(00:00):
I was on my weekend visit andI was going to move in Monday,
and I was in the kitchen withher and we were making tacos and she
was wearing this gold crossed necklace andthe sunlight shined through and was beaming off
of it, and I remember standingthere and I thought, I think this
might be love. I think thismight be what love feels like. And

(00:25):
right after that we received a phonecall and because they had a foster son
who was there who was a pedophile, I couldn't go there. And they
said, oh, well, shecan stay the weekend with you though,
and so I ended up staying theweekend and then going back into the group
home and then later into another fostercare. So I thought, Okay,
what I'm going to do is theopposite of what I know. That's what

(00:49):
I'm going to do. And Istarted doing something when my boys were really
young, and I started going ondates. So once a month, one
on one each of my sons andthen my daughter, we would go out.
They could pick wherever they wanted togo, whatever they wanted to do,
and it morphed into this beautiful thingwhere I began to discover them and

(01:12):
who they are and their personalities. But I wanted my boys to know this
is how you treat a woman, and I wanted my daughter to know this
is how you should be treated. But this is also how you should treat
a man. Like let's not geta twisted woman. There's women out there
who have used just as well.So this is how you treat men,
and this is how you're to betreated. And one by one, whenever

(01:34):
they got their first job, thefirst thing they did is Mom's time for
a date. Where do you wantto go? We're going to go out.
And I remember my oldest son thenight before he moved away. He
said, Mom, he said,we're not even on the same plane.
For the amount of respect that Ihave for you, you don't. You
don't even realize it. He said, you're the one who taught me.

(01:57):
How do you man? He said, I get compliments from women because of
what you taught me and how youtrained me, because I knew early on
I was not raising boys, Iwas raising men. It's the law of
reciprocity. Whatever we plant today,it will reap. We will get a
harvest from that. So if wewant a different tomorrow, we have to

(02:21):
be willing to plant a different today. What can I plant differently with my
children so that they yield a differentcrop than I did and their children right,
and we create this ripple effect thatgoes on for generations. And he
told me, he said, Iget compliments from women because of you.
Something I taught them is called conscientiouschoice. Like number one, if a

(02:43):
woman says no, no means no. But the other thing is are they
conscious enough to say yes or no? Are they Have they taken drugs?
Have they taken alcohol? Did theyjust go through some sort of trauma?
So I taught them also a conscientiouschoice. Are they conscious enough to really

(03:06):
make a decision to say yes?If they're not, you walk away?
And he would, he would. He had this situation where she was drunk
and she tried to be intimate withhim and he said, no, we're
not. We're not going to dothis. And he said, those compliments
and those decisions they come from you, Momp, because you taught me that.
And he said, before you cantake a mountain, you have to

(03:29):
learn how to climb, and youtaught me how to climb. And I
have a piece and said, okay, I can release you. Now you
go walk your journey babe. Hmmm, oh so beautiful. Oh I love
that. Oh he's right. Yetyou definitely taught him how to be a
beautiful man and man. That isthat is profound, and that is that

(03:53):
is, that is a man.I think so many, so many people
don't understand exactly what a man is, and that's exactly what your son is.
We funding he learned that from you, a woman. Let that be
just a reminder to all those beautifulwomen out there who are raising children on

(04:14):
their own. You can train aman, you can't and train him well.
Wow, profound, absolutely profound.Well, I want to thank you

it's we're safer, We're safe.So continue to do what you're doing it
and continue to share your life withthe world because it's it's shining brightly and
we need it right now more sothan ever before. Thank you so much,
Joseph again, thank you for this, Thank you for you doing you
and just being willing to come alongsideus. And you're just you're such a

(05:04):
beautiful man, you have such abeautiful spirit, and I think that you've just
