I'm gonna,
I'm gonna, I'm gonna make a spreadsheet for us.

Speaker 1 (51:34):
Maybe I'll make a montage of the best of guess
that's spread. You know, I probably won't do that. It'll
probably take me way too long to do that. But
it's the thought that count. Somebody once told me, all right, Randall,
let's move into hard knocks. Hard locks, not hard knocks.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Tom four hard knocks.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
It's a hard clock life for us. It's a hard block.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Life for us. No I like it, though, I do
like that.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
Last week was maybe our worst combined week of the year,
only one win between the two of us, which happened
in week five as well. Only that week there was
also a push. This week, I was owing three. You
were one and two, so I was owned three. That's
the first time either one of us has not picked
up at least a push in a week. Everybody letting

(52:28):
me down. You were one and two, so you did
salvage the leak week with one win. But fice to say, Randall,
neither one of us made the listeners any money last week.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Yeah, I mean, I've barely been making money for myself,
So it makes sense, John, it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
All right, Well, do you want to get us started
or shall I?

Speaker 2 (52:47):
You can? John?

Speaker 1 (52:49):
All right, perfect, I'm going with the Rams minus five,
not even gonna wait, not gonna hesitate, not gonna you know,
whine and dine you first. And I'm gonna go right
to the other part of that saying wine dyne and
some number, you know what I mean, sixty nine, Maybe
I'm gonna go the Rams. I'm gonna go Rams minus five.
I have no trouble believing that they're gonna fully rebound

(53:10):
from this poor performance. The Dolphins, New England's kind of
the team that I, you know, I've used to be
scared of because of Bill Belichick and not that I
don't think they're gonna be good in a year or
two with this new regime in Drake May. But they're
not ready yet, and I think Sean McVay will find
a way against the rookie quarterback here. So give me
the Rams minus five.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
I like that, John, That's a great pick, great, great pick. Okay,
John Rams minus five. What I'm gonna do here, John,
is I'm gonna take the Steelers plus three at home
against the Ravens. Ooh, I'm just not sold. Lamar is
gonna be able to show up in this game. I

(53:51):
think his record is what, sorry, one in five career
against the Steelers. He's a bum. Give me Pittsburg plus three.
And you know what that is, John.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
It's a dog alert.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
It's a dog alert.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Good job. I don't think I've picked a dog in
a while, so I should maybe think about doing that
sometime soon. I'm not gonna do it on this pick, though,
because I think with this next one, I'm going to
simply take another road favorite here. It's another big spread,
so I do get a little bit scared. But I

(54:31):
like the Vikings minus six at the Titans. The Titans
have not been doing a whole lot of anything. I
know the Vikings have kind of been limping a little
bit of late, but I do have a feeling, for
whatever reason, that this week against the Titans defense, that
the offense will kind of figure it out again. You know,
they're three and one on the road. The Titans are
only one and three at home this year. So I

(54:51):
just kind of like the Vikings picking up not where
they left off this past week, but where they kind
of left off earlier this season with their offense was
clicking on all cylinders. So give me the Vikings minus
five minus six. Excuse me, So I'll take two road
favorites here to start.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
Things well, John, I'm gonna go the opposite. Give me
Commanders plus three and a half at Philly Tomorrow night,
Primetime Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. Dogg Alert. Jaden
Daniels has the dog in him. I think Washington's gonna
bounce back after playing a great game against the Steelers,

(55:30):
just came down to the wire. I think Philly is
getting better than what they were at the beginning of
the season. But I really like this divisional matchup. Give
me Washington with the points.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
Yeah, I love that pick. To take it further, I
would actually say I'm gonna be probably betting Commander's money
line Tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Night, Show me the money, show me the money, where
is the loot?

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Okay, last pick for me. I am gonna go with
the dog Randall. You know how I be, I'm gonna
do it. I know we've been staying away because they
haven't been winning games in the sexiest ways. But I'm
gonna do. I'm gonna regret this. I'm doing Kansas City
plus two at the Bills. I just think if you're
gonna give me the Chiefs is an underdog, that it's

(56:19):
hard not to just take them and say, go win
this game. So give me the Chiefs plus two at Buffalo.
I understand it's gonna be a tough game, could be
an AFC Championship preview. But I gotta switch something up here.
So I'm so bad at that compared.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
To you, John, That's okay, man, that's okay here. I
am going to be taking John, give me the Buffalo Bills.
Kansas City's going down.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
All right, So you're taking the opposite side of that coin.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
There, taking the opposite that is correct.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
I think something's finally gonna give out here, Huh.

Speaker 2 (57:07):
For the Chiefs, I really do, and Buffalo they're gonna
they're gonna prove to all of us why they are great, great, great.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
And that does it for.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Mm hm, hard knocks.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
I gotta unchain the dog over there. Uh, kid has
been on the loose, all right, So Randall, that brings
us to the end here, good job today has always
great work. I am going to defer to you for
the final segment of the episode.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Now, John, it's time to play Guess the word. Randall's
girlfriend gives him a word, He uses it. John guesses it, John,
what is the word? Well?

Speaker 1 (58:00):
Well, Randall, last week you and I talked about this,
and you talked about doing better at this, hopefully going forward,
because I've won seven of the last eight and seven
of the ten that we've done this year. However, I
am going to say to you that I think you
did a much better job today because I do have

(58:22):
a couple of ideas. However, I don't think they were
nearly as obvious as some of your past picks for
this segment. So I actually am at a loss of
whether it's one or the other here. So do you
want me to give you the two I have and
then pick one?

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Give me the two?

Speaker 1 (58:38):
John, you said kerf fluffle at one point, and you
also said bamboozle okay, and you said bamboozle twice, So
I think you were trying to get me to think
that bamboozle was the word, and you were throwing it
out there a second time I'm gonna go with kurf fluffle.

Speaker 2 (59:02):
Less find out john to keep bamboozling me.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
Man, Man, I overthought it. I overthought the overthink. I
was like, I was so ready to guess bambooz on,
like he said it twice though.

Speaker 2 (59:28):
Johnny kerfunkel kerfuffle kerfunkle whatever it was was a word
I was trying to kind of use in there to
like deviate you away. But you're still on me, Man,
You're on me. I gotta get better at this, but
I'm gonna take the win very happily, very happily. I'm
gonna take this one.

Speaker 1 (59:48):
Yeah, this is your first like true clean, clean win
since week two, because remember the only other one you've
won since then was the whole maple syrup thing where
you know, I didn't guess the whole thing. I totally
said it was your win. But this is time, Yea,
this is this is the first time that I haven't
gotten it. And I give you credit because I definitely

(01:00:09):
was was overthinking that there with the two words out there.
So good job on you, thank you. Good job to
your girlfriend too for sending another good word for you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
We're again next week. We win next week. We're on
a win streak, John, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Well, I'm not gonna let that happen. I'm going to
turn things back around after this week's disappointment for my fans.
All right, rand Well, that brings us to the very
end of the episode. As I always do, I'm gonna
ask is there anything that you didn't get a chance
to speak on this evening that you would like to
touch on before we get out of here?

Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Stop Ben Parlay's folks, you're going to keep on losing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
That's how the books win, right, that's how the books went.
All right, Well, thank you for that advice, Randall. We're
always appreciate your gambling advice in the show. As always,
Everybody go out there, take Randall's advice, take my advice.
Show us those betslips if you do, because we want
we want proof that you guys one morning you're listening
to us, all right, Randal Well, that brings us to

(01:01:08):
the very end until next time, everybody, thanks for being
with us, Random, ahead and take.

Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
It away, goodbye, goodbye, good friends, goodbye.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
This was we eat ten RecA. He's John Randall and
we have a great time.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
He wins some games and I lose some games lose,
