Speaker 1 (00:22):
What is going on? Everybody. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome back to
another edition of the John and Randall Football Experience. My
name is John Avino and joining me as always as
my main man, Randallmanoh random. We're actually in the same
state right now, but unfortunately we're not in the same room.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
John. It made me so excited to get the texted
me the other day saying, hey, guess what I'm coming
to Florida for you to only say, yeah, but it's over,
gonna be like three and a half four hours away.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, you thought I was. You thought I was coming
to visit you at first when you first got the text.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I'm like, let me get the golf clubs ready, let's
go bag and we're hitting the Yeah, not the case.
One day, though, one day we will, Joe, we will
record together one day.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, I know it'll come. Our listeners are longing for
the day. But it is good to get this episode
at any I'm singing in a hotel room in an
area not very close to where Randall is in Florida.
As he said, but we're gonna get you the content
that you guys deserve because the NFL doesn't stop, so
neither do we but Randall, let's let's start with quick kids,

(01:36):
as we have all season long. Quick good. So the
quick hit that we're gonna choose to start with here,
or at least I guess the game we're gonna start
to choose with. To choose to start with here is
the Rams Patriots because it's our two favorite teams playing
each other, and it only happens every so often. Obviously,
there's been a Super Bowl or two over the years

(01:58):
where they've played each other, but they did play each
other in the regular season here in New England. I
actually had a chance to go. Unfortunately, I had already
booked a gig for myself broadcast wise and came into
an opportunity last minute tickets, so I couldn't make the
use of them. But it was okay because I went
eight years ago in person and the Rams were last
in New England and it didn't go so well for

(02:20):
at the time a rookie Jared Goff, and I think
it was Jeff Fisher's last season as the coach. But
regardless it, they've begave come a long way since then,
and I thought that watching this game on Sunday, which
I was kind of working during the game, but I
went back watching everything, caught up to it, was able
to see all the scores. I mean, obviously the Rams

(02:41):
played well offensively, but I thought the Patriots kind of
showed you something, especially Drake May. He was able to
counter a few of the blows that were coming his
way as far as as the points being scored the
other way, and they, you know, they didn't give up
at any point in this game, which I thought was encouraging.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
You.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I know you're not looking for encouraging or moral victories
or anything like that, but you know, what was your assessment, Randalls,
the way the Patriots played, because I actually was surprised,
you know that it was they were literally driving at
the end of this game before the Rams kind of
sealed it there.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I'm very, very, very excited with Drake May. Okay completed
seventy five percent of his passes two hundred and eighty
yards two touchdowns. Yes, I get he had that interception
at the end. He was trying to make something happen.
But also the Mario Douglas wasn't even looking for the ball.
How are you as a wide receiver, John not your

(03:37):
running your downfield and you're not saying yourself, I should
probably look to see if the quarterback's gonna come my way. Now,
I get it was a little overthrown, but I'm still
thinking that the Mario Douglas could have at least went
upfield on it, made an adjustment, done something to try
to catch the ball or at least stop it from
getting intercepted. But I'm very excited with the way Drake

(04:02):
May is playing. So much more to see from him
than anything we saw out of mac Jones. That's going
the right direction. Other than that, the Patriots think, and honestly,
the Rams should be embarrassed that this was even a game.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Well, I mean, at the end of the day, they
still covered the spread. You know, they were minus five
and we had them. I think they were down at
four and a half, one point back up to five
and a half, but they covered six points here with
the wins, So they should maybe feel like, Okay, we
probably should have had another, you know, maybe a two
score game against this team as far as the the deficit.
But at the same time, they also made one of

(04:40):
the longest trips in the country coming out from LA
on what was a short week after playing the Dolphins
on Monday night, So you can't take all that away
from them. I thought they responded well after a loss
to the Dolphins last Monday night. But from the Patriots perspective,
I kind of agree with you. I feel like, you know,
you've got a guy here who's shown that he could
play certainly better than Mac Jones. I mean, we're seeing

(05:03):
it in real time because Matt Jones is literally getting
a chance to play right now for the Jaguars and
it's going about as awfully as you can imagine it's going.
But with with Drake May, I mean, you've got a
guy who has put together multiple drives. Now, as you said,
he's completing a lot of his passes and he's doing
this all with with I don't want to, like, you know,
insult them too much, but these wide receivers are not great.

(05:24):
I think if you look at them on paper, compared
to most other receiving groups in the league. They've got
a bunch of number three and number four receivers out there.
You know, Kendrick Bourne may stand out a little bit
from the rest of the pack when he's fully healthy
and you know he's engaged, but the rest of that
group is just kind of mid to use a term
from the younger generation, and they do have the two

(05:45):
tight ends who've mixed in as well. But you can't
win games, you know, consistently relying on tight ends unless
their names are Travis Kelcey, Robert Kowski or whoever you
want to name. But it's there's a few of them,
you know what I mean. So I think they have
to put better weapons around him, which I anticipate they'll
do going forward considering he's on a rookie contract.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, I mean the wide receivers for the Patriots, they
dropped some easy passes that should have been caught as well. However,
I am excited for really just Drake May I mean,
there's just nothing else to really be excited about. The
defense is in. I don't know if it was some

(06:24):
of the play calling too, but they just need to
get a whole new system around him. But hey, when
you got Cooper Cup and Pooqua Nakoula, like you're the Rams,
that's all you need, right.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, I mean they them being back is going to
major help for the Rams outlook right now for them,
they're five and five, they're game back to the division
of the Cardinals, but they have some tougher games coming up,
so I'm still optimistic that they can make the playoffs.
But I think their biggest test, you know, in the
immediacy is going to be the Eagles, who are coming
up this upcoming Sunday on Today Football against Luckily it's

(07:02):
in LA, but the Eagles fans do travel well, and
they're a team that has fans everywhere, and they're also
a team that has played really well lately, so that's
gonna be interesting game. And they've got the Bills a
couple of games away, and they've got the forty nine ers.
They've got some tough games left, but they do have
you know, the Saints, they have the Jets, they have
games that should be winnable as well. So I could
see the Rams getting of these last you know, seven

(07:25):
games they've got to play. If they can go four
and then three, they're looking at a nine and an
eight record, which may or may not get you in
the playoffs in the NFC, but it's gonna be a tough,
tough sled for them to climb, or tough hill for
them to climb. Here all right around the rest of
the league, Let's start with Thursday Night Football, we have
the big, big match between the Eagles and then Jayden

(07:46):
Daniels and the Commanders. The Eagles obviously have been the
team playing really well lately. As I just mentioned, I
think this makes six straight wins for them. Now if
I'm correct on that map, maybe it's five straight, but regardless,
know it is six. So they won six straight games
now since dropping that game to the Bucks in late September.
And now the Commanders. I don't want to say they're

(08:08):
regressing because I know you're still very high on them.
You have been winning the division this year, but they
now lose two tough games in a row, one point
affair to the Steelers and eight point little to the Eagles.
James Daniels has maybe come back down to earth a
little bit. So Randall, I ask you simply, are you
starting to worry a little bit about this Commanders to
win the division pick? Or you're still holding firm that
you think they'll get it all figured out as they

(08:29):
currently sitting out behind the Eagles in the division.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yeah, I mean I am getting a little more nervous
on that pick. I mean, they were plus one thousand
for a reason, John, Right, Yeah, But I will say
that the Eagles are playing well. They're playing great football
right now, and they're doing something. At this point last
year they were was it? I believe it was last

(08:52):
year they started off and then they hit that huge skit.
But in all those games I could see leading up
to it, I wasn't And it started with a win
against New England last year, right like, it wasn't anything impressive.
They almost blew the game. But now their wins are

(09:13):
good quality wins. They're they're playing great offense, playing great defense.
I truly do think the Eagles should win the division,
even though the Commanders are only like a game and
a half out.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yeah, I think what we're starting to see is that,
you know, it's been two games, and granted it's the
Steelers and Eagles are two good teams, but I think
the teams are starting to maybe catch up to Jane
Daniels a little bit here. I mean, he had such
an unbelievable start that you really couldn't believe. It was
kind of like c. J. Stroud last year, like and
Stroud was able to kind of carry that through the season,
and we've seen him at times now this year kind

(09:51):
of go through a little bit of a sophomore slump,
even though they had a nice win and Red bounce
back this past week. But Daniels, I mean, he's obviously
a guy who's gonna have dual threat always, but he's
got to kind of learn to, you know, figure out
the best ways to utilize that. And I mean that
in a respectful way, because obviously we have those gifts,
you want them to utilize them, and obviously look at

(10:13):
Lamar Jackson's guys win multiple MVPs. But I think that
the biggest thing is that you can't always be looking
to run when things start going bad and vice versa.
If you're throwing the ball, you have to know where
you're going and that you have to have guys that
are going to be your you know, go to guys,
and he hasn't Terry mclauren, but he didn't really find
mclauren a lot in this game early on, especially, so

(10:33):
I think what you're seeing as a team that's starting
to be maybe what we expected a little bit more
of from them coming in, and I think maybe they
kind of had that that early glow up where now
them coming back down is a little bit more, you know,
not so surprising, but that and then again, I say
they're played. They played the Steelers and Eagles, two teams
that have played really well of late. They are both

(10:54):
on winning streaks, so I have to give them some
sort of credit for that, even though they didn't in
those games. So I guess we'll see with the with
the Commanders what it looks like moving forward for them.
They're still obviously in a great position to make the playoffs.
They've got, you know, a couple of teams coming up here,
and the Cowboys and the Titans in in very in
Saints after that. Honestly, they've got three very winnable games

(11:16):
here in a row where I think you can look
back and say, Okay, if they can win all three
these and suddenly they're ten and four, they'll be right
back in a great spot.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I mean, they're scoring points, John, like they were a
couple of plays away in that Pittsburgh game from really
winning it. Right. Yeah, But I I think what you
said a little bit is true. You know, teams are
starting to figure out Shad and Daniels. He needs to
get the ball to Scary Terry a lot more. Mm hm.
He's the guy there, right, We need to feed him

(11:48):
the ball but Eagles, no doubt in my mind right now,
they're playing the best football in that division.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah, one hundred percent, I think you could. You can't
argue that. Really. They will play each other again later
in the season. I do believe this was only the
first meeting between the two of them, so I'm trying
to see when exactly here. Yeah, it'll be the third
to last week the season, just before Christmas. Still play
on the twenty second of December. So another big game
probably down the line. And who knows, Eagles are still

(12:20):
rolling in The Commanders picked up a couple more wins.
That could be a huge game as far as the
division goes. All right, the Ravens and Steelers played a
really good, close divisional game. This was kind of like
the old school Ravens Steelers games, back from when you
were like a kid Randall and I was not much older,
but still back in the two thousands or even the
late nineties, I guess. But eighteen sixteen, the Steelers kicked

(12:43):
six wheel goals won the game. Ravens, you know, are
they overrated? They have all the discussions you want. They've
looked really good at times this year. They've always also
looked really bad. They've blown some games at times this year,
which I think was the case in this one. They didn't. Well,
I guess they didn't blow this one so much to speak,
they didn't. They only leave they had the seven six,

(13:04):
But you have to say that they left opportunities on
the table. You know, what did you think of the
raven Steelers divisional game? Because the Steelers obviously come out
on the right side of this, but it wasn't necessarily
a big offensive showing.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
It wasn't nice. Steelers kicked their field goals. Where did
the Ravens make their field goals?

Speaker 1 (13:21):
John, Nope, Justin Tucker is washed.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
He is falling down a very very very dark hole. John.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
I mean, he's falling off that cliff that Max Kellerman
kept talking about for Brady.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Exactly, which is crazy because you wouldn't really think that
a kicker would have a cliff. But he missed two
field goals again, John, that clearly obviously would have impacted
the game when you lose by only two. But Lamar
wasn't looking great in this game to start, right like,
he did not have a solid performance. I'm surprised that

(13:56):
they didn't give Derrick Henry that many touches as well.
He only had their team carries John and he has
five yards of carry.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
So think it's a game planning issue from this game
from them, It could be.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
I mean, are they in trouble. I don't know, but
I feel like Lamar and the team always kind of
folds in big moment games, right besides the Bills game,
that was the really the only true victory I feel
that they've had. They barely beat the Bengals, right, they
and that should have been a loss. But I mean,

(14:34):
other than that, Yeah, you beat the Commanders, you beat
the Bengals twice already. I mean, I'm not I'm not
seeing it, John, I'm not seeing this Ravens team making
a huge playoff push. They got a good test against
the Chargers Brotherly Love matchup coming up, But I mean,

(14:55):
other than that, they have pretty easy schedule the rest
of the way, and I'm I'm not I'm not sold.
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Is that the brotherly Love matchup?

Speaker 2 (15:06):
It's the two brothers against each other, the Harborough matchup?

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Oh yeah, yeah, I got it. I went right over
my head at first. I was like, what are you
talking about? But everybody else has been calling it the horrible,
So yeah, I like it. Where do you put the
Steelers though, in the ranks of the AFC. I think
I asked you a similar question last week, But I
feel like everybody keeps talking about the Bills and the
Chiefs and the Ravens and whoever. But the Steelers right

(15:33):
now would be three seeds in the AFC, and they
looked really good.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
They're eating two, they're eight and two, and that defense
is uh juggernaut, John. I mean, they've allowed the second
fewest points in the a f C. Okay, I mean
in all of football, they've allowed the second fewest. Okay,
So they their defense We've all known this is incredible,

(16:00):
absolutely incredible, and I think Russell Wilson found a great
fit inside of it, and they're gonna continue to win games.
This is the first time I'm gonna say it. The
Steelers are legit. They're gonna make a big playoff push,
Like they are actually going to make a playoff push,
and would not be surprised if they make the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Well they're yeah, right now, They're certainly in the mix
of the player in the top echelon of the AFC.
They're gonna be right there in the thick of the playoffs.
Can they win this division? Will they be off hold
off the Ravens. They went a long way. Yes, yeah,
and they went a long way in doing that by
winning this first game and not incredibly for them, Randal
was their first division game of the season when they

(16:43):
played the Ravens this past week. So they have another
one coming up though. They're playing the Browns on Thursday
Night Football this week, so they'll be right back to
it with another divisional game and another one that you
look at them and think that they should win. The
Lions kind of blew out the Jaguars. Not kind of.
They did bluff the Jaguars fifty two six. The Browns
got blown out by the Saints ram But do you

(17:04):
have anything of note from either of these games? The
only thing I'll say about the Jaguars. The funny thing
is they went up three to nothing in this game. Uh,
and then we're out scored fifty two to three the
rest of the way.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yikes, going right there. There was a press conference Doug
Peterson had yesterday that they showed and that dude just
looked defeated. He knew, he knows his job is done.
He knows he's out, like he knows. There is no
way this man is staying another season, even though his

(17:37):
court both his quarterbacks are.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Booty cheeks.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Booty cheeks exactly.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah. I mean Truman Lawrence hasn't been healthy, but we
know that deal. And he was not playing well at
all before he went out. And Mac Jones has been awful.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah, they mom to the barrel and I think I
picked them to win the division this year too. I
thought they got they had the pieces. They have the pieces.
How are they not good? That's the question, John, is
they have the pieces? How are they not good?

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Mm?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
I'm not really sure, but regardless, it's it's not gone well.
And I mean they they were a team that they're
I think their owner before this season said he thought
they had the best team that he's ever had. So
we know that how that's gone. The Saints. I know
the Saints have kind of found something these last couple
of weeks with the interim coach here. I know it
was the Browns this week, who have not been very

(18:36):
good this season, but this is two straight wins. Taysom
Hill went off in this game, which kind of sucked
because I had Alvin Kamara action a lot of places
and he didn't really do anything. But do you think
the Saints that are onto anything here with this newfound
coaching situation two straight wins?

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Taysom Hill had himself a day. My goodness, who saw
that one coming? That dude just resurrected? Like what an
athlete he is? Right, Like, yeah, he's good for those
He's good for like two of those games a year, though,
you know what I mean? And the crazy thing is
the Saints at four and seven john not out of

(19:16):
the division. Yeah, they're not out of the division where
the Falcons are six and five. But this thing is
neck and neck and the NFC South every year is
always the best of the worst, I feel like, and
it's gonna continue to be that way. It seems.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
It's the great way to put it, because it seems
like every year you've got the same thing going on.
Like what you just said. The Falcons are leading division
with six wins, but they're you know, they're not. They
could be better than that. And right behind them there's
teams that you think would be out of it. To
the Saints here at four and seven are only two
games out right now and if they keep playing this
well with a new coach and they get something from

(19:51):
Taysom Hill, who knows. Uh, this is a chance for
Janis to go back to New Orleans where he spent
a couple of years as the backup and didn't go out.
It didn't go well for him.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh, you didn't have a bad game, right like you? Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
He threw for four almost four hundred yards actually three
to ninety five, made thirty completions. It wasn't necessarily his fault,
but the defense didn't really help him out in this one.
Jerry Judy had a big game too. By the way, Well,
the Jets, I don't really know what else to say
about them at this point. They did you know, it
happened again, Anthony Richardson. He started this game, It was

(20:27):
going well for the Colts in the first half, and
then the Jets kind of figured it out in the
second half a little bit. But then they still end
up having the jaws of defeat ripped from them or
whatever you want to say. I don't think that's the
right way to say that phrase, but they ripped away
the last minute here is Richardson ran in for a
touchdown with forty six seconds left in and the Jets

(20:48):
couldn't get down the field for a field goal attempt.
So what do you what do you make of this game?
I mean, or not this game, but you what do
you make of the Jets here? And more specifically maybe
the Colt because the Colts are the team that reinserted
Anthony Richardson. They're now at five and six, uh and
kind of just like we just mentioned, you know, they're
not completely out of their division even with a losing record.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Right now, John, what list did we put the Jets on?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Well, you know what list they're on. They're on the
booty cheek list. They're on the don't bet list.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, they do not bet lists.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
And I didn't do it. I didn't do it this week.
I didn't do it for the first time.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I'm like, are just really gonna lose at home? As
favorites and back to back weeks? I know?

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Yeah? How they keeping By the way, what is Vegas
doing there?

Speaker 2 (21:42):
This one was by four points? I believe there were
four point favorites and you know what, they just keep
proving like when you create a do not bet list,
John and the listeners.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
At home, it's exactly what it sounds like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
You just think to it. I did to it two
weeks last week, two weeks ago when I bet the
Jets to win against Arizona cost me money. This one
right here, stick to it. Stick to it like this
just proves you stick to it. And I stayed away
from him. I'm like, no, I have a Dono bet list.
They're on it. I'm gonna honor it. If Aaron Rodgers

(22:20):
tries coming back next year, like I really want to
know if the Jets are gonna try to take him.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Here's the thing is, they just fired Joe Douglass yesterday,
their general manager. They obviously fired Robert Solid earlier this year.
This is all coming from the owner. And what I
understand is, as I've listened to a couple of these
things that he said afterwards, from my understanding is, Aaron
Rodgers has no desire to retire. He wants to keep playing. However,

(22:49):
I don't know if it will be with the Jets,
because the Jets seem to be of the mindset that
they need to move on, that they need to start.
You know, if they're gonna bring in a fresh coach,
a fresh GM, they need to have a fresh quarterback
as well, especially because you have a guy here who's
not going to be playing for another ten twenty years.
You know what I mean, it's the this guy's.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Killer to John, he's a culture. Yeah, there's no way
if you're trying, if you are bringing a new GM,
you are bringing in a new head coach. There is
no way you're gonna have to bring in a lot
of new players. It doesn't make sense. Hey, yeah, let's
have Aaron Rodgers for one to two years, kill the culture,
poison the water hole, John for the guys that are

(23:28):
gonna be there for a while, and next thing you know, boom,
you're gonna have to be doing the whole kitting caboodle again.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Was that like the toy story, like the Woody action
figure when he says, somebody poison the water hole. Somebody's
poisoning the water hole exactly. That's what you made me
think of with that. That's good.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Thinking.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
But yeah, I mean, right now, the culture is awful
and it's I mean, you bring in a guy like
this and you thought maybe he'd help Trent turn things around,
but it really has just become a joke at this point.
How bad they are, you know, they're not in the
playoff Nicks at all right now three and eight. They
would need to win out and even that would be
a long shot if they went nine to eight to

(24:15):
make the playoffs. So the Jets are just I don't
even know where to start with them. Because he thought things.
I certainly thought things. I know you haven't been high
on them at all with Rogers, but I thought things
would get a lot better this year with him healthy,
and I've been wrong. They've just gotten even worse.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
So he saw it at the end of Green Bay.
Now saw through hard locks, saw through this offseason, like
the dude just does not care. Man like, he does
not care. Yeah, it's he's done, he's toasts. It's you're

(24:49):
either gonna go dark Knight reference here.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Oh yeah, okay, I know, long enough.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
To become a villain or you die a hero.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
You're supposed to say, you die a hero, or you
live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Yes, and and that that's what that has happened with
everybody except my great man Tom Brady. That man died.
That man, well he technically retired a hero. So because
he was still playing at a high level and retired.
But that's what's happening with Aaron Rodgers. This dude's still living,
and he is becoming.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
The villain, the villain the devils damn going harsh. Yeah, no,
I don't disagree. How about his former his former division mates,
the Vikings. They're now eight and two with Sam Darnold.
They beat the Titans, which obviously they're not a very
good team. But the Vikings are eight and two. Are
where we sit with them currently because they they started

(25:48):
off so good and then kind of lost a couple
of games in a row. They've kind of gotten back
on track. They're not even leading the division just simply
because the Lions are, uh, but they're obviously in a
very tight division race with a three team race that's
really good. Where are we currently filing about the Vikings?
Do you still think they're legit? Do we never?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Do?

Speaker 1 (26:07):
We never think they're legit? Are they gonna be a contender?

Speaker 2 (26:11):
I think there are gonna be a contender, John, because
just listen, in a contender for the division is what
I'm really saying. Because this is their their schedule, John,
They gotta play the Bears twice still, right, So these
are the next one two three. Over the next four weeks,
they're gonna play the Bears twice. They're gonna play Arizona
at home, and they're gonna play the Viking the Falcons

(26:34):
at home. So you have a chance to win. Really, realistically,
you should sweep the Bears. Arizona could be a coin flip.
You should beat the Falcons. They're nothing special right now.
So I mean they have a chance right here to
go into the final stretch with a division title on

(26:55):
the line. Okay, they really do have a great opportunity
to be here. I mean, you just lost the Lines
by two a month ago. Okay, so they're they're they're
serious seam. Whenever you have a wide receiver like Justin
Jefferson and a defense like they do. Because Brian, I'm

(27:18):
blanking on his knee. The defensive coordinator, John.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
You got it, you can figure it out? Good, you
got it?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Oh my god, he's the Dolphins TechNet. Brought Flores.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
No, just Flores. There you go, Brian.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Flores, there we go. I appreciate your help.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Always, man, Yeah, what about him? Their defense is good?

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Their defense is great. Their defense is great. So when
you're mixing an amazing wide receiver you got t. J.
Hockinson back, great defense. They're they're gonna be contenders, and
I still think they could push the right to stay
perfect to win the division.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, I mean that last week of the season that
they're playing each other could be could be awesome if
it ends up being you know, the Vikings only have
two losses or three losses and the Lions have one
or two. That could be a lot of fun. But
your point remains true. They have a lot of winnable
games up coming. Possibly. They've only lost two games, which
one was to the Rams, which obviously I'm happy about.

(28:26):
The other one was to the Lions the week prior
to that. So they're good. They're definitely good. It's just
a matter of are they going to be able to
hold up in that division. If they don't hold up
in that division, I have to go on the road
for a wildcard game. Does that ultimately affect them? So
we'll see in the long run, the Dolphins beat the Raiders.
The Dolphins seem to be rounding back into form. Here,

(28:46):
they're at four and six. Do you give them any
chance with two and now back having won the last
two games? Do you think this Dolphins team could make
a push for a playoff spot, and you know, be
careful because you are technically local.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Miami media knows young because the Patriots are coming into
town next week and gonna ruin their hopes and dreams,
and the Dolphins make the playoffs. Dude, come on, And
I get it, like they are technically in that they're
in a hunt, the hunt phase. But if we're talking

(29:18):
about four and seven teams or they're sorry four and six,
I'm taking sinci. Still. I'm still betting on Cincinnati to
do some miracle comeback. Okay, but there are just so
many better teams better than the Dolphins that are gonna
make in it. The Patriots, the New England Patriots have
scored one more point. I get it, it's been one

(29:41):
more game, but they've scored more points this year than
the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Technically, yeah, well, the Dolphins didn't have two of for
a while and their offense is night and day with him.
I mean, they meet the Rams last Monday, which again
I can be salty about all I want, which is
a good win for them going on the road to
do that on Monday night, and then they rebound and
with a win here against the Raiders. So they're you know,
they're beating teams that on paper, they should either be
a toss up or be beating And that's good for

(30:07):
them because if they have any chance of making any
sort of playoff push, they're gonna have to win games.
But like you said, it's probably not likely just given
the factor four and six. They would have to be really,
really good. But still a couple of tough games coming up.
I think they still have the Bills one more time.
Maybe not. They already played the Bills. They already played

(30:28):
the Bills twice. Actually, they have the Texans on the road,
they have the Niners at home. You know, they do
finish with the Browns and the Jets. They have two
games against the Jets, so I mean you can look
at that and say if they could.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Beat them both, yeah, I mean those are divisional games
that could be a split honestly, long.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Way yeah, right right.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
You beat New England, that's a win. You'll lose to
the Packers on Thanksgiving in Green Bay. You're one and one,
two and one, you're gonna beat the Jets. You're gonna
we'll say they beat the Texans loose to the forty
nine Ers. Beat the Browns, lose to the Jets again
on the final game of the year. That's gonna be
determining them whether they get in or not. So let's

(31:07):
see that's one, two, three, four more wins. That's only
gonna put them, John at eight eight. Yeah, and that's
not gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
On the AFC. You're right, but you kind of just
played a random game of let me give them wins
and losses.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
So I don't know you can add to educated games, John,
it's an educated game, all right.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Hey, love more power to you. All right, then, let's
let's talk about the last few games we had this week.
The Broncos and Falcons. Probably not worth talking about it all.
The Broncos just kind of trounced the Falcons. Bonix played well,
Kirk Cousins, this offense couldn't get anything going. The only
thing of note was that we got to look at
Michael Pennock's the very end of this game, and I

(31:55):
don't know if you saw it and throwing the ball
at all, but that ball just explodes out of his hand.
So he's gonna be I think at some point, maybe
not next year even, but at some point he'll be
a factor as an NFL quarterback. Just remember where he
heard that first?

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Are they gonna trade him? I did not see. I
did not see John any of the highlights of him playing.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Oh that's because I mean there weren't like any touchdown
throws or anything. He literally I always saw him throw
the ball a few times, but there was one where
he threw the ball downfield and he just like flicked
his wrists. And I gotta tell you, seeing a lefty
throw a ball in a Falcons uniform downfield on a
flick of a wrist, it really did remind me of
Michael Vick, even though he's not the same kind of
player as Vic at all. He's not a.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Rushing games with Michael's.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yet he is a Michael and he's got maybe one
more letter in his last name in VIC. But you
get what I'm going for. But he's he's lefty. He's
playing quarterback to the Falcons. He's not the starter, but
I think he could be. Maybe next year, maybe they
trade Kirk Cousins. I know he's signed a contract, but
maybe they trade him to a team that needs a
quarterback and they go with the future guy. The Packers

(32:59):
Bears game, it was interesting the Bears. They had to
lead late late, and then Jordan Loves ran for a
touchdown with just under three minutes to go gave the
Packers the lead for good. They won by one point.
The Falcons or the Bears could not get in field
goal position to try one more time at the end there,
so actually they did get in field where they missed

(33:20):
the field goal at the ends. What I should say because.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
It was kind of block, it was block, it was blocked. Yeah,
I've never seen so many blocks in my life. Yeah,
Patriots had a pat blocked by the Rams uh in
the game. I mean, like you just said, back to
back weeks of blocked and nothing crazy either, Like these

(33:42):
were not long field goals, yeah, and back to back weeks,
but they blocked it. They won the Bears Bears thinks, yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, they're no good. I was shocking the Packers actually
got this far in the game with them. But for
the Packer's sake, it was really good for their quick
case that they came out with a win. The Seahawks
won on the last minute by Gino Smith. Literally I
think he might have had the latest touchdown in regulation
on the day. Maybe an Anthony Richardson was I think
late had forty six seconds. Gino Smith I think scored

(34:15):
with what like fifteen twelve seconds something like that. Regardless, though,
he gave them a lead, and yeah, that was it
for good for them. They took the lead. It was
let me see that I'm trying to figure at the
exact time so I can'll give it to you accurately.
Twelve seconds left, he scrambled in the n zone for
a touchdown to win this game. So the NFC West

(34:37):
is kind of crazy right now. Randal, We've kind of
talked about a little bit, but this was a weird
win for the Seahawks in the end, and for the
forty nine ers. I mean, they've gotten mccavarry back the
last couple of weeks, they still just haven't looked like
the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Now, John's the game they needed to have. You're at home,
right and anytime you're at home, you want to really
feel like you have that home field advantage and take
advantage of it. Some teams really do, some teams don't.
But for the most part, the forty nine ers had
been taking care of business at home until this year.
I mean you lose, did they? It ain't Who did

(35:19):
they lose to this year at home? Besides them?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
They were at home when they lost to the Chiefs,
to the Chiefs, Yes, and lost the Cardinals at home too.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Actually, this was a game, John where you need to
have it, you know, divisional opponent. You can't let them
score with fifteen seconds to go on the clock.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Yeah, not even twelve, like I said, you know they did.
I think this is the situation for them where they
played the Seahawks a few weeks prior. They did beat
them in Seattle, so you kind of look at that
as a wash. But you're right, and being at home
after having beaten them in Seattle already kinds they're smelling
blood in the water, like we could sweep these guys
this year after beating them up in Seattle. But I'll

(36:03):
give Ginos did a lot of credit because he keeps
on fighting. This was not a great game overall for them,
as far as you know, offensive production. He didn't have
a pretty good completion percentage. But as far as like
picks were concerning through a pick you didn't have any
touchdown passes. But again they found a way to win,
and I give them credit because this division kind of
stays steady. Both those teams are five and five, Rams

(36:25):
are five and five, and then you've got the Cardinals
that are six and fours as the leader, so anything
can still happen. Out West, you have this highly touted
Chiefs Bills game at four PM on Sunday ended up
being a pretty good game, but in the end, it
was the Bills that were able to score the last
touchdown and ultimately hold off the Chiefs by nine points

(36:47):
to give the Chiefs their first loss of the season.
So Randall, I you know, I think maybe I did
text you happy Chiefs lost day? Did I text you
that on Sunday? Because I figured, yeah, I figured you'd
be very happy to see that. So you know what,
let me just give you the floria for a second,
because I know you're happy to see that the Chiefs

(37:08):
finally to go L this season.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
John, They should have been taken l's all season long.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Man. Yeah, you send me your favorite thing to send me.
You sent me your what the record should be for
every team, because you do this like once a year,
and I think the Chiefs were like two to nine, right.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
It was in one score games? Okay, one score games.
What should records be. Cincinnati would be at the top
of the top of the list, they would have the
best record in the NFL, and and Kansas City would
be at the bottom of the list. And I get it.
You're gonna to be a good team, you have to
win the one score games. I get that most of
the scores in the NFL are one score games, and

(37:48):
a lot of teams some some stayed right in the
middle and didn't really fluctuate that much. But in this
instance that she just gets so lucky. John. I'm not
saying it's still, but what I'm saying is because of
this loss, the downward spiral is going to start to go.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
It could. I mean, look, I've been kind of defending
them week by week because I've been saying that they
haven't figured it out yet and they're still winning games. Well,
I'm kind of the point now where you know, if
you haven't figured it out ten games into the year,
and you know you're going to lose to the good
teams in the league, And maybe you are what Randall's
been saying you are the whole time. Maybe you are
kind of fraudulent. I mean, if you just put Mahomes's

(38:34):
numbers up on whatever against the rest of his career
numbers against the best quarterbacks this season in the league,
they're not good. So I mean, he's fifteen touchdowns to
eleven picks now, which is not a negative ratio. But
he's just not having the same types of years or
making the same plays consistently he's had over the years.
And maybe it says something about the players around him

(38:55):
now because obviously the best best player they have on
paper as far as receivers concerned, is an older tight end,
and you know, the second best one might be an
older wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. They have all these young
guys who haven't quite figured it out yet, but I
don't know if they will. I mean, they lose this
game having to go on the road to Buffalo, and
it's likely that their first playoff game will be at home,

(39:17):
just simply because they're going to win that division. However,
I don't know that they're going to be the same
team that has just been able to win all these
super Bowls. But I've also learned my lessons with them
because you never want to count them out. And I
might not be saying the same thing I said last
week or every other week prior about them. But I'm
not certainly going to say that the one is over

(39:38):
because I'm not a salty Patriots fan. I can live
in reality, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
I'm in reality too, I'm in the reality that this
is not their year, unfortunately for them. I'm sorry, Okay,
all right.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Bengals Charters game was kind of crazy because the Chargers
were up by three touchdowns twenty seven to six at
one point, and then all of a sudden, the Bengals
were just boom boom boom, score score score. Joe Burrows
had such a great year offensively, he threw for three
fifty and three touchdowns in this game, but they end
up on the wrong side again. The Bengals fall to

(40:15):
four and seven, the Chargers now seven and three. So
you know, what do you make of this game and
each of these teams? Because do you think the Chargers
are legitimate contenders in the AFC? And do you think
the Bengals are kind of cooked now at four and seven,
even though they've been you know, a weird four and seven,
as you just alluded to with your stat a moment
ago as well.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
John, I mean, it's.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
If I haven't upset you, it's just it.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Lets me down to see the Bengals doing what they're doing. Yeah,
you know, like the dude is bawling, John, Yeah, sorry, dudes,
uh right, Like and then they showed a stat for
quarterback to average three hundred yards, throw, three touchdowns, zero interceptions.

(41:10):
His record is like zher and three this year four
and and I get it. You know, maybe still just
Evan McPherson missing kicks. When does that happen? Right? The defense?
The defense just lets everybody pass on through. I've seen

(41:30):
so many funny memes, John, I gotta send you, like
guys recreating like, hey, don't worry, it's Joe Burrow and
someone pretended to be Joe Burrow like, hey, guys, don't worry,
I got us. Boom, I'm gonna throw a touchdown. Boom.
They throw a touchdown. Then as soon as like he
takes a foot off to the sidelines, the guys like, hey, Joe,
but you forgot defense. There goes by ankles. So it's

(41:58):
it's funny to laugh about those things. But I really
feel bad because I feel like we're watching the winless
Detroit Lions. Man mm hmm, Like and it's crazy that
Matthew Stafford is part of those teams.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
I don't think it's quite that bad because they have
four wins, but it is kind of crazy because they
are playing really good offensively and they're losing, kind of
like those teams that you're alluding to with Stafford back
in Detroit. But I just I don't really know if
the defense is bad or if they're just like I
don't know, I don't know if other teams are just
having really good games against it. It just seems like the

(42:34):
Bengals always end up on the unfortunate side of things.
And like you said, Mherson missing field goals. They paid
him a lot of money. He's got to make those.
The kickers have one job and the long grant team
of things. You know, you should be out there practicing
kicks NonStop to the point where your leg is about
to fall off, you know, during the week, and then
give yourself a couple of days before the games that
your leg actually doesn't fall off. But this should be

(42:55):
all they're doing and concerning themselves with throughout the week
is how could I be the best kicker to win games?
And I'll ultimately he didn't end up helping them out
in this one all that much. So Chargers win, though
they are very much in the thick of the AFC
playoff hunt and the top of the playoff picture as well.
And then Monday night we had this Texans Cowboys game.

(43:16):
It's probably not worth getting too much into here, because
the Cowboys are booty without Dak Prescott especially. They're out
zero to five at home. I think they had their
first offensive touchdown of the year at home, which was
kind of hard to believe, but they'd still lost. I mean,
Cooper Ross drew to three fifty in this game, but
he also threw the ball fifty five times, and the
Texans just kind of had their way on the ground

(43:38):
with Joe Mixon and whatever. But the interesting thing about
this game was that there was a piece of the
roof that fell before the game. And I just can't
help but think, man, every week, this Cowboys stadium roof
is under some sort of discussion, whether it be for
the sun or for just random pieces of metal falling.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
John, I have no clue how like that did not
hit or anybody. Seriously, we just start falling apart, man,
Like what it's.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Like if that's not a metaphor for the Dallas Cowboys.
I don't know what is just things are literally falling
in the sky.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
At this point, literally from the sky.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Yeah. All right, Well, that that's about it for the
Week eleven recap. So I think it's a good time
to move into guess that spread, Randall.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
It's time to play.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Guess all right, it's time to turn our attention to
week twelve. And with that we're gonna do. We're gonna
play our first game as we always do, random and
I will go through some player prop spreads and try
to make each other guess who is right who is

(44:54):
wrong on what the line will be for any given player. Randall,
I've been dominating the season. You've been right there with
me a lot of weeks. But last week I did
pick up another dub. I have to kind of calculate
how many of these weeks I've actually won. I know
you won your fourth.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
You're a fourth quarter guy, man, You're coming up big
in the fourth quarter, and you did it again last week.
We were tied and then next thing, you know, damn
fourth quarter. Fourth quarter. Yeah, fourth.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
So I think I think this year I have three
wins and you have one win. And then the rest
of the weeks have all been ties. Notably week seven,
I went two and two out of three and still
beat you when you had one on three. That's the
only week that one of us has gotten more than one,
by the way. But either way, last week I pulled
out one in the magic at the end of the

(45:38):
wide receiver, and I went one in three or one
out of three. You were zero for three again, Randall,
do you want me to give you one first or
would you like to give me one first?

Speaker 2 (45:48):
You know what, John, I'm gonna give you one first
because I want to one to walk it off this time. Okay, already, John,
So what we're gonna do is we are gonna go
with Pittsburgh at Cleveland. Jamus Winston passing yards. Hm hmm.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
Okay, let me see here. So you've got Jameis Winston
passing yards. He's playing who again.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Sorry, Pittsburgh, Ara, Hold all right.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
I'm gonna say that his number is going to be
too seventeen and a half.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
Ding two thirteen. Woh pot John, Wow.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Okay, all right, that's pretty good for me. All right, Randall,
So let me see here, let me see I'm gonna
go ahead and give you uh brock Purty. He's playing
at green Bay this weekend at four twenty five on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Mmmm where where green Bay?

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Yeah? Rock Party?

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Two fifty seven and a half. That's way too high.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
You want to amend that or no.

Speaker 2 (47:28):
No, I'll keep it. I should have gone to the forties.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
It's two thirty eight and a half.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
I was gonna say to thirty seven, Well you didn't.
I should have amended it. I should have amended it.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
I gave you the chance.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Man, you did. I'm sorry, gosh darn it. That is
ridiculously stupid.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Up me sorry, presself up?

Speaker 2 (47:55):
All right, Here we go, Here we go. Henry Baltimore
at the Charges.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Oh man, he's been having such a great year. I mean,
you're giving me guys, and I feel like I can
guess and if I can go two for two here,
that'd put me. You in a really tough spot. I'm
gonna say this number is gonna be pretty high, not
quite touching a hundred, but he's got to be somewhere
in that like high high, double double digit realm. I'm

(48:25):
gonna say, like eighty eight and a half.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
John, is there a fire department by you buy any chance. No, why, well,
you better call nine one one because you are on
fire right now. Eighty seven and a half.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
Oh god, that is good. I feel like that was
pretty easy though, because he's like a mainstream running back
that you.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Know, always easy job.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
All right, let me give you Joe Mixon, Tennessee is
playing at Houston. He's coming out of one hundred yard
performances a few days ago on Monday night against Dallas.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
That he is. You're trying to get me a little,
uh mixed up and confused. I see, I'm.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Gonna go mixed up, mixed.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
Mixing up. I'm gonna go with seventy six and a half.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Oh he should have gone ten higher because it was
eighty six and a half, which means that I officially
have won again. No, No, that's right, that's right, that's right,
exactly okay, all right, I even decide exactly worth five
two two okay, So I even if so if I

(49:44):
get this one, then it's still.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
Over correct correct. So I made you get it wrong,
and I need a hope for a push out here.
Unbelievable by ten off. I was alright, here we go
where you're gonna go? Will Jamie Waddle Who New England?

(50:08):
Jalen Waddel, Yeah, Jalen Waddle, New England at Miami. What
do you got for the Wadler man?

Speaker 1 (50:19):
All right, he's the second guy. I really don't know
what he's been putting up, but I have to imagine.
I'm gonna say, this is fifty four and a half.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
You suck thirty six and a half.

Speaker 1 (50:37):
I was gonna go in the forties, but yeah, I
knew it was too high. All right, Randall, let me
give you one that you can maybe get an exactly
on here. Oh yeah, you know what I'm feeling like.
I'm in a good mood right now. So that being said,
I'm gonna go with my guy Pooka Nukua at LA.

(51:00):
They're well, they're playing Philadelphia at LA.

Speaker 3 (51:04):
Let's see here, who couldn't occur. I'm gonna go with
It's gonna be eighties nineties. I'm gonna go eighties, eighty
four and a half.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
M it was seventy six and a half. What that is?

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Nonsense? Oh? This game is rigged, man. I don't appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
I don't know what you want me to do. I've
just been on fire this year, killing the man, euro
for three. It was two for three. It's another win.
For the second time this year, either one of us
has gotten two in a week, and both times it's
been me, So I feel honored that one that does
it for That's somebody's having fun this year. Oh Man, all.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
Got worse and we're like last week, I was depressed
on the guests that spread. This week, I'm getting shut
out on the two old blowout. This is a blowout, John,
a two oh blowout.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
It's okay. Look, you still have time to come back
and maybe a couple of Exactly's can help you. I
do have good news for you, though, because it's time
for hard locks, and that's where you've been buttering your
bread all year. Butter my biscuits, John, Yes, butter your
biscuit Randall.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
Because it's time to play hard loss.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
All right. So Randall went two and one last week,
as did I, but he still has the much better
record on the year seventeen fifteen one fourteen eighteen one.
I guess it's not much better, but you're still over
five hundred. You've kind of alternated winning weeks the last
couple of weeks, so you're back in the right side.
Of things. I'm back on the right side of things
for the first time since Week eight. So that being said, Randall,

(53:10):
let's jump into this week's picks.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
Do with John.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
All Right, I'll go first, just because I feel like
I owe you that much. I'm gonna go ahead and
take the Vikings on the road here to start things.
They're playing at Chicago. They're three and a half as
it currently sits on the book that I'm looking at,
So that's what I feel comfortable taking them at. If
this got up closer to, you know, five or six,
I don't know that i'd feel comfortable at it, but

(53:39):
I do think that they'll win a four point game
at least. Idea, you know, on the road makes me
worry a little bit because we just saw the Packers
up in trouble. But I think the Vikings are better
than the Packers, So give me the Vikings minus three
and a half at Chicago.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
I'm not sure John, if you saw, but there was
a quarterback change made this week. Did you happen to
see who it was? I did. Yes, Danny Dimes is
coming back into play. Oh sorry, Danny Dimes is taking
a seat to our man, Tommy de Vito. With that

(54:18):
being said, give me Tampa Bay minus six on the road. Yep,
I Mike Evans is coming back, John. I think they
are fighting again for a playoff spot in their division.
They're still in it. Baker's been playing well with nobody's
around them. So give me Tampa Bay minus six.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
I can I can get down with that. I think
that's a good pick for you. Yeah, you're right, Tommy
DeVito is back. He's backing better than ever. As they say,
where do I want to go with this next one?
Who do I want to pick? With my magic picking hands.
I know what I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take a
maybe a little bit of a surprise here, but I'm
gonna take a road dog. I'm gonna I'm gonna take

(55:01):
the San Francisco forty nine ers plus two and a
half at Green Bay. I think San Francisco is due
to kind of get things figured out here. I think
this is the classic case of Kyle Shanahan and Matt
Leaflore playing each other, and I feel like they have
had the Packers number a lot of the times in
the regular season. Unless I'm just completely making that up,

(55:24):
but I think that it's gonna be a good game,
and I think ultimately i'd rather side with the team
that I feel like ultimately should be the better team,
even if they are on the road. So give me
the forty nine Ers plus two and a half.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
At Green Bay, Beautiful, John, I'm gonna take a big
one here. Give me the Commanders minus ten at home
against Dallas. John. I think Jaden Daniels getting back on track.
They're gonna put up points. Everybody's putting up points right

(55:58):
now against this Dallas team. They're getting blown out in
back to back games. They don't have a clue what's
going on. Gimme Commanders minus ten.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
Yeah, that's a big spread, and I was close to
thinking about taking it myself, but I'm glad to let
you do it, my friend.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
All Right.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
The final one I'm gonna do is also a big spread.
Though they're a home team this week, they are a
division opponent or it is a division matchup that they're playing,
and so it could very well be closer than I
think it's going to be. But Houston minus eight against
Tennessee at home, I would like it a lot better
if it was seven even, because then you put the
pushback and play and you feel okay if they end

(56:37):
up with a push, but I'll take minus eight. I'll
trust the fact that they win this game by ten
points or so. The Titans are just not very good.
Houston will be at home here. They're coming off a
nice offensive performance at Dallas. They're starting to get a
little bit healthier offensively with Nico Collins coming back. It'll
be his second game back. So I'll take Houston minus
eight at home.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
I'm gonna take Arizona minus one on the road, John,
They're playing same Seattle Seattle. Okay, I think Seattle's coming
off of high they just had a huge win on
the road. There's a reason why they're gonna be a
dog at home. Even though it's basically a pick them.

(57:19):
Give me Arizona. They're playing good football right now. They
just blew out the Jets coming off of bye week,
They're they're in for a treat.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
So you said Arizona minus one, correct?

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Correct? Yep.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
It's interesting because I'm currently looking at it where I
see Seattle minus one.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Really mm hmm. I mean it's basically it's it's basically
a pick them as it is.

Speaker 1 (57:42):
Yeah, you know what I'm gonna give you Arizona plus
one here, because so.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
If it ends in a tie, I get the push,
I get the way.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, what that means? What that means a tie?
You win?

Speaker 2 (57:55):
And if they're plus if they're plus one, mm hm,
what are they?

Speaker 1 (58:02):
They're a dog? I just needed to hear you do that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Also with them being plus one, if you were to
tease it now instead of be a minus one to
tease seven, now it gets your only to five or six. Sorry,
now you tease it seven, you're getting eight points now,
So that's a two score game. Basically, that's a right
way to look at it. Perfect. So make sure folks

(58:30):
check your books.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Yeah, check your books. Make sure you got the best odds.
Always odd shops if you can. That doesn't for hard locks,
hard locks. All right, Randall, that brings us to the
last game of the show here, and I'll just turn
it right over to you because I'm getting kind of
close to crunch time here. I gotta get myself moving,

(58:52):
So go ahead.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
All right, John, I get a word. You gets the word? Job?
What is the word? A phrase?

Speaker 1 (59:02):
Well, the only thing I could think of from this episode,
and we did discuss it when I thought of it
is the woody line that you put out there poison
the water hole. So I'm gonna say the word was
waterhole today.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
John, let's find out. Oh are you gonna better my biscuits?

Speaker 1 (59:28):
John? Oh Man? Really, really you got me with the
butter of my biscuits. That was something you said in
response to me.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
Wasn't it? It literally was so perfect. I was wondering
how the heck am I gonna work this thing in?
And the next thing you know, you laid it. You
literally literally just laid it right up there for me.
So I appreciate the assist.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Of course, I'm happy to oblige. And that was Yeah,
it's two weeks in a row now that you've gotten me.
So I haven't quite had the same success that I
had there for a while where I won six out
of seven in a row for a while there, But yeah,
this is two weeks in a row that you've got
me back. So good job on getting back on track.

(01:00:20):
All right, Rand, Well that will just about do it
for us. I have a wedding to attend this evening,
so I've got to get myself ready to go. Other
than that, anything else you wanted to speak about today
John talked about No.

Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
John just wanted to let you know you're doing a
fantastic job out here. I hope you have a great
time at your wedding. I'm excited, not my.

Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
Wedding, but yes, I will have a great time. Thank
you very much. All right, Randal take us away. That'll
do it for us. Thank you everybody for being here
and listening as all these It's already week twelve. We're
counting down almost time for the playoffs in a couple
more months. So just stick with us and we'll be there.
Let's keep making some until then. Randall, got.

Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
H goodbye, goodbye, good friends, goodbye. This was the jotting
random bosps from Florida. We're both in Florida for the
first time, but we are not to get at to
get at the so
